Glitch..:and ZERO user support. Hi. A while back I was getting annoyed frequently with Shazam: Sometimes it would come back with “no result” for very well-known songs. I contacted you guys many times, never got a response (because respect for the users without whom you wouldn’t exist isn’t really something your industry does, is it?)…. Eventually I discovered on my own that going into the Shazam settings in my iPhone, and turning the microphone off briefly and back on, would fix it. That, I can live with. But I’ve had to do that three times in hand an hour this morning; I can’t ever remember that happening before. Went to Shazam in the App Store to find a support link, and there IS an “app support” section, but it leads ONLY to Apple physical products like iPhone. FIX YOUR APP AND MAKE **SOME** SUPPORT AVAILABLE, PLEASE!

Shazam is great. Shazam is an exceptional app that revolutionizes the way we discover and enjoy music. Its intuitive interface and impressive audio recognition technology allow users to identify songs playing around them with remarkable accuracy and speed. Whether it's a catchy tune in a restaurant, a captivating melody on the radio, or a captivating track in a movie, Shazam effortlessly provides users with the song title, artist, and even lyrics, instantly connecting them to their favorite music. Moreover, Shazam goes beyond identification, offering a seamless integration with popular streaming platforms, enabling users to effortlessly listen to and explore the vast catalog of music. With its sleek design, comprehensive features, and unparalleled convenience, Shazam remains an indispensable companion for music enthusiasts, making it a truly great app.

“Shazam!”. There used to be a time in my younger years, it was a simple matter of identifying every single piece of music played on the radio. Now we’re in the 21st Century; radios have become practically obsolete, devices for playing music media beyond number. Each device having the capacity upwards of 100,000 songs. The average person needs some help knowing every song being played in a room within hearing range. Through the past ten years or more I’ve drifted back, and forth to Shazam. As my tool for telling me the name of the song I’m listening to. I’ve always never failed to notice, whenever there’s a song I need to know something about. Someone in the room has Shazam on the cell phone to help me out. Finally after a very long absence of getting by without Shazam on my phone. I downloaded the Shazam app on my phone for a long awaited reunion. The nicest feature about Shazam, it automatically connects me to my Apple Music. Then I can add the music I so quickly get identified added to my music collection on ITunes. Download the Shazam app, and give the music collection, and knowledge base a huge lift.

Shaquille O’Kneel down to the king, Shazam.. I would like to put things into perspective by simply saying that if you are like me and have an acute fear of certain social interactions. One of those social underwear in school style nightmares is when I hear a song that just slaps my eyebrows off(in the best way possible) or that feeling you get when you hear a song that you haven’t heard since back when everyone discovered music via the radio. Each of those is a prime juicy example of how SHAZAM integrates its awesome self into your heart and phone haha I don’t want to boast too much but I have SHAZAM as a MF widget on my home screen... just saying all I do is click on the S-wait like 4 seconds-the BLAM- Shazam is all “here’s the exact song for you sir”- “would you like to add it to your playlist that you already had straight from here?”- I’m like “shhiii you already know” and it’s as simple as that folks...Shazam is a lifesaver/uniquely personalized playlist making/anxiety saving app god. If you are reading this then you have made a mistake.. you should have downloaded it first and then read all my app-praising whilst the downloadeth finished. Duh

Special songs I like.. I like to purchase music to play in my car. I do not usually want to buy full albums, but specific songs that I like. What I love about Shazam is that there may be a commercial with a song I like or a movie will feature a certain song. I may not know the correct name or who sings it. All I have do is Shazam it and there it is. I have used it so many times. My playlist for my car is unbelievable. All good songs. Not 30% or 70%, but 100% songs I like. The only bummer is that I used to be able to press purchase And it took me right to the place where I could purchase the song. I can’t do that now or if I can I do not know how. I am not interested in paying a monthly fee for all the music in the world. I want only specific songs and sometimes I might not be able to remember the name. Purchasing is the best option for me!

Thought It Was Good...But. Had been using this app on and off in combination with SoundHound. One feature I like about this app is that you can “search a song” and it will save it to a history log Same As SoundHound but unfortunately this history isn’t “device transferable” unlike SoundHound and also I did I a series of searches from the control center (panel) which is a extremely useful feature that I don’t think SoundHound has but it was to my surprise after (falling default) to this method that these “searches” weren’t being saved only the ones that were searched when the app was visible on screen which as mentioned before is device specific and I can’t view on a different device 4/5 stars if this app saved history from the beginning of time as SoundHound did it would get the 5 stars as even if you logged in later after searching a series they would simply get added to you me account history with location(SoundHound) A+ App though I will say

Shazaman! Searchin!. I’ve been using Shazam for over 10 years I barely thought about giving it a review. Not that it really needs it, because many people already know about the app globally. It’s the best app to see what artist/tv/movie/radio is playing! I remembered when I first used it when 3G was barely the next gen with it at these speeds it made it so much better to search for the details without any needs to going the the webpage or anything else it is at your fingertips just one click their is a way to say “Shazam” to start the searching. I am not to sure if it works with everything. Most o the type I find my self just using Siri to do most of my stuff while moving around. It’s a very useful app because you may what to know what movie someone is watching or a friend my want to know without interrupting the movie they can search seamlessly!

Surfrider, The Lively Ones. I’ve always appreciated the Shazam app but somehow using it just a few moments ago I appreciate it more than ever. I’m a musician and have a great ear for music but on occasion I hear a song I like and don’t know who it is. Thats when Shazam shines. A little while ago I finished watching Pulp Fiction uncut and uninterrupted for probably the 50th time since it’s debut. I love the soundtrack and as the movie ended while credits were rolling, the song thats playing really caught my ear. I immediately thought who is this? And for a moment I got discouraged because in that moment I knew I need to learn that song on guitar but didn’t know who the band was or what song was playing. Then I thought of Shazam. Shazam instantly told me it was The Lively Ones playing their hit song Surfrider. I’ll sit down tomorrow with my Fender Stratocaster and learn Surfrider. Then within the next month or so my band is gonna bust out Surfrider live at a gig! Thank you Shazam!!! Sincerely, Tyler

Marmelaid and Shazam. I was surprised to find Shazam so easily identifying music and giving me the name of the band and the song. Shazam is a amazing product and I would be willing to pay for this product since I try to listen to the old music from my past but unfortunately, when you reach your mid 60s, it’s harder to remember the names of the songs that you liked so much when you were 20 years old. the program Shazam is wonderful to have on my phone and is capable of taking me back 40 years plus in order to remember the songs that I used to listen to every day. My dad was very very progressive in his music, and he passed away in his mid-60s and that was 20 years ago, but he was an amazing man and was able to remember the names of the songs and also listen to them daily. He had such a beautiful voice and could sing songs, so amazingly, this program takes me back like I said to my youth, when I can remember not only the names of the bands, but the lyrics of each song that I listen to. I can still remember 90% of them, but as time goes on music is one of those things that you don’t forget how the songs went and how to play them on my guitar that I started so many years ago. I highly recommend Shazam for all of your music, dreams and desires. Thank you so much for such an amazing program.

Too many changes, too much Greed $$’s. When Shazam app first came out, IT was a fantastic product!! and you could Shazam a song on radio, in a car, on TV... and listen to it “”all”” later & see lyrics, share complete song/video with family & friends.... it was a 5-star App... after it was sold... purchased and changed & compromised by ? Apple ... ? ?new ownership.. the immediate Greed for money appeared and then extra music fees, purchases, memberships tainted this once useful App... greed, yes, greed... absolutely destroyed the once marvelous features and freedom of use and listen to songs, many saved & shared.. & CD’s purchased at retailers... Family & friends tell me they seldom use it since all the changes and restrictions and new, greedy charges imposed/required to ‘checkout a song’. I’d have to say... that’s what killed its once, highly rated popularity... Apple Music and Spotfy biggest issues I hear about...$$$’s Good luck !

a compass for my soundtrack of life. certain songs have always popped up at special times in my life, adding to a soundtrack of my life that brings back those memories. One very dark day in a surreal phase in my life, I spontaneously decided to ride to the coast to revisit a renovated historic inn for breakfast, something I always wanted to do since the last time I was there way back in my youth. As I walked thru the inn decorated with an eclectic assortment of odds & ends and sat down in the dining area, one of those high quality portable speakers was streaming this very haunting vintage-like song that caught my ear so I pulled out my iPhone & Shazam’d it, quickly identifying it as Song of the Highest Tower by Cut Worms. The song turned my attitude around, almost like a slap in the face returning me back to reality. Now I have a nice collection of music by Cut Worms but that song especially awakens my soul thanks to Shazam.

Not nearly as accurate or useful as claimed. I really don’t get the appeal of Shazam. It usually doesn’t work. If it’s a top-40 song, it works pretty well. Anything else, and most of the time it says “No result”. Or it picks a song seemingly at random. Then if you try again, it picks a different random song. It has no concept of “I’m not sure what this is so here’s a couple guesses”. The wrong answers are never even from the right genre. It’s like talking to a smart-but-dumb computer on a 1960’s sci-fi movie. There isn’t a way to train it, either. It’s even difficult to remove an incorrectly Shazam’d song from the history — it takes about 6 taps, which is about 5 too many for something I want to do half the time I hit the Shazam button. The other case where it’s good but not useful is classical music. Its accuracy with classical music is excellent. Unfortunately, again, it snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, this time by displaying only the title and *performer* (usually conductor), but not the composer. “String quartet #7”? I guess that narrows it down but it really wasn’t what I was looking for. I wish Shazam worked well, and provided results in a useful format. Right now, it’s a novelty when it works at all. UPDATE: Now it’s started nagging me about “cloud backup” and a bunch of other useless stuff. Please stop. You have one useful feature. Make it better. Don’t go trying to make me integrate my life or some garbage like that.

Major iCloud SYNC problem with Apple. I have used Shazam since it came out in 2002 and I love it!!! I’ve purchased countless Apple products from their 1st iPod to present iPhones & iPads. I run the latest iOS on all my devices; however there is a minor problem with iCloud sync. When you turn on iCould Sync for SHAZAM, it DOES NOT SYNC properly. I had thousands of songs from over the years and after turning on iCloud Sync I was left with ONLY 16 songs. (And if you’re wondering…I tried restoring my devices from my iCloud and iTunes backup, but neither worked since it’s not a separate category, and the songs were gone for good.) I contacted Apple support immediately and they didn’t even know they owned the app since 2018 (it’s now October 2022) and refused to help. Said “it’s not their problem.” I spent a week calling Apple everyday and every Support Person was horrible and rude. Over a 4 hour period, I was transferred to 25+ Senior Advisors & countless departments and each said it’s not their app and transferred me to the next Rep. I finally gave up! If you search Shazam on the Internet…all of this is public knowledge that Apple owns it, it’s not considered a third party app, & it states to contact Apple for support. To sum up…Shazam is great, Apple products are great, but APPLE SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE!

Not as smart as you’d think. Shazam (at least for me) takes a long time to open to the point where it’s possible to press the Shazam button. Then, it takes a while to recognize the song. Often, a song ends before it can do all that. What usually happens is that I hear a song, then decide in the course of listening that I want to identify it. Then, the above happens and the song ends without being identified. I feel like I’m supposed to start Shazam-ing as soon as the song starts. That doesn’t seem realistic since I need to hear at least some of the song to know that I want to know more about it. Also, it’s not as smart as a human. It seems to recognize data embedded in the song rather than the actual characteristics of the music. If you Shazam a live performance of a well-known song—say, a performance on an NPR show—it will not recognize it.

The most important app in the history of the internet!. Shazam! When I was young I would spend a third of my meager pay check that I earned working at an ice cream shop situated on University hill in Boulder CO by walking across the street to “Album’s on the Hill” on my breaks and buying music. I seldom came across a CD that had more than one or two good songs on it and so I prayed. I prayed for the music gods to give me the power to identify, sample, and explore an artist’s catalogue without committing my hard earned cash to the proverbial crap shoot that was the new and used CD bins at the local record shop. Shazam you heard my prayer and you answered. It’s like you’re always listening and you have all the answers… wait Shazam are you…no you can’t be…but perhaps to an old skeptic like me you’re pretty much God.

