A MUST-HAVE. Have used both times I’ve been to Paris and it makes the Metro so easy to navigate. And I rarely, if ever, use public transportation at home (mid-sized American city). Absolutely recommend.

-5. If I could I would rate this app -5. It is absolutely worthless. User interface is beyond unfriendly. You basically have to know the spelling of each and every single subway station for it to find it in its database. What a waste of a dollar. Makers of this app should be ashamed of themselves.

Great tool. It made our trip in Paris and surrounding attractions so much easier.! It took a little while to learned it and get familiar with it. If you don't have the Internet on your phone it won't be as practical but you can still use it... Take pics of your route before living wifi

Easy to get around Paris. This app makes it much easier to get around Paris, far faster than looking at the maps posted in the stations.

Excellent app. I highly recommend this app for anyone wishing to navigate the Metro. My wife and I recently traveled to Paris and utilized the metro as our primary way to travel. The app is very easy to use, tracks where you are so you can locate a close station and makes it very effortless to navigate how to get where you want to go. Very easy instructions lay out which line and which direction you want to go. Much better than pulling out a metro map! I checked other apps before our trips d preferred this one for its simplicity. Bravo!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would. This app is a must if you plan to visit Paris, I traveled all over the city & was able to plan my routes using this app.

Almost excellent. Terrific for planning a route across Paris including banlieu. BUT the metro journey times are hopelessly optimistic. Double the estimated time and you will be closer to actual. Highly recommended.

In app purchase for the bus needs work. Fantastic app for the metro but when I tried to use the bus in app purchase it is not as useful. My location frequently go 'stuck' and I wanted to be able to see all the stops for each bus line - just like the metro version.

Excellent way to navigate Metro. This app has a clean interface that makes it very easy to go anywhere the Metro goes. It made it possible for me to safely get all around the city without any worry.

A snap to use, internet not necessary. I used this app on a recent stay in Paris and am using it at home to find places reviewed. Doesn't require internet. You can consult map, search for a station, look at a line, plan a route, find schedules. Well thought out. Covers both Metro and RER. Kudos!

No data necessary. Love this app as it makes it easy to use when down in the dungeons of the metro system. Also, it allows you to plug-in the metro station you're beginning from and where you want to go and then it'll give you the route including where to switch lines, etc.,..

Great App on the go. This app is awesome to have when in Paris. You don't need wifi and the best part is that you just put where you are and where you want to go and the route is given to you. It made it much easier to move around and you don't look like a dumb tourist looking at paper maps. You blend in so to speak. I would double check routes at first just in case. I know there were a couple of times where it took me to 3 trains to get to one location vs 2 where it was more a direct route. There is no zoom when a route is plotted either so that's a bit of a bummer but oh well. Overall 4 well deserved stars. It's a handy tool to have especially when you're going to multiple destinations in a day.

Need this in Paris. Great map and app. Very easy to use and user friendly. You'll never get lost in Paris with this app. I'm keeping this in my phone to use in our next trip to Paris, because we will visit Paris again!

The Best App for getting around Paris!. Forget carrying those huge bulky paper maps, this app is all you need for getting around Paris! With live updates to timetables and optional modules to help you find restaurants etc. Its perfect!

Use Apple maps. Save yourself a dollar and your marriage.. I needed help so I downloaded this for .99cents and a free one. They’re maps alright. I like maps but this and the other one didn’t fill in “that” gap. “That” gap is when you’re where you need to to be but still don’t know what to do. -which of the 3 entrances do I go into? Which platform do I go to? Do I take the M or the RER? -your tickets won’t work for both. Oh! And which train do I get on as several varieties stop at your platform every three minutes all the while your family are disintegrating into bla bla bla. We just returned home from 4 days in Paris, I don’t speak French and it was hectic. Wow. Wasn’t it ever hectic and these maps provided no more help that a printed map. At the metro station of St Michele by Notre Dame, I launched Apple maps. As if the hand of Steve Jobs himself touched my right shoulder and whispered, “You’ve got this.” I entered my destination, “Eiffel tower” and using “transportation” -instead of the other map options like, Drive, walk etc and a turn by turn, step by step of what train, which platform, which direction -take the xyz to abc and in X stops get off just after Y and because Steve was quite the visionary my phone even showed me which direction to face and go!!! Bravo Apple Maps. Bravo.

Indispensable!!. I have become completely dependent on the metro app to navigate the city of Paris! It enables me to reach any part of the city quickly and without confusion. It is my indispensable travel app!

