Not so sure I made a good choice. I’m sorry to say that I am afraid I made a bad decision to get this app. Every plant that I have checked on has always got the same symptoms with no clear remedy to help the plant. When looking at the advertisement, you had wonderful solutions such as coffee grinds added to other things, etc., but mine never gives me anything but “ your plant has brown spot, it should get better in time”. Just a little disappointed.

Absolutely Wonderful Resource. I am delighted with this app. It has finally helped me to identify plants that I have had for more than a decade but never knew what they were called and thus never knew what they needed for optimal care. Furthermore, I very much appreciate the categorizing of care and ability of the app to keep my personal indoor and outdoor garden organized and updated re: watering and fertilizing. The health scan is a brilliant concept and appears to be correct ~ 85% of the time. I believe that much of the 15% off component is also largely contributed to the user’s photo ability, revealing the full plant and nothing but the plant, no background plant’s included in scan photo, close enough, clear enough, etc…, etc…The health care suggestions are spot on. And all the information is quite helpful. Even if you already know it, the material keeps you more vigilant and gives the user confidence. Ultimately, other than being such a hardworking tool with lots of capability, the app is totally fun to use. Most highly recommend!!

App won’t let me add pictures of my plants. When I purchased this app in April 2022, I could take pictures of my plants and add them to my “places”. Now I am not able to add my own pictures. I can take a picture for the “finder” nut when I select the plant type it uploads that picture and doesn’t prompt me to add my own picture.

Queen awesome.. The other plan app to be the best apps of the world but they are disasters but this one is the key to keeping your plants alive follow this one and I am sure you you’ll have good luck and good plants plants it’ll tell you how often to water mist fertilizer rotated and more to your plants so I recommend it

Not all homes are the same. Great app but knowing the layout of a home should be taken into consideration. It says kitchens are recommended places for plants. I have no windows in my kitchen, it’s very dark. And bedrooms are not recommended because there is not enough light even tho it has an east facing window with plenary of light. Way more than my kitchen. It is an apartment and I only have east facing windows with no trees or foliage blocking light from coming inside. My plants tribe in my bedroom and will die in my kitchen.

Love this app!. I love everything about this app, it turned me into a green thumb 😁 only thing i would add on there is a way to postpone watering. Some of my plants don’t dry out in the set amount of time between some waterings. I like to keep a set schedule, however, if some of them still have moist soil I would push watering a day or two away from usual schedule. So would be cool to have a “postpone” button to push it a few days after normal watering day and move it to following day until watered.

Dormant types. I use this program, Plant Parent, daily. I find it somewhat inconsistent with naming some plants but that is not my main problem with the program. It would be very helpful to be able to sort the plants I own into summer dormant, and winter dormant and those that don’t go dormant. A tab like the one for placement would be great. Thank you Joyce

good app but one thing!. the app works great its helped so much especially with my monstera you have a 7 free day trail then you pay for a year but this app works great itll scan you plant and say it looks health if its cared well for but if it dose not look good on one of the leafs or something of the plant ZOOM into it ok for developers -• this app is awesome thank you so much but could you turn down the price am looking for a-plant app thats completely free and works this one works but the year payment? mabye if you could lower the price down?? thank you!

Almost there. I got this app to diagnose issues with my houseplants. It was very to take pictures and get a diagnosis. Mostly under watering but also in some cases more light needed. I’m grateful for the reminders feature as I had been watering all plants on a weekly or biweekly schedule but now feel. More confident that the schedule is based on the plant and season. By biggest complaints are with reminders. There isn’t a way to check them off as done. Seems like simple functionality. Also if I fertilize a day late I can indicate which plants I fertilized and update the schedule. It’s a all or nothing override to the schedules for watering and fertilizing. Some work here and this would be a five star app.

Reminders are a terrific help.. I have been using your app for about a week, and I am very impressed with all of its features. You have helped me the fungus, one of my rosebushes and you have enabled my butterfly plants to begin to flourish. That reminder feature is a great help. Thanks again look forward to continuing to use this helpful app.

Plant Parent app. I really like the app. It tells you when to water & fertilize the plants. Also if your plant looks sick the app will help you find the reason it’s looking sickly. Some time you get busy & forget how long it’s been since you fertilized the plants, this app will tell you what you need to do next for healthy plants. My plants are looking better because of the reminders this app sends you.

Very helpful for non-green Thumbers!. I have found this app very helpful in giving me a quick idea on what is going on with a problem plant that is distressed or having issues. I also appreciate this app for helping me understand how to take care of various plants since I do not have a green thumb, I need all the help I can get! Recommended!

Not free. I don’t know if the app changed since some of these reviews were written, but this is not free. There is a 7 day trial, just like all the other plant apps, and then you need to pay. It does come up right away every time you open the app. Disappointed! This is one app I would be willing to view ads to use, but not pay regularly. I wouldn’t use it often enough.

Dracaena Margenata Magenta. One of my favorite plants, but I have trouble making them grow. They just stay the same size all the time. Even the main stem remains on the thin side. Do I need to change the pit size or feed it more often or feed it some special food? I have tried plant stakes, liquid food and food that comes in little beads for top feeding. One thing I love about this plant is that at Christmas I set my Nativity under it and it looks as though the characters are in a natural environment. So I sometimes have to buy new plants that look full enough. That happens every few years, but it can’t go on forever. I have only so much space and would like to try other plants as well. Thank you.

