My .02 Cents. I love this app and everything about it, but instead of it just being called My Movies Pro… They have made several versions, My Movies Pro 1,2,3 and now 4 And instead of keeping their customer base happy, they want to squeeze yet another dollar out of you… I’m sure it takes an extreme amount of work to actually put all this info into an app. I really couldn’t tell you all the details about that because I’m not a programmer… however, I really appreciate the hard work that these people do. However if they’re going to just be greedy like they are… Then just charge us .99 a month like everyone else… or .02 cents for every movie when add a new one… And call the the new app My Movies Pro Max .99 a month (OR) .02 Cents for every movie you add… My point is stop trying to reinvent the wheel when the wheel you have is already amazing!

Love this app!!!. Love being able to keep track of all my movies. But a few days I bought the iPhone 14 Pro Max and downloaded this app. Is there a way to transfer all my movies without starting from scratch? Goddess I hope so! Please help!!!

I wouldn’t recommend buying this app. This developer wants you to believe that he keeps reinventing this app every two years. Then tries to force the current users to re-purchase the app. I bought and paid for the pro version because this app literally did everything that a movie app could possibly do. (i.e. scan barcodes, search online, track and sort movie lists) and honestly, it was a pretty good app. But I refuse to multiple times for the same basic features. Fixing bugs and updating for the new iOS versions is considered maintenance. On the bright side, I found a better app even more features. MovieBuddy. Honestly, MovieBuddy lets you back up and restore your movie library to iCloud This developer decided to block its existing customers who chose not to upgrade, which forced me to have to re-enter my entire library again. Using MovieBuddy.

Movie pro easy to use. I found this app to be easy to use both to add new titles and to check to see if I already own a title. I upgraded to the paid version as I had more DVDs than allowed with the feee version. Very happy with this app I recommend it. Wish there was something as easy to use to add and catalog my books

Awesome App for Cataloging your movies!. I had the free version for a short period and upgraded to the Pro version soon after! Definitely worth the $15!! I’ve been collecting Blu-ray/4k steelbooks for about 4 years now, and this app makes it so easy to store your collection! I love the layout, the cover art, how easy it is to scan your movie barcode to add it to your collection, or searching for titles is also so simple! I really love the way it displays everything about each movie, technical details, cast, movie trailer, and an embedded link to the movie’s IMDb page! Very nice touch! I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants a digital place to store their physical and digital collection! I also recommend downloading the Desktop version of the app available for both PC and MAC! You just need to remember your login information, and it’ll do the rest for you and sync your whole collection! Take my word for it! Upgrade to the Pro version if you’re a serious collector like myself!

Great movie database. This is a really nice database for looking up movies that you have in your collection. We can look up to see if we have a movie from several years ago and watch it again.

Great for its time. This app was great a few years ago. They have a desktop app that is used to maintain your collection. This main desktop app has not been updated in over 2 years.. there are issues that they have not fixed and now they throw a couple of updates on a mobile app and want to charge everybody to rebuy the app or charge $10 a year for this app. The other big issue is that physical discs are disappearing from society.. everything has been going to streaming where nobody owns the media and you basically just rent it…. It would be one thing is this app could stream movies, but it does not do that.. the last time streaming from my movies worked was ba k when Windows Media Center was big on Windows 7. Not sure if the app is really worth upgrading.. the previous version does its job to track my physical media inventory.

Best free app ever!. I highly recommend this app! I tried the free version and was so impressed that I have purchased the the upgrade and will do so again if necessary. It has saved me so much money buy not repurchasing the same movie again and it has my whole collection at my fingertips. You won’t regret using this. A+++

New phone won’t synchronize no reply for help. I had this program on my iPhone 12 for two years with 600 movies in the database. I paid for the pro version and was happy with it now I have a new phone and it will not load the movies unless I start paying for a subscription. Here’s the point developers don’t offer a pro lifetime plan and sucker people into paying for it, and then change it to subscription, the fair thing to do would be to offer the app version that we purchased at the lifetime price and leave us have our database there. If we already have an account just honor that account at the last version where you honored your initial offer for me that was my movies pro 4. That version is no longer available in the App Store. So if you buy a new phone you can’t continue with the version you had like you suggest in your comments.

Best way to keep track of movies!. When you own hundreds of movies, there’s no better way to keep track of them than My Movies. I used to loan out movies and then forget I loaned them out and, of course, the person forgot they had my movie. My Movies takes care of that. And it’s great not having to remember which movies I own - I just check My Movies. Great app!

