Love app, but.... I would like the food database to be more robust! Not up to snuff compared to some other apps like “Lose It”. Moreover, i haven’t been able to input recipes. Maybe haven’t tried hard enough because of so many other foods lacking, as above. Most importantly to me; exercise is useless because I cannot input manually! I recumbent bike in the winter & will swim a lot in the summer. Program seems useless for indoor biking & obviously limited in swimming! But, I’d love to track exercise on BP & BS in the app.

Love Glucose Buddy!. For now, I am only using the glucose recording function of this app because I use another app that tracks everything else. I love that it keeps track of my averages for me. It keeps me in line better when I not only have to test my blood sugar, but then I have to enter it into glucose buddy – – makes it more realistic than just looking at the number on my meter and turning it off. I highly recommend getting this app.

GB Improvements. Great App, simple and easy to use, great way to keep track of blood sugar readings in an easily understandably format. Plus can email results directly to Dr, cutting down on time consuming expensive visits. Only two things keeps it from a Five Star Rating, wish would add capability for two separate accounts, so could keep track of my wife's readings all in one App, and it's a small nitpicking thing, wish you would add another "Fasting" category with it's own color. My Dr is mainly interested in my "Fasting" readings, and I can only list "Out of Bed" or "Before Breakfast", which show up with the same colors as "Other" or "Before Meals", causing some confusion and time consuming research to separate them. Add those capabilities, and you've really got a winner.

Erased my previous review…?. Love this app, it does wonders in helping me keep track of my carbs and insulin intake. Combined with counting my carbs, there’s a huge improvement in my glucose readings. I’ve been using it for about 3+ years now. With regards to the update, I don’t like the fact that the app seems to remind me every hour to check my glucose. Checking my glucose every hour isn’t necessary, as I follow a strict regime when it comes to checking and/or eating. I don’t want the app to constantly remind me to log my glucose when I have a specific time that I check them anyway. I hope they fix this soon!

Apple Watch not compatible :’(. I have just one want from this awesome app, is if I can also log my glucose numbers on my Apple Watch. I test about 8 times per day, sometimes more, sometimes less...before & after sleep, before meals & snacks, plus the endlessly annoying corrections. I was very disappointed a year ago when it wasn’t compatible with the Apple Watch, that’s whenI started to use this app. I have been waiting patiently, even tried out about 10 other apps that were compatible with the Apple Watch, but I found myself more well matched with the Glucose Buddy, I just love this app so much. Thank you! As a Type 1, I often go low & it’s more convenient if I can worry about 1 less responsibility if I can quickly log on my Apple Watch 🙏🏻🍎⌚️ :)

More than I need or want. I’ve used this app for quite awhile. It had a straightforward interface and feature set. The recent major upgrade of this app brought with it a lot of additional features, a major overhaul of the UI and sharing functionalities. All I need is an app that lets me record my blood glucose. I can’t imagine why I would ever share that with anyone! I don’t find the new overcomplicated UI to be an improvement either. The continued pop-ups asked how I like the app are really annoying, as are the overemphasized messages complaining that I don’t have location or sharing enabled. So, I’ve switched to an app that is simple and uncluttered with a swollen feature set. Sorry this app got so “improved”.

Glucose Buddy has made a difference in my life.. Over the last two years, I have been using the FreeStyle LibraLink sensor to check my blood sugar. I knew my blood sugar was out of control but did not know how to manage it. In February 2021, I discovered Glucose Buddy. This program has made a huge difference for me. When I started using it my A1 C was 6.6. It is now 6.3. Other benefits are that I have lost weight and my meds have been reduced. ..all from using Glucose Buddy. Overall, I feel so much better. Using this program is easy. It is life changing.

Find something else. This would be a good app. I paid for the full version about a year ago. They made some improvements after making some errors. But STOP trying to sell me stuff. I paid for the app! The latest round of trying to sell me something with a button that sits in front of everything else and doesn’t go away and won’t allow you to simply reject their selling attempt is absolutely ridiculous. Not only is it annoying that it’s right in FYI t of you but it’s located right where your thumb would enter information so inadvertently you click it. THEN everyday it has a message asking if you want to continue reading!! I didn’t want it in the first place and I’m so sick and tired of the annoying button I’m going to a different app.

Love this app!. I never gave a crap about my diabetes until I lost both of my parents at the age of 51. They both were diabetic and although that wasn’t necessarily the cause of their death as my dad had cancer and my mom had an upper GI bleed along with other issues it certainly did not help. My A1C was out of control at 10.2! Here I was downing mountain dews and never checking my sugar eating whatever I wanted. I gave up sodas, and fast food but finally have started checking my sugar as well. My endocrinologist has requested that I check my sugar randomly throughout the day and keep a record... well it has finally happened because of this app! 💕

App has problems. I’m in my second year as a premium subscriber. At some point I lost access to the premium functions. It still shows I’m subscribed but I can’t do reports or see my a1c estimate. Contacting customer support is not easy as I’ve been met with links going to non-existent pages or customer contact pages that don’t work. UPDATE: Jennifer solved the problem. Premium features are now working. Thanks Jennifer!!

One Stop Shopping, Kinda. 2 days in and great app so far. I’m a visual person so graphs and images resonate and sometimes inspire me. I love Integrated tracking of medicine, blood pressure, nutrition (haven’t used this yet but awesome that it’s here), and exercise tracking. I am disappointed that my 2 main activities are not listed; Crossfit and Martial Arts (specifically Filipino Martial Arts). I am also disappointed that there is no way to integrate a heart rate monitor for real time tracking during exercise. Otherwise this is one of the best apps for diabetes tracking I’ve seen. One stop health tracking is where it’s at! Keep up the awesome work.

This app was great. I loved this app before they changed to the subscription model a few months back. There are so many things you used to be able to do that aren’t available, even small things like using a custom label instead of before/after a meal. And now in order to share your graphs with your doctor you can only go back two weeks and you have to print it out vs email it. It’s a real shame not to be able to afford an app that used to be an asset to my medical care. I would have been able to use this app had there been a one time purchase price, but I can’t justify adding another monthly automatic charge just to log my glucose levels. I used to hype this app to everyone I knew with diabetes. Even my doctor was impressed, although I had to explain what happened when I could no longer send her my full detailed data via the health portal. Now I tell everyone about the app, explain how the developers forced a subscription model on users, and use it as an example of how patients suffer when profiting from their diseases becomes the goal. I wish I had never trusted this developer with my data. Now it’s locked away and I had to start over again with another app.

Almost there. I used the program be for I purchased the premium versions. Price and features almost caused me to abandon this series. It is very pricey but the premium features are good. It is a complete program and record keeper. There needs to be a better free version and the pricing structure versus features/functions ratio. However it is still one of the most complete system on the market, but more interoperability people be nice.

Difficult to receive support. I was initially excited to have this app because it seemed to have it all! Exercise log, data sync, nutrition, weight management, etc. I was most excited to have the ability to sync my Dexcom! I made the premium purchase and.... have yet to have my Dexcom sync. I have tried several times and nothing each time. I attempted to find support for this issue. Stuff happens right? I attempted to get support through the app and revive an error via that way and then tried via the website and am prompted to purchase or have two weeks free of another application in order to receive support for it. I have tried several times to receive support and I have not been able to do so. It has rendered the application and premium purchase completely useless to me.

Still Ads and No Support. Not even counting the limitations on adding meals. Paid for ad free version to use, one year. Constantly get a pop up asking me if I want to purchase the app for a discount for a limited time that then disappears shortly after. Trying to add A1C to average, but apparently there is no support. When I try to access support from app it asks me to try something else for free it takes me to a sales force site where I can pay for something? Did they mess up a plug in for their app and it’s for their company or what happened? Try to access support from App Store and it takes me to a site saying it’s not found. Going to find alternative and cancel subscription. TLDR - Still ads even though I paid for full version, only time I needed support in years and there is no help or support and site errors.

