This app is a waste of time. I can’t believe a major fast food company would pay someone to develop a useless product such as this. It seems scammy to me since you put your information in and get nothing but frustration in return. There are apps that do work, such as McDonald’s and Chipotle, Carls does not work and is glitchy. The developer will not help because they want you to do everything to waste more time on their useless product and send in screenshots and explanations. How can I take a screenshot of a lost order I’ve put in 3 times and never got the advertised discount? Fix your horrible app instead of pretending you don’t know there are problems.

Can’t log in / limited time to use rewards. I can’t even use this app! It won’t let me log in. Keeps saying my password is incorrect. I tried resetting it and it still won’t work! I went to Jack in the box instead. Their app actually works. And it lets me order breakfast sandwiches all day. I can order the breakfast burger all day in person at Carls Jr, but I can’t do it on the app, so even if I could log in now, I can’t use my rewards for a breakfast burger now. And I don’t want to hear it’s a store-based option for breakfast burgers after 10:30am, plenty of stores by me do this. You lost a customer!

Terrible app. Overpriced food. First of all, I’ve been eating Carl’s Jr. since I was a kid on occasions. While for fast food/junk food, it’s tasty it’s clearly not healthy. However, what irks me the most is how overpriced they are compared to other fast food restaurants. $15 for a combo meal? You can get much healthier meals for that price or less. Anyway, the app is awful as well. Every other fast food company gives you deals and promotions that you can use at the store or through drive-through. For some reason, Carl’s wants to force you to use those promotions on a mobile order only. But for other’s experience, those mobile orders often are not completed. Therefore the only time I’ll eat there is if the store is offering a promotion or I have zero choice.

Is this APP developed in the 1990s?. I have got many problems with the APP, and many people have covered those. I will name a few more. 1: I can not redeem two offers within one day? I guess this is because you update the reward points once a day and you don’t want people to redeem more points than they own. But come on! This 21 century! The fact that you update points once a day reminds me of the old times! 2: Sometimes I order something and the store doesn’t have it. But the order went through anyway and my credit card got charged. Come on! If a store doesn’t have an item, why could I even order it?

Google Sign-in Unsuccessful; Suggestions for Restaurants. Attempted to sign in via Google was unsuccessful after multiple attempts despite that the pickup at the restaurant locations I chose were mostly successful and quick within 5 to 10 minutes. I would like to see a fix on the Google sign-in; once successfully signed in, I strongly suggest adding a feature to log in via both Facebook and Apple for backup while maintaining the same number of stars in the profile. In this way, if any one of those do fail, users are able to view their accounts and do mobile ordering while keeping the current star level without having to start over. Finally, I would like to see options to either eat-in or take-out when doing mobile orders, as well as the ability to do computerized/kiosk orders at all the restaurants.

Doesn’t work.. I’ve tried to use this app several times over the past year and have never successfully used it. I can’t sign in or sign up. I’ve redownloaded it and updated it and created new email addresses. I check periodically for deals or coupons and there isn’t any, ever. The burgers, although good, are not worth the prices they charge now and I can’t justify spending more at a fast food place than I’d spend at a sit down restaurant if I’m not earning some kind of reward points. Its a bummer but there’s tons of burger places out there with better prices and better apps to use. Try any other place and any other app.

Won’t be Back wait Sucked. Teenager, fresh out of high school or employees. Made me wait 12 minutes just to grab a single burger. plus the other. Issues, I saw while going on ; while waiting, while checking my messages and being hungry at the same time. had to walk up the counter/talk ask ; the line manager was aware/the female was also aware that I had been waiting, I expect quality out of these places; I’ve been going to this particular, one place for 10 years, and I have noticed certain times of lacking, especially the previous four years, Oregon city, Oregon… to make sure that my food was going to be made at all. Otherwise I would’ve sat there. For nothing, I’d like my five bucks worth of burger back.

No points. I have written several times about not getting any points from receipts at my local carls. This had been going on a long time and i am tired of sending in tje receipts. The mansger tells me nobody had come and tried to investigate, much less fix anything. We have been going to other places unlesscwe use points to lower out bill. I am trying to use other carls or other fast food places in our area. If you care so little ti not even check this out i guess carl’s is not the best place for us. There are plenty of other places around. I will send the last 3 i have- they are not the most recent ad we haven’t gone there. Please have someone look into this. Don’t waste your time or money. Tried ordering on the app twice for pickup. Each time it charged me for the order only for me to get to the location to pick it up and be told they don’t have any order in their system. There’s no way to talk to live support either you have to leave a message and hope they call you back. It makes no sense not to have live support in case the app is malfunctioning and you can’t get your order. It took me calling and leaving a message for 3 days to finally get someone to reach out and all they did was refund my order couldn’t even offer any other compensation for their app not working properly. I deleted the mobile app and will not be eating at Carl’s Jr. until they get some better customer service

Worst burger app. I tried to place an order for the Hamburger day promotion and the app just doesn’t work. They charged my credit card but the restaurant never received the order and the app just shows “Order not started” Their corporate website to file complaints just adds insult to injury. It doesn’t allow scrolling so by the time it asks the 4-5th question the text is off the screen and you can no longer see what you’re typing; should be a scroll-able form and not a fake chat window. It asks for a receipt number after asking me if it was an app order that has no receipt so it should know no number exists. I feel like chatgpt could make a better app.

