Works great! Some issues. I love this app! Makes the purchasing process, for the most part, so much smoother and faster. However, lately it keeps closing repeating when I’m searching for a book or trying to message someone. And after the update I can’t figure out how to purchase a single book from its individual page. It just sends me to my cart where I then have to go find that book. Kind of a hassle. DISLIKE: I have found that after the update I can no longer purchase a listing from the listing’s page. It sends me to my cart which I have a lot of stuff saved in so I have to sift through everything just to find that one listing to purchase. Why can we no longer purchase a listing directly from its page?

Great app!. This app is amazing! I was hesitant at first,but I absolutely love it! I love that I’m not buying from a corporation,and I trust the app fully! My book came in great time from one of the sellers and was absolutely beautifully wrapped and I am beyond words at how happy I am! The other seller I bought for communicated with me very soon after I purchased and told she was on vacation,and would ship it out as soon as possible! And she did! I love that she commented and appreciated it so much! I’ll definitely be buying here again,and also in the near future probably selling as well!! ❤️

So easy and convenient. 5/5 from a seller’s standpoint. 3/5 from the buyer’s. I love that shipping is automatically and fairly calculated in the form of a media mail label that you can print at home and THEN just drop it off in a blue mailbox instead of going to the stinky post office. I wish the search function was a little cleaner when browsing for books to buy. The feed throws me back to the top anytime I click on a listing and go back, instead of saving my scroll-spot, which is just tedious. Also, more than one photo should be required for listings. The product is three-dimensional and should ideally show more than the cover. Because you can’t judge a book by its cover, can you.

Love it but needs work. Overall great all for both buying and selling books. I’ve found so many books that I’ve been looking for in used bookstores all over and never seem to find. The app does need some work with loading issues. I find that when you go to a sellers page it starts you far down their page instead of at the top. Also when you choose a book from a list then go back to keep looking, it kicks you much farther up on the page than you were before. Hopefully future updates can fix some of these smaller issues but a great reselling app in general.

Easy to use as a seller and buyer!. This platform makes it very easy to list books for sale. I also like the ease of browsing from sellers you you follow as well as seeing recently listed books in the ‘feed’. Communication between buyer and seller is very easy. One thing I would like to see is a way to automatically have a book delisted when it sells but you have multiple copies of it. Also a ‘sell one like this feature’ would be helpful to. All in all I have had very good experiences using this platform!

Such great prices!. I’ve had this app for about a week and I’m loving it so far! I’ve found some books for super cheap in great condition. I also think that this app is cool because I’ve been finding books that I’ve never heard about before. I will say that most of the selection is older books but there are some people selling the newer popular books too! I just think that the prices are great, especially shipping! I also sell on this app and think it’s pretty easy to navigate through and it’s nice to get a little something for books I don’t read anymore. Since it is a new app, there are always ways for it to improve and here are a few. When you wishlist books, it doesn’t add them right away in the shop portion of the app. I think you have to exit the app and swipe up to restart the app for it to show up or it just shows up whenever. I’ve also found myself accidentally deleting my listing for selling so I think automatic saved drafts of listings you want to sell would be a good idea. Finally, after you look at a certain thread and want to go back to the thread homepage, it takes you back to the top/all the way to the beginning, not where you were before. This makes it so you have to scroll all the way to where you left off or miss threads that people posted. But these are just little nit picky ways to improve an otherwise great app!

Tried this app out with skepticism, but wasn’t disappointed. I learned about this app through a Facebook add and decided to try it out of curiosity. Given the relatively low user base and the questionable nature of most FB adds, I was a bit skeptical and fully prepared to be scammed. I purchased a copy of Milton’s “Paradise Lost” for $1 (plus ~$4 of taxes and shipping), and was pleasantly surprised when the book arrived at my doorstep in fantastic condition. Obviously, not all buying experiences will go exactly as this one did, but I have confidence to buy from this app again after that transaction. Technically, the app could use a few tweaks here and there to make the service a little more seamless. For instance, finding your purchases and accessing a tracking number takes some searching, even after I had done it a few times. Placing that option a little more prominently on the hot bar could help. The forums are a great idea, but clicking off of them resets you to the top of the page, making scrolling to read more than the first few posts a bit frustrating. Overall though, this app is one that I will continue to use in the future, and look forward to seeing many more people use it as well!

Neat new platform!. This is a neat little app! You can find great used books that are reasonably priced. You can also sell your own old books to make some extra coffee money. Buying is a bit like Etsy. If you buy from more than one person or shelf you pay a separate fee for shipping (as the sellers are shipping the books, not the company). I was skeptical at first- will this be a scammer haven? But I was out at ease when I saw that PangoBooks doesn’t pay the sellers until shipment is complete. I am happy to say I just got my first 3 books and had a wonderful experience with it! I look forward to selling my own dust collectors soon!!!

Great but could be better. I’ve not tried selling books, but I have ordered 22 books from 8 different sellers. Seven of the sellers shipped the books quickly and they arrived in about a week. The condition of these books was exactly as described and the prices were great. One seller never shipped the item and did not respond to my messages, but after 10 days, Pangobooks allowed me to cancel the order and get a refund. The only improvement I would like to see is requiring sellers to specify whether a paperback is a trade paperback or a mass market paperback. It is sometimes difficult to tell from the picture.

Great app overall. I’ve been using this app for about 6 months now and overall I really love it. It’s really easy to search for and purchase books and I’ve had really great experiences with almost all of my purchases. The one thing I don’t really like is that the app seems glitchy when loading my wishlist. I have an extensive wishlist (a few hundred books long at least) and whenever I try to scroll through it to clear out the books that have been sold so that I can whittle it down, it will show me my few most recent adds and then will rapidly flicker up some books are on my wish list while not actually letting them load and eventually only pulling up some of my oldest wishlist books. Ive noticed this only seems to be a problem in the app and not if you access PangoBooks in a browser but the app is what I use most frequently, and I would really like to be able to see my full wishlist in the app.

