Worst service. Tonight we tried to order from a pizza place. When our food was almost a half hour late we called the pizza place and found out they did not even start on our order; they said the issue was with Grubhub. Irritated by how bad the service is, I decided to contact customer service through chat to check the status of our order and cancel my Grubhub membership. An irritated customer service rep through chat canceled our food order instead of the grubhub membership . When I told this person to stop they claimed the order was already canceled. I spoke with a customer service rep over the phone at the same time and was told our order wasn’t canceled. At the same time I am on the phone with customer service the rep in the chat said the order was not yet canceled because she was on hold; she deliberately and intentionally proceeded to cancel the order when it was not already canceled. This experience was so bad I have decided to never use GH again. Right now I am on the phone waiting to talk to a supervisor to get a refund on my GH membership, and have been on hold for 30 minutes. Edit: I was on hold for over an hour then was hung up without speaking to someone. I am now BATTLING with Grubhub to get my account deleted and they want me to take so many extra steps to permanently delete the account. This reason ALONE is a reason to never ever use grubhub. Literally no one anywhere wants to spend HOURS trying to delete an account!!!!!

Horrible driver. First, food was late. Second, I declined contactless delivery. Third, she called and said she was leaving my food at the front door meanwhile my directions said to NOT LEAVE AT THE FRONT DOOR AND TO CALL. I go outside and she isn’t even at the right adress. I complain to her after giving her a 20% tip prior. I should not be forced to tip prior to service or I should have the option to change my tip. I understand she took the time and the gas to deliver but if you provide a less than adequate service then you should not be tipped over 15%. After I have her my feedback she said she didn’t understand what the big deal was. Completely incompetent, completely. If someone does not want to follow directions given then they should not take the order. I hope there is a way I can block future deliveries from this driver. If my +$50 order was left on a different doorstep and I didn’t receive it I would never be using this service again. Please start having reviews and ratings of your drivers available to us the consumer. Your system needs improvement. I should have the right to know if someone delivering my food is constantly late, forgets to check the order, can not follow directions, or simply does not show up. Thank you for your time.

Double dipping on your $$. So they obviously charge you fees , they have to in order to keep the business operating. That’s fine , it is what it is , my problem is that they charge you a delivery fee , not the restaurant , who is the one actually delivering your food . I was actually so angry at the restaurants like “how dare they charge me a delivery fee when I’m still expected to tip the driver and I know they aren’t giving that fee to the driver.” Nope this is grubhub just charging you more money for something that they literally have no part or burden in helping complete . A delivery fee charged by the app that facilitated the order , they literally just make the menu available to you and forward your order to the restaurant, and collect a service fee for that… the audacity to charge DOUBLE the service fee for a delivery fee by people who aren’t even in the same city as the people delivering. Horrible business practice and the customer service is a joke . Someone walks out of the restaurant with your order by accident ? Not their problem … Order inexplicably cancelled? Not their problem you’ll get the money (that they took immediately) back in 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS(after it’s sat in their account a few days collecting interest for them or so they can use it a few days investing for financial gain) YOUR ORDER WILL BE , ON AVERAGE, 40% MORE EXPENSIVE DUE TO THEIR FEES

Never using this service again. I placed an order last night at 8pm. I was told the order would arrive at 9:30. After three calls, two text conversations and 5 hours later I never received my order. The first two conversations plus the first text conversation said the food would be delivered and remade and I was even told that they were in contact with the driver. By 1am I had had enough and I was very vocal with my frustration. The only compensation I was told I would receive was 10% off my next order and a refund. Great. My money back and an extra $4 next time I decide to use this service. I tried to explain that the compensation was very lackluster and I was unhappy with my situation, and the GrubHub person told me I should try ordering something else At 1:30am? Even after explaining how unrealistic this compromise was, I was told for the fifth time of the night that they were “sorry for my inconvenience” and asked what else they could do for me. Extremely unsympathetic and I will never use Grubhub again. You better hope you’re in a highly populated area. The order is confirmed no matter if there are any drivers in the area. If not, just be ready to accept an apology for an inconvenience. And as a side note. I would have driven to pick up my order if I was told it wasn’t coming. I know I’m paying at least a 20% mark up for the delivery. I’m tipping after that too. The point was I was told in multiple occasion it was coming, just a terrible delay. Ridiculous.

Extremely bad service. The objective Truth on Grubhub is the service you get for how much of your hard earned dollars that you have to pay is Extremely horrible and I’m saying that because not only is it the truth I am an OG when it comes to Grubhub I was going to order 3 sausage biscuits, for 2 bucks each and it came out to 17 dollars, and I have made this order before but no matter what my food is always cold and I only live about 10 minutes from the strip mall that has almost every restaurant, Not only that sometimes my bags are opened already when it should be sealed and nonetheless that’s way to much money to be paying FYI !! If you pay for the Grub hub gold or what ever your paying 10 bucks a month for free shipping which TBH with the mount of money you pay up front without Gold is how much your going to be paying anyways after gold if you add up the 10 bucks a month along with the food and the tip your going to pay, it’s more than it should be and despite paying 17 to 40 bucks an order you going to get crappy service unless your just having a lucky week 🙁Nothing but scam artists that take your money and give you something that’s ultimately not worth your money or the time of day or night to spend ordering it playing and simple, the most garbage horrible service I have paid for and now with inflation I can even really afford to eat and grub hub don’t make it any better. Thanks for nothing.

Finally! This Grubhub site is very hard to find!!!!. Someone, must tell customers bout the incredible ripoff you receive by ordering from Grubhub!!!! Do not, do not, do not, order from Grubhub! Waste of your hard earned money and time! I am a very good tipper, even allowing many mistakes when I order grocery items. Still, with my gracious attitude towards companies that deliver food, companies that provide food items, I cannot abide Grubhub’s consistent goof ups of my orders, I don’t ask for much and I have very, specific instructions that I give to the driver, calling, always, my apartment lobby to let them in, still, there are mishaps, over charging getting no refunds?, (I still tip, always, reasonable amounts that most people would like!) I consistently cannot understand the drivers when they call (they don’t need to call if they follow my explicit instructions!!!!) and even the (Dunkin Donuts especially!!!)restaurants people on the phone, I cannot understand. I have taught (public school for 35 years…)in many schools as a teacher and I am appalled at they, the drivers and employees, cannot speak English!!!! Communication with customers should be a job requirement!!!! How is anyone hired, when they cannot speak understandable English????????? GOD help us!!!!

Bad communication. So i ordered food obviously, and was given a wait time. I am guessing that this includes time for food to cook and for the driver to deliver said food. In my circumstance i ordered food around 12:05 at noon, the app said that the food would be delivered estimated 55-60 minutes. So i waited till time and still no text, call, email.. nothing, so i decided to make a couple of phone calls and spoke to a grubhub customer service agent and they told me that the driver will be on their way shortly. This all could have been avoided if the app tells you when the driver is running late or that my food got completed and is waiting on a driver. They should make setting in the app that lets you choose what kind of text messages you receive.(like when the food has been finished, and when the driver has gotten the food and headed your way) hopefully they see this and understand i am not happy with the lack of communication but still want the food. Shortly after i got told to wait, my order got cancelled now j dont know if this is because the agent said “hey ill take care of it for you” or if it is just they dont want to deliver. Definetly needs more customer service and communication without having to call someone.

App Hiccups. I’m only leaving a one star review because this issue needs to be addressed. I have all three holy trinity of food delivery apps, uber, dash, and grubhub. Grubhub has been my go-to since the service fees are always lower than the other two. On top of which, I have grubhub+ which gives me credits on my orders. I’ve been using grubhub for years, but come this January, something changed. It used to be I can use credits to deduct my total at the checkout page, but despite accumulating $8 of credits, I’ve tried on numerous occasions to go to checkout and not be able to use my credits, which in turn made me decide to give up and cook that day instead. On the last occasion I decided to text customer service and see if they can resolve the issue. They decided to just reduce $6 on my order, but the credit issue is unresolved. On top of which, the customer rep who was helping me just abruptly ended the convo, had two more customer rep come in, view the chat, and just leave. It wasn’t until the fourth person, which I assume to be a supervisor came that came up with the $6 fix. I should mention in no way during our conversation was I rude or used profanities. Seemingly the original customer rep didn’t know how to answer my question and just decided to leave without a word. I will withhold my judgement and let you decide whether that was an appropriate customer service response. But fix the credits problem and I will fix the one star review, thanks.

GrubHub & Their Drivers are Horrible. Have paid fees, delivery charges AND 20% tips on every order, not because I like spending twice as much to get food, but because I liked supporting local restaurants and drivers. Never again. A restaurant called when the driver had just left to tell me that the “driver forgot” the side orders. I know the restaurant probably made the mistake, but once the driver picks it up, the restaurant is paid and the mistake now becomes GH’s. I used the text button in the app - driver doesn’t answer. Used the call button in the app - driver doesn’t answer. I can see he’s within one block of the restaurant - and it’s only four blocks to my house. So I wait. My security cameras go off, but not my front door. I go outside and the driver has parked so that he can leave my order at the curb (not at the door as instructions state) without being detected. He takes off but has to make a u-turn to come back down the street, so I stop him and tell him what I’d been trying to reach him for. He says, “it’s not my fault. Call the restaurant.” GH tells me when I call them that there’s nothing they can do because they can’t get ahold of a driver once they accept a new order. So, I’ll just stop putting a third party in-between the restaurant and me and just “call the restaurant” from now on. What’s worse is if you go to Reddit and read the comments these GrubHub drivers make about their customers, it’s horrendous and completely unconscionable.

Drivers are unprofessional and Grubhub backs them. So I preferred from grubhub last night because I was exhausted from working all day and when my driver got to the restaurant he started texting me which I’ve shown grubhub to ask the restaurant to speed up my order and they were busy at the time. So fast forward a few minutes I get a call from the restaurant saying the driver had an additude with them and left without my food and the manager offered to drive it to me. I was so grateful that he offered but I went to pick it up seeing as it wasn’t the restaurants fault it was the grub hub drivers fault. So I went to pickup my cold food and called an emailed grubhub about the driver and all the did was give me 10 percent off my order. And said I was reimbursed for the order that never got picked up. Well I paid for the cold food at the restaurant because again it wasn’t there fault all this happened i feel I should atleast get a free meal or that meal should have been paid for by grubhub seeing as it was there fault. I’ve worked in the food industry in the past and understand how hard it is on them so it also really bother me knowing that a driver they employe gave these young girls working at the restaurant an additude. I will no longer order from grubhub so there 10% is pointless seeing as I can’t trust to get my food with them. Please be cautious about using them since they think it’s ok to employee people like this.

Chat Rep.. My driver delivered my food to my work address instead of my house. I’m not upset about that, mistakes happen, and he delivers to my work address all the time. I went on to chat with a rep because I just wanted to have it redelivered and for the old food to get thrown away because I don’t work today, my job is closed on weekends, I can’t get down there to throw it away, and it’s not my fault that the food is sitting outside. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He put my order in again and essentially told me that he can’t help me with the disposal and promptly left the chat without even trying to resolve the issue other than reordering my food. I didn’t even get a coupon this time. To say I was upset that he just exited the chat without solving the food disposal issue, is an understatement. THANKFULLY the lady who helped me out when I called, is asking the other driver to go back and dispose of the food. That’s literally all I wanted. I do a lot of business through this company but the last few months I’ve had nothing but issues. Anddd just dropped this down to one star because the woman I spoke to on the phone lied to me. Drove passed my job yesterday and the food was still sitting there. I promptly got all of my money back and I will never order from this company again. Cancelled my plus and my family and friends will be doing the same. I don’t care what the circumstances are, if your employees LIE to your customers, it looks bad on the entire company.

A little shady business practice?. I use the app a fairly good amount, and deal with the prices, general fees etc., stuck with it for the most part even when they no longer offered the Grubhub cash after you spent a certain amount like they had done. App works fine, however I recently switched my payment method to my Venmo account since I had some money in there. By doing so venmo alerts me with a receipt any time I purchase something. I recently had an order through Grubhub where I noticed they had adjusted the final price(Venmo emailed me regarding the adjustment) after I had already paid, only by 47 cents, however this made wonder how often they had done this in the past, and why this happens in the first place etc etc… I did contact customer service who gave me a refund of 47 cents, which thanks I suppose. What they had refused to do thus far, is explain this entire process in more detail regarding price adjustments, which is concerning to say the least. Not one of the avenues I had used so far has gotten back to me. Hard for me to ever use this app again since now I can’t trust the company, and also the lack of responsiveness is making me write this review admittedly. If for nothing else, than just to spread awareness that this may not be an isolated event.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. This morning I received a notification from my bank that grubhub took out their $10 fee for grubhub plus. Given what’s going on in the world right now the last thing on my mind when dealing with a sick child was to cancel my membership so I called customer service only a few short hours after I was charged and the charge was even still pending and customer service told me that there was no way they will refund it but they’re sorry. And then asked to speak with a supervisor and she informed me that they have a no refund policy and that even though my son was sick and I’ve been dealing with that and the fact that I am a single mother who recently lost her job due to this coronavirus I can’t afford a luxury such as free delivery on food that I won’t even be ordering. I was only told that again they have a no refund policy and that at least I still have the rest of the month to have free delivery even after explaining I won’t be ordering food due to my sick child and the fact that I have no income coming in right now and they still could have cared less and tried to do absolutely nothing to make it OK. I will never order from GrubHub again because I think it is ridiculous for a company to be more worried about $10 and making money right now as opposed to looking out for people like myself who have been greatly affected by this coronavirus as well.

