Second only to the Holy Bible. I just found this amazing app a couple of days ago. I'm reading "The Master Key System" and lovin' it...can't wait to read all the books listed and any more that get added. I'm a "Frugalista" so believe me when I say this app is a BARGAIN. The only 2 things that I can think of to improve it would be: (1) have the light stay on the entire time I'm reading; and (2) the copy and paste option. I've read that in many reviews and I agree that it would be a nice convenience. Keep the books coming, guys!! Update: thanks so much for keeping the light on. It's nice not to have to tap the screen all the time.

My Favorite Library. Since it's on my iPhone it's with me everywhere and with the audio-read option it makes it so easy to read from these classics anywhere and anyway I want to. Great stuff!

First app I've actually bothered to review. I've never before taken the time to actually review an app...so take this as your sign to just buy this one. Great design, great price, and the actual information within these books is life-changing. Seriously. Success leaves clues--don't reinvent the wheel, simply read what others have done and DO IT. Updated review for new version: This app is now better than ever. This is one of my most-used apps on both my iPhone and iPad.

Favorites. Many of my favorite and "go to" books in one very convenient app. Hours of inspirational reading or listening.

Get, Read, Follow and most importantly do. Great app for anyone seeking new life insights from time tested sages. Many of these out of print classics contain wonderful guidance from another day. You can feel the impact they had at their time leading to today’s modern thought.

 Great app!!!. It can use more books, but in all fairness, the app was free (when I downloaded it) and even as a paid app, it is very inexpensive. The books, though some being perhaps a bit outdated, can be a quite pricey at the book store. Others are shelved in dark used books stores collecting dust or shoved in torn up cardboard boxes at yard sales hidden under piles of vinyl record albums. Regardless, I am reading one book that I wanted to purchase years ago. Unfortunately it wasn't in the necessities column of my budget list at the time. This is a good app...and gets even better as more books are added to the library.

Great App. I often refer people to this app because it has so much fabulous content. I've had it over two years and am still working my way through it. Highly recommended.

Great Material, problem when Ordering Upgrade. I love the works contained in this app. I've heard of many of the speakers and love reading and learning from them. One of the best features is discovering new people who I never heard of before and who wrote outstanding material. I have had a regular challenge and would love to find a way to resolve it. I bought the upgraded version to have audio. It worked for a while and then stopped. I would love to hear the audio while I read --- increases the learning and comprehension. However, whatever I try, it doesn't work and I can't get it to play. I'd be willing to pay for support just to get that feature working again that I paid for! If you're thinking of getting this product, and want to better yourself, get it! You'll revisit these wonderful minds over and over to learn more. I wish you much continued success on your journey. A Priceless Gem!. I am so glad I decided to get this. I have bought all of the add-ons, except for the voice/reading function. This collection, if read and applied, could change the lives of those who would heed all of the sound wisdom contained within. I am on the path to self-discovery and personal success, and I know that this collection is an invaluable tool on my path. Don't let the price deter you, for the little you pay for this treasure trove, it will pay you dividends many times over. Granted, you could assemble these books yourself, but how much would that cost you in time and money? I can't tell you how many games and silly apps i have bought, only to later regret their purchase. But each time I read from a book in this self-help collection, I know that I have not wasted my money. Do yourself a favor and get this whole collection; you won't regret it.

Wisdom is only valuable if you use it.. Use it for inspiration, re-inspiration or to discover those time tested gems you've always heard were there but never made the time to read. This puts a lot at your fingertips (pun intended)... As a public speaker and road warrior, I often seek inspiration and reminders from Dale's classic, this just makes it easier. Just because you may know what you should be doing if you are like most people you forget from time to time this is an excellent reminder. Hey, you can't just play angry birds all the time ;-)

Very inspirational reading - may need a fix though.... Only problem with the app I have is on my 3Gs. The "book" looses position when switching between viewing modes. If I'm reading in landscape and switch to portrait I find myself in a different place on the page several paragraphs from where I was. Would be nice if this was fixed somehow by knowing what sentence was at the top of either screen. Also please add the rest of Florence Shinn's works, there weren't many and they are all now in the PD. Should be an easy addition since it's freely available all over the net. What an insightful woman - very far ahead of her time! Look forward to more additions Alexandru great job!!