5 stars from buying and selling perspectives. Ive tried a LOT of selling apps, and PangoBooks is one of the best by far. As a buyer, I can find great deals on books, shipping cost is low since they use media mail and theres no extra fees like other apps have. As a seller, its so easy to complete transactions, communicate with buyers, and print labels to ship out and the selling fees are very reasonable. I had an issue recently and the support team got back to me quickly and did more for me than I had even asked for, which is rare even among well know selling sites. Whether you are looking to make some extra cash with your old books OR you are looking for new and exciting reads, download this app and try it out! So great!

Love the app but…. I love the app, but trying to leave reviews of sellers is frustrating. It “remembers” all of your previous statements/selections and you have to unselect everything/erase everything before you start the next review to make sure there’s no carry over. That would make it easy if you always got great books, but I have gotten two damaged books and leaving good reviews right after the bad ones led me to accidentally say all the books are damaged. The biggest problem is that you CANNOT EDIT your reviews. So now I have two amazing sellers reviews that are five stars but that also say the books were damaged…and I can’t fix it. It’s so annoying.

Best Mobile Bookstore!. I’ve been a buyer and a seller on PangoBooks since it’s beginning, and I absolutely love it! It’s a fantastic place to buy and sell books, both new and used! There’s a wide variety of genres and prices, and multiple ways to find your next read! The community is also really friendly and understanding. The fact that the app is comprised of individual sellers, all with a love of reading, really makes for a great atmosphere. I’ve added so many books to my shelf, often in new condition, for a really great price. Would definitely recommend to all book lovers!

The best place to buy and sell books. It’s absolutely shocking how easy they make the selling process. From listing books in seconds to the automatic shipping, it’s about as user friendly and approachable as possible. Plus you can find awesome deals on books. So many friendly people just seem excited to see their books to go to a good home. I just bought a stack of kids books for my toddler and all the sellers messaged me to say how happy they were their kids books are getting new life. It seems sappy but that sort of social connection is so awesome and brings a whole new dimension to the book buying experience. Great app. Get it!

Great concepts, a few minor glitches in the app. Overall, I love the concept and the app. It’s a great way to give your books a new home and make some money on the side. There are really only two things I’ve noticed since using it. The first is when I tried to edit a listing and add more photos, it removed all the other photos and just left the new one. I tried to edit it again but then it brought all the old picks back and didn’t include the new one. It was very strange. Secondly, I wish they required people to list more than one photo. I bought something that was listed as ‘like new’ condition but when it arrived it had a public library stamp on the top and a rip in the dust jacket. This was not Pango’s fault at all but requiring more than one picture night help prevent things like that in the future.

Great app. This app has been wonderful from the day I downloaded it. First of all, it’s a wonderful way to find books at an affordable price (especially when you read a lot). It saves a ton of money, especially when you find a seller with similar reading taste and buy multiple books from them (plus the sales are awesome!). My favorite part of this app, is that unlike other used apps like eBay, you actually see the exact book you are getting. It’s not a guessing game. You won’t but a book listed in ‘excellent’ condition and then you receive it with tears, stains etc. this app allows you to see the exact condition of the book which is my favorite feature. There are some occasional glitches with loading but not enough to bother me.

Easy place to sell. I was looking for a new place to sell and buy books and a friend suggested this app to me. Love how easy it is to use and they provide shipping labels so you can package easily and quickly. Makes buying books easy too with your information ready to go when you want to buy. Only issue I have is getting funds transferred to my bank and the service fee. For each purchase they take 20% of purchase price which cuts in a lot, so be sure to price accordingly. And while I understand waiting for buyers to receive package before depositing funds, the transfer to bank option has been broken for months. So I have to wait weeks to have access to my money then can’t even transfer to bank and have to use PayPal and pay more fees to get my money. Not a big deal, but can be annoying at times. Overall, small issues, but be aware when using the app!

Suggested Improvements. This is a great app for buying books. The process is easy and the prices tend to be cheaper than elsewhere. Sometimes they don’t have any copies of the book I’m looking for, but that’s going to be the case for any new marketplace that’s still growing. I do have a few suggested improvements, however. -Being able to search by ISBN would make finding a book much easier. -Being able to click on a picture to make it bigger and be able to zoom in for more detailed photos. -Being able to leave/receive buyer feedback. This would allow first time sellers to have a rating and appear more trustworthy to buy from.

Great with one caveat. I’m really enjoying this app, the clear layout makes it very easy and enjoyable to scroll and find all kinds of great books to buy. My only suggestion would be a feature to block certain books or authors from appearing. When you already own a copy of a very popular book in your preferred genre, it’s a bit annoying to see the same book listed for sale over and over again when you scroll through that genre tag. The ability to block certain books or authors would make it much easier to find more books to wishlist and purchase. Otherwise 10/10!

Very Seller & User Friendly!. I joined PangoBooks in March of this year, and so far, I have enjoyed the dynamic of the app. I mainly sell books rather than buy them, so it's nice to see others interact with your page and books. The selling process is very simple and something I look forward to. PangoBooks has become one of my favorite apps. The books are at a great price, and I love how easy it is to communicate with a buyer and seller. In the point of view of a seller, the app is accommodating and reasonable and very user friendly. Putting books in my store and seeing how others have enjoyed them is a great reward. I’m glad I found this app and I hope others are enjoying it as well!

