Great way to enhance training. I have been using TurningPoint for a few years now and this software has really enhanced our employee training.

Horrible. All of a sudden, it keeps freezing on one questions and I have to close the app and rejoin the session for it to work. So annoying especially that you need to have pay to have a plan.

Terrible. Consistently logged us out and a month into the school year our teacher has only gotten it to work once. After I purchase a subscription it should work but it doesn’t for several classes. Just a bad app and system

Literal Garbage. Just don’t do it. If you are required to use this actual piece of pond scum of an app, then you have my deepest sympathies.

Constantly logs you out. For the amount of money you have to pay for this subscription, it works absolutely awfully. I am being logged out while using the app, getting errors for no reason and am losing points for my class. Only am using it because I have to, but it doesn’t matter since my grade is not getting better because of it

Location? Really?. It’s none of turning points business where I am. App now requires location to be on. Deleting this app for sure.

Good but over priced for what it does. I understand the need for it in a class setting but $30? Is that really a fair price for a mandatory thing we need for school? It’d be great if they also added a little notification system for when a question was active

$30 is disgusting. These people have no shame whatsoever. They charge $30 because they know most people will not have a choice but to buy it. There’s plenty of alternatives to this terrible company.

Infuriating. On several occasions I have been either locked out of my own account or have been unable to connect to my class session due to some mystery connectivity issue. When a large part of my class is dependent on participation through this app the reliability of this app becomes very important. Unfortunately this app is not very reliable. Very excited to no longer need to use this app.

Scummy. This is a scummy business, they know that they’re exploiting students who have a class where it is mandatory for them to dl this app and they choose to charge an exorbitant price for an app who’s simplicity should make it free, I hope eventually that there is a law against this and I hope the creators know that they are actively hurting the advancement of the human species

Terrible app. After paying a subscription fee you’d expect the app to work well but no, it keeps closing out during quizzes making me lose points in class. Someone should please fix this!

Needs update. Yes this app serves it’s function, but it needs to modernize. Most importantly a new UI would be nice. I’d like to see other features like a geofence enabled sign in near a host computer. It’s 2019, an app that lets me submit “A B C or D” is a waste of space.

A Joke. The app refuses to sync with my profile which is absolutely unacceptable. I am unable to use this app because every time I hit the sign in button an error immediately pops up. I’m disgusted. I can’t even login to the app.

OVERPRICED. $25 a year!!!! That’s the least expensive plan for a clicker app!!! This is a simple app and they charge $25 a year for their cheapest plan and most people don’t need this app for a whole year. Why don’t they make a 4 month version!! Because after this semester I’ll probably never use it. Way overpriced! I get they have to use servers for this app but servers aren’t nearly that expensive to maintain.

Terrible. We shouldn’t need to sign in every time we use the app. It’s very difficult when class wants a quick answer.

Terrible. I have to use this for 2 classes at my university and this is how profs take attendance and they are graded questions. Almost everyday my app just stops working and bugs out so I never get a good grade in my clicker questions. If you have the option, GET THE PHYSICAL CLICKER!

Crashes easily and doesn’t allow responses. I’ll be in class in a session, my professor opens the polling, and my phone screen does not change. It just says “polling is closed.” I have to leave the session, close the app, reopen, rejoin, and enter my response within 30 seconds to get credit. Because this app is unreliable I am losing points in my class.

Stupid. Makes you pay $25 for something that should be free

Love it so much!. I use this app to give continuing education seminars all over the world. I have become completely addicted to it. I cannot give a talk now without using it.

Terrible for learning. - Can't go back to previous slides when the teacher goes to fast, unlike other apps like Top Hat. - Slides and quizzes won't load sometimes, requiring me to leave and join again. - One time a quiz didn't load and I got a 0. - Slides are so slow to load that I miss information when the teacher makes changes to the same slide and moves on. - Turning the phone horizontally makes the slide too big and then I have to scroll down to see the rest of the slide.

