They changed it.. I have several apps for searching for houses that I refer to. Trulia was not my favorite for this reason - you have to actually click on a house to see the pics instead of being able to quickly scan across the pics from the main page. This seems like a little thing, but when you're looking at so many houses, and looking at many of the same houses again and again, these things make a difference. That having been said, Trulia had something that none of the others had - maps of the crime in the area of the house. This was invaluable, and I would get all my addresses and plug them in here to see those crime maps. And now it seems that they've taken that off. On my mom's phone and mine, we can't find it there anymore. That's a shame. Not much reason for me to keep using this now.

Limited filtering. I have been using a few different apps and trulia is the most inconvenient. They offer less options for filtering. I live in Florida and will only buy a house that has a pool. I entered “pool” as a keyword, yet half of the houses shown don’t have a pool. I don’t have this problem on other apps. Sure this app has a lot of houses, but I spend most of my time looking at ones that should be filtered out. I find better houses faster on other apps like realtor and Zillow because they have better search parameters. Also, I have multiple saved searches set up, and get notified as houses show up, yet my app says I don’t have any saved searches created? Trulia has good potential but needs some work.

Filters. Looking for a home is always a struggle and it only gets harder when you have pets. Being able to specify more on what your looking for would be really helpful. I am constantly waisting time on homes that wont accept my pet due to size or breed. Im unsure why the renters are able to specify small or large dogs but as someone looking for a home i only get the dog or cat option. We should be able to filter more options or maybe a more advanced profile where i can put in who would live in the household, what breed and size pets i have as well as the types of homes and areas im looking for... Theres alot of areas in our city i would t want to live and it would be nice to be able to highlight areas your interest in or uninterested in. That way you only see properties that match what your looking for.

My favorite home app!. I love looking at homes in this app. It is by FAR the best, and I love that it gives me the crime reports especially when looking at areas I am unfamiliar with. My only suggestion for them would be to allow a filter for HOA fees. I am thankful they show them, but I would love to filter out homes that have astronomical HOA fees to make it easier for the future. I also would love a thumbs down button! Sometimes I look at homes I’ve looked at before and just forgot about, I liked the home but there was a reason I didn’t save it to my faves. So just a thumbs or even a check to show me that I’ve previously viewed it, would be great!

Was Good. I was enjoying this and found it quite useful for our house hunting. However, about a week ago I started getting notifications for NYC apartment rentals. I don’t live in NY, I have never searched in NY, and I most definitely am not interested in renting. On top of this, suggestions used to be spot on; now they suggest houses which are in no way in my search parameters - not even close. $500,000 homes are not in my family’s budget. Lastly, the app tells me I have 8-10 new notifications and it turns out there is only one. Maybe this is just a bug, but it’s a dumb one. Fix these things and get 5 stars. But the app has been more annoying lately than helpful.

Updates are bad. A lot of changes were made to the app in the most recent update that weren’t that great. I regret applying the update to the point I don’t even want to use the app anymore. When I search for a specific address now I get a map boundary of the area the house could be. It’s like a game which green oval on the map is the house I was looking for. Before I could search an address and it would pull up the exact listing. The history of what you have viewed is gone. Previously you could click on a house it would turn grey and remain grey even after closing the app and reopening it. Now the app only maintains that history until it’s closed. I used this feature every time I used the app. It was helpful in knowing that anything green was new. Now I have to click through everything looking at 100 houses I’ve already looked at. The amount of detail for each listing is gone. Before you could tell the exact type of heat and air conditioning a house had, central, forced air, radiant, etc. now I get a yes or a no whether the house has heat or ac. Along with this you have two categories cooling system and air conditioning, what’s the difference? Cooling system is always yes whether a house has central air or not from what I’ve seen. Cooling system can be yes and air conditioning can be no, it doesn’t make sense.

Love this app except for 1 thing. Love this app and its functionality, the option to remove boundaries when searching, the filters, the mapping, etc. all fantastic. I just have one problem: some of us who are retired are interested in low-cost housing which means looking at mobile homes in nice areas. The app never lists the space rent. All mobile home parks have space rent. So when a mobile home only costs maybe $150,000,Or $80,000, but the space rent is $1800 a month, that makes it prohibitive. Under HOA they list “none”When that is where the space rent should be listed because it’s the equivalent of paying an HOA fee in a condo complex. If they changed this feature and made it more honest, I would give this app five stars for sure.

I Used to Like This App. When this app sends you updates and recommendations for areas you are interested in buying in, it’s great. I’m searching for homes exclusively in the NH seacoast region and no where else. But somehow it started sending me recommendations for San Diego, CA claiming it’s based on my search history. I never searched for homes in San Diego, there is no way that I can find to disable that search location in the app, and I’ve sent two email requests to disable that search and both have gone unanswered. Now I’m getting emails and recommendations almost exclusively for homes in San Diego, which I could care less about, and my desired search area is virtually ignored. The app is now useless to me. Why can’t the developers allow you to disable search areas? How hard can that be? So be careful if you do a search for a friend or out of curiosity search in a location you’re only mildly interested in because then you’ll be inundated with results from those areas and not be able to turn it off!

Error with Feed tab. The app had been working great, now all of a sudden I keep getting message that says, “please check your internet connection and try again,” in the Feed tab. I can still search, but that’s all. My internet is working just fine and I’m not having problems with any of my other apps that use internet. I’ve tried swiping down to refresh as suggested, but still not working. It’s been like this for about the last 8 hours. I’ve also rebooted my iPad to see if that was the problem and same error message. Please fix!

Impossible to stop unwanted notifications. About 10 months ago, I was using Trulia to search for houses in two areas, let's call them A and B. Eight months ago, I stopped looking for houses in area B. However, I continued to receive notifications in the app for new listings in area B. This continued for months, so I finally contacted support and asked how I could disable notifications for area B when I was no longer interested in it. After two months of back-and-forth with their 'support' person along with mutliple pinkie-promises that it would be fixed as well as lots of "just wait seven more days!!!!", I was finally told it was my own fault and to wait another 30 days for it to clear. (Nevermind the insults!) I've wasted an incredible amount of time on an app that basically shows pretty pics and lots of inaccurate listing information. I am now using the MLS directly with my realtor, the information is 1000% more accurate, and I don't get unending empty promises from a company with useless customer support.

Pretty good but could use some tweaks. I like the app but when it comes to renting the person posting the rental should HAVE to provide certain information and pictures. Like how much is a deposit, do they need my credit score(cause some places do require it), are pets allowed(this should have to be answered to let people like pets know if the rental will work for them or not), what utilities are included(and don’t let them put wood floor as a utility or appliances that’s a perk not a utility), must have one pic of each room. This will help save both parties time, if I don’t like what I see on the profile why bother seeing it in person.

poor and often not showing most listing. This app regularly doesn’t show most of the listings other apps show. Often quite a bit of them. Not sure why anyone would want to use this app. as you won’t see alll the available listings that you may be seeking for a designated area. If you don’t believe me, give it a try by comparing realtor dot com to what this is listing. You’ll easily see at least 25% of the listings are absent in Trulia. The app. itself is tremendously glitchy when searching and clunky to use the settings. When I to contact a listing agent I couldnt get anyone. Instead I got a long list of credit application questions. I was only able to contact someone by calling an actually agency and giving them the MLS number of the home I was looking at. This app is horrible.

Want to love but GLITCHES. I’m giving up on this app because the glitches make it almost unusable and I came here to see if other people have been having the same issue thinking maybe there will be an update that will fix this soon but I see reviews from 4 years ago about the same thing so clearly it’s not something the will fix. Recommendations are not accurate to the saved searches and now I’m bombarded with 20+ notifications a day for places not even close to my location or budget or what I’m looking for. Also when you go into saved searches and try to delete them they never actually delete. Filters never seem to work accurately and the fact that I can’t edit and delete the searches and recommendations makes it unusable and if people have been complaining about it for over 4 years it’s time to pick a different platform.

