Changes in the Wrong Ways. I got my sister to download the app so we could have drawings or whatever on here since we are now far apart from one another. I really enjoy what it has to offer but there’s just been some changes I do not care for. This is app preference based but right now my biggest one is the streak. That alone is fine. Cute you know see how long you have it, but when it updates to saying “streak lost” and covers the image with a red x it’s ugly. It takes away from seeing the drawing or image that I have on my Home Screen and just makes me want to delete the widget honestly. I don’t want to see streak lost because I can’t recover the image on my home screen without drawing back or having my sister do the same. Also when you’re about to lose the streak also has a large clock on it. I personally don’t care for the streaks. If there was a way to turn it off I’d be fine with that. Something else which is I would like it if it connected multiple peoples. Like it auto rotates or something so you can have multiple people on your device. It’s just some things I wish would be different. But still overall the app isn’t bad and if streaks matter it’s a good way to keep them. It just doesn’t for me.

Freezing and not even sending. My current boyfriend has asked to get this app. He had a few in mind he already wanted to make me and it’s a cute idea. I really like the opacity option to do shading and the zoom in option. I love drawing and I think it’s simple enough with bottom line essentials that can be layered. With that being said none of my stuff ever sent to my partner. The app kept closing on me when I’d try to open the app. I would draw and after 15/20 seconds it kicked me out then I’ll try to open it and It would kick me out of the app again till I kinda just keep doing it for awhile and it’ll eventually open the app again with a few lines missing but it’s okay I’ll squeeze in what I can in the time I have and then I sent it and neither arrived. I really thought he’d like the last one and you can’t even see it again. I wish I would’ve known. Good idea. Needs better execution.

Can only link with one partner, support tab doesn't work. I had just downloaded the app and was hoping i could easily switch between partners, because i wanted this app to draw with my small group of friends, but turns out you can only have one person and also deletes past drawings if you do switch. I was going to leave a recommendation for this in the support tab inside the app, but when i actually sent the message, i got a notification saying that the email didn't even exist, mind you this is the email the app provides when you click support INSIDE THE APP. While the app is inconvenient and a little shady for that fake email thing, it does work, but I'm not even receiving the notifications for when a drawing arrives, even with notifications turned on.

Remove the “streak” feature. I’ve enjoyed this app for quite some time, but the new “streak” feature is super annoying. Either make it optional for people who don’t want a giant broken heart on their screen for days, or remove it altogether. Most people just want a cute way to share pictures with their partner without the pressure of having to do it every day without a dumb “streak ended” sign covering the widget. I’m considering deleting the app and switching to another one if the feature isn’t removed or at least made optional. Less important (but still helpful) request: Please make a “fill” option when drawing. It would make it so much easier to fill in the background and shapes. I usually don’t send reviews, but this one just really bothered me. Thanks for reading.

We love it but..... My partner and I love sending eachother cute doodles throughout the day. It's so nice to have that extra bit of connection while we're apart. However, lately with the new updates, this app has become less about sending cute doodles and more about maintaining a "streak". My partner and I are busy people so sometimes we don't have time to send each other notes everyday. Because of this, if we miss a day, "streak lost 💔" shows up at the bottom of the widget (this is my least favorite because I can't even look at my partner's doodles without being reminded of it), we get notifications that our streak has been lost, and if i go to the gallery, "streak lost" is shown inbetween almost every note. I understand that this may be fun for some people and might motivate them to use the app more, but for us it's the opposite. I would love a carefree app where we can send eachother notes every once and a while without having to worry about maintaining a streak. If we wanted to send each other doodles to maintain a streak, we would have just used snapchat. I wish there wasn't any streak feature, or that there was at least an option to turn it off for the people who would prefer not to have it. Other than that, it's a fantastic, adorable little app.

Slowness. This app used to be pretty good. Its been really glitchy lately, it overheats your phone pretty quick and when u delete the page it doesn’t even save your drawings anymore it completely deletes them. Update: This app downgraded so much i attempted to draw something 3 times. First the brushed glitched so i couldn't see them anymore. 2nd attempt it just delete my whole drawing for no reason i used the undo button but it didn’t even work. 3rd attempt it just kicked me out of the app i wasn’t even drawing for too long. This all happened within 10 minutes.. I do not recommend this app at all especially the fact it doesn’t save your art and the fact it drains ur battery by a lot, my battery went from 40% to 27% within 10 minutes like how. The app was never like this im surprised they would let it downgrade so bad. Bring back the old format/version please.🙁

The streak feature is just bad. Like many other users, I really enjoyed this app! I thought it was just a cute thing to have between my partner and I, we aren’t long distance so it was just cute- but the new streak system is just irritating. Now when you have a note and you or your partner doesn’t reply within a certain time the note is blocked by a red overlay and a broken heart and text that reads “streak broke.” What a lovely note to wake up to I guess. It just makes the app less pleasant to use. I don’t have time to be constantly sending notes, and neither does my partner. I really enjoyed how simple the app was when I first got it almost a year ago, now with the new updates it just has gotten more unpleasant to use but I’ve been fine with it so far, but the fact that a broken streak notification actually blocks the note your partner sent is just irritating. The streak system is fine when it was just out of the way, the new update to it is just excessive and completely ruins the app for me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE :)). OMG THIS APP IS SO CUTE WTH! But there’s always some flaws but not a whole lot!! The 3 brushes in the app include a calligraphy style pen, a highlighter, and chalk. Which are are good in their own way!But possibly in a future update they should definitely consider adding more tool options and/or brushes like a paint bucket tool for filling empty spaces, a normal pen that will make solid straight lines unlike the calligraphy pen which adds thickness randomly, a sticker/stamp to add shapes, an this is a long shot but maybe a blender to add some cool gradients to your drawings!!! Another feature that should be considered is to possibly add a way to have multiple people instead of just one singular contact your linked with!! All in all this app is really fun to have with a s/o, best friend, or family member and share wholesome, funny, or immaculate works of art! Love this app yall :))

Design update is obnoxious. Used to be wonderful to use. You could see the notes update on your home screen if you added the widget. Now with the new update, if you are close to breaking your streak (24 hours), the widget is covered by a giant hourglass overlay that practically screams at you to save the streak. If I wanted to keep a streak, I would have just redownloaded Snapchat. If you break your streak, there’s a broken heart overlay on the widget. Not attractive for the home screen. I want my widget to show the notes, adding a personal touch to my phone home screen, not some obnoxious icon telling me to save my streak. Bring back the simplicity of the old version, where the main focus are the notes, NOT preserving streaks. If the UI design isn’t changed, we’re thinking of quitting the app and find another. Not to mention the new update also made the app more buggy, I frequently find the send button non-responsive after finishing my note, and I’m left to redraw it.

terrible. this used to be my favorite app. i loved sending and receiving little drawings from my partner. there was a specific drawing i loved so much i requested my partner to leave it up for a little while and not change it. unlocking my phone to see the cute little drawing on my home screen that my partner worked so hard on absolutely made my day. this app was so amazing until the new updates started rolling in. the streak thing is incredibly stupid. if both people don’t send a drawing within 24 hours a huge “streak lost” picture will appear on your home screen, replacing whatever image your partner sent. neither me or my partner have enough time to send these drawings every single day. for our pictures to be deleted every 24 hours is very upsetting. Instead of being able to look back at the cute drawings your partner has sent you, you’re prompted to pay $1.99 to recover your streak. this is very angering and saddening to see. clearly this app just wants money, and the extreme drop in quality shows it. i am very disappointed to say i will be deleting this one and looking for a replacement.

Multiple people. I love this app a lot, its very fun to use and it’s super cool! However, i feel there should be an update where you could have multiple people added on the app. So you could maybe have a place where you send one person some picture and then another different person a different picture. Or you could make a “group chat” like thing where you can send a photo in it and it goes to everyone added in the “group chat”. This app is very cool and i love it a lot but my friends all wish we could add each other. I understand this app is made for couples but me and my friends love using this app with each other and it would be cool to add multiple people. Overall this app is 10/10 and i would highly recommend. :)

wow, the update is actually so insanely bad. me and my partner have been using noteit for months now, it’s fun to send cute little drawings to each other whenever we feel like it. but lately the updates have kinda sucked :/ for example, they started a “streak” system where you have to send back a drawing between 24 hours or your streak breaks and you can no longer see the drawings you sent to your partner. i see what they were trying to do here but at least in my case i spend time trying to draw out things and id like them to say up for more then 24 hours without losing all the drawings i made previously, this isn’t like snapchat where i can snap a quick picture and that’s it. and this most recent update is the WORST, for one the shade of blue is kinda irritating to stare at and also you can only access the tools once, if you accidentally press anywhere but the drawing pad it’ll just switch the tool button to “done” and your only option is to either keep drawing with this one tool (but sometimes they don’t even let you do that) or either send the drawing or scrap it all together. this app is such a cute idea and me and my partner have loved it for so long, but i feel like this app is trying to soup itself up too much to the point where it’s becoming unuseable and annoying, i really hope this gets fixed in the future :/

Takes up too much storage. I used this app for over a year and I’m sad to say that I had to delete it because it was becoming an issue I couldn’t find a solution to. The app was taking up over 20 gigabytes on my phone! I reached out to the developers twice to try to see if there was some sort of issue as I couldn’t fathom a reason why it was taking up so much space and never heard back from them. Frustrated and disappointed to say the least, I really enjoyed using this app and I would have loved to continue t use it for another year and so on but it was just taking up an absurd amount of space on my phone. It was clear the app was starting to get greedy as well, pay walls started to come up everywhere, I couldn’t even change the font of my text without paying anymore. I hope I can find a similar app that doesn’t take up half my storage.

NEW UPDATE WORSENS THE USER EXPERIENCE!!. I have been using this app for about a month now and have loved it, even with all its initial limitations. This new update has changed my user experience for the worse. I am unable to go back and draw over my pictures after a couples strokes of the draw tool because the tool dash completely disappears! I can no longer zoom in when I’m drawing over a photo which makes it even more unpleasant to use. I also had a complaint about the app pre-update. Keeping the streak by tapping the app everyday is fine with me, but if I have already sent a new drawing that day, why should I get another notification warning me that my streak is about to end? If the notification was a standard reminder which acknowledged my new drawing, I would have no problem, however this is not the case. I have lost really sweet drawings because I didn’t open the app within an hour of it telling me to do so. Am I supposed to be a slave to the app or am I supposed to be enjoying the experience?? Don’t worry I am not going to just forget about the app just because it doesn’t threaten me at any random point in time during the day; if the user experience was better, I would be excited to open it up and draw. Unfortunately for long distance couples who already have a lot to deal with, this just makes it harder. I hope you can respond with something or make some changes sooner rather than later.