Great for receiving food when your tired after work. I really enjoy this app and many others like it. I would like to make a suggestion to improve you all’s app. I live in an apartment building there may be people hanging outside the door way, your drivers are sometimes lazy to see who they are passing the food to. I would suggest that you all create a coupon scan thing, so that the original person who actually ordered gets their food and that no random person is getting the food and stealing from you all and wasting redeliveries. Or do like door dash and have it to where if you are picking up an order you show the name of the person who ordered the food from your phone app, something like that but in reverse. This time its the customer who order that has to show the app with their name on the order. You all’s app is basic , so that anyone can steal from the customer who actually paid for the food and now you have a thief who received free food, smh. This will be helpful for people who live in apartment/duplex buildings . Some drivers are lazy and also eating customers food as well but I see you guys have that part in the app under missing food , Im guessing, many bad experiences with unprofessional people, like the drivers and thieves .

Under a mile away my food was cold.. GrubHub... idk what y’all are doing but this was the worst wait I’ve ever had for food less than a mile from me- under 15 city blocks and my food was cold and soggy. I live downtown so all my driver had to do was make a few right and left turns then presto! he’s right in front of my door! But no- it took an hour of no updates, no car icons on the map, no calls, one text to my driver who kept getting lost cause the app sent him AWAY from my building - it’s a brand new building, too! Properly lit, you can see it from the highway, near the baseball stadium... no excuse!!! When he arrived the poor guy was too confused to even park properly so he just came to a halting stop in front of the building, put his flashers on, hopped out with a million apologies- my god! He looked so flustered and frustrated I felt so bad for him! He was a sweet guy too! I don’t want a refund either! I just want GrubHub to fix their ish so drivers can have proper navigation and not feel frustrated when delivering food to their customers on quiet, game-less, Sunday nights. This isn’t even the first time I’ve had issues in my city with GrubHub, the general consensus is this: if the driver hadn’t delivered to the address before with other delivery apps or just opted out of the GrubHub app and used either Apple or Google Maps independently, the drivers then have issues getting to deliveries to their destinations.

Horrible service. First off their GPS can never find my home. Every time the food comes late and cold/soggy. Second I bought $35 worth of food that was never delivered to my door even though they app said it was delivered. I went through their help service and the person told me since it says delivered they cannot refund the money to me but they could offer me a coupon for 10% off my next purchase. I said that I would either like my money back or the food that I ordered. Again they refused. Then I said I want to become a Grubhub driver, just check that the food was delivered, and eat for free all day. After some time the person agreed to give the full refund “as a courtesy”. When I asked why that is a courtesy and not a standard the person said they gave me the full refund and will not get the 10% off coupon that I never wanted. That person’s before I could answer said I was taking to long and hung up. The next person then said that the food was set for pick up not delivery. Once I told them in had proof otherwise they said it was my fault for not going out to the delivery person’s car to get the food. I did not order to walk out to some random person’s car I bought it to be delivered to the door. After realizing the person was just trying to give me the run around I ended the chat. On top of it all when I looked at the receipt Grubhub charged the restaurant for the refund even though it was their Grubhub driver that failed to do their job.

How on earth do they have 4.8 stars?!. The quality of Grubhub must depend on the area because we have NEVER had a smooth delivery with them, yet we’ve never had any issues with UberEats or DoorDash. Grubhub is HORRIBLE. Food arrives super late if it ever arrives at all! One driver apologized profusely stating that her COMPANY credit card had been denied upon paying for our food at the restaurant so she had to wait 45 minutes for customer service to assist her. Thankfully, she insisted that the restaurant remake our food so it would be warm for us. We’ve waited & waited for several orders & called customer service to find out what the hold up is, only to have our orders CANCELED in which “no further information as to why, can be given at this time, but we apologize for the inconvenience.” Seriously?! I’m pregnant, I have a 2 year old & when I order food for delivery, it’s not because I’m lazy, it’s because I’m having a moment of desperation & a NO SHOW order is NOT cool. Some of our favorite restaurants have switched to Grubhub & I’ve told them all of our horror stories & they’re seriously thinking about going back to UberEats or DoorDash. If you’re not able to be consistent in certain areas Grubhub, you’ll only damage your rep & lose clients. If you’re not ready &/or equipped to deliver in our area, pull yourselves until you are!

Mostly reliable. Mostly reliable, but not all of the time. Some of the time the drivers do not read the clear and simple delivery instructions telling them to call me when they’ve arrived because I work in a warehouse. The last couple of times they say my foods been delivered when it hasn’t been and I’ve had to request a refund. I called the driver at least 4 times but my call got forwarded each time. I have no idea what happened to that food in this specific instance but it’s not the first time I’ve had to kind of walk a driver through to getting my order delivered. One time I ordered and it had been an hour over estimated delivery time (restaurant was less than a mile away). Finally I got ahold of the driver and he says they didn’t have the drink I wanted. My food showed up cold. I know they’re working hard and maybe customers have been rude in the past. If that’s the case, please tip your drivers as a customer, but also, Grubhub, make sure the drivers are communicating with customers. I’m diabetic so it’s actually pretty bad when I’ve been working all day and suddenly my low blood sugar hits and I realize I haven’t eaten all day and need food.

The customer is always right even when they’re wrong.. We love Grubhub! We have never had an issue with any of our orders. Our food from Smashbox was, as always, hot and delicious! And although the order was supposed to be delivered a bit later than expected, it arrived 10 minutes earlier than the initial time we were given! We had gotten a message from Grubhub that our order was running behind. A+ for that alone! We accidentally ordered one too many burgers because I couldn’t make up my mind and had added a few to choose from, meaning to delete one of them before submitting our order. Well, I forgot to delete the one I didn’t want and we tried to contact Grubhub and also our driver Helen to see if the order could be adjusted (I hate wasting food and we don’t care for leftovers). Helen promptly texted me to let me know that Smashbox could not adjust it once placed. No biggie, it was my mistake...I get it. Helen, our driver, is fabulous! Courteous and friendly. Smashbox is fabulous! Even though, I’m the one that made the mistake, I got a message stating that our bill was adjusted and we weren’t charged for the extra burger! Talk about great customer service! A happy customer is a returning customer! Thank you!

HORRIBLE. Every time I order there’s a problem. One order was taking forever so I called the restaurant and they tell me have no connection with Grubhub, so then took me an hour with support to get it cancelled and get a refund. Another order I realize it’s past the estimated delivery time and still no updates. So again I cal the restaurant to confirm the order and they say the foods been done for 30 mins but no one has come to pick it up. I get on a chat with support and they tell me they can confirm that there’s a driver currently at the restaurant picking up my order and he’s about to be on his way to me. Okay fine. Then 5 minutes later I finally get an update on my tracker that there’s a driver ON HIS WAY TO PICK UP MY ORDER. So support flat out lied, and trust me I saved that chat transcript. Anyways I literally watch the guy on the tracker drive his way 10 mins to the restaurant to pick up my order that was SUPPOSED to be already picked up and on its way to me. Took almost 2 hours to get the food from the time I ordered. And if I hadn’t chatted with support who know how much longer it would have taken. Just unreliable and a pain. Never using again.

Terrible delivery service. I have used this company 4 times in the past two months and twice had major issues including this time where my delivery was supposed to be here between 815 and 835, at 845 I got a message from Yelp asking my to review the order but it had never arrived! I called the support number and she indicated the food was ready but the driver wasn't there to pick it up and it would be at least 930 am at the earliest before my order arrived. Unbelievable, I canceled my order because of course no body wants to eat cold food that has been sitting at least 2 hours. The other issue also involved a late delivery of over 1.5 hours the driver called and left me messages telling me they were on their way but it was over 45 minutes after the second call that they finally showed up with my cold food. I called and complained to grub hub and even offered to send them the voicemail and asked for a refund and they refused they said they could send a 10% off coupon I said don't bother I won't be using your service again. It's one thing of someone is late once in awhile but when it's good and 50% of the time and the management does nothing about it then that is unacceptable. I will not order from any company that uses only grub hub or they will never improve. I will only go straight to another ap or straight to the restaurant and ask if they use grub hub and tell them of any complaints using them.

Going back to Uber Eats. I decided to give GH+ a chance when they offered a promotion. Ultimately, we realized this was the lesser option for delivery services. First, the Service Fees are astronomical. It’s not helpful to give me free delivery when service fee is >$10 and I am still obviously going to tip the actual driver. Second, I strongly prefer that Uber Eats has a “priority” order option which GH+ does not. As I write this review I am waiting on an order from a restaurant only 10 mins away (not during a prime time). I can see my driver is going in the opposite direction and has been wandering around the same spot for a while so I have to assume he’s delivering to someone else first. The ETA is almost an hour. I don’t knock drivers for doubling up on orders to make the most they can, but GH would really come out on top by having a priority option OR creating a routing experience multiple orders are in the same direction. Again, I will still tip well despite pulling the short straw in this series of orders (somehow I always do) but I know others won’t do this and it creates a bad experience for drivers who are clearly trying to hustle harder. Ultimately, I only use these services when I’m exhausted or in the middle of juggling meetings and can’t get out for food/cook and I greatly appreciate the convenience but I don’t really want to pay an exorbitant amount for cold, soggy food that has traveled several towns.

Iffy customer service. Honestly it wasn’t the food that was the problem...it was the driver...at first the ETA was between 9:15-9:25 which made sense considering it’s FAST FOOD...it took a while for someone to pick the food up which I understand due to COVID but while a driver was able to pick up the food or was en route to pick up the food within the 9:15-9:25 ETA when the time moved to 9:35-9:45 I was confused on what was happening so I went to track the order to see that the driver was stuck at the same location for at LEAST 15 minutes...I had attempted to contact her to see exactly how far she was so I can try to figure out the eta again but she took about 20 minutes to respond to me...by the time she did respond she said she was coming to me (which I felt was a lie) but nonetheless I still waited for her to arrive to which my order was delivered literally an HOUR after I ordered it..my drink was watery (which I know isn’t the restaurants fault) and the food was on the verge of being cold...lack of communication is the main reason for this rating and the fact that I couldn’t get in contact with Grubhub themselves makes it worse...seriously debating if I’m going to be using this service for future deliveries cuz it doesn’t make sense for it to take an HOUR for fast food and that I was unable to get in contact with customer support

Grubhub. Hello, We waited 2 hours. I contacted Javier from chat and he confirmed that the order was delayed with an ETA of 10:43PM approximately. He offered a $10 reward which seemed dismissive since we were already waiting well over an hour at that point. Shortly after, we received a message that our order was canceled and to expect a refund in 5 days. This is highly ineffective to say the least. Javier mentioned that there was a shortage of drivers when our order was originally placed. That isn’t my concern and if it was going to be a problem we should have been warned ahead of time instead of delaying our order not once but twice to then finally cancel the order anyway. Not really sure what a refund which takes up to 5 days does for our current situation since we still were left with no real reason for the cancellation until it was too late. This is very disappointing customer service and could have been avoided entirely if we were told upfront what was happening and how long this could have taken in real time instead of the customer having to check in on the situation and then to be offered $10 dollars for our inconvenience is absurd and borderline insulting. I would hope this is a one time occurrence and doesn’t directly reflect on the type of business you want your customers to purchase food through with such lack of communication to your end users directly. Thank you for your time.

Will block you for anything. They blocked my account in sept I have followed the email steps and still have not yet received any response. They will block you for any little thing especially when some things are out of your control. For example I will have two deliveries my first delivery pick up would be my last drop off. The time stamp would be to drop my second delivery off first at 3:38 but my first delivery time stamp would be 3:36 how is that even possible ? I had NUMEROUS deliveries like this one. They will constantly send me alerts about delivering orders late, but how when this is what the apps/system suggests me to do. I’m only following what’s giving to me. Also you would get a delivery request but the restaurant would just be getting it when you arrive and you’ll have to wait for the order to be done. I put in the app “order not started until I arrived “ you would think they will adjust your time stamp to deliver. You can’t put a time on how fast food is prepared. A lot of things needs to be updated so future drivers like myself won’t have such a headache when trying to make a living. I started this in July and I’m already blocked in September and as of currently still no response or update regarding my account. You guys should get customer service employee’s to help with blocked accounts instead of having drivers waiting and responding to emails that never receive a reply!