Best. App. Ever.. I’ve used a lot of apps to track and organize my collection over the years. And this is by far the best. It’s also the only one that has a proper Apple TV app, that can cross sync with your phone app. This is a top tier app and the upgrade to the pro version is totally worth it. If they need to give just a little bit more love to the Apple TV version and this thing goes from bullet proof to Immortal.

Best cataloguing app for movies. I started with the free version of this app and was able to enjoy its clean and easy layout. They have a massive database of all the titles you would expect and also you can add a custom title and artwork for anything that might be obscure or unheard of. I have since upgraded to the pro version as my collection of films grew to be a couple thousand and have never had any issues. It is reliable and worth it if you have a growing collection try it out at least the free one!

Steals money. This app was worth it at first but after the latest update it wanted me to repurchase something I had previously bought.. I find it unfair that app developers can do this to customers.. I can’t even add movies or log into it with the facebook sign in,I won’t repurchase this app because of the way the developers operate it.. I give it a year before the change it and make it more expensive.. went from 6.99 to a 20$ year subscription such nonsense to purchase it for a price and they make it a subscription after that..

I did like the app, until I upgraded again. I’ve used My Movies for a very long time and have upgraded each time a new version came out. Well, I just upgraded to 5, and I was more than disappointed. I still have 4 on my iPad and will be using it instead, since 5 is completely worthless. First, I have always gotten the pro version since it was offered. I’ve never had any problems with the app during the time I’ve used it, other than getting a movie that wasn’t completely in the system and having to go through the adding - not bad at all. But I upgraded today when I received a notice saying I could upgrade for half price. I was charged full price, despite using the link in the email. Then after I downloaded the new app, went into the app, I found out that I have to subscribe if I want all my movies downloaded, otherwise it will only show 50 movies. That’s NEVER been the case before. Every prior download gave me full access to my entire movie collection and subscription service was never an option to be able to see all your movies. Bad move developers, you’ve lost a loyal customer and I’ll be asking the App Store for a refund.

A Great Way To Organize Your Video Collection. I have been looking for an app to organize my video collection. This is perfect. Lots of options to customize many things as well as ability to play trailers for the videos as well. A must have.

The free app is great for a smaller collection. I have been purchasing My Movies since version 2. I had bought the Pro version of My Movies 3 and was disappointed that even though I followed the instructions and paid for My Movies 4, it reverted back to the 50 title limit. I am glad to say that after purchase, the entire 500+ library was still available without reentering. Great app to make sure I do not purchase a duplicate while at the store.

May I Have Some More?. I have more than a thousand movies in my collection and this version is just an appetizer for me. I upgraded to the Pro version ages ago and I upgrade the Pro whenever it's offered. I will continue to do so.

Very efficient easy app. I started with the free version. Works well and got me hooked. Upgraded. The developers are reliable, keep the app in good shape, and release new versions every few years. This is worth every penny. I will get the next version when it comes out. And if i have questions, they answer their email requests! Bravo!

Great Video Tracker. I have purchased both ver 3 and 4. Each met my expectations. The app interface is easy to track my videos and is visually appealing. When I have had instances where thumbnail images weren’t available, it was easy to contact the app creator to add my images. Tech support is great although I haven’t used it much as the app has worked flawlessly. I would recommend this to anyone with many videos, especially when you have kids. It has kept me from purchasing videos we already had. Tracks downloaded videos as well.

Only way to catalog movies. I searched a long time for a mobile option to track my growing physical media collection. I started buying a lot of 4k movies and needed an app with a great layout. And this is it. I went for the yearly sub this time to support the dev. Highly recommend.

Just What I needed. I have an enormous movie disc collection, and this is absolutely the best way for me to keep track of it, to make additions and deletions, and to loan out copies of movies. I can also share my library with friends and family, and it keeps me from double buying discs that I already owned but can’t remember.

This app is worth living for. I collect movies! I blind buy! I do it all! And this app is the lock to all of it. Without it I would be lost in the sea of my collection but with it I have a companion that will take me on the world of cinema, television, and some anime. Please pay for this app. Trust me

Love this app, but…. Personally, I love the app. It’s easy to use, it keeps track of everything I own and who I lend my movies to. The barcode scan option is a great addition as well. However, every 1-2 years, instead of the app getting an update like most apps, it gets a new app. You log in one day and you get a message basically saying to download the new app in order to keep an up-to-date app that runs smoothly. There’s usually a fee included as well. This year, not only was there a new app to download to replace the old one, but now the fee has rocketed and it becomes an annual fee instead of just a quick one time thing to update and transfer info from the app you had before updating. So in short, the app itself is awesome. The updated new apps you have to download annually and the fee you have to constantly pay (and now an annual fee) is getting to be a bit much.