Bad customer service/ glitchy connection. I have used turning point technologies for several classes. Each class there was a problem. The customer service is TERRIBLE! They give you the run around. I would not recommend. I would give zero stars if that was possible. Wish I never had to use this service. Still waiting on rebate from two months ago. Called and spoke to several different people it’s like they don’t track the communication.

Make me sign in one more time. Professors use this app to host polls which are timed with 5 minutes and graded for credit. Continuously the app has forced me to sign in before taking the quizzes 3 or 4 times throughout the semester. This takes up 2-3 minutes of my quiz time. No other app does this, why is the bar lower for educational apps used by institutions? Shouldn’t you hold yourselves to a higher standard considering your platform is used to grade assignments for hundreds of students. Absolutely unacceptable “glitch” that has cost me credit time and time again. I blame the universities for utilizing platforms that have such flagrant holes in their software. Get it together

Freezes and logs you out. Constantly crashes and have to constantly resign into the session, making me nearly miss many clicker questions in classes

Doesn’t even work. I’ve missed hundreds of points for attendance because of this faulty app.

Bad app. I had to download this for school. I don’t have a phone or a laptop and therefore was given a 0% for this portion of my grade. I am NOT a fan of, in fact, I abhor all online learning as it is not conducive to those who are unable to have access to these online learning sources. My school also does not provide a laptop or phone or tablet to use their require class material. This app therefore supports the crippling academic environment that the 21st century is trying to inject in all modern brains. This is blasphemy.

Excellent for Town Meeting remote sessions. We use it in our town for Town Meeting, there are 288 of us in Town Meeting and it’s been working great for us since 2020 when we couldn’t have met in person yet we had to keep running our town. Town Meeting is the closest form of direct democracy, the legislative branch of our local government. Point Solutions has worked perfectly for us. We log into the app via our cell phones using our credentials and the voting session provided to us by Town Clerk a few days before Town Meeting. We then watch the presentations and discussions on zoom, ideally on a different device (PC, iPads etc.) but use the app on our phones to vote when the voting is opened to us. We can see if our vote was registered as the color of our name changes to teal blue. After a few minutes, the votes display as a bar graph. Seamless. But it does involve tech support and experts to make it happen.

An absolute waste of money. I have to use this app for several of my college courses and it crashes randomly and half of the time it won’t allow you to log in

Sometimes glitchy. It’s frustrating when the app gets glitchy during class especially after the amount of money we spent for a subscription. These glitches can also occur on the professor’s side too.

Compability issues. My phone is ios10 bc it has issues updating. I needed this for a class so I downloaded it, and it let me know I need ios11 or later but I could download the last compatible version of the app. So when I get to class, I cannot even sign in without a message bombarding me that I need to update the app. I thought it downloaded the last compatible version? Needless to say I'm very upset after paying for this and having it not work at all for me.

10/10 very good. Theis is the very goodest app. I play Minecraft on it all the time!! Best part is, no V-Bucks for skins!!!!

So many connection drops and hangs. only get connection drops when poll is closed it doesn’t close for me so i have to exit and reopen session every time for next question. Completely useless

So Disappointed I Wrote a Review. This app is required for some of my classes. I am constantly signed out of my account and during sessions, the app will freeze and I am left unable to respond to questions. This is a waste of $25. 90% of the written reviews are very low star. This will probably be replied to by the company, telling me to use mobile data. I use an iPad. It has no mobile data. Fix your software. You have enough funds.

Not Consistent. I have numerous issues with the app and it not working when it should. This really disrupts the learning process; especially during IMCQs. Overall, I have more frustration with the app, than satisfaction.

Fix your app. Should not have to sign in over and over this day and age. My grade should not be hurt because timed questions where I’m signed out just when I go to answer on your app. At the very least at a remember login ability.

