The best ski app. Such a great app for up-to-the-minute snow reporting and planning a trip around ski conditions to the mountain. I like the UGC component, too, and being able to view photos/reports from other skiers (and post my own).

Great site for looking at past and future snow reports. AlwaysHelpful with all my snow forecasting needs!!!!!!!

Used to be great...and then came the update. Nooo! This app used to be great. You could sort ur favorite resorts by a whole bunch of different categories like latest snowfall or base depth and now I can’t see any order to it at all. I might be missing something but if so that just means it’s obscure, obfuscated and counter intuitive. Either way I’m done. This is terrible now and I’m shifting to NOAA from now on

Best free snow reports imo. I’ve only tried using three apps including this one. But this is by far my favorite. The predictions have been pretty accurate over the past 2 months. Hopefully it stays free

CB stats didn’t add up to what resort was reporting, deleted. 4 star bc it looked like a lot of effort was put into it

Great Improvements!. I really like how easy it is to add my favorite ski resorts and I loved the personal touch with the “snow before you go” meteorologist report video! Nicely done. Also like the ability to watch the video Picture in Picture and still be able to browse the app.

Great App. No annoying subscriptions, and all the info you need plus some. Favorite app for skiing!

Moving on. The new version is full of ads an not useful anymore. I’ve been using this for app for 4 plus years. It was my go to place to get ski reports updates, etc...not anymore. You now need to sign in with an account which is not worth my time anymore. Too bad, you messed up a good useful app.

Forced portrait mode. Seems marginally useful. Not all the resorts near me available. I really loath apps that force the user to view only in portrait mode. Useless on my iPad which is always propped in landscape.

Decent, but sluggish. It’s got a nice interface and all the info I’d want, though I pretty frequently have the scrolling function stop working (I can click on other things, just can’t scroll the main screen) on multiple pages and have to restart the app.

Apple Watch compatible. The app on my phone is wonderful. I love being able to conspire and keep up to date with the snow conditions. My one issue is that it does not work on ky Apple Watch. Supposedly you can track your route on your watch and upload it to your phone, however, it never transferred even though I forced re-tried or restarted my watch. It also wants me to sign in but I have no way to make an account or if I try it simply fails.

Not accurate. Love the idea of this app but it’s ALWAYS wrong. The weather report is never right and the snow reports are almost never updated. I still check this app but just checking your weather apps is far more accurate

Plan my day. I look at this every morning before I make plans for the day. Accurate information. Helps you know who got how much where. You pick who you want to see.

Best of its kind, the only one I use.. Great app for keeping track of all your favorite ski areas.

Great improvements!. The app works great and there are many new improvements! Can’t wait to use it this winter.

OLD. This app is sweet, easy to use, instant pow reports and helpful looking up other resorts local and far. Easy to post about resort conditions, and asking or answering question, except for the occasional haters opinion(Don't Hate, instead snowboard & skate).

Perfect conditions At Baqueira Beret Jan 7, 2022. After a snow storm the conditions were perfect with 4-6 inches of fresh powder and clear sunny day. The entire mountain was open. A delightful ski day!

Nice app, has a lot of potential. Could use a dark mode option, sooooo bright and white! Overall a good app with a lot of potential.

Updating app and review. I previously gave this app a 2 star review as it was freezing on me. I downloaded the updated app 11/22. Now it is asking me permission to send adverts. What’s up with that? What are they really asking approval for? Cross app scripting? I’ll be looking elsewhere. (I received a Developer Response. They did not deny cross app tracking. A ski app really doesn’t need to know what apps I use, where I bank, what credit cards I have and my health information.)

Very hard to post snow condition update. This app does a good job of combining snow reports from different resorts. It has an option for users to post updates, but it almost always fails to work correctly. It’s a real shame. If users could easily upload pictures and updates, it would be a really great app.

Wrong Base Depth on App. App claims winter park and vail among others have a base depths of 80”+ in the beginning of December. As much as I wish this was true it’s simply wrong, the site seems to have correct information however the app continues to have problems. What happened with this app? 5-10 years ago this was the go to app for ski info now it continues to disappoint every season.

Sometimes you need to just leave Great enough alone.. This new version stinks. The old site was so much easier, and to model it after ios or andros is simply put, STUPID! Your app developer sold you on a crap idea. And now the Weather channel page is better. Bye!