Great but needs some work. There are so many selections on the app and the community is just fantastic as they are also avid readers who understand your love for books. It’s also extremely easy to post books you want to sell though, it is a bit more difficult to be able to get that book to sell. The main reason being there are more sellers than there are buyers on the app currently. A lot of the people on the app are ones trying to get rid of books but they also buy from other sellers while there are only very few people who sign up to actually buy books. I actually feel the prices are very reasonable especially the shipping (compared to apps like Mercari). As a buyer and seller I really wished that I could split my earnings on different books unfortunately, the app only lets you use all your savings on the whole purchase when I just want to use some and save some money for a different purchase. Another thing is unfortunately if a buyer reviews their purchase you still have to wait three days til you get your earnings. I wish they’d take after Mercari where as the buyer is rating their package they can also confirm receiving their package so that sellers can instantly get paid.

Allow Bulk Purchases/Standard Shipping to a Specific Weight. I was going to order the rest of a series (7 books) that I needed but since they were from different sellers I was going to have to do separate transactions for every seller along with widely varying shipping costs. I ended up only buying one book, which had to be cancelled and rebought because the shipping label PangoBooks made the seller was not enough to cover the actually costs of shipping the book even in the lightest packaging. This app could benefit from a standard shipping weight up to a certain weight and then charge more of it weighs more. I lost my welcome discount since that order was cancelled and was lucky enough to find a work around and use the “pangobucks” so that I wasn’t spending even more over having to reorder the book with new shipping costs I was already adjusting to.

No category/hash tag for art books. I think it would be helpful to list hashtags/book categories alphabetically. With young adult listed first, I’m immediately thinking you emphasize this. If you alphabetize, everything is easier to find and it doesn’t look like you specialize. I sell art books, signed first editions, and some rare books. Nice app, but it looks like it wouldn’t work for what I sell. Not a complaint at all, just an observation. Maybe you don’t want art books or first editions as categories. If you’re going for a specific market, that’s great. If you want the app to reach a general market, two things: would be good to add categories, kind of makes it look like development team doesn’t really know books. Food for thought.

Great app for book buyers!. I have been so delighted with my experience buying books on this app! In recent years the price of used books has skyrocketed, and Pango is the first place in a long while where I have actually found really great deals! I have also had a great experience with all of the sellers. Most of them have been super friendly and swift shippers, and all of them have shipped me great books! My one big gripe and the reason for only 4 stores is the deep frustration I feel every time I leave a review for the seller. The text box where you are meant to type up your review is covered over by the popup keyboard on your iPhone—making it impossible to see what you are typing. I’ve tried to get around this by typing up a review in the notes app to cut and paste but I’m unable to paste it into the app. It’s super frustrating trying to type a message that you can’t see. I beg of you developers, please find a way to fix this! It’s a little thing but causes big frustration in the moment.

Excellent app. I have a huge book collection and have started selling them through the PangoBooks app. It gets you a little more for your books though parting is such sweet sorrow. I can’t take them with me and like to see them go to a good home and not chucked out in a yard sale after I am gone. The app is for person to person sales and it has the advantages of putting you in contact with like minded book lovers. I always include a card and a bookmark with my sales. There’s nothing like receiving a book in the mail especially with a little something extra. Easily the best way to sell your books online but needs a wider audience. It’s intuitive and easy to use. You get a fair price for your books rather than cents on the dollar. The only improvements I would hope for though I don’t know if it’s possible, would be a chat/ discussion room though that might create a an admin headache and also a way of sorting my page into catagories.

Give life to used books and find many new treasures for yourself. I have ordered books and listed books for sale. I love that this app gives people the opportunity to give life to their used books. I am so excited that this app exists and love to search through the books listed for sale. The condition of the books along with pictures allows you to find exactly what you’re looking for. Also, when selling books, it’s easy to offer discounts and shipping should be relatively easy with the labels being sent to you since the buyer pays for shipping unless you offer free shipping!

Every reader needs this app.. The amount of books I buy is insane. Which means i am constantly going through my books trying to make room for new one. This app makes it easy to do that. It’s easy to use/ navigate and the shipping prices are also great! Every other app I’ve used in the past seems to charge way more for the shipping than the actual cost of the book. Making it not worth it sometimes for the buyer nor the seller. If your a buyer of books and want a good deal, or heck if you just went a little crazy and bought every book you came across for a year straight & need to get rid of some (Me lol) then this app is for you!

Great app!!!. My daughter told me about this app when I admitted I was going to have a yard sale to reduce my book collection. It’s very user friendly, and I love being able to simply print a shipping label straight from the app and tape it to my package. It’s super easy to sell books! The only minor issue I’ve had is some of the ISBN codes or manual entries won’t populate books. It doesn’t happen a ton but around 4-5 times for me in approximately 80 listings. I’ve found the same books on there by other sellers with the exact same ISBN number, so I’m guessing it’s just a glitch. I was still able to list the book…I just had to do more manual entry. No biggie in the grand scheme of things.

The app I’ve been waiting for!. I’m in love with this app. I struggled to find an easy place to sell my books until I was lucky enough to stumble upon an ad for this. Once your books sell just print out your label, box it up and drop it at the post. I’ve already sold several books I was looking to get rid of and the process is so easy with PangoBooks. It’s a fun app to shop from as well. In the future I would love to see easier to view/more in depth seller ratings on their store page as opposed to just their listings. It’s a bit difficult to find the seller ratings if you don’t know where to look.

Great app! Few minor issues.. Overall I love this app. It’s very easy to use and navigate. Listing books only takes a few seconds, which is a nice contrast to some other platforms out there. Linking your PayPal or bank account is also simple. There are a few technical issues that can be frustrating. Sometimes buttons don’t work, and occasionally when I’m filling out information on the book I’m listing, the text will disappear and I’ll have to start over. These are minor inconveniences that I’m sure will be worked out over time. I also wish there was a way to see and edit your followers/following list or the lists of other users. If there is a way to do that, I haven’t noticed it. I enjoy it overall and I’m happy I found it!

