Great but for one glitch!. I prefer Stitcher to Apple Podcasts for every reason EXCEPT I am unable to actually read the information about episodes without the app glitching and defaulting back to the top of whatever is written. It doesn’t seem to matter which show I’m listening to because it happens for every episode I am trying to read up on. Would LOVE a fix for this issue!

The WORST app on my phone. It used to work fine, but something changed after the latest update(s), and now this app freezes nearly EVERY TIME I use it. Nothing I’ve done has been able to resolve this issue, and it doesn’t resolve itself, so I have to constantly reinstall the app or restart my phone to get it to work again. It’s INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING, and it looks like this is happening with a lot of other users as well. Stitcher Premium just isn’t worth it until they do something to fix this issue. It freezes at least once a day, it’s ridiculous.

Great app. Been using the app for almost a decade. Extremely Easy to use. Very few flaws. (1000% better than the website) Navigation is a bit cumbersome. Wish there were a filter for searching shows. Podcasts that are downloaded is a super simple option and very fast in doing so, (within seconds) but I wish there were more options to organize them ( alphabetical, etc) this includes the show that are followed in your favorite shows list. Not possible to organize, which would be great to be able to do when searching for a specific one on it. Despite my petty complaints I love the Stitcher podcast app. Prefer it over all others. Wish I used it more often. Great variety of shows. You wont regret this purchase. Id give 4 1/2 stars but no option to do so. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars

Truly the Worst. I really can’t stand this app. Playlists have to be built manually episode by episode in one single “Likes” list. It’s truly ridiculous. The “List” option only shows the most recent episode of each podcast and once that episode is played the podcast drops off completely instead of at least bringing up an older unplayed episode. You have to check each podcast feed to be sure you’re not missing any episodes. I’m not sure how anyone would enjoy listening to podcasts this way.

Just stopped working.. I used stitcher for over a year after switching from Apple podcasts. I loved it. One day I opened it,and it immediately closed again. I tried again, same thing. I checked for an update. I restarted my phone. I deleted it and downloaded it again. Nothing helps. I’ve had to switch back to Apple Podcasts, because now, months and months later, it still closes immediately upon opening. The only reason it gets two stars instead of one is due to how much I loved it when I could use it!

Still a bad app. The 5 start reviews must be from people who are new to podcasting. This app is not for power users. I subscribe to a lot of podcasts and this app can't handle it. It hangs for nearly 10 minutes while updating podcarts. There is no load indicator so that you know it's working or not and often it crashes before it's done. The app routinely crashes 3 to 4 times before I can use it. I have complained with every update but the developers only answer positive reviews. I will likely move on to Overcast or Downcast. I've been testing them and they load fast. Plus, dark mode and responsive developers.

Why does this app not have the ability to view listening history. Who in their right mind does not want to keep track of what they are listening to? Every streaming service I have, and other podcast apps… Keeps track of where I’ve left off with a series (tv shows AND podcasts). But unless I stop in the middle of an episode… There is no way for Stitcher to remind me what podcast I just started the day before. For the podcasts that are ongoing and every week is a new episode, I do not remember their names until I’ve really invested time in them; but I don’t get to that point often because I open the app and can’t recall what the app’s name was. It’s just such as obvious Glaring void — like who invents a podcast listening app that doesn’t keep track of what the person is listening to?

It’s okay for all we have. It’s an okay app but the bugs can be annoying sometimes. Bugs I’ve experienced includes: audio stuttering, audio jumping forwards or back, cutting an episode off too early, no audio playing but still shows it’s playing. The most annoying is the audio stuttering because I can’t seem to fix it. Restarting my phone does nothing and restarting the app does nothing.

Glitchy. This app is convenient if you listen to several different podcasts. It is easy to arrange your queue. However, it is very glitchy. It constantly rewinds 15-30 seconds on its own so you are listening to the same thing over. It often cuts off the very end since it rewinds. Occasionally it will skip forward. If these glitches are ever fixed it would be a 5 star app.

So frustrating!. I used to love stitcher, but this app has been having problems all year! I’ve deleted and re-download it more times than I’d like to. Losing all of my download content every time, and trying to remember what was there in order to re-download it again. I refuse to lose all my downloaded Content again! Waiting for you to fix the app in an update so that I won’t have to lose all of my podcasts, again. Please figure out a way to fix this for me and the many many others with this same issue, thanks

Ads. I started getting ads on stitcher premium and they are not sponsored ads from the podcast. They are clearly dynamic ads and they are interfering with the playback of the podcasts. I downloaded different pod catchers to be sure and those the same episodes do not have ads. They interference only occurs when a ad plays at the beginning of the episode; the episode will restart from a middle point and loop without finishing. I’ve reached out to app support within the app and the stitcher website.

Update ruined it. Gaaah, I've been using Stitcher for 10 years, I've always loved how user friendly it is.... but they took away my favorite feature! I listen to podcasts to sleep. I can't sleep without them playing all night long, I know, I'm weird. But that means that I relished to episodes over and over and over. I used to be able to really easily "mark unplayed" by simply tapping down the row of "played" icons. Then I just hit play on the bottom one and boom- hours of uninterrupted sleep. Now I have to click on every episode, open it up, mark it unplayed and to play next. Grrrrrrr.

Overly political. I got sick of having radical left wing podcasts promoted all the time on the front page. I don’t even listen to political podcasts so I’m not sure why it thinks I want to see this stuff all the time. I’m just tired of all the divisive outrage politics being promoted all the time and everywhere. The design is also excruciating if you want to listen to older podcasts from a show. You have to scroll forever in order to get to the last episode you listened to. It just became frustrating.

Love, but what is with this update. Hello, team Stitcher. I have been using your app for years and been very pleased with it. This should be a glowing 5-star review. The UI of other podcast apps are ugly, their controls are often unresponsive, and the apple native podcast is the most disorganized and unintuitive of all. And now that’s what I’m using, because stitcher basically just stopped working. I can play an episode, but not the most recent one, because those don’t refresh. The home screen doesn’t refresh, it gets stuck and the loading icon spins forever unless I change screens. The app is unusable, but I use to love it. Please fix it? I despise the Apple podcasts app. Please help me not use it.

New Clunky interface. First of all, I see that Stitcher seems to have somehow scrubbed their previous terrible ratings, which is extremely bad form! Second, this app used to be so well designed, had intuitive navigation, and really just did everything I could want it to do, and then with one major update became clunky, unintuitive, confusing to navigate, and over all just a pain to interact with. It’s really too bad, and I hope they do some course correcting. I’ll be happy to adjust my rating if they do.

Fails to do literally the one thing I need it to do. The entire reason I purchased a premium subscription was so I could download a stash of podcasts to listen to while I deploy to places without cell service or wifi. Now that Stitcher has released this updated version they’re so proud of, the app needs to check with a server somewhere that I have an active premium subscription before it will play anything I’ve downloaded…meaning that I can’t listen to podcasts while I’m deployed to places without cell service or wifi. This app used to be less than ideal, but still functional. Now it’s completely pointless. What a waste.