Do not request a showing - Constant Spam. I really liked this app for browsing for homes and seeing the data they provide. But seriously, DO NOT request a showing through them. I hardly ever got spam calls before I did and now they pop up every couple hours at least, even with spam blocking. I also kept receiving texts from them trying to get me to use one their agents even though I found my own right after I’d requested the showing initially - I had to block the number they were texting me from. And I still started receiving texts from multiple other agents trying to set up showings. I literally got in touch with my own agent right after sending the request through Trulia and had told them never-mind right away after the first time they texted me they, and I’m still getting constantly hounded.

app isn’t working anymore. I love this app and I’ve been using it for about a year to look for a new apartment. it started out great and the app was really helpful in my fiancé and I’s search. however, since the last update, the app just isn’t working at all. it’s been about two weeks now that I can’t get the app to even open. I’ve tried redownloading the app a few times but it’s still won’t open. it’s just a blank white screen with a red alert at the bottom that says “cannot open app, please try again later.” I’m not sure if it’s a bug with the new update or if it’s something wrong with my phone, but I’m really disappointed. I’m still getting notifications multiple times a day for new listings and it’s very annoying that I can’t look at them. please fix it so it can be one of my favorite apps again!

It would be better if you could delete/change alerts. This app is fine except for one thing. If you are looking for homes in a specific area for a while and then one day you change your mind and would rather look elsewhere, you can’t change your alert settings to exclude the area you don’t want. I keep getting notifications for homes in an area I’m no longer interested in moving to and I 1) can’t delete the alerts, and 2) can’t change the alert criteria to exclude that area. I don’t get any alerts for homes in areas I’m ACTUALLY interested in, which is very annoying. And my alert notifications won’t go away unless I mark them as “read.” I hope this feature is changed with a future update.

Great Potential with Limitations. I’m thankful for the flexibility in this app. It can easily transition categories, from ‘rental’, to ‘for sale’, to ‘sold’. My partner and I used this app to successfully find our current rental and are now using it for house hunting; sort of. If you select ‘single family home’ there shouldn’t be any townehomes, row houses, or attached living spaces. Furthermore, when we type ‘garage’ as an added feature I’d rather the list not include options with ‘garage parking’. Lastly, and probably the feature trulia has the most control over, is I wish there was a ‘remove option’. I understand that the houses viewed are ‘grayed out’ but I think it’d be especially helpful in deselecting houses/units which are undesirable. The app is otherwise easy to use, intuitive, and I’m grateful that turning off notifications/emails is easily achieved. I’d give it a 3.5 if possible.

Stop hijacking my search with begging. I’m in the middle of a search. I’m looking at a house. Suddenly! As if on cue! The app whisks me out of my view screen and asks, “do you like Trulia?” Uh, no, no I don’t! And if you click YES it sends you to the iTunes Store to leave a review. If you click NO it shunts you into a feedback form to force communication with their developers. If you take me out of my flow to demand feedback, I will give it to you. And you won’t like it. I don’t like the Trulia app. I hate it for its inappropriately-timed begging for feedback. I dislike the fact that you can’t clear or escape the Recommended properties. I think the crime view is fairly inaccurate based on downplaying crime wherever you’re searching, but I could be wrong about this aspect. Aren’t you glad you pushed me to leave feedback, Trulia?

Useful app. It’s useful and easier to navigate compared to other apps. The listings go up a bit later but if you aren’t looking in a super hot zone where days matter, it’s a pretty good app. There needs to be a cancel for request information and the DTI meter I think is backwards too. There definitely need to be some fixes but like I said, it’s easier to navigate. Also, foreclosures, more are listed on this app than the other apps I use, and they more often than not, they pan out to still be up for sale. I actually type the addresses into Zillow, as they sometimes provide pictures inside. Trulia provides a street view always so you can get a rough feeling on how the neighborhood is and if the house needs a lot of TLC on the outside or not. Trulia’s maps of disaster, crime and what not are extremely useful and accurate thus far. It has its flaws but it also provides some aspects other apps don’t.

Inaccurate and out of date. Do not waste your time on this app if you are seriously looking for a home. This app is always late to post new listings or update existing listings. I am constantly getting notifications for new listings from other home apps and then I get them from Trulia like weeks later. My notifications are set up correctly on Trulia too so this isn’t user error. My husband and I put an offer on a home in the first week of January and it was pending several days later. I JUST got the notification from Trulia this morning saying the home was pending and we are closing on the home tomorrow. Redfin had that weeks ago. That’s almost a month late, Trulia. The only reason I still have this app is for the heat map that shows the crime reports. That’s super helpful and the only reason it got two stars.

Too engrossing!. Since I’ve downloaded this app, initially looking for coastal retirement home in an area of the country I’m not terribly familiar with, I’ve lost days and days of my time. I open the app, I begin searching, and the next thing I know 10 hours have gone by and I want to keep looking! Searching for a home, naturally, takes a lot of time. But this app has allowed me to become so familiar with home trends in places I never thought to look that I’ve expanded my search to pretty much the entire country. I’ve tried other real estate listing searches and none of them compare to the information this app brings to my searching finger tips, on a whim. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because it does not allow my search to expand outside the USA. I mean if I’m looking for a coastal home, why wouldn’t I also consider the Caribbean, Mexico, South America? Why doesn’t Trulia provide those listings? Get to work folks!

App is severely glitchy!. Previously this app worked very well however in the past week or two it has been extremely glitchy. It will send me recommendations that are completely outside of my search parameters and also it will send me a push notification for a new property listing only to go to the app and into my alerts and have it tell me to ‘set up’ new alerts as if none are already there. If I hit refresh the previously saved searches list will reappear. Lastly, I tried to report the issues via the ‘report a problem’ option and it redirects me to an apple site where it then tells me that ‘I do not have the product’ in order to do a support request… very frustrating!

Good luck contacting property owners. 2 stars for being able to see pictures of properties and overall ease of searching for apartments using the map. I would give it no stars when it comes to attempting to contact a property owner/manager to inquire of availability. I have reached out to several managers and never receive a call or email reply. Makes me wonder how often listings are updated? What’s the point of this app if I never get a call back to attempt to get an apartment. Other websites seem to be more efficient such as cragsL. Good luck actually trying to get an apartment using this app, you’re better off driving around town and call apartments that have a vacancy sign outside with a phone #.

App/Listings don’t follow filters. I used to really enjoy using Trulia. The interface was cleaner and more user friendly than some of the other apps (layout, ability to swipe through pictures). However, I’m assuming to some changes, searching for properties that fit my specifications has become annoying and cumbersome: 1) Lot size is very important to me but I can’t sort my search results by lot size. 2) I’m not interested in condos, apartments, lots/land, or auctions but those properties frequently show up in my results, no matter what filters I apply to my search. This wouldn’t have been a problem in the past, however 3) there is no longer an option to hide properties that I don’t care for. This was always a great option to have because I know that there are some properties that I won’t change my mind on, however I have to see them and scroll past a ton of them without the option to hide. I used to love what Trulia does, now I just get so frustrated with the fact that it’s not allowing a personalized search that I’m going to have to delete it.

By far the best real estate search engine for a while. Trulia is accurate, easy of use, and has all the appropriate features to refine and gather most of the public information available. It has been a must for online search and I have no doubt it will be hard to beat if I rely on their ability to improve their application and website and how smartly they are built. Love it. We used it to source the house we bought in Madison and are using it to hunt for a loft / condo / townhouse in Chicago. Way way better than Zillow... always been and thanks Zillow for not having killed it. Trulia should be your name now Zillow ;)

Wonderful App. I use this app on the daily to look at houses and have used this app to move into a home before. I like that it asks residents their opinions on the area they live in as well as information on parking, how festive the neighborhood is, etc., and that it shows the crime rate in the area of a particular house. It answers most of the questions you have for a realtor before your actual appointment with them! Well thought out and easy to navigate! The only problem I have with this app is with the houses I have saved that are no longer available or off market. I can’t remove them from my saved list. I have tried over and over but I can’t get the houses to fall off of my saved list which is irritating because then my saved houses that are currently available get buried under houses that haven’t been available for months. Other than that, I love the app!