Love CJ waaaaay more now. I’m liking the daily deals and specials and the reward points. Carl’s Jr is the new king of burgers and they should make an ad about mcdonals high prices with bad quality frozen foods especially their horrible deals they have such as saving 50 cents on $15 or more order lol I deleted mcdoanlds app and now Carl’s Jr is for me. Please if you can have apple pay in the payment section would be waaaay easier

Menu pricing in Heber City, Utah. My husband and I went to Carl’s Jr. last Saturday (27th) for breakfast! We ordered French Toast Sticks combo! On the menu it was $6.99! When I paid for the meal! I thought it was a little high! I looked at the receipt! They charged $7.19 and not the $6.99 that was on the menu! Before we even got our food! I told the cashier he charged me too much! The cashier said the price was set on the computer and he couldn’t change it! I then talked to the manager! She said the same thing that the cashier had said! I told her that she should give me the menu price! She said she couldn’t do that and they have had a lot of complaints about the menu pricing! I have tried for the last couple of days to get a hold of the corporate customer service! No luck! Because of the experience I have had! I will definitely not go to Carl’s Jr.!

Useless *update 9/25*. Original - I can’t get anything to load on the app. It opens, asks for a sign in, then when I try to select a restaurant, it just freezes and spins. Once I’ve been able to select which store I want, but as soon as I hit “start order”, it’s back to spinning and getting nowhere. Update - everything appears to be working now, and it does seem pretty smooth. Well done on the development team fixing the issue quickly.

Useless. This app needs extensive work. Orders can’t be completed because the “cart/bag” button is inaccessible. You also need to add green burrito menu items to the app for the Carl’s Jr. locations that offer Green Burrito. Fix your location search on the app, so that people can correctly find Carl’s Jr. locations offering Green Burrito. I’ve been wanting to place several orders for pickup and delivery ever since the rewards program became available in my area and this app has failed me every time. I still haven’t been able to use a single reward, the rewards program might as well be fraudulent.

Not a Convenience At All. In this particular case as a first time user was an utter fail. I made the order easily enough… No issues there. The app and subsequent email and text directed me to join the drive through line and let them know I was ready to pick up my order. When I got to the location, there was no drive-through line to join. Fine. No worries, I went inside and let the gal know that I was there to pick up my mobile order. She didn’t have any knowledge of my order and I had to reorder at the counter. No convenience and no point in using this app. Also the counter person copped a real attitude which really galvanized the experience. Deleted app…

Buggy!!!. This app is a mess. I open it up, enter in my location, and it still says not found. After refreshing, deleting and reinstalling the app, toggling location services and such, I FINALLY got it to take me to the order screen for my location. However, at this point the screen completely froze and I had to reset the app another 4-5 times to eventually get the order to get into my cart. After all this, it would NOT let me apply the coupons that were supposedly available with the items I put in which were required to use them. Finally given up, deleted the app, and just ended up making food at home. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Inconvenient. I placed my order, received the confirmation with the order #, and went to pick it up. When I got there I was told I had to confirm my order in my email. Nowhere on the confirmation did it say that. It is absolutely ridiculous that you would need to use two applications to get an order. I have several food apps and none require this extra step. I checked and I did not receive an email, so I checked the account info and the email was filled in incorrectly and I cannot change it. The restaurant said they could not process my order without an email confirmation, so I canceled my order and I am deleting this app.

Understaffed. My local Carl’s Jr. is understaffed. I thought by downloading the app & placing my order for pick up would be much more time efficient while I use Lyft getting to and from places. The wait in carls Drive through line is generally not too bad but usually just a little bit too long for Lyft drivers to want to be willing to wait for me. I got the app hoping placing my order would eliminate the wait my Lyft drivers were doing. Or fear they would end the ride and leave me there, because the order was taking to long. my local Carl’s only had two people working when I went to go pick up my order I placed through the app. They had not even started my order until I arrived inquiring about the pick up. I arrived 30 minutes or longer after placing my order. They said they had just received the order coming in. The app is is not helping me be efficient on a timely manner as I had hoped due to being understaffed and not filling my order before my arrival. I’ll have to choose somewhere else to buy lunch when I’m going to and from work using Lyft.

Mobile app not working correctly and still charges. Beware of using the app .. when it works it is ok but when it doesn’t no one in the store front can help you . I put in an order and it saying I wasn’t able to add a fountain drink cause it wasn’t avail.. so I ordered a burger.. went in and the worker told me that didn’t get and I told her about how the app was not working properly and she said she knows nothing about the app .. so tells me to cancel the order and order with her .. so I did canceled it and ordered with her and few mins later it shows completed .. I asked her if there is a way to get a refund and tells me that that I would have to call tomorrow when her boss is in or contact customer service .. use the app and you will have to jump thru hoops to get it corrected for the company’s mistake .. horrible customer service.. I will no longer use the app or eat here .. go to habit burger they great service and mobile apps that work correctly

Doesn’t Work - Long History of Same Online Boards. I just downloaded this in prep for 2/12. However no matter what I do this app will not create an account nor will it allow login. It’s an endless loop redirecting me away from login/sign in with no confirmation to start order (with no indication I wish to place an order - still try create account). Check: no account created or logged in. Click again on Create Account & fill in the form, hit create account & right back to making an order with absolutely no account created, much less logged in. Did net search. This app has threads online about how this app doesn’t work, with employees of the chain commenting/affirming quote “This app is garbage” and “works 10% of time”. Threads date from current to years back. App doesn’t work? I then delete & take my business/$ to an establishment that does to reward attention to detail for good customer service. This is poor customer service. My info they do not need to be entrusted with. Sharing experience in case assists other potential to go to app for a different chain.

Charged but never picked up order. I was charged on two separate occasions even though I never picked up more order. There is no way to cancel order or change when placing from from store. The store was also closed even though it was listed as open and accepted my order on on occasion. They didn’t give me my order and also changed the order from “in progress “ to “completed “. Simply put this app has scammed me multiple times and there is no way to call about mistakes . Carl’s Jr. customer service line is near impossible to find. Use Mccdonals APP INSTEAD. It has simple solutions to these issues.