Customer for life. This story really starts about 10 years ago - I was at a concert and heard this really great song playing with no idea who it was. I got about 4 seconds of it on video and that was it. I had been looking for this song forever, I even posted the video on reddit in an attempt to find it. No luck. Then one day, I’m watching a hockey game and hear the song playing in the background while the announcers are talking. I kinda freak out, grab my phone and try to Shazam it. They couldn’t find the song, which made sense because there was so much sound happening over it, but still such a bummer. This is where it gets good. Like 3 months later I get a notification from Shazam that they identified a song I had been looking for. I didn’t even know they did that - they had finally found THE song! So now it’s on my workout playlist, I listen to it all the time, and I swear by Shazam. Truly a great app.

My only problem. Do you guys even look at the reviews??? My only problem is with the app’s widget. Shazam creates an unavoidable and seemingly impossible obstacle to get around. It’s SUPER annoying that the app can’t identify my Apple membership. After shazamming a song, the song result appears, and if you want to listen to the full song or find it in Apple Music, it displays a screen that gives you two options; subscribe to Apple Music or ‘already a subscriber?’. Even after choosing already a subscriber, it takes you to another screen that makes you choose a plan. No way around it other than remembering the song name and artist and manually going into Apple Music and searching it up which isn’t a hard task at all but then what’s the point of offering a service or option that doesn’t work? I don’t have the app just the widget. Could that be why? This seems like a bug. Please fix! Id give you 5 stars but then I don’t think you’d look at the review when it’s 5 stars! Lol

When I need the right words.... Ever had a song stuck in your head. Regardless if it’s the latest top 40 hit or an old favorite from twenty years ago. Desperately wanting to put a little kick in your step or re-live a special moment, and you can’t because the words just are not there. The toon or the melody keeps playing over and over inside your head, but disappointed as the mood is shattered trying to piece together a few key words and make up a couple words that don’t even belong, left to hum a few bars then fizzle out. It absolutely kills the moment. Shazam affords the ability to locate that special song regardless of genre, artist, style or age of the hit. I am empowered to sing along with the tune, pull up the right lyrics and now that the frustration is over! You have helped me complete my day. Thank you Shazam!

Too bad that Shazam joined Apple. It used to be wonderful you could catch a tune and then sing along with the lyrics . I was HAPPY Now hours later you realize that it didn’t record and the magic of the mood is gone plus you got home and it is dark cold and lonely and you have to cook dinner instead of singing in the car on the way home. Now I can’t even find the Shazam’s where do they go on Apple and when I get home I don’t want to be scrolling around looking for music anyhow With the old Shazam I could pull up a huge long list of my Shazam’s and play them easily and move them to Apple playlists easily Now the software engineers screwed up and it is a mess Also my phone broke and I have a new phone I am afraid of losing my songs if I log in it is confusing how to move things to Apple

Love it- but needs quicker access. So this app has been extremely helpful in the past. I HATE when I can’t remember the name of a song, or figure out who is singing when it’s on the tip of my tongue. This app has helped cut those moments down. But I usually run into the issue of not getting to it fast enough. By the time I remember to use it and go to open it on my phone and then press the button, it’s often been too late and the song is over 😫. If it could be listening in the background or as soon as I open it could fix that. Also I understand the complexity involved, but a lot of times I want to look up or listen to a song but can’t remember enough lyrics or anything, just a tune. I wish there was an app that didn’t rely on exact recordings but you could hum or sing parts you remember and it could guess a few options..?! 😆 I know that’s a tall order, but someone will be able to do it sometime in the future I guarantee it! Go for it Shazam! Start now! Lol. Anyway I had it at 3 stars for those 2 reasons. But given the amount of songs it recognizes (it’s never not recognized one that I’ve tried), and how it only needs about 2-5 seconds of ANY PIECE of ANY SONG, I evened it out to a 4 ⭐️. It’s really a 5 for what it does, but a 3 for its potential to expand. So bam, you get 4. Kbye.

I love this app. I use this app so often. When I’m in the car and song comes on the radio that I want to learn about, or one I love and want to remember, I open Shazam and capture the song. It is really a wonderful tool. I even captured a song off a tv show we were watching last night! There was so much voice noise on top of the song I wasn’t sure it was going to work, and it took a couple of try’s rewinding the tv show and trying again, but bingo Shazam caught the song! I love that I can look at the list of “My Music”, songs that I’ve captured, and the option to listen in iTunes or to purchase. My song list stays, I guess till I delete something?, because they’re all there. This is one of the best apps available. And for sure one of my favorites. Thank you Shazam!

Almost Great but Still got a BUG ☹️. I LOVE 99% of EVERYTHING about Shazam. It Records & SAVES the Music I hope to ALWAYS have. It’s been recording & saving ALL my Music, even the ones I can’t remember I saved. And all to my Email too (Which I’ve had for YEARS). I love how instant it works & how it can find Most of the songs. Yeah, it still has trouble finding My Spanish speaking Music, but I Trust Shazam will get there Eventually. Although, I regret to say, but I have the Shazam app Icon, on my Scroll down menu (on iPhone 11) & yes, it does the job. I can tap on it & Shazam will instantly start recording & recognizing the song/music being played (on/from another app). BUT…… Once the Notification is shown/pops up & goes away, I later go to my actual Shazam app & the song I KNOW I just played & wanted memory recognition from, is NO LONGER THERE. Yeah Shazam tells me the songs I shazamed for THAT DAY & the days/weeks/etc. Passed. BUT MOST of them are NO LONGER THERE. Like they simply VANISHED. PLEASE Shazam. FIX THIS BUG. I Hate how it’s beginning to Defeat the purpose of even having a Shazam if it won’t properly store my songs anymore. & Who knows how long this has been going on. I’ve probably been missing hundreds of songs that I “thought was saved” when really, they weren’t. Moments GONE☹️ Be awesome Again!!

Very helpful. Love finding songs that I want to listen to later that I’m currently listening to wherever. Unless I’m offline in no service it saves it but if I accidentally exit out of the app, it will delete it and not find out what it was. And you have to open the app once your back in wifi/service for that offline one to be found, it won’t do it on its own so I usually forget to do so which is unfortunate.. or if your at the end of the song, sometimes it’s not enough time for it to figure out the song which is disappointing. Sometimes if it’s not a famous enough song or an unusual one, it can’t find it at all or sometimes it gets it wrong. That is probably the worst situation that happens with it but overall it’s helpful and definitely helps me find new music that I want to continue to listen to later..

Great app but weak connection. I always loved Shazam it serves as a great tool when discovering and exploring new music genres especially when you don’t know the name of the song. Just one problem, every time I try Shazamming every song it doesn’t work like at all. It’s always worked well no matter the location so bad service or internet connection is not an excuse. Yet every time I reinstall it, it starts to work again but sometimes or even most of the time it still doesn’t work. This is really becoming dumb and annoying because not only am I unable to discover music that I really begin to like and find interest in, but I don’t seem to understand why the app is now acting like this piece of junk to where it doesn’t seem to want to work anymore. Overall, great app and hopefully this is just some undiscovered bug.

I’ve Been Shazam—otized !!!!. This is the bestest app ever PEOPLE! If you want to know the name of a song and artist this is the app you want. It is so accurate and on point. I always keep Shazam open in the background because I love any kind of music that sounds good to me since I don’t have a preference in music my playlist varies and this is how I use it .......when I am listening to the radio and a new song comes on and I have never heard that song....BAAM! I SHAZAM IT RIGHT AWAY!!!! when a car goes by with a good song that I like, or when I go into any business to shop and they’re playing some nice song I immediately SHAZAM IT......I love the fact that I it also finds latin music not only English music and the app is able to find both languages, and even classical music, well the list goes on. I love it and use it basically everyday. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊

Works like crap on Apple Watch. I Shazam using my Apple Watch, EXPECTING the tracks to show up on the Shazam app on my iPhone so I can then add those tracks to my Apple Music library. RARELY do any of the tracks show up in the phone version of the app. My settings are all correct, there’s nothing I’ve neglected to do and I often check to make sure the settings are still correct, and they are. The problem lies with the Apple Watch version of the app, there are whole chunks of missing music, spanning weeks and sometimes months. I will purposely Shazam tracks by artists I know just to see if it’s working, NOPE, not one King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards track has EVER shown up in my list of Shazams, not one Ty Segall, not one Fuzz, and I’ve Shazamed at least 10 to 15 tracks of each of these artists. What’s the point of creating an Apple Watch app if it’s going to work like crap?! I’ll update my review if the developers ever DO make it work, but at this point I think it’s better to find a different music identification app, one that actually works on my watch, one that actually DESERVES to be on my watch face, cause Shazam isn’t it.

Late&love(GUILTY&HURT). Known of Shazam and I'm super sad that I haven't used this beautiful app more often. This app set the bar high for all and every other music app available.... whomever behind the development, the tedious process of making an app go live and it's like I've just scratched the surface of all Shazam has to offer me and all musically inclined people, bitten willingly with the need to dig into all the escape portals, out of the "reality of a world void of music as a whole. The vast world with credit and privileged material that moves the energies inside the soul of the party and only 3% of the world's population has the abilities to tap into such a world. Thank you Shazam. Thank you overqualified underappreciated artists in (🎙📻🎤🔈💿🎶🎶🎶) "thee "(IN)(DUST)(TRY) love to the pain for the vain gain...the extremely addicted to the "noise" to most people not bitten for a reason. We hear beyond and have evolved into something impenetrable. Kudos. Love. Please don't stop the music. (RI-Ri)

Love the app, miss the global map. Perfect app for many reason that have been stated by the many users you have. Love it and could picture a normal life without it, given my admiration and passion for music and musicians. Over the many updates, my favorite new artist and try explorer “secret weapon” was the global map navigation. Yes, it was tedious to expand at times, but this really a (admittedly skewed) idea of what any town were listening to, that could be pulled on that. Hope that map makes a come back, otherwise, superb essential app. Not sure how long ago that was...I have grown and I went to ups and downs!! Music is appeases the soul and spirit, and being able to always capture that “song”, and even do a bit of Karaoke with it...hope it leads to less wars..but also hope you are adding privacy respect to your mission. It’s a modern world and you must find a way to survive and be profitable. Just stopping by to say THANK YOU to you all AGAIN!!

Technology is beautiful. As a lover of both technology and music, Shazam is one of the best apps I’ve come across. Often times I will hear a beautiful piece of composition that catches my ear and don’t know the artist, song title or variant of it and can’t find it - but with Shazam, that’s a thing of the past. I’ve been using this program for some years now and one thing that has amazed me is the quickness in which Shazam can identify the music piece in question, currently watching “The Creator” (great Sci-Fi film btw) and it had a japanese or asian song that caught my ear (during the scene where the police raid the apartment to recapture Alpha) and I started the program up to capture the song on a part where it was just instrumentation under sounds and dialogue and within in less than 2 seconds Shazam picked up on what the song was and that is what motivated me to write this review. With the advent of A.I. I can only wonder what amazing benefits and new advancements can be made with Shazam. If you’re ever in search of a song artist, title or variant you hear in any media, THIS IS THE APP YOU WANT! Thank you Shazam devs for creating, maintaining and keeping this amazing application up to date. Keep up the great work!

Songs while offline. This app is very useful for finding songs you may not know the name of or new songs that you've never heard before. I only have a few problems with this app. When you shazam a song while your offline it says that it'll tell you the song when you have connection. I travel a lot and am a lover of all music genres so I have quite a majority of songs from around the world, and I might not always have wi-fi to connect to. I'm currently abroad for a wedding and my carrier doesn't support data outside of my country, so at the after party they played loads of songs I liked; I went to shazam them and waited till I got back to my hotel to open the app, and there was no sign of them. Another problem I have is Auto-Shazam. I turn it on and when I go listen to a song on a video and it doesn't react. Overall this app is useful, but there are some features that claim to work, but don't.

I'd be lost without Shazam.... I LOVE this app...for so many reasons! I'll mention a few... Love driving, hearing a song... Shazam! In a brick and mortar, hearing a fav...Shazam! Watching ANYTHING, on whatever form of entertainment I'm fancying, hear a fav or new song I'm feeling...Shazam! It's even able to pick up the music, over the dialogue being spoken...Shazam,! Amazing! When you Shazam tune-age, it gives you a quick view of the artist's "Top Songs/Albums", the album from which that particular song is from, AND the year that album, and the other top albums, were released...Shazam!! It displays the video of the song Shazam-ed... and gives video clips of that artist and clips from artists popular that same era...Shazam! I still have several more "Perks" featured in this app, but I think y'all get the idea...!?!? Right...?!👍🏾💖✊🏾Peace Out...!

