this or WeatherBug. UPDATE - forgot to mention MyWeatherMobile - great UI. tough choice between the 3. everyone's needs vary. i've tried WeatherBug, Accuweather, Weather Channel, MegaWeather, DeluxeWareWeather, MyWeather Mobile, Fizz Weather, you get the idea. for me, especially since the accuracy of ANY of these is occasionally if not regularly dubious, i like WeatherBug and Fizz Weather's ability to display various NWS weather reporting stations data. Also I like sunrise/sunset info (give the nod to Fizz there), a clean UI, not too many bells and whistles. given that criteria, either of these two weather apps is truly outstanding.

Good App for folks who want more info than the I Phones preloaded weather icon. If you want a little more data than you get with the I Phone this app is worth the $5. Provides temp, 2/5 day forecasts, wind speed, precipitation, comfort level, humidity, visibility, UV level, stationary satellite and radar and airport conditions. I had major problems with Weatherbug not being able to recognize my location or accept a forced zip code--all I could get was weather in Cupertino, CA and I live in NYC. For those of you who may have had problems getting centigrade/fahrenheit, km/mph--hit the small info button in the lower right hand corner and you'll be able to toggle between the two measurements.

Good with the bad. I bought this weather app for the satelite view so I know when I can go observing with my telescope. In this respect, the app does what it says but the updated maps are lagging by over 1.5 hrs. So minus 1star for that. Other apps update faster but don't supply animated sat maps. Lost another star for map bugs in zooming and lack of more detailed localized maps. Will be worth the price when these are fix/updated. The rest of the weather info is solid with friendly UI.

go back. this used to be the best weather app out there... with a simple, easy, readable, user interface.. Now (IMO) to get what I want to see off of it is like solving a rubiks cube with a magnifying glass! Go back a couple of revs.. like a year or so ago, and leave the best alone.. every time this gets upgraded it gets less usable. I know it is always my option to upgrade or not, and by now I should have learned the simple truth.. if it's working, just leave it alone. At one time I was sure I would never be interested in another weather app... now I am looking sorry, hallmark

Best Weather App - HANDS DOWN!. Very accurate forecasts for Pittsburgh but thats not where this app shines. The interface is easily the best of all weather apps hands down. It hard to quantify, but I want an app that gives me the current forecast and the next five days on one screen. Additional details are available if I need them. Unfortunately I have more weather apps than I care to admit but this will be my last. It has everything I want in a slick, responsive interface. A little pricey for a weather app but well worth it.

Up 2 Date!. I've been going all around a lot of free/paid weather applications for the last week, comparing and checking their accuracy, and from among 7 Applications, Fizz was the choice. It is very accurate "although it is not common to find an accurate forecasting site/application for where I live" and it is always up to date with the current conditions, note that, some other applications used to update but not getting the right information. Fizz is the best among those in accuracy and stability. Accuweather's app had a very interesting "Risks" tab and also the "Alarm" tab would be glad to find a similar concept in Fizz, but even though, it's not really enough to deduct a star. It is still perfect as it is. Good work :-) Keep it up.

Not worth it...GPS useless. Although this app is beautiful, I am frustrated because it is definitely not worth $6. I live in an area where weather can be completely different less than 10 miles away. The selling point was the GPS location based weather. But this is useless since you can only use it in the "add cities" settings screen. For that I can enter the city I'm in manually. It should allow you to press a button from the main screen and get the weather for wherever you are temporarily. Also the maps are excellent but extremely slow to load. And the google link tales you to the Maps app to a completely arbitrary location. Don't see the point of this at all. My free weather apps are better and the only reason I'm keeping this one us cause it cost $6! The useless GPS feature combined with the high price gives it a 2 star rating.

Best weather app. No doubt the best weather app in the store, and well worth the price. The interface is not only attractive but highly functional, and leads to multiple views (now, 2-day, 5-day, airport, maps). You can predesignate quite a large number of cities (10-12). My only suggestion would be greater specificity with the maps; they cover far too broad a region to be very useful. But I expect that's coming with the next update. Fine job!

Great App. I wasn't sure why I wanted to spend $5 for a weather app, but I'm glad I did. This one is classic Mac Software; Beautiful, Intuitive, and Near Flawless. Even over Edge, things load pretty quickly (at least as fast as the default iPhone weather widget), and things are even better over Wi-Fi and 3G. And best of all, the developer has a clear road map for where he wants to take this App. It's only getting better from here.

Splash screen.... What gives?. Great app. I've had it since version 1.0. HOWEVER, what's up with that annoying SPLASH SCREEN in version 1.4?? You guys NEED to get rid of this. Why should I have to wait for the advertisement every time I want to see the weather. I already paid for the app. I know who you guys are. If you don't get rid of the splash screen, I WILL get rid of this app. UPDATE: I sent a similar note to the developers. They responded quickly and said they will be removing the splash screen. How's that for customer service? Thanks Fizz Software! I'll change my 3 stars to 4 and then to 5 when the change happens!

Excellent. Living in Houston, the humidity level is always on people's minds (almost as much as the temperature). The other weather applications for the iPhone do not include information regarding humidity but Fizz Weather does. Even myWeather, a $15 application, doesn't track humidity! I won't list all the features since you can get that elsewhere, but I cannot think of anything this application lacks.

not the best, inaccurate. This weather app isn't the best one out there. The data is inaccurate, especially the chance of precipitation. If The Weather Channel says 90% chance of rain, this might say 20%. Also, it needs more weather icons. I don't know if the rain icon means showers or heavy rain. Same for the snow icons. Snow showers, or a snowstorm. Couldn't find it's source of info, ethier. Go for the MyWeather Mobile. It's only $4 more (on sale), and my local news channel gets it's data from them.

