Best user interface that works with Asterisk. Downloaded 5 "SIP compatible apps" only to have iSip & WeePhone work with our internal Asterisk PBX. This app has decent call quality and has by far the best user interface of the apps that worked. I can now make phone calls from the bottom floor of our building that has no AT&T reception but excellent WiFi coverage. Save your self the cash of testing 5 apps and just purchase iSip.

Works well with Asterisk. This app works well with Asterisk servers. Had it up and running in less than 10 mins of downloading. The only "bad" about this app is that it's a bit slow to load. I guess it could need a bit polishing on the UI side too, but hey ... can't ask for everything ... works as advertised.

This app works but you need to configure it properly. I downloaded iSip and it didn't work properly; Audio was so choppy that it couldn't be used (even on the same network than our Asterisk Server). Also under some conditions and I only got one way audio. I spent a complete day doing several adjustments and debugging the protocol to check what was happening. The application is now working fine (audio is good; Not excellent, but good enough). If you are planning to use this application; You must have really good understanding of VOIP and what is happening under the hood. For example; I am not a big fan of iSIP VAD implementation, I had to turn it off. Remember to set the stun servers if you are planning to use it behind a NAT; there are a few free stun servers on the internet. PUSH did work OK to me; although I can't answer the call when receiving the notification. IMHO there is room for improvement on this app. Buy it *ONLY* if you really know SIP protocol and you are willing to spend some time to configure/debug it to make it work correctly on your enviroment. *** Please add g729 support ***

All positive reviews are written by developers. I rarely write a bad review but this time I am compelled to let people know this is a complete rip off. You actually pay $7 for nothing in return. I have SIP account and I use everyday on Fring. But when I try to use on this app it shows me error. If you try to call support, you cant coz phone number is fake. You will never get reply of an email. I lost my $7 but if you want to save then don't download this app. We should write all our bad experiences coz lately Apple App store has started to turn into heaven frauds.

Tried w/Callcentric and works OK. I've tried it with Callcentric a couple of times and seems to be working OK. The connection is immediate. It provides sufficient settings to change + by 011 and avoid the +1 to call US numbers so you can use your phonebook in International notation. I'm satisfied for the time being; I'll keep trying it.

BroadVoice. Works great with Broadvoice. Crystal clear after hours upon hours of use. Complaints: When Within app when in contacts cannot click on address to pull up maps, cannot click on email links for contact either? Bluetooth is also a no go for your headset. Plz fix those points and you have five star app.

Better than fring for SIP voip. The app is a bit pricey but rock solid and has speakerphone. Voice quality is great and there is no delay, like using a normal land line. Using fring before but there was always a bit of a delay when using voip. I guess you gotta pay for the better quality. All it needs are better graphics.

works fine with broadvoice. Push works reliably, and call connection for pushed incoming calls is the fastest among similar products. Excellent job! Customer support is also very responsive and very knowledgeable. Used my broadvoice account with this app, worked great!

almost there. I bought this app to connect to our Asterisk server through WiFi and VPN. WiFi works great. However, VPN needs some work. It does connect up pretty easily to asterisk, however, I haven't been able to figure out how to listen to voicemail properly. It lets me know how many messages I have, but in order to listen to voicemail, I have to dial a separate number. But the really important thing that I'm disappointed in is its inoperability with the L2TP/IPSEC client. It works great with the Cisco VPN Client. Unfortunately, I cannot use the Cisco client all the time due to more inoperability issues with other Vendor's VPN equipment. L2TP/IPSEC is a way I can get around this on Leopard. The iPhone connects right up with L2TP/IPSEC, but this App will crash upon startup after the L2TP/IPSec connection is established. If this is fixed, I'd give it 5 stars.

Where is support or documentation. Enjoying the app thus far. Haven’t had a chance to use it much. Wondering about the ability to dial direct extensions inside our sip network ?

the latest update did improve audio!. Looks like they did improve the audio quality a lot. There is almost no voice delay now over wifi. voice over 3G is also pretty good. I was able to make call while driving on highway, which was always problematic in previous version. Many thanks to the developer!

Push notifications. Tech support claims that push server was the issue although I don't trust that because it works on occasions every 10th attempt works and than when you get push message it gives you view or cancel and if you choose view it brings up the app but no answer option - you just lost a call. Cmon guys what good is your push option if you can't answer the call push notification just notified you about? Let's be real. Can you get someone to get that fixed for you? Obviously you can't do it but there are planty of people that can help you with it. Call developer of Ping! and I'm sure he can help you with such a crutial feature of voip software. I hope you read these comments and if you do you can see that half of the mist recent ones are about push issues.

Works Great With BroadVoice VoIP!. The app has worked beautifully for me. Not being a "techie," it only took a few settings and my BroadVoice account was up and running. I cannot say enough good things about this app! I have tried several others, but the quality was lacking. Thanks, guys!

Works Like A Charm. I still need to test my iTouch side with a mic, but otherwise calls are moving in both directions, and I can hear the far side... I can't talk back without a mic. Setup was easy with Broadvoice... Looking forward to updates - keep up the great work!

All positive reviews are written by developers. I rarely write a bad review but this time I am compelled to let people know this is a complete rip off. You actually pay $7 for nothing in return. No Polish, Not Functional. Tried to use this app with my company's SIP provider. I had to set up a custom SIP account as the provider was not in the list. Even those though I have no problem with desktop SIP apps, I had no luck with iSIP. I create the account then received random dial tones when trying to place a call. In addition this app has very little support from the developers and show absolutely no polish. It's ugly as sin, difficult to navigate, provides no user feedback or instructions and, as previously mentioned, DOESN'T WORK. Don't waste your time or money.

