Pricey. Don’t bother on getting it unless you’re willing to pay money for any of the good effects. A waste of money and time, I suggest getting an app that’s free and doesn’t make you pay 10 dollars a month (which is way overpriced for some effects that you can just do on your own for free) if you want some good effects. Sorry, the effects are GOOD, but you can only use them unless you have money. What a shame.

Great Photo App. Love the different style this app provides. I use a lot of different apps for different things, and this one has made it into my list!

To early to reiew seem good, ive got someone blurring my pictures. it a little to early, i got the 3day trial but it charged. we'll see. I got a stalker blurring my pictures, i thought you ran your own camera? or did it just want access? thanks rich

Buy it. I have tried many photo apps in my life but this one is pretty neat a little pricey for what it is but pretty neat if you have the extra money to play with in which case I do not so I use my free trial but if I ever come across some money somewhere this is the one to buy!

Perfect!. Finally!!! A nice simple app to edit pictures. I don’t mind the cost when it’s easy to use, most of the apps out there are unnecessary complicated.

Genuinely like it.. I absolutely love this! Since disposable filters have become so much more popular, I’ve wanted to try it out. However, all the good apps make you pay to upload photos. Every time I take pictures, I’m not going to remember to open an app to take it first just to have it, so I love how this app lets you have the filters for free :)

Very helpful. I have tried many apps, and to get a good authentic vintage filter, this app offers that. There are not many filters themes to choose from but the will work

Worth it. To be honest, I planned to cancel while I still had the free trial as I only wanted to use the app to edit a couple of pictures. I spaced and ended up paying for it, and I’m so glad! I’ve used it for so many photos, especially to add a little spice to images of things I’m selling or just pictures of friends. The premade ‘themes’ are nice to choose from but you can customize everything too.

Wonderful. I just downloaded retro-cam and it’s already great!! I have only used it for 15 minutes and it is the best app that I have used for editing!! I recommend this app to everyone if u want to lighten up ur pictures or anything else!!

RETROCAM REVIEW. A Great imaging app for light & dimension. However, there are a few serious issues; 1) when choosing a frame for an image, there is currently no way to “rotate” the image if it’s not saved in the correct ratio. This needs to be handled ASAP, it’s beyond basic, that you need to be able to rotate your image, or rotate the frame to fit the correct W X H dimensions. 2) Frames should have at least 3 choices that are “transparent film”. Lose the cheesy ones, and make some great transparent/white frames—FRAMES should have color and opacity controls. The App has the makings of a great foundational mobile imaging tool. Please give serious users more control, and options, and you’ll have a jewel on your hands! For awesome frames done right see LUMZO

So great I love it. This app is one of the best photography apps I have ever gotten. The filters are amazing. You have to pay if you want other options but the free ones are great themselves. I really recommend this app if you like to edit pictures in a cool way.❤️❤️

Awesome Addition to my content. Being a content creator, posting many photos throughout the day and weeks. I take a lot of photos and sometimes don’t feel like hard editing a lot of them to add that extra flair. That’s where this app comes in super handy and it’s been my go to for over a year now.

Just started and already digging it. It has everything VSCO provides in one tab, and then a whole range of more options to utilize.

Works Great!. There are a lot of features to pay for, but I use the free edition and there’s still plenty of options to make your pictures look perfectly retro!

Slight Scam. This is not what I was looking for in an app. It was not of service to what I personally needed. Instead of allowing you to see what the app does, it REQUIRES you to get a three day free trial. I attempted many time to cancel the subscription before the three days and it would not allow me. The purchase came out yesterday on my account, I then was able to cancel the subscription. Unfortunately Apple is saying that I am not able to get a refund. If this app was $5 or lower I wouldn’t care as much. But this app cost $10 and I do not hav ANY use for it. As a college student, that $10 is very crucial to me. This app is a scam.

Scam. This app is most definitely a scam. It offers a 3 day “free” trial period, but takes $9.99 out of your account the same day you accept to the FREE trial. The point of a free trial is to see if you like the app and want to continue using the app after those 3 days. But that is definitely not what they do. It won’t let you cancel subscriptions and Apple cannot offer a refund. I’m a college student who pays for all her own things and this $10 was crucial for me.

Buy it now!. Very well worth it. I used it just for the basic themes but I didn’t realize how much you could customize. You can customize the flares, frames, themes/custom theme settings, and more. Simple but there’s a lot to it. Very worth it as an avid Instagram lover! Gonna start using this app much more for those photos

It really deserve, movie styles. This is the first time I make a comment on the Appstore, that’s because I really like this app and this is the second app I purchased in my life.

Good app. I use this app for adding pizzaz to my boring photos I use the free version so while there’s a lot of stuff that is locked the things that are open are useful to me and I don’t think I will be buying the full one anytime soon

The grain is a tool I use most in this app. The grain has its own features like opacity, size and intensity. A lot of apps don’t provide that to the grain tool.

