Apple Watch?. Is great but I’ve been checking on the Apple Watch version. Is there an Apple Watch complication?I prefer not to take out my phone when I have my watch.

App is nice.. I have been using this app for quite some time. Just recently it won’t open when I go to use it. I think it’s time for this app to get an update!!

Not just another Tip Calculator. Yes yes there are maybe dozens of tip calculators here on the apps store, but this one is the best I have found. ++ It has the Round up and Round Down buttons! (Thank you) Such a simple feature but is the only one here I have found with both round up and down. + I does not have the silly split function that I personally never use. + Simply and easy to use. - It misses 5 stars only because it seems a bit slow to respond to input especially when first starting the program. It is by far the best tip calculator here, and well worth the price.

Difficult to use, not accurate. Nice icon, though!. A larger number keypad would make it easier to use -- no need to have all the extra symbols when only numbers and "." are used. Where I live, there is no tax on alcoholic beverages, so choosing to exclude the tax from the tip computation based on a tax percentage applied to the entire bill would result in a tip that is too small. I assume this is true in many places in the US.

So far, so good!. Read reviews and wondered, so I couldn't resist. I am running iOS 4.2.x and haven't had any problems with crashes. Seems to work great. I really like the "manly" look it has instead of the other crap I've seen. The only thing I don't see is the ability to split the check, or it would have gotten 5 stars.

What happened?? 🤷🏻‍♀️. I have used this app for years & loved it but lately it hasn’t been working. I try to open it but it won’t load anymore.

Love the app but. I have used this app for years and love it. Really nothing negative about the app, just wish they would step up and make compatible with iwatch. Would be much easier than having to drag phone out each time. Otherwise, great app.

Super easy. Simple, easy, exactly what I was looking for in a tip calculator. As other reviewers have mentioned there is no 'split check' function. But you can turn the annoying click sound off unlike some other tip calc apps. This is an extremely simple app. Dig it.

Make my bill even..... I like that this app lets you make your bill "even". The "round up" feature allows your bill to be an even amount and include the tip. This app makes tipping easy and gives you the bonus feature of "rounding up" to get an even bill amount. (I know it weird to like even bill amounts, but some people are just weird like that :)

Great until the upgrade.... I assume they'll fix the issues (hopefully quickly), & it was a great app previously, so that's why the 5 stars. But I am experiencing the crashing problems - I can enter the amount, but if I press any button on the next screen (tip percent, round up/down), it crashes. But it's great when it's working! I have faith that the problems will be fixed.

Great app that handles the tax. This is a great app that will handle the sales tax correctly. Keep up the good work!

If not working after iOS update, delete and re-download. Like others who have recently left a review this app stopped working after the last iOS update. After deleting the app and re-downloading it I was able to launch the app again. So happy to discover this because I think it’s the best tip calculator. I’m concerned though because it hasn’t been updated in 3 years so it’s days may be numbered.

Easy to use!. Quick and easy the way it should be. I mean come on it's just a tip you certainly don't want to have to be messing with it more than a few seconds, we got other things to do right? The sliding tip calculator is a very nice convenient touch. I like it

Easy to use; gets the job done!. Best I've found. Streamlined UI that allows me to quickly calculate tips. It does just what I need it to do, without a lot of busyness. Like the round up or down feature!

Perfect tip calculator. Even though this app hasn't been updated for a while, it's still my favorite tip calculator. It does what it advertises and does it wonderfully. Nice looking UI and very easy to use. I love the rounding functionality. I've tried many other tip calculators, and they just don't compare. I love how this app allows you to enter the final total and it backs out the sales tax.

Works great but only 4 whole percents. I am giving this 5 stars because it does a great job of figuring whole percentages. I know this is going to sound goofy but I wanted it to figure 11.1 percent and it rounds it down to 11 when I attempt it. My wife says I have OCD just because I try my best to get all numbers the same when possible. I love 2 get up at 4:44 for instance so I'd like to leave 11.1 percent but don't guess I will. Great app though for normal people.

Quick and easy. Quick, easy, and to the point. The display is uncluttered which makes inputting and retrieving the output easy. I like the sliding adjustment and the rounding function. If the service is poor, I can just keep sliding the tip as far down as needed. It would make a fun game to play with the waitstaff. Estimate your bill and let them see their tip increase or decrease depending on their level of service.

Roger. Great app. Sitting in resturant downloaded app, figured tip before waitress got back. Didn't know how to figure tip because used to old phone that had a tip calculator on it. Sure like this one better than the old one!!!