Student problems. 1. Continuously logs out of sessions during class 2. Runs slow and does not load quickly for the next question 3. Constantly closed questions and needs to be manually opened EVERY TIME! 4. Professors’ lecture freeze and have to restart ALL THE TIME - Overall, inhibits active learning time because it is slow for the professor and the students and malfunction ones frequently.

Signout issue. App works as intended but signs you out every time it updates. I never remember the password for it and have to go through resetting it every time. Because of the layout of the login on both the website and the app, my phone/computer can’t save the user and password. What’s the use of an education app if you can’t even use it when you need it?

Complete Garbage. Constantly is kicking me out of all sessions. Barely manage to answer questions that are sequence. Help site requires different account than response system. Garbage. Thanks for helping bring down my attendance grade *sarcasm Here’s to hoping the browser based response system will work better.

I get logged out a lot. Logs me out once a week (sometimes less). Really annoying because I have to use 2FA to get back in.

Glitchy. Glitchy and annoying

Worst app ever (horrible customer service). I had to download this app for my spring term class because my professor required this as a form of attendance meaning we had to use this only in class. When the Coronavirus hit my city everything changed to remote learning so I didn’t have to use the app anymore because I was not attending class. I asked for a refund because I only used the app for a couple of weeks in class and they weren’t able to help me out. Very disappointing that they can’t help out students when they need it. Never using this again.

Pretty awful. The only reason I got the app was because response ware is mandatory for my class. I paid $20 for the code and was told I could use my iPhone as a response device. The app is next to useless. It doesn't update often enough so by the time my professor closes polling the app just updated to show the question. The iPhone can only effectively respond by using the response ware website.

Needs a "stay logged in setting". The fact that I have to type my email and password every single class is absurd. I've missed countless clicker questions and been marked as absent as a result of this tedious process. Absolutely absurd. What are you protecting making the login process so rigorous? I have absolutely no sensitive information on this website, I just want to get credit in my classes.

I detest clicker questions, but at least it's reliable. This app is reliable for the most part. There are intermittent issues where it'll sign me out during a lecture randomly and occasionally when it forgets the session id and has me enter it again. While those are annoying I'm not complaining too much. This prevented me from having to buy the actual hardware clicker and spending 10 bucks more.

Waste of money. Ridiculously overpriced and unnecessary when things like Kahoot exist for free.

Edit: My issues were not this apps fault. Edit: It seems my issue was due to their web host godaddy. All of their websites were down for a few hours, which prevented the app from connecting to their website. "ResponseWare is unable to proceed because it did not receive a reply from the server in time". I have a working network connection and my subscription is up to date. This is an issue on ResposeWare's side and I'm paying the price.

Not User Friendly - Causes me to miss questions in class. The app forces me to input my student email and password each time I want to join a session. I don't understand why it can't save my credentials. This extra step has rendered me unable to answer questions in time, as I'm too busy trying to type in my full login information. Additionally, the app often doesn't accurately reflect what's on the teacher's screen.

Student. Worse apps ever created. My average quiz score is 90 until now. Always has technical problems when too many students use the apps in a single room and kept logged out or won't accept responses. 9 out of 10 times kicked me off the poll. Not a good way to take quizzes, this will reduce the chance of getting higher grade. Now I feel dumb for purchasing this apps

One problem. The one problem that I encountered was when the answer requires you to type it in (say a math answer) it does not work. You see the square to type in the answer but you cannot selected it to type in the answer and I have to go to the website and type it there.

Really HELPS. This app does not make me resign in every time. I read that was a problem with the app but I believe that fixed that:) for me the app is way more convenient than carrying a clicker around

Turning point. Downloaded in two seconds. Saved me money and it worked perfectly.