Decent app, one major flaw. I like this app because it has a lot of options, especially viewing neighborhood data like schools and crime etc... However there is a huge problem of moron jerk faces posting “lot” or “land” that “would be great to build on” and crap like that on home listings. Additionally when builders list “not yet built” but list “plans and a lot”. This is so frustrating and these listings should be pulled. They should have their own section for people who actually are interested in that. This app would be 5 miles ahead of all other platforms if they would add the ability to “report” those listings, to be pulled so that everyone doesn’t have their time wasted by lying manipulative jerks. Perhaps if a certain user gets 3 or more flags in a given time they should have their account suspended. This is an ongoing problem lately and I’m sure I’m not the only prospective buyer getting mad about this.

OK, but some annoying glitches. I get email alerts of properties that may interest me, and downloaded this app thinking it would be easier to view them on my iPhone than opening in my browser. It’s not really. The email links now open only in the app, no choice. When I go through an email I may click on several properties so I can then delete the email. The properties stack up in the app, and there appears to be no choice but to see them in that order. To see the next property I must close the one I’m looking at, and can’t go back unless I favorite it. I don’t want all those favorites, just an ability to move between three or four properties. There also seems to be no way to get a link to send without starting a false text and then copying the link. Even starting a false email does not give a copyable link. Yes, I can send a direct email to someone through the app, but that is usually not what I want to do. I want a link I can paste into an email or text I am writing outside the app. If there are solutions to these issues they are ones I have not been able to find in way too much time spent looking, which reflects on the usability of the app. These issues are annoying enough that I am going back to using my browser, and since there’s no choice where things open that means deleting the app entirely.

Like, but. Trulia is fun to use on travel: however, it assumes you are actively looking for real estate and starts to send you house recommendations. I have had to ask realtors to stop solicitations, which they are happy to do. It would be nice to indicate to the App whether you were SERIOUSLY looking, or just looking. Also, when you choose a house to look at from the list, it does NOT indicate where the house is on the MAP like Zillow. I really like that feature on Zillow. Trulia allows you to REMOVE BOUNDARY and look where ever you want. This is handy when looking for, example, lakefront and are flexible with location. It doesn’t leave much room for privacy, since anyone can look up how much anyone else just spent for a house or how much anyone’s house is worth, indicating how much wealth someone has. I also wonder if less honorable people case a neighborhood. I, in general, like to see the cost of living by looking up houses while on the road. I also enjoy looking at gorgeous houses in my favorite vacation neighborhoods.

Flakey. I have a love hate relationship with this app. I love the fact that it doesn’t look at specific realtor house (zillow, realtor, etc). My issue is that it is flakey showing houses. I can look at houses one day and then the next day won’t show anything at all! Not even the ones I viewed the day before! Before I would get a message saying nothing found try changing filters. Still wouldn’t show anything. But now I don’t even get that message! No houses show! The app isn’t hanging up. I can still see my favorites. This issue really needs fixed. It happens on all 3 of my devices, but I’ve noticed that my much older tablet doesn’t have this issue as much as the newer devices!

Almost perfect. I really like Trulia and it is my go to real estate app but 2 things keep me from giving it 5 stars. First, there is no filter for HOA. I want to search for homes in neighborhoods with NO HOA. The second deficiency is with Trulia’s “Recommended for you” homes. They don’t even come close to my saved search. The homes are often much smaller or on lots that are much smaller than my minimum requirements. Wastes my time looking at them. Things I like: the filters (with exception noted above), the large photos (much larger than most other real estate apps), ability to save homes and search criteria and you can search for homes anywhere in the U.S.

I used to love this app. I’m not sure what changed but in the past week while scrolling through rental listings I have gotten emails from property managers wanting more information regarding my “inquiry” on their properties that I have not inquired about AT ALL. I am even getting phone calls and I have NO IDEA where they would have gotten my personal cell phone number!!! The only thing I can think of is that option that’s at the forefront of every listing “check availability with one click”-that needs to be placed elsewhere in the listing to avoid accidental touches as it seems sensitive or it should at least be layered with another popup that asks if you are sure you want to proceed-It still DOES NOT explain the phone calls!!!

Trulia the truth. The option of circling the area you want covered to narrow your search is one of the best options granted on the trulia app. That gives you exactly how far where your search is from where you currently are. The mortgage and tax history is laid out for you and most of the properties has a good amount of pictures to help narrow your search. After you circle your scrub area you can choose from map by clicking the green price tag on the map or what I like to do is switch to the map view and scroll through the listings that way. All in all for house hunting and I’m sure for apartment hunting just the same Trulia helps you get the job done. Now idk if Trulia excludes certain listings or provides some that other apps don’t have, that might be based on bank and realtor agreements with the app itself but like I said this app to me is a wave. Easy and convenient. Helpful app so go and cop that you heard! Happy hunting.

Notification Spam. The app overall is of a pretty good quality. But ultimately, I had to uninstall it. It sends me too too many notifications. Trulia Prosuct team calls these “alerts”. I even gave it a second chance, and bothered to try and reduce the notification spam by toggling settings/preferences. But, that wasn’t enough. The app continued to show a notification indicator with 18 new notifications the next day, even after I had adjusted settings and cleared the existing “alerts”. I don’t know how to make that stop, and I don’t have all day to figure it out. Completely ceasing my engagement with the product and brand was a much easier option. Maybe I will engage again someday? But for now, I’m all about that Zillow and Redfin lifestyle.

Crime rate map. Hi! I love trulia. That’s how I’ve found multiple places to live/rent through college. The one thing I’m a little upset about is that the crime rate map isn’t there anymore. I lived by that thing. I am a paranoid lady and I used that to help determine what I felt was safe enough for me. Obviously it wasn’t the Bible or anything but it was a HUGE help. Now my boyfriends sister is looking for a place to live and it’s a very patchy city. As soon as I heard she was moving I ran to trulia to see the safest areas…and it was gone :’( pls bring it back !:) it was so so helpful especially because my sister is now in college and it can be a helpful tool to her as well. And I will be looking for a house soon so it would be great to have it then!

Bogs down device taking user data and uses up your battery. I’ve used this app for 1+ years and don’t recommend the app because of what it’s doing in the background. Within the last 4-6 months, I’ve noticed reduced performance using my device such as Safari pages taking a long time to load and my battery life quickly eaten away. Battery went from 1-2 days between charging to less than 2 hours if using say to read a book which was less than before. This app owns that it takes your personal info and pretty much anything it can gain from you. The circular icon noting data transfer while in Safari rarely stops even when I’m just reading a long article or using a recipe. When I check battery usage, Trulia is like 86% of use!! Sorry but “free” app is taking too much so I’ve deleted. I’ll go back to using RE sites through web browsers which are better at limiting data grab.

Looking to Relocate? Trulia is the app to use!!!. I find this app to be very helpful and for the most part it has been accurate as far as crime rates in the neighborhoods and reviews on local schools, etc. which is a plus for me and something that is very important to consider always. I found my first apartment using this trulia app and it was quick and simple and made it a pleasant and hassle free process and experience. I was able to do everything through the app such as viewing photos, read reviews, and schedule a visit to view the property while also having the accessibility to any other contact information I might need if I had any further questions which I was surprised and thankful I received prompt responses from the agents. Great app definitely recommended to anyone looking to make your next move!!!