Works, but does not discoonect properly on exit. The app works ok so far, but I did notice that upon exit it did not disconnect from from sip provider correctly. I had to ask them to disconnect me. This is a bug that needs to be addressed. MY sip provider thought I was still connected and thus I could not use my desktop softphone.

Not a great piece of software... still a work in project. While this product has a great interface, it is a buggy piece of software. It will not make calls reliably, and when calls go through, the other party reports continuous static (which I tested and confirmed calling my extension). Since Skype and IAXdialer don't exhibit this static, I can only assume it is problem with the product. I would recommend trying a different sip client for your iPhone - this product was tested using an Asterisk 1.4 PBX

Works suprisingly well!. This was the first SIP application that I found for the iPhone (been looking for a while) and it actually works very well. Plugged in my SIP account and it worked flawlessly, traveled all through south america using it as a phone at hotspots. Recommended if you have SIP account, simple and effective.

It works great!. I have used it for a couple of weeks. I set up my Voipon (UK) account and incoming and outgoing calls work perfect in both 3G or Wifi. When I receive a call, if the app is closed, I will receive a Push Notification, allowing me to take the call. Even when I am in the street connected by 3G. THAT IS GREAT! Support have answered promptly to me when requesting some information about the acc config. Some times, when 3G is not very good the quality of the voice decrease. (It's logic). The Developer needs to keep working on the UI (I think is very poor) and also the ring tones options. Other than that, for the moment the best Voip App I have tried.

Works Well. The new version of this application works exceptionally well with my FreeSWITCH phone stack. I have no complaints regarding the SIP stack, everything works and is compliant. Looking forward to integrated usage of the bluetooth headset! (if this is even possible) Love this application and would recommend the recent version to anyone in need of a SIP phone application.

Good app, but it needs more work.. The application works more or less OK, it has many bugs still. Here are a few I have observed: 1)When a number is dial out, cannot hear the phone ringing. It could be related to settings, no sure. 2)The ring tones are very low, cannot confirm this, see bug #1, but they are very low when picking some of the so few that were added. 3) This app is not answering call, PUSH not working. I check and recheck the settings, of course, the notification setting has been checked, but I cannot get the application to answer calls at all! 4)When I enable the speaker, I cannot find a way to disable, I must close the application to turn the speaker off. Cannot be used in Edge/3G, only WiFi. Waiting for the update to fix that.

Works with asterisk. I don't know why so many are claiming it won't work, I took the risk and was pleasantly surprised to get it working with my asterisk Pbx in about 2 minutes. Seems to work fine so far. I am able to both send and receive calls anywhere there is a wifi connection, even thru NAT. I can be connected to my office pbx as if I was there!

Works wonderfully !. I use this app with SipGate and Google Voice and I must say how happy I am ! I have Google Voice set up so that incoming calls are forwarded to my SipGate number. If iSip is closed, I get a push notification which allows me to answer the call. My ONLY complaint with this is that if the caller is not patient, he/she may hang up before iSip loads and answers automatically. The push notification also shows caller ID in the form phonenumber@sipclient. It would be great if it integrated with the contacts, as this integration is limited to using the contacts app to call from within iSip. I have read several reviews and I can tell MOST of the people complaining simply don't know how to configure it. Read the instructions people! iSip does have room for improvement, but as it is right now, it works great for me and I'm really happy to have bought it ! I fully recommend it.

A great SIP App. I was on the fence about getting this app. I was very glad that I did. I was able to attach it to both my Cisco UCM 6.x and 5.x clusters with no issues. I used the Third Party SIP (basic) phone. Calls work great and have pretty good voice quality. I have not tested the VPN yet but don't see any issues. I didn't give the app 5 stars due three things (two controlled by Apple). 1 - you cant run this app in the background 2 - unable to use on the Edge/3G network 3 - graphics are unrefined

President. Cool... We have an IP Based PBX in our office. I purchased this little app so that I could connect to the office phone system at any hotspot. It registered ok but the audio didn't work. We submitted a ticket to Vnet corp and they responded immediately; had us provide them with 2 test accounts. They found an internal problem with our phone system and identified exactly what was wrong with our equipment. It works great. This is a really cool app.

Outgoing sound quality suffers in version 1.1.11. Previous version(s) worked very well. Like the new GUI, incoming sound quality is better. However... on ipod Touch 2g with current Apple headphone with mic, the outgoing sound quality is VERY bad. Vendor says it was bug in new microphone level settings; new version is on its way (since 4/24). I would have given this a four stars if not for the outgoing sound quality. My other sound-based apps / voip apps are working fine, so this is not a problem with the touch.

Tip Top SIP App. I have been struggling with another app that was cheaper but sort of worked; I was tired of restating the app so I looked for a replacement and found the VNET sip phone on iPhone. Worth every penny; I am actually making and receiving calls now! Great app thanks!

AVOID THIS APP: It Simply doesn't work. I used iSip in the past, but switched to Acrobits Softphone, which performed much better. With the latest update to iSip, I figured I’d give it another chance. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The program not only removes Google Voice integration, but much more significantly, it fails to connect to many SIP accounts -- sip accounts that work perfectly with other VoIP applications running on the iPhone. Even activating iSip's built-in SIP account works only partially. The account is registered by the application crashes almost immediately. Additionally, the user-interface is so poorly designed that it renders simply operations virtually impossible to accomplish. It's hard to design an application worse than this one!!! In short, my opinion is that iSip is a total waste of money. STAY AWAYS FROM THIS APPLICATION until the developers fix the acute problems that render the application useless (at least on my iPhone).

