Suggestion for improvement. Starting to find words like ‘transentorhinal’ that are not in Tabor’s. Do you plan to upgrade the anatomical wordset, soon?

Best Medical Dictionary. This has been my go-to dictionary for the past 20 years! I like detail information and this dictionary provides that and more.

Love it!. I haven’t paid to renew my subscription because I find it too pricey... but I still don't go for more than a few days with out referring to it (luckily it doesn’t take away what you already have access to, it just doesn’t let you update to get newest info without renewal).... Why does it need to be so expensive? I love the mobility! Please consider affordability... we’re not all doctors!

A must have. This is a must have dictionary app as it is the most complete compared to any other (Oxford/Dorlands). Unbound medicine has finally updated it to be compatible with iPad(1&2). Amazing once again and a must have, I will give it 5 stars once the issue below is fixed. Note to developers: please make it faster while searching for things as it lags. The iPhone version never lagged when I used it on my iPhone 4 and now that I only have an iPad 2, it was lag free to date on the ipad 2 as well until I updated today to the iPad full size version I notice a lag while typing in my entries.

Taber’s medical dictionary is the best!. I’m a student of veterinary technology. Taber’s medical dictionary is user friendly because Navi-menu is simple and well organized. There are lot of illustrations and pictures. Every word starts with pronouncing sounds player with clear American pronounce. It absolutely worth the money in my opinion:)

Nursing diagnoses. I renewed my Taber’s subscription ONLY for the nursing diagnoses. All the different ways it was organized helped so much. Now there are NO diagnoses at all. Such a dumb removal. I won’t renew.

not so inclusive. most of the things I would like to know more about or haven’t a clue aren’t included. If you search for an acronym only the full words are shown not the definition. Don’t waste your money on this expensive app when you have google.

A fantastic resource for a busy medical student on the move!. This is the quickest and most reliable method that I've found, on the iPhone, for answering questions regarding medical terminology. Most importantly, it is always in my pocket. When you are busy on the ward and there are no free computers, you still have Taber's at your fingertips (provided you have a subscription). I just renewed my Taber's subscription, because it has been worth every penny over the last year (3rd year medical clerkships). Actually, the renewal is only ~$30. - It has useful images, unlike some other med dictionary apps. - You can save high yield terms in your favorites folder for review later in the day. ****** Note: To those upset about not getting something for nothing... **************** - Taber's Medical Dictionary is not a free service. The APP to access it from your iPhone is free. This has been VERY clearly stated in the description of this app above. It is wise to read descriptions before downloading apps and certainly before complaining about "false advertising". - There are free dictionary apps, dictionary websites and of course Wiki (though you shouldn't trust it for anything clinical), if the price is the sticking point.

Tabor medical dictionary. Love the new features

Good Content, but can be better. I would recommend either 1. Taber's or 2. Dorland's illustrated dictionary 32nd Dorland's is much more exhaustive and frankly I prefer Dorland's. I had bought Taber's mobile dictionary 1 year ago thinking it was cheaper than Dorland's dictionary. It is not so. Taber's purchase limits you to 1 year subscription for both mobile + web (a fact I didn't know until it expired a few days ago.) Besides being restricted to one iPad + one phone (plus web access) My mistake : I had thought it was a life time subscription, with the web access being available for 1 year. Pros of Dorland's 1. one time purchase 2. I have two iPads, one phone, one ipod touch...my sister has one ipad, one iphone...So We share the ID, and thus the app is available everywhere for use. ( cost / device becomes much cheaper this way.) Dorland's, if you are reading this. Don't get any ideas and go the subscription style. I will be recommending you to many others. Content wise, if money is not a problem, Get Taber's too. Some definitions are easier to understand in one app, and vice versa.

