Canceling a subscription doesn’t work. I purchased a weekly subscription and then realized I didn’t need the app that much so I canceled within the 24 hour time frame. The app kept charging me every week even though I canceled so I emailed through the form provided and never got a response. I sent messages through IG and someone responded but couldn’t help me. After many weeks, I ended up having to turn off my Apple Pay auto payment options so I wouldn’t keep getting charged. The company does not have a phone number to call for support either.

Beware, cancel thru iCloud not App. This app make its easy to upgrade and pay more, but hides how to unsubscribe. It appears that you can cancel from inside the app using the “manage subscription” tab but that is not true. You must go to apple settings, your name for iCloud, subscriptions, and then cancel there. This is a scam way of getting $7.99 from thousands of unsuspecting trial users who thought they cancelled. Customer support states “it’s in our terms, non refundable” and hides behind their policy. Beware.

Helpful. Sometimes the identification system works ambigously - an app offers several results and you still don't have an idea of what you've identified. Nevertheless, this is not critcal for a simple amateur.

Only 1 reason for not a 5⭐️ review. I do like this app… because I love my plants… but I’ll admit, I’m a “newb” with indoor plants and needed some education on how to properly care for them, so they’ll thrive. Which is why I was so disappointed with how your app approaches my plants health diagnosis. This app does NOT provide this service, which is the reason I purchased it in the first place. 😔 It asks you to take pictures of your plant and it’s trouble areas to diagnose, but only redirects to the same generic page…. No matter the plant. If you can’t ACTUALLY diagnose the plant, I would remove the picture taking option and just advertise that generic page for information only, not diagnosis. This process, wastes my time by having to take the pictures and it only proving one single result. Id LOVE an update with this feature! Thanks so much

Inaccurate at best…ploy for paid subscription. I just downloaded this app, and took it on a test mission around my yard where I know exactly what I have planted. It did not correctly identify my peonies at all. In fact it gave me different results with different photos of the same plant. I continued to get misidentified plants. Before I could use the app, the immediate target was to get me to sign up for the premium membership to the tune of $199 for a lifetime membership or $7.99 per week. Really don’t think anyone would get their money’s worth from this crap app.

Also unable to cancel!. I tried to cancel my membership, I went to settings, manage my subscription, but the only option I’m given is to upgrade. I contacted customer support and they told me to do what I already did and said they will not refund my money. They got two weeks on 8.99 out of me so far. 😡 the reason I cancelled is because the information I got about my plants was completely false. It told me one of my plants was healthy even though it was clearly dead ( I took photos of that plant on purpose) others were mis-identified. I bought a book on house plants and succulents which is way better than this app. That’s why I get for trying the easy way.

***Because zero stars isn’t an option***. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP. It is not user friendly and if you subscribe to the “free” trial, they charge you even after you cancel it within the specified timeframe. Then they hide behind their cancellation policy which is poorly written and does not offer adequate cancellation instructions. Their customer service is a joke. They had the audacity to offer me a discounted price on a subscription I didn’t want in the first place, instead of simply refunding my money.

Had high hopes…. I downloaded and paid $50 for this app as I wanted a resource to help diagnose an issue with one of my plants. The app was able to identify the plant but unable to diagnose the issue so I reached out to customer support. They told me they couldn’t help me but thanked me for the feedback to help improve their app and algorithms. I asked for a refund bc their app could not provide the service I paid for and they refused. Now I have to go through the hassle of disputing with my credit card company. Beware before you purchase as it’s not a cheap app!!

Vague Care & Disease Diagnosis. I purchased the app to help with care and troubleshooting of struggling plants. First of all, the identification of some plants is flawed. Secondly, several disease diagnoses were fungus. However, the pictures didn’t match my plant damage. Also, the watering and fertilizing frequency doesn’t match the instructions that came with the plant. The light sensor doesn’t seem accurate. Finally, the cost… too expensive.