Lacks information. I really want to use this app for the information that I want to keep track of, but the time of recording is wrong most of the time. I purchased a years subscription and not sure that the subscription is worth it. I am not able to see all the “view” information, like sugars etc. this is what I’m tracking, besides carbs, but can’t view that other info. The only thing it shows on the tracker is carbs, as far as food is concerned. I feel that it needs improvement for the cost of it.

Better than My Plate. I understand that the Live Strong My Plate app has a different purpose and it served me well. I lost 70 pounds using it. But it does little to nothing to aid with diabetes control. I like how GB works, for the most part. I am educating myself other ways too, but I consider the app a must have. I bought the upgrade and am a few meals away from a report. I’d like to see a community or user group section for support. That and some other minor things prevent a five star rating. I give it a 4.1.

Mostly good, but a very annoying “feature”. Every couple of days, it asks if is use the same dosage every time for my insulin. Every time I say “no”. It doesn’t ever remember and asks again. I change my dosage depending on my blood sugar, and while I sometimes have 2 or 3 days of the same, it is not an all the time the same thing. If it were, I would not need an ap to track it! Please just stop!

There is a Big Difference Between Paying for Something of that is Well Made & Being Extorted. I couldn’t agree with MommaHippi more. This app used to be something special. Something I would have paid for because it was worth it back then. But I wasn’t asked. I wasn’t warned. The app was just suddenly changed, and I discovered that if I wanted my information I would be charged a substantially large fee for it. I’ve given the new app a chance, but find myself becoming upset when I try to use it. Now it’s just like all the other apps that do the same thing - but the interface is ugly and confusing. Developers do this to themselves and their customers a lot these days. It must be profitable. I’m going back to paper and pencil. PS - I don’t recall my user name being “usually pretty frazzled”.

Glucose Buddy. I found this app a few months ago & immediately loved it. There’s never been an issue with ads even with the free version. I love that it doesn’t bombard you with ads especially when so many other apps do. You have lots of options when logging your sugars, carbs, etc. I’m type one diabetic & this app has been a game changer. I used to have to write down every single detail & if you’re diabetic, you know how time consuming that is. When I had my Dexcom, it even linked up to it. I absolutely love this app & would 10/10 recommend especially for diabetics!

LOVE this App!. We recently went back to injections after being on a pump for 7 years. I had forgotten how much info there is to keep track of when you’re doing it without technology! We tried a different app and hated it. Love this one because of the reports, they help me see trends without having to use a CGM, that I can add all her different meds and track her glucose, carb intake, activity and insulin usage. The only thing that could possibly make this better would be if I could enter her ratios for figuring her insulin and correction factor.

Sorry, but it does too much.. I’m leaving Glucose Buddy because it has become a hovering nanny that needs to be paid to leave me alone to simply record my blood sugar. I brought my levels down for two years, but an illness and steroids shot it back up. I need to track for at least a month - just glucose, not food, exercise, contact friends, post on social media - and this hovering/selfie-ad infested app just doesn’t do it. If a nanny is needed, this app will fill the bill and for just a few dollars a month all the things I don’t need/want are available.

Questionable A1c calculated values. I have used Glucose Buddy for many years. The calculated value fir A1c has always been within 1 or tenths of actual lab readings. The last lab test (Wednesday) showed a whole 2 points difference between Glucose Buddy and the lab result. Lab result higher by 2 whole points. Thought I was doing well, until the lab test.i checked the logs, do not see any data entry errors causing tge difference. Can no longer trust the App.

Dislike the update!. The old version was simple, I loved it. The newest update is totally different and now I'm looking for a new app in which to log my daily glucose levels. I don't want all the "extras" plus for some reason I'm unable to receive log reports sent to any of my email accounts. I agree with every other negative review regarding the recent update. This went from a 5 star to a 1 star overnight.

Glitch. I have my ReliOn Premium BLU meter linked to my app. The time settings are correct in the app and on my iPhone, yet when ever I take a reading, it transmits via Bluetooth with a time stamp 6 hours earlier than the actual time. I have to manually correct the time for every reading I take. Very frustrating. When I tried to report the issue on the app an error pops up saying that it can’t send emails and to check my settings. So I am having a hard time getting any support. Does anyone know of another app that I can link my meter to and also record daily medication and things like weight, diet? I’m open to suggestions. Thanks.

Medication Frequency and Can’t Pair Dexcom G6. It would be helpful if you could add weekly to the frequency for medication. I have two diabetic medications that are taken weekly, not once or more per day. I’ve tried multiple times to pair my Dexcom with Glucose Buddy only to become increasingly frustrated. The app says it pairs easily with CGMs, so I’m not sure what the issue is. I’ve followed Glucose Buddy’s self help to no avail. When I select Dexcom in Glucose Buddy’s app I receive the following error, including after following the “helpful tips”, “ The client application is not known or is not authorized.” Part of the appeal of Glucose Buddy was that I could sync my Dexcom. My Dexcom is synced with Health, but Health only updates my Dexcom data every three hours. Posting my glucose every three hours is ineffective and minimizes the usefulness of Glucose Buddy.

Great App!!!. I started using this app in February 2019. My A1C at the time was 8.6 and my proteins were over 600. I started tracking everything with this app and A1C is 6.8, protein is at 30, and I have lost 30 pounds. I went from 55 units of insulin to 30. Saw my Dr yesterday and she said drop to 25 units. When I go to the Dr. she can see all me glucose readings for the month. I love that with a few clicks she can see blood pressure readings, steps, or anything else this app tracks. I recommend this app to everyone I meet with diabetes. It was well worth the money!!

People are funny - especially me!. I really like this app. I loved the old insights and when it was updated I was mad. Couldn't stand the new insights. So they put the old one back because I’m guessing many others breathed fire and brimstone on the development team. Well now after reverting, I think I preferred the new interface! Maybe adding the older charting to the new interface as an extra would resolve many issues. I wonder how many people actually experienced this change. Anyway. Thumbs up to the development team.

Pretty good app but it has its problems. After using the app for a few months I have enjoyed all it can do but after reading the reviews of what they app could do compared to what it cannot do now is a big change. My one problem that I cannot seem to solve is my weight number in the app does not transfer into the apple health app like the other measurements. When will this be fixed? Also why can’t I see my calculated A1c? I had to download a second app to have that feature.

Works well!. I really like Glucose Buddy, I paid the $40 for the annual membership and it’s worth it. I don’t know where people are getting $40 a month. I didn’t pay for the coaching or nutrition plan. With that being said, the only thing I don’t like about it is that is doesn’t show in the daily list is the color difference in your blood sugar readings. It lists the number but not if it’s low or high. I can live with that though. Today when my membership payment went through I got an SSL error. It said it wasn’t syncing with the server. I logged out and it said activate your purchase before logging in. I clicked ok, then tried to log in. I got an error that said it can’t establish a secure connection to the server and won’t let me log in now... HELP!!!!

Good for me.. Glucose buddy works good for me. I do have an issue when trying to put in two slices of bread or two eggs, sometimes it will glitch and I have to go out. And then end up putting the bread in twice in the eggs in twice. Not a big deal, but a glitch in the program. I love the ability to scan barcodes. Best way to input data.

Ads make it worthless. The app has a lot of decent features. The interface is cluttered to the point it’s hard to use and hard to find things. The reporting aspect of the app is poorly done, and that’s the most important part. In the free version, the ads after a day become so obnoxious that it’s fundamentally unusable. Full screen ads with the volume forced to 100% that offends everyone in the room. If you purchase this app you are funding a company that cares about monetizing the app far more than providing a good user experience. A premium subscription is VERY expensive, and honestly provides only a few real benefits, outside of removing the ads. I will look at EVERY alternative in the App Store before I feed this marketing tactic. There is a “plus” version with a one time app purchase that likely removes some ads, but there is no clear statement of any difference so the only way to know is to buy it and find out. If you read enough review responses, you will learn if you buy that version you simply get another nagging form of encouragement to buy the expensive subscription. What this app provides is worth no where close to what the premium version provides.