Really?. The first two pics that I uploaded, were of the same kind of plant. There is definitely something wrong with them (which is why I downloaded the app). I received two different plant names, for the same plant. Both replies said they are healthy ( leaves are puckered). So took a pic of an annual that is severely distressed, as a test. Received reply with yet again, the wrong name of the plant and telling me it was “healthy”. Give me a break. Cancelled my subscription and deleted the app the first day that I downloaded it.

Love this app!. I investigated several other apps before purchasing this one. The others were a) Outrageously price and/or sorely lacking in features. OMG this app keeps me on my toes! I never realized what all I should be doing for my plants! I have only been using less than a month and the difference in my plants is amazing! Some of my plants are quite old and look so much better. If they could, I am sure they would thank me or maybe even hug me?!

Good app BUT. I went ahead and paid for the subscription because i thought i could get expert help with a few problem plants i have. I uploaded the pictures and left the information in the comments but it’s been a few weeks and no one has gotten back to me. I’ve done it 2X and no response. So be weary if you think you’ll get a response back, seems like that part of the app doesn’t work.

Really horrible advice. I used the app to help me get my plants healthier. It told me that they weren’t getting enough sun. So I moved them to the patio. It said 4-6 hours of full sun. After less than an hour I checked on my plants. One was fully drooped over. I immediately took it inside. It was burned on many leaves. Now, days later, I get a diagnosis that says it is under-watered and needs to be watered more frequently! That’s insane. It wouldn’t look like this if I had just kept doing what I was doing on my own. This is the worst app ever. I wish I could get a refund. Total waste of my money.

Worst plant app. I used this for a few months with all of my plants and it never showed me the plant that I had on the first second or third try of taking the picture. It also told me to water them once a month for my succulents then I realized that my plants were dying and the only water to save them was by watering them more often but I worried that I could over water them so I didn’t because the app said not to. Also it would diagnose my plant and give me solutions that never worked so in conclusion, don’t get this app it killed my plants.

Pretty Good. Really enjoy using this app so far but it’s missing a feature to check off water or fertilize as completed. Some of my plants are at work and need to only be watered on certain days. It would be helpful to check off when done so to restart the days between watering.

Almost perfect!. I have greatly enjoyed this app as I learn more about plants (and grow my collection). The biggest thing missing from this app is the ability to mark individual plants as watered on any given day. There is an option to mark plants watered when scheduled or to mark all as watered. There should be a way to adjust this. Sometimes I miss a day or feel the need to water a day or two early, and I would like my watering schedule to be accurate. The price seems to be a little steep for a lack of personalization, but I do think it’s a valuable resource. I really enjoy learning more about my plants and the auto-diagnose tool.

*****. I really like this app. Had a subscription to others but wanted something better to care for my indoor plants, patio plants and greenhouse plants. I like how I got to add all my house plants and you even had a menu of rooms. I liked that the app let me set up my plants and get used to the app. I was not rushed into subscribing right away. When you did ask me to subscribe it was under $30 a year, others were $35 $40. *****.

Push notifications. I downloaded these app about a week ago and love it so far, I just wished it would send push notifications, sync with my calendar, and allow me to change location from indoor to outdoor. And a progress report on how sick plants are doing. Other than that, these app has been right on on identifying my plants. Didn’t realize how many house plants I actually had until I got these app.

Frustrating. I love the diagnostic feature of taking a picture of a plant and getting it analyzed. That is what prompted me to purchase this ap. However, the reminders to water and fertilize don’t make sense. When I looked at your guidance on watering succulents in the winter you recommended once every 30 days. But then I get messages that it’s time to water about every 10 days. Secondly, I don’t like the “guilt” messages! “your plants need you!” Or more dramatic “your plant is sick or dying”. Guilt is an awful thing to lay on people.

Happy plant, happy plant parent. This app is great. Before having the app, I guessed when to water my plants. Now the app reminds me on a perfectly timed schedule. It does that for fertilizing too. This is what I wish I had known when I first signed up: how to transition from when I last watered my plants to the schedule they created.

So far so good. I really like this app so far. Spot on with the name of the plants I have. Also spot on with what is wrong with them. Suspected not enough light &/or not enough water & that’s what the app said. So far no major problems with any of my plants. Will have to wait & see how it goes if I have a sick plant.

One of the better plant care apps. I like that a lot of things can be done without needing the subscription, but the subscription still adds a lot of value for the price. Some apps have too much of a paywall and not enough benefits for a high price. However, it’s not perfect. I’m missing a more comprehensive plant dictionary (they’re missing a lot of plants so I can’t add some of mine to the app) and a “snooze” button for the reminders (sometimes my plants don’t need water or fertilizing yet but I still have to mark complete).

Useful but could use some updates. I’ve recently been trying my hand at gardening after many failed attempts. I like the plant identifier and the way you can add your plants to different sites. I also love the journal because i can take photos and compare them to see the progress or decline. The reminders are great but I tend to forget to water on the exact day of the reminder. So this brings me to a suggestion. Suggestions: an option to mark the plant “watered or done”, so it knows when to remind me based on the actual day I marked it watered. Currently it just tells me to water every specified number of days but if I miss that mark by 2 days then the next reminder will be -2 days from when I actually watered it. Another suggestion I have is a “rain” option or a “site watered” where I could mark just my backyard “site” “watered” so my next reminder will be set based on that rain or watered day. I hope I was able to explain that clearly. I look forward to having progress in my gardening using your app.

Everything healthy….even dead plants and Astro turf. I was excited for this app. Some of my plants are not doing well. I checked out approx 20 plants. All of them had the same diagnosis - healthy. OK..Then, I tried out some totally dead plants -Healthy. Cool.. then tried the fake grass on the patio - healthy. Strangely, everything is healthy, dead plants and all…..such a relief. I was worried my dead plants and Astro turf weren’t doing well…whew…..the good thing is that I only paid for a week to get this valuable info…..great job guys…..