What is missing in Trulia. Good application with the wealth unique and useful information, for example - demographic data. Unfortunately the use of Trulia requires some data from other search engines: walking score, for example. None of the known to me application allows to eliminate from the search something like : carpet floors, first floor of the apartment building, the absence (not the amount) of the reserve account, number of the residents/families in the community, etc . All of this could be additionally supplied (in the extra “broker’s” field) by the knowledgeable listings broker . It will adds listing broker value and make the potential customer contact the source.

Great App. I can’t speak for sellers but as a potential home purchaser I love this app. They include lots of information that includes crime school taxes home insurance you name it and although some sellers for one reason or another do not include photos they still tell you s much as possible but to buyers I am not going to check out a house that I have no idea what it looks inside As a single woman with only one income I cannot afford an expensive home and many lower cost homes are in crime ridden neighborhoods but being able to see the crime and names of the actual crimes committed over the passed year is a very useful tool that I have not found in any other reality app.

No one replies. I have been on this app for months trying to find a rental property. While the app itself is easy to navigate and use, I can honestly say that I have not heard back from one property management company or landlord at all! It’s a scam that these rentals are requiring application and payment up from to apply to simply view or tour a rental, but to not follow up with you or notify that your application has not been selected for whatever reason is completely unprofessional. There should be a way Trulia can track these scam listings because I refuse to believe I am the only person that has paid to apply for several properties without even a single email or call back. I have since stopped applying now that I’ve caught on, but it’s a shame to be taken advantage of when I am in desperate need and in search for a place to call home.

Irritating. On the app, I can’t find my ‘searches’ like I could the last time I used the app. Nor only see the homes that have piqued my interest. I can’t swipe away homes I’m not interested in. I get recommendations for locations I’m nowhere near and at prices way beyond my interest. I should be able to have defined parameters to a search, with only notifications for homes fitting those parameters, with ability to ‘deny’ properties and not see them within my search again, and should be able to open my searches each with its own criterion and see only the properties I haven’t ‘refused’ and that fit those criterion... if you want a list of homes available that may or may not be what interest you, this app is super. If you’d like to use this app to narrow your selection and monitor places of interest, go for a different one!!!

Almost perfect but too difficult to see lot size. I don’t know exactly why I like this app over others for searching real estate. Something about the base functionality is more fluid or something but I can’t exactly place my finger on it. But I have to use a second app to see details more easily. I believe it’s because the website posts lot size on the photos. The app does not and I think lot size is a key feature for buying. The app doesn’t display it anywhere without expanding menus for mor info and I still have to hunt for it. I’m sure the app could have other improvements but I don’t use it as my primary right now.

Worst experience ever. It's too competitive to even rent a home with these apps, Zillow, Trulia, realtor . When I first started using this app, I didn't expect to compete against other people. I thought this would be more of a home warming welcome like I get at the dealership when I go to purchase my first new car I didn't expect it to be like my first job. applying to multiple jobs and hoping and praying to see, which one gives you the opportunity to make money. This is how every app feels when you're looking to rent a home not the best experience I would never recommend using apps for rent maybe for looking to buy homes, but never for rent or leasing, I recommend always walking in to a leasing office for a better experience and better opportunity.

Trulia. I don’t like the fact that there’s no receipt of messages or a way to follow up with places you may be interested in. I’ve tried to look into several places I’ve sent “emails”, “1 click availability”, and I haven’t heard back from 1 of these places and there’s no way to check if you’re “message” has went through or maybe I’m not using the app right idk but as right now, I don’t seem to like how that app works in that aspect. There should be a message area through the app that shows receipt that I reached out to realtors and they can reach back out to clients through the app. I’m waiting on an email (reply) that I don’t even know that was received. Frustrating.

Pros and cons. Cons: The major issue I am having right now is that the app won't recognize that I've changed my alert settings. It keeps showing me homes for rent in an area that isn't in my saved searches, and I have unchecked showing homes in the surrounding area. I am purchasing, not renting. Currently, when I try to go to the alert settings it gives me an error message and shows a blank screen. Pros: I enjoy this app for its street view, and it gives more information than other home search apps don't have. Sometimes it even lists homes before Realtor. The price drop alert is a great feature. Other than that, it does what all the other similar apps do.

Pretty good app. This app is usually one of the most up to date when it comes to new listings. Think it’s pretty good. However, I would highly recommend a dedicated field for Master on the Main. Just like there are fields for number of bedrooms, # of full bathrooms, or half bathrooms there can be a field for Master on Main. It can just say Master on Main: yes/no. That would cut down on time for people who are looking for it or not. There are people who don’t want buy a house with the master on the main fl and there are some who won’t buy a house unless it has that feature. This would also help with filtering because houses can be included or excluded based on the yes/no.

I like it and I don't. Like I'm sure others have said, you c ant clear recommended, and sometimes the recommendations are no where near what you're interested in, or can even afford (as much as I'd like to be able to afford a quarter million dollar home, throwing it in my face doesn't help :)). Another issue I have is the FEED. It started out being a good thing. But now, houses I've no interest in (maybe saved them at one point but are no longer) pop on and off the market DAILY, and fill the entire feed. There has to be away to report listings that are constantly on and off the market (possible fake listings) or at least remove them permanently. I don't want to see the same two houses 24 times on my feed jumping on and off he market. However, the positives are that typically I find more houses on this app than I do others. I call them "Hidden" listings, because living in a woodsy and farmsy Midwestern state, a lot of listings in these areas don't get listed on other apps, from what I can tell at least. With the last update I thought it was easier to "unsave" listings, but with them popping up a hundred times in my feed, I'm not so sure it worked haha. I still use the app, just think it could be better. N

Love Trulia app!. I have looked at real estate for sale & rent in different parts of the North East & in Northern VA. This app is easy to use. I like it better than the competitors because it has more features. You can get a street view of the property, schools, ratings & a crime report in relation to where the property is located. It shows a color scheme to show the amount of crime. I’ve not seen this on other apps. There is also a map that you can enlarge to see what cities are around your property or you can zoom in for local street details. There are many pictures of the homes inside & out & many details are listed. I give this app an A+.

Needs adjustments. I do like the app. I would like to see the app be easier to use. I would like to be able to put a thumbs down for houses I don’t like or I no longer wish to see. I feel like after looking at so many I sometimes end up wasting time looking at the same one again. I would like to also be able to share the same list with my spouse. I will also share the same feed back with other apps . I hope one app can make this possible. I would rather use the app that does. Looking for a house is time consuming enough , I would like to see this be possible I would definitely be easier. Thank you

Probably great for studios, infuriating for bigger. This app should be great. I appreciate that one of the filters is how close it is to public transportation stops, something I haven’t seen on other similar apps I’ve tried. However, when using filters, particularly price and bedroom number, it’s immensely flawed. Instead of searching out places that offer the selected number of rooms within your budget, it finds places that offer units that meet either criteria. So if you’re looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, it pulls up places with studios in your budget even though units in the size you’re actually needing are way over budget. Trying to sort through them all to find one that actually works for you is such a headache. All that said, if they correct this I think it will be one of the more helpful apps of its kind. (Also their “leave feedback” button is giving an error, so this is currently the only way to make suggestions like this).

Truliatastic. This app has made my USA property search such a pleasure! Highly recommend it - get downloading :)

Trulia. Very very good site, love to look at homes through TRULIA,cheers Cheri from Australia,

Too easy to use! You will find what you need!. Loving it!

Only for America. No point if you're house hunting in Australia.

Constant crashes. Poor app. Keeps crashing, forcing you to start a search from the beginning.

Argh. Argh newest updated has caused all my saves to be cleared....not really impressed by this

No rentals?. It looks like it'd be a good app... But it's a shame there's no listings in Sydney at all. Obviously I'm doing something wrong?

