Awesome. As a CT Surgery ICU RN I use this app frequently for reference. Great to use to brush up on ECG interpretation skills anytime. Very thorough and jam-packed with quality information!

Very easy to use, excellent app. This is an excellent app, with a great layout and very high useability, the best of the ECG offerings. The samples are very sharp, and the text is very well worded.

Amazing app. Downloaded this app a couple weeks ago. I have used it extensively and I have to say it is an amazing app. The design is great. The useability is perfect. It looks beautiful. One of the best apps i've ever downloaded. Nice work.

Love the EKG review. Well worth the price. I used this program to both learn and teach others the basics of EKG's. While going through PA school I needed an quick guide, so I downloaded this app. Then I kept after finishing to teach students how to learn the basics in this program... It's worth the money!!!

Best ECG app. Not as pretty nor as user-friendly as instant ECG, but much more comprehensive. I'd recommend the former for paramedics, nurses and med students. I'd recommend this one for residents (or med students doing a cards rotation).

Great application. This is a must have application for doctors, rsidents and medical students. I can now get rid of all the EKG cards I carry in my coat pocket. It is like having an entire EKG book with me at all times. It covers all the aspects of normal and abnormal EKG's in an organized and simple interface. Whoever designed this application put a lot of thought and time into it. Well worth the price. One thing I would like to see in an update would be a corrected QT calculator like the one included with the MedCalc application. But even without this minor add on, this is a five star application.

Great for the price.... The app was well crafted, but the icon seems to get lost in the original black iphone background, sound will make it perfect, other than that.....

Helpful app. Excellent resource for medical students, residents, RNs, ECG techs and physicians. Includes a lot of real 12-lead ECGs for reference. Easy to use as a self-quiz for boards. I like that I can show my residents and medical students examples of common and uncommon disorders quickly on rounds. Good concise explanations and a ton of content packed into a reasonable file size and at a fair price.

Outstanding. I'm taking my cardiology course currently and have found this app to be invaluable. The depth and breadth of explainations are unmatched. It was great before the update, but now it's an even better teaching tool. Thanks.

Would definitely recommend. Not sure what Arsenal is talking about. This is a great app. It has as much, if not more, information than a textbook, and it functions so much better. I can access the various ECG topics in an instant and they are well organized: everything is exactly where you'd expect it to be. The sample ECG rhythms can be manipulated and zoomed in on to see all the details. It's extremely easy to use. The huge database of sample ECGs will definitely help me in identifying ECGs. This is so much more than a textbook, and at only 5 dollars it's an amazing deal! It is easily worth more than double that amount. I would very highly recommend this.

Beautiful app. Downloaded this app a couple days ago. It's great. It's very thorough, and the sample ECGs are very clear (maybe the previous reviewer didn't realize you can pinch to zoom!). They are easily the highest quality strips of any of the ecg applications. I also like the Interpreter. It's great for anyone from beginner to intermediate! I would definitely recommend this app! Easily the best ECG app available.

Please Update. As a Physician Assistant I find it offensive PA is not one of the professional options listed when signing up for the app. I interpret EKG’s daily... I really wanted to try this app, but instead will be deleting it.

Recommended. This is a great app! I love the huge library of sample ECGs. Great for studying and review. I have told all my coworkers about this app and they are all downloading and loving it. Thanks.

Works great. Works exactly as described. Easy to use and well organized. The best ECG app I've tried. Recommended.

nice. This app is gold! It's extremely helpful. All my fellow nurses have downloaded it and we all find that it works great!! And great update too!! You guys seem to keep adding new ECG samples every couple weeks. Awesome service for only 5 bucks.

Excellent resource. I’m an acute care NP working in a cardiology practice for twenty years. ECG interpretation is something I do multiple times each day. I like to have reference resources and I think I’ve tried most all of those available from the App Store. ECG Guide remains my go to for its accuracy and clarity.

Satisfied!. I found this app to be very useful whenever I come across a rhythm that I'm having some trouble interpreting. I'm an ER nurse and this has become a valuable tool for me. I highly recommend this app to those who work on the floor or in the field as a quick reference but of course people have to understand that interpreting an EKG rhythm strip is based on certain criterias; rate, regularity, length of PRI, QRS, etc. You don't just look at how the waves look like to categorize a rhythm. Even seasoned nurses make that mistake. Doctors too. You can show a rhythm strip to a bunch of docs and nurses and don't be surprised if each one of them has a different interpretation from each other. It takes a lot of practice to be able to identify rhythms. Like I said, it's good to have this app handy as a reference especially when you feel like you need to back up your interpretation of an EKG strip.