Great app for lo-fi pictures. Downloaded this app to make pictures reminiscent of old 70s black and white photos. Was thoroughly impressed with the results, the grain adjustment and saturation are my favorite features. If I were a professional photographer, I would definitely consider the Pro app.

A SCAM. Don’t bother.. From the other comments it’s obvious that the free trial is sneaky and dishonest. I’m not someone who purchases free trials for the sake of it. if I see the value in an app, I will make the purchase willingly. But I didn’t get what I expected out of it. this app offers no flexibility in that you can’t even adjust the filters. For example if you don’t like how strong a filter is or you want to remove the dust from the photo, you can’t do that. Filter options are limited. For an app that is $10 surely I thought I’d get more value than this. There are free apps that do more. To make things worse. The free trial is a scam and after realizing in 1 day that I didn’t like the app, they made it impossible to cancel so it’s day 2 and I’m stuck having to pay for an app you don’t even want! Yes I followed all instructions given on how to cancel, and it does not work! Retrocam please do better. If you care at all about rapport or building an actual customer base, read these reviews and make something shake. I want my money back and I’more than dissatisfied.

Terrible. They won’t respond to this review as they have not responded to any that address this: it DOES JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY before any free trial has ended. Also, it IS NOT WORTH IT. There is very little this app is going to do to make your photos better. I better not see another subscription for this crap next year. Also...it’s $20 charged on my card. I’m deleting it now, if I were you I would never get it.

Help :). Hi! I have found no way to get to my account settings. When I open the app, it just shows me my camera roll and gives me no other options for navigating. Can you help me get to my settings?

I use it for all my pictures!!. This is the second year I have renewed my subscription to this wonderful app! I love the filters they do so much to enhance my photos and has a lot of options for natural filters too.

Best filters!. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years now and I love it! I have the paid version which is just $5 a year and it’s so worth it. There are so many filter options to choose from and I especially like the options to add “glitch” and grain to photos. These filters help give IG photos a nice aesthetic. I would highly recommend it! My only gripe is that the filters are labeled with a letter and number like “B21” so it’s hard to remember which filter I used last especially because there are many options. It would be GREAT if there were a way to save my favorite filters and settings for future photos. Other than that, this app is my fav! Thanks to the developers!

Yes! For the film lover!. Perfect for anyone who loves the look of film but not the hassle! It’s a great app I love all the effects! The only thing I would like to see is an option to save the combos of filters,textures, light, etc. kind of like preset! But otherwise fantastic!

Authentic Vintage Analog. This app really give the authentic visual as you see from getting picture developed. I use it to breathe life into bad compositions or to add a little something extra to even better photos. The full version unlocks everything which is So Much! I’ll be renewing my subscription AGAIN!

awesome.. very nice features. especially favor the themes as they give each photo a little more depth of story, without taking away from the original content. whatever theme, filter, overlay, or combination there of, the photo preserves the quality and detail. the app is refined and additions can easily be adjusted or eliminated. the photos are enhanced beautifully, creating different formulas for the photographer to choose from. very happy with it.

Lovin it!!!!. This app really helps me create ordinary pictures look amazing and I always post my edited pictures on instagram!!! I love this app, it is a really helpful way to make pictures look different before and after.

Won’t let me use any theme. I pay for it yearly for this app and couple weeks it stoped working like I can’t even use any of the themes. It ask me to download them and when I try it won’t work! They already took my yearly subscription payment and can’t even use it!

GREAT APP. Great app, with some awesome effects. Not too many option which make it overwhelming to choose but also easy to use.

Free options are pretty good!. You can pay to get more options, but the free version works very well too, if you don’t mind a watermark!

Favorite New Photo App. I really love the themes & the frames! For quick on the go or new photographers, they already have a bunch of curated “themes” - by far best app I have downloaded in awhile. No, this is not paid. I just like the app a lot :) and by rating it- I hope it stays. I wish I took the time out to do that for some of my other favorite apps that they are now gone.

Buggy. This app has had quite a few bugs since I downloaded it but nothing that couldn’t be resolved by a restart. After the last update, the themes disappeared (the icon/section is there but it’s just a blank menu when you tap it). I restarted the app a couple of times and even uninstalled and reinstalled and they’re still gone. I’ve already paid for a year’s subscription so I hope they fix this soon.

Alright. I think that the idea is amazing I really do but, I wish we had more stuff that wasn’t pro I get that you are trying to make some money but you made almost everything pro meaning that you have to pay for it so I know this is not something to be fixed I am just saying it is a bit tedious.

great for aesthetic/ vintage/ retro filters. I recently just got this app today and I am if you use it so much is a such a great app for aesthetic filters that she didn’t have was all of the subscriptions but I am glad that you don’t have to pay to be able to use in class that gives you three filters you don’t have to pay for. This app is 100% recommended from me. I love it so much and I will be using it a lot more.💖!!!!

Love it. I love this app so much, especially for the filter that looks like the shadow of blinds. It's very sexy. Lots of really cool photo editing features in here. Definitely worth the money.

