One of the best expense tracking app on iOS. I have been using this app since 2009. In my opinion, it is one of the best expense tracking app out there. It helps you to track expense, manage budget, income and cash flow. The visualization of this app has been improving since a decade ago. And the good thing is the developer keeps updating the app to adopt new iOS features such as 3D Touch, quick action, Touch ID etc. I strongly recommend this to any iOS users who wish to have control of their financial expense. 我从2009年开始一直以来都在用这个记账软件。真的很棒，它不仅可以记账，还有预算和现金流等功能，很实用，而且它的图形报表等功能都在不断完善，软件开发者十年来一直不断地更新，加入新功能，非常推荐！

Mandatory App for Everyone. I literally cannot live without this app, I’m lost if I miss one day of tracking my expenses, very easy and friendly to use.

This is awesome that it’s back. I was heartbroken that they changed it a while back but now that it is like how it was this is seriously the best app ever….

Exactly what I need. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and it is fantastic! I love that you can export your accounts to Excel and that you can customize as you need. This app is exactly what I need to stay on track.

Does not share between devices and no support. I’ve been using this App for years and it previously worked great. It used to sync between devices but doesn’t anymore despite paying fees to have that option. I’ve emailed a multitude of times trying to trouble shoot and responses are very delayed and nothing has worked. I’ve tried getting a number and help but no one ever helps to trouble shoot this. Very frustrating because I can’t have an assistant help log unless they use my phone but I need my phone. Need to have sync function fixed so I can share between iPad and iphone or refund payments for this upgrade. Please fix and please get a number for support!

Dr. Very easy to use, helps me in my business. Very quick and efficient. I have been using it for the last 18 years and love it, would be able to survive without it.

LOVE IT!!!. I’ve literally used this app now for about 9 years and have see it change dramatically. It has come so far. Customer service is the best out there as well. They are quick to respond and you can tell they value your feedback. I use this app daily and it’s truly helped me get a handle on not only my personal but my small business finances too. Good app for tracking. I keep my incoming and outgoing numbers every day; and this is a good app for that. I love how easy it is to input numbers and create categories. The down side is that it’s easy to make duplicates or errors and hard to erase. One time when I changed phones I accidentally created a duplicate account and the customer service to help me was almost nonexistent. I just try to be extra careful so I never need them again.

Two years going strong. I've been using 2 years and I use it every day including traveling abroad. Always increasing it's usability keeps it the best app

Pretty good. Worthwhile.. All in all, it’s good. Has major syncing issues though; pictures often don’t sync, and they often only remain in the original device which entered in the picture(s). When in sync mode, inputting can be extremely slow after pressing “save” (up to 45 seconds sometimes), so it makes multiple sequential inputting inconvenient sometimes. If entering multiple pictures, it only lets you do one at a time, which is kinda inconvenient. It should allow the user to tap as many pictures as you want—all at the same time. I use this every day, and make several entries a day. I love it, and with a little tweaking, it’d be near perfect. The search options is very useful and well designed. All in all, it’s well worth it, and a useful tool. Note: I have thousands of entries in this, so in its defense, I may be taking It to its limit.

Longtime User. I’ve used this app for 7+ years. It’s great when working. Recently the family sync feature hasn’t been working consistently and to correct they recommend logging out and logging back in. Now I’m locked out of my account because of an error on their side that says “The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format”. Unfortunately this app has been having troubles recently.

Great app to track business expenses. I use the app to track my business expenses. It’s really helpful and easy to use app.

Great app but. Please fix the auto photo feature. It just doesn’t work unless the receipt is absolutely perfectly flat and against the perfect background, which almost never happens. So it takes two, three, sometimes four attempts and I usually have to just turn off the auto and switch to manual every time. You could also just make the auto/manual a setting option so we can choose to default to manual. Everything else about the app has been great lately thank you!

Back Up Blessings. Ok first off I’m not really into leaving reviews or at times even giving stars, on this one though this group gets both 5 star and an awesome review for the excellent customer support! For some reason the data on my phone erased all of 2019 and panicked because we needed the expenses. After contacting support I really didn’t think I would here anything back especially with everything we have going on now in the world. Michelle from the support team replied to every email and question I had with suggestions to get things back up. Luckily I made a back up 1 week before the crash and the team helped send ideas to get it loaded again. After many tries SUCCESS. Thank you to all of you we can keep going. The best App ever! Easy to use, and effective.. This is a very effective app. It works very well, and I am extremely happy with it. I have used it for many years. Even better, their customer support is second to none. I am not just saying this, but this is absolutely true. When I had some questions about the app, they were there for me quickly, effectively, and stayed with me until I resolved the issue. I have never experienced this kind of customer service anywhere. Get this app. You will never regret it. The app is logical, easy to use, and very effective in all ways. I use this app to run my entire small company, and I have zero complaints.

Used this App for over 10 years!!. This is the best app for keeping up with your $$!! I have used it for over 10 years, they tried to change it once and I almost cried! But they changed it back and I just love it!! I depend so much on it for my budgeting and banking!!! Best most used app on my phone😊

Been using for years. This is the best way to take control of your finances. First you have to know where it goes. Log every expense. Don’t get frustrated if you get off track. Reconcile and just learn from your mistakes. Eventually if auto fills and is a breeze. However, if you have many accounts like I do..ALWAYS double check which account is auto filled. This is dope.

Great App but needs to fix default. I love this app and have been using it for years. I’ve also been complaining about the default position of the cursor when you open a new record - it’s always on the second line (the vendor). This means that you have to physically move it to the line above where you fill out the expense/credit amount. Why can’t the cursor be on that first item to begin with and then move down automatically as you fill the info in?

Since March 2009 and iPhone 3G. It’s still on my home screen. I love this app as much as I did when I first downloaded it and I use it nearly every day. Thank you for keeping it updated and running smoothly!

Great program. I have been using this program for a number of years and I love. I was sharing The app with a friend today and realize that there wasn’t that many reviews so I wanted to hive my 2 cents.

Hijacks all your txt files. I have used this app for over 14 years and it was a good app. However, just recently, within the last year, they did something where now if you have any .txt (text) files on your device and you try to open these, it will automatically open the iXpenseIt app. I have had numerous conversations with this developer over the period of many months and they arrogantly refuse to do anything about this. Additionally, I have contacted Apple and they also do not care about this issue. Think about what this app does with any text you have that would have seriously private information! They have access to it. It’s not right. DO NOT USE. Class action lawsuit should be filed. I want to be clear about something. There is no way to open any text file unless you either delete this app or you do a long press and then select QuickLook.

Could you add reminder as option to each new record?. Excellent application! Using it for many years. I am wondering if you could consider to add the option to edit/delete/reset items in quick fill.

Unable to Log In. I’ve used this App “forever”, it is easy to use and a great way to track my expenses. Yesterday, I noticed the App wasn’t synching between my iPhone and iPad. I tried to sync, but had to log out of the App on the iPad. When I tried to log back in, I received a pop-up advising me it wasn’t in the right format. P.S. I only use 4 passwords for all my logins, and when I tried a different password, I received a pop-up advising that I entered a wrong password. Need help ...

Pam. I’ve used this app for a number of years but when it somehow got deleted from my phone I wasn’t able to retrieve it as I never downloaded or printed any reports. I was told it was all in iCloud but my IT guy couldn’t find it so I lost all the expenses I tracked for years. Very disappointing...