No data for many locations. This app used to be good a few years ago. Now it inaccurately often shows no snowfall. Example, it currently shows no snow in the past week for Telluride but other apps show 7” in past 24 hours and 12” in past 48 hours. Same thing last season with Deer Valley.

Not Reliable. Said Machine Groomed on the same day the slopes website said 12 inches of fresh powder. Had I not checked, might’ve missed the best day on the slope this season. Where is the information coming from? Not difficult to check better sources and update. What is the purpose of this app if there is no information that is verified and other sources are reliable?

Love the app but… (feature request). Thank you for the great app, very helpful to have all the relevant info in one place at a glance. One request: I would love to be able to set the preferred units more granularly. I’m a bit of a weirdo and prefer inch for snow, mph for wind, and celsius for temps. Technically that’s sometimes referred to as “British” units but I bet you don’t have too many british users due to that island being quite flat. Anyways, it’s just my 2c, and I’m a happy user either way. Thanks!

I like to his app, nothing really to complain about over the years, but. I very much am satisfied with the app but there is always room for improving I guess. Maybe just quicker updates if possible. Or some really cool feature to blow us away. Maybe like more trail focus, on maps or even 3D maps or trial runs. Can I have a job since I’m kinda consulting for u? Great app, has its flaws. The app is designed well and is informative and easy to use but the forecasts given are not always correct. The resorts that I ski at do have very unpredictable weather, but NOAA and NWAC(local avalanche ect service) do a lot better.

No more historic snow fall data. I use this site constantly to check conditions or plan trips. Recently with the new update it no longer shares “historical snow fall data” which was one of my favorite features to analyze when planning trips far in advance.

Great Developer Response. Developers of OnTheSnow, thank you for listening to user feedback regarding the 7.0 update. App was good for years, then garbage, and is great now. New interface looks more modern and is more intuitive and it is easy to find the information I want on my favorite resorts. This app will now thankfully be my #1 go to app again for ski reports.

Snow conditions in one spot. I love the On the Snow app. It is very customizable so I can quickly see what is going on at the resorts that I am interested in.

Display Is Tiny On IPad. Tiny even in enlarged mode. What gives? Make it at least close to full screen.

Poor Execution. This app is a great idea. Definitely designed for those who want to stay updated…. But now you have to put in the correct information. Weather is rarely accurate or is a week old. Cameras are never showing anything besides a blank screen. Follow through just isn’t a thing :(

Snow was decent. The snow was decent. I was not in any fresh snow, but was thankful it was not ice fairly soft with decent temp and good visibility with the sun in the sky!!

App doesn’t work most of the time. Takes forever to load anything when it does and other times it won’t even load anything

Terrible and useless forecasts. The app is useless for weather forecasts at the resorts. Seems they only report snow after it happens. Better off using the resorts websites for accurate weather forecasting and reports. If you want to know what lifts and trails are open this app is for you. Anything else don’t waste your time.

Non-functional. I don’t know what happened but I tried to open the app recently and it just never gets beyond the loading screen. It worked well for me last season but no luck this year. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app multiple times but it still just doesn’t work. There’s also no support to email to figure out what the problem is. Hopefully someone sees this and reaches out.

No summit weather. This app used to show the expected temperature and conditions at the base as well as the summit. Now it’s just a regular weather app with some ski maps.

On the snow. This is a fantastic app! I’m an avid skier my wife is an avid snowboarder. We get updates on the best locations to hit! They take all the stress of traveling to a mountain out of the equation. You used to never know what you were going to get when you got there, but with this app you can be sure to have the best experience possible. Cheers and thank you!

Missing Alpine Meadows (part of Palisades Tahoe) Trail Map. Their is no way to report a problem in the application. A review will be used in lieu of this capability. Alpine Meadows is part of Palisades Tahoe but the application‘s trail map is missing for this mountain. You also can’t search for Alpine Meadows to get information for this part of the mountain independent of Palisades Tahoe.

Doesn’t work!. App won’t launch, even after most recent 9.1 update, despite developer saying that issue should now be fixed. Running iPhone X with iOS 15 but app will not move off the initial splash screen. Same thing on iPad. Tried restarting, reinstalling - no dice. Used to work well but now clearly broken.