Extremely Inspiring. Although the style and language of these books is dated, the content IS truly timeless. The cost of these books individually would be very expensive. Great for reading on the train, waiting in line, etc.

An Absolute Treasure. I'm astounded at the quality and breadth of the books presented here. Without a doubt this is the best money I've ever spent. The value given from the knowledge and wisdom herein is priceless. The books are timeless in their truths and any persons desiring to better themselves and the world could do no better than to start here. The foundation laid by these books will last a lifetime. The extra collections are gifts at their nominal prices. I will be purchasing the entire collection as a gift to each of my children. I honestly am amazed and grateful at coming upon this app/collection. I'm grateful to the original authors and to whomever created this collection - thank you. My task is to now take it all to heart and live it. I CAN'T WAIT.

Self-deserving!!. Many great reads. Wisdom at your fingertips.

Drab and hard to navigate. I have no idea what these reviewers are talking about. I should have paid more attention to the title; Self Help CLASSICS and nothing but. I dislike the overall interface with the black background and white lettering. It seems you can change this in the settings while inside a book, but why is it set to default? The lettering on the book selection page is so small. Inside a book you can increase the font size, but you cannot change the font. Navigation is not intuitive nor is the content organized in any special way outside of the books themselves. These books date back pretty far, so I doubt that I'll use them too much when there are so many great new theories and ideas. If you've always wanted to have these books, this is certainly an efficient way to obtain them all at once. However, they are also free from most ebook retailers.

Wonderful. I have almost all the series - I have had it for several years- wonderfully inspiring- great wisdom- wish they would add more books !

Great app. Great collection of books, audio book works amazing

Wealth Starts In The Mind. A person must feed the mind, the mind then feeds action, and together the mind and actions feed the creation of wealth. These collections provide all the mind food needed to become wealthy in every way. They have certainly worked for me, beyond my dreams over the past 24 years. Read my first one at 23. Have a great wife, kids, beautiful home, three highly successful businesses, very high income, and a generally balanced life. You might figure it out on your own, but why not learn from others. It's faster, easier, and less painful. It doesn't take being the smartest, or best, but it does take dedication and know how. The know how is here! Now I have all of my classics in the palm of my hand. The question is not the cost of an item, but the cost of passing it by. Don't pass it by. The knowledge in these classics is worth literally hundreds of thousands and frankly millions, if utilized! What else can I say?

All Under One Roof. Wow, there is a lot to like here. This is an excellent resource to have handy for those who want to improve their lot in life. A lot of the "newer" stuff we read today got their ideas drawn from these very classics that you can get right here, and consequently know where the original thought came from. Be sure to read the "Father of Thought" James Allen....great, great job of giving more value than a person pays to get it. Very nicely done! And this latest update just added a couple more classics!

Very cool. This app is awesome - easy access to several of my favorite books.

You had me with Seneca!. I bought this app especially because it had Seneca's 120+ letters, which are excellent examples of applied Stoic philosophy and how to live a life without fear (whether or not he pulled it off himself). The other books are also great selections of mostly early 20th century (public domain) self-help books. The in-page links to footnotes (and back up to the original line) are also a great touch! I look forward to many awesome updates. Thanks for the good work!

Never thought this would be possible in my generation. Great app. I never thought this would be possible in my generation. I read a lot if sci-fi and never occur to me or any sci-fi writer I read, that in 2 011 I would be reading all my favorite self help book on a little shirt pocket device. No way Jose. And yet, here it is. Congrats Apple!! Congrats dev team for this App. Job very well done. Only one question: how can I make the letters bigger on the iPhone? I tried the usual gestures to no avail. If no solution , is ok. It is a great reason to buy an iPad and read the books there.

What a Treasure of An App!. Absolutely Wow! :)

Govenors speech. This app is amazing in the second week of may I am speaking to the govenor of Florida on the current economic situation. I am also speaking at the rotary club this Thursday because I was invited as a future rotarian and I am only 15. Just the public speaking section of this book is amazing and I like how they incorporate good wholesome(dare I say it) Christian values into the books. I will definetely use this app for a long time. thank you very much for this application and I hope to see more like it in the future. Keep up the good work.