Cisco CUCM verified. I had no problem configuring with callmanager 7.1.3. When I am out I connect via the VPN and still register and make calls via my system. Voice quality is as good as you will get on g.711. My wife and I can drop out cell minutes and pretty much make all calls through the sip client. If you know what you are doing you will give this app 5 stars.

With ios14.2 don’t wok. I love this app, but don’t work with iOS 14.2, please do something, please update, is a great app.

Consultant. This is a great app. I use it with VONO in Brazil and Broadvoice in the US and both work perfectly. I travel a lot internationaly and this app saves me a ton of money and I can call more often. I consider this app a must have for a road warrior. I use it with 3G, 16G, and ver 2.2.1. Very much worth the price.

This app works great!. I have this app working just fine between two of my asterisk servers. Call transfers and alternative voicemail config was a nice add. I'm gonna put a copy on my wifes phone for when we go to France. Keep it up and thanks! I was having a problem with this app when I first bought it but it turned to be the router I was using.

Works well, needs Bluetooth headset support. This sip client is a very robust implementation. Works well in every environment I have tried it in. The lack of Bluetooth headset support drives me crazy though, none of the sip softphones on the iPhone support it for some inexplicable reason. Interface is a little rough around the edges, but overall, a very robust implementation - but please add Bluetooth support!

Awsome. Just used it with my *****jack SIP info and it worked perfect. This will save a ton of my outgoing minutes. Features I think would put this app way over the top are: * Option to record calls. * Option to change the sound of voice. * Option to set # sent in caller ID.

A little pricey but very good. I have been using this application for months with multiple accounts, no problems so far. Sound quality is very good, much better than fring. Their support responds to emails quickly. I believe it totally worths 7 bucks... 5 stars from me!

Very satisfied. I've been using SipPhone with Callcentric and it works very well for both inbound and outbound calls. So far this is the best SIP/VoIP application I've seen for the iPhone. If the following could be fixed/added to the app it would be 5 stars: 1. Doesn't show caller id name on inbound calls; even though I see this is being transmitted to the app. 2. It's a little slow to open/load the App; it takes about 10 seconds on my iPhone 3G. Would be great if it opened in just a few seconds. 3. It would be great if it supported the G.729 (lower bandwidth) codec; although I think this might be a licensing issue. 4. Call waiting. Currently you can only receive 1 inbound call at a time. 5. The voicemail waiting indicator (and access to voicemail) could be a little easier to use. 6. The voicemail waiting indicator won't update unless you close and re-open the app; when this does work on other soft/hard phones I've tried. While the above would be nice to get fixed, overall I have no real complaints. Thanks for the great app.

Great, capable SIP client.. A lot of care has obviously gone into this stable, flexible and feature-rich SIP client. The only problem I have with it at the moment is that it is the only app I have that refuses to recognize any Bluetooth headset. I've tried it with my iPhone paired to two different brands of Bluetooth headset and while all the other applciations (including the regular phone) work fine, iSip only works through the phone's builtin speaker/mic *or* a wired headset plugged into the jack. If that's not a concern for you, I'd highly recommend iSip!

Best PDA SIP client so fat. Coming recently from Windows Mobile I didn't expect much from SIP clients on a PDA but this thing is great. Had one problem with static on outbound audio which developer addressed quickly. Using with asterisk and am very happy - the only limitation (at least in the way I use) it is foreground use only which is an iPhone issue, not an issue with this app. Recording may come in handy too! If you need a SIP client then give this one a shot.

be careful make backup before install it - after shutdown iphone will not start again. Greate function , but once you shutdown your iphone you will not be able to start it again , i recovered my iphone more than 4 times once i installed the isip after recovery and made first connection , after that my iphone did not start again , when i try to start the iphone after shutdown it showing me the apple logo for ever unless i recovery or restore the last backup . when i email the Tech Support they did not give to me any clear answer !!! my confegration 1- VPN connection with my company . 2- connect with Cisco Callmanager 6 .

The BEST. This ap is outstanding. With it I can now use my MagicJack service on my iPhone whenever I am connected to Wi-Fi. I'm going to London next week. With this ap I can walk into an Internet cafe or connect my iPhone to the Wi-Fi in my hotel and make unlimited calls to any number in the US and Canada at no cost. Thank you.

Best Quality VoiP Application in the App store to date!. This VoiP application so far beats everything out there including TruPhone and Fring. I was looking for an easy to use VoiP application with voice quality and easy use being the most important factors to me. At first I was a little hesistant to spend $7 on a small app like this, but the voice quality I got in return for this is truly amazing - a clear advantage compared to Fring. And unlike TruPhone, you don't have to use their SIP Service, you can just choose whichever SIP provider you like. It was very easy to set up and dialing straight from your address book works like a charm. Compared to Fring you also don't have to wait until all your services are connected. The app takes like 3 seconds to load and you can dial right away. The only things I personally dislike are the look of the interface. I wish it would blend in more with the iPhones native applications. Preferably I would like everything to look like the iPhones regular dialer. And setting your caller ID to your regular cell phone number would be nice. Of course making those iP calls using the 3G network would be even better, but unfortunately as we all know this is not something Apple's Mobile Phone partners would like to see which is probably one reason this is not included in any of the VoiP apps that are currently available for the iPhone.

CRASHES!. Just bought this app hoping it would work which most reviews state it does. Installed it and within 2 seconds after enabling SIP it crashes. Rebooted the phone and app still crashes. Restored phone and app still crashes. Deleted app, reinstalled it, set it up again.... crashes! No matter what I do... app CRASHES! As you can see in this review... the keyword is CRASHES. This is the first app I have purchases which CRASHES all the time. Update: As soon as I wrote the previous review, I contacted support about these crash issues. Within 15 minutes they replied, troubleshooted my issue, and within 2 hours later support emailed me a personal beta version of this program that fixed my issue. I have increased their rating from 1 start to 3. The crash issues for fixed, support was great, but I feel the overall product still needs to be improved to receive a higher rating.