WOW...slowest delivery EVER!!. I don’t know how this gets such a high rating with all the negative reviews I see... Ordered for the very first time tonight at 4:45pm. They originally claimed a 40-50 min. delivery window. It just kept getting pushed back and back and back. I tried to contact Grubhub to see what on earth was going on over an hour later, but it just kept bouncing me back to the Order review page. I finally called the restaurant at 6:45 to see if my order had even been picked up yet, and they told me that a driver had JUST walked in. The food had been sitting there, getting cold, for well over an hour!! So then it was another 45 minutes after THAT before the driver pulled in my driveway...I was tracking his route and I have no idea why he went the way he went. He went MILES out of his way!! I don’t even know how he GOT to the area he was in!! So what should’ve been about a 15-20 min drive, took almost an hour!! I had preheated my oven because I just knew the food would be cold by the time we got it. And of course, it was. I’m an avid doordasher, and I have NEVER had even close to the delays or problems I had with this one first order of mine!! I’m sorry Grubhub....you guys take WAY too long with everything!!! Never again, unless I’m cool with waiting HOURS for food!! P.S. this was an over $65 order...at that rate I could’ve driven there myself in shorter time, or dragged my whole family out and we could’ve been in and out in shorter time!!

The worst App & delivery people!!!. I’ve used the app several time and the delivery of the food was on time majority of the times I’ve ordered but my experience today was awful. I ordered my food at 12:00, with the delivery ETA of 12:45. I checked the status on my app and it said my food was delivered at 12:24. I spoke with customer service via chat and they stated they spoke with the delivery driver and he was three minutes away and my food would be delivered shortly. Another 30 mins went by no food. I called the restaurant this time and they stated my food was ready and had been siting there for 45 mins. I called GrubHub customer service to see what was going on, the customer service guy apologized offered me $10 off my next order and said he would call the driver. He got back on the phone and said he attempted to call the driver multiple times but the driver turned off his phone. I was outraged, the customer seemed rep gave me two options, cancel order for a full refund or have them deliver my order that has been sitting there for an hour at this point. GruHub offered new real solutions and it was almost 2:00 by this time and I was starving!!! I deleted the app, and never downloading again!!! I’ll stick to Eat24, at least on their app, I can call the driver directly and if something like this happens they still deliver the food and provide a full refund, now that’s true customer service. I guess I’ll go make lunch now.

Not happy.... So today I ordered Taco Bell through Grub Hub (obviously). It was like my fourth or fifth time doing so, all of the other times were all good. But today I ordered it at 1:02pm and it usually takes less than 30 minutes for them to be at my house with my food. I noticed the time for my ETA was getting later and later, so I call and tell them what’s going on. I was super nice because accidents happen and I’m an understanding person. They tracked the driver and said I should get a call from them in the next ten minutes. Ok. I get text ten minutes later saying my food should be there around 2:17pm. Ok great. 2:30pm...still not here. I got annoyed and called again to cancel my order. All was fine, she didn’t seem very sorry but whatever. I’m probably not going to order again, just because getting my food isn’t guaranteed. The only bad part about all of this, is that I had a hungry two year old waiting for his food that never came. Of course I gave him snacks to keep him happy until his actual food came, but he needed a real meal. I couldn’t drive anywhere to get food because my baby was sleeping. Also I’m breastfeeding, so when you don’t eat for a while it messes with your milk supply. Once my baby woke up we went to DQ. Because we had a late lunch, that meant no nap, and because no nap, I couldn’t get my shower for today. So thank you grub hub for making me hungry and stinky. That is all. (I never write reviews, I honestly just want to know how this even happened.)

No Guaranteed Delivery Driver. Ordered my food on a Sunday morning at 8:00am. Estimated delivery time was 40-50 minutes. It came upon 50 minutes and the tracker still showed that the food was being prepared, along with adjusting the estimated delivery time to 10:00am. I called the restaurant and they told me the food had been ready for 20 minutes but nobody had showed up to pick up the food. The app, at least at this point, doesn’t say who the delivery driver is or allow you to contact the driver, if there even was one assigned yet. I called grub hub (very pleased they have customer service on a Sunday morning) and the first option they gave me was to wait for the food and if there was anything wrong with the food to call them back again and say there was something wrong with it (it was pancakes and eggs, chances are after them being ready for over an hour they would not be how anyone would want them to be). The second option was to just cancel the order and receive my money back in 3-5 business days (4-6 days with it being a Sunday). So then at this point, of course, I need to go find a different means of breakfast. While breakfast is not the biggest deal, this is not a pleasant way to start a Sunday, nor to have your one and only experience with Grubhub to tell your friends about. There are many good reviews out there about Grubhub, I just wish I had the same experience as the others.

First order was wrong. Decided that since we’re in quarantine and my car battery died, I’d use the app to order dinner from KFC. At first it seemed like an easy and seem less process to order my meal and it said it would take about 20-30 minutes (the restaurant is literally down the street from me). So I waited and decided to check the status, the time kept getting pushed back which was pretty annoying but I thought ok whatever not that big of a deal. So after almost an hour my food finally arrived, the driver was nice and kept me up to date with my delivery. When I got my food I thought cool this is pretty neat getting my fast food delivered now, but when I opened the bag my order was completely wrong. Now I’m not saying one or two items were wrong but the whole meal with the exception of the drink 😅 I ordered a 5pc strip combo with 2 sides (mashed potatoes and gravy, and Mac and cheese) but I got popcorn chicken with wedges, a chicken sandwich with pickles, and 2 biscuits. Needless to say I was upset that my order was that screwed up, but I was happy that reporting the issue gave me an instant refund from GrubHub so that was cool. I’m willing to give them another chance and just placed another order from Panda Express but if this happens again then I’ll just delete the app 😕

No way to know if the order was actually placed. I’m not doing a one star review because I understand this doesn’t happen every time, but the experience was so bad that I’ll probably never use GrubHub again except to drain a non-refundable gift card. My partner and I decided to use Grubhub to order a really nice meal at a steakhouse. I was surprised when I placed the order to see it would be ready for pick up in 30 minutes despite being placed during the dinner rush on a Saturday night. So we go to pick it up right when the app says it will be done. Right as my partner goes inside to get it, I get a call from GrubHub telling me the order was cancelled. She comes back to tell me that the hostess said they were too busy for Grubhub and they wouldn’t have confirmed any order given that they weren’t doing any takeout that night because they were at capacity. The problem here is that Grubhub just takes your money and hopes the order is filled. If it isn’t filled, you just get your money back. So when you spend 30-40 minutes waiting for your food, you have no clue if it’s actually being made. During that time you’ve wasted thinking your order is being prepared, you could have just ordered from a different restaurant (or used an app that actually confirms their orders with restaurants). And of course there’s no sort of compensation for Grubhub’s poor design ruining your evening, you just get your money back. I won’t be a returning customer.

Stick to doordash. This was my first order through grubhub and I am EXTREMELY disappointed. If I could, I would rate everything 0/5. To start off, when it said my order was delivered I was expecting it to be right outside my door but instead I found it behind my car in the driveway. When I first messaged the driver He claimed that there was a snake on my front steps. When I check my camera the driver doesn’t come close to my door or even bother to look at it. And when placing the food down, he basically threw it on the ground. I’m not sure if all drivers are like this but mine was unfortunately appalling. On the camera it shows he quickly came to my driveway just to drop the food and leave. The container of the food broke and to top it all off it was the wrong order! I order one item and got 2 items I had no intention of ordering. On the physical receipt it does say my name and the mistaken order. So I am not sure who messed up because on grubhub it does say my correct order. It’s safe to say I will never order from this app again or recommend it to anyone. My grandma just came out the hospital and I was trying to get her favorite soup for her to eat but it seems this app is far from being professional to even provide a simple order that can safely arrive at my door. From this experience its safe to say I’m going to stick to doordash and if the driver is reading this I’ll be sure to call animal control to take care if that enormous python at my front door 😁

Not using Grubhub again. Really disappointed with the service I got today. I ordered food and received an update that it was delivered but I never received a phone call from the driver . I attempted to call the driver with the number the app provided but I would only get a me voice message to try calling the diner again (which had a different number so I thought that was weird). After multiple times I tried calling the place I order from in which they said they could not help me get in contact with the driver and that I would have to call Grubhub. While switching between apps I happened to open my email and saw an email saying the the driver attempted to call me (using an old number that was not set as my default on my account) and to call the number provided in the email to “avoid further delays from my food” . So I called and was told that the driver called, could not deliver so drove away and that I needed to update my account even though it was updated and my correct number was set as the default . They said they could not refund me and only offer my 50% off my next purchase which means nothing to me because at the end of night I ended up without my food and no solution offer to try to deliver it again and paying for something I did not received with no explanation on why my default number was not use to call me when it was never an issue in the past. Highly dissatisfied and deleting app.

Still not quite there.... I use this app maybe a couple times a month at most when I don’t feel like cooking. The app itself is easy to use but the fulfillment of orders leaves much to be desired. Most of the time it takes much longer than is advertised (e.g. delivery time 45-55min has sometimes taken 90min), food has arrived barely warm despite coming from a few blocks away, drivers don’t know how to read maps (our condo complex is a little confusing but there are maps & they don’t bother looking - I’ve been called & expected to walk out to the front of my complex which I cannot do because I have a small toddler & probably ordered food vector was inconvenient to go out in the first place, & several drivers were rude or unprofessional. That being said, there have been a couple great driver & they have comped delivery fees or given ‘free next delivery’ codes when I’ve contacted the company but I don’t appreciate having to contact them with issues the majority of the times I’ve used the service. Hopefully hey can get it together & maybe take tips from Uber eats to have ratings for drivers separate from just rating the food. I still come back because of the restaurant selection in my area but always keep my fingers crossed that it will arrive in a reasonable time frame & be relatively hot still 😑

Driver stole my food, they “can’t” refund my money. We were staying out of town for a couple of days in a city that supports delivery services like Grubhub. My hometown doesn’t due to it being mostly rural areas (that’s important for later). So we decided to order some food after a long day instead of having to get out. Everything was fine until I got the notification that my food had been delivered (I’m sure you know where this is going). We checked outside the door, no food. We checked the lobby of the hotel, no food. We even checked with the two adjacent hotels, no food. My first instinct is ‘okay, no problem. I’ll just contact customer service and get it refunded, no big deal’. Except they don’t refund your order. Their only solution to their driver thieving your food and you being $40 is to give you app credit. Ideally, that would work for most people. However, remember when I said earlier that I live in a town that doesn’t have Grubhub or other delivery services like this because it’s a rural area? Yeah, well that credit they offer expires after 90 days. So in other words, I basically paid their driver $40 to steal my food and I will not be getting that money back because they “can’t” refund it and I won’t be going anywhere in the next 90 days to be able to use it. Maybe my bank will cancel it, who knows. Anyway, don’t use Grubhub. You’ll get screwed.

Punished for pick up. Evidently I made a mistake and created an order for pick up. With all the fees, I cannot imagine who would use Grubhub to order food from a restaurant if their intention is to pick it up. It’s like throwing away $25. Anyway, the phone eventually rings, and GrubHub says my order is ready for pick up. I of course said I did not order pick up. They said, oh yes you did. They called me back after they talked to the manager, who effectively staged a standoff, saying (to tell me) “your food is ready for pickup.” I said that’s what I heard. And if I had a car, I would gladly pay for my mistake and just drive down to the restaurant. GrubHub customer service said they would not deliver it, and I would be paying for food I did not eat. Their solution was to give me a $10 credit on an uneaten $60 order. This travesty took over an hour because no one at Grubhub customer service could make a decision! That’s not ridiculous. It’s ricockulous. Customer service needs enough authority to resolve these situations without getting some superior out of bed. Offering Grubhub food for pickup is not a service at all. It is a deferment of service. I can’t smother them with praise under these circumstances.

Needs work.. You guys rarely offer discounts/ coupon codes compared to your competitors and you're actually more expensive which seems rather backwards. Drivers should be able to be rated based on the service they've provide. It would show that you cared more about the customers experience if you asked for individual feedback on the people you've vetted to work under your company. Representation is everything and you have plenty that work for you that simply should not, for a choice of better words. It seems you're outsourcing your CSR's for budget purposes however; I have two problems with this. 1. You barely give out coupons especially to your GH + members which I find to be absolutely pathetic therefore you should have the funds to hire quality employees no matter the position. -No excuses. Secondly, you're outsourcing people who don't speak the native language of the country they're answering calls in. That's a major NO NO! And makes no logical sense whatsoever. Additionally, I find that a handful of your chat support agents lack customer service skills specifically empathy and the ability to anticipate the needs of consumers. If you do not know how to provide customer service you don't belong in a customer service role. It doesn't matter if it's indirect or direct. The moral seems rather low and if it stands out you know that it's an issue.

