Doesn’t deserve the critical reviews. Honestly the gameplay is a bit difficult but the game is aesthetically beautiful and it kind of hurts to see that people are giving this artistic game a one star.

Original, odd , creative & artistic game. This game is not for everyone and probably not for most golf game enthusiasts, but it’s uniqueness has to be applauded . Its oddballness makes its original and non cliche. It’s a golf game that plays by its own rules in its own weird little unapologetic universe .I applaud the team that worked on this and I see a lot of heart and original creativity was used here. It’s not unnoticed by my eyes! Not everyone is going to get this game but it definitely deserves good reviews

This isn’t golf... Too many obstacles and barriers to even attempt to do things like a hole in one or have a feel of mini-golf. It’s just a game of how many hits can you do to jump this ramp while seeing all these cool animations take place Love the creativity, just a really stupid game

It’s just so bad. The idea that this is a golf game feels tacked on just to be called a “game”. There’s so little interaction with the animated and evolving worlds that when you do have to play, it’s frustrating to see the ball disappear off the map or bounce back from a small insignificant prop you couldn’t register in the bright colours.

bad game and bad premise. game starts off with some white guy cutting a bunch of trees down. then captured and caged a bunch of animals. this game literally shows the process of deforestation, and disregard for native species. all for the sake of making a quick buck. thanks capitalism and thanks netflix

I WAS exited. After seeing my childhood flash game but remastered the in the same type of way the original Wonderputt was I was sad that I had to use Netflix and all that just to play Wonderputt

Game crashes as soon as loading screen appears. After the Wonderputt logo appears and the game starts loading or crashes. Sometimes the game won’t even open for me.

beautiful, relaxing, well done!. it has amazing design and user interface, relaxing music, and there is no clock to beat, no stress, nothing to kill, destroy, or beat. just explore around at your pace in a surreal mini put golf experience. very relaxing.

Amazing but also infuriating. I really like this game, incredible course designs and very pretty overall, this will keep you entertained for hours. However, playing the game itself is…frustrating. Getting a good score is purely luck based, I’ve had this game for maybe a year and I only have three out of the fifteen possible collectibles, after countless attempts. The relic levels are straight up impossible. Whoever tested this game and said “yeah, the average mobile phone user can score this high,” I want to shake their hand and then step on their toes. TLDR, very fun game but might make you throw your phone across the room.

Pass. The lack of a power bar makes it difficult to recalculate your shots and leaves the user frustrated. Deleted after 5 mins.

Can’t Even Launch The Game. The game looks overall good from teasers and gameplay footage but what’s the point if someone can’t even launch the game? Whenever I try to open the app it goes to the part where it says wonderputt and the second the loading sign pops up it crashes

Close but no cigar. Game physics gets really annoying on the harder shots. Creative imaginative etc but a miss when it comes to the actual golf part.

Not a golf game. I usually don’t write envies but this is a triumph. If you’re looking for the satisfaction of making a hole in one, though, this is not your game. This is about chewing in the scenery. The art is superb and has this syndical whimsy that I adored. Then you explore. These superficially simple levels have me coming back again and again hoping to unearth secrets (although I would have appreciated them to be more dense). Really the whole experience including multiple play throughs will not be more than 4 hours.

Animated artistic golf puzzle. Figuring out the mechanics of each level is part of the puzzle. Ignore the bad reviews and try this game if you like games that make you think. It’s fun and challenging but also beautiful to look at.

Super creative and fun. The game has very cool levels with a ton of creativity from developers. Absolutely love the game

Gorgeous. Blown away by the art direction and clever take on the mini golf app genre. Ignore the whiny reviews about poor controls or difficulty with vision, I think it plays just fine.

Free is Overpriced. I’ll give this game a try after seeing it advertised in the Netflix app. It took less than two minutes for me to become tired of it. I didn’t even play through the tutorial. Not for me. Maybe not for you.

Netflix. Stick to what you do best.. Not a great game. Very frustrating game play. Gets 2 stars because animation was great. Otherwise it’d be a 1/5 for me.

Very interesting and good. Now yes, the mechanics of the ball and controls are not the best. But i see the game as art and its truly epic.