Book store in your pocket. You can find wide ranges of books through this easy to use app. Wether it’s a textbooks or pleasure read or anywhere in between. It’s very user friendly and easy to navigate. I’ve bought books and sold books and the process is seamless. The app allows you to favorite books and add them to your wish list while also notifying you of price drops. I like the follow feature you can utilize to keep up with sellers that are selling books you’re interested in. I use this app every day, and it’s now part of my social routine!

Better than the rest!. I am an avid EBay and Poshmark seller, yet always struggled to sell books on those platforms due to the limitations of their descriptors/variety of other listings. I also always hated to donate books or sell to Half-Price Books (or others) because I was only making cents back on books I paid good money for. PangoBooks was the solution I was looking for! It’s really easy to list items. I particularly enjoy the option to scan the barcode and have PangoBooks fill in details about the book you’re listing. Selling is a breeze as well; once someone purchases from you, the label is available in multiple ways. I am very pleased with this process. I haven’t purchased anything yet, but there are tons of great options, including many new releases and harder to find classic editions of books.

Two big flaws as of 2023. Love Pango. Love both selling and buying books on there. The app has come a long way with the latest updates, still little things here and there that could be better, but to me the biggest annoyance is truly the release of your money, once you’ve sold a book. - it should be just like Poshmark: once it’s delivered, buyer has 3 days to look it over and accept; if they don’t accept, money is released automatically. If they DO accept before then, money should be released immediately. - that means they have inspected the item and are happy with it, so why is my money sitting in the abstract for THAT LONG?? Lol please fix this, guys. Another thing is, you can turn off notification for most things EXCEPT when someone wishlists your books, which is the thing you get notified for the most. Lol Otherwise a great app.

Great new selling app! For BOOKS! 🤩. I love books, and I love selling books on other selling apps, so I figured PangoBooks was right for me! I was right, and it’s such a refreshing take on a selling app. The community of sellers seems fairly nice as well, it feels like a space for people who truly love books to share that love. I will say the app doesn’t look as clean as others. Some issues that I have (that aren’t really issues, just things I’d like to see renovated) are: - the way pictures are uploaded to listings. I’d like to add multiple at the same time - the feed/shop dynamic seems too clunky, and it kinda overwhelms you. - the feeds/shop reload even when you don’t want too. It just gets annoying after a while when you’re just scrolling to see what’s out there. - the ability to add more “bookish” things- like stuff/merch that comes with book subscription boxes? I know these have a decent reselling market on other apps, it would be cool to add that to this app. But that would mean adding another option besides media mail. But what I REALLY like is the shipping aspect. I love how it’s immediately media mail, and you can print labels from the app. I also like how if you do free shipping as a seller, it’s taken out of your earnings, so you don’t have to take it out of your own (in real life) pocket to buy a label. So excited to sell more on PangoBooks!

My newest obsession!. I came across this app via Instagram ad and I’m so glad I did. It’s made book buying so affordable and accessible for me - I love it! It’s also fun selling books. I understand why the low prices and small user base can seem “scammish” to new users, but honestly I’ve never had a bad experience. A lot of users, myself included, simply just want to make room for new books on their shelves while also gifting another person the joy of a new read. With each of my purchases the sellers have been great communicators and fast shippers, not to mention my books have always arrived in fantastic condition. Excited to continue fueling my bookworm hobby!

Great app great prices. Really enjoy using this app to find books on my TBR! A couple suggestions from the user experience perspective. Allow me to search for multiple books at once. Perhaps have a ISO list we can add in the app and then show us relevant book sellers that have multiple of those books. If I select a book show me all the different options of other books that I could buy with it rather than limiting me to just that seller. Have more filtering options after clicking on a hashtag eg by super fast seller. Have tags on the book pictures that can be added for popular book clubs eg Reese’s book club or botm rather than just having the hashtag. If you provide me with an email I can send more suggestions as they come to me. Overall love the app though!!

Great for sellers and buyers alike. I’ve both bought and sold a handful of books over the last month and couldn’t be more pleased. There’s a real sense of community here and being able to see the actual condition of the book you’re buying puts it leagues above EBay and a Bezos-land. I look forward to watching the user base and selection grow. Also, I’d love to see a “saved search” function to notify you when certain books become available. If you’re an avid reader and/or someone with too many books, you need this.

Love it so far. This is a really cool app! As someone who buys many books and never uses an e-reader, I love having a resource to purchase all the books I want in a more affordable way. Users of this app seem to be mostly other readers who keep their books in nice condition. They also list books at very fair prices, unlike eBay. I just hope these things stay as they are after more users hop on. I have a stack of books I’d like to sell so I’ll be trying out the selling feature soon. I do wish there were more search filters and sorting options, and more info on the condition of the books but we are still off to a great start.

Simple Yet Effective!!. I have both bought and sold books on PangoBooks and have been very satisfied! As a buyer, the UI is super easy to understand and find books. Every order is shipped within 3 days, and includes a tracking number. I have one package delayed by usps, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that PangoBooks emailed me as soon as it was delayed to explain the next steps. They are a very attentive team to their members. As a seller, it’s just as easy. I’ve sold multiple books already, and I love how PangoBooks deals with the shipping so that all I have to do is stick the label on the package and drop it off! The fees are 20% of your listing price, which I think is a decent amount for how streamlined the app is. My only suggestion for the developers involves the pending PangoBucks. Currently, PangoBooks holds on to your earnings until 3 days after delivery in order to give the buyer time to file any disputes (which I think is great). I think that if the buyer writes a review for the seller, it should release the funds early. I’ve had buyers leave extremely positive and pleased reviews (that even reference the condition of the book), but I’ve still had to wait for my money until after the dispute period.

Great app but needs stricter rules. The app itself is great you have a half priced books at your fingertips. However I have a complaint when it comes to the seller rules. Once you buy the book the sellers have three days to ship it to you. But, as far as I know of there’s no repercussions if they don’t do so. If the book isn’t sent out you have to request to cancel and wait for the seller to reply to your cancellation. If your an avid reader like me it’s hard to wait. I recommend messaging the sellers first before buying from them. If they don’t respond in a timely fashion they likely won’t send your book out in a timely fashion either. Besides dodgy sellers the app is great and I recommend it!

