Loads of fun but too much ads. It’s a really fun and entertaining game. There’s just too many ads. Almost every 40 seconds to a minute of gameplay, there’s an ad. Luckily some of the ads are just 5 seconds but there are ads that are 30 seconds long. Most of the ads look interesting though so I’ve downloaded quite a few. I’m surprised that I kept playing the game although it had so much ads. I just enjoy it so I am still playing the game despite the ads. I understand that they have to make money and ads are probably the most money making method. I don’t mind being introduced to new fun games. It’s addictive, relaxing and easy to put down and get back to if you need to go.

Great to play but doesn’t keep progress.. I’ve been playing this game for some period of time and it’s been quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, lately there’s been an issue where every time I close the app all the cake pieces are set and the board is blank. Whenever this happens it makes me less likely to continue playing. Hopefully this issue gets corrected soon.

Fun but has some problems. This game is a great way to pass the time. The animation is satisfying and colorful, it’s easy to play and engaging. However it seems like there is an ad every five seconds and it is the same ones repeated over and over. Everything needs ads to be unlocked if you don’t wish to pay money and I understand beggars can’t be choosers but the sheer amount of ads surpasses that of any other game that I have downloaded. Also every ad seems to have particularly tricky x’s. I’m used to them being concealed/ moved but they’re clear and half cut off/missing. Recently I was trying to change my cake set up and use some eliminated cakes. It said I needed to watch an ad to save the change. Note this was just 1 cake out of multiple that I wanted to switch. I’m mildly annoyed but I understand the game has to make money somehow. I watch the video and go back to switch another cake but it just keeps saying I need to save. At first I thought maybe you can only change one but after watching the directions and observing the reset button I realized it hadn’t even saved the single one. I watched over three videos and still nothing. There is just too many little things piling up that bother me about this app in order for me to give it five stars. I wish I could because I genuinely enjoyed it in the beginning but over time it’s proven to be more hassle than fun.

Great game, too many ads.. This game is great, specially for it being free. It’s very addicting and I can’t stop playing it. But lately, the ads have been getting worse. Every time I complete 2-3 cakes, I get an ad. It’s getting ridiculous. And some ads are super long and it makes me not even want to stay in the game anymore. I understand since the game it’s free, it needs its source of earning but Jesus christ. Every 2-3 cakes it’s an ad break. It’s getting super annoying. Now that I have completed the game, I’m debating wether to even keep playing because these ads are getting worse by the day.

Addictive. Really enjoying playing this addictive puzzler! The mechanism of merging pieces is unique from other games I’ve tried, and it just keeps pulling me back in. One suggestion: I’d love to either, as another reviewer requested, be able to customize which images get used OR simply cycle back through eliminated images once I’ve unlocked them all - it seems like a little bit of a waste to not use the earlier graphics any longer once I unlock the later ones, and changing things up would make it just that little bit more addictive.

Little bug... I love this game and i play it every single day. i’m on the level where i should be getting the creamy cake but it’s replacing it with (special) cakes that i don’t even have equipped.. when i change one of the cakes out from my bakery into the cake that it’s trying to take away it just changes to a different one and it’s infuriating because even if i get a score of 2000 and it offers me the cake multiple times it still won’t change

Progress bug?. I tried playing yesterday and saw that my score was messed up. When I clicked the button to play it immediately said I had unlocked another cake, but I know I wasn’t close yet. The screen was only the usual purple background after that, so I closed the game and reopened it only to have the same issue, but now it was saying I had earned yet another cake without having done anything. Please fix this because I can’t play and it’s ruining the fun of unlocking the rest of the cakes.

Very fun, needs work. I love this game but there are still many cake types that show as locked still… and there seems to be no way to open them. Also, the “special” cake types don’t populate either and there is no way to unlock those. No matter how many games I play or cakes I place, nothing seems to count towards unlocking the remaining cakes after Oreo cake. Please fix! If this worked I would give 5 star review easy! This is the only complaint I have regarding the game.

Greedy Update. Was a cool game. Was 5 stars but dropping the stars due to the last update. The new “journey mode” has puzzles that take only a few seconds to solve before moving along the path. Wouldn’t be an issue and I assume they’ll get more difficult as you go, but there’s an ad after every level. Played the new update and started counting- 23 ads in the first 3-4 minutes. Want to go back to the main menu? Ad. Select any of the tabs to see your progress? Ad. Try to get back to the journey? Ad Really a bit ridiculous. Most likely will delete.

Paid for ad free. I paid for the ad free version because I liked this game. Then the newest update changed the amount of coins you get back once a cake level is completed. You use to get a good amount. I watched an ad to play the "bonus level", I won the bonus and it gives you an option to "spin the wheel" for an extra 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x but you must watch an ad to get the bonus. I hit the 5x button but it magically glitches and gives you nothing. I watched two thirty second ads for 20 coins? You lost a loyal customer.

Ridiculous amount of ads. I 100% expect a free game to have ads, but there’s a certain point where it just becomes too much. This game wants you to watch an ad for everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. It prompts an ad every few minutes while you’re playing. You need to watch an ad to spin a wheel. You need to watch an ad to play a level. You need to watch an ad to switch out your cakes. Each and every basic feature is locked behind an ad. The app lets you buy an overpriced premium version, but quite frankly I don’t want to support developers who are so obviously greedy and don’t care about making a quality app.

Funnish. This is a funnish game, the most glaring flaw of which is, for me, the ads that appear for those other games that exist to tell impressionable young women what to think and value, what their physical forms HAVE to look like in order for others to value them, etc.. Such narrow-minded brainwashing tactics sicken me, and this game shows ad after ad for a game of just that type. Not only will I not download games of that type, I also will not keep games on my phone that show ads for games of that type. So I'm deleting this game. It's guilty by association.

Best time passer. One of the best Simple games I have ever played, I’ve been playing for a while now and the new update honestly saved this game for me. I collected all the cakes and was just focused on beating my score since there was nothing left to do. The update added more cakes so you’ll know what I’ll be doing for a while. The newer graphics are gorgeous. I love the smooth merging. I’m glad this game is still being looked after and not just made as a one hit wonder for games. I definitely recommend this game! Although the only downside I have with this game is to remove ads it’s 10$. Maybe if it was 5$ I’d consider it but seeing as how small the game is and how quick it is to beat 10$ is just too much. But to each their own! Still a good game to get.