💯love it !!!!. I love how this app allows me to know what songs are called when my other electronics will not tell me what it it called they expect me to guess and I love how this app allows me to know what the song is called right away and I love how it’s so easy all you have to do is tap the button it listens and it tells you the song and even if it doesn’t get it right away it’ll get it soon. That’s what I love about the app and for all those people who are reading this? I think you should definitely download this and thank you to the developers who made this this has helped me in so many situations. If I didn’t know the songs called and I wanted to know this helped me so thank you guys for creating this. This is a huge help. I personally think that this idea it was great. For all those people who are looking for a good app to help them know what the song is called. I definitely think you should get this.🙂💯👍

Awesome way to Name That Tune!!. I can’t remember who turned me onto this app years ago, but it’s always been a handy tool. The app is much improved since I first started using it. Most of the music I listen to is from the 60’s through the early 2000’s. Sometimes I use it if I hear something I know, but haven’t heard it in years and am drawing a blank. Other times, I will hear something on a TV show I like but have no clue who the current artist is. Shazam let’s you open the song in Apple Music and other options. You can save it, make a playlist and I’m sure some other tricks I haven’t figured out yet. It’s picked up titles within a couple seconds. In the past, If there was any dialog I would try to find a break in whatever show I was watching to find the song. Not the case anymore!

Only one problem. Can you guys add the ability for dark mode on iOS 12 I have an iPod touch and I want to Shazam songs it’s an older iPod touch from 2015 so it’s about seven years old now in about 2022 its 6 years old right now and I want to be able to Shazam songs and when I do I can have the little Sam list on the bottom that you can scroll up and look at to be in dark mode I’m sure it’s possible on iOS 12 I mean you made it possible on iOS 13 and my iPod touch can’t even do that and there are some apps that even on iOS 12 that have dark mode like Facebook so I mean it wouldn’t be that hard to do it on Shazam on iOS 12 on an old iPod touch just with an update in the Shazam store please that’s what make my day I hate being blasted with the song last and white when I go into the app At least make it a little darker it doesn’t have to be super dark just a little darker like a grayish dark dark mode and then I’ll be happy I mean Facebook has a gray/dark mode on iOS 12 on the iPod touch for crying out loud and the iPad doesn’t even have it on Facebook and it’s on iOS 14 actually iOS 15 now because iOS 15 is out in developer beta form and there’s still no dark mode for Shazam but there is an iOS 15 beta for Facebook WTS same with iOS 12 for Facebook how does that work can you please add 1 plz

Very Impressed. Amazed, really.. I've spent my lockdown time ripping my cd collection to FLAC, and I came across one of my electronic mix cd's from around 2002. No song listing, no CD-Text, not even a label. I spent about an hour looking through my computer files to see if I had any notes or playlists or cd-burning files that would help me identify the unfamiliar music on the disc. I tried listening to it to see if I could figure out the songs, but no luck at all. I was thinking there was no way Shazam would be even remotely helpful for this kind of stuff. I was dead wrong. Shazam nailed every single song, even the remixes. It identified one song as "The Sheriff" by Fila Brazilla, but the times didn't match up when I double checked AllMusic. My version was longer than the listed time. I did a little more research to see if there was a longer version. When there wasn't, I decided to check to see if that song ripped with extra silence at the head or tail in error on my CD. Sure enough, Shazam was right, and my disc was wrong: 30 seconds of silence at the end of the track. I am seriously stunned at what a great job Shazam did with such an eclectic disc of music. I knew it was good at the popular stuff, but most of these songs didn't have lyrics (and in some cases, melodies.) Anyway, highly recommended and highly grateful.

Not dependable. This app only needs to do one thing: tell me what the name of the present song is. It’s not that difficult. Songs don’t last forever, and by the time you realize you like the song, you probably only have a few moments to capture the song with an app, as you juggle with driving your car and getting away from any background noise. Yet, this app cannot the only thing it needs to do. It struggles to load every time, before eventually the button doesn’t respond at all to the touch. If you think updating the app might make it work, you’d be wrong. Admittedly, this might not normally merit the time to draft a negative review, but there’s nothing quite so annoying as having precious few seconds to capture a song and then having your dedicated app fail at its only job. If anyone from the Shazam bureaucracy is reading this, please make whatever simplifications are necessary to this app to make it work.

Automatic adding Shazam tracks is broken, no signifier or option resync new tracks. There's not way to compare and no signifier like a checkmark to indicate the identified song was added to Apple Music My Shazam Track. Manually add the selection doesn't put in the order the song was identified in the playlist. There's not resync option when Shazam compared and updates the order and adds the songs in the order they're identified. I want to spend hours manually resorting the songs to the id'ed order I have in Shazam. Also the visually comparing my Shazam music to Apple Playlist is in reverse order in Shazam where as my Apple Music playlist is in the order they're added to the playlist. The whole music experience is frustrating to me. Why can't I options to fix things myself and indicators that it was synced up to my Apple Music playlist. I had several songs I liked not appear in my Apple Music playlist. I know the song is in Apple Music because it has the Apple Music black pill shape icon on the song. Till this day I still don't know if my identified song in My Shazam Track in Apple Music is missing some of the tracks. It's a total mindfudge if you ask me.

I love your Shazam App, but there's one minor gripe I've with it!. While I love getting '80s & some of the current downloaded songs that comes on from my alarm clock radio everyday when I get up 1st thing in the morning, but after an few and/or several weeks later on down the road, the songs are COMPLETELY different compared than to ones they once when I had 1st Shazammed it afterwards….!! I'm quite disappointed how your Shazam App DOESN'T even retained the original songs, music, and/or lyrics properly after few to several weeks later on down the road long after Shazammed it onto your Shazam App…!! I wanna keep your Shazam App on both of my iPhone & iPad, but if isn't neither fixed up properly and/or dealt within the near future by retaining all of the OG songs, musics and/or lyrics , I'm delete both of my Shazam App on both of my iPhone and iPad and I REALLY don't wanna go there when push comes to shove at that time….!!

What Have You DONE?!?. This was my favorite app. I loved it. The only ‘improvement’ it needed was to recognize more songs. It did not need changing! I checked over the new look & it starts playing even though I hit Not Now. I am not usually in a place where sound can just start up!! On top of that I cannot find a way to delete anything in this ‘playlist’ that I did not want. Sometimes I Shazam things for reasons other than I like it. Like on a bet. Or to see who is really that bad & annoying. (Not eating there again). I cannot find a way to delete these hideous sounds & artists. Is there a way I can go back to an older version? I will change back to 5 stars if I can get rid of this. I am NOT interested in Apple Music at all. I guess this is to make me subscribe. Not happening. Especially now.

Well Earned 5 Star!!. Okay, so-I happen to decide to see what songs this app recognizes by playing random songs on my TV and seeing which ones it happens to guess! First, I tried Mario Kart Menu Theme, which it guessed, then I tried Broly Vs Gogeta (Epic song, btw), which it guessed, Rip & Tear, BFG Division, Blue Sizzle, you get the point! Well, I was thinking....No way it’ll guess Learn 2 Fly’s techno theme, right!? Riiiight! Well!!! That blew up in my face because it guessed it!! At first I was skeptical, thinking, “No way this is actually it! It must be confusing it for another song, right!?” NOPE!! It actually put a name to a song I had been wishing for the possibility to have on my playlist and I found it ON ITUNES and bought it!! Not the second that happened, I *SCRAMBLED* to the app store to give this app a 5 Star review!! You legends basically just reunited my child gaming spirit with its gaming music SOULMATE!!! I cannot thank you guys enough for making an app that can actually put names to songs that nobody else seems to know the proper names of! Seriously! You guys are awesome!!! Im gonna continue to use this app so I can expand my playlist from now on! You guys have a *SPARKING* day!!! Sincerely & With Thanks, 5aiy4n-G0d

Great!!! But….. Every few months, I have to delete the app and reinstall it. There is no hint that it is going to stop working, and the app will “pretend” that it’s going to work. I’ll tap the Shazam icon and my phone will “jitter“ as if it is listening to the song, but the app keeps stopping and shutting off. What’s REALLY annoying is that when it suddenly stops working, I also have to pause whatever I’m watching on TV, or rewind it, as I try to catch the song. Obviously, it’s more annoying to other people with me who are watching whatever I’m watching, but otherwise, I do love the app and the fact that I can sync it up with all of my other Apple Music. However, I recently learned that if I’m not always subscribed to Apple Music, all of my playlists from Shazam / Apple music synch up will disappear. That’s not Shazam‘s fault, though; it’s an Apple thing. So what I’ve started doing more is buying a song if I really like it after Shazam has identified it.

Control Center support is not great. First off, know that Shazam delivers the best song recognition you can ask for, hands down. My issue with the app for the last few months is that support for their iOS control center integration is not great, specifically the saving of the song you just got info on. It will listen, it will send you a push notification with the song info, and if you click on that notification it will bring up the app with the info BUT it will not save that information to your saved Shazams. So if you don’t immediately search up the info and glance away from the app until your phone goes to sleep, the information is gone. Tl;Dr: The iOS Control Center Shazam tool doesn’t save the information it collects in the app, so if you use you’ll lose all the songs you tried to collect.

Pretty Good for Lyrical Songs, but…. I love using Shazam when I’m out in public and hear a good song I wanna add to my playlists. My one issue with the app I’ve experienced so far is that it isn’t too good at recognizing songs without lyrics. Most songs in genres like dubstep or classical struggle to get any result at all, or end up with a result that is incorrect. At least with songs that have lyrics, I have a chance to look them up myself to find results if the app can’t. Unfortunately, songs without lyrics are near impossible to find unless it is one you might already know. I hope in a future update, more non-lyrical songs can be added to the database to help Shazam those songs. To end on a positive note, I appreciate the app’s ability to find songs in languages other than English! It helped me find a song I was looking for after years of failed searching myself! Thank you! :)

I’d be so lost without this app. Ever hate when you hear a song out in public but you don’t know what the title is/who is singing it? Then you find it after spending spend hours searching for it through all the songs that have the same or similar lyrics? Yeah let’s just say this song helps cut that process down to mere a minute on average. As a note, sometimes (very rarely/really depends on your device) it may take closer to two minutes or may need you to activate it a couple times but most of the time once you activate it the first time you will find the song you’re hearing (granted if it is loud enough, but it can pick it up fairly well even if it’s barely in the background). So in conclusion, I would recommend this app 100% for any music lovers, and/or for those who find themselves in a similar position as mentioned above. It has saved me a lot of time/headache trying to remember lyrics and find a song. Just one press of the button and you could have your favorite song saved/recognized

Classical and Modern Serious Music.. I absolutely love Shazam. I also love all types of music but especially classical music and especially of the modern genre. I play keyboards and was brought up playing an antique Harmonium (a pedal reed organ) and in a short time became accomplished enough to be the Assistant Organist for a large Presbyterian Church in the Twin City suburb town of Hastings MN. We had a small seven rank but very powerful Pipe Organ which was absolutely a GAS to play full organ even tho I had to sort of wing it on the full 32 note pedal keyboard. Now getting back to my review of Shazam. I think your App comes up short in identifying classical musical tracks and albums. Most serious music lovers prefer to know the Composer first before they know who are the Artists or Artist. I do wish Shazam would provide much more Info on the Classical Music tracks (PLEASE) but thanx a whole lot for what you do do.

Shazam Is Simply the Best App Ever Created!. My favorite app of all time. Hands down, no question. Both the function and the accuracy make it my favorite and most used app. I’m not sure what year Shazam was introduced but I know I had it early on was simply blown away that this technology now existed. Seriously, to me- a huge music fan- it was like going to the moon. I’m old - 47- so before the power of Google (let alone Shazam) I might hear a song in a movie or on the radio and not know what it was for weeks or months….or maybe never. And I get it FREE. I recall getting a message that because I was one of the early users I would get it free for life but they were now going to apply a minimum fee for new users. I think that is literally the coolest thing in the world and unheard of today. I’m very grateful. Shazam is the best app of all time. If you’re reading this review trying to decide if you should get it….stop reading and download it now.