App no longer opens, even with version 9.1. Have used this app for years, but now gets stuck on the home screen. Saw prior comments and responses from the developer to update to 9.1, tried that and even deleting and reinstalling, but same result.

Bring Back the Old Version. This used to be my go to app for ski conditions. This version stinks - it’s deleted my resort list 3 times and it doesn’t give as good info and what you can get is harder to retrieve. Too bad. Looking for a new app. Anyone have any suggestions?

Deleted it.. Worked ok for 2012 season, but wouldn't update or load for 2013 season. Deleted the useless thing.

Useless. Reports are 10 months old. Minimal information available. Waste of space on phone.

Not updated for some ski slopes. Only perisher and mt hotham updated

Absolute rubbish.. Very inaccurate and always days late! I was sitting in 30cm of powder the other day and it still said to pray for snow! Half the mountains it says are closed are open! Sort it out!! This app has so much potential!

Good potential but search doesn't work. This app would be great if it actually worked. Search function to add areas doesn't work and continually get false error messages about no Internet connection. Only part that works is areas near me which doesn't help as I am interested in New Zealand which is where I am headed.

Good App. Good app. Loads of useful info. I find it useful for planning future trips. Would be good to be able to compare snow bases levels for more than just last year i.e. 3 years. Finally would be good to include Japanese resorts. Overall I'm impressed. Thanks.

Japan missing. I’m sure the app might be nice but Japan is entirely missing. There was a review from eight years ago that indicated that but assumed this would be fixed since then. It’s not. Deleting app now

Basic, but that's all you need!!! RAD!!!. Just enough to show everybody, where and what you've been sliding on. Places like "SNOWBIRD n MT HOOD" both as BOMB as they come man ;-). Like I said pretty RAD ap.

Rubbish app. At Big white in Canada at the moment. We have had 54cm of snow at resort level in the last 30 hours. This app reports 5cm.

Great app. Things like the stat graphs and snow cams are awesome.

Pretty Good, but needs more work to be world class!!. I know trail maps are coming and they cant come soon enough as it really needs this, weather forecasts for each slope is also needed and Aussie slopes don't seem to get a mention...!!!

Near Perfect for Intended Purpose. Does everything you need it to quickly, smoothly and stylishly. I have noticed if can be a little buggy when updating snow information sometimes but otherwise this is a great app!

Was good. Was great until recently where at the end of the northern winter it no longer works. Can't add any new resorts as the search function seems to be broken. Please fix.

No good. Doesn't have falls as major resort in victoria and snow coverage depth report seems incorrect.

Almost all. Used this alot whilst i was in Canada and it was a great app to get an update of the mountain conditions close by. Dissapointed it doesn't have any data for Japan as yet.

Lacks detail. Hard to find how to set the resort(s) you're interested in. Lacks any detail. Not intuitive.

Japan?. This app makes me wonder if Japan is even real or is just a dream...?

No Manual Adding. Downloaded this app and ran it right away but could not get a single resort to display. If it has the function to manually as its not clear how. Based on location I can't get it to work either.

2 seasons of use. Do not be surprised if when you hoping to get some info for that last minute weekend away/ day trip to Buller, Perisher or otherwise, the data is not available. Massively underwhelmed by the apps usefulness.

Where is Japan?. You realise there is a country called japan that is a place lots of people ski?

On da snow. This is a great app it's a fantastic tool to see what is happening at your favourite resorts and where it is currently snowing - worldwide ! I recently spent a month skiing in BC & Alberta Canada and it my go to app to see where it was happening. Love it:))

What have you done?. Why did you change so much? Too many adds, options, this and that. I just want mountain updates. Last years app was fine. Devastated.

Webcams aren’t working!!. Webcams aren’t working for Coronet Peak and Remarkables in New Zealand. Otherwise awesome user interface!

Good app, minor improvements suggested. Would be great to separate natural and artificial snow depth rather than compounding it.

Japanese Resorts. The pages and reports for the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc, are fantastic. But, where's Japan?!? It is one of the biggest ski destinations in the world and a Mecca for us skiers 'down under.' Would love to see some of the major Japanese resorts receive their own page along with downloadable trail maps. Resorts such as Niseko, Furano, Hakuba Valley, etc. Would also be good to see South Korean resorts added and Russian resorts as they have gained in popularity thanks to previous and future Winter Olympics.