Wonderful simple game. I’m am writing this review because I have quite enjoyed this game. But the biggest reason I am giving it five stars, is because this game is one of the very few that didn’t lie about what the game was in the ads. I’ve been so infuriated with other games because they are very different from what their ads state they are like. This game is not like other games and is true to its ads. It’s simple, it’s fun, you are constantly cycling out different cake designs. I think it’s worth playing ☺️. Find out for yourself!

Like, but uninstalled due to over-abundance of ads. I have several games I play with ads. I have patience with ads because I opt to play for free. However, this game was more ads than game. Every few moves, there were long ads, sometimes lasting over a minute per ad. Also, some of the ads were on the naughty side. For adults, no big deal, but just want parents of innocent kids to be aware. Maybe these are their tactics for frustrating people into purchasing the game. Although, with the amount of ads, I’d wager they earn more that way.

Locked up my phone and iPad. The major takeaway is that it not only crashed and temporarily locked up my phone (I couldn’t even get to the close app screen), but it sucked my battery from 68% to 35% in a mere 20 minutes with no other apps open. Since closing the game about 20 minutes ago, I’m still at 35%. There’s something REALLY fishy about that. The game would be cute if it were not so EXTREMELY ad heavy. I spent more time trying to exit a “skipped” ad than playing. On some ads, after pressing skip, it goes to wait 5 or the ad store then back to wait before it finally lets you out. Then you get about 5 moves before another ad pops up. There’s so much negativity in how the ads function that playing the game feels more like punishment than entertainment, and there’s no point in telling you what I like about the game itself. It’s not worth the trouble.

Would give five stars. But I hate the ads, and the app won’t even let me pay to get rid of them!! Every time I click any “remove ads” button (whether in settings or the giant button on the home screen), it shows a “waiting” circle that keeps circling and never lets me pay to remove the ads! Please can one of the devs help fix this problem? I’m willing to pay!! Just LET me!!! d:

I like it. It’s simple, and a little addicting to play. My only suggestion would be to make it a little easier to progress. Once a cake is eliminated, it should stay eliminated. It’s almost impossible to progress once you’ve reached the watermelon cake, because there are too many options and very little space to place them. And once you lose it immediately starts over and you just end up losing in the same spot again. It’s getting very frustrating now.

Bugs! Paid for Ad removal but didn’t work.. Frustrating. Loved this game at first and decided to splurge and pay the $10 for ad removal. Then hit the unexpected infinity wall where you’ll never progress and no more cakes will be unlocked. SO disappointed. Have now uninstalled and reinstalled to see if I can play again without activating infinity mode but now it won’t restore my previous purchases and it’s making me watch ads again. Attempts to click on ‘remove ads’ bring up a spinning wheel that says ‘please wait’ but then never goes anywhere even after waiting more than 10 minutes. No way should I have to pay multiple times for ad removal. Super peeved.

The cake is a lie. Possibly the most frequent ads of any game I’ve played. I timed it and never played for more than a minute in between ads, often less than 30 seconds. It’s a fine game but no better or more innovative than others of its kind. It’s a very basic-looking game with nothing special about the sounds or visuals. But I clicked to see how much to remove ads out of curiosity. Ten bucks?? What’s the draw? As an added bonus to the horror, it also caused my phone to start getting warm. Just really a lovely app all round lol. Couldn’t delete it fast enough. I’ve never suspected good reviews so much.

Confused. On my iPad the spin wheel doesn’t work nor does the the store - it’s blank 🙄🤷‍♀️ I’m happy that there was a update but the infinity ring is back on 🙄🤷‍♀️. I don’t understand. The orange cake in the special is named a cherry cake 🤦‍♀️. What’s the purpose of the special cakes?? Can ya please fix your game??? I have 2 cakes that I can’t or don’t know what to do with coz when I tap them they do nothing. I’m not unlocking new cakes when I level up or get a higher score. What’s the problem??? Is it coz there’s too many dang ads to get to pay the game 🙄😡. You don’t have to charge $10 for ad free coz you get more money with all the ads in the game. People can’t afford $10 here $5 there coz everything else has gotten ridiculously expensive!!! I’m about ready to delete the app coz it’s not fun like it used to be. I guess have fun being greedy and see how that far that gets ya 😉

Daily Challenge Broken. I only play the daily challenge of this game. The regular game got to repetitive to me. Honestly the daily challenges are getting to be the same way considering they just repeat the same ones. This isn’t the first time which is why I am writing a review. The daily challenge is broken. You open the app and it says you have already completed that day’s challenge. I am sure it will be like before that eventually things get fixed and then you have to go back and do them all.

wish I didn’t have to delete ….. I actually really enjoyed playing this game. It’s a challenge but still offers the repetitive noises and vibrations that help you relax. It does an “ad break” every so many minutes and that was annoying, but like I said, really enjoyed playing the game so I was tolerant of the ads. Of course you can purchase the ad free version, but that’s not something I do. The most disappointing part was that every time I play the game my phone begins to freeze up. To the point where I’m dropping plates all over the screen where I don’t want them, and then I can’t even shut the app down without having to wait forever for it to unfreeze. I don’t have a super expensive phone. It’s just an iPhone Xr, so it may perform better on a newer version. That’s just my experience. It really is a fun and catchy little game that challenges your thinking, so if your phone can support it I def recommend it.

Great but crashes every few mins; no longer supported?. I love this app but, unfortunately, for the past week, every time I play it CRASHES, usually about 5-6 minutes after beginning playing. This was both before AND after the latest update. I tried to contact support several days ago, BUT it’s no longer listed on the developer’s website as one of their games? That may be why I haven’t heard back (5+ days) - I sent as a general request because no version of Cake Sort is on their drop down list of games. Note: This is the FREE version - I would probably buy the ad-free version if it didn’t keep crashing every time I played. Super bummed - good game but too buggy

Hate to say it, but it’s rigged. Immediately turn off WiFi to play this or ya get hit with ads by the minute and they ain’t the 5-15 sec ones anymore. It’s 45 and then 5 more after a 15 pause, so over a min. After a few moves in a round, the game will give u double plates till u run out of room. It’ll be a clear board with like 2 plates and 6 moves ends ur round. That’s blatant trickery to make u spend money on hammers and stuff to keep the round going. I noticed it at about level 9. I still play though. It’s like bejeweled cause drops encourage losing, but u will eventually pass the level of u keep playing.