I Used To Love This App. I have used Glucose Buddy for several years and loved it! It was so helpful to me, that I shared it with my diabetic health care team, in hopes they could let other patients no how it helped me. That is no longer the case! Version 5 of Glucose Buddy was released during the fall of 2017 and the App (in my opinion) was ruined. First, the data entry screen no longer fits on the screen of my mobile device. Some of the selections are barely visible. Second are the incessant and annoying pop-up ads that make viewing the App’s screens very difficult. Finally are the high pressure ads to subscribe to the premium version of Glucose Buddy for a fee of $60 per year. Many of the most helpful features of Glucose Buddy are only available with a premium subscription, which I’m unwilling to pay. If you ignore the reviews of the pre-version 5 Glucose Buddy you can see the ratings drop from 4 & 5 stars to 1, 2 & 3 stars. (check for your self) I can no longer recommend Glucose Buddy to others.

Simple and well worth it. I have never written a review before for an app. I held out on paying for the upgraded price because $ you know, but it got a bit hard using multiple free apps to track health things. I tried several extensively and while others may look more fun, this app does what I need it to do. It’s very easy using the app to track the things I need. If I want to track more things it has the capability. I can track less if I want. I don’t like having to track but this app makes it easier.

Disappointed as well. I too was a fan of the previous version of this app. Screen design aside, I feel uneasy storing all my medical information in their cloud (if Experion can be hacked, their cloud would be child’s play) ! I see no reason readings can’t be stored locally and reported from there. I also dislike the idea of “socializing” my health status. The apps functionality for doing that is completely unnecessary. With the previous version I liked being able to log my activity/exercise “category” free form. My exercise activities don’t fit in their discrete list of categories so I have no accurate way to log them.

Feedback Review because Support Page “Not Found” through link. 1. My steps do not sync with my watch and are off by over 1,200-1,500 everyday. The rest syncs perfectly. 2. Quick Add will not allow me to enter Carbs nor will it allow me to save without adding Carbs. For example I had black coffee that couldn’t be found in the Search. I opted for Quick Add and manually entered the information. It was 0 carbs per the info online (barcode unavailable). I entered 0. I went to save and an error popped up to enter carbs. I entered 0 again. Same message. I tried entering 1 to move on and it would not allow me to enter any number other than the 0 that was not accepted either.

Confusing interface. The app really pushes upgrading to premium, to the max! I tried it but deleted it after struggling inputting information and then looking for food information. The records are not completely editable. There is no way to select food types and get your nutritional information. It says take a photo. Are you kidding me? I know what I ate! The app pushes a lot of costly educational materials. If I was new to diabetes I would be sucked in. But I am not. Just need a simple application to track sugar, meds, and meals in a understandable less then 100 page report for my doctor. What doctor has time to look at a huge daily report that it generates? To much useless add-ones. Deleted it after trying it two times.

Premium version still includes ads. I would have given this app 5 stars if it only tracked my numbers. But it constantly nags you to add additional services to your account, and continues to throw ads in your face. I’ve used the app for the past 3 years and I’m getting more and more annoyed with it. I don’t remember exactly what it costs, something like $30 per year. But for that kind of money, you would think that you would receive an ad free version. Today it wanted to sell me a scale.

Awesome App. A loved ones A1C was out of control so I loaded this app on his phone as a device for him to track his carbs but this app is so much more. He can log his activity and it tells him his caloric intake and output. With subscription it tracks his A1C levels which is what we need in this critical time. This app keeps it organized-all in one app. I joined as support to cheer him on and can see his progress as a friend. I highly recommend. Great motivational tool.

Not easy to use, weird ad blocking screen. I’m not sure how this has gotten such good reviews! From the very beginning, there was a lot of pressure to “upgrade“, with even a warning of it this will be the “only time” I can upgrade, with a full screen countdown clock? 10,9,8...what? Of course I said no, and it ends up that the features they were trying to get me to pay for, are already on the app such as your A-1 C average level? I wanted to enter previous data from the last month but that became too difficult in this app. When you are entering the information, they have a tag that you can say before breakfast or before lunch etc. but then they don’t have a separate area to add food. Even though I might be entering my fasting blood sugar level, they make you add the food on that page? So in that entry you have to look hard to understand that I ate that breakfast AFTER I took my level. Also after entering about four numbers, this ad began to block the view and then when you click the X to close it, it would open it. That happened a few times, and I quickly deleted the app!!! Never had anything like this on an app!

Pricey Subscription for Features that Lock Up. Overall, this app is crucial to me for tracking foods and blood glucose. The issues, though are frustrating. I find the app locking up in various features. I chose to pay for the monthly subscription so that I could utilize more tools that would benefit me most (more recipes instead of maximum of 5, quick add foods, filter searching). I am disappointed by the number of bugs that freeze the app, namely attempting to filter my Log to only display Blood Glucose. Considering I paid specifically hoping to use that feature, I would like to be able to use it!!!

OK but user interface is terrible. The app is great overall. They use a data collection strategy to get users hooked on the practicality of the product. Then when you try to use advanced features or download the data you entered, you have to pay for it. So I guess that works pretty well for them... Then there’s the user interface, with “features” such as clicking on one item (food) to enter some data, but SURPRISE, when you searched and clicked on hummus, you are now entering carbs for cereal bars. Note, this is what they call in developer land “a UI error to be fixed in beta testing”. But oh well, once you navigate around the other “nuances” the thing works pretty well I guess. Much better than comparable products, but please pay your dev team, QA their work and give them and the UX UI designers time to get it right.

Glucose tracking. I’m 70 years old and pre-diabetic I liked the old app better. Very simple for my needs. I do not carry my phone 24/7 so my steps thru out the day do not calculate. I have a ZAAZ machine and this app does not count those steps I accumulate when on the machine. So accuracy is way off. Wish it would register those steps. Still learning how to do the rest. Thank you for your app and helping me keep track of my blood sugars. It sure helps when I go to the doctor. Mahalo

Very handy app :). I do actually love this app. Makes it easy to remember and store blood sugars and spot trends in highs and lows. My only cons are relatively minor. I do wish the tracker on the home screen was easier to read. It uses larger and smaller circles overlapping at times... just a little difficult to interpret. Also wish it allowed for different 24hr cycles. As a night shifter my day starts later than most and midnight is my mid day. Makes it harder to track for daily regulation. So I rate 4/5 for this. Still a very useful app.

Great app — no bugs. I’ve been using the app for over a year and haven’t had any major issues with it. It’s stable and helpful. I do wish it provided more analytical data capability, but it is good for tracking carbs it even recognizes food when you take a picture. It has recognized every barcoded item I’ve tried and lets you reuse items you’ve already scanned and even input your own recipes. It can always use more enhancements like the data analyzing capability I mentioned and a better recipe building capability and salad or sandwich building capability.

Great app but…. I love this app. I have Type 2 so I use it to log blood glucose, weight, & blood pressure. I love that it writes back to the Apple Health app EXCEPT that it doesn’t write back my blood pressure readings. I have other health issues and this was the only app I could find where I could record everything in one place. Please update so it writes back blood pressure readings. Food logging needs to be more user friendly. I wish you had a data base already available instead of having to add everything manually. But, my main issue is the blood pressure not writing back to the Apple Health app like all the other logs.

Not a useful app for the high price. Expensive subscription. Must pay to see what the app really offers. Why pay if I don’t know what I am paying for? What I see in the free app sure isn’t encouraging. No Fitbit integration. No iOS activity tracking either bc no settings to enable the app to track motion or location - even though the app displays a message telling me I need to enable these settings. Activity is critical to diabetes management. Do not pay for any app that doesn’t do this well. Graphs are ok but not insightful. Then there’s the doozie of “they don’t get it”: a page that displays a number... 384. Ok, I figured out that it is the average of two diabetes meds (measured in mg) and two types of insulin (measured in standard insulin units, not mg)! Additionally, Oral meds and basal insulin doses change infrequently. Bolus is volatile, driven by carbs and that activity the app cannot track. Ask your doctor what the average of these four numbers in unrelated units of measure tells you about your diabetes treatment... Then delete this app and look for a different one.

