Still the best RPN Calculator app out there!. I grew up with an HP 35 and moved to the 11c. This app is superior to HP. So much more capability and usable functions. I have been using this RPN calculator since it came out many years ago and I love it! Great for engineering calculations, conversions and financial. This is a great product for a die hard engineer that grew up on RPN! Thanks for keeping it going!

allRPNCalc - the best. I have bought very few apps for my phone. The purchase of allRPNCalc is the exception. I spent a few dollars on this several years ago and it is the best use of money for an accessory ever. A powerful RPN calculator, that does everything I need and more. It is regularly updated to keep it in sync with all the updates iOS undergoes. I highly recommend this app to anyone that needs an RPN calculator. You will not find better.

Works great, except. I’ve been using this app for many years and find it great as a financial and general calculator. I calculate loan payments routinely. It has always worked great. However , recently I looked at an amortization chart and could not exit the chart. Stopping and restarting the app did not clear it. I had to restart iOS to get back to the main page. Please fix!

Had it since the original. Use it. Love it.. This has been one of my most used apps over the years. It's had very few if any updates - because it hasn't needed them, until this latest OS release. I was sad to see a notification that this RPN calc wouldn't work anymore. I'm now happy that this new updated version came out. My only suggestions are to make the stack longer and to add 'mils' in the conversions.

Hp-12c +++++. For those of us who grew up using Reverse Polish Notation, RPN is built into our hand. This little calculator app is easy to use, and has many more features than the HP-12C. Weight and volume conversion is often really useful, and it's easy here. Currency conversion! Get updated conversion rates with a couple taps. I've been using this great app for about 7 generations of iPhones.

Great RPN Calc!. Calculations are spot-on and this developer has been kind enough to provide free updates for many years now... Which makes it well worth buying. I've tried others and I still like this one the best. Very easy to use yet it has the depth and breadth you'd expect. I use it frequently for mortgage calculations and amortizations.

Useful update to an excellent app. The help button (?) is well thought out as is the calculator. I've installed a number of calculatotrs and removed most but there are two calculators that i will not remove: allRPNCalc and PCalc. If you want to transition from an algebraic calculator to an RPN calculator, start with PCalc and when you are comfortable install allRPNCalc. By the way, RPN is a superior logic system because when you press an operator button (+, -, X, /, square root, sine, cosine,...) an operation takes place immediately. That is not the case with an algebraic system. Sometimes an operation is delayed, sometimes it takes place immediately.

Comprehensive and easy to use. Have been using RPN calculators since mid 70's. This is thorough, seems complete, straight forward, logical, and easy to use.

Better than HP!. Didn’t think I’d ever say this, but this calculator is better than HP’s. Of course, it doesn’t have all the cool stuff built into a 15, for example, but for what it does it’s very thoughtfully designed and works conveniently well. I also like all the trivia and background sprinkled throughout the documentation, FAQ, etc. Not only is this a very well-designed and useful calculator, but it also educates you on some of the history and science behind implementing floating point math in a binary machine. I’m a very happy customer.

Well done!. I purchase a lot of apps, but haven't yet commented on any - this is one that I really must. I like this calculator a lot. I like the fact that it's RPN. I'm a software developer so the programmer's keyboard comes in handy. What's really special about this calculator is that the developer didn't just give minimum functionality to the various keyboards, but really put in the extra effort to make each one fully functional. I use the trig and financial keyboards a lot as well as the conversion and regular math. It seems like the only one I haven't used yet is the stat, but that too is one I'll be needing. I'm glad that it has a mode to view all the registers and their values easily. The developer did a really nice job on this one. I recommend it! Kudos to Ernest Brock!

Excellent app.. If you are used to RPN calculators, this is the app for you. I used an HP 48G for years and struggled with online calculators. This app. Was an answer to my concerns. Works like a 48G.

EXCELLENT calculator, constructive feedback below. I was looking for an HP32 equivalent, but found that allRPNCalc was better than the real HP calc (except no programmability). The keys are good size, the response is fast, trig accuracy seems good (tan(pi)), register display is nice extra not found on real calc, and on-line update of currency conversion rates are unique to networked calculator. However, some of the currency conversions are inverted wrt arrow keys, e.g. Japanese Yen or Swiss Franc to US dollar. Some of the common conversion rates used for news are opposites, and maybe the online feature used here is not taking that into account. Please fix this. Also, dedicated x^3 and cube-root-x is not necessary given y^x and xth-root-y. 2 limited programmable keys would have been nice. I always use dB's, so 10*log10(x) and 10^(x/10) would have been my choice there. Thanks for a great app.