I Love Shazam!. I’ve had this app for a while now and it’s never failed me. As a senior citizen whose memory isn’t what it was years ago, I’m constantly checking out old favorites from the rock n roll era, but I like the new stuff too, so Shazam is really helping out in that category in which I’m not so familiar. For grins, I just checked out a Broadway show song, and Shazam nailed it almost instantly! Granted it was a well known song, but it was from a Broadway show, and Shazam even tells you the actor from the show singing it. While writing this review, I thought I’d Shazam on a different category. I played a song from the mid 70’s by a Christian singer who’s known within that category, but not outside of it, and Shazam identified it in about 5 seconds. For a guy like me, and anyone trying to figure out what they’re listening to, Shazam is THE APP!

Money Well Spent. I don’t usually pay for iOS apps if there’s a free subscriber tier. I just download them, use them for free and suffer the ads… I’m into music and musicians in a big way. I play and make guitars, have played in bands on and off for decades, etc... I’ve been surrounded by and involved on some level with music of all kinds from my earliest memories as a child. My wife and I also watch a LOT of shows on streaming TV. I’m 67 and retired so I’ve got the time and there’s plenty to watch. When I hear songs in the soundtracks, I often get “triggered”; who is that? who does that? who did it first? where have I heard that song before?… You get the idea. I bought this app. I didn’t even think twice about it. “Sold, American!” (Well, don’t quote me on the provenance of the developers. Doesn’t matter, does it?) This app touches my soul. This app eases my troubled mind when I’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious about “Who does that song?” This app is well worth the dime!

AWFUL at ID'ing Classical or Instrumental. Really solid performance if you want Shazam to tell you a name of a song that everyone knows, that plays on the radio non-stop, and that repeats its title in the lyrics. You know what? Lyrics are easy. If you hear 4 words or more from a song and type them into google, you can usually always find the song. Where Shazam really has a chance to be helpful and fill a need is with INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC, and if FAILS. Miserably. Even with a clear, noiseless environment where no one is talking and the audio can be clearly heard. I cannot tell you how often I've tried to Shazam something, even a song with words but recorded with Shazam during a solo or drum break, and Shazam comes up empty. Thanks, so helpful. I have nothing to go off of if there are no words, I can't exactly hum a tune into a search bar, and if I tried humming a tune into Shazam it would have an even harder time than just listening to the original track.

Could Be Better. It IS very useful in finding out the track name, artist, album of a great many songs. It DOES have a few flaws. One flaw is that it occasionally gets a song completely wrong, or associates it with another artist, but that is probably less that 1 % of the time. Another quirk which I don't like is that it frequently defaults to a newer CD compilation album release for a song when what I really wanted was the original album and it's song listings. One thing I like about it is its ability to display an album title exactly how you need to label it in iTunes in order for iTunes to be able to find the album artwork. If your title is just one character off from Shazam, iTunes won't find the artwork and you have to enter it manually. Fix the glitches I described, and it's a five-star app in my book.

great but just a few changes would be 👌. Sometimes there is no result after shazaming I get it and it’s understandable but it would better if that was updated also with the background noise it makes things glitch a bit for me. It would also be good if it gave results if a song was playing on the same device. But the app is quite fun not always needed but definitely good to have there. Out of 5 stars it’s ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2

Very reliable. I remember when I used to use Snapchat’s Shazam for a bit and it always helped me find songs I heard a beat to on the radio or at a party, until they got rid of it. Now that I have the app, it works brilliantly. Instantly identified a tune for me within seconds. Definitely recommend! 😁 (Ps: The song it helped me find was “I’ll Get There” - by Align. I heard it while watching the newest season of Lucifer)

Internet problems?. To who it may concern, I used to love Shazam, a lot. Even though it may work perfectly on my iPhone 7 it no longer works perfectly on my iPad. In fact, it no longer works at all on my iPad. Every time I try to Shazam a song on my iPad it takes forever and then it finally comes up with a message saying that they’ll notify me when I’m back online. After the first few times I thought there was something wrong with my internet even though google was still working for me, but then I decided to put it to the test. I tried to Shazam a song on my iPhone and my iPad at the same time, it worked on my iPhone and did the same thing that it had been doing to me on my iPad. I’ve deleted the app and downloaded it again too many times to count. How do I fix this? Is anyone else having the same problem?

Awesome app. Absolutely love it so much, I use it almost every day and because I’m hard at hearing it catches songs that I can’t hear very well sometimes. Only problem is it doesn’t always catch some songs that I can hear and it sometimes doesn’t catch live performed songs but other than those two things it is the perfect app, I don’t have to search and search the internet for that song using only a few lyrics I remember

My go to App!. You’re my go to app and so under rated! That one song I hear that brings back a memory that I’m listening to and can’t remember who the artist is? Or it’s playing and I want to remember that song - I just hit that button and there you are - never an issue, always there to help capture my ‘go to playlists songs’ when I need them!

Great, absolutely great. I think it’s a great idea and executed almost perfectly andi know that there are countless updates they have planned still, but atm there is one slight problem I have noticed, although not a big problem at all, the app occasionally gets songs wrong and not knowing the name for the song you’re wanting to find and believing it’s the song they show you can be a little bit annoying. However this could be classified as knit picking, it would be nice to fix this, thanks

Shazam. Is an amazing app for when you’re just sitting in the car and then a nice song comes on and you really want to know what it is to add it to a playlist seat on always listen to it and it always comes up with the right songs and Singer and even lets you play the song while you’re in the car and it does not need Wi-Fi and I think it’s an amazing app and everyone should download it

Too easy…. So, I’m having a moment in Bunnings and this song was playing… I grabbed my iPhone, opened Shazam and pressed that magic button… I can’t say how fast but in a few seconds, I had access to that song, including the official video clip! I’m pretty good with pop music but as a child of the 60’s, my taste in music is kinda stuck back to the sweet, sweet music of the 60’s - 80’s. Some artists have caught my ears and eyes over the recent years and thanks to Shazam, I have access to such artists and a library of them. Robb E 💜🇦🇺🦘👍🏼

Great! Performs as it’s expected to!. Does exactly as I expect it to & does so reliably. Would like to someday have the option to Shazam a song I was just listening to after the songs finished? Say what the song was just playing within the last 1-2 minutes, for when I only catch last part of a song , or when song ends before I can find, unlock ph & then Shazam it or when I dont get to Shazam it in time & a song finishes just as I’m Shazaming it.

Had Shazam for about 6/7 years. One of my favourite most used most shared most loved apps by a long shot. I have shown mates of 60 years young and they take to it like ducks to water. Used at least once every time I am listening to music and in shopping centres watching movies so versatile rapid and rarely incorrect.❤️💙🌈 Music makes my world go around with the ups and downs. Shazam me anytime🫶✌️🤘

Apple Music syncing is always broken. Every time Shazam release an update they break the auto syncing function and Shazamed songs are no longer added to the “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music. I’ve tried using the Encore app, the standard app, disconnecting and reconnecting Apple Music, logging out and logging back in, and deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing works. Songs have to be manually added. Very frustrating, that was my main use case for Shazam. It’s a great app and it’s even better on an Apple Watch, but I want to listen to music in Apple Music, not the Shazam app. Also, why the heck are the saved “My Shazam” tracks separate in Shazam and Shazam encore? Obviously Shazam encore has been depreciated but if I try and use the standard Shazam app instead I lose my entire Shazam history? Just a poorly thought out and poorly developed system all around.

Great app, could be better. I’ve seen plenty of overwhelmingly positive reviews for Shazam and after using it for only a short period of time I can see how useful the app can be. On multiple occasions a random catchy song has come on the radio that I want to add to my playlist, and Shazam is there to help. Even when the song is really quiet, Shazam can still pick it up. I could barely hear a song playing once and yet Shazam knew exactly which song it was. I would definitely recommend to others, especially since it’s free. My one problem with Shazam is that a lot of the time I’ll hear a song come on that I love and before I can grab my phone to Shazam it, it’s gone. So now what do I do. Shazam has forced me to get another app as well because I can’t find a song by humming or singing it since Shazam needs to hear the actual song playing. This is a shame since I’m really liking the app. If the developers could perhaps add a feature that allows me to hum or sing a song and have it found by Shazam, that would be awesome. Even Google now has this feature, and from such a great app like Shazam I kind of expect the same. Overall a very useful app, and if this change happens I will absolutely edit my review to five stars. Developers, I’m counting on you.

Keeps getting better. I have to say, some of the newer features of Shazam are worth writing a review for. I’ve been using it since it’s release, but the lyrics feature is just one of the many things I’ve been loving in its latter iterations. Also, my Shazam playlist on Apple is my fave for running. Also, the UX that supports the Shazam search and play process is so smooth these days. Frankly, Shazam is one of those things I would just love to tell my 15 year old self all about, and be 100% sure I would just stare back in wonder.

Yeah yeah…a brain and a half!!!. Now that I am old and my brain has stopped working….I can not remember!!…what was the name of that song??….who by is singing??….just when you thought I can not remember!!… a savior has arrived…Oh Shazam!!..just when I thought that I was completely useless….Shazam has saved the day!!! Don’t you just love the technology!!…bee jeez I would love to meet mr Shazam….what a great memory he has!!!

I love this app BUT…. Shazam, I love that I can save my favourite songs off the radio and where ever I hear an awesome tune BUT… Don’t make it so hard for me every time I want to access my library to only show the first 10 songs, and then make me have to re-navigate to list all my liked songs again. This app needs to be synced to the list of songs that I have liked or chosen straight away. I don’t mind your suggestions, but please don’t make it that I have to constantly be trying to list the songs that I have chosen to like - as a list. Thankyou!

ShazamMusic. it is the best way to connect with music and able to share it with friends.. this is why I love music so much and you can enjoy all the different types of genres that relates to music.. LOVE MY MUSIC it means the world and my playlist is only getting even longer because of this app it’s genius thankyou!! and also to party along with family and friends!!

Hit and Miss. When I first got this app it was relatively basic which was fine, as it had the ability to listen and advise me of what the song title was 90% of the time. Unfortunately it did take a while to load then and crashed often while loading. Now it loads fast, has lots of additional features and can rarely tell me the song titles that I’m trying to locate anymore. Clearly I’m not after common hits, who needs an app for that?! So for the past year (roughly)I’ve hardly bothered, coz when I’ve really been stuck and needed it, it didn’t deliver!

Something isn't working. In the past this has been an amazing tool to use & has helped thousands of times. Not needed to use it for a while. Now when wanting to use it, it can't pick up anything or tells me it can't recognise anything. Have deleted & reinstalled the app & same problems. Hope someone could give me some information as to what may be happening.

Was great, apple 5ucked it.. I’ve been using Shazam for coming up to ten years and it was always my favourite and close to my most used app. Since Apple bought it, it’s become worse and worse. The premium version (which I paid for) was killed off and now everybody has to use the same lame ad supported and Apple centric app. Listening options no longer support the best streaming services and many other useful features from the original app have also been killed off.

Free and wonderful. I love that it’s free of charge and no endless ads. When I can afford it, I’ll upgrade to whatever they are offering, but I find this, just as it is, interesting, informative, and always helpful in naming the music I want. It’s perfect. I hope it never changes. Thanks Shazam. Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with anything. My sons/cousins/dads don’t own it didn’t invent this App. I earn nothing from good reviews. I’m just paying forward in the Universe by writing what I think that may interest others.

It wants to do everything. It’s a great app for searching songs but I guess now it wants to overtake all your iPhone apps and wants to connect to any available Bluetooth playback device. It has a great lag when you want to open a song in something else other than an apple related web site, then again, I guess apple own it and that’s to be expected. In today’s world of many apps and easily available technology I think they need to realise there are many other options out there now, it’s called competition!

Disappointed. I love Shazam but for some unknown reason it no longer works on my iPad, fantastic with my iPhone.. I haven’t been able to receive songs since 2019. Recently I deleted the app and downloaded it again on the iPad thinking it would help, but I lost all my songs and it still won’t work.. I would be so grateful for an answer as I would prefer to use it with my iPad.. Thankyou. Now to add because I can’t do a new review. It still doesn’t work with my iPad. I really would like and explanation why. But I guess you just don’t have time to solve this issue which others have. So I guess I’ll just keep adding to this message until I get a reason.