Buggy Lately. Been using this app for a few years now and lately it’s been frustrating: -played eps won’t go away (yes I checked settings, etc) -two of the podcasts I follow keep showing me that days ep but then all the other episodes are the same one from one specific day, months. - episodes will not load. Feels like I’ll stare at at a loading screen forever

Switched to Pocket Casts. After Stitcher foisted the worst app redesign on all of their loyal users, I was forced to make a decision: either stick with the new version even though it lacked many of the useful features the old one had, or find a better alternative. Thankfully, I found Pocket Casts, which has been thoughtfully designed to include the features and simplicity that every podcast listener desires and deserves. I still have Stitcher installed on my iPhone, but I use it less and less since there is no benefit to using it instead of Pocket Casts.

So glad I switched!. I actually have my own podcasts but didn’t listen to them much - partially because Apple Podcasts is so hard to use. Switched to Stitcher to listen to The Magnus Archives and I love it! My favorite features are being able to change the playback speed (I listen to audiobooks at 1.5, podcasts seemed so slow) and the fact that it actually plays the next episode automatically instead of the previous episode (there’s a setting to order by oldest in Apple but it’s so hard to find, I keep forgetting where it is). Plus, instead of scrolling through 200+ episodes to find my place I can choose a season from the dropdown! Honestly these are such basic features, this is really doing the bare minimum, so maybe it’s silly to give five stars for it - but Apple Podcasts fails at them so by comparison Stitcher is way ahead.

Unusable. The navigation is clunky. Since the last update it’s better but I don’t find it to be very intuitive. There is just too much going on in the user interface. You can’t download series in bulk. You have to download individual episodes. By biggest complaint is that episodes I have already downloaded will not play unless I’ve connected to wifi. So why bother downloading if that’s the case? When I do connect to wifi the app just says “waiting”. I came to Stitcher in search of an alternative to Apple’s native podcast player which is even worse. But now I have found that I need an alternative to the alternative. I’ve completely moved my listening experience to Overcast, at least until they manage to mess up that user experience too. All I want is, 1 a robust library of podcasts. 2 a simple user interface where I see my shows in the play order I choose. 3 easy to download and play from anywhere. Streaming is fine when wifi is available and or good cell coverage. Keep It Simple Stupid!!!

Stitcher has issues. I switched to Stitcher because Itunes is simply not user friendly and because Overcast (to me the best podcast app) suddenly stopped working. Stitcher is fine- easy enough to use and way better than Itunes. Two negatives- I can't get all the podcasts that either Itunes or Overcast offered ( a minor issue), but the biggest problem by far is how glitchy Stitcher is when playing pods. I NEVER experienced so many skips or repeats (like 10-15 seconds) with the other apps during playback. It happens multiple times in nearly every episode. It's just an annoyance when the episode jumps backwards 15 seconds and then keeps playing, but when it skips forward and you wonder what you missed it can be frustrating. That's my feedback.

Better for me than Apple podcast. I like that I can adjust playback speed in 10% increments. A host of a particular, popular conservative podcast talks way too fast and if I slow it down 20%, he sounds normal to me. I can’t do this with the native Apple player. Apple does have a bigger library, but Stitcher has most of what I have ever searched for, so it’s better app wins for me.

Best Podcast Player Ever. I’ve been using Stitcher since 2008 and have never, nor will ever look back. I love it’s ease of use, the features that it keeps adding and tweaking - 30 sec skip forward and back, playing at 1/2x-4x speed, widgets, etc. I don’t have a lot of loyalties when it comes to apps, but I certainly do with Stitcher. Almost 40,000 hours and counting 😎👍

Podcasts Don’t Stay Sorted; Useless Search Function. Good luck using this if you follow more than five podcasts or so. Every three days the app decides to un-sort all of my podcasts and I spend about 10 minutes manually re-programming them. On top of that, it can be impossible to find a podcast or episode you like, even if you type in the title verbatim—it won’t show up even if the podcast is on the platform. No way to sort search results either. Definitely the least sophisticated, buggiest podcast platform out there—and this is coming from someone who switched from Apple podcasts.

Buggy. Requires kill and restart of the app regularly to fix UI lag. When you use the app, then go away from it and then back to it, it is regularly slow and laggy upon scrolling through favorites or more or less doing anything. Killing the app and restarting it fixes the problem, but it’s annoying. Stitcher didn’t have this problem until a few months ago, but the bug has been around now for a while. I wish they’d fix it. Outside of this annoyance, it’s a great app. I’m using an iPhone XR on the latest version of the OS fwiw.

Why are ads on Premium eps. A couple of weeks ago THREEDOM ep had ads. Stitcher tech solution was for me to delete app, and reinstall, losing all downloads. Now the latest episode of HOW DID THIS GET MADE has an ad right at the top of the show. If I have to uninstall and reinstall every week, losing all my downloads in the process, what’s the point? You need a better solution than telling paying customers “oops.” UPDATE March 16 The new THREEDOM (Murder on the Moon) episode has an ad at the top of the show. Again. I’m a Premium member and THREEDOM is a Premium show with the little badge, but for the third week in a row there’s an ad. Your previous “solutions” have been for me to delete the app and re-download, thus losing all my downloads and just being a general inconvenience. Please engineer a permanent fix.

Stitcher Makes Me a Twitcher. An alluring perk of being a Stitcher Premium subscriber is enjoying a whole raft of shows ad free. Unfortunately, the app is such a shoddy, poorly cared for hellscape of inconvenient (and long neglected) tech quirks, you’ll wonder what pact with Satan your favorite podcast network made in order to deal in its midst. For one, don’t get too excited about listening to your favorite pod’s latest episode the day it’s supposed to come out, because new episodes often won’t update or appear in your feed until a day (or several days) after they’ve been released on all other platforms. Also, take note to recall where you are in an episode should you dare press pause, because once you resume, you’ll find the audio has lurched ahead by a minute or two (pro tip: just tap the back 15 button once or twice to land in the general vicinity of where you were). Two stars — I pay for Premium because the app’s inconveniences aren’t as bad as a ten minute ad break.

Just about the best. I've been with Stitcher for years. Everything you want is right here. It's well organized, intuitive, they have sleep timers, good profiles on the podcasts, and you can find just about anything you want - even if you didn't know it. I say that because I have explored and found some obscure podcasts that were absolutely fascinating! They playlist function works well, adding and deleting is easy, and IF you need to contact Stitcher, they.... Play the drum.... Answer!

Great Shows, Disappointing App. Some truly great podcasts, but a very poor app experience. I have a paid annual premium sub, but can’t log in to app. When I try, I get a “No Internet connection” message even though I absolutely have internet and am using internet with other other apps. I’ve tried updating, reinstalling, closing all other apps, etc., to no avail. I have a paid premium subscription that I can’t use to listen to the EXCELLENT Andy Daly PPP & Bonanas for Bonanza. Disappointed

Also can’t search, so frustrating. I just looked at the app reviews and feel better knowing I am not the only person who cannot search for a title. I was also having an issue where the latest podcasts were not downloading. The only problem is in trying to troubleshoot my issue (refreshed cache), now I cannot access any of the podcasts I used to listen to. I used to love Stitcher but I am now searching for a replacement app, after seeing the search issue seems to be ongoing and unresolved for many folks.

Everything I need. Stitcher has everything I need, and complete control over how and when I get it. I stopped watching TV three years ago, and I don’t regret it for a moment. Life is so much more functional when you have some voices you want to hear accompanying it.

Great Podcast App. Switched over from Apple Podcasts to keep my kids’ shows separate from my own and am I glad I did. The app is easier to navigate, is much more pleasing to the eye (I really notice this whenever I open Apple’s version after using Stitcher), and can be easily customized to meet your needs.

