Good experience. A lot of things stand out. One why are loading screen times fresh off a ps2? Same animations since 18, seems like NBA LIVE graphics. There’s no option to see the play on the screen. Career is a combo of 18 and 19 with off days and press conferences taken out that helped the player and earn money. Driving dunks are broken, You either lose the ball or a get a given and 1. The game is smooth, looks really nice and performs well, I’m just confused on the clustering of previous game sandwiched into one. This game has potential, but only time will tell if the devs care enough to keep updating

You NEED a controller to play. Trying to play this game without a controller is about as frustrating as tying your shoes with mittens on. Don’t get me wrong, this game has pretty good graphics and the overall basis of the game is solid. However, the action buttons (shoot/block/steal/rebound etc.) hardly work when my thumb is on the left joystick or the movement button. It’s almost as if I have to put my player in the perfect position, release the left thumb stick, and then use which ever action I intended on using. I do not have a controller designated specifically for mobile games and I do not intend on buying one. I expect mobile games to be playable with the least amount of accessories, meaning I should be able to play this game with only my phone. If you do have a controller, it’s probably a 5 star game.

Would like to see improvement in atmosphere & season play. While the graphics and gameplay have seemingly improved from NBA 2k20 iOS (more player animations, more realistic CPU shot percentage and selection), the game atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Sideline benches are empty except for the coaches, mascot video files are apparently missing (with balls and swag guns seemingly controlled by an invisible entity) and there is no in-game commentary at all, only PA announcers, player and crowd noise. Furthermore, there is no ability to play seasons with one team and see player averages, which is probably a let-down for anyone statistically-inclined. Overall, the game is playable and would probably satisfy anyone seeking superb CPU simulation and graphics, but since I also enjoy a good atmosphere and analyzing numbers, I actually prefer NBA 2k20 over 2k21.

Would love this game but one thing. I play this game a lot and thoroughly enjoy it. However there’s way too much of this game especially in the myCareer mode that is covered in cutscenes. This would be fine if you could tap through them but you cant. You have to wait through 30 seconds of cutscenes after every half and every timeout and sadly this happens a lot. Most of the 4th quarter if it’s a close game is just waiting for the timeout animations to be over. It would be so much better if there was a way to just tap through it but sadly the game doesn’t have this capability and I’m hoping you guys add it. I know you must’ve spent a lot of time and money on that cheerleader animation but man I just want to play the game. It adds at least 5 minutes onto the time of each game and it’s extremely frustrating

Controls and features. Hi 2K, I am not sure on what devices testing is done on but I have an iPhone XS Max and I find the controls to be laggy and not very smooth. 2k20 was better. A big issue for me is MyCareer! Also could we please fix the teammate grade scoring system in MyCareer? A bad shot should not be a layup or an open shot that you missed because you mistimed it. Also the Stamina for the MyCareer player still needs a lot of work. Why can’t we upgrade our stamina separately. A lot of guys in the NBA have great stamina even if they don’t have the skills. The cost to level up attributes needs to be less since there is mo micro-transactions. What happened to team practices and endorsements? That should be a thing. Lastly, we NEED practice mode for the individual MyCareer player so we can get used to the controls and the animations selects.

Just one HUGE problem. The game it’s simply awesome and so complete. With plenty of game modes, where you have fun eternally. BUT… when I play career mode, and I’m in an important game(could be even a playoff game or a final) and I’m winning, mvp of the game, scored many triples (+20p) and all is wonderful. I don’t know whyyy it suddenly glitches and takes me out of the app. Meaning that my mvp game is totally gone. This issue has happened to me more than 5 times, and I swear that sometimes I wanna kill myself after this. So please, 2K fix that, just that, everything else is dope.

MyCareer needs some tweaks. The game is so polished for a mobile game and I am amazed with how well it mimics the console versions. Although modes are limited it's very fun for a game on the go I like playing MyCareer. However, there are some things that are very very annoying that make it hard to progress. I would like for the devs to add stamina regeneration during timeouts because you gas very quickly in MyCareer. Also, if your build doesn't include the red pie, good luck trying to grab a board that directly goes towards you. My player will literally fumble a rebound because it's a playmaking slasher and has 30 ovr rebounding that can't improve. You could either make it so every build has at least a 50 ovr you can max to with height and position being able to affect it.

Great game with some new game issues. I’ll give it four stars (4.5 would be more accurate) because it’s great even on a phone. There are a few issues. There is an occasional bug involved with inbound plays where the screen remains fixed on a spot on the floor even after the ref starts play. There are a few other bugs but, it’s new. One issue is not being able to skip through stoppages. Screen view will show blank spots on the floor and the tops of jumbotrons for extended periods and you’ve got to just sit and watch. The game desperately needs a practice court mode. The controls are intricate enough that it makes learning how to play on the fly really tough. A way to practice with just a basket and a few passing targets would help to immensely.

Great but missing a lot. Where is normal season mode? Announcers? Also, navigation during time outs and other menu selection is broken while using a controller. Touch input is stopped for selection when a controller is connected. Have to wait full time limit of a time out because I can’t select submit. Similar issue in the create a character interface, no way to submit when making the player if a controller is connected. Otherwise the game looks and plays great. Update: take back plays great. Think I may go back to 2K20 with worse graphics. What is up with the timing for shooting with a controller? Everything says timing late. Even if you press and release the button immediately. It’s just so sluggish. I want to love this game. But it’s almost infuriating to play. Can’t pass to anyone inside. Just can’t get into any kind of flow like the previous games. Game play is a major regression.

Unfinished and not tested. It seems like it could be great but I can’t make any shots and the controls just don’t work sometimes I wonder if I’m even controlling the characters bc they do stuff I don’t make them do and I just think this was not ready and was made in like 2 hours bc it seems like there is no effort put in to this game and I have heard that these games are great but this is my first 2K game I’ve played and I did not enjoy and I don’t think someone tested and said “hmm why my character do that oh and I can’t make any shots…….. I LOVE IT LETS PUT IT ONLINE” just pls fix it I know you can do it and make this game great!😁 I’m not mad just disappointed (yes I did just pull the mom disappointed Card on you)

Incredible game ... but. The graphics for this game are sick but the lack of customization options and game play options are bringing down the rating for me. I still play NBA 2K 20 on my iPhone because of the game play options and the customization options. Can we get a 2K21 option that is all that 2K20 has but with better graphics and updated roster? I would love to pick a team and play an entire season with playoffs, All Star weekend, and Finals. The quick game option is cool but it’s not enough!!! What you have know is a descent start but definitely not ready for prime time. I subscribed to Apple Arcade just because of the game release but now I thinking of canceling it, that is unless there is a major upgrade coming. I know it won’t be like the console version and I’m not asking for that, but come on, you can’t pass this off as a finished product when so much is missing.

Great, but needs some work. Way better than last year, though there are some problems. Very slow progression, with no way to buy vc this is quite noticeable. The stamina system needs to be improved by quite a bit, I am usually depleted fully by halftime each game. Perhaps the most annoying thing, if you score 5 or more points in the 1st quarter, you’ll be hip rode the rest of the game with little to no way to get open, making it feel like every player plays like a defensive player of the year. Those are the things I believe need improvement, otherwise it’s a great game by far the best mobile version of 2K we’ve ever had.

reoccurring crash bug on iPad. A bug was missed in development that crashes the app right after some timeouts are called. The crash usually happens late in games, and all progress is lost when you reboot. MyCareer progress is already painfully slow, so when you throw in the fact that more than 50% of your games crash before the final whistle, you’re left with a frustrating, unplayable mode. Please sort this out for affected iPad users. Also, this game really needs some sort of “Association,” or season mode. We’re talking a NBA licensed game that doesn’t allow you to simply choose a NBA team and try to take them to the championship. And the on-court basketball simulation is really good. But you’ve got zero control over team strategy, play-calling, defensive sets, double-teams, etc….. Of course, this is a mobile game. And I wouldn’t expect anywhere near the level of depth you see on console. But you’ve got to have some level of control over basic strategy. So as good as the basketball and graphics are, the problems and lack of depth result in this not being a very good video game. I hope that will change at some point.