Good app! But I have a big suggestion!. This app is really good, but think of it as this. Your in the car, you don’t have Shazam on your phone, but you heard this really good song on the radio. If you could add a feature where you can Shazam recorded videos, you could just record the song then when you get home and download it, you can just Shazam the video. I would also love this feature because sometimes when your scrolling through Instagram or tiktok you come across a song, so if we could just screen record and then Shazam the video it would be was easier then using 2 devices! Hope you think about this suggestion! :D

EXTREMELY GOOD. First of all, it’s amazing because it identifies the song very quickly and when you’re offline, for example, in the car listening to the radio and there’s a song on there you like, it takes a bit more time, but you can make an “offline” Shazam where it gives you a notification of the song when you’re online. Next, there’s a search button where you can write artists, songs and lyrics and it comes up with the song! It’s completely free!!!

Very handy app. Works well ... Gone are the days of searching record stores for months looking for a song you've heard a few times and really want to buy it. But you don't know the title, so you sing a few words to the lucky person behind the counter hoping someone will know it, and then when someone eventually recognises it , you don't believe them until they play it because the name's something really obscure... Gee those days were fun , this app has killed all that and now life is a little easier , not as fun but when you hear a song just open the app and press the circle and voila

Best app ever!. Every time that I use it. It brings back memories form the eighties childhood, when you dreamed about the future and thought how cool if you could have something like this that can tell you which song is playing. Rather than try to catch the name of the song in radio program. Tell you kids... it was a hard job pick. Sometimes you had to wait for days until you hear it back again. Cheers

Great in concept. This app used to work great, I loved using it. Fair to say it changed my relationship with music, and became my default tool for deciding my Triple J hottest 100 votes (most shazzams for a song gets my top vote). Unfortunately it’s now supper buggy and unreliable for some reason. I think they changed the way it works? If you didn’t have cell coverage it used to just store a sample for when you get back in range. Now it panics and crashes, or freezes and won’t work, like, 50% of the time. It’s it because it’s so busy downloading ads that there’s no processor left for the actual purpose of the app? I don’t understand how a great app which used to work really well can get *less* reliable. Please Shazam sort your selves out, I love your app but it’s unusable like this

Not Impressed. There’s more to life than just Money - Shazam you keep coming up with annoying ways to try and get its users to buy Songs. We now have another with the latest Update - a stupid notification taking up a good part of the screen trying to get us to go to Apple Music. I’d rather be able to see the info on the screen about the Songs. A Music type App that failed to realise that music lovers don’t need to be pushed to buy music and I wasn’t a real Fan of you getting the Video to auto play after every Shazam & waste my Mobile Dara. Think about it Shazam...

Works surprisingly. When I downloaded this app I expected to delete 3 minutes after. But I am still using it and it works really well and best of all it’s completely free, no hidden fees, no ad every 7 seconds. Even works with my Apple Watch and have had no problems with it. The only thing I think could be improved is a way to organise the songs the app finds, like put them in genre or folders so there not all cluttered into one section.

Thank YOU Shazams. Hi my name is mARTIna and I have only few App on my phone. YOU know ... the essential one that help YOU to organise the NEEDS . And Shazams allowed me, in the past 3 years to learn so much about a song, I could easily found it again because Shazams with only one click could tell me exactly the creator of the song and the title so it was possible to find it again on the net . and connect closer to the song the person I was sharing that song with ... etcetera .... 🌻

I cannot fault it.. I love my music, and if I hear a song I will sing along. I will know the words and it can come from an obscure memory of a party my parents had when I was little. But I don’t know the artist or the name of the song. I am yet to stump Shazam. From getting the name of the artist, I can now follow their musical journey. It can lead me in very different and fulfilling directions and has expanded my knowledge and love of popular music.

Shazam review. This is an amazing app, I use it almost every time in the car. I haven’t had any problems with it apart from the fact that when I don’t have any wifi or data I have to wait until I get to somewhere with wifi. I scroll through the long list of music when I need to find a nice song to listen to a lot as well. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone.

Doesn’t pick up music!. Great app but lately or most of the time it hasn’t picked up any of the music I’ve tried listening to as it always comes back saying “No result We didn’t catch that try again” after I’ve pressed the button to listen! It still does it even though I’ve got the music up loud or I’m in a cinema where they have the speakers up really loud and yet most of the time it still comes up with the same message all the time even though the rings on the listening section are big but still doesn’t pick up the music no matter how loud the music is playing! It’s been doing this for a long time now but sometimes it works and finds the songs but other times it doesn’t! I like the app but just wished it would work 100% of the time as it’s meant to work!

One fix pls and it’s perfect. Love Shazam, they are able to detect nearly every song I Shazam when hearing a track I like. Except one thing. They’ve recently added the ability to quickly Shazam via shortcuts which works like normal and then saves the song in your notifications… but doesn’t save the song instantly on the app, you have to do that manually. So if you’re on the run and Shazam a song and later clear your notifications, the song is gone as well. Pls update so it’s automatically saved onto library. Also take a shot for everytime I say Shazam

20 seconds. Picture this: I’m late to work. Don’t have enough time to set my phone up for music on the drive, so I settle for FM radio. To my surprise, I’m really liking the song I’m listening to, but I’m already in the parking lot. I download Shazam, 15 seconds. I open the app - pleasantly surprised that there is no signup page or anything else that requires brainpower. “Tap to Shazam”. Five seconds later, “Making it out Alive - The Vanns”. I’m on my way inside, and clock in on time. Thanks! 🫡

This is my favorite app of all times. Friend of mine suggested Shazam while ago and now it’s part of my life, can’t even imagine it without Shazam. This app helped me in so many situations where I had just a few seconds of finding tracks name and artist. So helpful, flawless, perfect app. I seriously love it. Thank you creators, you made my life easier, long gone days when I had to search for the tracks online trough radio stations where I heard them etc. If I could give 10 stars I would, but I can only give 5. Recently I watched movie Shazam - this is exactly how the app feels for me - a superhero. ;)

Heaps better than Tinder ey. Best app of all time. Never to be surpassed. The agony of not having a track list or back announce for a track that moves you is is strong enough to mess ya up for a good 15 -17 minutes or so. Cheers to the people who were moved by a PashtoPop track and had Buckley’s getting the title. DNB 4 Life as well as ALL music. Two things I’ll miss on this earth outside of social connections. Nature and making music. Much love

Love it!!. Before Discovering Shazam I always used to get so worked up in my head about the song I heard somewhere. It’s a game changer. Been using it for 3 years and I’m amazed at how many songs i found through this app totally love it .. Note : if you’re using Apple Music don’t sync it with Shazam bc all of ur current added music will be replaced with all of the songs you’ve found through here hahaha , now I have songs a looked for 2 years ago as my ‘ Recently added ‘ and I’m not even interested in that song anymore 😂ughhh I regret it.. hopefully it helps someone

Clever. I was in a cocktail bar on a cruise ship where there was lots of laughter, clinking of glasses, talking etc and I could hear this good music coming from the overhead speakers above the din. I knew I wasn’t able to Shazam the music because I didn’t have Internet so I held my phone up as far as I could towards the speakers and recorded it on voicemail on my phone. I came home after the cruise had finished, and used my husband’s Shazam on my recording and it picked up the song amongst all the laughter and the clatter - I couldn’t believe it - very clever - and I got my song. Happy me!!

Pretty good but one suggestion!. Wish it would allow you to upload segments from a recorded video! My heart breaks having to shazam a song on the spot that I hear, and in case it doesn’t catch it, the song passes and then I’ve missed the opportunity to shazam it more 😭 would love the option to upload a recorded video so we can record clips of songs and then be able to shazam them all the next day (rather than just in the moment!) Other than that, love the app so much xx

It’s an awesome app but... I’ve used Shazam for years but it has been the first time that the app has stuffed up. I shazamed a couple of songs last night. Today I wanted to put them on my playlist. I went on to Shazam and tried to swipe where I shazamed my songs and all of a sudden the app freezes. It won’t allow me to see any of the songs. Everything else works but that. I have tried deleting the app and getting it back, I have also tried turning my phone off and on again. That doesn’t work either. Please fix this.

Concept. Shazam could publish playlists comprising the ten most or twenty most similar songs/tracks to the one for which the user was searching. On the presumption that the algorithm operates reductively by analogy, it should be possible to identify the five most, ten most, fifty most similar songs, etc. This would be a popular addition to your service, and I hope you find the suggestion useful. Robot! Peace out.

iCloud Synch a Dismal Failure. As a long time Shazam Encore user I shattered to find that Apple’s shiny new advertisement-free Shazam app did not synchronise my music from Encore despite having iCloud Sync enabled in both apps. I’ll continue to use the grandfathered Encore app as long as it still works. It seems when the tech giants acquire innovative smaller companies, they cannot sustain the quality of their products. The list of now useless software that was once market leading is endless.

Miss Sammy W reckons. This app is the front and centre of my home page. This app makes me believe I really could be a Dj because of the convenience of having the great songs right there and then in my playlist forever. The creator of this app deserves whatever highest award he or she may qualify for. You are my hero Shazam creator. You have changed my life for the better and I cannot express my appreciation in words. Well this is my attempt anyway. Much love, one of the many number 1 fans. Peace

What would you do without this app?. I have discovered countless amounts of songs with the use of Shazam and it’d be so annoying if this app didn’t exist. It has enabled me to expand my selection of music, thus enhancing my playlists. Whenever a catchy song plays on the radio and I don’t know the name of it, Shazam is always the first thing that comes to my head when I need to discover the song. It is able to pick up almost every song correctly, even ones that aren’t that common. I also enjoy the fact that when you tap the lyrics button, each line will appear in tandem with the line sung in the actual song. This further accentuates the smart level of technology contained within Shazam.

Amazing & perfect app. I am in love with this app. So quick to find random songs playing around you and you would love to add to your playlist. Very user friendly and can be synced with your Apple Music playlist. 5 star to this app and definitely recommend it to everyone who are music lovers can’t resist to Shazam when they really want to find the song name.

BRILLIANT. I installed this to test the claims. First on the radio next to my mac, easy. Next watching tv, liked a movie soundtrack as the credits rolled, clicked the app, nailed it, confirmed by the credits, (and I never left the couch) ... the last time, sitting on the balcony of a restaurant overlooking the sea, 4 of us all talking etc, I heard the background music, clicked the app, just holding the phone, no jamming up against speakers ... nailed it again. So, in a word, BRILLIANT! Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Every day use. I use Shazam very single day, it’s that good. Don’t know the name of a song and can’t get it out of your head? All you have to do is Shazam it... hear a good song on the radio & you like it? All you have to do is Shazam it and add it to your playlist. Shazam can do it all for your Apple Music playlists. Shazam really is the way to go for finding out music when you don’t know it’s name or title! Go Shazam it!!!!

Great app. This app is almost perfect everytime, sure, there are occasions where it can’t really pick up what’s playing, but thats more because of too much noise drowning out the music (which needs to be alot to stop it to work), or the clip is too short. To summarise, this is the best readily available app for music identification. From my tests, its more than likely to find what you’re looking for, even if the tracks are suuuuuper indie.

For old timers. Shazam is great for borderline “I can’t remember anything” patients Once you read the song You remember everyone you ever danced with to that song

Can no longer automatically add songs to Spotify. What happened to the app? I used to be able to add my Shazammed songs to a Spotify playlist, now my only option is Apple Music which I do not want or have.

Appli la plus intelligente. Une appli complet et convivial au max

Deleting app for alternative. Apples greedy little fingers ruining another thing as per usual App doesnt work at all. Doest recognize a bonnie raitt song??? Bonnie raitt… It kills me that this is a fact, its been the only consistent app that has worked amazingly on all my iphones since the 3g. What is that 15 years? And now? A literal piece of trash that is taking up space on my phone because it has no function. You’re not going to force me to get apple music its not good and you know that which is why you’re pulling moves like this Bye byeee sound hound it is. Go sound hound! You actually do what you say you’ll do!! Id give sound hound 5 stars Smell ya later

Not good. Accuracy and ability to listen to song non-existent. Cannot find song in crowded areas anymore, if it does find a song it’s the wrong song.