About time..?. All I can say is it about time it was updated because the last one was when the iPhone 5 was launched. It was not working on my iPhone SE and only working on my iPhone 4S. So, what took you so long Developer(s)?!

Very Good App. I have tried most, if not all, the weather apps and this one wins hands down. The interface is easy on the eyes, very professional graphics and clean. Like some have mentioned, the radar is good for regional coverage, but would like to see clearer, crisp detail when zoomed in. Minus 1 star for the radar, but can still highly recommended. You'll be hardpressed to find a more professional weather app.

Only Airports!. The biggest problem I have with Fizz Weather is that for most locations, their only reporting stations are airports. I have found so many places where the reported current weather was very wrong, and then I noticed that it was using the closest airport, which is often in a completely different climate. I don't know why Fizz does not have access to the municipal weather stations that others use.

It's Great!. The new version has great new features. I can't believe everyone is up in arms about the new splash screen. It lasts only 5 seconds! Yes, it is slightly annoying, but it isn't worth giving it 1 star. The app is great, and I'm sure the developer will do something about the splash screen now that everyone is complaining. I have downloaded all of the weather apps, and this one is the BEST!

Very nice!. Works as described but has an issue with the date, I have notified the developer, once this is fixed will be a 5 star. Weatherbug only lets you have 3 cities, so its no comparison. Worth the money and you can't expect quality apps without having to pay for them. Keep up the good work! Anything under $10 is almost free anyway.

Excellent application.. I have downloaded several weather applications, but this one is by far the best I have seen. The sheer amount of information that it provides is great. Awesome graphics, and as accurate a forecast as you will find anywhere online. I've seen a few reviews panning the recent 1.4 update, and am personally confused by this. I think that the update adds some nice features, and I also like the splash screen.

Great product!. It took me awhile to find the best weather but I decided this was the best one for the right price. I like the radar and area weather reports. I am sure the airport info will come in handy soon. One thing I would request to make this the best is to add the current temp on the 5day & 2day screen. That way you have both on one screen! Otherwise, good stuff!

Worth it. After reading the reviews, I was a bit frightened to lay down 5 bucks without trying the app, but I bit the bullet and am glad I did. The interface is smooth and easy to understand while packing much more useful information than the standard iPhone Weather app (which feels like a Mac dashboard widget, not a real app). The airport delay feature was a nice surprise. Some will complain about paying for this while there are free alternatives, but why not support the developers for creating a fantastic (and in my mind, superior) app? Your little bit of cash (come on, you spend more than this on your latté) helps further development and fuel bug fixes and future additional features.

Pretty vacant. From the beginning Fizz weather has been a very pretty app, with large glossy icons on a stylish black background. Nonetheless, I deleted the app several iterations ago in favor of the less sexy but more functional weather channel app, which has hour by hour forecasts and provides more useful information upfront. Last week I decide to re-try Fizz because my wife still uses it, and after a week I'm deleting it again. The developers have continued to add features, but the interface ISA conceptual mess. The "Now" screen also contains the five day forecast, but there is also a tab for the five day forecast. The graphs in landscape mode are cool, but I'd rather a decent implementation of hourly forecasts instead. I spend more time trying to find information than actually reading the info I want. Fizz remains the best looking weather app I've seen, but its confused interface makes less functional than most.

Pros and Cons. Pro's - • Great weather information. Well displayed and easy to understand. • Nice graphics and icons. Radar is animated and shows movement and direction of storms. There is a satellite view also. • Gives the user a lot of useful weather information. On a 3G iPhone updates load fairly quickly. • Only weather program that gives airport delay information. • Alert icon, shows special conditions, like local flooding, dry conditions, etc. Cons - • Sometimes the initial icon displayed is incorrect for the actual conditions. At 8:00 PM, it was dusk and near dark, yet the icon showed sunny and bright. Any at 8:30AM the icon still showed a night time moon. • Font used to display detailed conditions (wind speed, humidity, etc.) is too small. Could be larger, as there is some wasted space. • Radar is good for overall viewing, but not detailed to town and city level. Overall - Great piece of software. Should be on everyones iPhone. Well done and presented. Has all the weather in one program.

Nice app, but.... just bought the app. works great, but... the [Now] screen shown above is not the same screen that I have (the location display). My display shows the forcast for "1 of 8 reporting weather stations" and then the date/time underneath that. It has arrows pointing in either direction to show the weather from each of the reporting weather stations in my area. After that in smaller print it has the date/ time info again. Kind of redundant. I don't mind the option to show the forcast from multiple weather reporting stations, but I would like to have a setting to just show a default and save the screen real estate. Another desirable would be able to display the Maps (forcast, satellite, radar, google) in landscape mode.

Extremely Well Done Weather Application. This is the best implementation of a weather application yet on the iPhone. Very complete and detailed information is provided. The interface is clean and easy to use. Just add the City or cities that you want to monitor and you are set. Great for anyone, but especially travelers, pilots, sports folk, hikers, bikers, walkers, you get the idea, those who like to get outside and off the living room couch. It will be even better if they add push notification for breaking weather events. ( Apple is planning to add push notification capability for apps in September ) I hope Fizz Weather implements this feature ( HINT HINT !!! )

Six Bucks?!?!!! - It's Worth Every Penny. Six Bucks? Six Bucks?!?!!! But I already have a half dozen free weather programs, and a couple of 99¢ weather programs! Well, it turns out you do get what you pay for. Fizz Weather is by far the most useful, most polished, most powerful, and easiest to use of the lot. I recommend it HIGHLY if you want to throw away a bunch of excess baggage. For those that have commented about missing an hourly forecast display, I thought so too, but I just discovered the landscape mode does indeed have an hourly forecast display (12 or 24 hour mode). Not as pretty (or quite as useful) as I'm used to, because only one parameter at a time (like temperature, precipitation probability, wind, etc) is displayed on each landscape screen, but it is an hourly forecast with all the info you could want.