It’s ok. The game is an improvement from the last games in a lot of ways mostly the graphics. But when I play mycareer the ai will literally refuse to give me the ball no matter how many times I call for it. It’s called mycareer but it feels like I’m a side character it doesn’t matter how open I am in the paint they don’t give me the ball. And when you start as I literally useless 60 that can’t even count to 10 on their fingers you need all the points you can get. I’m 6’9” on my big man and I can’t grab a rebound to save my life it’s so bad I literally might get cut from the team. And on top of that teammates that are like 6ft talk would rather take a smother layup vs a 7ft center than give you the ball when your wide open. It’s pretty stupid I shouldn’t need teammate chemistry for them to pass me the ball when I’m wide open.

Fun but a downgrade from 2K20 mobile. I was excited to get this app because I wanted to play with the updated teams but when I did get it I saw a lot of things that I thought needed improvement. Before the shooting bar was very easy to shoot with and on the screen it would say right away if it was a good shot or not and would even give the shot a grade. Now I don’t even see the shooting bar and it is very delayed telling you if it was a good shot or not. Overall the controls aren’t easy to play with. Also the different styles of gameplay are limited. Unlike 2K20 the game doesn’t have Association or story mode. I don’t like that they left out the commentators and the animations looked more realistic in 2K20. I was also surprised how late in the season the mobile game came out considering the real game came out in September.

Won’t save!. This game is easily the best 2k Mobile game ever as far as gameplay goes, but it won’t save. The first thing I did when I first opened the game was link my iCloud to it. I was expecting that to be fine because 2k20 Mobile worked fine with that. However, the first thing I noticed when I opened the game again later was that none of the coins I earned were still there and none of the in-game settings (camera angle, shot meter settings etc.) were the same. I know it doesn’t ultimately affect the gameplay to have to reset these every time, but it’s still annoying. It also makes me hesitant to start a career, because I’m afraid it won’t save. Other than that, the game is impeccable, and I’ll definitely be recommending it to my friends. Just fix the saving issue and you’ve got 5 stars from me!

Finally, A Reason for Apple Arcade!. I’ve bought every NBA 2K since 12, and this is the best so far. The graphics are smoother than 20 and the gameplay is more fluid. Likewise, I’m glad they kept the defensive assist, as I have a terrible time running around my man on D with a virtual stick. Mainly, we have had Apple Arcade since Apple One debuted, but after trying a couple of the games, I gave up on the service, since it was all indie-junk (with the exception of SamuraiJack). Now, there is finally a reason to have Apple Arcade! Hopefully, this signals a shift towards providing quality games in the service. That should result in more subscriptions. NHL 2K next?

Did they test the game?. It baffles me that they make the game so difficult especially with no micro transactions. How did my guy make the NBA if he can’t make an open layup or shot? Do the developers think it’s fun for us to miss every single shot? I don’t get it. So much potential and it’s like they are trying to make it not fun. It’s as if there is no skill involved in shooting....just lucky if the game chooses to give you a break. Ridiculous. Hopefully they fix these issues because it looks great. Oh and do I really need to sit through consecutive time outs? Really? With no replays or anything interesting to look at? Seems unfinished. Did I mention u can’t make a shot? In a basketball game? Dummys. That’s like making a shooting g game but giving u no gun. I highly doubt anybody tested this game and said wow this is so much fun we’re not making any shots ......perfect!

2K. The game is actually pretty good I’ve been playing 2K since 2k11 on console and on mobile I just wish we had a few more options like a practice facility so we can practice on our jump shots and dribbling and also i know it may not happen but if you all add an online mode like on the console like my park that would be hard and there’s no commentary in the game and when we’re playing an online game against a friend I wish we could get the option to turn the fatigue off but other than that it’s a really cool game it gives me 2k20 on the console vibes and one more thing it’s a little pixel when I’m playing online against a friend like the frame is not as good as when you’re playing against the computer other than that the graphics are amazing keep up the good work 2K😎

This game is good but…. I love playing this to pass time, but I needed a practice area, where it’s just me and a hoop, so I can practice my shots and stuff, because you all just threw me in a game expecting me to know what to do, and missing every shot. You have to build your character up because now I am a starter on Golden State and I get a few points during the game, usually end games with a B. I have come across issues where the game froze literally at the end and I had to quit the game and make no money, but other than that it’s a lot of fun and I use a PS4 remote to play on my phone which makes game play easier!

Awesomeness!!. Everything the arcade version brings is nothing but perfect, the fact that we now have blacktop, myCareer and multiplayer from console to mobile is very outstanding and I couldn’t wait to play this ! After playing for a few days I really enjoy everything about, the controls takes some getting use to because I got big fingers and if you have big fingers it may be a little difficult for you as well so if we could adjust the size of the buttons that would be amazing ! Until then I’ll just have to buy a Bluetooth controller but it’s that much worth it honestly. Thank you guys for coming out with this banger :)

2K21 help. Developers this game is amazing but I really think we need new things for my career like custom jumpshots and that’s mostly all for my career that is like the only thing that would make my career more fun and new pie charts cause if I want to make a pure blue center I should have around 12 defenseive badges and we should choose our weight wingspan etc that would make the game amazing and you guys can also add online pvp where u can play with friends and go against friends and please fix the online servers it is so delayed and laggy when you go up against a person, thank u have a good day

Missing a lot but overall fun. On my Mac the graphics are pretty good considering it's a not a dedicated gaming device. With a compatible controller, it's almost like playing on a console. There are a number of probelms that make the game less than stellar. I'm not a fan of in app purchases, but there really needs to be a way to up the VC. 2K is all about the grind, but on here it's amplified because it's really hard to get a decent amount of VC on MC. Also, why can't I save and leave a game like on the console version. I didn't think I'd miss the repetitive commentary, but it's odd to have none at all. If they fix those, they'd definitely have a winner in my book.

Needs to be better. As much as i love to play this game there are some things you guys could add to it and fix. 1. You need to fix the passing options. There’s times where i want to pass the ball to someone who’s open and it’ll throw it across the court to someone else and it’s frustrating to say the least. 2. The defensive assignments get changed every two seconds and i get the penalty for someone i wasn’t even guarding if they make a shot. 3. I think you guys need to implement guidelines for the plays being made like in the actual console game. This would help people who have never played before realize what they should do when playing a position. 4. I think there needs to be team practices every once in a while for maybe badge upgrades but also to help your player get better and actually practice. I understand that this is just a mini game version of the actual game, but i still think these things will help and get a ton of more appreciation for the game.

Unfinished game/waste of time. Not like the other versions of NBA 2k on iPhone in the past. They have gotten rid of Vc’s, career mode doesn’t have a story line, playing multiplayer doesn’t keep track of w’s and l’s. In career mode it’s hard to get a good player and after 20 seasons you automatically retire…. Compared to the other versions since 2019 I’ve be playing it on mobile and I recently had it on PS5 but the difference is sad. This game is pretty much not even finished. The sound track is just instrumental instead of actual up beat songs. I purposely had gotten Apple Arcade just to play 2k but this was a waste.. hope next year for 2k 22 they do a better job.. i don’t know what they were doing with this.. they can keep this game… waste of time…. 2k you guys gotta do better….