Deceiving expert feature. I don’t usually write app review but this is too bad and outrageous. While there are so many apps out there that can provide things like auto diagnosis, plant identifier etc, what this app interests me is its “Ask our experts and get quick personalized solutions” feature. When I clicked on this “ask our experts” feature, it prompted a “paid for it” page where it says “pay $29 and get help from experts - it’s $0.07 per day”. I loved this and I paid for it. I asked the expert and the person gave me back 2 emails, which is good. However, what I didn’t know, and this app doesn’t want to tell you, is that you only get 2 inquiries PER YEAR. So instead of $0.07 per day, it’s $15 PER EMAIL RESPONSE!! So even if the response was totally useless and you wanna ask a follow up question, NO YOU CANNOT! What’s even worse and also a really bad strategy, is that it doesn’t give you the option to buy more inquiries. I mean, it’s bad enough to trick you users into paying for something kinda fake, it’s helpless to do nothing about it, no follow up plan, no monetization, no up sell. Just getting your users stuck there is the worst experience. Too bad, too bad.

Cool app. I really like this app a lot. I like that there are care plans for sick plants, how-to guides for each new plant that you scan in. I’m giving it three stars, however, because I cannot find all of my plants in the database and I am unable to edit the watering check off list. Sounds convoluted, I know, but sometimes I don’t water all of them, but there’s no way to indicate that on the watering schedule. You either check that they’ve all been watered or none at all…hard to keep the schedule accurate. Otherwise, wonderful app.

Plant not doing well-I am only getting name and no suggestions. I assumed that I could photograph each of my plants that was not doing well, probably from lack of adequate light. The name of your program strongly suggests that you make direct suggestions for helping each plant thrive That worked for my first plant. For my second berpalr bromeliad which should be bright red, your program gives me a name and photo of a healthy bromeliad of its species but NO suggestions so I will try more light . I am canceling your misleading and poorly programmed offering. Try again!

So far….. Pretty helpful. I think I like this app after trying another that got the identification process all goofed up🧐. I have one tiny suggestion…. Can you add an option to settings that permits the user to choose either celsius and fahrenheit? Thanks for a useful app but I won’t be spending $30/ year😵‍💫

Help me ALOT. This Ap has helped me ALOT ! I Can also speak to an expert which always helps. However I wish there would be individualized attention per plant. Not all my plants need watering daily and some need more light as suggested but I can’t move them so I would like an option if possible. Other than that I would recommend that everyone use it and pay the yearly membership it has helped me as a new plant parent. I have 56 plants. ❤️

MrsCostaLotLess. Love this app it has spot on information. It’s so easy to navigate. I really miss my big garden. This would have been so helpful I recommend this to anybody who has questions about what type of plant or what is it’s health. It’s amazing and helpful. 100⭐️. Peace

I’m in love with this app. This app is amazing. I finally know all my plants by name (simply took a quick pic and voila - all I need to know about that plant appears, including whether it is sick or now. The care plans on how to make each plant healthier and the reminders for watering and fertilizing are spot on. The only reason I gave it 4 star is because many of the plants are being watered automatically. I can’t select which plants I wish to set water reminders for and which one not. Other than that this app is perfection !

Good. I love how accurate it is and how convenient and easy it is to be operated and also love how it folds up information from how to germinate to take care and diagnose what’s wrong with your plant and also how we recommend white fertilizer to give it in different stage I would recommend it to everyone and I have already doing that slowly putting everyone onto it. It’s a wonderful app. Keep up the good work and please keep it free for us and I was.

Nice App! But costly to people who disabled or earn a fixed income!. Would love to see a way for people who earn little money for what ever the reason: disabled, elderly/ fixed income, students, ….. to be able to afford this app. Everyone plants or has plants but not everyone has access to information available to the upper class.

Helpful App. This app is extremely helpful and affordable especially for a novice plant person like myself who is either guilty of over watering or under watering my plants. I’ve seen some plants I thought were dead and forgotten, fully recover solely following the schedule set forth by the Plant Parent app. The notifications and diagnose for my plants are extremely helpful.

Great helper. I like the way this app gives you a daily reminder for the activities for each of the plants that you add in. And I like that I can add in my own pictures of my plants. So I am enjoying using this app and I haven’t killed a plant yet!

They fixed it!. I posted in my prior review that this app was almost great, but the date was wrong, which meant the reminders were wrong for the time of year! Anyway… they fixed it! Thx creator! Now if you could just pretty please add dining room to the list of room lol, I’ll be sooo grateful! Thx again!

Plants. I just put it on my phone. I’m on the seven day trial and so far it has been wonderful. I’m identifying and finding out what’s wrong with some of my plants which is great so I can fix them instead of letting them die from whatever disease or thing is on them highly recommend it so far. Ask me again in a month and we’ll see.

Best of the Best. I totally love this app!! I can’t even start to count the number of my friends and family plants I have saved by using this AMAZING app. It provides EVERYTHING you need to become an efficient plant owner. I first tried the trial version then converted over to the subscription! If you really love and want to grow plants, this is ABSOLUTELY the app for you!!!!

Cool App. This app is cool but some of the settings are off. Plants are unique and I find that I have to adjust the settings in order to track when I water my plant. I use this app more for tracking then anything else, that feature is really good.

