Everything costs money??. Okay I get it supply and demand, but I downloaded discz last year and had all of these features for free and loved the app and was on it constantly. Now I have to pay for all of these features that MAKE the app what it is? The app is not the same without personalization.

Paywalled App. I like the concept of this app, but the execution is awful. It recommended me 4 songs, none of which I liked, and then locked the rest of the app behind a paywall with limited recommendations everyday, again I only got four, and I didn’t like a single one! There’s no room for the AI to figure out what you like and have this app actually be useful unless you cough up the monthly subscription. Overall disappointed.

So. I love this app I love the songs I get recommended but it lost 2 stars cuz I just got it and found 2 songs I like but I need to pay to swipe a lot this is stupid. 2 stars a day is equivalent to -2 stars

4 songs a day. It starts off good and the consent is really good, it also works well but after a couple days the limited amount of swipes you get is lowered, I started with 30-20 but now I get 4 a day

apple music support. would be a great app if apple music was supported, i understand the difficulties of apple music but it is supported on discz so clearly you guys figured it out once so i hope to see an update soon. I will delete this review when apple music is supported.

Apple Music. While I was not here for the transition so many in the reviews are talking about, I feel like this app has great potential. I already do a lot of manual work to try to find new music so this app is perfect for me and reducing the time I send searching for new music. My only complaint is that it doesn’t support Apple Music. I understand the limitations Apple Music has but would greatly appreciate an integration soon.

the limited swipes was the mail in the coffin. I remember using this app when it just came out. I loved how i could swipe to find music but the limited amount of swipes really ticked me off. I really hope they get rid of the limited swipes. I don’t know where they’re going with this but who in the right mind would pay $10 a year for unlimited swipes and filters rather 2$ a month.

Paying for what was free?. Discz was amazing, I got to swipe and find new music but then the update happened and I had to go on a waitlist because my account got deleted and once I got off the waitlist the app was trash, horrible update with such tacky animations and then recs app came out and it was okay but now I have to pay for unlimited swiping? Why did you guys have to ruin such a good thing? I’m deleting both apps, too much of a hassle, too bad to see a great app go to ruins

Pay to use. I only got to add 2 songs to my playlist before it said I had to pay for a subscription. This is such a good idea for a app and I understand having to make money from it but can’t you just add ads or at least give me way more songs then just 2 a day

Great App!. Can you kids stop complaining about having to pay lol. Servers aren’t free. Developers definitely aren’t free. It’s $10 a YEAR, calm down. Or should I come to your job and expect you to serve me for $0

Not that good. It let me choose 3 songs to add, and then it gave me a paywall. I don’t mind paying for things, but a paywall for something so small is ridiculous and makes it seem as though they should’ve just made it an app that costs money. After like 3 songs, there isn’t anything you can do on the app so there really isn’t a point.

🥲. Honestly, this app could be way better if you didn't have to pay for basic stuff like filtering which types of songs you would like??? And daily swipes? Its annoying honestly, i feel like you should have a bit more daily swipes than only a few, i’d like to add music to my playlist without having to wait a whole day just for song recommendations, and they don't even give you the right type of music you asked for… The app is good but i feel like there shouldn't be daily swipes and you should be able to do way more without having to pay for everything.

Ruined by a paywall. The old discz app was perfect as it had the social aspect as well as the Recs included in the app. Honestly feels like a money grab that they made a whole new app for Recs and then made you pay for and added limited swipes. I could understand if the had special features and an ad free experience behind a paywall but this version is just terrible. Really unfortunate since the recommendations are great and it used to be way better.

Cool app idea. Really cool idea to find music but you get practically nothing without paying. i do appreciate how cheap the options are but i’m you only get around ten swipes and limited options without paying.

Amazing. I’ve been having trouble finding good song last to listen to and this app brings the songs to me would definitely recommend to anyone struggling to make a good playlist or find good songs

Would give 5 but gotta pay to use basically. It would be better if unlimited swipes was free because without it you only get like 10 swipes

Good but desperate. Straight to the point a good app but there shouldn’t really be A daily limit to swipes that’s kinda dime but 9/10 for me it’s just that one flaw

3 stars is generous. This app could’ve been so good if you didn’t need a subscription to swipe through more than 5 songs, even if it’s cheap if you cant fork up the money, 5 songs with a lenient filter (which you also have to pay to adjust) will not find you any good music.

