Not what I expected, but better!. I never was into playing battle royale type games. Just didn’t appeal to me and my typical play style. I also rarely have time to sit for long periods of time uninterrupted. When I saw the announcement for FS, I was so excited, but worried I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it. I had hoped there would be some sort of campaign element, which there isn’t. Luckily, I’ve been enjoying this thoroughly, even as a casual player! I definitely recommend it for anyone who is a fan of the series. The incorporation of elements from the original games makes it fun to play the solo battles, even if you don’t engage with other players!

Problematic but boasts potential. So far, this is much better than I expected; the graphics are tupical Square Enix quality, gameplay is decent, and it’s honestly clever how Square basically took the common battle royale game and socketed Final Fantasy into it via the summons, ai mobs, scenery, and mounts. Prompting the previous statements, there are several factors to improve about this game. First of all, my character walks around as if she’s a transformer; the movement is extremely stiff and almost extremely robotic-like. The joints and all are simulated properly but when you stop your character , they completely stop moving instantly, body and all which is completely unnatural. Second, the camera needs to be automatic and lock onto the nearest target without the player’s input; you just cannot juggle two expansive game aspects on mobile and that’s a proven fact. In fact, the camera should also follow the character’s heading, not just hover over him/her; you don’t want to be caught fine-tuning the camera angle in a game like this when someone encounters and kills you. Third, the random game crashes during ,matches are costly and make FF7FS unreliable. I live 700 ft from a cellular tower and have plenty of bandwidth so please fix that bug as well. Aside from those factors, this is most certainly a promising mobile ff game.

Good, Needs Tuning, details below. Ultimately a good, stable game. However. Controller support only allows for the “tap” actions and has no idea how to identify a “slow tap” or “hold button” action so instead of guessing it just doesn’t do the action at all. The casting wheel for controller support does not work at all and hasn’t worked though my gameplay. I’ve had to adapt touch/controller hybrid uses because of this occurrence which has resulted in numerous game losses where if I had just been able to perform the prompt from the controller I could have out performed my opponent. Over all a good and fun game. But there are kinks in the chain that I personally feel should have been okay tested and ironed out before launch

First battle royale game I like. Find a game quite enjoyable and very fun. I love the way they implement materia into the game and also key locations from Final Fantasy 7 if you play the game. Like Tifa‘s Bar Aris home and much more you will notice if you were a final fantasy 7 fan. I enjoy also that they added summons into the games that brings in another kind of factor and also world bosses that show up randomly on the map sometimes and they also have a great selection of guns .Besides the guns there are I believe six classes and they have each their own unique abilities and Bailey weapon . My only problem with the game is that some of the micro transactions can be a little bit spend he but otherwise it’s a pretty good battle pass and there’s also secret skins you can get free season it seems and you can earn those for free .Anyways if you’re like me and you live far away and C7 and I’m trying not to be biased and you also don’t like battle royale’s I urge you to give this one a shot it’s pretty fun .other than that sorry for the bad spelling

Pls read. Why are there only 5 basic classes why not make skills trees that can be combined and unlock more skills and other class hybrids like “spell slinger “ and the more you lvl up you get skill points and those can be used to unlock other classes and skills every player is given 3 trees that can be totally customizable and unlock over time and if they don’t like the skills they made they can delete and get all there skills points back or just buy a new slot to make a new skill tree. Classes I wish you could add “tamer, priest,Druid, alchemist “and “archer “yes bow and arrow are main weapon “and these could open so many new skill trees like “beast master = tamer+druid” can tame flying monster or “charm caster = alchemist+ mage” throws potions that I stop enemy’s from casting spells “or “spellslinger “ can charge arcane into spells like fire ball to use as a sniper or blizzard to throw a icicle that bursts on contact and forms a dome of ice and snow “ or “ assassin+ alchemist “ can throw needles that stack and after 3-5 stacks paralyzes the enemy’s also maybe add like a shield spell for priests and druids like magic walls and domes

This game is great!. I’m a big final fantasy guy and a big apex fortnight battle royal guy so to this come together so eloquently blew my socks off. Only thing I would say to the developers is that Battle Royal is popular but you don’t have to loose any of the role playing dimensions in this classic role playing serious to me it’s cheap and these maps are nice. I’m challenging square Enix to take this game somewhere no other company has taken a game and that’s maybe find some way to combine the 75 people big maps maybe more maps and the role playing battle royal esq games. Maybe find some way to band and form new teams as you go. And add more of a talking dimension to it. If I worked for. Square I would take over the game I got ideas lol

Movement and Lag. I love this game. I usually don’t stay on new games long unless they pique my interest enough so I don’t let go, and this game has done just that. I know it just came out, theres alot of room for improvement, but what I’d like to note first is the movement Materia wise and in general. I love the materia combo; Aero (tornado that makes you go wheee), bio (caustics wet dream?), and gravita (horizons wet dream), but what bothers me is theres no help for the user regarding the gravity, or the fact when you land after using the Aero tornado to lift you into the air as the user or teammates, you’re stunned fir a good second with no ability to move. even if it be only a second, it still hinders my movement, and actually cost me a few fights. Secondly, movement in general. I was just in a game, top 3 (with my combo materia may I add), but i couldnt move like I should have been. I kept teleporting unexpectedly, lagging, and being thrown backwards. When it came to top 2 I couldn’t get to cover because i lagged and died whilst lagging. It would be amazing for this to be fixed. There are a few other minor issues, but not worth remembering. I feel like they’ll get fixed with time anyway. I love this game though, the mechanics are amazing!