I like it so far!. I just listed 8 of my books for sale. While I haven’t sold any so far, I am optimistic. I really like the idea of simply putting your book in a padded envelope, printing the shipping label and dropping it off at the post office and getting paid. As a buyer, I love the selection and prices are great. I have already purchased a book I was looking for at great price. Just a suggestion, it would be great if PangoBooks were to incorporate VIDEOS so that sellers can sell faster. Both Poshmark and eBay have this feature in their listings. While this feature wouldn’t suit all listings, it would be great for illustrated books, children’s books, how-to books, etc. A 15 second clip is sufficient. All in all, PangoBooks is something worth exploring.

Great App For Book Lovers!. I have had this app for about 2 weeks and have purchased some really great books from some great sellers at fantastic prices! The app is categorized well by genres and the tracking of purchases is good. I do wish you could purchase from multiple sellers at one time at checkout but each book ordered has its own shipping fee, unless you order multiple books from one seller. It is still my “Go To” app for books because the selection, prices, sellers and the condition of the books are amazing! Very pleased with this app and I’m Sooo glad I found it!

My Newest Obsession. I stumbled upon this app when looking for used books. I’m cheap. Like super cheap. The other sites I was finding used books the total ended up being the same price as a new book after shipping was added. I think because these books are sold by owner there is less markup, and some slight competition to keep prices down so your copy will sell. I haven’t tried selling any books yet, but I’ve promised my husband I would 😉. I recommend this app to everyone who will listen! It is very easy to use, find deals and new shops with like minded readers.

Game changer. I absolutely love this app. I own hundreds of books and sometimes in order to make room for new books I have to get rid of other books. I’ve seen BST groups on Facebook but I never knew how much I should charge for shipping, and on the occasions where I wanted to purchase, I didn’t feel comfortable just sending money to a stranger and hoping that they’d sent me what I paid for. This app takes care of both of those issues for me. It’s super easy to list and sell books as well as purchase. I’d love it if eventually we could sell other book related items like the things that you get in book subscription boxes that you might not want to keep.

It’s meh. If your intention of buying used books is to save money, it’s not that great of an app. Yeah $3 books look great, but when shipping is factored in, it pretty much goes back up to the regular selling price in many cases. I know Thriftbooks sells old library books in many cases, but the books are cheap and the shipping is lower or even free. Also, the amount of people I see trying to resell the books they got for $20 for $200-$300+ on this app is insane. What is wrong with you people. There are some users who are genuinely just trying to give their old books new homes. But a lot of people are just trying to use PangoBooks to make a profit. It just leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Glitchy. New update is really glitchy. Wishlist no longer updates to indicate when a book is sold or when a price is changed. You have to tap each book individually to see if it’s still available or if the price that is displayed is still the price. Pango as a service is really solid. I sold a book that was lost in the mail and they refunded the buyer and still gave me my share of the sale, which was awesome. BUT the book still shows up in my “Pending Earnings” tab…so it shows that I have pending funds that I’ve already received. The new update did fix some of the previous issues I had with the app…the search and navigation are much improved. I just hope the app does keep taking two steps forward and two steps back.

Calling all book lovers!. This app is my newest obsession. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences so far. There’s a great little community of people and I’ve discovered books I’ve never heard of before. It’s not as overly saturated as eBay so it feels like your books have a better chance of selling here. I’ve made a few sales already, had a great experience with a kind seller, and the PangoBooks team helped me sort out a partial refund on a bundle I goofed up on as a seller. My favorite feature has got to be the Twitter-like section. You can let people know you’re running a sale, leave reviews on books, and can put up an ISO of a book you’re looking for! I’ve discovered several new shops from this! Besides some little things that could be added to the app, like refreshing the page and leaving a review for buyers, this app is terrific. I want to share it with everyone but also keep it a secret so it doesn’t get harder to buy and sell on there lol!

A great sustainable choice for the avid reader. While I still like ebooks, there’s nothing like reading from a physical copy. I personally prefer buying secondhand but I can never get the recent releases that way. I love that I can get both recent and classics on the marketplace. The prices are decent and depending on who you purchase from, the books are in amazing condition. The app itself makes it SO easy to sell your own books. I hate having to put descriptions on anything I sell in a marketplace but the scanning feature make it so easy to list as many books as you can. Tracking is also incredibly easy. I love using PangoBooks and it has quickly become by primary place to purchase books.

They’ve made it so easy to buy and sell books. This is like a dream come true. This app has made it possible to easily connect book lovers for buying and selling. A friend told me about it and I’m hooked. They have made this process incredibly easy and a great experience. One thing I would love though is a way to filter a search by seller when searching for a particular book. Some sellers offer a deal if you buy, say $30, all from them. Some of them have a LOT of books to scroll through when I’m only looking for a particular author. I’m so happy to have found this great app!!

Great way to thrift books!. You’re buying real books from real people at a usually discounted price! The quality of the books is typically fantastic unless otherwise specified by the seller. It is difficult to get interaction for your own books after the first few hours as the app works like a social media platform. And my “books you might like” don’t align up with what I picked as my reading interests in the beginning. But as I’ve searched for more books, that’s becoming less of an issue. My only complaint is that I don’t see the point of having a like button as well as a wishlist button. It feels redundant. Overall, this is a great place to thrift books, but if you’re just starting out selling, don’t expect this to become a sustainable business very quickly. I mainly use this app to get rid of old books

Great app. I've had this app for a few weeks now and am liking it a lot so far! I would compare it to Poshmark but for books, which is a really great interface I've been looking for to sell books online. It's super easy to list and price books, and shop for some of your own, much better than Facebook marketplace or some similar options online, and a much more tailored user base and experience.