New swipe feature is a huge nuisance!. I’m a big fan of this app and used it much more than my other podcast apps…until this last update. The new “swipe” feature means that, if I just happen to touch the screen in the wrong spot (aka: handle my phone at all while the app is open), it will interrupt my show and swap me over to the next podcast. Why?? Is this helpful to Anyone? This feature has me revisiting my other podcast apps and preferring to use them. Fix this messy feature please!

Good app, but VERY buggy. I love the app, but I have to restart it constantly. Something weird happens with the ads, plus it just randomly jumps back or forward a few seconds sometimes. If I leave it open for a day, it’s basically non-functional, even if I’ve been listening all day. No idea what that’s about. I’ve updated regularly and switched phones and I still have this problem. PS, this might sound weird for podcasts, but some kind of shuffle or random episode option within a podcast would be amazing.

Crazy search engine - seems from the last century…. Much to like about stitcher but their search fir podcasts is absolutely atrocious. Example (and this has been going on for months in various ways): I search for the actual name of a podcast - I also try using quotes - I add in the word podcast - I remove the quotes. There are substantial times that nothing comes up. Then I scroll and scroll down and there it is twenty podcasts down the line - the exact name. The only accurate one but way down the list. I recently searched and could never find the podcast under any name or combination. When I scrolled through my actual personal list of saved podcasts there it was. Shocking search. How can they survive such a basic simple need. Reply to this Stitcher.

Audio skips around every episode!. I've missed who knows how much of my favorite podcasts because this app keeps skipping around while playing. So frustrating! After seeing this app advertised so much, I thought it must have a clear edge over competitors, but I just can't find one. Even the swatch feature to find certain podcasts is difficult to use. If I type in the first and last name of a podcaster or interviewee, the search results being back every single episode with either the first OR last name, so finding the right one becomes a needle in a haystack.

Finally did Apple podcasts. Finally switched to Stitcher from Apple podcasts. I should’ve done this sooner. This app so much cleaner/organized and easier to use. I don’t use cellular data for podcasts and I couldn’t stand how Apple podcasts always insisted on trying to play episodes that were not downloaded to my phone yet. I would always have to manually click on a downloaded episode to play. Stitcher just gets it. It will automatically play the episodes that are downloaded to my phone without getting stuck.

Very good when it works. Yet again, had an issue where the solution is to uninstall/install. That does fix it, but please for the love of everything good, store which episodes I have in queue, so that I don’t have to redo this when the app crashes. And while you’re at it, please show the total length of all episodes in queue. Would be 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 if it were not entirely unsurprising that this happened. Would really like to see more QA before releases, and the above-mentioned storing of queue as a mitigation to the likelihood of crashing. (I had several hours of episodes from different shows in the queue, in anticipation of a long drive.) PS - More broadly, why are the queue and download preferences (automatically download, keep X number of episodes downloaded) not stored in the account so they are not lost? The streaming TV services don’t require setting up all over again for a new screen. Not fun with Stitcher to set these up all over again when you have to uninstall/reinstall. And as long as I’m ranting, why does Stitcher only about 95% accurately track which shows I’ve listened to? (It mostly works, but definitely not completely).

I’m so glad I made the switch. I used apple podcast since 2016, and with the recent iOS update, I just couldn’t take it any more. I switched to stitcher and I’ve had a much better experience so far. On all the reviews that I saw, you guys are working on the search limitations on the app, so I won’t bog y’all down with another comment about it. I would, however, love to see a dark mode feature one day!

Have used 11 yrs, 👍 throughout. I love ❤️ Stitcher. I discovered in 2011, have never once returned to another podcast app. Have repeatedly recommended to friends/family. On occasion bugs and stability issues have arisen, sometimes after iOS updates, but it’s been infrequent and each time they were easily addressed by reinstalling the app or an update was soon released to fix. Customer support (via E-Mail) has always been responsive, helpful. Years ago I suggested ‘Dark Mode’, to conserve battery power and make use of the app more pleasant in dark rooms. Was my only complaint in terms of features. It took several years but they eventually added. 👏👏👏

Glitchy audio. At first I thought I was having some kind of wifi issue because my podcasts kept skipping forward or backwards. Upon watching more closely the audio track is playing fine (not jumping around or pausing), it’s the actual source audio that’s glitched. Many episodes of Reply All and Planet Money are completely messed up in stitcher, and the audio is fine on every other app. Doesn’t really matter how much I like the app otherwise if the podcasts themselves are corrupted.

Search function is awful. I love Stitcher but the search feature is ridiculously literal and worthless. Typical example: I heard of a podcast called “The End of The World” mentioned on another podcast (Stuff You Should Know), so I searched for it. No luck. Found another pod by that name but not the one I was looking for. Googled it instead & discovered the full name is “The End of the World with Josh Clark”. Stitcher did find that. I mean, come on. The lack of whatever technology Stitcher is unwilling to pay for is seriously hurting them.

Feature Request. I’m a fan of Stitcher and greatly enjoy using it over other podcast players, but there’s a big feature missing that I wish was there: filtering downloaded episodes by show group. Even when I click “episodes” with my show groups, it only shows the latest episodes per podcast. What’s the point of show groups then? I would love to see all my downloaded episodes by show group from all time, not just the most recent episode from each show. Right now I really like Stitcher and will keep using it, but there’s nothing stopping me from switching to another podcast app if that feature is available there…

Persistent problems that will seemingly never be addressed. There’s “significant” issues that impact the UX of this app: 1. The audio will routinely just skip back up to several minutes (the audio, not the time marker) so you wind up hearing the same stuff over and over again. Allegedly uninstalling and re-downloading the latest version of the app would fix this, but that absolutely doesn’t work. 2. If you press play on a podcast and then switch to another app before the audio starts it just will not play. Moving back into stitcher results in the podcast beginning as expected.

Love ad-free streaming, wish for private URLs and widget support. I love being able to listen to my favorite shows without ads. The app isn’t bad by any means, but I wish for two features: 1. Private URL support. I already have a preferred podcast app and don’t want to juggle two or move all of my other feeds to Stitcher. I’d like to add the ad-free versions of my shows to my preferred podcast app like Patreon allows me to 2. Support for iOS widgets

Frustrating features. I have been a long time user of Stitcher and it seems the features have degraded over time. The podcasts don’t download while connected to Wi-Fi in the background. Instead you must open the app to force the download. Once podcasts have finished they don’t delete, even with the feature enabled. Switched to Apple Podcast and found it was everything Stitcher used to be

Great service!. I’ve been subscribed to this podcast service for about three years and I can tell you that it’s wonderful I originally joined because I love the podcast How Did This Get Made?, but they have so many other wonderful podcast that are very informative and engaging that are only available on this platform, LeVar Burton reads is one of my favorites the application is very easy to use and the off-line function is great. I’ve been living overseas and I can only use this application with my VPN turned on so the off-line version is really helpful. I recommend this service. The one thing I would say is it is a little pricey but worth it to get all the features in Stitcher premium content

Used to be great. This was my favorite podcast app but it's going backwards. Recent addition of Bluetooth request is too much, no I don't want to give you access to that because you don't need it and you ask me EVERY TIME I START A PODCAST. I'm also missing the ability to sort my latest list that used to be there, now I have to f' with my phone while I'm driving to hear the shows in the order I want. Yes it's a free app and you need to make money but it appears that you're going down the path of profiling your users to sell their data. Time to look for a replacement.