Most fun Battle Royal, if only they could fix some issues.. This has got to be the most fun Battle Royal I’ve played so far. It has a lot of variety and it’s very easy and simple to grasp the concepts and put them into use. There’s lots of different ways to play each match. The different gun, style and materia combos are great. The only downside I would say are some of the crashes and bugs that have happened since playing. There are times when holding down the trigger the gun won’t fire automatically but will only shoot a single shot. Or when the game crashes and you just had someone in your sights ready to pull the trigger. If they could fix these issues I would definitely give this game a 5 star rating because this game has so much potential.

Great game with potential. It’s a very interesting concept for a game. Final fantasy definitely stepped their game up with a game that favors skills and strategy in a battle royale. It takes getting used to and definitely takes a deeper understanding of the different classes and how they work together as well as their weaknesses. I like the fact that it does allow you to snipe off an enemy or mow them down with cqc. It is a bit forgiving for people who get ambushed too. I have been taken by surprise countless times and sometimes ended up outwitting the opponents for a close call win. I really would like to see more options for earning exp, possibly a new map or gameplay mechanic. I will also appreciate some lag fixes if possible, it’s not ground breaking but exists. Overall, the game is awesome and I would like to see it grow into an even greater project.

Feels rushed. The lag is around 100ms, while other similar games are around 30-40ms. The controls aren’t smooth, the “practice” area is full of other people, so good luck testing recoil patterns or aiming when a 12-year-old won’t stop shooting you. The ammo runs out in practice mode, so you have to constantly run back to the table to refill. The adjustable button sizes are limited. You can’t slide. Crawling is so slow you might as well just lay prone. Climbing through windows is unreliable. Compared to other titles, it just feels unpolished, unrefined, lacking features, modes, etc. Maybe it’ll be good in a few years, but it already has a lot of catching up to do. I’ve played FF games since II on the SNES, and have played many mobile battle royale titles… and I’m sorry to say this game falls short in both regards. I do hope it improves, but right now it just seems like a late-to-the-party opportunistic licensing cash grab.

As A Avid Fan and Gamer. I have played final fantasy for a long time and love the series. Having this battle Royale I am more harsh because of that very reason. Unfortunately their isn’t much room to complain. The controls are quite similar to Final Fantasy Crisis Core for the PSP when using a controller. The concept is so well done and constructed perfectly blending many game component in that it’s crazy this is a mobile game and not played on a larger platform that it truly deserves to be played on. The variety of different abilities, weapons, and particular fighting style allows a concept of tactical planning you can have with a team or as a solo player. Overall this is amazing and I can’t say enough about every meticulous design that has been put into the game that makes it work.

Personal opinion. I’ve played my far amount of mobile Battle Royale games, such as CoD mobile, Pubg, pixel gun shooter and some others. What I really like about this game is that not only are the ads I’ve seen of it realistic to the game, but the game is layed out beautifully and not hard at all to understand. The only thing I would love to see is gyro controls. As a switch player I love gyro controls. The fact Pixel Gun didn’t have any was one reason I stopped playing, now I’m not gonna stop playing this game just because of that, but it does make the game more fun, and obviously if people don’t like it they don’t have to use them. I hope you can add them to a future update and I look forward to see what will happen next 😁

Love it. Sad to see it go very soon.... I’m a big ff7 fan but life situations... I cannot have a playstation. So this is so fun for me to be in this world. Easy accessible on the phone too :) So yeah I’m sad it will end. I wanted to share that my favorite event was the Christmas event last year. I liked the extra challenge of having to reach every Christmas tree in every town without being killed first. And there were so many strong players too so it was quite challenging. Maybe if there were more events like that? To switch it up? Although I hope something like it will come back this year :) but it’s been fun and thank you for making it!

Me = bewildered that some ppl are leaving bad reviews. See the title. Quite surprised to see this game getting like, any bad reviews. The game adds a ton of insanely cool features to what was formerly a tired old battle Royale format that I haven’t played anywhere else. Also not pay to win literally by definition (paying yields aesthetic only changes) like most BR games, so the typical complaint I see about pay to win being problematic, where’s the love for a game like this? The only suggestions I would make are minor: make it possible to buy Shinra packs with plain Gil. It’s been a long time since I had any kind of chest to open I don’t even mind if the drop rates are terrible so long as I get one every now and then. And... that’s about it? Oh one other thing, plz don’t prejudice against all jailbroken phones. You should be detecting people trying to cheat, not just any person who has jailbroken their phone. I do the latter NOT the former, and as such can only play on one of my two devices. I imagine there’s lots of ppl out there where that would mean they can play on zero devices. The two things are NOT synonymous.

Not a big fan of battle royales.. I love the Final Fantasy franchise, never really loved the BR formula… but i have to say they did this one right! There is definitely some balance issues to work out and yes it crashes a bunch but guys remember, its the first week and its a heavily populated community. It’ll take us all letting them know our issues and so on, so they can further improve the game to its perfection. I think the gameplay is phenomenal. Tried with my xbox controller, it feels awesome, a little easier to aim with my phone however but we can choose that thankfully. Nothing bad but the crashing first couple of weeks. Excited to see the next class they add to this game, hopefully they even expand this game to console & PC!

