Easier than the Website. I love how this app makes it easier to navigate than the VA website. It’s real quick to check the status of my C & P exam, and the list of upcoming medical appointments I have. I was even able to upload needed paperwork for my compensation and pension exam right from this app. I can track the status of my C & P exam, an update any personal information for my VA account right from this app.

This App is a huge time saver!. I’m very impressed with this App! It is intuitive, easy to navigate and contains information I never noticed in Safari with MHV. The ‘Letters’ feature is spot on. I immediately downloaded a couple letters for my records. I sincerely thank whoever thought of the Proof of Service card. It will make checkout at the hardware store, so much easier! 😉 I give this App and The VA App Development team a big thumbs up for Ease of use and Content😎 Keep up the good work!

Useless. The APP as well as the site itself is useless. The information does not coincide with the actual claims. When you call and speak with a representative, they cannot provide you an update based on what’s on the app and or the current status. Additionally, it’s a different story every time you speak to someone and they try telling you what is actually taking place and they cannot make any sense of the information or the status. Very aggravating/frustrating. I’m trying to get a straight answer because the app and or website is essentially useless. One information is not up-to-date or accurate.

App review. I like it because I don’t have to google search to get started every time saving a couple of steps. I also like how easy it is to navigate and see my information. The major issue is I can’t find the pharmacy. That’s what I use the most. Also I hope it improves with being able to message the nurse and others on your team. Maybe it has already and I need to access and learn more about it. It would be very beneficial if it used notifications and alerts like many apps do. Those would remind us older folks to check in and see what is happening. Thank you.

Great start!. The app is a great first step! I mean, it’s ten years overdue, but it’s the VA after all. I didn’t have high expectations, but the app is clean, easy to navigate and offers veterans quick access to their information. It can only get better (I hope) and offer more information. Ideally, it can be a one-stop shop for ALL VA-related info, so no need to bounce between the VA site, eBenefits and other sites searching for info. Please don’t stop updating!

My Sanctuary. I cannot express how much the Veterans Administration in Richmond Virginia has turned my life around making me the man who I am today. I love being a Marine and the integrity it is taught me to be accountable and respectful to others. Problem is, it was a journey that text my soul and my body. The Doctors, Nurses, Specialist, Assistants (not to mention all the supporting roles that interact with we Veterans) at the Veterans Hospital in Richmond have been instrumentally and spiritually and helping me grow and rebuild my body. Whereas I’ve heard many veterans have challenges that have resulted in given opportunities for their individual growth; of the almost 25 years I’ve been going to the sanctuary I’ve had nothing but outstanding treatment. This new app has been another tool that has giving me the opportunity to submit this declaration, that I want the whole hospital to know, this is one Veteran that absolutely loves everybody who has done nothing but give and helping us (& me) in rebuilding our lives. From the deepest parts of my body, thank you for everything you have done for me and mine. God bless you all. OohRah, GitSum. SemperFi!!! 🇺🇸👍🏻 Phillip Mason Burroughs, US Marine Veteran

Really helpful. As someone who frequently uses the VA website for disability claims and healthcare, this is a huge timesaver. I read in another review that there might soon be notifications of medical appointment changes. This would be huge since I’m usually not told when an appointment changes or gets cancelled. The only improvement I would like to see is an ability to refresh the status of a disability claim. For instance it is 4:30 in the afternoon now but it is showing my most recent status from when I checked it at 10pm yesterday. It seems you can only check it once per 24 hours with the app. This is fine most of the time but when they are getting close to publishing a final decision, I’d like to refresh more often. As it stands, this is now pushing me back to the website daily.

Prescription Refills and Tracking. With today update, supposedly we should be able to do refills and do tracking. I updated the VA app but I don’t see this functionality. Deleted the app and reinstalled it but nothing. Besides that I love this app. Checked the app today and the refills and tracking functionality is working great. Now if we can check our medical records this app will be amazing. Great job developers. Great app! A lot simpler to check messages, Appointments and now refill and track medication. It will be a 10 Stars if I could check my medical health records.

Pro vs Con. PRO: Great APP to manage benifits, quick review of records, and manage claims / appointments. CON: it does not replace the website! Two examples Medical Support: Con: medical records - do online. There was a second app required with mix results. Con: RX support on VA app “VA Rx Refill” / PRO this app works great. Pro : DM to clinics and specialists for follow up questions / submit info / set up appointments. Con : Appointments are listed with physical location of hospital or clinic. But no details of DR / reason / quick ref phone (so many extensions). Also no DM / Cancel / Reschedule option. 4 stars for the above reasons. But huge improvement over the years. Big issue is the VA is trying to use this as the on stop fix. Elderly Vets and family support have hard time with it. The VA system is over whelmed so it’s a 5th Star potential for effort. This app is a must. It always gets better over time.