Music won’t add with control. Music won’t add with music control button on control panel. I have to actually do it manually in the app which defeats the convenience feature

sucks. cant even shazam a great opera

My Crazy ex Wife :). So, buckle up for a story kids, this one’s a longie. So, I was watching tiktok and then I remembered this oldie song called Fake ID- I mean I didn’t know what the name was, but I was just like wth is that song? And so I was looking for music detectors. My wife (ex now) told me the song was called Real ID- but it was FAKE ID! I looked up this app cause that didn’t sound right and then I sung it and I WAS RIGHT!! IT WAS FAKE ID NOT REAL ID! I was SO F***king MAD!!! I made a divorce right now, and thankfully like a stork from heaven, my wife was heartbroken and left, but yet SHE WAS WRONG! I don’t need a WRONG wife! I need a WISE wife! UgH! Anyways bye bye ex wife, I’m so OVEr you. 😈

Doesn’t work. Push the button and nothing happens. Tap the button and nothing happens. This app used to. E so good. What happened.

I HATE IT!!!!. SHAZAM DON’T EVEN RECOGNIZE 3/4 SONGS I AM TRYING TO FIND >:( THIS APP IS NOT DIVERSE IT NEED TO FIND MORE SONG. YOU ARE MID 1/5 IF I COULD I WOULD PUTT 0 GOODBYE

Le déclin. De plus en plus c’est de moins en moins intéressant d’utiliser Shazam.

Control Center problem. Doesn’t add songs to the app if you Shazam from the control center. Unfortunately I didn’t realize this for a very long time so I’ve lost basically all of the songs I’ve discovered from the last 6 months. Please fix and will change to 5 stars.

Stopped working for me after years of good use!. Keeps saying no results on popular songs. Also showing the wrong songs when it finally gives one. :(

Une bonne application. Très bien comme app j adore 👌

Review. Very good

Shazam just sucks now. I’ve tried to find 12 songs with the auto shazam method and none of them worked i even played the songs for a solid 25 seconds each.. i had to maually search the lyrics by ear to find em🤷‍♀️ probably going to delete the app

Recent songs Shazammed. Does not tell you the recent songs when back online like it says it will

Wow!. Super!

Better luck remember lyrics. It maybe finds 1/3 of the music I ask it to. I have better luck just remember lyrics and googling them to find song titles. For how long it’s been around I thought it’d be more reliable. Would not recommend to a friend

Saviour. Stuck guessing a song on the radio that you just know who the singer is but can’t place it? Load up Shazam and within seconds you’ll have your answer.

Upgrade doesn't mean it's ad free. So I learned that if you pay for the premium version to get 'no ads' it really means you get fewer ads. And there's nothing that will be done to change it. Completely misleading and of no real benefit from the free version. The widget doesn’t connect to the main app. If I Shazam a song from the widget it doesn’t show up on Shazam’d songs within the app

Shazam doesn’t work with google music on iPhones.. Shazam no longer works with google music on iPhones. Screw you, Shazam. What a load of garbage. Deleting.

Since Apple bought. Since the sale to Apple, it seems as if the app doesn’t find or recognize most music unless it’s a part of Apple Music. Very sad

Used to Be Good. For a long time this app used to be good at finding songs from most genres, even obscure stuff and electronic dance music. Now for some reason it has trouble finding or misidentifies many things unless it’s a very popular, top 40 song. It’s become literally worthless as a song identifying app in the genres I listen to. Might have some thing to do with the sale to Apple. Shame.

Not so good. Because when I first open the iPhone like for quick listen, it does not save, or say it anywhere

Fabulously Amazing!. Throughout all of my Shazam’s. They are all correct and this app is perfect for finding the name of that perfect song. Great app!

Feedback. Shazam is great. But it would be nice to have a record of the songs that I shazammed!!!!!!

Sync with Spotify. My reason for buying app was the ability to sync with Spotify. It doesn’t work so don’t but it if this is what your looking for.

Please add. Please add SoundCloud as an option to open it

Frustrating. The amount of songs that this app can’t seem to get after listening for 30+ seconds is ridiculous. It’s faster to actually google the lyrics half the time.

Idk what to think. I mean the app is good but Every time I sing or play a song on my phone the song doesn’t show up it just says “can find the song your looking for” I can’t tell if it’s my fault but personally I think the app doesn’t work

Amazing. Well it’s amazing that’s all I need to say

So bad!. Tried to Shazam classical music. This thing can’t even recognize the song. If only zero stars was an option

Best App Ever!. Have you ever been someplace and heard a tune that is special to you but no way of asking anyone what it is? Boom this does it! Music is something that can perk up your soul when you need it. Especially during these difficult times.

Love the app.. Amazing response, quick and love the ability where it automatically adds the Shazam’s to either Apple Music library or Spotify.

shazam add to spotify playlist not working. Even after deleting and reconnecting to Spotify I am not able to add songs to a specific playlist; nor do they show up in my Shazam tracks

Poor. Linkage between Apple Music and play songs by sorting recently horrible

Poor since new owner. Music Recognition is now very poor. Experience is 1 out of 10. It used to be very good at identifying songs even obscure ones. Now it can’t even id recent songs..

Disappeared music. All of my saved Shazam music suddenly disappeared and there is no playlist.

Absolute trash. I’ve been using the apple control centre version and it hasn’t save a single song

Used to be good. Can’t find most of the punk bands on an old playlist. It used to be good, now just a shell of its former glory

Bad app. Shazam deleted all my Shazam’s…. Why?, for what reason?.

👻. Its better than any app

New Control Centre button doesn’t save songs. Love the quick add to the control centre.. but doesn’t save to the main app Shazam lost like auto Shazam would do. Because of this, the app doesn’t automatically add the song to my Music app anymore. Fix this please!!!

Shazam. Awesome

Shazam review. Shazam is really good when I don’t know what a song is. My only complaint would be that they are sometimes slow for guessing the song.

Can be useless. Some time’s is not helpful

Not perfect yet. From a person that used to text lyrics to a number in order to figure out the song title. Shazam has come a far way from that number I used to text. It can not only pick figure out song titles faster. It is also seamlessly integrated with iOS as well as Apple Music. It is integrated with Apple Maps as well creating a three powerhouse application team. The integration with Apple Maps is not perfect though. This is not updates needed on both Apple Maps and Shazam to make it perfectly seamless. The combination of these three applications working together is absolutely amazing. So not only do you have an application that can figure out a song in about a second. You will now have an application that will coordinate your digital musical life with your real life.

Great all around music application.. The icon on this application is extremely recognizable thanks to its popularity and promotion. It has a 4.9/5 stars on the APP store and it deserves it for its simplicity. Its descreption is simple and clear and does not get much more user friendly than this as you simply push a single button and the APP listens to the song and sends it back to you. Its target audience is defined as anyone who loves music. Its stand out characteristics and content is simply how easy it is to use and how effective it gets the job done. This APP is free for all users. It is innovative in the sense that once you start up the application, all you have to see is the opening page, which is one giant button, making navigation very easy.

My fave app?. I never write reviews, but shazam just popped up asking me for a rating at an INCREDIBLY rare time, when I was taking a true break and doing nothing but listening music. I had probably “Shazam’d” at least 4 songs in the last hour. Anyway, i felt it, like I’m my core, that I absolutely owe Shazam a glowing review. I downloaded this app soon after it was released. I have found it incredibly useful, entertaining, and not ever, even a tiny bit frustrating or annoying. It has always had a beautiful, user- friendly interface, and I’ve never noticed it needing fixe. It’s always been a must have, legit, top notch app sense it made its debut years (maybe even over a decade?) ago. Genius B idea and brilliant developers 👏

Great App. I’m one of those people who like figuring out what a song is called. My friend had this app, so I asked my mom for it. She said yes. I use this app frequently in the car if I want to “bookmark” a song. My favorite feature is the live lyrics. When you Shazam a song you can look at the lyrics. But not just the lyrics, the lyrics that are actually playing on the part of the song it was Shazam-ed at. I actually used this app while writing this. I also like the fact it gives you a preview of the music video. But I wish there was a button that you could watch the whole music video that synced with your music. Otherwise everything else is great. I recommend this app to all those like me who need to know what the name of!

Best on Market..but could easily be little better. When watching most Netflix K-Dramas, C-Drama, and J-Dramas, end if episode soundtracks are nearly always found by Shazam. However, some times it only pulls up an "Instrumental" (music without singing) version. Even when doing a manual search by title+artist name that finds the full song version, clicking on that only plays the instrumental version. That one shortcomming is so annoying...Please fix asap! Specific example: "Destiny" by Seo Gi. When autosearched from actual singing at end of Netflix ep6 of Netflix 'Destiny with You'...it only plays sample of Destiny(Instr)....go ahead verify it yourself. (I cannot really complain too much since it's a free phone app and generally beats other competitor apps I've tried.) Fix that one thing and I'll rate a full 5-stars.

Good but a little annoying when…. It’s very good when you play the actual recording but when you play it on piano or sing it or some other instrument, it completely fails to say the right song, or just doesn’t say any song at all. It also only gives you a very limited amount of time and you can’t play enough of it for it to recognize. If the company sees this, please try to make it so that you can manually turn the button off. (There might be a setting like this in settings but I didn’t see it). Please also try to solve that other problem about different instruments, I don’t know if it’s possible (it might also not work if you sing it in a different key but I’m not sure). But that aside it is a fun app and it’s good at what it does. thanks for making it Shazam!

Pretty Good. I love this app because when I like a song, I don’t have to memorize the lyrics and look them up, which doesn’t always give me the right song. I can just go on Shazam and tap the button and a few seconds later I know what song it is. Plus it saves all the songs you’ve Shazam-ed, so you don’t need to keep a list or whatever, you can just look back to that. The one problem I had was once I pressed the Shazam button, and a second later it said “Song Not Found. Try again.” But it kept showing that without even taking time to listen to the song. I had to restart the app for it to fix itself. Other than that though, this app is wonderful and has helped me find more music I like.

Really Good!. Nowadays there’s a bunch of apps that perform the same function as Shazam... but they’re the pioneers so I’ve remained with them without even thinking about using something else, and I’ve seen some of those others apps not finding a tune’s name while Shazam is already offering to you the option of playing it through ITunes ...isn’t that pure sweet love? I’ve even find out the name of songs that are been played live! (Of course only with high performance artist/or people using some sampling tracks a long their shows). I’m not a write-reviews-guy ... but for Shazam I decided to do it in gracefully recognition of major gift that is for a music lover to be able to identify new music everyday, anytime and anywhere for years now! 1000% recommended ! 🙏🏽❤️ Peace ya’ll!

Seriously though.... I don’t write reviews. I don’t care that much tbh. However this app is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Yeah I know it sounds sad. However, this app has brought me music I find just the last lyrics on. It’s fast and smooth and saves everything so I don’t have to remember it. This app has brought me music I would have never gone the extra mile to listen too. Bringing me to experiences I’ve never had. Even with no WiFi it saves what it’s hearing. It’s crazy. I was feeling down and I heard this song I used the app on a while back. I looked it up on this app and found something that is almost like personal therapy. I’ve recommended it to all my friends there’s just no beating something as convenient as this.

3.5 stars. The live music lyrics could be better. Like I don’t understand why it hears the lyrics and recognizes if it is an a wrong place and “catches up”, but really, it doesn’t recognize if it’s paused? Can’t even hear any music but it continues as if it does. Pointless feature. And I appreciate that it has lyrics, but some popular songs don’t. They should sync to more than one website for lyrics. The ads aren’t personalized either, and honestly I wish it was. I don’t mind a clothing ad geared towards my interests every now and then, but constantly seeing the same add for AHS Apocalypse while trying to look at lyrics for my worship songs... I keep covering it up with my hands as I read bc I don’t want those kind of frightening images in my head. Being personalized ads, even just variety would be nicer. Don’t want to see the same ad every time I Shazam a song. And auto Shazam doesn’t work that well either

I can’t live without my Shazam app!!. There haven’t been too many songs I couldn’t find with Shazam. I wouldn’t know what to do without it, it’s a great way too find the music you love to hear, when you don’t remember the name of the song or who sings it. I love it the most when I am watching a movie and a long lost song comes on and I can’t remember it, then I simply let Shazam find it for me!! Also, it’s a great way to explore new music when you hear something and want to know who it is and what song it is, all you have to do is put Shazam to work and you have it!! I couldn’t live without my Shazam app!! I love it and if you don’t have it, I suggest you go get your Shazam app, you won’t be sorry and it’s free!! I’ve never paid anything for mine!! It’s the best, hands down!

