Useful Bible App. Updated Fall 2017 I do not enjoy this app as much as I used to. The latest version no longer has the ability to be read in landscape mode, the mode I prefer. Also, Olive Tree is constantly trying to sell more books. I'm constantly getting notifications that are really just advertisements. The latest edition even has a cart at top and center. I just want a few versions of the Bible on my phone, not a whole pastor's library. It's still a useful app, just not as good as it was. Original Review: I have no other app to compare it to, but I enjoy this bible app. My favorite feature is the search feature - it's like having a full concordance in my hand. Also, if I highlight a verse in one version, it's highlighted in all - good for favorite verses. Now if I just highlight a few words, they are only highlighted in that version. Also, I can flip from one version to another and stay at that verse. I can also switch to a commentary and see the comments on the passage I am reading and switch to my atlas and be at the part pertaining to the passage. Very helpful. I still have my old fashioned study bible, but I keep this handy for searches and of course it is with me everywhere I go - and I don't need wi-fi, it's all on my iPod touch. And when I upgraded to an iPhone, it was easy to make the transition with regular cloud backups with Olive Tree. Great Bible app.

Good app consistent updates. I have been using this app since it debuted on the iPhone over a decade ago. The bugs in the software that bothered me at first were fixed and the developers are diligent in updating the software as iOS evolves. The reading plans are helpful and the way notes are handled are as good as I’ve seen on any reading app (not as nice as pencil and paper but the search functions are helpful when preparing for a sermon or Bible study).

Love this Bible.. As I’m aging (over 60 now) I thought I was too old to learn an “electronic” Bible but this very quickly became my go-to Bible. It’s easy to move around from book/chapter/verse during study of a subject and it’s comfortable reading for my eyes if I’m reading an entire book of the Bible. It is more mobile and I can access anywhere I go as I almost always have a device with me. So glad I took a chance on this.

I love this app. NKJV has always been my go to for studying the word of God. I read other versions and use others for some study and comparison, I mean who doesn’t like to compare different versions. I love this app for its ease of use, note taking and realistic highlighting. Yes I know there are other “big name” apps that have the word of God in many different versions. But this one is a great electronic version and it doesn’t feel difficult to use. Awesome job on this app God bless y’all!

Best Bible App Ever. love the way you can look up the references without losing your place, see more than one scripture at a time, highlight the whole verse then re-highlight just a portion of that verse for greater emphasis.I️ also love that you can copy from one device and paste to another, or paste in other things as Facebook , and a personal text to someone. I’ve used many bible apps. Olive tree is by far the best.

NKJV BIBLE APP IS AWESOME AND EASY TO USE. I love this app and once you learn how to navigate it....it is very easy to use and the footnotes are spot on and this should not take the place of your Bible but is quicker for clicking to go to other passages than turning pages!! Do not forsake the written Word! The verse of the day is awesome as well and this app keeps up with any highlights that you make and provides many colors to highlight with!!

NKJV Bible works well!. I have numerous bibles and this is the easiest and one of the most accurate bibles. I hope Protestants canonize 7 more books and make a Catholic NKJV Bible. The 7 extra books are accurate, historically and spiritually. Every book needs to be spiritually discerned. This app is my go to for spiritual warfare and learning the Word of God. I love the RSV-CE, but some of the sentences need to be translated better into modern English. The RSV can seem flip flopped in few sentences. I am Catholic so I like the 7 extra books. Historically and prophetically they come into play. Daniel 9:24-27. The wall and the city being rebuilt in troubled times is fulfilled in 1 and 2 Maccabees.

Amazing. Intuitively knows what I’m looking for or asking about. Interactive,prompting me to think about the scriptures, go deeper and then suggest time to step back and meditate on God’s word. It’s support, encouragement, guidance and accountability all in one. Also it allows for creativity when moved, to design images that can be shared in social media platforms, spreading the Good News of Jesus’ love for all who believe, God’ everlasting faithfulness and the ever present advocate, comforter and sometimes voice of conviction; the Holy Spirit. Amen!

I’m so thankful for this app!. Being able to read the Bible digitally any time of day at any place without Wi-Fi is a great blessing. The look up and highlight features have helped remind me of God’s right when I need it. I look forward to using notes in the future. Total control. Other on line Bibles give the capability to highlight with four different colors. This app is so much more. Not only can you highlight you can also underline. That is just scratching the surface of the capabilities you are provided. You can select font size & style. Select colors for certain things you want to see & etc. This is what I have been looking for in a Bible app. Thank you so much for the added effort in making this a superb app.