Huh?. Visually appealing but the game lacks everything else. It’s not a game of any skill. The shots make no sense as it never the same twice. The aiming is difficult …it just makes no sense at all. Terrible

Great aesthetics but they forgot to make a playable game. A poor attempt to make a splash on the game market leaves much to be desired. Netflix focused so much on the aesthetics they forgot to make a playable game. Absolutely no instructions at the start of the game, frustrating game physics leaves you repeating the same shot over and over again. The background of the game is gorgeous but there is so much going on you can’t even figure out where the hole is you are supposed to be aiming for. Not worth the time to figure out the minutiae of the controls. If you are looking for a good way to burn an hour with Netflix, stick with an episode of Stranger Things, this app isn’t worth the time.

Tilting Mobile Game. The worst and most tilting game I have ever played on my phone.

Beautiful Animations but Poor Gameplay. While the level design and animations are well done and often brilliant at times, the gameplay is often frustrating and downright terrible. The golf mechanics are loose and hard to understand. Parts of the courses are hard to see and often the ball is lost behind parts of the courses. Often, the user has no idea what to do or where to go (I assume this on purpose by the designers) and there is no walkthru on certain mechanics until you come across them in game. Making mistakes in other games isn’t as detrimental as this game with no obvious way to restart individual courses. The angle the courses are at is often blocking important parts of the course leading to more frustration. Overall, great world, good animations but poor gameplay and lousy mechanics make for an overall bad experience. Sadly, because of this game, my first foray into Netflix games will be my last.

Game won’t load. It kicks me out every time and haven’t even been able to play.

Trip 4 has only 19 of 20 hidden collectibles. Love the game. Thought geometry trips 3 and 4 were too hard until I saw a walkthrough online. Now I’ve been able to finish trips 3 and 4 several times. There’s a flaw in trip 4. It says there are 20 hidden collectibles, however there are only 19. How do I know? Because since I got 19, I’ve played it through 4 more times from hole 1 to hole 100 looking for that elusive 20th hidden collectible. It’s not there. Please fix this.

No Netflix. This is totally wrong to have to sign up and pay for a Netflix account just to play a game from the App Store. If I was on Netflix and wanted to play that would be different. If this company is owned by Netflix and wanted to make people pay for the app would be different also, but that is not the case so this app needs to be removed from the App Store.

Great start. I love the artwork and music—it's got a definite Monument Valley vibe to it. That's a genuine compliment and not an accusation of unoriginality as I absolute love the Monument Valley games. I don't often write reviews, but I felt I had to after I took notice of one often overlooked quality—when a game's coding is so efficient, that it goes unnoticed. I'm playing on a phone that is now 4 generations old and will be replaced next week due to a severely degraded battery. After playing for probably an hour this morning, I notice that it's not drained nearly as much of my battery as I expected. The game is smooth and and seems pretty lightweight. Kudos to the developer team. I would love to see more though. Hope they update with additional content.

Pretty but maddening. It’s odd to me that the game developers chose golf rules for an exploratory game like this. You simply cannot get par most of the time because you have no idea how a certain mechanic will behave, or because a shot needs to be precise but is impossible in the current constraints. The backgrounds and so on are very cool and the new mechanics are interesting, but having a par is unwelcome when you sometimes get an albatross and other times get +35 bogeys. It’s essentially random chance, not skill, which is an antithetical experience for a par-based game IMO.

Some changes needed but amazing game. I have 2 main problems: 1 - it’s too short, it can easily be completed in a day. It needs some form of infinite mode or a world creation mode, maybe even multiplayer to extend play time. 2 - Some of the pars make no sense, especially in Par Ball mode, it can be very challenging or under-challenging. however, I still vote 5 stars because it is one of the best mobile games I have ever played and, though short , it was a great experience.

Very pretty and soothing sounds. But the gameplay is not much fun. I was hoping for a typical golf video game experience but its more like shooting marbles. Its a shame too, because the game animations, graphics, and sounds are wonderful. I bet some people might like this but not for me.

Worst game on the market. Most holes you don’t even know where the hole is or what the objective is. Then went you are 25 strokes in and finally realize what you were supposed to be doing, there is no way to reset the hole. The devs should be ashamed of themselves for making a mobile game focused on being more clever and frustrating, instead of fun. Won’t ever trust a Netflix game ever again

Cool to see a reimagining of this flashgame classic. I used to play this game a lot when I was a kid, cool to see the devs getting paid by a big budget company to make a sequel. Pretty much the same game in all it’s simple glory.

Brilliantly designed and challenging. The level designs and animations are super entertaining. Figuring out the mechanics of each level is a blast. Really loving this game. It’s a welcome surprise from Netflix. I would also like to take this opportunity to rate the critics: zero stars. You clearly have problem with using your mind. That’s a shame.