Absolute worst. Worst customer service ever. The delivery ETA for my order kept changing every time I refreshed the page. When it got to an ETA of 45 min after the original ETA I called to find out what was going on. Customer service tried pinning it on the restaurant so I sat on hold while the rep called the restaurant. 14 min later she finally admitted that my food was in fact ready but they didn't have any drivers to pickup my food and had no idea how long it would be until they found someone. She told me I could cancel my order or wait. I asked if I could go pick it up myself and be refunded for the delivery charge and tip that I paid. She said she was taking care of that while we were on the phone and confirmed it was done before I hung up. I drove to the restaurant to pickup my food and as I am pulling in the parking lot, I get a text that my food had been picked up and was on its way to me. Called customer service back to confirm and told him about my previous conversation and he blamed it on a bunch of new employees. He offered me a discount on my next order and I told him to apply the discount to this order bc I won't be using them again. And asked again that they remove the delivery charge and tip bc the previous person failed to do so. Received an email receipt and was still charged the $9 tip despite me driving to pickup my own food and have it already be picked up. Finally after my 3rd attempt the charges were removed.

Horrible. Idk how this app is rated so high they must of paid someone to get app over 4 stars because EVERY time I’ve tried to use grub hub it takes atleast 2 hours to get the food. Not to mention they mess up the order almost every time. First time I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza. When I got the pizza it arrived an hour and 15 minutes past the expected time and the pizza was missing cheese. We called grub hub to let them know they said the wouldn’t refund the money because it was the restaurants fault. So called the restaurant and they told us it’s how the pizza was ordered thru grub hub. In the end I never got even a sorry nor a refund. About a year passes by and I decide to put some trust in grub hub and go for round two. And Again my cheesesteak I ordered came an hour and 15 min later the the expected hour wait. ( 2 hours and 15 min to get my food from a restaurant that’s 10 min away from my house) called and they told me sorry but some one had to physically go to the restaurant order the food, wait for it to be made then driver it. I called the restaurant and they said the didn’t even do business with grub hub any more because they made so many mistakes. WHY would grub hub still offer there food still. And if you do atleast give an accurate time table for delivery. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN Suggest you do the same! - Overpriced delivery/service fees - Horrible customer service - Extremely long delivery Times

Customer Service is AWFUL. I just downloaded the app 2 days ago. I placed an order for a local restaurant, for 2 menu items. My son’s food was fine. My order was messed up and one part of it tasted and smelled off. I contacted customer service with the intent to ask for a partial refund. They simply refunded the entire order, including the driver delivery fee which is simply unethical and awful, it was not the driver’s fault. I told the customer service rep that this isn’t what I wanted, I was only hoping for a partial refund and certainly not to take money away from the driver. She ended the chat immediately. I reached out to Grubhub on social media and they ignored me. I’m never using it again. The restaurant was wrong, Grubhub was more wrong, and did not care. I’m not using this app again. She didn’t even listen or ask how I would best want this resolved. I didn’t want them to simply give my money back. And I’m not allowed to leave a comment on my rating for the restaurant. UberEats it is, don’t use this app. Just nasty business behavior. **update** Grubhub responded to my review and told me to contact them at a link that doesn’t work so they could look into this. Like at this point my mental star rating is -1, it’s only 1 star because the App Store won’t allow 0 rating. I also reached out to them about this on a social media platform where we could speak in real time, and they did not respond to me at all. Absolute trash.

Horrible customer service in the past year. I use Grubhub a lot due to not wanting to have to keep up with restaurants who deliver in my area. It use to be that when you placed your order through Grubhub and and item could not be prepared, a representative from Grubhub would directly call you and ask you if any other item could be substituted. If you said no they would allow you to cancel your order in full, if you said yes they would find a replacement for the order and your order would go though. Now however it seems like their customer service team doesn’t want to call customers or try to make it right. They will just go ahead and refund the item the store can’t provide and you WILL NOT know anything until your order arrives with missing items. Why are we using a delivery app if they can’t even contact the costumers if items won’t be delivered? This has happened multiple times through different restaurants in the past few months. Zero contact from Grubhub like they use to. Even paid for the Grubhub membership so you would think they would want to support their customers but I guess not. I deleted my membership, my information from their site, my app and I’m not going to use them for food delivery anymore as their care of customers has really gone downhill this past year. The customer service agents use to really be on top of things in the past and I have been using Grubhub for years now. Not anymore I’ll be installing DoorDash to give them a shot now.

VERY Hit or Miss. We have ordered from this app several times. Sometimes it’s okay, although it seems like on every order the delivery time gets extended from what they originally tell you (for example it was supposed to take 40 minutes but it actually took 50-60). This happens a lot which in my opinion is not a good business practice. There have been several times (including right now) where the driver seems to sit in one spot and stay there until AFTER the delivery window. And then eventually they get to the restaurant to pick up the food. Because of this many times our food will arrive cold or soggy. This has happened with multiple drivers in our area, so often that we have started using other apps over Grubhub. Also for whatever reason, the app GPS never gets the address right. Usually it’s not a problem but one delivery we had a driver get very lost and couldn’t tell me where he was, and then had the nerve to tell me that it was MY fault that the address was “wrong” or hard to find. I get it, these are tough times especially for delivery drivers and such. But that doesn’t excuse bad business practices, not holding drivers accountable, and a really bad working app. It seems like many other people have had similar problems that date back 1-2 years, which means that higher ups don’t value feedback or just aren’t in the business for customer satisfaction. I’m sorry if it sounds harsh but it seems to be the truth.

The app is better than the service. I have used gh at least 20 times. The app is great, it always works. though it seems inconsistent from restaurant to restaurant in its menu application and usage -sometimes confusing what comes with an item. The service from grub hub employees hasn’t been bad, they tell me when there’s a problem and make it right, so I think the company seems to care (more than I can say for other food delivery services I’ve used which I won’t name here, but it starts with a U!) So I’m loyal to gh in my restaurant delivery patronage anymore. Now you just have to expect though, the restaurants sometimes have issues and cancel your order & your experience depends in large part upon the relationship between that restaurant and gh. Another factor- if you get a driver who treats your food and your time with respect, which isn’t usually a problem. The drivers usually call from the driveway, I don’t know why, most pizza places ring the bell. Sometimes the drivers forget food or spill it. hey this is going to happen if you order from gh 20 or more times. You take your chances, because you don’t want to cook so much, and you don’t want to go out into the public either. Thanks for being there most of the time gh when I’m not cookin’. And shout out to mr. gyro because he is consistently good & fast, never cancels.☮️

not user friendly. The interface of this app is so painstakingly dumb. First of all, I live in a decent sized town, it’s not a major city but there’s a ton of restaurant options. With this grubhub app, those restaurants don’t even pop up when you search by category- you have to type in the restaurant name to get it to come up. I wonder if that’s some kind of under-the-table promotional idea Grubhub has with some restaurants. It’s moronic. This brings me to my next point of restaurants not showing up when they’re not open. I could care less if a restaurant was open to browse the menu!! For me, the app is rendered useless before 8AM, I cant do anything but look at the places I’ve ordered from in the past. The main screen literally just tells you to come back later. If this app is designed to help restaurants gain business and to link customers to places they may have never known existed, Grubhub is doing a pretty pisspoor job. I mean, at least have a live tracking option. On numerous occasions, drivers have had difficulty finding my place of work. Provide a better GPS interface and hirer smarter drivers who actually read the delivery instructions. Don’t bother downloading the app!. Just stick to DoorDash or Uber Eats. Since my very first order it got sent to the wrong address and when they redelivered it, they took about 1hr 30min to arrive when the place I ordered from is only 10min away from my address. I ordered from GrubHub a total of 5 times hoping that the next will be better than the last. They just keep getting worst and worst. Granted, they do give you refunds for missing items or if the food isn’t up to par because of late delivery, but all I really want is to get what I paid for the first time! The last order I made today was missing a drink, and I already knew the process on how to report a missing item. When I reported the missing drink the representative in the chat told me that I’ve received too many refunds/free codes so they wouldn’t be able to refund me for the missing drink. I have to wait 5-10 business days for a so called “specialist” to look at my account and I don’t receive an email within the 5-10 business days then no changes have been made to my account. I just want my $2 and some change back. Get it together grubhub!!!! There’s plenty of people here that are willing to spend money but not on crappy service!!!!

Two strikes, might not get a third. Today was my second horrible experience. Driver parks in a parking lot around the corner for 20 minutes, then marks my food delivered. I texted the fake phone number they get 4 times and called it about 5 or 6 with no response. Call customer service, at first they tell me I don’t exist in their system using the phone number I was calling from, after telling me the wrong number 3 times. Once the guy miraculously finds my account he says it was delivered. I tell him it wasn’t and explain that the driver literally sat in an empty parking lot and he offers me $5 dollars for a $9 meal. I told him no thanks and I hung up. I called back to get another person. They call the driver after managing to find my account instantly and the guy said he was calling a number (mine but all out of order) and that he delivered it on my houses doorstep... I was ordering from the bowling alley I work at... After saying I can send proof the driver basically stole my food and refused to contact me, the offer changed to $25 dollars. I’m giving one more order to use it and then I probably won’t use the service again. Foch from Portland, ME, I hope you enjoyed my Applebee’s and that tip you didn’t deserve. Tip for Grubhub, add a rating system for drivers, I have a ton of friends who have all had a similar experience. If I could report a driver and rate him this review wouldn’t be written, just a bad one for him.

Continually frustrated. So many frustrations with this company. One huge one is when my orders are randomly cancelled, but nobody lets me know for an hour. By the time I’m told I need to figure out different food everything is closed half the time. And it’s usually with no explanation. Delivery time is entirely unpredictable, it will give you an estimate that ends up being literally half of how long it actually takes. But one of the biggest complaints is price discrepancies. I’m not even talking about the ginormous delivery fees, but rather the difference I price of the actual food items as listed on Grubhub compared to the restaurant’s website. I only noticed this recently, but they often charge a higher price for the food itself than the restaurants, which seems so screwy. High delivery fees are one thing, but the food itself is more expensive too?? What?? And so very often my order is missing items or just wrong, so what was I even paying extra for? Lastly, they used to make up for some of these annoyances (at least in my head) with fairly frequent coupons, and that fun wheel thing you spun with every order. It doesn’t feel worth ordering anymore unless I have a coupon, but they took those away (except for the ones that you have to use within like 24 hours of receiving them, which I seem to only get after ordering when I’m not trying to shell out the delivery money twice in 24 hours) so I guess that’s that. Disappointed and hungry.

Grub HUB delivery peeps are LAZY. For the second day in a row I ordered GrubHub one from Taco Bell the other from Papa John’s. I left instructions on both evenings to the floor and the exact room knock on the door of the hotel room and leave in place. I did this because I’m alone in a hotel and I had surgery on my left hip and unable to really walk. the hotel is huge and it’s a five minute walk to the front desk itself. GrubHub drivers even though I left the instructions I did the first night left it in the foyer area of the hotel took a picture and sent it up to my cell phone when I called him and text him he didn’t respond to either。 The second night, the Papa John’s, I never received my order. This time I didn’t even have a phone number to call back except their little five digit text message to tell you it was delivered. This is unbelievable the incompetence just to have some food ordered to my gosh darn freaking room. I’ve never seen such incompetence. Step one order food. delivery driver pick up food. Step 2 Delivery Driver Drive to destination ,look at instructions provided at hand. Step 3. arrive at destination ,get out of vehicle, grab food from vehicle, locate destination( like my fn hotel room) . READ THE FN INSTRUCTIONS!!! Thank youPapa John so I called personally and they made my food for free and delivered it properly.

Overpriced and ridiculous. I ordered food from this app/service and noticed first that they charge an additional fee they don’t mention, which should’ve been my first red flag. But with a coupon on your first order, fine. It was $10 off, and yet I still paid a several dollars over my order subtotal(basically the tip). So it literally just covered the fees, which I was choosing a very close restaurant so it was the smallest delivery fee they charge. My order arrived nearly 20 minutes late and was missing THREE items. There’s not way to log a quick problem with your order like with other similar services so I had to contact their support. Who took at least 5 minutes to just “look up my order details” before even asking what I was missing. When I tell them my missing items they just say, “you’re all set! You’ll get an email for your refund. Is there anything else I can assist with?” Without telling me what the refund is or anything. The email comes and I see they only refunded me part of what was missing, for the the third item. When I asked they said it was “a free part of the order”. It wasn’t. It was part of my combo. They start to list off the prices of my combo items individually and this happened to be the “free” item in it, which is so ridiculous. It was food that was supposed to come as part of my meal, so I should’ve had something come off of the price of the combo. Needless to say, I will never use this app/service again.

Terrible customer service. The only form of customer service they provide is just, essentially, throwing your money back at you. They figure if the wrong item is refunded that that suddenly resolves the issues. They, apparently, have no guidelines upon their presentation of advertised products, they have no guidelines on how to treat their drivers and upon first moment when a complaint is made they take the money allotted to the drivers even if I personally request that that money not be taken from them and if I ask that the tip remain the same since the driver had done their job in a way that exceeds expectations, and they have no guidelines upon how to ensure that food is delivered correctly. Every order that I receive has a missing item, or no cutlery even though I request them, or the entire order is completely different than what is pictured. Then when I make a complaint and say it is not the drivers fault their only form of reparations is that they refund the order but do nothing to ensure that the mistake does not happen again, refund everything including the tip, and just accost the restaurant and the driver. I have been using this app for years now and I am just done with it. I can never receive a meal and enjoy it. Instead it’s a headache of having to speak to customer service, be treated like I’m a liar and that everything was correct, and just feel as if the company is throwing my money at me only to appease me.