Nursing Student "Must Have!". I almost dropped my iPhone (in excitement!) when I first discovered the availability of Taber's on the app store. I've been using the Palm PDA version of Taber's for a year now and love it. The new version here on the app store also provides users with all of the "figures" that were previously not available in the PDA versions. The outstanding figures take advantage of iPhone and iPod Touch’s unique ability to zoom in and out and include such things as the heart and cranial nerves among a thousand others. The program is also "self contained" meaning that after you download and purchase it you no longer need to connect to the web to use it, unless updating the software which is included for a year. I can't get over how amazing it is to have one of the best medical encyclopedias in my pocket with the amazing interface Apple has provided. Flawless! This is a "must have" for nursing students.

Ridiculously confusing installation for an iPhone. I purchased this from Skyscape and attempted to install via my iPhone. First, disregard the install instructions on the Skyscape site--they are totally wrong and were obviously written for some other Skyscape product. Don't be tempted to download Taber's through the Unbound Medicine link--different merchant with the same product; your serial number you purchased from Skyscape will not work with Unbound. This is a wonderful resource once installed, however, be prepared for the most needlessly excruciating and frustrating installation of any app on your iPhone. NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: rewrite accurate instruction on the Skyscape website.

Great reference tool. Taber’s was one of the first medical books I was introduced to as a teen volunteering at my local hospital and I’ve used one ever since and now the updated app since it became available. I’m a retired RN, healthcare consultant and certified medical coder and this book has guided me in reviewing medical records over the years. Excellent tool.

AS AN RN I ALWAYS FIND THIS REFERENCE EXTREMELY HELPFUL!. I have been an RN for more than 50 years. Taber’s Medical Dictionary is a “go to” for so many diagnoses and information. I don’t want to ever be without this handy reference tool. I recommend Tabor’s to everyone in the nursing profession from students to those in PhD program.

Awesome App!!!!. I have been surprised (in a good way) by the amount of information I got in this app... True, I needed to get a subscription to Unbound for $50, but after the initial download, I now have SO MUCH information at my fingertips... wherever I go... (no internet required to access info after the initial download!) It really is so worth the money! Just think, we spend more than $100 on one textbook, which just sits on our shelves most of the time... But, this book, and all it's info, travels with you! I had some questions while setting it all up and the Unbound people were very prompt and helpful! Overall, I'm very impressed!!

Do not use unbound. I have had many of their products in last few years at about 60 an app. iOS 11 comes along and they are the ONLY app publisher that didn’t update their product to work in iOS 11. Their solution - rebuy every app to the updated iOS app. I bought the standalone non subscription app to prevent downstream costs with a huge upfront cost. Egg on my face huh. Unbound had 2 years to update all their apps but chose to gouge their customer base!

Awesome tool. I am an Athletic Training student, and this is an awesome tool to have. If you are in the health field of any kind it is worth the purchase. I was debating between buying the actual book and this app. I went with the app because unlike books it will update after the purchase. But of course I haven had the app long enough to go through a different book edition. So I could be wrong. If I'm wrong, it's worth the price

Great resource for nursing student. I own Taber's in hard copy and on my iPhone. I use it often for looking up diseases, abbreviations. I have been very happy to have the book and I find I use the iPhone app just as often, if not more often than the book. A little pricey for the app, but then do you want to carry the thick book around along with the other books you need to bring to class? The convenience of the app outweighs the price for me.

Pay to use app. Pay to use app

Good app, but tired of having to pay to renew. Update: I now have access to the app for 1 more year. I bought this app a few years ago. Because I did not renew it, I now do not have access to the content because the app I bought has not been updated by the developer to work with later versions of iOS.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!. Definitely don't buy if you plan to upgrade your phone or have a bug and need to contact customer service. Im a physician and thought the $50 fee was reasonable, but I bought the new iphone 3GS/changed my phone# and I am no longer able to access Tabers. When I try to login, it denies me access and says to call customer service. When I called customer service, I always got an answering machine which said they will call you back in 1 business day. THEY NEVER CALLED BACK!!!! I've left a message nearly everyday for a 2 weeks, still no call back. I'm definitely not paying another $50 just to get this dictionary, and I will tell all my colleagues to never buy from Unbound out of pure principle.

come on!. After much hesitation due to negative reviews, I purchased the Taber's. I already own the hard copy of the 20th edition but really needed it for work on my ipod touch. It works so far. Same content and info as the hard copy! You get the updates for a year, but get to keep the Taber's dictionary on your ipod touch. Also, you do not need wifi connection to access the info (except for the first download and the updates as well as the pronounciation feature), which was a big concern when I purchased the dictionary. However, I agree that the "free program" classification can be misleading. Hey, the book sells for $35, it's not going to be free.