Psychedelic mini golf. It is clear a lot of love went into this game. Yes some of the courses are a pain, but don’t play for the score. I played for the unfolding and mind bending silent narrative. I am not disappointed. This is very similar in spirit to the ‘wild hearts’ Apple Arcade game. Play the entire first world and see how you feel.

Dope relaxing game. Mf giving one star whinning about playability cuz they tryhards, but this game is very relaxing if you let it be. Soundtracks and animation are amazing and thats all you need

I don’t know whatsup with all the review bombing. It’s a disservice to the developers to review bomb this with 1 star. The game is beautiful, cool sounds, creative as can be, and super unique. The controls are fine but the physics are really touchy. It can be frustrating because you literally won’t know what to do on certain holes which can wreck your score from trial and error. I believe that’s part of it though. It’s definitely not an easy game. It is super trippy and zany but at the same time chill and relaxing Love it

Could use polishing. It's a great game. I've really been enjoying it. But it's starting to get to the point of boredom repetitiveness. Now I'm just playing the same courses over and over, unlocking items and achievements. Items that I'm unlocking just to use on the same courses over and again. I really love the design and imagination in the game. And It is a lot of fun to go through all the holes and to watch the changes of the course. It's really cool. I would like to see new courses made with this same imagination and design. The trips are really fun too. But I've played through all the trips. Sooner new trips would be awesome. I like this putting game. It's a lot of fun. I just want more new stuff to play cos it's amazing. With all the course transformations. It's great imagination.

Don’t waste your time. This is a great looking game, but the concept isn’t particularly original and was poorly executed. The gameplay is frustrating and not intuitive (which is why the stroke counts on each hole are so high). If you’re looking for a mobile golf game, look elsewhere. If you want to experience a Netflix game, again look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a beautiful exercise in futility, this is your game.

Unintuitive but is pretty. Nice graphics and that’s it. Physics are strange. No instructions on any level. Obstacles are unintuitive and leads to guessing which causes penalties to stack up quick.

Won’t even load. I have tried to download and play but it keeps crashing before the game can load so I deleted and reinstalled and still won’t load… bad game to install. I have an IPhone12

It should of told it would restart the whole thing. A stage was glitched. I went to the menu and pressed restart. It restarted the whole part 2. I spent 30 minutes just for it to be restarted. The game is good but I can’t express how mad I am

Vision impaired disadvantage. Game is hella fun BUT frustrating af as a vision impaired gamer! Add red visable trajectory when aiming so i can SEE where im putting the ball!! Tiny white dots are impossible for me to see… Zoom/spin option for board would be good too-360° view of ball (could also hide stuff that’s only found if we rotate!) Cheers from 🇦🇺❤️❤️

Terrible pointless flicking. Stupid game. There is a ape in the hole but you can’t reset tot sos your shot from the beginning to get park and it doesn’t matter anyway. You literally keep flicking around the gold ball in poorly made levels. Don’t waste your time.

Cool game but. I wish there were more levels

App crashes when trying to play on iPhone X.. Can’t boot up the game itself and get into the action. Using latest version of iOS since October 12th, 2023.

Restart button loses its purpose.. Exactly what the title means. I couldn’t restart if it was the first stage. You should be able to restart when ever. I could tell you can’t restart because it wouldn’t reset the strokes

Awful inconsistent physics, no way to skip animations. The ball doesn’t act consistently even within the same course - they have a set shot the game wants you to use and pretty much only that will work. Power will sometimes send the ball flying and then the same power at the next “checkpoint” will barely tap. Also, any time you want to restart the course for a better try you have to watch a very long intro animation that can’t be skipped

The game just sucks. There are so many good mini golf games out there, but this is not one of them. The graphics are way too much and don’t add anything to it. The perspective and gameplay is just terrible it’s very hard to tell what your ball will do. Find something better cuz this ain’t it chief

Too over the top. I loved earlier iterations of this game, but this version is just too over the top. There are no “conventional” mini golf challenges that you can just relax with. The levels are simply too elaborate and inscrutable and puzzle-like. Instead of getting by on charm and wonder, the game is built on strange puzzle challenges. The game is definitely too complicated to give to a child to play.

Love it!!. Big fan of the original Wonderputt! This one does not disappoint. Ya it’s tricky, yup also finicky, down right frustrating. Still enjoy every round!
