Wonderful! Saved me many times. I’ve been using this app for 8+ years and even the older version were great. The new versions make it even easier to organize and detail packing items. I travel a lot (pre Covid) and the app has saved me many times by making sure I didn’t forget really important items like meds, passports, visa paperwork, etc. Keep up the good work!

Great app!. Like the features for ease of use.

Good start. I travel a lot to different places requiring completely different clothing and gear....so I appreciate the ability to create different lists that I can keep ready to go. As far as the problems....I dont need to know that soap is for my "body" or toothpaste is for my "mouth". I would get rid of that field entirely and increase the font size. I also agree that there is entirely too much tapping to add something to your packing list. I would also like to see the the "quantity" field optional. I dont need to know how many Q-tips to take with me and its another thing that clutters up the screen. I'm also not crazy about the opening screen....more unecessary tapping. When I hit the icon, I want to go to the program....not another icon that I have to tap to get to where I want to go. I think this has a lot of potential and I would rather have something devoted to just packing lists, but as it stands right now its almost easier to get one of the free "to do" lists and create a list in there.

A wonderful packing list app.. It takes a bit of learning but is well worth the time. I used for several years and in 2020 decided to simplify my collection of apps. I upgraded to the Pro features- well worth the small fee. Tried to use Things 3 for packing lists. Came back to Packing in 2021. Much better. It’s working fine on iOS 14. Thanks for a powerful app that lets you customize and syncs well with iCloud. I use seamlessly on iPhone and iPad. A nice surprise - my 2019 data was in iCloud and synced right up. I would happily pay an update fee to keep this app current to Apple standards and iOS versions.

Best packing APP. For frequent or occasional travelers. Has saved me much stress from last minute packing. I use this APP every time I travel; even for short day trips to the beach!

No need for other tools!. I am terribly picky for apps: I always want them to exactly meet my needs and that requires very flexible and customizable platform. This app has all of it: jus imagine that even in a very short budget I decided to add a small tip! Try it and I’m pretty sure the app has many chances to fit your needs and fulfill your wishes!

Such a Useful App. Before the pandemic, we used to travel quite a bit. I tried about a half dozen packing apps before I finally found this one and it is so much better. The master list is fairly complete and it’s very easy to add items as needed. Great app and we look forward to using it more now. Well done!!

GREAT App!!!. Downloaded app after seeing it advertised on Eagle Creek’s website. Started off with the $0.99 version then found that I needed to upgrade to use some features, so I upgraded to the top tier and love the functionality of this app. My learning curve took a while but I finally figured out how to navigate, set up Types and Items from scratch. Set up custom lists for different types of trips that I will assign dates as soon as I know when I’ll be traveling. Way too many features to list in this review. Had one error message and relayed it to the developer who is very approachable, personable, and extremely helpful. Awesome tech support and I’ve had no issues with this app. Best part was importing from iPad to iPhone. Worth every penny spent! Thanks, Q!

Great app. Four years later, I still love this app! Love this app. It makes packing so easy. Never forget anything. No need to write a new list for each trip, just revise a previous list and you're done. I couldn't live without it!

Must have. I have a lot of repetitive trips—3-day work trips, long weekends in FL, my week-long annual Mexican vacation, so having default lists ready to go is a life saver. Love this app.

Simple, sensible, reliable.. I’ve been using this app for years now and I totally rely on it. I travel multiple times a year for both work and pleasure and use it every single time. It’s simple and intuitive to use and I’ve never had any problems with it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a packing app. A message for the developer: the one feature I find annoying is that it lists / highlights every item I’ve just selected from my master list as it ‘adds’ them to the current list. Without that mild annoyance it would be five stars.

Best travel app. Been using this app for ever! Can’t imagine not having this tool to organize my trip preparation. I’m very OCD, so this app gives me some comfort when planning a vacation, etc. Kudos !!!!!

Awesome Application!!!. If you like using a list or you are a list person, you will LOVE this App.!!! It is very easy to use and you can set up standard lists to use over and over again like trips on airlines vs car trips as you usually pack differently and then just reuse the templates you set up. It is really user friendly and fast! I love the fact that there are so many categories & sub-categories and that you can customize them and change the labels to your own 'lingo'. You will never forget to do anything for a trip again right down to customizing packing lists by person for what to pack in a suitcase all the way to cleaning out the frig. and holding the mail before you leave!!! Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!! So cool!!!!

My go-to packing app. I’ve tried a lot of apps but this one withstands the test of time. I’ve been using it since 2010. It does everything I want and the developers have been wonderful at adding new features over time. Highly recommend!

Very Helpful App. I’ve. Used this app for years. It’s been useful for thinking thru what to pack and as a checklist to be sure I’ve doe & packed what I needed.

Apps keeps getting better. I am a long time user of this app. I first started using it around 7 years ago, when I was traveling on business for 3 weeks to China- my longest ever business trip- and wanted to make sure I didn’t forget anything. I have used it for many trips since then- from a weekend away to international travel- and it helps keep me organized! The new feature of being able to copy from one list to another is a welcome addition.

Easy to use. Great for every trip and activity. I use it for travel and to make certain I have everything I need for my dogs when competing at agility events.

Wonderful App - Used for years. I travel extensively around the world all year long and need different clothes etc for the climate and weather conditions. This app has saved me time and time again from forgetting crucial items that I found I need after years of experience in the different places. I love the ability to track by suitcase as I travel from light to heavy and when heavy this really helps organize and later find items I have packed.