Does not work on iOS 14. Used this app for years but it does not work after installing the latest iOS update. Unfortunately uninstalled.

Needs an update. I love this app I have had it since day 1 but it needs an update. The app will not open with the new iOS 14 update.

Won't round to nearest whole dollar. I used to love this app but the latest update took away the ability to have the tip rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. No me gusta Update: YOU FIXED IT!!! Thanks. Gaines all your stars back in my book. 

Still the best after 6 years.... A very well thought out application with a solid and sensible design. It's amazing how many tipping apps out there don't get it right. This one does. It doesn't have ability to split the bill among friends - but that's not a big deal. [Anyway, that feature would add infrequently used clutter to the app screen - and I AM capable of doing basic division, if necessary!] The app has a fast and intuitive user interface. Among the dozen or so tipping apps I've tried, this one has become my favorite.

Perfect! Simple to use & fast!. My Dad would love this! He's in his 80's, and hates tipping on tax-added bill totals - and this has a setting that automatically recalculates the bill to subtract your local tax, and then figures the tip from there! You can select 3 "usual" tip % amounts you like to use, for quick results, or enter some other %; and if you prefer rounding the grand total up/down to even-dollar amounts, just push a button, and viola! I'd happily have paid for this - at "free", it's a steal! Try it for youself, it really is "perfect"!

Outstanding App until.... I updated to 14.3 and then it stop working. Won’t even open now.

this is the best tipping app!. I’ve downloaded many tipping apps and this is the best! What is really great is that when you round up or down, you can see what % tip that would be. (Being able to return quickly to the un-rounded state would be nice, though. ) I would love to see that functionality on an Apple Watch app. Also, there’s a bug with Restore Purchases on my iPhone X iOS 11.1. It just spins the waiting circle when you press it. There’s also a bug with submitting feedback on the developer website— even if I use iPhone browsers that don’t block content I still get an error that cookies aren’t being accepted and the feedback doesn’t seem to be sent, so I’m stuck reporting the problem here.

Needs Apple Watch support - love this app. Please make this to wear we can get on our watches. I payed for the ad removal and use this all the time

No updates. App hasn’t been updated in years, hasn’t been updated to support larger iPhone screens and multitasking. The app reverts back to 0 if you exit and come back to it from the background.

Very nice app. It does what it advertises, and makes calculating the tip and total a snap. Nice app icon, too. The only improvement I can see would be to simplify the number input to be more like entering a phone number-just focus on numbers, with a slightly larger interface. There are a lot of unnecessary characters for a cash calculation (e.g. &?@;). The round-up/down and percent slider are nice features.

The Perfect App for Mathphobes. I'm a confirmed mathphobe. I see it as a necessary evil. I absolutely love this app!! Instantly calculates the tip amount and even lets you round the total either up or down. Allows you to select 10, 15, or 20 percent tips. Takes the stress out of dining out and trying to figure out how much to tip. Awesome little app!!

Quick and easy to use; a "must buy". This is a great and fast tip calculator. I use this occasionally when I'm not sure how much I should tip. Quick and easy to use. One of those "must buy" apps for iphone and ipod touch's.

Very Reliable. I’ve been using this tipping calculator for years and it is so reliable and easy to use. I tried other tipping calculators, just to compare and it’s not as good as this one. This is simple and straight to the point. You can also change it a little and display how you want your tipping calculator to show for your convenience! Instead of the sliding percentage feature, I chose the button feature and I was able to choose 3 different percentage options for tipping. I LOVE it and I’m happy that it’s such a useful app on my phone. Thank you developers for making it easy!

Works great. Program works great. The settings are not in the program, they are in the settings menu of the iPhone. I saw people could not find them before.

Won’t open. Used the app for years ... updated my iPhone 10 XR to the latest version and now the app won’t open. Like other reviewers I hope you fix it

The best free tip calculator!. This version of QuickTip DOES have the ability to round up or down to the nearest dollar. And it has a number of other useful settings. Definitely worth getting!

Gets the job done!. I don't know why the reviews are so bad for this app. I have had this for years and have tried other tip calculators that are too complex and/or not user friendly... Including a few that inlaid for before finding this gem. Type in the total, use scroll bar to pick percentage and it will tell you tip amount and total. Simplistic and highly recommended!

A wonderful, useful free app. This is definitely the best tip app out there, because it's free, it's simple and it's quick to use. However, it could be just a bit more featured, to make the tax part more clear. I wish the tax would be shown, and how it would be shown would depend on the "Exclude Tax" setting in the app settings, so that it's clear on the main screen of the app whether or not you're tipping on the tax total or if you're tipping on the sub-total before tax. And now this might get a bit confusing, but it's a seperate thing: there should also be a toggle, which would factor into how the tax mode works (no matter what tax setting you have), whether the bill amount that you enter includes the tax or not. This makes it a bit more complicated, but I'm sure you could do it nicely. There's more than enough room to format the screen to do this. And, a "split the bill" addition would also be great.