Um ok. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m loving this game you guys rock! You really put in some work this is better than I imagined. The use of summons and materia weapons the layout and Season structure like most battle royale games. I just love it all, I’m really looking forward to the skins and weapons we can unlock. I will be supporting this for a long time and happy to say I’m here for SEASON 1. Thank you thank thank you thank you. I’m a huge FF7 fan from the original to the remastered. This is just amazing to play it from a soldiers perspective. I’m really impressed by the game play and how well balance you guys made it. The fact that you can add additional stats to your material and weapons is well done. It doesn’t feel like anyone is overpowered and since the addition of this combat style in more recent rpg games the battle royale feels like I’m playing the final fantasies that inncorpates this battle system. It requires strategy and skills to defeat opponents and having a great balance of magic and melee and range makes it feel refreshing with each approach. For me this game feels like home because I’m well familiar with the franchise it’s exciting to see the way things are implemented in regards to rewards and skins, it feels like a world of final fantasy and not just another regular battle royale. The foundation of final fantasy is prevalent in this game.

This is simply astounding. Ok first off there are not many ff7 fans as in to the game as I was. Been waiting forever for a new one since I was a kid and was very happy with the remake that recently came out on console, but when I saw this I immediately downloaded it not even realizing it was a BR game which I’m also a huge fan of. When I found out it’s a battle royale I was stoked, but after playing I’m super addicted, feels just like living in the world of final fantasy 7 and I can’t get enough!!! I hope to see new areas soon, even if it’s just other sectors of the city, but there are so many places they could map, I can’t wait to see where this game goes!

It’s very hard to find a game. I love this game, yeah, there is flaws, but that’s all games, I love this game, it’s one of the few that keep me and my brother in contact, it holds our hearts and minds to play this game, we love casually playing and exploring working on the environment as we go through the game, and I was sad to hear you guys thinking it wasn’t enough, and I understand the way things are but this game can be frustrating to manage and the returns might not be as well as you want but it’s an amazing game and I think it’s the balance and lack of need to pay to play that makes it so enjoyable and I think it’s worth while to not end it and work on a rebranding of the store, obviously it’s not gonna be a easy sell, but maybe we love this game…life just gets busy.

What in the world is happening?. I’m a long time FF fan, so I jumped on this as soon as I saw it. Biggest issue I have so far is that there’s basically zero tutorial for actual gameplay. You get a quick “combat basics” followed by being thrown into a system of menus and eventually a helicopter that drops you off in a huge map with no instructions as to what you’re doing, what the goal is, or anything else. I’ve found the bits of gameplay I’ve figured out to be engaging, but it’s thrown at you in a rather haphazard, chaotic manner. Also, between the huge world map and a lot of buttons on the screen, this is a bit challenging to play on a phone. A tablet or computer would be much better. The ability to play using a physical controller would be a huge advantage. All in all, FS has piqued my curiosity, but it would be so, so nice if the developers gave you some idea of what the game is and how to play it.

A new kind of Battle Royale. Short answer: I love FF7: The First Soldier. I have enjoyed battle royales occasionally, particularly Fortnite. While this game is certainly inspired by Fortnite and PUBG, FS sets itself apart with unique Final Fantasy gameplay mechanics. The job classes and skills add a new layer of complexity to the formula, especially in team battles. The magic/materia system is another welcome addition, though the learning curve is a little steep. Chocobo usage and breeding was a huge surprise to discover and one I enjoy much more than I thought in a battle royale. The FF aesthetic seems perfectly suited to a battle royale and I’m excited to say that this Game nails the gameplay element as well. With plenty of skins and loot available, I will be enticed to play for a long, long time.

Maddest a game has made me in years!. It’s a beautiful game and I’m sure it’s fine for all these Fortnite and other games of that ilk players. But for those of us who have been paying the bills by buying the same game multiple times on different platforms for the last 25-35 years we could use a little bit of help learning how to play such chaos more than the tutorial provides. Give us a PVE training ground where you can level up at a slower rate just so we can get used to everything. Or ease us into it with like a 10 player arena instead of throwing us to the mercy of 75 that will just spawn kill us before we even get a gun! Talk about being throw to the wolves with a bloody steak in our back pocket! What really makes me mad was after enjoying the tutorial I thought I would like this, so I plopped down $20 for the Season Pass. Which I don’t think actually helps you at all, I think it’s just horse(chocobo) armor all over again…. Come on SE give us true FF lovers who don’t play chaotic FPSes and BR games a little easier way to enjoy this game that could be great and probably is.

Just play it!. I am not a fan of battle royals or 1st person shooter style games usually at all. However I have and always will love FF so I tried FFVIIFS and can’t put it down. The classic theme with the nonstop action is fantastic . Chocobo seem a bit overpowered in the late phases, but that just goes to the various strategies for survival and victory. The button bloat and view range is slightly irksome on a mobile using screen play feature, but a decent I pad or controller works dandy to remedy this. The disconnect issues didn’t begin until week two which just tells me this game was more popular than anticipated. I’m sure and hope the devs work it out. I could absolutely see this game being even better in a pc or console format. I despise battle royale games in general, but I’m coming to find you in Midgar!