Good but frustrating. The gameplay is great, but it’s like there’s still forced animations like blocks for example. Shooting is a bit more difficult to time but the ball handling and other factors for gameplay are wonderful. Wish there was an association mode featured in the game like 2k20 mobile which would be great or maybe bringing back something like playing a mycareer as an actual player again like 2k11 or 12 I believe just to stir it up a bit. I believe the way vc was implemented in the game isn’t good and it’s too much of a grind for mobile players. The system I feel should be implemented like 2k20 mobile where you get large sums of vc everytime you hit a certain overall. Game is enjoyable but 2k barely listens to their audience and has just become money hungry. So I don’t expect things to change much, but it’s good to play once you’ve finished everything you’ve had to do for the day and have some free time. Still the best basketball game out there!

Well.... How can you take a Mobile Basketball Game that has been around since about 2015 make it exclusive to only Apple, strip some of the modes from previous years of improvement and not give the gamers a better version of this game? NBA2KMobile is better and that’s not saying much. I don’t think gaming developers including ones associated with 2K and Take Two care about the actual players. Just like the millennial generation; gaming developers just care about money, likes and shares while disregarding any constructive criticism that affects the game. You know you can do better yet refuse. I have been playing NBA2k since Dreamcast and this game doesn’t even hold water to the first NBA2k. I am Ross B Criss on Twitter and you’ll see I actually play NBA2k. I am a fan of watching and playing basketball, I’m tired of companies monopolizing something and giving the people garbage. If you respected people you would give the gamers something better than this....One Star

Mediocre game with stellar graphics. First things first, graphics and player models are good, with fun animations. On the other hand , the game is very incomplete and underdeveloped. No announcers? You can’t be serious, all you hear is the same repetitious fan noise and player call outs with no variation. The lack of a replay cam takes the fun out of huge dunks. Gameplay is also very underwhelming. Controls are mediocre at best, player models have forced animations that look unnatural. Can’t guard well without being pushed into some imaginary wall, offensive rebounds are automatic put backs and shooting is a Hassle. Unless your completely wide open or getting a green, no shot is going in consistently. Post ups are nonexistent, for example a 7 foot player will not score against a defending point guard unless your giannis or Anthony Davis. Overall the game is only good for a few plays before it becomes a tedious headache.

Definitely on of the best mobile basketball games. Has to be the best basketball game out on mobile. Love the updated rosters and the fact that it gives a console like feel. My only problem are there is no commentary during games, there are not others things to do in my players besides grind and play. No practice or drills. Would love to change uniforms. Would also love a schedule fix for myplayer. Sometimes I would have 4 straight games against a opponent all either at home or away. Finally would love to see replays lol but definitely no complaints really for a new game.

Depression. -New graphics are nice but the game play isn’t as smooth as 2K20 mobile... - It was really nice that in 2K20 we are able to lick our phone, change apps or close out of the game an it would give us the option pick up right where you left off mid game Weather it’s 1st or 4th quarter... but in 2K21 even if you close the app or switch to text a reply an go back we have to automatically start the entire game over an it gets really frustrating since it takes up time.. - There is no market for vc like every single other 2k game in the world ( even other mobile game apps have a market place, even the old version of 2K20 did but not 2K21)

Good but needs work. It’s good that you don’t have the option to buy VC so you have to grind but it’s hard with the controls like a bit unresponsive sometimes and the movement feels slow. The buttons need to be worked on like options to change the size and placement because they are bunched up so sometimes you press the wrong one like honestly the game has a lot of potential but I still going to play in hopes of updates that addresses some of the issues and leveling up is difficult because of the controls like to the point where I want to buy VC because of low Mins and limited touches and I wish I could skip some cutscenes in game like waiting for free throws and time outs

2K21 Review. Bruh the game and graphics is ok but when it comes down to playing it just like any other 2K21 game it’s a whole nother ball game. Your teammates is literally standing there the whole entire time. They always do and run into the same places everytime i run to a certain spot on the court. Whenever I’m trying to execute the paint with my boy Giannis. My teammates come all under me while I’m playin bringing they defense right my way. I hate how I can’t pass the ball exactly to the person I want to on the play. So for example, while on a fast break, I try to pass it to the person already down the court but instead they pass it to someone else or if someone cut to the basket open lane, it pass it to someone else. I hate how when the defense come to double team me most time it’s a center. My center do not cut to the basket at all, he just stand there looking at me get double teamed an wen I go to alley oop. Instead of a dunk, he tap the ball and miss. And I play with karl towns and Giannis together so Ik Karl towns would yam that ball while going against a double team. They need to fix that ASAP for it to be at least ok. I mean the players literally stand there all the time and do the same cuts everytime i move a certain direction. Something needs to be done about that.

Good game, needs improvement!. Good graphics, player ratings and badges. However, the defense is terrible! There’s no help defense, defensive rotation or double team button. Everybody just guards their man with no help, so it’s SOOO easy to get scored on. Also, there should be more offensive plays than just pick and roll. There should be an isolation button, a post up button, a basket cut button and a midrange or 3-pointer play option where the shooter comes off screens. The only way to score is to run pick and rolls. Also, there should be weekly ratings updates so we don’t have to edit the ratings using player rating sites.

Good Game (still room for improvement). Honestly, I didn’t even know this game was even being made for mobile. This game is a massive upgrade compared to all the 2K mobile games from previous years. I would recommend you guys to add in audio commentary so it makes feel more realistic. Without it, games feel repetitive and boring. Another thing that isn’t in the game are replays. I hope legends are introduced into the game and you bring back the All Time teams for the play now mode. Also can you guys update the rosters every month? My last request, which is kind of a nitpick is to add ultra high graphics for the IPHONE SE 2020. Hopefully one day in the future, there could be a MY TEAM or Park mode added for mobile users.

Just fix the glitch for me. Ok first off this is a great version of 2k there are just a few things i would add to it. First i would love it if you could add a commentary to the game i can understand if this is not possible. Second i would love if you could add nicknames and maybe a post conference after the game once again i understand if u cant do the post conference, i think the nicknames wont be a problem. Those are the two things i want you to add now this is why i rated the game 3 stars, there is a glitch where if you walkup slowly to the defender after you get the inbound he will slowly walk backwards leaving you wide open for 3 it does this over and over on any difficulty. I will rate this 5 stars if you just fix the glitch, Thank you

Need Improvement!!!. First off this game lacks in any excitement or any emotion at all, there are no rewards or micro transactions so you're stuck grinding on a 60 ovr who can virtually do nothing and the badge progress is even slower than how you get vc. Second why does it feel as if Hall Of Fame And Pro Difficulty Are Exactly The Same, You're literally just threw into a career with no type of attribution boost or nothing just raw 60 ovr talent! And Isn't this an arcade game why is the currency so hard to come across you cant even play online with your myplayer so whats the point of not being able to access high amounts of currency there also is no takeover meter leading me to think grinding this game has no purpose.

