Enjoy the app except for one thing... I'm so tired of having to put my password in for FiOS almost every time I go to stream love TV! If I go back to it 'live' same day I usually am good, but every day I have to put my password and user name in, there should be an option to save it. Other than this issue I find using it to be pretty easy and I like how quickly all of the series are updated with new shows quickly after airing. I have to wait until 8pm eastern for another network to put my soap up, I can always watch Young and the Restless and bold and the Beautiful by about 6pm eastern on this app. I do wish you would put all of the old episodes of Guiding Light and As The World Turns online somewhere too, miss those soaps.

Great app.. Sometimes, I am not able to watch my favorite shows in time due to doing other things, with this amazing app I can watch whenever , wherever.I really enjoy Price Is Right and now, I can watch it and just sit back and relax. If you want to watch your shows, or even try to watch ones you have never seen, get this app, I promise you will enjoy it. But I do not like how many ads I get while watching something, it’s very inconvenient but otherwise good app.

CBS Great!. I’ve been watching CVS for as long as I can remember since I was young this is one of the best besides ABC of course my daughter works there lol and this has I love the shows all the shows that you have my favorites. Of course you just have clarity everything is just perfect. I can’t continue to describe you know how I have been always enjoying with my father when I was little and my stepmother and my sisters and brothers in South Jersey CBS Please keep doing what you’re doing; diversity and inclusion 👍🏽. True to size - fits as expected. Great app, love the ability to see the series and the short descriptions are helpful. The most recent shows tops the list, yet the app also keeps your place, so that you can come back and watch later. No glitches. Highly recommend. I have not upgraded for Paramount Plus - there are lots of good shows on this version.

Love Jane P. CBS Sunday Morning!. I have enjoyed watching this show throughout the years growing up. The one thing I look forward too each Sunday morning is a cup of coffee and turning this show on. Its not only the information presented but the tone in which its presented. It’s obvious the producers have attempted to capture many view points but opportunities as well to experience another view point including the end with an appreciation of nature. Thank you for simply taking the time!

Recent issues. I have not had many problems with watching CBS on my iPad except for the last 4 episodes of the Y&R not being closed-captioned (CC) .What the heck is up with that?! I checked the CC feature, clicked off/on the English text version and deleted and re-added the CBS app all to no avail - also shut down the iPad and restarted it, and still NADA! Now I am relying on reading the Soap Recaps to get caught up with recent events. This is very frustrating and I hope techie will look into it and get the issue resolved. Thank you.

Do not download! Fatal errors every time you use it.. Worst streaming app I’ve ever had. You spend 40 min watching a show and get a fatal error before the end of the show. Missing out on the end of every show every time I use the app. I send an email describing the problem only to get told to…get this…force close the app and reboot. As of I didn’t try that 263 times myself. Then I get told to call an 800 number, which is to Paramount Plus. Not CBS. Therefore, they can’t help fix any fatal errors. So basically, you have to live with watching a show only to get fatal errors before the end with no resolution or ways to fix it. (And no it’s not my brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max not my perfectly running and setup cable service. App is up to date). Doesn’t happen with any other streaming service or app. App has obvious bugs they know about but won’t fix. Update: Dear developer, fix the bugs in your app instead of sending the same form email to users having trouble. If all these people are having the same issue, logic should tell you that it’s YOU! Your app! Not the users. Sending the same email asking people to force close, turn on location services and reboot isn’t going to fix your buggy app.

Why why why. Paramount plus offers way too much I don’t like and I refuse to watch, this cbs app is cbs only and available with a cable tv subscription lol through your cable company. CBS is so backwards. Why not make this app CBS+ allowing individual subscriptions and keep paramount with the rest or at least offer a separate subscription for cbs only viewers without the nonsense of the paramount app the interface is horrible and it’s just overwhelming so I cancel. I’ll wait until they wake up and see hey we have this app for cbs lovers who only want to subscribe to this app and then allow us. Advertisers beware cbs is not using all revenue streams for your advantage.

Dare not rewind or forward. Or you’ll be forced to sit thru 6 ads AGAIN. I understand content has to be supported by either subscribing or watching ads. There has to be a finite number of ads required to support an episode. Either the developers are lazy or management dumb - if the app looses focus (call comes, some one at door you pause, you want to take a leak, just rewind and watch the last 50’sec) it will replay ALL the adds, doesn’t matter if it just did this a minute before or 10 times in last 30 mins. Its horrible - might as well take away the free option - at-least folks who can’t afford would be spared the pain!

Too many glitches. When casting the video to my tv from my phone, it constantly glitches and closes the app. When you reopen the app, it starts you from the beginning of the episode instead of where you left off. Normally these glitches happen during commercials. You end up having to watch all the commercials again in order to fast forward to where you left off and sometimes, lots of times, it glitches again and starts you over. It’s extremely frustrating to the point where I give up trying to cast it to the tv.

Worst program ever!!!. In a progression extending over many months the program has deteriorated to the point where a tv provider sign in is required for EVERY episode of every program I try to view. Most times even that process needs to be successfully completed two or three times to work. This situation always happens when going from one program to another (SWAT to 60 Minutes for example.). Now the process must be done, sometimes repeatedly, for episodes of the same program (60 Minutes to 60 Minutes.) Signing in for a single episode can now take up to 5+ minutes or sometimes is not successful at all. Best of all in requesting support from the application page I was informed “Please be aware that due to a high volume of email, we're unable to provide a response, but do appreciate you taking the time to contact us.” How odd that I don’t appreciate the time they didn’t take to contact/help me. This application should be removed.