Appointments Not Showing. This app is a game changer! I would give it 5 stars but in the last few months my appointments stopped populating in the App. I was using it to add my appointments directly to my calendar and to keep me on track. With all of the different appointments, times and dates it gets very confusing very quickly. If you can please fix the Appointments functionality on the App I would sincerely appreciate it. Besides the appointments the App is outstanding. I use it to see the status of my claims, track and refill my prescriptions, message my providers, download letters, and even track my payments history. Once the appointment functionality is working again I would say that this is one of, if not the most, important App on my phone.

I’m feeling lucky!. I’ve been using the VA health system for several years and have been fortunate enough to also have been able to use the existing medical infrastructure outside of the VA. I am feeling very grateful for having the opportunity to use the VA medical system. I find it easy to navigate, and the people I have worked with have all been exceptional and their commitment to service and as far as I can see their qualifications are as good as any other health system, I’ve ever been, and worked in or had access to. In all honesty, I think our country would be well served to have this level of care available as a citizen of the United States.

Great job! However…. This is an awesome app, however there are some room for improvements. 1. It will be better when you check your appointments, you also have the option to make an appointments. 2. A feature where you can view the detailed of the visit. Ex. Your problem, what the doctor orders on the visit (Lab test, Ct scan, X-ray, MRI, etc.). 3. Also, a Directory where we can see the specific phone number of every department we like to make an appointment. (Radiology Department, Physical Medicine Department, Neurology Department, etc.). Overall good job.

Poor communication. My BDD claim was submitted in May for an Oct retirement. I was notified in June that VA received it. No other communication after that- in fact the website and app said they didn’t need any other documents from me at this time. Finally I called in Sept- almost 5 months after I submitted- only to learn that the VA didn’t have my medical records. My VSO never submitted them. The VA didn’t call, email, write, or say on the website/app that anything was missing. They just did nothing. I talked to three reps, including one supervisor names Conner, and got three different stories. I personally uploaded my records so now I hope things are moving.

VA and Professionalism. The Nurse practitioner I had for years all she gave me was Ibuprofen; this allows the VA to deny claims of pain and disability. When they are dismissive of injury and pain. And do fairly nothing to resolve issues, but destroys your organs instead. My new physician is better, but the VA is still lacking in what is will do for veterans heath. I walked around with a broken clavicle and had to get rotator cuff surgery, for a while and nobody saw it. Had to see an out side Dr. , saw an out aside neurology Dr for head issues, still fighting the VA for his diagnosis. The VA is all about not paying the veteran. Trying to find ways to not give you money. Adding back dated clames and increased percentage but it went back 10 yrs where the back dated pay??

Veteran experience. Here is a sample review for the VA app that helps veterans access their healthcare and benefits information: As a veteran, I have been using the VA app for a few months, and I have found it to be incredibly helpful. The app has made it much easier for me to access my healthcare and benefits information, as well as schedule and manage my appointments. One of the things I love about the app is the convenience it provides. I no longer have to wait on hold for long periods of time or navigate through a complicated phone tree to get the information I need. Instead, I can quickly and easily access my healthcare and benefits information right from my phone. Another great feature of the app is the notifications. I receive alerts when it's time for my appointments, and I can easily reschedule or cancel if necessary. The app also provides reminders to refill my prescriptions, which has been incredibly helpful. Overall, I highly recommend the VA app to any veteran who wants to simplify their healthcare and benefits management. It's easy to use, reliable, and provides all the information and tools I need to stay on top of my health and wellness. Thank you, VA, for creating such an excellent app for veterans!

Pain and medication. Seems like VA doesn’t want people taking any pain medication unless it’s in the hospital and everything is great. They discharge you and tell you that a lot of meds like Clozapine. I was told by my primary care doctor. He said I can’t get both pain meds and pain attack medication. I was told to choose one. I had a total pain attack 28 September 2022 at VA during appointment. My condition for my pain attack with acrophobia diagnosis in 1997. I been on meds for a long time. Now I am trying to make appointment with psychiatrist because I need this medication. I read the article about vets and suicide. I am not suicidal and I have taken both medications for the last 4 years when I was on pain management. It’s monthly and random drug test. I have researched and I know my meds and if you take as prescribed I don’t see a problem. I believe VA wants to do the right thing. I am very happy with VA. I am learning but I think you are pretty awesome

Va app. When your waiting over 25 years for a discharge upgrade and you get it You really appreciate the speed of this app at least on iPhone . I anxiously wait for benefits I’ve been deserving of for over 25 years. I’ve had no recognition for my service and made me feel like less of a provider and not as proud as I should have. So I’m excited to see finally what I’ve earned. Thank you board of corrections for partial relief better late than never

Missing Explanation for Backlog. I chose the direct review process because it was presented as only taking up to 12-months for a decision. It’s taken far longer than 12-months. In this time I have never received any status or explanation for why it’s taking so long, and eBenefits just keeps saying that it’s awaiting to be sent to a judge without providing any kind of timeframe. Yet, when I view VBA’s metrics, it looks like the average time for a direct review decision is still 246 days. I’ve contacted VBA twice, once no explanation was provided the second time VBA didn’t even return my call. All this and the news from VA is always just showing leadership patting themselves on the back and telling everyone how great VA is doing with everything.