Sounds do not work. I found that often times when you leave the app to go to another, then return the music will no longer work, even after closing and opening the app a few times. I bought premium and even then it doesn’t work. It is a cool idea but needs to be function, especially for paying customer!

Its ok. Its genuinely a good idea for an app but the fact that i can only swipe like a few times a day without paying is annoying 😭 ( but if your someone who has a really hard time finding music alot then it is really helpful even if you only get a couple songs a day )

Could be Better but good. I downloaded this and was pretty mad about the pay wall sense they pitch this app as just what discz used to be which besides the pay wall it is. Which is true but it unfortunately has the exact same problems as it used to. Like the fact that you have to pay 10 dollars for a app that can’t export to Apple Music. A issue that was fixed in the discz app but not this. Disappointing but if you can look past that a pretty good app

Subscription issue. I have purchased the monthly subscription once and had to get a new debit card, so I thought that the new card was the issue when the app told me I had to purchase it again to be able to see more music. So I went ahead and got the yearly subscription, because I use the app regularly. A few days later when I get on the app again, it popped up the screen telling me I needed to purchase a subscription to be able to see more music. There’s a restore purchases button at the bottom of that screen, which I pressed, and it told me I didn’t have any purchases to restore. I’ve spent a pretty good amount of money on this app and I got to see 4 songs just now….

I’m obsessed. This app is so useful. I’m literally a psycho when it comes to music and finding good songs, especially underground music. This app has helped so much and I’m a huge fan. When I first got Discz it was exactly like this, now Discz and Recs have separated but honestly love all of it. It’s such a good concept.

Allow more daily swips. I’m a huge music lover, I couldn’t live my life without it. This app allows me to find more music so I can feel like I can make my life a little more interesting, the reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the fact that you get a limited (and very few) amount of swipes before you have to wait another 24 hours for more swipes. You can pay a subscription to get unlimited swipes, but I don’t feel the need to pay extra money for free music

upsetting. discz was an awesome app which i recommended to a bunch of friends. it was very useful and helped me put a playlist together of songs i enjoyed, and allowed me to find new songs. then a new update drops, completely changes the app, and ruins it. Then I see an ad for this app, and i was excited because this was the prime discz app i really enjoyed. i download it, but wait a little bit to use it because i already have a playlist im enjoying. when i log in and set it up to use, i get excited as i swipe new songs into my playlist. then a pop-up says i've used all my free swipes for today after 5 swipes. a wonderful app i once got to use for free was taken away from me, then re-released with a monthly subscription. very upsetting.

Swipes a day. I was excited to make good playlists easier and upon trying the app I was only able to swipe left or right 10 times. I was super disappointed especially since the songs it brought up to me were all bad

Subscription. This app is amazing, I found out about it from a TikTok and immediately downloaded. I love how intuitive and easy it is to find new music, however I hate that they are trying to squeeze money out of their users by making them pay a subscription. A better suggestion would be to include adds instead of alienating your users while still being able to make a profit. Please do better.

Swipe limit. Literally swiped 3 songs and hit my limit. i downloaded the app and used it for maybe a minute and was done with my free content. i understand the idea of a premium but that is actually ridiculous. im just going to delete the app and try another music suggestion app bc its not even worth using 😭 such a cool idea that is being wasted.

why??. i loved discz, and loved the fact that the recommendations and playlist feed was all in one place. then they removed the feature that everyone got discz for… to make a separate *PAID* app?!! i’m sorry but this is not how you keep a customer base, especially when the free swipe limit takes me less than a minute to blow through. bad move.

this is like online gentrification. the concept of this app is so smart and before it was switched i loved it and used it all the time. now they have made the main point of the app completely unattainable by making a swipe limit so it’s basically off limits to anyone who doesn’t want to pay for it. there are so many other ways to make money from apps and so many other “extra” features that could have been put behind the paywall instead but this whole app is just pointless and disappointing now.