Not Enough News. On weekday mirnings, I’ve always favored CBS mornings with Nora O’Donnell and crew, and now Gayle King (love her!) and crew, because the focus was always the news with a few minutes of more lighthearted novelties. There’s always been too much nonsense with NBC and for some reason ABC’s GMA never appealed to me. But for several months now, on CBS, there is WAAAY too much sports! Too many pieces about sports and too much chit chat about sports. There are many sports networks if that’s what people want. And at times, too many biographical pieces. It feels as if the news is only the first 20 minutes of a 2 hour show. I’m very disappointed in the direction this show has taken. It used to be the far superior show of the 3 major networks in the NY area. Not crazy about that intro music either. The Saturday AM show is a winner. I don’t mind the shorter news slot on the weekend along with the wide variety of interesting segments and musical presentations at the end. But please go back to more/more in-depth news Monday through Friday.

2 suggestions. 1) can you add back the name of the show in the latest episodes views. It only shows the episode number and title. I have to look at the picture in an attempt to determine the show 2) Please please please add the ability to resume an episode. If you have to pause and return at a later time it takes you to the beginning of the episode and then you have to scroll forward and attempt to find where u left off

Kids say the darndest things. I remember growing up with Arthur Godfrey show and watching it every time it was on never missed an episode and I’ll tell you what these are updated and they are still great because kids do say the darndest things we raised eight of them that’s kids and we love everyone of them and now they’re all old enough to have their own families and raise their own children so shows great keep it on

No sound or no picture. Watched first 2 episodes of Ghost with no problem clicking the next episode button at the end of the show on the bottom of the screen. The third episode started but had no picture just sound. So I went back to the main menu and chose the third episode from the main menu and it started, but this time had the picture but no sound. I had to closed the APP, restarted the APP, selected the episode I wanted to watch to get both sound and picture. Now if I want to watch an episode I have to close the APP and restart every time I want to watch a new episode.

Doesn’t deserve a 1 star. This is the absolute worst app I’ve ever used to stream a show. It can’t even steam a show for more than 5 seconds without freezing up. It takes 5 minutes to even start up a show and by that time I’m already over trying it and i just give up. I haven’t even been able to stream my show because it refuses to load. I have even tried to stream from my phone instead of Apple TV and it works better but then just freezes and quits working whenever it wants. I’m honestly baffled that this app exists and that it has a 4 star rating. It’s completely useless.

Now you are talking!. Hey thanks CBS I had so much frustration watching all my favorite half hour comedies with your old set-up. They would cut off during the show 3 or 4 times in a half hour and the week long wait to even watch episodes. Now you make me feel like a first class citizen with this new app. Those issues have disappeared and I am lovin it-especially thankful you have kept it free for a not so rich first class citizen like me! THANK YOU

CBS Mornings. I did enjoy this program in the past when Norah O’Donnell, Anthony Mason and Charlie Rose. Now we have Gayle King - can someone tell the woman to be quiet, to stop telling everyone that Oprah is her best friend (probable reason for her employment) and constantly expressing personal opinions on newsworthy stories (i.e., she just loves Harry and Meghan). What happened to unbiased reporting and professionalism. All three of the hosts are not journalists. They constantly talk together and no one can understand anything being said. How the mighty CBS News has fallen .

All other entertainment apps save my place in a show. It is so frustrating to have to get rebooted back to the beginning on a show, have to watch more ads to restart the show, and then have to watch even more ads when I scroll to 28 minutes, which is where I left off. This is the worst app of any of the entertainment apps I use. I don’t have to sign in on the free NBC app. If I’m on the same device, it keep track on my place in the show. With this CBS app, I start watching something in the morning, and when I go back to it after work, I have to start all over and rewatch all the ads I watched earlier that day.

Error error error on every show. I get so annoyed with this app. My favorite shows are streamed here and I am now getting fatal errors every time I try to play a show. One commercial, fatal error. I am pretty sure I have watched the t-mobile commercial enough times to get a free paramount plus account. I have gone to your terribly unhelpful web site to determine if its me or you. Since I had no issue streaming yesterday and I have the latest version of the app, Im going to call it a you thing. I get frustrated that even with a log in I have to re watch 5 commercials that I have already seen because the app doesn't remember where I left off of a show. Get it together. These issues with this app is one of the main reasons I havent lept to paramount plus. Im not paying to deal with these same issues.

CBS has been my go to station for my favorite. Shows since 1973. Y&R SWAT with Shemar Moore Seasons 1-7 My favorite Action Drama Series. I hate to see it end with just 13 episodes instead of 22/23. I’m sure their ratings have increased substantially for each season and episode. Some people are on fixed incomes and can’t afford streaming on Paramount , etc. Blue Bloods FBI with Missy, Zeeki Zaki, Alana, etc. Inside Edition with Deborah Norville. If you could just get a Nexstar to agree with Directv U-verse I wouldn’t be watching my shows on my iPhone and iPad everyday. CSI shows especially Miami Bold and the Beautiful

You had one job.... The Apple TV version of this app lets you watch live TV and on-demand shows... once you sign in with your cable provider login. This is a nice feature, but has a glaring flaw — you have to sign in with a multi-step process every single time you use the app. Every single tome. (The NBC and ABC apps have the same feature, but they keep you logged in for months on end before requiring a new login.) I think this is a bug. It’s not supposed to work this way. But when I alerted the developers they had no idea how to fix it. Definitely ruins the user experience of an otherwise decent app.