Completely useless.. I’ve been out since 2017, I just found out about the VA app, today (1 Jul 2023). I downloaded it immediately after hearing about it. I was completely not-shocked that when I opened it up and went to sign in, there was an error that said there was no connection to the servers. I clicked on the “find a VA location” bottom and there was no connection there either. Either the VA servers crashed, or the app is complete trash. How there are so many high ratings are beyond me. All the VA does is let me down and push meds. Waste of taxpayers dollars. Privatize the VA already, the government ruins everything it touches.

VA Claim. The process is very precise and well articulated. The referrals with private recorders and schedulers are highly efficient. Information disseminated as to relationships and protocols among parties appointed and involved enhances highly coordinated actions also highly instrumental to the claimant veteran being able to follow the procedures with clarity. Robust data provided by VA and third parties on line are truly appreciated. The VA mails received by claimant are exceptional supplements to understanding the procedural thought process. I commend your flawless methodology.

Navigation. It seems difficult to navigate to the information I am trying to seek. Also, much of the information is very general. I am a big fan of the VA and I have been treated very well. More time and money should be spent to bring sites like these into the 21st Century. I state this because near all of the areas state to call if more information is needed. Everything should be at my finger tips. This would allow the fine people on staff to devote more time at the VA Hospitals and clinics.

Whoever made this app, give them a raise!. This app is amazing. Not at all what I expected from the VA. Instead of logging in via computer I can do everything from the apps from claims, to pharmacy, to personal messages to and from my doctor. I mean this without sarcasm, but finally, you can see the system is attempting to work for vets and is doing a great job at it.

Good Start But…. UPDATE QUESTION: Any update on adding prescription information and ability to reorder prescriptions via this app? I appreciate the VA coming out with an app like this and it is a good start. However I have a request. It would be nice when I get to my health information that I would also have a link or a tab where I could check my prescriptions and refill prescription without having to be directed to the website to log into my healthevet and do it from there. It would just streamline the process really nice. Please consider and thank you!

Confidence. I am 100% disabled. After diligent difficulty proving that the evidence provided was within the mental and physical regulation of 100% rating level had had been met. My total care has been provided by the VA, before, during and after the service-connected, line of duty Jeep accident (1976). I hate to think what would have happened to me without the VA support.

Is anyone else missing the "claims" link in their app?. I go to check the status of my claim today and notice that the icon that directs me to my claims status page isn't there anymore. It tells me what my percentage is and how it breaks down but nothing about pending claims or appeals. Is it just me or will we not be able to access that information via this app anymore? It's a feature I used specifically because it was convenient, not to mention faster, than using a pc. How about putting our c-files online so we can access those as well? It would save an astronomical amount of time as well as material such as cd's, paper and all that logistical stuff that takes place when a Veteran requests their file. Just a thought. Hopefully this isn't a permanent thing. We need a "one stop does all" portal to use and it would be nice to have them in sync with each other. It would also be nice to remove all these third party apps that keep Veterans information on servers with poor security protocols. Lol this started as a question and turned into a rant. Hard not to do when talking about the bureaucracy that is the Veterans Benefits Administration.

Review new sign in. Tried a number of times without sucess to use new. Now forced to Or to go through all kinds of gyrations trying to get logged into anything that would give me my healthy vet and found a little success except for the last minute was able to send a secure message to my doctor about emergency condition don’t appreciate the program as it is it it causes much confusion and makes things extremely difficult for us to keep our heads above water with the system please adjust. If I weren’t feeling so bad right now I’d have a lot more to tell you but you need to look into the difficulty of this thing particular for for us old guys.

Useful but lacking. The app is very helpful in being able to quickly look at your claim status and any upcoming appointments. However, it is severely lacking in showing some of the same important information that is available on the website, such as any documents being requested from you, to be submitted by a deadline. Many Vets may not check the website on a regular basis, if they are solely using the app to check their claim status. Also, with the horrendous pace of snail mail notifications from the VA, having that info available within the app, becomes doubly important to be able see it in a timely manner. Also, it would be of great help if there were notifications, or if a badge icon would appear, to show that there is an update/change to a claim in progress, instead of the incessant checking most vets will do in the app, or web page on a daily basis.

Great service but still a lot of work to do. 1) Horrible connectivity issues. The CYA boilerplate that Safari and Macs are not fully supported is unacceptable in 2022. 2) Looks like they used the Army M1A1 approach in building this app. They crammed everything into one space, making it ok at most things but not great at anything, while also leaving out features that all of the users want but that the contracting manager failed to include in the Statement of Work. I’d love to know what user testing looked like during development, because it looks like it was built to satisfy the VA’s needs and not the customers’. 3) More to add, will edit this later.