HACKER WARNING. Had to delete this app due to the fact that someone got in my account, the hacker got my home address and credit card information from the app. They made an order for 1 strawberry cheesecake and then gave a $90 tip! Probably a doordash/ubereats driver scamming the system. Luckily, my credit cards security features kicked in and notified me of transaction. Person who tried to make that shady transaction, tried again but with a $95 tip this time. Both transactions were shutdown, but this apps security is seriously in question, thanks to its weak security, someone out there has my home address 😡

Buggy and useless!. As far as fast food chains, there’s a fair share of bad apps out there, but at least they have fixed themselves overtime by ditching their incompetent developers. I thought I’d try again using this app it’s been several years since I gave up on it last time glad to see nothing has changed, unable to paste into the password without the app jittering ignoring the paste and ending up in an endless loop frustration as it will never get you pass the attempt to sign in. At least it ended with the solid, because if I somehow got past the issue of entering a password, there was a checkbox for “I am a human”……. Good luck with that. Using the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Very buggy ☹️. App seems to still have issues. Crashes when you try to add the Appy Hour promo. Says you can add four but the coupon crashes and doesn’t give you the actual discount. Only a partial discount. Also, no matter how many times I add my gift card and “save payment method” it’s never available. I have to re-enter my gift card number every single time! if you go back and make changes before you check out, you have to re-enter the card number all over again it is such a PITA! Also having the option to have no ice in your beverage, Being able to add barbecue sauce to a burger, even though it doesn’t come with it, and being able to purchase additional dipping sauces would be nice.

Easy? Convenient? A handful more like it. This app is supposed to make ordering from Carl’s Jr. easier but all I get from this is a headache. I have earned more than 690 stars for the umpteenth time, but why does it make it so difficult to redeem these rewards I wish this app would be more streamlined and would stop messing up when I’m just trying to just place an order, all I want is a easy and convenient app to order, but I find myself more frustrated because I could be using my stars for rewards, but I can never redeem that… Here I go spending close to $30 for just three items. How is that fair for the customer? fix your app

Doesn’t work anymore. The app was working well for a month or so but now after I have accumulated enough points to get free items it suddenly doesn’t allow me to check out, it keeps asking me to input my payment info and Mobile number. Once the info is added ( for the umteenth time) it still doesn’t let you check out and when I reload go back to check the order to make sure it’s accurate all the info is deleted and needs to be updated again!! So infuriating. I have tried to get help fixing the issue and no responses.. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it but the same glitch continues… all I can say is the app is broken… don’t waste your time or money, the food is over priced anyway.

Make My Order Option. I used the app for the first time today. Navigating through the menu and placing the order was pretty seamless however, after placing the order and receiving confirmation, the store told me they never received my order. It turns out you have to tap the Make My Order button after submitting your order or the store won’t see it.. but the Make My Order button is NOT in the app. You have to go into your email account and tap the button in the order email confirmation. This was a bit frustrating because there was no message in the app to do this step. My suggestion for the developers would be to make the Make My Order button available in the app or at the very least display a message to the user that this step is necessary after submitting an order.

Download for Headaches and Disappointment. Let me start off by stating that I love Carl’s Jr. food. I’ve eaten there for over 20 years now. That being said, this app is my only issue with them. I try their app because every restaurant has one now and it usually is more beneficial. Not this app. Here’s my experience, I go to place an order. I click checkout. It loops back to the cart with no confirmation and all my orders still in the cart. I try again. Nothing changes. Check my credit card statements and I got charged multiple times. I go to the restaurant. They have no order from me. They are unable to help me and I need to talk to the customer service department for the app. I check the app for any help or support button. There is none. I’m now stuck in an endless circle of trying to contact “customer service” and get my money back. I’m well into over an hour in dealing with all this. And just because I wanted to order on an app. Don’t download this. You are welcome.

App needs a lot of work!. I experience just about ALL of the same problems as everyone else. Works best when I use my MAC laptop to order but then I must write my order number down in case my order has any problems at the restaurant. I find that all fast food restaurants have apps that don’t work very well. Lots of app problems. So I do my best to NOT use any fast food app. Carl’s Jr. is my favorite place because they have wonderful lettuce wrapped angus burgers. And all the great veggies they serve with their burgers.3 stars for the food - it would be 5 stars if not for the mostly non working CarlsJR app. By the way, the review section constantly removed the keyboard so typing this not easy.

Not letting me order anything. I don’t know how this app got four. Six stars but it’s terrible horrible I can’t even order delivery let alone pick up and keeps getting me in a loop and a fatal error when I finally get something going right it’s just a waste of time matter fact that’s usually the only place I go to is the places that I can order on the app because I live so far away I don’t wanna spend time ordering walking in plus I like to take advantage of the different deals well Carl’s Jr. illusional quite a bit of customers.

Money gone - SCAAMMM. Paid 30$+ through this app, they transferred it to door dash, door dash went to the restaurant and told me someone had taken the order and it’s not there, so door dash canceled order and told me we can’t refund you since it’s through carls jr app, I called carls jr branch that I ordered from and was told they cannot do nothing since I order through the app and I should contact the app customer service, well the app has no number to call and I have contacted them through their mailing service in app and got no response. I assume the restaurant employees know that this app is garbage and will never refund or assist or accept a complaint towards employees so they can just take the food, money, and tell the door dash guy someone else took it.

App Needs Modern UI. REDACT— Most other Fast food apps have a way to track when you’re near the location or at least a big button in the app that says “Start preparing my food now”. this app lacks all of that and pushes you to initiate the order through the confirmation email. It certainly doesn’t help that the confirmation email looks like basic html. i was close to deleting the email thinking it was just the receipt. — REDACT More generally, the app seems like it’s only loading webpages. There’s no real fluidity and it makes the entire experience more of a struggle than a convenience. I personally don’t believe the offers are worth dealing with this app as it stands. Sometimes the screen goes blank, other times i try to swipe back to a previous screen and it goes to the home page (location selection). There’s no sense on continuity or responsiveness. Update: my mistake, the app does have buttons to start preparing the order. i missed it the first time. My general thoughts about fluidity stand.