Kathy. Wouldn’t want to be without my Taber’s app! Love it! Thanks!

Unusable unless you pay. It won't allow you to look anything up unless you pay $40. Why are definitions such a secret? Seriously have you ever heard of google? Don't waste your time. Just google what you wanna know

It's not free. This App is not free.

Great app. Love the app. You shouldn't have to renew each year. It keeps working, you just have to pay for updates if you want them after a year. This uploads to your phone and you don't need a Internet connection. I love the app. I had a friend that bought the book and I bought the app for the same price. His never updates why would I expect mine to after a year. A must have for all medical students.

very fast. yes its $50, but worth it so you don't have to flip through the pages trying to find what your looking. Plus when you start typing in the name, it automatically starts the search with the letters you enter which helps out if you don't know how to spell all of the crazy words that are out there. Worth every penny and is a great tool to have with you at all times.

Very Good. It is very to comprehend.

Better. Than 1995’s!

Doing what I need it to do, now on my iPad--GREAT!. I have used Unbound Medicine's version of Taber's on my Palm Treo and then on my Blackberry Torch. I really like the videos it has--they simplify concepts to make them easier to understand. You can also 'star' your favorites, so you can review them PRN. I am currently using them (Taber's and Merck Manual) to assist me with the CE topics that I have chosen and I have them both on my iPad and iPhone. I use the iPad while I'm studying and the iPhone when I need to look something up while at work or away from home. Very convenient and easy to use. The iPad version is easier to use than Blackberry, so I am VERY pleased!

need audio included in the file itself. I work in the hospital in one of non-English speaking countries. I really wanted to get a medical dic with audio files bcuz I can hardly hear the exact pronunciations of medical terms even on the web. I agree the content of this dic is good, BUT I want to hear the audio soon after clicking the speaker icon. It takes too long to access and play the audio files on the web. Actually I purchased this app bcuz u guys said this has audio files integrated but u cheated me! It's not integrated but requires internet connection as well as my patience to be played. So I want audio files included in the app file itself!!!

HOSA. This was cited as where HOSA draws its terms for Medical Spelling Conpetitions but i cant use it because you have to pay to view it. Cmon man

A good dictionary database, but some frustration with the interface.. I bought this program for use during and after PA school. We have lots of definitions to type, share and study. This was the only electronic version that was included as a choice dictionary. Overall I've been moderately satisfied, but improvements need to be made before I'd recommend this to a friend. 1. My biggest frustration is that the application itself doesn't seem able to handle a rapid flow of text. When typing, if I enter a string of characters any faster than hunt-and-poke with one hand duplicate characters appear. Thus, when I'm using my bluetooth keyboard or typing two handed on my iPad, a text entry such as atelectasis will appear "attelecctassis". Most frustrating to have to type 50 vocab words slowly. 2. Generally the database is sufficient, but on some entries I've been disappointed that there is not more information (a line or two at most). On others, the depth is great. Limited figures and charts make me miss my old RN dictionary. 3. Price and term hold me back given the above issues. If the price was more affordable, or the there was not a limited use term (I think 1 year for updating, afterwards, result is . . . ?) I would be more likely to recommend to others. The above issues should not exist in a dictionary of this price and of this name.

Not enough to help define medical terminology. Waste of $.. enough. Every medical term is not included with enough of a definition to help with class. I wasted money on this app..