Great for Backpacking!. Bought the trial version to see if it would work for my backpacking lists. In a word: Yes! I am an ultralight backpacker and so every gram counts when I get ready to go on a trip into the wilderness. The three level Master List database is completely customizable so I added a "Shelter" category, then "Tarps" & "Tents" in the subcategory called "Types" then added my individual tarps and their weights as Items under "Tarps" and likewise with my tents. I then moved on to add Sleep and Cooking Categories, etc. After I got that stuff set up in the Master List it was simple to select the appropriate items and get a packing list and total weight. Very easy and straight forward. None of the backpacking list apps offer a weight feature. So if you want to use this for your camping gear list it will work great!

Packing app makes traveling and overnight visits a piece of cake!. I rely on the Packing app for everything from an overnight visit to babysit grandkids, a 10 day camping trip or two weeks in Europe! Over the years I have easily adjusted it to my changing needs. For several years the Packing app has been my faithful traveling companion!

I love this app!. I have been using this app for many years and just love its versatility. It is very useful to create a comprehensive list for any type of trip. I use it primarily for RV camping trips and you have the ability to customize the Master List to suit you needs. For example I have a category for RV equipment that I want to make sure I don’t forget. The ability to use my customized lists over and over is also really nice.

I'm a big fan. I am not organized. Because I struggle to be organized I need tools like this app. Tonight I needed to pack quickly for a family emergency. It is calming to have all my medications, clothing, and computer stuff listed on my IPhone and I can just follow the list. I like that I can keep refining lists. I use this app frequently and have developed a packing list for all types of trips.

Love this app!. I have used this app for multiple trips now and just love it. I was able to add to and delete categories and items from the developers Master List to make it my own. I can create what I am calling "template lists" (such as one for my husband's business trips or one for cruises which we take every few years). Then I create a current list by copying that template (the app makes this very easy to do). The app remembers what is needed for that particular kind of trip so I don't have to. I can also email a list to someone else joining us on a trip (I used the option which listed the items individually in the email, though I think you can email in a format where they import to their device if they use the same app). I had a question/suggestion and emailed the developer at one point. I received a prompt response. This app is worth paying a little for!

Works Like A Charm for 2+ Years. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the initial learning curve. I have used this for several years and travel every couple months on business and pleasure in and out of US including cruises. This ap reminds me of things to pack for international travel which is especially a big help. I depend on this ap totally even when going away for the weekend. Can not imagine using a paper list again. I recently looked at pro list and would gladly pay $3 for it but since my kids are grown and I just pack for me and my pup, I really don't think I need the few added features. "Pro" looks like it would be great for Moms with kids or even a wife who packs for spouse. Thanks for relieving the dreaded burden of remembering what to pack for varied type trips. I love it! D.C. Obviously made by people who travel alone. You can quickly put in information for a simple list, but it becomes onerous to put in more detailed data. For instance, you can assign which bag it goes in, or which person it belongs to, but doing so requires a rather clumsy second and even third edit screen. (Use of a simple pull down would eliminate the third screen.) while you can filter by person or bag, you can't sort by either of those (or better, nested by those). And unless you consider all your clothes equal, the inability to easily specify things like which color of pants you intend to pack severely limits the ability to use it as a planning tool. So, difficult to use for more than one person, or someone who is particular about their about their wardrobe. Some simple feature adds could make this really usable.

My preferred packing app for several years. Another long-overdue review for this indispensable travel app. I’ve used it since 2012 for over 30 trips, so I am very familiar with its operation. While not perfect, it offers the right mix of lists, item categories and other features to help you organize your packing lists so you don’t forget a single thing. I personally find the UI a bit clunky, but that is a minor complaint for an otherwise stellar app.

Good app, until all my work disappeared. Hours of work organizing a complex packing system involving 9 bags and 2 people for an aircraft. No app crash. All my organization simply disappeared except for the last four items I entered. Just gone. I want my money back. Other than the data loss it’s a nice looking app.

Long time user. I’ve been using this app for years and it has never let me down. It’s been on three different phones and is exactly what I need. A simple and straightforward packing list with the ability to customize to all my weird hobby trips.

List sorting - almost perfect. The feature I have been waiting for since version 1, sorting lists by date is here! Descending from newest to oldest is great. Just one more request. Have the newest Future Trips always at the top of their list like the past trips. Thanks!

Great App. I’ve been using this app for almost five years. I love it, and use it as a checklist every time I travel. There have been many updates over the years, the most extensive was very recent. I like the fact that they are on top of keeping everything up-to-date, while also making so many improvements. I upgraded to Pro, and it was well worth it. Highly recommended if like to be organized, and you don’t want to leave something important behind when you travel.

A must-have for travelers!. If you travel regularly, whether for business, pleasure or both, this is an indispensable app! Got originally for a cruise and for the first time I had everything I needed, when I needed it. 2 years later, I'm still using it. Wished it synced automatically between devices, but lists can be exported via email or Dropbox, then opened in another device that has also has the app. Two thumbs way, way up!!

Ten Thumbs Up. I'm long overdue writing a review for this app; I owe it to the developers. I can't remember what year I started using it but it was before the name changed, and I think it was on my iPhone 3GS! This app is simply a part of my travel routine, every trip, every time. An example of its utility: I take a kayaking trip every summer to the same cabin. This app takes care of every trivial question. ("Is this the place that doesn't provide paper towels—or is it dish soap?") Now I don't have to strain a single brain cell. A week before leaving I open the app and it's all there: I know to pack an extension cord for the second bedroom because the outlet is too far from the bed. We need 6 large, 8 medium and 4 small bungees for the kayaks. The coffee pot uses size-2 basket-style coffee filters. You get the drift. Organized and stress-free! I admit that I'd be screwed if I ever lost my lists but that, thankfully, has never happened to me. I do try to remember to back up my important lists from time to time. An A-plus app, invaluable. Ten thumbs up!