A Delight. I have been utilizing Olive Tree since it’s inception many years ago it seems now. Olive Tree never lost my identity or data as it progressed to newer platforms. They have remained diligent in maintaining continuity and free access to the various supportive tools connected to the Scriptures. The Oliver Tree app is one of my top 5 apps on my devices. I’ve trusted OTree with 100s of my commentations and devotional that continues to allow me to encourage others in Word ministry. Thank you, Steve Corsello

Mostly good. I really enjoy the look and feel of this app. It’s too bad that daily reading program buttons that are supposed to take you to the next reading sometimes don’t. Support doesn’t seem to be inclined to address the problem. All in all, it’s a good Bible app. UPDATE it appears they have squashed the bug in one update the latest update. Bravo!

Still The Best Bible app I’ve Found.. I have had a lot of the Bible apps, Touch Bible, BLB, BIBLE, The Study Bible, Dwell audio Bible , eSword, etc, etc, etc. Some of those apps are nice, I’m not knocking them. This app is superior. I can highlight what I want, one word or a whole paragraph. I can put a note at each word. Couldn’t do that with other apps. Olive tree has countless study material and unlimited library, and they are always adding new stuff. I can build an extensive library on my iPhone or iPad. There is one problem that needs attention, that is Sync. At times it doesn’t work, other times it does. I think a little adjustment to the Sync problem could yield a 5 star app.

Wonderful to use. This is the best Bible app ever. It is so easy to navigate and there is great flow from the notes back to the scriptures, and the grid for the books of the Bible are great. I can move through the pages and do things in this app that just are not available in the other apps. You have made everything so easy:highlighting, synching, multiple Bible versions,notes, commentaries, maps etc. Thank you!

My Go-To Bible Study App. I have been a faithful Olive Tree user since the old Palm Pilot days! As a pastor and Sunday school teacher, this is the "mandatory" app I open to prepare a message or lesson. In fact, the vast majority of my "preachers library" is contained within Olive Tree. Every update including the most recent one always provides positive improvements ! The folks at Olive Tree really know how to take care of their product as well as their customers! I use the app across all of my electronic devices, and it is handy that they all stay in sync. And the greatest part of the system is that many of the "study helps" and Bible resources (commentaries, dictionaries, etc. ) track right along with the Bible you may be reading! You will thoroughly enjoy studying with this product.

FCI missions. This a gift from God. I'm a missionary evangelist and travel often. I use this app on my I phone and I pad to write and edit messages, it is so easy now, and my notes are always there where and when I need them The word of God is life, no matter how you get it , it could be paper and ink, electronics, or a persons memory. Olive Tree is a powerful tool in the hands of believers. When there seams to be no way God makes the way. In nations where Gods Word is illegal the word of God is being used thru electronics. Thank God.

Better and better. This app is so helpful for ongoing Bible study; love the notes ability/review section so that I can be reminded of things I have been studying over time, grouping sections by the color of highlight. The only thing I don't prefer is the notifications for buying study guides. Not even that the guides are there—the little red notice sometimes gets on my nerves but that's a small thing.

A blessed gift. Thank you!. This application has blessed my life in so many ways. It is a fundamental part of my daily Bible study. I turn to it when searching for a text, a word, a phrase. The interface is intuitive and natural. When I need further understanding of a passage (as often happens since I am currently reading through The Word in Wycliffe’s version and the Reina Valera, as I am learning Spanish) I can double-tap to bring up other versions or commentary (and I set that shortcut up myself). I find joy in being able to highlight and underline in many colors, including some of my own design, and the highlights themselves are attractive, not just a colored background to the letters but with a variation in brightness within them that makes the scripture glow. The Bible reading plans are multitude and varied from short, focused ones through years-long, through-the-Word ones. I currently have four going, each with its own particular translation of the Scriptures, each with its own focus. Two are set to have scheduled reading; two are unscheduled, waiting for when I want something special. This application has blessed my life in many, many ways and I treasure it. Thank you so much!

Love it. I can’t say enough good things about this app from the ability to scroll through the word or turn a page to read through the Word…this app has books within the app (as added) for further research as well as defining words and the ability to jump from verses to verses and go back to where you left off last read. This app also allows me to view versions for cross referencing interpretation … I’m sure there’s more to it but this really is a very good tool to keep you grounded in Gods Word. Some people are old school and want a paper Bible and I have these too but this app is really nice especially when traveling and space is limited. Shalom.