Hard to use, database run short, unfriendly interface. I never got to the point that I need to leave a bad review for an app, but Carl is so disappointing. I was looking for apps helping me better taking care of my plants. Carl requires membership to have access to the app. I continued with three day free trial and 7.99/ week after that out of curiosity. I’m willing to pay for good service. However, I couldn’t find my plants and the interface was also not ideal. I canceled the membership in the app immediately and never used it again. Surprisingly, I found it kept charging me for 7.99 per week afterwards until I canceled from apple’s subscription. I tried to communicate with customer service and the only access is the write feedback in the app. Interestingly, it always shows “something went wrong” message when I click on the messages in “My feedback.” Carl really need to improve their product, both frontend and backend, and work on increasing the database. I strongly disrecommended this app based on my awful experience.

Terrible app. This isn't anything like the ads say. It doesn't identify the plants correctly and doesn't give you these kinds of solutions. Not even close. Google is better than this. I actually may report them to the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Reading the response to another negative review, and their "solutions", my photos were clear. It is not our job to help develop their app. I stupidly bought the lifetime subscription, and they wouldn't give me my money back for an app that doesn't even come close to what they say it does. Don't buy it. Ever.

Fraud, Scam. They don’t have an option to cancel membership in app as advertised. It’s “blocked” from allowing you to do so. Scanned one plant 3 times, great photo, great light, wouldn’t identify plant. If you don’t end prior to membership they charge you $30 A MONTH!!!! I notified to cancel and they keep arguing I should take a better photo and won’t cancel. Says on their terms you can do it yourself, untrue. I’m filing with apple and BBB for FRAUD. Do not use this APP!!

Alert noises. It would be nice to be able to choose alert notification noises of your liking to better hear when your plants need care!

Not worth the price - lacks. While the app is great at identifying specific species of plants, it lacks in identifying the correct ailment or diseases. The app will give a number of options of possible issues and sometimes none of them being correct. This app get gets a C- due to high price point and poor functionality.

Total Fail & Free Trial Scam. I downloaded app based on 7 day free trial offer. I immediately tried it, adhering carefully to instructions, for 5 houseplants. The app initially misidentified 4/5, and never got 2 off them after multiple attempts. It also identified an obviously sick plant as being healthy. Within 30 minutes, i knew this app was useless for me and i canceled the subscription in my apple account. I also tried to cancel within the app itself in “Manage Subscription”, but that would only allow me to upgrade. I did not choose that option, but somehow even visiting that section triggered a new round of welcome emails confirming my weekly subscription. I saw that the $8.80 charge was already pending on my payment method. Today, 7 days later, the charge finalized. Huge hassle canceling this and disputing the charge. Not useful and not ethical.

Needs to be more accurate. Have a small garden on my property just to see what it would come up with for a zucchini plant tried it six different times still came up with pumpkin. You expect someone to pay as much as $150 a year for an app to identify plants make sure it’s accurate!

False advertising. This app’s advertising tells you you’ll just be able to point your camera at a plant and it will give you an instant diagnosis. I’m actuality, it points you to typical plant diseases that are irrelevant to your plant. My biggest complaint is that it’s library is extremely limited; it has almost none of the plants i have searched for. This was a total waste of money for me and I have found a simple Google search to be more helpful.

Cancellation process. Hello all fellow new users, If you’re trying to find a way to cancel subscription of the app, after you’ve decided it’s not up to your likings. There’s going to be a trick to it, you have to delete the app itself and a pop up will show up asking cancellation and manage your subscription before deletion. I was informed to go to mobile settings to cancel or logically within the app. That is the TRICK, I figured it. Please read this review before purchasing. They need to inform us of this beforehand, that is very much false advertising.

I love this app !. This app is so useful, it identifies the plants I have at home by taking pictures, and they notify you when you have to water and fertilize. I personally love plants but life gets so busy sometimes I forget to nurture my little garden, so I love this app because it helps me stay on track.

Kim. Canceled this app within minutes because it could not identify my cactus correctly. I was just testing to see how good it was. They still charged me the $8.+ fee and now I can not contact them. They say I have no account and the my email is not registered, even though I am using the same email apple sent the notification to in regards to the fee. Should of been a 3 day trial and I only used for about 20 minutes. Totally frustrating! They stole from me.