ECG Guide. I was disappointed in this application. It starts out explaining the basics as I was trained in medical school but once past the 2nd page the writer goes into details that have nothing to do with "basics". ECG reading is not really difficult but there are a lot of steps, if the writer had stayed with the basic steps and once explained then go into the more complex waves it would have been a good solid application. Could be used as a reference, if you have time to go digging around for what your looking for. Postitives: Never crashed (can be an accoplishment in itself). Negatives: Disorganized, tangential.

Happy for 0.99 cent sale!. Downloading now. Sure I'll love it based on ALL GOOD reviews, except for the one complainer who was mad he paid full price. Anyways, happy it's on sale now! **Update** Love the layout! Flows smoothly! Has way more strips than I could have imagined. Stuff way out of my knowledge base as a new RN grad. Yikes!

update now works on iOS4!. I updated to iOS4 earlier today, and then downloaded the just released update to this app (v4.2) and everything now works great. I think the people who are having problems just need to download the latest update. Great app. Love it so far.

Thank you. Keep up the good work and I'll continue to pass on the word about this app... Thank you once again

Loving it. I have tried several apps by this company and they are great! Absolutely amazing content.

Anyway. I am a little upset because it's so cheap now. anyway, this is my first medical app, and it deserves 5 stars. Thanks a lot!

Excellent Resource!. I am a career RN working in a very busy emergency room/chest pain center and must interpret and manage patients with a wide range of rhythms. After purchasing and reviewing all the content, this application will prove to be a good supplemental resource for myself and will assist me in training new nurses. There is a decent range of rhythms, spot on content, and it is provided in a relatively simple layout and format. Vertical to horizontal transitions could be smoother though. Other improvements could include concise separate listing of the most common rhythms with examples so the user does not have to sort through the content. Thanks for a clean, accurate ECG guide for a fair price.

love it so far!!!. i'm an internal medicine PA...i like to think im good at reading EKG's but always love having references....i started reading this program from the beginning in that past nights and find it very good....kinda reminds me of my EKG books...i cant wait to continue finishing it on my upcoming flight and then trying the quizes...i'll update my review later....all i can say is go apple for allowing this and other great products available for iPhone!

Content is fantastic; UI looks comically large/blurry. The app UI looks blown-up and fuzzy/blurry. Apparently they're taking the low resolution UI built for the iPhone 5/5S and just scaling it up to the iPhone 6 screen. Looks terrible. The app ought to be displayed at native resolution. But the content is absolutely fantastic. The best EKG app out there, and I've downloaded nearly all of them.

Best ECG App. I've tried this and the other ECG apps for the iPhone. This is by far the best. The organization makes everything easy to find. It's fast and stable. It has a huge database of samples. The quiz feature is great for review! And the quick reference material is very helpful. Great job!! Highly Recommended!

Very nice ecg app. There are several ecg apps and this is my favorite. It had tons of content and ecg examples. It can help you learn to read ecgs or to read them better. I bought the in app purchase "Qx ECG Analyzer" to check it out. It adds to the usefulness of the app and is only 99 cents (I would have preferred though it be part of the original purchase). It asks you a few questions then offers suggestions as to what the rhythm might be. I will do a walk through: Heart Rate? <100 bpm or >100 bpm (these are buttons and you select one, I chose >100) QRS Width? <120 msec or >120 msec (I chose >120) Regular? Yes or No (I chose No) Then it shows "Candidate Rhythms" with Atrial Flutter at the top (with links to learn more or see samples of A Flutter) and also shows a differential diagnosis with links for other rhythms to consider. Once I was looking at an ecg with the iTouch turned sideways and I could not exit this ecg without quitting the app. I have not been able to replicate this issue again but it was just a minor annoyance in an otherwise stellar app.

Great and I love it!!!!!!!!. I work on a cardiac telemetry floor where I am a tele tech. I seen this app before I even purchased my iPod. it has givenme more of an insight to more of the rythems that has come across my monitors. I have even had to show this to a Dr. to compair to a strip I got on one of his patients. updates are great. but the only thing I would like to see are more of the heart blocks. Great Job People !!!!

Most useful app. Great app. The useability is perfect. There's lots of information, all where you would expect to find it. Great update with the new samples too. This app has a huge library of sample ECGs which is very useful as a reference. Buy it!! :)

Not for normal public- for medical personnel only. I wanted to interpret my ECG so I bought this app. It wasn’t saying anything about uploading ECG and interpreting it. So I got confused. After I bought it’s just like medical booklet for ECG which normal people won’t understand at all. So app is not bad but they need to clearly say about what exactly its for and it’s not for normal people.