Really simplifies packing. Most trips are like the one before and maintaining a list of things to that I normally take and basing trip packing lists off of previous trips really make packing easy.

Been using for awhile and love it. While the app gives you suggested lists, either editing or making your own is easy. I have different packing lists for business travel, short and long trips, camping, a cruise. I love the fact that when it comes time to pack I don’t have to start from scratch each time I pull out the suitcase. I’ve tried other apps but either they are too rigid and not customizable, OR they are more complicated than is needed. I keep going back to this one.

Great for single traveller. Difficult to add multiple family members without having a list for each one. Otherwise fabulous.

Top app. This has to be one of the first apps you get when you are planning any travel. Simple to use, and incredibly easy to navigate through. Love the fact that you can sync between phone, iPad and computer...means that you can edit your lists as your plans change.. Each upgrade just makes the app even more user friendly.

Ok, but........ 1: syncing between devices. It just doesn't work. 2: in app purchases. They mysteriously disappear at upgrade time and you're back to basics AND out of pocket. Ripped off. 3: notes don't show in the iPhone app unless you open them. Bit of a pain when the note specifies which particular pants/shoes/whatever to pack. The direct entry is a massive improvement. Being able to link one item to multiple categories would be great too. Being able to show packing for different people would be great for families.

Disappointed. I have just bought this and spent the last hour trying to add one of my own items and it does not work, regardless of following instructions. Also there is no way of managing the list other than the item disappearing off the screen, that means you cannot double check unless you get all the way to the end and reopen the whole list. What a waste of time. Don't waste your time and money

Great App. Very useful for anyone who likes lists. Ability to save lists for individual trips, such as skiing holidays is particularly good.

The perfect packing app if you know what you want. In the 1990s, I bought and read a book on packing, took careful notes, and prepared detailed packing lists which I customised for each trip. Over the years, the master lists were refined to provide the vital bridge between what I actually owned and what I expected to need for my trip. A companion list followed, setting out things to do and when to do them. Why do I do this? So that I don't overpack (with no room for shopping) or underpack (think late night dash to 7-eleven in a strange city). And so that packing for each subsequent trip is a breeze. When this app first launched, I thought it was pretty good but not customisable to my way of packing. But after the many, many enhancements, I'm persuaded that the app is now PERFECT. You can create any category or subcategory, and so each item (e.g., 'white t-shirt') can be categorised according to how you think e.g., by type ('clothes'), location ('check-in bag'), activity ('tennis'). The app comes with its own master templates and sample items in sample categories to satisfy the casual user. But its best feature is complete customisation because sooner or later, even the casual user tires of bending him/herself to someone else's approach.

Excellent. The built in master list is really comprehensive. Easy to use. Made the list for our next trip in less than five minutes. Very happy

Better than a butler!. I used to loathe packing, now it's a breeze. All I had to do was set up my own master list and packing is no longer the chore it once was. Easy to edit my list as I acquire new gadgets or gear too. And I haven't read the instructions yet - it's actually pretty intuitive.

Be organized.. This is a great app. I love to be organized and not have that feeling that I have left something behind. It would be fantastic to have the option of adding the weight of each item so that you know exactly how much your bag will weigh.

Works perfectly for me. I have used this app for many years. It allows me to customize every item to reflect my own wardrobe and possessions. It allows me to have a list for my partner's clothes. It allows me to decide which bag I've packed items into. I've left off a star only because nothing deserves five stars - everything can always do with a tweak - but this app already exceeds my expectations. I love it and give it five hearts! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Don't waste your time & effort with this app. Where are ALL my packing lists? Gone AGAIN! It seems that every time this app is upgraded I lose all my previous packing lists. I've had about enough of this app. It just wastes my time & effort. DELETE!

Best of breed! But get smart with the Cloud please. This is the best I have tested so far for lists and especially travel. I appreciate that it is constantly being improved. My only reservation is that it is not simple to sync between devises and there is no computer based app. Still fantastic though and look fwd to more sync simplicity (especially live updates)

Does what it says. Just created a list for my trip and I'm pretty pleased with the app. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it (I didn't read any instructions first and it was still fairly simple to navigate). Great for quickly creating check-lists. Would give five stars if the category names for "type" could be edited after creating (in case of errors). Overall, I'd recommend this app!

Best travel app won’t travel without it. I have used this app for years now and swear by it. There is no chance to forget something important. It is great seeing details of previous trips as a starting point and especially great that I can pack a bit at a time and always know what’s in the case and what is still to go.

Brilliant app. From holidays to business travel and even a couple of spells in hospital, I don’t pack without it. Admittedly it has its foibles (like all apps), but nothing else comes close.

Awesome app. Great app.... Really useful... Wish it had an option to set reminders for to-do items and assign them to people (for ex. My husband is in charge or converting currency and I want to be able to assign it as a task to him with a date so he remembers). Similarly I can have tasks assigned to me and the have due dates....