Fun but way too many ads!. The game is fun and seems to run well but the ads are driving me crazy! It’s about every 2 minutes there is an ad. They’re usually not more than 5 seconds but when they’re constant, it can get annoying and more times than not, I’d rather just close the game than watch yet another ad. To buy the ad free version is $10, which I feel is way too much for this type of game. They need to scale the ads back. Update: been playing for a while but it has been stuck on the loading page for weeks now! I’ve updated the app and same thing. I hate to delete it and lose all my progress so I’m dropping the stars even more. Super buggy game and I definitely would not be buying the ad free version.

Mindless fun. I’ve spent more time on it than I should’ve…it’s strangely addicting. I’ve played a lot of similar games but this one is somehow the most engaging for me. One thing I wish we could do is pick which cakes we can play after we collect them all. I really like some of the cake designs that were eliminated from the board after certain milestones. There’s also some kind of bug where I can’t view the unlocked cakes in the cake menu.

Buggy AI and not enough cakes. I ran out of cakes so quickly so i guess i’ll be resetting my progress just to feel something again. On the other hand, i ran into an issue twice where when i unlocked a new cake, it wouldn’t get rid of the plates at the bottom with the obsolete cake, dooming my run. Also earlier today i might have moved too fast for the sorting or something but cakes shuffled between four plates for five minutes without ever making a whole cake (which should have happened, wish i recorded it). otherwise i really like the game and hope more cakes come soon because my serotonin levels are dropping quickly.

A lot of potential. I like the concept but the greed of the developer makes the game too hard. 1) you have to buy the ad blocker because as others have said you spend 2X as much time watching ads than playing the game. Ad blocker is 10. 2) but even when you buy the add blocker, you still can’t get access to your winnings unless you pay 3.50 to unlock the piggy bank. And you need your winnings because you can’t beat the levels without the power ups that cost coins. 3) so it’s very unfortunate because it’s a cool concept and would be fun to play. The ads are really the most egregious I have experienced.

Fix needed. This is the 3rd time I’ve installed this app. I know the ads pay for the app (which is fine) but 1st—install @ about level 4 the ads started freezing, restart game and lose the item I was watching the add for Deleted @ lvl 10. 2nd install— had to watch 2-4 videos for 2 out of 3 items I wanted. Deleted and reinstalled a few days later 3rd— not getting the “X” to exit ads & return to game, I timed the last 2 ads and after waiting 3 minutes for “X” I exited game and re-entered lost item & had to try again got the “X” in approximately 1 minute then 2nd ad, 1 minute later I got the item. If these problem get fixed I change my rating

BONKERS amount of game in a simple ads app. I was really hoping to find an app that would just let me watch ads uninterrupted, but this one insists on interrupting my ad-viewing with games. I have to make up to five moves in order to unlock the next round of ads. Why?? In all seriousness, that’s what this game feels like - an ads app that sprinkled some game play intermittently in between. And the “up to five moves” is no joke - you’re just drowning in ads. And if you want to fix it. It’ll cost you a Hamilton. It’s just not worth it. UPDATE: now it comes with full, 30-second ads every five moves!!! Irritatingly, you still have to play a bit in order to see the ads. But they’re a FULL 30 SECONDS!! And you have to watch THE WHOLE THING!! And even better: you get to watch the same ad multiple times in a row! So, if you’re like me and just LOVE ads, you’ll absolutely adore this ads app!!!

Ad breaks disrupt play. This is a fun app, I could spend hours playing. However, the ads are gratuitous. This is about a 10 minute span after I had the initial thought, “Is it me or are there a lot of ads?” First ad starts at 6:43. Then 6:45, place one piece and another ad at 6:45. Ad at 6:47 place one piece another at 6:47. Ad at 6:48. *Stop to record notes* continue at 6:50, immediately ad break then lose. Start new game at 6:50, ad break at 6:51, place one piece and ad break, ad breaks at 6:52, 6:53, 6:54, place one piece and another plays at 6:54. Come on, this is ridiculous. I will have deleted the app by time anyone reads this review. I kept it simply to remind myself to post how annoying it was.

Pretty Good / Different. I like this game a lot, but I too have the stuck cake problem. I’ve unlocked all of them but they say they are still locked. I agree with others that it would be nice to pick your own cakes to use, as I’m getting tired of these same ones. Although I effectively finished the game quite quickly, I’m enjoying playing the endless mode….however, it’s getting somewhat monotonous. I just wish there was….more. More of something….anything. A different board maybe… some kind of extra goals…etc etc. Looking forward to your next set of additions/updates.

Big fan, but could use some critical changes.. Been playing for a good long time now, and I’m happy to say it’s eventually updated with the features I’d like to see, like the ability to swap your cake load outs and such. Would be much nicer to be able to change the whole load out before watching the ad, but the option alone was needed. I’ve collected all the cakes at this point except one, and it looks like some sort of pansy cake. I don’t know if that’s a bug or some secret achievement thing to get but seeing the grey spot in my collection bugs me. The option to disable ads should def be cheaper, and i would like the coins to be cheaper as well, but such is capitalism. One thing I think could be fun is instead of the infinite option at the top when you complete your collection and go for score, it might instead choose a random cake from your collection and swap out the cakes like when you first unlocked it. Could keep the board fresh and make the scores a lot more interesting to get. Overall I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it, and I look forward to where it will go from here!