Beware of the prices they charge!. As explained by their own CS, some items could have an increase in price even though it shows a lower price on the app. You won’t see within the app, only on your email receipt/credit card. Their poor response for this: “I apologize for the confusion and frustration here! These charges are dictated by the management at each restaurant when they sign up for the app. Certain items have this uptick factored in for delivery based on shop preference.”

Total Disregard of the Public Service Industry. After Tuesdays (May 17) complete disaster in New York City, I refuse to support a company that gives complete disregard for the health and peace of their drivers and the restaurant staff that got dealt this nasty blow. All restaurants involved were completely swamped with orders and major food waste was noted due to no available drivers, who were ALSO swamped. On top of that, the livid customers waiting hours on end for orders, only to take it out on the restaurant staff. Absolutely pathetic and no accountability what so ever. Spread the word and boycott where you can.

These guys are a scam. You most likely won’t get your food. This site adds restaurants to its service but the restaurants never partnered with them in the first place. You will pay for your order but it will never be made because the restaurant doesn’t even know they are on grub hub. They are very persistent as well. If a restaurant asks to be taken off they won’t in most cases. Most restaurants have to send them a cease and desist before they are taken off. All that will happen is you will loose your money.

They don't like Canadians. So yeah save yourself the time of downloading if your in Canada.

App, menus lacking. The menus on the app and website differ greatly from menus directly at the restaurant and there is not a way to add special requests. There are items that I know for sure the restaurant offers that are not listed on the grub hub menu. I have several grub hub gift cards and can pay that way if I order on a regular internet browser but NOT if I order through the app… the only options for payment on the app are credit card, venmo and paypal. Only giving 3 stars because the drivers are typically very prompt. If an item is missing or the order is wrong, it’s not the drivers fault (unless it’s a drink); they are not able to open the bags of food to check for the correct items. I’m fairly certain that the feature to message the driver doesn’t work. I’ve used it several times and never get a response. Since I’ve had many drivers I’d say it’s a downfall of the feature rather than every single driver never responding. Of the times I’ve contacted customer service due to missing or incorrect items, I’ve had 3 agents disconnect the chat on me after stating the issue was resolved when it was not. Drivers are great, food is good, service and customer service are not so great.

Bad Experiences Now Outweigh the Good. My fiance and I have been using Grubhub in Brooklyn for 8+ years, and for a while their customer service was unmatched. If you had an issue with your order or you had a bad experience, they would contact the restaurant on your behalf, and would offer discounts or gift cards if you had a bad enough experience. But over the past few years we've been experiencing more and more issues with our orders, and at some point Grubhub changed their policy and they no longer follow up with the restaurant on your behalf when you have an issue. Their delivery estimates seem arbitrary- three times in the past month, we've waited as the estimated delivery time came and went, only to find out 1.5 hours after ordering that the order was never received or had been cancelled. 3 times! The app also doesn't seem to have live order tracking, like most of their competitors in the space do now. We've moved our business to Door Dash, Caviar, or Postmates. Better restaurant options, fewer issues with the restaurants, and live order tracking.

Continually Unimpressed. I’ve had maybe one experience where my food arrived at the original time. More frequently, my driver changes and the order gets extended by 20 minutes, and then the driver inexplicably changes again and gets extended by another 20 minutes, and then it eventually arrives. Once it never showed up at all. We’re not talking about orders from restaurants light years away. We are talking about places 7 minutes from where I live. And not complex dishes—wings, pizza, something simple. The convenience is nice (and I’m willing to pay for it), but it means very little when the food regularly arrives cold or missing items. Tonight is my final straw with GrubHub. Exactly an hour after I placed my order, I received a call from the restaurant unsure of what order I even put into the system. What popped in from the GrubHub app apparently didn’t have the details they needed to make the order. I made all the required selections when placing the order. Here I now sit, an hour and fifteen minutes after my order at a restaurant 5-7 minutes away, and the order still hasn’t even been picked up. I’m on driver 3 right now, for this one order. GrubHub really needs to get it together. Assuming my hot food will be completely cold tonight, I plan to request a refund and be done with the app for good.

We were offered a perk we can’t use, because GrubHub can’t build a working app.. I have a screenshot I can post but I see no place to put it. Basically, through my work, we are offered a deal in which we can pay for GrubHub through payroll deduction. Sounds nice, right? Well, it would be if GrubHub actually figured out how to make it work. It’s listed as a payment method, I’ve used it before, yet over half the time, I get an error message telling me to “contact my card issuer” when I AM NOT PAYING WITH A CARD. What’s the point of this if I can’t use it? And I’ve talked to the ID payroll issuer at my employer, and I’ve been assured that the problem is NOT on their end. GrubHub just keeps screwing up their app and can’t figure out how to get it to work properly. I’ve reached out to GrubHub repeatedly to tackle this issue and I never get a follow-up response. I’m done with GrubHub over this ridiculous glitch that they don’t care to fix. What’s the point of having this “partnership” with my employer when they’re not holding up their end of the deal? It’s my understanding that the ID department at work is considering severing the relationship over this, because they keep getting complaints regarding this issue and GrubHub doesn’t care enough to fix it. I strongly support any action on my employer’s behalf to end this partnership that doesn’t benefit their employees.

Seriously, a lot of screwups. I want to like Grubhub because there’s restaurants that DoorDash doesn’t have. I have Grubhun+ and it seems there’s barely any benefits except free delivery. You’d think you would get your orders faster just with that benefit but nope. Also when you compare pricing at the restaurants or whatever you’re ordering from, there is a price hike but I get it, you need to make money. Here’s the thing though, my orders are either late and cold or most of the time, it’s missing items or wrong items. I deal with this A LOT but mostly missing items. Cool, you get a promo that expires if not used with weird expiration times. Who’s going to order something before 4:13 AM? Really missing items and ya, you should get a refund for them missing; however, that doesn’t fix that fact that a family member or friend can’t eat and in order for free delivery with Grubhub+, you have to order a certain amount to be eligible. Literally, they screw up A LOT, again, mostly with missing items and then say “thank your feedback.” I get it that is also the restaurant’s fault too but they need to do something because it seems to happen less with DoorDash, your competitor, who offers either to rede liver or a refund. Do*something*to*fix*this!!!!

They screw something up everytime. Each time I’ve ordered threw this site which has been like 6 now each time either they screw up my order or it was late an cold one time the other time they forgot my fries an drink with order then they had mash potatoes instead of my Mac and ab cheese that I paid f or. an forgot the drink with that order as well I don’t currently have transportation around to get to these places but I have been left home without anything in my fridge or cabinets to cook or make so I have been thankful but it get me so ticked off to the point where I spend 30$ on just food for my 120lbs self to where I can’t even enjoy my meal I just worked 3 long hours for at a job to only get overlooked an not any attention paid to checking the order an marking off each thing in the receipt to make sure you are doing the job correctly an have happy satisfied customers so let’s pray that this order from way back burgers are all correct an hot an on time with all of the items an the sauces like clarified in the tab when they got the order for there delivery. I think I should have got some sort of refund of at least 2 of my orders that I spent over 20$ or more on that we’re not even complete with everything I purchased or hot or on time. Worst customer service ever in South Beach and GrubHub CustomerI was at Bri right here Service. This is your 4th and final chance Grub Hub. The last three times we’ve ordered the order was cancelled. This is unbelievable. I stand by what I said WORST FOOD DELIVERY APP OUT THERE. I ordered a meal from GrubHub and expected delivery to the room - a service that Door Dash and Waitr provide. My driver called to tell me it was raining so I would have to come out to the parking lot to receive my order. I had asked in special instructions for the food to be delivered to my room. I told the driver I had just had surgery and I would appreciate it if he would bring it to the room. He refused. He told me to “take my time.” He would wait. Rather than deliver to my room, he wanted me to come down to the parking lot to pick it up. He is too precious to get wet, but it’s okay for me to get wet. Then he texted that he was leaving it outside the front door. In the rain. He tried to leave my order at the front desk at a very nice resort. They refused to let him leave it there. I don’t blame them. I contacted Grub Hub via the app and they offered to refund the tip. When I continued to complain, they offered to refund $40 off the order. I’m sorry, but I simply refuse to pick up food from the parking lot and eat it. This was my first and last order from GrubHub. Unacceptable customer service from the driver and from GrubHub itself.

Missing food, resolution unsatisfactory/fixed!!. I download this app about 3 days ago, all ordes were simple not complex AT ALL. My 3rd order I placed was for two meals and kids meals at Red Robin. Order was delivered but missing an ENTIRE KIDS ORDER.( missed my restaurant and driver) so I called customer service and I was told I’d have to reorder from the app to receive my food my driver cannot go back and get it. Another 45 minutes for my child to wait. They just refunded my money only for the one kids meal. Now I have to go out waste the time I didn’t want to to drive and get my child more food. I’m absolutely unsatisfied and would recommend everyone look for different apps that are similar to this one INSTEAD of this one. I was contActed and given a coupon by Grubhub so I’m trying it again, review to be changed after this experience I’m about to have. After my coupon I ordered from the same restaurant thinking it wouldn’t happen again, but it did. Now in no way is this grub hubs fault I don’t expect my delivery driver to root around in my food making sure everything is there, what I suggest is you DO NOT order from Red Robin. And grub hub I suggest you take them off your list to prevent a load of complaints in the future

WORST DELIVERY APP OF ALL TIME. I’ve never written a review for an app but after having such a horrible experience with them several times I should add I felt absolutely compelled to write a review. This is the second time I order from them that they claim to have delivered my food and it never gets delivered, the first time it happened they just apologized and said my money wouldn’t be refunded until 2-3 business days and at the time it was the only money I had to order food with so I got left without money and food. The first two times I’ve had an issue with Grubhub customer service just apologized and offered a measly $10 off my next order. This time they said they wouldn’t refund me my full amount because the driver attempted to deliver the food and attempted to call me which is not true I never received a phone call from him not even from my call box at my apartment which he claimed to be at..ok furthermore I attempted contacting the driver 2 times after speaking directly with the restaurant and the restaurant attempted to call him as well and he never answered it wasn’t until grubhub directly contacted him that he answered. Then grubhub refuses to refund me my full amount?! For never delivered food? The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard wasted 30 more minutes of my time arguing with them about it and now it’s too late to order delivery from any other restaurant 🙃

Gave it a SECOND chance. BIG MISTAKE!. I do not know how this app is still up and running; it’s so terrible that you might as well pay the $3.99 delivery fees on DoorDash or UbearEats. So I decided to try GrubHub one more time and order from a local place. I waited for a hour and the driver canceled literally while he was there so then another driver got connected, but then my order got cancelled. They said they sent an email explaining what happened but I did not receive a email. I was BEYOND livid because I had been waiting for so long only for GrubHub to cancel my order. What’s even worst was that my delivery person contacted me and told me he was there picking up the order. I didn’t receive my food and wasted money that I have to wait to come back to my account. To top all of that off, I’ve tried GrubHub before in the past and had similar issues with my order being cancelled and no explanation being given as to why they cancelled it. I’m NEVER using this app again and for anyone who actually wants to know if you should, DON’T! And you don’t just have to take it from me. There are countless other reviews discussing what happened to their orders. I’m annoyed and frustrated that after two years they still haven’t fixed the problem of cancelling orders just out of the blue after making you wait hours for them.

I love it.. IAs a college student, I know how to get cheap food. My friends and I have used every other delivery app you can think of and tried all the free premium trials of them so I also know how valuable it is. All this to say I use Grubhub the most out of all the delivery apps out there and it’s by far the best. They have a great selection, they don’t have ridiculously high fees like UberEats and (the worst delivery app ever(Postmates), and they have excellent customer service! They rarely ever cancel your order(Postmates), they typically have speedy delivery and wonderful, kind drivers who deliver your food without spills or mess. Like I’ve mentioned I’ve also tried the premium of almost all delivery apps and imo Grubhub’s premium is definitely worth it. You get perks every week which invited me to find new local restaurants I fell in LOVE with, prompt customer service, and free delivery almost every time. Some premium accounts are completely useless(Postmates) and others just don’t give you as many reasons to pay monthly. It’s just a reliable app which is what I count on when ordering food. It also uniquely caters to students! I love it, I tell anyone who asks, and will continue using it.

No discount when you refer people. I’ve used this app countless times and I actually like using it more than the other apps out there. My one issue is that I’ve referred at least 3-4 people this year alone to use this app, which they have with the assumptions that I would receive the $10 discount as stated on their website. When they ordered, I’ve noticed that I never actually received the discount. To watch this closely, I referred someone in October while they were visiting for the weekend, I saw them use the link to order and for some reason I did not receive the discount again. I assumed that there was something wrong with my email but how could that be? I’ve used it a few times to order food and I had no issues doing so, I’m not sure if I’m the only one having this issue but that’s what I’ve noticed recently. Otherwise, it’s great, I will keep ordering from them because I have no issues paying for my meals but going forward I won’t assume that Grubhub will provide me with the discount as stated on their platform when I invite friends or maybe I should no longer refer people. I’ve contacted Grubhub btw, and provided the emails used and they weren’t able to assist. My two cents ✌🏾 Peace!