Swipe to access menu and sending note problem. This application initially carries a wholesome idea in order to express care even without being close to a loved one. The app's toolkit and functionality work well, but there are a couple of issues that I have to deal with intermittently. 1. The swipe-to-left function where we can access the main menu of the application. Personally, this sometimes gives me difficult times, since in the process of drawing, swipes are often made in various directions, which easily leads to opening menu. 2. Application inactivity after pressing the "send note" button, which happens infrequently, but unexpectedly at any random time. The picture disappears, but no processes are observed and nothing is sent. Nevertheless the application is really wonderful and can give a very good experience and memories. Thank you, Noteit developers!

Was good until it wasn’t. My long distance girlfriend I used to use this app a lot because of how fun it was and the ease of use. It was a cute little way to express love. Now, however, the app has become a sort of mess. They have put a pay wall in front of features that previously used to be free and unique, and even on features that are never really worth paying for such as fonts. The drawing screen has become much smaller and thus more difficult to use. Worst of all, the app has just become more laggy and slow. It’s sometimes almost annoying or frustrating to open the app, make a note, and send a note because every stage is laggy. There’s also more noticeable glitches. Overall, this app was good until it wasn’t, and that’s a shame because of the little memories we have on it. Really disappointing to see how low quality this has become.

I like it but. sometimes the widget doesn’t update when my friend sends me a note and it stopped notifying me when there’s a note so I have to open the app fully and in the history it shows a new note that I hadn’t seen before. The widget just stays in the previous note my friend had sent. I also don’t like the streak part of it. It adds pressure for me to send a note even if I’m busy. If it really has to add a streak feature, then it can be like Snapchat where it starts a streak after 3 days and you choose how long you want to keep your streak going. As for the drawings, there should be a tab where you can see the drawings you’ve saved instead of them being deleted if you lose your streak.

So much done wrong. Writing my first app review because this app is so unbelievably frustrating. My partner and I got this app originally like a year ago and it was great, but there has been continual updates that have significantly decreased its quality. For one, if you don’t send each other a noteit each day, your history of noteits disappears! Why???? What is the point of punishing users by making your memories be lost?? And now they’ve gone and made it even worse so that if you don’t send a new noteit EVERY DAY the widget just goes blank. Again, why???? People are busy! We have lives outside of this app! Neither of us have time or remember to send a scribble or picture every day. Just let me scroll back through all the things we’ve sent each other and let us “break the streak” whenever we want. Shouldn’t the point of a cute app like this to be able to look back at what you’ve sent? Who cares about streaks?????

Was good at first but got worse. My friend and I love drawing matching pictures in this app ever since we got it. There wasn't much to work with but we worked well with what we had. On top of that, it doesn't save your own drawings but only saves your partner's drawings. Recently, we were drawing matching pictures, however, mine decided to lag and kick me out every once in a while while I was drawing. To my surprise, when I go back to the app, it deletes my progress I made during the past 10 minutes. It did this many times so I decided to just wait for tomorrow to finish it to see if it was just my phone or the app. It did the same thing the next day. Eventually I finished it fast and sent it and luckily it sent. The next week my friend and I started drawing new pictures. To our surprise, it starts lagging for both of us. It started crashing on us or just lagging in general. It would occasionally just freeze for us, leading us to refreshing the app, only for it to just not open at all. I don't know what happened to the app but it's never working correctly anymore. I honestly would suggest looking for a better quality app instead of this one.

Updates were bad then good!. So when I first got the app, everything was great— then there were updates that caused a big broken heart to cover up the entire center of widget every time the streak was broken (we never figured out the timing; it seemed like it was 24 hours, then 12 hours, then like all the time!). But there were a lot of complaints in the app reviews, and I think the developers actually acted on that feedback! The most recent updates still have streaks, but the broken streak is just denoted by a border on the widget now (doesn’t cover the drawing). Also, the steaks are now clearly 24 hours (with a stopwatch to show how much time left). We’ve tried other similar apps, but Noteit definitely has the best user interface, so we are very happy with the newest updates!! :)

Streak Broken... Since the STREAK BROKEN update i’m deleting this app. It doesn’t serve me anymore. Old Review: Please show the last sent note instead of broken streaks [trying to get more frequent users of the app] This makes me want to delete it, because instead of a nice note, you get an anxiety inducing warning /// the app is ok; but functionality seriously suffers; Please remove the automatic notification request every single time the app opens; it makes me debate on deleting it. Dark mode would be greatly appreciated - the option to select colored backgrounds - the ability to move text around without being in the typing menu - the ability to export images of drawings without animation - to send note without the 5 second janky tiktok animation loading screen * the scary “streak” tree illustration reminds me of scary ads that would pop up on “lite” apps from 2012. As an app for sending notes; it’s great, but form a user design point of view, so so so bad, and needs these improvements ^^^

New Updates are Not It. I’ve used this app with my friend for awhile now and we’ve absolutely loved it. However, the last few updates and have made it nearly impossible for us to draw and overall its not as fun anymore. We haven’t sent drawings since the last few updates were installed. On top of the user interface just being extremely difficult to use (compared to what it used to be), the app is now more buggy. If you click off the tools accidentally before you’re done, the entire app freezes and the only possible thing to be done is to send the unfinished drawing. If you close it and get back on, it completely deletes your progress so you can’t finish it (which didn’t use to happen at all). We definitely miss the old versions of this and think that the last good update is when the time lapse feature was added but the user face was starting to change even then. All in all, this would’ve been 5 stars if not for the recent changes.

From a user point of view:. I really like the app over all. When I first downloaded it you could send little drawings but I didn’t know you could zoom in to draw more little detailed drawings. I wish it said it in the description that we could do that. I love how now you can send pictures and also do little doodles on them. You can also have a streak (amount of drawings or pictures you send). What I don’t really like the late notifications. It tells you late when you received a NoteIt, if your streak is about to end. Or if it broke. That I wish could be sent on time but over all I love how there’s many ways of being able to choose the colors. Whether it’s the grid, color wheel way. Or the dropper. I do wish there was more tools to draw with for example a paint brush tool, airbrush. Those are some suggestions. Thank you

Awful update. Here’s what I enjoyed about noteit in the past: - simple, uncluttered interface - ability to see history of notes sent and received - ability to spend time on overly-complex drawings that could stay on your partner’s page as long as you like and then remain in their history They’ve ruined each one of those positives. - The interface is confusing and poorly designed. I especially dislike the giant share to tik tok button. Why would I share a doodle to tik tok, much less an intimate one meant for one person? - You cannot see your history unless you have an active “streak” and when that streak ends your history is deleted for good. Further, my history before the update was totally deleted. I understand if they’re a small developer and made a mistake migrating the data, but if it was a choice they made that’s extremely ill-thought. - The streak functionality completely removes any incentive to spend time working on a drawing. If I spend a lot of time on something it will stay up for at most a day, and it will most likely be deleted anyways. They’re trying to drive engagement but this will do the exact opposite. Users will simply devolve into sending dots and dashes to keep their streaks alive which is not fun. Then they’ll lose their good drawings and feel slighted by the app. Punishing your users is not good for engagement.

Used to be good. At the beginning of the year I would’ve said it was a 5/5. My gf and I absolutely loved this, we were long distance at the time so it was a great way of sending a cute lil daily messages, and we did them all the time! I don’t remember what month it was but when the app did the first remodel, nearly lost all interest from us. It was completely new, glitchy and had unnecessary features. I personally didn’t like the videos of the making of the drawings but I get that it’s a cool feature to have access to. It also deleted ALL of our history of drawings together which I hate! Thank god I saved a bunch of them before the newest update. If the original version of the app were to come back, I’d re-download in an instant. But since that probably won’t be happening, we’re both saying bye bye to this app unfortunately.

Great except for new beauty filter. I love this app, and me and my partner have been using it for quite a few months now. I’ve had virtually no problems with it other than a very minor thing here and there. However, with the new update a few days ago there is an automatic beauty filter added to the camera function, with no option to even take it off. This is by far the worst part of the app. I don’t want to see a glossed over version of my partners face when he sends me a picture, I want to see his actual face. Please, please take off this beauty filter or AT LEAST give us the option to turn it off. It’s not fair that you’re making it seem like nothing is altering our appearances. Not giving us the option to turn it on or off contributes to harmful beauty standards because it makes us think that that’s what we actually look like. Please fix this.

Possibly the worst notes app ever. I hate this app probably more than any app I’ve ever used. I’m glad to make this the first app I’ve ever given a single star because of how awful it is. I will give credit where credit is due, this app is good in terms of the tools it gives you and the quality of the app as well as that there are no ads. However, this app takes the whole adorable idea of sending messages back and forth and uses it to make them a profit at the expense of your sanity. If you don’t respond to a note within 24 hours it will delete every note you’ve ever sent or received because you didn’t maintain their ridiculous “streak”. And then they’ll tell you that you can get your notes back for the low low price of $1.99. This is the most atrocious excuse for an app I’ve ever used and if you’re even considering getting it, don’t. Save yourself the heartache and money and find an app that won’t do what this app has. Don’t let them win.

Fake “new note” notifications. My gf and I used to send a lot of notes when we first got the app but then as we stopped taking time out of our personal lives to make notes we naturally slowed down in sending notes. This has caused the app to send fake notifications saying “new note” only for me to open the app and there’s nothing there. I even asked my girlfriend if she had sent me a note, thinking the app maybe glitched, only for her to say no and that she had been getting those notifications too. It’s very sneaky and annoying because although getting a new note does make me smile, i hate the app telling me that I got a new one and then realizing I didn’t actually get one. The streak notifications are already bad enough and turn me off from making new notes but this is just a way to get you to use their app more that I do not appreciate.

Updates are Downgrades. I used to love this app to send drawings to my long distance girlfriend, but the new updates have made the experience much worse. Now, the tool bar for different types of brushes is much more difficult to use, it closes out constantly and makes a frustrating experience. The undo button does not work at all, it instead closes the bar, meaning I cannot undo, and if there’s a mistake the only option is to erase which makes it much harder to make small edits to drawings I spend time on. I cannot use the highlighter tool at all anymore either, it glitches out every time, making the strokes different shades and blocky geometric shapes instead of the actual stroke. The whole streak feature is also completely useless and is only annoying. Overall, this app used to be perfect, but someone tried to fix something that isn’t broken and now it’s unusable. This isn’t Snapchat, if I wanted to send small drawings every hour and keep a streak, I would use that. I used to love spending a decent amount of time on little drawings that would stay for a couple days, but now the app seems to be trying to be something it’s not.