Excellet. This is a great app!! I'm so happy I just found it! It has everything I need. And the samples are great! Each one has multiple diagnosis'. Good job.

Nice and concise!. For those that rated it poor- if u were expecting it to be a text book- u should buy one. This app is excellent in review for both for the seasoned and new nurses. It has an interactive view and quizzes. Good job! I have been a nurse for 18 yrs. now specializing in pediatric CVICU.

Top app. This has the most reference material of all the ECG apps, and the most samples. Easy choice. Great content and organization. I just wish it looked prettier, but even without that it's easy to use and the most useful app i've downloaded. Thanks for the hard work.

Resident. Of course a 5 star application, and I would pay 25$ for it, But one comment, Please think about ARROWS on the EKGs to explain what u r describing, I think this is the best modification u can do to your one of a kind I phone ECG application. Thanks a million for ur efforts :) One last thing which is as important as ARROWs also is to >>>>>add explanations in Quiz mode because some people will be interested in only the quiz mode, as it sticks to memory better than systematic review

Amazing medical app!. This app is an indispensable tool! The layout is well thought out. Finding what I'm looking for is a breeze. And the sample ECGs!! I think i'm in heaven. They are great! There are plenty of them, well organized, all high quality. This is a must have app!!

Love it. Better then I expected. Get far beyond the 0.99 cents.

A cardiology resident’s best friend. I am a Med/Peds rural ER provider. This has helped me over the years. Thorough and accurate! Plus it has a quiz function to test your knowledge.

Good for reference. App hits quick and easy to read reference material. Covers basics, but is not designed for first-time EKG learners. Have found highly useful for reminders when reading real ekgs.

Just what I was looking for... Fantastic App. - Perfect for learning EKG's or refreshing your memory.

#1 ECG app!. This is an awesome app. Best medical app that i've downloaded. It's very valuable and has helped me numerous times. I'd recommend it.

Must have app. This is a great app! It has the most samples out of all the ECG apps available, and the reference text is very thorough. I like how the sample ecgs fill the full screen so it's really easy to see all the details. These guys have been doing a great job at constantly releasing new updates with additional content. Excellent work.

Great App. Its true what they say that you can't judge a book by its cover. I bought "instant ECG" first because frankly it looked better. Looks however as we all know can be deceiving. Its a good application but in my opinion is too basic for interns, residents or practicing physicians. The ECG Guide is much more complete. With that said, If it was only prettier you could take it home to mama.

version 4.1 upgrade is dissapointing - analyzer is a pay extra feature. I would have been more than willing to pay for the analyzer feature if it was something really cool like a camera integrated script that would take a photo of an ECG and actually parse it out into specific readings. It's just a yes no decision tree that goes through a few basic steps though. Nothing that warrants an extra fee.

Very useful reference. Text is well thought out and worded.

its ok, don't use it that much. Not a bad app, complements some of the other ECG apps well. better for the more obscure rhythms that I don't see every day. I just don't find myself using it that much.

Excellent. Used this to help study for my exam on ECGs. Excellent app. Also the new update is awesome and it blew me away how much effort went into updating the app.

Excellent app. Very concise & informative. Easy to find information quickly. A must have for medical professionals, especially those who want to learn about 12 lead EKGs. The update shows dedication to making a great app even better!

Outstanding ECG Reference. This is an outstanding ECG Reference. I learned ECGs as a 4th year med student and 1st year resident, but find that I need constant re-inforcement to solidify my knowledge. This is a great tool when I need to review diagnostic criteria or sample ECGs. I also like the quiz feature - really forces me to test my knowledge and seek detailed explanations when I make an error. I've been showing this to the med students and they've found it to be a useful way to start learning ECG interpretation.

GREAT for nurses!. I think that this is a great app for nurses! It has a very thorough explanation of typical and atypical rhythms. It is MUCH MORE THOROUGH than any other ecg app available. And the set of sample ecgs is much more vast than any other ecg apps. Overall, this is easily, hands-down, the best ecg app available! Highly recommended.

Lots of grammar mistakes. The bad English makes me concerned that the ECG interpretation information is also full of errors.

Ward call. Always forget changes associated with LAFB --> this app helps

Awesome. Best app I have ever purchased well worth the $. This is a quick study tool and is fantastic just to have as a refresher for those mind blanks. The new update is fantastic and has showen alot of dedication by the team. Hope to see more in the future. Get this app. I mean it this is a great app. If I could make one suggestion that would be to add a search feature so you can find specific examples easier. Well the new update has proven that the developers listen to their audience by putting in a search function and continued development. Well done guys.