Best podcast app ever. I’ve been using Stitcher for podcasts for as long as I can remember. It was the first app I ever used to listen to podcasts and it’s been great since day one. The interface is easy to use and the content is always good. With everyone else getting into the podcast game Stitcher is still the best .

Delayed and non-existent podcasts. Lately it seems less and less likely that I’ll be able to listen to a familiar podcast on my train ride home. They’re all delayed. I used to be able to listen to All In, and Rachel Maddow, among others, at the end of my day. Now they only show up the next day. Tonight, on a Monday night, there was absolutely nothing new. I dropped my premium membership because of this, and now it’s even worse. What is up with this app?

I tried the free week and it was terrible. I tried the free week of this app. Often it would stop playing for no reason. The main reason I got it was to listen to comedy bang bang, but all the comedy bang bang episodes I wanted to listen to what always unavailable. I complained about this and nothing was ever done. I was also charged more than was advertised. Don’t download this app.

A must have app. Very professional looking app. I like how it suggests other stations u would be interested in and the fact that it's all there for you absolutely free! Doesn't have all previous podcasts tho, but other than that it's got a lot of other great content in terms of variety

Don’t pay for this app. I’ve had this app for a few years and ever since the last big update it’s been borderline unusable. Podcast will jump back 2mins for so without warning in the middle of listening to it, or the app will suddenly quit while I’m listening. The layout isn’t great either - definitely not worth the money

It’s fine, it’s not great. I have stitcher to get access to shows early or without ads, but the app doesn’t match the quality of better podcast apps. It’s improved over time, and it’s fine if you just want to download and listen to an ep. But the way it manages downloads is messy, and it caps your downloads at 10 episodes before it starts to remove them for some inexplicable reason. I used to be able to just use my stitcher login to log into a more fully featured app to download the particular shows I had paid to subscribe to. I miss being able to do this. Note I’m managing multiple podcast apps just to get the shows I want. I guess this is the… future?

Bad. The app has always had issues and poor functionality resulting in a terrible user experience. Still, you do what you have to do when certain content only available for a few. However recently my app seems to have forgotten that I am paying for the so called ‘Premium’ service and will not play any premium content. Trying to access the Help feature results in automated answers that are decidedly unhelpful and why would they help, when they can take your money without any service at all. I can’t even cancel because it won’t recognise that I am Premium to begin with.

Good content, lousy interface. I’ve only just started using Stitcher Premium (thanks to a gift subscription) but have been listening to podcasts since 2005 using a variety of apps. This is the least usable app I’ve tried. It’s almost impossible to play episodes in order when going to an archive (keeps reverting to the latest episode available rather than the oldest unlistened, and when I do navigate to the older episodes and play them I have to manually mark them as played because the app doesn’t recognise that I’ve listened), the menus and buttons are not intuitive (I swear I once found a sleep timer button available on the player screen but now I can only find that function via settings) and just about everything I want to do takes 5 or 6 clicks. I can’t imagine using this as my main podcast listening app.

Used to be good.. Every update brings me closer to deleting this app, an update to make ads play before a podcast, then an update to make the ads play for 5 seconds before you can skip them, now the latest update makes it 10 seconds before you can skip it. Bravo on ruining this app with every update . If I could give no stars , I would, ads have ruined this app, and now the inability to up load new eps has made you obsolete, this is the worst option in podcasting apps. Deleted!

Update full of bugs. Have premium. Cuts short constantly- stops playing randomly - apple podcast app gets new episodes before stitcher premium updates - continuous play doesn’t work 80% of the time. Before the major update late 2020 it was fantastic- have used it for years, disappointed

Hugely underrated. Stitcher’s had its ups and downs, but it’s still the best app for people who subscribe to a LOT of podcasts. A simple UI that doesn’t require you to delete every new episode you don’t want to listen to.

Awesome app whilst on the go. Stitcher is great to catch up with podcasts or news whilst on the go and away from the main source of syncing downloads. It has also been great to explore new content and stumble across mentioned or associated programs that I otherwise would never have heard of.

Will not play nice. The radio/podcast functionality is fine, but this app really doesn't play by the rules. Even if you turn off notifications, it still pops up news alerts. If you make the mistake of tapping on one of these annoying alerts, it will jump to the app and loudly start playing the news story EVEN IF THE PHONE IS SWITCHED TO SILENT! This has been the source of enormous embarrassment to me in two different meetings. I should have deleted the app after the first time, but I did delete it after the second time.

Outstanding App. Stitcher is one of the most outstanding apps if not the best I have ever used. And I don't say that lightly. It allows you to seamlessly thread together podcasts from all over together in a simple easy o use app and the listen offline feature is brilliant for avoiding chewing up your phone data allowance. I love it! :)

Fantastic app & upgrade. Fantastic way to listen to podcasts. Latest upgrade makes it even better to access things & move around on small phone screen. New option to sort Listen Later list is fantastic.

new update lost all my shows. I’ve been a stitcher premium user for several years now, subscription through my apple account. the new update lost all my favourites shows, data for which shows had been played etc, only thing it kept was my downloads. very frustrating, would hold off on updating for a while if your subscription is through apple until they can iron out the bugs

Broken and unintuative. Doesn't do what people want from a podcast app. Useless at finding shows (or episodes), doesn't work properly for downloading or streaming. I used to think the Howl app was bad, but it's amazing compared to this. Completely different interface & usage to any other podcast app, and not in a good way. Always happy to pay the subscription for the quality content, but the app is garbage. Needs to be scrapped and started again from scratch.

My pick of the podcasters. It’s the best for finding new podcasts, and the aesthetics have improved lately. I don’t think that “Settings” is an intuitive place for the Sleep Timer. It would be better placed in a more prominent area. Downloads take a long time.

Needs work. This is great. I've found a lot of new podcasts. BUT it does crash quite a bit. It can be a bit buggy, and stop in the middle of playing. Although I've never had problems loading the podcasts, they're very quick

Deceptive – only wants access to your information. This app is deceptive. It asked for access to your phone and media, and then only afterwards says ask you that you need to log on with your Facebook or create an account. This is not the sign of a trustworthy app. Clearly they are not data mining anyone who even download this app. Recommend avoiding this.

Brilliant application. I use this application and find it more valuable/entertaining and informative than any up on my phone. Thank you to the good people at stitcher. The future looks bright.

Constant issues. Out of all the podcast apps I’ve used Stitcher has most consistently giving me issues. I’ve received frequent app crashes, episode disconnections, and slow load times. All of this on top of a clunky UI that has to be re navigated every time one of these issues occurs, which is typically multiple times in a 1 hour podcast. I used to have worse issues with old episode ads specifically causing crashes every time they played also, but as I broke through the archive it seemed to avoid that issue. If it wasn’t for exclusive content I wouldn’t of downloaded this app in the first place, and because of all these issues I am just disregarding these podcasts completely and hope they move to a functioning app in the future.

New home page is impossible. I’m a premium subscriber and considering cancelling my subscription. What’s the point of following podcasts if there’s no way to see new episodes listed as they are released. The new episode fees rarely updated itself properly but the solution wasn’t to do away with it entirely. Would love to see this addressed but I if not, back to other podcast apps.