A share option. I love love love this app, the free version is amazing and doesn’t throw the paid version in your face 24/7, it also doesn’t put a cap on diagnosis’s number of plants etc. unlike a lot of other apps, it genuinely seems like the developers wanted to help people and their plants and don’t just want money. However I think a cool thing to add would be a share feature for the plant lessons let’s take “Houseplants 101: how to turn your brown thumb to a green thumb” I’d love to share that with my mom but there’s no way to do that. Overall, great app even with no money involved!

Lifesaver. Love the daily reminders of which plants are due for watering. Tons of other great features such as the sites of your plants, fertilizing schedule, and even a rotation reminder. Love that I can snap a picture of any plant and get a full background on the plant. The only thing I wish the app had was the ability to save/store the plants that you have taken pictures of. I would like to be able to refer back to recall the name of the plant, etc. Overall, love the app. I use it daily.

I’ve killed so many plants!. I’ve been overwatering and putting plants in the wrong spots for years. This app really helps to get things in the right place and water/fertilize properly. I’m no expert, but everything plant I own right now is thriving! Thank you!

Questions.. I love this app. But don’t like the reminders. But that’s just me. Could you add photo Id of insects and how to deter or give them some plants to eat but not all. Tell why they are eating the plant. Give more knowledge about nature’s ability to know things about an ecosystem. Use scientific articles like viruses caused by aphids transmitting does that happen with water and air contaminants messing up organic and inorganic chemistry, then messing up soil releasing new or old diseases to aphids and them transmitting or eating more to escape? How can gardeners balance the health of their water and air? What plants do their birds like to teach birds to forage again more?

Peace Lily information given. You say the bloom time is in the Spring/Summer. However, even though my Peace Lily plant is healthy it has no signs of the lilies, nor blooming of any? And it is July now? Can you offer more info about the exact blooming seasons, and/or process? Also, what is the reason a healthy plant isn’t blooming any (lilies) flowers? Thank you!

No useful info. It is not user friendly. The option to add a plant doesn’t work instinctively. After many attempts, I finally found a way to do it but, by that time, I forgot how I got there. I am sorry to say, I found it frustrating. Diagnosis was the same for every plant I added. “Yellowing leaves is a natural life cycle of an aging plant”. Another app I tried , Blossom, diagnosed the plants with either root rot, over watering or lack of nutrients. Which nutrients was never disclosed. The plants were impatients & elephant ears. I canceled my free week subscription in less than 24 hours.

Review and suggestions. I like the app but not all the plants identify exactly. I am a philodendron collector and a number of my plants app identified as heart philodendron but they are not. This included philodendron Brasil, philodendron micans, philodendron Mexicanum to name a few. Would be great to see more philodendron varieties added. I have a variegated peace lily I believe called a Picasso but only identified as the usual peace lily. Aside from that some good features! Cheers Michelle

Weeds. Doesn’t say if a weed or not. Just tells you what sort of plant it is ,

App not working. Hi, I am having a lot of problems with your app and even though I have updated it today, it still not working. I have tried to look for your website but cannot find where to access contact information for you. Up until my problem started, I really loved using this plant identification app and having access to all the information on each of my plants. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the App, but it still won’t work for me. When I open it, and click on the plant that needs attention, it closes the app down which means I have to restart again and this is the only way I can use it but it’s not much fun having to do this. Some advice would be appreciated at this time.

Josie. Loving the help this site gives. My plants are now thriving much more successfully.

Lemmon tree. The tree is doing very well, thanks for your advise

Immediate sign up and payment required. I don’t mind paying for something that is good, give me the trial first and then charge me the $50 per year. Flagrant false advertising. It’s a money making scheme that relies on people forgetting they’ve signed up. I’ll be finding a different app to try out.

Great app. I really love this app however recently i have found that i cannot take a photo of a plant with the app camera - i have to take it on my phone and then open the pic in the app. I have made sure that the app has camera access in settings but this hasnt helped. Any suggestions? This app has been so helpful and my plants have really benefited from it, thank you!!

Loving this app. A lot of the features are free to use and would update once I have the chance

App doesn’t works. The app works for few days only! Once you pay subscription it stops! Any recommendations for any other app that is actually works would be helpful :) Not happy with it as all my gardens plants are now deleted. :( Not recommended from myself

Absolutely worthwhile. I absolutely love this app. My plants are thriving! It’s been so handy to have the reminders and how to help care for all of my plants better. I wish that you could share your subscription with another person, my partner and I love gardening but we have different phones. It would be awesome to be able to share it between us for reminders.

Not FREE. Advertises as free but when you’ve downloaded it tells you have a 7 day free trial then will be charged. Not happy.

Plant parent. This app helped me a lot when I needed to find out what plant it was so I could get it for my home god job plant parent!

Learning how to really look after my plants - finally. Love it. My plants are starting to thrive. Lots to learn.

Terrific for identification and care. I’d love it to accommodate so there’s hemisphere seasons as well as offer Celsius temp options

Very unhappy. Very unhappy I didn’t realise I needed to pay a subscription which is automatic. I’m having difficulty canceling this. I guess it’s a good fundraiser for you even just to get my first month’s subscription which I don’t want to pay. Very unhappy

So helpful to my garden. It tells me about my plants. SOOOO GOOD

Can’t cancel during free trial. I cancelled my subscription during the free trial then still got charged for a years membership! This app is a scam!

Plant parent. Absolutely love this app. Finding out about so many plants and how to Look after them. Love it! Thx Jane Rikard-Bell

No Cancel opportunity. It’s not free at all and now I can’t cancel the app

Not for country’s other than USA. No option to change from imperial to decimal Does not read my weather accurately I have wasted my money

Mistake. I mistakenly downloaded this app and need to delete it immediately please advise how to do this?