Opinion. Still Donna t like this as well as my Glo bible as I has sooo many verses highlighted and have lost it! I'm sure it will,be fine when I learn how to do everything, I'm 75 and have some memory problems ,so it takes a little longer!! I read through the Bible every year and each year different verses pop out to me and it's really helped !!!ttin This is Gail Craig, I love this bible and it is very handy to have it on my phone as I have it with me wherever I am, especially in church!!! I highlight a lot and it makes the verses easy , to find!! I wonder if the opinion above is mine!! I call “MASTERS LINE “ to get a nice calendar that tells me what to read every day!! A lot easier as I am 80!!!

Lots of issues. I used to love this app. I bought the Strong’s version with built in concordance about 3 years ago. It worked great but about a year ago it started having problems and they are getting worse. I love using the book ribbons to keep my place but it likes to have links that no longer work but are still in queue. Now the concordance is having issues and no longer works properly. It will only show me a few verses and when you hit “more” nothing happens. I have deleted the app and reloaded it, but nothing helps. If you don’t own it, don’t waste your money.

NKJV available with this app. I had been looking for an app that had the ability to read the NKJV with no dramatization or music on the background and also had through the Bible reading plans. This app has these capabilities and much more. You do have to purchase the NKJV audio book but it's well worth it to me. Bonus, yo can purchase and use Kincaid read by Bob Souer (my favorite).

Best Bible App I’ve Ever Used!!!. The font format of this Bible app is SUPER easy on the eyes, making the scriptures easy to read. I also love the “night mode” that makes the background charcoal instead of bright white when it’s dark/er out. Finally, I love how the user can switch between so many different translations of scripture in this one app! Personally, I’m a NKJV reader, which translation often isn’t available in some Bible apps. Read on, friends!!!

Great flexibility!. I have to move from device to device to device at times and it is extremely helpful to have all my notes and highlights synchronized across all three devices! Regardless the device I am using while reading or studying my Bible, I can have confidence that the note I make on one device will be there on the others when I am studying from them. The Sync feature makes this possible!

Awesome Bible App!. I absolutely love this app. I’ve tried many other before landing on Olive Tree and I’ve tried others since. None can come close to meeting my needs for note taking, highlighting, references, access to multiple translations, etc. If I had my wish, and I realize that this would be extremely and likely not even wanted by anyone else, but I would love to be able to also use my Apple Pen on my iPad to write notes or circle key words. But that’s just me.

Cutomizable. I can not express how much I truly appreciate having The Bible so accessible! I love being able to switch so effortlessly in the different translations to dig deeper as well as change the font, size of font, & background dark for relief on my eyes. Being able to track my progress and multiple studies is amazing definitely helps keep me going!

Whada’bout the rest?. This is, in this reviewer’s opinion, the most well thought-out mobile Bible app—especially for tablets, but still very usable on a smartphone. The ‘Resource Guide’ that ‘automagically’ collects all of the pertinent information in a user’s resources/library for a particular passage is what really distinguishes it from other Bible apps when combined with a number of scholarly and semi-scholarly resources as part of a user’s library of resources. Some very good scholarly original language resources are available to go with a variety of ‘tagged’ original language texts. The latest version7 revision has some GUI improvements to the ‘look-and-feel’ of the UI. The main question that i have relative to this last comment is, as this review title states, “Whada’bout the rest?”, meaning, version 7 of the Olive Tree Bible Reader is *not* yet available for some of the particular versions of Olive Tree Bible Reader (e.g., NASB Bible+ and the Greek-Hebrew Original Language apps—to name just two). The best that this reviewer can determine is that it seems that only 3 of the 8 or so versions of this app are available in version 7. My other installations of other versions of the app are stuck in the past (last maintenance/feature release of version 6). When does Olive Tree expect to release version 7 of their other ‘flavors’ of this app?

Best Bible App. I love this app! This has been the best app i have ever used and has become my only consistently used bible and study tool. You can highlight, take notes, add more resources such as commentaries, maps, other translations and you can follow along with any listening app that you choose to buy. Also you can add other study bibles and this has great reference tabs!! This app also will sync and keep all your plans and notes on every device you use. Best App Available. Love this app and it’s capabilities are second to none!!! **Update** I experienced an elusive technical issue and Olive Tree support responded in less than 24 hrs and worked with me until the issue was resolved!! Absolutely top shelf support coupled with a superior product means I don’t need to look any further because I’ve found the best!!

Great Bible. Love how quickly you can get to chapter and verse quickly, table of contents is awesome. Great personalization on colors, really makes it unique; And fast. Pastor calls out the text he will be using for his sermon and I am on it super easy and fast. Bookmarks and highlighting, ribbons and even a reading plan. This my favorite bible if all time. Can also purchase other Christian commentaries and works and read them on the IPad in same app.