Great. Simple to use with easy links to agents. Great ap!!!

Just what I was looking for. I moving to California from Australia in a few months and this App has been a great help finding places to live.

Trulia. Awesome app for looking at houses for sale in America. Very comprehensive look at the area you are interested in!!!!!!

No good. Rubbish. If you try searching Sydney it gives results only for the USA. How hard is it to return local results?????¿

Spammers. WARNING This app auto subscribed me to 16 email lists that impossible to be unsubscribe from from on an iPhone. Just thought you should be warned.

Awesome for USA. Really useful. With crime stats etc

Nice App. Does everything very well but sometimes freezes without refreshing when scrolling through the map. Minor issue..!

Only USA. Is not applicable for Australia.

Great app! Easy to use. Great for L.A. area seeing as there's no official MLS app for iPhone

So helpful. This app helps me find out exactly when and where I want to move to, it's amazing

Top Shelf. This is the very best of the best Real Estate sites and I particularly like the overlays and the ability to track the pricing. Great work!

Good app !. It really helps you find what you need and provides extra information, such as crime level and how good the schools are. Definitely the app youre looking for

Great!. Really easy

Not helpful!. Not much good unless you live in the US.

Worthless app. Doesn't bring up anything in all of Perth!!

Awesome USA properties!. Super easy to use, and really reliable and quick. Love it!!!

NEEDS TO BE FIXED. The "days on trulia" and "best match" are coming up with the same result of houses and not giving me the newest house that have come up for sale, please fix it !

Tricia. Tried to put in a location, where I have looked before BUT it kept coming back with 'location unknown'. Disappointed.

Annoying. Don't waste your time it dose not work.

Very poor. Very poor app, doesn't bring up listing the website does. So not worth bothering with

Love it. Very smooth and easy to you. So many options to search and completely customisable

Great app!. Trulia is a great app and an American based real estate website so you would have to be pretty stupid if you think this works in Australia considering the website is AMERICAN.

Great for the US!. Provides lots of useful info about the location and prices of similar properties.

Great App!. Love using this app to see properties available internationally (speaking as an Australian).

Best USA Real estate app I’ve seen. Trulia is the best app I’ve seen covering the USA market. It has room for improvement but is far better than others and the USA is such a large market that it can’t be easy to do the job they’re doing. One minute I’m searching Orlando for holiday homes the next minute Hawaii. Good job thanks

Doesn't work. Doesn't work in Australia, please don't put on the global store if it doesn't work. Waste of time.

Mr. Great app

Great app. Well designed easy to keep up with all properties that I'm interested in

GREAT. Get react app, very informative and well designed.

Brilliant App. As an app this is great, I cannot rate how accurate or current the information is but the app is easy to use, and graphically great too. Best real estate app I have seen.

Best real estate app. Fast, intuitive and reliable. Good stuff!

Currency of listings. Very useful however some information is out of date ie listed properties have already been sold.

Useless. In a global world.... A USA only app is a waste of time, money and hard drive space. Junk

Great App. Easy to use. Plenty of features with alerts etc. I would like the ability to mark properties as rejected. So they are greyed out on the map.

Useless. Potentially great but search settings are impossible to set. They keep resetting whenever a filter is changed. Incredibly frustrating.

Best app. Without a doubt one of my favorite apps, whether you are actually looking for a house or dreaming about one you will love this app!

Mr. Total waste of time. Does not show results in area I live in

Great app. Easy to use and comprehensive - but would be nice to have more "share" features - ie to share a listing on Facebook (instead of only email).

Wish I had read all the USA only reviews before downloading. Putting that in the description rather than relying on the reviews to do the job would have helped.

Trulia manipulates clicks. Why does Trulia show incorrect results when click on listings. Does it have anything to do with manipulating and generating higher number of search results

Great for looking at houses!. Great for looking at houses!

Awesome app. Great app. It's really useful with house and neighborhood information. Love it

US only!!!. Not much good for Australians.... Glad I didn't buy it because it's useless to me!!!

Does not work in Canada. A message telling me this before I downloaded the app would be nice

Recherche place au soleil. Très bon outil de recherche pour trouver sa place au soleil 🌞

Only works for USA. Was excited for this app, now disappointed that I cannot see Canadian listings...would change to a 5 star otherwise.

Oops. Got one search in, now it's all black, nothing.can't reset or anything.

Awesome. Love this app

Only in the US. If you are not living in the United States of America then do not bother. It has a really nice user interface besides that. Hope it grows into more countries.

Does this even work in Canada?. Couldn't get it to work in Vancouver, BC or other areas. Other reviewers mentioned it not working in other major cities in Canada.

App changes. Was a good app until the latest update. For some reason they got rid of the satellite view which made it nice to see the direction and layout of the yard. One of the best options now gone.

Great App. Since I came across trulia I found out they have great prices for houses costing much more on other sites, they have beautiful houses and I fell in love with using trulia,I know most certainly that I will buy my future house with trulia by God’s Grace.

Splash then Crash. Won't load past the splash screen. Back to Zillow!

Honestly best app ever. If you are a stats geek who loves to browse millions of neighbourhoods to get a sense of everything it’s the ultimate.

Does not work in Canada. The app description never specified this doesn’t work in Canada. I can’t search for anything in Alberta or other major Canadian cities. Get this garbage off the App Store.

Canadians can’t use. This app can’t be used by people who live in Canada. That makes for a lot of disappointed potential customers, like me.

Not available in Canada. Not worthy of being in the Canadian App Store. Please update or remove.

Perfect. Just perfect

Stupid app 👎🏽. First of all they can’t even register you with just your email they’re so parasite that you must use third party like FB, google or Apple and even that doesn’t work properly. Gonna delete this trash right now!!

Love it. Does what I need. Can't ask for more.😉

Doesnt work for Canada. Im sure its great for the states. ???

Facile à utiliser. Facile à utiliser

Awesome app! Great Content!. See above!

Acres. Needs to have a higher minimum acreage than 10

Glad it was free. Wish it worked in Canada, gave me a local real estate agent to call! I could have done that myself!

App is smooth but lacks one thing. Would be great to search rentals by availability.

Faulty App!. App will not update or work on my iPhone 5. Also, it will not let me delete it. There is no app support to help resolve issues!!!!

I like it. Love the app

Great app. Provides great research info

Great App, Very Helpful.. This is great helpful for people I love this app.

Pets. Please, indicate if condos for sale are pet friendly or not! The info on the 1st picture would suffice!

Not in Canada. If your in Vancouver dont bother it doesn't have any listings here.

Buggy. This is the third version of this app that does not work in Hawaii. Searches work fine in the mainland, but any map searches in Hawaii say "you've reached the outer limits". I'm tired of waiting for Trulia to fix this bug; it looks like a great app, but it's useless in HI.

Better Than I Expected. Iv only had this app for half a day, and I NEVER write a review 3weeks prior to using and experiencing an app. —— Follow me on Instagram @vinnyintegrity —— I like this app because it shows me real estate all over the United States and Canada, business and home. Some other apps that I used only show home listings or properties that are only in a specific city. You can also view the map with all the listings, or an actual list with pictures of the properties and the cost. I really like this app, I’d recommend it (which is also a thing that I don’t do with apps that I download.) Fantastic app, really good.

Good…ish…. Please add keyword search function. Thanks :D

Not one property found anywhere. Nothing found, tried resetting phone/app. Same result. Completely useless and certainly not a download and use tool? I don't need to spend time debugging someone's app with them, just deleted.

Garbage. Nothing for sale over the whole Canada. USELESS

A waste of time. Did not get me a single listing in my selected area in Montreal

Lot of infos. Very helpful

Trulia. Totally functional. Easy to use. A pleasure to navigate listings.

Fun. If anything, it’s fun to dream and see my dream homes.