First item- palm. Could not identify.. Really! It asked for money before you even get to look at the app. Either have to subscribe weekly, or pay $50 flat fee. I skipped it and was able to actually use it to identify a plant and the very first time, it couldn’t identify the palm. Gave me all the wrong information. I’m just not interested in being told I have to pay to do some thing that’s not even gonna work.

Makes plant care easy. Helps me water my plants on time and helps me diagnose any issues that are wrong with them like overwatering bug infestation‘s, under watering, etc. I definitely recommend using this app if your a beginner plant mom.

Great for reminders. This app is great about reminding me to water my plants, giving the health of the plant and trying to figure out what it is. However, it does not give information on fertilizing once you have established what the plan is. It want you to put that information in but I don’t know that information. It would be great if they could update it so that I would know!

Won’t help if you don’t already know the problem. I was interested in the diagnostic portion and tried it on a hydroponic tomato with spider mites. I got about 10 possible answers ranging from lack of water (um, it’s hydroponic) to shield bugs, to thrips. I also tried it on a Bearss lime and it couldn’t determine anything more than that it was a citrus. So I typed in the name and took a photo of a leaf with water damage. Again, I got a list of about 10 possibilities ranging from bacterial to (again) thrips and also aphids. So if you don’t know your problem, this app is going to charge you after 3 days to do as much research as you could for free online. A total ripoff.

A long way to go. I was super excited about Carl and become quickly disappointed. I think the intent is good but it has a long way to go. Every single time I took a picture it gave me a completely different plant bar 1 time & it was on the 2nd picture I took. Sorry guys, I wish you luck. I think I will try again when you have better data.

Phenomenal app. This is the easiest app I have found to date In locating species and care instructions along with all info on my plants. Also good to find your next plant baby that gets along well with others. Thank you, truly, thank you. My babies thank you also. Some have now moved inside due to your app and care instructions. Had no idea they were like me and can’t stand this Louisiana summer 🥵

Not a great identifier. I tried to use this app several times, and it struggled to identify the plants every time. I even tried to use it on a very simple plant, which was a chrysanthemum, and it still couldn’t identify it. I tested this app against the plantr app and the “picture this” app and both of those apps were able to pick up the image better than this one.

Waste of money. App has yet to diagnose one of my plant problems correctly. It has trouble identifying my plants. I am more than disappointed. What a waste of money! I purchased it based on the fact that it said I could use photos of my plants to identify a problem with my plants. Every time I send pictures of my plants, it pulls up three possibilities but none of them even look close to my plants leaves and they seem to be the same for a variety of different leaves and plants. This app was obviously released before they had developed enough variables to properly diagnose and treat plants. Total waste of money! The only thing it does provide is a set of how to’s for your plant so you could narrow it down yourself, but I could get that info from the internet without buying the app. Also my bad, I was not looking to record every time I water etc. I just find the app to be less That user friendly or what I expected. But maybe it will be great for you if you like recording details of plant care. I don’t have time for that.

Membership cancellation. This app is horrible all around. I had terrible experience with trying to use it as it didn’t do anything as advertised. Then once I tried to cancel this subscription they only offered to upgrade. I contacted them ( which is difficult by itself) and got round about answers to cancel the subscription. Finally had to google it. This is a scam to try and charge you weekly and they make it hard to stop it!

Beware of scam pricing. If you have a weekly membership and convert to lifetime, the app will keep billing you every week unless you actively take steps to cancel the original weekly subscription. To be clear: there is no added benefit of double paying for services. Every other app that I have used is ethical enough to automatically adjust the subscription in these instances. If you reach out to customer service you will be directed to their fine print. Be very careful with this app!!

Using Carl 😍. I don’t have a green thumb but this plant is really growing and there a new ones that came in. Thank you Carl for helping me through this process and it really makes me want to get more plants. I learn something new everyday so I’m happy that I found this app!!!