Exercise Tracker Needs More Realistic Flexibility (EDITED). (This was a 3-star review that I forgot to hit send on, back when the app worked ok) I find the logging very useful. My only issues are that the exercise categories are too rigid (e.g. no stationary or elliptical bike). Also, when using the GPS-based step tracker, even if you pause it, it continues to tally your distance as if you’re still moving. So all you can do is completely end your session. There needs to be a better more reliable resuming feature. (Cut to now) First, it’s been 5 months since the last update, and that may be the one causing all the current headaches! Now, the app has become unreliable using auto exercise mode. It crashes randomly while being used, if you luck out and complete your walk it will simply shut down for no reason. There’s clearly a bug that went into the last update and since it’s been so long, you have to wonder if the app itself is EOL. Thus, the 1-star rating; someone fell asleep at the wheel.

GB. The only downside to this app is that the suggested A1c was 10 points off what my actual A1c was, unless you are constantly monitoring it, it’s not going to be accurate so I’d recommend that be removed. Otherwise this app makes it easy to track , I use 2 different meters so this pulls it all into one spot. Like that you can add pictures and notes Please add a blood pressure line too!!?

This is great!. I have been using the app for over 2yrs. I love it, I enter my weight my height, my medication that I take on a daily basis the food that I eat for breakfast lunch dinner even a snack it helps me to keep track of my A-1 C if needed. It works great with Dexcom 6. I wish there it would work even better with Dexcom 7 in the future but I left this app and tried another one but I came back to this app. It works the best, for me.

Very good app. Very simple, yet powerful! I loved it, it was very useful for me when I had gestational diabetes. I used the extracted data for my own graphs, and my doctor was amazed.

Glucose buddy. Invaluable and excellent utility specially as I travel a lot and always have my phone with me. No more post-it notes going missing :-)

Good basic app. Good for monitoring sugar levels but I don't bother with other functions. Ads dont interfere with use and are fairly subtle. A reminder option would be great to help with remembering to check levels. Haven't encountered any bugs. Yeah, the graph is basic. Can't work out why I need to sync to a database so haven't bothered with that. Overall it's great for my simple needs.

History is gone. You’ve lost all my history, years worth. Nice work guys. Blah.

Diabetes Buddy Well Done. The glucose buddy program enables convenient recording of sugar levels, food eaten & insulin taken. I have found no better control at present but I will persevere for awhile.

Down Hill. This app has gone downhill since the last update as they now want to charge for graph views. Disappointed. Will now have to uninstall a look elsewhere.

Steerer101. Great app to use for managing diabetes would recommend

Fantastic. This is a very good app that is easy to use and is constantly being improved. It is the best Diabetes logging app I have tried. The developer is quick to make suggested additions and support is swift as well. I highly recomend it.

Shocking upgrade. Glucose buddy has been my recorder of choice for nearly 10 years. Had the Pro version. Suddenly stopped updating without notice. Used app to send support request and got no response. Latest update is a complete disaster. Almost no usable area left on the screen (iPhone 4s). Parts blocked by pointless orange message saying location services are off (so what) Can't get any graphs. The menu for adding a new log entry looks pretty but parts of it are off the screen; have to guess what the icons are. The pro version is now by subscription instead of the one-time purchase I had been using. I now have to find a replacement app the just simply captures BGLs and BP. Very disappointed at needing to change.

A review. It may not be able to see every food but still really good 😎😎😎😃😀😀😀😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Brilliant. Very handy. Would be good to have a tabular way to read down to see a summary of all bg readings easily for each event eg before breakfast, before lunch, before dinner. This would be helpfully to identify bg trends at time of day.

Geof Barrington. This app looks really good but I found this way too complicated to use and there are no proper instructions. I wanted it as an alternative to ibgstar which has been discontinued and can’t be downloaded to my new phone. Disappointing.

Pretty good. I love using this app, it's much easier than carrying my record book around. However, I'm not sure what the reasoning behind knowing my glucometer is, but, mine is not listed! I have a MediSense Optium Xceed and there are no MediSense monitors in the list at all! Also, the controls are a bit fiddly to get used to. But, that could just be because I am not used to it yet. Maybe, if it can somehow automatically have the most likely time record, then you can adjust it? Seeing as it comes up with the exact time, maybe that would work? For instance, it is sometime between noon and 2pm, the scroll on the left would automatically be at lunch. Then, it is just a matter of leaving it there, or moving it a couple of clicks to whatever it should be. I don't know if that would be possible, but, it would stop me from always putting everything in as out of bed when I'm in a rush! Great app though! Really useful!

Great app. I’ve found that this is a great app to use and I love the take note feature

Pretty good. looks useful. I like the fact it includes activity and mmol/l. I am going to use it for a while and see how it goes. there seems to be a bit of a bug in viewing the logs. It looks like you can see just Glucose or Activity etc by clicking on the relevant button above but it doesn't always work like that. Would like a spot to record other blood tests such as Hb1ac and cholesterol.

Dangerous, buggy, annoying. This app does NOT integrate with Dexcom in any way. The connection screen shows that Dexcom has disabled their relationship or that it never existed. The app has some serious validation issues that make it extremely unlikely it is competent and regulated to connect to the named blood test meters, or anything else. The app hits you with 5 very expensive upsells before you even have a chance to use it. Uninstalled and moved on

Extremely Beneficial. As a type 2 diabetic who is on an extreme diet control program this app in particular the graph functionality is inspiring me to continue with my 600cal per day meal replacement program during which my blood fasting morning BGL have gone from 13.3 to 5.4 in 3 weeks. The only problem has been setting my GB account so I can share my results. Otherwise a very supportive diabetes control app.

Milan. It's good to have

Absolutely essential.. To be able to enter the data gives me a better opportunity to discuss progressively with all trying to assist me with better control of diabetes. I'm really happy with it. Even my endocrinologist was impressed with it.

Better than expected . . .. This is the second app I have tried for Diabetes records - the first I paid for . . . hmmm . . . anyhow this has some easy to use nice features - would like it to be able to record prescribed tablets under medications (and not just insulin)

Needs improving. I need to send my BG readings to my doctor via email and this app doesn't have that ability. Also it needs to be able to work In metric as well as imperial for the food intake section. Other than that it does what other apps do.

Glucose Buddy. Such a great app! Simple, easy, fast & efficient. I've never been good at recording my BS in the diary. This app makes it so easy especially when your busy. Even doctors impressed by the app!!

Worst updated version. The updated version is dreadful. Very very poor thinking by the developper. I am not going to ask my patients to use this anymore. It used to such a brilliant app. All ruined. See below my my previous comment. Gone now. Hate it. I am an Endocrinologist from Australia. Most if my Diabetic patients are using this. It is very user friendly. My Gestational Diabetic ladies love this. It is so convenient for them to do biweekly or weekly email of their glucose logs to me for review. My only negative feedback is glucose log visualisation in an excel format is quite clumsy. It would have been better to see them on multiple columns or rows (e.g. column of fasting or post pradial glucose etc)

A few more tweaks to make it perfect. This is the best diabetes monitoring/recording app I have used. It keeps getting better and better. One huge improvement that it needs though is the ability to enter food values in Kilojoules instead of calories. Outside of the USA most countries don't use calories and it is a pain to have to convert it manually before entering the data for every food item (divide by 4.186). Otherwise it is great.

ktbx. glucose buddy is the best solution I have found so far to recording diabetes data. i appreciate the ease of which I can log bgls, food and insulin doses. I also find the alarms very useful.

Brilliant App, Got me back on track!. This app is so user friendly and makes managing diabetes so easy! As a Type 1 diabetic with what would be compared to many as "uncontrolled" management, and as a young adult, it has been a real struggle to keep it on track. After being told that I would become hospitalized permanently if I didn't manage my condition better, I was determined to find a way that worked for a young busy adult. This Glucose Buddy is just that; Easy to use and efficient. I especially love the quick export of data via email or the website as it makes getting figures to my specialist so much easier! I hope this will help people as much as it has for me :)

Glucose Buddy. Very useful tool. Great syn features and web access. Only problem is the iPhone app doesn't allow decimal point entry only whole number.