Fun but needs work (the update kind of broke it). Cute game but needs work. Ever since the latest update it no longer saves my progress. I have to start over from zero when I exit the game and come back. I have no drive to play when it's deleting my progress. Also, I like the addition that you can now pick which cakes you play but hate that it forces you to save with a single change?? I want to see if cakes look nice together before saving– doing it one by one is inefficient and annoying. I won't bother with this feature until it's fixed. I'm not going to save my selection one by one, especially with an ad between each, that's ludicrous.

i need more!. i need more levels- PLEASE. i finished unlocking all the cakes within a week because this is what i play before bed. if you don’t add more cakes… i was thinking that instead of the 1000 point bar just showing an infinity symbol, it could show how close you are to your high score, so then it’s a visual for how close you are to beating your high score. i hope that makes sense and i can’t wait for more!

Has some problems. Like most reviews say, there are way too many ads. Basically every 12 or so moves, you have to watch an ad. There seems to be quite a few glitches in the game play. -Sometimes cakes don’t get eliminated even after extended lengths of playing (over 4 weeks without a cake being eliminated). -New cakes aren’t unlocking even after reaching the stated goal numerous times. -It will repeatedly tell me I’ve eliminated a specific cake but show a different one. At this point, I’ve eliminated the same cake six times in a row. -Occasionally, when you go to place a piece, it will land in a spot other than where you clicked. Overall, the game is fun, but the excessive ads and multiple glitches make it considerably less enjoyable. Reached out to the developer through their website (which doesn’t even list this game) and have yet to receive a response.

Like the game, ton of bugs. I play this game daily (on iOS). I have had several instances where the game will not have ‘updates’ even though I know it does (I play with friends). I lack new cakes and the thing is- I bought no ads. So if I delete it and redownload to get the updates, it won’t restore my no ads purchases and I essentially have to restart to do that. It also does not keep anything I win from spinners or opening chests. I don’t get the special cakes I should have (even if I’ve opened 2 pieces at least ten times) and cakes go away at random (rainbow cake, pancakes). I’ve messaged about restoring purchases for the ads before with no response. Love the game, but that stuff is frustrating!!

Glitches. I do like this game, but for over a week now it has been so frustrating…it’s taking away my new special cake pieces that I earn or just not giving them to me as well as the other rewards from the spin, they’re just not there…I’ll even get a full one to play with then it will disappear. I just got a new cake and all it’s showing on the cake page is an infinity symbol and then I can’t play! My game will freeze and that’s it… even after this update nothing has changed…I’ve lost so many rewards I’m done watching ads for nothing! … I also don’t understand the maps, it’s locked. It tells me it will unlock on level 4…I’m on level 17 and I’ve played them before! Now I can’t! Frustrating!

Fun at first. This was really fun at first. But I feel like the new cakes came really fast and my old ones were eliminated really fast. I’m now looking at an infinity symbol as a goal and I can see locked cakes so I don’t think I’m done earning cakes. But I reached the infinity symbol and it just extends it to a higher score and another infinity symbol. I have played on the same cakes for 2 weeks now without being able to level up and it’s getting boring. May leave it for a while and play something else, I may delete it. Haven’t decided yet.

Love this game, hate the new art and icon. I love to play this app. It’s such a simple yet satisfying game, with enough challenge to keep you wanting more. I was okay with having unlocked all of the cakes, but was annoyed I couldn’t change which ones I had active. It would be awesome to choose which ones you can get in your bakery while you play. And after updating, I’m really disappointed with the new graphics, and I can’t get over how ugly the new app icon is. The old one was so pretty and unique! This one makes it look like all the other blah games you get ads about.

Too hard- too many ads. In airplane mode you don’t get ads but as soon as your turn it off there’s ads every 30 seconds. And even when there aren’t ads there’s pop ups in the middle of you trying to play to promote other parts of the game. Th first few levels are easy enough but when you reach a certain point you physically cannot beat it without watching ads to get the super hammer to resume where you left off. The highest points I managed was 700 something before failing every time because I had airplane mode on to keep ads off. While the game was enjoyable at first it gets frustrating fast to be unable to beat the level without being a slave to the ads.

Not as advertised, and plain bad. I usually don’t complain about ads… and I get it, it’s a free game where ad revenue is probably the only money they’d get from this… but I only played for less than 5 minutes and faced about 3-4 ads, each one being about 30 seconds. That, and another damage to add on is well, I got this from the ads for this game, it looked fun, but of course it’s not as advertised. Of course it wouldn’t be! Why would I think that? It’s like a worse version of all the copy-paste merging games, with tools being bought with the small amount of coins you get, really just another cash grab. It’s tolerable if you don’t care, but it is pretty soulless and draining like the rest of them. Honestly it’s boring too.

A great way to kill time. I’ve been playing this game for several months and it’s really fun, honestly. My one gripe is that there seems to be a bug that makes it so that when you unlock the next cakes after the cinnamon roll one they still show as locked in the cake menu. It’s a small gripe but it would be nice to see all the cakes I’ve worked hard to unlock. Otherwise, this game would get 5 stars.

Like, but ads are too long. I like this game a lot, but the ads are way too long and they play the same ad over and over again (Royal Match). It’s enough to make you nutty seeing the same ad continually. I don’t mind watching some ads to play a game, but this game has way too many long ads. The ad goes on forever. I will put up with it for a little while, because I really enjoy the game, but then I finally can’t do it anymore and go on to play another one of my games. In addition there is a new ad for a game called Splashlearn, and every time it plays the ad freezes up and I have to restart and I loose any rewards points I would have earned. Please fix, or I may delete the app, because it is so frustrating!

Wow, way too many ads!!. First off I love this game and I’ve never really written a review. but this drives me insane and this is what is making me write this review. All the time when you’re in the middle of playing this game thinking about what to do next and an ad pops up!! I swear it pops up every 30 seconds or at least it feels that way!! This is way too many ads at the most inappropriate times. They recently did an update to shorten the ads which was really nice but they’re still way too many ads, I know they are aware that this is a problem and I hope that they take care of it. I’m not looking for something free but when I invest a certain amount of time, I don’t want to be spammed with tons of ads. There are plenty of other games if a company is reasonable about their ads I am fine playing for long periods of time. But when you spam us with ads, or the balance isn’t right with ads we go to other games.