What happened to CBS mornings?. After the 2012 reincarnation of the show we switched to CBS after having been long time fans of NBC’s Today show that had slowly evolved into almost pure entertainment. The then new format led by the formidable Nora O’Donnell, was a well balanced broadcast with real journalists speaking in normal voices, and the set was tastefully crafted to look welcoming, and not like the set of a kids’ show. The welcome and long missing regular inclusion of international news, intelligently delivered political analysis, and carefully picked lighter news graduated the program to be among the world leaders of morning news broadcasts. Regrettably, many of the best journalists have slowly been moved to other shows or left, and the show’s creators have chipped away at the format, culminating with the revamp of the show on September 6, 2021, when even the set design is screaming at you. For now, we will take a rest from the show and look elsewhere for meaningful content and a less contrived delivery.

Ads constantly freeze during AirPlay. Ads constantly freeze during AirPlay and there’s no easy way to fix it. This thing is so buggy. And when you restart, you’re forced to watch all the ads over again, as the app doesnt remember either where you left off or that you’ve already watched ads within the last 30s. It’s obnoxious. The developer/customer service team clearly didn’t read this review before pasting in their canned response. I’m talking about Apple AirPlay not Google Chromecast, and the devices are obviously on the same network or it wouldn’t play at all. It’s a problem with the ads freezing, which many others have complained about in reviews. Your response is embarrassing. Dropping from 2 stars to 1.

Very disappointing episode. I’ve watched this soap opera for as long as I can remember. I’m so disappointed in the show that aired of Tara being arrested for fraud. Everyone makes mistakes. I know it’s just a soap opera but it sends the message that a person no matter what their financial status, not letting a mother have contact with their child sends a horrible message to the public audience that this is all ok & people with money can buy their way into taking a child away from its mother. If it was drugs or abuse I can totally relate. Same on you producers.

Price is right. One of the most best entertaining shows on TV. The host, Drew Carey, is such a gentleman! And Jewish we call him a Mench. I feel so sorry when someone doesn’t get it. Much different than Bob Barker who was such a womanizer. I have been watching this show since I’m a little girl and I love it. Everyone knows not to call me between 11 to 12 when my show is on. I wish I could be a contestant on the show. Best wishes for continued success

Don’t even waste your time trying to screen share from your phone to your tv. Thinking about watching a show you missed the day before so you try streaming it to your tv? Well most likely it’s not gonna work and the cbs will bug out on you. Every week my family and I love staying caught up with the show Survivor but have busy schedules so we usually have to wait a day or two after to watch it so we make food get all ready and we will get about 15 minutes in and the ads will freeze and it’s basically impossible to make it change or go back so then we have to restart the episode and when we try to skip forward it will just do the same thing and freeze, if we get lucky the ads will just play through if we watch through it, another thing we have the risk of is the episode throwing us back 10 minutes from where we were in the episode and then making us rewatch the ads we just watched if we try to skip toward to the place we were at in the episode ended and risking them freezing on us again. The app is buggy and just feel like it’s some scam to gain money from the ads it makes you rewatch when you try to watch one simple episode.

WON’T EVEN INSTALL/OPEN ON ROKU, COMPLETE S-SHOW LOL. [UPDATE 10/22: you can install but literally can’t open the app, it just closes so you can’t even get to the menu. On both my TCL and Roku+. The ONLY app that has consistently done so on Roku. LOL!] Used to watch CBS This Morning every morning. Stopped a half yr ago b/c on Roku you literally had to uninstall, reinstall and sign in to your tv provider on the app EVERY DAY or you couldn’t watch live tv. Didn’t do that obviously, stopped watching entirely. Just gave it a try again and it literally won’t install - when you get to the app and press install it just closes lol. This has never happened on any app I can remember just CBS. This is on BOTH my TCL R615 and my Roku + on my Samsung so it’s not the TV or device. Oh, and on iPhone - the only place where it usually works half the time - the live feed becomes inaccessible b/c I get a “Concurrent Streams Fatal Error” message, apparently if just one person else on the account even on the cable box is watching you can’t watch either, something that NEVER happens on NBC/ABC haha. SUCH A COMPLETE S-SHOW OF AN APP. You guys lost a viewer for life. Well, I might try again in a year or 2. Worst functional streaming app, and that’s saying A LOT

Painful to use. This app was horrible. Attempted to watch Oprah interview with Harry and Megan. Took five attempts to get the show to start. Made the mistake of pausing it 15 seconds in. This required a reboot of the phone and a few more tries to get the show started again. Tried to rewind 30 seconds when I was 20 minutes into the show. This required another restart of the app and sitting through a bunch of commercials to get back to where I started. About 40 minutes in, it stopped for no apparent reason, and I had to get out of the app again, restart a few more times, watch a new set of commercials, fast forward. Oops, overshot and need to rewind a few minutes. That’s gonna cost me. Forced watching of more commercials and then it hangs and won’t restart. At that point, I’m out and the app is removed from my phone.