How to work in background. This is the developer, IOS4 does not support UDP running in the background. So we still use the push notification service to receive the incoming calls in the background. With the selection of our public push server or your local private push server (if your sip server can't be reached by our public push server), you should have no problem to receive the calls when the app is in the background. You can download the private push server vmware image from our website. Just make sure you have set up the virtual server's interface to bridge mode, so your isip can talk with the virtual server. The IOS4 support gives you the possibility of doing VOIP calls in the background and do other work in foreground. You can also go back and continue VOIP calls after the VOIP call is interrupted by cell calls.

Works like a champ to Cisco CallManager 6.1 and Cisco CME.. I've found this to be a pretty foolproof WiFi SIP client connected back to either a Cisco CallManager 6.1 or Cisco CME without issues. Their forums contain extra information from others who have done this, including setup options. Now if we could just convince Apple and AT&T to play nice and allow VoIP apps to work over 3G. As it stands, you can run this app when on any WiFi network (or over VPN when on WiFi) but you will not be able to use it over 3G or Edge except in the standard "cellular" settings.

It works!. The first app that I know of that allows a direct connection to the SIP server (fring used it's own proxy). My company requires a VPN connection to access our Trixbox/Asterisk server and this app works over the VPN. One negative so far is that some people I have talked to say there is a minor amount of echo audible on their end which didn't happen with my cisco phone or x-lite connected to the same server and calling the same folks. Thanks for the great app, this will definately come in handy when I am low on minutes or international.

Great Start. Works great easy to setup. The only thing I hope to see is further improvements. Voice quality and delay are a little shaky compared to other free VoIP apps available to jailbroken phones. Thank you.

Buggy. The latest update adds a proprietary VOIP service, which nobody wants, without asking. It breaks existing SIP configurations. You have to wonder how good the coding is when they can't allow editing in the email fields, which they doubtless want to spam you with the proprietary service. This was a pretty good app until they broke it with this update. It might be time for a course in quality assurance... It looks like you cannot rely on this group to just get the SIP application right and working.

Works with m***** jack. Got my sip credentials from my mj and it works beautifully with any wifi connection. The dev team was awesome at answering my technical questions. Btw, this is the 1st app I ever paid for and it was well worth my $$$. I've seen a lot of reviews on various sip phones. Many negative comments are by those unfamiliar that in most cases you will have to hack your credentials out of whatever sip phone service you use. For security reasons most sip providers will not disclose login credentials with their clients. I highly recommend this app. Aside from the asthetics, it performs as advertised and my phone bill has went down substantially. However, before buying, Get your SIP credentials 1st. Try a few google searches for "SIP hack --------service provider name here-----" I did and haven't looked back since. Thanks again to this apps developer. -ray

It works!. I was scared to try because of the negative reviews however I saw several that said it works with CCME so had to try. I set it up to our regular call manager 6.x and it works. The only caviot was you do have to create a user account the same as your extension. 4 stars because of the echo. Very faint on the land line side. Sounds great on the iPhone. Works though VPN also. Tested at starbucks at lunch.

Not working with latest upgrade. Everything was fine until today when it updated. Now I can't hear the other end ringing or that they have answered the phone. Please stop updating and leave it alone once it works.

Keep looking! Potential purchasors.... This app worked fine until the last update v3 - Now it doesn't work at all. It's about time Apple facilitated a proper refund system when developers screw-up an app with any "updates". If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Transfer please. At last I can have my iPhone as a work extension The ability tontransfer calls to another extension as with other software voip phones would be great

Finally a real SIP application. Finaly a real SIP application, supports up to 8 providers, I have it setup with acounts from Pennytel, Exetel, Maxotel and MyNetFone, all working well with great results, direct access to the SIP servers so no routing half way around the world like Fring does, really impressed with the results and I see the development is ongoing as shown on their support forum, excellent app and well worth the asking price

Finally a sip app. I have been waiting for such an app to use with my asterisk server. It's a hood start and I hope development continues, for features and the GUI. Specific asterisk support would be a hugely popular feature. My only gripe is the constant black outs, and that was during config.

v3.0 not working for me - voxalot. I am not able to make calls using voxalot service with the recent version. I was able to do this with v2.2. Can you please investigate? Thank you.

Incredibly disappointed with this product. Having tested the free version of this software successfully over both WiFi and 3G networks have gone ahead and bought the product to get the extra features I wanted (like the in call keypad). The free version supports VoIP over 3G, but the paid version DOES NOT. I find this incredibly disappointing and deliberately misleading about the capabilities of the product, as the paid version does not do something that the free version does.

Works well for me. I have had this app for a few months and am very happy with it under 4.1 3G works well Just needs G729 codec

Awful crackle on the other end!. I tried all the different codecs but every one of them leaves the other user listening to an awful crackle when connected to my corporate asterisk server. I want my money back.

Mynetfone. Can you tell about how to use the 5070 port in settings for mynetfone? Thanks

Great voip app. I found it easy to set up. In theory setup works very well. Does however have a lot of crackle in audio both ways during calls. Call quality needs to be refined further. Would recommend it to other users with voip accounts. The best apps of this type but audio codec needs a clean up.

Sip. Latest update works great - had problem with crackling until I updated iPhone to v3. Update is good. I use this at work with my voip provider. Only problems are receiver complains about echoes. Also sometimes I can't hear ringing when I dial.