Nice. Nice

Only available in America?. I live in Canada, if I try to see houses in my area, I will receive a notification saying "No homes available, please adjust your zoom." I am quite annoyed by this fact but I think this would be great, only, if you live(or are planing to live) in America. Everywhere else you cannot use it.

Great app.. Great app but opens email updates in chrome not the app

Good app. Très bien app elle est superbe

Waste of time. Apparently there is no places for sale or rent in the greater Vancouver area... What a joke!

Great. This is a great app.

Update is annoying!. Doesn't let me delete homes from my favourite lists any more so I keep receiving notifications for every single one for everything. It's pretty annoying to have your phone beep all the time for price reductions of $1 or any other activity....

uwu. Amazing app for looking for my dream home uwu

Awesome. Love the update and see new house who comes to the market all the time

Great App!. Best real estate app on the App Store!

Not available in Canada?. No houses in Canada...

SMH. This app is good but I really wish it worked in Canada 😢😪 I'm looking to rent and this would of been the perfect app for a busy person like myself😠

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Frustrating. This app is great but there is NO WAY to clear the Recommended updates in the feed! Out of curiosity I searched for houses in a town that I wasn't considering moving and now, despite many searches since, I cannot remove that town's updates from the feed! I deleted the app, signed out, restarted -- yet this town and the unwanted recommendations still show up almost exclusively. It makes the Feed section of the app useless. Why no control over the recommendations?? All you'd have to do is add a function that allows you to *choose* the recommendations you want. An otherwise great app is ultimately too frustrating to use because one of the most important functions is too irritating, not helpful and a time waster.

Great real estate app. I love that this app provides detailed information about each listing. The info is neatly organized and easy to read. I love that it provides the crime rating for each property. The only things I don't like are 1) the inability to see more than one picture at a time and 2) the home screen. Why are off market properties are shown on the home screen? They're irrelevant. The recommended homes on the home screen are almost always out of my price range. I'm also not interested in articles about celebrity homes.

Best Realty App Out There. This is the best realty app available with the most listings. Listings are very current and contain all the info you need to help with your home buying decision. I bought my home a almost a year ago using this app. It was a hot market and the posting went up on Trulia the same day it hit the MLS. I still check this almost daily to track the housing market around me and watch for properties for friends that are in the market. GREAT APP!!

No Internet Speed Data. I’m sure Trulia is great for purely urban areas where every address has high speed internet available. However, we are in a smaller population area ~150k people and high speed internet is not universally available. Trulia shows me lots of wonderful looking properties that are totally worthless since they have horrible internet. No one wants these properties but there is no way to filter on Internet speed (or even if the basic type of internet available). Trulia would be my go-to tool but I can’t use it now and am stuck with the local realtor site since it at least has some very basic Internet data.

Hmmmmmmmm....... The heart thing for your saved homes you have to push multiple times to get to work (Mobil app) I’ve been looking multiple times a wk and it never seems to tell me before an open house is being held, it’s usually the day or week after the actual open house. The recommended homes section almost never has homes with in or near my price range, $300kish but it always has $450 and up homes in that section. Maybe it’s not their fault, maybe the agents update things slow????over all it’s not my favorite app for real estate

More features than Redfin. I like to use Trulia because it gives you more information about the neighborhood including crime statistics which is the best feature in my opinion. You also can see demographics of single or married people in the neighborhood which is great if you’re single and I would imagine the other way around as well. Overall this app just gives you what the competitors do and add additional features that can really help you narrow down your short list.

Search Management Is Poor. I like the number of listings but I don’t like the search engine. I’ve tried several ways to save a search and can never see them under saved searches. Help instructions are useless! Even though it says I have no searches saved, I get many notifications that match the searches that don’t exist. These “matched” searches only loosely match my criteria which is annoying. I can see recent searches in the search tab but cannot edit or remove them. I just want to search on specific criteria and only see matches to that really match! Then I’d like to be able to edit or delete old searches (like if other real estate apps).

Inaccurate Listing Information. When browsing for a home to buy on Trulia, I have filters set. One of them being, I require a 2+ acre lot as my minimum. And instead they show me a listing with 103 acres! Wow! How is that even possible with that low price tag? I go to look at the listing. says 103 acres in the description, but I’m seeing it’s smack dab in the middle of a city and theirs houses on both sides… hmm? It’s actually only 1.03 acres but they want to lie and say it’s 103 acres. I’m seeing this consistently on listings, it’s not even just one mistake, it’s multiple listings! Trulia needs to do better at reviewing listings before they can be published. I also hate that you can’t view lot lines in the app.

Contingent, pending, contract. The app has a filter so you can see only active listings, but it does not work. We continue to see contingent, pending, and contract properties. If the filters worked the app would be 5 stars. We have to view all the houses in all status categories, and this slows us down and muddles the information. We continue to think there are more houses in our market, but there are not. Please fix this and stop wasting our time! Maybe this is another real estate agent trick!

Very user friendly, but specific complaint. I love this app, I feel like I get a lot more options with home for sale than other apps, however I do which there was a way to filter out 55+ community homes or mobile park homes. My husband and I are a young couple hoping to find a nice, 3 bedroom home to raise a family. It’s really discouraging when I find a beautiful home that meets this requirement and is within my limited budget just to find out we’re not qualified for it because of our young age. Where’s all the affordable housing for young couples wanting to start families?

Wish it had section to type a few notes before sharing via email. This app is the best one. I just wish they had a feature for a few notes about the place when you’re sending it via email. I send a lot of listings to my husband and he always asks about each one but I forget which is which. So we have to click on the link every time for me to remember. It would just save time. Also it would be nice to be able to “X” out a listing I don’t like. But I’m just spoiled. This app works well

Buggy, unreliable. The issues with the app have nothing to do with the data. It is trying to actually get a search to work. With no filters, you constantly get a “well, that’s not right“ error message. What does that mean? Who knows?! No clue why it fails or what to do about it. Other apps work well every time so it’s not my phone or internet connection. This is the only one that regularly breaks. Roughly one in three tries.

Great app, but keep getting notifications after they are turned off. I have used the app for rentals and homes for sale. I love the format and the ease of moving from the map to pictures and to hone descriptions. I also like the various detailed filter options. My only issue is that, even though I am no longer looking for a house rental, I am still getting updates. I turned off all notifications and erased that search. It is slightly annoying to have my alerts filled with homes I do not want to see or need.

Two issues, otherwise pretty good app. Out of curiosity I looked at some homes in an area across the country that I’m not honestly interested in moving to. Now I keep getting recommendations for that area mixed in with my real search for a new home. I wish there was some way to clear my search history. My other issue with the app is that I get alerts and recommendations for homes that seem too good to be true.. sure enough they are for retirement communities and I’m not in that age range. It would be great if there was a way to designate 55+ community listings as such so I could filter those out of my results.

Abysmal “Update”. Trulia used to be my go-to real estate app. Now, with this update, filters don’t work properly (the app really, really wanted me to find a place in San Francisco), the sidebar with the house pictures doesn’t move out of the way when not needed, when I touch on the property on the map, it doesn’t give me the sidebar picture and link unless I really tap on it and then it goes to the listing but that isn’t what I want. I want to be able to take a quick glance at the picture and the location on the map to see if I want to look more. I’m looking forward to when Trulia will fix what it fixed, and frankly didn’t need fixing to begin with, as far as I’m concerned. This was an elegant program ruined unnecessarily.

Deleting this app. Requested info about a property and was immediately (and repeatedly) contacted by Trulia reps regarding my interest. Three different people, with obviously different voices, introduced themselves as “Alex at Trulia” and tried connecting me to an agent. For an industry based so much on trust, why have your reps lie about their names? I have to believe Alex misrepresented my general interest to the agent, who, while friendly, was not familiar with the property yet and who was only interested in any specific questions I had. (I didn’t have any yet, I wanted a run down of the property) The agent was nice and I’d be happy to work with her again. But the Trulia run around wasn’t worth it.