Greatest app in my collection. When I came across this app I really didn't have high expectation, but once I started reading the books within it. I was surprised and amazed. The info contained in theses books are priceless. This app quickly became my favorite app. Well worth it. I recommend this app to anyone who is looking to Improve on there current life situation. But you must put into action what you read in these books. Just reading them like a novel will get you nowhere. The only thing that would make this app better than it already is, is an option for audio on all the titles. So you can listen to them while at work, jogging, driving etc.. More titles would be awesome too. Otherwise it's a great app.

References. I haven't gotten to read much of the first book but what I have read is very profound and I just want to copy and paste every paragraph to my boyfriend. But I don't, cuz that's time consuming and he doesn't love this stuff like I do. Also, I decided on the 5 stars because I didn't want to ruin its perfect 5 stars it already has... AND because I was reading some other books by familiar and awesome teachers and at least 3 of these books were referenced after very intelligent quotes. So I rated before reading much because the app asked me to and I thought it deserved it. I rarely take the time to rate things, but whoever was kind enough to put this together and allow us to access this info so cheaply deserves a round of applause. :-)

Unacceptable description write up from App designer. I loved this app. The books in it are great and have help me change my life in amazing ways. Then today I open up the app and there is a write up from the designer saying - "I don't believe there has ever been a developer that bends himself over to the requests of his users more than I - probably another reason why I fail to be successful, despite my hard work. It's the way that I am - a sucker for pleasing unknown others. Just saying. Now all you iOS 5 users, please do something about those angry 1-star reviews - change them for the better." Are you kidding me. Do you even read some of the books in the app. That comment makes me want to no longer support anything you develop. Take accountability as to why you are not successful, stop blaming others, especially myself and other fellow consumers of yours ("the unknown others") and do something about it. You have created a great app, you should try using it too. I will not rate higher than 1 star until that write up is removed. Your thoughts and words become your life which I have learned from your app. I wish you the best in your ventures.

As you thinketh!. Anyone interested in being advised by all the great thinkers of out time needs this. 15 minutes a day going through these classics will change your life. Start you master mind group now! Great idea guys, great ap. Would be terrific if I could take notes and highlight like the kindle allows you to do. I almost decided to buys these books because of that, because these books require study and you want to reflect and take notes.

A Must Get - Though 2 Minor Issues. Incredible content. Interesting that today's "New Thought" movement (some naysayers refer to with a snicker as "New Age" or that "Secret" stuff), was actually published 100 years ago or more, and with such incredibly sophisticted, extremely impressive scientific, psychological, and spiritual detail! It's somewhat surprising that (the 1st three books I've gotten through: "Science of Getting Rich", "Think and Grow Rich", and "The Master Key...") seem as though they could have been written today (with a few minor outdated historical references). Any person who wants more from life MUST get this app. I also treated myself to the audio versions of my favorite ones (from itunes) to help the profound yet simple ideas sink (sync) in. Great updates - keep em coming. Two minor problems that could prove frustrating if not fixed. 1) With a recent update, I lost all my bookmarks. Luckily I only used bkmarks on a single book. And 2) With the last update (that added that killer search window), I can no longer select, cut and paste. The options no longer come up. Please fix or let me know if I should re-download. Thanks.

Must have apps during Covid-19. This app is underrated this is one of the best apps for people who believe in self education. This is about class, knowledge and wisdom.

Change your life, in your pocket. You could think of it as a throwaway app, something to play with to kill a little time. But you could also pay serious attention to the content and be profoundly changed by what you read. If you step back for a minute, you might see you're reading about a historical view of human potential using one of the modern world's greatest achievements. It's not just an app. One star missing for not opening up to the same page I left off (sometimes I don't have time to bookmark a page bride I close it). But that's pretty insignificant compared to the value of the content. Thank you!