Doesn’t work half the time. I honestly really dislike this app, it’s unreliable and causes stupid trust issues. When you hit send too fast, a poor connection thing pops up and it makes you think you sent it when you never did, and then it upsets the other person when it never goes through. And then sometimes when It doesn’t go through, it doesn’t show for the other person. You could even receive a new note notification and hit the bar and then it doesn’t show a new note. I try refreshing it but it never works and it gets on my nerves. And then me and my girlfriend feel bad for each other whenever this happens because we genuinely can’t tell if the other person is just ignoring each other (which had never been the case) or it’s just the app hurting our feelings. This app needs to be more reliable with sending notes, because as of right now, it’s causing more issues than it does bring benefits.

Love the App but I have one suggestion. My partner leaves me such artistic notes all the time and they are so beautiful. I, on the other hand am no artist. I sit there for maybe 30 minutes trying to think of an object to draw that she may fancy, and I typically have no luck. My suggestion would be adding a templated image so that I can send something that looks nicer on her home screen, rather than my scoliosis ridden stick figurines. I understand it's the thought that counts, and she likely doesn't care about it looking better or worse, but she deserves nice things. A practical use for this would be to implement the image into the push notification, so that upon clicking the notification you can be introduced with a cute image that you can send to your partner. Help.

Add Groups!!!. A great app!! Super cute. You guys should absolutely add groups as soon as you are able. It could just work as a system where the widget is on everyone’s phone, then anytime someone adds a photo it replaces the old one on everyone’s phone. You can make the group function paid (not by everyone — no way all ppl would buy it) by the group leader. ie. Pay $1.99 to create a group of up to 10 ppl. People would pay that and then you would have support for your app and ppl could send notes to all their friends. Also, please make an option so you can see drawings for longer even if you lose ur streak. You can make it paid if needed.

Stop adding new, convoluted features and instead fix the original problems. Noteit, when I first downloaded it, was a very simple app. It was hard to use since the erase and backspace didn’t correspond and you couldn’t zoom in, but it worked. They updated and fixed this features, and that was probably its peak. It worked well. With the newest update, my app crashes and deletes my work, doesn’t save, and when I try drawing, the tool bar will randomly disappear in the middle of my artistry and I can’t access it again. I tried logging back in the app to see if the tool bar will come back but it doesn’t. It’s so much more difficult to use then. Previous update would only crash my phone and restart my drawing. The snapshot update was completely unnecessary since it started at a Note app. Hence the name “Note it” Please fix the app thank you

New update overcomplicated the app. Before this, I loved using the app. It was intuitive, straightforward, and there was no pressure to maintain a “streak”. Are they trying to turn it into a form of social media or a daily engagement app? Because it’s not really meant to be one. I think the implementation of these features have overshadowed the original purpose of the app which is to send cute little pictures to your partner easily. I like putting effort into my drawings and letting them sit on my partner’s phone for a bit to enjoy them. The interface was a lot simpler before too, when all the tools were laid out plainly. It’s not more aesthetic, sure, but so much easier to navigate!! When I try and draw now, I find myself accidentally swiping over to the “streak” tab and the tools are smaller and harder to click on. I can’t say anything as far as bugs because I haven’t really used the app since the update. I find it frustrating and borderline unusable.

New Update Makes It Hard To Recommend. I really enjoyed this app when I got it along with my girlfriend earlier this year. It was simple and intuitive. I still think it is simple, but I no longer feel that its design is as intuitive. I feel that the emphasis on sending photos is unnecessary and I wish that it was more put off to the side to emphasize the drawing. I also really dislike the hiding and revealing of the drawing tools. So many times while drawing I have to give up because the tools have become glitched and will no longer come back. All I can press is a button that says “done” with a checkmark that does nothing. I think I would review it 5 stars if it wasn’t for this update. I hope these bugs can be fixed soon as I would love to continue to use the app as it is a very cute way to communicate; but as it is currently, it is quite frustrating to use.

Love it but have a suggestion. I really adore this app! I enjoy that I’m able to send my loved one little doodles throughout the day, and I know the streak option is a bit controversial based on the ratings, but I enjoy watching the rose bush grow as your streak continues to grow as well. I do have one major suggestion though. When you get to a point where you have hundreds of doodles sent between you and your partner, if you want to find one particular note, it’s near impossible. I’d really love to see some kind of system added that allows you to maybe star your favorite notes, and then you could look at all of your very favorite notes you’ve ever received without having to look for them. Aside from this, I love this app so much!

Disappointing Update. My partner and I have used this app for a while and we’ve loved it. It was always nice to get surprise notes and make details ones in return. Recently there’s been a very disappointing update. The tools button keeps disappearing, it’s very easy to accidentally click “done” and there’s no confirmation button, and when I accidentally click “done” I either have to send an unfinished note or delete the whole thing entirely. This is very frustrating especially when I usually like to make my drawings detailed. But now I can’t risk even making notes at all because I don’t want to put myself through the frustration of having to delete it because of an accidental button click. It also doesn’t save my progress and this really bothers me. We used to love this app but now we might have to consider switching to a different note app. We’d hate to do this because of how long we’ve been with this app. Please fix this ASAP.

Amazing for LDR! (+some minor things). My partner and I love the app, and with all of the updates it’s gotten it’s pretty solid! The app itself is perfect, the tools for drawing and the ability to send pictures is really neat! The only minor inconvenience is that, at least for me and my partner, Is with the new update if you take a picture and draw something but want to undo the drawing it will remove the picture too. The other thing is that a lot of the time when I draw with the new update it will swipe it left instead of registering it as a drawing stroke. All pretty minor things to be honest, mostly just some suggestions for a smoother experience. I would still recommend this app to anyone, especially long distance couples!! The creators have done a great job, keep up the good work!

Streak system needs an off option.. My boyfriend and I have been using this app for months now and it was really enjoyable seeing the little notes we’d leave each other. It was no rush or hassle creating them, we could add in a little note whenever we would like. But now with the update a big bright red broken heart appears over the noteit and blurs out the background if we break the “streak”. Completely blocking the note. Which quite frankly makes my phone background unpleasant to look at. It doesn’t fit the colour scheme and it’s generally just quite sad opening your phone to a big red broken heart? I don’t want to feel like creating notes for my partner is a task, I want it to be stress free. I did genuinely love this app without the streak system, and I would be happy to leave a better review if an option is added to turn the streak setting off. Thank you to the developers for such a great app idea but I’d love if there was an option for those of us who just want it to be a stress free app! Thx!

Was good, got worse…. I agree with a lot of other reviewers on here. This app was and still is adorable, I love being able to send notes to my partner and it’s a fun and cute way for us to connect. That being said, these updates are not it. Not being able to see the drawings I’ve sent after 24 hours is silly if you ask me. Why can’t I have access to my drawings at all times? Why can’t they just save in the app, like in a folder or something? Why do my drawings have to disappear if I don’t keep up with the apps demands? That and I don’t like the new format, having to go in and out of the tool screen when they could all just be in one place. The app is still fun and I’ll still use it, but I really feel like they’re doing too much. It was fine the way it was, and now a lot of people are becoming unsatisfied with these new features that are there for no reason other than to get you to use the app, when I really don’t think it’s something I need to be stressing over. I just wish it were simple and not something I have to come back to everyday at risk of losing all my drawings. Do better :/

Used to be fun and simple. This app was a fun way to communicate with my partner, but the move from an easy to use app to a featureless interface drooling at the mouth for daily engagement has taken away from what this platform should be. There used to be a Home Screen where past received notes would appear as well as the most recent sent note, that’s gone unless you keep a streak up. Sometimes you don’t use the app everyday or you have a note you’re just too proud of to replace the next day. Then all those memories and past works are gone. Think Snapchat V1. This app shifted priorities out of nowhere and the quality dropped. The reliance on streaks is stale and not user friendly, and there just isn’t any other captivating features to keep me interested in this app any longer. There are other alternatives that function just like Noteit did before with more features to maximize the fun and streaks are optional or not even present, I’d try those apps first.

Great for long distance. My fiancée and I were really feeling the long distance and we wanted to find something that would help soften some of the distance. NoteIt was the perfect answer. We send cute notes every day or so and it’s like a little surprise on your phone when it pops up. We made romantic notes, missing you notes, funny notes, etc. They have updated the app really well recently and I’ve been loving it more. The drawing tools are limited, but also allow for a lot of creative freedom. There’s a ruler for straight lines, a highlighter, a crayon, and a marker tool, which already provides so much to do. I initially didn’t like that there wasn’t a fill tool to like fill an enclosed shape or the whole screen, but I’ve come to enjoy painting every inch of the canvas. It feels like I’m putting in a little effort into the note, even when I put something together quickly. The app means so much to me and her. I’ve been downloading and keeping all the notes. I think we’ll probably keep using it after we get married too. Keep up the great work!

Recent Update. I used to ADORE this app, and I still love the concept of it. However, it isn’t up to par with the recent IOS update. The widget will not show on your homescreen no matter what you do (I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, as well as logging in and out, both with no avail). This was fine, because having a widget (as cute and nice as it is) isn’t the most crucial part of the experience. However, when messing around with the text while creating a note to send to my partner, my phone literally crashed. I had to completely restart my phone, as it shouldn’t stop turning itself off and on. I wasn’t using any other application besides Noteit, and this is what frustrates me. I wish that the app was still in check with the new IOS, because it used to be such a cute app. It was never 100% glitch free, but I had never had it crash quite like that before, and I never had an issue with placing the widget on my homescreen.

