Worthless. I removed this app after a day. It doesn't work with most popular music applications, and the quality of the visualizer is mediocre at best.

not a visualizer.... This app is useless to me because it has no syncing to audio at all. If there's something that's free like this app, this is what you get.

Missed the boat.... As others have said, it's GREAT that this uses the microphone in, but since it doesn't do TV out, it's just a useless toy. Oh well, still looking...

Not very good. This only goes to the music if you're playing through the speaker, not headphones. The visuals will still show with headphones on but it's not like it goes to the music. Might be fine for some people, but it was too generic looking for me.

First app I ever purchased. I've enjoyed this for years! It's calming for my special needs daughter.

Disappointed. No bluetooth support. Effects aren't accurate to the music, but, as good as it gets I suppose.

Good app. Very good app I like that I can play my app radios and switch too the visualizer. Has speed control on visuals. It dose have some effects just wish it had more.

Exactly what I wanted. I wanted something that would simply offer ambient random animation (like a kinetic screensaver of sorts). Sound interaction wasn't even necessary. My goal was to HDMI line into my flat screen to use as ambient lighting. NOT ONLY is it as simple as that, it ALSO works (!!) with the Internet radio app I use. BONUS**pairs quite nicely with a some space jazz and the tv on sleep timer when I have insomnia... 💤

Disappointed.. All I was looking for was a simple sound bar that was fun to watch while playing tunes on the ipad. However these visuals are either plain boring or childishly dumb. You can't even set the colors. I gave this app a while to see if it was updated or grew on me. It didn't, so it was deleted. Don't waste your time.

No visuals for music through headphones. If you want some visuals for your music while you're using headphones, you're SOL. It only visualizes audio input via microphone.

Won’t work with Bluetooth. I listen to my Gen 3 iPod touch via Jambox blue tooth speaker. THIS APP will not work with bluetooth - as soon as the app plays music the sound switches to the internal speaker, shut the app off and the bluetooth comes back. Too bad too the visualization display is better than the blank screen or album art Apple makes us look at.

Very good. I like this app very much wish it would allow for pandora to play in the background or other music apps this would be my toto for visualizations to music I can't find an app that will allow music from other apps to be played as this one generates the visuals. Make that happen and I'll give you 10 stars

Bad. Does not match up with the music well. Old generic sound visualizer mash up. Low quality. Poor customization.

Horrible app. This is a horrible app. I got it thinking that it would give my music special effects, but it ended up messing up my ipad. I played music and it was playing weird noises, even after I deleted it.

Amazing. I needed a visualizer for my son - 19months old. He's always had a star nightlight for the ceiling but we haven't been able to use it lately. I found this, loaded up his night night mix and hit play. He sat and watched it for a while and drifted off. 5/5 perfect - does what I need it to and the baby loves it.

It's good but.... I like the app but the problem is I can't use my Bluetooth speakers when I use the app.

Lame. The graphics on this app are barely interesting. When I went looking for this type of app, I assumed that the technology would have moved beyond the music graphics I used to see 10 years ago...I was wrong. But the worst thing is that the app can't even keep up with the beat. Changes in the music don't appear in the graphics until seconds later. Don't waste your time.

Great. I am horribly addicted to this. I have things to do, but I'm playing around with this instead, and I don't regret it.

Headphones. I only listen to music with headphones. I'd like something to watch so I can focus on the music. Is this a hardware problem? Thanks.

Doesn't Follow Beat. Simply doesn't follow the beat, I am unsure why Apple has yet to release a visualizer for iOS.

Doesn't go along with music. It doesn't play along like the music, and it has a blank screen for more than half the time.

Needs update for iOS 11. Needs to be 64 bit app to survive (but I'll be uninstalling it before that). Moreover it does not support Landscape orientation, switches device to Portrait, which (if device is actually in Landscape orientation, i.e., using a cover stand), app settings and any PIP window will be in wrong orientation to 'appreciate'.

Wouldn't launch at all. Tried to run it several times, each time it showed the splash screen and kicked me back to the home screen.

Almost awesome. Finally i found a visual that would display with Pandora. My reason for four stars is with plug in head phones its great. With blue tooth head phones, the visuals will work but no sound. Went through all the settings and still could not get sound with visuals.