It doesn’t “remember” your place… starts over and rewatch SO MANY ads 👎🏼. App would have five stars if it remembered how far you were through the program - so you didn’t have to rewatch ALL the ads too! As it is, if you have to pause the app (answer the phone, check a text, etc), you might find the app restarts and you get to restart your show (and ads) from the beginning. If the app remembered your place (as it used to?) you could just jump back - but no. Rewatch the opening ads (short, granted), then scan to where you were and REwatch maaany more ads. I GET they need to use ads, but the fact I’ve REwatched an *additional* 15 mins of ads and am still only halfway though the show makes me want to uninstall (again).

Big pain. First you have to get this app to recognize your TV provider. Not easy. Not automatic. Could these gigantic companies not figure it out? Then the next day, assuming you got in the previous day, you will have to go through it ALL again AND sign in AGAIN. Yes same house, phone, provider…? But that is not as easy as you might think. Or does not just sign in. No it has to do some backend hand shakes that take forever and frequently fail. Oh and when in, the episode of whatever you were watching won’t pick up where you left off. You have to start over and fast forward 10 seconds at a time. I swear when an app is this bad I think it is some sort of practical joke. And how does this app have any 5 star reviews? Hmmm. I am sure those are all real people. Hey CBS…don’t let an app ruin your brand and make people give up on the content.

The Bold And The Beautiful. I am very annoyed with the scenes regarding Brook and Deacon which is used for a child to disclose her disloyalty in her marriage. Yes the child saw an act taking place; but to find out whatever they had to push and get more information they used an innocent child. In today’s lifestyle we should leave children with there innocent mindset. Instead the adults are using our deception to prove and destroy a home and The marriage which can affect and destroy Douglas who Love this grandmother (Brook). It’s very hard to undo what the child saw and now it’s undo all because grown ups have a mischievous goal to get there parents back Together. Why can’t the world try to have love and care for each other; the person who gave Brook alcohol may never be found out and Adults who Think they are doing good. We should be trying to show your viewers how important marriage is Especially for children not destructive? Sorry but this whole scenes made me very upset and to help me mentally I will have to withdraw myself fro Watching your show and if I feel this way Maybe you have other viewers who feel the same! Emotional upset. Maybe if you had a survey has to what viewers feel or enjoy the daily live show.

UI Is Terrible. So, let’s say I want to watch a series with sequential episodes. The kinds of series that run on… let’s say, CBS. And now let’s say I fall behind a week on this series. You know, because I’m a human in 2021. Well, if I log back into the CBS app a week later to pick up my show, the show link under “Keep Watching” takes me to the most recent episode, not the one I was last watching. I now have to search for the show, navigate to the episode menu, and then select the episode I had in progress. How can it be that every other streaming platform has figured out “pick up where you left off” EXCEPT for CBS and Paramount+? How can it be that ViacomCBS’ app developers just looked at this basic function of streaming (and the watchlist — come on, people, how do you leave off a watchlist??) and just said, “nah”? Is this like a “Producers” scheme? Is someone trying to make this fail so they can walk off with the money?

NBC app is much better. There’s several issues I have with the CBS app. First of all why can’t we go back more than 5 days without subscribing to the CBS All Access pkg like we can on the NBC app we can go back for weeks & it’s all free. Also on the CBS app I wish we had the option to view it by holding the phone either direction. And one last issue.... it would be nice to be able to still view what I’m watching if I swipe out of the app so if I want to do other things on my phone while watching the program it would be nice to be able to do so. With the NBC app we can do all these things.

Great App. I have been using the CBS app for years. I love the app and will continue to use it. I typically have no complaints with your app but recently I have disappointments with the updates. Is it possible to put the name of the show back on your homepage of the app? I go by the days and only watch certain things so if the name is not showing then I have to open it to see what the name of the show is. Is it possible to separate the daytime and prime time shows so it isn’t as many to go through? Again I love your app and will continue to watch!

Updates. I’m very disappointed! I’ve been watching shows on CBS like NCIS, FBI, SWAT,MC GYVER, MAGNUM PI, BLUE BLOODS for many years now I can’t upload because it requires a newer version of Apple IOS. I’m a senior citizen who can’t afford new Apple equipment every year. I’m also currently on leave due to my injuries, so all I have is to watch my favorite shows on my iPad which couldn’t be upgraded to an IOS 13. It’s hard to watch shows on a phone. Why does it have to be upgraded to a newer IOS version?

Paramount + vs CBS App. I had CBS All Access for 5 years and loved it. I liked The Good Fight and other originals. However since the switch to Paramount +, I’ve had a hard time getting shows to load or play. It’s happened more times then not. Why pay for something that doesn’t work. I’m seriously contemplating if) when I’ll drop Paramount +. I love watching NCIS original and New Orleans, Mom, and really like The equalizer. The CBS app allows me to do just that! Thank You CBS App!

Absolute crap.. It doesn’t matter if it’s the CBS, CBS News, CBS All Access or Paramount Plus apps, I have spent almost three years with Apple and CBS trying to work out the endless myriad of bugs in CBS apps especially with respect to Apple TV. Apple and CBS were both very fast to blame each other but seemingly refuse to clean up the problems despite countless video recordings, screen shots, screen sharing, diagnostic tests, log submission and on and on and on. And then I get a developer response asking me to take the same steps I have over and over and over again. What part of “…I have spent almost three years with Apple and CBS…” do they not understand? This is corporate arrogance at an unforgivable level.