Great app for drawing lil notes. I got this a few months ago and I love sending my partner little drawings. One feature I absolutely despise though is this like “streak” feature that tells you when you’re going to lose your streak of sending your partner pictures but the thing is, I drew something four hours ago. I don’t understand how the streak is calculated unless it’s telling me that my partner is going to break the streak? In any case it gives me anxiety and I wish it was just an option and instead of notifications my pictures drawn from my side would just delete after 24 hours or something. I don’t need notification that my partner hasn’t drawn something. Anyway thank you! Would love to see more drawing pen options and colors

Great App. Ive used this app for a while for long distance relationships and its always been amazing. I loved the update where it shows you a time-lapse of the drawing being made, it is super cute! Unfortunately, I will not be rating this 5 stars though because after this most recent update there are a couple problems. The streaks are a cute idea but I don’t like that I am unable to see my pictures anymore after I’ve sent them. Also with the new update, if you accidentally click outside of the drawing area the tools will disappear and you can’t switch tools or colors unless you completely scrap the drawing. I tried drawing the same thing 5 times and lost the tools halfway through each time which is EXTREMELY frustrating. I will no longer be using this app until that bug is fixed. Once that is fixed this will be a 5 star amazing app again!

adorable app just a few things!!. i love note it!!! it’s the best feeling waking up to see a cute message from my beloved :) it’s an adorable idea for an app and it’s executed very well. i completely recommend this if you’re thinking about getting it!!! i have just a couple things to note: 1- the zoom function can be annoying like if i’m trying to write something down on it the zoom can be all weird and sometimes i just can’t zoom in enough ,:0 2- there have been a few times where i could have sworn i had clicked send through on a message and came back hours later to see that it never went through- it doesn’t happen often so i don’t mind too much tho! 3- ((just a light suggestion)) a multi person function would be nice so i could have multiple people to send them to instead of just one.. 4-lastlyyyyy, (and most importantly prolly) i would love a notification system- the person i use it with has so many apps they forget to check the widget sometimes and don’t see my note for hourrrrssss so a notification to see that one was sent to you would be rly nice :P again i really do love this app and use it vry often as a cute way to send messages. perfect for a long distance relationship :)) i can safely say i’ve spent wayyyy too long making little art pieces on this despite having no artistic talent… vry worth it thoo!!!

Will be deleting soon unfortunately. Just like many of the previous comments have stated, this new update was so bad I will be deleting the app. My boyfriend and I have been long distance for about 5 years now when he recently came across the app. Ever since we have been sending cute little notes to each other every now and then to brighten up each others day’s. I previously loved how there was no pressure to send notes back and forth and when I wanted to draw a new note I could and I could also look back on old notes. There is a new “streak” feature just like Snapchat where you must send a note within 24 hours or it will essentially be blocked by a red screen and a broken heart. In addition to that, the hours leading up to the streak ending, it will keep displaying reminders over the notes to remind you to send another note before the streak breaks. I hate this with a passion because it used to be a stress free app but now it has turned into something I do not want to use anymore because of the pressure of keeping a streak. I stopped my Snapchat streaks long ago because they were too stressful to keep up with and I don’t want to have to worry about that here on the Note It app. Unfortunately the update is too much of a bad change that my boyfriend and I will be deleting the app. So disappointing.

My idea to replace the streak update. Ok so there’s a problem with Noteit that’s the streak update. I’ve seen the reviews, and a lot of people has the same problem as me but Noteit won’t fix it. For example, I saw a review with this problem thats from July-October, and right now it’s December. There’s so many reviews to this problem but noteit didn’t do anything about it for months and it triggers me a lot. So I have an idea to replace this update! I see what you were trying to do there, noteit. So instead of this update, every time you complete a streak for 7 days, you can get coins. And if you break the streak, you lose coins. And something you can use the coins for could be for a shop! And you can buy background themes in the shop. I think it’s a lot better then not being able to see you or your partners drawings. I think that I should be able to see all of my and my partner’s drawing and that the game shouldn’t take this freedom away. I think a lot of people can agree with this too. Thank you for your time.

I used to love noteit. I have had this app for over a year now for my ldr. It was a great app that kept improving and becoming better especially with the photo feature but recently they have added a streak feature like Snapchat that’s ruined the whole experience for me. It covers up the drawings or pictures that were sent to me on the widget if it’s getting close to the streak breaking. Keeping up with the streaks is very stressful that I just send something just so I don’t see a broken heart on my screen telling me to get back into the app and continue it. I tried taking off the streak notifications in the settings screen but the settings screen as a whole does not work even though there is only two options. You click to disable one and both are disabled. There is no save button to the settings so when you exit out of it and come back to see if it’s applied, the streak settings are enabled once again. I hope that they can fix it soon because the app has just been giving burden instead of its purpose to share and connect. If not I will have to just try another widget app…. :(

This app is spammy and blocks notes written by partner. My wife and I love using this app to leave hand written notes, but the company does EVERYTHING they can to try and get you to keep coming back to the app. If you make the mistake of allowing notifications, they’ll notify you CONSTANTLY to come into the app and do this or that, and then when you do turn off notifications, they ask you EVERY time you log back in to allow notifications. Not once, but every single time. Furthermore, they’ve introduced “streaks”, but in a TERRIBLE way. If you don’t keep your streak alive, you can’t see historical notes that you’ve left your partner. ALSO, if you don’t keep your streak alive, IT WILL BLOCK THE NOTE ON YOUR HOME SCREEN WITH A BROKEN HEART THAT SAYS “Streak broke”. I don’t want a new note every day, I just want to see what my wife has left me until she decides to leave a new one. We loved the app idea, but cannot stand the ownership of this app anymore. Hopefully there’s an alternative app out there for this!

Pretty good but one annoying feature. This app is pretty fun and cute. I love suddenly receiving notes from my girlfriend and also sending her my little drawings that she loves so much. But this feature of streaks and breaking this streak results in deleting your previous notes is so annoying. My girlfriend was clearing storage on her phone but accidentally deleted my notes and just hearing her being sad and cry made my heartbreak. So is there a way to possibly restore the deleted notes or maybe remove this streaks feature instead?

not using it anymore after the update. i used to really love using this app with my SO but now it is really glitchy and the tools disappear, you can’t close the app and come back to ur drawing later, it really wants you to make a tiktok which is super annoying. It’s sad bc i’ve made some really cute drawings but it’s too annoying to use anymore.

Super cute. Me and my friend got this to send eachover cute little drawings and messages. I love it. It’s easy to use and You can make as many as you want. I would like to see a feature with more than 1 partner, like an option to scroll and send messages to different people. But I’ve just downloaded other note it copies to do it withother people Good job guys! I can see y’all blowing up big soon!

Great concept but streak and notifications overdone. It’s a great concept and me and the wife have had fun with it but the constant notifications about streaks is a pain. This should be a setting that can be turned off as we don’t care. The only notifications I want is when I have a new note but because it give me soo many others I’ve turned notifications off completely which makes the app pointless. If it wasn’t fun drawing and sending I’d probably only rate 1 star, that’s how much the notifications annoy me

More friends. It’s a fun a app that’s all I can say, but. I wish I could add more people !! It’s fun n all having the chance to send photos and message and they appear on your friends screen but I wish I could have more people. Otherwise it’s a great app.

“streak broke” covering picture. I really liked this app until now, my partner and I don’t care much for the streak aspect, we don’t mind having an old picture or drawing on there - the important part is having something from each other on our homescreen. The app has updated and has covered the picture in red with “streak broke” in fat white letters and a broken heart covering the picture. It’s difficult to keep up a streak as we prefer quality over quantity and I think we’d both prefer to not have the app if the drawing is just going to get covered when we break our streak. awful.

Turn off streaks. Need to turn off streaks, makes it annoying to have a big red box instead of a picture, or make it an option to turn on and off. Was perfect before that feature started.

Downgrade. Was a five star but new update made it worse. While drawing tools will disappear and not re appear and then I have to start all over again. The pushing down for thicker lines is also bad as I have to naturally push down harder on my phone so every line is very thick. I should be able to change that in settings.

Noteit. Such an amazing app !! My partner and I have spend weeks apart and it’s a good way to stay connected and it always puts a smile on my face. So much fun and so easy to use. Would highly recommend !

newest update causing it to crash. the app was fine before it’s most recent update where the layout was changed, it now is buggy and when drawing the tools will disappear and I can’t keep drawing. When I leave the app and come back, it used to save my progress in the drawing but now it doesn’t save and I’ve had to redraw many drawings about 5 times just to say goodnight to my partner. Please change it back to the old layout, swiping to view your partners drawings also causes the drawing to get buggy and weird and I now when I save the drawings my partner does, they don’t actually go to my camera roll so I’m forced to screenshot them just to save them. PLEASE go back to the old layout, it was much better then

Good, but. The app was really good. Me and my best friend used it just to send occasional drawings to each other and have them displayed on our home screens. Then the app introduced the streaks thing and now the drawings keep being covered by the dying or dead streaks thing. And there is no way that I can find to remove it. We don’t send drawings all that often so this new update is really annoying me. Please make a way to be able to not see the dead streak thing covering the drawing.

Cute. My girlfriend found this app and she thought it was adorable and so we both downloaded it and it’s just fun, it’s really nice to wake up to a drawing or leave one for her each night :)

A little buggy but really fun. It’s super fun to use, don’t get me wrong, and a great way to keep in contact with your partner, however sometimes the things you send duplicate and come up more than once in the app. Also the reply button doesn’t work while viewing your partners art. Just a few things to improve on to make the app flow better.

Review :D. Whilst this app is quite good there are still a few flaws or things that could be implemented/updated: 1) The streaks break wayyyy too quickly and easily. Sometimes people don’t have time or simply just forget to send a whole entire drawing, especially with me who has ADHD and then losing the streak is aggravating. 2) The entire drawing process isn’t always shown and just shows the ending which is disappointing because no matter how long it took I’d love to see the whole process. 3) Only being able to have one person to send a drawing to is a little upsetting considering some people could have more than one partner or want to simply send drawings to their friends. Would more people be able to be added in the future?

Used to love it, but now really buggy. Update: I JUST wrote this review, and right after my phone completely spazzed out and every time I tried to unlock would give me the “dying phone” screen and turn off till it just started flickering between the two screens :( I used to use it with my partner every day/week, but recently it’s been difficult to actually draw something. It’ll randomly freeze, show the black spinny wheel dead phone (iPhone) and bring my phone to lock screen. When I come back in sometimes I’ve lost my drawing, or apps on my Home Screen don’t load in and overall just messes with my phone :(

Absolute Joke. Are you serious? The Streak “feature” was already the worst part about this app, now you want to charge $2.99 just to get a streak back? Then what happens when I lose the streak again? You want another $2.99? I just want to be able to look back and enjoy the little drawings I make with my partner and not be forced to make sure we both draw every 12 hours. Especially when one of us really likes the note and wants to keep it for a while. Then you take it away with your wannabe snapchat garbage. Put a little Google ad on the bottom of the Home Screen if you want money. Get rid of streaks.

New Streaks Update. I want the old version before the streaks update back where I could send drawings and pics to my partners phone and leave it there. I don’t mind the new update but I hate how it punishes us for not sending something everyday. It annoys me that there’s a big red streaks broken over the drawings we spent so long drawing and I wish it was more subtle with it. I liked the idea of seeing the progression of the streaks inside the app but there’s no need for it to cover up the widget on my home screen. Why am I forced to send something everyday to maintain a streak I didn’t even want to start. Did Snapchat ever punish you for breaking a streak? I thought this was just a chill app to send cute drawings to each other.

used to be really good but now it’s just bad. used to be really good and simple but something went south and now whenever you finish drawing and send the note it automatically tries to make it into a tiktok…. this is so stupid and inconvenient. also, the UI is so difficult to navigate after the update i wish you guys would just change it back- the update feels indescribably bad. it’s also plenty buggy

Feedback. Hi, I used this app with my friend and for a while it was great. I was on this morning and it said the streak of 83 was ending so I sent a drawing but later it said the streak ended. I looked at the inbox and it said I sent the drawing at 8:18AM but the streak ended at 7:02PM???? I find this quite frustrating as me and my friend has been sending for over 2 weeks. Please fix this..