How to get unlimited swipes. I also am mad about the daily swipe thing but if you just delete the app and reinstall, you get free swipes again. It’s a hassle but it does indeed work

Ruined what they had. I used the app before they changed it to their social media thing and everything was free I understand trying to make money but using the app without the subscription is almost impossible, my recommendation is just use ads and make the subscription add free

Shell of its former self. Used to love discz. Then they’ve decided to make the original app a useless social media app, removing the one feature that made it worth while and put it here. Now they’ve watered it down and locked half the features behind a paywall :( truly sad to see the state of this app

Idk. I just started using it, so I don’t have the full experience. But I like the app, it’s just the song limits is 4. I get that they have to make money, but I feel like the daily limit of songs should be a little larger like maybe 6 or 7. That’s just my opinion, but I do like it.

sleazy moves all around. The developers completely ruined a perfectly good app with the update of discz, and tried to back pedal late due to the backlash by setting this up as a separate app. It’s very clear that they did it that way to force exposure for their stupid new social media platform and to mooch off of the many existing users, good reviews, and recommendations earned by the original discz app. Now they’ve added an honest to god paywall on this “new” app, which really feels like a slap in the face. It seems to me that they got way too greedy as soon as their one app got popular enough. Don’t get me wrong, I love the function of this app and believe they deserve to make money from it. I would totally understand if they decided to include ads to make revenue. I just find it slimy that they’re trying to squeeze money directly out of the users they’ve been stringing along this whole time.

Back button doesn’t work. The back button is so inconsistent it doesn’t work half the time. Il hear a good song and accidentally swipe and when I try to click back it doesn't work. This happens very often. If your going to charge users for this app now at least make a good product

Worth It. Obviously if you can’t afford the $10 yearly subscription or the $3 monthly alternative, this review won’t change your mind. But if you want to know if it’s worth that much then I’m here to reassure you that it is. The two main reasons I feel this way have to do firstly with the recommendation system, which I believe compared to every other alternative is the best at understanding my specific tastes in relation to whatever music/ artist it is uses as a reference. And secondly I believe that the application stands head over heels above the rest when it comes to both the quantity of its features as well as the quality of those features. I am speaking of course from experience as I have used countless of music discovery apps and I’ve found that the only one that comes close to Discz( Recs) is Juicebox, which isn’t really saying much as it still leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to this technological masterpiece. Honestly, I’m so pleased with the application that I remain utterly confused as to why it has not been marketed more widely and more efficiently. And while it is not a direct competitor, I believe that its ability to surpass Spotify’s recommendation systems justifies its current cost in reference to that of Spotify’s, while remaining the greatest companion to the music streaming platform that has been achieved so far.

Seriously?. This is honestly super disappointing to me, I used to love the Original discs app. You could just scroll on it and find great music for hours, now they got rid of this feature on the main app. I come to find out a year later that they didn’t get rid of the feature but instead moved it to a different app and locked it behind a pay wall.

keep fumbling. i cant believe how bad you guys keeps fumbling your products. first you change the original app from a good idea to a worse social oriented one. To fix this? the second app was made, i was so pleased to see that this unique idea was brought back, but then a swipw limit? I dont know if this is a joke at this point but if you want to make money, just put ads. it greatly angers me to see how bad you guys keep making your products😕

Good idea but didn’t work well. App asked me what 3 artists I liked so it could get better songs to suggest me. I put in Britney Spears, Christina Milian and Christina Aguilera (so early 2000s pop music). The few songs it suggested me were random rock, punk, rap, basically everything as far away as possible from what it is that I put in. And this wouldn’t be that much of an issue if the app let you have far more suggestions before asking you to pay money. The app only let me go through about 10 songs before asking me to pay OR wait a day before viewing more, and I’m pretty sure I would have to go through over 100 for it to become more accurate, which would take over a week of using the app daily for it to become good. And even aside from that, a lot of the other features are locked behind paywalls too, to the point where I don’t think it’s worth it to have the app installed unless you pay the subscription monthly.