Outdated info. This app has some nice features, like trail maps and information on powder falls. Only problem is its so out of date as to be completely useless. Unless they can sort out timely data, there's no point downloading this app.

Good. I used this for a few mountains around colorado. Weather predictions were detailed and accurate. Updates were regular.

Fahrenheit ?. Are you kidding me? United States, which represents less than 5% of global population uses the Fahrenheit temperature scale. The rest of the world uses Celsius. That remaining 95% has no interest in understanding or converting your weather reports into the Celsius standard they understand. To the the credit of the developers good intentions, there is an option to convert to metric, but the functionality clearly didn't go through any user acceptance testing, because it simply doesn't work.

Update ruined up.. Used to be one of the most user friendly apps that allowed for easy and fast updates... that is no longer the case. This app is now unusable to put it nicely. Brutal update planning. I hope they can go back to what made them successful.

Horrible update!. The app used to be easy to use easy to get around. Now since the last update it’s horrible! Can’t find any of my resorts. Won’t log in. Can’t find my way around. Just brutal!!!!

Major downgrade. They removed tons of features. It seems pointless to even have this app on my phone now.

Major downgrade. Opened to use and app had changed drastically. Cannot save favourites. Not functional and ease of seeing information major disappointment. This update from last year is a major down grade from an app that was the best. Will be deleting this app.

Don't Upgrade if you don't need to!. What did you guys do and why??!!! App used to be so good but then I decided to upgrade it as one resort crashed... that resort no longer exists, favourites don't stick; nearby resorts is empty! All I can reliably see now are ads!

Ap is ok.. This ap is great for being free. However snow updates sometimes take a few days to register and although they are close the reports are not usually accurate.

Bad just bad. Latest release completely obliterated my experience with the app. Favourite resort no longer stay. Introduced login which does not work . I hope there is not of the old user experience I’m accustomed to coming back!

Sad to see it go. Sent 3 emails to On The Snow trying to be genuinely helpful with constructive ideas to fix the update. No response as of this writing. Apparently no one is home.

Useless after new updates. And so many ads

New version is unusable. This used to be a great app. The new release is completely broken. - Favourite resorts will not save - App rapidly using battery - App now bloated with ads - User interface updated so that individual lines/items are tiny and it’s easy to click the wrong one. - Etc.

Terrible app, continually crashes. Every single time I load this app to look at snow conditions it crashes! also I’m sick of looking at a GMC ad as the opening screen! Don’t bother with this app there are far better snow conditions apps!!

Not Reliable!!!. Snow reports coming in aren’t reported until the next day. I woke up 6 am to check app and it reported 0” at 5am. I went to work and didn’t think anything of it. Resort actually received 10”. I get a better snow report by following a cat driver at our local resort and watching his insta stories. As I’m writing this, we have received 6” in last 24 hrs. App is reporting 0”. I’m not missing another powder day because of this app! Uninstalled! Useless app.

To the Person who changed the App. You’re a moron! This was a great app and somehow it functions like a tester app. Bye dumbo!!

Update ruined the app. Ever since the update, the app no longer works. I can’t even log in now. It used to be my go-to, all in one place to check the snow at numerous resorts. I will have to find something else now.

Awful update.. What used to be a concise and clean way of checking conditions is now a mess of scrolling and bloated with giant ads. They’ve somehow managed to ruin every page, probably time for an alternative.

Oh man. WTH. Used be able to have summary view and see snow conditions etc. Now the interface needs unintuitive multiple clicks to find this info. You folks broke your own usability and app. #Uninstall. Sorry

Bugs. Looks like the app is starting to have lots of bugs. Everything is “null”. Doesn’t seem as good as it was in past years. - checked and this has been resolved. Thanks for the response and your continued improvement efforts!

TERRIBLE with new app layout. I don’t know who was given the go ahead for this change but it’s dog***t. Put it back!!!! Absolutely awful update

Hire my tween sister onto your development team. App was fine before the new update. Now functions like a 6th grade science project.

Had to delete. The info for Sunshine Village hasn't been updated for a month. It's not much use if the app doesn't provide correct data. I'll just view the resort's website for my info. Thanks, for nothing. :)

Metric. Metric setting doesn’t work once a resort is selected . Only work in the overview of my resorts .... please correct

Used to be good. I don't know why they changed this app. It used to be the best of the many I tried, but is now barely top 5. The most significant change is the removal of the "back" button. You have to open the side panel, then go back to "my areas" for it to reload. You can't even just swipe sideways through each of your stored areas. Seems minor, but it gets annoying. It wasn't broke, it's too bad they "fixed" it. I have since been shopping for a replacement.