So easy!!!. My daughter introduced me to ‘Plant Parent’! I’m thankful that she did! It’s so easy to use, and the information is so usable and helpful. I recommend using this app, it actually works!

Plants. Good reminder when to water. Would like to know when to feed the plants

Sharing plant data and caring info with family. Dear Plant Parent App Team, I am a dedicated user of your app and recently signed up for a premium family subscription with my partner. I'm curious to know if there's a way to share plan data between us on the app. Specifically, I would like to see the plants my partner has added to their list and vice versa. We love having multiple profiles, but can we sync our accounts and share plants, reminders, and caring routines? We want to monitor our plants' progress together without double entering and managing the data twice. Is this functionality available on the app? Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your response.

It’s not great. The app doesn’t send reminders, you have to log in daily to check. It also increases the time between when you have to water them next, which is good, if you have plants that are going to need changes in water, I’ve killed 2 plants following this apps instructions. I don’t mind how it lets you know if it’s going to rain soon or if it thinks your plants need more sunlight in the room. I’m confused thought at how it can predict if it’s going to rain in my area but can’t understand that it’s reaching above 35*c and my plants might need to be watered more frequently. Regardless, unless you check the app daily or every two days, you’re more than likely to forget/miss your next watering session.

My Helper. My helper thank you for making it easier to look after my plants this is wonderful and easy to use

False advertising. You advertise this as free but it isn’t free at all it costs $45:99 a year????

First weeks outside. It’s looking happy & rained last night & today

Best plant app!. Most plant apps need you to sign up to a membership or whatever, but not this app. It’s so incredible and has so many features. A smart plant AI expert, sickness diagnosis, plant identification, tips specific to your plants and so much more. And it’s free! It does ask you if you want to sign up, but you can just click close if you’re not interested. Overall, this is such a genuinely amazing app that has helped me identify and care for many plants. 🌱🫶

Still Charged after cancellation before expiring day. I was charged even if I cancelled my subscription a couple of days before trial period over. Very upset and disappointed. This app is like a scam. Please do not do a free trial.

Is this a con?. Hi By mistake I got conned into installing the app and now find that I will be charged if I don’t unsubscribe within a week. What a con. There appears to be no way to do that. Their website is well hidden. So how do I this??? Denis.

Cannot wait even contact!. Trying to contact to cancel an account i thought I had already. Cannot find a suitable email. The one I did find bounced back. This app seems a bit dodgy…

Update Ruined It. This app used to be great. One of the recent updates ruined it. You can only see and action reminders for today. So if you didn't attend to your plants yesterday or the day before, the overdue tasks no longer show.

Calling you the best. Your super good good app

Not Free. Claims to be free, free only for trial period. You don’t find that out until after the download.

What I’ve always needed. I am LOVING this app! I love my plants but care has always been a bit hit and miss. Now I feel confident. Thanks so much. My favourite is the ability to take a photo to find out what it is - especially good for weed identification. I wish I could change the temperature to Celsius though (Australia), and add in the actual temperature. We live in a cool mountain zone and the temp is wrong on the app.

Scam. Do not download this app it tells you free 7 day trial then you will be billed ! I was billed $31 straight away so I thought I try the app seen as I was already robbed & it’s absolutely rubbish, so many false readings & information & paypal denies a refund so stay clear & google other apps that actually work

Watering schedule. I would like to be able to manually adjust what days I water my plants. Then I would be able to combine watering a few at once rather than it being determined by the day of the week on which I initially listed them in the app. Finding a'nickname' in orders to submit a review shouldn't be this difficult 😣

Only a trial. I just do not know how to cancel this App despite being directed to Apple unsubscribe directions. Did not realise it was only a trial when I downloaded it.

This is a racket. How do I unsubscribe before starting the trial without having to email you??? You should not offer a free app then following download, lock-in users to a paid subscription. This is manipulative and dodgy.

Data mining app. I don’t even think this what it says it is. I downloaded then discovered that it would cost a small fortune. I was intending to use it every now and then, as I am not a destroyer of plants. To my disappointment, I was unable to delete the app. Thus leading me to believe that the sole purpose of this app is to get access to your data. If anyone has a way I can get rid of this parasite app, please share.

Took money without permission.. I started a free 7 day subscription and they immediately took a years cash from my apple account. I tried to contact them through messenger but was ignored. This is a scam.

Julie. I love this App it gives so much information snd reminders when to care for my plants I love the ask a expert feature my reply was ver fast I have everyone I know using it as well Love it

Fantastic App. Accurately search for type of plant. Reminders to water and fertilise each of them. Great for indoor plants which don’t require much water.

Plant Parent. Excellent Parent! Teaches everything you need to know to keep your plants healthy and how to rescue those that need it too! Highly recommend.

Ms. I have just noticed a glitch in your system.. It mentioned as we are moving into colder months we are watering less.. In fact we are heading into summer..should we not be watering more?

Purpelady. I just love this app. I have only used it once and wish I could afford to gg Premium but I cannot at this time. How long can I continue to use it as free app? I am worried that all of a sudden I will get charged. I have read and reread the info on your site but can’t seem to find how long I can use it.

Tips and tricks. I’ve bought plant parent app last month. In the advertisement/description it shows various tricks to cure your sick plant such as pouring sugar water or patios water and so on. However I have not seen it received any of these remedies so far. Please explain what I need to do. Thanks Regards Sabah

Conned. The ad said this app was free. I sign up and find it’s free for one week. Now I’m struggling to cancel it.

Not happy, with the performance of this app.. I have canceled my subscription as the app does not perform as the ad says it will. Not fit for purpose.