Performance. Nice but limited Should huge work in Otology and neuro Otology poor

Awesome app. Awesome

Needs Update. Apple’s last update is not compatible with the current version of Taber’s.... I need this resource for school ... STAT! Please fix this

Amazing content... Sometimes a tad slow. Great pocket companion to the actual dictionary, especially during clinical rotations for a quick check! Only semi problem is that sometimes it runs a little slow... But then again it is a dictionary.. And for the reviews about the 1 year, it comes with the book as a bonus... Be glad considering the thousands of dollars medical field students already spend on textbooks and supplemental material.

Ignore 2-star rating from those who can't be bothered to read the app's description. many of whom are also among those who expect something for nothing. This app is a free iPhone/iTouch interface for the Taber's Dictionary which, like most if not all things of value in this world, costs money. There are a number of apps on the appstore which don't cost anything to download but require membership or purchase of something elsewhere in order to function. This is one of them. It works very well as an interface for Taber's Medical Dictionary. I *much* prefer Unbound's interface for common medical references such as Taber's to that of the competition, ie Skyscape. (Note that skyscape avoids getting bashed for a "free but not free" app by providing a few free chunks of content with it's reader/interface app. If you want Taber's through skyscape, however, you'll still have to pay for it.)

Zero stars. This app wouldn’t load on my phone. Does me no good. Would like to have refund.

Medical Knowledge. My mother had us researching our symptoms since we were kids, and the day she started having us do that, she has built our trust in the Taber’s. I have LOVED them putting this book and it’s information in a app for the phones.

Doesn’t even work.. Doesn’t even work. They took my money and they won’t even let me use the app

Great customer support. Customer support was more than helpful with my issues! Cannot wait to use this app for nursing school! Thank you!! Gaylen was extremely helpful and nice!!

A SCAM. All they want is your money, you can’t even access your account after you purchase it. Waste of money and customer service doesn’t even respond and their email address on their website doesn’t even exist as a real email. SCAMMERS!

Rip off!. Even an old book can still be used without having to by new pages. This app expires with no warning and when you move to a new phone the app is then inaccessible. But for another large fee you can rent it again until then next time. What a rip-off!! I thought I bought the non-expiring book the 1st time. Not pleased. Too expensive the 1st time. Way too expensive the 2nd time, especially for something you can’t even physically touch or pass on to those that follow, children, students, medical library. The review stays the same. If it would allow less than one star I would change it. The only permanent thing about this book is this review, at least until you erase it or hide it.

Comprehensive. This is an excellent comprehensive dictionary. As long as they don't ask for a subscription fee, I will rate it very highly.

An essential tool.. Of course, we can always look something up on the web, but Taber’s provides clinically relevant, unbiased information easily and quickly available that I use often in my practice as a family nurse practitioner.

Convenience. First thing you should know is that its not free, but that said, this App is very useful, its got pictures and audio, were it pronounces the words for you, its full of information the same that you would find in the book, but it’s a lighter version of it, you don’t have to carry that book around, you have some extra space in your backpack and the information is right in your fingertips, convenience isn’t that what the iPod and iPhone were made for?

Don't buy it's a rip off. I paid 39$ for the 21 edition and once they come up with their new update they remove it from iTunes Store and if I want to purchase the new version I have to pay for it .are you kidding this is called a rip off .please don't unless they come up with solution for the new update we either have to pay partial or free for those who already paid .

Don. I updated my application and was not able to use the dictionary that I purchased last year. You are supposed to be able to use it except the web functionality even if you did not update your subscription. Support from unbound medicine stated that I need to purchase a new one since I am using a new iPhone now. 9-3-10: Part of the earlier review was removed by me, since I received an e-mail from the support team that I was given the wrong information. He said that I can transfer Tabers dictionary to my new iPhone since it's not updated on a regular basis unlike other software, unless a new edition of the book is released. He will even help me personally to transfer the software to my new device. I have not reinstall the software at this time.