Very Fun, Buggy and Laggy. I really like the idea of blending CoD Mobile and FF together, and for the most part this works. This can be a super fun game to play, especially in team matches. The cosmetics are cool too. A few caveats: - This game client crashes enough to make it aggravating. It seems to crash most often when using a controller connected to my iPad, but it happens when you don’t want it to, and I’ve been killed a few times because of this. - CoD Mobile separates people who use controllers from people who don’t, and I think this is a fair way to balance the game. If this game does this, it doesn’t make it obvious and it should. - The visual scheme doesn’t make it obvious which material you’re going to cast when using a controller. I’ve miscast the wrong material so many times in a heated battle because of this. - They advertise the voice chat capabilities, but I’ve never seen anybody other than three year olds and people who live in styrofoam houses use this, hence I’m always muting it and disabling my mic. The in-game controls for comms work just fine. But this could just be me being a mid-thirties gamer who doesn’t jive with Discord. - SE really need to add more maps. I get that this being based in the FF7 universe and pegging this nearly exclusively to Shinra kind of limits the places one would think you could play in, but there are actually a lot of places in FF7 that could be used for this game and I’d like to see more of that.

It’s awesome but needs more to be perfect. As I saw another review on here about criticizing specific aspect such as the health system, I think it’s perfect to start out with 100 health and as you level up you get more Hp you’re not always stuck on 100 but he did have a point about not enough quest there could be more to level up, my thing is that there definitely should be more job classes and more maps rather than only playing on Midgar I’m hoping you guys release wutai next after season 1 is over. I demand more I say I demand! That more vehicles be added and maybe different game modes like team deathmatch or maybe an adventure mode.

FINAL FANTASY BATTLE ROYALE. Yoooooo, lets goooooo!!! 🤩 I never write reviews ever. This game is so much fun. I love how there is monsters to defeat to level up during matches and all the cool summons, various magic materia (I love the aero jump as a tactic personally), various vehicles (and chocobos!!), parkour, different classes to try, like there's so many elements that make this game worth the dive. Yes controls are hard on a phone and take getting used to-its not a console game (yet)-and if you're so inclined to have a console experience wait until they release the console versions and you can continue playing whats already out there. Otherwise try to enjoy this experience for what it is and know that Square Enix is only getting started. I can't wait to see whats to come with time as new content is released. This is the only game I will be playing on my phone for awhile. Thank you Square Enix 😃

Great Game but... The game itself is a well put together game, the biggest issue I have is it crashes MANY times and can be VERY frustrating, like when it crashes in the final circle of a ranked match during a firefight.. (Also running on a 12 pro max). Even after multiple repairs you’ll crash randomly. It’s an eclectic battle royal, a mix of pubg, apex, warzone and spellbreak. All topped of with a Final Fantasy theme. It takes some getting used to and some figuring out, but it won’t take too long. It’s got a great competitive community, if you’re into that, and has all your favorite staple monsters from the series, such as the tonberry, bomb and cactuar. Battle pass so far seems worth it, still have a lot to grind to fully speak on its value though. It has its own unique game mode which isn’t really a mode but you can have your own stable of Chocobos you can feed according to how you want their stats and breed to hope for a better one. Overall games fun and keeps me interested without feeling like I need to pay for anything. You can definitely get what you want through grinding.

Ff7 first soilder. I have been playing the game since day one and I want to say this. I’m pretty high on the ranks and when your higher the more people you run into that abuse overpowered things. For example the sword. It shouldn’t do that much damage. It also shouldn’t have a barrier that protects it. A way to fix this is to nerf the damage to 15 per hit and take away the dash because that dash broken in every way. Another problem is snipers. I understand they have to be strong but the fact that I can shoot it 3 times in a second is way to much. I think if they fix these two problems then the game will be top tier. Hey square Enix I have played almost all final fantasy’s and most of the brs( I’m trying to say pls drop this on console)

Awesome FF BR! Hope it comes to PC and Console Soon!. Has a few bugs to fix such as app sometimes crashing, but all you have to do is open the app when it crashes and you’re right back in the battle. Doesn’t happen as often as you think. Ever company has their bugs in games here and there. They’ve already announced that they’re working on always fixing them all. Great start for this franchise. Hope they continue to update this game to make it play smoother so it is ready for a PC and Console release. I would definitely recommend trying it out with a wireless controller. I wouldn’t recommend using touch controller as they’re bad like any other mobile shooter. When you play on controller though…. man is it a blast! Totally would recommend this game to a friend when playing with a controller.

Amazing potential but crash issues with controllers. This game is truly a dream come true but please support controller support specifically Xbox blue tooth the game crashes constantly when aim or fire weapons. So annoying as it leads to constant deaths and losing. We also need more health in game, players die way too easily with guns that the game is dominated by guns leaving soldier warrior class obsolete. They have no skills that benefit the warrior class compared to every other class which creates major imbalance when warrior class should be strongest by far! Controls are very wonky and seems like a cash grab type of game with no improvements yet towards fixing these issues and improving the gameplay why not improve based on customer feedback? They could easily make more HP/less gun damage even out the fighting mechanics add something unique to the game that other battle type games do not already have besides materia that’s very strange to caste btw.