Very good, but just needs a few more tweaks. This is a very well done weather app. Great interface, smooth, and excellent data. Airport feature is nice. I have never had a problem with it crashing. The only things I would like to see them add is an hourly forecast - right now you can only see daily or current, but not what might happen 2,3,4 hours into the day like TWC app. Also, I wished home screen icon displayed temp and current condition. Other than that, strong app!

Refresh button?. This app just needs a refresh button or a setting so that it will fetch data on launch. I'm sick of it getting stumped by wifi WAPs that require authorization for Internet access. Currently it isn't smart enough to switch to edge or 3g when wifi doesn't provide Internet access. It will just blank out all the weather and make you wait 15min to refresh the data and will still make the same mistake if wifi doesn't have Internet access. Lame! It would be nice for the buttons on the bottom to have a pressed/active state. Currently they always look the same with no indication that you have swiched to that buttons mode. Please put a down state to the buttons. Lastly a quick select would be more effective than scrolling through each screen. This could be integrated with an overview view of all locations. Hope to see this soon.

Was a great app, now not-so-much. This app was really fantastic - I used it every single day. They could've left the UI alone and just upgraded it to high-rez and it would've been fine. If they can come back with a version that is like the original while also utilizing the advantages of high resolution screens, I'll be very happy. Until then, I'm going to have to find another weather app because this one has essentially been rendered useless.

Moderate disappointment. Maybe back in 2012 this was a comparatively good app but now it can't hold a candle to other weather apps. I'll probably keep using Yahoo weather. GUI seems awkward and doesn't show chance of precipitation on main info list. Also doesn't do AIr quality. And satellite images are a joke!!

Finally iPhone 5 support. I've always thought this was one of the better weather apps with tons of info available. Some of my favorite features are the prediction graphs for temperature and precipitation and the satellite maps. I also like the way everything is presented.

Ok app. At first I really liked this app over WeatherBug and the native weather app on iPhone (not there's anything wrong with the native app). But the more I used it the more I began to dislike it. The radar isn't very good, the wind speed is always wrong, and the temperature is always one degree lower than actual. As far as the wind speed, there could be no wind and this app says wind speed is around 18 mph. Even when the wind speed outside is 10, it could be around 20-30 on this app. I think that calls for a wind advisory! I really don't like that you can choose 1 of 8 weather stations. I've went back and forth with The Weather Channel and Fizz to match up what weather station was accurate. And each day the reporting stations would change in accuracy. The weather app already on iPhone was more up to date on the hour than this one. I didn't care for the graphics either. The app is always slow moving when flipping through the different locations you have set. I was always skeptical about this app, now I'm using something better. Don't waste $5.99 if you really care about true accurate weather.

Nice App... needs better maps.. This really is a nice app. I use it constantly. There is truly a lot to like about this application. However.... my pet peeve is with the radar. While the radar graphics are impressive, you can not zoom in with any accuracy. This is important, especially when severe weather is approaching. There are other programs that use google maps and over lay the doppler radar for accurate storm tracking. Come on guys... get the maps right and you have a true winner!

Clean interface, nice images, lots of details. Nice interface; clean with lots of details. Animated radar and cloud cover are nice but lack detail & the ability to zoom unlike MyWeather. City names often obscure the animations (e.g. you can't see most of the Puget Sound because the map is small and "Seattle" is typed over it in a large font). Like the airport delay info and the fact that you can select the reporting stations for each city -- nice touch. Also, you can add lesser known international cities unlike other programs. Add Moon phases and make the maps 'zoomable' and I'll change my vote to 5 stars!

my favorite weather app. I really like weather apps, and Fizz Weather, iWeather, and MyWeather all have a permanent spot on my home screen. Of them all, Fizz Weather is the best at giving a quick picture of the current weather, and the forecast, with the ability to "swipe" between locations. One request -- I'd like to leave this app running constantly when my iPhone is docked, like one of those "home weather stations". Can you add a feature to disable automatic screen locking when docked, and auto refresh every 15 minutes (or maybe a user-controlled interval)? Then I can just leave it running almost constantly! (I do that sometimes anyway with NavWeather, but it's nowhere near as pretty.)

Could be great..... but.. Yeah..... Could be great, but the radar needs some help if it's to be of any real use. Zooming in is pointless when the quality drops as bad as it does. Access to specific radars rather than just regional ones should do the trick. Give me the radar function of weather underground and you'll have a 5 star app. Really nice otherwise. ******************************** Hey Fizz, just wodering, are you guys planning to update the radar features in this app?