Too. Many. Ads.. AMAZING GAME!!!!!! However you literally cannot play for more than 60 seconds before getting a pop up ad, and the latest update forces you to use data to power these pop up ads, otherwise you get even more frequent pop ups telling you to pay for no ads. Ads award you +5 coins, but coins do not buy anything but power ups in game and half the time they make you watch an ad for them instead of using coins anyway. The coins are, by ALL MEANS, completely and utterly useless. I loved this game SO much until this absolutely PATHETIC update. Used to play this on my bus commute to work, can’t do that anymore. Devs are more money hungry than they are creative. Will be deleting.

Simple yet thought provoking. I love this game. The concept is simple yet it makes you think sometimes. Even the ad breaks can be skipped within a few seconds which is amazing. One day I might pay for no ads but for now the game is great as is. It’s so hard to find games these days that don’t make you watch 30-60 second ads every few minutes.

New Update Makes It Unplayable Offline. I enjoyed playing this game here and there, always making sure to turn off the wifi on my phone because it’s one of those games that suffocates you with ads. The recent update adds a feature where it now constantly searches for wifi and gives you a pop-up after every move, asking you to connect to the internet. There is NO reason why you should need wifi to play this. I’m not about to watch ads every 30 seconds so this is getting deleted. Too bad, because it’s a fun little game otherwise.

Unbearably excessive ads. The game itself is actually a cool past time, but unfortunately the ads not only are constant but also slow down your device to a crawl. As the ads pile up it'll make your brand new m2 ipad pro feel like an iPhone 4. You have to force quit the app constantly otherwise your device becomes completely irresponsive, which makes the CONSTANT ads in the middle of the gameplay even more intrusive and problematic. You can remove ads for 10 bucks but for what it offers I don't think it's worth the price point. Better spend those bucks on something that doesn't make your device cry.

App keeps closing. Love the game, but so many ad’s and it continuously keeps closing on me every 50 seconds or so… gets so annoying

Good - to a point. Cake Sort is a very addictive game, except for freezing at a certain level. The only way to fix this is to delete and upload the app again which is annoying.

Crashing!. The game is amazing and I absolutely love it, I payed to get rid of the ads but every so often halfway through playing it exits the game and makes me wait 10 minutes to play again..I hope it can be fixed very soon!

Great game but…. This game is great, addicting. Although the ads are a pain. I wish there was a way to add specific cakes back in once you complete the levels. There’s also a bug when you get to the next cake and it flickers and freezes

Boring. Used to be a good game but now you never get new plates so the game never changes and gets boring. I noticed you can pay to get new plates and remove the ads but I’ve already paid to remove the ads. The interruption telling me to play a daily challenge is also annoying. I don’t play this game much anymore.

More ads than gameplay. The games actually super fun- but I’m not paying $15 to get rid of ads. The ads themselves come up what feels like every 5 moves and is super disruptive to game play.

Fun but I have some issues with it. I like this game, it’s pretty fun, but I hate the frequency of ads. Initially I turned my wifi and mobile data off to avoid the ads which worked for a few days until the game started to notice and told me I couldn’t play offline and that I have to pay to remove ads. I’ve managed to put up with the ads, but recently I’ve started noticing the use of AI generated art in the game, specifically on those pop-ups telling you to buy an in-app purchase (which in-app purchases in themselves are just a whole other level of icky), and in the banner for an event. This gives me the feeling that most artwork/graphics in the game are made with AI, which rubs me the wrong way especially as I’m an artist myself and I see the unironic use of AI art for commercial purposes as extremely scummy. I’m debating on uninstalling this app and just making my own version of the game with real art and no ads.

Ads every 20 seconds. I enjoy the game but the ads are coming up every 15-20 seconds. I understand this is how you make money but I’m deleting given I spend most of the time watching ads.

Oh, The Ads!. I really like this game, apart from one incredibly annoying thing — the amount and frequency of the ads! I realise the ads are how you keep the game free, but this is ridiculous! You make a few moves and then are slapped in the face with yet another ad! The game itself is cute, and it makes you really think about where you are placing each piece, but it’s incredibly frustrating to have a long ad every 5 or 10 minutes. If your aim is to turn people off your game, then you’re achieving your goal.

Ads annoying but a good puzzle. So the ads are as most said super bad I did pay to get rid of them which honestly is worth it I play this game so much the puzzle factor is good BUT I would suggest making the free daily money grab at least 100 so you can actually use it once and would love to see more cakes/levels to win since there isn’t much I think maybe the game is a bit broken because even cakes I’ve “won” are not in the gallery and the special cakes don’t appear in game at all so why are they even there?

Cake sort. Cake sort is fun, challenging and addictive. I can play for hours straight without stopping. I love how I can go at your own pace and if I go out of the app it won’t clear the board I were playing on so I can go into something else and when you come back it will be exactly how you left it.

Good for people who like to watch ads. Too many ads, game needs a huge fix. Lots of bugs eg notifications that don’t disappear on the caked tab.

Fun but find a better monetisation method. An ad pops up every five seconds and it makes gameplay incredibly annoying. Why not make at the end of each level or show a banner ad in game?

Addictive and well managed. This game is super addictive and easy to waste hours on… good or bad thing? The ads are frequent but short. You can cancel them in five second, none of this waiting for 30-60 second rubbish. Advertisers get their screen time but they’re short enough not to turn you off playing. Such a good formula to manage their advertising. Well done!

So Disappointed Now Ads are Overwhelming. Used to love this app. As said before, lots of ads but they were short & manageable but that has all changed!! Ads are mostly now 30sec or more and only ever credit you with a 50 coin pittance. Regularly need 8 ads to move on 1 move & bee. trying to tough it out but I literally just had to watch 18 ADS in a row to be able to keep going. So this is goodbye from me, You have managed to go from 5 stars to Zero in one update!