Wasted potential. I’ve been on this game since day 1 and I played and streamed it all the time when it first came out but my phone broke and I stopped playing it. I’m back into it in season 3 with my recovered account but the game feels more empty than ever. I say this game has lots of potential and lots of room for improvement and new ideas but sadly this game is just gonna end up in the deadlist permanently if the devs and Square Enix don’t do anything about it. The first thing the team need to do is release this game on other platforms. Second is they need to find ways to stand out more as an individual battle royale game and if battle royale doesn’t work then balance it with other game modes also needs to stay balanced and moving forward with bigger events that will keep the fans interested. Also listen to the community and ask for feedback. Has the development team and management given up and missed out on realizing it’s potential?

Extremely frustrating. This game has a lot of potential if it didn’t crash all the time. You would think with a game studio like this would be able to optimize this game well enough to just run especially on iPhone. With iPhones A13, A14, A15!Bionic chipsets are definitely well equipped with proper hardware to run every modern title no problem. It is so frustrating this game crashes all the time. If you look online it is a big issue. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. I tried resetting all my settings on my iPhone, huge inconvenience, and I actually tried restoring my iPhone!!! Still have the same issues. All the other games like CODM, PUBG, Asphalt 9, Shadow Legends, Battle Prime etc all running flawless on my iPhone SE 2020. So it’s definitely an issue with this game and not my phone. Very disappointed. It’s gonna be a few good updates at least till I even consider trying this game again.

Like it but not loving it yet.. Let’s start for the good things. Ok so the graphic are pretty cool, the map it’s a gods representation of Midgard, but it could be better. characters are really cool. Features are great. The monsters inside the map I liked it, it keeps the essence of the game. Ok now the downsides. So to play it on your mobile it’s really hard, I mean it’s too complicated, the camera won’t move with the carácter like in every other BR. So you gotta shoot/slash move the character and move the camera at the same time, which is really complicated on a mobile. The movement of the characters it’s clumsy, it makes you look like if you were a bot. The aiming of the guns and swords etc…it’s really bad!!! That’s makes it so hard to actually hit a enemy. I changed the sensibility and it did not make much of a difference I think when it comes to mobile games you need a little help aiming. But I think the worst thing, it’s the camera it really gives you a hard time when you play just with your mobile. Also I think guns need extended mags and scopes you can find on the map. Conclusions When you play with a controller the experience it’s better but still not enough!!! I think you have a great game here but it needs some improvements. Starting either the camera moving at the same direction as your character. Then the aiming. I hope you guys really take in consideration my review.

this game is SO good. I only write reviews for games I really enjoy -and as a die hard final fantasy fan, this is definitely one of them! The gameplay is really good (even if you are just using screen controls), but sometimes it’s laggy and i do disconnect even if my WiFi/cellular data is fine. It does annoy me sometimes, but it’s not something for me to be mad over. The gacha system is excellent as well- the developers are very generous with the special event tickets that they give us and usually you can get at least one legendary item while the banner is up. Very f2p friendly as well! (Not sure if I can say the same for the permanent banner..) Overall, if you’re a final fantasy fan or not this game is definitely one to consider playing!

Helo. Can ya plz fix the control were you can be able to do your magic spells without me been able to touch the screen of my phone alot. Is a pain because if i can do it for the healing i wanna do it for my spell too. And another thing you gotta fix is most of the time the auto guns become semiauto and it gets me mad when i am in combat with some one. And when you go hand to hand combat the player keep fighting the wrong way most of the time and he don’t stop until he finish. But beside that the game is great is a pretty good battle royal game. It would of been way better if it was hand to hand combat without no wepons or just the Wepons without the spells would of been way better. But keep up the good work hopefully ya bring more stuff in the game like other stuff to have fun not just battle royale. For we can be able to upgrade any character a lil faster because the battle royal is kinda slow to lv up. & ya need to put a report button for cheaters just incase i see one.

Great game for FF7 fans. Really fun battle royal that uses a lot of great themes from FF7R. Materia and spells work really well. Also a lot of different classes and styles for different playstyles. Only complaint is that the guns feel forced. In FF7 there were TWO party members who had guns (Barret and Vincent). Guns feel like they suit something like FF13 better than FF7. There should also be more Materia types. FF7 had magic, command, summon, support, and status materia. Magic and summon are the only ones that are in the game. Maybe there could be support Materia like Elemental that when connected to a magic Materia like fire could make your melee attacks do fire damage. Or maybe there could be command Materia like Deathblow that either guarantees a critical hit or misses entirely. Overall very well done. The game is in its first season so now is a great time to begin, especially for fans of FF7 and FF7 Remake. I vote that Square ports it to PS4/5 and Xbox. The game would work so much better on a console.

Was just aight, now its great.. I played the game back in season 1 into the early part of season 2. At the time (3 months ago or so) the game was very meh. It was a shooter which crashed often and only had 30 fps. I stopped playing for a bit and just came back recently. Since the launch of season 3, Square/Ateam has added 60 fps, a new map, fixed the crashing issues, and added a new class. Really, they should have launched the game in its current state versus when it launched in November. Regardless, the game is GREAT now and there are plenty of players and lots of competition to be had. Even with ApexM, PUBG, and CODM, Id say this is the best, most unique BR on mobile.