Perfect for multiple VOIP accounts!. Quick setup with Mynetfone, faktortel, Maxotel! Am using it for 4 MNF/ 2 other numbers and it was simple to set up for all providers. Interface could use some visual improvement, but it works very well! Highly recommended!

Just won't work. When this first came out it worked fine with my SIP service (albeit intermittently). For about a year now it just doesn't work and hasn't improved. I've just thrown the money I spent in the scrap heap and bought a competing product that works.

Awesome. Fantastic app and exactly what I'd been searching for over the past few months. Now I can use my iPhone to make voip calls comfortable in Sydney CBS wireless hotspots for free using my normal home voip plan. Will be even better use when I'm in Europe shortly. Must have!

Nice. Good product ;)

New version + new codec = broken. After weeks of friggin about getting this app to work properly, they upgraded it Now it simply won't work. Calls appear to connect but neither end can hear each other. It's pretty useless that a simple upgrade to a new version should stop it working. But maybe I should have paid advice to previous reviews, as these appears to be a common theme.

Great sip app.. Does what it says it does, better than most dedicated SIP phones. Highly recommended.

Easy to set up. This is awesome!

Waste of Money. This app is terrible and a complete waste of money. The Sip client does NOT even run in the background when you close the app so you can only receive calls when the app is open. It also does NOT support video. Not good enough for a $10 app.

Lacking and not worth the money. Does not automatically re-register if wifi connection drops. Not good for a network where you are roaming between access points. Does not run unless it is the "front" app. Needs to be able to run in the background and jump to the front when a call comes in, much like the phone app itself. Would be better if it was an add on to the phone app itself. Not sure if this is possible though. I was expecting something as good as the Nokia VoIP client. Want my money back.

Works but with some issues. + Works (with Exetel, MyNetFone) + Supports multiple SIP accounts - Voice quality issues: crackling - Remote caller hears echoes of own voice (no echo cancellation) - User interface a bit rough around the edges (large ugly logo, some fields too narrow to read) - Odd split of configuration options between global and account specific for multiple accounts

Brilliant!. Forget the naysayers. Some people are never happy. This app does exactly what it says it will. Great support too. Exactly what I'd been hoping for. Well done!

Great app , works well. I love the ease und usability of this app. Supports variety of VoIP providers; just a matter of putting in username and password and it's set up. Works via 3G and also allows multitasking of other apps while running in background.

Broken .... Again!!!. Doesn't appear to work on iPhone OS 3.12! Everytime a new version of the app is released it breaks. Far to unreliable - don't bother.

Worst than Free Apps. Its complete waste of money. This app is worst than NimBuzz and Fring.I couldn't register even a single sip account and when i opened case with support, they never provide satisfactory reply.I am not impressed !

Brillant softphone. I am using SipPhone with Faktortel and the GSM codec, it works brilantly. Even with relatively high utilisation on my ADSL link both ends experience great call clarity. It is quite possibly the best soft phone I have used to date. The interface is relatively simple at the moment but they got it right where it counts.

Easy to use. This is a great app. It was very easy to set up and it worked straight away. I will be using this all the time. The only complaint I have is the logo which is shown above the dialing screen. It wastes valuable screen space. We have paid for the app already so we don't need the advertising of your company.

Great worked out of the box. Guys, very impressed it just worked - great call quality

Isip 5.1. It's crashing & always loosing it's settings every time I minimize the app. There was no such issue in previous version. Any solution?

No good with asterisk. Rubbish on Asterisk - voice quality is terrible.

Awesome. Using it with my iinet voip and it works awesomely. Really impressed with the product.

This this is broken. The VoIP account doesn't save. Everything you go into the app, you have to add an account. It is annoying.

Easy to use works every time. I love this Sip client. I find it easy to use and setup.

Terrible. The app looks horrible and the audio quality when using ilbc is hopeless on a local network.

Great App. I love it when U buy an app and it does exactly what it says it does. Good solid piece of gear :) Thanx guys.

Does't work with Os 4.0. Wat the hell are the app developers doing. We pay u Guys bcos we blv u wud provide constant support and upgrades. It high time u guys provide us an upgrade that works with Os 4.0

Hipath sip ext via wifi. This app is working great, the latest patch fixed clicking sound when I spoke only on called party end. Keep up the good work guys

Good Ap. I'm quite happy with this ap.. Because it's direct to your own SIP server it boots quicker and has better clarity than Fring or Nimbuzz. Probably my only gripes are the keypad layout looks cheap. I would much prefer it to emulate the iPhone keypad. And the lack of contact names in the recent call list. Other than that it's simple but works great.

The best SIP app. Compare to Fring & Siphon, this is the BEST.

Mostly works well with iinet. Very quick set up, had to go into advanced controls and change the part of the address from 'state' to 'vic' but still it was quicker than doing it on the computer. Sound quality is a bit low but reliable and no delay. Couldn't get push notifications to work.

Best SIP Client for Nodephone. I've had headaches for about a year trying to find a SIP Client that didn't cut off my Nodephone calls. This is perfect. Tried the free and I had a stable Nodephone call in action about 60 seconds after I downloaded it. Picked up the full for the extra features such as the keypad in-call, push notifications and contacts list. If you've got Nodephone give this a shot.