Terrible. Don't bother using this app! They claim they added ability to keep you logged in across sessions, but it never works. What is even more frustrating is that the login screen is almost impossible to use. I have to click extremely hard on the email text box before it registers that I want to type my email in. Just barely it logged me out of a session right before the professor threw up the second set of questions, so I lost my participation points for the day. BUY A CLICKER, or protest for your scoop to use a different system. 100% of my professors can't even get the host software to work and display data correctly. Turning technologies needs to get their act together.

Useless. Terrible app. Makes you sign in too many times. Completely wastes the time you need to answer a question. Makes me miss all the questions because of how long it takes to get to the question. Fix the bugs. Tapping dialogue boxes to enter email and password doesn't register, but will lag and register all at once and thinks I tried tapping create new account. Then I have to try opening up the dialogue box again. I've lost points because of this bug and not being able to answer the questions in time. Also don't make me sign in every time I open the app.

New update is so much better. Ability to stay logged in between app launches is much appreciated. Drive me crazy that I had to re-log in every time before. Thanks developers!

Hello. Very complicated, very hard to use

Super laggy app. Since the app is required material for many classroom environments, the developers have no incentive to improve it. Basic functions like remembering your login information are nonexistent, and the login process takes an eternity as the session id, email, and password text boxes take almost 20 seconds to respond to your finger click before bringing up the keyboard so that you may enter your information. One of the worst apps I endure using by far.

Needs a refresh button. Reasonable design and idea, but it's very buggy. I don't know if we've ever had a lecture where it's worked perfectly - it might not record responses, it'll sign everyone out unexpectedly, or it'll freeze on an old question. The only way to fix it if it's frozen is to log out completely and log back in (3 steps), which never leaves enough time to submit a response. A refresh button might fix one of the many issues with this software.

Horrible and buggy. Sometimes the question does not appear or load when the professor has opened polling. I have to sign out and then enter the session again. Not only that, sometimes the poll graph does not appear after the polling has closed. This app needs a lot of improvement. A refresh button would be nice, or having the ability to continuously be in eaten session even after switching apps would be very nice to have.

Login and Delay Issues. I mean, as a replacement for an $80 clicker, the app is very efficient in that regard. However, with this being said, there are a few critical issues that really need some fixing. For one, the app doesn’t seem to retain login information whenever I close and open the app — I have to sign in and through all the login screens and it really unpairs my ability to focus at whatever is being said at the beginning of class because I’m scrambling to sign in before the first clicker question. Further, there seems to be a lag when the questions are shown to when the questions appear on the app, which compounds to even less time to answer each question. Looking through the reviews, it seems like these things have been an issue for a while which is very disheartening. But it looks like a dev is allowing contact for support on these issues, so hopefully I can put in my two cents to help possibly fix some of this. Overall, I would recommend this app over a clicker, but It needs some work. Cheers.

Could definitely be better. There are quite a few reviews rating this app low, justifiably, due to its lack of service and affinity to crashing, particularly on devices older than an iPhone 5s. I experience no such crashes on 5s, iOS 9, and enjoy having less to carry, but do have two complaints. 1) The app, on long lectures, likes to automatically sign-out—presumably for security and/or academic honesty purposes. The app should be designed such that it remains signed in for, at least, two hours of inactivity, if not indefinitely—which leads into the next point. 2) While it is reasonable to have to input the session ID each time, since that changes per session, it is particularly annoying to have to input all the login account details for every session. A "Remember login details" or "Keep signed in" option should be present, to allow for smoother access. To anyone thinking of using this app as an alternative to TurningTechnologies' clickers, either make sure that you won't be doing any quizzes or tests with them, or just hold off for now. The tried and true approach is more attractive at this point.

Needs to save login information. The app needs to either save my login information, or extend the session times so that I can stay logged in for weeks at a time. I’m tired of losing points because the professor says “time for a turning point question” and the class is over by the time I’ve finished logging in, entering a session ID, the entering a user ID. Then it seems like the next day I go to launch turning point and I’m logged out again. Alternative suggestion: enable Touch ID, or the use of a PIN. Edit: Lowering my rating even more because the login issue has apparently existed for over a year and the developer doesn’t seem to care. I’ve worked on an iOS dev team for a large corporation and there’s no excuse for not fixing a simple complaint that is this widespread.