Solid game with amazing potential, but lacking. This game is honestly game changing and mind blowing, and props to the devs for working hard and innovating to bring us this new experience. All my friends and I have been playing non stop. The game is amazing through and through, however it’s missing some elements that are vital and as a collective these are our issues. 1. Bring back practices- it’s was really fun to see how we played by ourselves 2. Save the game progress at it deletes after a period of time 3. Bring back connections 4. Bring some elements from NBA mobile 2k16, Ive done research and a huge chunk of the community really liked some of the elements of the game, so don’t be afraid to copy them 5. Lower fatigue, it’s honestly so hard to do anything with fatigue this low and it kinda ruins the experience and the fun 6. More VC per game or blacktop, we used to be able to get 2,000 in one game, please bring it back Those are pretty much it and I can’t wait to see how this game develops :)

We need some arrangements. The game has stepped up A LOT. BUT it needs some more fixing. For example u shouldn’t be able to make tights or very early or very late threes or mid ranges. You guys need to also fix the shot contest in the game. Sometimes you we be in someone’s face and it will say uncontested. Another thing you need to fix is the STAMINA. IT GOES DOWN WAY TO QUICK when u are versing someone online. The last problem is I feel like there is way to much full bars in this. For example you will be open like 3 times in a row with like steph curry or dame and get a full bar. For my career I feel like if you are making a build you should able to to change some attributes and put it one what you want it on. And that’s pretty much it, after all the game isn’t that bad.

Should be better.. I normally don’t review games but this game has some criminal moments. I get not having every game mode (even though you should and could). But can we at least get a save and quit during the game of my career. If I have to quit in the middle it would be nice to save progress instead of hoping for a 30 minute block of no phone calls or interruptions to complete a game. Also what’s up with the random quitting in career mode. I can be having a great game and then the game quits. Almost makes it unplayable. The controls get stuck at times and you have to hit like three times to make passes some times. The game doesn’t have to be perfect but it should at least be better than this.

just frustrating and v e r y time consuming. After playing more there is NO VC SIM, not even half so it would take 5 full in game season to get to a 93 overall BEFORE badges. The controls are again bad, very bad. I find the defender is glued onto me or if I’m defending my player can’t follow him. They added a defensive assist button but it’s the equivalent of your guy putting his arms up. At least the graphics right? Nope. Jerseys are blurry, crowds are barren, player expression is non existent. The only good thing is the actual court. But hey, at least I can’t buy vc, I just have to put in hundreds of hours instead! This game was made to be monetized, but since it’s on arcade they just removed the buy vc option that’s it. So no balancing what so ever. Better off with any other arcade game on here really, spend your time somewhere else.

Potential. Has potential but overall the game is pretty garbage. Controlling the player is very difficult, and starting off, player stats are so bad that your player doesn’t even seem like an NBA player. I picked a three point shooter and the dude can’t even hit uncontested shots from the perimeter. Then he’s just ice cold and useless. Basically make money and stats by getting assists. Stamina is so garbage my dude can’t even keep up with the game. God forbid my dude has to dribble the basketball because apparently he made it to the NBA without any ball handling skills. My dude probably couldn’t even get around Drake from Degrassi in his wheelchair. My dude also stays getting blocked, can’t switch directions without losing the ball. Annoying game honestly.

This is close as you’re going to get to the console version.. The gameplay is smooth. I like how y’all brought the 2k20 shot meter back with this one. The touch-stick sensitivity isn’t where it needs to be, but that may be a setting I have to tweak. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because you guys didn’t implement the classic/all-time rosters & there’s no coach settings to run plays & set up defenses. I haven’t tried the online play but I heard you have to do it either on the same wifi as your opponent or via Bluetooth, was kinda puzzled by that. Maybe mobile gaming isn’t that advanced yet or adding these features requires a lot of software programming that would take up a lot of memory on our phones. Either way I say if you’re subscribed to the Apple Arcade it’s a definite download. If you own a console, don’t waste your time. The price EA’s asking for it is an easy steal & when you put that into perspective it’s understandable why certain features are missing in the mobile edition.

I love this game, has room for improvement. I enjoy playing this game a lot more then I used to because it feels more like console. The thing is that most people will play this on the go and won’t have time for a full game. Because of this, an addition I would love is to be able to save and quit in the middle of a mycareer game. Another thing I would love to be added is mycareer multiplayer that allowing you to verse other people with your build. Similar to the neighborhood on console. Further more, I wish it was easier to get vc. It would be nice to be able to get vc by playing multiplayer blacktop. That would make me rate it 5 stars.

Great for the most part. I really, really, like this game. I used to play the nba 2k20 mobile version and this game is very similar. I like that it has most of the same modes and all that, but I really wish you guys had included association. Personally, it’s my favorite mode, being able to manage a team and take it to the finals. The graphics are smooth, the audio is good and the gameplay is top notch. Another thing I wish you guys would include is the 2K beats. I’m not sure if it’s included or not but it would help. Usually when I do anything, music is a good motivator. Anyways, yeah. Well done 2K, I’m impressed. 👏👏👏👍👍

Don’t play if you are looking for a fun Sports Game. Let’s face it, EA does not have a good track record when it comes to customer service or being focused on the game aspect. While NBA 2k series has drifted down the dark path of simulation, it now moves from clawing at it’s fan base’s money to just clawing at the fan base’s time. The grind in this version is even more stifling than the pay to win console versions. VC was not modified to accommodate the move to mobile devices and therefore expect to play an ungodly amount of time to make any custom player feel like they even deserve to be on the court. With 10 hours in I’m about to can my own player just because, despite averaging 20 posts a game and B+/A- ranking the VC just doesn’t come in fast enough and the team mate AI is horrid. While all opposing teams are hitting greens on 9 out of 10 shots, your team mates will never fail at committing fouls, getting the ball poked from them, or missing wide open shots. Despite your own best efforts to carry the whatever team you play on, expect to lose a majority of your games. Don’t play if you are looking for a fun sports experience because this game was designed to push you to pay in order to compete and this version has no pay option, so you’re left with being unable to compete. Great job EA and Apple.

Worst than 2k20. Honestly This Was A Letdown and in my opinion worst than the first one, there’s just wayy to much removed from 21 compared to 20, the only good thing I could give this are the graphics and even those aren’t the best, I know it’s a mobile version but that shouldn’t be an excuse bc 20 was wayy better than this, the controls trash, the gameplay trash the story mode trash, there wasn’t even really a story mode, and can we still with the narrated story modes it gets boring and annoying, I know this is just a $5-$10 game but still if it’s a new version I expect it to be better than the previous not worse. After this review I’m deleting this and redownloading 2k20 because at least I had more fun and more characters to play on black top with.

Great game but.... First off the graphics are a major improvement. I was hoping you guys would take care of that. There was ah bit of regression as far as taking away the other game modes and different blacktop courts and stuff like that but nothing you guys couldn’t tweak real quick. I’ve been buying the 2k iOS version since like 2k15 and for the most part you guys were giving us ah copy and paste game with updated rosters every year (which was cool cause I was still obsessing every year for the next drop), but this year was much better. Hope you guys are really reading these reviews and taking them into consideration. I feel that us fans of the game really have some good points. If I could play as Kobe and Shaq wit these graphics! Man would be dope to have the season mode back as well, probably my favorite mode fasho. Also could you guys add a practice mode like off 2k14 iOS, sometimes I just wanna lay back and test out Zions dunk package. Lastly I was hoping you guys would add more blacktop courts this year but you did the opposite and took em away like what’s up with that? Overall great game but I think you guys over at 2k know we’re going to get the game regardless of what y’all put out. Still hope you guys reconsider tho.