Not good. Need a paid subscription, the app is false advertisement! Don't bother

Frustrating.... Since the app was listed as "free" I tried it - without seeing that it is, in fact, NOT free, since you need a subscription to use it. To be fair, this is mentioned in the description, but I feel this app shouldn't be in the "free" section since it really isn't without cost. Seems quite a few people have made the same mistake. At least all I lost was a few minutes. :)

Really good. Stable, fast, many great diagrams and has a file with the proper audio pronunciation of each word. I bought this and Oxford, I prefer this.

not for every one. Please be aware that this needs a paid perscription. Does say so on info, but I must have not read that

WASTE OF DOWNLOAD!!!!. You have to login to even see anything. What a waste of download and time!!! DON'T BOTHER!!!

Taber’s dictionary. I use it all the time at work. Fabulous.

Get the oxford instead. The dictionary itself is decent but not as good as the oxford which can be purchased directly from itunes for a third the price. The installation process is very clunky and requires the content to be downloaded wirelessly. Even over a solid wifi connection i found this to be slow and needed to restart the download several times. It's pathetic that they are attempting to rent a dictionary. Although you can retain the data on your phone after your subscription expires you will be unable to reinstall if you need to wipe your phone or want to transfer your purchasea to the next iphone.

Waste Of time. Big waste of time down loading this so called free app

Another misleading app. The use of the term free should be restricted to actual free apps. this is only usable if you have a paid subscription, thereby meaning this app is not free. Just because they don't charge for the app means they should be allowed to do it. Same as all other free, but in app purchasing apps. They are not free

For "Current Subscribers" ONLY. I should have read the blurb on the side before I installed it. I can't rate this as I obviously couldn't use it.

EEN. One of the best apps for a nurse to be able to access in their practice. Educational video's are an added bonus.

Waste. Don't buy please. Data is very poor. Subscription only to one mobile for 1 year. On the other hand skyscape and Omnio much better.

A medical dictionary for free...cool!!!. Eh,it's free so why the he'll not?!!!!

Stupid.. All I wanted were a few definitions. This app is NOT free.

Horrible ripoff. They charge you $50 for the app which is of questionable quality and then give you a hard time to reinstall it if you accidentally remove the app. If you change the phone then simply forget it and say goodbye to your money. Such a ripoff. Do not recommend at all.

very disappointed. unable to use this application due to sign up difficulties. Poor follow up buy company on my email. waste of money.

Not working. I bought this app and every time I open this app, it says that the app is missing content update it. And then every time I update it, the app says that update done. But again it tells me to update and that the content is missing! So frustrated!

It's not free!!! ...Download to Delete!. Misrepresenting App....

Satisfied. I read the reviews. Attempted to access my dictionary after a year and could not use it unless I renewed it for $30, just as previous posts had stated. However, after sending in an email to customer support via their web site. The company replied within 5 mins & reset my account. So I am now able to use the dictionary once again. It is very useful. I am a medic and use it regularly.

why? why? why?!. if the dictionary was bundled with the app I would buy this dictionary in a second. but it's not. instead you can only download it once. if something happens to your iPhone, it's gone. if you want to upgrade your iPod, it's gone. if you accidentally delete it from your iPhone, it's gone. $50 wasted. dumb system. forget it.

Good ref. but $$$!. The images are not very detailed. Why for $50 it works on 1 iPhone only? I also have a itouch but will need to buy a 2nd app for that.

It' a ripoff. Do not buy this dictionary! Once your subscription expires you no longer have access to the original dictionary. Paying a yearly subscription for updates for new word is fine if you need them but losing access to the previous edition is a greedy money grab!

Ripoff RENTAL App. Utterly DISGUSTED that this is nothing more than a “yearly rental” app! I strongly suggest go with a different product.

Disappointed. Don't buy for all the reasons already mentioned ...what a shame

Ripp-off. Total cr*p. They trying to get to your pocket not once, but every year. Go with Darland's. They have a fair deal.

READ THE DESCRIPTION. This is a very useful app provided you already have a Taber's subscription. Quite simply, its an app that acts as a free interface for a seperate service which happens to require a subscription, much in the way bloomberg's app can act as a free interface for the Bloomberg Anywhere service.