Could be better. I recently have had a lot of complaints about the food I’ve received. I’m unable to cook right now and cannot drive, so I’m at the mercy of delivered food. I don’t like complaining because I know the food industry is a thankless job but when I keep getting cold food delivered or the order is beyond wrong, it’s unacceptable. There are times I make an order and no one is around. Im I able to get a refund for my order right now because I’ve “had a unusual amount of recent refunds.” So am I not supposed to complain when a driver was in another city, marked he picked up my food, and drove around with it through that city and my city. The food was COLD. I have screenshots of where the driver went because I didn’t believe what was happening. What about when I ask for food to be left off and the place decides to leave other things off without asking me? A few complaints were made NOT expecting a refund. I wanted to leave feedback for missing items and the customer service rep decided to refund me. So I’m now waiting to see if a driver shows up to bring me breakfast. And I can’t get a refund for the order. It’s been half an hour. Guess who will probably get cold food, again, IF I even get my food. At this point I could of just starved a little and wait for lunchtime.

READ BEFORE YOU’RE RIPPED OFF. I ordered from Grubhub 3 times. First time the food was delivered 15 minutes late and cold (not a big deal so I didn’t complain). Second time food was delivered late because driver “couldn’t find the entrance” despite incredibly clear instructions (still not a big deal and didn’t complain). Third time is where my problem started. Driver handed me my bag really quick and then took off. I found half my order to be missing. I called the restaurant and they said that the driver was in a hurry and had left the rest on the counter despite their efforts to tell the driver there was more. The restaurant was very polite but said grubhub handles the payments so they would have to issue the refund. I called Grubhub Customer service and the lady said they’d issue a refund for that amount (recorded on their line and mine). 4 days later, was not correct on bank statement, called and told it would be correct once charge wasn’t pending and had gone trough. Week later, charge went through and still wrong. Called and was told by customer service that since it had been a week they would not issue refund but could give me credit toward next purchase. Explained that was not going to happen, I had called the day of and was told refund, so what he was trying to do was illegal. Suddenly he was capable of refunding my amount. No further purchases will be made by me through grubhub.

So far, so Good!. Today is Monday, September 26, 2022, and this is the second time that I have had an issue with GrubHub delivery. I’ve been tracking this driver and he or she has been driving around in my neighborhood and didn’t even bother to get to my address so therefore I felt that my food would’ve been cold upon arrival and now it was abruptly cancelled, so now I am re-ordering once again.😡 I am a senior citizen and I am disabled, the name of the complex is Mayflower Gardens Senior Apartments. I wished that the driver would keep in mind that some of us older customers are not as quick to get to the door and we are not dumb or stupid. I know know how to read apps, and I know my directions,when they come, and some of them in the past will abruptly leave your order at the door on the ground and not even bother to knock. I am requesting a re-order once again because I have tracked the last driver and he or she was in my neighborhood and I’m not sure if they were lost or not but it would be nice if they were use the GPS system more effectively so that they can find my address. Please know that is why I am really hesitant to order with you in the near future if this continues to happen. Needless to say I am not happy at this time.I noticed that a female driver will be delivering my order shortly and I hope that it’ll arrive in time.

Delivery times and costs have become insane. I’ve been a user for years but with Grubhub+ and the craziness of Covid I’m about ready to delete the app entirely. Not only does Grubhub charge a $4-6 “delivery fee” (a transparent ploy to get you to subscribe), with driver tip and tax I’m reaching $35-40 bucks for an order that would otherwise be $15-18 if I went and got it myself. Convenience is worth some extra, but a lot of the restaurants I order from are 10-15 minutes away, I don’t feel like I’m getting my laziness worth at all. Speaking of proximity, drivers going to pickup at these same places I can get to in 10-15 minutes are taking upwards of an hour to get my food and arrive at my door. Busy nights and Covid craziness I understand, but I haven’t had a delivery under 50 minutes in the last year and an hour plus is the norm. I honestly don’t know where that delivery fee is going, maybe they should shuffle more to enticing more drivers. I suppose I should be grateful, it’s gotten me to cook more and go out to restaurants to make sure all my money goes to supporting the establishment. Either the overall cost needs to come down or they need to work on speeding up deliveries, cause right now I’ll save almost as much as I’m spending on the food just driving to get it myself.

GRUBHUB IS AWFUL! My experience:. I was with Alyson and her family and we decided to order food through Grubhub. We ordered 6 combo meals at KFC worth around roughly 85 dollars (I know pricey). The order was put in at 4:54 and had an ETA of about an hour, not bad considering only drive thru’s are open. The order got here on time, just to find out we only got 1 out of the 6 combo meals. Thankfully all the drinks came on time or we would have died of thirst. So I did what any normal person would do and called the delivery driver. He told me it would take 20 minutes for him to bring us the rest of my order. He told me this at 6:18 p.m. SO WE WAITED. And waited. And waited. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER the driver shows up with what we THOUGHT was the rest of our order. He said he’d wait to see if our order was correct. It wasn’t. His response, “Well I’m off the clock.” We were missing a whole combo meal and 4 biscuits. Everyone got to eat thankfully. Sharing is caring. Then I called Grubhub to complain. Said I wanted a full refund, but could only be refunded for the missing combo meal and tip. I’m sharing this to my family, friends, and whoever else sees this to tell you DO NOT ORDER FROM GRUBHUB. There are much better apps to choose from. Any other app than Grubhub. It took two and a half hours to get our food. Ridiculous. I’ve had better customer experience at the DMV than with Grubhub. J Bucci — expensive but worth it!. I had the carbonara, wedding soup and a pizza. First of all the bread is to die for and so good they even make it available for purchase separately. Fabulous! I’m also a huge fan of the meat sauce which you can buy separately in a pint or quart! Tastes like the old fashioned Italian sauce that cooks all day—wish I had the recipe! The carbonara had that satisfyingly squish of biting down on a firm green pea along with the smooth creamy taste of a top notch buttery white sauce with the fun of a firm delicious tortinalini pasta cooked just right—not too al dente, not too soft! The Italian wedding soup was perfectly seasoned with lots of spinach. It’s a soup to look forward to having again. The pizza had the rare quality of crispness without being overcooked— crunchy crust without toughness. What keeps me going back is the very generous serving portions — I have a feast that lasts for days! Treat yourself—you will want to keep going back for more! They have even added gluten free pasta to the menu. Do call ahead—it’s so worth the wait! Nice people too. If you are searching for a new favorite restaurant, then this may be just the place for you.

Terrible delivery and customer service. I ordered food and had texted the driver through the number provided on the app to make sure he would notify me when he’s here. I expected him to just leave the food at the door and text me or something because it’s supposed to be contact free delivery. However, he called me from a different number than the one provided, so I didn’t pick up. When I realized that it was probably the delivery man, I picked up the second time. He proceeded to yell at me, say he called me many times (which is untrue, only called twice) and said he’s not coming back with the food. When I tried to call him back, he refused to pick up. So I contacted customer service to tell them of what happened. They offered half off on my next order, but wouldn’t give me a full refund until I asked over and over. Which is ridiculous: they expected me to pay again (even if it was half priced) for food I never got. And I tipped as well. When they finally agreed to refund me, they told me they would no longer offer the half off on my next order. They have done nothing to make up for the inconvenience and awful experience I had with the delivery driver. When I asked them to look up the delivery drivers name, they said they don’t have that in record. I find that very hard to believe. Overall, terrible unprofessional and rude staff, terrible customer service.

More than one bad experience. This is the second time I've had a problem with grub hub with the same restaurant the first time was i placed my order and waited over an hour before I checked the app to see where my food was and it said that it still wasn't picked up so I called the restaurant to see what was taking so long and was told no one ever said they were going to pick up my food so my order was canceled and never started but was never contacted about it until I called and asked about it and was told they could start it but I would have to come pick it up myself i told them to just forget about it since it had been over an hour and was not going to wait almost another hour for my food and the second time was I placed my order and on the ordering directions I put no lettuce and no tomato I received my food and saw that it had both lettuce and tomato on it my husband was talking to someone on a chat line and they asked if I wanted my order resubmitted or a refund I said I wanted my order resubmitted but was told right after that they couldn't resubmit my order and that i would be getting a refund and than got off the chat line without even saying why they couldn't resubmit my order not only did i not get the food i ordered I couldn't even get done again correctly very disappointed

Don’t use gift cards. It will just be refunded and your order will be canceled, I have expressed my complaints many times about this and they keep saying I will receive an email after 42 hours!!! 42!!! Hours!!! Like what? I have a lot of patience for people who work, I understand but this thing has been reoccurring, I talk about the problem over and over and over and I wait for 42 hours, just to have nothing, no email is sent to me at all, and then I tell them but I have to wait yet again 42 hours, just for nothing again. I wish I could get my money back from the gift card but I can’t, it’s infuriating. So I have to leave, and wait, so I’m left disappointed, annoyed and hungry. I just want food man, nothing else. I may sound like a Karen or whatever but my god, this is the first time I’ve ever been truly mad about a place, like my food was burned and undercooked once I still ate it (it was gross but I was hungry) and I complained, I didn’t even get mad because they offered half of the price off for next time!!! But this, nothing is done at all, I have to wait a long time for something that will happen again all over again. I’m just annoyed, so I’m ranting a bit, sorry, I may seem like a Karen but I’m so so annoyed and hungry!!! I would cook my own food but I can’t even cook french toast 😭😭

New York based review. This app is a great concept with many flaws. I’ve used grub hub MANY times and more times had issues than received my food long after I placed my order than receiving it in a convenient amount of time. Every time I press that place order button I find myself hoping that another issue isn’t going to come up where an hour to an hour and a half later I’m not going to have to call in and find out what’s going on. I can’t say not to use the app, because yea you will get your food and customer service is great, but don’t rely on it to get your food any faster than it would take you to just walk up the block and grab a quick bite. At the very least, I do have to give it to Grubhub for finding me hidden gems among the usual places I go to eat, but rather than coming back to use the app again I find myself walking to to place myself to get some food after. It’s hard to love this app when I always get my food once I’m so hungry that I’m almost willing to call the $30-35 for ONE MEAL thanks to feed and forced tips a loss and walk up the block and grab a quick sandwich or something.

My continued struggles with accountability.. I ordered my food, the food went into being made 30 minutes after that my food had been switched into being made it got moved into delayed and that it would be 20-30 minutes later than originally expected. Fine it happens, then my order was updated to out for delivery the notification came 5 minutes after the first side of the window of delivery time had passed. After the delivery I inspected my order and noticed that over half the food was not there. I called customer service they offered a refund for the food I was missing. But, the problem then falls into where’s my replacement food because I had ordered dinner for me and my girlfriend. Half our order is here we both got part of our food. Neither feed to our fill. And customer service had no way to get us the food order fulfilled at this point. So the refund was a mute point for a mere 5.99 refund when I paid a service fee, a delivery fee, and a tip for the driver that total up half of my whole order price. So not having my food and having more money tied up in fees than actual food was not acceptable. Grubhub has now refunded me my whole order, but this is the third in about a month and a half that this has happened to me or my girlfriend at our apartment with varying restaurants. I’m almost done with Grubhub all together.

Terrible drivers. Ordered my food at around 1140ish, told me there would be a delay and the food would be delivered at 1245. okay fine whatever, 1245 comes around and another delay comes and takes it to 150. at this point i just wanted my food, i go to work soon and wanted something before work. Finally my driver was almost here so i put my shoes on and went outside to wait, (i live in an apartment complex with multiple buildings that look the same, each building is marked with a giant letter to let you know what building it which, at the beginning of the parking lot as well has a sign showing what buildings are in what parking lot) i waited and saw a car drive up to the first building, guy got out and walked in, came back out and drove off. Then my phone dings saying it was delivered, i have it set in my instructions to call me and hand it to me. It snowed a few inches over night so i walked through the snow all the way to the building i saw the guy go in and there was no food. Checked the building next to that one just in case i saw wrong and shocker- no food. So most likely the guy either handed it to the first person he saw without asking, or left the food somewhere and in the time it took me to walk down there someone grabbed it. Regardless he ignored the instructions and this is the reason I’ve stopped using grubhub, doordash wasn’t delivering because it’s a holiday

Worst App/Business. Does this app/company seriously expect to make money and compete with Ubereats running their business like this? The delivery fee is $8 even if the restaurant is literally 5 minutes away from your location ... compared to a $4.99-$6.99 delivery fee from Ubereats (which by the way the amount you pay for delivery w/Ubereats is determined by proximity). Then this app requires that you to tip BEFORE you receive your food and SERVICE.. Excuse the hell out of me but when did tipping become something that is expected rather than EARNED. This literally gives the driver no incentive to provide great service ... at all. However, with Ubereats you tip after receiving the food and service. I’ve never had a problem with Ubereats arriving within the timeframe and if the driver is running a little behind they always call and keep me updated. They always deliver to my door, unless I’m at work because it’s difficult to do since I work at a hospital and people often get lost. I ALWAYS tip and have no problem with doing so but definitely have a problem with giving a tip before services are rendered and feel like I’m being forced to do so. If the company is reading this and wants to stay in business , please take notes from Ubereats and treat your paying customers better. I didn’t even have the chance to use the app because I was so turned off. I’ll stick with the better option for now... Ubereats.