Home Seacher. I love Trulia app because it gives me everything I need to know before I even meet a realtor. I love the fact I can see the Ariel view, I can see different restaurants and shops which always gives me an indication of the house is in a rural or suburb area and this is important when you are relocating as I’m getting ready to do. I also view other apps as well but I always have to come back to Trulia because it’s those most reliable. LOVE IT!

The worst app!. I put my house up for sale and on day one I checked the Truila app and there’s my house except instead of saying it’s on the market for one day it says it’s on the market for 140 days! I tried sending them a message to have it corrected and a week later still have not gotten a response! The days keep accumulating every day! Thanks for posting the incorrect information and making my chances of selling my home worse!

Wonderful!. I absolutely love this app, it gives you everything you need to know about the houses you select, and I have not experienced and lag or complications. The only reason I am giving it a four star review is the fact of knowing that other people have complications and concerns. If you could fix whatever they are having go wrong or complaining about I’m sure would make almost everyone rate it 5 stars. Like I said, the only reason I’m rating it 4 stars is knowing that there is quirks in the app for other people using it, otherwise, its wonderful!

Great use of iPad screen but Search needs improvement. Love the dual map / list view on iPad. Like the additional information on listing neighborhoods but makes the UI incredibly busy which is the norm for real estate apps. Also, setting a maximum price on your searches is defeated by apartments with multiple unit listings: listings will show in your search results even if they are above your maximum price so long as the range falls below your maximum - even if the number of bedrooms for the acceptable price is less than your specified minimum

Review of app. I wish it was more intuitive. I know it is not accurate. I have been to a few houses and the pictures were much less reliable than the appearance when there. Minimally, since pictures are on an angle it is unreal. Measurements like when you provide a ruler is most cases more understandable. The other thing is if I care about specifics like a/c and property tax and sewer I should have that as priority. Calling garage, basement, attic or such as square footage is not right and we have found that in our travels. By the way ceiling dance is not a/c and window a/c is not a/c since it is not permanent. One thing is I am wanting things to be honest and real.

Every option presented takes you further from the map!. What must the designers of this app have been smoking for them to think it a good idea to so completely de-emphasize location? See an interesting spot on the map? Certainly, tapping it will reveal details in the side panel, right? No! You just get a couple more facts about the property in the “bubble” and you have to click again, entirely giving up the context the map provides, to drill-down to a screen devoted to the property before seeing even a single picture. The side panel in the map view will only ever show random houses that are vaguely local to the area you’re looking at, but they will NEVER include a home you’ve tapped on the map. What the... ???

Needs filter updates. Some of the The filters don’t work. For example, when you filter for ‘New Construction’ = OFF, the search still includes new construction homes in the results. Also please add filters for Pool (Private) or Pool (Community), Fireplace, and Only 55+ Community. They have a filter to exclude 55+ Community so they should easily be able to add a filter for Only 55+ Communities. Surprisingly enough, many of these communities are highly sought after and searchers don’t want to have to filter through all the rest if all they want to see are hones in 55+ Communiites.

Nice app… DO NOT MESSAGE THROUGH IT!!!. I had one Keaton about the HOA listed on a property. I sent what I thought was a clear question on what does the HOA cover and started I was not ready at the time to actually purchase. It was to be a few years. I disnt want to waste anyone’s time. I get a text asking if I want a call about the property. I say no. I get another text about my interest in the property. This time I explain that I’m just looking and it going to be a while before I buy and just wanted to know what the HOA fees covered. I THEN get a response back saying they would put me touch with agency. If your looking, the app is GREAT. Images are quick to load. Features are nice. Apparently though the “in between staff” can’t read or don’t care. If you ask a question through the app, apparently you wanting to purchase immediately. That’s why I give it 3 stars. App great, people not.

Time Saver. We were making a move several hours away, so spending endless days looking at houses would not be possible. This app allow us to view homes and narrow down our search so that when we did make the trip, we were able to actually find the perfect home in a day! For a family that has moved as many times as we have, this was a huge time saver!

A little late to the party. Even before COVID, by the time it’s listed here, most properties are either in pending status or sold....so it’s a good place to come to to see what youve missed! Don’t leave your phone number unless you want to be inundated with phone calls and texts from agents for weeks on end. On the plus side, street view accompanies most properties. Mortgage calculation is close to actual as long as figures are correct and floor plans are beginning to accompany some properties. Comparable sold homes as well as price history are also beneficial.

Ms. Emma Gaskin. I love using the app, but what happened to the crime statistics part of the app? I truly enjoyed knowing what neighborhoods were safe and good to know about. Now Trulia show the same thing as the other apps do. I don’t think that a person should be blind-sided by not knowing how safe a neighborhood or how dangerous a neighborhood is. It should be known up front and Trulia used to do that. That was the main reason I downloaded the app! PLEASE PUT THE CRIME STATS BACK UP ON THE APP, PLEASE!!!

Keeps showing nothing. Sorry trulia I tried to contact app support but you didn’t provide a way to do so. This app WAS great but over the passed 6 months I would get notifications from the app but then open it just to find an “oops something went wrong” message. Like it’s not connecting to their servers or something. The notifications keep piling up but I can’t access app content. I have full bars and every other app/game I have works. Just not trulia. Very disappointing

Needs Tweaking. I’m not sure what has happened to this app. It use to be a great app but lately it’s gone downhill. It use to give me a ton of listings, but not all listings that are available. I have to use a few other apps as I house hunt. It would be nice to just use one app like it was a year ago. I like your mortgage estimator, but it the house isn’t listed as it is in the other apps I can’t use it. Please fix this app to how it use to be.

Addicting but annoying. I am often having a problem within the app when I want to view my saved homes and it will only show me up to 30 but not all the homes I have saved. I have been trying to get it to load the other houses for days but I cannot view them and cannot remember how I found them in the first place. I would also like an option for houses we have already seen to not show up when searching. I love it because it is so fun, informational and easy to use.

Great for multiple areas. Helpful filters.. As my first time looking for house (especially in post covid-19 times) the app helped me out a lot. I had trouble looking for a place in the general area, this app all you have to do is type a city and you can scroll on a map to see that city as well as the surrounding areas. The filters are very helpful to fit your living situation. Not to mention I haven’t even made any sort of account or given any personal information.

Works every time. I have lived in Chicago for 2 years, and in 3 different places. I have had multiple apartment search apps and trulia is consistently the best. Most up to date listings, fine detail filtering, they never send me places I cannot live in because I have animals unlike PadMapper which I do not recommend. Trulia has found every home that I have lived in and I will continue to use it for every new apartment I need. They have the most listings by far. They are ahead of the apartment app game.

Could be better if.... This could be a great app but it would be better if we can write or review our experience with the owners and brokers who post ads here. It can protect users from jerks and scam artist doing harm to the users. Just like Uber drivers can get rated on their job so should the landlord/brokers. I would had a great first experience if I didn’t have to deal with lies/ games I dealt with the people I met here. Decent app to look for spots but be wary of the people you interact with.

Don’t use to buy, you’ll be disappointed. In some fast moving markets, Trulia (and Zillow and Redfin) don’t keep up. I don’t know if it’s on purpose or not, but i suspect it is. Trulia is a lead generation source for some realtors. When moving to Los Angeles and Seattle areas, houses often listed as open, actively for sale, or even open houses, were completely wrong. Many houses were sold or rented days previously without any update to Trulia. In addition the app crashes a bunch. You can copy addresses, and when switching from the app to maps to back can cause you to lose the listing you were looking at. The app is great if you want to see what has been available for how much. Not so great if you want to rent or buy quickly.