Moves too fast. The colors and designs a beautiful. But the display moves so fast that even at the slowest speed it gave me a headache. I wanted something that would relax me when I watched it. If it could be slowed down to about half the current slow speed I'd reload it and use it.

Fantastic. Fantastic app; amazing on a projector during dance parties. Only regrets are 1) please add gesture based swipes etc for next song/prev song when playing from built in playlist; 2) have the option to flash album art and song details on screen when next song starts (like iTunes) 3) cross fade songs for seamless track changes. Good visualisations but needs landscape mode. This app shows great visualisations and is very creative. Similar to GForce Gold. I enjoy it but 1) Needs a landscape mode so it can use the full screen on airplay mirroring 2) needs integration with iTunes library 3) Needs a more thought out method to access the settings - one finger touches are just too easy to do accidentally.

Music. Good app The update made it better

Does work. Many people have been complaining about not being able to play music from their iPod/iPhone. For every app, you can simply double tap the Home button to play your music. The iPod/iPhone would hear it coming out of the speaker and visualize it. Only problem is that the speakers aren't the best quality but you could plug if into external speakers or the car stereo.

Outstanding!. This is a very intuitive designed app. It picks up sound and music with ease and without any delay, you get to choose what settings you want, you can access songs and make playlists from your music library. Well exceeds my expectations. This is a must download!

Please Fix this ever so slightly. Again I understand you cant interface with the itunes library but why does the ap cease the music when playing... this has the potential of being an amazing product but needs allow for it to use and play on the iphone speakers.... The visualizations are great and for someone like myself who uses his iphone in his car for mp3s well this would be an awesome application... Again downside is that to get it to work I have to play a CD to make it look cool :( over all its a great step to a great new line of apps... Definately worth the download but please update soon!

Need to have microphone. This is just like other "visualizer" it only supports microphone input. When trying to use visualizer with music from iPod, you need to play your music and place a microphone near it to have a valid visualization, otherwise it just displays random graphics. Please do NOT advertise it as the only visualizer that works with iPod library.

Please update your app for iOS 11. Would you consider updating your app to work in iOS 11 and 64 bit. Your app no longer works on the current version of iOS and lots of people including myself love this app. I think it would look fantastic on the screen of the iPhone X. Really miss it a lot. Maybe even do a premium paid version of the app if need be. I’ve kept the icon on my iPhone even though it no longer works. Hope you would consider bringing it back where I pretty sure it would downloaded the minute notice it’s back. Yep ! Audiogasm has not been forgotten.

Useless.. The visualizer works by sampling audio through the microphone -- which means you have to play the music through speakers, making it completely impossible for use on the go. Besides that it seems fine I guess.

Seriously. They updated it and I think it's f4king amazing. A tip for future users just tap apple/ home button twice and you should be able to listen to ur music!!!

Video out to TV or Projector. I've been waiting / looking for something like this for a live band for a long time . It's cool to watch on the IPad or phone but to stream it to a projector or big screen tv , now that's entertainment . Great idea but needs to go to the next level to make it awesome !

Lacking. It's a nice app and it works smoothly as it should. However, there are some features it will need to add in order to earn a better star rating. At the moment, the app can only 'visualize' music or sounds from an external source. Understandably, due to Apple's limitations, the app can't access the music library on the iPhone/iTouch, but it could at least allow the music to continue while the app is running.

Works great!. I tried it out and the app works very well. I played my music through this app just fine. I like that you can change the sensitivity. Very responsive. Swiping the screen to take a screen saver shot is a nice addition. Nice app!

Love and hate. The graphics can be pixelated and lame but they draw you in and trip u out. But that's only if u play your music while using it. Just press play once the program pauses it if you can figure out what I mean. <-- || --> If u guys fix the glich and make it so my music can't be played at the same time then your program will be worthless.