Time saver.. I've been using this App since it first appeared. After the first time, I just clone a list and tweek it for the next trip. That allows me to have all the basics and just adjust the specifics, such as items needed for different locations. If it is Singapore, I know it will be hot and humid. If it is Melbourne, I will need a bit of everything to cope with the changeable weather. An English winter requires a different set of specifics. The basics remain the same- toothbrush, soap, comb, etc. I also take a printed copy to assist with re packing. It has saved me from leaving items in hotels. I just tick off as I pack.

Love this app.. I travel a fair bit and this is one of the most useful app's I have downloaded. For the list lover (which I am) this is the ultimate list. Great work!

Good for everything but clothes. Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to have a separate clothes list for each person traveling. This app just seems to take the sample clothes list and multiply by the number of adults or kids. I don't find it useful to have a list that suggests that between me and my partner we need 6 pairs of long pants - I want my list and his list. Maybe just picky, but it's enough to stop me using the app.

A good start. This is putting the iPhone to good idiomatic use. Improvements: I haven't been able to get my additional items to figure on any list which leads me to think that there needs to be an FAQ on a site somewhere. "Packing for Dummies" anyone? Also, the exported email list is a great feature. However the text should be exported with csv type punctuation between the columns of data, which in turn would facilitate a useful import into a data base.

Superb app. Intuitive, versatile, easy to use and very very useful

Worked well until it synced. Ive used this app a lot previously and had 10 lists saved. I'd spent hours making a concise list for this trip, put the iPad down for a minute came back, unlocked the screen and saw a message saying it had synced with iCloud (I don't have iCloud enabled); it had deleted all my lists, they weren't even in my trash. To me, deleting data is an app killer.

Nearly there!. This is a great program if you love to exhaustively plan what you will take on your next trip. Unfortunately, while you can add your own user-defined items, these cannot be added to the item lists permanently. It would also be better if users could edit the existing items to match regional names for items (e.g. swimming suit = bathers)

I am dissapointed there are only a few templates- I never have everything I need when away and was looking forward to a 'packing assistant' with recommendations for weekends away, summer breaks etc etc - it turns out I can have the assistance to tick off the list, but only after ive created it myself.. :(

Very useful. I am really enjoying this app. It would be nice if you could edit the individual item names and if the catagory would calapse when all items checked so there isn't so much scrolling. That being said, it's a good app.

So many ways to use. I use for managing the contents of my camper trailer so it’s easy to load up and check inventory of items quickly and easily. Love it

Good but could be even better. I'm packing for a big trip so have been using this app a lot. The included items are useful and the app is fairly flexible in what it allows you to do. That said, I found that I needed to do a fair amount of rearranging of the items and categories to match my own thought process when packing and wished there was an easy way to move items from one category or subcategory to another. Also when adding items to a list I wish it were possible to add multiple items from a subcategory at once rather than being sent back to main list after each selection and then having to navigate back.

Love this app!. I love Packing Pro, I have used it for a few trips and its so easy to personalize, it's awesome. I'm a list maker and this eliminates alot of paper. I have also purchased Shopping Pro and love it.

Great program. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. If you take a bit of spare time to customize the lists then it is a very excellent program. I am an airline pilot and have such lists as: sim training, cold/hot destinations, long pairings etc. I simply don't forget things anymore. Well done.

Amazing app!. This is the first time I've written an app review and couldn't be happier that it is for this one. I went to Thailand and this app enabled me to whittle down my packing for a 2 week business trip to a large purse and a carry-on! I also have two young children an a trip to grandmas is a 7 hour car ride and the app was indispensable to ensure my husband and I packed all required that we didn't lose our minds... Can't say enough about it!

Fantastic. I travel a lot and for many diffrent reasons. I use this app for car camping trips, kayaking trips, resorts, backpacking, hiking, business, long and short. This app keeps me organized!

Very Helpful. Great help for my travels . . . I used to use sticky notes or others, but this is 100 times more useful. Plenty of options for all types of travelers, even specialized travelers such as photographers.

A travel essential. I love this app. I’ve been using it for a few years and find it very useful. I have different lists for different destinations and types of travel. It would be helpful to have a spot to create a note about the list or to do a post-trip edit on what was needed and what could have been left behind. But overall, it’s a great app.

Pleased so far! *edited*. I'm happy with this app so far. It is easy to use and I'm glad that the checked items stay listed for review. The starter lists are good though I'd like to see some pre listed items for business trips and device chargers. The only complaint I have is that I usually enter in my lists by category, so after I select pants for example I'd prefer to go back to clothes rather than the start page (my grocery list app does this nicely). Other then that a few bugs with random crashes (this has never caused me to lose the list) but this may be a general iPhone memory issue. Edit: the author corrected all my other complaints within 48 hours of me posting this. Now that's service! None of my concerns should prevent you from buying this. These are meerly suggestions for the future. This app will allow me to enjoy my trips without worrying that I've forgotten something.

Love it!. Gives lots of options for customizing lists. We travel with our dogs so I can make lists of what I need for them. Very helpful. I am a paper list person anyways and this makes it so much easier on the iPad.

Don't use it every day, but when I need it, it's a lifesaver!. I don't remember what I packed for last years vacation. But, this year it was all saved in this app and it took all the pre-stress out of my vacation. I had to pack for myself and two kids. Last time I updated the list after the trip if I forgot something and if I took too much of something. I also go away for weekend trips with my girlfriends twice a year and I have a list of what to pack for that. As well I have a list for what to pack when we go camping, that's another beast to conquer. I find the app very user friendly and easy to work with. This is not the first packing app I've paid for but it is the one I actually use. Thanks to the developer for the recent updates, very much appreciated!