Superb In Every Way!. I missed having an HP 12C emulator on the iPhone (had one on my Palm). Some how I missed this calculator when looking in the App Store and instead purchased one of the other 12 C emulators. It was ok, but the keys were small, it was slow loading and there was a delay in pressing the key and seeing the response. Then while browsing the App Store one day I found AllRPNCalc for a much cheaper price. It is the best calculator app for the iPhone in my opinion - the keys are large and clear, the display is wonderful. I love the red and green coding used in the display. The key click sound is not annoying as it is on some of the other calculators. Unlike other iPhone calculators this one is fast and accurate. Plus, besides getting a financial calculator that is true to my old 12C, it includes features from other HP RPN calculators from the past. Buy this calculator, you will be very happy. It is reasonably priced, takes up very little memory and the developer has proven to be very fast at fixing bugs.

Go-To Calculator. A super all-in-one tool. I’ve used it every day for years. The conversion tool is especially helpful.

Don't leave home without it. I consider the program of the MOST valuable ones on my iPhone...and wouldn't leave home without it. My wife doesn't understand why I need RPN for routine math, not to mention financial calculations, trig functions and statistics...but I do! When a recent "update" glitch, now resolved, left me without the program for several weeks, I realized how much I missed it, as I found myself trying to open it several times a day. Ultimately, getting it again operative, once I found the instructions on the developer's website, proved ridiculously quick and easy. A particularly nice feature for the Financial section is its nearly automatic generation of a full amortization or depreciation schedule. The one feature I would like to see in the next version would be operation in both the current vertical but also, the horizontal mode, the latter the way one uses the fabled HP11C and HP12C, which I have in the hardwired versions, but which I no longer carry, as allRPNCalc makes them superfluous, rather like a DC-3 in an Airbus 380 era.

Outstanding RPN calculator.... If you like HP calculators, this app should serve you well. I have been using this calculator for years, and it remains one of my all time favorites. It takes a successful HP calc and adds several useful features: unit conversions, currency exchange rates. I also value its ability to perform scientific and financial calculations. I have tried and used more than 20 calculator apps. Some do offer features not in this one. However, it is in my top two calculator apps. So glad the developer has updated this app to be compatible with current iOS versions. Hope other legacy app developers will do the same. The fear of losing this one kept me from being willing to update to the latest iOS. UPDATE: Been using this great app for years, and it never lets me down! Kudos to the developers who have kept this app working throughout all the many iOS changes by Apple.

Best RPN Calc. I grew up using the HP42s, which I loved. I have the phone app for the HP42 also but I use this app as my go to app. Easy to use with all of what I need within a few strokes.

Love this Calculator. Had to have an RPN calculator, and this one has zero downsides. It like every HP in one. The developer is attentive to keeping it up-to-date with ios changes.

Not for iPad. The description says it is optimized for iPad but it’s not. The display is fixed for portrait, does not fill the screen and looks fuzzy. I uninstalled and will try to get a refund.

Great calculator !. I’ve been using this app for years, ever since I lost my HP41. I only got it as a temp, but it quickly became full time. If you like using RON, you can’t beat it. Plus, it’s got a lot of features my old HP didn’t. I find the conversions very helpful (cu yds - cu in, km - mi, etc)

Very very good Calculator. (14-Sep-08) If you prefer the RPN entry method you will like this calculator. The keyboard layout makes sense and the functions are well organized into separate menus. Switching display modes is simple, for example, to select "4 decimal places fixed" simply press the display mode indicator at the upper left until it reads "Fix" and then press "4." You can view the contents of all registers (except the triangle solver) via the help menu icon. Key clicks can be turned on or off for quiet locations. The unit converter is intuitive, making good use of the iPhone/iTouch UI methods. And... the factorial (gamma) function operates correctly, with "-0.5 n!" giving the proper result... many calculators get it wrong or throw an error. This app gets nearly everything right. Some minor cleanup of the look (move the help button to top center and extend the static number & four-function keys) and a 64-bit capability in the programmer's functions will merit a perfect 5 stars, but really: for a first release this is superb.

Love it. This calculator is a real buy at this price. I love all the choices and the ability to get foreign currency quotes. I used to use RPN notation and then lost my HP calculator. This machine is really slick. I couldn't live without it.