Really bad controller support, and lots of other problems. Why in the world is one button mapped to two different actions? The B button is for bounce pass and hold to set a screen, but every time i try to call for a screen it dumps it off to the screener or another random teammate. The visuals are nice even compared to Nintendo switch but the presentation is awful, no broadcaster commentary, and the in game player and crowd sounds are very repetitive and lifeless. The non gameplay aspects are really rough as well. Menus have limited options and i cannot for the life of me figure out the substitutions screen so i just sit and wait for a full minute and let the computer take care of it. At least give me a way to quickly exit the screen! I played the 2016 iOS version of this game and would rather have that again than whatever this crap is

Terrible. Just terrible.. You don’t really have any control over what happens in the games. If you’re leading against the Lakers then the computer just takes over, Lebron scores 15 points in 2 minutes, all of your shots are suddenly being blocked and you end up losing the game. My other favorites are when I’m leading by 6 and my player gets taken out of the game, then I come back in after only 1 minute and I’m down by 14. Or how about passing the ball to a computer player and having them hold it for literally 20 seconds then hoist up some ridiculous shot even though there is still 3 minutes left on the game clock. Don’t even get me started on passing the ball to a teammate who is wide open under the basket only to have said computer-controlled player sit there and wait for a defender, then spend the next 10 seconds faking only to have some weak attempt at a layup blocked by a shorter player. On the other side of the ball, the “defense assist” button is a complete joke. When the opposing player starts to drive, your player follows them about halfway then just gives up. You get dinged on for a “defensive breakdown” when a player you’re not even supposed to be guarding scores. I could go on about the myriad shortcomings of this game, but it just isn’t worth it anymore. Suffice it to say that this is an absolutely awful game.

Good Game But Needs More. Well this game is fun to play it has mycareer blacktop play now and that’s it. No blacktop online, no mynba, no myteam, and no exhibition online. my career feels very basic and boring more or less if you want to play street ball with your favorite NBA players or just put the best on your favorite team (mine is the Bulls lol) and make dudes like Lebron or AD or Lonzo Ball on the magic or something like that than go ahead and download this game. That’s everything that you can do in the game. Overall fun to play but boring after 20 minutes or so. Just get a game like OceanHorn 2 or Sneaky Sasquatch on Apple Arcade this game really is not worth your time right now so just play it on console please.

Not Bad. Great to see this on Arcade. Couple of enhancements required. You need the in game commentary...just seems like it not complete without it. Association mode is also required. Wouldn’t be hard to add that (Surely...?). Also, playing on Apple TV HD, noticed no crowd is present...I’m guessing because the processor cant handle all the crowd based activity, so its turned off?... Hint Apple, new Apple TV hardware urgently needed!!!

Difficulty. Great game runs well but just the difficulty seems to be quite high even at pro level!

Why me. I am literally crying right now, in my career I had one of the best starts to the game ever and when the second quarter started I got kicked out, u guys make me want to kill myself, do something

Controls are terrible on phone. Shot timing is very tricky to nail. I’m on my third season and only just getting to above 40% with the help of some badges. Movement controls are really inconsistent and delayed and speed boost is impossible to control and makes transition defense hard. It’s still fun to play, but very frustrating. The stats aren’t adjusted for 6 minute quarters so it’s impossible to to win any awards when you’re up against 12 min quarters.

Add the same options as the NBA2k21 console being able to edit whatever. Love this game (NBA2k21) big step up from NBA2k20 mobile love what this game has in store to offer

VC. It is so hard to make vc you guys should make more ways to more vc than just 1000vc. In mycareer it takes like 30-40 mins to make 1000+ vc

Please fix shooting. Every shot taken is classed as “very late” and is clunky. The AI is clueless and the players are too hard to control. Will we eventually be able to use an Xbox One / PS5 Controller in this game? It says compatible here but it doesn’t appear to connect.

Awesome Game. It’s a good game with a good my career and association mode. It worked fine for a while until I logged on and it kicked me out of the app as soon as i clicked to load in and haven’t been able to load in since. When I could play it was good. Solid 4/5

A few changes.... This game is pretty good but here are a few possible changes: 1. In game commentary 2. Association mode, no my career players, just pick a team and play a season. 3. My ipad is gen 5, and for some reason that makes the graphics not great. 4. All time teams 5. Better crowd graphics 6. make it easier to earn badges in mycareer mode. Please read my suggestions and fix. Apart from these possible changes, this game is AMAZING! But when you start a career, it’s impossible to get a better rating than B in ur 1st couple of games! Skill you upgrade always not working during the game. This game is so bad，when you playing the career，the skill you learn from the skill board always not working and displaying when you playing the game. Substitution. When im playing career and we are leading in a game, then There will be a time out or a dead ball then i will be substituted and then all of a sudden we’ll be behind in the score and only seconds left!? Whats up with that?? Why dont they substitute me when i am the one scoring?? Smh…

Add keyboard function. Would love to use my keyboard rather than using my screen. Hope they add a function for it.

It’s good. It’s a good game and is really fun. I do think that you made it a bit too difficult to get badge upgrades but other than that it’s really good. I think there should be a way to use my career characters in blacktop.

Needs major improvement. Very unenjoyable experience, slow and overall chore to play. Every so often I will play it hoping it has been improved but am instead reminded why I stopped. Embarrassing.

Needs PS5 Dualsense support. Cant play multi player without this support, not buying an old controller to be compatible.

Controls are Crapola. The controls are beyond terrible. The shot button is so delayed that it is next to impossible to get an open shot and just as hard to block on defence. As someone else said, some commands are unnecessary like the lob pass button. The ability to modify the controls would be a nice improvement like making the shot and pass buttons larger. I hope this game gets patched.

Better than 2k20 mobile. I was very surprised with the graphics on this game much better than the previous game, if you want the best experience use a controller as it is hard to use the mobile controls. There are no announcers in the game and there are only limited game modes but hopefully all of that will change in the next update

Way too hard. On defence the opposition basically smothers you and you can’t even move your player, who’s just so slow. Then on offence you can’t stop the player at all, they just blow right by you. In transition your opponent is out the back as soon as there’s a rebound or steal. It’s just way too hard.

Game is fun but...... Game is fun but you guys really need to balance the Lakers, lebron specifically. I’m pretty sure lebron isn’t capable of dribbling past every player to do some crazy dunk every single play. I’ve tried even putting the difficultly to rookie, and yet lebron and ad are doing some non humans plays. Lakers seriously aren’t this good irl so please balance them.

Equipment options, commentary and more VC optiona. Dont get me wrong NBA2k21 is a huge step up from 2k20 but there arent any basic parts to the game that 2k20 had. For instance, I wiuld love if we could have our own skins in the game in which it dosent fully cover our leg like steph curry’s skins. Also commentary is very much needed as it enhances the game and makes it worthwhile to listen to. Lastly, more vc options should be there to make the game more fun and enjoyable. Controls are awful. Why is the controls so bad?? I try to press shoot I miss the shoot button 80% of the time and then I lose my open shot. Even just moving is rough, holding down defense & even passing and calling for screens is so bad. This game would be so good if the sensitivity for the controls weren’t so bad. The game before this one wasn’t even like that. NBA2k20 had nice controls & a great announce team.

Love this game but crashes too often. Amazing game but crashing often, and since I started the playoffs it’s even worst. I can’t get past the 1st game cause it’s crashing always at the end of the 4th quarter. Been trying to get past through that 1st game for 2 days

Gameplay - Good Game Modes - Beyond Disappointing. The gameplay was a huge upgrade from 2k20, much smoother and a more updated product. But the absolute absence of any real game modes besides just a single game or mycareer makes playing the game for any length of time just not possible. Confused as to why association mode was dropped, as it was the only real in depth mode in the last game.