Wonderful organizational lifesaver. One used this app for years. It provides so much peace of mind. You are mentally packed before the trip even starts and stress melts away! The premise is there is a master catalog of all things you could conceivably want to pack, and then for each trip you plan, you grab items from that master list to populate your individual packing lists. I have so many lists now—weekend trips, annual cottage, walk in the park with the dog, camping, cruise, etc, etc! Would be lost without this.

Excellent App. I love this app. I am a list maker and this app is perfect for me. Not only is there and extensive list of items to select from the mater catalog, I can add any personal items and organize them into my own groups. I use it for more than packing. It's home to my first aid list, motorcycle tool list, camping lists, biking lists, hiking list, fishing list, etc.

Great support - good ongoing development. I have been using this Application for some time now. It has improved substantially since I purchased it and I have received excellent and prompt support from Quinn Genzel personally (always a really important feature for me). The Application does all that I need for a packing list and it never ceases to suprise me how many things you need to remember.

Scam. You pay 99c for this app and you can't get anything done without buying "PRO"... What a waste of money and time!

Dissapointed. Disappointed. CHECKED items should drop to the bottom, like ITEMS should stack together (not in the order entered), should be able to EDIT items, should be able to EDIT and REMOVE or ADD selected Categories for different trips. Deleted the application, nice idea poorly implemented.

Organizational Dream!. I love this app! I love how easy it is to add your own categories and additional items. I add things to my packing list as I think of them instead of having scraps of paper everywhere and forgotten items. Super handy for those who like to be prepared for everything!

Years of use. I have been using this packing app since it first came out and haven't found a better one. The developers keep improving it and keeping it up to date. You can make a list as general or detailed as you need. I now have many of my own templates that I re-use and adjust depending on where I'm going and as my travel wardrobe changes. I never worry about leaving items behind and it takes the stress out of planning as your list can be started and items added as you think of them and you always know where your list is!

Love this app. I use this app on a regular basis and it has saved me tons of time. I have several lists that i use for certain types of trips (camping or hotel) or destinations (mom's place or the cabin) I especially like the to-do list pre-departure. No more forgetting to turn down the heat or empty the garbage.

V12.0 is awesome!. I've used this app for 3 years and have found it to be the best of its kind. However I always had to make workarounds either in the catalog, my lists, or outside the app for some common things that I wished we're in it...identifying people in my family, assigning an item to multiple people (eg. Toothbrush), and deciding if its carryon, checked luggage, or if its something we take on our person. The new version ( v12) solves all that and even some problems I didn't realize I had until I saw the solution. The iPad view is fantastic. Many apps don't really factor in the larger screen to make the views easier to use, but this app does. I'm about to switch to Samsung gs4, but thank god I have my iPad mini so I can continue to use this. Over the past 3 years, this has allowed be to finely tune our packing so we are either going completely carryon or checking 1-2 bags for a family of 4. However, You need the discipline to 1. Immediately revisit your list at end of each trip to remove items you never used, add items you realized you needed, and 2. Stick to your list when packing ( tough with a pack rat wife..:)) Highly recommended app.

Disappointing. Disappointing to buy an app only to find you still need to buy more to get the cool features. I think they made the default background so ugly you have to upgrade. And you can't change the icons for groupings you create so not useful for memory triggers. Most lame islack of Baby or Food categories. should have just stuck with free iPad list app.

Awesome!. I love this app! It took a bit of playing to figure it out and it takes some time to set up your lists, especially if you have lots of small items like toiletries, cosmetics, etc. and want to itemize them all. But I now have custom lists for different travel scenarios. Easy to use! Goodbye paper lists....

Makes packing less stressful. I used to always make paper lists. This app allows me to update my list wherever I am when I think of something. If you have multiple devices, I recommend upgrading to get the iCloud feature. Highly recommended for list makers and anyone who travels!

Great App. Great App. With the app available now on the iPad it makes creating the packing lists and catalogs easier. You can also import/export all your lists and catalogs and sync them between your iPhone and iPad. I also love the idea of adding weight for your items so you have a pretty good idea of the weight of your luggage before you even leave the house. If you use packing cubes and travel often, this app makes your life much easier. Great job!!

Very helpfull!. I only wish this had been available a little sooner! I'm leaving on an international trip in the morning and I always feel like I'm forgetting something. The preset templates helped me remember things I never would have written down and most likely, would have forgotten to pack. I initially had some difficulty marking items as "packed" but after some heavy usage this evening it seems to have fixed itself (or my fingers just weren't working before). Indispesible travel tool. BUY THIS APP!!! One of those iphone/ipod tools that you wonder how you previously lived w/o, useful for quick lists for anything, or the huge, detailed lists for the longest trips, backpackers, climbers, nature photogs should all have this, usefull subcategories and ability to quantify wieght totals are indespensible... The designers of this app take customer criticism and necessity very seriously with the most useful updates and response i have seen in app store... I Love the new graffics, please keep them coming.

This ap is is my packing brain!. I use this ap for every trip. I can refer to other trips lists and then tune it for the current trip. I was a bit confused by it at first but quick responses from the ever helpful developer got me up to speed. I have a special list for things often forgotten. Like, did you ever buy (or accumulate?) a nice glass from Europe and want it to become a delightful souvenir. My problem used to be how to say and find bubble wrap in a country where I could barely figure out how to say hello. Now, thanks to "Packing", I am reminded to lay a practically weightless piece of bubble wrap in the bottom of my suitcase. Thank you Packing.