I'd be lost without my buddy. This is great app for keeping track of blood sugar levels, I take it to the Docs with me along with my graphs and it really helps explain my sugar readings. Never had an issue with it and use it everyday. My favorite app.

Extremely Dissatisfied. I purchased this app 3 years ago and since the last upgrade I am being bombarded by ads. I paid for the app to not get ads! I can’t get a graph like I used to unless I now pay more money. Come on guys, lift your game!

Useful with solid potential. I use this many times a day. It's easy to use but could benefit from some tweaks. I think the food items need to be able to be broken down into subcategories.

Glucose units. I like the app but it would be better if I didn’t have to set the glucose units each time. It always reverts to mg

.. A pretty good app and I use it twice a day. My doctor looked this app and said it would be good to drill down on a daily basis for the reports which include averages, otherwise its a very useful app!

Mostly fab!. This is a great app. It makes tracking bsls easy. I'd like it even better if I could make multiple log entries (bsl, food, insulin etc) at a given time. It's a pain having to go in and out, saving one thing at a time. Any chance you could fix this?

Great help. Great all in one app. I love it Thank you StevieC

An excellent app. Easy to use very helpful and well organised!

Disappointing. This app is not very user friendly, the graphs are difficult to read. I was in the middle of using the app and a final fantasy xv ad came on which forced me to “play” the game as their was no close button. In the end I had to press the button that took me to the App Store for the game and then close both apps. I understand businesses need ads but not like this. This is the main reason I deleted the app right after that happened. I had downloaded this app and another called mySugr at the same time to try them both and see which I liked better. mySugr is very easy to use my 6 yo son (who has type 1) uses it and enjoys it.

Simple to use.. The app is very simple to use and compares my steps for the day with my Blood Glucose Level

Fantastic !!. I've trialled a few other apps but this one does it all and more. iPhone and Web interfaces with data sync. This app is a keeper and will get used.

Love it. Have used several of these types of apps, this one is the best and I have removed the others off my phone

Great easy app to monitor with. Much easier than recording in books or direct to pc. I don't use the food part at all as it takes too long to enter every meal (it would be good if you don't alter what you eat). The ability to log meds and graph them is great when you start altering doses.

Sputnik. Easy to use and great for sharing information. Graphs could be a bit more detailed and able to be modified though.

Cool Ap. Really love it. No log books to worry about and can easily discuss with the doc'. Because it is easy to update, I tend to refer to it often- the end result is better control! It would be even better if it could wirelessly down load to excel so I could make a paper graph to share with the doctor, and keep a permeant record. The food records are clumsy, gave up on recording the food after 2 days.

Very Helpful. Only just getting into this, and there is so much more to achieve, record and be aware of. Gladly this app supports that process

Keith Smith. This used to be a great app, now it is terrible. New format & layout is no where near as clear. I used to look at the progression graph & was able to see at a glance how my blood glucose was going. Now it is very difficult to tell what is happening. Was 5 star now 1 star. Hate it now.

Couldn’t find out if I like it to many requests for money. After the third time it requested payment while trying to have a look and see how it all worked To many requests for money deleted after third request

Awesome!. I'm a type 1 diabetic that always struggled to stick to the little notebook the hospital gave me to record my insulin and blood sugar levels but this is so efficient and easy I love it!!

Varying graph options needed!. Great app. Would be even better if we had the option to graph BGLs across the day (over a 24hr period) rather than just the high, low and average for each day. That way, I can see when I'm highest throughout the day and maybe adjust my insulin accordingly.

Great for recording my blood glucose. I don't use the other features but love this part. Also love the way it can be emailed. Great app. Thanks

Ruined!. I've used this app for years. This updated version is dreadful. Can't think what you thought this was going to achieve. I don't want all this extra garbage; I just want a clean straightforward way to keep track of my readings. Now I have to find a new app. Thanks a lot!

Perfect used since Aug 11th 2016. Never a single problem in 7years 6mths. Measured my blood sugar add in my food when I want to. Record reasons for spikes. Accurate step count.

Great way to keep track. Great for tracking bg readings and insulin shots. I was trying to enter carbs but that is a bit cumbersome. My only real complaint is the constant barrage of ads trying to get you to update to the paid version.

Great app. This app is great at keeping track of my blood glucose value , it helped me organize my diet and keep track of what i can and cannot eat . Great app

Not bad. Would like to see more detail in the graphing section...

The Best. So far the best app I can find for Canadians! Not only can I log in mmol I can record 2 or more types of insulin for the same time, which seems to be a problem with other apps. I am not the happiest about the readout as it is not the friendliest, but for logging in all the info that I need it is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend this app for any type 1 as a usefull "logbook"

Review. Excellent app, simple way to keep track of glucose levels and maintain a history. Most useful!

Was a Greap App. This update is garbage.. I've used GB for almost 10 years. The graph version was the best. This latest version is useless. I don't have any use for an "average" from my one touch meter with no ability to explain a high or low reading. Change it or I will have to get a different app that meets my needs.

Glucose buddy excellent app. Very easy to use and sync. I was just diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and this app is simple and does the job for tracking my levels.

Amazing App!!. I'm Type II and just started using insulin. I use this app several times a day and it's easy to use. I am rapidly getting control of my BG and this app is invaluable. Thanks. When will see the "testing in pairs" in the Canadian store?

Great app but. The free verson of the app works great. But you can only generate reports weekly. Would be great if I could do the report over all from the beginning. Also the nagging to upgrade to pro is really annoying. I realize you need money for the app but a simple report print out shouldn't cost me money. Other wise very happy with the app.

Works well in Canada too. I was using the US scale at first & it didn't make sense until I attended a Diabetes Clinic. The nurse told me I was using the American one so I wrote all my readings down & switched to mml now everything makes sense & it is an awesome help.

Love the app.... but no longer working. I’ve been using the app for over a year and it’s great. Send reports to my Dr, keeps track of everything. I paid for the upgrade. Now it’s not working at all. I don’t want to delete and reinstall as I’d lose all my data. Can we get this fixed or reverse the update?

Excellent App. Have been looking for easier way than paper and pencil to keep track of my BG level. This is it. Simple and uses Canadian as well as U.S. Units. Gives me the motivation to test regularly, watch my numbers and see any trend on the graph. Great!

Great app, needs an update. I love the app, but the developers need to produce some new features. The app hasn't been updated in nearly 4 years. A weekly and monthly snapshot of BG averages is much more useful to me than an average of every reading ever registered on the app. Those of us making significant lifestyle changes need a function like this so we can get a better before and after picture. Please update! Otherwise, very user friendly and practical.

Too expensive to remove ads. I fell in love with app shortly after I was diagnosed as type 1. I bought the full version for 2.19$ to remove the ads and be able to email records to my doctor, and it's been great up until this recent update. Now the ads are back, and if I wanted to remove the ads and be able to email my current records through the app, I have to spend around 80$/year. In my eyes, it's not worth that kind of money just to have an app to put your glucose, and insulin records.

Very impressed. I am such a critic of apps. Very few do I have or keep. This app is awesome and easy to use. It really helps to easily keep track of blood sugar levels. I am only using the free one but might buy the full version because it's so good.

Glucose Buddy. Awesome App

New version is too pushy. The new version wants always access to your location, cell data, pedometer, etc with no option to disable any of the intrusive BS. I get what the devs are going for with a one stop shop blood glucose, food, activity, etc, app, but i don’t want anything but a glucose tracker without your data mining junk.

Paid Canadian. I paid for this app but it doesn’t recognize my Canadian Dexcom account. 1 star because I have to, until you change this.

Almost 5. Would have given it 5 stars if they would update the app and have it communicate to iHealth. Please do this

Great but missing a few things. It’s great but it needs ability to add more than one pic and ability to log without a blood glucose value.