Good, but not nearly good enough. This app is pretty good overall but has some major shortfalls. The Good -Good screen layout. -Good flexibility regarding setting up multple cities. -Includes current conditions and 2 & 5 day forcasts. -Includes radar ad other maps. The Bad: -Cost....Overpriced for what you get. You can set up a web oage to MSN or anotehr weather page for nothing and get the same info. -No hourly forecast. Should include at least some hourly forecast information. -Wind speed is always wrong. Always shows 16-24mph winds and I go outside and the wind is barely blowing. I'm a bike rider so wind is an imporatn factor for me (and the reason I bought this app) and not having it correct makes the app almost useless to me. -Current conditions page is often not updated until you tell it to update. If you exit the app on that page one evening and then start the app in the morning it still shows the same conditions as last evening until you tap "Now" to update it. For a pay-app, I shouldn't have to tell it to update. Bottom line - The standard iPhone weather app is almost as good as this app. This app is SLIGHTLY better than the free WeatherBug app, but not by much. Save your money and wait for improvements before buying this app. I'm sure their next version will have many improvements.

Excellent app. I am very particular about my weather apps (never liked the built in weather app, no enough data; and didn't care for The Weather Channel weather app's interface) and this one has been perfect. Great interface, lots of data, nothing more I can think to want out of it

Feature-packed. I was looking for something more full-featured than the built-in weather app, and this app fits the bill. The UI could use a little less flash and a little more adherence to the Apple iPhone interface guidelines, but it's pretty well done. It would also be nice if the radar and satellite views had a zoom level more focused on the area in question, but I'm happy with the purchase. Worth it if you really like to follow the weather.

This one abides.... A classic, clean, easy design -- minimalist if you will -- that ably complements the iPhone form factor. It abides among a genre of too-much, crammed into too little space with too many tabs, scrolls, controls and views. One can liken this to the well-laid out dash of a true sports car: it easily informs of current conditions while allowing the driver to deal with the road ahead.

Much needed update!!. This weather app was decent before, but after the latest update is the best weather app I've found! The animations and retina display make this app beautiful, and the sliding menus for maps and locations is really handy and efficient. Def buy this app if you want a great looking, fast, and informative weather app!!!

Could be the best with a little improvement. A very good weather program overall. Basically aggregates much of the information that you can get with AeroWeather and WeatherBug but with a much nicer interface. With a few improvements this could be a superior application. 1. As others have commented, the maps section needs improvement. Any zooming and the picture pixellates. WeatherBug is better here because you can zoom in and view just your state and control the opacity. The animation and controls in FizzWeather are good but they really need to improve the viewing options. 2. It's great to have weather alerts but I'm presented with way too many from different reporting stations, many of which are warnings outside my area. A little bit more granularity here would go a long way. 3. While not as important as my previous points it would be nice to have option in how the date and time is displayed. Not a big fan of "6th Sept" and would like a 12-hour time option as well. UPDATE: Just want to comment on some of the reviews that criticize the accuracy of wind and temperatures. This app shows you exactly where it's getting its data from if you look at the current day stats. You can then swipe to choose the data location that displays the current stats, usually from an airport station. So you have to keep in mind that the wind and temperature data is from these airport stations not from your exact location.

Favorite Weather App. I use several weather apps and web sites. Out of all of them this is my favorite and the one I go to first. I used Fizz on Windows Mobile and I delighted to see it was brought to the iPhone. This app sits on my home screen. The charts are awesome. The radar and maps are weak so I use other sites and maps for that, but the forecast and weather data in this app great.

5 Notches.. I am planing to change my Iphone for the Blackberry bold, but I don't think I will get this kind of application on the BB bold. Nothing wrong with the BB bold, I am sure it has some other interesting features. Any way, I work in a Air traffic control center, and of course, weather is a biggy for us, easy to understand in MHO, so THIS application map/satellite screen is EXACTLY waht I look all the time right in front of me at work. I know where this application is getting all this info, specially the screen listed above. I just love it! 5 NOTCHES!!! bang bang bang bang bang! There you go!

Blown away...I was simply amazed. This is even better than the Spb Weather Software I was using on my Dell Axim. The Yahoo Weather that came with the iPhone is inadequate and is one of the reasons I keep my Axim. This software is one step closer to relying on the iPhone and not having to keep a PDA with me as well. One big feature of this is its breakdown to different parts of the day and not just one forecast for the whole day. It also updates information rapidly and I still have the Edge version iPhone. Getting readings from surrounding weather stations is a big plus. I live in Houston which is a big place. Knowing the weather 20 miles north of downtown doesn't do me any good 30 miles south of it by the Johnson Space Center. I usually don't write reviews, but I couldn't resist when I got this software.

Staying tuned for more updates. With a few free options out there, I was hesitant to purchase a weather app. But after using Fizz for a few weeks I think that the app is better than others for more than just the cosmetic advantages it has over WB and TWC. I'm especially thankful for the free weather alerts while living in Minneapolis. I'm also impressed with the multi-city interface while travelling for the holidays. That said, I find the daily forecast descriptions too brief, especially in comparison to those free apps. It would be a pleasure, considering the absence of video forecasts at this time, to read a paragraph description to complement the visual forecasts as the weather changes over the morning, afternoon, and evening. I'd also like to suggest a change to the black background. While this is by far the most photogenic weather app, I wonder if it would be possible to have the color change as the day does: bright blue for an early clear morning, dark gray for thunderstorms, yellows and pinks as the sun sets. In other words, provide another visual cue for the forecast. Otherwise, looking forward to using and recommending this app to friends.

The best. As both a weather junkie & and app junkie, I have very high standards for weather apps - and this one delivers everything you could want, with great style, accuracy and depth. The new version 1.3 (released in early Feb 2009) now lets you tilt the screen sideways for forecasts with hour-by-hour detail of predicted temperatures, rainfall, etc. Kudos to the developers not only for creating a great app in the first place, but continuing to tinker with the design and making it even better. If you want to see what a really useful five-star app looks like, you couldn't do better than this. Highest recommendation.