Getting my needs met!. For years I have struggled with the VA to get all of my needs met and (although it’s only slight) I have noticed a change since I have been able to access my documents and message my provider. Don’t get me wrong, I still have to fight to get my needs met but at least now I have a vehicle to fight with. I mean it’s progress, ya know? Okay this app is really unreliable! I keep missing important appointments because it’s too glitchy and I don’t have a very good memory to be able to access my appointments by myself. I am so sick of this crap! In fact I used to get text messages too but I guess that’s not happening either.

PLEASE UPDATE THIS. This app is handy, but man- it lacks a lot of info and options. If all its gonna do is web redirects, why not show all the same info that's on the website? Secure messaging needs work- cannot access many contacts to send msgs. Also, why have a setting to adjust notification alerts on your phone that you can't actually do anything with? It's a great effort, but honestly, this app is way behind technology available in most current apps today. PLEASE UPDATE THIS...

My Personal Evaluation. I am very pleased with this app. The information is thorough and to the point. Everything pertaining to my service record information is there for me to review at a click. Everything is explained well and the format is very user friendly. I am enjoying going over and over every little detail listed. Very proud to be a Veteran and to have a country that takes pride in our wellbeing. Thanks

PRETTY GOOD JOB. I cannot give this app 5 stars because it still isn’t what it can be. For instance, if someone served in multiple branches of service (i.e. Marines, Air Force), they don’t have the option of which branch logo would be represented on their profile. I have emailed around to find out how one changes this and was told that they didn’t know what I was talking about. Then there is the fact that they don’t accept foreign numbers. What about those of us that reside and/or work overseas? We cannot enter a true number. This becomes a problem when you need to have 2 factor verification. Then you have to download another app in order to do this. Finally, you should be able to download a copy of your records from here as well. Not only your VA records, but you should be able to get a complete copy of your Military Medical Records, as well, without having to send something through snail mail. This is very inconvenient, especially if you reside overseas.

Awesome. As much flack the VA gets for there website being always down and slow I will say This app is a major step towards the right direction I can access all the important information from here with out logging into the website. You still need the website to do a bunch of other things but this right here is greatly appreciated. I hope the VA keeps doing good

1970’s Veteran Disability claim service in Thailand and Korea, during the height of Agent Orange.. Having every Disablity effect that is listed for Agent Orange exposure including a heart attack with a triple bypass , diabetes , erectile dysfunctionancy , just to list a few life changing affects that forced the retirement due to exposure in the 70’s of Agent Orange and who knows what else after getting a draft notice. All documentation is there and provided. Yet l it’s been a year and three months with a few Generic notes which I conclude are considered communication. Yet projected to be a year and seven months before the first lower ranking is decided , then months of lowball Communication through the VA website negotiations for lack of a better word . This is ridiculous way to support the front line protectors of the United States and her citizens. If the VA waits long enough the Vets requesting disability ranking and payment will be dead before decision is made.

Thank You! Please add prescriptions. While I don’t have any claims to track, just having the ability to check appointment schedules and send messages without having to use the cumbersome and antiquated myHealthyVet website is a game changer! Secure logins with TouchID… it’s a whole new world! I look forward to this app continuing to add the more useful services. Prescription refills would be nice to have inside of this app! Keep it clean and fast, don’t include so much it gets cumbersome to use.

Worse regional VA service.. I will say without a doubt Houston area is the worst VA system I have ever had to deal with. I have dealt with the VA California Minnesota South Dakota Florida and a couple other states I can’t remember. It amazes me how this VA forgets about their patients. Does not abide by the rules that are set up to protect the veterans. They don’t call you back within 72 hours. They don’t prescribe you medication like they say they’re going to. They cancel appointments don’t let you know that they’re doing that and never reschedule you. They don’t keep up on refills for your medication. That’s all I got to say about this there’s more but I don’t need to put it all out there!!!!

Review. Excellent. The VA treats me terrific. I call and I am always treated with kindness and professionalism. My pharmaceuticals are always sent to me on time and are never in error. I really like the fact that I can go online and order my meds. Making an appointment to see my provider is so easy. The nurses are extremely helpful and unbelievably kind. My wife has private insurance and has to jump thru so many hoops. I am exceedingly pleased with the VA.

App needs tons of work. Not used friendly, too many redirects to get in, secure messaging is terrible, and the web version needs a lot of work which I’m sure you know. Tell less information and needs more information accessibility rather to make it look like a game. With the budget you would think you could hire some better programmers. I’ll wait a year or so before really using, if I do, because the desktop version gives more detailed options and you need a lot of work. I suggest hiring, onboard, or contract out across the spectrum of age and gender, (veteran and non alike) to continue to implement these new changes. Short version, the app is terrible and needs a lot of work. Keep trying you’ll get it.