Best title database I’ve ever seen!. I’m still finding my way about this app. Each day is a new discovery. By far, this is the best title database I have found, and I have looked! It’s pretty easy to get a title entered that may not be there, which may happen with the proliferation of boutique labels. Some more and easier personalization would be nice. I’ve submitted a few suggestions and once I’ve finished entering my movies I will start adding more info to incomplete titles. Works well. Recommended!

Just awesome.. You know how sometimes you find something that just works? This is one. I loved it so much I upgraded and bought the pro version. That has a lot of features I don’t use, but I want these guys to stay in business. I have over 200 BR and DVDs, and this keeps them all sorted.

Best DVD/Blu-ray database available. I have been a user of this app for several years and I love it. I use it to track what movies I have and who I’ve loaned any of my movies to. If you have a large movie collection, this is perfect app to track/manage what you have.

Worth the money. I love this app it helps you keep track of your movies when you buy new ones or when you look at new ones you scan the barcode and they will let you know if you already have the movie which is awesome

Nothing else like it!. This app is far superior to all the others like it. I wouldn’t ask the developers to change a thing. The support is incredible ! Keep it short nothing but love and respect! Been using for 10 years now will never let go until I’m forced to.

Collection number. I really wish that when you look at the collection you have, you could see all of the titles that you have instead of just a certain amount.

A must for collectors. I liked the app so much I paid for the Pro. I use it to keep track of my 3D Blu-ray collection. It’s as easy as scanning the barcode on the back of the disc case and you can scan multiple disc which is great for people adding to their collection. It’s also nice to have in order to track your movies if you loan them out. You can update the app to show that its loaned out

Love this app. This app is really amazing I just started using it yesterday night instantly upgraded to the pro because I have so many movies of each format but I do wish one thing that you could add a thing for VHS to scan them on too that would be nice

Great app to keep all your movies organized!. This is such a good app if you have a lot of movies like me and want to keep them all organized and make sure you don’t accidentally buy a duplicate or just have a list of all of them.

The best!. There is no other way to organize my library of both physical and digital films. Being able to keep track of when and where I’ve watched each film or television show, and reference data has been fun for someone with trivia OCD.

Don’t buy this app unless you plan to pay for every upgrade. I was part of the original buyers of this app and it has put limitations on for every update. When I decided to put money into this app for my movie collection, all I wanted was a place to keep a list of my movies. I figured the original cost was fair for what I needed the app for, a list. Now with all the updates made to the app the app owners want to keep charging for all the momentous and grand evolutions to an app for a movie list. Where I was once able to keep a list for a few hundred movies, now I’m limited to 50. For those who are looking for a program that just keeps a list, this one sure looks like a subscription based service. Reader- Thank you for your time.

Too many updates & keep charging money. I loved this app before . I scanned my movies , was able to see them … blah blah blah . But they keep updating the app and you have to “upgrade” which means pay if you have more than a set amount so they came out with my movies 3 pro and I paid for that and boom it was the perfect version in my opinion . It was a one and done payment and I have only 1400 something titles and I have it on my iPhone and iPad and it looks amazing . I haven’t deleted it because if I do , I’ll lose everything . They do not have access to this app at all anymore . You’re now forced to pay monthly. Yeah no … sorry . My movies …. What are you doing ?

Getting alternate email addresses for online accounts is an excellent idea and will be very helpful to see who is selling our info. Sorry for the confusion. I am changing my stars to 5 as I had no issues with the app itself. It is easy to use and info could be shared with family which is very convenient. 😊 Original post: At first glance I thought this app was a good one. Easy to use and even considered paying the monthly upgrade to hold my large video library. HOWEVER, much to my disappointment, I noticed that only two days after downloading this app that my inbox is now suddenly filled with new spam! This is the only new account I’ve made in many months. Bad on me for not checking the fine print on privacy!

Best App for Physical Media Collectors. Easily the BEST app for physical media collectors. Easy to use, super helpful moderators, updates are constant to keep things moving smoothly. I’ve been looking for so long to find something that encompasses everything I would need in an app like this and I’ve finally found it!

Bait and Switch: Not Worth It!. I originally started using the free version of this app several years ago. At first I loved it, because it was a great way to keep track of my large collection of DVDs/BluRays. It took me hours to scan them all in, but I didn’t mind since it created a library I could reference right on my phone. Now, however, they’ve migrated to a new version of the app, and my entire collection of over 900 titles has vanished. I see no way to recover it, and on top of that, they’re limiting the free version to less than 50 titles. Otherwise you have to pay. So, all that time and effort I invested is down the toilet. Why would I pay them just to have to do all that work all over again? Plus, there’s clearly no guarantee that they would bother to retain my data? No thanks!