Review. Haven't used it for too long, but can already tell it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was looking for a music visualizer like "GForce" by Soundspectrum for computers, which is drop dead amazing btw. This visualizer like all others for the iPad/iPhone/iTouch that I can find uses the microphone on the device to try and visualize the music. In my opinion this is a very poor way of going about this. It doesn't have the same feeling while watching it as a true music visualizer. When you have a good visualizer, you get a feeling that you are not only hearing your music, you are seeing it. You are seeing the beats, the bass, the treble, and everything else happen as you hear it. This app... Fails to do that. But, it still does make a good show to watch. It just doesn't give that "blending of the senses" that I get out of GForce.

Feature request. I would love controls that would allow me to not use some visualizations, like the music notes. Alternatively you could let the app "learn" which ones not to use by marking them when shaken.

Come on Apple, let the mic and iPod work together!. Ooohhh baby… it’s Audiogasm! Great name for an app, and the app itself isn’t too bad either. Audiogasm is a visualization thingy just like you’ll find in most desktop media players. It reacts to sounds picked up by the iPhone’s mic and creates all kinds of crazy animated patterns in response. Shake the iPhone to change the animation and swipe a finger across the screen to take a screenshot of it. It’s a pretty cool app that we all knew someone would create eventually… in fact, there are a few different visualizers available in the iTunes App Store right now. Unfortunately they all share one major shortcoming that the developers don’t have any control over: they can’t play visualizations while the iPod is running! Yeah that blows. Blame it on the device, blame it on Apple, but you really can’t blame TMSOFT. They want the app to be able to rock with the iPod but it’s just not technically possible, and they say this right upfront in their app description. Audiogasm is currently “free for a limited time!” so if you like zoning out to psychedelic patterns while your non-iPod music is blaring, go get it. The visualizations are pretty cool and very responsive so even the most discerning stoner should be able to enjoy it.

Installed 1/8/09. I just installed this app and am slightly dissapointed. The disclaimer at the bottom if the app store description is misleading. I have numerous other apps that allow the iPod music to play while an application is running. The reason I give this two stars is because that disclaimer lies to you. As far as the app goes it is very nice and would reccomend to others after the designers allow it to play iPod in the background.

Awesome!. I love this app and use it when I listen to music. *For people who have trouble using it with music, start the music AFTER you launch Audiogasm*. I use it with my iPod headphones with remote an mic for the 2nd gen touch. The only thing I wish they had was a way to make it stay as one color. Fortunatly for me, I got this app the first day it came out (which happened to be free) and it did not work with the ipod touch. I then re-downloaded it and what a difference a couple of updates make Great job TMSOFT I would deffinatly recommend this to anyones enjoyment

Critical Flaw. You can't play music from your iPhone while running this app. I wanted to play around with this while using my headphones, but it turns my music off when I open the app. I was going to hold one headphone up to the speaker and listen on the other one. Aside from that the app is alright. It's nothing spectacular though. Btw, if you have an iPod Touch, STOP REVIEWING THIS APP. It obviously isn't meant for you since you have no microphone, so quit crying.

Audiogasmic!. Love the new features! When I have guests over I like to visualize music and the new TV out mode and docking station support is perfect for that! I also greatly appreciate the ability to customize which effects are used! great work!

Great App, Needs Direct Music Reading. This app is awesome, but its not so awesome if your microphone is covered by a case, or if your using this in public or noisy areas, and I expected this app to work directly with stored sound files from your iTunes library, but sadly it will only play and hear the song through the Microphone and absorb the background noise. If this app would Directly use an audio file instead of the microphone, it would be 5-stars.

Pretty cool. Great that it is a universal app. Liked the visualizations, but wished there was a bit of control over them, like how quickly they morph. Sometimes I see one I really like, but then it is gone in two seconds. Overall, a nice addition for your music.

Works fine. Complainers don't read.. This app does everything it said it would. It works fine and uses the microphone which is different than other apps. Because of this it is used differently than all the other visualizers. I use it at gigs behind my band if there is a tv behind us using the av cable and is amazing. Great work. cool. well first off the name is ridiculous... but the viaualizations are very cool. apparently other apps allow the music to play while the app is open, however I haven't found one with this functionality so whatever. my main suggestion is that there should be a control so you could pick which visualizer to use... the randomization is cool but some visualizations are better than others.