NEEDED MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS. No page numbers. Please Fix bookmarks it doesn't work. Also include date of every book. At least half are missing date when written. The index button to get back to mainpage hardly works and you have to pound on it like ten times to get you back. I recommend you copy the Easy User Friendly format of EGW app. Theirs almost 20 books plus Old and New testament. You can highlight and save texts, and search for key words. That apps on top of it and it's FREE. Great books but very difficult to navigate thru especially getting back to index. You have to press the back key like six or seven times to go back and switch books. Also main page is painfully small to see photos and book descriptions. Please increase FONT SIZE AND PHOTOS by removing Self Help Classics side bar. Thanxs

Fantastic!!. These books are well worth reading and would cost a couple of hundred to buy in paperback. It's sooo easy to read them anywhere, especially on overcrowded public transport. For $1.19, I doubt you'd want your money back.

Great Collection. Despite these books being in the public domain this app brings them together in a well-presented and easy to access format. It is the nature of the collection, however, that brings the most value to the app. These works are all valuable tools for anyone seeking to improve their circumstances. From Napoleon Hill to Benjamin Franklin there is a wealth of useful and well-written material for the seeker. Well worth the price!!

I think this is one of the best apps I have downloaded so far, it is worth the buy, there is an amazing wealth of knowledge within this app, cannot believe I didn't find it sooner, it's fantastic, a great amount of self help books to chill out and read thank you to the developers of this app.

Convenient. Love it. It has all the books on becoming successful. Highly recommend you to buy it. For $1.19 so worth it. You can read it on the go and it's so convenient and has bookmarks too.

A good collection of classics. Good to have them all here. Of course, the books are all in the public domain and could be had from Gutenberg but it's good to have them wrapped up in a nice reader like this.

Information Overload. This app is one of the best book apps I have ever read, great job!!!!!!

Why?. They've decided not to include chapter 5 of Melvin Powers' "A practical guide to self-hypnosis" and I was curious about it. So I look it up on the intarweb and found the book online, available to read for free! The chapter in question is titled "How to arouse yourself from the self-hypnotic state" but it is not about what the religious censors behind this application might shamefully think.

The best app on my phone!. I can't express how important this app has been for me. It has changed my life, my relationships and my career. I'm now out of debt, happily engaged with the most wonderful girl in the world, have a great job that I truly love going to, and am balanced and in tune with the universe. I know my purpose and the way to get to my goals. All of this thanks to a 0.99 app that I've downloaded a bit over 1 year ago. Trust me, this is lifechanging!

Every day!. Lov this app - I read a few pages every day - in the waiting room, at lunch, waiting in line for coffee etc. I've been reading these classics for years and attribute much of my success to the wisdom in these books. Reading some pages in a daily basis reminds me to stay focused and stear my "thoughts" in the right direction. Thoughts become things!!!

So much information for so little a price!. I'm not sure if I paid $.99 for this or if it was free. Either way it is absolutely amazing! What's even more amazing is that the expertise discussed in these books is still pertinent today. Napoleon Hill's think and grow Rich is absolutely out of this world. Awesome job bringing all these books together for amazingly low price!

Wonderful, but.... This is an exceptional app because of its content. 4 stars because a solid app with wonderful motivational books is all I want. Some of the interface seen when selecting books to read seems a bit outdated, but the reading UI is very clean and well made. I agree with previous reviews about the childish immature message from the app designer in the updates tab, but I'm not too bothered because it is easy enough to ignore...

I like it. This app is really informative and mind blowing. The books are filled with wisdom and knowledge that will help you change your mindset and life. The only thing I don't like is I can't directly go back to where I left off reading but you have to search through all your bookmarks. Over all it is an excellent collection of self help mastery!

So inspiring. Love this app sooooooo useful and interesting ...I could just jump out of my skin in excitement from all the amazing information these books contain...to have such a huge selection in one app, you'd be a fool not to own it and read several of the books over and over...hard to choose a favorite but I thoroughly enjoyed Think and Grow Rich ($8.99 at Barnes and Noble) The Maser Key System and The Game of Life and How to Play It. Wonderful Little App. Not every title will suit every reader, but the bookshelf offers wonderful opportunities to affirm and enjoy some classics of self actualization literature. Here's hoping that more titles will be added in the future. Try reading a few pages from one of these books rather than playing a game next time you're waiting for the bus!