So much Potential. This game is like the first anime battle royal few people knew they needed. It’s unique in that way, not to mention you get to breed your bird mounts. Unfortunately it is still lacking the fundamentals features that makes a good battle royal game. The movements and graphics are much like the early pubg mobile. Very robotic, clean but blocky. The whole game is very slow, very slow slow pace game. Makes it very boring. There’s only one map and although it’s fun to explore and not like many BR maps, it still lacks luster. It’s a very repetitive game. With a few more fixes this game can become one of the best. Please consider adding a main chat, what is the point of it being multiplayer if there’s not main chat? No clans? Please consider these things on the next update. I still like the game and I will continue to play, looking forward to how it progresses over time.

Love the game. I don’t often write reviews, but for this one I think it is deserving. Things I like about the game. The classes, they are all unique in their abilities and skills, some say the warrior class melee attacks are over powered. I disagree as it takes a double tap of the crouch button to break free then engage the attacker while their finishing their melee animation. I like the ability to customize your class with different skills. I also enjoy the completely random spawn points from multiple locations. Instead of all the players on a linear path across the map like other BR. It feels like a final fantasy game not a Battle Royale, which is fantastic. I like the leveling up system as well, and how you gain hp per level. It makes for a strategic outwitting of your opponents from essentially the moment you dive out of the helicopter. Really the only drawback I have with this is sometimes the connection is laggy, and the limitation to it being solely on a mobile platform. Pc or any console would also be fine as well, mobile is hard on my carpal tunnel, can’t play it for long stretches like I would like. But maybe that’s a good thing. Keep up the great work!

Superb. Definitely a first-rate game. Highly detailed, solid gameplay mechanics with the polished gun and combat play systems, varied gameplay styles, and being able to customize your character without having a hundred different sliders to confuse you or intimidate you is nice. I also like that there is an ease of transition between controller and touchscreen, with a very fluid and dynamic UI that you can fully customize for ease of use. A good idea as well to allow the selection of combat styles that resemble classic Final Fantasy jobs, without over encumbering them with too many sub systems. And being able to level up those jobs while still being allowed to just jump in and play a free-for-all is a nice touch.

Amazingly Fun ! BUT ! ! !. This game is pretty well thought up as far as game Play and controller compatibility even but i’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say as a gamer and someone who gets into battle royals as such nothing is more aggravating and completely disrupting than having a game close in the middle of combat with another live person knowing that by the time you come back you’re already dead so please please look into fixing the game crashing randomly then I will give it a five starOther than that it is a great game it’s just I would play a lot more I’m pretty sure a lot more people would play it and wouldn’t have uninstalled it as I debate about doing if I continue to have the game crashing with little to no sign of being fixed because it says bug fixes in the updates and I think to myself oh boy they did it but nevertheless still the issue please look into it

Awesome BR - Devs, add better controller support and account linking, please! :). I’ve played an absolute TON of Fortnite over the years, I love FFVII since its release in 1997, and this first step in a Final Fantasy Battle Royale is pretty dang slick. The different classes (warrior, mage, ninja, etc.) each with different abilities that can be swapped out via leveling up is so refreshing. Leveling up your classes provides freebies too! A pleasant surprise! I am especially thankful there’s controller support of some kind. But I wish there could be more done here. Not having to go back and forth between the controller and the touch screen for menu-specific selections. I would LOVE to have gyro aiming like Splatoon/Fortnite on Switch. I (like many others) would also love, LOVE to see this game on Switch/PS5/Xbox Series/PC/Mac App Store as well. The idea of playing this on an M1 MacBook Pro would be insane. I understand ports and even cross-play/progression is a tall order. But doing so could very likely bring so many more people to the party, improve the business and overall support. Finally, I had some issues linking my Apple account when going between devices so I had to start over the tutorial. Other than that, I’m really looking forward to putting more time in a Battle Royale that DOESN’T have a building mechanic like Fortnite. Well done!!

Don’t stop the game. Look I absolutely love battle royal games and I absolutely think this is one of the most unique in the line up. You can easily expand upon this game by calling simply final fantasy first soldier then proceed to plug in each final fantasy game in the order of love to see a gunblade class from ff8 or a dual blade class or a Cheif class from ff9 or a blitz ball class from 10 point is this is an amazingly unique battle royal game and I’d really be disappointed to see it leave just because of lack of content there’s so much potential for it don’t just throw it away you all have only been at it a year so plz plz don’t give up on it yet even though no one will probably see this but I can at least hope I get heard if not oh well thank you for such an amazing and unique game!!!!

8/10.. The game overall is pretty entertaining. I was never able to play on PlayStation so this being a mobile game was one of the few reasons that made me grow to like this game more. I like that you get to customize your character but I wish there were more customization options that actually looked like the characters in FF7. Like Cloud’s hair for instance. It’s not spiky enough. Or Reno’s, or Zack’s. I’d say the most accurate in the game would be Leslie’s but even that may need some improvement. Also, the automobile sensitivity needs to be brought down by a lot. It’s hard to drive the jeep without it crashing into something with a subtle turn. The bike is okay but I’d also recommend bringing down the sensitivity for that as well. The chocobos are perfect though. I also recommend a log out and sign in option like Cod Mobile has, so I can make more than one account without having to delete the game just to download it again to make a new account. I’m the kind of person who likes to have multiple characters with different customizations and ranks, and what have you and I like giving out accounts for things in return or to play with friends. So that would be great.