Great app...some suggestions for improvement. First, this is a great weather app. I have several, and was skeptical of this one because of the bad reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It is loaded with data, has nice graphics, has a very responsive user interface, and provides the five-day forecast on the current conditions screen. It is a solid four star app. Now some suggestions: 1) Get rid of the splash screen. While it isn't nearly as bad as others have portrayed it to be, anything that slows down the launch of a weather app, even for a second or two, is a bad idea. 2) Improve the radar. It doesn't zoom nearly close enough to be useful at a local level, and the closest zoom that it does have doesn't have very good resolution. I have used Weather Bug Elite for quite a while now and, though I like Fizz Weather much better overall, Weather Bug's radar is exceptional for the price. 3) Combine the "Now" page and the "5-Day" page. If, on the "5-Day" page, you display the current weather when viewing the current date, and provide a small button to change reporting locations, you could eliminate the "Now" page altogether and simplify navigation. Well done on a great app. It's a five star weather app if you accomplish #1 and #2 above. If you accomplish all three, it will easily be the best weather app in the app store!

Nice UI, not very functional. Too many worthless charts, unusable map, no hourly forecast. If you want to do something with landscape mode, use it for a map you can zoom in on! Also push notifications for severe weather alerts would be nice. Fizz always makes nice looking software, but if they would just read some of these reviews and make the changes users are suggesting, they would have a brilliant product. Oh well.

OS11. Will not work on OS 11. Needs to be updated, otherwise a good program.

Yikes.... Have to agree, for once, with the peanut gallery here. The app used to be great - if, for some reason, you own the app, haven't upgraded, and are reading this, don't upgrade, or make a copy of the old version first. You'll likely hate v.2. A big portion of the main screen is reserved for a pretty picture to represent the city in question. There are three problems here: (1) if you live or frequent somewhere (generally why you'd save the location), you don't care about the picture, because you're looking at the real place now, or will be soon. (2) even if you like the feature for some reason, if you don't live in a major city, no picture for you! (3) half the screen is wasted, and the fonts displaying the info you care about are tiny, and the pictures frequently make it even harder to read (I'm in NYC, and the details unreadable except under ideal indoor conditions). On the plus side, I do like the slide-out tiles for the charts. The controls for those are clunky, but considering the other UI sins, that's survivable.

Fizz Weather Application. Thanks For the Fizz Weather Application I Really Do Appreciated Thanks So Much, from Tony Mangano

Learjet33. This app is brilliant. Plenty of unique to this app. Well worth the money.

Great app. I know it's a bit rich paying for a weather app, but this one is definitly worth it, at least while the free weather apps are so terrible. The app is very well designed, so it looks beautiful and is responsive to use. Location weather is one of the more useful location based services, and it's good to see it implemented so well. My only gripe is that it only has one Sydney weather station on it's database. It's a huge city and one average temp isn't quite adequate, especially considering the potential of location based weather. Hopefully greater internationalisation will come with later releases.

Clouds on this!. Not worth the money. Several free ones available that peform brtter and don't. Crash! :-(.

No support for Perth, Australia. When trying to add Perth, Australia, the app just keeps on searching until it gives up some minutes later. No message. Who knows whether the search has failed, the parameters were entered wrongly, there was a problem with connectivity or the app just gave up. Pretty useless for Australians. Why is this app even being offered on the Australian store?

Weather source inaccurate....grrrrr. Can't understand how weather sites stay open when so often the weather data is inaccurate. The Fizz Weather Application is great from a software interface viewpoint, but not much use if temperatures given are out by 5 degrees! One would think with today's technology that this wouldn't be a problem but unfortunately it is.

Pretty Good. Expensive but good functions.

Great app for international weather. This is probably the best app available for worldwide weather. There are better apps for local Australian weather. Weatherzone has both decent world coverage and excellent Aussie weather but if you just want global weather, then Fizz Weather is your app.

Use it everyday!!. Love it. Have used it everyday for months. Accurate forecasts to the hour!

No radar support for Melbourne. Nice looking app but no radar support for Melbourne. Not very helpful to me.

FOR Americans ONLY. ONLY 8 weather stations for the whole of Australia. Therefore information is likely to be from a station 2000kms away. A complete waste of your time and money unless you are travelling to USA.

A must for weather watchers. An app with a range of options for viewing such as 2 or 5 day forecasts, comfort level, maps, airport delays, satellite views, radar where available, and a link to Google maps for the relevant link. Looks really good, probably worth paying for. I use the app to check the weather for Brisbane, another major international site, and an obscure international site. It is an everyday app for me. Great!

Update. The new update is awful, please return fizz weather to the way it used to be presented , what a way to cheapen a great weather app!

Simply the best.. This is the best weather app out there, hands down. Apple should buy it and integrate it in the iPhone. Keep up the good work.

Excellent but...... It could deserve 4/4.5 stars if it wasn't for one thing: when it comes to the weather in Canada (Toronto in particular), the app failed and disappoints you for the inaccuracy of the info provided. I've tried it in other countries such as Uk, Italy, US and it was excellent. To deserve my 4 or 5 stars, the app has to work also for the Canada area. A part from that, layout, graphic, detail and extra are excellent.

Great program. Amazing program. Looks great, lots of information on a small screen, easy to read and easy to use. I know it is $5 but if you want an app to check the weather on your iphone this is the one to have. I live overseas and the iPhone's built in weather app is not very accurate - and it only gives you the general daily weather and doesn't let you know if the weather is going to change in the afternoon or evening. Fizz Weather was worth the extra cash to have an app that actually tells me what the weather with some degree of accuracy and to be able to see the Morning / Afternoon / Evening weather for the next couple of days. Not sure why other posters are complaining about the comfort level reading, it may not be perfect but it is a nice extra feature to have - as is the UV Level. If you are looking for an app to check the weather with this is defiantly the best weather app out there at this time.