Amazing and Addicting!!. Update:::: Please show SOLD on wishlist because now I can’t see what I have on there that’s been sold and it’s annoying 😭 I absolutely love this app!!! I just wish there was a way to sort through my wishlist; I would like to sort low price to high price so I can see which books have been sold or even a sold filter. Other than that, I love this app! It’s been a game changer for me!!

Best app for selling books!. Easy to input information for each book and they send a printing label to you. Before, I thought I would have to sell books on Depop or Poshmark and that just seemed complicated since those apps aren’t for books specifically. But this app is a godsend because it’s simple to use, and I can also search up books I want to buy from other people. Everyone’s prices is really affordable too. I love this app so much <3

Best place for used books!. I was formerly a Thrift books devotee, but had mixed results with their books being the quality they were supposed to be (plus those dang Thriftbooks stickers that are STICKY and annoying to remove). I accidentally found PangoBooks last week when looking for books that are never available used on Thriftbooks (Know My Name, Circe, Spinning Silver, An Unkindness of Ghosts, etc). Since then I purchased all four of those books and the three that arrived so far are in BEAUTIFUL condition. Even though one was only marked as "good," it was as near perfect as I could have expected from any used book. I love that you can see photos of the actual book ahead of time to help determine if it's the quality you're expecting. Love helping others clean off their bookshelves, and love the quality and experience so far! Highly recommended!

Amazing platform!. I hardly ever write reviews but I am obsessed with PangoBooks. It is such A great resource for affordable books. I have been selling as well and so far the fees are reasonable! I love being able to browse books that I otherwise may have looked over. The interface is intuitive and fun to navigate. Everything ships media mail so the shipping prices are always affordable. Just a great idea all around!!

Overall great app with a few issues.. The app has a lot of great features, like being able to save tags and view what you’ve sold, listings and discounts all separately. However, there is a lot of lagging especially when uploading. There is also some minor stuff like notifications, not showing up outside the app. They do take a significant portion of the earnings as a platform fee which feels unfair seeing as how they haven’t been upgrading the app frequently. Would recommend they do a survey to see what should be improved for the new year.

Great for selling old books!. I have been on this app for less than a month and have already sold 8 books. Extremely easy to use. Make an account, take a picture of the books, put a prices then just wait. They have a great variety and great prices for all types of books if you’re there to buy too. New titles and great condition. So happy to have stumbled upon it!

Wow! I really like this app!. I started using PangoBooks recently, and I’m so happy I found it. I prefer to buy my books, like most things, pre-loved, in order to reduce environmental impact. PangoBooks has a great selection, and how wonderful that sellers get control over selling their own product! I really like that I can see pictures of the actual, physical book before buying. I rated the app a 4 star rather than 5 as I have a few functionality issues with it while using, such as inability to filter for multiple condition types of a book as well as my results continually filtering back to “relevant” each time I take a look at a book and navigate back to my results page (if like to keep them ordered by price). I would love to see PangoBooks do more with their home page in the app, such as “feature books” or “selling trends”. Overall, a great app that I’m so happy to have found!

A dream for book lovers!. I am loving this app for the ease of which you can sell books for a decent price (unlike at second hand stores where you can get 50c sometimes) and then the really cheap prices to buy books. It’s a great place. I do wish the home page was a little more tuned in to picks I might actually like but I am sure that will get more developed as the platform matures. Thank you Pango books!

Good app, needs a few tweaks. I love the way this app works. It’s a great idea, the one thing I’ve had issues with is changing my profile “bio”. I have no way to edit it when I press edit profile. There should be the little pencil that appears for the other things you want to change but it doesn’t. Not sure if this is something they just left out or if I’m just having a strange problem.

WOW!!!!!. I feel the need to write this review simply because I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was in dire need to make some extra cash and sell my books. Great, needs slight tweaking!. Absolutely loving this so far, just stumbled upon this app and so glad that I did. It’s for book lovers, so you know books are coming from a good home and going to a good home. I had a great experience with my first purchase on here and will definitely be listing some of my own here soon! I know there’s a couple little glitches with things like the wishlist on the app, but other than that, it’s great!!

Obsessed!!. Seriously this app is gonna be a lifesaver as I prefer to buy used books anyway! I use poshmark for clothing and just before I found the app I thought “we need one for books!” And when I discovered it existed it didn’t disappoint! I love the search features and I love how the shopping bag sorts the books into different sellers so you can visualize getting the most most bang for your buck. Can’t wait to keep shopping and selling!!

Patience is key!. Patience is key definitely in this app, whether you’re selling or buying. This app mainly was for me to sell my own books. I realized that takes some time since only popular ones pop up on the main screen. But as I continued searching on, I found some books for amazing prices. My books are still waiting to be loved in a new home but no worries to that. I’ve already made 3 purchases and could not be more happier. This app is amazing and helpful to book lovers.

Love it!. I love this app, it’s perfect for buying and selling used books. Process is very easy for both. I had to knock a star off for the technical side. There are a lot of glitches I’ve notice over the last week I’ve had the app. Sometimes when I’m scrolling the list just gets stuck and keeps showing the same books without continuing down the list. The search feature is also glitchy when you are searching books one after another. Overall I am happy so I will continue to use, just some feedback!

Excellent App. I’m so happy to have found this App! I’m moving soon and desperately needed to sell some of my books. I thought I’d be hauling them to local book stores for days. Instead, I listed them with PangoBooks and I’ve already sold 4 books in 3 days. The app is super easy to use, I’m an older lady and sometimes these things are complicated! I love the app, love my experience so far and highly recommend this platform!

So easy to use and great selection & prices. I was really impressed with the selection and ease using this app. Being able to add to wish list is great when browsing. I also really like that you can see the other items for sale from the sellers and the icons showing sales and if the book is hardcover are super helpful. The book I ordered is truly “like new” condition. Very pleased with process and quality.