Do not sign up for this. I really wanted to like this app! I do not have a green thumb so any additional support would be great. I signed up for the free trial and on day one I tried this with 2 different plants. Neither time did it correctly identify what was going on nor could it tell me exactly what kind of plant it was. So, I went in and inactivated my membership, thinking that would end things. A few days later I was charged. When I reached out to customer support they said they can’t refund me. Unacceptable in my opinion… and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I deleted the app now… and have to reach out to apple store to make sure I’m not charged again! 👎

Not as described. I love gardening, absolutely love it. I do have issues with plants and saw this add on Facebook. I saw how it shows to take a pic and it diagnose what the problem is then gives you a remedy- brilliant! Except it doesn’t- very disappointing. I downloaded the app for that reason all your app did was described the plant and give me information about it. Which is great but I loved the idea, home made ideas on how to revive or help keep a plant alive.

Don’t waste your time. This app won’t allow you to end your payment here day trial. It is my second day and I am trying to cancel because it doesn’t tell me what to do for my drooping plant. When I get to settings and manage your subscription, I he only option available for me is life time subscription. I don’t want to any subscription! I try to send feedback on hey the app and it says message not sent…

Worked for me. Great app. I would appreciate some quick option to copy Latin name to clipboard for further Googling and/or button to quickly jump to Google results. I need it mainly for searching for local names in my native language. If app could show me local names as well, that would be perfect 😃

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I would give it a negative hundred stars if I could. This App will charge you once every five days $7.99, this is no joke. I promise you, beware and it doesn’t even work it’s total crap. It couldn’t recognize any of my plants, which are a snake plant, a money tree and aloe vera plant. So the fact that it can’t recognize them is pretty sad. They are pretty common plants if you ask me. I hope you read this before you purchase good luck!

Doesn’t work and premium package is no refundable. I selected the premium package because it was the best price but they mislead you by making you think that there is a trial period. There is not and I was charged $53 for this app. I used it on my jalapeño plant that isn’t doing well and after several attempts, it never correctly identified the plant. I contacted customer support who actually responded very quickly but said that the package was non refundable and to just delete the app. Very misleading and fraudulent. The app doesn’t even work! Beware!!!! It won’t let you proceed to use the app unless you select a package.

Wrong ID. I’m giving this 3 stars because of the plant identifier. I’ve used it and it’s been accurate and used it and it’s been way off. Now it could be because of the angle of the photo or it can be because it is just inaccurate. For example I used it to identify my spinach plant and it came back as beetroot after changing my angle it came back as a weed. After paying $100 for full access, I feel as though this shouldn't happen and it should be more accurate than what it is.

Waste of money!. Does not diagnose issues with plants. It comes up with the same possibilities each time! Not per the ad I saw at all! I would love my money back. I did receive comments back from development team. I still want my money back. The suggestion to contact customer service when I want diagnosis of problems with my plan is ridiculous. Your video shows the app doing that, not via email. If I wanted to use email to diagnose my plant I would not have purchased the app. Thumbs continue to face down.

User friendly. Simple enough to learn and gets really close to the plant I have every time. Needs a little help identifying when the plant is a baby but overall I like this app the best.

Canceling my subscription. I tried this programs which offered a 3 day free trial app. I have been trying to cancel this after 1 day and the app will not let me cancel. I noticed another person had the same issue. I will be contacting my credit card company and disputing any charges this app will try to go forward with. Please fix your app right away so no one else falls into this trap. Honor your offer of 3 free days. I want out as of today. Do not charge my card.

Bad Choice For Me. I can’t even load this app. It requires things I’ve never heard of. Unable to determine how to apply my money to another app. Terms of Service, etc., state that the developers of the app will spread my personal information all over creation, while assuring that my information is secure. Guess which one of those assurances I believe. This is not the app for me. Perhaps you will find it a good solution for your questions about plants.

I was charged for the app after only 4 days.. I recently download this app as a free trial. It clearly stated that it was a seven day free trial. I was charged after day four. That is not OK I also check the box that said notify me before being charged because I would’ve canceled it because I wasn’t overly impressed. I also contacted the app support soWe’ll see what happens and I might be updating my review. If not finding a way report the development company depend on their response.

They tried. It just doesn’t work. They need more sources on a photo scan versus generic spit outs. Idea: great. Execution: let’s just say sub par. I don’t mind subscriptions but just 3 days to try it? Come on now. Give it a month at least - perennials and similar require more time so ascertain simple facets of overwatering, time of year and so on. Also the image recognizes option software basically doesn’t do jack. Hopes are high. Currently - no thank you. Asking for that much money upfront without proven success or development on the back end…yeah not so much.