Never works. The app always says that we can’t order pickup or delivery in our area. So that makes it impossible to use the app since the menu won’t show up unless I am able to select a location in San Luis Obispo. But all locations say it unavailable on the app to order. It says to order from 3rd party. Like door dash. I prefer Carls Jr. But since McDonald’s app always works and easy to use we go there instead. We are always able to use pick up and curbside delivery. But if at least the pickup was the only option available then we would use it but won’t because that’s not available to us either. Plus we don’t want delivery. We just want to order the food and have it ready for pick up.

Bare minimum. Carls Jr food is good but this App? This app is something i wouldve made for a highschool project. Its so STIFF! So Ux/Ui roast time. when you open the app you get this weird thing where it’s just throwing buzzwords at you, it takes way longer than it should for a loading screen. And when I’m hungry, it kind of just makes me hangry. Second, when switching between tabs on the bottom menu, the screen always flies in from the right. Even if you’re selecting a tab to the left of your current one very jarring. Third, from the home screen there are FOUR separate buttons to start an order. Girl just make one bigger, and i would honestly put the “recently ordered” tab either higher up to proudly display the product or put it into a dropdown menu of previous order items. Three point five, when i open the app it starts on the order screen. Not the home screen, making it inherently, not a home screen. And im getting bored so lastly. You should not be able to see the CCPA Compliance or Privacy Policy link upon first clicking the account page. I recommend including a locally hosted profile picture because customization really drives engagement. But At least just make the text bigger on that page to get the hyperlinks off, nothing says, “ you dont need a shake “ like the Policy reminding me that there are consequences to my actions. App issues not recognizing email confirmation. When I get the order confirmation they send to my email, I click the “make my order” link which switches to the app but nothing happens. The order continues to show as not made. In the meantime I see a notification in my credit card wallet of the order being charged. The solution I found was to delete the app on my device so when I click the “make my order”, since I deleted the app, it switches to safari where it successfully confirms and starts making my order. So a bug appears to be on the app not recognizing the email link. Why do they have to send email confirmation instead of order confirmation from the app directly? They are unnecessary complicating this process.

Getting me here on false pretenses. Update: every offer either does work or doesn’t produce what’s promised. And no one will ever contact you by email. They are lying. so, I got a notification on my phone around the 17th of the month, as stated I had one free month until June 28 where I could get a free famous star every day with a purchase. Well, half of the month was already gone, but I started using it and got to use it three times before it disappeared before the end of the month, so now, once again, they have me in the parking lot on false pretenses, and I’m not going to purchase anything, because this app is a farce. They are taking away, good honest sales by getting people here under false pretenses. Promise after promise. Fix the app and respond to us!!! A few weeks ago, it was a special day, and if you ordered a hamburger, you could win at the very least a free hamburger, and possibly free food throughout the year. I came, used the app, I have the points for it and I never got anything in my rewards. Today I had a motivation that said something about 20% off for members. I had to click in to see what it was, I guess. But when I got inside, it required I update my app and there’s nothing in my rewards to show that I can get 20% off. I’m mad because I’m sitting in the parking lot and I’m hungry and I want my 20% I see no reason to ever use this app again. Yet, I really like Carl’s Jr., but I’m tired of being lied to.

Somewhat annoying issues. I cant enter my apartment number when setting a location for delivery. I have to tell driver which unit exactly. Need ability to choose condiments through the app. Theres a bug where if you pick a sandwhich through the featured tab, you can choose to add condiments, but when you go to checkout, it becomes “an item not being sold at the moment”. If you pick a sandwich or burger through the other tabs, it wont even give you the option for condiments.

Star Rewards doesn’t work.. I redeem my receipts and have gained a notable amount of Stars. I attempt to use them and redeem rewards and the app is stuck loading when I go to check out. This happened before and I left the store only to be told 20 minutes later my order has been processed. Now it won’t even process to the payment tab. I attempted to clear the order and retry with a different Rewards item since breakfast had ended and I wasn’t able to get a Breakfast Burger. When attempting to redeem a Big Carl Rewards coupon, the Breakfast Burger coupon was still applied and I couldn’t remove it, being told the coupon wasn’t available at the moment.

Helps a bit but not entirely. So the app won’t let me order food on the app itself. It gives two options, order delivery or order pick up. Gave this app a 3 since 2.5 cant be done but for some reason I can only order delivery and at that point it just takes me to doordash. So it let’s me know where to find locations and let’s me order delivery (through doordash) but I can’t order anything for pick up which is why I downloaded the app in the first place. Maybe it needs time but until it lets me use the whole app, I’m just gonna wait until it gets updated or explained to me why it won’t work.

App straight up doesn’t work. Might be the worst app I’ve used fast food wise. Constant restrictions and then I couldn’t even use the app at all today to check out… the coding on this is bogus and if you customize an item your coupon might not even work. Today I tried to use the national biscuit month coupon and couldn’t redeem the biscuit if I removed an item on it. Then I couldn’t even check out, I tried using my card that was saved and click check out and then tried adding a card and pressed check out neither one of these worked and was frustrating. Also this app misses the ability to even add just a plain biscuit which seems crazy. Double also get rid of the geofencing for people to pick up your order, sometimes people send others to grab an order for them

Glitchy, unmaintained, stole from me! Lol. I ordered some tenders and fries, cause Carl's Jr. Makes some solid tenders. But was sadly disappointed when I got to the restaurant, and they said that; even though I was at the right location, they hadn't received my order! So after talking to several employees and a manager, and a half hour later, they never got my order from the app! The app actually processes my payment, and never sent my order through, and they couldn't even make my order at the restaurant because the system is closed to any manager alterations! Never got refunded through the app, and the manager said it wasn't the first time it had happened but they couldn't do anything about it at the store front!! And the only reason I'm venting here is because Carl's Jr doesn't even have a customer support line! Just an email, who is probably monitored by a cicada, cause good luck getting a response before 10 years! Good food, but HORRIBLE app, and deplorable customer service!