Love it. I first got this application last summer for my trip to Japan. It was my first big trip and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't forget anything, like I frequently do. I started making my list a month before the trip, and packed everything so easily. Needless to say I didn't forget anything, and I am excited to be using this app again for my trip to Canada coming up. The app was good from the beginning but I hated the icon and a few other things. Now I love it, it has received some much needed updates and it is the perfect application if you need help packing!

needs work. A pretty good app but some very stupid features. No way to delete a trip so after 10 trips or so you have to scroll to see all future trips. After you create an entry you cannot edit it--you can only change the number of pieces. So if you want to change an item you must create a new one and delete the old one. You can reorder items but you cannot drag between categories. So if you want an item in another category, you have to retype it in and delete the old one.

was great, now perfect. I travel to Asia 5 times a year and domestically about the same number. I have been using this app for a year and a half now and I can't do without it. this app let's me forget about what I need to pack so I don't get all stressed out in the few days leading up to a trip. if I think of something I add it and I know I will have it there next time as well. the only thing that has been awkward about this app is the export/import. iCloud support is what this app has needed from day one, and now it is perfect!

Does more than it claims, and good tech support. This app is better than advertised for two reasons: one, the individualized support is superb - I received good thorough answers to questions that were intuitively obvious. In other words, the developer could have easily ignored my inquiries. Two, it is beyond simply packing. I find it makes a great grocery list because I can organize items according to the lay-out of the store. Some have missed ListPro for the Windows environment - well, this works just as well for the iPhone OS.

This app just keeps on getting better and better!. I've checked out some of the other packing apps, and, for only $0.99, this is hands down the most fully developed and thought through. It's flexible, and frequently updated, and now it even looks as nice as it works. It's definitely worth the price!

Just became a 5-star app for me.... With the latest update adding the ability to select and add multiple items at a time (the only feature I had felt was sorely lacking), I can now happily rate this app 5-stars. I love the customization this app is capable of, including the ability to add whole new categories. The only request I still have is the ability to move items between categories without having to delete and re-enter them. Highly useful if you travel!

Best of Class Travel App . Great App!! It's well designed and the included packing templates make it really easy to use. I wish I had this a long time ago. Its well worth the 99 cents. I've have used it for three trips. Two long, and one short. It really is handy to once and for all have my packing lists in one place. No more leaving home and thinking I'd forgotten something. This app continues to be updated with great features.

Packing made easy. Used to hate putting together lists for packing; making the decisions about what to bring were more onerous than the actual packing; and I nearly always forgot something. Now I can make templates for various trips I take regularly throughout the year and with few or no changes all I have to do is collect the items and stuff them in a bag. The "to-do" lists are especially handy - avoids the nagging, "did I shut off the oven" questions 30,000 feet in the air. The recent update is a great improvement. A bargain and well worth having even if you travel only a few times a year. Well worth the pitifully low price.

LOVE this app!!!. I have used this app for ALL of my trips. I use it for the frequent short stays - where everything stays about the same, but with this list I don't have to worry about forgetting anything. I use it for the annual trips (camping - etc.) and update it when I get back so the next time is even better. My favorite use of this app is for the advanced planning of mega trips. I can keep track of what needs to be purchased, what advanced things need to be taken care of(passports/visas etc). I LOVE this app. It's a busy "list makers" dream!!

Sweet app. I purchased the "lite" version of Packing and fell in love immediately; I travel a lot, and this is just what I've been looking for! It took me just a few minutes to decide to go for the in app upgrade ~ and it is even more awesome. I could have been happy with just the lite version as far as using the app, but the ability to sync my lists to both my iPhone and iPad is the feature that makes this app perfect. I love knowing that any changes I make on one device will show up on the other. In addition, Quinn provided excellent and timely responses when I emailed for some help ~ outstanding customer service! Absolutely no regrets with this purchase. Highly recommended for frequent OR occasional travelers.

Packing (+ to do) is the only way to pack!. I have recently upgraded to the pro version of this app and having ICloud makes this app even more wonderful. I had a few glitches (user error) and I emailed Quinn and he was back to me within minutes with answers that worked! We travel often and every trip Packing makes it easier. I don't find myself in the middle of an ocean or in another country missing things I should have packed. Love it! Great App!

Great Travel App. I travel a lot and have found this app invaluable. It's easy to use and reuse, and each update makes it more so. The application is simple to configure and change as needed. I have been able to dispense with years of printed lists. Overall, the convenience and simplicity is hard to beat. I would strongly recommend the app for anyone who travels. Cheap travel insurance. My jobs has me travelling often and I've used a packing list or a long time now. I'm the only one who mid trip doesn't realize they forgot something. I like this app because it's got a nice checkoff feature for all my items. At a glance I know I I packed it or not. One I customized my list and was up and running this app helps save a lot of headache and heartache. I've always got my phone and I'm not going back to paper.

Great!. I am always afraid that I'm gonna forget something when I am packing for a trip. This app has helped me so much. I no longer have to carry around a piece of notebook paper! It is great because it saves specific items that I always forget! Then on my next trip I will see it on the list and think "oh yeah I need that!". Such a perfect app!

Excellent Program. The new interface makes it almost an entirely different program and much easier to use. The previous version was good and did what it was supposed to do. This one is easier to navigate, looks great and all in all is the perfect travel packing list application - it has all I need and more. And I am a frequent international traveler and use it for all my trips!