Great. I bought an ECG book for $40 but this app beats it hands down. Great info, well laid out and good descriptions of arrythmias.

Ok.. Needs updating tho

Great. Very fantastic ECG guide ebook

Fantastic app!. This app has everything you would ever need to know about ECGs. As a paramedic student, I found the information very well laid out and explained, and the number of examples was incredibly large. The quiz is also very helpful. The only negative thing about this app is that it isn't supported on iPads. If this was fixed, it would be the best app I'd ever bought.

I heart this app :). Because of this app, I no longer get a STEMI everytime I have to interpret an ECG. The price is well worth prolonging your life!

Don't buy interpreter. Thought interpreter was something fancy . Waste of money addition with no explanation of what it is until paid for and tried.

ecg analyzer - a load of ...... the actual app is ok but the ecg analyzer is a complete rip off. it is a waste of money. whatever you do don't buy it. it doesn't analyze the ecg. it asks a series of questions like what is the heart rate, are there p waves etc. if you have any basic knowledge about ecgs this will not help at all. it will not help for any slightly tricky ecg. money back please

Forces you to give your email. This app looks good, but forces you to give your email AFTER purchase. Not good.

Fantastic. Great app. Any simpler and it would be oversimplified. And medicine can't be oversimplified or else you face dire consequences. Highly recommend as an awesome source of ECG info

Great App. But too much if just learning. This is a great app. Lots of info with great quizzes. It's a little overwhelming if you're just starting out or don't use the info. Everyday. I'm a paramedic and am looking to this app. As a great refresher.

Great App. This is a great app for everyone who works with ECGs. It covers everything and has a lot of real ECG samples. Easily worth the price. I would recommend it to everyone who uses ECGs. The best ECG app I've used.

The ECG Guide. This is an AWESOME APP! As a Cardiology Technologist, this app is great for refreshing or learning more about the multitude of different rhythms that come through the E.R. Worth the purchase price!!!!!!

Needs an update. Good app but it needs to be updated to 64 bit otherwise it will no longer function in iOS 11.

Great App!!. Great learning tool right in ur pocket!!

Code Trauma. There are now at least half a dozen EKG Applications in the store and they are all pretty much the same, except this one. It stands out in the crowd by taking you from the basics to running a cardiac arrest. The updates have not taken away from this great App. but rather enhanced it.This Application still does what it claims to do and does it extremely well - FIVE STARS ! ! !

Well organized, detail problems. Is well organized and logical on order and content. However, the notes are too condensed in places as to render the message difficult to understand, as if you were reading someone else's class noted and just didn't quite understand them. I read ECGs fairly frequently but still didn't find the info clear enough to understand in places. Also, some ECGs don't really demonstrate the text (eg Wellen syndrome), with the text stating there is no ST elevation but the ECG clearly shows it. It makes me doubt the info presented in other topics.

Fantastic. Best ecg app I’ve used so far. It’s excellent for every level of care provider that is responsible for 12-lead interpretations.

Medic44. To much information if your just learning. Needs to be more simplified.

Good but must re-buy just to use on iPad??. Useful program, but totally unreasonable to ask for another $8 just so you can use it effectively on the iPad as well. I would expect my apps to sync between devices. I'm not interested in paying for the same thing twice.

Previous versions were better!. This app used to be very good, but the last update made the interface distracting and ugly. Still one of the best ECG app though.

Excellent App.. A must have app. Very well done. I have this app. for 2 years and it is getting better and better with every update. Worth much more than the current price.

Student. Good app but it would be nice if you could customize the quizzes. I'm just starting out in learning ECG's and many of those you are quizzed on are far too advanced for students such as myself who are trying to interpret the basics.

Excellent. Very good app. Highly recommended.

Much improved. Much improved. Better menu readability in a clinical scenario. Could add latest ACLS algorithms for optimum benefit to prevent the need for am additional app. Otherwise great keep up the good work. Consider adding the ACLS protocols :) Good work

Amazing!. This app is amazing and I use it all the time. There are so many examples it's awesome

Great. Good content. Works great.

Perfect Resourse. Easy to follow. Great resourse for reminders on daily ECG reading!

Not Bad. While I'm not a fan of the organization of this app, nor the way it display's rhythms, it is a decent ECG reference. Would like a little more from this program... movies would be nice.

Just got it to work. Great program!

More pediatric tables please. Please add pediatric tables for the QT interval in relation to age and heart rate.