Awful. The previous 1.x release was a joy to use, with a concise one screen view of everything you needed to know. This release hides information under a difficult to read interface and is designed around the notion that a photo is more important than the information the user purchased the app for. Hugely disappointing, and immediately replaced by the older version.

it's a 3.5 star app. from five stars, to two stars to three now. just updated with their latest version which IS an improvement over the previous update of a few weeks, but it still feels like some more detailed information like a long term forecast is a little bit hidden. glad they've gotten rid of the grey text and gone back to just white. the app also feels much less sluggish since those previous versions - it feels more responsive, and it is fairly intuitive I guess. overall, it's been a great weather app for me. accurate forecasts and great information. this update is an improvement (from my perspective), and I appreciate that the folks at fizz weather are listening to their customers and making adjustments. before you spend your money here. if you're in canada - go grab 'degrees'. slightly less detail in the long term, but a very smooth interface and it is environment canada. it's my favouritr wx app now, and it's a third of the price of this.

Best Weather App. I've tried so many of them but this app is the best. Beautiful graphics, accurate information and so many feature options. Switching to landscape displays all kinds of graphs, very nicely done. Pay a few bucks and enjoy a quality app.

Muy Bueno!!. Excelentes gráficos, completa información, variado origen de los datos, alternativas de sistemas y conversiones, idiomas. Es un programa útil y confiable, he comparado otros similares y pese a su costo, es el más recomendable en su tipo.

Excellent App. Simple interface for a fantastic app. Perfect for those people wanting more detailed weather info.

So so. It is really approximate often wrong for Canada weather (Montreal) No feels like which is often important in my country So good beginning but some improvement is needed

very good although not all the features work in all the locations. As a weather freak I find this app very useful. I always found the default weather app to lack the detailed information that I want, and fizz weather provides this and more. For every location one gets a detailed forecast for the next 24h, 48h and 5 days, and the current weather from selected surrounding locations. Satellite is nice to have, although as I live in Canada I don't get the radar images, which is a little bit disappointing (I hope this will change with time). As I person who fllies quite often, I find the airport status information really useful. I must say though that I live in Edmonton, and for that city the airport information is not available (I also hope this to change, I am optimistic by nature :-)). Toronto Pearson is in the data base. As a summary this is a thumbs up app, which does not get all the stars because mayor cities are not in their data base

Very informative. I've had a few weather apps on my phone and this is by far my favorite. It's pleasant to look at and easy to read. At a glance you can see what's in store for the next few days including alerts. Definately worth the purchase to me.

Great app. For weather fan!!! Worth the money.

Very useful. Accurate, what more to say...

Worth it if further updates come. App is great but I would love to see hourly forcasts and also sunrise/sunset times. Especially the hourl forcasts.

Hate new version. I used to love this app (gave it five stars) but I hate the new interface. It's become very hard to see the information I need. Now I'm looking for a new weather app.

Thankfully I saved my previous version!. Fancy new interface that's difficult to navigate. Hard to see fading grey screens. My reporting stations changes randomly in this version. Not a welcome upgrade.

Formerly a great app. It was a fantastic app, but the latest update made it more weather-app-like in that all the useful information is carefully hidden behind additional clicks, with text often appearing in light grey on grey. Oh well, was nice while it lasted.

No radar for Canada. I almost love everything about the app. It provides so much information in such a concise, neat, and organized manner. The bad - the most integral part of weather forcasting, radar, does not work.

Awesome....but. I love this app, but I'd like to see better Canadian radar support.... Doesn't work for me.

Not worth the money. This is one of the better apps available but why pay for it when the weather network (weathereye) offers a free version that IMO is better. They even have a link through the logo back to their website to get the detailed info you don't use everyday so you don't need it on a native app. Not bad but not worth the money

Great start. This app has a huge amount of info for the $5. I find it useful, which is to get weather details before (and during) boating. I would like to see the addition of two things. Add Canadian radar stations (see www.ec.gc.ca). Add marine reporting stations (see same site).

No snowfall amounts!!!!!. Great program but I really wish it would show the snowfall amounts expected!!!! Also wish it had radar for Canada!!!!

Great Weather App. Wow - this is a nice bit of work. I see that the 'Celsius' issue has been resolved. That's cool: even though I can read both it's still nice to have the option. Great UI: easy to read. Lots of options and for anyone who likes to check the weather and receive a nicely detailed report then this is the one to replace the iPhone's standard weather App. Not sure about the "Comfort Level" heading as it's not clear if that is indicating the Humidex level or not (which, along wirh Wind Chill in the winter) would be very useful to have. But not a reason for me to knock the App rating down at all. Good work by the Dev/s and for me in Hamilton, Ont. I get the cities that I need (including a small one in New Brunswick).

Good. If author would add some 3d effects, as seen on htc touch weather app, I'd give 5 stars

Very nice but. Very nice but I would really like to see a "feels like" feature (really not sure what comfort level stands for). Living in Montreal, we need to know information on humidex and wind chill... I hope this is something to come.

Excellent weather app. This app gives plenty of useful information and is very nice to look at. Well worth it and glad I bought it.