Don’t be fooled. The Carl app appears to be free but it really isn’t. If you want your plant diagnosed it’s going to cost you. I signed up for the free three day trial and immediately regretted it. It did not identify the problem. So when I tried to cancel the subscription, the three day trial, there is nowhere in the app to do that. What I then had to do was go into the Apple App Store, select the headshot icon on the top right, then go to subscriptions, and cancel the Carl subscription there. I hope this works because a lot of other customers have been charged even though they tried to cancel the subscription. I am keeping my fingers crossed and deleting this app immediately.

Better than other apps. This is definitely better than other apps I have tried, however, it does still need some work. In my case, it identified the correct plant 90% of the time. Thankfully I know the names of most plants, therefore knew when it was giving me the incorrect name. Otherwise, extremely useful in gauging light, water, reporting, etc.

Flowers. This is a great app to help me with my flowers I already do great with my flowers that are inside but some I need to check on bc I feel that they need more love and when I plan outside I am not good so this is why I added this and it works great! I am just starting this my first night but all plants are correct !

Good plant info. This app has good plant information and I downloaded it because it advertised a lifetime price however after downloading it, there isn’t a life time subscription option so I’m a little disappointed. Attempted to contact support and yet no response. After contacting the support team via the email from the review response rather than the contact via the app, I received timely responses to my concerns and seem to be actively getting addressed! Completely satisfied at this time!

Canceling my subscription. I went to the app and canceled the subscription the first day of the free trial asked me why I was canceling and gave them a answer. Was still charged 8.55 and when I went back to check to the “manage my subscription” In settings I clicked on it and it will not let me click on it has “premium status (active)” and it’s not letting me click on it I have to go into my apple subscription through my apple phone through the purchase history. Am I able to get refunded this? And how do I go about it.. I am hoping it does not charge me again because it was canceled before the free trial ended and still charged me.

Steep Price point. I used this on a couple of different plants in various stages and conditions. It was useful for identifying but I found that I had to dig a little to find info on suggested care. It’s there, you just have to look. I like that it lets you work out Care plans. I am not a fan of the price point. I was onboard when I thought it was $7.99 per month but it’s actually $7.99 per week… The 3-day Trial did not allow for enough time for me to confirm that their suggested Care would be effective. Maybe when it’s a monthly fee instead of a weekly…

So Upset. My account was charged 11.29 the day after I downloaded the app. I was to have a 3 day free trail. What a scam. I can’t cancel and now have to pay for my bank to stop any and all payment. This app is a scam and a fraud. Unhappy !!!

Not great. The plant id is pretty inaccurate and the diagnosis is vague or says it's healthy (when it's clearly not) don't bother with a subscription!

Beware. This app seems interesting but you have to create an account and immediately find out there is almost nothing free. I can’t see an option to cancel the account.

Charged when never used app. Download the app and was not aware that I would be charged right away. I want a refund for the amount of 9.99. I have already filed a dispute with PayPal.

Beware of this app. I signed up for the free trial, and then cancelled the trial on the very same day. I sent them an email right after Cancelling to confirm the cancellation. I looked at my visa statement one month later to learn that I’ve been charged over 60 dollars to this app over 5 weeks. There is no “cancel subscription” option on the app, contrary to the instructions that the support team keeps spending, so I’ve had to call VISA to have them take care of the charges in an ongoing basis. Such a pain. Still am receiving charges with no clear way on how to stop them.

Don’t download the app. There’s very very small writing that states you will sign up for a subscription once you click the confirm account. It’s basically a scam

Crooks. I signed up for the free trial. Was charged $11.29 two days later. They charge $9.99 per DAY. Very difficult to cancel - I’m not even sure if I was successful. You’ll get very friendly replies to your queries, but BEWARE. I can see now why the company calls itself Vortemol … they are outright telling you they are Voldemort! The warning was there but I was sucked in. Don’t be like me. Heed the reviews.