Works well but.... Bought the app, loaded it and made a call first try. Might be missing the point here but I can't walk around all day with the iPhone on and this app loaded. When the phone turns itself off I lose my connection to the SIP (asterisk) server. I don't know how people think they can use this as a work phone. The phone needs this app to stay loaded and be bought out of standby when a call comes in - just like normal calls. Having said that, if I'm wandering the office and need to contact someone I'll certainly use this program. Good UI, easy to set up and use.

for iinet users and any AU VOIP SIP Users. I have bought quite a few apps and this is the LEET of all of them. First I have configured it successfully with iinet using the stun server. The support people are 10/10 wih the outstanding customer service and assistance. Initially it was user configuration but they went to point of understanding my problem and diagnosing in how to fix it. I am not getting latency and distortion compared to my land lines. Hopefully firmware 2.0 will enable apps to run in the background. VNET well done and thanks. Again it's awesome

Works like a treat !!. All staff have at least iPhone 3GS. We use our own Asterisk server & our own Private Notification Server running all on VmWare. We can make calls from any country to each other or back to Office Grandstream Handsets via either 3G or WiFi. And all this for free! It doesn't get much better than that!!

Don't bother with iSIP, generic SIP app. I have not be able to add a custom SIP account. I can enter information but the "Next" button never becomes enabled/active for me to save my new settings and move on. I have contacted the company's support email several times and I never hear back from them. So far I cannot use this application, therefore it is useless to me.That's $5.99 I can't get back.

Impressive app and Customer Service. I am using the SipPhone app with VoipStunt. The voice quality is very good in comparison to the Fring Application / with VoipStunt. The interface is straight forward and easy to use. Customer service is as good as it gets; quick responses with quality technical support!

Le meilleur des logiciels s'il. Il n'y a aucun délais car tout s'exécute directement sur votre iPod. Le prix est très raisonable pour la qualité de ce produit.

Will it support codec g.729 soon?. Wonder it supports codec g729?

Warning. I've had hacks on my asterisk server ever since they updated this app. If you want this app to ring, you have to give these guys your sip id and pw. Ever since I did that I've been getting hacked. I don't think the app producers would be doing it, but if their system is compromised than all our sip accounts get compromised.

Finally an approved SIP app!. Pretty good SIP app. for me so far using the iPhone headset. Echo cancellation could be improved though. Supports sleep mode hence allowing incoming calls.

Slow launching, clunky interface, but voice quality is very good.. I am using voip.ms for 1¢/minute calls, and aside from this app's slow launch time and slightly clunky interface, I am very happy with it for outgoing calls. Incoming calls are not realistic because the iPhone can't run applications in the background (to accept calls the iPhone needs to be awake, and the application needs to be running). But for outgoing calls over wifi only, it's excellent. Even useful as a backup line as most VOIP providers will allow simultaneous calls. Unless you've been blessed with a generous amount of minutes on your cell plan, I see no reason why anyone shouldn't run this app. That is until someone else builds a faster, more elegant app.

Excellent App!. Five Star

It just works !. Simply works ! I'm using voip.ms in Montreal and this app works as well as a standard phone. Called this morning a cell phone in France and it works perfectly. Just one concern, using +336xxxx was not working but 011336xxxx did work perfectly.

Absolutely horrible. Doesn't work properly. I can get it to register with my PVC but as soon as it get put in the background it loses it method for sip transport. After bringing it back up all options for the sip transport disappear. There are better sip programs in the app store for free

Works as advertised. We set this up with our business voip, works great. Would be good to see some other audio codecs but this is the best SIP voip app so far.

voice quality iis terrible. Voice quality is substandard despite setting changes suggested by support. I simply will not use this app and just pay the cell charges.

Great product and easy config. Excellent product. Config is very easy: just had to select my SIP provider (Callcentric) ID and password. Works flawlessly.

iSip with Asterisk. I also have Acrobits SIP products installed for comparison. Application works OK over 3G and WiFi. Audio quality is not as good as Acrobits. Notification feature does not work, while I have no problem with Acrobits. Other features are comparable between the 2 products.

Mixed review - would not recommend. Bought this application on Feb. 12. to use with my corporate SIP based phone system. Application works when I'm in the office, but does not work if I VPN from my home office. Also does not work via my office's SIP firewall from Ingate. In both situations I can establish SIP registration, but I cannot hear the audio of people I have called or have called me. Fring has worked for me in the office, at home over VPN, and though our Ingate SIP firewall. Since the software being reviewed only seems to work correctly while I'm directly connected in the office it provides little benefit to me over the freely available Fring.

Not with Skype. Too bad, Skype does not support SIP. If you are a Skype customer, do not buy this app.

It's a no go. I've been using this since the very early releases. It wasn't perfect then but since the new versions have come out everything has got way worse. I'm very tech savvy and have no issues with other sip software. Quality if it works is mediocre at best. I'd pass on this until things change. Also the GUI is horrid, but that isn't my main comcern

Great App. Great App! Support is strong & timely. Worth every cent. Add IP over 3G & it wood be the best app ever for the iPhone! Keep up the good work

Does the job. I've been using version 4.5.1 with vbuzzer without any issues. Now that OS4 is out, the only thing missing is multitasking to be introduced.

Finaly an open VoIP client. Have been looking for something like this for a while. Works awsome. I have been using it for a few days now and it is truly amazing. I would like to see a few more audio codecs, but I am sure they will come with time.

Forget about this app, crap for ever, accept it.. .

Buggy. Doesn't work for me.

V-3.1 is a disaster. As soon as I upgraded to v 3.1 the iSIP app turned into a piece of junk. I was not able to make calls and can't hear any ring tones!! I regret paying for this app.

Best sip client on app store. After playing with fring, nimbuzz and some others I decided to pay the $ and try out SipPhone and boy am I glad I did! It is head and sholders above the rest! Get this app if you are looking for a sip client.

Great app, needs Bluetooth support. Great app! Works much better than Fring, and the sound quality is great. Using CallCentrix for my VoIP provider. Would be nice to have G.729 codec support... If you can add Bluetooth and G.729 support, I'd give you 5 stars. The G.711 codec is somewhat acceptable, but not great. GSM codec works very poorly for me, even with high bandwidth wifi.