Fun and easy way to start selling. I’ve been selling on PangoBooks for a few months now and I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s a super user friendly way to get into selling books online. They everything really simple for the seller, from listing your books to shipping them. There have been a few technical glitches here and there, but those are always improving.

Best Discount App I’ve Ever Used. I was a little wary at first when I saw the prices, but the quality, shipping time, and service is so much better than I would have thought. They keep you updated on the shipping and delivery so we’ll, and numerous orders of mine have come with little notes and thank-you’s; even the sellers have been amazing! Have recommended this app to all my fellow bookworms, and will continue to do so ☺️

Wonderful costumer service. I end up have a few issue with the shipping process, which was completely my fault. I ended up paying for shipping out my own pock, instead of the shipping that was payed for by the buyer. I email them about the issue and one of there wonderful people reached out to me about the problem. They updated all the info and gave me a refund. (thank you so much Sarah you where such a sweat heart)

Great shopping experience, confusing update. I’ve always had a great shopping experience on PangoBooks & will continue using the app, but I don’t understand why, in the new update, they decided to take out the icons on the bottom of the image that tell you whether the book is a hardcover or if the shop is having a sale or offers free shipping. That made it so much easier to choose what listings to look at. Now I have to go listing by listing to see which shops are offering sales/free shipping. That is so annoying! So confused as to why they went for making our lives easier to more complicated?

Buyer has the power. Update: After multiple contacts I was compensated for my lost book. I was loving this app. Selling of books to make space for new ones. However. I recently sold a book and the buyer refused payment. They claimed they were returning the book. The book was shipped nearly a month back. I have not received payment or my book. Pangbooks keeps telling me they will remind them again? Unsure if I am comfortable sending more books out if payment is tentative. Sales should be final if they are this lax on returns.

This app is amazing!. I’ve already sold a book within 24 hours of starting my account. I love it 20 times more than eBay, you get views so quickly and the shipping is reasonable and paid for. You have a chance to be creative with your pictures and they transcribe the whole description of the book you’re selling, for you. It’s just a beautiful and easy app to use, very organized and takes all the work out of it for you. I’m very happy with it!! :)

I love PangoBooks. I have been using PangoBooks to buy and sell for about 2 weeks. It is super simple to sell books—you post your books in a few easy steps, print a pre-paid label when you sell a book, and pop it in the mail. If I can do it, anyone can! I’ve also been happy with the books I’ve purchased. They have arrived quickly and in the condition reported by the seller. PangoBooks has taken the guess work out of the process on both ends.

Book Paradise!. I’ve been using PangoBooks for around six months now as a consumer and a seller. As a consumer, I love that you can find books that are classics, new and noteworthy, and everything in between! There’s truly something for everyone at an affordable price! As a seller, I love that the app walks you through the process and that it’s so simple. A few pictures, some hashtags or a description, set your price - and sell your book!

Great App So Far. So excited for this app…it’s like thrifting for books from home! The only thing I would improve is more people selling books for more options and to find specific editions and books I’m looking for. Can’t wait to sell some books myself at some point. Only other feedback is it’s a bit confusing that you can wish list and heart a book…maybe I’m missing something but that still doesn’t make sense to me I only need one or the other option.

Selling is ok but buy with caution. Many of the sellers don’t disclose flaws in the books (I got a book that had writing in it) and they won’t post more than one picture. I sell on here too and it’s crazy how many sellers don’t do these basic things. The app itself is crashing for me right now but besides that it pays well. If you just want to get rid of old books for a small profit this is the app for you. If you want to buy on here do so with caution, especially since certain books are priced higher on here than on eBay.

Great Book Selling/Buying App!. I have been searching for apps or websites to buy and sell used books for a while now, and this is by far the best one I’ve found! It’s super simple to use, you can easily search books and add them to your wishlist or buy them right on the spot. I love the layout as a buyer, and the ease of listing books as a seller is wonderful! Just scan the barcode and it fills in all the pertinent information rather than typing it all up!

Great app. For years I collected books that I had read. I always looked for a place to sell them, but it was nearly impossible. Used books stores give you nothing, other online pages don’t pay you either. The overhead was far too much in those places. PangoBooks is a super easy and user friendly app that makes buying and selling your used books a snap. As I write this review, the app is growing. The more users, the more it is spread around, the bigger and better availability of books for us to enjoy.

Wonderful app!. PangoBooks is awesome. It’s a great way to sell books you no longer want in your collection or buy books for way cheaper than the market price! I use it all the time to sell and buy books, and the process is very easy. I’ve never had any issues with buyers or sellers. There are a few app layout problems that I personally would change, but they don’t affect functionality.

Amazing. I got back into reading last month and quickly learned that book buying was a completely different hobby than the actual book reading! PangoBooks has completely saved my wallet! The quality of my purchases has been amazing and the sellers are very professional and reliable. It’s a good app. It’s simple to list your books and adjust prices if needed. You don’t pay for shipping and they only take a small service fee out of your sales. It’s simple to get information on how to ship. It also allows you to make wishlist and there’s some great prices on the books. It’s easy to browse and it will recommend other books based on what you have added to your wishlist. I recommend giving this app a chance. It’s free to have and to list books.

Poshmark for Books. I saw an add for this on Instagram and decided to give it a try. I use poshmark a lot to buy and sell clothing and I love it. This app is exactly like it but for books. The prices are great and the shipping isn’t insane either. I can’t believe no one made this app earlier. Such a good idea! Books are so expensive especially now that prices of everything is up 10% or more, so to be able to buy used books for cheap is amazing. I definitely recommend this app to any reader.