Lame.. Downloading it is Free, which is what I wanted. But, once you're in, the only way to use it is to agree to a $9.99 a year subscription. If they had that in the purchase info right out of the gate and threatened to charge the $9.99 upon purchase, downloads would plummet. So I get the need for them to be sneaky. But it is still sneaky. So great for them: it's downloaded, which adds to their app cred. But it's getting deleted now. Just be blunt and say the app isn't free. A free trial is corny.

No trial. I decided to try out the app’s “free 3-day trial” but the problem is either something went wrong, or I was duped and that trial doesn’t exist and I was charged the full price. I didn’t forget to turn off renewal, I immediately cancelled the subscription but there was nothing about a trial, it showed the full one year length. You owe everyone who just wanted a free trial their money back.

Can I please get a refund. I’ve just gotten the notification that the app has charged me for a subscription of 1 year. My daughter originally got this app to try it out on our family photos and to try it she had to apply for a free trial which then would turn into a subscription. She tested it once for 5 minutes and it wasn’t what she was looking for and I thought had canceled it. I have no intentions to use this app and would really appreciate if the money could be refunded. Who do I need to yell at?. I signed up for the 30 Day Trial and watched charged yearly amount just now, not 24 hours in. I want to be refunded, or have explained what else it could possibly be for when I haven’t got a single other “subscription” or purchase from ITunes, and I was told I’d be able to cancel it before the 30 days if I didn’t want it. I wanted a few more days to test the waters only to receive an email from PayPal that the amount has been taken from my account, NOT HAPPY JAN, please respond, is my fight with you or with apple? Love the app but sort of disappointed.... Great app and I love the different textures and filters! I was able to use every filter, texture and overlight when I first downloaded the app, and had favourite textures and things within a week or so of using the app. But then one day I went to use my favourite texture and filter and I wasn’t able to use them without buying a special package or something. I still use the textures and filters I CAN use, but it’s very frustrating that I could use every option for a week or so and then boom, I can’t use half of the content without paying for some package. I downloaded the app because it had such variety for free, but now it’s sort of a waste of phone storage.

Good, but not great. It definitely has potential.. Works great, and the UI is so easy a child could do it, and has a lot of fun filters and frames. It feels like it’s missing something, though. It’s almost like they’re trying *too* hard to make it fit the vague concept, but so far my photos have come out looking like I used an app. The effects I’ve tried haven’t been effortless or discreet, they stick out and it’s obvious. They aren’t necessarily bad, and some are actually good, but there’s a lot going on with your end results.

Crashing. I want to rate this as 5 stars, but the app crashes every time I try to hit the filter button. This is new and hasn’t happened before when I used the app. Please fix this, because for the price you pay you expect to be able to actually use the app.

You will get charged for the free trial!!!. I pressed the button for the free trial and AS SOON as I did, it said $20 was taken out of my PayPal! How is this legal? They’re advertising it as a free trial and multiple people have had this same issue. This app is a scam. There is no 3 day free trial! Do not download!

Awesome when it works.... $20 is reasonable for what you get with Retrocam....when it works. It’s very glitchy, and filters and settings often apply to your photo looking like an infrared light. The filters are beautiful but rarely work even after deleting and redownloading. Disappointed.

What Happened?. Started off great but now I don’t see the same features I saw when I tried free and they have already billed me for the year. Disappointing.

Excellent app. I love how creative I can get with mixing the different textures, light flares, frames, etc. I haven’t had an issues along the way.

Waste of time. Don’t waste your time downloading this. There’s only a handful of filters that are free, but they can be found on any iPhone. Then the paid filters won’t even apply so you can see what they look like before you buy them.

new update. i honestly used to love this app and used it on a daily basis for both my own social media, and for another account that i currently run. however, it now plasters an ugly watermark on the bottom corner of my photos, which honestly makes me want to delete it. i did not previously pay for the pro version, yet was still pleased with the free options. i wish they didn’t have to put the watermark on because i’m not paying for a pro version just to get rid of that.

Not free at all. Wasted data downloading this ap. There’s only a 3 day free trial then it’s a monthly subscription. I’m sure the filters are great but I’m not going to waste money monthly for filters. Most apps have filters for free and some pro ones you got to pay for, y’all should consider doing that.

3 day free trial charges you $10. I clicked the free 3 day trial button after downloading Retro Cam. I was charged the $10 yearly subscription fee instead. I immediately cancelled my subscription that was showing in the App Store. I would like the charge to returned to my bank account. This is totally unfair to advertise a free trial and charge people.

Waiting for refund. I requested to cancel my subscription within the time frame a refund would be promised and followed the instructions to cancel by emailing the support email address, but I have yet to hear back or receive a refund.

Cool but not cool. This app has really good filters that make my photos look really good, but there is trouble saving my edits. I’ve also noticed that bc it has access to my camera roll, even if I do screenshot the picture it still somehow deletes. It also slowed my phone down. In conclusion, pretty sketchhhhh 🤔