It needs work. This app mostly gets the job done, but they seriously need to fix the problem where it logs you out constantly. Within a class period, I have to sign in, enter my session ID, and submit multiple times. I don't understand why it logs you out automatically and so quickly. Wouldn't be a hard fix if they tried...

Best Polling Software on Market by Far!!!!!!. Absolutely amazing software. I am saving so much time and the students are all participating! I have seen my student attendance dramatically increase and their grades are almost a full 15% higher than before. I do not know how I was able to get by without this for so long! I have tried some other companies as well and could not get even minimal support where as Turning Tech has multiple teams in place to assist. Not only do they help with Tech issues, they also have a dedicated phone line just for students, and they have teams that are experts in implementation, training and they even help incorporate pedagogies into lecture! I love this because I do not have to e an expert. I simply give the phone number to the students and their problems get fixed almost instantly each time. I want to say one more time how amazing this software is, it is unbelievable. It is much more reliable and effective than the other companies versions. Turning recently changed their software and the new version is the single best tool I have to use in my classrooms! Trust me and call Turning Technologies as fast as you can, you will thank me!

iPhone is educational!!!. I've used ResponseCards, they r small and have gr8 range, but this will allow me to carry one less device to class as I always have my iPhone with me (obviously). The convenience is gr8. I <3 this almost as much as my energy sword. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Check it out for yourselves. Dun wury, its gone be k. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Unethical financial burden upon students. A $35 dollar fee per student for an app that is kahoot with less features is absolutely absurd

Logs Out Too Often. It works when it works, but for a service I paid for to use in class, I expected the devs to put more effort into thinking about the usability and convenience from students' perspectives. Seriously. Having to login almost daily on this app is a pain. Give me an option to authenticate myself using Touch ID or a PIN. I shouldn't have to type in my full email/password combo. It takes too long and even the professor gets annoyed. Just a poorly executed app. Not on a technical level, but on a conceptual one. Little thought put into how the enduser would ACTUALLY use the app.

Unreliable and overpriced. Responseware is an absolute piece of trash. Subscriptions cost $20 and are required for graded assignments. The iPhone app as well as the in-browser version both time out frequently and do not record answers to questions. This occurs despite great wifi signal strength and costs students their grade due to poor design. Responseware was poorly designed and maintained no matter what platform it is used upon. Its creators clearly do not care about the quality of their product. Our entire 170 student class has lost connections during quizzes, the software is nothing but a hindrance to any session it is used in. It is clear that the developers do not offer costumer support beyond convincing large schools to mandate that their entire student bodies buy subscriptions at $20 a piece. This app is a buggy ploy to make quick cash on the part of the developers.

ResponseWare Application. I've been waiting for this and it's great. I think this takes a big step in the right direction for the future of the ARS industry. I think the next step is to put some sort of receiver into an application -- like the ResponseCard Anywhere, but as an application for iPhones/mobile devices where polling can be controlled from the device. Having the ability to use the application to respond and be polled is great, but having the ability to control the polling from an application on a device would be HUGE! That's my opinion anyway JP

Not a good app. Horrible and terrible app that keeps disconnecting and I loose lecture questions because of it.

Extremely bad service. No school should consider responseware as audience response system. Even after buying expensive license from them, they do not give any service. App crashes a lot. Response don't get registered many times. So even after paying them money, we do not get participation points. When you call their support line, you don't get talk to anyone. You can just left a message.

Unproven. There were too many issues and ultimately delaying classes, very unreliable.

User data is great. I like the ability to check each student and class for performance data. This tool easily gets me data for each student that helps me help them.

Overpriced. You see other apps go for 5$ at most. Just another mandatory college scam app you gotta get to graduate.