Bad screen widget: Streaks. Since the addition of streak timers on the note it widget, it’s ruined the experience. It’s supposed to be something fun with my partner, not to do everyday and we can keep them until we feel like making a new one. The streak goes completely over the drawing so you can’t even see it and becomes an eyesore on the Home Screen. I should be able to turn it off in the settings. I have turned streaks off but it continues to show up regardless. I’m considering deleting the app if this is not resolved with the next update.

Great app but a little buggy sometimes. I love this app, it’s so cute and I love getting a little message on my Home Screen from my girlfriend but lately the app has bugged out and my widget is just white. I’ve tried to reinstall the app, remove and re add the widget and basically everything I can but it’s just a white box on my screen and it’s very annoying. Please consider fixing this. I love this app otherwise

MADE MY ENTIRE PHONE CRASH. for an hour i’ve been trying to draw something detailed but the app just keeps on crashing and i have to start over again. my phone is not slow at all. but specifically drawing in this app, it lags, and crashes. but the worst thing has happened. it crashed, and then my whole phone kept turning off and on again it was the scariest thing ever. i wish there was another alternative of this app. because they keep updating it but keep having worse and worse mistakes each time. and why cant i see a full history of my drawings? this app is designed for people who are apart, so what is the point, if one is at busy and can’t spare ten minutes to draw before the streak is removed and therefore all drawing history is removed. makes no sense. also what is with this silly update with ‘creating tik tok’? firstly i have no idea what this update does because the app barely loads and always crashes, so i don’t even know what this tik tok update is about. but whatever it is, i’ve never experienced it because it doesn’t even load this app was better when it was simple. i just want to draw, see my partners drawings, and my own drawings. that’s it. absolutely so disappointed in this app.

Needs to have a daily note after update. It was fine before, that i could just send notes whenever i felt like. But now after the update, if i dont send daily, the widget turns into an ugly red heartbroken sad thing that covers the note my partner sent. Only because we didnt send a note that day. Its annoying. I dont want notes everyday. I dont need notes everyday. I certainly dont want to put it as a daily task just so it doesnt get covered up by that sad broken heart thing. Annoying.

Please add colour fill option. It would make it a lot easier to colour things in if there was a full option. Other than that everything is good

TURN OFF STREAKS. Love this app but hate the new update with the streaks. The idea of this app is to leave a cute picture or message on my partners phone. It should be up to me, the user, to choose when I want to send a new one. Especially for those who spend a lot of time drawing nice photos, just for them to be covered in the widget 24 hours later. 😾

gets worse every update. This app used to be really cute and fun to use. Over time they added updates that made it less fun and useful and started putting more pressure on users, like frequent notifications and the “streaks” update. I used to be able to keep a special drawing on my home screen for a long time - now, it’s blocked by text saying streak broke, and over weeks, the drawing disappeared. This app is not meant to rely on user input so much. It makes it so much more tedious and unmotivating to use. Uninstalling, sorry.

My opinion. I think it quite funny as I can draw thing to my partner/friend but I have 2 questions 1. If you already noteit with someone else can you add another person? 2. Can you noteit multiple people

Storage. I love this app so much, it’s really cute to send the little notes to my friend :) BUT after the newest update it suddenly takes up so much storage - almost 2 GB - which is absolutely insane. Idk why this is, please fix it because I love the app so much & would hate to delete it :(

What’s going on?. My partner and I have been using this app for a year now its truly all over the place. We just want an app that shows notes to each other. Why did you add the streak idea, especially if it covers over the note my partner left. Just remember why people use this app, its not about getting a streak. Get rid of it please.

“Streaks” ruined the app. Do the creators of this app even read the reviews? Absolutely nobody wants streaks. Whoever came up with this ridiculous idea must have no clue why people use the app in the first place. I want cute pictures from my partner on my Home Screen - “STREAK BROKE 💔” is not cute at all. I never even wanted to start a streak, so why should I be punished for breaking it? Used to love this app but will be deleting if you don’t fix this soon.

Glitchy Dystopian Hellscape. App refuses to work every time I use it (iPhone 11, newest updates) the camera refuses to work, adding text doesn’t work half the time either. Only way I can make it someone operational is if I close the app and open it again, not to mention that all the features that we used to use daily are getting blocked off behind pay walls. Fix your app before you start asking money for features.

PLEASE BRING GALLERY OPTION BACK. I love this app but just yesterday I was able to add a photo from my gallery as a note & it was the best thing ever. But now I’m not able to do it which is really sad & I feel like looking for another app that does exactly that because it’d be so cool to send pics of memories together to my long distance partner’s phone. :’)

don’t like streak focus. I like the app and use it often, but the new changes to the widget is really annoying me. The whole point is I want to look at my friend’s drawing but now if I don’t maintain the streak, it’s covered by a big broken heart or covered by a border to let me know that the streak is almost broken. Just show me the drawing without anything blocking it :(

It is soooo fun. I love sending my friend pictures!!!!! The only think I would change is that I can only send pics to 1 person!!! I wish I could send pictures to more people!!

Suggestion. Hello! the app its great and it works great, i just think it would be a nice idea to make a group setting to share notes with friends! and also to be able to choose from older notes to make them the current in display for the widget :D have a nice day

This app is good but…. The app is really good, the design is great and I love using it. But lately it’s been freezing up before I even open the app fully, it freezes, goes black and then kicks me out. It’s not a problem on my end becuase I have tried it on many different internet connections and my phone is brand new. Love the app and all but this is really annoying when I’m trying to save a streak.

Cute app but please remove the streaks system. The streaks system is such a dealbreaker for this app because if your partner goes camping for instance and has no connection, then all your memories get wiped. Please remove it or atleast when the streak breaks the notes/photos don’t get deleted

“Streak” Update. Hello! The new streak feature kinda defeats the purpose of leaving cute notes on the Home Screen. It is frustrating to see the ‘streak broke’ message on the widget instead of my partners drawing. We don’t use the app everyday, instead creating detailed, meaningful drawings that are aesthetically pleasing on our home page and stay on there for months at a time. Please reconsider the streak broken feature, either by removing it entirely, or allowing users to switch it on and off. Thanks <3

new update is causing the apps downfall.. overall the idea is adorable although there is continuous apps that do the same thing this one became viral because of tiktok. I have noticed however everytime they’ve brought out a new update for this widget app it always crashes and results to more bad reviews and causes the apps downfall, sometimes when i’m in the middle of a drawing the drawing tools don’t even show up? and if they do they vanish shortly after i’m drawing for about 1 minute and then i can’t finish my drawing so i have to exit the app and when i go back into the app my progress is unsaved and starts over from scratch, this is all due to the newest update.

A cute app but notifications need to be added. I love this app, my partner and I lived pretty far away from each other so leaving little notes was fun, but the problem was we missed A LOT, the app would be so much better if there were notifications

Please get rid of the multiple people at once idea. What’s special about this app was that you could only sync with one person but now you can do more people, it’s just not that great of an idea since it’s less special now. Now it’s going downhills, please get rid of the multiple people ability it makes the app so much less unique

noteit ― update. i love this app so much it’s so cute! however it’s become difficult to draw and i prefer the original apple edit version and hope you consider bring it back! my friend and i lost our streak because i find it difficult to draw with the new update:( i also have an idea of adding a daily prompt and seeming you can send photos as well it would be cool if it said something like take a photo or a flower or something you enjoy stuff like this ! but please x4 bring back the original drawing way T_T otherwise best app :D

Noteit. I think this is so fun! Can we have the apple drawing tools back, and have the drawing screen larger and able to zoom in to focus on areas and the ability to put a photo in there, as well as being able to comment back to the others persons drawing inside the app. I love being able to watch the video of the drawing in time lapse. The streak feature is cute but it doesn’t really enhance the app’s ability.

New streak break filter on the widget sucks. Was a good app but then they added this filter to the widget which makes it red and adds a sad heart emoji when ur streak breaks. Very manipulative. For some reason the devs keep wanting to make streaks a thing. Prob cuz then they get more ad money that way. I don’t want to have to streak everyday. Sometimes I want a picture to stay for a few days. I had a frog picture but now it has a red border and broken heart next to it. Very sad. Will likely uninstall after a few weeks.

ummmm. try connecting to someone who isnt in ur messages contacts, it just resets the code everytime i get off the screen, the old update was so mucb better and REMOFE THE STREAKS

Its cute but... Its cute but i hate how when you lose a streak it’ll have this annoying message on your partners message saying “streak broke”. We’re both busy and can only send things when we have time. I dont want to have to stress about streaks and not being able to see their cute drawing properly

Please remove beautifying filter on camera😭. Really like the concept of this app, the new beautifying filter on the front facing camera is a jump scare though lol it’s way too much for me. Other than that it’s all good

garbage update. without the ugly streak broke notification that pops up on the widget this app would have been 5:5 stars for me. the streak broke notification is so ugly and gross and defeats the whole purpose of me having the noteit widget on my phone… to see nice photos from my partner… which i can’t see with a stupid streak warning over top of it 😒

Cool App!. This app is really fun and a great concept. It's a great way to send cute little drawings and messages to someone. However, it can sometimes be a little glitchy. Hopefully the new update fixes that! I think it can be improved by allowing the other person to comment on/below a picture instead of having to either exit the app and text them or sending a reply. I also feel like it would be better if you could do it with multiple people. Overall, I really enjoy it and would definitely recommend!

Barely usable. I’ve been using this app for several months and it’s only gone downhill from when I first downloaded it. Here’s why: 1. Too buggy and frequently crashes. You don’t know how many times I’ve lost work I spent a long time on. Also lags and slows my whole phone down. 2. Too much emphasis on streaks. Don’t cover the art with the red filter as many people have said - completely defeats the purpose. Also, stop pushing the streak repair feature, I literally do not care and have 0 intention of paying for that. 3. Stop making features that were previously free now part of a subscription. Way to ruin trust with your users. 3. Memory leaks - I don’t know how this happened but the app took 14 GB of storage on my phone at one point. Had to delete and reset my phone to fix which was a huge hassle. 4. New ads at the bottom - seriously? Why is everything a cash grab. So disappointed. 5. Widget rarely works properly. Displays art that’s several days old or displays nothing at all. I only keep this app bc my partner wants it. Otherwise this would have been uninstalled a looong time ago. Devs and designers please listen to your user’s feedback.