Awesome app with great support. The app is very versatile with constant updates. Maybe a bit difficult to work with but becomes very easy to use quickly. Highly recommend the paid version.

Great App. Edit: I hope the developers see this comment so here goes nothing: I want a way for the app to calculate APR on what’s due. For example home loan, or credit card. This way, when your paying down a loan, you can see it more accurately. Also would be nice to add 401k info but that might be harder to see because the return can fluctuate. I love this app. Only issue is that I feel like the numbers I see at times isn't what actually happened. But it does work though. I use it a a back up to my own records. If you have a business this helps too

Almost perfect. The app has had its bad times but at this point it is almost perfect. The only thing missing is being able to save the scan settings. I always want it to black and white, but it always defaults to color

Great App And Customer Service. I really like this app. It is a quick and easy way to track my expenses. Customer service is also excellent. I reported an issue that was causing a crash. They quickly responded and then followed up with a second email when the issue had been fixed. Thanks!

Support is horrible. I have the multi device syncing subscription for only two devices and the # of transactions are different making the balances in the account different. I have followed every trouble shooting tip, sent back up files from both devices and I now get no response from support.

Still the best!. This is a must have! Being able to analyze your spending and your earnings helps you identify what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. If you nail this, the money you invest in this app is recovered immediately. Also, I have discovered duplicated charges that some establishments try to charge most of the times by mistake, but stil... and this app has helped me! The subscription is totally worth it because if you loose your device you can recover so easily even if you haven’t backed up in months! This is the app that I use the most, by far! Please keep on doing such an amazing job developers!

Still like it after four years. From five stars to four with latest cosmetic changes. This is one of my favorite apps. It makes my monthly expense report fast, easy and accurate! I love being able to enter expenses on the spot and snapshotting the receipt so I never lose one now and I love having multiple regular account reports. Exporting to CSV also allows me to easily import into an Excel sheet for company forms. Purchasing the PDF addin was an absolute necessity. I still think it would be nice to 1) sync with desktop and other devices, 2) have OCR capability to automatically read amounts from photo scans, 3) for mileage charges, need to be able to enter odometer readings AND rate to calculate AND add note to comments. Photos of full page receipts (e.g. hotel receipts) are sometimes less clear when printed out or PDF'd. Even so, I still love this app! Well worth the money.

Great again!!!. Thank you for bringing back the entire functionality of the original version. All I’d like to see added is a feature for transferring information between platforms (phone to iPad, etc.).

Took Me a While to Like. Took me a few months to warm up to it, but after trying close to a dozen similar apps (ie, HomeBudget w/Sync, Money Manager Budget & Expense, Mobius Budget Planner, Prism, Money, Spending Tracker, PocketGuard, Monefy Money Manager, Savings, Easy Spend, Money Pro, etc) this is my favorite expense tracking and monthly budgeting app. Nothing fancy, but it does the job well.

Pretty good expense tracker. It’s been a life changer for me in terms of tracking expenses but developer has left a lot of money on table by not expanding tracking data. Why can I not provide more than a vendor name/label? What about tracking expenses by expanded vendor contact data? How much did I spend in a particular city last week? So much wasted potential but good for what it does.

Can’t save scanned receipts. For some reason, a recent update has caused the “Keep Scan” button not to show up at the bottom of the screen. There’s no way to directly save a scanned image other than taking a picture, saving it to photos, and then uploading it to the app. I emailed customer service, sending them a screen shot, and they never responded. I’ve used this app (pro version) for years. This is the first time I have been disappointed with its functionality and more disappointed with the silence from customer service.

Went from great to awful. I use this app less in a year than I used to in a day. It is slow and clumsy now and too much of a pain to use. I'm looking for a replacement now after using this app for over 5 years. They made it more powerful but it’s WAY too slow to enter a receipt so I just dont use it. Each receipt used to take 10-15 seconds to enter. Now it takes more than a minute.

An enormous waste of time. I’ve been using the app for two years and twice I have lost data that support was unable to help me retrieve. On both occasions it cost me an entire day to fix and a lot was lost for good. Sync does not always work and there are problems with multiple people adding data. Now I’m switching to a more professional solution.

Buggy since last update. Since the new iOS update came out, there’s been issues. The app doesn’t allow you to make multiple entries (it will allow one, but won’t save any additional entries from going in....forcing you to force quit the app) and multi-device sync works...but after a pretty good delay. Still my favorite budget app, but please fix this.

Need old version back.. I have been using this app for years and always loved it for a nice overview of my budget. This new version ruined it please revert it to how it used to look. Updated: new updated helped a lot thank you for that.

Must Have. This app is a must have for any busy entrepreneur! With a simple yet powerful interface one can track all expenses and print reports as necessary for reimbursements or tax purposes. I have grown to use it for everything I spend. It saves so much time and everything including the paper receipts are at your fingertips. I’m a fan!

Solid & improved (updated review from 6 yr user). Used this app for almost six years now and its updates have improved little things that were annoying, and have also made it look much better than back in 2012. Major props. I’d say the strengths here come from its ease of use and basic nature. They’ve also added a feature that lets you convert costs from one currency to another, which is useful since I live abroad but still have bills to pay in the US.

Happy for 4 years. I love this app. I use it for personal expenses because I realized I had no idea how much I was spending and on what. It helps me determine if my spending reflects what I say I believe in. I find it user friendly and flexible. The only flaws are with the user 😊

What amazing app. Incredible value. This product is intuitive straightforward and simple to use. It does everything I need to record business expenses keep them organized and then report on them. It is a godsend.

Excellent App to track expenses!. Whats good is you can classify the type of payments or expenses. Examples: household, personal basics, lifestyle, travel, office. etc Also analysis and tracking of your payment methods. Cash. Cheque. eBanking. Credit and Debit cards. App is stable and you can back it up by exporting the file (airdrop) to your Mac if you wish.

Not as fast as it used to be for data entry. I’ve been using this app for 10 years. I resisted changing to the new version and upon the change I did experience problems. However, the bugs were fixed and now all is well. The main gripe I have is the speed of entering default transactions. All the fields should be populated on the main transaction screen and the user just enters the $ figure. This is how it used to work. It was fast and easy. Now the screen takes you to category screen to click on then back to the $ entry. Much slower. This has definitely resulted in my reduced usage of your app as I cannot enter transactions fast enough then & there when I do purchases. If you can please fix up the easy of this like it was previously it would be great. 2nd gripe is that lots of data displayed on the reports the screen cannot the rotated to capture the bar graphs. I’ve got 10 years of data.

Not happy. Isn’t syncing across multiple devices like it use to.

From happiness to frustration.. Syncing has been a nightmare lately. Our whole financial tracking relies on IXpenseIt but since synching is not consistent, we had overspend in some areas, and having to rethink and redo our budgets. Last update still didn’t fix the issue so my wife has to ask me to log expenses for her, making things really awkward and difficult. I really love the simplicity of the app but we only got into the subscription model for the multi device syncing, which by the way doesn’t work. Just the heads up that I emailed support twice before leaving this updated review, with no answer.

Great app. Great app. I have been using it for years. Keeps getting better. I do however; wished they gave you the option to use icloud for syncing devices.