😁😍😃AMAZING 😃😍😁. Omg Shazam is AMAZING it works so fast and it even has the options to l’est en to the song in Apple Music and to read the lyrics and so much else! Honestly I would like to point out how hard this programming must have been. They work so hard! As for if you are thinking about getting it I recommend this to people of all ages really. There is really nothing to worry about for kids. And it is so helpful. At any time you can have it Listen to a song. I even did this when there were people talking over the music and it still worked. I recommend this app so much! It even works if ur playing songs on ur own and phone which is weird but helpful when using airplay sometimes. Very helpful. And approximate time and effort they have put into this app.

Fork to my Plate. I've been a user since 2009. If music holds any sway in your daily life, Shazam is the fork to your dinner plate. Growing a product from a true mvp to what it is today, over (?) years has to be hard. There's been versions of Shazam I've passionately hated. In hindsight, I could only hate it because was so helpful. Today, so many others use this app just like I do, to record and put name to the soundtrack of their life so they can bring that music back on demand whenever they want. For the last couple years this app has been soundly built. Its my go to for creating playlists and It's connected to my music library. Shazam is how I enhance my time with my family and friends, building the musical backdrop for the best times of my life.

Get this now!. Sometimes when I tap the Shazam button, even when I’m at my house, it says that I’m not connected to the internet. When I check the internet, it’s on. And, When I play a song, most times, it says there’s no result. But it’s still a great app, I would totally recommend it. It’s not the absolute best, but what I’m trying to get across, is that it’s amazing when you think about it. But everything isn’t perfect. There are some kinks, but don’t think twice to get this, get it now! It’s great. I bet you couldn’t name a thousand songs in a couple seconds. If you can, wow, I’m impressed. But this app, it possibly can. Remember, nothings perfect, Sincerely, Anonymous

NOT what it use to be. 👎🙁. Shazam use to be fast & easy after the updates now it takes for ever and it hardly ever finds songs on tv like on movies any more. Specially if not in English or recent songs. I run iPhone 6+ 128 GB so it's not because of space. I miss the sound waves it use to have. Had to try 7 times to find a Willie Nelson song and for another one after 10 attempts I gave up. Developers please make Shazam what it use to be, it doesn't have to be all pretty face as is now I use to spend a lot of time at a time on the app would stay on for 2 - 3 hours listening to music from Shazam but now it's so slow. Also I want to get paid version but how can I if I'm not happy with what I see. Please go back or re update but fix.

I wish I could put ZERO STARS. I do not understand how people are getting what they want with this app. I thought this app would work to find “that song” for me, guess what? It didn’t. I got this app thinking it would be great, because the reviews are fantastic. The only thing I like about this app is that it doesn’t cost wasted money (at least I can just throw it away). I don’t know about anyone else, but I believe lots of people are also getting Shazam because the app itself made it seem impressive. When I first opened Shazam, I wanted to play around with it, so I sang Happy Birthday. Who doesn’t know Happy Birthday? Apparently Shazam didn’t. Then I got confused and tried it again, it still didn’t work. I finally decided to sing my song I wanted to know the name of (I still don’t know the name of). It didn’t work. Voice recognition is very helpful and accessible, but Shazam sadly couldn’t be with that. It shows how badly great inventions like voice recognition can be used for.

It’s working!!!. I was just getting ready to write a bad review because over the past several weeks I had been trying to reinstall the app because it had stopped working about a month ago. I must’ve reinstalled it four times and then deleted it because it kept crashing. So after reading some of these bad reviews here just now I went to look at the version history and I saw that it had been updated like four or five times over the past month. I thought before I wrote a review I would try to reinstall it ONE MORE TIME to see what happens. To my surprise it opened right up and it’s working! So for any of you guys who were having a problem. Try it now. I love this app! I’m happy they finally got the issues straightened out!

Good for mainstream music only. This app used to be the best at identifying music. However, as my music interest wanders into other genres, Shazam doesn’t. It doesn’t identify lesser known songs/artists. Also, it has a very hard time identifying music if the room is noisy or low. Even though I could hear low music clearly, Shazam could not identify it. It’s not Shazam’s fault, but the sensitivity of the mic on the phone. Also, the song chilling lyrics, it is always delayed/lagged. Instead of magnifying the current lyrics while scrolling up in a stiff manner, why not have a genie effect with a smooth scroll? That way, the lyrics and the song doesn’t have to sync, but you still works out right. Note: In older versions of Shazam, from many years ago, it used to have some cool effects for the lyrics, which for some reason, just disappeared.

One of My Top 5 Apps. I LOVE THIS APP. I’m always on the hunt for new music and this app helps me do that! I love how I can be out and about, hear a song, hold up my phone, and in less than five seconds I’ve learned what it is. And it can seriously hear the song even if you’re out in a public place and the music isn’t that loud! Let me give you a few examples. I was in a busy chipotle and it gave me the song title. I was in a lens crafter and could barely hear the speaker myself. And there was this song from this short 1 minute video where my friend is talking over the song and all you can hear in the background is the melody but I was like OMG WHAT IS THAT SONG and I thought there was no way the app would be able to get it because the song was so subtle but low and behold it discovered it! DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!

GREAT app!. Shazam is a REALLY good app,I saw my mom using this app in the car and I was curious so I asked her what the app was, later I downloaded it. I have been using and literally I found so many songs that I have been wanting to find for YEARS. I’m also really happy that if your playing the song on ur computer and it can still get the song, and also in the car! And also when I hit the keyboard it counts it as nothing which is SO useful!! The only thing is that the last time I went on Shazam it was that the screen was black instead of blue. I don’t know if it’s my device or the app doing weird stuff, but overall this app is AWESOME. I really hope people start using this app especially if into music!!

Cool but there’s a flaw with the iOS implementation. When you Shazam tracks from within the actual app and have the Apple Music sync feature these songs *automatically* get added to a custom Shazam playlist in the app. Unfortunately with the new iOS features that also allow you to Shazam track do not work with this feature… and that makes no sense because Apple owns Shazam! Take for instance, asking Siri “what song is this?” Siri will accurately get the song info and also allow you to open the sign in Shazam. All standard behavior. It even shows the new track a newly shazamed song. Unfortunately the automatic playlist doesn’t recognize this as a true Shazam. Same with when you use the iOS shortcut within the shortcuts app or when you use the newly implemented control center button. All three of these methods for Shazaming do not work with the Apple music syncing feature. PLEASE FIX THIS.

Great app, but one issue.. This app is great on pretty much every level. I used to hate having to just guess the name of a song or never remember a song again because nobody said the name. And no way was I able to tell the name of any classical music pieces. But with Shazam, all of those problems are fixed and it is easy, just the tap of a few buttons away! My one problem, is that it asks for me to sign in with my Apple id password EVERY TIME. It doesn’t matter if I signed in with it lasts time, it will ask again. The settings say it is linked to my Apple Music, so I don’t see why it would keep asking. This can get very annoying since I don’t now any way to stop it. Other than that this is a great app and I highly recommend it!

Great App!! Very Helpful!!. App is great it’s very helpful when your trying to figure out the name of a song that is on the tip of your tounge, or who sings the song Shazam is there to help with that in a matter of seconds. I’ve used this app for a long time with all of the songs I’ve Shazam’d I’ve only had one issue, I think it was just a glitch it gave me a completely different song 2 times in a row and then the 3rd time it popped up, I haven’t had an issue since, I’ve also had a few app upgrades over the time period too. I honestly think since it was a song in a movie the talking and other background noise threw it off l, but I love this app!! I’ve only had the one issue and no other problems I love the app!!

This is an awesome app... but mine has been glitching!. I love this app, I’ve had it since it first came out. I like that I can link it to face book, share cool songs that I found on my face book feed or to individual friends. I can even look up the lyrics to the songs that I Shazam. However, for about a month now when ever I go to “my Shazam” to look at the the songs I discovered it kicks me out the app immediately. I have even tried signing out so I could sign back in, in the hopes that it would reset the app... that didn’t help. So I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it again. That didn’t work! So it is for this reason I’m am rating the app 2 stars. It is extremely annoying that I can’t use the app to its fullest. Especially when I enjoyed using the app the way it was intended prior to this issue. So if the developers can fix this glitch I would be happy to give this a app a 5 star rating-once again.

Annoying issue I’ve had, and finally got tired of.. I had SoundHound for years, but over time realized that it seemingly had a smaller database than Shazam around when I first installed it. It was fine for a while, but it seemingly only remembers searches when it feels like it? I can’t find anyone else that has had the same issue, but when I go to the app, and go through my Shazam history it will only track certain recordings. I can’t always check the songs I Shazam because often when I hear them, I’m at work so I liked being able to put it on, and sort of bookmark it for later.. but not the case with Shazam. For instance, today I searched for songs on 2-3 occasions, and all I have is a history result from last week.. I’ve finally deleted it to go back to soundhound simply because I know that my history will be saved there :/

I love this application. Like stated above, I love this application,,but,, and it is a BIG but, if you are trying to learn how to sing a song, hence the reason this application failed to get that 5th Star. That missing 5th Star is because when you identify a song and it has the “Lyrics” button to depress, after you tag that song. I the lyrics tend to lag a little behind the spoken/sung word(s). This short coming tends to leave one/you guessing what is to be sung next and has you from time to time playing “CATCH UP” with that song, if lyrics are unknown to you. If you could program this application to show you the next line of song lyrics at LEAST a split second before the song lyrics are sung ,, “THAT WOULD BE GREAT”, and for CERTAIN would gain you the 5th illusive Star.

Crashes Immediately After Opening. After the latest update, the app broke. Crashes immediately after opening. Don’t get me wrong, Shazam can be one of the most useful, godsend apps available. I use it often using the control center function. Highly recommend if you are trying to find a song that is actively playing on your phone and you can’t swap between Shazamming and listening. This allows you to find a song that may be playing over any video, directly through the control center. All you have to do is go to settings, scroll down to “control center” and scroll down until you find “music recognition”. Now you’re all set. Just swipe down from the top right of your screen and it will be there. This is one of the greatest features of Shazam in my opinion. As I don’t need to find a second phone anymore to Shazam whatever song it is that’s playing on my phone.

Great app when it works!. This app is literally part of my daily routine so I use it quite a lot. However recently I’ve been noticing when I go to play a song using Apple Music through Shazam the entire app just stops working on my iPhone. So I figured it was just my phone acting up but then I went to use it on my iPad and the exact thing happened when I went to the map and tried playing a song. Also a lot of small things about the user interface will just stop working like the back buttons and scrolling on a page. It’s to the point every time after I Shazam a song and try to either add it to Apple Music or Olay it I have to close the app and restart it. Overall I love the app just wish I could use it a bit longer without having to restart it!

Songs don’t save. I used to love Shazam. But I’ve been running into the issue that the songs don’t save at all I can’t see the songs I Shazammed for that day. The last time it saved the songs was in May 2023. I’m not even asking for it to save in Apple Music it’s not even saving in the Shazam app. It gives me the name in the notification and that’s it which is inconvenient while I’m driving because when I finally stop and try to look up the songs I Shazammed so I can download them and save to Apple Music there’s literally nothing. Online it’s saying you can’t just have the notification appear you must open it (which it wasn’t like that before) well I’ve done that also and still no new songs since May 2023 and I Shazammed at least 10 songs yesterday 21 Aug 23 who knows what they were. How great, what a waste. All this technology and it’s not performing properly whos job is this and are they making 6 figures please ask them to fix the app. 😒🙄

Thank you!. Shazam! I do not have enough thank full words for your team. I’ve been using the app for as long as I can remember, but I’ve finally decided to give back to you and post a review. First off, the free aspect is incredible. I hate to say this, but it’s such an incredible app that I’d have no problem paying for what’s free. Next, thanks to the app, I have danced and grooved much harder, because now I can find the music my heart craves! Third, I love the fact that I can prove to my husband I know more music than he does (we use Shazam to Test). Ha. I could list 100 reasons why this software seems to be some of the more radical to hit the market, but I’ll just summarize w a deep and heart-felt thank you for your passion and vision. Amazing app. Works beautifully. Many thumbs up.