Significantly better. Significantly better than the default app for podcasts

New update is woo. New update the timer doesn’t work and have reported several time and no change. I’ve used this app for 11+ years and this may be the end of the line for me.

Awesome app. Brings a whole new dimension to consuming news and info snippets on the go. Customisable and constantly updated so you always get fresh content. High recommended for the attention-challenged info junkie!

Useful... Almost. Had a quick look while discussing with a friend. No doubt the content is vast (although largely US-based), but Stitcher remains a good portal for Podcasts without needing to subscribe via iTunes. The problems are that it's extremely 'heavy' on data ... And also has ads! Remove the ads, it's adding to the amount needed to download just to run the app! Until the ads are gone, fewer stars and participation only when on WiFi.

Finds, updates and plays podcasts perfectly.. Don’t know what the complaints are about. Finds, updates and plays podcasts perfectly for me.

SO easy to use!. I love the latest version of Stitcher for iPhone. So easy to use and makes listening to podcasts a joy.

I use it because I have to. I use stitcher because some of my podcast only use it. Their choice to absolutely flog ads anytime you press pause, that play at a much higher volume and often have “podcasters” literally yelling into the mic, is appalling. If you have to answer calls during your day be prepared for these terrible loud ads every single time you take a call and try to return to your podcast. Their previous ad-placements were fair. Now it’s it’s RIDICULOUS!

Recently played feature. I really like this app. Huge variety of shows. The only thing I would like is for it to have a recently played feature. As sometimes I listen to shows I really like but haven’t favourited which then makes it a bit difficult to find later on. Other than that no issues at all !

Once more your updates stop it from playing!. You get a one as I activated your latest update and again it won’t load. Please fix ASAP and I will give a five star star rating as I get so much enjoyment from the variety on stitcher.

Beautifully Designed. Love it!!! Great for podcasts & radio shows (US). Can't wait to see some International stations on here.

Great for the latest info from around the world. This is a great app. The choice of stations and the ease of use makes it easy to get all the info you need. I would like it if you could bookmark where you had listened up to as you have to start at the front of the podcast if you leave the app and return later on. keep up the great work.

Was okay, but getting worse.. I signed up to Sitcher Premium for the exclusives and archives. I really did use to like the app. But gradually, the shows I listened to left the platform and took their shows and archives with them. There's nothing exclusive I listen to on Stitcher anymore. Then they redeveloped the app. I had a playlist of a ton of specific episodes. The redevelopment scattered every episode and jumbled them up with archives and rendered all the episodes "unplayed" so I couldn't keep track or sort. The new interface is difficult to use and the user is literally prevented from any control over how they group their shows. The shows are just dumped on a screen of tiny similar thumbnails. There is no function to scroll through episodes of all subbed shows - just "Newest" which is the last 5 weeks. The scroll bar for scrubbing through episodes sticks and so you end up swiping the entire screen off. I have to literally hold one part of the screen with one finger and scroll with another. The frustration and aggravation of having to use it now outweighs the lack of ads - and there are still ads in the shows I listen to because my favourite shows are no longer Stitcher exclusives. It's a shame. I 'm happy to pay for something good that works and has exclusive offers, but Stitcher isn't it anymore.

A change ..but not for the better. I loved Stitcher because it was so user friendly .. I could quickly change from one podcast to another or one episode to another whilst at the gym or at traffic lights on long trips . It was a 5/5 podcast platform for me and I recommended it to everyone as the most straight forward / easy to navigate .. particularly for my parents and their friends who are older and new to podcasts . Then overnight everything changed . My first issue is that the podcast tiles are now so small that I can’t even see them without glasses which I don’t usually wear anyway but never at the gym. Everything about the new format is hard to find , confusing and irritating . I don’t WANT to leave but unless it reverts to the clean and clear app it was before the mess it is now I’ll have to find something that is a better fit for me .

Fantastic. Great app, I listen to podcasts at night when I'm too tired to read - no need to have the light on either.

Best radio app. Extremely glad I discovered Stitcher, I have been listening to podcasts with it every day for the last month during my daily commute. Extremely convenient and easy to use, definitely one of my favourite apps.

Stable & useful. A great app that saves you from the hassle of downloading podcasts through iTunes & going through the mildly laborious task of syncing your iPhone regularly. Buffering an episode on wifi is a great way to get around the limits of your download cap. I've been using it for SMODcast podcasts for a year now & there are many other worthwhile things to listen to.

Clunky. I’ve used Stitcher for years but recently it’s gotten more clunky to use, impossible to sort podcasts into the order you want to listen in, no longer works if a VPN is active and the interface is more complex rather than intuitive. I loved and recommended this app for years but am now considering finding a different option.

Will take your money without your consent. I had a free Stitcher subscription months ago. I was charged a subscription renewal fee during the free period. Customer service wouldn’t help. Just joined again about week ago. Charged for a subscription fee today for the renewal date of September 11 which is 3 weeks away. Some of my favourite Podcasts are on Stitcher which is a shame because I’ll no longer be using a service that charges weeks in advance as a money-grab. Very disappointing.

Really good, have found so many podcasts that i would not have.. This is a great app. I have found so many podcasts that i would never have found. They have a feature that suggests other shows you might like based on the ones you do, also based on your interests. News feature is interesting too. I like it.

Don't upgrade!. I upgraded my Stitcher app to the latest version and found that I had lost ALL of my saved podcasts - everything in my podcasts lists and all downloaded episodes. And, Stitcher will no longer allow me to listen to paid podcast subscriptions. They seem to be trying to get people to buy Stitcher Preimum in addition to paying for a show subscription! A horrible app. And, no response from customer support.

Great app. Great, free, very convenient service. I don't often get time to sync new podcasts via iTunes, so Stitcher lets me listen to new episodes when I'm driving, walking etc. The UI and Navigation could be improved, IMHO, but the app is invaluable (and free).

Really poorly designed. It’s just little inconvenient problems but they compile to create a really flawed app. It takes a long time after pressing play for a podcast to start playing, unlike other apps where you can just hit play and lock your phone straight away. It also doesn’t seem to save your preferences regarding the feed, there are many podcasts that I want to listen to from the oldest episode to the newest, but when I close and reopen the app it has reset to the default new to old setting. The UI in general seems to be overly complicated, especially since it’s an app made for one purpose... otherwise I love the playback options so it’s not all bad.

Great App when ur on the go. Works perfectly for me. Not sure what others are complaining about. Best for when you cant sync with iTunes to get it new or live podcasts.

Convoluted UI. Have been using Stitcher for years but I’m now uninstalling it. Tired of the overly complicated app design that splits the same podcasts up into 4-5 different menus. Makes trying to find a podcast very difficult. Downloaded eps also don’t show up in the Favorite tab, eps are listed from old to new every time I open the app, gives error messages when opening offline (manually choosing offline mode is RIDICULOUS), it’s like the devs don’t actually use this app. How hard is it just to start the app with a list of subscribed podcasts?

Disappointing. I feel like this app has so much potential. I love the layout, I like the premium content, things like the colours/buttons/overall aesthetic are really nice BUT all of that means nothing if it keeps crashing. Occasionally a podcast will just stop playing, well more than just occasionally. And the other issue is that when a pause a podcast and the try to press play again, it does this strange thing where it will play for one secondly and then pause itself again. Also, the podcasts take a lot longer to load than when I use the other two apps I have for podcasts. I hope there is an update soon that solves these issues.