Great. This is a great prog

It's not perfectly easy to use but it an acceptable compromise. This might not be the prettiest GUI but it is a very useful and deep budgeting app. I find it relatively quickly to categories my expenses - with essentially 3 levels of categorisation - type, category, sub-category. This allows you to go as micro managed or as general as you want. To be honest the other apps I tried were too slow at adding transactions or were to broad/general and didn't give me enough category options. I've also recently tried the import CSV function and it is GREAT. With a little work you can grab CSVs of your bank statements, reformat them and import it in - hey presto mass transaction adding! Also exporting reports allow them to view it in html with photos! The only thing I would like to see improved is the photo adding. Sometimes with several photos of receipts in my library it is very difficult to determine which is which and there is no way to quickly check if I've uploaded the correct one.

Great!!!!. I downloaded it because I saw the good review. However,at the first starts,I think it a bit hard to use & complicated than my current using app (My budget). But when I understand and starta using it,realize that the money is worth! Its soo good to keep tracks all of ur money,accounts expenses & income. Now I dont really need to remember every night what i spent during the day when write down daily diary. It is an exactly useful apps. I have different budget such as my saving account,cash on hand, household foods budget (of me & my sharemates put together each month). This app helps me control and manage all the Money In ,Money Out. I strongly recommended it for my friends,my brother, my sister n' u guys who intendted to buy it too. Therefore, I hope there will be the function (note) for me to add the planned budget ,expense n' income.

Not The Best. There's quite a lot of functionality lost compared to the older version. I almost never do feedback but this update makes me question whether any of the developers actually use the app themselves because surely they would be able to immediately pickup some of the efficient functions lost over the previous version? The auto-input/suggestions per each vendor seems to have disappeared which was one of the most convenient features - now you need to add all details for every separate transaction. Further, you can't start typing the vendor anymore but must have the alphabetised list?? Doesn't make sense. Hopefully with these reviews there might be quick attention paid to the solutions because it's been years worth of investing time and data into this app to then have to go look for another one!

Great program... when it works.... This will be the second month in a row I have been using the program, only to have it completely stuffed up by an update mid-budget. And for the second month in a row I am waiting for an update that will fix the problems caused by the one preceding it. If you buy this program, and find it works... resist the temptation to update. It seems strange to me that basic calculation errors are overlooked. I will start looking for another budgeting program, because I am sick of entering all this data and crossing my fingers every update in the hope that it doesn't screw it all up again. A roll-back option would be a great idea... Get it right guys.

Great Expense Tracker for Small Business. I've been using ixpenseit for about a year now. The more I use it the more powerful it seems to become. I now essentially run all my small business accounts through it and am finding it easier and better than the spreadsheet I was using. This does take a bit of setting up your categories, but once you have it is very powerful. UPDATE - I have now been running my business accounts through iXpensIt for the last 6 month, and to be honest it has been the easiest 6 months I have had managing my accounts. I complete my BAS in about an hour rather than a couple of days and end of month is really smooth and easy too. Things I would like to see in updates are automated backups to say MobileMe or Dropbox, and to be able to set a custom category for mileage. Oh, please, let's have an iPad version too! One last thing, and this is really for the developer. This is a great program with great updates at a very cheap price. You seriously need to have more in app purchases to allow you to keep going. I would probably include sync in this as an annual charge (see the todo app model for this). I actually feel bad every time a major update comes through that I am not paying you for it. The new way to add Vendors for example saves an amazing amount of time and I actually feel bad you have given it to me for nothing!

Great app!. Hi, I've been using this app since pretty well straight after it was first released. I initially used it more as a basic budget tool, but as I realized just how good it was, I increased that to fully managing a fairly large property portfolio. It is truly amazing and with each update it just keeps getting better. Any bugs that have presented have been rectified quickly and the support team respond quickly to input and suggestions. I thoroughly recommend this app to anyone who wants a completely flexible and dynamic budget/record managing tool. It's quick to understand and can be as basic or as encompassing as you wish. Well done!

Much better!. Bringing back the dashboard is great as are some of the usability fixes such as button placement and the navigation bar. Good to see that several bug fixes have also been addressed! App is getting back towards its previous simplicity (still a few things to address) while still looking to the future with a new look and new features. The prompt response to recent user feedback has raised my confidence in the development team and I hope that we will see more 'simplifying' changes to come. Looking forward to adding a 5th star on the next update... maybe

This app can make you rich. According to the book The Millionaire Next Door, wealthy people always know where every cent of their money is going. This app can literally make you richer, and it only costs a few dollars. I've used this app to keep track of my finances for years, and it's the best financial app I've seen. I know how much I've spent and where to cut back. At tax time, I just take an Excel file of all my transactions and show them to the accountant, who gives me a discount because this app makes so organised. In short, I would recommend this app to anyone.

2.4v seems correct most issues. Re-review gave a rating of (2) initially but ver.2.4 fixed rollover, start date, income gauge prob, so improvements made me change my review. Checked "homebudget" but like this app more. (Prev. Review) Does what it says but feel "homebudget" might of been better. Lack of income, line charts, multple accounts and starting point makes it only a approx measure. They do have workaround for income but gauge doesn't work if you use it. Getting paid on 15th also cause problems and doesn't carry over to the next month. Good but needs alot of work, definitely do more research next time see a iphone TV ad.

Upgrade going great. I had this and was using the previous version, which I liked but wanted the ease of customising the budget - weekly etc. Have not had any crashes with this version 2.4 and am using to input up to 4 times daily. Did notice on last version would only sometimes crash when entering a whole heap of data in one go. The iXpebseIt support team are really great, any queries and they get back to you with full and detailed explanation and very promptly. This is easy to use with lots of ways to customise to your liking - WAY better than any of the other ones I have downloaded and tried. Recommend this one.

Excellent!. This app is by far the best. The best feature for me is being able to track a custom budget in my home currency (AUD), but enter expenses in my visiting country (THB). Other apps did not offer this important feature. The reports are great and being able to customize the category info is perfect. My only crtiticism is that I found the app slightly confusing to setup initially, and the help system is slow and incomplete. I found no online manual either. It took me a short time of playing around before I understood how budgets and expenses are defined and related to each other. However, all makes sense eventually and well worth the exploration if you are serious about tracking expenses and managing budget while travelling. You will find the features you need in this app.

Perfect app~!. Finally, after a long search...this app have met all my needs to track my cash flow..I particularly fallen in love with the feature that could let the user to choose the method of payment (i.e. cash, credit). Also the "report" feature is awesome in the way that I could view/filter the list of expenses by the method of payment. Room for improvement: would be allowing the user to create more than one account. For example I might have one account for myself, and record transactions on behalf of my wife for example.

Great Application and Fantastic After Sales Service. Wonderful application which helps me to have my budjet organized. What is even better is their after sales service. In the previous update the "import from csv" function, which is a function that I use very often, had been disabled. I wrote to the guy and have received a response in just 2 days. In the response, he explained to me why the function is temporarily disabled and they are in fact looking for some better alternative to replace the function. However, since I have been using the function so often, I asked them whether it is possible to re-enable the function first before the new solution is in place. 1 week after, new update was released and the function is enabled again! What can you say with such a good after sales service! Excellent job guys!