What is it with Apple... a bit TOO paranoid?!?. This is a very nice app, which will never be used as it should be...I have other apps like it, and they also cannot be used as they should be; something about some stupid restriction, or something?!? C'mon Apple... you guys let these nice graphics apps go to waste for those of us that KNOW our own iTunes libraries were meant to be played along to those cool visuals... Why? ...I don't know... at least one of those Windows users arguments seems to be holding water, I hate to say it... I will have to think twice about converting fully to the Church of Mac... You guys have some dumb little issues, which I don't understand... Too bad.

Pretty cool. Thanks for the free intro.. I like it. I think it could be a lot better if the user could control what it shifts to. Download the app, Spawn Illuminati, and you might get some ideas. And adding more effects (maybe with options to turn them all on or off) would be great too! Thanks.

How Disappointing! Buyer Beware!. Don’t believe the hype. I decided to buy this app because they updated it to “visualize music in your iPod library!” This is what I’ve been waiting for. Unfortunately it still only works through the microphone. That’s right, music plays through the internal speaker (and headphones at the same time) and you have to keep the mic on top of the screen (or very close) for it to work. Removing and replacing the headphones makes it play through the headphones only, but it just goes back to demo mode. There are two parties at fault here: Apple for not allowing 3’rd parties to access music and the developers for knowingly misrepresenting their product. Buyer Beware. One of my major complains about the touch is the lack of a visualizer, but if I could return this junk, I would. On the bright side, the visuals are great and it runs smoothly. Put it next to your home stereo and check out awesome visuals. Just don't expect to bring them with you.

You CAN use your own music. This is how you do it, start playing your music before you open the app, open the app and right AS it is opening, double tap the home button so that the iPod control window pops up. When the music stops, just press play and close the window. Voilà! HOWEVER... you will not be able to change the song, double tapping the home button closed the app an stops the music. At least, that happened to me

DECEPTIVE! I WANT A REFUND. I listen to my iPad at work with headphones and wanted a visualizer like the iTunes desktop app has. This does not do that at all. Visualizations are based on whatever the app "hears" through the microphone. That is why the app is non-functional as an iTunes visualizer if you are in a situation in which you can't play the music through the iPad / iPhone speaker. This is the first review I have written after buying about 50+ apps. If it were more than .99 I'd complain to apple for a refund, but it's just not worth the effort.

Dig it!. Awesome app! Highly recommended. Definitely worth the buck plus more for the features! One thing I have been having an issue with: the app fails to allow the iPad output route to Bluetooth devices when the app is running. Probably a simple fix. Would love to have this feature. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying the visualizer hard-wired to my speaker setup!

Just gets better and better. For being the only music visualizer on the ipod its great to see that it continues to get updates. The developer could easily just sit on this because its unique, but no. Like all of the other apps TMSoft makes, this gets updates regularly. The visuals are great and are actually responsive to the music, not just some video playing on top of your music. I've taken this to a couple of parties now and people always love to watch this thing. I couldn't recommend this any higher if you enjoy any kind of visualization on your computer. Also the new version runs natively on the ipad, it's great

Visualize it like it's 1995.. This is exactly what it advertises. A visualizer app like you'd have with Windows Media Player. I honestly never had much use for visualizations, but this might be a nice screensaver-of-sorts if you have music playing on your device while you are doing something else.

Good one. More effects pls!. It is free. Come on ppl. Sometime it is not that the developers don't want to support some features. There are things that are limited by Apple or your hardware. Such like your iPod touch has no microphone. So don't make stupid requests that are not realistic. I would rate this music visualization software 3 stars because there are not enough visualization styles but I am sure that they will add more so I give it 5 stars to counter stupid comments. The exisiting effects are pretty cool even when connected to a video out.

Best visualizer app. May remind u of windows media player but is very responsive and varied. For the next update, user controls! Like choosing an effect u want 'locked', changing the colors, and the speed too! This is a very good app, with updates would be a great app. The price is right.

Even better than v1!. I got this when it was still 2d and i thought it was great now its 3d and even better! Although the framerate is lower because the iphone doesnt have any real 3d power its still great! I really like this app....I listen to music with it...itd be cool if they added different things such as on the PSP's visulizer, like a spiraling tunnel, laser dealy thing across the screen, or little lights swimming all over the screen....u know, just different things (if u dont know what im talking about, try using someone's PSP in MUSIC on the mem stick....its pretty cool!!!