“ You must be the problem”. I was using GrubHub for over a year as a paying member a month for their services. I was in the middle of a major remodel of my home and did not have a functioning kitchen for that time (doing all the work myself in between work) so any type of hot meal for a family of four was usually ordered through GrubHub (sometimes twice or more a day) Throughout that time we had orders that were perfectly fine, and others that would be missing one or more items completely. When this type of scenario would happen of course we would call and request a refund just for those items which GrubHub usually would do or tell us to reorder The items. However GrubHub does not tell you when they feel that you’ve done this more than a few times they will band you from their services. (keep in mind I spent over 3K during the duration of my remodel with just GrubHub) Luckily now I have my kitchen back together and I know longer need to order out much but if you’re someone like me who works hard for what they have, & doesn’t like to pay for mistakes on behalf of a restaurant or a delivery driver and expects to only pay for what you get…. Be expected to be banned from their services over time. I’ll be going back to the old way of just ordering from the restaurant directly.

Needs improvement. I like the ease of ordering, but the layout of Katy Asian Town is awful. There’s about 15 different restaurants to order from, and when you go to order, you just scroll through about 3,000 food options instead of their being an option to search exclusively by restaurant. Then, some of the restaurants are closed on odd days. For example, one restaurant might be closed on Wednesday, while another is closed on Tuesday, and there’s no way to know which one isn’t open on the app…. so you order food, and then get a call later telling you it’s not open…. it should disappear from the menu option or have a disclaimer that particular restaurant is closed on certain days. Lastly, most of the food options don’t even have descriptions. Pictures would be best, but I understand that’d be hard to do , but to not even have a written description is dumb. Also, one of the restaurants I order from states they have a vermicelli bowl, but we’ve ordered it 5 times now, and every time we order it, they call and say they don’t have it but can substitute for a rice bowl… there’s not even an option for a rice bowl on the menu, so why not just change it? It’s very convenient, but this particular area is laborious to order from and it can’t be good for their business.

I love grubhub but it’s got a few flaws. Great app but it’s not perfect. Sometimes it shows restaurants as open when they’re actually closed and that is very frustrating cause I sometimes have to check the restaurant’s hours on my maps app instead to confirm that they’re actually open when I place my orders. The GPS/tracking feature is great too but unfortunately it can be a bit glitchy at times which results in seeing’s he car/bike icon on the map doing some really weird maneuvers like spinning out of control or going backwards or whatever. I mean I get it, it’s probably supposed to be a turn being made by the driver but it just looks absurd on the screen. The positives of grubhub are it’s amazing customer service/help line (seriously they absolutely aim to please the customer and I love it), the great selection of awesome restaurants, the dark mode aesthetic which is easier on my eyes than a bright white background like the other popular delivery apps use, and the couriers are usually really professional and great at following instructions. Again grubhub is fantastic and I’m a regular customer of it but it definitely needs that restaurant opening time thing fixed.

Waited 3 hours for food and they hung up on me. Incompetent customer service workers who go back and blame you for a situation Grubhub created. I ordered dinner at 5:30. The time kept getting pushed back until it was 7:00 and the food still hadn’t been picked up. I’m in Chicago, so food usually takes at least 45 minutes to get here, but this was longer than usual. I called Grubhub who told me it was the restaurant’s fault. I called the restaurant who said my dinner had been getting cold since 6:05. I called Grubhub back and the app had apparently glitched. On the phone, the worker I was speaking to told me if the food wasn’t there in 20 minutes, I could ask for a refund and receive the food. It had been 20 minutes, food was around 5 minutes away. At this point, I had been waiting for dinner for over 3 hours. I got in the chat option and explained the situation. He cancelled my order without me asking and just threw my money back at me. When I explained that this was not what I wanted, he told me I should wait longer before making a complaint and that this wouldn’t have happened if I was just patient. I called to see what they could do since the food was legitimately 5 minutes away; they could not get ahold of the driver. When I asked to file a complaint about the person who was rude to me, they just hung up. You are much better off using Doordash or Uber eats.

GRUBHUB FOREVER!!!. I entitled this review “GRUBHUB FOREVER!!! Because GrubHub was the first food delivery service I used somewhere around 20 years ago or so. The well-oiled machine that is the GrubHub pick-up and deliver to me - deliver hot, fresh, food (with some very attractive drivers…) All the drivers are uniformly on-time or earlier (unless traffic!). The drivers are very, very kind, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I order many different things from many different locations; if there is an occasional SNAFU, it’s generally either the fault of restaurant, of the dispatched order was screwy. Wow…I had to really REACH BACK to find unsatisfactory deliveries. While they’re not perfect, I would say roughly 94% of my orders are PERFECT - no mistakes on ANY end. Driver error? 1.25% of the time (and when I get the same driver the next time around, he or she is PERFECT. I’ve only had one crazy delivery, now that I think of it…that was SO not typical AT ALL of the GrubHub system…I hope they fired that looney toon. Anyway, I’ve never needed to try any other service! I’ve only used GrubHub! They service a bajillion restaurants; my order’s are PERFECT 94% (and right about 4-5%). “”GRUBHUB FOREVER!””

Best delivery drives and some of them are the nicest I've ever met 👍. I've not had any rude drivers come to deliver my food they all have been very nice the reason that is is because I'm also very nice to the drivers when they come to my home and ask them how they are and how their day is going and tell them thank you and hope they have a wonderful day... I meet them out front cause of our dogs cause if I try to go outside one of our girls gets very upset and protective if I try to go out that door and she tries to push her way past me so I try and be respectful of others cause some ppl may be afraid of dogs so we as customers we do not know if our delivery drivers so I make sure that I'm outside waiting and they say oh you didn't need to wait outside I say well I have dogs and some ppl may be afraid of them or if it's late at night like after 11:00 pm then I tell them ir didn't want the dogs waking up the whole house with their barking so I try to be respectful of everyone so if I do try and come out my dog isn't trying to do the same... I just would rather be respectful of others it's better to be polite to everyone...

Drivers are unprofessional and Grubhub backs them. So I preferred from grubhub last night because I was exhausted from working all day and when my driver got to the restaurant he started texting me which I’ve shown grubhub to ask the restaurant to speed up my order and they were busy at the time. So fast forward a few minutes I get a call from the restaurant saying the driver had an additude with them and left without my food and the manager offered to drive it to me. I was so grateful that he offered but I went to pick it up seeing as it wasn’t the restaurants fault it was the grub hub drivers fault. So I went to pickup my cold food and called an emailed grubhub about the driver and all the did was give me 10 percent off my order. And said I was reimbursed for the order that never got picked up. Well I paid for the cold food at the restaurant because again it wasn’t there fault all this happened i feel I should atleast get a free meal or that meal should have been paid for by grubhub seeing as it was there fault. I’ve worked in the food industry in the past and understand how hard it is on them so it also really bother me knowing that a driver they employe gave these young girls working at the restaurant an additude. I will no longer order from grubhub so there 10% is pointless seeing as I can’t trust to get my food with them. Please be cautious about using them since they think it’s ok to employee people like this.

Delivery. I placed an order for the first time and was actually pretty impressed with the app. The notifications of the order being received and picked up were nice....up until the delivery. When I received the notification that the driver was near I figured it would be a few minutes for someone to knock on my hotel room. About 5 minutes after that I received a text indicating that the driver was having trouble locating me and there was a number provided to call the driver directly. Only thing that the driver was not accepting calls. I received a call 10 minutes after my food should have been delivered from an operator at DoorDash explaining that the driver was having trouble locating me. The address I used for the delivery indicated that I was at a specific hotel and provided a landmark for the driver. Yet the driver could not locate me? I finally received my food 15 minutes later than I should have....obviously it was cold. I just can’t quite understand how a driver can block her number (after I tried calling her several times)and claim that she was unable to locate me when I gave specific directions as to where I was. Additionally, I don’t understand why the operator lied to me when I told her that I provided details to my location and she came back with “we don’t have that on our system”! Ironically I have pictures proving that I did!!!

Delivery Drivers are Horrible. Ive ordered from Grubhub a lot due to the price difference between them and Doordash. I have had 3 bad orders on here honestly. The first from Wendy’s where I ordered myself a sandwich and a kid’s meal, the kid’s meal was not only partly eaten but was also missing the milk. (I did a bad review on that driver.) The second time was from Applebee’s where again some food was either eaten or missing, this time a good majority. I just ordered a small meal again which wasn't touched which I appreciate a lot. My last order was from Taco Bell, they gave me the typical delivery time and I patiently waited. I saw by the end of he time they say my delivery should’ve gotten here that the food wasn't even picked up from Taco Bell itself. I waited about 5-10 more minutes then called customer service for the first time. Customer service was wonder and honestly really apologetic, the thing us after I called my driver then picked up my food. She apologized and did point out it was late and this wasn't ok, I think I got a 10% off coupon/code. As much as I do like the app with its prices and layout and good customer service; the drivers themselves do a lot of bad things in their orders which makes me cautious of ordering from Grubhub again. And as much as I like my coupon, how am i supposed to know that I will get my full order untouched (by mouths or just going missing) is going to be guaranteed??

Worst from all the delivery services. They do not confirm with the restaurant If the restaurant has received and can fulfill the order. Because of this you can find out an hour+ after you ordered it that the restaurant is closed or has no intention of fulfilling the order. This happened to me twice in the last two days. 1 the restaurant was closed but I didn’t find out until the driver showed up there 40 min after I ordered. The second time was a day later and different restaurant. After the time had passed for me to receive the order (a little over an hour after I ordered it) the app suddenly said it would take an additional hour. I called customer service which is not easy to get through and they told me that the driver would be at my place in 15 minutes later. I called the driver and he said that he has my order and will be there in 30. In less than 30 he called to say he was at the restaurant and they are too busy to fulfill the order. It took over two hours for my order to get cancelled. Grubhub offers a generic apology and that’s it. Other delivery services actually check with the restaurant and will offer you credits when late which is rare. My family was left very hungry and it was a terrible experience. I will never use again and I suggest you don’t either unless you don’t mind to find out you are not getting it hours later.

Mistake Using Grubhub. Worst experience. I normally use Door Dash but decided to use Grub hub because they delivered from the Chinese restaurant I like. Order made everything seemed fine. Delivery never happened. Spoke with chat support on the app. Support could not get ahold of the driver. I was told wait 10-15 minutes for driver then do chat support again if no show. Then I receive a call from Grub hub that states the driver will be here in 5 minutes and that I’ll get 10% off on my next order of up to $50. Meanwhile I’m receiving e-mails updating the delivery time. No delivery still. Another phone call from Grub hub. This caller now states the driver said the order will take over an hour now to get to me. The hell? And to top the cake, this caller had no idea I got a call earlier stating 5 minutes so I cancelled the order and requested a refund. My wife called the restaurant to confirm pick up and the order was picked up by Grub hub way earlier before the bull crap started. Seems the driver must have been hungry. I think it’s time to either find new drivers and support or retrain. This is ridiculous. Now I have to explain to my 4 kids why food is not coming. Do better Grub hub.

Worst of the delivery services , by far!. This group cares nothing about their customers and or customer service! On 3 separate occasions ( should have deleted app after first time) my orders were cancelled after waiting more than one hour. On one occasion after waiting 2 hrs for dinner. The whole time the app shows that the restaurant is "working on it" and the arrival time keeps getting bumped forward if you are diligent enough to watch it. Otherwise no notifications, you just wait. Then after enough time passes they simply say your order has been cancelled. These cowards give you a number to the restaurant but not to them. It is next to impossible to get a contact on the app to find out what is going on. In all 3 cases the restaurant did their part in preparing the food in a timely manner when I called. In all 3 cases restaurants said on their screen that a driver had not yet been assigned. It is interesting to note that the last time I called the restaurant they said they were dropping grub hub because this happens all the time. I talked to a few restaurant owners after that and they said they tell their customers to use any service but grub hub! The restaurants get screwed with unsold prepared food and the customer gets screwed waiting a few hours to then have to first figure out what to eat. This company needs to sell or change entire philosophy. Never again Grub Hub

If I could give 0 stars I would. I place an order and get an estimated delivery time of 30-40 minutes later. It says the restaurant is preparing my food. Well 30 minutes passes and it still says that they are preparing it but now I have a delay and it’s gonna be another 20-30 minute wait. 20 minutes later I get another delay for 20-30 minutes but it still says the restaurant is preparing my food. I call the restaurant to find out why the hold up is and they tell me that my name and order has not even arrived in their system for them to prepare. I call grubhub customer service and you tell me that the order has been confirmed by a driver but apparently that is a lie because the restaurant does not even have it! You can’t contact the driver so you just tell me you’ll have them contact me. I don’t want to talk to the driver. I want you to put my order in the system and the restaurant make my food and it get delivered to me without an hours worth of delays because your driver is sitting around doing nothing. And then on top of that my order gets messed up because your driver can’t seem to actually read the order correctly. I quit using your services for 5 months because of these constant problems. Now I use it again and clearly you have not fixed a single thing!! Fix your broken system and then maybe you will be worth a 3 star review but I highly doubt you’ll be worth a 5 star review!