Working well. After using the previous version for many years the update did not handle the data transfer from the old version to the new version accurately. I started again from scratch with this new version bringing across only the end balances for my various budgets and it has been performing great.

Brilliant!. By far the best value iPhone app I've purchased. Flexible budgeting options - you can choose to run in simplified or detailed budget modes with the later allowing budgets on individual expense categories. Lots for flexibility for adding your own custom expense categories too. Neat reporting and export capabilities. It's fast & easy to use, which is important for me when entering purchases while I'm out & about. Most importantly this app really helps keep my personal spending under control - it's paid for itself many, many times over.

Very useful. I’ve been using this App for many years and find it indispensable for keeping track of budgets across different categories of expenses. The developer is also very responsive to the occasional hiccup. Good value for the annual subscription. Highly recommended.

Adjustment. Once you get over the concern that everything looks different and wondering of 'is all the data I've been plugging into this still ok'... yes, it takes some adjustment - but that, I think, was inevitable for any big update, of anything. I can see you've added some great functionality, in being able to set your own report dates, which is v helpful for the AU June-July tax year! And mileage (not important to me personally, but a nice add on). I'm sure I'll adjust to it all and probably find it better as it becomes familiar again. My only feedback is that you seem to have increased the number of button presses to enter an expense, and it's also slightly harder to select an existing expense vendor as it's now at the very top of the screen, and you need to tap the top box to open the keyboard. Small stuff, but when you're using the app all throughout the day - the usability there has gone down a little. It'd be great if the keyboard opened up automatically with the vendor list - much easier to tap anywhere to close it, than to reach the top of the screen, and then back to type. First world problems eh ;)

Great App. I find that this App is easy to use and Know exactly where the money spent. It keeps track of my income and spending records which is what I need.

And one more thing .... Still the best budget app I've found for my purposes (I'm still hunting though). I asked about using multiple categories in custom budget. I also think ALL budget apps should have a built-in calculator (I've only seen one that does). I often need to split a single receipt between two categories - I bet i'm not the only one who doesn't classify washing powder and shampoo as food. Having a calculator in the app would make this doable in thirty seconds instead of making me hunt out a pen or do it in my head which is pretty silly. Also could we have more icons, there is no such thing as too many; they aren't just a gimmick, they make it really do make for easier use.

Cloud service failed me. I’ve been using this app for years, even before they transitioned to a subscription based app. I was very happy with this app until recently when I encountered a login issue. Long story short, I lost gigabytes of receipts and photos as apparently the app wasn’t uploading it to the cloud for some reason. All the while, I thought I didn’t have to do a manual backup anymore as I’m already paying for an annual subscription. I recommend that anyone using their cloud services check that their data is actually being backed up in their cloud. Don’t get surprised like me.

Update isn’t good. I love the app but the new update just makes the app worse ... I have to keep refreshing the app in order to save expenses ... It just freezes

I want the original version back!!! This one is terrible.. I have used this app for nearly 6 years and was very happy with it. This new updated version may look sophisticated and behave intuitively, but it has robbed me of all the control over specific parameters for reports which were vital for me. I want to control the app, not have the app try to tell me what I want to do! All user control and flexibility is lost. Where is the dashboard with monthly breakdown? Why are the tabs on the left so huge, taking up half the page, when they only contain one word? Stop trying to cram so much in one page. Everything that made the original version outstandingly simple and user friendly has disappeared. The makers have sacrificed functionality for style. PLEASE HAVE THE OPTION OF GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION!

Data lost. I have been paying for the back up - all my data has been lost and the only support is by email and they haven’t got back to me - years of data - ouch!!!!!

MM. I’ve upgraded from the lite version to the paid version and lost all the data I inserted cause the 2 versions don’t read data from each other.

Fabulous app - the best in its category!. Brilliantly easy to use with impressive reports. I enter everything from my daily coffee to expensive items, all in categories customised by me to fit my exact needs. Entries take only seconds and the set-up is painless too. I wish it had a function where I could merge my data with my partner's so as to make our family budgeting even better but apparently they are working on this (I emailed them about this and had a response within a day - great support).

Mostly good but needs cloud. I have been tracking every cent of my expenses for more than 2 years with this app and only have a few minor complaints. Firstly, exporting data to PC is now a bit of a chore because I have so many receipts. The backup file was so big it kept crashing during export so I had to workaround this by copying the database file and images manually and use 3rd party software to export to Excel. This app would be 5 stars and close to perfect if I could store data in a cloud service instead and sync with my spouse on the same app. An option to use a web interface from a desktop PC would be nice too.

Receipts images imported lose resolution. Have been using for a couple of years satisfactorily but recently have found that receipt images imported from camera roll lose resolution to the point that they are unreadable and useless as a record.

Ixpenselt is the pick of the bunch. I looked long & hard at all these kinds of financial apps. This was the only 'lite' version I downloaded & it wasn't long before I bought the full app. No regrets. Excellent, fully featured and east to learn.  This app is especially good if you tend to put off doing bookwork. Setting a reminder alarm for each day is annoying enough to prompt the procrastinator. Reminding myself that doing a little each day is easier than catching up on weeks/months of bookwork. The scanner is a really great idea that actually works. 

Great app!. I’ve been using this app since 2012 to record all my personal cashflows. Very informative. Great app!

Good stuff!. Great app, though just a few suggestions that would make it even better: - The option to have tranactions repeat quarterly. It's really annoying that I can't put in bills like council rates/gas/electricity that come in every three months. - The option to edit the names of categories or delete some of the default ones. So for example being able to change the default category name from 'gasoline' to 'petrol', etc. - The backup/restore doesn't seem to work. - There is a serious lag problem when typing information into a transaction, would be great if this could be fixed in the next update. Other than that, a great budgeting tool!

Great App, but.... This is really a useful tool, which I use when traveling. If you buy the PDF report package, you can some nice reports. I bought the whole lot. Draw Backs You cannot print the GST/VAT on the same report as the expenses. When I asked the developer, I was told to print the separate GST/VAT report. Now most companies will not want to take two reports with multiple transactions and try to link transaction GST with that on another report. Completely impractical. When I asked for the GST column to be added in the report, I received a non committal answer which basically suggests that it will not be done in the near feature. Adding a column, go figure.

We should be able to generate reports for search results. I use the comments box of every transaction for tagging purposes. For example, when I travelled to Canada, every travel expense with a comment “Canada 2019” are related to the trip. I’m able to search for all these expenses if I type “Canada 2019” in the search box. However, I can’t generate a report and print the search result. It would be great if we could generate reports from the search. This is the only missing feature I can think of. Besides that, it’s the app I use the most, for many many years. The support team is also very responsive. Keep up with the excellent work!!!

Have been using it for 2 months now and very happy. However there is room for improvement. For example: 1) you can't share with another phone (ie my husband) 2) can't export in .CSV or HTML (even though it says in the blurb that it does), all export is done in .fyi which I can't convert without buying other programs, so no back up possible. 3) the keylists are not fully customisable as mentioned - for example I cannot remove the "vendor" category from each new transaction (which I don't want) 4) the online user guides and video tutorials are great but are for version 4.3 and therefore many of the "screen shots" and menus are different to what I have in 4.8 and I can't do some of the things they do.