Terrible experience. I downloaded the app for the first time yesterday because when I walked into the store it said you would get a free sandwich for doing so. No such reward seen, tried to input my barcode for reward points from my receipt, kept getting a http failure error. Asked to speak with a manager, no manager working that day. Asked to call the manager, only to be give the wrong number. Went back to the counter to get the right number, no way to leave a message on they right number because the manager wasn’t working that day. Tried to call/contact the company through the app AND this link provided by Apple’s app, both can’t load the site. Awful.

Wish the app was as good as the food. Hard to apply promotions. Always getting missing from your cart per promotion prompt. Example, free super star with purchase. Added a drink and got missing item prompt, added super star to cart and still had missing item. Restarted app and phone, same thing. I toyed with all combinations and different coupons, same prompt of failure. Got it to finally work with the free super star after 30-40 minutes of frustration. Tried another promotion after thinking it was gonna work, other promotions failed. So I decided just to do the promo that I got to work and ordered a drink with superstar… yah failed again. I would give the app 5 stars if prompted what was needed in cart that was missing and/or directed you to item needed. Also they have no in store way to use coupons. McDonalds did right by their app, pls take note of their format and model. Not saying McDonald is good food, just saying that app is way better in terms of function.

No online ordering & pickup in Portland. No menu. Kudos to joining the 21st century when your competition has had apps with online ordering and pickup for years. But you should have had your systems set up for online pickup in your restaurants first before you launched the app. If people wanted their food delivered they would use what ever service to do it. Plus no one wants to pay more via the app compared to how much you charge in the restaurant. Also no way to view the menu via the app. Yes I know the website exists but everything is way too large on the website as if it was designed for phones in 2011 and not 2021.

The worst food app I’ve seen!. I have tried using this app several times since they came out with it and it has never worked right. I still have not placed a single order because I have nothing but problems with it. The old app was better - the one they completely abandoned saying they would have a new one and it took 5 years to come up with this mess! I’m eating elsewhere now! UPDATE: I ordered for the first time in a long time… National burger day. Despite earlier promises, they still don’t have an Apple Pay option. They keep sending me notifications, but instead of opening the app, it always opens App Store! Developer is clearly clueless. I ordered a burger on National Burger Day and supposed to get a “mystery deal”. I got notification for it, which opened App Store instead of app, clicked to open app… nothing! No mention of any mystery deal, free burger, or anything else I might be expecting. Continuous failures here.

They do not support Apple Pay. Update: They are working on it they responded to my review! Awesome! I had to manually type in my credit card number. They don’t support Apple Pay. The app is confusing to. It’s hard to redeem rewards. You have to do a bunch of stuff. And then when you complete your order, they don’t make it. They send you a text and you’ll have to click on it for them to start making it. The app should automatically show the progress of the order

Needs work. Much like their automated drive thru voice assistant it still needs work. The app still doesn’t adjust for in store deals. For example the store advertises 2 for $5 breakfast sandwiches but the app will still charge full price for both. The solution is not to use the app. Another aspect is you should be able to scan the barcode on your receipt to add points from in store purchases currently the user needs to enter the long number under the barcode.

Pretty much every item is available… Except. I really like the ability to order online, makes things very convenient and is great all around, but There’s just one problem(if Carls Jr has made a statement about this issue I have no knowledge of it) but Chicken Tenders are not available to order on the Carls Jr app. I’ve had this app for about a year and been waiting to see if the Chicken Tenders will be added eventually after an update. I’m surprised by this because I’d expect one of the most sought after and delicious items on the menu to be there, yet it isn’t. I don’t mind ordering without the app, but I am still perplexed to why i only see the Stars instead of Tenders in the app, update after update. Nevertheless, app is nice.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Absolute terrible app compared to any other fast food place, no part of this process is fast, I go through trying to make an order under the PICK UP tab but is saying that my area is not available for delivery which doesn’t make sense because I want to pick up my own food not have it delivered and when I finally decide to say screw it and have it delivered it makes me try and install postmates which is the last thing I want, take notes from other food establishments and allow me to simply place an order through the app to pick up , UI and sign in are very sloppy aswell and hard to use, took about 10 minutes to sign up saying I couldn’t use google or Facebook then finally just made an account. Just all around a terrible app.

Don’t download the app, it won’t work. I only downloaded the app because I received some coupons in the mail and upon closer inspection it said the coupon had to be redeemed in the app. Downloaded it, entered coupon, it said it applied, go to cart, everything is full priced. Click checkout everything is still full priced. Try to enter coupon again, said I already used it. Don’t bother, it’s not worth your time, and it won’t work. Ended up just going to another food place because I’m not paying full price when I have 1000 coupons for this place. Husband tried to use a coupon in store that said spend $1 get a sandwich for free and they tried to say he had to buy a whole other sandwich to get it. Not what the coupon said, it’s all just a bunch of lies, don’t waste your time.

This is a question of choosing not to support their franchisees as opposed to being unable to. That’s both lost revenue to the local restaurant chains as well as damaging to brand image. How unfortunate, and just poor business acumen, is that?

Worst Fast Food app out there! 0 stars.. Do better. U guys were the last to come out w/an app…& this is what we get? Wow. Clunky, extremely slow, & a terrible interface & ordering experience. When a store isn’t open yet u show “This store is currently closed, but you can schedule an order for later!” Umm, fail…the app simply won’t let u do that. When a customer wants to order online & all these issues exist…guess what, u lose that customer! Perhaps forever! Sure, send me ur highly impersonal “canned” developer response & ask me to fill out an online “form”. I’ll get right on that!