Scammers. DO NOT use stitcher! They will rip you off and continue to charge you even after you cancel your subscription. And then to make matters worse, they refuse to answer customer complaints when you try to fix the problem. Disgusted at the lack of service. They are scammers and will keep your credit card details even after you have cancelled your premium subscription. Don’t know why anyone would want to use this app, the podcast selection is not even that good.

Faults. Have been using this app for a while now but recently noticed it starting to fail. Stops playing mid way through an episode when I’m not even using my phone. Doesn’t show up on my phone that I’m using the app so doesn’t work with shortcuts on iPhone. Slow loading time

This thing is awesome!. Ok, yes there are some things missing which you'd hope would be there but over all this is an awesome app, now I don't have to worry about downloading all my podcasts before I head out I can get them any time and anywhere!! And listen news and other shows which I wouldn't normally bother with because to time constraints, and my device has more room because it's not clogged up with audio files! Now if we get video on this thing and the ability to stream to the apple TV then this app just became the best app of all time for audio listeners!

Internet radio to go. Good variety of podcasts. I listen to it everyday. Love the download over wifi only option, saves you heaps on overages or if you are on a plane.

Hard to use. Very hard to get back to your favourites list. Takes you in to screens and screens of playlists you didn’t ask for, and queues up shows you’ve never listened to. Reconsidering using it on iPhone and getting comfortable with the native app. Bad, frustrating design.

Nag Nag. Opens to an irritating XM Radio Nag screen I couldn't get past. Waste of time. Deleted immediatly. No time for this crap!!

One of it's most important functionalities are missing. You guys need to find a way to make the volume higher, even at max volume i can hardly hear anything. Lol I even connected some amplified speakers to it, and it still sounds like whispers.. Other than that, it's a nice idea, so 2 stars till you can fix up the volume problem.

Good not Great. I’m baffled by the OS but the premium options allows me to listen without ads which I appreciate. I hope it improves

Works better, but way too many ads now. I used to continuously have issues with streaming, but these seem to be ironed out with the last update. The ads are now out of control, however. I hear the same ad again and again, before almost every podcast. I might just go back to downloading them through iTunes.

Terrible redesign. You morons deleted all my downloaded episodes and made it so much more tedious to download in bulk. May you live in interesting times.

Good app but can’t review pods. I’d love to be able to give a proper review of the podcasts. The function doesn’t seem to be available on the app, and if it is, it isn’t obvious

Good app but doesn’t have everything. Several times I’ve looked for podcasts that I can find on other podcatchers and they don’t come up, so I can’t use Stitcher for my one-app-fits-all listening. Other than that, this is a great app.

Nice. Perfect for Not having to find a new podcast everytime one ends. If your not going to play vids, don't show them in search and menu, or better yet video support.

Search function broken?. Generally I love this app but lately the search function has been broken. I’m on the latest version and can’t search for anything new at all, so I’m stuck listening only to podcasts I already follow

Great content HORRIBLE app.. This app has the least intuitive GUI i have ever encountered. i’ve been using it for a year and I still am nit 100% sure where to find a list of podcasts I'm subscribed to or that i have downloaded! It’s obnoxious that i feel like i have to relearn how to use the app everytime i open it, and i use it daily! Please fix it!!

No access to old content. As far as I could tell there is no way to play anything other than the most recent episode of a podcast. This may be fine for something like a news program, but many of the podcasts I am interested in are not current affairs shows, so back episodes are still interesting. Also the use of screen real estate for ads was disgusting. Uninstalled as fast as I could.

Fine but search function is terrible. It’s insanely hard to search for shows / episodes. You could enter the exact title and it still wouldn’t show up.

Latest update doesn’t let me open the app. So I can’t even send feedback. I’m not the only one with this problem. The update was supposed to fix this problem, which I didn’t even have until the update itself

Help can’t open the app. I can’t open the damn app

Like It But Not Great With CarPlay. The app itself has a nice interface. Things are laid out well and easy to access. It just doesn’t get along with CarPlay so great. For example, if I click “continue listening” I can’t listen to the most recent podcast, I have to click on one I’ve finished, then once that starts playing I can open/listen to the most recent one. Very weird and annoying.

Needs massive overhaul. This app is astonishingly bad. I will not be renewing my subscription to stitcher premium based solely on the fact I have to use this app to access it. There is a lot wrong, but let’s focus on offline mode. Offline mode is a joke - you have to wait on a splash screen until the startup requests timeout and then get shown an alert view telling you there was an error, and then you finally get to tap on a button that says “use offline mode”. Once you have finally made it in you will see that under your favourite shows it is randomly unable to find the downloaded episodes that you definitely have as you can still see them in the big mixed up list of downloaded content. If you do manage to listen to an episode of a show you will then be forced to delete the download yourself, but only if a new piece of content has started playing. Anyway, it’s horrible. Get overcast.

A must have. A+ app for radio lover. And it's works fine.

It isn’t good at one thing, playing audio. This app is just hopeless. After years it still cannot play back any episode of a podcast without it cutting out every 10 min or so for a second or two. No big deal once or twice, when it happens every time it is infuriating. I would pay extra if how did this get made would just get it’s own app. Only reason to use this app is if you are hDTgM fan. Otherwise avoid like the plague. Also bad UI and Ux. Just over thought on everything and the things I want to use are buried. Just a really poorly made app.

Was Fantastic Now No. The new design and UI are atrocious, used to love it now I hate using it and will move on. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger for a membership.

Great selection of podcasts. I have quite a eclectic selection of interests and I have been able to satisfy my audio appetite on Stitcher.

Awesome!. This app is amazing! Has all my fave CBC shows (except laugh out loud. Why?), as well as tons of others from the U.S. Can't believe it's free. Also, thanks, stitcher for introducing me to smodcast - my new favourite!

Dark mode!. Thank you for giving us dark mode guys ❤️

Great Concept - Doesn't Work. In the first three minutes of installing and runing this app, Stitcher Radio froze up, hung my iPhone and crashed. Oh yeah, and it didn't load up a category I selected, saying something was wrong with my internet connection (my internet conn is fine). Install at your own peril.

News from everywhere. I looooove this app. It's perfect for all you podcast ( or smodcast maybe? ) and radio needs. I spend my work week getting updated on my news, be it usefull or useless. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is cause the search engine doesn't seem to work. You look something up and even if you click on one of the suggestions ( or not ), you don't get your search items. That and the sink between the app and webpage seem not to communicate well. Apart from that though, best app ever. AND IT'S FREE!

App won’t open. App won’t open

Great content, horrible app. This was an easy (only?) way to access podcast episodes older than those available on the Apple podcasts app. While I am happy to pay for that content (which I love), this app is routinely frustrating. It freezes at least once every use, especially when switching from to/from wifi. It doesn’t always remember where in an episode you are, or even what episode you are listening too.

Kneels at the feet. We're not worthy! Ok, maybe not that intense, but as someone who listens to 7+ hours of podcasting a day due to my mindless office monkey work, this app makes getting ALL of my regular casts accessible without having to wait, d/l, and sync each day. AND has shown me at least 20 new ones to check out. A big ole' high five to the gang at Stitchers. And a special high five to the SModcast boys for pointing me in their direction.

Stitcher App. I have 0 complaints it is an excellent app.