IXpenseIt pro. Great program used for years. Anytime there’s a problem the team always review and fix.

The best. Have tried other apps but none as good as this one. Relatively easy to handle and very hard to make mistakes. In case help is needed support is great.

Update crashed. I was very happy with the app until I updated the latest version and the whole app has crashed. I have lost all of my figures. I’ve contacted the administration for help and nobody has responded to my request

Banner changed to light grey on vrsn 9.5.3. Upgraded to vrsn 9.5.3 and now the banner line showing today, calendar and arrows has changed to light grey and is impossible to see the writing. Have searched through all the settings and can find no where to change it back to original colour

Indispensable tracking/budgeting, would like a little more eyecandy. After first trying some of the flashier finance tracking/budgeting apps available on the platform, we found this one and realised it was head and shoulders above the rest. The two-level, customisable categorisation system is excellent, as well as the clearly visible daily average. One feature we couldn't live without, as travellers, is the currency conversion, which is smooth and easy to use for every transaction we enter. This app has allowed us to plan our continuing long-term Europe/UK travels and keep a firm handle on our finances as we go. The only thing I could ask for is some more attention to detail with the app's interface design and icon, which makes me wince a little every time I use it. However grievous, though, the cosmetic shortcomings are easily forgiven in light of the unsurpassed functionality. Great work.

The app gets better and better! Great developer support. I have used this app for a long time now (since 2009), and I must say, iXpenseIt is one of the better apps out there. The developer keeps updating the app with useful features, such as with the recent autocomplete feature when typing a vendor's name (the app pops up an autocomplete bubble), as well as the wider field autocomplete after typing in the vendor. Combine this constant improvement of the app with the excellent customer support, and you have a winner of an app - iXpenseIt! There have been rough patches here and there (*cough* version 3.0.2 *cough*), but the devs are quick to post an update fixing the bugs. I popped them an email and they were quick to respond. I do wish that they preserve some photo receipts in the full iPhone 4 camera resolution. Perhaps an option can set so that text-based receipts are kept in full resolution, while the additional photos of the item purchased can be in the lower resolution. All in all, iXpenseIt is undoubtedly a great app that is well maintained by the developers, and deserves a 5 star rating. I look forward to continued updates!

Excellent finance app. This is an excellent finance app. The implementation is well thought of. Accounts are shown vertically and shows the beginning and ending balance of the period. The dashboard shows the recent transactions and gives information on upcoming transactions. It is easy to put on recurring entries. This is best of the financial apps out there. The only downside is the manual backup without the subscription. I wish there is an option to backup to iCloud, google drive, or dropbox as well as cross platform compatibility.

Still the best!!. Been using this app for 8 years now. Have saved lots of money. Takes a bit of discipline and troubleshooting but this app will literally track all your expenses and help you uncover unnecessary expenses. The charts could use some innovating but otherwise no complaints. Extremely satisfied with this app. I don’t even search for new ones there’s no point. Tried Mint for a while but that was invasive as you had to disclose login credentials for all your accounts and still had to track your cash transactions. Obviously. Mint lacks the flexibility to track investment accounts etc. Still had to reference other spreadsheets etc to get a full financial picture. Everything can be modelled using iXpenseIt.

$1.00cad bug fixed- good job!. Program now sum correctly and I would now like the option to sum CAD and USD at same time. Data opens into MoneyWell ("MW") desktop mac app but it's format is not easily useable as extra fields are listed above and categories dont match, could use QIF and OFX. Email and wifi sync at least work well. I started with My Budget app for free, till I realized you need leopard to get the data out, source code was also $50. Then I bought ixpenseit out for $5, It's easier to add items from the past and to also email the spreadsheet of data to yourself, but the data still does not work well with Canadian banks/tax season or my accounting desktop app without spending a bunch of time trying to alter the file to export right. Canadian banks use proprietary formats for data export like QIF and OFX, something a spreadsheet cant touch even when looking for conversion programs. Quicken which came with my Mac mini never opened data from my Canadian bank. SplashMoney its very expensive because it offered a desktop application and could import thousands of hours of data right from a Canadian bank, but the desktop app locked up solid setting categories and couldnt be re-installed, cant export without turning off firewall. I use TD Bank, Waterhouse for my stocks, PC Financial, CIBC and PayPal and was able to get QuickBank ($2) to work with those Canadian Banks. Bought MoneyWell ($40) for a desktop and found that "QB" was the easiest to setup. I can download my data from Canadian bank into "MW" and on the go I can use "QB" for entering data. I just had to set the categories the same in "MW" and "QB" and then the data moves over without a glitch! I dont have to do a thing...it was like the two programs were made for each other. So now I finally have a solution that isnt manual typing, nually, yet allows me to enter things on the go and compare it against what my financial institution shows. For once I'm finally organized.

Good app but low support. I am using this app for almost 3 years. It is doing what I need. BUT recently I am facing too many crashes. Contact the developer ask me for crash report, sent to him many times, no response and no solution! Also you can not do backup if your data have images attached Hope they can fix it so I can still use it

Wow!. This app was excellent BEFORE the most recent update. Now it's absolutely amazing. With the new budget feature, I can finally get rid of the other app I was using! Love it!

Great app.. Of the several expense apps that I have tried, I like this one the best. I gave the pdf printouts to my accountant, and he was very pleased with the presentation. Saved me a few dollars on his bill. :) The updates have made a good app even better. If you enter you income and expenses as they happen, you don't have much to do for term end. And it takes only seconds to enter a transaction. Only once did I need to ask a question of the developer. They responded within hours answering my question and more. I am really happy with this app and its developer.

Don't update!. The developers aren't kidding when they say you should check out the new design before updating. The update has rendered the app useless for my purposes. Without a quick and easy view of my monthly balance I can't use it to closely monitor my spending habits. I've actually gone and downloaded the lite version to get it back. Ugh.

Best expense app in App Store. I’ve been using it more than 8 years and love it. Always up to date. Love the user interface.

Update Horrendous!!!. I've used this app since 2011. It worked great! Five stars at the time. Since the October 2016 update, it's terrible. No longer easy to use, difficult navigation and I can't easily access account balances. After the conversion or update, my accounts for the first time do not balance. Please revert back to original layout and function.

Horrible. The new face of the design is nice however the new interface is horrible. Entering transactions are much harder. I do not like the date selection. I prefer the calandre view. The older version was a lot easier to use. Please change the calendar back

Missing Transfer Option. Tried support page, error. Has the option to transfer between accounts been removed, I’ve doing that for 5+ years and as recently as this month, but seems to not be an option, or I’m having a massive brain fart.

Cannot customize vendors/categories/subcategories. Only possible after you enter a transaction. And only then categories/subcategories but not vendors. Very clumsy! Will like to add new vendors, categories and subcategories independent of transactions. Overall not impressed. Needs a lot more work. Clean interface though.

Getting tired of receipts not backing up. Need to back up my receipts. Haven’t been able to do it for months. Still getting charged the monthly feee. Now apparently the email function to support is not working

Best app I use. I have been using this app for probably close to 10 years and I would never change. Clearly the best in design, organization, and features, I use it to keep track of my spending across all accounts. Even when in Japan I created an account to keep track of how much money I had left, it helps you a lot when you have a strict budget. Thank you Devs for creating this awesome app.