Widget Won’t Update With New Drawings. Been using this app for like 2 years now and never had any issues before. For the last week, my widget has been stuck showing a drawing from my friend and despite them drawing more things, the widget still displays the same old drawing. Tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, re-adding the widget but it’s still stuck :/ An update to fix this glitch would be great. If not, I’m going to have to stop using the app unfortunately

Honest Opinion. Noteit is a great app but from time to time it tends to crash or delete artwork though hours have been spent. It had deleted and undone some of my details I’ve done in artworks causing me to have to redo it multiple times.

why. the streak broke feature literally does nothing but make me want to uninstall, so ugly and doesn’t make me want to use it at all. literally don’t get it until this is fixed unless you plan to use it everyday (which who would)

App completely ruined.. Greedy developers strike again. The drawing portion of the app has been reduced in size for no reason other than to annoy the user with a bottom ad that takes up space. The drawing square does not need to be smaller but they make it this way to annoy you. I’m not spending 7.99 a week to make these ads go away. I’ve been using this app faithfully for over a year now everyday yet they continue to make it worse. Don’t download this app it’s not worth it.

Was amazing but not as much anymore. Me and boyfriend love this app and we send eachother cute notes all the time and use it to do countdowns! Makes it sweet fun and cute. But they recently added the ads and all the dumb diamond member things. I can handle the ads, I understand if they need to make money off of it and didn’t make enough. But the stupid diamond stuff is ridiculous! Especially when you were used to using all that. The price for diamond is unreasonable. But other than the whole diamond stuff it’s a great app

Ahhhh. This app crashes my whole fkn phone. Love the idea, but it would be amazing if the app worked with less crashing. ALSO MY WHOLE HISTORY DISAPPEARED AFTER LOSING MY STREAK 😭😭 which is lame. Losing the artwork that I let crash my phone countless times should not even be a possibility. The streak feature makes it feel like a stressful game more than a way to just connect with somebody; instead of just leisurely drawing something for a friend when you feel like it, you literally have to draw something or else all of your past efforts disappear. I get that the streaks are to keep audience engaged but personally, the game would just be more enjoyable if our drawings didn’t disappear and the app didn’t crash absolutely everything. Thx ! 😍

Make you lose your account once you redownload it. The app is indeed simple to use, but this come with a major problem. Once you redownload it, it won’t ask you to sign in or anything, it just want to add your partner straight from contacts and nothing else. The app is not reliable as well, it some times won’t update the widget either.

New update has an issue. Great app, I’ve been using this with my girlfriend for nearly a year. Only issue is that we use it a few timer per week to send each other notes, it would be nice to see her note without a filter over it saying “STREAK BROKE”. We do not care about our streak, please allow us to turn this off in settings. I’ll change my review to a 5 then. Update: they fixed the issue. Good devs.

Switched phone or updated. I switched my phone and did a back up of my old one in the new one and now I’ve lost everything I had with my boyfriend:( other then that it’s a good app but it really sucks that I lost everything we had before

very buggy. i do not have the paint bucket tool that is shown in the photos, and my app crashes very frequently. additionally, i updated while a drawing was in progress to hopefully stop my app from crashing and a new bar at the bottom for ads appeared, changing the size of my canvas and cutting of part of the image i had drawn. good concept for an app but almost too buggy to use sometimes.

I've been loving it, but the streak part is not fun. My partner and I have been using this for several months. I have the widget on my home screen so that I can see the last drawing he made. I have been loving it. It is so sweet. But. I really don't like the streak part of it. It seems like one note a day is not even enough to keep it? I'm not sure, but it seems like far too much. I just wish there was a setting to turn of streaks, especially now that an update has made it so you cannot even see the drawing on your widget if the streak broke. Which defeats the purpose of having the app to me. I just want to casually send notes back and forth with my partner whenever we please.

they are deleting reviews; over inflated review score. you might notice a hand full of one stars and think they must be negative nancies... no a lot of people are having issues and complaints and are voicing genuine criticism that isn't far fetched or rude because as you'd expect of people who are using this app we just got it because cute couple things to do with our significant other but the developers refuse to acknowledge that we don't like the new changes and that we think less is more but they insist on going forward with earmuffs on and deleting A LOT of the criticism to inflate there score and draw more people in with big shiny review number because higher must mean quality right? it's sad but when you got money to burn might as well do absolutely nothing good with it

Gets worse with every update. I love using noteit with my friend but the user experience is worsened every time it gets updated. It’s constantly buggy and needs QoL additions. I am rating 2 stars because the most recent bug I’ve experienced is very close to being my last straw. The app froze while I was colorpicking, I couldn’t even close it. I tried to shut my phone down but it made my screen unresponsive so I had to do a hard shutdown. As for the QoL additions I mentioned; It’s extremely annoying when I click undo and it exits the brush menu, please make it stop doing that. I wish there was a way to disable the timelapse, as it makes my phone hot if I spend a while on one drawing. There needs to be a way to just download just the image OR the video, instead of being forced to download both.

please go back to the way it was.. it was good, maybe even great but these new updates are TOO MUCH. the streaks are annoying and so unnecessary. there is NO reason that the streak should interfere with the usage of the app. having a little timer in the app is more than enough there is no reason it should affect the widget on the home screen. it’s just annoying. it’s not on it for a whole few hours until it says “streak expiring soon.” it’s not making me go on the app more. it’s making me go on it LESS hoping the “streak broke” border won’t appear around the doodle for once. if anything, there should be an option to toggle it on and off in case people want the visual reminder. the doodles and the pictures are fine, but the other features are starting to take away from the purpose of the app. LESS IS MORE.

Several glitches to be fixed. The “settings” button does nothing. Also, clicking on yours or your partners past drawings to enlarge them in the app does nothing 95% of the time. Last things are just drawing frustrations— when you go to draw a line from one side to the other of the screen, it doesn’t recognize it unless your finger is on the drawing area. It takes several tries sometimes to draw a simple line because your finger was slightly off the drawing area. Second, I wish the ruler would stay in one place when you zoom in/out. This would be a great app I would recommend to others IF these things were fixed, but it doesn’t seem like a play-tested app.

Terrible update and feature changes!. I really liked this app, it was really cute and a really good way to check in on my mom and leave her fun notes and pictures. Well this new update is awful! After the streak breaks it completely covers the picture with a broken heart and completely ruins it! I don’t want to have to always feel forced to send something everyday, I wanna do it whenever I feel like it!! Not to mention the app crashes every time I try to turn off the “notify when streak is broken” option and so it won’t let me turn it off. Unfortunately, I’m probably going to just delete the app. No point in keeping it if I can’t enjoy it, was fun while it lasted though!

Noteit. Noteit is a really fun app! I love that they updated it so I can have more then one friend on it! It’s fun if you wanna challenge your friends to have a streak and you can have a fun time on it. The only downside to the app is the color customization. I saw that you could change the color and got really excited because I wanted a different color, only to find out you had to pay for it. I think we should be able to choose the color that we want. Other than that it’s a great app and I have fun on it so you should download it!

loved this app until the most recent update !. I absolutely loved (note that this is past tense!) this app, as it allowed me to share cute drawings with my love while we’re apart. buuuutttttttt while we were super excited for the most recent update and the ability to add photos to our drawings, it’s consistently interfered with our ability to share Anything. leave the app? the tools become inaccessible. tap slightly off the drawing? the tools become inaccessible. screen turns off? the tools become inaccessible. close the app? your whole drawing is erased. any drawing that takes more than 30 seconds is pretty much doomed to being incomplete, whether that means you can’t add to the drawing because the tools don’t reappear orrrr it gets wiped entirely. please fix this app. i miss sending drawings of worms to my boyfriend.

Almost Perfect. I love note-it & i've been using it a lot recently as me & my girlfriend are trying long distance. But there are a few issues that prevent this from being as enjoyable of an experience as it should be. The biggest one is the fact that to switch pages in note if you have to swipe. This is a huge problem as a lot of smaller strokes register as swipes. If there was a way to lock the canvas in place, it would make an huge difference. On top of that there is no fill feature. This is more of a small quirk than anything, tho it would be nice if it were added. These two things keep this from being a 5 star app.

Takes too much storage + streak is bad. I and my long distance boyfriend really enjoyed this app at first but after a couple updates, the app keeps encouraging us to pursue a streak, which I understand where it came from but it lowkey stresses us out because we like to take our time with our drawings. Plus when the streak is broken, all of my drawings are deleted, which is sometimes disappointing when I forgot to save a favorite drawing I sent for example. Plus, after a while using the app, I found out it took 9 GB of my phone’s memory!!! That’s way too much. I have to delete it and probably reinstall, or maybe I’ll find another app to send notes to my boyfriend instead.

Great app but new update makes me sad. I have a note from my girlfriend still on my screen she never used the app anymore but i atill love seeing it recently you decided to release an update where it makes the note red and says streak broke to the point i cant even read the old note and it doesnt ever go away until you send a mew message please just delete this feature it ruins the whole idea of the widget on the home screen. Whats the point of having a note if you cant even read it

App Went Way Downhill. My girlfriend and I used to love writing each other fun little pictures on this app. But around 3 months ago the new updates started rolling out and the app has become virtual unusable. First, the portion of the screen that is used for drawing notes went from practically the entire screen to a fraction of the space. It kneecaps the creative function of the app, and makes drawing notes way more difficult. So much so that we don’t find it fun anymore. We used to enjoy making detailed drawings, but now couldn’t care less. Which leads to another important point - where did all our old notes go? All the sudden we lost the months worth of notes we had created each other without a trace. We never anticipated losing all the memories and inside jokes we had. If we could still access our full archive we might still regularly use this platform if only to look back. But no. This app used to be a small source of happiness my girlfriend and I would surprise each other with. Now, the app is getting deleted so we can make space for a better alternative.