The only app you need ❤️. The best I have used for plants 🌱. After using it for a long time I recommended it to my friends and they love it too. Recognized all the plants correctly. I have saved my indoor and outdoor plants in the app and it reminds me when to water them. It’s free for plant enthusiasts like me but you can take it the next level and get subscription. I am sure it’s worth it. Really no brainer, get the app. You will love it ❤️

Amazing!. This app is actually super handy!! It keeps me on the ball with watering, feeding nutrients and will let you know if your Plant is sick! Then it’ll suggest ideas on how to treat your plants, if sick. It’s really user friendly as well!

Don’t buy it. Because you have to pay money to get tips on how to look after it

Horrible!. Does not work to identify most plants and the features are useless. You’re better off using Google. Epic waste of money! Beware if the 7 day trial.. I did not get notification of the trial expiring despite requesting it and now I’m stuck paying for garbage!!

Annuler abonnement. Je ne veux pas être facturé pour cette application, comment je fais pour l’annuler

Identify plants is what I want not how healthy they are. Not happy

Not Impressed. On the free trial, I was charged $14.68 immediately. I tried one plant with a sick fruit on it and it said it was healthy. Not renewing….

Good but. I like the app, it helps me understand better the needs of my plants. One of the things I like the most is the reminders for watering and it builds a schedule. However, it has a big problem and is that it does not allow me to say when I watered the plant so it becomes useless if I miss one reminder as there’s no way of updating the schedule.

Ce n’est pas gratuit !. Essaie de 7 jours et après $37.99 par mois

Option to cancel not available. Free trial for 7 days but required to cancel in 6 days which is not an issue if you can figure out where the cancel subscription option is is. I had downloaded app and am unable to cancel since it does not appear in subscriptions menu. The option to cancel subscription is so well hidden it is not visible. Escalated to apple support who are unable to see the purchase.

Terrible. These subscriptions are getting out of hand. The information provided is no better than a google search. Your paying for a glorified calendar reminding you to water your sick plant.

Free for 7 days. App is only free for seven days and then auto renewal kicks in unless you cancel before. Once you find where to delete account, that is automatically created for you and click “delete account” no confirmation is given. You can go back in and option to delete is still given, suggesting that your account. Any still be active. Again hitting the link does nothing. This has left me feeling uneasy. I thought it was a free app. I hope I have not lost money on this.

DONT DOWNLOAD. I downloaded this”free” app and it was a 7 day trial. Trouble is there is no way to cancel the free trial. It is an in app purchase. I have reported it to apple but don’t download the app. Plus I didn’t find the app at all helpful. Which is a shame as their App “picture this” is a great app

Bye bye plants. My plants were doing well until I followed this apps advice. Waste of money.

i want to cancel now trial up, doesn’t give me option. please cancel

Improvement needed. I can take a picture of the same plant in different spots and get a different identification not happy for the cost of the app!!$

On line ads are very misleading. The ad that came up claims this app is FREE, once downloaded it is a 7 day free trial. I am not looking to pay almost $38 a year for this.

Not Free. Not that it matters if an app is free to me or not. But, I hate apps that advertise themselves as free and when you go to them it’s free for 7 days then $38CAD p/Ur. I’d much rather be upfront, and charge upfront, then be deceptive, so lost me at that, and will never use because of that.

Good App. This app is very helpful at keeping all my plants looked after and healthy. The only one that suffered and nearly died was my African violet from suggesting too much water.

Great software. I use this app to keep me up to date with what my plants are doing and how to take care of them.

Indoor gardening. I love this app so much.

Need my money please. I used your app for one plant and didn’t help. I need my money back please.

Arrosage. Pourquoi l’option d’arrosage avant la date recommandée n’est plus disponible ?

Misleading. It may be a helpful app but you advertise it as free not free for a week and then you charge. That is very misleading! How can we believe your advice on plants if you are not honest about the cost. I am deleting this app.

Great site. Love taking pictures of plants I see in other places and seeing if they would work in my garden. And learning names of unknown flowers . Most enjoyable app.

Great app! Wish I could add more photos. PROS: - it quickly identifies indoor and outdoor plants - provides lots of easy to navigate information about the plant - diagnosis for root rot/poor lighting etc - watering reminders - overall visually pleasant and easy to navigate CONS: - only one photo can be added per plant. There is a journal you may add photos to but you aren’t able to flip through them to see growth/progress. - if I miss watering one day and do it the next day there is no way for me to check off that it has been watered. So now I have a notification that I can’t turn off.

Premières photos. Je commence juste et souvent, le nom que vous me donner est diffère de celui en magasin

Je ne vous trouvais pas!. Bonjour

Renewal. If you truly are looking for trial and long term customers, don’t force subscriptions. I don’t want the subscription and it seems like I’m being forced to take it as I didn’t cancel before June 1

Not telling me much. It just gives you research to do on the plant, doesn’t say your plant needs this or that.

Was good app until all the ads. Was a helpful app before. Now can’t get out of the ads. Total waste of time. Time to delete.

Checking kinds of plants. Learning the names kinds and care for plants

Happy plants!!😃. Ever since I have been using plant parent and following the directions carefully my plants are doing so much better! I love the individual reminders for each plant in my home. Makes taking care of them so much easier. 😍

Icône. Je ne réussis pas à avoir votre icône sur mon cell. Je dois toujours passer par l’app et ça devient compliqué

Awesome!. This is very helpful because if I’m trying to buy plants it tells me if it’s okay to buy

Why not. Super helpful and left a nice notification when I needed to water them :)

Virus. Cette app est un virus

Scam. Minus star if I can. Disgusted!!! Don’t like the auto billing!!! It shouldn’t charged to my account before the 7 day trial !! I want my refund !! I want the charge to be reversed.