Too many commercials!. I tried watching a show. It got halfway through and the app had a “Fatal Error”. I had to start the show over. After watching the intro commercial again I tried to fast forward to where I had left off and it made me watch 6 commercials then resumed the show for 30 seconds and then another commercial followed by another Fatal Error. Restarted the phone, restarted the app, restarted the show, fast forward to a little past halfway, watched the 6 commercials, saw that I had gone too far forward so I backed up a few minutes and got 5 more commercials! I quit!

Ads always crash. If CBS insists on an abundance of ads for every show, the very least they could do is insure that they will play without crashing or locking up. Every group of ads locks up, regardless of the internet speed servicing the stream. It requires disconnecting and reconnecting the stream. At least there is one thing that has been added that eases the frustration a little and that is it finally remembers where the show last crashed. Instead of starting from the very beginning. You still get to watch and re-watch ads. It takes about 2 hours, if lucky, to watch a 1 hour (really about 40 minute, minus ads) show.

Sunday Morning shows on CBS. There are 3 my wife and I make sure not to miss regardless where we are. The first, “Sunday Morning” keeps are a-tuned to human elements of life and nature - doing it to perfection - from week to week. Hats off to weekly choices, they are always winners in our minds AND hearts. The two that follow are different type of winners for both of us. Being the needed grandparents, we greatly appreciate their quick updates on the time critical (most often political) events dialoging with most relevant people on a topic at hand. Thank you CBS!

Fatal Error - Downloading This App. It's always jarring to have some notification pop up on your screen in the middle of something you're doing – interrupting you, startling you, forcing you out of what you were doing to deal with whatever message has frozen your whole system to make itself known. For users of Apple devices, this jolting horror is an everyday occurrence, usually happening multiple times a day. "Space is low", "new iOS ready for you", whatever. It never is something urgent enough to have to deal with right away, but it has to be dealt with right away because it just interrupted you out of the flow and enjoyment of whatever you were doing. That's the price for using any Apple device. But just imagine — instead of saying "Space is low", the message says "FATAL ERROR. You have exceeded the maximum number of video streams." Fatal? In the middle of an app purely designed for entertainment ? Because if you're using the CBS app, that's what you're watching it for. In the middle of am excellent episode of "Bull", right at the most dramatic and touching moments, I was interrupted FOUR TIMES with the "FATAL UPDATE" message, freezing the show and forcing me to back out and simply hit play again. Fatal?? Not so much. Infuriating?? You bet!! And BTW, I was interrupted while writing this review with "Software Update - New iOS ready", freezing me yet again for maybe the 10th time today. CBS and Apple. What a winning combination!!!!

New updates are excellent. Had deleted it months ago because of issues. I love that I can fwd through some parts. Occasionally I watch shows live but have to leave it, and hate using cable providers that will not let me skip through parts. Or the bloody, trauma inducing parts. Thankfully they realize many people may have triggers. Do not mind if commercial as long as I can skip through some parts of show.

Still doesn’t work. This app works for everything until it’s time to watch football. “Fatal error” message every year for the last 4 years AT LEAST. What does “fatal error” even mean?? Who died?? Then they try to respond to the negative reviews with a basic template response with a number to call. The number is bogus just like this app. It’s not my internet, it’s not my router or anything else. Every other app on my Apple TV and phone works, everything else within the CBS app works. Just not live TV when it’s time to watch a football game. I don’t know how or why this app has such high reviews I guess those people aren’t watching football. Whatever CBS. Hire some new people or something. It’s 2022 how hard can it be to maintain an app.

CBS app is great!. I really appreciate being able to catch up on episodes I have missed. As a child, my father used to say not to worry, I could see it later in re-runs. That’s not the same when you are following a series you really enjoy. It is like missing a family member’s birthday. Thanks, CBS for the opportunity to keep current with the tv families we enjoy being with each weekly episode.

Can stop the show or else it’ll restart. I tried watching the Oprah special. I had to pause several times to finish chores and when I went back to the show it had restarted. I had to find my place and sit through several minutes of commercials each time the show restarted rather than remembering where I left off. Very annoying. Then I had to watch the additional commercials every few minutes right after watching commercials. Just used the app to watch the one special and now deleting the app. Way too many commercials and inconveniences.

CBS App. I should get paid for doing this. The CBS App is pretty good. Usually, the most recent shows are free to watch. Great stuff, but I can’t watch anything older without a subscription to CBS All Access. Maybe make older shows from let’s say Young Sheldon available more often. Let’s say at least occasionally. I would like to see more free episodes from shows like Danny Phantom and other great shows made for kids. I guess you can say I like a little bit of everything!

Emergency 6-Mo. Suspension of DirecTV. Due to an unexpected and very expensive car repair, I had to give up the luxury of cable television and my CBS favorite shows. Thanks be to God, I have discovered this app, and am now able to take a break from the demands of hard work to practice self care since discovering CBS online (and the quality is better than my t.v.!). Need old version back. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because since the app was changed yesterday, it’s asking me to update to the new version, which I’m unable to do because I don’t have the required IOS, and I’m not able to update my phone. So I deleted and reinstalled the old version, but it’s still not allowing me to use it, and asking me to update it again. I’m really disappointed that I won’t be able to use this app anymore.