Just what I needed. I thought I needed to make this app, then I found it! Great! I generally disagree with most reviews saying there are too many steps (perhaps those are outdated reviews?). I would like to be able to create my own "master" categories. It would also be nice to have the option for visible notes on the list (maybe show underneath in a smaller font, like a subtext, but only if a box is checked or something like that). Overall - I like it. Toiletries is misspelled. Please make updates soon :)

Awesome. I like to keep things organized but have a hard time doing it. Lists are my best friend. I've been using the free version of the app for a couple of years and thought it terrific. The new pro version w iCloud is more than worth 3 bucks. Flexible easy to use once u get the hang of it. I wouldn't think of leaving home without it. Excellent app. Thanks

Great for frequent flyer. I live in Dallas Texas and if ever you were to live in an airline town, Dallas is one of them. Since I travel a lot and driving takes forever to get anywhere it means packing a bag and jumping on a plane. So for every kind of trip, I have a list. The App allows me to customize each type of trip whether it be business, skiing, weekend trip to the Lake, family vacation, International trip, or just a day trip to Austin. It is perfect for the frequent flyer.

Customizable - Wonderful Packing List!!!. I am a mom of three kids and have this tailored for our family to a tee!! You can add categories (I have one named for each child) and add as many packing lists as you want. I also have a list just for Soccer so I don't forget anything to take to the games. You can add as many new items as you want so I have added things like Twyla (my daughters favorite toy cat) and piano books. I have also added categories such as "Park Bag" for our Disneyland trips. I have the newest update and everything is working beautifully. I love that the designers really listen to the comments and make improvements accordingly.

Needs one additional ability. The one thing this app needs is the capability to let users name categories. If that happens it will be five stars. The reviewer who says too much typing is too stupid to believe. How do you type "passport," for instance, other than "p-a-s-s-p-o-r-t?" Actually, though, most templates include that. So, you don't even have to type it unless you want to. It's a good app. Just needs that one improvement.

Too much tapping, not worth $0.99. *UPDATE* PPLEASE give us the option to put items in the list and have it SAVED with the other items and PLEASEE make the font larger... Should be able to make/delete our own list and there's too much tapping and going back to put an item on your list. Should be able to put a drop down 'menu' from the list, if you are bringing more than one pair of jeans and describe SPECIFICALLY which jeans you're bringing for each item. Should be able to check off the items once by one if you gave morw than one of the same item and not all at the same time and make this optional. This should of been free!

Big help to me.. Love this app. I very quickly saw the advantage of upgrading to Pro. No regrets! I've used lists before, but all too often, would have to re-create my packing list because the last one got misplaced. Now I have my list(s) available on all my devices as 'living' documents. The demo lists are well populated. Easy to use.

Perfect Packing App. This is a great app if you've ever made a packing list. You can learn it quickly and it can easily be customised to fit your particular needs. It even makes re-packing a breeze when you're heading back home -- you won't leave anything behind if you check your list as you repack. I can specify not only the number of shirts I want to take but the colors or styles as well. The developer has been responsive to comments and feedback, too. This is one of my must-have apps and I love it!

Great update. I have been using Packing since it was first offered on iTunes. Whereas, it has always been extremely useful, the developer has constantly tweaked and improved its usability. Version 7.0 offers a completely redesigned look and feel and makes the program a pleasure to use. i hate to pack and procrastinate always. This app lets me make sure that I haven't left anything vital behind while still waiting till the last minute.

There has to be a better way!. This is not an application for those who don't want their shoes to be classified as accessories (really???) or who wants to pack by outfit. If you are the kind of person who needs an app to pack 3 pairs of long pants (from the family of colorless featureless long pants that all look the same), then it may be for you. I want my lists to be defined precisely, and this app takes FOREVER. Added. Yes, I figured out how to create my own customized list of items, and even put them into outfits. The best about this app is that allows you to create new lists using old lists as a base, and it syncs across your iOS devices. The color scheme is pretty bad, though.

Good packing list app. This is pretty much exactly what I needed. A combined packing/todo list app that organizes into categories and shows you how many items in each category are left. The default category/item list had almost everything I needed already. I just had to add a couple odd items. And ignore other reviewers that say you can't customize it, you can add/delete/change categories and items at will. Not always the most intuitive, though. Pros: Comprehensive default master list Add multiple items at once Category subtotals List templates Cons: Customization could be more intuitive If you are adding groups of items and back up to the list, your selections are lost. You must hit 'Save' before backing out.

Bea. I have planned seven trips with this app so far. I can't imagine being without it. Keeping the information from previous trips for reference has helped me to streamline the actual packing process and reduced how much I actually pack. I like the ability to personalize the app in so many ways. Whether I'm packing for a foreign journey or weekend getaway...I can be detailed as necessary or i can just keep it simple. I love being able to start packing in this app when the first notion of a trip occurs. During a trip I also use it as a reference and reminder. I highly recommend it.

The only packing app you'll ever need!. I love this app, and the latest update has fully restored it to its glory. It is easy to use - very intuitive and flexible. It's simple to customize lists and create new ones without having to start completely from scratch. In addition, customer service is great. The developers were quick to respond to an earlier issue and very determined that I be 100% happy with their product, which I am.

A must-have for travelers. I've used this app for planning several trips and while they have been completely different, this app has always helped me. Works perfectly, never crashes and the ability to add, substract and input your own items is great. Definitely the best app for traveling on either leisure or work! Excellent!!

Great for reducing stress. Used this for my last trip (packing for a family of four including a baby) and it was the least stressed I've ever been packing! I also didn't bring a ton of random stuff while forgetting important things like I usually do. And my four year old loved checking off the boxes to help make sure we had everything ;).