Olive Tree NKJV Bible. You will find Olive Tree Bible(s) to be fantastic resources. I’ve used the iOS version for years and occasionally the Windows version. The ease of downloading and using multiple translations is just one the amazing features. Just about any bible version is available as well as many commentaries. Being able to have the Bible at hand in waiting rooms to see your doctor, and many other ‘wait times’ is great. You are able to setup a sync between devices. I use the Olive Tree NKJV daily for my quiet time reading/study each day, and would be lost without it.

Digital Bible Blessings. Often my pastor will take off on a “sprint” through multiple books, verses in both the Old and the New Testaments. Flipping through the thin pages of my bible isn’t getting easier with age. I can easily keep up and highlight key verses that I can recall later. I also get a kick out of younger members awe of the old guy utilizing new technology as fast as they can. It is a blessing to “pull out” my bible on my phone durning the day if I need some inspiration. I can also use multiple translations at the same time. It is a great bible tool helping me to keep up and study more

Frustrating update. I have been using this app for about 4t years. It has been useful in keeping notes and grouping related passages together with the feature called tags Unfortunately after this last update when I open tags and go to a saved topic that I have spent many hours saving ... it opens fine but when I close the verse instead of being able to see the next tag it goes to the last open screen and not the next tag . I then have to start over and open several windows to get to the next tag .... very frustrating. It’s like having notes saved in your bible for years and then you get up one morning and someone has move them to a different page ... this happened a couple years ago to .... This was especially frustrating as my wife was sick and passing and I wanted to share some verses with her but had a lot of trouble looking them up.

Frustrated. Downloaded OliveTree on my PC in December. I have the windows version. Currently using it in my year-long reading plan. I enjoy it’s many features, but I have been experiencing numerous glitches: folders emptying one day, then contents returning the next day, not being able to write a Note after double clicking on a word/scripture because the ‘Note’ window doesn’t pop up, reading plan not updating properly… I have reached out through their help center and have not heard back. I’ve used another app for many years, but they don’t offer the New King James Version. Not sure if the frustration with this app is worth it. Hoping for an answer...

Some glitches. Hello my name is Fran I’ve been using this app faithfully since 2014- present day. For starters : I Found that while in in note pad. To mention: This wasn’t present in earlier app. The Process. Is While I’m trying to copy and paste New ideas and writing within the note. Which I love. What happens is The note shifts entirely Down after I want to go back to where I was starting my thought, and adding new material in that part. What makes it different and frustrating is it jumps back to the bottom of my note, “when I leave to anywhere in the Bible. “ Then return to note. It forces one to sift all the way back. From To the last note on the note made bottom of page. So you have to go back every time in the place you pasted a portion either. Where as before you could paste a Bible purple highlight scripture and it would return right back to the exact location. Could this mean I have to many notes in my Bible app? Also the app doesn’t always allow highlighting and copying from top to bottom. “Only from bottom to top.” Hope this makes sense Otherwise I thoroughly enjoy this app. Maybe I’m due to a updated app in the olive tree series?

Definitely a 5-star Bible app. I’ve been using this for several years now and still think it’s the best Bible app available. Some of the features I appreciate are how it syncs across multiple devices, the ability to write notes, underline and highlight words, their advertisements for additional books are relevant and never distracting while reading scriptures. You actually have to go searching for them. Also appreciate how you can compare two versions of the Bible. For instance the NKJV and NIV in split screen. As far as I am concerned this is the one to use. I tried several before settling on this one. I am a 100% satisfied customer.

Love listening to God’s Word. I have used this app mostly for the audio Bible for many years now. It really helps me get my day started right spending time with the Lord. Thank you. I have not been able to find a way to communicate with anyone on problems I am experiencing now since the latest update. Before, my place was kept and it started where I left off with the reader selections and Book and chapter where I left off. Now I have to reset it to my settings each time I open it because it defaults back to Genesis 1:1 and dramatized reading every time. Hopefully you are already addressing these issues. I’m looking forward to using it with ease again.

Great app. This is a wonderful app that like any library grows as you grow and matures as your studies deepens. There are times when I will have my computer open to two references, the iPad to two others and my phone to another. I wished at times I could print some passages for reference as I study but this app does not have that availability or I have not learned how to do so if it does. Also, I hope there to be more audio books added to Olive Tree store, that are reference books not just the Bible. But that depends on publishers of the reference books I am sure. Good format. I like the way this app is put together with the ease of using it. Everything is right there where other apps you have to go into different options on the menus bar to get to the books and highlights & other stuff. As soon as you open this app the books are there at the top to choose from and you just click on a sentence and highlight it all at the same time. Very convenient! I like it!