Let me sign in. Not letting me sign in is not funny, a person doesn’t sign in with there screen name on the webpage, they sign in with their email address and it’s asking for my sign in name On the app

Terrible!. First, you’re a hostage. Cannot email your own medical records without paying for the privilege. Second, the interface is terrible. There are things scattered all over the screen seemingly at randomness. No sense to it, no flow. I thought the graphs in the old version were pretty lame. But now they are certifiably useless. Maybe if I paid the ransom they’d be of some use? Third, you’d better love pop up ads. This thing is full of them. Fourth, know any diabetics with less than perfect eyesight? Those ones should avoid this mess. Tiny font, minimal contrast. So unless you want to spend and keep spending I’d suggest you look elsewhere! This one is a ripoff.

Very useful!. I've been using this app for a week now and I love it. Simple to use with a clean design. I would like to see the various graphs/stats that are available on the website included in the app then it would be 5 stars all the way. Highly recommended!

DO NOT UPDATE!. ALL comments to latest version are negative. The old version was great, this new version is not good Why don't you allow to go back to the one everyone liked?

Glucose Buddy no longer compatible with iOS. I installed this app because it's one of the few that shows Canadian BG readings not just American. But in recent months I'm getting error messages from Apple saying the app is slowing down my iPhone and is no longer compatible with the latest version of iOS. The developer has made no efforts to update Glucose Buddy to ensure it's compatible with iOS. Guess you don't care about your app being used by Apple clients? 😡

Recent changes make app useless. For years I’ve uses this app to quickly keep track of my carbs. I USED to be able to enter nutrition data for a food in “quick add” quickly and easily, and it would add each entry to its database “remembering” that food the next time I looked for it. With the most recent update, this functionality is gone. Now “quick add” no longer “remembers” new entries - It remembers all the old entries, but I can’t make new ones. Instead of, say, “Cobb salad 25g carbs” it now only says “carbs 25g” and you have to enter “cobb salad” in the “additional notes” section. Which means that next time I have a cobb salad, it doesn’t show up in a search because the “additional notes” aren’t searchable. There’s an “add food” button which you would think might do this, but it doesn’t. Not sure what they were thinking, but the whole reason I used this app was that it let me enter foods quickly and easily - and now it doesn’t any more. It’s only convenient now for foods I already entered before they wrecked their app with a very poorly thought out “upgrade” Oh, and the bar code scanner has never actually worked for me. Which didn’t bither me before because it was so easy to enter manually.....

Handy DM management tool. I find this very useful. I would give it 5/5 if they cleaned up the interface to eliminate item overlap when entering logs.

Not bad!. It's quite easy to use. It would be nice to have some kind of visual in the diary part to separate the days from each other. Also, would like more options for the graph, such as setting your own normal range and the high and low range on the left side. Other wise it's a great little app

Does not support reminder alarms.. I have used the Pro for a few years and it was easy to use. I miss a carb counter as it has a big affect on my treatment. Lately I am going to a diabetic clinic for the first time and the time of day to test is now very important. As hard as I try I seldom do it at the exact time. So if you don't need carb counter or reminders, you will like this app. I cannot give it 5 stars because I need the reminders.

Review. I would like to see more Canadian foods on the search engine , other than that it’s a great app

Beware. This company is among those cited whose apps habitually send your private information to Facebook without your knowledge.

S.Nameth. How do I cancel this app??

Worth every penny!. Seriously, it's free, it dies everything you need, gives you the average A1C value when you go online. What more to want? (okay, if it could take my BG and record it, I would pay 1000$ for an app like that LOL)

Verion 3.0. I have to agree with other reviewers. The graph feature was very valuable. Ideally, everything should be on the ITouch. I do not want to log into a web site to see my data. Rating dropped from 5 Star to 3 Star.

A good application. This is a very good application. The comments, charting, emailing features are appreciated. Display can be altered for Canadian units. It would be nice to be able to transmit the comments as well to my email. After looking at other apps, this appeals to me the most.

This App is terrible!. This App is terrible!

Bring Back Graph. I'm echoing similar sentiments about the latest update. I feel the graph was an absolutely essentially feature/tool to help with my management program. Also as mentioned by another reviewer is the fact there is no longer any colour coding to distinguish defined events. Somewhat disappointed in this latest update and am rating it 3 stars.

Great! Very helpful !. Great help keeping my BG level

Sanity Saver. Started using this app when my son was first diagnosed type 1. So handy to keep track of everything and be able to just hand it over to the nursing team.

Pas un bon achat!. Français partiel seulement, recherches des valeurs nutritives des repas laborieuses.

nov 19 09 upgrade is awful. This was a great application until today when it was "improved" First off the start up in the Harbour! I don't want a harbour, I want the app to start in the logs where it always did. When I have blood dripping off my finger I don't want to grope the iPod for the right window to enter my info. AcuCheck invasiveness is horrid too. I agree with others who say that the info should be on the iPod not on the web. I want to control where/how my information is, not at the disposal of hackers or (what an idea!) at the disposal of some health insurance company. The log is also much harder to read than it used to be. All in all, if there was a way to give this new, 'improved', application no stars at all I'd go along with that. I wish I had never updated this one. It's truly awful!

Awesome App. Great App, easy to review your history, in the notes I also put in my exercise information and blood pressure therefore can really see the entire picture.

Poor update. I have used the previous version of this app for over a year and found the interface easy to use. I would rate it a solid 4. Then someone in their infinite wisdom decided to overhaul the whole program. What a mistake. The new interface is difficult to use and traps you in the add that tries to push you into buying the upgrade. Backing out is not easy.looking for a new app now. If they wanted to bring out a new app they should have done so and left the original alone.

Great App. Fantastic App I can forget about my paper log book and E Mail my results to my Doctor prior to my appointment then our time is not wasted going over the numbers in a rush GREAT JOB

Ok BUT and more. They seem to have a relationship with deacon. There are many who use other... Abbott Freestyle Libre ready glucose frequently and has an app that will read them. Obviously this data could be accessed. You would then not have to test and then open up GB and enter the data It’s the age of technology. Come on. If it could I would consider using the full version. Common, does no one read this or feedback ????? Could you please setup food search so you can search by provider please. I search for something. To be accurate and go through page after page after page. Starbucks/Tim Hortons/Sonic etc are all interspersed among hundreds. Please make it easier to log food. Exercise; obviously diabetic but there is nothing related to strength training. I do both cardio & strength but have to make up something. ITS NOT THAT HARD. Pleasr While it’s basics are ok/good 1)- I’m Canadian and it’s Pro is atrociously priced. $49US/year is $65 and if everything else worked well then maybe BUT. Why would I want to pSy that much for something that’s SUPPOSED TO HELP YOU. Now the food function is off the wall painful. Fuzzy search gets you who knows what but seldomly what you want and you scroll through page after page. Should be able to search for both item and supplier to make searching easier. Activities don’t include strength training. Manual entry is painful. Location can’t find some places even if you are there. For something that’s designed to make money, it’s ok but requires intense activity and time to maintain and isn’t supportive to diabetics. I have Abbott FreeStyle Libre but Glucose Buddy won’t read it either by connectivity or link to sensor or through computer connection BUT I believe has affiliations.

Great. Great app to track blood glucose.

Tons of ads. The app is unusable there are so many ads

Works well when it actually works, lots of syncing trouble with Dexcom. Terrible tech support (mailbox full) and no real troubleshooting guide

Does not sync with meters. Every time I use my one touch meter it keeps re-entering the last 48 hours of data. I have to clear out all the duplicate enters when ever I use the program

Horrible App. Doesn’t work as expected. Won’t connect to Dexcom outside US and sync with Apple Health is spotty at best. Not recommended.

Really!. When I take the time to write a review, then something has effected me! This is a great app! I use it exclusively. I only thing I’m disappointed about is the latest update that changed to way information is entered. No happy about it, but it WON’T deter me from using this wonderful app. I give it a 4.8.

Not Getting Better. I have used this app for several years even paying extra for the deluxe version. I’ve lost track of the many updates, but a few years ago an update cancelled my “deluxe” status so now I get constant notifications to “upgrade” to the latest deluxe version. The app was simple and easy to use from the start. But, that has been lost to a more complex non-intuitive interface that frequently changes. They’ve added several more layers to record glucose readings and meds. It would be nice if we could return to a one and done page. Record glucose and add a one click for your normal meds list for each time of day. I do continue to use this app. It is the worst one accept for all the others. Maybe I should build my own!