Do not upgrade or you’ll lose your collection. I have used and loved the previous version for several years. When I recently tried to add a new movie to my collection, I was forced to upgrade to version 4. When I upgraded the so called “free” version only carried over 50 of my 200+ movies. The rest are now being held hostage until I agree to a paid annual subscription. Suggest you look for a more reputable company to store your collection

Long time user. I have been using this app for many many years. The ease to enter in the movies, sort movies, pretty much anything you want to do with your collection you can do with this app. highly recommend it. Updates as needed with great attention to detail.

Great app for movie collectors. If you’re fussy about maintaining a detailed index to your movie collection, this is the app to use. Very comprehensive feature set. There’s lots of customization available, but the default settings have everything you need.

Crazy! How many times do I have to pay you?. I have paid for my movies app on multiple occasions. Done with it. Good app but doesn’t last long till they come out with another and you have to pay full price again. They comment on others that they never sell with a promise…uummm well ok, I ain’t buying anymore. Good lord man seems like a never ending scam where you know people did all that work to scam dvds and they are stuck and enslaved to developers never ending charging for upgrades. They explain away in a long rambling page but we still have to keep paying these guys. Crap, I got sucked in, gotta escape. Good app though, sketchy business model.

I Love this App !!!. I purchased this movie app with the hopes that it would be a great way to catalog my movies. It was even better than I expected. I have close to 2000 movies and I was constantly buying duplicates without realizing it until I got home. I love the simplicity of adding movies, especially being able to scan the barcodes. I did purchase the upgraded versions for all the extras that you can get because they are absolutely wonderful to have. I love that I can print out a list of my movies, sort, my movies, add movies that I have only seen and don’t have a copy of, and you even Mark borrowed movies as went out. I’ve never had a problem with the app that always upgrading it and doing a fantastic job. I have purchased all the updates because it’s just a wonderful app to use. If I could only have five apps on my phone. This is definitely one I would keep.

Great App. This has been one of the best apps I have! Fantastic for keeping track of your movie collection, this app has kept me from buying the same movie more then once cause I’ve gotten happy when I’ve seen the movie on sale and then I check the app and realize I already own it. Where has this been all my life?. So simple to use, this had the ability to do so much I put off setting it up for so long yet it took no time at all! It’s nice because it’s very easy to revisit various things at your own paces and is the only app I’ve ever found useful for keeping track of and managing my collection.

Constantly repurchasing all. I think I’ve bought this app 4 times now and I’m done. Th $15 pro version will not last long, you’ll be getting prompted in a year to buy the next version that looks virtually identical to the current verision. You dont even get all the features in the pro app when you purchase, statistics for example are only for the users who benefit the creator, whatever that means. Once my current version stops working, I’ll be moving on to something else.

The best movie cataloging app. I have used several different cataloging apps to catalog my movie collection, and this one has hands-down been the best I’ve used. Very intuitive and I appreciate that you can add multiple titles at once, and that there is an option to add by scanning the barcode on the box I would highly recommend my only quibble is I wish the contribution process was easier especially with cover scans.

This has been a money saver. Are used to type out a list of all my Movies, but I was very hard to keep updated considering I have over 1000 DVDs. This app has made it very easy for me to be able to just look up what movies I own and don’t known before buying. It has saved me money by not buying double copies more times than I can count so far I’m very thankful that this app is around.

The best. I’ve purchased and used this app for 5-6 years now. Simply the best database library in the market. I lend out some of my discs to family and the tracking system provided is brill. I also periodically create a pdf copy of my collection and load it to the cloud separately, I have it in case I need to contact my household insurers. Keep it up.

Best movies collecting app. I used this app for more than 10 year now. It is the best app for keeping track of your movies collection on the market. They updated it regularly and it is also not expensive. They will create new version once in a while for lost cost too.

Great on I pad - syncs with I Mac version. I enjoy having my movies on Mac, IPad, and I phone all in sync so whenever I update anything, it syncs with all of my collections including on line. Graphics look great so cover artwork is beautiful. Adds greatly to enjoyment of my movie and television collection.

Great App for Move Collection. I’ve been using version 3 app for over a year now. It does a great job keeping my collection organized. The database has lots of detailed information about every movie and adding movies is very easy with the scan barcode option. The new upgrade has some nice additional features and half off was very generous for existing users. After all the app developers can’t work for free so a 3 year cycle is quite reasonable. Customer support has a quick respond time to resolve issues quickly.