Must have when using the Metro. Soooo handy. Much easier and more useful than a paper map. Worked so well in Paris that we bought the same Company's app for London and had good results there as well.

My favorite Paris app. We just returned from 2 weeks in Paris, and this was the app I used the most. Not only did it help me plan routes from our apartment, but it also told me which stops were close by when we were out on the streets. Highly recommend!

Simply awesome. This app completely saved the day and made my trip to Paris even more amazing. Unfortunately, Verizon's network here does not allow for data, which makes my phone fairly useless. BUT thanks to Google Maps ability to download an entire map of Paris, with my favorite locations, and this app's ability to use GPS in offline mode, I was able to get around, see everything I wanted to see, and do so with the greatest of ease. This app made riding the Metro a breeze!!! If you're even thinking about downloading it, STOP RIGHT NOW and download it. Money very well spent!

Parfait!. I've used this app for years and cannot imagine navigating the Métro without it. It does everything it's supposed to do.

Excellent App. Bad reviews are from the ones that don’t know how to use this application, and, it’s no brainer, don’t need to be a rocket scientist to use it. Easy to use and understand. We went all over Paris, from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to different museums and monuments and even districts where regular people live and eat and no one time we got lost.

Invaluable on recent trip. Just used this app for trip to Paris. We used the Metro to get around. Best feature was ability to plan trip from origin station to destination station including transfers. Also enjoyed having a diagram of the line we were on, showing the sequence of stations (although newer Metro cars show this in the car).

Incredible app; does not require data roaming.. Our first trip to Paris and we were using the Metro like we were born here. By giving it the station names, it will provide a route, telling you what line and what direction to take. Amazing and very valuable app. Highly recommend.

Worked perfectly. Recommended.. While it's possible to navigate the extensive Paris Metro system with the station and on-board maps, this app makes planning any outing so much easier.

Great for quick reference. I've always used the Streetwise Paris map to get around, but this vacation we tried this app. It is very quick and helpful. If you don't know Paris at all, you'll need a map too, since the locations of stations don't show up as street addresses, etc. But definitely a quick way to find the shortest route between stations!

Made our vacations so much better!!!. I found this app a day after we got to Paris. We were doing the same thing as everyone else.. Stoping randomly looking at the big map provided by the hotel or one that maybe you can find online.. 5 mins here 5 mins there wasted looking for the right lines. After I got the app I just have to tell which point of dapper and point of arrival we wanted. And it will figure out the metro lines to take. It doesn't even needs wifi to work!! We were "experts" taking the metro with this app. So worth it!! I cannot recommended more. Best tool to get around in Paris. It even have alerts of which lines are busy or open depending on the people traffic.

Life & Money Saver. I bought this app with an assumption that it will be another waste of money app. I was wrong. It is very easy to use and it will give you exact and accurate directions from one station to another. We used this app and trains all Over the Paris. We had to pay a taxi 110 euro to take 6 person from Paris City center to Airport, because the trains that were going to airport were under maintenance. Otherwise it would have taken 4 euro a person.

Works for me. This app helps a lot. I have had no problems with it. One improvement that would be nice is a spider map of the bus routes like it has for the metro and rer lines.

Only I needed!!!. This map made getting around so easy. The routing feature was wonderful and I had no problems getting to where I needed to be. Made my first trip to Paris a breeze.

Great. This app really helped in learning the Paris subway system. A great system in and of itself. So easy to get around.

Metro. This is the most useful app I have. It works without the Internet so it is always available.

Impractical. Take a good app and make it bad. How? Guide travelers to metro stops that are out of service, under construction, or generally closed. Without live updates, this app becomes more dangerous than useful, stranding out of towners in dead ends that require extra time to find work-around s to get out of. Find a different app…be warned.

Nice app, some minor issues. Maybe add the metro direction when route planning as this is important when using the app.

Useful but improvements could be made. I use this regularly as a Paris resident due to its simplicity, although have found that the favorites option and the Paris bus in-app link-up do not work. Would be a super app if these could be fixed!

So close but so far.... What a disappointment. It looks like it has it all but you soon realise it is missing the most important information needed to make the Paris Metro the most efficient public transport system in the world. When suggesting a route between two Metro stations it tells you which Metro line/s to take but not the most vital bit of information - the direction you should take that line which is signified by the name of the last station on the line. Without it you could be heading in exactly the opposite direction to where you should be heading. Please get it right. It would be simple to fix i.e Take Line 3 "in the direction of Porte Dauphine" to...etc.