DO NOT UPDATE TO 3.0. The Budget no longer updates future payments.. You have to go to the day of the future expense to find out your running total or Budget.

Boldly Go Where No App. Has Gone Before!. This is it! Forget trying the app that iTunes recently recommended! If you are looking for an Expense App that works extremely well whether you are in the air or on the ground, employed or self-employed - this is it! You can make it go deep, or use it casually. The thing that rings my bell in comparison is the view of the "future" between the different app builders. These people for instance are building not only an "Expense Recorder", but have given us a tool that we can review how we are doing with reports! They have the insight not only to make a now extremely sound platform - but the updates will not only pack the beauty and ease of the latest rivals - but they have promised to look at building the foundation even more. A rumoured option might include tracking various incomes of suggested suppliers. This will be great as we can see where the coffee and donuts are paying off! Not only can you use different currencies, but they might include different international measurements (miles for the US / Kilometers for the other 90%) by the next update. Be sure to read the forums of the others before you waste your time and money. Others have said they wish to keep their product confined to just being an Expense Recorder. The others feel they do not want to be a "Financial Software". I agree, I do not want to download my banking. Saying that, on the other hand, I am proud to find a product that is opened minded to look at what we need - now and in the future!

New, updated version is HORRIBLE. I originally rated this app 5 stars YEARS ago and have been happily using it daily until the updated version. The update is absolutely dreadful. It is not user-friendly and takes longer to enter in expenses (previous version had short cuts). Previous version showed daily balance (update doesn't). Previous version showed monthly categories of spending with the touch of a button (update now only shows annual spending and is a huge process to set up monthly expenditures). This version now only allows you to see upcoming expenses for 30 days. I will never use the update it is that terrible. I am now at a loss, as I was so used to using this app daily! Why would you change the entire app and call it an update?? If zero stars were an option I would have rated lower.

OMG the new version is horrible. I have been using this app religiously for over 5 years and was a 5 star, very sad that it has dropped to 0 stars. I really do not like the new interface. Please revert me to the old version cuz as it stands I cannot use it anymore.

Ixpenseit. This is one of the most useful apps I've ever installed on my iPhone . I heartily recommend it to everyone who wants to keep a close tab on their expenses. I couldn't live without it.

Reporting needs improvement. Great app and easy to use but need better reporting functionality, like trend lines to be able to compare category totals month to month

New version isn't great. It looks good, but sucks! I like seeing my current day right when the app opens up...seeing what I've spent, what income I've got and how much is in my account at that point as well as how much I've spent in the last month. A cleaner look is nice, but don't frig around with the way things work!

What happened???. What happened to the app? I’ve been using this for 10 years and suddenly all my stuff just got wiped.

A game changer!. If you have any type of business this is a MUST to have! Simplifies the workload, keeps everything tidy and has a LOT of power! I’ve been using this app for so many years it has become part of my daily routine even more than e-mails, text messaging or Office. The flexibility of yearly or monthly fees has been a plus for me as well.

Still slow and dumb. Vendor searches are on the dumb AI side. Continues to do a full keyword search on every entry making it ridiculously slow. Adding new vendors is the only way to stop dumb entries, and even then, it has dumb options of changing all transactions. It even clearly states 0 or edit transaction. It's a new transaction? Budgets are broken. Have more than one that sequential? Nope, can't figure it out.only the first one works. So range X1 to X22, next budget you would think would be from X23 to X45, but nope. It does X45 to X45. Totally incompetent at rolling over budgets properly. Quite sad. It's only good enough to track transactions. Too much time focusing on adding functionality when the core purpose of tracking budgets is broken. I would not recommend this product. A budget app at the very least, must track budget over a CONSECUTIVE range of time. Not chopped up over whatever it decides.

Decent app. Makes it simple to track personal or business expenses or both. Photo reciept option is great. Would like to see ability to modify 'type' list. Way too many exist. Also would be nice to export data in excel format rather than just email.

Super good. I tried 3-4 other expensive apps first because this one is ugly, but this one is by far the best.

So far so good.... I'm really digging this app. One of the main things I was hoping that would make an appearance on the iPhone. As far as the other person mentioned about there being too many Types, I think he meant 'Categories'. There's is a bunch of standard ones, but they're easily editable (just swipe across the existing one and the remove icon appears) I'd also really like to see this export as Excel format to make it most usable. Definitely worth the 5 bucks if it can help me keep organized.

The best available. I've been using this app for two months now. I use it many times a day. It does what it promises. And with the new update with budgeting, it's near perfect. I'd love to be able to keep track of my unfixed income as well. Shouldn't be too tough to include in the next update.

All my data gone today. Everything had been perfect for years until today when I found out all my data is gone.

Very easy to use. This app has been a great help in determining an accurate idea of where I spend money. The features are all useful and aren't gimmicky. On top of that there are regular updates (every 2 weeks or so) and they often introduce key upgrades. Also great use of customer input!

Mr. Book. After updating today I find your app completely unusuable. It lacks all signs of your previously intuitive interface and instead of allowing ease of tracking daily and monthly expenses. It instead summarizes ALL my past expenses for the past five years and continually vomits various summary bar graphs in my face. Completely unusable, with the bonus of now hiding all my discrete previous data from me. I find the lite version is still fantastic 5/5. Too bad 5 years of data are on the full updated version, you twats!

Used to be 5 stars. This app used to be amazing, used it every day for years. The update however is awful, you can no longer see your daily balance and plan your month/year ahead. I would put my monthly bills in ahead of time and each day I would enter expenses and could see my current balance as well as skip ahead a couple of days to see how much I would have in a week or two. Now it shows weekly or monthly and I cannot budget how I did before. I'm trying to find something to compare to the old version but no luck yet, may have to go back to budgeting on paper :(

Something breaks on every update. As of this morning I cannot add expenses or income, it takes all of the information but when you save nothing happens, frustrating 09/20...well they wrecked the app again on the update, do they test these updates?? 10/20-ughhh now my budget won’t calculate rollover again...I love this app, IF they would quit messing it up!!!!!!!!

Lost all my data when I switched phones. Switched to iPhone XR and between phone switch and iexpense update all my data is gone, going back several years.

Its great, almost!. This is a really good app. I have little to complain about. For those who own the iphone you can take pictures of your recipt for each expense. You CAN set budgets for different categories and see how much you spend in each one. however you have to look into the detailed budget each time you want to see and it is not readily shown. The one grip someone else said was you can't add money. which is not true. You can, infact i do it all the time. Just make another expense and hit the +/- button. The expense will show up in ( ) which means it is a positive addition. the budget will even take it into account. Trust me give it a shot if you have the app already. i love it. Sure it can't do everything under the sun but it does nearly everything and is great for 99% of the people who are looking for this kind of app. I have no idea how grammaticaly correct this all was but it is late for me and i wanted to let people know because some of the reviews are wrong. If you think i'm wrong download the lite version and try adding money to a budget and stuff. give it a whirl. Its not a simple budget app like spend but i like the extra features and once you sit and play with it ixpenseit is really not confusing at all. I hope this all helped for all it's bad form.