Lags and needs improvement. Devs you need to do better!. This game has multiple lags, connection issues, obvious socket mismanagement, Poor tolerance for wifi handling, and of course, leading up to the extremely laggy experience. You made a good game crappy due to inadequate programming. This needs to be improved. Also, overall the UI is terrible.

game resume option. game is lovely and all, very good. the inly reason i have apple arcade tbh. but the main problem i have with the game is that if i leave the app by accident and the app refreshes, the game restarts and starts all over. all my time, points and everything, gone. it would be really appreciated if something was done about this

This is so aggravating. This version of 2K21 is worse than both console versions to try and sit thru, it’s so excruciatingly painful the inconsistency the lag on jumpshots trying to go up for lay ups and get long close shot jumpshots instead there IS potential here but right now I don’t see the majority of people enjoying this game because it’s such a headache to navigate mechanically, if you’re using you device to try and control your players then the buttons are to small if you use a controller it feels like there’s even more unresponsiveness in regards to dribbling and shooting, speaking of dribbling and shooting it’s almost impossible to do either effectively and efficiently

Inconsistent Every Year. I understand as developers it’s a lot to incorporate into a game and a lot of different aspects but it seems every year we get one thing and they take something else out the game. I’d simply like to buy VC I can’t do that. 500 VC per game played is a bit tedious and the developers know how wildly inconsistent the players starting out on My Career is. Teammate Chemistry is gone. Most of the shoe gear is mediocre and it just doesn’t feel like an authentic 2K. This is more for elementary kids and not like that console. Kind of disappointing year after year seeing people ask for these simple request and it always seems to be done halfhearted.

What are these controls. I cant even play 2 minutes of this first of theres like 2 modes, the mycareer just throws you straight into a team and building your character is not the same as console which doesn't seem like a hard thing to implement, as an example you cant choose your base ratings just the pie chart you want. Then there is the god awful controls the movement stick is pretty much in the center of the screen, sprinting is pretty much impossible, the shoot/block button is so small and right under a dribble stick so you end up trying to attempt dribble moves instead of shooting, the call for pass button is also the screen button so when you call for a pass you end up doing a screen animation before so your defender can get closer to you, and the god awful shooting ex: if you get the meter just under the top of the meter your most likely going to get very early. This game is very unfinished and a waste of time Graphics are good though!

Best Basketball related game so far. Honestly this is the best 2k game ever. At first it was nba live mobile then nba 2k mobile but now no doubt it’s this. Only one thing you guys need to add and this will be the best one. It’s all time teams that’s really it. All time teams are so dope on nba games on console. I really want it for blacktop and quick match. Oh and another thing add commentators it’s so boring only hearing the crowd and the players talking but other than that this game is a success I rate it 5 starts fasho.

Best Mobile 2k Ever. So when I first doawnloaded this game this morning I was exited everything was going well gameplay wise until I listened and found out that there was no commentary and then I go through the game modes and I didn’t see a my player blacktop mode I think y’all should add a park feature like 2k17 where you don’t have to walk around but at least a mode where you can play online with friends or with ransoms using your mc player but other than that fantastic mobile 2k!

Needs a lot of work. The overall graphics of the game is good; however, there’s a lot of room for improvement. One of the major problems is that the crowds are literally paper cut outs, I hope 2k can patch this. I also hope that 2k can bring in more modes such as my league and my team. There’s also no commentaries at all in the game. I also hope that 2k can update the rosters on time, for instance, Derrick rose should not be on the pistons and Andre Drummond should not be on the cavs. During half time of every game, there’s no entertainer at all, there’s just random machines floating in the air. I also hope that 2k can allow players to actually shoot around during “shoot around”. I understand that this game just came out, but I still hope 2k will put in the effort for improving this game.

Good game but.... To start off, the graphics in this game are a major improvement from 2K20 Mobile. The controls are much smoother and everything feels much more robust and easy. But, it feels like the game is very incomplete. There is no commentary, no post-game interviews like 2K20, VC is very hard to get (you can't buy it). This makes the game feel quite unrewarding and even boring at times. What the game does right, it does very right, and what it does wrong, it does very wrong.

Commentary, Replays and My GM. Why is these content missing in this game. This isn’t a 2K game if it doesn’t have these basic thing in the game. Can you also add practice menu like in 2k20 I need to be able to test my player out and I also need players to actually fall when their ankles get broken they just freeze for a few seconds. I had my ankle breaker badge maxed out played over 40 games with maxed handling and didn’t make a single player drop

50/50. Awesome graphics but that’s it like come on no announcers, you can’t even sprint down the court with out your my players being fatigued too. Can’t buy vc, like bro who wants to play my career when you can’t even do anything to earn more then 900 vc a game played 12 games and got to a 70 and still can’t make it 2 min with out being fatigued, Or making a shot can’t throw it to paint without a TO either, think y’all released a game that wasn’t even finished, game makes me severely mad. But it’s 2K hate love, glad y’all released it just plz add what’s missing and fix some issues. Played every 2K love all of them just wish this one would of been better then 20 😂

MAGNIFICENT!!. First of, I absolutely love the game. Great game overall, graphics are superb, player movements and dribble on point.!! Only problem is 😁 there’s no way to purchase VC coins to upgrade your my player vs just trying to earn them all the time. Wish you guys would add that. 2nd.., PLEASEE pretty please add a normal season mode where I can use the generated teams and current rosters. So I can take my hometown team . There is a lot of work needed in career mode. Career is ridiculous to play if you don’t play 2k games often especially since there isn’t a rookie difficulty. Especially starting out you can’t make a mid-range or 3-pointer without getting the timing perfect, causing you to put all of your coins into shooting. There also is no way to see the controller layout and to see how to preform certain dribble moves. Playing defense is extremely difficult on controller ‘cause your player will stop moving when you reach for a steal for some reason. Also shooting just feels extremely janky and weird.

It’s ok but there are some issues. The game is cool but I have some issues with the my career and blacktop. In 2K20 there was a feature where we could practice our jump shots / dribble moves in the mycareer mode and thats not included in this game. It’s difficult to figure out the timing of the jumpshot while in game without going 0-10 from the field. And for blacktop just like last year we were able to play with our created player but this year we aren’t. Would’ve given 5 stars but this really takes away from the game for me

Good game! 2 suggestions. The game is pretty impressive considering it’s a mobile version. But I’d love to see a franchise mode similar to the console version! I don’t even need an online mode, just a franchise mode. The other suggestion would be to have practices and such to allow my player to increase abilities quicker. Right now it takes too long and he is missing too many open shots because of bad attributes. But overall it’s an impressive game for mobile.

Pretty solid. Good game, however I do wish there was a way to change button sizes. Oftentimes I misclick resulting in me missing the chance to get an open shot or make a good pass. If the buttons were bigger it would be nice. The button placement is also kind of bad with the “home bar” being at the bottom I find myself hitting that often and kind of sending myself out of the game. Just small things to consider but overall it’s a good port for a game that’s usually on console

Really Good. First, I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about, this game is amazing. Stunning graphics, easy controls, and it can be played offline. Honestly if you don’t know anything about basketball at the series of 2K games, you won’t like it. Being a follower of the 2K games on console and mobile since 2K16, I love the game. It’s a really good game overall, all the bugs are fixed and I never have any. I recommend that you download this game, even if it’s for the free trial. I cannot wait for 2k22. Really great game.

Career Mode. I really like the game overall but I would like a practice mode and VC currency to be used more in the game. I know this is going to sound strange but I want to be able to buy VC and get equipment and everything like that. I love to test out new builds and see what they would be like on the court. Also maybe modernize the Career mode I feel like this is still in the 2000s even though it’s a updated roster, add a story like or something to catch more attention to the game. I hope y’all really reading these reviews and give the people what they want.