By making pubic transport a breeze through taking the stress out of working out which train/bus to catch to where ever I wanted to go. Quick and easy. Found app easy to use and very helpful linking metro lines

Good app but some flaws. Generally pretty good and makes it easy to get around. But the route planner has put us wrong a couple of times by sending us to connections at stations that were not available. Most of these unavailable lines at stations were due to long term maintenance work. (Metro line 2 at Barbés Rouge or trains above ground on "C" past Ivalides for example) I think long term maintenance like this should be considered by the App when planning a route.

The Best; Second to None.. I have used the App in Paris for 5 days and can confirm without hesitation this App is brilliant. It's main strength is simplicity and power 'on the move', while you are standing in the Metro station, in a real-life situation, with hundreds of people rushing around you and lots of confusing signs. Definitely an excellent App and very very useful. Select the From and To stations (very easy interface) and you almost instantly have all the details you need (lines, changes, map, and more). Well done. Absolutely the best.

One of the best. This is one of the best app I have come accross, was in paris a week ago, used this app and it was a breeze to travel on one of the most complicated metro networks in the world. Every one visiting paris and using metro/RER should have this. Without this I would have wasted hours trying to figure out which way go, where to change lines.

The up-to-date alerts are useful. But in a lot of other ways, I prefer the old Paris Metro app from last year. It had a metro map with all the major landmarks clearly posted on it, for example.

Traveller. One of the better apps on the market. Am in Paris now and have used for a few days without a hitch. Helps if you can actually talk to people as everyone is willing to help. It's designed to be an interactive guide and it works really well. To compare, get a map of Paris metro and try to understand it!

Mr.. During a recent stay in Paris I used this app multiple times a day to find the best metro (and RER, etc) route from A to B. The Paris metro system while conceptually straightforward is so massive that you really need a tool like this to navigate it efficiently.

handy. this app allows you to enter your start and end points, then offers multiple route options. simple and effective.

Il fault! Must have in Paris. Worth every penny. A great app, easy to use, especially in the rush between metro stations. Indispensable if you travel by metro in Paris. Really.

Buggy?. It seems like a useful app, though the push notification badge does not go away even after I've disabled notifications in both the app and the iPod Settings. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, but I'm stuck with the badge, which is rather annoying.

Does what you need it to do. You don't need data enabled for this app to work and it beats standing in front of the board at the metro running your finger around the map.

Good for getting around Paris. This app is very helpful for navigating the Paris metro system. It would be a 4 or 5 star app if it gave the direction to take on each line when providing directions. Instead it just gives stop and line so you have to go to the map to see which direction to catch the train.

Great App. Was in Paris early January 2012. Found this app to be exceptionally handy and worked well offline, given that I shut off the cellular data to my iPhone. Very handy and well worth the price.

well worth it. Great app. I used the 2.x version, and it was great. The new version allows the addition of Points of Interest, but at an additional cost. This cost is not worth it. Route calculations can be a bit odd, but it gets you where you need to go. Transfers in the Paris Metro can be 100s of metres with many flights of stairs ,and this app does not take this into effect. Beware if you have luggage!

Very good app, but the "you are here" button needs modification.. It's a very good app although it has some trouble with identifying my location (even using wifi), but the giant pulsating "you are here" button is extremely distracting and makes me feel very seasick and nauseated. I have to cover it with my finger as I look at the map or it gives me a headache- it would be much better as a smaller, NON-MOVING point (or perhaps even pulsating occasionally rather than constantly and quickly).

Great little program. This proved very useful on our recent visit to Paris. Only thing I would look for as an improvement is that it not only tell you the line to take to get to your destination but also the direction to take on the line. This can be confusing to figure out on one's own As it requires you to trace the line map to determine the end station in the appropriate direction. Other than this one wish it is a most excellent tool to have with you in Paris. Bon voyage mon Amis!

Just like the website. Very useful app if you don't want to carry around a ratty old map with you on the Paris métro. There are maps for the lesser-known Transillien/SNCF train lines, but sadly no route planner for the stations on these lines. For a tourist, however, the Métro, RER and Tram routes is more than enough.

Excellent and useful application. If you ever hated feeling like a tourist by stumbling through subway maps in cities you are visiting, this app is for you! It quickly routes you from stop A to stop B, making finding any place in Paris a breeze. The only deficiency I could find was that sometimes the time estimate was either too short or too long. It's O.K. It's O.K. A little confuse between subway and bus. You can't mixed. The try to charge for anything else like see sights close to the stations or restaurants, etc. To know and how to move by subway O.K.