Good app but.... Please add niagara falls, ON and saint catharines, ON weather stations. Yahoo weather has them... Until then this app does not work for me. Thanks

Nice App, but still needs work. Maps/Radar/Sat with the update is not good. I live in Kansas City and have Texas centered on the screen. The latest update brought back the country view from the fisrt version. Maps needs localized sat/radar with zoom capability. I want to see detail in my locale.

Excellent app. Really the only thing missing is hourly weather. I love that it will keep the weather you last saw, even if you're offline. Very handy for people who are underground a lot, like in NYC. Only other request would be to have the current weather on the 5-day forcast and/or the day's high/low on the Now weather.

This new update is terrible!!. The user interface is a pain to navigate now, and the emergency alerts are too small to read. They won't enlarge using pinch and zoom. I would not purchase this app. I have never written a review before, but this new version warranted one! This used to be my favorite weather app before they butchered it. I prefer Weather Bug now. It is so much easier to use and the graphics are superior.

I like the app but........ I wish you could zoom in on smaller towns like the one I live in. It's about a 10,000 people population and of course will not show up on the radar so in the next update I hope that gets fixed.

Disappointed with new radar maps. Having radar maps for half the country is nice, but when I am on motorcycle and trying to figure out if I can beat the oncoming rain I need local radar. Swirly green splotches over illinois doesn't help. A 100 mile view would be very helpful. Static local data is more useful than animated national data. Bring it back please.

Best weather app out right now. It has a few minor flaws ie radar takes too long to load on 3G can't imagine on edge. But after seeing some over the other apps this one is much more user friendly and very well put together.

Very good but.... There is some room for improvement. Updating data takes some time, but at the very least update the graphics for iPhone 4. This rating will become a 5 star when this app is updated.

Best. I use it instead of regular iPhone weather app. Before buying it,I was too greedy to spend 6$ for a weather app,but now I think,it's the best weather app and shuld be in top 25! Developers, really nice job!!!

Accurate weather!. I've tried several weather apps but this one wins hands down. The barometric pressure readings were my original reason for buying but the continuously accurate forecasts has made this application a keeper. Well worth the money, in my opinion.

Horrible update!. This app will certainly be deleted if the old interface (or one similar) isn't brought back. Too many clicks to get to useful data, unreadable text and icons, and a weird disparity of some screens being way too information dense to others being so empty that the app looks broken. From 5 stars to 1. Please bring the old Fizz back.

Best weather app. Fizz v1.1 packs a ton of information into a very slick interface. Detailed forecasts, warnings and alerts, maps, animated radar, airport travel info. I tested most of the weather apps during tropical strom Fay and Fizz is definitely the best overall app.

Terrible New Design :-( GET BACK TO OLD GUI - PLEASE!!!. GUYS AT FIZZ, WHAT IS GOING ON?!? SORRY but the new design is NOT functional and TERRIBLE to navigate. Looks like it's now more complicate to have the information!!! WHERE IS THE AIRPORT DELAY DETAILS BY THE WAY?!? - GUYS, PLEASE GET THE OLD USER INTERFACE BACK!!! JUST READY THE REVIEWS HERE!!! WHAT'S HAPPENING AT FIZZ SOFTWARE?!? AND TAKE THE AIRPORT INFORMATION BACK AS WELL. Please do something about that (as SOON as possible) at next update, I can't use this new GUI for more than a day, but I still need the information from the software so PLEASE CHANGE IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Sorry!!!

Okay, not great. I find that this app often locks up preventing me from switching between cities. Overall it's kind of slow and seems to be less accurate than the Weather Channel app. I do like the graphics but wish the app was a bit faster and more accurate.

By Far best weather app. I have been using this since day one and the upgrades ameliorate the app overall...it just keeps getting better....keep up the goodwork

Not the best, but still good!!!. It does have a nice UI and alot of info, but other apps have more. Radar needs better zooming capabilities. If I were going to spend 3.99, then I would get mycast weather thats also 3.99 because its better than this one. Lost a star because of radar and another for the price which is too high for no better than it is!

Terrible Update. The newest application update is absolutely terrible. The previous version had a fabulous user interface. The new user interface has much to be desired. I strongly suggest the developer bring back the original user interface and version and release this version of the application as a new application with a new name.

Does everything weather seekers need. Unless you are a storm tracker this app does it all and gives you a plethora of detailed info. The UI is sexy. This is what Apple should have provided iPhone users with as standard. Works great in Woodlands/Houston area with over several weather reporting stations. Thanks developer!

poor UI. There was nothing wrong with the old interface. Always nice when something good can get better, but this overhaul is a big step backwards. Very non-intuitive, small type, slower. Please go back to simpler interface. I've used Fizz for years since Windows 2.0 phone and was my favorite weather app. I'm now considering deleting entirely.

Worth the $$$. Best weather app out there hands down. Takes a little time to see/find all the features but once you do you'll be amazed. Only complaint is the radar. You can zoom to your location but still can't see temp via radar. Don't hesitate, buy now!

Features Request. Great program! Please add map centering around my location, local maps (keep global maps too), color chart for radar colors. This is my favorite weather program! Thanks!

Great app!. This app is filled with a lot of information. I was looking for an app with a nice look and lots of information that didn't cost a lot. This one delivered for me.

Newest version. Thanks for changing the splash screen! Always depend on this app, it's the best of the weather apps out there! Now with faster loading, it's back to what it does best. Next version.. Could you consider allowing more locations? Thanks!

Very comprehensive and clear. I'm very happy with this app. It's easy to add cities and all the features work very well. It's also very clear and easy to read.