I'd like to but. I'd like to give this app more than 1 star but it keeps crashing at start up so all I can say is nice title screen

Accurate Diagnosis. I've been using this app for several months now, and have been practising medicine as an MD for over 10 years. I haven't found a single ECG strip to be misdiagnosed. J.P. Deals, please point out a single strip that was misdiagnosed before anyone can truly trust your comments. Or perhaps you are the one who is misdiagnosing the rhythm. Please let us users know which samples you believe to be misdiagnosed and we will determine with whom the error lies. I have found this app to be very accurate, easy to use, and extremely helpful. I think everyone who analyzes ECGs should have this app.

Not worth the money. While the app has a lot of rhythms, the usability is terrible and the design is logical. Not worth the money.

Teresa L&D RN. Not bad, it helped alot when studying for ACLS

love this app. very helpful guide. gives a comprehensive foundation of ECG interpretation and the sample strips are great! -ems/RN student

Since the update app works great. Thanks!!!

Great App - nicely done - full of information. This is my number 1 app for cardiology. There is a lot of information, it is well organized, and easily accessible. The ECG samples are great quality pictures, allowing you to zoom in and carefully view the smaller details in portrait or landscape mode. The main tabs (ECG Book, Samples, Quiz, Interpret) add a nice variety of ways to learn about ECG, quickly flip through real samples, and even quiz yourself both in a multiple choice style as well as using the ECG photos to test your interpretation of each. This new version (released June 3, 2010) added two new things: 1. A "Normal ECG" section: It is basically one page with a picture of a normal ECG and a basic description below. It is nothing huge, but of course an ECG app needs to have a page on what a normal ECG looks like. 2. The biggest new feature is the ECG interpreter, and it costs $0.99 to activate. The screenshots show you a quick example of it. It basically asks you "yes and no" type questions and in the end it gives you possible rhythms that could fit your criteria. That is basically it. However, in the results page, it gives you several links to the regular ECG app containing information on the suggested rhythms. Although this is information already contained in the main app, and you could therefore access it without paying the $0.99 Interpreter fee, it is nice to have it easily available in one page as all-in-one content-related to the possible rhythms. At first I felt that the $0.99 to activate the Interpreter was too expensive for what you were getting, considering that the general app also costs $0.99 and has a ton more information. But, I do have to say that it does give you suggestions to possible rhythms that you wouldn't really think of on your own, and therefore it helps you become well-rounded in your interpretation. And.... I mean, come on - it's only $0.99!!! You can't even buy a Starbuck's coffee for that price. So, in the end, you will have paid $1.98 for the app + Interpreter, and that is worth every penny. I give it 5 stars, and I highly recommend it to those with beginning and intermediate knowledge of ECG.

RIP OFF... Wait for $0.99 Sale !!!. I bought this app for $5.99, it advertised for 30% off. The very next day it was on sale for $0.99!!! What a rip off. DO NOT PAY MORE THAN $0.99 FOR THIS APP. Else you will be throwing your money away!

Student nurse. Nice app. Easy to use and helpful.

its ok. but there is another ekg program out there with multimedia that really is incredible, and without this, it is hard for this or any other program to compete. maybe an update with video might level things out. hopefully someone will combine these things with a decent acls package?

Possible Additions. Great app. It would be nice to have a section on alternate lead placements such as Fontane, Brugada leads etc.

Excellent. Great app. Nice organization and great content.

Nurse Aaron. Awesome!!!

Great reference while at work. I work in a Heart Center in my home town and was looking for an app with all the basics plus so much more. The upgrade made it even better. I can look up all sorts of obscure and rarely seen rhythms. This would be a great starter for those just learning their rhythms. RN, MD, EMS would all benefit from this.

Great Medical App. Simply outstanding. Great depth if content, EKG examples and App design. No pretty movies, but so what. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

Excellent app. This is a great app. Easy to use and logical. Great rhythm samples. Recommended.

Student. Please update. The samples need to organized better. Videos and sounds of common rhythms would be helpful. Lead placement needs to be explained in a more simpler fashion, maybe with some pictures.

MD. Great app with criteria at ur fingertips. Wort the 5$

Well worth $5.99!. This is a fantastic app. It is by far the best ecg app available, with way more sample ecgs than the other ecg apps, and a much more comprehensive text. This will come in handy very often. As for Wake's review below: I'm pretty sure it's normal for items to go on sale from time to time; to suggest to not buy it because it was previously on sale is absurd. I would highly recommend it, even if it costed $10.00! :)

Garbage. Strips barely readable----pure garbage

Upgrade pricing?. If you own the iPhone version you should get an upgrade price.

Ecg. Not helpful if u are a nurse!!