Ok, I was very skeptical, because of SO MANY expense apps, but.... After using this for one day, I have to say I'm semi-blown away ("semi" because I only have one day of reference... but a day with a lot of expense activity). I have desperately needed to start addressing and tracking my expenses because I am almost criminally irresponsible when it comes to spending money. I looked at several other apps, and downloaded them to my iPhone in order to do a comparison over a week or so... this app wipes the floor with them. First: the interface and interaction design is obviously thoroughly thought-through and really deserves almost an A+ in terms of its intuitive assumptions about how a person will most likely use such an app. Starting from what you want to do first when (and I might add, this is not true of other expense apps) QUICKLY and INTUITIVELY customize titles, categories, sub-categories, etc., on the fly... all the way to reviewing ongoing budget, seeing what you're spending money on (if you have the stomach for seeing how much money you spend every day) and tweaking entries based on things you decide/need to change later... this is the BEST app for expenses by far. I just hope that the dudes at FYI Mobileware don't get their egos too swollen with the success of this, and lose the edge and constant improvement ongoing that will be critical to keeping this as good as it is now. SO: Mobileware... don't drop the ball. This is one hell of a ball.

Great app and developer. This app is great! I really like that it is very quick. You don't have to manually type in anything except for the price. Of course you have to type in the vendor if you want to add that field, but once you type "Target" once, it is always there. The graphs are great too! It gives you a quick rundown on all your spending. The reason I bought this app was becasue of the developer. I always read the reviews and look for requests. Then, if there is already an update, I read what was updated. The developer added almost all the requested features in just one update! He/she is paying attention to what everybody wants. Very very good! One thing I would like, which is what other people have said, so I'm sure it's being worked on, is the ability to input income. That's pretty much it. Other than that, this is a great app and I suggest anyone who wants to keep track of their spending should get this. Thank you and keep it up!

Fantastic App. The most useful one on my iphone!. This app is by far the best financial app I've come across. There is a bit of a learning curve but once mastered, it is an indispensable tool for my finances. It does require you to manually enter transactions, deposits, and transfers. I find this useful and keeps me fully engaged in my finances. The receipt picture tool is awesome too for submitting expense reports. It generates beautiful expense reports that can be printed or emailed. (There is an additional fee for this feature though.) I read a couple of reviews that said that you can't edit sub categories and add your own, this is not true! It is very easy to fully customize this app to your needs. It does come loaded with default categories, but they can be easily modified. My only recommendation for this app is allow users to buy it for other devices and sync them across. This would be very helpful, since my wife and I use many of the same accounts. Once again, a really great app. Highly recommended.

Well done and Great Update. Very well done I bought this app and thought it was great and then version 2 came out and it got better. Great expense software with great reporting included. The interface is clean, nice looking and very easy to use. I would love to see the ability to run multiple budgets by type such as one for business expenses and one for personal and so on. I'd give it more stars if I could. If you are expense tracking you need this software as a small business owner this app has helped me greatly already. Update: This update is to give a 5 star rating again all the updates have been great. To those who have given the low ratings because of "no deposits or wanting to change the amounts" I personally thought the whole point of a budget was to stay within a set amount of money and track what your spending on to help you stay with in your budget and that is what this software does. Awesome job love this app great app and very professional look.

Great presentation, very useful app, but missing some core features. This app is definately a winner, and is the best I could find for managing my expenses on the go. It is very well designed and looks like a native app. However, there are some core features that seriously need work asap: 1) Export of the receipt images is essential - taking photos is pointless without this feature. I emailed support and they have said that they're working on it - this seems to be partly Apple's fault (for not allowing email attachements). 2) Automatic syncing with an online account or my computer needs to be added - I want to be able to see my expenses anywhere. They should take advantage of the new background push functionality that's coming soon. Also, I was curious as to whether or not there's a way to have a customized iPhone keypad for cetain entry fields - for example, when entering a $ amount, is it possible for a programmer to show a numeric-only keypad (with a decimal place key, but without all the other unnecessary symbols). (At the moment they have defaulted to the iPhone's number and symbol keypad when on the $ amount field, which is good - I was just curious about making it even better - larger numbers would be very helpful for speedy entry.) And finally - just a minor note to the developers - everything is so well designed EXCEPT, I'd say, the home screen... the splash screen and the initial two buttons are the only pieces that don't "look and feel" like a native app.

Love this app, can't wait for an update (I hope). I am loving this application, presentation is nice and feels like a built in app, the ease of input and multiple ways to view your spending is awesome; however I do have a few gripes that I hope could be fixed in an update. My large gripe is that there is no way to set an actual budget for a category by the week or per month, which is my main reason for using a finance application. Alotting a certain amount of money per activity per week or month for bills is key. It would be great to incoporate that and then be able to to see how much is left for the month in that budget, etc. On a more minor note, when on the main page viewing your transaction list it would be nice to see the vendor on the left instead of just the category, or even both, maybe an option to choose how thats displayed, maybe vendor main and category sub-dominate below? I am going to continue to use this app in hopes for an update but in the long wrong I may have to switch to get what I need.

The best. Many features and easy to learn and use

A good app for day to day expenses..... Originally, I was using Excel to do this, then I tried Quicken, but that was too much. The problem I also had with using Excel was that it was on my laptop. Here, my expense capture is on my phone, which is with me daily, making it easy to capture what I'm spending where. The convenience really increases the accuracy of my expenditures. One thing I would like to see (and maybe it's present, I just haven't seen it) but edit existing names for categories. It seems permanent, so watch your spelling when you first make it. Also defining the cost tree (major and minor categories) should be done up front. This is a bit nitpicky, but having more graphics to choose from. Also, it would be nice to have a bit more control over reporting, although, as I write that, I've only run into that maybe two times, and I'm forgetting specifically what that was, so nix that. It's a good program. Be sure to set your preference on the program to already launch the amount paid when making a new expense, so you save that one click on price or cost, or whatever the field is. Nice program to get a good idea of where your money's going if your thoughtful enough to enter it each time you spend.

No Support. They don’t have any phone number to call for phone support. He email him you don’t get a response for 24 hours even on replies and when the answering em emails, they don’t answer all your questions

Move over quickbooks. I was surprised with the absolute customization of this bookkeeping app. I can build category and sub-categories and subterranean categories. The ability to build custom reports and have it show me very specific things about my business is perfect. No monthly fees is a big plus. I love this app. Never crashes and it’s perfect in my eyes. Thanks.

Cannot restore backup from email. Years ago you could restore from a backup file (.ix extension) created from the app. It appears that is no longer possible and years of my financial data is now gone.

Still crashes after 4 daily bug fix app updates. Used to be a great app, the developer became incompetent. For the past 4 days in a row, there has been a bug fix app update every day, but every update introduced even more bugs and app crashes.

The BEST expense app for the iPhone. I use this app EVERY DAY!! Been using it ever since it came out. Nice features to pull up how much you've spent at Starbucks (too much), so you can cut back. You can export a complete year's worth of expenses to your computer on a spreadsheet & keep up with your taxes. Syncs with my iPad. GET THIS APP!! Terminator

Confused. I like this app however since installing it reads EVERYTHING I type. I have shut off the volume in the app; I have shut off the volume on my tablet and STILL it speaks to me. This is SO annoying. How do I stop this?