My most recommended app. This is my number one app to recommend when friends get a new idevice and ask me what are the best apps. I don't travel a lot, but between family car trips, visits to friends, and the occasional exciting trip to Europe, I can not praise this app enough! It is easily customizable, you can figure it out yourself, but reading the online documentation makes it even clearer. I have added many personal items without problems, but appreciate the preset packing lists as well fir getting started. The best thing is, IF I forget something on a trip. I have my iPod with me and I add it to the list on the spot so that it doesn't happen again. To the mom below who complained that she couldn't add things like her kid specific stuff... please read the manual! It's incredibly easy and I, for one, could not survive without this app doing the remembering for me!

Exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if I should spend the money on the full version and I'm glad I didn't because this is great! I'm not sure what else the full version gives you but if it's just the ability to change the theme or background picture, I can live without that! I am a big list person & love that I can have this with me & then use it again later! Thanks for making an app for us cheapos!!! :)

Buy this app!. I rarely pay for apps and always look for free ones when available but I am glad I have this one! I travel quite a bit and love that I can start a new list from a previous one that was a similar trip. Now I rarely forget things and will start a list as soon as I have a trip booked. I have recommended this app to friends and family and they have all been happy with it too. I just recently upgraded to the Plus to get iCloud syncing between my devices and now it's even better! Love it!!!

Very Helpful Packing List. Really like this app. Very helpful to be able to filter on people, types of objects and be able to email list to Husband and Daughter as appropriate. Love creating templates for different types of trips we do and then make copies of list to customize for specific trips. The only negative, I would really like to be able to see the People icon on the list view on my iPad mini so at a glance I can tell whose object it is. Unless there is something I am missing, I can only see whose it is by selecting the item or using a filter.

Gets me out the door. A bit wooden in setting up, but that may be operator error. I rely on this app; I've made seven lists that I customize for recurring trips. I travel a lot for work with coats and ties and this serves well. It allows me to save my mental planning for more significant matters, like where's the morning's coffee shop. Buy it before your next trip. It's why you bought your iPhone.

Great Packing App. I have used this app for several years--since the first iPhone came out in 2006? 2007? I am a list maker so to have this app available adds so much flexibility and saves paper. The app has gone through a few upgrades, some better than others. The current version seems to have worked out the major bugs and improved user friendliness. I'm off to Spain.

Great!. It really seems more for a single traveler, not a family. Such as, I can add pants to the list for me, but not for anyone else because you can only have one item of the same kind at a time. It looks nice, works well, but I feel like it's not what someone who travels with several people might want unless they have separate lists for each person. Still I love it and use it often.

Great travel app. Packing for three week trip in Europe was much easier with this application. Allows you to create custom items and has a very large catalog of standard travel items. Well organized and intuitive. Best part was that without the app I would have overlooked some minor items and ended up buying overseas. Strongly recommend if you travel a lot.

Simplifies Packing!. This app has made my life so much easier; no more legal pad lists of items to pack. We're planning a lengthy trip for the holidays, and I've been able to list every single thing that I'm taking with us, from pet items to Christmas gifts and foods and, of course, my usual clothing, toiletries, electronic gadgets, etc. etc. The master list is extremely helpful for jogging the memory (lest I forget my curling iron!); however, it is also easily modified to individual needs. Love this app! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Very useful app. I have been using this app for a while and had upgraded to the pro version to give me the cloud feature. This is a great addition to a very useful app. Changes to the lists can be made to either the iPhone or iPad. You can create your own list or use the pre-packaged lists. You can use this app for many things not just traveling. Since you can create your own lists and not be stuck with a preprogrammed listing, the versatility is amazing.

Not good enough for a paid app. Having switched from a Palm to the iPhone (and therefore lost the packing list in Worldmate), I was hoping that this app would fill the gap. It does have a few nice features, like the ability to key in a quantity for each item (like 4 shirts, 2 pairs of shoes etc), but the app's overall look (rather amateur-looking) and ease of navigation (tough) still need improvement. Having bought the app I'll probably reinstall it from time to time to see if I'll like it better. Meanwhile, a simple list in Lists Free serves as a workable alternative for me.

Well designed software!. This software is a breeze to use. I've used packing lists all my life. I even have packlists for my packlists. This program makes organization a breeze. The addition of the TODO list is great. Right before you walk out the door you check off and know that you've turned the lights off and set the alarm. A must have application for anyone that uses spreadsheets or word processing lists to create their packlists.

Great Packing List App. I really like this app a lot. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish there was an easy way to move an item from one category to another. I would also like to be able to "copy" an item in the same category so that I can have items for each member of the family in a category. Overall though, this is a great app.

Love it!. I live this app- i have used it for several trips now, all the way from camping trips to weddings to weekend getaways. I have even started a running list of future itemized expenses for grad school that i have been checking off as I pay them, bu using the same format and creating my own categories and items. I have even created a generic "to do" list if things i have to do on an ongoing basis ie grocery store, post office, yoga etc- that i also check off as needed. Love it!

Used to be great, now it doesn't work. I used to love this app. I used it for several trips. Lots of great features. It synced between devices so my packing lists were up to date. Then something went wrong. My iCloud data somehow became unreadable. The synching process never stopped. No matter what I did I couldn't get my customized lists back. Tech support wasn't very helpful. If my in-app purchases could transfer to the pro app then I might consider buying that, but I no longer trust this developer. Now if I want to use this app I have to start over, which I did and iCloud still doesn't work.