New update looks good but some weird issues. I like using this app, just a couple things I noticed in the new update that really sour the experience. For one, if I click off of the drawing area while drawing, I am unable to access the drawing tools anymore and I can’t pull them back up, meaning my drawing is essentially finished. Two, the drawings no longer save when I exit the app. Before, if I am working on a drawing and I exit the app, I can come back and continue the drawing at a later time. Now if I exit the app and come back, my drawing I was working on is fine and I’m met with a blank screen. Would be great if these issues are fixed soon

Old notes taken- including one asking me to be my wife’s girlfriend long ago.. My old notes were very important. There was one where my now wife asked me to be her girlfriend, and all those cute monthly “anniversary” notes, and then the notes from around when we got engaged. The stupid little ring and wedding dress drawings before marrying each other. Those memories are lost and I feel like when the app started gaining traction it just was a lure to get money. These used to be cute memories and now it’s not at all like the app I downloaded at the beginning. I can’t believe the audacity of erasing moments because you want my money. It’s cruel to your user base and I suggest everybody else delete it, too- go somewhere and find a better alternative that won’t cost you anything. WRONG MOVE!

don't download unless they fix the update. Ever since they started updating the app and adding very useless features like making a tiktok or adding the camera feature and streaks where you can no longer see the drawings you made after 24 hours. I have the most problems with the very last update because not only is the god awful teal color harsh to look at, it came with so many bugs. My phone heats up and starts glitching out which isn't even the worst part. They added a feature where you the second you press "done" it hides your tools to draw and you can't get them back so you are forced to either start again or send the picture without it being finished. And now when i press on the tool bar nothing comes up, i can only draw with black ink. Fix your app.

New Update. This app just gets worse and worse after each update and I’m not the first review to point this out. The creators of this app need to listen to these reviews and fix this issue. My long distance boyfriend and I have been using this app for awhile now and it was great. We’ve sent each other so many cute notes but with each update we use the app less and less. The changes to the actual drawing screen really bug me, it’s hard to actually create the notes I feel. The new edition of a red broken heart over the widget when a streak is broken is the most annoying thing. We don’t have time for keeping a streak, we like to send a note whenever we feel and would prefer to not have it turn red.

Updates are terrible. This app used to be a fun way to connect with someone and send cute messages or pictures. Now, it's just more of a chore than anything. The UX for drawing is a pain to begin with. You can't fill an entire shape with a color, you have to manually do it. And the way the weight of your strokes are dependent on the pressure/angle of your finger on the screen makes it hard to draw something decent. Even so, I'd pop on every week and send my friend a new note. The streak notifications were annoying, but I didn't care about saving my history. But the new streak overlay with the broken heart is just jarring. I don't want to feel pressured to draw something every single day just to have a nice looking widget on my screen. We'll likely delete and seek an alternative app.

Switching to new app after latest update. I would love to keep using this app but I am switching to a new one after the latest update. My partner and I like to take time and draw each other cute pictures, not just quick notes. It’s nice to have the last pic we drew for each other displayed for at least a few days since we like to put a little more effort into them. With the new update the widget turns into a broken heart after 24 hours, but even before the 24 hours is up they cover your pic with a timer warning you that the streak will end. This completely ruins the user experience. Why sabotage a good thing with this huge change? Many people will be leaving, me included

dev decisions ruined it. If you’re like me, you used to love this app’s unique concept, robust art tools, timelapse feature, and utility in long distance relationships. I loved having my partner’s cute or stupid little drawing on my screen; it was like a mini lock screen that would change when she thought of something new to draw. None of that matters now. Since the new update, the widget now tints the window an ugly red and overlays a passive-aggressive “Streak Lost 💔” if you DARE not use the app every 24 hours. It reeks of a pathetic attempt to shake the loose change out of a community that’s built on wholesome connection. Simple fix guys: get rid of the horrid overlay, and all the insulting attempts to monetize what should be a sacred activity, making art for your partner.

Please scale back the streaks feature!. I’m not a fan of the new update. It’s extremely annoying having my partner’s drawing widget obscured by the “streak broke” and countdown. This is, by far, the most frustrating aspect of the update. Please remove this feature—or at least allow it to be toggled off. I appreciate that the team added the ability to see your own previous drawings, but the structure of the timeline is really challenging to navigate. The scroll section is too small to effectively find drawings, and the “streak broke at X” is unnecessary and clutters up the timeline. A gallery would be a much more elegant and simple solution. The streak functionality is simply too clunky and takes away from what the focus of the app should be—sharing a moment. What I find most enjoyable is being able to create a little doodle in the spur of the moment when I’m thinking of my partner. It’s a sweet way to say “I’m thinking of you” and is most appreciated when it’s unexpected and organic. The streak feature as a whole is too “in-your-face” and really sours the experience of the app.

used to be a good app... My friend and I had been using this app for a while. It was really cute and we both liked it a lot, then they had an update to it and that’s where it all went down hill. One, I don’t like how you can watch the play back of the process of it, personally I don’t want them seeing all the times I messed up. Second, I hate how all of the previous drawing you guys made delete after missing one day, that to me is really dumb. I used to like going back and looking at the old things we made and now I can’t. This doesn’t matter as much but the new layout of it is just honestly really ugly looking. I feel like it’s harder to find stuff on there. Please bring the old note it back.

Updates :/. This is such a good idea and app and stufff but these updates mannnn. It’s just the little stuff that make it so Inconvenient and frustrating like the new one where I have to slide down the tool bar to undo a mark made insted of the undo options being on top of the bar. Or wenever u do undo watever ur drawing, if u mess up the first mark made and undo it it sends u back to all the options and camera taking and erases all the adjustments to ur brush. All the notifications and I swear streak times are sooo short like I feel like I’ll send a note then 30 mintues later it sends a reminded to update or else the streak will die.

Update made it horrible. My partner and I used this app pretty regularly before it updated. It used to be easy to navigate and use, and allowed us to keep in touch in a cute way. Now that’s it’s updated, we hate using it. The drawing tools are hidden and it’s 10 times harder to send a stupid little drawing. The app layout is horrible and hard to navigate. There’s a Timelapse feature that is incredibly annoying as you have to wait and watch it before you can see the drawing. I could get how this would be an interesting feature, but it would be nice to have the ability to disable it. We’ve stopped using the app because it is no longer a simple way to send something to your partner and has become extremely difficult and frustrating.

Used to be Better - Stop Spamming Notifications!. I loved this app before the newest redesign. I don’t feel it’s as user-friendly, but that was kind of secondary. I am getting notifications just to open the app every couple of hours! I only want a notification if I receive a new note, and there is no way to separate out these types of notifications. I noticed that a lot of things were being fixed based on reviews, so I’m bummed to see that this “feature” is seemingly here to stay. Unfortunately, this is a deal-breaker when it comes to apps for me, and I have uninstalled. I get overwhelmed with notifications I actually need to see, I don’t need spam notifications to add to my anxiety every couple of hours.

apps cute but issues. the playback has an issue where it takes forever to download so i’m forced to close out of the apl and then when i come into the app it literally deletes my playback . i can’t even watch when the process of what I made . i sometimes spend like 40 minutes drawing something for my partner and the app doenst let me see that . and the notifications are annoying . it should just save all our drawings to a folder instead of having us keep up with a streak . the tool features are also very annoying why can’t it all just be on the screen . App was working normally at first but now seems to be giving me some issues . And the developers are no where to be found . have sent countless emails . no reply . Don’t even reply to reviews . do better .

I love it but…. I love this app, Ive been using it for the past year my boyfriend and I use it a lot but I changed phones now and I have the iPhone 14 pro and I don’t like the way the widget for note it has a broken heart on top of the note whenever the streak ends, in my old phone’s widget did not had that feature so it was fine but now it is a little depressing hahaha hopefully there is an update that fixes that because the streak will end of both of us are busy but I don’t need a red broken heart on top of a beautiful/romantic note. I hope you read my review to change it because I really love this up but I hate that feature

used to be good. This used to be such a great way to leave thoughtful doodles to my partner, but the past few updates have soured the whole app for me. Having the last drawing sent to me covered up with a red filter and the words “STREAK BROKEN” slapped over the entire image because I haven’t had the time to send another doodle in the past 24 hours was a terrible idea. Also, why can’t I download past images without the teal border? I get wanting to make it for branding/visibility purposes or whatever but at least give us the option to download just the original image (slap on a small watermark in the corner if you’re so insistent). After these changes I can’t see myself using this app anymore so if these aren’t fixed I’m just going to delete.

Tough. I really want to love this app. But as many users have said, the streak system is a real bummer. It doesn’t really serve a purpose, and given many long distance couples use this as a way to communicate and show they care, it’s really disappointing to have work deleted. Very money centric, and it’s not cheap! The weekly membership is obscene. I mean not even a Snapchat membership is as much as this app is. I’d be much happier with the occasional ad. Or even watching an ad if the streak breaks, to get it back! As fun as this app can be, it doesn’t seem like the developers much care about what the most recent reviews are saying. Drawing functions can be wonky too which isn’t a huge deal, but at times the app feels unpolished.

Streak updates make it worse. There was an update recently that emphasized streaks more, where each person needs to send a picture once overt 24 hours or a big red border and red film goes over your drawing. I cannot emphasize how much this makes the app less enjoyable. First of all, if I make a nice drawing it can’t be on my partners phone for long without a red screen on it, which makes me a bit sad. It also adds an element of stress to the app and leads to some rushed drawings. If the goal is to get people to use the app more, spend more time on fixing bugs that make it harder to draw instead of these annoying streaks features that add no enjoyment whatsoever.

Good for sending notes long distance relationship. Pretty sure everyone gets the idea of what this app is for. Devs are very responsive too, whenever I find an issue I email them and they get right back to me. So far they’ve fixed everything they said they would. Only problem I have is on the back end of the app. This app takes up over 5gb of storage, so I feel like something really must be wrong there. For reference, an hour of 1080p video @ 30 FPS is roughly 7-8gb. So that is a lot of storage for an app that only sends pictures/drawings. If they could figure that out I’d bump the rating up to 5, but until then the app is a data hog and that seems a little strange to me.

Frustrating Streak Filter. I loved this app when it first came out and even found the streak system pretty fun when it was rolled out. But since the most recent updates emphasizing the streak system, it basically renders the widget useless after 24 hours because the drawing gets covered by a red filter and broken heart. I understand creating the streak system to keep us engaged & using the app more, but why force us into it by removing functionality and preventing us from seeing the last image just because we didn’t send a drawing back? Why gameify an app that was just supposed to be fun & connect me with my partner while long distance? The app was once so good, and at that point, I wouldn’t have even minded watching a quick ad before I could doodle, but now I’m just frustrated by the attempts to monetize the app by covering up our drawings when the streak breaks.

A great idea ruined by the streak system. Being able to send your partner notes back and forth is a wonderful idea and it genuinely makes my day, but there is genuinely no reason to have a streak system that deletes all of your notes if you don't send one every day. An unnecessarily cruel punishment that doesn't incentivize me to send more notes but instead discourages me from doing so. Also ever since the most recent update this app has been sending me notifications to draw another note way too frequently. With the worst of it being 7 times in 10 minutes. A nice app to use with a partner or close friend if you can look past how desperately this thing wants you to use it.