Miss the old version. With the crappy update with Discz (which was an amazing app before) Recs has been made into a separate app. Discz should have a section where you can get recommendations for your playlist, it shouldnt be a whole separate app. A limited number of swipes too?! And i have to pay for more?! Cmon guys bring back the old Discz this is outrageous. That was a genius idea and you’ve ruined it with the greed. Also have lost many loyal people to the community because of it. BRING BACK THE OLD DISCZ!!!

Unwanted subscription. I loved this app back when it allowed unlimited swipes, but now you get maybe 5 songs per day?? A subscription is for an app like this is so unnecessary, along with limiting the amount of songs you can listen to per day. The original Discz app was much better.

can’t do anything without paying. i never even write reviews for apps but i’m so tired of apps i used to love putting every feature behind a subscription or paywall the second they get a little more popular. i understand wanting to make money and everything and i really do love the concept and idea of the app but why do i have to pay for every additional feature AND there’s a limit to how many songs i can swipe through a day (aka the entire point of the app)- also i swiped literally a couple of times and that was the limit for the day apparently. kind of annoying that every app is doing this now bc no i’m not gonna pay for a million different subscriptions for apps that should be free

More Daily Swipes or Make the App free. Please think about allowing more daily swipes, so that the person using the app may enjoy more then 4 songs every day, to be honest you would gain many more downloads if people did not have to pay, so please consider your options. Thank You.

Ruined app. The discz app was phenomenal for its time because it allowed me to put together so many playlists and let me explore my music taste a lot. Then it turned into a community app which is fine but ruined the whole point of what it was originally set out to do. I saw this app was recommended. Downloaded it. Then after 5 swipes I reached the daily limit. Are you kidding me? The original app there was no pay wall and I would spend hours just on it looking for music. But now it takes me less than 30 seconds to be done with my limit for the app? Why is there a pay wall for things that’s not needed? Even with paying the pay wall the app will not be perfect. All in all. This app used to be amazing, but now you need to pay to even be able to use it. Don’t waste your time unless you wanna spend money. Even if you do spend your money it’s just not worth it

subscription. I was a huge fan of the older app, it was how i found a majority of my music since i could filter it through what i was currently looking for and swipe for hours until i was satisfied. i’m constantly looking for new music and it was a great app for me and i loved it… UNFORTUNATELY, the developers felt the need to add a paid subscription fee into the app. which is so unnecessary. i have to pay money to find music now.. really wish they just kept the old app how it was, even the new separate Discz app is strange now, it was perfect before they ruined everything. Please bring back the old version.. please.

Amazing App. This app is fantastic for finding music I never would have found on my own. I definitely recommend this app to people looking for new music but don’t know how to go about exploring different artists

Don’t support this app.. The app itself is not bad. It’s the developers that take advantage of their customers by removing previously free features and promising to return it as a separate app. Well, what they failed to say was that 99% of the original features are all paid now and you only get 5 or so swipe limits daily. There’s a multitude of other ways that they could’ve profited from this without screwing over all the people who don’t want to pay a monthly subscription just to swipe more songs. If you want a free way to get song recommendations then go with the Chosic website instead.

I want my money back. This app is terrible, I will put in filters for country and it will give me rap music and rock, everything except country, I payed 10 bucks for this piece of dog crap, there’s things you could do better, first make the filters work, when I put in country singers and songs I don’t wanna see rap or rock, I wanna see country fix that please

Daily swipe limit drastically reduced. 5 swipes? Absolute clown act honestly. I reviewed this app earlier before they changed the daily swipe limit from around 20 give or take to now 5? I was ok with a subscription based system in place if the free version was usable, which now, isn’t.

daily swipe limit. I was actually so happy when I saw in one of the reviews from “Discz” that they still have the app that allows you to find similar songs, but when I found out that they had a limited swipe for an artist, I was actually gonna cry. And you have to buy it too? Before, we could explore different music genre WITHOUT buying anything, and it actually helped me a lot with my playlists. It helped me discover new artists, and I used it quite a lot before when it had unlimited swipes. I was hoping if you guys could remove it for people who can’t buy it, but love listening to music (me).