Great visuals but ultimately lacking overall. Visuals great. Controls (keyboard) difficult at first but you get used to them. Shooting ridiculously difficult. Seems like you only always have to "green" your shots for them to go in. The AI is as usless as a raincoat in the desert. They play no defense meaning you have to switch from player to player every few seconds. This sometimes results in switching to a player you didn't want to which will ultimayely constitute in the opposing team driving in and scoring or shooting a 3.

The game needs online park or it’s not complete. Y’all really need to add an online park. I am happy with the badges and graphics improvements and stuff but y’all did that but didn’t really make the game more fun if y’all added an online park like the neighborhood where u can walk around and stuff just like console that would complete the game. And y’all cannot claim that is impossible on mobile because there are basketball pro games like that on Roblox mobile so if Roblox can do it so can y’all m. Pls add this that’s all I ask for please.

The game is frustrating. I honestly don’t know who make these games but can someone please tell me why a 6’5 player is moving like bricks are in his shoes when it comes to rebounding? Actually like why is anyone missing wide open rebound like if I lost battling or lost to a better rebounder that a make sense but for my player to move like he got bricks in his shoes is stupid rebound rating shouldn’t be a thing but the chance of out rebounding other people should but no character should be moving slow mo and missing a wide open rebounds. but besides the graphics this game is trash like it’s no practice so that your character can make progress and no tattoos no nothing that made 2k great

Great but has flaws. This is a great game maybe the best yall have put out...but theres so many flaws like the fact that it has no my nba you cant adjust team minutes the cpu constantly just chnages the lineups imagine preparing for a big game and the coach makes a bad lineup choice and the trades are horrible in my career my team traded paul George for gordon hayward straight up...yall have alot to fix but overall this is a great game so far but i do feel if no changes soon it could be a fail.

By far the worst one yet. After years of them just copy and pasting the same game year after year they release this garbage. I was hoping for an upgrade not a choppy, slow, garbage gameplay. They spent all their time making it look good but the gameplay is slow, clunky and it’s almost impossible to make 3. In an NBA where the pg and 3 ball rule, you can’t even shoot. It’s worse than watching a middle school girls basketball game. My career is so hard and I’m lucky to go 1/15 shooting wide open shots and layups. Put the old gameplay back with the new graphics and you got a winner.... duh

Great Game but lots off issues. Started 2K mobile series since 2k13 and thrilled to see how graphics in this game improved enormously from the preceding versions. It’s literally getting closer to the PC version now! But why leave out historical teams and players? That’s a big feature we love in 2k20. And seems that VC would be reset after restarting. Anyway, it’s a pretty good start. I noticed that it’s the version, so can’t wait to see future updates!

Semi Poor Game. Game is not great in terms of performance or graphics when compared with the full fledged console versions. This makes sense as most iOS devices don't have discrete GPUs. However, a couple really big things from a gameplay persepctive are missing. Career stats are really barren and are missing important metrics like FT% and all-time scoring leaderboards. Most importantly though, there's no icon passing which makes it impossible at times to pass it to the right person and the player will often turn the ball over because they make a pass to someone who isn't the intended reciever. There are also no team practices which makes it difficult to grind badges. I do, however,like the exclusion of microtransactions. SUMMARY: -Graphics and gameplay are mediocre -Missing a lot of statisitics that sum up your career -Hard to grind badge points (no practice mode in MyCareer) -No icon passing makes passing awful No microtranscations

Solid, but not meant for mobile. The game runs well and everything “works” as it should. Touch controls, however, aren’t terribly responsive - catch and shoot & cutting and catching for a layup/dunk is incredibly inconsistent and it’s frustrating. Also playing my career as a new player is frustrating because of the lack of responsiveness. As soon as you touch the ball I’m smothered and stripped and there’s nothing you can do about it. Figuring out the shot timings is not terrible friendly either and I’m not sure if the release timer actually works - shots are always way late not matter how early I release.

Shooting system. This a a very good game I’m playing on a iPhone 8plus and I’ve played nba2k20 before and playing 2K21 now is giving me problems because the shot release is hard to control you can never kno when to let go it just never work and whenever it does you can’t do it back y’all should’ve let the shooting system be the same as 2K20 it think it would’ve been much better thank you it s very great game I enjoy playing but that issue is very bad for everyone too even my friends when I want to play with them they say they can’t shoot as yet it’s everybody problem

I love the game but it still needs a few things. First of all, I think that there should be some active commentary while we play like the actual 2k game. Also, I would love if we could have a practice mode for the my player. Lastly I would like if the roster was updated frequently enough so the real nba players are on the right teams. I’ve noticed while playing my player that a few key and top notch players are still on their old teams. Other than that it’s a great mobile game over all.

Why is this rated so high?. This game is extremely buggy and almost impossible to control. The buttons are not very responsive and if you don’t touch right in the middle of the button, you get nothing. There is still a lot of stuff wrong with the AI. My players always go the wrong way than what a typical human would and end up getting in the way of the play. There is horrible control with the thumb sticks, referring to dribbling/shooting. The response should have a larger margin so you aren’t shooting when you are just trying to control the dribble. It’s actually a disappointing game.

Great Game, Great Platforms, Missing 1 Thing. First, I love NBA2K, always have, and I love that I can play this game on my Apple TV now. Soooo happy about that. However, I would go crazy if you updated this version (or released a premium version outside of Apple Arcade) that included a full franchise mode. I’d seriously pay a monthly subscription fee just for a 2K version with that. ***Addendum: I’m in 2OT with under a minute left and suddenly my camera angle changes to court level. Can’t see anything on defense. Can’t change it back in options even though it asks me if I want to confirm the change.

NBA 2K21 Review. Despite giving this game 5 stars, one of my only criticisms, which is super picky, is the fact that you can’t skip back very often to the beginning of each play in blacktop after a foul or a made basket. The other thing is a even more picky, but it applies to both the mobile game and Xbox. This may just be me, but I’ve always found the net movement on the basketball hoop to be really unrealistic.

Happy But Sad. Graphics are really really great ! Crazy how nice the graphics are but I’m VERY UPSET we don’t have the association mode or MyGM mode. Like why can’t developers ever give fans the full experience we always have to get the short end of the stick some how some way ! Is it for money purposes? Is it to get people to buy the actual physical game if you want all the other modes? People will do that anyway cuz the mobile version is cool but nothing beats the actual console ! This is just cool when you’re on the rode or sitting around in public bored . GIVE US MYGM & or the association please !

Excellent graphics but game engine glitches. Overall the game graphics looks great, however I’m frequently running into issues where the engine will freeze, snag, or even crash mid game. I understand I’m playing it on an older model device (6s+) so that possibly may be contributing to those issues. If that’s the case it would be nice if a note was placed in the game descriptor warning that the game is optimized for iPhone X and later and may not run as smoothly on earlier devices.

Great step forward, only missing a few features. Really, really great game by 2k, console like graphics and smooth gameplay. Although it still has bugs that’s the consoles also have... which is annoying to say the least. Case in point the my career mode, it’s really fun and engaging, especially knowing there’s no micro transactions. Still, i would for them to add play calling in all game modes, and tweak the cpu and their shot success rate it’s honestly frustrating seeing contested greens go in. Other than those 2 it’s a slam dunk corny pun intended

Thanks for the update!. I’m very glad that this game was updated, though there are still some things missing from this game (in my opinion). I would like it if the next update could include an in-game commentator (like the previous NBA 2K mobile games). I would also add a 'Player of The Game' mechanic, showcasing the player of the game(s)’ highlights (maybe with background music). As I have said in a previous review of this game, I would like there to be MyCareer connections, and or a training mode to practice different skills. Otherwise, I am liking the game’s progress so far! Keep it up!