Keeps charging me. I used this app for a few days, decided I liked it! Helps remind this adhd brain to water my plants while also taking care of a newborn! Shortly after it renewed for another 7 days I purchased the lifetime figuring I’d keep using it. Well it charged me the $58 but has continued to charge me the weekly fee as well! App was helpful but not worth over $100!

No Value. It doesn’t recognize the plant right. For any diseased plant, it just says to water the plant and never gives the tips as they advertise in Insta or other channels. Because of the love I have to indoor plants, I bought this app. But due to fall in temperatures, plants are dying and when click a picture if always gives only one solution, water it nice.

DO NOT BUY PREMIUM. The reason I bought the premium subscription was to use the disease diagnosis feature, but it does not work at all. It gives the same 3 options regardless of the plant that I photograph, regardless of the angle or light. Without this feature working there is no reason to spend your money. It is a colossal waste. And they have a no-refund policy.

Needs Internet to work (phone data not enough?). Got this to identify plants on hikes. It works with photos after the fact, but I expected instant gratification like ‘sound hound’. I then realized it’s a free trial only and made sure to delete my account before the $50 fee kicks in. Maybe it works differently once you pay, but I doubt it? I’m not the target, but may be of use for other gardeners.

Less helpful than Google search. First of all it was not able to identify the plant despite three trials. Second of all for diagnosis it gave me a list of all possible diseases, some of which seemed mutually exclusive. I feel a bad that I have paid $7.99 for something that did not help me at all and was less efficient than a free Google search.

Cancelling subscription. For people who can’t figure out how to cancel the subscription, go to your Apple ID and go to subscriptions. From there on you simply just cancel your subscription and you will be done.

Terrible app. I was excited to try this app it had 3 day free trial. During the first day I realized this app was generic and did not work well identifying plants . I PROMPTLY canceled through app and was sent a message that they would get back to me! Of course NOT until the FREE trial was over. Don’t waste your money there are much betters apps and customer service available in other places.

Best Plant App. I’ve been using this app for maybe 1 year now and I looove it. I’ve had other plant care apps and this one is super easy to navigate and it’s has MANY plants to choose from.

Generic recommendations for sick plant. Disappointed in this app. IG ads make it look like you’ll get an actual diagnosis from photos. Instead you get a generic list. “Could be overwatering, could be underwatering, could be bugs.” Gee thanks, I knew that already. Info section is helpful but probably same as what you’d find on google.

Be careful what you sign up for. I downloaded this app to review before deciding to keep or deciding to make in-app purchases. I was charged $7.99 twice on the same day for 7 day premium access 1 week apart. The Apple receipt says “Premium Access (7 days)”. Seriously? 7 days for $7.99? That’s absurd. Take a look at their list of In-App Purchases, very confusing.

They try to trick you out of money. Would give ZERO stars if I could. This app wants to charge you money but never tells you until after you’ve downloaded it. Downloaded and instantly deleted when I realized they are trying to be slick and get one over on you. Any app that charges money should never be downloaded and automatically ZERO stars.

Good app but it is a weekly charge. The app is good. Works well to identify plants, learn about plants, helps schedule watering and feeding. BEWARE… it charges you weekly. I was okay with the $7.99 cost after my trial period. What I didn’t see was that it is a weekly charge. NO WAY AM I PAYING THAT… I could buy more plants for that monthly cost.

Total scam. This app advertised that it would diagnose problems or sickness in a plant. I tried with 3 different plants and was given the same message every time : cannot diagnose disease at this time, please try later. It was the only reason I got the app after seeing it advertised on various social media platforms. What a scam. And for $8 a month?! Ha! Google works much better.

Thoughts about the App. I very much love this app. It is easy to use and has soooooo many plants that I didn’t know existed. I’m happy I found it.

Horrible app. Not only does this app not help diagnose sick plants like it claims to, it will offer you a free trial & once you accept it automatically locks you in for a year subscription for $30 without your permission. And when you email customer support for an immediate refund they will tell you they don’t do refunds even though you never wanted the subscription/never use it. Scam of an app.

Dragon tree, ( maybe). I’ve had this plant for 34 years, it has done very well. But now the tips look stressed and the plant stopped growing taller, as it was almost touching my ceiling. I only water when I don’t see soil on my finger, when I check it for dryness… any remedies for me?