Sorry. I wish to god I would have used this app for a bit before purchasing the yearly subscription. Biggest problem is when you scan a food it shows everything there. When you go to insights and pull it up all line items are zeroed our. Then if you switch the serving it goes completely whacko. For example it listed something that should be 140 calories as 14,000 calories. The only way I can make it get even close to accurate is if I switch serving size to between .04 and .05.

Way too nosy. I used to use this app and it was simple and met my need, which was to track my glucose level. Now it is way too aggressive about wanting you to buy the premium version and to connect you to other apps ( like Apple health). They want direct access to your glucometer. And they want to know your weight, diet, etc. Basically, they want to get your money and then sell as much information about you as possible. No, thanks. I think I’ll just buy some graph paper.

Shameless advertising and warped Apple rating system. When companies focus more on annoying me into buying their product instead of providing value to me, I go elsewhere. Apple needs to let users turn off decade-old reviews and show ratings trends. Time and time again companies build a great reputation, then fool new consumers into buying drastically altered products by the same name. My 1 star review and the 100s before mine don’t make a dent in the 10,000+ 5-stars earned for the previous product.

Always trying to push or trick you into buying things.. This used to be a good app and then they changed and now keep hitting you constantly with offers for upgrades and more paying services, some of which you can’t avoid. Once you’ve logged in a bunch of readings, you can’t download or print out report for your doctor unless you pay. If you don’t pay, then you have to write down your readings to provide to doctor. I’m leaving to find an app that doesn’t lock your information down unless you pay money.

I like this app.. It’s easy to use and carry my glucose readings to my doctor appointments. I also like the estimated A1C. It helps keep me on track with my carb intake. I am sad that it doesn’t take my activity-steps from my Fitbit. I don’t carry my phone during most of my activity, especially my water aerobics, but I do wear my Charge 3 Fitbit all the time. If it read from my Fitbit it would have 5 stars

Nice find. I work in healthcare and was a little surprised that my provider wanted me to start taking blood glucose readings but had no tools to capture this for my chart. Thank goodness I found Glucose Buddy. While my doctors in the 1980’s somewhere, Glucose Buddy has allowed me to track and trend my readings, make notes to myself about what I ate previously (so I knew what was and was not a good food choice) and to generate reports to show my progress to my doctor. I dropped my levels from 320 to under 110 in a little less than 3 weeks after I started using Glucose Buddy, if I had paper and pencil, my poor memory and Innate ability to loose important things would have held me back. Thanks Team!!

High Pressure Sales to buy premium. From the very second I logged into this for the first time the application became nothing but pressure sales to get me to buy their premium login “the premium version”. There was even a 22nd last chance pitch to get me to upgrade to the premium for ever even let me onto the application. I deleted the app when the 20 second countdown was done. If that’s the way they greet the customers then i don't want to be one of the customers

Great app with room for improvement. This app allows tracking in so many ways. One option that could add value is the ability to track quantity of medications. For example, allow me to input how many pills I have left, and as I take my medications, reduce the number accordingly. Then I can receive a notification when I am nearing the time to reorder my script.

Upgrade to premium. Upgraded to premium yesterday via App Store and not able to get any of the new features.....still ads, no a1c, graphs, not able to generate reports.... I have not heard back from support... if you are going to charge 59+ dollars, should have been better tested.

Maybe I’m just old. Liked it better before they changed to subscription . The app still lets me chart my glucose which is why I use it. Don’t know why they want my location that’s not why I use the map and don’t need s drain on my battery life .

Love this app.. I've told everyone I know about this app. I was so overwhelmed when I was diagnosed with diabetes. After a couple of weeks of trying to figure things out manually, I discovered Glucose Buddy. I can't imagine tracking my diabetes without it now. Been using it for 3 1/2 months.

Yet another medication request. When I take lisinopril 20 mg, it always comes with HCTZ 12.5 mg. But I cannot put that as a single entry. I have to enter both Lisinopril and then HCTZ separately. Can this be made to be done together? ================================ I like the way glucose buddy, picks up signals from other health devices and registers those as well.

Great, But Not Fully Compatible with Apple Health. Since I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes type 1, I’ve been looking for an app to input all my related medical data. Glucose Buddy have been the best one I’ve found and used so far. However, the application seems to have some minor bugs as it only exports my blood glucose data to the Health app. It is very important for me to have my insulin delivery, blood pressure, and etc exported to the Health app as well.

Worked great. Got awhile. So I downloaded this app on the free 7 day trial and liked it enough to keep it. I didn’t cancel and it automatically charged my credit card. All is well. Then on the 8th day, after my credit card was charged the app all of a sudden stopped transferring the data. A1C and current log of all the tests came to an abrupt halt. I wrote tech support and have yet to get a response. Therefore I went back to my old app and requested a refund and have deleted the app from my device. If that’s the best you can do then I don’t need your app

New change. Since the new update I no longer use this app as much as I used to. You can no longer see your logs displayed in such a way as to easily view or compare them like before. Adding an entry is no longer an easy task and there are now more steps to go through in order to log or find logs. I like the new look but I prefer something that works well regardless of how esthetically pleasing it is. I do wish they would change that part back.

Super easy!!!. I was diagnosed last year with Type 2 diabetes and this app has helped me get and keep my BG levels in check!!! Love the fact that it has the ability to help you track your diet and other changes. Amazing app, glad I’ve got it, it’s a much needed help!!!

Good app!. I love this app, it has helped me see what I’m doing wrong as well as what I’m doing right. I’ve learned to portion my meals, average out my blood sugar and pressure and share everything with my doctor. This app is well worth it! Though I hate it wouldn’t let me use my name to send a comment though!

Login? No thanks.. Why do I need to login or setup an account to use the app? Nope nope nope. Never going to allow any health related app make me “create an account”. This app is even worse: doesn’t even tell you WHY you need to create an account. Just wants you to set it up before you can even see what’s inside. Deleted. Not sure why it gets all these glowing reviews. Maybe the app is nice but people, please. Your health data should never be their business. And if for some reason they font collect your readings, then why need an account?

Great Help. The app has been such a great help to me in my daily life with diabetes type II. Now I have a way to track my blood sugars throughout the day and get periodic reports that help me to check how I’m doing, along with my A1 C score. It’s also helpful to take to the doctors office of the doctor can see it as well.

Caution Free Users. They delete your meal history after one day if you don't subscribe to the premium version. I get it, the basic version is free, but nowhere does it say that you have to go premium to keep meals logged. I lost a days worth of nutrition info because I didn't know this and it really set me back, as a new diabetic I have been trying real hard to monitor my meals to see what combination works for me

Was a Great App!. Easy to use. Love the graph! I can print out my logs to take to the doctor with me. **ADDENDUM** I would pay a one-time fee to upgrade, but I never, ever pay for an app monthly or annually. The interface is much more complicated and more difficult to use. And why would I want to share my blood sugars on social media?!?! Scary that this could accidentally be shared. **UPDATE** Can’t find the Log. Used to be so easy to see and use. I would pay a one-time fee to upgrade, but a $40 annual fee? 🤣

Old version. Is there any way to use the previous version? I liked being able to put glucose level and medicine in one screen without having to switch between items

Journal bp and glucose. This has been great as an overall logging journal for my glucose and bp. I’ve been able to show my dr my glucose and bp trends. Every now and again I can add in my weight. I wish the food thing had more already put in items - not brands - just items. Maybe it does, I just haven’t found it or it wasn’t evident. So basically haven’t had any directions and I just use it to log.

App Keeps Crashing. I used this app years ago and went back to it as I need to start tracking my blood sugar again. I was able to use this app for the past 48 hours. I logged my blood sugar this morning and now I cannot open the app. It keeps crashing. I tried reinstalling the app but that hasn’t helped. Thanks god the app info backed up to the website. I’ll have to switch to another app now to keep tracking. I’m disappointed as I like a lot of the features of this app.