It’s good but could be better. Look I respect the hustle but u only get like 15 Recs a day and they are all pretty good love the ai. Giving me Jpop songs I didn’t know I like and I have a few NFS songs on my playlists from like prostreet and undercover and it somehow recommended me my 2 favourite songs from carbon and most wanted that I had completely forgotten about as well as some of my favourite genre which is like clean/ semi clean rap music just hate that I can’t add specificly to a playlist and the restrictions on song amounts

Cool concept but they want money. Look I’m not against the idea of having a premium service, I mean I went years without Spotify premium but when you lock all you feature behind a paywall then it’s just embarrassing. Like cmon man just put 30 second ads every 15 songs or something or even better 5 second skipable ads more frequently. Just do what tiktok does and I’m sure ur app will be fine. But unfortunately it’s not very helpful unless you blow $12 which I will not be doing.

🌸. Not sure if this is supposed to happen I first seen the add a while ago, I got the app and used it, it brought me to a pay wall (whatever) it said daily swipe limit reached, I waited more then a day and it never reset, I had to delete the app and reinstall it to get more swipes

It’s alright but it can have some of these suggestions. This is a really good app for when your bored and you need to spice up your playlist….but… why do you only get a limited amount of music discz? Because I usually only find 1 song throughout all of the songs. At least change it to a higher amount.

Good idea but... It's a good concept, however the fact you have a daily swipe limit??? What is it like 5 swipes a day.. Stop advertising it's free if you're gonna block the good part of the app behind a pay wall.

Apple Music. It’s good but should have it for Apple Music

Nope, dont download.. You get 5 free swipes daily, not enough to actually find a song you like. If not you have to pay 3.99 per month.

Greedy. This app used to be part of the regular Discz app. But then they updated and removed the one and only feature that made that app worthwhile. So after lots of complaints they bring this feature back, but as its own standalone app. Great news, right? Well, it would be, but now they expect you to pay $3.99 a month for a feature that used to be free. Ridiculous.

TF bro I gotta pay like as soon as u download the app. I downloaded it thinking it be cool and it is but u gotta pay tf?! What’s the point if u can use it for 2 minutes and then gotta wait 23 hours again just to use it for the shortest while terrible sure u want money but jeezz at least have a part where we can watch adds so it’s actually useable to useless sure it “ helps “ you find songs but for the littlest of time AND ITS 12+ Children can’t pay for it btw i’m 15 and do I have money? Yes but little. do I want to waste it on sum app that “ helps” me find good songs NO bc I can just look for songs by myself but this could have wasted less of my time.

Cool concept, poor practice. Started off strong, just as advertised. Gave me some good music, and some repeats of songs I already liked. Gave maybe 15 swipes to me. And then 10 swipes daily. Then 5. I’m now down to 3 swipes daily before it tells me to subscribe. Plus, its a subscription purchase, which seems counterintuitive. If I’m paying for spotify, which recs me songs each week, why ALSO buy a subscription for this. Just add ads or make it a one time purchase or something instead of taking away swipes. Overall, highly disappointing.

Horrible. I was so excited for this app because i hate making playlists but lets just say i was so disappointed. It lets you swipe on one song a day to add to your playlist and then makes you pay if you want more swipes. This app is bull do not recommend.

Absurd subscription price. You get to swipe maybe 10 songs before you’re hit with a paywall. It’s a good concept but it’s atrocious execution. It costs way too much for what it does.

made my Spotify delete my playlist from my phone. After leaving my review on the app I went to delete it as I found it pointless to have a useless app on my phone and now it’s deleted my favourite playlist outta my phone while I don’t have wifi HORRIBLE DESIGNERS ON THIS APP WISH IT WENT LOWER THAT 1 STAR

pretty good. i love it so far but i was hoping i could at least choose a specific genre or language i wish to find songs of as i was looking for more chinese, japanese, or korean songs to listen to. good app though :D