Taber. I have been waiting and waiting for Taber's to become available for iPhone. It is the full text of the reference work and not at all disappointing. Such a fantastic thing for students and practitioners in all areas of science! Indeed it is not "free", but I would never expect a work of this magnitude to be free.

Review for Taber's Medical dictionary. I went to nursing school in 1973. All my instructors encouraged the class to use the Taber's throughout our nursing education. They were right. It has every thing you need from terms to lab values etc... With todays technology you can carry it with you on any device of your choice. The latest Taber's is twice as thick of the size of my Taber's that I used in 1973. Josephine.

RN student. My Taber's app is always open when I am studying, which is pretty much all the time! If you haven't looked at the appendixes, they are very useful. I printed the abbreviations to bring to clinical so I can decipher the notes in my patients chart. This is a must have resource, well worth the upgrade. I have a 4.0 average and I know Taber's helped me earn it!

Free? Not really!. I bought the hardcopy version and looked online at Apple's App Store and got all excited at the "free" application for Taber's which I thought was GREAT to supplement what I had already bought. Unfortunately, although it says "FREE" it's not! After logging into the application it asked for money to continue! Where is Apple to regulate this company? LIES! At least tell us it costs something at the beginning like their skyscope version.

Unfair Business practice. I am willing to keep the content I purchased without updating it. Now I have just been cut off and I don’t have a medical dictionary. There was no information thad told me that this expensive app would expire. Poor Business Practice. The content was fine, I didn’t expect to have to pay for the same dictionary again.

Read it people!!. To all those who give this app 1 and 2 stars for the subscription fee you have to pay. Stop it! Read first before you review! The subscription is the first thing mentioned when reading about the app. I want to see how many stars this app would receive based on its merit, not on the so called "scam" everyone is calling out. Thanks everyone!

Rip Off!. Why is it that you have to pay for a subscription and not just pay for the book/app once what's up with that? I downloaded this app and found you have to pay for a subscription, I am sooo not paying for this book every year. Let face it this is a rip off, case-in-point: When I bought my regular dictionaries such as Webster's I did not need to buy a new one every year...i.e subscription. I payed for it upfront and got my book and it will not disappear in a year and/or required me to pay again when the subscription has expired. Let's face it this is a rip off.

Very helpful. Yes this app is free if you already have a user ID and password, which you do have to pay for and is worth every $$$$$ spent on it. As a nursing student this works great, no lugging around the book and flipping through pages. READ THE DISCRIPTION ON THE FIRST LINE BEFORE YOU GIVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW.

Must-have resource for any medical professional. Excellent reference. My only gripe is that the subscription price should include access on both the iPad and iPhone, instead of having to choose on or the other.

Larry RN. Taber's for the I-Touch is easy to use; I love the favorites recall. I use the hardcover 19th edition at home. Being able to have the 21st edition on my I-touch is what I have been waiting for.

Nurse. I have been using Taber's since I began in nursing some 30+ years ago, and I still use it today.

I hate Unbound! . Unbound, you are a horrible developer. I BOUGHT brand new editions of not only Taber's Medical Dictionary but Davis's Drug Guide (the actual books) because it was ADVERTISED as free for the online subscription. That much was true, partially. I got to set up usernames, but once I load Davis's, I only have the PARTIAL book. The Taber's app won't even let me in! I go to log in and it demands I UPGRADE. FOR MORE MONEY. I'm NOT paying TWICE.

Purchased instead of textbook. ...well worth the money since I saved buying the text for school, and the app works on both iPad and phone. Quick and accurate, I'm using it constantly.

Review use for A&P(Taber's Medical Dic). Beautiful tool, computers are faster but this book tends to engage the mind and hands, in doing that I have found it to have a longer lasting effect on material studied. I believe it's the process of looking through the pages with your hands that helps to retain the information.

So far so good. I've just started studying to be a medical transcriptionist and this resource was recommended by the woman who wrote the curriculum. So far I've found it very helpful and it functions very well.