Love the app but..... Can you please allow adding playlists rather than individual songs? When you have lots and lots of songs it takes forever to add them. I also had trouble keeping the song after i closed the app. If this is the case, please fix this as well.

meh... about as good as most. my problem with most of these "visual from audio" things is that they just don't do much. Sure the colors change when the volume goes up and the swirling lines get a little more squiggly... but that doesn't really seem like much, does it? With the technology today I'd expect to see something more interesting. Beat driven patterns, which could easily be set up by listening for loud points, mapping them out and driving the visual from there. Simple timing programs. But perhaps I've said too much... Yes, perhaps my own app... (bwa ha ha)

Great. It works really well. Maybe some new visuals would be nice but over all a pretty good app. It can run a little slow but you are play music and running a visualizer at the same time so it's expected.

Wonderfull app!!. Thank you for bringing back the flash!! This app has always been on my first page!! I got this app while it was free and loved it!! Now with the update it's so much better!! I would highly recomnd this app!! Please bring back the flash when you take a picture!!

Nice improvements. I bought this when it was free and suckish. i'm glad i did now because it got improved a TON! so cool now...eccept it still has to have music NOT coming from your ipod which is also very suckish. fix that and i'd buy it if i didn't already have it. :D

Finally someone who got it right!. This is what I've been looking for. Something like the visualizer from iTunes but it still has it's own feel. I can't wait to see more patterns come out with the later updates. Great app!

Olive. It's funny how many of you are arguing about playing it with iPhone's iPod, I play them together everytime I use audiogasm, take a minute to scroll through these reviews, someone posted directions how to do it, and it works!!!! please add more graphics, it's very cool, but could be better, this is a pay app and should be progressive, but love it!

Could be better on the iPad. Lost 1 star for the fact that you can only use the visualizer on the iPad with the built-in speakers. This would be so much better if you could use it with headphones. Lost another star for the visualizer itself. It repeats similar patterns to often. It needs to have more variety. After about 3 minutes it all begins to look the same. Having said that, it's not a bad deal for a buck.

👽 it's a paid app..... Where are the upgrades?. I'm finding that the apps that I download that people update from time to time tend to be the more better ones out there. The developers that listen to the feedback are the apps that I want to download more than the ones that don't listen any feedback. This app itself is great it does everything it says but I think that they can add some something to it.... And honestly I don't know what. The thing is,is that they're the developers they should be thinking of that. I do know that I don't want to have a giant screen saver, that's what I paid with this app. I am not going to knock it..... But, this is an app that I shouldn't have paid for.... ADD SOMETHING, UPGRADE IT..... ✨

Come on!. I think the visuals are stunning. However, couldn't ipod be launched and music played before this app is launched so that the audio input from the music being played would affect the spectrum instead of needin input from the mic? Many other apps have support for iPod playback while running. Not only all of the native apps but many app store apps as well. The app itself shouldn't have to launch iPod as the description points out as not being permitted by apple. Otherwise a cool app for what it is.

These kinds of apps should sync with music. BAD

Great app!!!. I don't know why everyone is giving it such low ratings. Apple won't share it's music library with their apps, so there only choose is through the microphone. And by far, this app does the best at visualizing music. It's good If you want a visualizer for your stero or somthing.

Um.. This is a great trick!!. This app has some kind of leak.... Which actually causes it to multitask.. Which I have NO issues with.. If i start a song playing, I can then switch to any other app, AND THE MUSIC KEEPS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND!! I wish apps like Pandora did this.

It's Not Really Very Good. But it may be the best that can be done with the relatively small capability of the iPhone. Though the fact that small game computers of years past did a better job, brings that into question. Another possible problem could be Apple's excessive desire to control everything their way. I have noticed many other apps with sound control lack of ability. Sort of like no one makes an EQ that will work with everything. They work with Apple's iTunes, buy no other sound app. Another thing that bothers me is that there are no sharp lines such as in the old app G-Force, which is the best app of this type I have ever seen, and it worked on the old Macs, with less power than the iPhone.