Cool concept tarnished by greed. The concept for this app is very cool, it’s fun and easy to use. It’s a shame that functionality is only present for a few minutes before it’s locked behind a paywall. The need to purchase a subscription to use the service is absurd. The apps function more useful than Spotify’s on algorithms, but not enough for me to want to purchase a subscription. If you want to lock advanced setting behind the pay wall that’s one thing, but preventing your app from being used, stops it from even being an app. Now it’s just a pointless decoration on my Home Screen. At least have the option of a basic version with ads. Because right now your app is fun for 2 minutes and useless the other 23 hours and 58 minutes of the day.

bad. i downloaded the app, paied for the yearly subscription and now it’s telling me again to pay for it, and now it’s telling me my daily swiping is over after i already paied for it

Premium. I hate how it requires premium. I get to swipe on maybe 9-15 songs and then I get stuck behind a pay wall. I would consider buying premium if I could see more of what the app had to offer but I don’t get to see much due to the premium pay wall.

LOVE THIS! Productive way to kill time!. This app is pretty genius. Their are lots of ways to discover new music (Spotify playlists, online forums, etc.) but this app makes is super fun and easy to do at any time. It allows me to discover new music when I’d otherwise be doing nothing (waiting in line, during my commute, etc.).

No good. Doesn’t recommend anything good. It get close then goes off into left field. Recommends so much rap to me, I have like 2 rap songs in my Spotify liked and I rarely listen to it, but that’s all it recommends.

Can’t even open. I used to love using this app but since the update it “cannot connect to Spotify” so I can’t use it anymore.

Made me get hacked. About a week after downloading my Spotify was hacked. I’m sure these are related as I don’t even use Spotify and only used it to connect to this app. They also do not have customer service and you can’t delete your account.

Not good anymore. Before when you could have unlimited skips i would be on the app everyday. Now the format of the new app is terrible and adding only a couple skips per day then forcing someone to pay. Don’t download this app anymore its terrible. Only way they can come back is if they bring back the original version

I honestly love this app so so much. First of all you don’t even have to log in it does it for you you don’t have to set it up, unlimited skips etc I literally live the person who made this it’s so easy it’s like tinder but music omggg it has such a wide verity of songs and you can swipe endlessly

Okay. Cool but after a few weeks, you can only swipe like 5-6 song per day. Also, it suggest songs that are already in my playlist

Why do I need to pay. This was a free app that was ruined and turned into a terrible social media platform. They then made a “new” app and put endless swiping behind a pay wall. Absolutely scummy.

swipe limit. its a cool concept of an app but the swipe limit for the day is like 7 songs and thats it? that makes no sense and to get more songs u gotta pay a subscription. i wouldve payed a one time payment for the app if it wasnt screwing ppl over so badly with 7 songs? not sure if its worth it to get, but if you wanna wait 24 hours for 7 songs go right ahead

developers have no idea what their audience wants. totally screwed up discz by turning it into an entirely different app. completely removed its main feature. realized their mistake, tried to fix it by making a whole second app. second app works fine but is almost useless without paying. hate.

Its ok. It’s pretty good at recommending music, but you have to buy a subscription just to look through more than like ten songs. Overall I think it’s just a cheap cash grab.

Not enough free swipes. It gives you like 5 free swipes before u have to wait till the next day to swipe.

Had a perfect app. You had the most perfect music finding app around, then you ruin your first app by making it a social media platform (don’t know who asked for that?), I really thought this was redemption but now I have to pay to use your app?? Yeah sorry, money hungry!

Don’t fall for the scam. All of the features used to be free on their previous app Discz until they decided to turn that into a wonky social media app. They charge you to do pretty much anything now.

Why would I pay?. This app makes u pay for more swipes. You only get like 10? Just annoying.

bad. the first app was entirely free and had the same function as this new one, the creators messed it all up by adding a whole bunch of new features and made a whole different app, still this app gives you maybe 5 swipes a day if not less, and if you want to actually use the app you have to pay, they had a good thing and ruined it 😭

Pretty much makes you pay. It gives decent recommendations for new music but it comes down to either paying or only being able to swipe 10 times a day.

Paywall. Was very hyped about this app when i saw it on tiktok but instantly got unhooked because you through this app into a paywall, locked me up from listening to new music unless I pay money. Its scummy.