Convenient But Not Private. I love the convenience of the app for many things but I limited and somewhat censored my communications with my doctor once I learned that other people I work with through other programs in the the VA were privy to and reading them. These people are not health professionals and should not have any access to private conversations regarding my health that I was under the impression we’re protected. It was extremely weird to find out and I immediately decided to wait until appointments to discuss things. It’s unfortunate because it’s a mental health professional and we had a great rapport. Not only that but apparently an assistant type of employee reads them before the doctor does as well, and they go into your medical records. This may be fine and even customary, but not something I’m comfortable with.

Awesome job. Everyday is such a struggle for my family and myself, but this app takes a lot of stress, worry, and feelings of loss and confusion at bay. I, myself, am so appreciative that I can not only access my records, but speak with ANYONE I need to speak with to get the help I need. I can see my test results and X-rays without having to just wait and except what the doctor says, as well as get any letters I need for whatever reason. I can’t tell you how grateful I am (as a 100% disabled veteran) for whoever developed this app giving us, the veteran, as well as our family more access to our healthcare. This app plays a huge role (I believe) in our being able to calm down and take an active role in keeping ourselves vibrate and healthy as much as is possible. To say thank you seems so contrite, yet sadly I have no other words to give. So thank you from the depths of my heart. It really means so very much to us all.

🤪. The change is too drastic and the appointment information is in jargon not in an understanding for veterans. The change was not done in an orderly manner as a result I missed a really important appointment because I didn’t receive any response until after the appointment and it wasn’t on the schedule and the social worker who I had the appointment with was a lax poor excuse of a person and didn’t even reach out to me so my PTSD has been unnecessarily triggered because I am relocating and I need assistance so now I’m getting anxious 😥 SMH 🤦🏽‍♀️ I guess in the end we will get accustomed to it just before it’s changed again. VA ACE = veterans administration always changing everything but all in all…I love 💕 my va

Not for IPhones. Both apps for VA Health and Refills are useless on iPhones. First, after enduring all the redirects you come to the page where you sign in. Once you sign in, you often get an error saying no internet connection. Which is untrue as you test your signal and it’s strong. I went with the apps because the browser website failed to work 90% of the time. I sure hope they fix these issues soon, as I’d like to check my appointments, message my doctor, and refill my medications. As of today, I have to deal with long waits on the phone as well as call backs. I would think that having a good operating system would be paramount to the VA. Not having a reliable system sure waste a lot of peoples time. Mine and the VA.

Use the VA app-it’s easy!. I am a 74 year old disabled vet, and I use the VA app several times a week. It notifies me when I have a message from my Primary Care Team. It also keeps track of upcoming appointments, and allows me to reorder prescriptions. I can also see test results. I even use the app to check in when I arrive for an appointment. I used to spend a fair amount of time calling the VA toll free number to do those things, but now I do most of those things on the app. It works, and it’s easy! Doug C Portland Oregon

Love this new app!!. The VA hit the nail on the head with this app. I can’t stress enough how useful it is. I can message my healthcare provider, check appointments, get official letters, view my claims, and check payments. There’s more I didn’t list but these are the features I use most frequently. It used to be that I had to go on the computer and navigate to different areas of the VA site which at the time were unintuitive, it’s sooo much easier now. Thank you for this!!!

Sooooo much easier to navigate!!!. Seriously, the website is trash & daunting to use, but this app completely removes all the unnecessary hassle of the webpage & completely streamlines the process (especially the secure messaging function with your respective healthcare provider OR an administrator to refer you to the correct personnel depending on your needs!) 10 out of 10!🏆

Exceptional resource for Vets. After setting this app up and using I have come to realize how useful this app can be. Used to call in and I could never seem to find the time to call in. Finally with this resource calling in is optional and getting my info, letters, claim status and much more is within a simple password exchange of getting into an app that gives me all the information in regards to my benefits!!! Thank you!!!

Need more details. I think the most challenging thing behind this app is Veterans wants to know where their claim is in the process. This app only shows five stages of where the claim could be. There are also no details of what is actually the progress. I know it’s hard to guess when things will be accomplished but if you could see more progress throughout the app, I think it would be less frustrating. Sometimes it will sit in the same stage for months, and in some cases years. Obviously things are going through a process over that time, but the veteran does not see that only that it is in a stage or an extremely long period of time. A more detailed explanation of the stage process at the claim is going to would be extremely helpful.

Unique & Accessible. You’ll always know when you need to “update” because you’ll have trouble logging in. (2) I do wish there were a downloading document “SF256” for “Schedule A” hiring authority. This is a very important document that can be googled but can also be difficult to find without informative OPM office support. PLEASE consider ADDing “SF256” FALLIBLE .pdf and “SF-15” for veterans seeking federal career opportunities. I don’t know what section it would be a part of or maybe a new section for federal employment info. Something simple. Short but sweet. Maybe even “Non-competitive” brochure info?