Good, but needs improvements found in other apps. As far as organization goes, this is the best one I've found so far (3rd budget app purchase). I love being able to do categories and sub-categories (with icons too), and it has all these labels such as vendor, type of payment, etc.. The bar/pie graphs on spending habits are amazing. It's something you would find in a desktop program. Based on your entry fields, you can customize graphs to display category spending, what stores you shop at, which credit cards you use...it's endless! But...TWO main things I'm hoping will show up in the updates: 1. It's lacking a proper income tracker. Right now you have to set it up as a category and it tracks as an expense, which is not helpful. You have to exclude it from graph results in order to get an accurate picture of spending. So most of all - PLEASE add a separate way to track income so it shows an actual balance!!!! 2. Though it has excellent export options, there needs to be a good way to back up. Right now it backs up via iTunes, but I've had trouble properly restoring an iTunes backup in the past, and its not too reliable. There should be some kind of sync feature that backs up to the web so you can restore it from the web in case you lose all your info (or a way to import backed-up files from your desktop). Just something other than iTunes So please add these features!!!! Otherwise, great app

Great budget app. Love: icons for each category; flexibility for creating different budget types (simple, custom,...etc.); you can export reports via email (there is like a .99 charge initially to be able to do this); very user friendly (once you get past setting up your budget); searchable transactions. Some issues: I found the top bar a little confusing to read at first (cash flow, rollover, balance); when I set up reoccurring income transactions, they wouldn't consistently land on the first of the month (as designated); when I select the vendor for a new transaction, categories from previous transactions (that are associated with this vendor) pop up---this is clever, except when it doesn't fit any of those categories, in which case I have to initially select the wrong category, then change it; lastly, there is no corresponding software to sync with the computer. I also haven't figured out how to get this on my husband's phone so he can enter his own transactions (instead of handing me a huge pile of receipts). We have different iTunes accounts, so I think that's why we couldn't get it to work. Overall, great app. Fits my needs. There is probably a lot more you can do with it if you take the time to explore it.

Recurring transactions need work. Can we please get the option to mark a recurring transaction as paid?

Now useless!. This was a great app until the update and now the app is completely useless for my office for many reasons. We have probably 50 or more people in my office that use this with our finance office for keeping track of records and now because of changes and restrictions with the upgrade the app is not suitable to be used so we will have to look for another vendor. There was absolutely no reason for the radical changes. This app is now more difficult to use and has limits. There is nothing that has been changed that is a positive improvement. Absolutely nothing! The ability to create, and retrieve reports is much more difficult than previous. I've been told by the company that they been working to fix some bugs in the thick of have an update. They should've never been launched with the bugs. I did not upgrade the app, it was forced on me automatically. Examples of issues are the resolution of photos which are now so poor quality they cannot be used for accounting purposes for a PDF report. It's difficult to work with the calendar and impossible to easily go back and look at certain dates and move entries around. The app ask for a mileage rate but does not calculate mileage, though I've told that's a bug that will be fixed. Again, this was a great app and ALL of the attempted improvements have been a disaster. I've written to the support people of this app asking them to reinstate the former app but they say they won't.

This App works great. No need to look any further.. First time giving a review but I felt it was necessary. This app leaves nothing to be desired. It is easy to use, totally comprehensive for my needs, and priced right. Backing up is amazingly easy, and the export feature worked like a charm. The developer gives you 50 items to input to make sure that you are comfortable using the program, which is the main reason I tried the lite version of the progam first, because with the 5-7 entries that most programs give you, there is no way to know how the program really works. Lots of reporting options and easy to sort and understand. Only thing I would change at this point is to have the ability to edit the user input information, such as vendors and additional categories. If you misspell or want to make a change, you have to add a new category, edit the original entries to put it into the new category and then erase the old category. A small thing, I know, but thought I would mention it. This is an example of what the iPhone can do. DON'T think about it. If you want to know where you are spending your hard earned money, get this program.

This Could Have Been the Best App I Purchased If It Could Only Deposit. This application seemed to have everything broken down in an intuitive way. There were lots of useful subcategories, it was easy to search past purchases, I could make notations on specific purchases, all great features. However the budget idea seems flawed in that it is highly unlikely (for me at least) that your budget is a consistent amount every day, week, month etc. Certain variables come in where you may have more or less to spend in which case the ability to add a deposit is absolutely crucial. You can do a pseudo deposit by keying in an amount as negative however it totally throws off all of the expenses by lumping the deposit and expenses in one giant group and making it appear as if your daily expenses are all a positive amount. With all of the features that this application has it seems like making a simple deposit feature would be incredibly basic. Perhaps I would be better off just using online banking to track my expenses but there are definitely instances where I use cash or a credit card and I would prefer to lump that as one giant monthly budget which this app unfortunately makes it impossible to do. I seriously hope a deposit feature is made or I likely won't use the application again.

The Best Expense Tracking App By Far!. This app allows me to conveniently track all my expenses, with practical and customizable categories, balance income vs expense for any given time frame, and export to a number of media formats. I downloaded 5 "expense account" apps and this is the winner hands down. It offers auto fill for common purchases, as well as reviewing expenses by vendor, payment type (savings, checking, cash, credit, or any other type you want to enter in) as well as categorization by personal, business, or for me, keeping track of how much I spend on dating or on gifts, entertainment, etc! Great app! I bought the full version, and this allows more options for exporting your info to different media formats. I used to enter all my expenses into Excel to keep track of where my money is going, which led to a seemingly infinite amount of columns and no way to calculate totals without entering annoying Excel formulas. This app is on my front page and if you are looking to track, budget, or manage your expenses, it will be on your front page of apps too!

Excellent. Very comprehensive and fast to input transactions. The reports are awesome. You can email yourself a PDF of just about any report you can imagine, from all categories to just one. I love that it came pre-loaded with many categories to get me started. I didn't have to customize it much at all. If you input a vendor's name it remembers categories associated with that vendor from previous transactions and shows you a list of previous choices from which to choose for your new transaction, (making it very quick to add new transactions once you have used it for a little while). I bought a few other similar Apps to try out, but liked this the best. This one was more comprehensive, came preloaded with more categories, had the most useful reports and was the fastest, or at least as fast as the best one of the other apps I tried. The only thing I don't like is the way you have to enter the cost of something. I would rather enter the period for the cents myself, instead you have to enter all the numbers including the cents. For example, to enter $5.00 even you have to enter 500, and the app automatically puts the period in for the cents. I would rather just enter the period for the cents myself. There should be a setting to change that behavior if you want.

The best out there... period.. Hey all, This application can import bank records from your bank (via cvs which is simple and very easy to follow), can categorize expenses perfectly, can import receipts (a functionality that most desktop financial programs do in a terrible fashion, so its not a given feature), and much more. With this I can examine my expenses, view my budget if I have one, export reports in various methods (html, csv, pdf and more, again, not a given with financial programs out there). inputting info is fast and easy, even manually, and the report are accurate. Considering that before this program I had to actually build a filemaker program that with incorporate all this functionality seamlessly and beautifully, and considering that I have almost but stopped using my OWN design for this program, I can definitely say that not only is the price a steal and the functionality priceless, but these guys continuously upgrade the system to offer a more wide variety of options and better tools. Its a no brainer, thanks guys for the this software, I can't tell you how amazing it is to have this on a portable device.

No support. App used to work great, but my phone app and iPad app no longer communicate. Also the auto cropping feature for photographing receipts is inefficient.