Great Bible App. I really enjoy this app as I’m able to save scriptures and take notes. When you reference a scripture in the notes, it automatically highlights it and you can tap the link and the scripture pops up so there is no need to type out the entire verse! It’s easy to use. I also subscribed to the references and absolutely love having those when reading and studying!

The Best Bible App I’ve Found. Olive Tree has many translations of the Bible at no cost. They have many other Bibles, study Guides, dictionaries, commentaries, devotions, and books for sale. They have regular discount sales as well as occasional giveaways of books that are generally for sale. There is also a built in function for comparing translations. I could go on and on. They have much to off someone seeking to learn more about scripture and grow in their spiritual life.

Thank God for this app. This Bible app has many features that I was looking for(bible studying tools, parallel reading, etc), and I like the interface/ overall look of this app. Also, allowing people to buy the actual books were good too. Only thing is that I found software bug with parallel reading, sometimes the Bible on bottom screen is not synced with the top one.

Great app. This app is really great for keeping a hip pocket Bible handy. I struggle to read the word every day but with this it has made it easier. So many functions and the availability of reading plans is great! I have started the 9 month Bible Challenge. The ability to highlight is great and is made even better by the Note function. It’s like a journaling Bible as well! Highly recommend this app to anyone looking for accessibility to the word.

Back to normal. 😃👍🏻. All is well, app works fine now. Thank you for fixing the issues. This was my go to app, but since last update it’s been a (unfortunately) useless app. I also paid for a few Bible versions. Now all I see are distracting ads in the top of the drop down menu. I commit open the app, it crashes, slow load times. Not good. When corrected then I’ll be coming back to this app. Till then I cannot recommend the it. Please do the right thing, people have spent money. Thank you.

Very Helpful. I've been using this Bible app for several years now. Let me first tell you I'm visually impaired. After searching and buying several other Bible apps I found this one to be the most helpful for my situation. It is easy to navigate and you can enlarge the font easily. The ability to change the background colors made it so much easier on my eyes. The studying of God's word has been helped by this app but you don't have to be visually impaired to appreciate it.

Lack Of Christianity?. First, there may possibly be a few scriptural errors that I have come upon. I can’t prove it, but some things seem off. Also—-and I’ve mentioned this before but—-I figured I should mention it again. It bothers me that on Easter Sunday, of this year (2020), the “Verse Of The Day” was not specifically about the resurrection of Jesus Christ and it should have been. I sent my concern in, but the response that I received was mediocre, at best. Lastly, the overall app gives me a vibe that it wasn’t created nor is it maintained by true, born-again Christians. By this, I mean people who truly know and love Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I hope I’m wrong, but one can’t be too sure in this day and age. I really love the fact that I can read and study the Bible from my phone, but that’s really all that I like about your Bible app.

My Favorite Bible Resource. The convenience of this app and the ability to create notes and read the same notes on multiple platforms of this same app makes this such a wonderful resource. Probably the best on the planet. Also the trustworthiness of the Company is a necessary value. I have been using this resource since my palm pilot days to give you an example. I have purchased and continue to purchase many volumes of Biblical resources as I grow in studying the scriptures. If the developers did not continue to work on this platform all that would be lost and wasted if the app did not support the latest iOS versions as you upgrade your device to the latest and greatest. There would be no confidence in buying these electronic volumes as opposed to the physical paper bound resources. While nothing can match the durability of a paper bound volume nothing can match the speed of research on an electronic resource as found on Olive Tree.

Awesome, Awesome,Awesome. This is what Every believer needs...I have used Olive Tree from the first time I got an Ipad 11 years ago. Every Youth in my Wednesday night class used the Olive Tree app on their device. The youth would forget their Bibles or not bring them so I asked every Youth to bring their device (Ipad, Kindle, Samsung Tablet, phone etc etc) where we downloaded the Olive Tree app. Not only do we used them on Wednesdays, but I taught them how to highlight certain passages and to take notes... Best App for an active Youth Group. The group consist of 22 kids. Update: In our Adult Sunday School class we have more adults using their tablets with Olive tree. I am soon going to teach a class on using the Olive tree app at another Church. All I can say is this Olive tree app and library certainly help in sharing the Good News about Jesus.

Fantastic, Easy to Use!. Used daily, and have never had an issue navigating. It is really easy to use! My most used feature is the verse of the day, which is sent to me each morning!

Amazing!. As a Christian this app is such a great tool whenever I am away without my bible, it's even a fantastic study tool to use with my bible because it can help in finding particular verses or words I can't find. All the features are well thought out and easy to use! Love it!!

Very handy and helpful. Few texts are missing though especially the top portions. They were cut off. Not enough margins. Otherwise, very handy and helpful.