Great Collection Organizer. Previously used DVD Profiler. This one is much better and easy to use. I easily imported my collection from DVD Profiler. Highly recommended!!

Does not like honesty!. Bad customer practices. Instead of squeezing more money from current customers, try and grow your customer base. This is what a good business does. Treat your customers that have supported you better.

Excellent movie cataloging app. People keep complaining about having to pay $7 every 3 years, but come on. Are you kidding me? That’s all it costs to keep the app and service running? It’s a great deal. The app works brilliantly. I’ve loved using it over the last 4 years or so. And am so happy to have such a great option available. It does exactly what you think it does and it works brilliantly.

Don’t give them your money. I purchased the My Movies app years ago when it was “just” $7.99. I thought, “that’s kind of a lot for an app, especially one that’s basically a glorified spreadsheet, but I do have a large library of movies so I think it’ll be worth it for the convenience.” And it was. And then they dropped My Movies 2 and My Movies 3 and now My Movies 4. This wouldn’t be a problem if I could continue to add movies to my collection on the app I paid for, but of course I can’t because it “doesn’t receive updates.” Now they expect $10/year (or a one time payment of $49.99!!! $49.99!!!) on top of the money I already paid? I was told by the Support Team that I paid for a different product and that I would need to pay for the “new” app. Maybe I could get on board with that but then My Movies 5 will come out and they’ll tell me to cough up $99.99 for the “new” app. Pathetic excuse for a company, do not give them your money.

Great App. Longtime customer. Very pleased with the service and with the support team. They are helpful and responsive. Yes, the new version of software is a paid upgrade. But in well over five years as a customer, I’ve only had to pay for a new version of the service twice. And I got half off as an existing customer. It’s great to have my collection digitally archived and the ability to scan titles by barcode is very useful. Highly recommend to anyone with a collection too large to commit to memory.

Great App!. This is a great app! It is a great way to keep track of your video library! The only issue I have is not allowing photos of DVD covers to be uploaded and used when adding a DVD to my inventory. They only want scanned photos which doesn’t make sense. Most of the scanned photos of DVD covers are horrible. I have great DVD covers made with my phone and they are so much better looking. Some outside scans have other things in the background and are crooked and look like crap. Other than that, it’s a great app!

Last chance... I’ve paid for all 3 versions and I wish they’d stop “upgrading” to a new app and having to pay every time. Please for the love of god keep it this one app and just keep it a subscription fee or something.

Paid for original unlimited! Now SCAMMED. I paid for the original app a few years back. Then paid for the unlimited version. Now I am being scammed to do the same again only to pay by the Month or year. A couple years from now they will probably milk their customers for even more‼️

Great app. Several years ago I bought this app. As is most always the case it had a few bugs. But for the price paid, I had no complaints. On top of that, the customer support is outstandingly responsive. Now comes the new version for sale. Offered at $7.99 I jumped at the purchase. The last purchase impressed me. I look forward for all the improvements and refinements in version 4.

Great App!. This app is great for collectors. Sometimes I wonder if I own a movie and can easily look it up. Scanning dvds is so easy and can even add digital titles.

Angry. I just paid $9.99 to download version 3 and now I’m being told I have to upgrade and pay another $7.99?! My trust is broken, how do I know this isn’t going to be a regular occurrence? I’m done with my movies3/4.... and will be switching to a more trustworthy company. I’m really angry and disappointed over this.

Response Time For Problems. I have many apps on my phone. This is one of my favorites because it shows off my DVD collection of over 315 titles. I inquired about a problem that I was experiencing. Turned out the issue was because of something I had done wrong. What was impressive was the fact that the response time was less than a day to let me know where the problem was. Great Tool to Maintain Video Inventory. I have used several versions of this app. It allows me to maintain my inventory of all my video titles regardless of format (DVD, Blu-Ray, HD Blu- Ray and digital). Even though Movies Anywhere exists, there are still titles that are not supported in that app. My favorite feature about this app is that it allows me to to find what platform (iTunes, Google Play, Prime Video, Vudu) supports the title I want to watch.

Best app for my movie collection. Have been using the paid app since the beginning. Just upgraded to the 4 pro and have been satisfied like before. Hilarious how people complain about paying for an ungraded version. My collection is in the several thousands and can’t imagine trying to keep track without this app. The app costs about what I spend each morning on coffee and bagel. Keep up the good work, user for life.