Luv it!!. Scrolling is awesome cause I didn't like some other apps page turning "effect", It is not a real book people, scrolling is way better to read here and this app has it. *review update* Need to accept new terms and conditions which I didn't find out till reinstalling the app at the very end. You don't have to buy again. My problem was; After updating the app it will not open anymore. I get splash screen then crash. Tried iphone reset and syncing which did not work. Fix: Accept new terms and conditions by reinstalling app or possibly in Itunes then syncing.

One of my favorite apps!. This application has kept me busy with the intriguing titles it hosts. I love self help books and to have them all collected in one place has given me simplified access to one of my favorite pasttimes. I also enjoy the fact that it is updated and added to with a regularity that I haven't been able to keep up with, much to my unbridled pleasure. Worthmuch more than the nominal fee I paid. Keep em' coming!

I love love love this app. It is an amazing and wonderful app. It's like having a life coach in your hands. It is the most used app and the fact that it is constantly improved is a plus. Love it!. One thing that is a little frustrating is that I lose all my bookmarks and quotes when there's an update it would be great if this could be fixed. Great Classics that Everyone should utilize. These collections of timeless true knowledge are nothing less than fabulous! Being a small business owner... Need option to hide Next/Previous Chapter Arrows. This App is a great value! To the developer, I have one request. PLEASE provide an option to hide the "Next/Previous Chapter" arrows. When reading text, these arrows are always shown on the top left and top right hand sides of the screen. These arrows are very distracting to me and take away from my enjoyment in reading the books!

A good app to have for such a little price. I just wanted some uplifting readings on my Phone for times when I'm having to wait for something. this little app more than covers those situations. It makes the iPhone into a beautiful e-reader with the benefits of having the text, brightness etc., customizable and the books already downloaded and ready.

The description is unacceptable. Change from within if you want change from without, read the books you have here, you can't change a consumer by writing that, be happy you have consumers. Life's to short to be upset over the description and it's not worth it, To keep going. I love the books the creator of the app should be happier he has consumers is all. Great Resource!. I love this app. I read from it all the time. I have been using the Secret and the Law of Attraction, but when I read the Master Key something finally clicked and I finally began manifesting. Read these books and get the Universal Mind Meditation 2 from Kelly Howell. In less than two weeks you will feel a great change from the inside out!

A Library of Self Help Classics. A great library of some of the best new thought classics ever written. These are the books that started today's positive thinking movement, all in one place. This even includes timeless wisdom from ancient Rome and China. The laws that explain the relationship between Mind and Reality are not new. This collection is a must have for any serious student of Timeless Knowledge and Universal Truths.

The most valuable app I have!. The wisdom gathered in this application is priceless. On top of that, they keep adding new classic self help books. Those books are not the quick fixed that we are used to in our times of people looking for effortless miracles. Those are books based on true and proved principles. It's all about character, not personality. Excelente!

Gold mine. LOVE THIS APP! The only things I would change is. Please bring back cut and paste. The other is the page buttons in the corners. Every now and then as I manually scroll down the page, I'll accidently hit the page button and end up in the next chapter. Maybe put all of the navigation buttons in one place. Instead of in all four corners of the screen.

All theses works should be required reading!. No one should be allowed to graduate the 8th grade without reading these books and being graded on their ability to articulate their teachings. It's wonderful to be able to have these books in my iPhone, so that whenever I have some down time, I can exercise my mind.

Since there are other sellers who only provide one of these titles at a higher price, and this collection includes so much for so little, I do not understand why anyone would make this less than a 5 star application. Solid knowledge. This app has several self help books that transcends time. The books cover a variety of subjects with a wealth of wisdom. It's a nice perk that they keep adding more books from time to time. The format, look, and feel of the app is easy on the eyes when reading. Looking forward to new additions.

The most powerful group of books!!. Wow what an amazing group of books really a nice job on the app, the one thing that I would like to see is the ability to highlight! This a feature that is imperative when studying books, but I like The feature of changing the background from white to black and the feature of auto scrolling very handy not to crazy about the read feature either it sounds like it is from the 1980's. But the books really do rock.