Easy to read compared to KJV. I did not like reading the old King James Version. The language was not familiar and some words not understood. This version is easy to read. I like using the definition and reference features .This is my favourite translation. Thanks.

Don't want any other Bible apps. Olive tree make the best Bible apps I've ever used. I have many versions and could highly recommend them! Don't forget your paper Bible tho! : ) no other book is worth your time, attention, devotion and application. God is always there for you, and always there in His Word. God loves you. NKJV bible. Love it. Easy to navigate to a passage and if you know what it says but not where it is in the bible you can usually get to it quickly. Would like to be able to choose between finding a phrase and finding the individual words in the search facility.

Nkjv olive tree Bible. I like it except that I prefer to scroll down instead of read the pages to the right. Also, sometimes when other things appear at the bottom, I can't get rid of them by pushing them down.

Cross reference Joy. I love that you can click and read the cross reference will staying on the same page, you can even look at word definitions. Amazing, love this app.

Love this app, use it every day. This app is great. I have multiple translations of the Bible stored, so that if the preacher is using a specific version, I can refer to that particular one. In my notes, it hyperlinks automatically to any scripture reference I record. I can categorise my notes into Bible School, Sunday Notes etc, so I can easily refer to them. I take my notes on my phone, but because I have registered an account, it then syncs them across any device on which I have the app. This means I always have all of my notes, and my Bible with me everywhere I go. It is so helpful in my daily devotions to be able to refer to the scriptures shared from Sunday and to the message that was preached. Really do love this app.

NKJV. I read this Bible because it is the one that has not left out as much as other translation from the original text. It is mostly ease to understand too.

Simply the best. I never thought that after 40 years of studying the Bible I would be reading it on a phone and iPad exclusively but Olive tree makes this not only possible but an absolute delight. I’ve been using olive tree for a few years now and love it.

God’s Word in my life. I use this NKJV bible most days because: 1. I love reading the good news of Jesus my Lord. 2. The App is so convenient; I use it while walking, sitting in the park, when I wake up etc. 3. When I am listening to a message on another device I use the app on my phone as quick scripture reference.

Jeanette. This is excellent. Very easy to adapt font size, style and colour to your liking. Is quick to find the book, chapter and verse you're looking for and has many other features. Is by far the best $5.99 I have ever spent, so I highly recommend purchasing this version.

This is my go to Bible app at the moment. I find this Bible app to be the most useful for my personal reading. I have tried others, but I particularly like the fact that you can read this one offline and it doesn't have marketing notifications that pop up in front of the text while reading! Also I like the ability to highlight and take notes. The online account is useful too. The app got really sluggish at one point and I had to reinstall. Having the online account meant all my notes and highlights were restored. One feature that would be helpful moving forward would be the ability to either change the colour or position of the reading plans tab so it is easier to go straight to it.

A first rate learning tool. An excellent research, learning and study aid. The search tools are excellent, the ability to hi-lite, place bookmarks just make it better. The ability to search in multiple translations is a real gem and the support services are excellent. Thank you for a fine product. ....and three years later it has matured & continues to improve. I still find that the offered features are wonderful. I like physical books - but this can go almost anywhere in a small device and makes handling multiple translations a breeze!

I have 3 different bible versions downloaded so that I can refer to them also. Very informative all round. Very pleased with it.

A review.. It's difficult to look up index to begin from. Grey font not easy to read from iPad or phone in church. Contrast it please. Would enjoy to pick it up more often but someone out there is restricting. Why ? People, make it good the first time. I like it and would like to read it more often.

Excellent but still bugs. Been using this extensively for 22 months. Excellent but still annoying bugs. Application freezes and shuts down for no apparent reason. Would like to see an icon/pin that would freeze the notes pane from annoyingly bringing up other things accidentally while teaching or preaching when using the notes alongside. When background is black the verses heading can not be changed in size or from gold colour which makes it hard to read. Otherwise great product.

Awesome library. I was told to read to not just 1 translation of the Bible to get a better context of God’s WORD. This is what lead me to the Olive Tree Bible App. Aside from the many versions they also have. rich resources of study Bible, they even gave us one awesome Study Bible for free (ESVGSB). My exhortation to those who feel guilty of using a Bible app instead of a hard copy Bible, don’t feel guilty, whether you’re studying using an app or hard copy GOD is able to dispense His Grace, His Love and His word in whatever format you use. Incredible App. An amazing app that is easy to use very functional, has a very good search engine - you can search a word of interest and it will quickly give you results of where that word is in the whole bible. Very fast. You can download tones of free books as well as buy them and they have a very nice layout. The BEST note taking and highlighting bible app out there where you can do multiple underlines and highlights in heaps of colours, both for whole verses, sections or separate words! You can easily switch bible versions. You can then make notes and tag the notes to put them in tagged subjects. It would be great if there was a feature to have two different bible versions side by side when reading, to compare. Otherwise a top bible app and one of my favourites.