Amazing App. It’s really an amazing thing… to be able to have one of those songs you absolutely love but couldn’t recall the name of or the words for-something from childhood or another life- start playing in a random grocery store and be able to hold up your phone and “catch it” just like that! I use Shazam all the time! It’s brought so much beautiful music to me (back to me). I also think it’s really cool that you can Shazam without service and have the song/ music saved and identified later on. Now what I need is an app where you enter raw music or rhythms even to find songs! I have so many incomplete portions of songs running through my head that I can’t place! Or Melodie’s without lyrics that I haven’t been able to identify!

It vibrates upon song recognition. I have loved this app since the beginning. It used to vibrate when Shazam recognized the song. 👏🏻Then for some reason it didn’t do that for many years. 🤨I’m so happy to report that it does it again! 😄It vibrates again! 😁The reason the vibration is important is oftentimes you will be in a restaurant, or out in public and you hear a song that you don’t recognize, so you hold your phone up to the speaker in the ceiling, and when your phone vibrates you know it has recognized the song. YaY! Also I love that when I tap my screen now, a drop-down menu comes up and I just need to click “Shazam Now,” I can do it much quicker. Thanks!!

Reading my mind. Shazam has been around for a long time and throughout its development what’s amazing to me is how it has kept up, not only with contemporaneous music but also music from antiquity. There are other amazing apps for music out there - think radioooo - But Shazam really defines the music discovery app process. I only wish that there could be a one button or step process to acquiring the music easily. I’d happily pay a dollar for every song I’ve Shazammed. If they can figure that out a lot of money will be made and a lot of musicians and music lovers will be happy. Musicians because hopefully they’ll get paid for their efforts and music lovers because they’ll have access to the music that they have discovered with Shazam. Well done and keep up the good work.

So convenient, So clever, So revolutionary. Honestly though I garauntee every human being & definitely the better half that’s either reading reviews, reviewing their own , or is too busy using this amazing app has had to deal with those crappy moments when you hear new music you know you love but know you won’t hear again until you happen to be lucky enough to hear it again or the even crappier moments when you specifically want to hear one of those songs you heard but can’t because you don’t remember the name of it or worse yet you never end up knowing any music because you never are able to learn the music you hear and my PERSONAL least favorite.. knowing so much music but never knowing the names of them Until sazam

LOVE. So I downloaded this app 5 mins ago and it’s having my mind blown. I mean this app really is a life changer, I have never loved an app so much but I think I have found a new easy way to figure out what songs are called. I mean it’s just awesome I just can’t believe it, it’s really a game changer. Now I have an excuse to listen to music and rock out in my room. All you have to do is press the big button in the center of your screen give it 5 secs and BOOM your answer is right on the. Now I don’t have to go on the hunt for a song I don’t know the name of. And I never write reviews for apps but this is just different. Definitely recommend if you don’t feel like hunting down a song, this is your app.

Exactly as One Would Hope!. I loath being asked to review. I don’t mind giving my ‘star-rating,’ but anything more dissuades me. HOWEVER, the folks at Shazam deserve praise. As a music-lover and a musician this app is invaluable. It is incredibly competent and accurate at its job! Thank you folks for your brilliance in helping me identify songs in a music world that is now populated with probably the largest volume of “recorded” classic, indie, and DIY artists in the history of our civilization. Just 30 years ago the task of your app would have been daunting, however now it seems to me it should be insurmountable, yet you guys are accomplished at the task. Making my life easier and my iTunes playlist evolving and diverse. Thank you seems insufficient. Regardless, thank you!

Shazam music library or knowledge of songs. I have experienced that Shazam has in some cases it doesn’t recognize a song or songs, music etc for some reason. I have experienced in particular music one of my favorite music Latin music be it from the 1950s/60s/70s/80s. I am from New York, some music genres are Afo-Cuban, Mambo, Son, Guanguanco, Son Montuno etc and Shazam does not recognize some songs or music sadly. I listen to a radio station WFDU Saturdays 1pm - 6pm and they play a mixed array of the types of music, songs I am referring to, maybe if someone in the organization can listen a few Saturdays, one can get a good grasp of what is being brought attention to, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you, P.S. my compliments to the great body of work done thus far, hats off to the hard work done!

Shazam Is Awesome!. I absolutely love Shazam! My daughter told me about it, so I downloaded it. When new songs play on the radio, the DJs never say the name of the song or artist, so it takes a while to learn who sings them. With Shazam, I never have to worry about it anymore! I’ve used it for TV shows to find out the song and artist and also in a store when they are playing music over the sound system. I have a party every year and start collecting music so I can play it during the party. All I have to do is go to “My Shazam” file to look at all the songs I Shazamed and make my playlist. Sometimes, I can’t understand the words to the song and I’m able to go to the lyrics tab to look them up. It’s the coolest App ever!

Shazam!!. I could so easily find any songs I wanted to know about from Weather is the radio to teach the aura movie or even some thing I hear is someone else’s car! It picks up so quickly and 98% of the time this song is able to be found, which is amazing as well. When it does find a song for me on Shazam I can easily add to my Apple Music collection by pressing the apple logo on the song and at least 98 to 99% of the time that song is also available from Apple Music for me to download! Things could be a little better: by adding new songs to Shazam that it can’t find the very few songs that it doesn’t have in it’s system, and another thing that could be much better is if ALL the songs I Shazam were available to download on Apple iTunes music.

The drunk driver’s best friend. Everyone knows car music you wouldn’t normally listen to sounds way better after a few road beers. The biggest issue in modern society is that when you’re drinking and driving you can never remember the name of the cool forgotten song you’re hearing on the radio and you need some assistance. Well now you can be even more reckless and add pulling out your phone to your already barely functional driving and use Shazam to find/remember the songs for you! Then in a month or two when you open up the app to see what you’ve collected you can just delete all the songs you don’t want (all of them) and add the ones you do want (none of them) to your Apple Music library and start the whole process over!

I love this❤️❤️💙💙. I can listen to literally anything. I can just say, this is the best app that exists. I used to have the clipp like you go in settings and click add clips so I’ll know it’s safe now I downloaded the app and it is the best app I can listen to any song when I click the song it brings it right to me then I listen on Apple Music it’s so cool I didn’t know Apple Music was with Shazam now that is fun few, that was a mouth full but anyhoo I love this and instead of 5 stars Shazam gets 1,000,000 star rating ❤️❤️❤️❤️ oh one more thing sorry but I your looking for a song the the people who rated: if you know or don’t know you need the app Shazam and you can search the song or you can put some of the lyrics in the search that what helps me

Literally The Dumbest Music App Ever. I’ve actually been wanting to get this for a long time. And so I got it. A few Minutes after I got the app. There was a song that was playing on the Television. So I quickly got my iPad and I tapped the Shazam thing or whatever I don’t Know XD. Anyway I held up the iPad up close to the TV because that’s literally what I’m supposed to do when I don’t Know a song. So I did. But then when it done doing its thing I realized it got the wrong song. And that was when I got really frustrated. WHY!? I know, it’s really stupid how I am I supposed to know what the song is if it doesn’t even work? It’s so confusing. So I quickly deleted the app and now it’s gone. Please fix this app.

THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO MUSIC LOVERS. SHAZAM IS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO MUSIC LOVERS SINCE iTunes. I listen to music much of the day. Whether I’m in my car, at home, on an aircraft, on a Caribbean Sea vessel, my music is on! What Shazam does for me is to identify music with which I’m unfamiliar in an instant. And the best feature is one I only recently “discovered!” As I heard new music, I used to run for my phone with the Shazam app to position it to pick up the audio. But I listen to so much of my music via my iPhone! I just discovered that I can simply click on Shazam while any music is playing in my phone from any source. Shazam identifies it instantly! Before the ding has finished playing from some radio station in the world, Shazam has made it possible for me to download it!!!!

What happened?. I love the Shazam app. I use it VERY OFTEN. I have noticed that I can no longer Shazam a song while I’m on the phone. I have an iPhone, 12 Pro Max. I have noticed that feature have changed. I used to be able to have a conversation on my phone, while using my air pods pro, and Shazam a song playing on the radio or while I’m walking in a store. That was AWSOME!!! Now that feature have vanished. PLEASE, PLEASE bring back that feature. I’m a serious music lover of all genres and it was so wonderful to identify songs while sharing conversations with friends and colleagues. What happened? Please allow it to return!! For that I can only give 3 stars instead of the 5+ stars I would normally give.

Very good app and I appreciate what it does.. This app is great and it comes in handy since I am a broadcaster on an Internet radio station. There are a lot of songs that Shazam can identify that Siri can’t. There are just two small problems and I hope that in a future update these can be resolved. In Shazam below the Shazam button is a button that is not labeled. I believe this is the search button. But voiceover doesn’t know what to do with it. It guess is at what it is. Then in the top right corner, there is the charge button. When you get into this area, you are unable to close this area by going back. I’m hoping that Shazam an apple and Shazam work to fix these issues. Other than that, this is a good app.

Shazam. This app has changed my life. Before Shazam I had severe halitosis and couldn’t find a girlfriend. I was also a shoplifter. I decided to get into therapy and my therapist told me I was the most boring patient she had ever worked with. Then one day I was riding my three speed Schwinn bike. I looked down at my iPhone and saw the app for Shazam. As I was writing I lost my focus and ran over an old man who everybody in our neighborhood hated. As he laid there in my arms, ready to die he gave me two admonitions. “Stop picking your own boogers when you are riding a bike , you idiot. And start finding new songs using Shazam. Maybe now, I’ll discover the real words to “Wooly Bully”. So merry Christmas to everyone at Shazam and stay away from me if you see me riding my bike. Best wishes, Steve Reynolds

Most Reliable App Ever Made!!. Since day one and what seems like endless apps downloaded since apps were created, Shazam has been that constant, that rock, that reliable friend. This app has been with me throughout the years and hasn’t failed, hasn’t been stuck in some circling mode of hell or crashed. Sure, maybe it’s had some hiccups getting some songs incorrect or versions of certain songs but we all have hiccups! Shazam you have helped me be mom o’ the year and always knowing the song 😉. You didn’t stop there either- you went further with letting me sing along!! It doesn’t get better than this app. Thanks Shazam, we are super cool together! Please stay this way. Add a trivia guessing game and BOOM outta the ballpark. Stay away from bugs. Stay safe. Continue to be awesome!! Love, Mom SHAZAM ROCKS!

Poor UX. Hard to Shazam after the first Shazam.. This app does one thing and that one thing is not present on any page in this app after your first Shazam. So dumb. More — The “Shazam” button exists only on the launch page. Once you Shazam and it finds the track, you are forever stuck on the details page of that song. It doesn’t reset back to the Shazam page, ever. And it doesn’t let you swipe to go back (sorry iPhone Plus and X users). If you come back 3 days later to Shazam a song quickly, you’ll still be stuck on the last track you Shazam’d and no quick Shazam button access (read: no ability to Shazam). The only way to do it is to hit little tiny back arrow button perfectly to go back. I have missed so many Shazam chances because I opened Shazam, it lands on the details page of a song I Shazam’d days ago, and I couldn’t quickly hit back with one hand on my phone. Beautifully designed app, poorly thought out UX.

Several Issues. Shazam is a very useful tool, but it does have some issues in this version. For starters, I’d like to modify Notifications Settings… but the link in the app takes me to the front page of Settings and there’s no panel for Shazam available on my new phone. Additionally, when upgrading to a new iPhone I lost access to the ad-free experience I bought into years ago with the since-depreciated Shazam Encore. I’m using the same account as before, but I have ads now… I’ve submitted a ticket and am waiting to hear back. A final complaint would be with Facebook integration. Most apps now show me a page asking to sign in with the Facebook app, which takes me there to authenticate; Shazam, on the other hand, wants me to sign in directly in the app instead of taking me to the Facebook app to do so; this is less secure, sends my data through Shazam for additional lost security, and is just not the way I want to do things. Security and privacy are important in today’s world, and Shazam needs to add simple support for Facebook’s newer secure-authentication system. Other than those issues and occasional minor bugs, Shazam works great. Aside from the emails about the top charts that I can’t seem to turn off in the app for some reason, I enjoy using Shazam and it has proven extremely helpful in identifying music on many occasions.