Best Medical Care Anywhere!. I have been a Navy brat, an Army PCS (medic), and now a Veterans Administration recipient for my healthcare needs. The navy corpsman were always cool to talk to and knew their stuff. As a medic it was my turn to give back or “pay it forward” as my favorite movie puts it. Today the people at Mather Hospital are seeing to all my healthcare needs and doing a superb job, shout out and kudos to everyone at Mather AFB VA Hospital. You have done superlative work during the current pandemic.

Surprisingly better than I thought. Well, I must admit, the VA has came along way since I got out of the military many years ago. I used to hate having to do anything VA related because of the service being so poor and slow. I expected this app to be the same. Luckily I was wrong and this app helps quite a bit. Sure, people can get on here and say what could be better, but they are probably brand new and don’t know what the VA used to be like haha. Good work VA, keep improving! It’s noticed!

Omg. This has to be the easiest way to get things I need. I’m not sure what other people are experiencing but ever since I was discharged from the army I have been taking care of for the first time in 15 and a half years. Vets know the military could and would never

App Improvements. I have used the VA App since it’s initial offering on the App Store. I have been thoroughly impressed with the improvements that have been made across the app in 2023, thus far. Having the ability to refill prescriptions and now able to see decision letters, make the app even more inclusive. Thank you for taking care of us, Veterans!

Info for us. It is very nice to be able to see some of the information we have available to us and about us without having to make calls. I have found many things I would have liked to know 30 years ago! I guess I just never found the right person to talk with until recently.

So easy to use. I’m on MyhealtheVet 3 or 4 times a week and this app is a game changer for me! Easy to navigate, I can get to what I need without having to search page after page. My appointments are more detailed than the weekly reminders I receive and checking my claim status is a snap! I’m very excited about this app!!

First Class Service and Support. In the past six months I have received nothing but warm welcomes, first class services, high quality medical attention and support with issues at the Norristown Vet Center, West Norriton VA Clinic, Coatesville VA Medical Center, Victor J. Saracini Community Based Outpatient Clinic and Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center. At times the process and scheduling can be challenging. However, each individual that I encountered went out of their way to make certain that my needs were fully met. A smile and act of kindness go a long way. I am forever grateful to each of the staff members assisted me along the way. Well done VA Team. H. J. Gaffney

Disabled Vet. The VA need to allow access to letters being sent out. Also, seeing that the VA has so many entities when you update in the app it should update all entities. I miss so many letter due to a diffent entities are not getting the update causing you to have bills go into collections & you never know until it's getting garnished years later & you would have taken care of it years ago. Bad flaw VA

Mobile app. I am very happy with this new mobile app application it’s so so much easier and easy access I haven’t tried it yet but I’m assuming I could make appointments and cancel appointments and even do travel vouchers on this so thanks whoever worked out this new system

Like the app more than the desktop, which has some browser compatibility problems.. The app is easy to use and navigate around easily updates my calendar, and has an overall cleaner look and feel. Definitely plan on using the app as my default portal to the VA going forward.

So Far, So Good. Was able to verify quickly & simply. View, modify, download, email & print the service letters I needed very easily. I’m quite impressed & grateful. Did this all on my phone in less than the time it took to get through the pharmacy line 👍🏿👍🏿 Thank you 🙏🏿 🙏🏿

Apple PDF/Windows & outlook. I am dispersed, unable to get to a real computer. I have an iPad but it’s very sad when you can’t get windows to be compatible with Apple’s really secure hacking system and Windows can be hacked. I can’t get a PDF file from the military because they’re not compatible using windows. This is very frustrating because they want the PD file and I can’t even download it from the server off of my iPhone or my iPad to say to be highly prioritize and be compatible with Apple

The App is great. The App is a great step forward in the right direction and makes a whole bunch of VA things much easier to accomplish. Especially improved is communicating with my healthcare team and managing prescriptions. The App was easy to setup and login to. Easy to navigate. An excellent app in my opinion.

Updates. Receive push notifications that there is an “update fromVA” then log in and there is nothing. This has happened 7 times since I’ve downloaded the app. I did get married and added my wife and step children, with all pertinent information required and have expected that to be the update, yet there is nothing showing for any kind of update or notification when I log in. What gives?

Wow!. I honestly wish I new about this app months if not years ago! All basics of what I would need in the app and the ability to change basic info life address and phone number. Wow! Beyond pleased. Saves me time from calling or logging in on a laptop or waiting for a letter in the mail. Again, basic info and letters.

Quicker Access. I have tried countless times to get online through my laptop and I always end up with an error message especially during the week. However, I just loaded this app and it immediately took me exactly where I needed to go. It worked wonderfully. Going forward, I’ll be using this VA myhealthyvet app access! Betty D.

Best App ever. With this application that the United States Veterans Affairs has created, it allows the end-user almost seamless access to their rating, letters, claim status, and many more.I wish they had this five years ago. But better late than never. I am truly thankful and grateful for the VA. Family first, mission always. God bless America.