Useless. They have ruined this app by making it overly complicated. All I want is a simple list of resorts that I can scroll through showing snowfall and terrain/lifts open. FAIL!!!

What have you guys done?. This was the best app. Now nothing works!!!! WHAT THE HELL GUYS this is insane, have you even tested the new update ? Complete garbage and nothing works.

Pretty good. In canada the resorts need a bit more frequent updating but it's still pretty good. The reviews are key, resorts lie (castle mountain) but skiers/boarders can give an honest opinion. The more that review resorts the better this app will be. Nice job, just remember canadians don't consider California a good spot for powder, that part of the app needs work.

Give us the old one back. Please, please let us have the older version

Ruined by the last major update. I thought I had a stroke when I opened the app today. It used to be a really useful tool for keeping an eye on a few of my favourite resorts. Since the last update, the UI is useless for anything except for showing an excessive amount of ads. It looks like they fired the designer and used PowerPoint clip art to make the UI.

Extremely unreliable. No good

Great App--almost always up-to-date/accurate info!. This is a great app! I use it all season (and a bit before) to see what's open, follow conditions, check forecasts, compare mountains and generally get a feel for what's going on. I love having all this info in one place. It even helps me follow a couple out of state mountains just for fun (and comparison sake)! The information is almost always up to date and accurate. In addition to the official published info there are often first hand reports posted. Lately I've noticed it's not just me getting my updates via this app, but many of my ski buddies (independently from anything I've done or said) are checking this app too!

now charging for almost everything!. used to be a good app but now they charge you for most of the apps features.. plenty of other good apps out there with the same info for free... done with them

Great app!. I recently moved from the East coast to the West coast, and just got back into the winter sports scene this season after taking a hiatus for the majority of college. So I arrived here in Seattle totally unaware of the nearby mountains and how they rate against each other. This app has been an incredible tool, I check it every day for current conditions and real-time user commentary on the mountain. You can compare current weather to last years averages, and see maps to plan your trip to and from. Great design gives it an intuitive, quick interface. And I've favorited all the locals (and a few hikes in BC and Alberta) so I never miss out on good conditions anywhere. I often recommend this app to my snow buddies and bunnies with iPhones. This winter I went from dead stop to full throttle back in the saddle and all thanks to this app!

Updated again: doesn’t work now. App no longer works again. just loads the boot up screen.

The app WAS very useful, but changes have literally made it useless to me and clearly, to many others, as well. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the recent update. In my opinion, they tried to fix something that wasn’t broken and you know what they say about that. I get changing the model in search of revenue, but this clearly triggered a chain of very bad decisions. Unfriendly redesign, transition was not user friendly either, features not working, and ultimately, ‘going for it’ with what is clearly a product that was not ready. Heck, even the in-app ads seem intrusive and annoying, even though I have plenty other apps with them. Hoping they get this very pressing situation taken care of pronto, but I will have to move on to a new app.

App is losing value. I’ve used this app for my snow reports for several seasons now. While it was good and used to work seamlessly, it’s now starting to fall apart. Now sometimes my snow reports won’t even update for days. Leaving me looking for other ways to check my favorite resorts snow totals A couple things I’d like to see on a new updated app: - I’d suggest updating the UI as this app is getting a bit outdated. Something fresh and modern instead of looking boxy and plain with bright colors. - updated trail maps - the ability to organize your favorite resorts by state or region - show acreage open per mountain (helpful for the first two/three months of the season) - ability to zoom in and scroll vertically on trail maps. (currently you can only scroll horizontally while zoomed in, thus almost making it pointless.) - updated snow depth history (charts look incomplete and it’s hard to visualize the chart and compare with last season) Overall i’ve loved using this app in the past and it’s been my go to for snow reports but it’s showing its age and needs a major overhaul to stay at the forefront of snow reports and weather updates. I’ve now started to go elsewhere for my information.