Great App. Really great app. I especially like the visual feed back on blood sugar levels. OK I'm taken a star away I drill mostly like but I have not been able to add items I may not have a barcode for. Like if I have bok Choi (which I did recently) I can out it it once but can't ever find it again. The scanner option works great, and once it's in the search option works great as well but there's a giant hole that I haven't solved.

a1c doesn’t update. Have used this app for several years. My only real complaint is that the a1c doesn’t update when I add a lab result. If the app estimates my a1c at 6.8 and I enter a lab result of 7.6 it still shows 6.8. Have contacted support twice about this and have never heard from them. If they ever corrected this it would be perfect. This is very annoying. May not renew next time and look for something different.

Disappointed. I’ll a brand new user to this aspect of using technology in my health care. I have read disappointed99’s review and have to agree completely! This may of been a great app, but, It’s certainly not any more. I was enthusiastic when starting after entering what I consider sensitive data, I had no way to understand how much the developer selling his product for or even what the app could do. I need a comprehensive application but I’m not going to subscribe to an aggressive cash cow, (that this app is trying to be) without sampling the wares.

Tracking is wrong. It looks like this app could be a very helpful tool however logging is wrong. Tried to input a meal and made sure that the date was correct but the logs show it as being done the day before. Then when I tried to report the bug it would not let me email saying my setting were wrong when they were correct. They have some major bugs that need to be worked out! I am requesting a refund.

App not working. I have been using this app for a while and it’s been great. I decided to upgrade so I could all the features. Once the trial was over and they received the payment for the year it stopped working I can’t get it to open. I click the app help and it says page not found. So disappointed.

Saving medication. The ability to save medication doses in the last update is great except for one thing. I no longer have access to the decimal point so my medication can’t be entered correctly. Can you please fix that?

Money hungry. I didn’t even finish setting up the app to get started. The app kept asking... well more like insisting, that I subscribe. Apparently the programmer(s) don’t have enough confidence in their app to inspire people to want the “premium” so they feel the need to brow beat you into upgrading prior to even using it. If they don’t have confidence in it, why should I? I deleted it. For the other programmers out there, don’t nag potential customers. Let them try your app. If they like it and see the benefit of upgrading, they’ll do so.

Great App!. I was looking for a new Diabetes App, as the In Check Diabetes App which I was using is being discontinued. I found great reviews about Glucose Buddy. I decided to try it out. I have been using it for a week and absolutely love the ease of the App! It has proven better than what I was using and more features to it. Definitely recommend Glucose Buddy!!!

Vanished. I use to love this app. Now the format has changed or something has happen, I can no longer get to calories consumed nor my insulin percentages .. When I click on insights at the bottom of my page it takes me to my weekly and monthly reports. It had totally vanished.

First time user. Was looking for an app that would track my carbs and my glucose. Was excited to find this one. Unfortunately it won’t work unless I want to pay. I’ve searched several items I had at meals today and did not locate them. Yes I could add them, but only the name and calories....if I wanted to add the other info I’d need to upgrade to premium. I guess I’ll just have to stay with the 2 free apps I use right now to track food in one and glucose in the other.

Almost but not yet. I first looked at the app some years ago and chose to not set it up. Now I have returned and setup an account. I do not want to pay $40 or more for a Premium. I do not care for the incessant push to subscribe. I’ll probably look for an alternative if this pushing continues. It’s distracting, interrupting, and very annoying. You asked, I said no but it persists. I know such premium accounts end up being more and more opportunities to shell out payments for more and more.

Just a money grab. I was going to try this “free” app to see if it meets my needs, but it wouldn’t actually let me use it. The first thing it does is pop up a screen asking me to pay 50 dollars. If I cancel this, it goes to an “are you sure?” page. Cancelling this brings you back to the “pay 50 dollars page.” There is apparently no way to use this app without forking over 50 bucks up front. I wish I could have back the 10 minutes I wasted on this thing.

Sales dominates home screen. Hi, I was recently diagnosed diabetic and turned to your app to help me count carbs and log my glucose levels. Unfortunately you are eating up too much of the screen with your sales banner that I get frustrated every time I try to enter info or get a good look at my daily food and glucose entries. I am trying other apps but truly hope you rethink just how much screen real estate you are chewing up..I know I am not alone in my opinion...check your recent ratings!

I’m out of here, AMF.. Like many others that have provided reviews of this app, I’ve been a long time user. The new app claimed to be newer, better, easier. It’s not. For the last I’ve been trying different apps trying to find one that approximated the early version of this app that app doesn’t exist. However I did find one that has many of the old and new features of glucose buddy. This app lets me hide the features I don’t want/need which gives me the old glucose buddy. If in the future I want to add a feature I can enable it.

I like it but I don’t want it set to auto renew. I like the app and the speakers, but I’m just realizing that set to auto renew in here and I don’t necessarily want it to do that from reading it said you can control that within the app. I haven’t found a way to turn that off as of yet, I’ve looked at everything everywhere there’s no button to flip off auto renew.

Duplicate entries and no way to customize.. AccuChek is doing away with their app so I need something to keep my logbook for the clinic. Unfortunately this isn’t it. It imports the readings from my meter…twice. Duplicate entries just don’t work for me. I thought it was a one time glitch and deleted everything but the next time I opened the app the duplicates were back. Also, the app doesn’t add an automatic tag to my glucose entries when it downloads them. And there’s no way to add a custom exercise.

Trying to delete. Had high hopes when I downloaded this app. After wading through the tedious process of entering my data, I couldn’t get past the incessant pop ups to upgrade. I click on the ‘X’ to hide the ad and it took me to the upgrade page EVERY TIME. I’ve spent the last 15 minutes trying to find an email address to request they delete my info since I have deleted their app. Still cannot find an address. If I start getting email junk to buy or try glucose monitoring items, I’ll know where it started. Ugh!!!!!!!!

Disappointed. So I download Glucose Buddy (free) and start setting up. In settings I sync, or try to, the Health data and the app never, recovers. I see it spinning next to the network icon. Close the app and reopen, no response from the app. Delete the app. Buy the $1.99 app and try the same thing. Sync Health and the app freezes. It’s only $2 bucks but come on, really. Your app does not work and won’t come out of the sync spin. Then the app blows up. I tried to use the contact from the Glucose Buddy site but that doesn’t work either. Disappointed.

Time to say goodbye. Not a fan of the this updated version with the new company. Prior to this it was very easy to filter results and at one point I was even able to add a custom tag. Now one has to upgrade to the premium version to filter results! Seriously?!!!? The ability to apply a filter to my results should be a basic feature especially with the new look. It’s not user friendly to be able to find your results. Bye, bye old friend. Time to find a new app.

From Great to No Way. I have used Glucose Buddy for many years. It's been a real asset in maintaining blood glucose control. I even appreciated the recent upgrade. From a functional standpoint, GB is a hit. The problem is the new ads which dominate the screen. I understand the owner needs to make money. Fine, have ads. But do those ads have to overwhelm the screen to the point it's hard to prior entries? I may have even been enticed to pay for the premium experience, but at $60 PER YEAR that is never going to happen. Hate to say goodbye to my long time Glucose Buddy, but a break up is on the horizon.

Almost there. Liked this app enough to subscribe for a year. Many features I do like. If I could ask for more, I'd like to be able to see a synopsis of my daily macro intake. It's good to see how an individual food rates, but at the end of the day I'd like to glance at my totals. What were my percentages of fat, carb and protein consumed during any given day. Would help with fine tuning.

What a great app. This is such a great app! As a newbie I like the the food IQ feature as it helps track which foods spike my glucose. The tutorials on healthy eating are pretty good as well. Knowing what to eat, how much and when has really helped to get my numbers right where they need to be.

Live with this app!. My husband and I have used this app for years. It’s so convenient and easy to use. My doctor loves it too. All he has to do is look on our phones to monitor our blood glucose history. It on takes seconds to record your numbers and you’re done!

Glucose Buddy. I’ve been using this app for several years. Simple to use, helps me keep great records. Also able to log other medications I take, not just Glimepiride, so I can keep up. Especially good with my thyroid medicine so I know for sure it’s been long enough so I can eat.