To many ads. This game is fun except for all the ads you are forced to watch, if I want the free coins great I’ll watch the ad but to be forced to watch just to play is very annoying. Game is great but glitches. The game is great however it has a large glitch and requires the app to be deleted and reinstalled in order to play again. Glitches: 1. In the main window, you match cakes to acquire the next colour cake. However, it will just repeatedly only give you one colour of cakes to match over and over again with no other colours and you will never be able to build your score up to get to the other cake levels. Once you delete and reinstall the app - it works again. But again it will eventually glitch within a day or 2 and you’re back to deleting and reinstalling it. This exact glitch has happened 4 times in the week since I downloaded the game so its not just a one-off sort of thing. 2. In the challenges - you will go to move a cake and not be able to do so. They are all frozen at the bottom of the screen. Note that force closing the app does nothing to resolve the issue. It has to be deleted and reinstalled in order to play

Few Things….. 1) Being forced to watch an ad every 5-6 moves really sucks even if we get five coins for it. There is no way in hell that I’m paying $13.99 to get rid of them though. That’s ridiculous. 2) Regarding the newest update; there’s a glitch. I’m happy to start getting new cakes again but with the last three I unlocked, it eliminated the SAME cake that was already eliminated some time ago. So it’s much easier to lose or waste all your coins because the board fills up way too fast. 3) Other than that, I do like this game and will keep playing for now though I do hope these things get looked at.

Cloud saves please!!!!. Very addicting game. Really fun so I can forgive the crazy amount of ads wish there was cloud save so I could continue playing on my devices.

A game board or a billboard?. I get that free games have to make money somehow and that’s why you often get ads. However this game throws an ad at practically every minute and it completely takes the fun out of it.

New update made me uninstall. I really enjoyed this game. I played it a lot while flying or travelling in the RV. But they have added an update that gives a pop up if you don’t have an internet connection, sometimes after a single move this popular comes up again and requests you to reconnect to the internet. Immediate uninstall.

Daily Cake Sort. I love this game! From the different cakes, and the fact that we can swap them out to the daily challenges. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed with the month of August that it’s automatically putting a checkmark on the new day. Meaning that I can’t do them anymore and it’ll be a freebie chest at each chunk. Just thought I’d let you know.

Idk how to unlock the rest of the cakes. The game was pretty fun at first but I’ve only unlocked about half of the cakes and have no idea how to unlock the rest. Every time I get to a new goal, it just gives me a new goal… no new cake. I’m bored

This is just ads with game breaks in the middle. You’re spending half of the time watching ads. An ad pops up every few moves. Not even like, between every game. I have rarely seen a small game as greedy as this one. If you’re not connected to the internet (godforbid that if you’re playing outside without data) then you’re pretty much screwed, because a pop up will remind you to buy their game every 3 seconds because you’re playing without internet (so they can’t put ads!) Go find a competitor that offers the same game. Or better yet, another one of the better games in the App Store.

Latest update took all the visuals away. I’ve been enjoying this game for awhile & ad times have started getting longer or aren’t compatible & freeze the screen. Now, the latest update blacks out all the actions as soon as you move a piece so you can’t see what’s happening & are playing in the dark most of the time. What a let down. I’ll be moving on to something else since it’s gone downhill.

Web pages opening spontaneously. I fail to appreciate web pages opening in my browser in the middle of the game. The game itself is enjoyable but with something taking control of my phone in the middle of the game is not. I hope you get this fixed. If not then I will be uninstalling the game.

Quit crashing!. I love this game, but I have had to install and uninstall about 3 times. It will go fine up until approximately Level 18 and just freeze. When I re-install, all progress is lost. There needs to be a way to save progress or bug fixes for this. I doubt I will re-install if it happens again which is sad, cause it’s a really good game!

Good potential. This game would be great as a way to mindlessly relax except for the way too frequent ads. I’ve no problem with ads at the end of each level or to earn extra perks or coins, but every 4 moves makes the game no fun to play. I can’t keep track of my moves/plan ahead because I forget what I was doing. Also don’t mind paying $2.99 to remove ads for games I love, but didn’t love this one enough to be worth $9.99 to remove ads that make the game totally unplayable.

Cant take off ads. I love your game. It makes me think. It keeps me busy when im bored. BUT.. i cant take off the ads. When i click on it to try and pay it just does the spinning time thing and never stops. I sat my phone down and came back 10 mins later and it was still spinning. Fix that and ill change it to a 5.

Some issues. Really fun but crazy amount of ads, I paid to remove them because of the frequency. But the main issue is there is many performance bugs like right now it will say I eliminated the san sebastián cake but show the flower cake, and then it doesn’t take any cakes off the board at all. Makes it really hard to progress because the elimination mechanism doesn’t work properly

new update is UNPLAYABLE. this was my go-to mindless game to play while listening to podcasts and stuff. the new ‘no internet’ pop-up is intrusive, persistent, and COMPLETELY ruins the game. forcing internet connection to show you ads is irritating enough, but knowing the FREQUENCY of said ads is honestly insulting to the player. and i’m not paying for no ads. this game is so buggy i have zero faith i’ll ACTUALLY get what i pay for. deleting this — don’t waste your time.

Why so many ads?. I put my phone on airplane mode and switched off wifi and still got ads… to pay to remove ads is $10?!?! This is ridiculous. You guys need to find another way to make this work. This game is fun and has a lot of potential but it’s so annoying to have to watch ads with no skips or just no way to exit. The ads aren’t even serving a purpose like allowing you access to certain features. They’re just there! This is horrible.

Premium has ads. This game is fun enough, but there are so many ads! I even paid the $10 for “no-ads” which has removed the random ads every 15 seconds, but there are still sooo many ads! Want to change a cake? Watch an ad for each cake you want to change. Want to collect a daily prize? Watch an ad. Want to use your free spin? Watch an ad. $10 is an absurd amount to pay for such a simple game that will still ask you to watch ads for the most basic game tasks.

Addictive game. I’ve been playing for a while and there are ads but honestly they aren’t that bad… until they started with the make money playing games ad, it takes FOREVER to get through and I end up closing out the game and just stopping for the day. Please cut it back to the 5-10 second ads again!