I have bought several, but I use this. I like RPN calculators, own three real HPs (17B, 32S, 49G) and own a few emulators and others for the iPhone including well-reputed general purpose or scientific ones. With experience, this one currently outclasses the others of its type. It is not a clone of any particular commercial calculator but it has a broad range of functions, is easy enough to use and is very flexible. This is an economical, efficient, general purpose RPN calculator and I recommend it in that class.

Latest version still BEST Calc. Great app with the feel and reliability of my old HPs. I still go to this calculator first because it is fast and reliable and easily handles complicated calcs. Latest OS updates are great too.

Best Calculator App. I was so relieved when allRPN updated to 64bit. It's one of my most used apps, there is not a better straightforward calculator I have seen, and I went through a few. It handles everything that can be thrown at it. Initially it took some time to get used to RPN, but now it is second nature. Can't recommend this app enough

allRPNcalc. I bought this about 6 mths ago, and use it every day. Reverse Polish input becomes second nature, it has heaps of functions, and I like the 18 memories available. It is the most useful calculator I have bought. The latest upgrade caused the app to fail to load and this was a big problem because I needed it for end of month financial work. I sent an email to the developer round midnight and had a reply and a four minute fix in about one hour! That is REAL service. Get this app! Great app; even better support. If you grew up using HP RPN calculators, this is the calculator for you. It's exactly what you'd expect. And more. But even more important. I ran into a snag, emailed the developer, and had a response *in minutes*!! Was up and running minutes after that. For a $6 product, that's amazing. I'm such a fan, it's hard to put into words.

Help!!!!. I bought this app because I have been looking for an app that is similar to the HP 17b. Man was I wrong. I have messed with this app for an hour and can not get the financial calculator portion of this app to match my HP 17b. Does anyone know where to find a user friendly app that has true financial calculator capability? Everything I find simple calculates a loan payment or the calculations are wrong.

Works great!. It constantly crashed the first 10 times I used it but the problem seemed to go away now. This is one of the best 5 buck programs I've bought for the iPhone. Keep up the great work. Would love to have cooler icon to display. I'd also recommend to make the Help page a bit more detailed for first time users.

Wonderful!. Best calculator in the app store.

Well worth $5. Easy to use. I like the built-in conversions and the triangle solver is a nice touch, though it makes it so easy it feels like cheating :) One minor issue that I hope is isolated is that in RAD mode, tan(pi) returns -1.22e-16 instead of 0. Would like to be able to create custom units. Still hoping for a replacement for my TI-89 (CAS, 3D graphing, Symbolic Calculus, programming, etc.). This isn't it, but I replaced several free calculators with this one and freed some home screen space. Considering the TI89 is around $150, I would expect to pay more than $5 for something with similar functionality. Something that reads TI Basic would be great so I don't have to re-write my programs.

Superb multi-functions with a usable interface.. Although I have a different preference in the placement of the keys (I prefer an HP41 layout with the operand keys to the left of the numeric keys) and there is no programmability to this calculator, for what it can do and for the relative ease of being able to do it, I give this app five stars.

Continued Errors in Version 2. Version 2 fixes the error of not providing the financial functions, but adds others. The key that is supposed to switch between modes of SCI, FRAC, ENG, and FIX is set to OCT and does not change regardless of function. Additionally, the math mode in FRAC mode worked great when working mathematics/engineering functions that required the use of fractions, but the math functioning does not work with the OCT mode. Hopefully the software engineer fixes this as quickly as the last patch.

Great calculator. The financial functions are modeled after legendary HP 12c. Plus it has scientific and math modes. 12c emulators (that I also have :-) are $10-$20. Here you get them + much more and cheaper. Great, great product!