Phenomenal!. This app absolutely made my trip to Paris! Indispensable! Accurate! Made me feel like a local navigating the city by train. Only recommendation would be to include info on how to buy tickets & transfer between Metro & RER.

One of my favorite apps. Very helpful and user friendly. I can't really find a flaw. Gives me all practical information on getting around and planning a trip. I should actually use it more often. It saves time and plans better trips than I can.

Best app I've purchased. This was the best $0.99 I've ever spent. It saved me so much time in Paris as it made it extremely easy and fast to use the Metro. There is just one thing I hope the developers will do. When the route is displayed (in the list format) please add the name of the stop at the end of the line so that in the metro station it is easier to know which train to go to. For example, the yellow line 1 ends at either La Defense or Chateau de Vincennes. You need to know which one of these is the end of the route you are travelling in order to get on the right train. With this additional info it would be perfect!

best metro app for getting around paris. i would have been so lost without this app. it has been endlessly helpful. you can select a route, add stations to bookmarks, see a map and see the estimated travel time. and it all works without internet, which was really important for me because my iphone's 3g didn't work in other countries and wifi can be scarce. i highly recommend this if you are going to paris and plan to use the metro a lot. the only downside was that sometimes it would select a route that used the RER trains, which were the suburban commuter trains that you have to buy separate tickets for, as the fastest route which meant i had to figure it out on my own. still amazingly helpful though.

Practical. Very useful, but, beware that sometimes a station may be closed for repairs causing you to have to reroute. Be patient.

1 star until 64 bit. This app won't work with iOS 11. Needs to be 64 bit, then 5 stars.

Invaluable for gettng around Paris by subway. I downloaded several apps for our Paris trip, and used this one the most. We took the Metro everywhere, which would have been much more cumbersome without the app. Bookmarking routes was extermely helpful, as was being able to view each line in its entirety. Also, it can be used entirely offline. (Since I used it offline -- to save on data roaming charges -- I can't comment on any of the online features.) The reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: (1) Metro directions are designated by a line's end-points. The routes on Metro Paris Subway direct you to take line such-and-such to a certain stop, but don't tell you which direction that is or which end-point it heads toward, so you have to look at either the map or the individual line to see what the appropriate end-point is. It would have been helpful if that info was included in the route directions themselves. (2) Where there was more station at which one could change trains, the routes were not always consistent and did not seem to take into account which station would be better. For example, the route from Tuileries to Maubert - Mutalite had us changing trains at Chatalet, a large station with a long walk, while the reverse route -- Maubert - Mutalite to Tuileries -- had us changing at Palais Royal - Musee Du Louvre, a much shorter walk.

Great for first visit to Paris. We just got back from our first time in Paris and I am so glad we got this app! Only problem is we didnt have service there so we couldn't really use the nearby feature as it didn't know where we were. I had the trip advisor guide app as well to have a offline map and that worked great to switch between these two and make sure we got off on the right stop. Very handy and well worth the price!

Awesome! Very helpful. This app was so helpful for me when I was in Paris! I spent the summer in Paris taking French and it literally got me EVERYWHERE with the slightest of ease! I think this new update will be even better but I didn't get a chance to try it! At one point the RER C line was broken, but it routed me that way and I ended up having to find my way around it because it wouldn't give me any other route! I saw so many people looking at the metro maps with all the people rushing by but all I had to do was put it into my phone and off I went!

Most important paris app. This is the program that changed my trip. This is a must. Thanks to this app I felt like a Parisian. No big metro maps, no need to ask questions. Every day I discovered new features. The most amazing feature is the augmented reality, so helpful. At the beginning I thought this feature is just for fun, but now I don't know how I will be able to travel without this. Many times you fund yourself where is the metro, it suppose to be here. With this feature you can find easily. Tourist. I just spent 3 days in Paris. I started out using paper maps and trying to be the "guy" and not get lost in the huge maze of metro and train lines, it didn't work too well. So, I downloaded this app and dumped the paper maps. During the 3 days we spent following the tour maps I used this app to get from one location to the next, it never failed me and was so simple to follow, we never got lost once. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

An absolute "YES!" if going to Paris. I just returned from a trip to Paris and this program is GREAT! This self computing program (no wifi needed) is an absolute must if going to Paris. It gives great maps of the Metro, RER and Bus lines. No more needing to read the maps at stations! Furthermore, it's GREATEST feature is an automatic routing program. Enter the station you are starting from, the station where you want to go, and it automatically and quickly generates (without WIFI or internet access!) a route including lines, transfers and time to destination. The route can then also convert to a graphical map showing each station along the way. FIVE STARS!