Works well. Hoping there will be a 3G upgrade. It works well to connect to my Asterisk VoIP provider. I'm praying there will be an upgrade that will work over 3G as AT&T as now changed its mind and will allow VoIP applications.

Perfect!. Easy to configure, easy to use. Setup is really straight forward. I beleive this is the best as its going to get for an SIP app for the iPhone.

Not working. Was working previously but now I cannot add freephoneline.ca anymore.

Good very good. Good softphone for asterisk server Work great with my Elastix PBX

Works great without fuss. I downloaded this and was up and running with my voip.ms account in seconds. Well worth the price.

Warning. Using since last 2 years, app hangs and require reboot the iphone all the time

Best sip app yet!. Using it with voip.ms with no issues. Sounds great!

Problem after the recent upgrade!. After installing the Recent upgrade on my iPhone, I got a problem when I close the iSip App, then when I open it again, I lose the sip phone configuration, so I have to input it again. Currently I am using Callcentric Sip phone on this App. Please help resolve this bug, it is very annoying. I have been using this App for more than four years without any problem. It is too bad! Please fix it!

betamax. great with betamax voip provaiders

Could be a five star.. The latency is low as there is no proxy, like fring. My only real complaint is the interface. Ugly.

Great Concept. Another + for iPhone/iPod Touch.

Awesome. This app works beautifully with our Trixbox (Asterisk) PBX. And I can answer calls from Push notifications now! Call quality over 3G is excellent. This new version is totally worth picking up.

Bad voice quality. Not usable for anything serious. Many typos in the interface which indicate sloppiness.

Nice app but.... Crash sometime for no reason

Waste of money. Many bugs! It doesn't make sense Apple approuved this. Push nofication doesn't work. Waste of money!

No push. This program completely fails at push it does not even attempt to do this feature

A piece of junk. A piece of junk. Regret for paying. Still no sounds by now. Numm is much better.

Keep the updates coming.... Great SIP app - very straightforward setup and use. I notice a few changes in 2.2 that might have been better left alone - like the ability to disable Cellular access. Very handy to ensure you don't accidentally make the call over the wrong network. Also, I am almost CERTAIN I made VoIP calls over 3G with version 2.1 - even though it wasn't supposed to be supported. Lets get that feature back! Also - Bluetooth headset support is an absolute must. Keep up the good work.

Gvoice integration rocks. Integrates google voice now, not just sip. Makes this much more useful than any other softphone because you can initiate calls from google voice without dialing tricks.

Works with Cisco Call Manager. Being using App for sometime and it works great with our Cisco Call Manager 7.0. Voice quality is good. Highly Recommended

The OS4 support is weak. Does not receive SIP calls while app is in background except through push. Despite the claim that it's updated for OS4. Only feature improvement is it's not reinitializing when you put it in the background so it's fast to make a call... not the desired functionality.

Ok, but.... Setup was under 60 seconds. It worked fine immediately. But it doesn't work with Bluetooth headsets! Ouch, I wouldn't have bought it if I knew that. The speakerphone also gives the other party a major echo. Fix the Bluetooth please...

push notification does not work for my ipod touch 4th generation. I'm not if it's because of ios 4.1, the push notification just doesn't work in my ipod touch. The fring works well though, and I'm pretty sure my notification is on. Would you please fix it?

Isip. Tried to use in conjunction with Google/Voice and Gizmo5; however application crashed when incoming call answered. (?Push transition error?) Outgoing SIP calls worked fine. (iPad WiFi+3G). Additions: Support had me set VAD to on, this stopped the crashes.

Works great. It took me three minutes to set up and my VOIP calls come straight to my iphone. The graphics style could be more consistent. I love the free calls from overseas.

Easier then setting up an iPhone Exchange Server. Took about 5 minutes.

Just what I always needed!. Thanks for the app. I can finally use voip with dtmf! It works really good and the connection is clear . A must get application. I am sooo happy :-)

They should have left the Google Voice intact. They took the google voice web access out of this app. This was great you could use google voice and the app at the same time. The free version would give me about the same service.

Works perfect with Corp Asterisk VOIP. Plugged and played with existing VOIP infrastructure. My only gripe is that it does not support many codecs, some of which we've had the most success with.

Nice softphone app. This app works nicely and does not cost too much. Too bad the push notification and transfer do not work. Their tech support responds to emails promptly.

Excellent App. I just downloaded this app and connected to it office's newly installed mittel sip server on the first go. Call quality is as good as my polycomm handheld. Very slick app.

Jumina. New version works very well. I was having problems with the app crashing when I tried to connect. Now it connects quickly and works well with Allworx 6X phone system.

App keeps in crashing. I used to use this app daily. However the new version keeps on crashing every single time. Please fix soon thank you

Works good, but there are some troubles. The most funny one - i do not hear other side until i press "speaker on" (and even i press "speaker off" it is continues to work)

Really nice SIP client that works!. I use this with my asterisk server. SIP is amazingly difficult to get right, but this actually works! If you need a SIP client for your Asterisk box, spend the few bucks and get this unique gem. It's good stuff. Very satisfied. Great app, guys.

Works as promised. This is the best VoIP app available for the iPhone. Quality needs to be refined a bit though. If you are having one way or 0 way audio problems, be sure to configure a STUN server.

Needs ALOT of work. First off, the UI of this app is atrocious. It is beyond me how this passed Apple's user interface guidelines. Strange animations, compressed images, bad placement of UI elements, lack of proper capitalization show the developer is careless and not too experienced developing on the platform. On top of that, I can't get the app to place calls - even if I did I wouldn't use it due to it's unintuitive design and uglyness. Look for other VoIP apps - don't waste your money on this one.

perfect. works very well with iphone 4, iOS 5.0.1. Saves lot of money.