I like it.. It's easy to use and customize how you like to tip (percentage on total or before tax, round up or down). I like it, it's working for me.

No longer great. This used to be a great app until they removed the tax exclusion button. Now it is just useless. You get the same result if you just use the % button when tipping on the credit card payment machine. So why do u need this app? I wish I didn't update.

Handy, but missing one little thing.... A great handy way to calculate tip for those of us who aren't so good at doing percentages in our heads. It's good that you're able to specify tax included or not (e.g. Whether $8.99 is before-tax price with tip calculated based on that, or $8.99 is after-tax price with calculated based on before-tax price). One missing feature that would really help with places that don't split bills: be able to give your before-tax price, local tax rate, and desired tip % (calculated based on before-tax $8.99), and get your total bill, including tax + tip. E.g. I know I ordered $8.99 of food before tax. If I specify a 13% tax rate, don't tell me my subtotal was actually $7.96 and my total is $8.99; tell me my subtotal is $8.99 and my tax is $1.17 so my pre-tip, post-tax bill is $10.16. Then give me my tip as a % of the pre-tax bill ($1.35 as 15%) and give me my total as pre-tax food + tax + pre-tax tip ($11.51).

Good app. Nicely calculate tip and determine percentages, rounding, etc. Only don't like the ads in the app.... So minus 2 stars

Removes tax exclusion. The maker of this app has removed the tax exclusion part, which is the reason I purchased the full app. Tipping on tax isn't right. The tax does not add value to service. The app is pretty much useless to me now just use the calculator.

Doesn't Work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This would be a useful app if it actually worked! As soon as you enter the amount of the bill the stupid app closes on its own. Completely useless, you can find other ones that actually work.

Well Done. A great app overall. Easy to use and can be used to figure out taxes on items, groceries etc. Also very simple layout, best of all it's free!

Update bug. Great app, I use it all the time and it's simple to use. After the last update it just shuts down when u enter the bill total. Don't give up on this one, I'm sure they'll fix it!

Remove tax feature. UPDATE: Now for some reason the update disappeared and the app is without the tax feature. How long does it take to put something back that was there in the first place? Please fix asap. Previous comment: Why would you take that away? Not going to update to new version. This app was perfectly fine before this latest update. Use it every time I dine

Une chance que c'est gratuit.... Pratique pour ceux qui, comme moi, sont mauvais en calcul mental et ne sont jamais sûrs de donner le bon montant en pourboire et/ou ont de la difficulté à calculer le bon montant indiquer sur la facture ou lors du débit... Cependant, si ce n'était pas gratuit, on trouverait l'app très limitée. Surtout, la traduction française est affreuse!!!

Why remove sales tax exclusion?. This was the single most useful feature for accurate tips. Why did you remove??! There was no reason at all to remove and no way to get it back. Down to 1 star since I can get other free ones with this important feature. Wil restore rating after this is fixed.

Use it often but wish it had split function. I use this app almost everyday since I eat out more than I cook. This app had its ups and downs but overall a great tip calculator. I don't think it's worth $1.99 just to remove AD. I will happily pay you the $2 if you can add split function.

No split feature. Seemed like a great app & I would have loved it if it had a split feature. It is clean & simple. That is my only gripe but its a huge thing for me since I go out in groups 98% of the time. I will check back if they update it with that feature. Until then I found an app that fits the bill.

Great program. I really like this program and would like to buy it as I feel good programs should be bought. But $1.99 just to remove the ad's with no added features is to much. Make it $.99 and I'll buy.

Good but limited use. I made a mistake and downloaded this thinking it would also divide the bill between diners. It does not, so I'm not sure how useful this is. Sadly, the slider is not very responsive. Nonetheless it's free and easy to use.

Miracle. I was trying to use this app to calculate the tip on a date and before I know it, my date turns into Selena Gomez and I accidentally find the cure to cancer. Beautifully simplistic design.

Need to add one thing.... I like this app, i'm keeping it, but can I recommend an update that you can add the number in your party to split the bill? That would be great! Still, it's a free app that takes sales tax into account, so thank you for that!

Great app!!!. App is great when trying to calculate a fair tip quickly in these economic times. My only suggestion, I would love to be able to adjust the local tax rate to the correct percentage for the state I live in.