Direction of travel needs to be indicated on route screen. I recently returned from a 10-day Paris visit where I used this app. Although it proved useful, after a few days I became quite unimpressed due to the fact that the route screen does not show direction of travel. This necessitated referring to a route map within the app or on the wall of the metro station to find the correct end point. This was even more complicated when taking the RER that could have multiple end points. At about day five I downloaded a different free app that indicated travel direction. This made underground travel much easier and less stressful. Travel direction is obviously used when computing routes, that information needs to be made available to the user.

OK -- the one from Visual IT is better. Having spent a few days in Paris recently, we used both this and the one from Visual IT. We kept going back to the one from Visual IT over and over for the Metro. The Presselite one is okay -- not that intuitive. The Visual IT app does just the Metro and does it well -- it is worth the extra $. Never wrong. We looked less like tourists with it. The directions on the Visual IT one are more concise as well. Presselite is an overall better presentation package - the other one is more quickly useful for the Metro. I do wish both gave us more of a heads-up on the impending rail strikes! ;)

Simple is best. No frustration. Straightforward and simple. Love this app.

Not so good. I was disappointed in this app actually. Out of all my issues, here are some key ones: although it will tell you what are the closest Metro stations, it won't tell you how to reach them. I would expect either a built-in map ir an integraiton with Google Maps to show how to go there... Moreover, searching for a station name is very weak if not broken: it will only search for stations whose name starts with the letters you enter. For instance it won't find "Sevres Levourbe" is you type "Lecourbe" ! Better have a pdf version of the Metro map for free rather than paying for this app.

Frustrated!!!!. Can't get screens to open. Disappointing!!! Loved London Tube Deluxe but this won't work! Had to install another app.

Metro Paris Subway is well worth $.99. This app is the one to buy for navigating the Paris Metro. Many paper maps of the Metro suffer from ambiguities (because of the small printing, or the similar colors used with lines); the app allows you to quickly and clearly see each line (with stops and end-stations), each station, and it will even route the most efficient path between any two stations, giving an estimated time. All this without a WiFi connection. Until you memorize the Metro, you'll want this app.

October 2009 Metro APP Review. Having just returned from a 5 day trip to Paris my thoughts are: 1. This app would be really beneficial if you lived in Paris or Europe full-time. As an American I have heard the horror stories of AT&T data roaming charges exceeding $500 dollars for a short visit. Before I left I turned off my data roaming on my iPhone. Unfortunately this caused me to lose most of the great features of this app. The GPS location services don't function with data turned off because apparently it works in conjuction with Google Maps. Also the POI's wouldn't appear for the same reasons. On the plus side it is an excellent metro map and I did find myself consulting this for transfer stations within the Paris Metro System. The negatives I have mentioned really aren't a fault of the app, just the problems with the way AT&T addresses data roaming and locked phones.

Nicely done, works well, but missing some stations. It's a well designed app and easy to use. An oversight is that some suburban RER stations that are indicated on the map are not shown in the stations tab, and cannot be used for trip planning on the route tab. My RER station is Joinville-le-Pont. This station is not in the stations list. The last station on the line, Boissy-Saint-Leger, is in the database so that is what I used as a workaround, and ignored the travel time feature. I don't think you could use this workaround on one of the unusual lines like RER-D. It should be easy for the author to add the very few missing stations to make this app truly complete. Of course, if you are a tourist, only using RATP exclusively inside Paris city limits, this limitation won't apply to you. Those stations are all there. Well worth the price.

An absolute MUST HAVE. If u are going to Paris and want to take the Métro, this is an absolute must have. It's very easy to navigate.

WHEN YOU SCROLL YOUR SAVED FAVORITES IT CRASHES. Called this to developers attention. To date crashing issue still not fixed. If going to your stored favorites is important to you, wait till they fix this problem before you purchase.

Difficult user experience. I purchased this app for use in Paris. While the metro comes part of the app, you have to purchase for $0.99 the bus map. Howerver you cannot search with bus stations which makes the option useless. All metro stations give you free metro/RER/Bus maps with an index. So I was hoping the app will help you locate and route with the bus, which does not work practically. Also, when the app finds you a route I also purchased their leisure POI Set (velib, wifi, taxi, etc...). But it does not work either on the map. So after spending $3, the app is basically not worth more than the initial 0.99. Another free app on the app store seems to provide the same level of service for free. The app idea is interesting but need serious revamp.