Makes my iPhone XR heat up. Besides the insane amount of ads and the money pitfalls in the entire game, playing this makes my phone heat up within 5 minutes of playing it. If it starts getting too hot, the game also starts lagging and my battery drains rapidly. I put the battery saver mode on but it has not helped at all. Don’t know what the app is processing so hard, but my phone is working overtime to sort these cakes.

serious bug in daily levels. amazing game it is so so fun! but please please please fix the bug in the daily plays section where the user completes/wins a level and app acts like you never played for the day. sometimes i have to play the same level 2-3 times to complete it on the calendar. this happens with certain previous dates that you watch an ad to be able to play as well. it seems like a waste of time. also for the regular play mode, the constant notification to play the daily levels is way too constant. it gets annoying

very fun but glitchy. This is a very fun game to play but it’s got its glitches. I pick up a plate and it drops it back down about 6-8 times before I can move it to the board, and then it drops it on the board in any place before i’m done dragging it to where I want. Even when I use coins to move a plate that is already on the board, it drops it before I let go. It’s quite frustrating.

Enjoyable. I really like playing this game. It always keeps me thinking. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the ads. Every five minutes or so during the game, the ads are constant. For awhile, it kept showing me the exact same advertisement every time. I literally knew it word for word. But I do love the game just not the ads.

Glitching. Great game. I can get lost in it. The game recently started kicking me out as I am playing. There has to be a glitch somewhere in the coding/system. I played with Wi-Fi I get kicked out no difference when I play without. My iPad is completely updated. I cannot locate the support within the app either. I tried app support here and the game is not listed. Great game but Jeeeeeeez Update…obviously I am not the only one experiencing the glitches and nothing is being done. Game is now deleted

Mixed feelings. I enjoy the game as it’s not challenging & a great way to pass the time. However, I have reached the goals a ridiculous amount of times to unlock new cakes & they’re not being unlocked. I’ve written to the game. No word back of any kind, which is really frustrating. The app definitely needs to get an update with the bugs fixed. I’ve also never seen a game with such high prices for so little in return. Very greedy

Love this game BUT. I love this game. Play it all the time even got my sister hooked. Yesterday I updated the game and was able to save a special cake to use in the games. Today I am unable to save. It keeps making me watch ads without actually saving my choices. can you please fix?

Glitches, Bugs. Enjoyable game, love the gameplay. Unfortunately it's constantly getting updates that make the game buggier and buggier. Rewards that don't drop, daily rewards that don't recognize that you play daily, ads that are just inescapable black screens, etc etc. Also...the "spin the wheel" reward system isn't exactly random when it lands on the 75 coin slot (the lowest/most basic) 5 times out of 6.

Fun, but buggy. I really enjoy this game but it’s really frustrating when it closes for no reason, or, as what happened recently, it gets to the opening loading screen with the plate and you sit there for five minutes and no cake loads up and nothing happens and you can’t play. Also, the unlocked cakes menu never shows all the cakes I’ve unlocked, which was all of them. Even the blueberry cake.

Remove the frequent breaks. This game is very addicting and fun to play. My complaint for now is that you don’t get much screen play time before the next app break comes which is super annoying 🙄. As soon as I’ve had a break 30 secs later I’m watching the same break commercial that I just seen 30secs prior. If getting more game time in and less break time this would be a great game.

Too many ads removal fee way too high. I love this game, however, the ads are insane. There is a $10 fee to remove fees. That is very excessive for this type of game. Unfortunately I will probably stop playing rather than pay that amount. $3/4 yes I would go no ads and keep the game

Grid change?. I enjoy playing this game much more than I’d like to admit, but after this last update the grid has seemingly shrunk? If I recall correctly the pan grid used to be 4x6, and now it’s 4x5. I’d honestly put up with the rest of the bugs if I could get the old grid back. It’s just not as fun with less space. Or maybe if there was an option to change the “difficulty” and be able to change grid sizes that way.

Ad-free is a scam. I love this game and they definitely listened to our complaints and adding more levels and the ability to switch the cakes in play but I paid $9.99 for ad-free game play and it’s an absolute scam when you have to watch an ad in order to switch up the cakes in game play after paying $9.99 for ad-free AND what’s worse you have to watch an ad after every cake you switch in the in order to “save” it.

Love the game but…. Love the game but I’m stuck with the same cakes. I’ve unlocked 3 special cakes but they never show up. It would be great to be able to at least select the cakes (once they’ve been unlocked). Still overall relaxing and enjoyable. Looking forward to updates!

The Collections have…. The Collections have taking this game to a whole new level of fun! On this alone, I recommend you trying the game as it makes the different levels with new challenges so much fun!!!

Fun and bug filled. The game itself is fun. But it’s filled with bugs. It crashes a lot. If I play for more than 10 minutes, it slows down and drags badly before finally crashing. It also drains my battery very fast. 1hr of game play can comprise of 70-80% of my battery between charges. I use it on my iPad. There are ad’s running very frequently, which likely causes a lot of the battery drain. In it’s current state, it is not worth the hassle.

Lags Too Much. The concept of the game is fun, but the app lags so much that the game is practically unplayable. After reaching level 6, the app began crashing if I completed too complicated of an action (e.g., completing two cakes in one turn). The ad breaks are annoying, but I could live with it if the ads themselves actually loaded instead of freezing my phone. I’ll consider playing again and amending my rating if the app is updated to run more smoothly.

So fun !!. This game is super fun for when you need to keep your mind occupied! I’ve been playing for a while now and i rlly enjoy it and have all the cakes unlocked, however, now i think it would make it even more fun if i could pick and choose which cakes i could play with out of what i have unlocked 🍰🍰🍰

Life is too short. This seems like a great idea for a simple game. I enjoyed it for about 90 seconds before the first 30 second ad popped. I get it, that’s how you make money, but this game actually seems to have potential unlike all of those basic games that exist only to display ads. If the point is to get as many ad views as possible before the consumer deletes the app, then you’ve wasted what appears to be a good idea for a game. Next time, try less.

I am not in a patient mood rn. I literally loved this game. I could chill out, turn off my Wi-Fi, and sort my cake. But today, when I opened the game, I couldn’t play without a little thing that says I have to pay to be uninterrupted by ads, everytime I had completed a cake. I am infuriated. I thought you were different from the other games…but turns out you are the same as the others. You’re all the same…

Fun…at first. It’s a fun game for mindless activity, but after the first four stages, the ads increase, and there are thirty second ads for every three pies/moves you make. When the length of ads are longer than play time, I delete the game. I’m sure I’m not the only person that does this. Shorter and fewer ads would keep me playing and more likely to pay attention to the ads. With thirty second ads, I’m not even looking at the screen. Too many ads, I’m no longer even playing the game.