Pros: Excellent layout/colors. 2-line visible RPN stack! Multiple function sets. After searching for and downloading/paying for several RPN calculators, and as a previous user of the HP-48sx back in engineering college and the HP-32SII back in medical residency, allRPNcalc (version 2) is the first RPN calculator that deserves a spot on the front page of my iPhone as a worthy replacement of the functionality and feel of my still-functioning HP calculators. The overall design/layout/colors are well-planned, efficient, and basically beautiful - I keep turning on my iPhone just to look at allRPNcalc, which is an impressive demo app when showing off the features of the iPhone. Finally - an RPN calc with TWO levels of the (four-level) stack displayed! Why don't more RPN calcs do this? I would prefer seeing all 4 levels, but 2 is significantly better than 1. Plus you could always use the roll "R" button or press the information "i" button to see a full list of the stack and registers. And finally - a large "Enter" button! It seems the developers took all of the basic functionality of the old HP RPN calculators, but instead of simply duplicating appearance and multiple shift keystrokes and limited displays (as many other RPN apps do), they smartly modernized it to the iPhone platform.     Additional features include display of the last operation in the upper right of the screen, easy change of the display output mode (including fractions) using the top green buttons, a triangle solver, built in help that lists the functions of all the keys, and unit conversions (including currencies) with an interesting scroll-wheel interface. The information "i" button is in an odd location, but makes more sense when you realize that the bottom 5 rows of grayish buttons are fixed. The top three rows of brown buttons change their function depending on the "mode", selected by the row of green buttons. I do not use the financial features enough to make any comment on those available functions.     Although I agree with many suggestions of the reviewers below, I am giving allRPNcalc 5 stars for design and functionality. Suggestions: A reviewer below suggested an "undo" function ("last x" can be helpful but won't preserve y) - how about implementing undo by swiping finger across the number display? As a possible solution for displaying all four levels of the stack, how about pressing and holding the number display will trigger a small window that pops up (same red on black, small font like the stack/registers list) quickly showing t,z,y,x, and then disappears when your finger lets go.

What just happened. I love this APP!!! Best on the market. I go to use it this morning and it says I have demo version and to buy a legal copy......I bought a legal copy ORIGINALY and have been using it for at least 2 years....I even tried to buy another copy but the App Stores shows it as already purchased and won't let me...I'm stuck............HELP

Pretty good, but wish like hp48. Wish the stack worked like the 48 with drop and roll functions and don't like the double entry...it's old style. Not very customizable, but good layouts. The shrunken stack is annoying and the color scheme is hard to read. Why do functions go on top of the stack? Again annnoying. Still...it's pretty good despite these things. There really isn't anything that simulates the 48 well. This is my 6th rpn download and all dissapoint.

Fantastic Calculator. I really love this application. Especially now that it has a amortization table. It is just like using my trusty HP 12C only it is a lot better because it can do so much more. The price is fair and I am very happy with this application. If you are looking for an RPN caluclator you will not go wrong with this app!

Without question the best!!!!. I am a finance student who currently works in a bank. I am constantly calculating various financial figures. In college, I used the TI 32 financial and a HP 30B business pro. This calculator is WAY better than either of them! It has a graphing feature, as well as amortization tables...not to mention it has 4 other forms of calculators to toggle between. Buying a new HP 30b costs about $60! this app IS TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE (especially compared to the name-brand fin. calc apps)!

By far the best RPN app out there. I bought 3 popular and well rated RPN calculator apps 6 months ago and this one is - BY FAR - my choice over the others AND above the HP48GX handheld I used for years. It is an incredible bargan at $5.99. By way of background; I am a Mechanical PE for 20 years, and I know how to put it through its paces. How would I improve it? Add a paper-tape feature. Otherwise - you nailed it! Fantastic work!

Have Learned RPN? You NEED This!. I cut my calculator teeth on an HP-34c, upgraded at one point to an HP-32sII, and bought an HP-48g days before they were discontinued. Though the allRPNCalc cannot graph (that would be an awesome update, if developed) nor offer stepwise programming, it has plenty of numerical oomph to satisfy most calculation problems, including those of binary, octal, and hexadecimal. iPad users note: this is an iPhone/iPodTouch oriented app that must be viewed in portrait mode to operate.

Great app. It is definitely worth $5! Now I can finally do my scientific calculations on the iPhone.

Richwolski. I tried a few rpn apps and this one (the last) is it, has a practical layout and is easy to toggle between modes. Also the "look" is great, similar to Apple's built in calc (keys) - a personal preference. Great job!!

Best all-around calculator in the store. If you're looking for a feature-rich RPN calculator, you will not do better than this one at any price. It rolls up the features of multiple calculators out there with price tags EACH double allRPNCalc. I'm particularly impressed with the display editing features - fixed, scientific and engineering floating, fraction - all with accuracy and precision that can't be beat. Besides the usual math and trig functions, there are financial calculations (the equal of my trusty HP 12C), statistics, programmers functions, unit conversions - this one has them all at a very reasonable price. Visually, it's a beauty with a clean interface and thoughtful features like stack display and clear stack key, to name a couple.

Most comprehensive. I have tried a bunch of the RPN calculators and this is the easiest to use and most comprehensive of them. This is the one you will end up using most of the time, so save time and start with this one.