FF7FS Review!. Final fantasy seven first soldier is a game that’s not like regular battle royale. It pays homage to one of the most amazing series : final fantasy in a variety of ways. From the amazing classes and field bosses, to the unique materia, just about everything in a traditional FF Game can be found here. It’s a Great world where you can meet friends and team up for endless ways to enjoy yourself. Combat is very live and the community is very active. In my opinion it won’t be long before this game reaches consoles and computers with the potential it has. Amazingly made and I’m looking forward to the new additions in the future to it. No pay to win, just strategy.

One of the best battle royals I’ve played, there are cons though. The strategy in this game is so interesting. The gun play is great, the magic system feels not just useful but necessary, the meme combat is fast, however the controls need refining. I’ve used on screen controls, and there is something that just doesn’t feel right. I ended up using a razor Kiri and it took me an hour to tune the controller to play in a way that felt good. I’ve also tried using a steel series controller and the aiming was way better but lag in the response time kills me a little. I have two more controllers I’m going to try out. One feature I really wish it had is gyroscope aiming. That would be. A game changer for me.

Jank and Game breaking Glitches. You can’t have everything wrong with the common mobile game and still have game breaking bugs involved with your game, it’s disastrous. This game has all the paid content everyone else has: seasonal passes, loot boxes, random luck shops, etc. Which already makes it unappealing to free players. Then the gameplay is just an empty, soulless battle royal with more jank than a game in season 2 should have. FF has a sort of expectation when it comes to filling in the fantasy part of their name and it really drops the ball there. Lastly it’s glitches hard still. Game closing out in the middle of round, your character saying they rather cast spells for the next five minutes instead of switching to a gun, characters pausing and refusing to move. I’ve played a lot of mobile games and was excited about a FF game like this, so this all was extra disappointing in the end. (Oh also dead player base. I maybe had one human every other match)

Actually fun. Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of the battle royale style games. They’re full of toxic attitudes and poor sportsmanship, and it’s just not fun to play a game that makes you frustrated all the time. Now, I am a fan of Final Fantasy, but not as far as to say slapping a Final Fantasy skin on something will make me like it. This game, however, is actually fun! Though it has elements of a Final Fantasy game (chocobos, bombs, etc.), it has enough variety in a battle royale setting to give it an enjoyable experience. There are missions to accomplish, big bosses to defeat, and, of course, players to compete against. Even when I lose (which is all the time by the way), I can still progress my character and enjoy the other, less frustrating aspects of the game. My personal favorite is going after bosses. A zone surrounds the area where players don’t hurt each other, and instead focus on the big bad for massive experience. Of course, when the zone disappears, we all kill each other, but it’s still fun and quite laughable. Overall, it’s a good time! Seek me out in game (Antain) and let’s partner up! Or compete against each other; that’s fun too!

This is an amazing game!. I have read a lot of reviews and heard of complaints regarding playability on mobile devices. I don’t think it is fair to compare this to playing on a gaming console. There are some obvious complications with playing these types of games on buttonless phones-but I think they have expertly accommodated for easy gameplay. This is the first BR type of game I have played on a mobile device and think the functionality is great. All of the screen buttons are configurable with the ability to customize location and size of button. The only complaint I have is the bots. Not all 75 players in the game are real-life players. Bots are incorporated to reduce load on server and fill the map during slow gaming hours (I’m assuming). It gets frustrating going through a whole game and only interacting with one or two real-life players. At the same time, when there are a lot of real life players (you typically see this more in ranked matches), The game is incredibly laggy and choppy. Not sure what can be done to fix this but that is an obvious problem if you're in the middle of combat with another player. Seasonal challenges are fun and interesting. Can’t wait to see what they do for Easter. Christmas, VDay and 25 Anniversary challenges were pretty cool. Keep it up.

Interesting game. If your a fan of FF and enjoying playing battle royal game try this app out. I just finished the download played a couple matches I’m enjoying it. A lot I still got to learn and get used to but I’m having fun. First match I lost because I got mega flared I didn’t really know what was going on but I lost second one came away with the Dub. I’m still debating on getting the season pass it would be the first app if I do. In my opinion to get more players offer two incentives to reduce the price or give the rewards for 2 weeks free. Allow players to invite others so after so many invites you get rewarded with a day a week of battle pass rewards or globaly offer everyone new player a week or two week free season pass to pull in new players. Any players who joined on March 24 will still be eligible. I just started but after a week I think i might buy it. I still might buy it.

Has potential. This game is pretty interesting, in the sense of it trying to pull off a final fantasy game. Which it does on quite a few aspects. The game offers a variety of attacks. You start off with a melee weapon. as you explore the map you get two additional ways of offense. Magic and assault weapons are found through out the map. I like the idea of using magic to take out other players, the variation is pretty amazing, as for assault weapons; nothing out of the ordinary, it’s what you’d expect from a battle royal game. With all this being said, there are a few issues that I find in playing this game. It feels more like a recycled call of duty mobile game. I notice a lot of similarities, same button layout, same way of acquiring items. This game doesn’t really feel like a final fantasy game, it’s just another battle royal game with FF slapped on top of it. Another issue with the game is movement. It can be wonky at times, and it can be hard navigating around. Especially if you are riding a vehicle, you control it with just one finger and it makes it nearly impossible to drive them. FFBR has potential but it needs to stem away from the typical battle royal video game, and make adjustments.

Stop making FF battle royal @@. Its not good .