Fun, but easy to beat. I downloaded this app around 1 & 1/2 weeks ago, and have already unlocked all the cakes so there’s nothing left to do really cause there’s no longer a goal, it’s just feels like “oh now that you did everything here’s a infinity symbol!”. 😟—— Just in summary of what I wrote, needs more cakes to unlock :)

seems unfinished. i really love this game, honestly. i play it before bed and it’s easy and calming enough that i can play while getting sleepy. but i’m confused about some things. i’ve stopped getting new cakes, and now the points bar just has an infinity symbol that doesn’t change when i’ve reached the point limit to get a new cake. but i know i don’t have them all because i still have those blank shadows in the list. the second thing is that i think the items to buy with coins should be available in the shop, it took me a good while before i realized i had to buy them while playing the game. the ads can get a bit much too. but aside from those things, i really enjoy this game.

Cheated out of cakes I paid for!. For the second time, I finished a holiday pass and did not get all of the cakes. It is ridiculous how much I pay for these passes to not get the cakes when I completed all of the steps in time. This happened to me at Christmas as well where the pass closed and disappeared before I could accept the reward for the third cake. I would really appreciate it if someone could get back to me about fixing this.

There’s games with ads, games with a lot of ads, and then there’s this…,. This is a fun game, even a 5-star, if not for the ads popping up all the time! To remove ads is 2-3 times what most games are ($10), and there’s just not enough depth to justify that. So…you can turn on airplane mode or deal with enough ads that you get frustrated enough to delete the game off your phone. I did the latter. Yikes.

Wonderful game but glitching?. Absolutely love love love this game!!!! But I have it 4 stars because after I hit the forest cake, it switched to infinity mode and won’t let me finish that cake and collect other ones. Please fix this! I’ve tried deleting and redownloading and playing the whole game from scratch. And it still didn’t work. Please help!

I would have given 5 stars but….. I expect ads and there are a lot, but I played long enough to want to pay for ad free. That is until I see they don’t have a flat ad free rate that is indefinite. No they charge by the hour… seriously?? No way no how. $1.99 for 1 hour… $2.99 for 3 hours..$5.99 for 5 hours.. I’ve paid that for indefinite ad free in other games. This is so ridiculous that I am unfortunately going to have to delete this game.. change to a flat rate and many more may pay it because it is a fun game.

Glitchy, too many ads, high price point. The game is fun but it gets glitchy the longer you play in one session. It gets so slow you have to hard reboot, which is a bummer. Also I don't mind ads and have paid for an ad-free experience in other games, but $10 is too high a price point for what this game is, and ads are too frequent.

Skewed bonuses. The bonus reward system moves faster over the higher multipliers, which is not a big deal. The bar is rigged to give you the lowest multiplier - it will stop dead over the x2 when it had been counting bonuses on a slide until it stop scale, and then cour based on where you pressed stop if it would slide into a big multiple.

Unbelievable Amount of Ads. There are too many time passing games that are similar to waste time on a game that has this absurd amount of ads. It is almost unplayable. Every 5-10 moves you’re interrupted by ads. I understand ads for additional moves, boosters, extended time, whatever. But the point of the game is to relax, play a puzzle, and why would anyone pay for ad free when there are THOUSANDS of games to choose from? It really ruins the experience.

Awesome!. This game is the perfect type of these games. The idea of the game is just fun. Super creative and addictive. Plus, it has ads like every other game like this, but they are very reasonably placed and you can exit them within seconds. Other games will ruin a perfectly good game by placing ads between every move you make. Keep up the amazing work!

Addicted, but technical issues. I’m really enjoying playing this game, but when an ad appears, my screen often locks up, and I actually have to uninstall the program and reinstall it. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Great Time Burner, Super Buggy. I really enjoy playing this game, however it is frustratingly buggy. I’ve reached out to their customer service after purchasing a pack that didn’t show up in the game. No one ever replied. Just now, I earned 3 rewards, used 1 and it took away 2. If you don’t spend any money on it or care about earning points you’ll be fine. If you do either of those things, stay away.

Remove ads is broken. I am addicted tk this game but I hate ads so much, but every time I try to buy no ads jt never loads. Take my money please!! I cannot watch ads any longer 😭 if I see one more maceys ad I’m gonna gouge my eyes out and never be able to play cake sort puzzle again. Please!

new update is awful. I understand that companies need to make money, but if I'm in an area without internet, this game will remind you with a pop up after nearly every single move now. It has become completely unplayable, and the amount of ads when you are using internet are completely unreasonable. I had thought about buying the ad free version before, but I will never spend money on an app that is so desperate to make a quick buck that they'd ruin their own game in the process.

So many ads!. I actually love the game but having ads stop play every 2 moves is ridiculous. If it was an ad every time a game or round ended or was restarted I would get that but every TWO moves! If you accidentally click on bakery you are stuck and you can’t leave without closing the app or watching an ad. And removing ads cost $7.99! If it was less than $2 I would not hesitate. This app had so much potential but it’s just a cash grab. Capitalism at its finest. I’m very close to deleting it off my phone

It seems they always find a way to ruin a good game.. I like this game but I don’t understand why they allow so many ads. You spend more time watching adds than playing the game. They should at least allow you to finish one game and then do the commercial. But watching 5 ads before I finish one game is not my cup of tea. I will pass on this game.

Way too many ads!!. I don’t usually write reviews, but this game made me frustrated due to the sheer amount of pop up ads. The game itself is fun and the animations are satisfying, but there is a pop up literally every minute. When I turned off Wi-Fi to avoid ads, it wouldn’t let me play! There is also no way to control the type of ads you see, and it costs $7.99 to remove them. Not worth it :(

Glitch. I found out we can now select the skins for the cakes. Every time it tries to show me how to do it it gets stuck on click and drag dark circle around where you must click. I cannot use the option yet I keep closing and reopening the app but it is still doing it.