Only plays adds. Downloaded this app to enjoy some tv shows. After trying to watch several different options the only thing I could view were adds. I could not get anything to load. Skip forward, more ads. Rewind, more ads. Why do I have to watch more ads if I skip forward after already watching ads. And most importantly, if I overshot (which I only find out after watching 3 mins of ads), why would you make me watch another 3 mins of ads to skip back/rewind. Misleading App. Description says you don’t need any additional passwords or suppliers to watch CBS programming on the app. WRONG! Just tried to watch CBS’s 60 Minutes on my phone and it told me I need to input my tv supplier, i.e. Comcast, in order to watch. I’m in a hotel room and this provider, Direct TV, has an issue with the hotel chain and won’t show CBS’s programming. Since Comcast is my supplier at home it won’t recognize my internet connection. So, guess what CBS, you need to rewrite your “free” description. 🤯🤷‍♂️🤦🏻

App problems. Whenever I’m trying to watch CBS content and do other things besides watch CBS videos, for some reason, after around 2 minutes on an Apple product, the app resets and doesn’t allow me to continue watching. And I have to restart the app to continue. Could you please fix this problem so people like me, who have to do double or triple duty on watching programs can catch what they miss without having to either keep CBS full screen, or restart an app multiple times?

Super duper soaps. I grew up in my 30s watching my favorite soap. While raising my family and most of all my marriage of 48 years. Easy catch up!. When your favorite program gets bumped mid broadcast you can easily watch the missing parts! News break ins are not always welcome albeit their information. The app lets you fill in the blanks or, watch things in their entirety. The app also eliminates Satellite TV rain issues. It’s seamless, easy and dependable.

Doesn’t save my place. I’ve come to expect all my apps to save my place when I’m in the middle of a show or video, and this one doesn’t. If I have to stop my show in the middle and go do other things that day, when I come back a while later it has not saved my place. And I usually have to watch double commercials once I guess about where I was in the show. Will probably delete this app after I watch the one show I downloaded it for.

Too many ads. Downloaded to watch one thing. The app just kept crashing. Then had to start the show up again and watch a bunch of ads. When the app crashed, I didn’t know how far in I was so I had to guess when I started it up again. If I went too far ahead and rewound at all,2 more minutes of ads. If I rewound again, 2 more minutes of ads. Fast forward - 2 more minutes of ads. Ads showing up should be based on how much playback there is. They shouldn’t play automatically just because I rewound or fast forwarded.

Fatal Error. Quite possibly the worst streaming app. The app will not save your place in a show that you were watching or save your place on the middle of an episode. It also likes to crash a lot and give fatal error message making you have to restart the app and then find your place in the episode you were watching again. In order to fast forward to that spot, you’ll also have to watch five more commercials.

Love CBS app. Love this app because I don’t have a TV and when I had a TV, I use to have to record all my favorite shows and watch them when I’d get home from work. With the CBS app, I don’t have to do any pre-recording. I can just click on the show I want and watch it anytime. I love it!! Thank you.

Video app can’t keep track of your watch point. Got this app to watch the Oprah Megan Harry interview like I’m sure thousands others did. I’m sure this was a big initiative to get ppl to download the app (and possibly subscribe). If it was, you did a really, really, really bad job. -Can’t get the Picture in Picture to work on iPhone for some reason. Netflix and others do it seamlessly. -accidentally close app while trying to get ^ to work -if you close app or video, it doesn’t remember your last video watch time point -so you are forced to rewatch all the intro ads over and over and over and over -to mention ads - OMG seriously it feels like a 100 ads in this 2 hour special. And they all feel like way too long rehashes of the same content. I can tell you for after watching ten 20 second long Paramount streaming commercials, I definitely do NOT want to buy it’s. It’s now a swear word, not a product.

CBS yes💙Blue bloods❤️. I’m on disability and trying to survive. I’ve had to cut out most things I enjoy. I love the Blue Bloods family show. I missed is show I was sick! Sad but true. I got the app so that my mother and I would be able to watch a special that appeared to be viewable only through this app. I had really hoped that this would work better and I apologize, but we had nothing but frustration. No control during commercials was ok. However, the constant glitching back to commercials and the struggle just to fast forward/rewind was ridiculous. Eventually it just cut out all together each time we would make an effort to watch the segment. Hopefully other’s have had far better experiences. Ours sadly was not, but hopefully will be at another time.

3 stars. This app is great and very useful when it comes to finding shows that are no longer available on other platforms. While I do enjoy having access to a multitude of amazing shows, what’s the point of you can’t enjoy them. Anywhere from 2-4 times an episode you get unwanted ads. Every stop for ads you get there can be up to 7. It becomes frustrating when ads begin to effect your enjoyment of the show.

✅. First CBS is nostalgic for me. Having the app on my iPhone is just 10x’s more convenient. I enjoy that there are commercials throughout the episodes bc it creates a sense of balance. Why I love, CBS. I just love how every single part and each show and seasonal thing I could watch on this app is just amazing good graphics, and every other thing that you need like other ads for other shows at there or out on CBS as well. I love it.

Too slow and cluncky. I hope you like staring at grey rectangles, because you’ll be doing a lot of that. I use other streaming apps from my iPad and none of them get stuck like this one, or leave me hanging with a blank screen. It’s ridiculous. Plus if it drops you off a show half way through and you want to go back and finish it, first it doesn’t save where you left and then you gotta watch like ten minutes of advertising to skip to that spot, risking it getting stuck in buffering again.