Communicate with your customers. For starters this is the 3rd time I tried grub hub. I thought third times the charm, and was I mistaken. The first time I used grub hub the driver just left my food without ringing the door bell, knocking etc and I let it go. I thought maybe the driver was in a hurry! The second time my meal was suppose to arrive to 30-40min.. I waited 1.5 hrs.. they never notified the time change! I planned the timing with a +20 min window since I was at work...I didn’t even get to eat right away! Now I’m in a different state, so I thought why not order some food. I just worked 10 hrs and wanted to just eat. I hadn’t had lunch so I ordered food. The app said 50-60 min.. eta 6:40... at 6:39 the time changed to 8! I called the restaurant and they informed me that the driver is 30 mins away from the restaurant and hasn’t headed to them yet! They notified the driver my food was ready. What! I get you hire anyone looking to make some extra cash, but how do you run an app where the closest driver is 30 mins away! I drive for postmate and they not only notify they allow users to contact drivers vice versa to communicate and delays. When there is a delay the inform their users! I have deleted this app! I’m going with Uber eats and postmate.. delivery apps that actually deliver.. thanks for not making my experience with you not enjoyable if I could give negative stars I would!

Infuriatingly Bad Service. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with GrubHub and their service. The first, the restaurant prepares food and the driver was late. By the time is arrived to me, over an hour late, it was cold. And they only refunded me for the hot items because it was the only one affected. This time, after placing the order and not seeing the restaurant confirm it after only 20 minutes, I called only to find they didn’t receive it. When I called GrubHub, they said the restaurant confirmed and received it. Suddenly the app reflected that. Then my order continued to be delayed. So I called the restaurant again and they again said they never received it, after double checking several times. This is not over an hour since placing the order when it should have already been delivered to me. Calling GrubHub AGAIN, they tried to tell me the restaurant did receive and confirm the order but they cannot call the restaurant directly because they requested not to be contacted by GrubHub. This is an issue with the restaurant and not them. Are you kidding me?? So the customer is now responsible for being stuck in the middle to fix YOUR issues? Why are you doing business with a restaurant you can’t communicate with? I’m not doing business with that restaurant, I’m doing business with YOU! I will NOT be using GrubHub again and will stick with DoorDash and UberEats who I’ve never had any issues with.

Switching back to DoorDash. UPDATE: Fool me once….I forgot to cancel Plus so gave it another shot. Where they promptly fooled me twice. The driver was right by the restaurant. Turned around and is now in a completely different part of town. Called the restaurant and my food has been waiting to be picked up for over half an hour. The driver didn’t release my order so someone else can pick it up. F you Grubhub Watching these delivery drivers on tracking, if the tracking is actually correct, makes me want to scream. They’ll pick up my order and either go deliver another order, go hang out in a parking lot, who knows. I have gotten more cold food since switching from DoorDash than I can count. I always tip well, 25 to 35 percent depending on how far they have to drive, a couple of times more than that. And my orders are usually always over 50 bucks so that adds up. On top of that, I pay for Grubhub plus(cancelling). The last straw was last night when my order was late (I understand this happens sometimes) but I watched the driver literally drive aimlessly around with my food after picking it up late. The appetizers were so cold and soggy they were inedible. And I’m not exaggerating. I send a note to Grubhub who acted like they were doing me a favor by sending me a $5 credit. It was basically a $60 meal in the trash. I’m done.

Never got entire order. I typically use EatStreet but decided to check out GrubHub as I moved into a new apartment recently and their delivery rates were alright. So I put in an order for a burrito, veggie bowl, an order of chips and guac and an order of chips and queso from Chipotle. Round 1: only the burrito shows up, the driver goes "there was nothing else" despite the bag saying bag 2/2. I got an immediate refund for the food, but not for the service cost etc, meaning my 8 dollar burrito cost me $17. I was trying to surprise my partner and ordered the missing items again. Round 2: only the veggie bowl shows up, no chips, guacamole, or queso. Again, get a refund only for the missing items, meaning the veggie bowl is also like twice the price, and I’m STILL missing the chips. I contacted the store directly and they were great and very understanding, but providing feedback about the store on GrubHub proved very difficult and the customer service representatives I chatted with at GrubHub were clearly trained to do nothing but give refunds (likely at the restaurants’ expense) while pocketing the service fee. I’m rather shocked and frustrated by this ordeal and my attempt to make a sweet gesture for my partner ended with a night of frustration and like 40 for 2/4 food times I wanted to buy in the first place.s

This is the only app that has ever made me want to commit murder. The WORST. I've tried to use this app multiple times and every single time it's a total disaster. First of all, when you order for delivery it just doesn't show up. Cool, so just do pickup you might say. Wrong. You'll show up to the restaurant and they'll look at you like you have 3 heads, or try to tell you to pay at the restaurant, despite you having already paid for your food through this horrendous app. Today I reached my breaking point, though. They will lure you in with their $10 off coupons. I fell for it. Placed my order and went to check out. First it said my credit card number was invalid. Excuse me? Whatever. I try my boyfriends card. Same thing. Try my debit card. Nope. So we try on my boyfriends phone. Get the card to work, however now the coupon is invalid! "Only good on your first order" it says. This is my first order. I assume since I ATTEMPTED to place this order on my phone unsuccessfully it just went ahead and invalidated my coupon anyway. I don't know. All I know is you're better off just going to a drive thru and keeping your sanity. This app will break even the strongest minds. Stay away, save yourself. You will be left hungry and livid, you'll probably say some things you don't mean and destroy relationships with the ones you love most. Before downloading this nightmare just ask yourself, is it worth it?

Typically not bad. Typically when I use Grubhub (which is a lot lately considering that we are virtual learning) the drivers get the job done and are very nice. I have only had 2 issues. 1 is my address doesn’t pick up in the maps so I have to use the address one apartment building over and put in notes to the driver my actual address with explanation of why because I’m afraid my food won’t get delivered to the right place. The 2nd issue has only happened once. I ordered and my food never came and the driver never called/text to let me know it was delivered however the app showed it was delivered. Grubhub refunded my money so that was great but I had to figure out at the drop of a hat what I was going to do for lunch for my kids because it was past lunch time and it had to be something discreet because most virtual teachers don’t want kids eating during their class periods but also didn’t have that money to just order from somewhere else. My hands were tied. Pretty disappointing when you can’t leave to go to a store because your kids are home, there’s next to nothing available to eat at home and you’re depending on a delivery that doesn’t show up. Again, this only happened once but I kinda lean away from ordering as often out of fear that it will happen again.

Zero star worthy. So I have been using Grubhub for a while now and initially I didn’t have any issues. Then, every time I placed an order it would be late or no one would pick it up. So, I decided to delete the app. I recently downloaded it again after several months. Today I placed my first order at 6:41pm and had a delivery time of 7-7:10. At 7:30 I tried to use the chat with customer service button in the help section of the app and it didn’t do anything. So then I had to google the number. CS was nice and said they contacted the driver and my order would arrive in 15 minutes, the guy even said he would get them to redo my meal so it would be fresh. Ok, cool. I decide to wait on my balcony for the driver. Eventually another hour has gone by and I’m reminded of why I deleted this app. The restaurant contacted me asking why no one picked up the food and that they tried to reach the driver and they weren’t answering. I called CS for the second time and told the guy how ridiculous this was to have 2 hrs go by without ever being contacted and that I wanted a refund. He apologized and gave me a refund along with a $5 credit 🙄. So at 9:00 I had to run out to grab dinner. This is it Grubhub, you’ve lost a customer. You guys have the audacity to charge $8 to deliver and never deliver on time. This must be a sign that I need to cook more. Signing off forever!!

Worst Delivery App Company. I want to like Grubhub... I have used this app so many times I can’t even count but today is the last time. Literally no one messes up more than Grubhub. It’s truly astonishing! Almost every time we use them something goes wrong and no one at Grubhub wants to help. All we want is to give money to get food, simple as that. We get lots of food, we tip great, we treat everyone nice, we are good humans. But Grubhub loves to not help. I have waited for hours, multiple times, trying to talk to people at Grubhub who don’t want to make things right when their services aren’t completed. I worked in the food industry for years (thanking God right now I don’t still work in that industry because it’s a hard service to be a part of, respect for those in the weeds right at this moment) but if something gets messed up you get it fixed at a restaurant. Customer service is key! Not the case here. You’ll be lucky to talk to someone who cares let alone get a refund for what you paid for but didn’t arrive. Let me be clear, I understand places mess up, especially during a big dinner rush, but for this to happen over and over and over again when other apps perform WAY better... It’s very eye opening. Take one more second to use another app. I hope I save you money and heart ache and you get the well deserved food you paid for. You’re welcome.

Well.... So I used to love GrubHub and suggested it to all of my friends to download and use. Lately has been a different story. More often than not our food has taken at least an hour to get here, and I’ve had to walk outside and down the road or across the street because the drivers don’t leave their car. Now I’m understanding, so I called customer service to inform them of the issues I was having and the response I got was that they were short staffed and that it wasn’t policy to have the drivers bring the food to the door. But if I’m waiting for an hour, pay a delivery fee and tip, and then still have to go downstairs and outside down the road to get my food that’s ridiculous— what’s the point in paying for all that if they can’t even walk up to my door (and no it wasn’t raining or snowing or anything like that either). I talked to two customer service representatives and basically all I got was “I understand is there anything else I can help you with?” And felt extremely brushed off. I think we will be taking a long break from the app while they fix these issues. I’ve been using it for a long time and it’s upsetting that after having all these issues all I got from them was “oh I understand but if I can’t help you with anything else have a nice day”

Used to love GrubHub until I was hacked. I’ve used GrubHub for years and thought it was great! Unfortunately, my account got hacked and someone used my account to order $40 worth of food and then changed the email on the account so they could change the password. As soon as I noticed the charges and reported it to Customer Care, I got an email saying they moved my inquiry to “priority” due to the serious nature of the concern and that they would be in contact with me shortly. The email also suggested I reset my password if possible, but I can’t since the hacker changed my account info. Days go by and nothing. I sent an email on the same thread asking for an update and a refund and still nothing. It’s been about 2 weeks and I still have not received a response. I was able to remove my payment from my account, luckily, but now I still can’t use my account because of the account log in change. EDIT: The same day I posted this review, GrubHub got back to me and sent me a refund and helped solve my issue so I adjusted my rating. I do think that serious matters like this should be handled quicker, but do appreciate them handling the situation in a fair manner.

Just read. Let me start this by saying the customer service reps are the worst I have ever had to deal with ever in my whole life. There has been a lot of times where I have had to call in and had to either get a refund or whole items were missing from my orders MULTIPLE times! This is by far frustrating to me, and is down right stealing at times! However, besides the horrid customer service department that just needs to be ushered out and replaced all together because they basically stole my money and didn’t give me it back. The app itself doesn’t always work right and the drivers are kind of rude as well and the food won’t be hot by any means, and like I said before there is a chance the drivers will not check your order to make sure everything is there and just flat out leave things at the restaurant and won’t go back to get your full order! It’s kind of useless as a service. I work night shifts so this is appreciated when it works right and all the food and drink arrives that has been ordered! Again, if you are thinking of downloading this be careful the drivers might just throw your food at you or leave the food at the restaurants.

Giving inconsistent realness.. Here in NYC, The restaurants hike up the prices, everybody knows it. And then in addition GrubHub charges their fees On top of taxes. So first is the marked up items, then the taxes, then their fees(A percentage), and The tips are set to percentage values. The percentages are based on the total of the entire transaction, why would I tip someone on top of fees on top of taxes. I’m tippi’n for delivering the food, not for your support in the federal/state government and GrubHub?!?! I know in Manhattan standard is 20%. So when it goes below 20% one feels as though they’re not doing enough. But it’s all manipulation. *********Update______ GrubHub reply to me, when I came back to the App Store to read it I noticed GrubHub‘s ratings. 4.7 out of five stars?????? I read through them, the most critical sound it’s very similar to my experience, with details, and it was easy to read, as if a person was explaining their experience. And then I read through most favorable—-not easy to read, the statements read like bullet points or copy and paste. And even the ones that attempted to be a bit more natural, we’re so exaggerated. Thank you for being the best app out of all the apps and delivering food to my starving family while my husband died. Hmmmmm. If you see this, report this app to Apple and hopefully we can get them to shut down.