Missed the mark yet again! One day it may be as good as other fast food apps.. How do they not allow using printed coupon codes, even if I need to give the coupon at the window. It makes it a no-brainer to NOT use their new updated app. Do I want to order via the app and spend $7 for a single burger and $6 for zucchini, toralling $13 plus tax, or order at the drive-thru and spend $8.49 for the same burger and zucchini, but also get a free extra burger?

Won’t let me order. I noticed a few weeks ago they finally made takeout orders an option and I eagerly attempted to put an order in. But when I’d get to the checkout screen and put in my credit card info, there would be no way to submit and finalize the order. No submit button or anything. Waited for an update to see if that would fix it, but got the same result today. They wait forever to develop an app, then they still can’t make it functional. Please get it together, you’re losing business.

Stars not working. App has been working smooth, I’ve been using it for about a month now but I’ve noticed my last 3 orders Im not getting ANY stars and the stars I had on my account just disappeared all of a sudden… Their whole purpose of this app was about earning stars towards free food and it was working until the last 2 weeks. That absolutely has to be fixed and the stars I already had needs to be given back to my account…fix the stars and I’ll give it a higher rating

Keep Missing Drink Orders. Not sure if all restaurant location experience this, but when you order a combo through the app, the staff keeps missing the drink order. They explained to me that they don’t see it in their system. I always have to pull out the digital receipt to show them what I ordered. Can get very annoying after multiple instances of this event occurring.

Difficult and impossible to use. Being a lover of Carls Jr, I was disappointed when they stopped sending physical coupons into the mail. However, I learned about this app while visiting a nearby Carls Jr, and was excited at the idea of obtaining points every time I bought a burger. However, the app quickly proved to be confusing to use, and the worst part was that even the staff were stumped on how to make it work. The cherry on top is that when I tried to make an order/redeem a coupon for a free burger, it wouldn’t let me, telling me something about how the order didn’t match up or is incomplete, even though it wasn’t. Oh yeah, the app itself is also slow and lags.

App. I tried to order and it took like 10 minutes and the app was bugging out and when I was finally able to order, the app charge me 2 times and I asked the people in front if I can get a refund and they didn’t want too give it to me, they thought I was joking around of some sort and then finally they started to get mad with me so I just left, I will never get Carl’s Jr or bring any friends or family to that franchise.

Doesn’t work. Not sure how this app could possibly be so highly rated. Anytime I’ve ever tried to use it for the last few YEARS it does absolutely nothing. Try to order delivery and it can’t even find an address, try to find my nearest location and it shows me zero results. Unable to sign in or even create an account now. If Carls Jr would allow us to at least order “low carb” via other apps I would have zero need to even check this app

More flexible than some other fast food apps. I really enjoy the flexibility of customizing items, many apps do not have this and it's simpler than telling someone in person as a customer with many allergies. Please add a comment box for allergies!! Haven't reacted from cross-contamination yet at Carls, but I hope to avoid it always.

App finally works. After months of issues after the initial launch of the app, it has actually been working great for the past few months. Before I wasn’t even able to place an order most of the time and on the rare occasion I was able to, half the time the location said they don’t have a mobile order showing up.

This app is completely useless!. The Carl's Jr. app is completely useless. It took MONTHS to be able to order food on it. It doesn't take coupon codes. I have a saved "favorite" restaurant down the street from me and it always asks if I want to order from 3-4 other restaurants that are many miles away, including not even in my city! Submitting receipts for Stars Points almost never, ever, ever works. I have repeatedly stated this to Carl's Jr. and they never do anything about it. FAR AND AWAY, the WORST fast food mobile app there is. I'd give it minus-3 stars if possible.

Not able to order???. Update 6/17 Not really! Still doesn’t work at any nearby restaurants and now the search function is incredibly slow. How is it possible that it was made worse? I was excited that Cjr finally got a new app after all these years. But that was short lived when I realized that all the ordering section just sends you off to a third party. Lame sauce. Update: Ugh it gets worse! Now I am getting offer notifications for free stuff if ordering via the app-WHICH I CAN’T DO !!!!!!!!!!

App is a total waste! No available locations. Download the app, because I really enjoy a good Carl’s Famous Star, but no one in the area for better the 15 miles around is taking online orders. What’s the purpose of having and app if no stores accept it? Carl is way behind their competitors! Wendy’s app has it mastered! Maybe the should follow their platform. I do all my fast food ordering from the apps. I guess CJ is willing to let their competitor win over these customers! Sad. Don’t waste your time. I’m sure I’ll get the “canned” response, we’re working on bringing more stores on line…. When 2030?

Bad design. You have to manually order the food for the Offers and you have to click Apply before checking out to get the discount. I tried to use the 2 small Famous Star combos for $15 offer but was charged normal price $22 because I didn’t click apply. Why not automatically apply the offer when starting the order?

Needs work. I run into a few problems often using this app . Majority of the time after using the app then going to Carl’s Jr the workers have difficulties finding your order that almost takes 10+ mins every time . The point system doesn’t work to good either it’s on and off sometimes you get points after your order sometimes it don’t . Fix those problems and the app would be a lot better

Are we in 2010?. Poor UI, difficult to navigate, glitchy. Unable to change the tip amount when trying to order it auto resets to 15% when I try to enter a custom amount. I had to close the app and open it 4 times before I was successfully able to complete an order. I added an offer selection and removed it to add another one after reading though and it told me I can’t have more that one per order. So I had to remove all items and close the app and start over to use the new offer selection.