Almost perfect. Overall this is a nearly perfect app. The interface is simple and intuitive. The content you're after is very easy to find and you don't get bogged down with a bunch of stuff you don't care about, with one exception: the introduction of international resorts into powder points. I don't care how much snow they're getting in Austria especially when this means I no longer get to see where the biggest dumps in the US are. Please create an option for international so that I can turn it off. The latter is my only complaint about this app and honestly I feel a little guilty complaining about something I got for free. Thanks for the app, I love it!

Text Scaling. I have my text size turned up and the app doesn’t scale well at all.

The new version is a huge step backward. It verges on not being at all useful. I have been an avid user for 5 years. This was my tool to see where (which ski areas) it had snowed and where it was going to snow and what temp and conditions were. It is now a vehicle for ads. The forecast component is terrible now. The history component is not much better; I can see snow in the past 2 days. This has gone from a useful ski app to useless. The layout and architecture is so compromised, I don’t see how it can ever be a helpful tool. Update: It doesn’t even feel like an app, more like a mobile web site. You can find things, but they are really buried. Went from one star to two—but the previous version was 4+ and lived on my iPhone home screen. This one will be moved way back, and if you continue to force social media log-in credentials, I am gone. I would pay a $5-10/year subscription for this info with less obtrusive ads and a better interface. Would pay that for the old app.

Update for iPhone 5 Bugs. I was glad to see the new update was optimized for iPhone 5. Unfortunately, there are a few bugs I've noticed that need to be addressed. When trying to scroll down through 'First Hand Reports' on the main page - I have to scroll up first to engage the screen's recognition of my finger stroke. There is a similar issue when trying to use the top toolbar (ie. Cams, Weather, etc); trying to select these tabs is useless unless I first engage the screen using a finger stroke gesture. Also, I am unable to select 'load more' at the bottom of 'First Hand Reports' - which is perplexing and frustrating. Love this app and use it all the time, just a little bummed about the bugs present in this new update. Hope a new update that addresses these issues is in the works!

Best quick-check ski App. Latest Update: working good now since fix - best ski app there is for checkin your favorite resorts... period. Update- new version fixed missing NE resorts and so far no crashes! Thanks for quick response! Moving back to 4 stars. Update: The new update is a disaster, constantly crashes, takes 20x to get it to start, then when you do get in there are practically no resorts in the database, 10 of 10 major Northeast resorts are no where to be found in the favorites database, yet the show up on the local list. Seems that the database or the apps connection is broken. i.e. Can't find Killington, Okemo, Stratton!!! On the positive side I'm glade the annoying adverts are gone and it sounds like some features were added. This is by far the best ski/snow app, far better than REI or Northface apps. But this looses 1 star after the upgrade turned it into a powerbar app. And it looses 1 star for not linking out to any of the ski resort websites Kill the powebar adverts or offer a version for 99 cents with no adverts and the ability to go to the resorts websites

Horrible UI/UX update (ver 7.x). I was wondering why my girlfriend was having such a hard time finding information after I told her to download this app, which I’ve used nearly exclusively for years. “It’s all on one page. It shows you everything—open runs/lifts, latest snowfall, projected opening/closing dates—for all your favorites on one page,” I said. “You can see those details and whats going on for 10+ resorts all at once within a 5 second scan. It’s great. Easy. You probably just need to add a few resorts to your favorites.” She was still having problems. I just assumed she was not so tech savvy. It wasn’t until I recently downloaded the update for this app that I realized what the problem was. The developers completely trashed what used to be a 5-star app. It almost seems as if the developers lost their sense of UX. I’m not opposed to change. But I do have a problem when change creates excessive inefficiency. What I used to be able to see within 2-3 taps, 5 seconds of opening the app now takes several taps, several scrolls, and several minutes. The usability of this app (as of ver. 7.x) went to the dumps.

this app is (literally) nothing. seriously. i open it and its just a gmc ad and it never goes anywhere. its just a static screen. update. still nothing. worked for a while now back to frozen when opened.

Great app needs a few improvements. I think it is a great app, but needs a few adjustments. I have an iphone 6+ and every time I go to post a pic it tries to open up my camera (as a live feed) and then the app crashes. This needs to be fixed. Just have an option to pull a camera roll pic and not a live feed. That was a good idea, but over the top. The other thing I would like to see is the app connect to a user via email/facebook. That way we can track the items that we have posted. Right now I can even change my user name of who is posting for every post I make. I have made a post before but it seems to have been lost or not approved. It would be nice to be able to track it.