My Library Bug. There is a bug where i have to close the app unless when i click My library nothing happens. If i go straight into My library when i open the app its fine. If i go elsewhere, then My library wont open.

Not on how many friends are reading your latest flashy reading plan. It’s not cluttered like Bible, or Bible gateway. It’s clean and elegant.

Great app with some annoying bugs. The app has great study features with the duel screen and wide selection of translations but sometimes freezes up my phone or looses my place or looses my notes which is annoying.

A Bible app the way it should be!. I personally like this app as it allows to study the Word of God, take clear and extensive notes, and access various versions and much more in a single app. The hard work of the developers is simply evident throughout. Quality app, period!

Outstanding study tool. Olive Tree Bible+ is extremely helpful & useful! The fact that I have access to multiple bible versions, ability to enter notes, helpful commentaries, maps, & your Resource guide is fantastic! Olive Tree Bible+ is far and away the best Bible app! I use so many different tools in it working on bible studies.

Review of Chronological Bible. I just procured the Bible but it is not what I expected. It changed my Bible to the NLT, though I still prefer the NKJV. Also, the highlights in the verses and sections I had highlighted disappeared, and that’s from Genesis 1 to Psalm 107. I wish I can have them back. All the same, I pray that the Lord will help me to enjoy it. That’s important to me so that I can continue to use this Bible.

Good App. So far I haven’t had any issues with this app. It’s comforting to be able to read the Bible no matter where I am. The helps like various colored highlighters, bookmarks, word search and others, make this app one of my favorites.

Better Than I Thought. This is a very thorough bible app, highly customizable and is great to read on the phone. I can use this app coupled with my Spanish Bible and it’s just wonderful (and English is not my first language). Ty for this guys— even the privacy can be adjustable which helps ease ones mind.

Allow Privacy Management. I would like to see the option of being able to return to the 5.9.20 version and to be able to opt out of giving my information to Facebook. Using Facebook as your only installation processor goes against what should be your primary purpose, providing an app that allows Christians to view The Holy Bible without resorting to social media involvement. Facebook’s history and social policies generally run counter to Christian beliefs by politicizing liberal views against Christianity. Olive Tree needs to allow users to select their own privacy settings rather than not allowing any user choice and forcing information from my device to be turned over to Facebook without any input from users. This action does not reflect well on Olive Tree. There are other providers and options out there including returning to a printed Bible. Thank you.

Excellent bible. I am throughly impressed with all the features and how they function. I had purchased a digital study bible previously and the free version of this bible puts it to shame as far as ease of use. Thank you for providing such a wonderful tool for studying Gods Word!

Hi-lighting Feature is the Best. I LOVE that we’re able to hi-light throughout it and can even create our own unique hi-lighted colors. I also love that it has its own built in dictionar, I only miss that it’s dictionary doesn’t have definitions for all named locations (regions, cities, etc…) but I love it regardless. Great Job. Love this program. Do wish you could copy verses onto a clip board or send them by text or email. That would be useful for write sermons or trying to encourage someone. Would love to see a 90 guide to get through the psalms and proverbs; also a little bit of explanation.

New King James Bible. I’ve used this app for years. And I love it. For some reason it it not allowing me to go back to the Home Screen. What Happened?. Why throw away one of your assets: the green olive tree icon? I searched my iPad looking for my bible app. Not there! I figured one of the grandkids mistakenly deleted the app. No problem, I thought, I'll down load the app again. Turns out it was still there, but disguised as a red plain icon. Is there a way to go back to a previous app version?

Such a Blessed App..!. This application is such a blessing to me daily. They update it so much too! Today I received an update that makes it give me daily devotional scripture notifications with pictures. I can change the background and highlight verses. Good fast NKJV Bible app.. This is a Good fast Bible app. Although I prefer to read real paper most of the time, I use this app quite often while studying especially for cross reference and concordance work. It has such an efficient look up design that I saves me a bunch of time!

Easy to read and navigate. When reading books with references to Bible verses, this is a quick and easy way to access the verse. And my phone is always nearby to look something up

Morning Bible Study. My husband and I do our morning Bible Study together each morning and I use this app to help me search for the scriptures in a quicker matter. Sometimes it’s more convenient for me especially when I’m out and about if I need to search for a particular scripture.