Says free but it’s not. False advertising

Green Thumb instantly!. This is the best thing next to the plant itself. Must have for any plant lover. Can’t believe the low cost for how much it has saved me in plant care!!!!

Lucky Bamboo. I ended up cutting it all back to re root it because it was to far gone.

Merci. Du beau travail que vous faites Merci

Diagnosis. Same for every plant

Easy to use - very fun - helpful. This app lets me personalize the information very easily, like adding my plant photos, naming the plants, adding rooms and naming them, as well as adjusting the room and plant information so it best matches the conditions in my home. Its fun as well as helpful because the reminders to mist, water, rotate plants are very clear and easy to follow. It has all sorts of care info on the plants. 4 stars because: Only suggestion, sometimes plant-specific care tips get cut off on the plant info page, and when i click to read more it takes me to a general page about watering plants instead of expanding on the watering top for the specific plant I was reading about.

Renewed automatically from CC, without permission. I’m disputing charge as I never authorize to auto renew after free trial ends. No confirmation email regarding when free trial ends and will get billed monthly/ yearly

Great app. Great app but a little expensive for me unfortunately.

Plant Parent. Very disappointed so far DO NOT RENEW.

Suggestions. It would be helpful if the app was more flexible. The light metre is not modifiable though I tried. Also, it would be helpful if one could adjust dates. For example, when the app alerts me to rain, I should be able to move the date.

Date is off. Great app but the date is off by a day which throws the cycles off for watering and fertilizing. There is no easy way to get in touch with developers for a fix so this turns a great app to irritating to use.

SAVED MY PLANTS. the app works great its helped so much especially with my monstera you have a 7 free day trail then you pay for a year but this app works great itll scan your plant and say it looks health if its cared well for but if it dose not look good on one of the leafs or something of the plant ZOOM into it ok for developers -• this app is awesome thank you so much and thank you! ✅🪴

MrsCostaLotLess. Love this app it has spot on information. It’s so easy to navigate. I really miss my big garden. This would have been so helpful I recommend this to anybody who has questions about what type of plant or what is it’s health. It’s amazing and helpful. 100⭐️. Peace

How I like it. It tells you about plants you should know about plant and could be a plant expert if someone asked you about plants but you do have to pay for somethings but still have to pay for many things if you want to pay for it you can but I didn’t and it worked out for me

Alerts no the same. I really like the app and all the information it provides. What I don’t understand is why the app gives me one watering schedule for my plants on my iPhone and another on my iPad. Some established outdoor plants require daily watering on my iPad but every three days on the iPhone. How can they be different?

Surprise. I thought my beautiful plant was turning yellow from maybe once being overwatered. Did I drown it?? I didn’t know it was aging out, but the diagnosis/symptoms matched exactly what was happening. I love this particular plant. It’s been so beautiful for a year now. I’ll love it ‘til the end. Thank you for the diagnosis and info.

Nice App! But costly to people who disabled or earn a fixed income!. Would love to see a way for people who earn little money for what ever the reason: disabled, elderly/ fixed income, students, ….. to be able to afford this app. Everyone plants or has plants but not everyone has access to information available to the upper class.

Initial Plant Sickness. I got this app to get help in taking care of my houseplants— also to learn exactly what to do. I’ve taken advice given for my 3 sick plants and so far it’s helping— and I’ve read all about these individual plants. This I encourage all plant 🪴 lovers to gain excess to!!! I will buy more plants with knowledge— I will gain before adding new plants to my indoor tropical garden!!🌴. I’m very happy with my getting this app!!!

Plant parent. I like the app. It doesn’t always know the plant but does get me closer to what I need to know. Most weeds are called “herbs” and I have to “google” the herb for more information. Makes me learn what’s growing in my yard. I don’t really need the rush skeleton, David’s spurge, or the Mexican thistle, but at least I know what they are

I’ve killed so many plants!. I’ve been overwatering and putting plants in the wrong spots for years. This app really helps to get things in the right place and water/fertilize properly. I’m no expert, but everything plant I own right now is thriving! Thank you!

Plant Parent app user. Unless I have rot on all my plants in my house in every room, I don’t know if it diagnoses correctly or not. I do like to take pictures of unknown things to identify but other times I have a hard time finding info on my plants that I have. I have already paid the yearly fee but not sure I will keep it after the year expires! I’ve had it long enough that I am not over the moon about it!!

Plant lover. So I purchased this app based on a short video I saw on line. The material on line makes it seem like you are getting very helpful tips to care for plants. I have not found that the information for each individual plant is very helpful. I like that it identifies my plants but when I try to diagnose an issue it’s not been very helpful. I will not renew once this expires. I’m still looking on line for information to help care for my babies, Plants

Good but app tries to trick you into signing up for premium every time you open the app. Did a good job recognizing most of my plants and trees. If you just want to identify a plant tap "Find plant" in the middle. But if I hadn't known you could use it for free, when I signed up I would have thought it was paid only. Then every time I open the app they try to hook you into trying premium version because it looks like the only option is to click the giant "Continue" button that would start a free trial they no doubt hope you'll forget about and end up paying for. The "Cancel" button is practically invisible on the upper right.