Fatal Error AirPlay Every Time. AirPlay is not usable using this app. Fatal error every time I tried to watch a show on my TV using AirPlay. This has been happening for months and has only gotten worse. If you somehow done get a fatal error, it will randomly freeze on ads and make you rewatch ads every time you reopen the show. It is the most frustrating app to use AirPlay with. I will no longer be using this app due to this issue. Spent way too much time trying to figure out how to watch shows without issue. Multi billion company with an unusable app is a joke.

Deceptive - very bad customer handling. I was watching the CBS free Oprah interview of Meghan and Harry and didn’t want to watch commercials. When I searched for how to sign up, I was led to sign up for a free week of commercial free Paramount - which it said had been CBS and had changed its name. But then once signed up, no where could I find this same show, nor when I signed into the CBS app. And when trying to reach support for the app I just signed up for, it tells me I can’t until I set up an email, which I had just done. I was so disgusted. Dropped it immediately and canceled the subscription.

To many adds but I like it. Hello! I just want to write a review about this app and why it has to many adds. Anyways I really like the app I was using it to watch season 4 of One Day At a Time because the show is really funny I just came from rewatching it on Netflix but there’s to many adds. It’s like every 5 mins of the show an add comes up it there’s like 5 adds! If you could fix that I would love it.

This app is garbage!. This app rarely plays shows. 9 out of 10 times I try to stream a show all I get is a black screen. If this is the type of app CBS makes I would NEVER pay for Paramount+! All other network apps work fine, why can’t CBS figure out how to stream a show. I have tried reinstalling the app, re-linking my cable provider, resetting everything that could possibly make a difference with no success. I like CBS shows but am losing interest in watching since it has been weeks since this app has worked correctly.

Unusable for streaming. Constant fatal errors. This app has been unusable for streaming football. No other streaming app I have has fatal errors like this every few minutes. You basically watch some ads, the game stream starts up and within a minute or so the feed locks up and you eventually get a fatal error. If you toggle between the Home Screen and live tv option the moment it locks up you can often salvage the stream without the error, but who wants to do that every couple minutes?? So frustrating.

Old phone wont upload updated app old version wont play. I have an older iPhone, your latest update requires iOS 13, my phone is too old to update to 13. Every time I try to watch something on your app it tells me I need to upgrade and blocked me from seeing anything, I try to upgrade it told me I need iOS 13, and then it asked me if I want to download an older version, I tell her yes and it just goes around in circles. Could you please make the old version work on my old phone? This isn’t right.

NO stars. UNRELIABLE! POOR compared to other networks. Constantly CRASHES! Too many streams open ERROR which is nonsense. Also when on demand no option to play vertical with small screen thus draining your battery for their total ---- content which doesn't warrant resolution or large view. Also it loads so much data (compared to like apps), stealing space on your device with no option to clear that data! What SLOBS! SO stupid SLOPPY in latest episodes section they don't always include title of series but only season and episode #'s! ARE YOU KIDDING?! This app is awful! Matches the network, fittingly.

Fatal Errors - I should be dead by now. I’ve had this app about a week. It worked maybe two days, and since then every single time it gives me the fatal error message. My internet is fine, or at least fine enough for ABC, NBC, HBOmax, DiscoveryGo, Netflix, etc. I’ve reinstalled it repeatedly. And it looks like after I miss a daily show for a week, then I’ll need to subscribe to something? Not likely. Why would I pay for more hassles when I can get plenty of hassle from the CBS app for free?

CBS. Thank You for bringing US Great News Programs Movies that we would have missed. Having this app make life easier. I can watch the News see my favorites programs Love Blue Blood Tough as Nails because they work so hard for money and Ford truck. If missed it I can watch it on my phone. Thank you from far away. We live in S. Korea, military, and often times we feel disconnected from what is happening at home. With your app and a VPN, we are able to watch tv from our home. Thank you for your service! No pun intended 😂 please don’t change a thing, maybe an optional paid option to remove ads but keep both options.

Paramount/CBS app lacking. Since the change to Paramount the app has worked less the okay. I pay for no commercials, and prefer to download my show and watch later. Since the paramount app came out most of the time I can’t download my shows at all, then when I can I can’t watch it. It just sits on a black screen. I’ve tried this with wifi and using the data on my phone. If a “new” version is going to roll out they need to make sure the basics work before putting it out there. Very disappointed!

New CBS App. This app use to work great. The latest version is terrible. Locks up my phone and TV. Can’t go forward, get out, nothing. Only thing that functions are the commercials. Terrible. Deleting it now. Received a response from the developer. Basically ‘see the FAQ’. Not helpful. Reloaded the app. Same issues. The app interferes with Apple screen mirroring. Could be a security issue. No problem commercials, just program. Other posts show same issues. Not a problem with NBC. Definitely an app issue.

Shows Regularly Freeze. It amazes me how poorly this app functions given that it represents a major US corporation. It does not pair well with Air Play or Chromecast. We have no issues with other streaming platforms. My wife and I use this app to stream Survivor. We cannot get through a single 42 minute episode without it freezing after about 20 minutes. This usually happens during the ads. Worse yet, when we restart the episode it is difficult to get to our previous spot without streaming through each ad break. It is very frustrating.

Locked Episodes on Roku. Why can’t you guys fix the glitch on Roku that locks all of the most recent episodes? It can’t be more than a simple coding fix on your end, so why not deal with it instead of frustrating your viewers? I bought a Roku so I could watch shows on my tv instead of my laptop, but unless I want to wait weeks after any primetime episode airs (which I don’t), I still have to watch on my laptop. I don’t want to call an 800 number because I don’t require technical assistance; the problem is on YOUR end. Please fix it!