Almost Perfect.. Please, allow us to customize the size and location of the controls. Great game except graphics on back of jerseys are illegible. Also please update the rosters/coaches for the teams including in 2K mobile please!! Other than that, game is great, much better feel, controls and mechanics than 2K mobile, except the defense switching can get very annoying when switching between players. 9/10 right now 👍 ALSO PLEASE READ. Its way too hard to play in the paint/pump fake, pretty much anything in the paint will get blocked unless you’re wide open. Very annoying

Better graphics than ever but.... Considering it’s 2021 and all the craziness going on... I am impressed with the developers to improve the graphics dramatically. I wish they kept the legends teams as that’s more fun to play with in previous editions. I guess they couldn’t get commentators? I find the player movement fluid and more realistic but harder to move players compared to 2020. I miss the on fire ball option. What’s up with random signs on court running by themselves? Mops, etc Overall good game but please bring back legends. I need me some MANU GINOBILI!!!!!!!!!

much more to be desired. I like the game as a solid and fun thing to play. There are a couple of bugs in the game that I feel need to be worked out, such as the digital displays in the arenas don’t want smoothly, and at first the shop meter didn’t even show up when I pulled up to make a jump shot. this is not take away from the overall fun of the game because it is still a fun and enjoyable piece of work. The my career is very deep , and The multiplayer modes are fun as well. I don’t think that it’s a bad game, I just think that with a couple of bug fixes, this will be a much more Polish game that deserves more credit. I can’t wait to see what the updates will hold

Fix your game. Fist let me start at my career, you can’t make any shots, pass, dribble, and you stamina runs out in 5 secs. Also pro difficulty play like HOF the cpu make every shot and it impossible for you to guard, also the screens are like super glue if you run into at screen (which it makes you do) it is impossible for you to move around them. And these are just a little bit of things wrong with this game the list goes on. I’m just making this report I’m not bashing your game I’m listing many things that need to be fixed I like the game other then those problems and I pretty sure there are many people having these same problems.

Good game but needs some fixes. First off this game is amazing and I love the graphics but I feel like all the point guards who shoot a lot including me would LOVE some type of green animation like when you green a shot you should wanna see something like how curry did when he turned around and froze or the windmill animation in the 2K21 for Xbox and PlayStation what I wanna see is when you go to animations and click on player rituals you should see a tittle that says 2K green animations plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz trust me on this

Don’t waste your time. This game is flat out terrible. In MyCareer you have to build a character with basically no basketball skills at all to compete in the NBA. You miss every shot, miss simple layups, can’t run/jump/defend. You wonder how someone could even make the NBA with how bad they start you. You are expected to cover stars like Curry, Lillard, or Simmons and get heavily penalized for not scoring/ bad passing/ defensive breakdowns etc....so you can not improve your character at the end of each game. It is a tedious grind for incremental growth...not worth the time. Additionally, the shooting mechanics are impossible to figure out and are so delicate with no room for error...yet there is no opportunity to practice. Terrible game...as said at the top DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

2k listen. I love the game if feels like I’m playing on the PlayStation, for the next update put association Would be pretty sick. If I were you 2k I will put it for money like for five dollars and not paying for $4.99 each month. Because I don’t think that many people are going to keep taking for that long because They have to pay each month and young kids wouldn’t be albe to play But i enjoying the game alot

Awesome!!!, just a little bit more room for some improvements. Overall this game is awesome...from the graphics, to the shot mechanics and individual player attributes. However I would love to have some features like instant replay, and also commentary which I think gives you that realistic aspect when playing the game. Also I would love if there were more equipments available especially sneakers and also ‘my player’ features such as tattoos and personal upgrades and celebrations when creating a new player.

Problem. When I downloaded the game I was enjoying and then started my career. I was pretty far into my career and then all of a sudden the next day I go into the game and press my career and it kicks me out. At that point I’m wondering if I did something. I decide to download it again and start all against but nothing saved from my old career. And then same thing all over again but this time it’s not letting me start a new one or even get in the game. Is it just me or the game? Has this happened to anyone else?

Best Basketball Mobile Game Ever. Literally everyone who is saying you can’t make wide open lay ups are lying and probably never played the 2k wether it’s console or pc the reason why you are missing layups is Bcz you’re guarded and you’re overall isn’t that high you need to upgrade the player in order to make those contested layups stop bashing this game it’s the best mobile game out I love you guys for making this game please don’t take it down

Great game. It’s a amazing game the only opinion I have to make the game more fun and enjoyable would have to be the online gameplay. Bring the park to the mobile game. Also let people buy Vc. I’m rambling but it’s a great game good graphics coming straight to my phone better the psn and Xbox versions. 2k16 Controllers please!!!. I have been a big fan of NBA 2k mobile and always having the same controller issues whenever newer versions come up. Last year, 2k20 didn’t have the 2k16 controllers but an update came in and included the old ones. Please include it again to the controller options. Nevertheless, the whole game is 100% great!!! I love how everything was made. Please include the 2k16 controllers on your next update!!! Thanks 2k fam! Roster Updates please!!!!

Not aimed at the casual “Arcade” crowd. Not friendly for casual players at all. No explanation of shot mechanics or what buttons do for off ball playing, button selections seem not responsive (do I have to stop joystick movement before hitting a button? I don’t know), no simple practice mode, joystick on iPhone very sloppy or laggy - character always out of the action despite pulling in correct direction. Frustrating for the new player and not fun at all. Wanted to like, but too unclear for beginners. Is it really too hard to have a tutorial mode? Probably good for experienced player: graphics are smooth and fluid, gameplay and character movement look pretty, sound is nice and detailed.

More modes plz. Can you guys add franchise or my Gm. Those were amazing offline modes and I think that they fit the bill for future updates. And, suggestion for nba 2K22, make community photos more moderated. Thousands of kids can’t play the console version because of this. That’s hundreds of thousands of dollars you guys are missing out on. Keep up the good work, I can’t play console because of this though

Better odds. This game has its good points and bad points something I’ve noticed is if you start beating the computer or you score is close random events happen like player not passing to players next them or the dribbling turns to shooting across the Cort or the computer having shooter with 80% on threes and keeps hitting threes to widen the score board. Or 1 min left and the computer start blocking in odd ways or miss shots that go In rim or come out . I can actually say this game needs Better balance. For all teams especially having player who miss but get their own rebounds to shoot it back in and make it all the time that doesn’t happen in a real in real life

Good game but missing some key 2k cornerstones.. Online gameplay is the one thing that can keep a 2k title fresh. SIngleplayer modes are great for a minute but theu get old quickly. The problem is, the matchmaking appears to be broken on mac and overall with this game. I can go back to 2k20 mobile and find a game in about 15 sec, and at most maybe 5 min. However, with this game I haven't found an online match once. I found one match on the iPhone version about two months ago, but haven't gotten in a games since. Also the key cornerstone that's missing is ASSOCIATION. MyCareer is fun but you get tired of playing with a slow, bad shooting player, and you want a break from grinding. My favoite mode in all 2ks is association but its just not here. Playnow is not good enough for another option. Summary: This game needs online gameplay and matchmaking that works. This game needs myLeague / Association mode. please add... Thanks!