Good Customer Service. I had some difficulty downloading, but tech support fixed the problem quickly. Great info to always have on hand.

Excellent tool!. I have used this daily since purchasing! It was an excellent tool for college use and now helps me in my practice!

It serves the purpose, it still needs to include more words. It will also be a good idea if it would. It serves the purpose. However, it is not comprehensive as its name. It will also be a good idea if it includes some video clips of related procedures. It would also be helpful if it includes more pictures and examples treatments and rationale. Otherwise, it is a fine dictionary.

UPDATE. I thought I lost access, but I deleted and reinstalled the app, and it gave me access once again to the medical dictionary. Thank you Unbound for making this right. For $50, it's not right to lose your app after a year.

RIP OFF!!. $50 for nothing. If I would have purchased the book I would be able to refer back to it for as long as I keep it. Same thing with a subscription to a magazine. I would still have the old copies for reference. Not so with this subscription. $50 for rent of this app and one year later, nothing to show for it but a bad taste in my mouth.

Love it for Nursing school. Unlike many of the reviewers, I did not get this in a bundle but bought it alone. I use it everyday - for reading nursing school books and to look up NANDA nursing diagnosis for clinical. The only reason it got 4 stars is that it is blurry on the IPad full view. I have no problem viewing on my iPhone and IPad. Please update for IPad. I see a lot of students and doctors walking around with an iPad in the hospital.

CRNA. I have owned both Palm OS And Windows Mobile both of which worked most of the time but this app for iPod Touch is outstanding. It is elegant and seamless. It works without flaw, it was easy to download and is a joy to use. And don't forget, it is very pleasing to the eye. Stephanie

Student nurse.. Believe it or leave it , you better have it. I don't have much to say, you try it and then you will let others know about it.

Great App if you want to pay every year. This app is excellent. I have no issue with the content, its functionality, nothing. I've had it for years. But this year, I refuse to pay another $40 for a book every year. I'm very disappointed. I actually really, REALLY like it. But I can't see having to pay year after year for the SAME book. I'm really disappointed to lose this one. But it's the principle of it all.

PM. As a Paramedic and Instructor, I reference Taber's frequently to understand better and to help others understand. The graphics are terrific and the definitions are concise yet thorough. Most entries have links to related entries that actually ARE related and pertinent. This application is a great addition to my reference materials.

Comes In Handy. It's great to have a reference on ur phone that provides quick and easy access. But I wish it had more content. Including lab and test abbreviations with a description included.

Nothing this good is ever free!. Previously had Taber's 20th ED on my Palm T/X and switched to the iTouch. So much better and easier to use. While it states that this is a free app, you should note that you have to have a paid subscription to access the data. Well worth the fee!

Taber's medical dictionary. Essential.....to have on your hip while on the cart, and on the floor. A tool you will not want to be without! As important as your scissors.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I paid for a subscription. I paid for a new subscription when mine expired(dumb) and now I can't get it to load. I keep getting the error that I need to renew or up grade. I hope support will try to answer me but from the other reviews, it sound like I'm in a lot of trouble.

Expensive but worth it. I have been using this for two years while in school for Chinese medicine. I have found it to be an excellent resource (and a required text). Love having it on my phone for super fast referencing.

Practical!. I own the hardcover and it is just too heavy to carry along with my other books. This is great to pull up on my phone whenever I need it.

Convenient. Easy to use, I always find what I need. This app has been extremely helpful in use with my studying. Thank you.

RN. I have a hardcopy of Tabers Medical dictionary that I rely on in the mission field now. I am looking forward to a new electronic version that will be easier to carry with me this year. Taber's is my medical "bible" in the field. Thanks.

Excellent app!!. Love having this wonderful medical dictionary at my fingertips. As a doctor, I'm always reading texts and studies, new and old, and it is tremendously handy to have this app right next to me as a reference!