App is a rip off. My opening page said I was eligible for 20% discount on my first order. After charging my card full price I asked for my discount at my location. I was told by shift manager that she also uses the app and never heard of any such discount. She also said this is a third party app and she could not help me. I asked to cancel my order but was told either way she couldn’t credit my card. I was forced to pay full price and will not use the app again. What a rip off.

App is terrible… website is too. I love Carl’s Jr. I think their burgers are amazing. But seems like they are not aware we’re in 2021. I download the app I can’t even use it. Says the nearest location is unavailable for mobile orders. Ok I can somewhat understand that. However it doesn’t even let you look at the menu at least. So I thought ok maybe their website will be better. It wasn’t that much better. I love Carl’s Jr. it’s a shame their website and app are light years behind other fast food chains.

Won’t allow you to check out or add payment method. The sheer amount of issues with this app is astonishing. From not being able to save a payment method. Not being able to actually get to the checkout menu without clicking on an offer after selecting a location. In addition, because you cannot save or add a payment method you can never check out. I tried for over 30 minutes to get this app to work but it doesn’t.

Need gift card payment options. You can only use a gift card if a single gift card covers your entire order purchase. You cannot use another gift card to cover the remaining balance or even a credit card to cover the remaining balance. And the store gift card option does not work. If they get the gift card situation fixed this will be a 5 star app.

Keyboard won’t come up. I’ve tried logging in multiple times via Google and the my keyboard won’t come up in order to enter my Password. When I try to reset my password using my email, it says that my account doesn’t exist. I’ve tried multiple times to no avail. Very frustrating. 😤

Terrible rewards, inefficient user interface. You can only redeem your stars for certain items, and customization is limited. For example, I can remove the classic sauce from the big carl, but I can't add ketchup to it! I also cannot substitute the bread for sourdough. Look at the Slim Chickens rewards app! You earn points the same way, then you redeem the value of your rewards toward ANY order, even when you order in person instead of online! This is how it should be.

App doesn’t work. The last 3 times I’ve ordered when I get the the steps to get my drive thru number the screen go to pay page yet I had already paid. I went into the store and they had my order on their register but it had been 10 to 15 mins when I got there - why order ahead - and my account shows no previous orders or star’s credit . Consequently I’ve quit going to BK

May be the worst food app ever. I attempt to order. There’s no option to complete the order after inputting payment info. I wait until the next update. Now I can’t even check out. I put a western into the checkout. I attempt to use stars for it as I have over 500. When I click checkout it always tells me something it wrong. I can’t remove an offer. I remove the western and try to check out with other items it still gives me the same “something went wrong” message. I try to give money to Carl’s Jr. and they go out of their way to stop me.

One Thing More. I think the app is almost perfect, but one thing is keeping me from giving you that fifth star...for rewards, why do I have to enter the 13-digit barcode? Why can't I take a pic of the barcode like I do with some other apps? If that cannot be achieved, at least put spaces in the numbers...seems like there is always a bunch of repetitive numbers. SCAN functionality!!

Can’t find locations.. I’ve tried with location services turned on and with manual entry and the map refuses to provide locations to choose from. I’ve even entered the exact address and it won’t allow me to choose a location. Aside from scanning receipts after purchase this app is worthless. And the only way I can redeem offers is to go around the app and do it online — and that’s a joke because many of the offers are only available through the app.

Suggestion for the App Developer. Hello, I wanted to order but when paying the screen said one or some of the items ordered were not available, however it did not say which one was not available, so I could not modify the order to only include the available items. Thanks, Customer

Never works-No Apple Pay- Simply the worst app ever. Terrible terrible app. No Apple Pay. Never retains credit card information. Literally nobody in the restaurant understands the app. I could never pull up my promo on the app and then pay at the register for some reason. It’s just terrible and the employees have literally received no training. I can’t tell you how many stone Carl’s Jr. employees at different locations have told me that they don’t know anything about the app and they were never trained on it at all.

Pointless to order ahead. Twice now I have ordered ahead so that my food will be ready to go when I got there they give you an option of sharing your location so that they know you’re there both time the employees refuse to start making the order until I’m physically in front of them, which means I have to stand there for another 10 minutes in the store, waiting for them to make my food. It’s easier and faster to just drive through the drive-through.

Beyond famous burger not on menu (non-combo option). The only thing I have a Carl’s Jr. is their beyond famous burger. (Not the combo) I usually customize it which is why I downloaded the app to save the time at the drive-through window. Now I figure that they only have this burger in a combo option and not by itself. All the other burgers are available to purchase by themselves but not the beyond famous star. Why would you do that? I don’t care for fries and soda. I feel like I’m being forced to buy those just because I’m ordering a vegetarian burger. Disappointed!

Locations doesn’t work. This app doesn’t work. I’ve downloaded it twice hoping that the second time, it would work. It still doesn’t. It asks for us to search for locations using street, city, and zip. Each time I do that, knowing exactly where the locations are, the app fails to provide locations. Even when I use location services on my phone, the app still fails to identify the clear locations that are on my surrounding area. That prevents ordering. This needs to be fixed.

This App is useless. Other than finding locations and seeing there menu, you can’t order from any restaurants directly. It sends you to Door Dash for delivery. There are no pick up options available at any restaurant I’ve tried. So you’re stuck paying the marked up prices, no rewards or deals are given, it basically is pointless. I used to like and frequent Carl’s Jr., but now I’d rather go elsewhere. They aren’t worth the higher prices without rewards or deals.

Unresponsive notification. After sending me a notification to “Christmas gift”, it directed me to tap “Rewards”, unfortunately the notification will not allow to do anything and freeze the app. Forced to close the app and go back in as the app froze from the notification, navigate to the app’s rewards tab and no Christmas gift is shown. Other than that, the app is only okay. That’s why the two stars; one for an adequate app to order food, minus one for problems with app notifications (no redirect and freezing).