New to this. I like Plant Parent, because I get so distracted and need reminders of watering routines and especially fertilizing. They have helped me find better locations to put my plants for what they need and what to watch out for regarding pests and disease. I especially like the diagnosis part of this app, thanks a lot Diane from South Dakota

Paid subscription hidden. I’m careful about downloading apps therefore I spent quite a bit of time reading after the FREE app icon took me to the download page. I looked through all the developer info etc and still found no charges. So, I downloaded it. NOW I find that it’s a yearly fee and I’m in the 7-day free trial period! So, I’ve spent another bit of time trying to cancel the trial before I delete the app. Not finding that, I’m deleting the app & praying I don’t get charged in seven days. 🤬

Enjoying this app. So far, all the identities have been spot on. The advice and recommendations for care have been helpful in caring for and healing my many plants. Update: It’s been almost a year since I started with this app. It has proven to be dependable through the winter months. I heartily recommend Plant Parent to guide you through the plant care process!

Thank you!

Wanted to utilize the free trial, but actually kept the app. I thought I was going to cancel after identifying my plants, but I’m so glad I kept it and paid the low annual fee. I’m really happy with the features of the app. When I’m worried a plant doesn’t look healthy, I can diagnose it with a photo. So cool!!!

Cool App. This app is cool but some of the settings are off. Plants are unique and I find that I have to adjust the settings in order to track when I water my plant. I use this app more for tracking then anything else, that feature is really good.

Pretty Good. Really enjoy using this app so far but it’s missing a feature to check off water or fertilize as completed. Some of my plants are at work and need to only be watered on certain days. It would be helpful to check off when done so to restart the days between watering.

I am very happy with this app. I love this app because when you are having a problem with your plants you just take a picture and you’ll get an answer to what the problem is. Also you can use your app to find out how to keep your plants alive and looking healthy.

So far so good. I really like this app so far. Spot on with the name of the plants I have. Also spot on with what is wrong with them. Suspected not enough light &/or not enough water & that’s what the app said. So far no major problems with any of my plants. Will have to wait & see how it goes if I have a sick plant.

Need Tech Support. I absolutely love this app and pay for premium BUT there doesn't appear to be any way to contact the developer. I checked the app, the website, and here. Ever since the time change, my calendar is all messed up. It counted both Sunday and Monday as being the 5th of November and now (on Monday the 6th) it says today is Tuesday. It's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance. I checked to see if there was an app update that might correct this, but there isn't. Please, developers, reach out. I'd love to get this fixed.

Save your money. At first this app was great and then it was giving me notifications to water on multiple times close together. I emailed about this glitch or bug and wanted my money back but of course no response. Also the photo diagnosis part is incorrect at times. I even took a plant that the app said had fungus back to the store and they said it was being watered too much. I lost three plants because of this. It’s a great day idea but the app has too many problems so I do not recommend.

It’s not the same App as Advertised. I chose “Plant Parent” based on *features advertised that’s not to say I don’t like the features that come with Premium Membership, it would be nice to have included a few of the features advertised that are not included. *recommendations caring for plants with household products vs. the only recommendations given so far are some rather costly ones.

Thx again!

Try again!

Subscription :(. So I bought the year subscription and I loved it it really helped me, but I reset my phone and the app deleted. I redownloaded it but now it says I have a subscription but won’t allow me to access the app. I’m very sad because I don’t have much money rn and I’m currently unemployed so I don’t have the money to throw away. Very sad about this :,(

Best Plant app ever. I am new to the plant world and have downloaded a lot of different apps to help me but they really never did. I downloaded this one a few months ago and I have learned so much. It gives me so much information. I don’t have to watch a lot of commercials to get the help I need from the app so I honestly say this is the best plant app ever.

Scam. When I looked at this app, it said purchase free. Not until I downloaded it, did it list anything about a 7 day free trial or a one year subscription automatically at a cost of 29+ dollars. I tried to cancel this the minute I saw the charge, however, after looking for a place to do this, I couldn’t find one. I finally found a site that had a large amount of similar complaints and this is what I found. The only way to cancel is to wait until the 8th day to be charged and then cancel, but, pay the first month charge. BEWARE

I’ve always had a green thumb. This app makes my plants look so beautiful and it gives me tips like putting turmeric on aloe plants. They are thriving everything looks so green and beautiful even my husband, Ron have a planter looking like a jungle and it’s so nice oxygen in the house and I think plants are nature, so it brings nature into your home. Thank you for this app. I love it.

It is a good app. It has worked fine, however, if one day I am out of town and I do not do my watering/fertilizing, the app does not remind me next day or the day after. It should have a way to track when the human forgets so we do it as soon as we are reminded! Also, I very time I ask for a diagnosis, it is the same "root rot" and only one time it has been accurate.

Good App. Overall I really like the app. It gives you a wonderful amount of information about each individual plant. The health assessor is extremely knowledgeable. I would suggest to add an estimate of the amount of water to give each plant.

Could Be Easier. I kill plants, it’s why I have this app. So shouldn’t this app be simple since I don’t know why I always kill plants. If I have to water my plants on Tuesday instead of the planned Monday I’d I’m not home, why can’t I modify the schedule? If my plant is sick, the app provides reasons but then shouldn’t it go into a wellness program where it sets up a schedule for what to do? And why doesn’t the app ask you to take pictures on a regular basis to monitor your plants??

Set for countries. Hi I love this app!!! Just wondering, could u put an option to set country for plants. I’m in australia and sometimes it takes a couple of goes and cross referencing to get the right plant ID. It would be awesome to have the plants you identify filtered by geographic location Thx

Great for care tips and reminders. It’s nice how it automatically adjusts recommended watering schedule based on weather and time of year. However, sometimes the plant doesn’t need water at the recommended schedule, so it would be nice to delay the reminder by a day or two. Also would be nice to be able to sync liquid fertilizer reminders with watering reminders.