Love it!!. I've been checking this app a lot over the past few weeks, obsessed with lack of snow on the slopes and finding the best ski areas and ticket prices! In conjunction with the website, great info. Unfortunately, the app is only as good as the resorts and users who are updating info, so sometimes it seems to be slightly out of date (powder reports especially) and I would like more complete info on all lift ticket options, but with a link to the resorts' websites in the app, I can find more info there. Hope more users will post more updates. Love the webcams right in the app, but also wish they were live. Still, altogether pretty good and is my go-to app for ski updates and ticket prices in the Alps!

Two small fixes from a prefect app. After using this for a while, I have noticed two things that bug me. First, if you want to make it hard for someone to see the other posts or make it seem like there are no other posts, you make your comment and hit return something like 25 times. It seems like both whiny and resorts will engage in this. Around New Year's, if you wrote about the icy conditions at Bretton Woods, about 30 minutes later a couple sunny comments would appear a followed by a sunny take on the conditions and the negative comment would be buried by 25 carriage returns. Why can't the developers limit carriage returns to no more than two? The second ding on the app is also small. When weather reports are long, they often get truncated. So the weather forecasts for a lot of Vermont today end like, "Chance of precipitation is 90%. An accumulation of." So, you will sometimes not get an idea of how much snow an area is expecting. But these are overall small gripes and the developers have done a a lot of work on this one.

Best ski app. I wasn't always a huge skier but my kids have gotten me into using this app to choose where we ski every weekend. I set it to only send me Powder Alerts when there are 6" or more of snow...so I don't have to wake up early when there is no new snow at my favorite resorts! 😄 There are some ads in the app, but they are almost all from ski resorts or ski companies so it is honestly not that bad and they are pretty relevant. I also enjoy reading the articles in the News tab to stay up to date on resorts. And this year I bought some Christmas presents while I was in REI using the gear section of this app!! No kidding I was actually in the store quoting the review while telling the nice guys what skis my daughter likes. Anyway this is a great app. Keep up the good work!

Great Ski and Snow App!. My goto app to monitor ski and snow conditions before hitting the slopes.

They ruined this app. I live in Colorado, and snowboard about 20-25 days a year. This used to be an awesome app, definitely my go to for years. But now if I don’t sign in with google, Facebook, or twitter I can’t save my favorite resorts?? What?? The fact that I allowed your app into my phone should be enough to be able to, at very least, save favorites. This, coupled with the constant ad bombardment is why I’ll be deleting this app, and downloading a better one. You don’t have to look very far to find similar apps that don’t require social media logins, are clean and to the point, and far easier to navigate. Thank you for all the years that this app was awesome! I’ll be leaving you now, good luck with whatever direction you’re trying to go with this. I can tell you it’s the opposite direction of user friendly, but what do I know, I’m just a snowboarder that want quick and easy snow totals. Peace!

Nonfunctional. Will not update weather forecast information, will not update snowfall amounts. Leaves data behind on phone when deleted. Useless app.

best ski app, and free. I just got back from a trip to tahoe, and I have concluded that this is the best app for snowboarding. On par with the better ski apps: - it offers all the key info on ski resorts - conditions, recent snow, lifts and trails open, weather, and webcams. - it can recognize the closest resorts to your present location - the interface is clean and intuitive - it's free Finally, what separates the app from the pack is that you can see posts from other iphone users who are actually on the slopes to see what the trails are like. Only issue is that at some resorts the posts are few and far between. This, I hope, will improve with more people using. Great job on the app and thanks for making it free!

Easy , organized, great graphics. Most used app on my phone during ski season! Best feature is mountain cams and personal posts for when you are debating if trip is worth it. Year later: still use this app everyday during ski season. Future Weather forecast is weak on this app. But inches of snow that have fallen is usually right on the mark. I wish the app would shorten the approval time for posting user comments. I have gotten to the mountain early and posted status which Would have helped those trying to decide if ok to ski, but post went up 8hrs later. Twitter feed may give quicker updates, but I rarely tweet.

Latest update ruined it. This app was my go to for years! The latest update removed both the hourly forecast and the base vs summit temperatures. It’s just a normal weather forecast now...

Inaccurate. This app will say a ski resort has had no fresh snow when it has in fact had over 2 feet in a week. It is very unreliable on the weather front. Don’t bother with this app.