Simply doesn’t work. Let me start by saying we LOVE Carls Jr. so we got the app because we eat there frequently. However I tried to enter a gift card in and that didn’t work. Then I tried to redeem a reward and an error message pops up saying you can only redeem one reward at a time (which I was not trying to do.) I tried clearing everything out several times and starting over in various ways however it just does not work. I’m so disappointed

Useless.. The app itself is fine, but none of the locations anywhere remotely convenient to me allow or use it despite advertising it heavily. It’s nice to think about all the free food and perks you *would* get if any of the local managers actually allowed you to. I travel a lot and have been to probably 8-10 locations in the last few months, only one of which even had a scannable barcode on the receipt.

Terrible app more like a scam. Terrible app I can’t even pay after I enter my card details at checkout. I have came to this same Carl’s Jr. location 5 times 7412 ne 117th Ave, just to leave because your app doesn’t work and the coupons I spent 70$ to achieve are not usable . There is no where to pay after i click on checkout. This is the 3rd message i will be sending to the app support and still no response. I came here the other day and spent 60$ just to get some rewards that I can only watch expire. I’m very disappointed in you guys I will be leaving a juicy review.

Literally the worst fast food app. First and foremost this is 2022 and they don’t have Apple Pay as an option. Secondly, I changed the location for my order yet it reverted back to a location 10 miles away, and you can’t cancel or transfer your order. Thirdly, the app is way too slow. Lastly, there is no way to apply paper coupons through the app orders. The app deals are terrible, and I refuse to pay full price just to get star rewards. 1/10. Delete this app after you get your 81 cent big Carl

App not adding reward after update, not allowing choice of menu items. Please check app to see if expected behavior works. I am unable to add a reward, and unable to manually choose another menu item. App forces me to choose a featured menu item. Update. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, and I am able to now choose menu items. App still does not automatically insert reward.

Can’t log-in. I created an account but can’t get past the sign in as the Log-in button stays inactive for me. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail. I don’t know what is happening or why. I have ordered from online once via the web. I got to my store and they had to get a manager to verify and show the counter workers that I had ordered, even though I had an order number. Not sure why you’re so late to online ordering or so bad at it. Plenty of time to have mastered this option.

You call this an app, Carl’s Jr.?. The restaurant no longer receives my mobile orders since the last update. Prior to that the app was slow and buggy but it worked and the restaurant received the orders so it was worth the hassle. I have tried on multiple occasions and even gone in and placed on order in the app with the help of a very nice Carl’s Jr. employee and the order never showed up on their end on any of those tries. How can most other fast food places have apps or websites that work so well for mobile ordering while Carl’s Jr. seemingly lags so far behind?

Fix your broke app. Tried to place adelivery order and eventually just gave up since the app kept glitching. Would freeze and when I tried to open other options it jump back to featured. When trying to use offers, it would give me an oops message or say the item wasn't what was being offered despite being the item. Not a great business model of having an app for ordering food that doesn't let you order food

Welcomed efforts but miles away. Whatever happened to the Carl’s Jr app that was available before Covid-19? You couldn’t order with that app but It at least provided value by making some deals and coupons available. This new app’s only functionality today is to find a nearby location and link door dash for delivery order so zero value today. However, I welcome their efforts to finally come up with an app and will patiently wait for rewards, online ordering, coupons and similar features that all other fast food restaurants have already been doing for a year or two.

Can’t add ketchup or mustard!. If I don’t want classic sauce I can remove it from my burger but there is no ketchup or mustard available on the condiments to add to my burger. Also why does your restaurant charge $0.25 each for ketchup and mustard on the burger. You don’t charge for packets, so why then would you charge when it’s on the burger? You should take notes from Chick-fil-a’s app you can customize everything.

App is pointless no offers or deals. No special offers or discounts until you collect enough points, unlike their competitors McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, even Popeyes Chicken have offers and deals to use while still earning points. None of the “rewards” you can buy with your points encourage me enough to use this app. On top of that why would I use this app to order food when I still have to wait in line to get my food? I mind as well order it then.

Review. I get screen info from Carls about a deal but when I got to the app there is no deal. I get coupons in the mail. They should be usable on the app. I wish I could order on the app then pay at the register as cash is what I use, so my wife doesn’t see I’m eating Carls 😃

Bad - like class action lawsuit bad. They advertised free burgers to the world via a Super Bowl ad. The catch is you have to sign up for an account. Guess what! You can’t sign up for an account today! It gives you a generic error. Regardless of which method you use to create an account. Asked several others if they were able to sign up and they all said the same thing. I’ve seen false advertising, but to advertise on the superbowl and then block people from jumping through the hoop - that’s just bad.

Worst Mobile Food App. Ordered a burger at the restaurant close to me and paid, the app automatically defaults to my previous time I purchased even after changing it to the location next to me. I am unable to cancel or transfer to fix the issue with the app. I can’t drive to my last location due to its distance and I have to be at a movie so basically I’m out 6 bucks. Worst mobile food app by far. Don’t waste your time or money using it.

Half step in right direction. It’s good that Carl’s is finally doing a mobile rewards program since every other fast food chain has been doing it. The bad part is that the app still needs some work. Very clunky and slow UI, and the deals cause some headaches. Most of the time when you add a deal to your cart, follow the terms and conditions, it’ll still give you an error at checkout. I find it easier to still just order like normal at restaurant and just upload the points later.

Rewards and Offers are nice BUT can’t even order. The layout and the app is actually a lot better now. The added rewards is nice and now there’s even coupons on the app itself. Lost 2 stars because you can’t even order at all. Not even for pickup none of the restaurants allow you do order not even drive through either. The 3rd party delivery doesn’t work either and it defeats the purpose of being able to order for pick up.