Very helpful. Just returned from 10 days in Paris and used this app multiple times every day. Very helpful and it made navigating the metro very easy. It would have been nice if the end stations were listed on the suggested route, as these are what are listed at the stations to identify which direction on the line you need to be on. You can easily figure this out by asking the program to display the route on the map, but it would save a few steps to just list it on the first page. Also, there were a few quirks- the program would sometimes list a different return route from the route initially suggested for arrival. Never could figure out why. I highly recommend this program despite the above comments. It made travel very easy. We felt very confident travelling and were never lost. As an aside, the Paris metro was an excellent system. We never waited more than 5 min for a train, most trains were not crowded, and we used it to get everywhere including the airport.

Great, Works like a charm. I just finished a three week trip to Paris. I was located about 30 miles outside of Paris and had to use the RER trains to get into Paris. This app. worked every time. Once when I was at the wrong train station and had to get to the right one I was able to make it in 15 minutes. The locals gave me directions, but this program was easier to program and I was able to follow it, vs the local directions, and ended saving 3 minutes. Loved it. Would HIGHLY recommend it if you are going to Paris.

The Best Metro & Travel Map for Paris!. Visited Paris for 8 days last week from the states. I hadn't been on the Paris Metro in over 10 years and really didn't know what lines went where. I had 2 other Metro maps that pale in comparison to this application. It rocks! I simply love that you can use the GPS function to find the closests Metro or RER station which links to Google Maps to direct you step by step to the location station. Love the built-in metro and RER maps which are detailed and easy to scroll (RER could be done a bit better however). The Route function was the most useful function for us which allowed us to get from Point A to Point B. The directions told you which line to take, and in which direction, where to transfer, and where to get off. You can display this in word descriptions or pull up an "on the map" format which overlays your route on the metro lines. And about all those 5 star ratings? I'd make it 6 if I could. Love this app!. Three years ago, my husband and I came to Paris. We used our laptop for researching and a nice laminated folding map for navigation around the city. To simply plan a trip to dinner or for sight seeing would take 20 minutes - to search for the closest metro stops and connections. With this app, that 20 minutes of work is reduced to 5 seconds! It is so easy to use, and does not require internet connection, which is helpful for my US phone plan in Paris. I highly recommend this application for anyone who has to use the Paris metro.

won't help you find nearest metro station if you are walking. uses I found I needed in paris were: 1. where is nearest metro station (while walking), 2. what is metro station nearest to where I want to walk, 3. how do I connect between them once I'm in the station. this allows you to do #3 but is no help at #1 or #3 because there is no gps function to show me where I am when looking for the station and there is no superimposed map of the streets and sights so I can see where I want to end up the map they provide is the same one that the metro gives for free and the paper map is better because you can see the whole map at once I used the apple built in app for locating the nearest metro stop to me and to my goal and the paper map for planning the connections between JRF

You can't go wrong with this!. This application is marvelously constructed. The maps can be stretched or zoomed out for the level of detail desired and if you don't want to spend time looking at the maps in the subway, you can put in your location and your destination and it calculates a route. Route settings include least transfers, least stops, and best overall route. You can follow with simple instructions (pictured above) or follow your progress on the map stop by stop. This truly is a wonderful guide. The only thing that would make this application better would be the option to pick your own route and then follow along on screen with said chosen route.

A must have in Paris. My wife and I used this app on a recent Paris trip, and it was the first thing we pulled out each day. If you want to get from point A on a subway map to point B, this app does all the work for you. That said, there is one HUGE improvement the developer could add. When you're rushing though tunnels trying to catch the next train, you need to know not only the correct line, but the name of the station at the end of the line (to make sure you're going to right direction). The name of the end of the line could show up in parentheses in the route section like "Take Line 4. (Porte D' Orleans). Without this we were constantly looking for a wall map to confirm which tunnel to take that would route us to the appropriate side of the track. That said, this app is definitely worth it if you're taking a trip to Paris.

Indispensible. This was the most valuable app I had when in Paris. The "Route" function was by far the most useful and quite accurate. I believe it saved me a few hours of planning and possibly more in errors. Pity the points of interest function is not included, but otherwise highly recommended if you're going to rely on the Metro and RER. The "augmented reality" (directions to the nearest stations) works fairly well. I didn't have a 3G connection yet it was still the most useful Paris app I had. Unlike another reviewer, I found that the search function worked perfectly - searching "alma" found Pont de l'Alma. Combined with offline maps in OpenMaps, and Western Europe TomTom I had a great experience.