Great Updates But Doesn’t Work. I haven’t used Trulia in a number of years and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the app. There’s a fresh clean layout and some useful new features, such as detailed crime statistics. Unfortunately, the app isn’t very usable. Some sort of connection issue is preventing data from loading. It’s not my internet connection because I’m able to use other apps as well as the web edition of Trulia with no problem. So, it might be an issue with connecting to a real estate database somewhere or wherever Trulia gets its content. I hope this is fixed soon because it will be a great app when it works.

Trulia’s the Best. Trulia always has loads of properties regardless of where I search. As a single disabled woman living alone, I really value the ability to see a map of crimes in the area and a list of the types of crimes and dates committed. The other vital piece for me is the street view, when available. It helps me see a “before” picture as well as scope out the surrounding neighborhood. It helps me so much more than other apps to evaluate homes in ways that are most important to me.

Very good app. I recommend and will continue to use this great application. The reason I didn’t give more than three stars is that it doesn’t quite address all of my pain points as someone looking to find a property to rent. The first thing I would do is not only group all users into agent, owner, renter, buyer, etc., but go further in defining subgroups and types in an effort to understand these deeper use cases, the pain points and use deep learning if possible to help the user experience and make better recommendations. One example, is that there has been numerous times when I contacted a listing manager only to find out that the property is no longer available, maybe that can be avoided by placing the right communication/validation process with the listing agent to force them to respond to a listing status health check in the app and if they ignore the ping then the listing goes into other states until suspended. Best, System Architect

Need ability to cancel sent request. I want to like this app. Since I spend so much time in the website, I figured it would be easier to have the app. However, since getting it, I’ve accidentally sent so many requests regarding apartments that I’m not even interested. Usually I’m swiping with one hand and the button is too sensitive somehow. Worst is that it doesn’t always record that you’ve send a request and your I end up sending the message more than once to the same people. There needs to either be a way to cancel the sent request or have a confirmation button before it is sent. For now, I think I’m just going to wait until I get in my laptop so I don’t send more accidental requests.

Unable to open listings sent via email. I am unable to open all listings sent through the [City] Market Update emails. As long as I start in the app I have no problem. But my usual starting point is email. Problem is when i click on houses in the emails. A message pops up saying “oops something went wrong”. Not sure how to resolve. I have tried reinstalling the app. Nothing I’ve tried has worked.

😑. I would give a better rating if I would actually get notifications for the ONLY town in my saved search!! I’m trying to keep my kids in the same school but only get alerts for every surrounding town🙄 UPDATE 9/26: I turned the suggested alerts off & no longer getting unwanted listings in towns close-by. UPDATE 9/27: Ok, it’s NOT fixed!! 5:30am and already 3 alerts for unwanted towns. Nobody need’s their time wasted by checking irrelevant listings. For now I’m turning it off😒

KingMaker. Unpopular Opinion but here goes ... This one app is literally one of the BIGGEST reasons i will achieve so much in life. I come from absolutely nothing and i see all these amazing houses all over the nation. Mansions in the hills, top floor apts in downtown Chicago, etc. Ive made a list of “dream homes” i look at it and add to it almost everyday. It gives me a feeling i cant describe. It gives me hope, and fuels my ambition more then anything. Im so thankful for this app. And if your a person who has dreams, outside of the 9-5 system that we have all been breed to follow. I highly recommend it.

Please bring it back!!. I’ve found 2 homes on this app and loved searching with this app the 1st time… but when i decided to move I thought my experience with this app was going to be the same as last time which was amazing!! But when I found out that they got rid of the crime searcher ( it would show you if the house you were looking at was in a unsafe area ) This was so helpful but they got rid of it because….. I really don’t know but please bring it back!!!!!!! it still a great app. But would love to see the crime searcher come back…

Lots to love, but annoying.. I love the app. It’s has a flood zone map built in which is important in my area. It’s also decent at picking out houses I’m interested in now that I’ve used to for a long time and set up several searches. That said, it spams push alerts and badges. Two new houses will go up and I’ll get +7 badges on the icon. The 2 new houses in alerts, the same 2 new houses in my feed, and +3 more who knows where that I can’t find but go away after opening the app. Today I got 6 notifications and there was nothing new in the app that I could find. I think it really just wants you to open the app every day. It’s annoying.

Great app. This app gives me all the info I need to search anywhere in the states for a new home. Their filters work well . The only thing they could improve on is to let you delete an area from your search once you have deleted from your list of places to live. I often run an area for other family members and wish I could get their choices out of my feed . It’s a minor annoyance though and I’ll keep searching Trulia …

Update your information!. When it comes to realtors and homeowners, be sure to update your photos, when it comes to wanting to rent out or sell property. It’s been a few houses that I’ve came across that are still using photos from 5+ years ago and you go to the area, where the house is and the property no longer looks like that, and the rooms look god awful! That’s my only complaint really outside of that just make sure you do that and get back to people on a timely fashion. When they wish to schedule a tour of the apartment and or house.

Could be much better. Need more filters. I don’t want to see homes with HOAs. The pop up frame when scrolling in landscape is awful. You can’t see the whole photo. My app keeps freezing when I scroll for more info. And despite unselecting “new construction” I still get tons of new construction homes. What’s the point of filters if they don’t work. And I wish there were more filters and better options for apartment listings. I have to use a complete different app for that. Does anyone still work at Trulia?! There are complaints that are easy to update within the app but nothing is improving. What a waste, there’s so much potential.

Not a Helpful App for Home Buying. After applying the filters to remove homes that are pending/have an offer, I followed through with an agent to begin visiting house I selected. Unfortunately, almost all had offers pending 12 houses), but Trulia never removed them. Trulia wants you to use the app, they don’t care if the houses are available or not, which is why they don’t filter correctly. Zillow has the same issue, which, surprise surprise is the same company as Trulia. Two pieces of crap merged into one giant piece of crap. This experience brought to you by a company which only wants to hire ivy league and top college talent. Just goes to show you, just because you went to a big school doesn’t mean you know anything.

Great app just a small suggestion. It’s a great app. Small suggestion: 1. Do the same type of toggle as you have it for Restaurants, entertainment, shopping, etc... For the search of for Sale, for Rent and Recently sold. So I can choose if I want to see For Sale and for Rent at the same time or all 3 for Sale, for Rent, and Recently Sold. You may have to play with the Filter Modules and have a combine set of modules you can select or have a default being the For Sale filter module when you pick all 3 or for Rent when you pick Recently Sold and For Rent. 2. Increase the selection option for Recently Sold to 3months, 6months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years. That will help when people are doing tax appeals and to give you a sense of price fluctuations over 2 and 3 years. 3. Include the PIN number (property ID number on the property description and if you can do a link to the assessor office) like Zillow has. My 2 cents.

Better than Zillow, too many alerts. I found this to be easier to navigate than Zillow and has more features such as crime rating (though not sure how accurate). But the thing that really bothers me are the alerts!!! I got 5 alerts for the same property that went off market and 5 for another property that is new on the market. So 10 alerts and they are useless. How do I fix this? I have since turned off all alerts and emails. Turning off alerts didn’t work! Why is this app haunting me? I turned off alerts at the iPhone settings level. If I get one more alert......

Used to be an über helpful resource!. Bummed they removed the crime overlays… I currently live in a neighborhood that is not “white”, but there is almost no crime here! It is getting harder to afford, so I wanted to find another neighborhood like it… I don’t care what color people in a neighborhood are, I just care if they’re decent. It is irrational to get rid of a tool like the crime map… how would anyone correlate crime with a race using that, anyway? You don’t know who lives there, you just know whether or not an area is prone to crime. If I haven’t looked deep enough into Trulia, and it DOES give demographic info like what race lives in an area, maybe THAT is the info to get rid of, because THAT is the info that shouldn’t matter. Crime stats, however, do.