Keep knitting. Crashed twice off the bat. Volume is fine dude is on the pipe. Basically a news oriented podcast aggregator/directory/player with a limted selection of categories. Nothing special I can see in this version. Once it works it works.

Frustrating. Podcasts in que won’t often play.

What happened to this app. This app used to be more intuitive, and the search engine easy.... neither is true now... More and more I’ve had to migrate over to the apple product. What happened? How does an app get worse and worse with each upgrade??!

love it. Am an iphone user who recently cancelled Spotify. I absolutely hate the apple podcast app and am so happy this exists. Easy to use, has all the pods i wanna heat plus the option to listen to my favourite podcast ad free??! happy to pay for such a service. keep up the great work, thank you!

Too confusing. Every update actually makes it harder to play episodes of a podcast in order. Last year it was easy to load a favourite podcast and listen to 7 years of it sequentially. Now it forces you to go year by year and if it possible to add episodes into a playlist I’ll never know because following the instructions it gives you doesn’t actually added episodes. I would delete this app but I’m a premium subscriber just to access How Did This Get Made; take a look at the Apple Podcast app and use that as a baseline.

Amazing App!. Love this app, works well in every aspect.

Promising but nowhere near ready. I really want to like this app, but it crashes everytime I use it. Unacceptable. Work out the crashing and it will be worth four stars.

Bug?. The app freezes whenever I select an episode as played. My only option is to force the app to close and reopen every time

Great. Great verities of podcasts and everything

Update glitch. Forced update wiped out all the episodes I had saved as part of research work. Very frustrating. We will see about sticking with the revised app.

Problems with Push. Love the content. Love that I don't have to sync. But push doesn't work. Often doesn't show episodes I haven't listened to as complete, or vice versa. And it doesn't always resume the episode at the right point.

Garbage. Literally crashes when I tap on a show. Piece of trash app and not worth the subscription.

Not for me.. Came to check this app out after hearing so many other podcasters saying ‘find us on stitcher’ though clearly these folk have never used Overcast before! First thing I noticed was that they never cared to consider iPad users in the design. Horrible acres of space wasted and just an overly commercialised feel to it. $50+ a year though for premium, I’m seriously amused, but hey if it’s working and people are paying then marketing is truly king. An avid podcast listener, I love my podcasts and want the app to just be about them which is why I appreciate the Overcast app now more than ever. App privacy too stitcher, I don’t want my searches linked to me, creeps.

Problems. Since the newest update to “fix” car play, my car play is absolutely terrible. Stitcher no longer plays continuously, I have to mark individual podcasts as “mark as played” before the next podcast will play. Very annoying and unwieldy when driving. Previous versions were much better.

What have you done?. This was my most beloved app. Over the years I even subscribed for a year. When I started subscribing it wiped my played tracking and when it finishes subscribing it wiped it too. Then the ui… they changed it and not for the better. I really want to like it, but it’s hard.

Great shows, bad application. The application redesign is unfriendly, weird and difficult to navigate. Also no AppleWatch app… please revamp this .. again.

Ads. Was forced to update to the new version. Endless ads interrupting anything you are listening to, including sleeping noises / songs … Uninstalled right away after years of enjoying this app

What happened?. Used to love stitcher but it's absolutely un-useable now! Constant ads, even when you pause a podcast or switch from Bluetooth to headphones. I'm not going to see the movie lone survivor just to protest those annoying ads. Bye stitcher, back to the vanilla podcast app.

It used to good. I don’t know why but when you redesigned the app it crashes on me all the time. Not only that but I absolutely hate the layout now. It is not user friendly. I don’t know who the jack@ss was that came up with idea but they need to be fired!

Awesome. Best podcast app

One star. The 30 Day free trial is not a free trial. You will be charged for the full year, up front, and their customer support does not answer emails. Deceptive marketing tactic, among a multitude of other issues. STAY AWAY.

Come on Get Happy!. Quite possibly the best podcast group I have stumbled upon in my time on podcasts because they always make me laugh and not forget if I’m having a bad day I can get out of my head and relax.

Much better than the stock Apple app. I’m a new Stitcher user. In the past I have used other third party apps along with the stock Apple offering. So far this app is working great for me. My only recommendation would be to add episode playlist function. Keep up the good work and I look forward to future app updates.

Better but not consistent. Love the shows and the easy of use. It seems to have fixed the issues of losing connection. Still typically has some type of technical problem you periodically deal with

Still the best app for comedy podcasts. It’s still my go to app for my morning commute. They have fixed the frustrating issue with episodes not ordered by date.

Watch out for scummy free trial practices. Decent podcast app but if you try a free trial of the premium service pay close attention to the fine print of which billing cycle you’ll be put on at the end of the trial. The sign up process is misleading and makes it non-obvious that annual pricing is the default. I would have happily subscribed indefinitely if they didn’t resort to this unfortunately common trickery.

Meh. More organized than other apps, but is very slow to load, crashes often, and doesn’t weed out as many ads as you’d think… only reason I keep it around is for the premium stuff I can unfortunately only get here for now…

Mary’s show is a great listen.. Cut the laughing down just enough to allow those just tuning in to catch on, please. Terrific dialogue between knowledgeable well spoken people.

Mostly I love this app!. I’ve been a Stitcher user for years! Overall I love the app! However, recently it has been closing out and stopping my pod and not keeping track of where the episode stopped. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled but it’s still happening. Other than that, I’m pleased with this app!!

Great podcast app. Great app, I like it better than Apple Podcast because I use multiple devices that don’t all have the same Apple ID. CarPlay needs a little help. More times than not, I can’t resume a podcast from CarPlay and have to pick up my phone. If CarPlay was solid, it’d have 5 stars from me!

Come ooonnnnn!!!. This is such a great app and has just about every feature I’ve been looking for… but no dark mode??! Seriously?? It’s 2022… any app that doesn’t offer dark mode is not an app I’m going to use. After switching everything to dark mode a couple of years ago, my eyes just can’t stand to look at a blinding white screen anymore. Hey guys, how about it?

Great but would love a watch app. I’ve been using stitcher premium for a while now and the one thing that’s missing is being able to sync episodes to my Apple Watch. I hope they add this feature in the future!

I regret buying a year of premium. Possibly the worst podcast app that has been released. Instead of ranting I will leave my feedback in a bulleted fashion: - Downloading podcasts is useless as it defaults to using Wi-Fi/data even if it is downloaded. You must activate airplane mode for it to play from the downloaded file. - Refuses to play a podcast until you tell it you don’t want to activate Bluetooth. Asks several times after you refuse. I know when I want to use Bluetooth, stop asking me! - Slow connection and errors when you are on 300mbps Wi-Fi or have full 5G bars. - crashing during podcasts and forgetting progress on podcasts, regularly. - each update progressively makes it a more poor experience, increasing errors, crash rates and features that provide no benefit.

Such a great product and service. Stitcher makes my daily commute so enjoyable. The software itself works perfectly, and the convenience of streaming podcasts beats having to manually prepare playlists ahead of time.

App Great - CarPlay fixed with iOS 15.0.2. I’ve used this app for years, and it’s fantastic. The app stopped functioning in CarPlay after the iOS 15 update, which was unfortunate because it’s where I use it the most. Updating to iOS 15.0.2 fixed the problem.