Awesome!. Must have app that has everything you need. You can switch it to a black background with white letters for reading at night. You can also highlight and look up the definition of a word. Navigating is very easy as well. I’m extremely grateful someone made this. Thank you

Great Bible App. Great breadth and depth of available Bible translations, study bibles, commentaries, etc. Also, a user friendly user interface. Highly recommend. One small functional miscue… cannot easily get back to a verse previously looked up…. UPDATE: I can get back to HISTORY !EASILY! (I can set up a “Geture” (settings/advance settings/gesture-shortcuts). AWESOME!! 5 Stars!!

Excellent Resource. Everything that you need to do you can do in this app. I love being able to take notes as I read my lessons. I'm also able to switch between bibles with ease. Highlighting, copying and pasting... All effortlessly... This is an excellent app.

Instant access to the word. Just seconds before I was asked for a review, the radio preacher said a verse that has been on my lips since I awakened. So I opened my bible (iPhone) to look it up with the search option. To have a Bible at your fingertips is so important. I absolutely love the app

Opinion. Still Donna t like this as well as my Glo bible as I has sooo many verses highlighted and have lost it! I'm sure it will,be fine when I learn how to do everything, I'm 75 and have some memory problems ,so it takes a little longer!! I read through the Bible every year and each year different verses pop out to me and it's really helped !!!

This One works for me!. This app works great for me. For years, I have been trying to read through the Bible with no success. I always started strong, but never finished. I will complete the New Testament before the end of the year and move into the Old. It’s like eating and elephant. One bite at a time. Thanks for your help.

Love it. Like having the Bible on my phone. I have my phone with me everywhere I go, and when God sends me somewhere and I need his word, it is my strength that I have his word. At times God wants me to share a word, I want to give it to them the exact words, from the Bible, God’s Holy word!

Convenient way to keep God’s Word with me all day.. I have a thick (heavy) Study Bible that is a GREAT blessing & encouragement to me but I don’t carry it around all day. Carrying this app in my pocket allows me to refer to the Word throughout the entire day. The format is convenient & easy to use.

Great app. I love this app because it is so easy to take notes and go back to them whenever needed. When reading a verse the note is right there. No need for notepads that you would have to find and and then locate that particular verse.

Outstanding App.. I too have used this on several platforms-Samsung phone, PC, and now IPad. The search feature I wonderful. I like to look at various translations-Kjv, niv, niv, etc. switching is easy and accurate. The reason I am updating this is the app just sent me a message that Christ has risen! Indeed! Great app!

Great app. I have logos (and paid for many resources) and olive tree (also with paid resources). Olive tree, has a better user interface and makes study so much easier. They also have regular sales so it is pretty easy to build up a decent library while saving some cash.

Every tool I need. I never open the Bible software on my computer anymore. Everything I need for serious study and devotional reading is here on my iPad. The Mounce Kophisto apparatus with the NA27 Greek NT is absolutely invaluable for word studies. It isn't inexpensive, but it's worth every penny and more.

You Version. I love this site and the great many resources. Serving as a hospital and law enforcement chaplain I have frequent need of positive messages, not always specifically for the patients or families but more so to carry me through the most painful and difficult events witnessing overwhelming grief and suffering. Awsome!!. I read this App Every Morning! It's got Everything you need to Learn more about Jesus, and all kinds of Goal setting, Very well planned out "Plans" and Good Reads on different subjects! Like: Lent Season, From Saul to Paul, The 4 Main Gospels, ect... It takes me a good hour every morning to read all the different "Plans" I've chosen!!! Praise God!! Your App is A MUST HAVE!!

Olive Tree Bible is Awesome!. I read it every day for hours. I customize the font size and then read the many reading choices from the drop down menu. It makes reading and studying more interesting.

This is amazing from the features to the devotions and I love how it give you a study plan!!!!!! Love it!. I love this app for a lot of reasons but mostly because wherever I shut it off that I can open back up and it still at the same spot. I don’t have to write down where I was.

Convenience. When I am in the car waiting or just on lunch break I can open the app and read a few verses before returning to my daily activity for the day. Easy to use just very convenient.

Easy to manage and free!. It’s easy to keep up with daily readings when the app lets you know what to read. Completing daily readings by pushing a button is satisfying. Reference resources are easy to access and the user can choose from many Bible versions.

NKJV and NIV. Both translations are good. I prefer the NKJV in the sense that it is closer to being a literal translation. Pronouns and titles which indicate deity are capitalized which is vital to clarity. I refer to the NIV to provide a more flowing narrative which sometimes stirs a deeper emotion or response from the heart but I keep in mind that reverence and reference to God and Jesus is sometimes lost when pronoun capitalizations are not used for Him and His Son.