Totally Frustrating!!!. We were excited to see this in the App Store. However after downloading it and watching it for 7 or 8 minutes, the sound went mute and a few seconds later the program stopped. We restarted the app, and the program did the same thing a second time and it showed the error “Not supported in your location”. We restarted a third time and the same thing happened “A-G-A-I-N!! After several attempts we uninstalled the app. So so disappointing!! I gave this app one star only because zero was not an option.

This app needs work. Using the App in Las Vegas, and it’s just a mess. At first I thought it was due to being in cellular data, but even on WiFi the streaming hangs periodically, is slow to load, and when the screen minimizes, it kills the app when you try to bring it back to full size. Every. Single. Time. This was particularly frustrating in the waning minutes of a football game last Sunday. Which is the only thing I’d use it for, so maybe it’s ok for watching shows, but it needs an overhaul for live streaming. Compare this to the Yahoo sports app, which is generally reliable and consistent.

It’s actually free. I downloaded this hoping to be able to catch up on some big brother episodes while away from home and I was surprised to see that I didint even need to sign up for anything I could just watch whatever I wanted for free! Great app, would recommend.

Too many problems. This app has so much buffering when trying to watch a program. Then you lose the show and have to start over again. When it does work the commercials will buffer than kick you out of the program. Also the last few seconds before a commercial plays the audio goes out. It makes a 30 minute show take an hour to watch.

Skipping end of shows. My Apple TV CBS app keeps trying to stop playing shows with 8 minutes left. It thinks the whole last 8 minutes is credits. Is there a setting i can change to make it not automatically skip to the next episode? Other than that, i am enjoying the app since i finally realized i can connect this to my cable tv provider

Ads. See yes, I understand that there has to be ads but when I start watching an episode and then exit the app for a while. It doesn’t save where I was at. So I have to fast forward with the line thingy. And when I land on where I was at, It makes me watch an ad but then usually not even 1 minute into the show it gives me more ads which is ridiculous. And another thing is that it doesn’t save where I left off, as I said it the beginning. So can you please figure something out for this.

So not worth it. You can pretty much get anything on this app somewhere else and on chance there’s something special you want to watch you will have to pay for it. The site doesn’t let you watch full videos or videos unless you’re on the app version even though you paid for it. So you can basically watch on your phone and nothing else. Crazy to me people don’t fix the app or try to make it usable for people. I would pay more money for this app to watch the things I need to if it would cut out the crap and just play the video on any other bigger screen. So frustrating.

Terrible. The worst streaming app on the internet. The latest full episodes section doesn’t even have the name of the show, so you have to guess what it is by the thumbnail. Any interruption in the show, be it an internet hiccup, or you have to stop watching it fir any reason, when you come back, you have to find where you were, and usually have to watch a slew of commercials while you scrub around lookin for where you were. It doesn’t save your place at all. Why anyone would pay for this is beyond me. Sad because some of my favorite shows are on cbs.

Sign in really??!!. Trying to watch NCIS Hawaii but I’m asked to sign in with my TV provider? Ridiculous! I’ve watched the original NCIS show for years. I just can’t always stay up later because I must be at work at 6:30 am. Now I’m trying to see the conclusion of NCIS because they decided to have a crossover event, I didn’t know that, with NCIS Hawaii but I’m not able to because of this sign in garbage. Not very happy with this app right now. Allow me to watch the show. Really disappointed right now.

Streaming freezes during Ads while using AirPlay. Streaming freezes during the ads. Shows load fine. Clicking play/pause does nothing. Watched about 12 ads trying to get through an episode of Ghosts. Gave up halfway through. Exiting and going back to the episode causes you to completely start over (making you watch more ads). Please work on show streaming when connected to AirPlay. App should keep track of ads watched to not have to constantly repeat it. (It should also keep tabs on where you are in an episode).

Second chance.. It is nice when weather, politics etc pre-empt a show with a twist or surprise that there is another way to see it. Less often, a friend may gush about a specific show you don't normally watch but thanks to the CBS app there is no reason one can't check it out. The commercials are just a standard part of tv.

Fatal Error. Ongoing fatal errors. So frustrating. Five minutes of play time followed by minutes of nothing and then fatal error. Takes me hours of trying to get a show in and I’ve missed the last 2 minutes of almost every recent show I’ve tried to watch because it shuts down toward the end and thinks I’ve watched the whole episode. I love CBS and I can’t watch my shows at normal times. So this alternative is nice if it would work.

Young and The Restless. Truly something that I have watched for over 45 years!!! I am 50 years young and my babysitter used to watch it and since then I have been hooked on the Newman family and Genoa City!!! I just wish I could just for one day get to go to be on the set and be there at Genoa City!!! I love the Newmans’ and would be so happy!!!

Voice narration. Update- not sure if it was my device or the app but it works now! Love catching up on shows with the CBS app now! Why can’t I turn off the voice narrative?? Please fix this. I click on the green check mark by audio in subtitles but it will not turn off!

Super easy transition. I was previously signed up to CBS All Access, now Paramount+, with my TV Provider. When they removed the option to sign in with my TV Provider, they sent instructions for signing in on the CBS app. It was super easy to automatically sign in when I was connected to my wifi and I could steam some episodes, along with live TV. Nice streaming experience and nice looking app.