Benefits. This is a useless section of the app because the VBA personnel do not use it to update the status of the claims. No time frames are given, and if you call the 800 number all they give you is the same canned response. Total lack of accountability and responsibility. If when you use the system as you’ve been told to do, it doesn’t matter because the VBA doesn’t care about veterans. The VHA is the better half, especially if you live in a rural area and can use Community Care.

Good information. I check daily on claims and appeal. It’s good to se the updates on improving the site. Very good to get to read the letters of decision before they are mailed. Can be read the same day that decision is made. I also like the appointments info and letters of military info that are sometimes needed. Definitely a five star.

I am impressed. I have used the web-based system for a few years. This app was easy to setup and worked flawlessly to check my appointments and send a message to my primary care provider. Efficient and easy to navigate app. So convenient to just grab phone and take care of business. Thanks!

VA. Care And Treatments. I can’t say enough about all of the things, that VA has done for me . From staffing to treatments , a first class operation. RXs sent in a timely manner, also some of the top quality Doctors in our area .. As a Vietnam veteran with service connected disabilities, they have always been there for me! Thanks to all that served ! JBC. Airborne 173rd Vet 66/69

VA App Sign Out. I am totally satisfied with the revisions in this app. My only recommendation would be making the SIGN OUT button easier to find. I logged in today to answer a secure message and had to go thru every page within the app to find the SIGN OUT button when I finished. Just doesn’t make sense in its current location.

It’s not bad, but always strive for better. The things to be better would be if you didn’t see canceled appointments on your active appointments list. They make appointments so fast and then you say the date doesn’t work they cancel them and it stays on the schedule until the date passes. That is my biggest issue as I have more cancellation appointments than good ones

Does not work. I am using version 1.13.0. with Apple iPhone 11 and iOS 15.3. Some of the app works and other part don’t. I have called the help desk but no help there. They keep saying it will be corrected soon. I am unable to pull up my appointments, any military records, nor messages. It would be great and helpful to Vets if it only worked.

VA in Sanford. The lack of actual services is very limited. There are no actual doctors available in Sanford. Although lab services are available any time it is necessary to actually see a doctor the veteran has to drive to Fayetteville. The veterans use the VA and many are on a limited budget and with the high cost of gasoline this becomes a financial burden. May veterans are not covered for transportation to the Fayetteville clinic because of their not disabled enough to qualify, and advanced age is not covered for transportation

5Stars So far so good. I downloaded this app on Sep 2022, It's a really great tool for us veterans to manage and view our claims, documents, payment history etc. And I want to shout out to the VA too, they were always offering me the biggest help and assists when I really need them. Overall this app is a Must-have for us veterans.

App. This is is nothing new. No ability to refill prescriptions. Just basic info. Doesn’t really help. Would rather go to the actual website because you get the info you need there. I also agree that the VA is doing their best to help vets. But sometimes the doctors and help are short handed and we are contracted out. I wish more doctors would work for the VA. Maybe you shud incentivize them more. I don’t know. VA is awesome. But still needs improvements

Works good but login is inconsistent. Had trouble logging in and once I did kept getting error stating app wasn’t working. That was when I logged in with MyHealthvet. I then logged out and logged in using ID me and now the app is working great. Would like to see VA RX refill app consolidated with this. Then it would be worthy of a five star rating for me. Also, would like to see VHA travel claims added to this, now that would really nice because the BTSSS can be iffy logging in and using at times. Might also add advance directives in case needed in an urgent situation and they can’t always be obtained quickly by non va hospitals,

Amazing!. It actually works the way its supposed to work. I could not find any bugs and I went through every tab and link I could think of and no issues! Its not slow or anything. I work in IT and I cant think of any suggestions!

When you need communication, this is the way to go.. It is often difficult communicating with healthcare professionals for various reasons. However, with the messaging system, it lets me get my needs directly in the hands of the professionals I am familiar with.

So easy!. Because of the nature of my job, I no longer enjoy talking on the phone. I love this as an option! The only thing I can think of that would be better is if you added a way to request and track travel pay. 👍😉😁🙏

Supporting Families. The MyHealthVet software allows my husband and I a convenient and accurate way to notify our daughters of all tests and results. Our oldest daughter is a physician in another state and has appreciated the access to her father’s medical records without us trying to translate everything. Thank you!

Credit is due. I am very impressed with this VA app. Kudos to those who created this app. I used it to check my disability rating after submitting a VA disability claim, to send and receive messages, check my prescriptions, check my appointments and many other functions. Bravo Zulu

FINALLY!!!!. I signed into this app with my DS login and so far it works amazingly! Whomever designed it did a great job so far. Just downloaded it and all the features work great. The ability to make appointments, and add them to my phones calendar is amazing. Not to mention I can message my provider too. Great job so far with this product VA!!

Deleting. I have tried numerous times to delete messages and it won’t delete. It’s causing frustration an anxiety due to the nature of having to delete an not ‘see’ this doctor name, because of the recent incident. None of the messages won’t delete. I’m also wondering if she can be blocked. I highlight the messages and hit ‘move’ then delete. However the message is still there.