So easy to use. I love how simple and easy it is to make a listing for the books you wanna sell. It takes seconds to make a quick listing! I also admire how a seller has to wait until shipment/ delivery has been confirmed before they can claim their earnings. It would make me feel more secure as a buyer. As a seller, I appreciate being emailed a shipping label. It makes it so much easier! Overall a great app, my only complaint is that sometimes the app lags a bit here and there, but it’s not a big deal for me.

Changed For the Better. I left a bad review in the past because of errors constantly. This app is now operating perfectly and every update improves by leaps and bounds. The interface is getting better. The team is responsive and reasonable. Most importantly, there are people using the app! Both buyers and sellers. Good prices, good practices, good promotions and good implementations of changes when necessary. Thanks to the Pango team for making this app and congratulations on having one of the best ways to sell books!

No way to delete account. I hate it when apps don’t allow you to browse first before deciding to create an account. But there it was.. the forceful “create an account”, just to see what the availability is on the app. So i did create one and then I’ll delete it later if I don’t care for the app. I’m not too impressed with the items, prices and there is no way to bid on anything if you think the price is too high (there was a book listed for $3 below original listing price with a $3.75 shipping price, the math doesn’t add up there). So, as I always do, I go and delete my account because I don’t like my information just floating out there on the internet. But, there is NO option WHATSOEVER to delete the account. I went to FAQ, yet there’s no information about how to go about deleting your account. No email address given to ask for account deletion. Nothing, nada, none. Not only do they force you to create one, you can’t even delete it. Download at your own risk.

New update missing some key items?. Love pangobooks and have been using it for a long time. The new update happened today, and I like the new format, but one of the key features I liked to use when searching for books is “newly listed,” “price high to low,” and “price low to high.” It seems there is now no way to filter your searches, and now I’m not sure how they are arranged when you search. Please reinstate a filter button so we can narrow down our results!

User Friendly and Very Easy to Sell Books. Super easy to use! I was worried about it being complicated or hard to navigate but it’s very user friendly. They guide you through every step and even send you an itemized list of directions for what to do next. There is a “seller’s fee” deducted but it’s still much better than other options. I’m so glad I found it so I can clear up some shelf space and make a few dollars!

Smooth transactions. I've had the app for a few days and I've made two purchases. The transactions have been so easy and the prices are incredible. I had to contact customer service because one of the books was not showing up under "my purchases." I contacted them thinking I wouldn't hear back from anyone but to my surprise someone emailed me about my concern and linked the transaction so it would appear in my account.

Found this app through an Instagram app…I like and works but needs work!. I was looking for an app to declutter my bookshelf and I am so happy that I’m able to do so with this app. My only problem is anytime I’m trying to post a photo or try to create a new listing there is always with me a photo from the previous posting that pops up and I really don’t like that but overall this app works well and I can’t say that it is bad but can use some work from fixing the glitches that needs to be worked on. 4/5 stars!

User friendly, great platform. Really easy to use , shipping cost is calculated and you don’t have to do anything extra to ship your products. Just print a shipping label and throw it in a USPS box. This detail makes it so easy to use and easy to get the books shipped right away There are also SO MANY book options and often the ones I am looking for are on here. This is such a great platform to sell books so they can be read and enjoyed by someone else.

Great place to buy and sell your books!. Just this last week-newbie, I wanted to post my review here. I have purchased a book super cheap in brand new condition here. Also sold one of my books which was super easy just list and wait for a buyer then print the prepaid label, package, and ship which is dropping off at my post office. They handle the money, I got paid right away after buyer accepted the package. Blessings to everyone who uses the app, if you are like me and enjoy books-must do it!

As an avid reader with tons of books and a need for some extra cash, I was recommend by a fellow friend to get Pongobooks. I’ve only been on the app for a week and have already sold 6 books. It’s super easy to ship and you actually can make decent money. Can’t wait to see how much more I can earn!

Some Upload Issues for Sellers. I love the app as a buyer, first off. You can find cheaper books than places like ThriftBooks or DiscoverBooks or eBay, and you're buying direct from booklovers. This really is the Poshmark for Books. As a seller, though, the app has a single, glaring and FRUSTRATING problem: when you go to upload more than one photo, it will often replace those photos with the same picture, at random, five different times. It's taken me multiple edits on the listing to get the photos to show the right ones. It's so annoying that it's almost a deterrent to listing more books, and I now understand why the majority of Sellers only show the front cover. (I am using iOS 15.4.1 with the latest PB update.) Everything else is a breeze. It snapshots the ISBN (if available) and auto fills the most pertinent info, including the weight, leaving the guesswork out of shipping. Printing labels is a snap and they are compatible with thermal label printers. All you need are packing supplies and you're good to go!

I’m definitely going to get into a ton of trouble. One of my best book buddies introduced me to this app and all I know is that I will definitely get into a ton of trouble buying all the books at my fingertips. Of the few vendors I’ve dealt with so far, service was prompt and the book in great shape. The company also monitors your purchases and keeps you in the loop about the tracking and notifies you on your order progress. Overall great app if you’re a book dragon and looking to add to your hoard.📚 🐉

Amazing! Easiest listing I’ve ever made!. Not only does this app have great menuing and interface, the listing is a piece of cake! Not sure about this site. Bad experience with my first orders! Seller was on vacation so my book never shipped, nor did she respond to my repeated messages and cancellation request. I final messaged Pango and had to wait 10 days to get my refund! Sellers don’t ship very fast or package their books very well. I had my second order arrive with packing tape residue melted onto the top of my book because she had shoved my book into an envelope that was too small. Frustrating to say the least!

Easy to Use; Fills Market Void. This app has filled a void that the app marketplaces lacked. A place where book lovers can unite and sell books they have read. I love reading and owning books and have wished for a convenient and safe place to sell and shop for used books. This app is great for book lovers to make a few bucks to buy more books! They also have buyer protection if someone fails to ship your order! Simple to use and the customer service is great!