Useless. This app isn’t very useful… you have to agree to pay a subscription just to test it out… I haven’t been able to identify any plants… when something did come up it was clearly unrelated. It doesn’t really tell you what is wrong with your plants… it’s really a waste of time to be honest… I’m gonna delete this app and find another one

Love this app!. Makes identifying plants soooo easy!! Helps me keep a healthy plant schedule with all my different plants. Reminds me when to water,most,repot etc!!

Still charged after cancelled. I cancelled my subscription (before the 24 hour deadline) because the app did not work as I hoped. Even though I cancelled within the appropriate timeframe, my account was still charged and the app’s customer service refused to refund my account. Do not download unless you want to be charged!

Not helpful. You will be charged and it’s quite a bit. I would suggest you charge for the app vs the crazy weekly fee. It would be $30 a month. If I had that many plants, I’d assume to know enough to probably not need your app. Plus the app might not have all you need, but you only have 7 days to figure that out so work fast, then waste your time canceling. I don’t like the set up.

Not a great app. I have been trying to get a diagnosis of my plant, I have been following the directions and suddenly the app goes to another screen with out allowing extra pictures and won’t let me out of the screen unless I close the app. I have found this to be be very frustrating and not worth the money!

First item- palm. Could not identify.. Really! It asked for money before you even get to look at the app. Either have to subscribe weekly, or pay $50 flat fee. I skipped it and was able to actually use it to identify a plant and the very first time, it couldn’t identify the palm. Gave me all the wrong information. I’m just not interested in being told I have to pay to do some thing that’s not even gonna work.

From unknown. It is amazing for searching for the right plant and if it is p$ison I found a couple or those kinds of plants. Luckily this app helped me

Beware! No free trial with premium. Never received premium access trial during these 3 days. Yesterday I even checked my account status because I wanted to cancel any subscription. That status was set on basic ( and even asked me to upgrade to premium) next morning I woke up to a charge for $7.99/week and my account was switch now to premium.

i love Carl!!!. i’ve had so much fun with this app! i’m glad i went with the one time membership fee. i can see this being my favorite app for a while

Difficulty in canceling before free trial ran out. When I attempted to cancel before the free trial ran out the only option available was to upgrade in the app. After numerous emails I still have no resolution and by now have been charged for a months subscription. Very upsetting. Do not subscribe unless you plan on keeping it.

DO NOT GET THE FREE TRIAL. I got the free trail and thought i canceled it the same day and as everyone else said I was charged 3 days later, I tried to cancel the subscription in the app, I tried emailing them to cancel, I even contacted Apple support to try to cancel but had to dispute the changes with my bank just to get a refund smh I never been so irritated with a app that doesn’t work

App stinks and hard to cancel. This app offers you 5-6 possible issues, so impossible to really know what’s going on with your plants. Then they make it impossible to cancel... customer service - Mia, Penny and Grace all responded with canned emails... don’t respond to specifically what you’ve said and refuse to help. Beware... do not even try this app!!!!!

Wouldn’t let me cancel my subscription. When I went to profile and clicked give up benefits it froze and then it wouldn’t let me tap it again keeping my subscription active. Also had alot of issues trying to find my plants disease nothing like the add had better luck looking it up on google 👎

Seeing is believing??. I’m anxious to see how my plants (2) do with your advice. My philodendron was a funeral piece from the death of my dear Mother. She died January 31, 1960. I’ve kept it going with cutting every few years, and only ever given it water.

Cancellation process is BAD. Even though I cancelled the subscription during the trial period I was charged anyway. Cancellation process is very confusing. You supposed to offer free trial first and then offer paid subscription not the way around when people supposed to waste a lot time trying to unsubscribe. Very bad business tactics.

Didn’t work correctly and charged even though I cancelled. This app didn’t give me any helpful information, required me to sign up for the free trial to see if it could diagnose my plants issue, it didn’t so I cancelled immediately. It didn’t save my cancellation or something and charged me anyway $7.99 a WEEK for an app I opened once because it didn’t do what it advertised, and it won’t let me get a refund. SCAM.