Nurse. This was a great app, but the recent update (8/11) is very SLOW. It is now painful to use and not worth it. When contacting the developer, they perceived the update as a "big improvement in the search platform" and said that "it may be a little slower". This is huge understatement and they refuse to acknowledge the degree of the problem or fix it. I No longer recommend. Will change review if problem is resolved.

An old friend. I first used taber's in college in 1970 it's been an old friend. It's informative and handy. As I have journed in my. Nursing Profession it's been here. I was delighted to have it mobile thanks

Expensive but awesome. First review I have written so, that should tell you something. Got tired of searching the Google for everything because it was a waste of time. This is a great resource for nursing students. If you can afford it, buy it.

Pretty good app. The database has a good amount of information but there are times I need to go to other sources for more info. Also the app can't handle it if I type fast. I would say its okay but if I had to do it all over again I would have purchased a different medical dictionary.

Beware - Updating of this Program Keeps Timing Out. I bought this program a few months ago and went to update it. The update keeps timing out after completing 60% of the download. The program must be update before it is operational. After having the download time out 20 times in a row in the same manner, I feel compelled to warn others about spending money until this has been fixed.

Beyond upset. I downloaded the full version of this dictionary a while back. Paid for the entire content. However, now that I try to open the app, it says it requires and an upgrade. I do not wish to pay again. And I will not pay again. If I have bought a dictionary for over $40, I expect the developer to have the decency to mention that the license will require an upgrade or whatever in the future so that I don't buy the darn thing in the first place. So disappointed.

LOVE IT!!!!!. I am in school and clinicals for LPN and going to transition to the RN program. I absolutely love this APP.. I am sooo glad that I do not have to take Nursing Diagnosis Book, Drug book, and Medical dictionary to the hospital... With these Apps all the info I need is 3 finger touches away... This is sooo Awsemone... So happy that I invested in the Ipod as well as the Apps... I give these APPS an A+++++++++++++

The services behind the app is not good. Run away fast…... I tried to get this app and for some how got they gave me the 21. Tried to make correction and they don't want to fix. They told me they cannot do anything about it because I paid Apple. Thank god for apple and their costumer service, "we are the boss of what we want." Service is really bad and that what makes the product. Look at the rating…. How stupid can they bee. Hill bullies LOL

Awesome and Essential App. Excellent I've been able to find a use out every feature the app has to offer so far.

Better than lugging around the books to clinicals!. Yes, you have to pay for the actual dictionary. You have to pay for the paper version as well. This interface is great, and I like that I have my Taber's in my pocket. An indespensable resource made even more indespensable!

Asks me to update all the time. I bought this app and yet it is always asking me to update. I click update and it tries to solicit me for more money. Making this more irritating is the fact that I have poor cellular reception in the hospital, so when it tries to talk to their server there is a delay. I have the actual physical book on my shelf here, and I paid the same price as the digital copy. I can use it any time I want without being solicited. Why can I not be afforded the same courtesy with the digital copy?

Very good. I used this app all the time during MS1 and MS2. I use it less during MS3 because it often doesn't have procedures or more esoteric material. However, I still use it daily because it's a great, quick reference for general medical terms and conditions. It works off-line, so it's way faster than other resources. I highly recommend this as a first-line resource for quick reminders and explanations.

Fraud!. Bought it through the app store when it said you can buy for $50 & continue to get it after a year but without updates. What they failed to disclose is that they solicit you to update constantly & if you do it (while updating the other 10 apps that need updating that day) after a year has passed it locks you out & makes you buy it again. I'll never use it in any form now.

Please read, folks.... It CLEARLY states in the description that it requires a paid subscription to their online service. It's noted with asterisks and everything. To everyone complaining that "IT'S NOT FREE!!" , if you're planning to be health care professionals in the future, please make sure you pay closer attention to detail and read your patient notes better than you read this app description.....

Help when needed :-). Tabers on my iPhone is like a dream come true. I have referred to it in group study and have been the person of the day because of having the info at my fingertips. In my solo studying, in class, it's really a God send. Thank you Tabers. Occasionally there are terms I don't find so that is my only criticism.