Nice weather app. I really like this app. It shows nice graphic representation of every location along with wind speed, UV level which is important if you are going to be in the sun. Also it gives the options to see radar mode.

Odd way to present the information.. Why not list the CURRENT temperature in the upper left hand corner of the 5- and 2-day forecasts? To get temperature, you have to go to another screen! I hope updates address this (or give a choice). When (if) this is addressed, it will be a five-star app in my book! It's a great UI.

Cosmetically Pleasing. REALLY like this app. However, I've found the radar maps to not be as accurate as other weather apps. Still, I won't get rid of this one because I use it to show off the iPhone capabilities.

Top notch. I have most weather apps and this one not only has a lot to offer, but it also refreshes way quicker than most other apps quicker too.

Fix Constant Alert Notification. This app is excellent, except it constantly says there is a weather watch/warning, even if it's just a change in the forecast. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update.

Good weather app. Like the user interface. Visually appealing. Provides most weather related info u could need. In the next release of the Dewpoint temperature could be added. I use the weather apps for scientific observations. The Dewpoint effects the feel of the weather. Then this app would be a 5 star program.

Awesome. This app is great and worth the money, I just wish that you can zoom out more on the map so you can see other patterns. Buy this app thou it's great!

Great App. I was hesitant at first to spend money on this app but after using other programs I needed one that worked. This program works exactly as advertised and the UI is great. I'm very happy with my money spent and hope the developers keep up the great job.

Doesn't show the right day. This program looks nice, but it does not show the current time. Right now, for example, it is 10:20 pm on a Wednesday, but it shows Thursday morning for the five day view and Thursday evening for the 2 day view. I've written to them about this a few times and all they could say it was due to the service they get their info from. Months later the problem remains and I'll delete the program next time I'm cleaning things up.

Good. But more features on maps needed.. Excellent so far but more features on the maps are needed. The radar needs to be smoother. Additional zoom in is also needed. Include city cameras if possible

Needs Better Radar. The Radar image quality is poor. It would help if it were animated and you could zoom in and out more. Other than that it is a great app

Inaccurrate weather. I liked the application. Good job on that part, but the weather is sometimes inaccurrate in my area. For instance, you say sunny or partly cloudy for the entire week including current forecast. Then it starts to rain and it is still partly cloudy from your current information. I think I'll stick with HTML until the data becomes more accurrate.

Great app. Really good application. Needs a few bug fixes: moving cities around doesn't always stick, and it can crash with heavy usage. But, best app on iphone I've found!

Freezing. Since the upgrade to version 2.2 of the iPhone firmware, this app freezes often, with the inability to move between cities. I have seen this on multiple iPhones and it is easily duplicated. We need a fix.

Real Good, except. The more information the better I say. This app stands out because it has humidity and it states low temps as "Monday Overnight" so you no longer have to wonder if the low for the day is the am or pm temperature. A fifth star could be earned with a single change - allow scrolling across the whole country in alternate views such as radar.

Recent Changes are not good ones. I wish you had kept the old design and simply made it for Retina. I find the new layout to be confusing and not really "flowing" correctly. There was nothing wrong with the old design, except you failed to keep on top of the updates and not taking advantage in Retna. I am very disappointed that I lost my favorite weather app. Please revert back to the old design, this one is uselss to me.

Review. As an international traveler, this is what I have wanted for years. Wonderful database, weather for surrounding areas for larger cities, & a button updates travel delays for all airports. The only fault is that only 12 cities can be preloaded but the search function is truly easy. Perfect for the road warrior

Nice app. Well done. Some work on the fluidity of page transition would be great though it's not really a problem. Had one page stick when I first used it but no problems since. One humble request, come up with a cooler icon. All these points considered, definitly the best weather app I have used.

Good App (needs animated radar). Amazing interface, great user experience. But there is one thing missing I think the most important feature... animated radar. I would have been much happier if the application had this feature. Other than that nice work and continue to improve the app.

Great application. This is a great application. I have it for both iPhone and windows mobile. The UI is great in iphone. The 1.1 update adds cool new features to already excellent application. I'm glad I bought it.

Great App!. I have bought many Fizz products in the past for Windows Mobile, and this doesn't dissapoint at all! The only thing I ask is, if the developer can tweak the speed at which you can flip weather location pages.

High Price But Better Than Most. Easy to read, despite, weird clunky user interface. Remember to turn the phone landscape. Some graphics are poorly executed, but data is easy to read. This is really a four star app, one bonus star because I am in a good mood.

Recommended. Fizz Weather presents all the weather information I'm looking for, in a clean, well thought-out user interface. I found it easy to enter various locations. To date, the app has performed flawlessly.

Airport Data Needs Work. Fine weather app, but needs work on airport data. The app gives me flight delay data for five commercial airports, none of which is less than a 100 miles from me. I live within 10 miles of an international commercial airport that is a major link between Montreal-New York and Boston-Buffalo in the northeast US (Albany, NY). I reported it to them and they replied with a weak excuse. Not worth $6, maybe $3.

All show no go. Looks great but unfortunately not accurate. If the "real" weather tomorrow is rain in AM and sun in the afternoon this program might give you a forecast of showers for the day. If you prefer style to substance then you will probably like this program but if you want the real weather stick with Weather Underground which is free.

Great app. Enhancements in the recent upgrade greatly improve product. Please consider adding an option to pause radar/satellite loops on the fly. Also, would be great to see radar/satellite in landscape.

Another High Quality Application from Fizz!. Having used a number of the Fizz applications on the WM 6 platform, I was confident that the implementation would be excellent. It is.

Please wait! Fizz Weather app comments loading...