Interesting. I have recently taken up growing my own veggies and such I thought okay I see free trial but let me see what it actually does before I commit to 8 bucks a week. It would be nice if you would do one plant free so people could decide whether or not they really want to commit because most people forget about free trials and get charged even if the didn’t like how it works. Just saying.

Not impressed with trial period. The actual app is okay but what I thought was a7 day trial was actually 3. I downloaded on a Friday afternoon and was charged $40 for a year subscription early Sunday morning. Not even a full 72 hours of trial. 3 days is an odd timeframe, but even so, a person should get a full 72 hours. Not 30-48 and then charge on day 3. Not impressed. That’s $40 I could have saved.

Support poor. Doesn’t diagnose right.. I purchased a lifetime, use it immediately. There was no diagnosis unless I would pay for an expert I asked for a refund immediately. They had no record of my purchase. I sent them a receipt and didn’t hear anything. Sent it again . Nothing. Sent it too more times. Nothing. Each time replying to their support email.

To aggressive. I don’t like that it seems complicated to cancel and that you only have 24 hours to cancel before you are charged for the app. It seems sneaky and overly aggressive push to charge right away before even having enough time to properly review app

Worst app I’ve ever used for plants!. It couldn’t even recognize a ROSE BUSH!! also no matter which plant it is when you’re trying to diagnose what’s wrong with the plant. It pulls up the same diagnosis's that could possibly be wrong with any plant. It doesn’t pull up things that could be wrong with that particular plant. I used the 3 day free trial and then I ended it because it’s not worth paying for!!

Does not diagnose as promised. I bought this app hoping to be able to help diagnose issues with my houseplants. They advertise a quick and easy diagnosis with a plan to help your plants. It only gives you a general “possible” diagnosis and other potential diseases but with ABSOLUTELY NO steps to help. What a horrible app! Do not buy into it…a TOTAL waste of money.

only 3 plants?. For the free version, I could only add 3 plants. Since I pretty much ignore my plants, I was hoping this would help. But you have to upgrade I guess to add more. After reading the reviews, it doesn't seem worth it. I am deleting this app and will look for a better one.

App broken with latest update. Ever since the latest update the app freezes when I try to snooze watering or misting for a plant. I have to close out the app and reopen it. Please fix this bug. Thank you.

Doesn’t diagnose properly. I was interested in knowing what was wrong with my plant. Instead of telling me what’s wrong as it advertised, it just gives me a list of 25 potential issues that could be wrong with that type of plant. Really not solving my problem I could’ve googled that myself.

Do not get this or try the trial. I did the 3 day trail and canceled it about 30 minutes after trying it. It did not give the correct plants. So though everything was great. Then I saw that I was charged 3 days after. Not good not good at all. I go to the app and click on the subscription and then try to click on the active and it won’t go anywhere. This is ridiculous. Don’t waste your time.

Poor Experience with App. I downloaded an app that offered three days of free use, but was charged for a full week at seven dollars. When I tried to get a refund, customer service did not respond despite sending multiple emails and did nothing to help me. My advice is not to rely on free days and not to expect much from customer service. I do not recommend this app to anyone.

Charged for renew without consent (like others). Like other customers, this app was not able to diagnose a problem with my plant. So I canceled within the free trial. I was still charged over $8 for a weekly renewal, a rate I would never have chosen given the lower alternatives. As others have noted, expect completely unethical business practices and massive hassle to get your money back.

Diagnosis piece needs work. The reason this app stood out was ability to be provided treatment. Like add pepper or lemon. Except it doesn’t do that. Gives a general reason for water issues like over or under. Doesn’t get specific. And I scanned over 20 indoor species. The app advertising is misleading. Does not stand apart.

Disappointed. I paid the $50 for lime time and I can’t get it to diagnose my plant health. I am trying desperately to maintain a plant here in my home and I took all the pictures and all I get is an error saying can’t diagnose please try again later.

Carl plant identifier. Yeah I’ll definitely need to upgrade your plants. I’ve got it telling me that some plants are absolutely not what they are but I’m gonna keep it because I have faith plus I paid $50 for it and I want to tell me what my plants names are, and how to take care of them