Works good on Asterisk PBX. Works good on my Asterisk PBX. Only issues on my iPod Touch 2G the call log generates random call lengths and I would like to disable the cellular button. The new interface looks much better than the original.

Easy to use. I just transformed my iPod touch into a iPhone with this app!!!I can now make free phone calls with this app!!!!BUY IT!!!!

Works Well - Needs More Features. This works well in a Cisco UCM VoIP environment, turning an iPhone into a portable handset for my office extension. It's an excellent start, but it is definitely a basic SIP device without a lot of advanced features. Integration with the directory is a nice touch though.

Works with Avaya SES. We use an Avaya SIP server at work, which can sometimes be rather picky, but this application works great. Now I can use my extension any place I have WiFi just like I am at my desk. Reviewed with version 1.1 of the software.

DO NOT BUY BROKEN!!!. This used to be a great app. The latest version has a clock problem, Either easy night it will delete all your data at 24:00 or any time it crashes, which is fairly frequent. Emails to tech support always go unanswered. Now after 3 weeks, I consider this a fraud! BEWARE!

Works with asterisk. Previous version was great. I use an asterisk server to make wifi calls from the sipphone. Worked great ! Unfortunately this latest update no longer works on 3.0 beta. I'm hoping an update will address this before 3.0 goes live.

Works Great…!!!. The audio quality is incredible. easy to use. well worth the cost.

Annoying Static. With version 2.2, there is an annoying static sound on all inbound and outbound calls when using Cisco Callmanager, otherwise, the product works great.

execllent app, even works with MagicJack!. This app now works with MagicJack, even for pushed incoming call! Voice quality is very good. Highly recommended to all MJ users.

SIP Phone. Old version was great. I upgraded and I have "raspy"audio on outgoing. I can hear ok, but Other people hear noice when I talk. Can I load the old version?

Push notification:(. Push notification does not work.

Works okay. As a voip software performs well and does not crash in the middle of conversation. Only s/w that I know that can use more than one SIP provider. Do not expect any kind of support. Reqested help regarding setup and no reply (not even automated mails). Cannot delete a SIP account that you do not use any more. Authors expect you to figure things out.

Great SIP softphone app. It works as advertised. Advantages over fring are: 1) DTMF diaload when in a call so you can do things like retrieve voicemail. 2) Ability to have more than one SIP provider. 3) Ability to view SIP configuration (fring deletes it when you try to look). Also, I found their customer support to be very responsive to my questions. I originally thought this app was overpriced as others have mentioned, but I have no regrets having spent the money and using it.

Doesn't seem to answer phone calls. When I am using it with Google Voice/Gizmo5, it looks like it answers in the application, but the phone calling just keeps ringing all the way to voicemail even if I hang it up in the app.

Works great. Used it during a recent trip to Europe and sound quality was great. I use it with a Vonage softphone.

Nice product. 7 people are using it from around the world. I have some trixbox PBX working together and extensions in the iPhones. We can comunicate from anywhere!!!! Nice.

Upgrade is a downgrade!. Worked fine till the new app upgrade came out. Now, doesn't work at all with my first gen iTouch when it worked PERFECT before. Customer service isn't a service, just a place to call outside the country that hasn't an answer other than it should work!

Does not work with my VOIP provider. 1. This application does not work with my VOIP provider. I configured it the same as my PC based SIP application (x-lite) but it times out attemtpting to connect. 2. Setting up an isip account fails with an error stating "Too many failed attempts". I received this error after the first attempt to setup an isip account and after all subsequent attempts. 3. My fully charged iphone battery ran down in 8 hours after installing this application. Prior to this is lasted for a few days. After uninstalling this application my iphone battery life is back to normal. I would recommend saving the $$$s and not purchase this application.

Works great with Cisco CME. This app works great with Cisco Call Manager Express 7. I can even use it over 3G (Cisco VPN). You have to use a VPN connection for 3G. Well worth the $2.99!

It works. This is the only sip app I've found that will talk to your personal/corporate SIP server with sending the data to an external server first.

Poor sound quality. There are other sip apps that have better audio quality.

Good voice quality. Much better voice quality than Fring. Just make sure to specify a stun server or you may have one way voice issues.

No issues. I got this to work with my Voicestick account with no problems. Nice software. I would like to try it with additional SIP providers. Looking forward to PUSH notification in future release.

Push notification does not work.. I tried the app with a couple of SIP accounts and the push notification does not work at all. But when I used the same accounts on Acrobits Softphone, they worked fine. They need to fix this bug.

Great Features, but outgoing voice crackles. This is the only app I have seen that supports multiple SIP accounts. Also, the pre-defined setups are a big help. However, I get regular crackling on the mic. Everything else works as advertsied.

Push Notification is not working. I am using Gizmo5 and not getting any push notification. I paid for this application so that I can get recieve in-coming call via push notification. How Can I get my money back?

Great SIP Client. Works perfectly with Cisco Communications Manager Express. Only two comments... With the load time of the app was faster and the ability to have speeddials separate from the address book would be nice.

New version keep deleting my account. Hi I have been using this apps for quite awhile. No problem till I use the latest version. Can you fix the bug in your program? My account is always being remove after I close the app. Thanks

Still no DTMF support when phone is in VPN mode :(. IMO - Support DTMF tone (RFC2833/Inband) during the call is still not working when the VPN is running :( ... wish they could work out that one single bug.. does work when VPN is off..

Works with viatalk SIP. Better voice quality than fring, used the website forums to help me configure