Glitchy. I usually never leave reviews on apps but lately this app has been horrible. Every time I’m drawing even if it’s a pretty simple drawing, it puts me out of the app. When it’s a complicated drawing it’s a nightmare trying to draw everything before it glitches and makes me redo parts of it. Then, trying to send the drawing it constantly tells me there was an issue sending “failed to send, tap to retry” and it’s a 50/50 chance of it actually going through. You can’t resize the text bubble so that you can have one long line of text instead you have to break up the text to keep it in a line, and you can’t even choose the text formatting (left, middle or right oriented). This app needs serious work. Not to mention the new streak format, I despise that it covers the other persons drawing in the widget when you don’t maintain the streak.

PLEASE TAKE AWAY THE STREAK. I’ve been using this app a while now with my boyfriend and we really do love it. However, after redownloading it after the crash fixes, I’m sorry to say that the new update makes the app experience really awful. The fact that I can’t see my drawings if I don’t keep up with the streak is really annoying. This feature becomes even worse when the streak ends before the 24 hours are even up, which has happened to me several times. Not only that, but sometimes the app won’t even recognize when I’ve sent another drawing and I have to create another one so I don’t lose my streak. The new tool bar is also strange. It’ll randomly disappear when I’m in the middle of a drawing and automatically default me to a tool that I wasn’t even using. I also preferred the original way of viewing your history. Now I’m constantly accidentally swiping to the other tab while I’m drawing. Overall, it is a good app that I would love to continue to use, but these features make the experience really, really frustrating. (I am once again asking you to pleaseeee take away the streak.)

It was great before the update. Now I might delete. My partner and I loved this app but ever since the new update it’s all about the streak and it’s constantly blocking my partners notes with notifications about the streak ending and it’s an everyday streak. It just blocks over the notes saying our streak is about to end, we have an hour to fix the streak and when you go more than 24 hours without sending a note is put a big broken heart over their note that says streak broke. Sometimes we don’t have time to update our notes every single day but now I can’t even enjoy looking at them because they’re blocked with the stupid streak notification on my Home Screen. Seriously. Fix it.

👎🏻. i do not like that i cannot see my recent drawings. i had a streak of 50 and forgot and now they are all gone it is unbelievably stupid that to see them i have to make sure i draw something everyday what if i just want to have the one drawing for longer because it’s cute or forget because i am doing a lot that day? I CANT or i’ll loose the streak and all the recent drawings with it i would rate it 5 stars if i could see my drawings but it is pointless to have since i cant see my own as well i also do not like that after 20 drawings of my bfs i can no longer see the other ones he drew i should be able to see all of them. i am most likely going to find another app at this because i want the memories and this app does not keep them for me.

Was good but…. HACKERS NOW Have been using this app for a while now. I can only assume that I started using this app when it was still very new because the app was very barebones. The app was good but tended to crash and be very laggy. Over the past couple of months they have added things that I understand are necessary as a free app but have been implemented very poorly such as a subscription service and ads that when rolled out blocked the drawing tools making the app unusable for how everlong that lasted for. Now there seems to be hackers on the app. My SO got some Russian drawing her smiley face notes which is very concerning as this bring the security of this app into question. If you are going to keep using the app just be careful with what you draw and the type of pictures you send.

Cute but.... I love this app. Me and my friend do this together and I love seeing new notes appear on my widget. But I have one problem. When Im working on a note and I take longer to finish, the app will crash and will not allow me to reopen the app. Sometimes it freezes my whole device. The only way I can get back into the app is if I reset my whole phone. Its a little extreme for such a silly reason. Not sure if anyone else has this problem with this bug, but its pretty annoying and sometimes it resets my note that I worked really hard on :( Please fix this bug, because then it will be a 5 star! Thanks

cute, but not that good. It's definitely cute. The idea of having a widget of your partner's doodle is pretty original, but it takes an extremely long time for the picture to actually transfer to the recipient's widget. It's instant if the recipient was to interact directly with the app, but you don't get notifications if you receive a new note. the drawing process also has some glitches, where you're unable to access your tools if you accidentally click outside of the tool box, or you're unable to send your doodle. there's so much hassle that it's better to just stick with other apps that already have the doodling part. having a widget of the doodles doesn't outweigh the cons of the app.

too annoying. honestly loved this app, it was so cute and you could send back and forth littles messages and they could last for as long as you wanted. now with the new update, after less than a day of having a new message, a yellow border will pop up on the message and it will say “streak ending!”. if you don’t make a new message in time a red border will pop up and it will say “streak ended 💔”. i hate this. i like when my partner sends me a message and i get to look at it on my phone for days, weeks, or even months. i DO NOT like when my message goes RED and has a broken heart on it. if they got rid of this new added feature, i would love the app more. i don’t care about having a streak, i care about sending messages to my partner. i would just get another app.

good app but some changes could make it better. I use this app with my best friend and it’s pretty good! It can be kinda glitchy or whatever but it always goes back to normal. I would like to use it with another friend too though! That would make the app so much better. I also really don’t understand the point of the streak? It kinda takes away the fun part of the app, which is that it’s random cute messages! And when the streak is broken/lost it just says that in huge letters rather than the last note :/ I still like the app but it could be a lot better! :)

HISTORY WILL DELETE. I loved this app, me and my brother had it when he wasn’t at home and I already had several complaints. First off the brushes had awful sensitivity and would freak out randomly. Second what I got to view was just garbage, I was only allowed to see things he sent me when I would like to see some of the things I sent him too, I drew things I was decently happy of showing him but I wasn’t allowed to see them for whatever reason. Third the history doesn’t make any sense, neither of us have the time to come back every day to draw something and we’re ok with that but now everything we drew would get deleted if we don't???? This last update was the last straw when it actually erased EVERYTHING we did together.

New update is disgusting. The app used to be great, but ever since the addition of streaks and not allowing your partner to view drawings 24 hours after sending is absolutely absurd. 24 hours is not at all enough time to be able to appreciate the received drawings and I don’t understand at all why anyone would think otherwise. To block out the drawing after a broken daily streak is an absolutely disgusting addition to a once great app. Shame on the developers for implementing this change. In addition, the settings can never be saved. Every time I exit the settings menu the options revert back to normal. There is no save button either. Please fix the app. It’s something that used to bring so much joy to my partner and I. Now I’m heavily contemplating deleting the app without looking back due to the new changes.

Problems 🤷. The reason why I rated this is because at first the app was working perfectly fine but then when I wanted to copy the color with the dropper it all started I was drawing a cute picture for my friend and I needed the same color again and since the thing that I had to copy was small I had to zoom in then use the dropper tool so like a second later when I was using the tool it took me out of the app so I had to delete the tab then go back in and now it’s not just with the dropper now by just zooming in I get kicked out and it doesn’t let me back in

takes too much storage. i really like to send pictures to my online friend and we go back and forth a lot with cute pictures, and when i was in the middle of drawing something the app kept on closing and closing and i struggled to even open the app and sometimes even other apps. i checked the updates, all recent and up to date on everything. i check my storage and the noteit app is taking up as much storage as my PHOTOS. 14gb. my god. this app shouldn’t be using this much storage and it’s actually ridiculous (especially after i have only 63gb left now out of 64 because of it) my friend and i are finding a new app as i type this.

Updates have ruined the app. I have been using this app for almost six months now—it started out amazing, it was the perfect app to use to send my partner little doodles throughout the day. However, with each update, the app increasingly becomes worse. It takes up more storage, it now deletes your history, it prioritizes tiktok. This app used to be five stars for me, but now it’s only two. PLEASE go back to a user friendly interface. I used to love this app, but now I contemplate deleting it every time I try to send my boyfriend a drawing. It’s frustrating to use and I’m not the only one who thinks so. Please, if you care about the long time users of this app, you’ll seriously reconsider the direction it’s going.

Not the same anymore. I used to love this app but after the most recent update it’s not the same. I’ve been using it with my girlfriend for almost 6 months but i don’t think i can use it anymore. Now the app prioritizes “streaks” and if you don’t send a message within 24 hours your note will have an ugly message blocking you from seeing it on your home screen. I started using the app because i wanted to be able to stay connected with my partner when we are apart. turning our what should be a sweet exchange into a form into some kind of cheap game is awful. I should be able to send notes at my own pace without the pressure from the app or the risk of my note being blocked from view. If the developers keep prioritizing streak I will have to find another app. if i wanted to keep streaks with my partner i would use snapchat.

Updates that ruin user experience. Do you guys read the reviews? Pretty much every update since mid-2022 has downgraded this app by A LOT. First, I can't just simply change the type of pen/pencil I'm using; I have to open a whole different set of tools and if I want to adjust it I have to exit that before going back to selecting the tool. WHY ADD SO MUCH WORK? And the dreadful streak system. Me and my friend spend a lot of time on each of our drawings and have a cooldown period of whenever-we-feel-like-drawing-again. I am not going to spend an hour or so drawing every single day for some "streak". That should be an option or something like a challenge for people who want it! I want to be able to enjoy my friend's drawings until she or I send a new one. PLEASE listen to your users because absolutely NO ONE likes these features!!!

This had so much potential. The idea is great and I loved using it with my girlfriend, but it’s sad how many features the developer has locked behind a paywall. Not only do you have to pay $8 to use basic features like seeing the history of drawings, but the $8 is a WEEKLY FEE. Seriously? It’s a borderline scam with how small that extra text was. There’s no iPad app if you want to draw with more detail, the widget had issues updating on my girlfriend’s phone and was just stuck on the same image for days after I made a new one, and when she uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it deleted her account and forced her to be added to my account as a new partner. Go find a different app that does the same thing. This one is awful.

Does its job!. Noteit does the job and shouldn’t generally be a problem for most people. Though, there are a few annoyances. One being the pen “pressure” on the main brush. It’s very thin until you put any amount of speed into your stroke, where it then goes to its maximum thickness. Moving objects around with the scissors/lasso tool completely breaks the note pad, and I’ve lost parts of my drawings before trying to move things around. The streak system is completely broken. It adds onto your streak with every drawing you create, not once a day. It’ll also break your streak after 24 hours no matter what, even if you send a note to try to maintain it. Once you send a note, it will automatically try to create a Tiktok video off your timelapse and you cannot exit the loading screen while it’s doing this. One small quality of life improvement that would be nice is if the ruler tool was thinner and would work even if your stroke isn't along its sides. (Oh and another would be if text had a width limit) Everything other than that works just fine. It’s a simple app that’s completely free without any ads, so I can’t be mad at it