Newest iOS update made it stop working. I did the most recent iOS update and now Stitcher has stopped working. It tells me that the certificate is invalid and gives me a playback error. Nothing seems to be working to fix it. So I guess I am going back to Apple podcasts since at least that works. Hopefully they will do an update to stitcher and fix this problem.

Hands-down best podcast app. The UI/UX is clean and optimized. You can search for episodes within shows, everything id want to use is at my finger tips and i dont have to dig to get it. Great job!

Glitching/skipping. I’ve used Stitcher for awhile but the last several months it is constantly skipping, glitching, splicing different audio together (I.e. skipping forward, then back). It has been frustrating enough that I’m slowly switching over to Apple podcasts and have stopped my premium subscription. How can one of the most popular podcast apps be unable to manage their audio???

Used to be good. I liked this app for a long time. Then they changed something and the auto-play-next no longer worked. It’s fixed now and much better.

Great platform for podcasts!. Love how easy stitcher makes downloading podcasts and automatically downloads my favorite shows.

Getting worse. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Stitcher 3 times. Please don’t tell me to do it again. It keeps becoming unresponsive when I try to play it in the background and then it crashes. I’m paying for a subscription. This is completely unacceptable. Freaking fix it. I’ve been patient for weeks while your app craps out on me. Next step is a refund. You can’t have paying customers with an app that won’t work

Not working since the update. The app now crashes during its startup. Shutting my phone off and restarting doesn’t help. I hope there’s a fix soon! I don’t want to lose all of my played episodes.!

The slowest app on my phone. This app routinely doesn’t work on my phone which is the newest iPhone. The show’s consistently don’t load. I have been trying to open the Discover page to look up a podcast for 10 minutes and the page can’t load. No other app is having these problems.

I hope a widget is in development soon. I think this is one of the best apps around however I really love convenience of a widget on my home screen. Keep up the good work though!

Latest version broke the app. The latest version broke the app so that it can’t even open. I would delete and reinstall but that deletes all saved podcast data that can’t be found anymore. and at that point why not just switch to a better platform that has other podcasts that stitcher doesn’t?

Update is doing the reverse. This latest update to Stitcher was supposed to fix the problem of the app not opening properly (an issue I thankfully didn’t have). Unfortunately, now that I’ve updated it, Stitcher now will not open. The title page pops up, but then it disappears and doesn’t actually open! Please help! Not sure how a fix broke my app!!

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆. Generally the best features and tools of podcatchers. There’s issues. I know their team works hard. Search function is imprecise. Loading and reloading or refreshing the app can be necessary before playing an episode. The play list function and playback speeds fit information junkies like a glove.

Fixed the scroll!. Thanks for fixing this bug! On a long podcast description, when I scroll down, the scroll is automatically reset back to the top before I can read it all. Love the app

What Happened To Waze???. This used to be my podcasting app of choice until it suddenly stopped being able to connect with Waze after the "revamp" . I'd love to switch back to using it, but Waze connectivity is a must for me. 😕

Used to love. I used to love stitcher but the past number of months, all of my shows include skips, replays (anywhere from 20-90 seconds), and plays the next episode before the current one is finished. I have tested the same shows on other apps and do not experience these problems. I’ll have to switch apps until stitcher resolves this.

Love Stitcher. Love being able to listen to a wide range of topics while walking and various tasks. So many podcasts, so little time.

I love this app. This app is wonderful, I found it a few years ago and I like it better than other apps in the way that it’s organized and set up. It works well for me. Why change?

Skipping???. I want to love this app but WHY are there so many playback issues? It constantly either repeats 30 to 60 seconds or skips ahead a couple minutes completely! (And no you can’t go back and play what you missed- these sections are just completely cut out.)

Worth It. I got this for How Did This Get Made? now I listen to more podcasts on here than I watch streaming shows. This subscription price is fully worth it.

Buggy. I like the interface when it works, but nearly every update is buggier than the last. Right now it won’t even open after the update the other day. Just immediate crash.

Finally, a good podcast app. I rarely if ever write app reviews, but this app is SO much better than any other podcast app that I had to write one. The app is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. Ditch any other podcast app you have and switch to Sticher.

Dark Mode Necessary. Please we need an update to app that will give us the option for Dark Mode. Opening the app at night in bed can be quite painful to the eyes. I love this app.

Stitcher Still Doesn’t Work.. After the last update the app still doesn’t function. I will be removing it as whatever the problem is with not allowing the app to open must be too difficult for you to not get it fixed. When the app worked it was excellent but weeks of it not working has led me away from your app. I listen to Google Podcasts and Podbean.

Yay!. I’m so glad the bug got fixed— I had to use apple podcasts for a little bit and I got so aggravated trying to navigate their app that I gave up! So now I have several episodes to binge, which actually isn’t a bad thing! I love stitcher. So much easier to use!

10+ year Stitcher user — hate the new app. Why? The old app froze up at times, but overall the navigation made sense. The new app is awful for hard-core podcast listeners. The new “feed” is clogged with shows plugging other shows. In one morning I could see 4-5 intros of the same new show, and to get rid of each one I need to tap 3-4 times. What a colossal waste of time. Am near abandoning stitcher, which is a shame. Clearly developers missed some critical UX steps.

I might just stop listening to podcasts. The last two times I’ve updated, the app stops working. The splash screen loads, but then crashes out. The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall, this time losing 16GB of downloads. I’m on the verge of just finding a new interest rather than download them again.

Modification needed. What people do is download and listen to podcasts. Where Stitcher messed up is not making it manually sortable. We all get behind on episodes, and want to listen in order. Let us control what we listen to and the order. Thank icons that are labeled would be nice too

Episode information impossible to scroll. Why is it so difficult to scroll through the episode information and to see more than 2 to 3 lines of it at a time? There’s no way to enlarge or view the information in any kind of a useful way. For episodes that have a lot of notes, this is is major deficit.

Great podcast app. I honestly downloaded this and bought subscription just so i could access older episodes of How Did This Get Made. However, i was pleasantly surprised by what a crisp platform this is. Super fast downloads and good interface.

Fix. My only issue is that regardless of the podcast I’m listening to it will randomly repeat part I’ve already heard and then cut off the end

Downloads don’t play. Loved this app for a long time but now downloaded content doesn’t seem to play without Wi-Fi or data. Not sure why downloading is even an option if it doesn’t truly make content available offline.

working fine until recently. No clue what happened recently, but the app stopped automatically playing next episodes. Seems to stall at the end of the current podcast that was played? Tried to restart the iPhone, no current updates needed. Really a pain as I need to put lots of podcasts to help my brain fall asleep… disappointed.

Glitch with last update. I’m a fan of the app but just did the recent update a few min ago and keep getting kicked out when I try to open it. Tried shutting off my phone to see if that would help but it didn’t. Please fix it. Podcasts are the jy thing that keep me sane while I work. Thank you!

Horrible since the updates. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but it is still glitchy. To the extent I avoid it whenever possible. Bummed as it used to be my favorite podcast app, but just cancelled my premium subscription. Kept hoping they would work it out, but it’s been months. Hopefully they find a way. until then, I’m done.

No Watch Functionality. I would rate 5 stars except that there is no way to control anything other than volume via Apple Watch.

Thank you!. Very minimalist and easy to use. I also like the large buttons while driving. Does it have Apple Carplay support? I switched to Stitcher because the Apple Podcast app wouldn’t sync across my devices! Stitcher does. Also, please come out with an iMac app!