Human User Interface. If you have not done so, you need to use an 80 year old and a 25 year old who are not computer savvy to use your apps and then see their reactions. You should also consider that some of the Veterans most affected by PTSD do not have access to the internet or smart phones. Given the VA’s apparent reputation, I have both victorious and failure stories, you need to offer more in terms of cyber interactions. And please do not use Holiday Inn wonders, vis-à-vis “certified professionals”, to fix the issues… use experienced professionals like UX developers.

Works. Great updates. Everything I need as a Veteran on a daily base access is easily accessible with this app. The best part is that it actually works without any issues. The VA as a government department has improved so much within the last couple of years.

Huge improvements. I am dumbfounded. This is a huge improvement. I thank you whole heartedly for a really great improvement to finding information on my VA claims and all of the other items. Good job, no great job and I thank you. One question how do I find out the status on my VR&E request?

Excellent Service. I have been retired from the Army for over 10 years and I have had nothing but positive experiences with the VA. Every person from the reception center to the doctors have been remarkably helpful and professional. This app is an awesome and helps so much since I am over an hour away from the VA Health Center where I receive treatment.

Compliment. Was wondering how to communicate a thank you for being provided a successful product that really works following years of changing brands that only partially worked. Great avenue. Sure hope it gets to the person responsible for obtaining this brand from Nationwide Pharmaceutical. Thanks!!

Awesomeness. To think of the many outdated programs used by the government, this app has been by far the BEST thing the VA could have created for veterans. Whatever team decided to come up with this app, in addition to the programming team that designed it needs more than a raise, praise and accolades!! I make it my duty to recommend this app to EVERY vet that I know!! Thank you!!

I was doubtful at first. I love how this app logs in without having to go through the ID verification of the website. It is so much easier to reach out and leave your doctor messages. Plus, it is used for medical, disability and payments all in one place. Huge fan.

Saves Time!!. It’s been years since I’ve reviewed and app and I have to say, this is what I needed in my life right now! It saves the 10min (exaggeration) login process on the website. It’s so easy to use and it allows me to not have to call and get reminded when and what time my next appointments are. 6 STAR! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Sorry sorry sorry app. You have to be joking with this app. It is the stupidest app to try and use. You can’t easy info at all. Not user friendly neither. Rework so you can find info easily don’t have time sit her hour to find what I need. Write a friendly app for goodness sake. Is that too much to ask.

Add pay information. The app is good and if you could access you payment information that would complete the picture and the app would be GREAT! By payments I mean the function that shows upcoming and retro payments being processed. That is EXTREMELY beneficial and makes Veterans aware of their VA payment projections. Veterans love that feature.

Great app with the new updates. Simple to set up and use on the iPhone. Most VA websites are confusing and you have to navigate multiple sites and complicated login processes to find what you need. The app makes it simple with a clean, easy to use interface. Everything I need in one handy place. Awesome!

App tech issues. Every single time you launch a so-called improvement, you create issues with logging into the app!!! This is garbage especially when people have been using this app for years! I’ve been using the app since 2017 or 2018! I’m beyond tired of this happening every single time! You send me into crisis mode! It’s very triggering when technology doesn’t work as it should, especially when people no longer like to interface with people in person or over the phone! Your phone tech support is not very supportive at all.

Great app. This app is great for all the essentials. Like letters, checking status, sending messages, keeping track of your appointments. I tried logging in to my healthevet, so I can send messages. It would keep asking me to log in. This app is easy to use I can even upload all my medical evidence. All Vets need this app.

Veteran Lifesaver. I love how easy you can get into the app, and found all the information that a veteran needs for health appointments, checking on you appeal or just keeping up with the status of your disability status, wish they had away to get to forms that you need for your claim or travel reimbursement.

Too many passwords, authentications, etc. How about one user name and password for life, or fingerprint login on mobile devices? Every time I use this system it takes five hours to log on, figure out which portal to log onto, change my password, get a text, answer authentication questions. It’s harder than the launch codes. Make it easier.

VA Support to Vets - Applaudable Via the App. I’m a vet with health issues, but none of them labeled disabling. These issues are under the VA’s care. The care I’ve received over the last nearly two years has been awesome! One comment about the VA and it being a government agency is you should sometimes expect a wait for non-critical service/care.

VA App. With eBenefits going away, would be nice to see more details transferred from there, and/or easily accessible in one place verses split between App and the main VA Website. Would also be a huge benefit to have access (all in one place) a segmented view of “some” of the myhealthevet info, e.g., appts, meds, a quick-link of phone numbers associated to that individuals PCM, CBOC, VA Hospital they are tied - along with their VA card for ID purposes. Safeguard it - But use the technology! Stop issuing if you can - place on your hand-held for free. Good start, applaud the efforts to making things easily accessible! In light of our ever-aging elderly veterans, I have mentioned much of this for “their” User Experience/Friendliness!