Annoying clicks. At least give us an option to turn off the typing sounds. I hate typing clicks and don't want to mute my sound every time I use this app!

LOVE IT!. This is great since my math isn't. I haven't had a problem with it - works like a dream. I love the round up/round down feature too if you like to keep your amount even.

works as ADVERTISED. THIS great tool helps me in maintaining my bill EVEN, AND also the slider can assist me to quickly change my percentage of the total amount, it must be an useful app to everyone

User friendly. Easy to use, good looking interface, does the math correct every time... Awsome founding function built in! All around a great app.

Program has errors and locks up.. Calculates erroneous tips when using buttons customized to 15, 18, and 20 percent. Locks up sometimes. Also, slider only stops on whole percentages, so unable to slide to a rounded tip. Had to delete this app.

App Crashes. Agree with recent comments- this app used to work great. Not the case anymore. Don't download- it crashes. Please fix the bugs!

There is No "Setting" Option. They say that you can exclude sales tax in the "Settings" option, but there is no Settings option available. Thus, this program is similar to any other iPhone App for calculating tips.

Amazing launch time, go-to app. Launch time on 2.9.3 is crazy fast. Lifesaver for when I need to figure out tip FAST. Shading on the numbers pad sometimes could feel unnecessary but it's ok since it's otherwise an excellent app.

Supreme. This is the BEST tip calculator I don't need to split the bill between 2 or more people but it sure would help others so I am taking off a star, sorry. You guys saved me from paying for a confusing dozen or so apps.

Practicality. It's a great app when u do have sales tax and u trying to figure out the tipping . I recommended to several friends. VERY handy.

Used to be good. I used to use this app all the time but recent changes have forced me to give it a 1 star instead of 5 stars. The option to exclude the sales tax was the feature I liked the best. It was so bad I had to download another app. My recommendation is to download iTip or TipCalculator. Return the sales tax option and I'll return until then this app is worthless to me.

Takes WAY too long to load. Let's face it, you want to calculate the tip before your GF or cute waitress realizes you can't do the math in your head. Better plan ahead with this app; the calculator is disabled for a few short/long moments before you can type anything. It appears the app might be downloading advertisements before it will run - but I'm just guessing.

Awful UI - uninstalling... There are so many other ones that have much better UI with one screen operation rather than going back and forth for a simple tip calculation. Sales tax support is hard to use and annoying to keep changing when using app in different states like commuting from NJ and NY which have different tax rates.

Works fine. I've had this app for 2 years. Works great everytime if you have the settings correct (state tax) and your preference for tip amount. Do a hard reset if the app crashes.

Tax?. Seriously people? You're worried about paying 20% more of 5%? Sheesh. Round down a percentage and grow up. This is the best tip calc I've used, and have used for years.

Simply the best. This is an incredibly simple app on the surface. It does exactly what's advertised, and also has a fantastic level of customization. Love it!

Need to add. It would be even better if there was a spot to divide the bill for more then one person

The best tip calc I've seen. Honestly, this is one of the best tip calcs on the app store.. sales tax factoring is a huge benefit. A couple requests: 1) I wish the tip slider was larger. I'm having trouble getting it to move sometimes. 2) Functionality to split checks.

Quick and easy to use. This app lets you set a good amount of options. When your using it, it is very streamlined and easy to just get the info. I tried a bunch of these app's and this was the best.

Nice and simple. Simple with big numbers. Maybe someone could replace the sliding scale with predefined percents (ie: 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%) buttons instead. The round up and down is handy a feature.

Glad to have it!. It has always worked, I like to just pay the bill and not have to fuss with the math at times and this is a great tool for those days.

Exactly what I've wanted!. This app is so easy to use! You can even round the total or the tip up or down, depending on what you want!

Does its job. Does what it needs to do. Only reason I'd consider changinf to a different tip app is the fact that the icon doesn't fit with the rest of my iOS app; looks out of place. Wish it was changed.

poor customer support. I give it a 1 star because they are choosing to only support iOS 4.x or higher. Knowing that there are still alot of us that have 3G and not 3GS and the iOS v4 update is so INCOMPATIBLE with 3G, they are chopping off many of their customers. I'm not willing to upgrade to 4 until I can see that Apple is improving some of their "glitches". I was once a loyal customer. I will have to rethink it.

One Small Issue. On my phone, there seems to be a bit of lag when launching the app after the first time you run it. If I bring up the task tray an kill the app, then it launches faster for some reason. Other than that, best tip calc there is.

I can't imagine not having this app. Wonderful and very easy to use