Diamond in the ruff. I've paid ten dollars for 'Think and Grow Rich' paper back, fifteen for the audio book, and it costs fifteen dollars for the iBook version on iTunes. This app comes with not only 'Think and Grow Rich,' but SO MUCH MORE. There's honestly no better app in the iTunes Store PERIOD based on the value of what all these self-help books can do for you. Just with this app, and all these books, could be in the hands every human being. One day.

Better Yourself!!!. This app is great, there are constant updates for different books for FREE! I use this app all the time when I have no internet connection. This app will make you smart, rich, happy, self-impowered, and all around a better person. Get this app! It would be AMAZING if "The power of your subconcious mind" was included or was added. I would also recommend the "The power of now" by Eckhart Tolle, and The Bible(just started reading it, OMG it's powerful).

Wonderful treasure. Great books and wonderful interface. I had it on the iPhone and it is even better on the iPad. There is something about reading on a scrolling screen that makes it easier for me to read as apposed to scanning with my eyes across pages. I find myself reading faster and more.

Great reading!. This is a very well done app with great reading. I especially recommend "The Master Key System" and the selections by Florence Scovill Shinn. These are gold mines! The app interface is very clean and functional which makes reading a pleasure. Highly recommended! Update: still love it but suddenly the bookmark function doesn't seem to work. Have deleted it from iPad and re downloaded but it still doesn't work.

iPad. This is an amazing app, for the price you will find no better. I can read these right from my iPad and phone without the cumbersome 12 book load. If your into the book or movie "the secret" you should totally read these books.

ThIs knowledge changed my life.. I can't believe how little I knew before I read these books. The knowledge they contain is priceless, it is not taught school or in any college class that I know of. And if it is I bet it is only at the best of the best: Harvard, Yale Etc. We one with glorious and assume universe. Because we are one with the universe we can use are will to make our thoughts come about. This is what I learned in reading only two books, and it changed my life. Ps. Self Help Classics. This is a really great app! Great books - smooth intuitive interface. Navigation through the books and chapters is easy & streight-forward. Use the auto scroll function or swipe your fingers across the screen to page forward or back. I have not noticed a single anomoly. I really like this app and would recommend it to anyone!

Great books. The most recent update is not even launching on my iPhone. But I am sure the publishers will get this straight soon--at least I hope. I've gotten way more than $1.99 out of this if it never gets fixed, but these publishers frequently update, so I expect it will be fixed.

Best 99 Cents I Ever Spent. I've had this app for several years now and don't know why I've waited until now to write a review. I am always reading or re-reading the many books included in this app. This is a collection of some of the greatest works from pioneers in "The Law of Attraction" mindset way before it was labeled that way and is a must have for anyone who wants to make a positive change in their life.

Invaluable App. Some of the greatest success literature ever written available whenever and wherever I have my device. The scrolling text function is very handy when hands are occupied. Open & read when you have a few minutes- you will become a more valuable person!

Such a bargain!. This is awesome. Whenever I have a few moments I can read some of the best words ever written... helps me stay aware and practice, which has made the results particularly rapid (a minor miracle for this one time skeptic and pessimist). If this kind of stuff is your bag, get this app... Way cheaper and way lighter than all the books.

Love the books. The books in this app are great. I am currently reading the autobiography of Andrew Carnegie and have been enjoying it very much. The app works great; however, I would suggest keeping the highlights separate from the bookmarks. I put a bookmark to keep my place and highlight thing in the book I like. It would also be nice to be able to put note with my highlighted sections.

Awesome self help books. This is a huge collection of self help books simillar to the Secret. Includes many Law of Attraction books to keep you busy for months. I hate to read and wish this collection was on audio books as well. I would listen to them before I sleep. For now I just read slow and fall a sleep with my iPhone on my chest. You won't be disappointed and the price is so cheap for all these books.

Love this app. I have other book apps and this one is the easiest to use. You can adjust font size, make it for nighttime reading, lock in portrait or landscape. You can choose to autoscroll, or manual scroll, or flip the whole page at once. I think it is very easy to use. Plus all the great books you offer! Thank you for this app!