What the heck!!!! Still not working. My goodnes

Crashing. I thought I liked this game but with the crashes in it are so annoying and don’t know if I can play this again please developers fix this

So much potential gone to waste. I had high hopes for this but it is exactly what I called it leading up to release "an obvious FFVII cashgrab"

Yawn. Watering down the FF7 franchise with a lame battle Royale game.

Pretty fun so far. Enjoying it

I expected more…. I expected this to be an RPG adventure game. Not a FF7 version of Fortnite or Battle Royale. If this is the best Square Enix can come up with, I’m very disappointed…. The only reason I still have it is for the sole purpose of killing time. But still, why the fact that you make it a battle royal out of an rpg is beyond me and I’ll have to say, it’s a very bad choice.

Biased maybe!?. Long time Final Fantasy, specifically 7 fan here! First Soldier is an interesting concept that thankfully borrows from the wider FF7 universe without delving too much into the lore and inserting itself too much. Solid gameplay (playing on the PlayStation backbone one controller personally) stunning graphics (even outside of the experimental 60fps mode) and just overall a great time with lots of missions to do if playing solo. Overall this feels like a very solid contribution to the battle Royale genre, which just so happens to be a love letter to long time FF7 fans with all the nods, music and items.

Should be on console. Needs to be on the switch or anything with an actual controller, the currency is too expensive and the game modes 2 get kinda boring

This game is trash. Bro this game would be so good if it wasn’t a battle Royale. Its not fun when you get hit first by someone just using their weapon, u get knock out and you are down. The guns are good but why start with a sight???? The sights are trash, only shotguns have close rang sights. There’s not point of playing the game if you are new because people who play this game 3 to days before you will have a powerful ability than yours because you can upgrade your abilities and go in to the game and beat new players. Overall it’s not fun but it looks good and could have been a good game.

Fantastic Blend of Battle Royale and RPG. This is a fantastic blend of battle Royale and RPG brought to us by the kings of RPG Square-Enix . A mobile game that allows players to jump in and have the familiarity of titles such as PUBG & CODM thanks to Tencent . This allows players to then focus on the new unique elements to the game knowing that the core menus, button layout and settings are all the same . Square-Enix have done well to add their own touch to this title, and give it a story that ties into the FF7 lore also adding backstory that doesn’t conflict the current FF7 timelines . This Title takes place 30 years before the events of FF7 . The “First Soldier” pretty much sums it up . You play a “Soldier” one of the first successful test subjects by Shinra . ( super soldiers infused with Mako energy from the Lifestream) Your job/task? ….. SURVIVE! Explore Midgar from a new perspective. From the early development stages of sector 7 to the Barron wastelands . What more could you want ?? Well, let’s get into that . ——————— Pros ————————- * Battle Pass - is cheaper then its Mobile BR contenders. (1000 or 2000 for pass bundle) * Battle pass content - This battle pass contains over 100 levels to grind out , with content like guns , skins and player cosmetics that have a higher quality and detail then PUBG & CODM. ( These would be loot box items in the title’s just mentioned) *Free content - this title features a class progression system and challenge rewards on top of the BP rewards . Giving well over 100+ cosmetics, items and currency. * Chocobo’s - That’s right! You can breed and have your own chocobos to ride around on. Along with a farm to visit to feed , breed and interact outside of matches … yes that Golden Chocobo!! (on top of the in game vehicles). *Carry over items - Unlike it’s other contenders, you can collect items in the match that carry over after your match from perks , buffs and equipment. *Controller support- you can connect a gaming BT controller to play . ——————-CONS————————- * Sprinting - sprinting in this game unfortunately is a tap on/off run system ( rather then a hold to sprint ) Can cause some irritation at times in the heat of moment when you want complete control of every aspect . * ADS - ADS is also tap on/off rather then hold. ( could have just missed the option to swap this but so far can’t see it ) * Server Regions - while they do have most regions covered, unfortunately the AUS & NZ players do not have an OCE server. Meaning players of this region will have to play the closest region ( south east Asia) giving a ping of 80-90ms which isn’t ideal for some combat situations . *Audio - sounds in this game are not balanced.. (distance to volume is off) .. vehicles , footsteps, gunfire sound too close when actually the subject is at quite at range. These “issues” I mention are minor and no doubt will be addressed in due time , but still Need a mention. Overall this is a pretty good Free to Play mobile game from Square-Enix . For players not quite up to date with mobile games from Tencent , a good internet connection is a must! This game is recommended to use wifi , or a solid 5g network . The same issues like match drop outs , log in failure ect ect are experienced in both PUBG mobile and CODM. For players looking for a mobile RPG , you can always get the Mobile Ports of the classics *FF5 , FF7, FF8 ,FF9 and FFX are available to purchase in the App Store . For players looking for a MMO you can get Star Ocean from the App Store too. So , what’s the final thoughts ? This is Square-ENIX throwing their hat in the ring of Mobile BR’s . And they achieved this , very well actually and successfully ( if you compare it to the day 1 releases of PUBG Mobile and CODM) They managed to add a backstory that not only fits the title but doesn’t change or take away the lore from FF7 and Advent Children.

Time To Die in this game is atrocious. Honestly, it is way, way too easy to die in this game. You can get two shot killed in the first minute or two of the game by both mobs and people. I’ve never chewed through potions like I have in this one.

Ff br. Not to a happy square Enix

Good attempt but isn’t something I’d recommend. I like your original concepts and twists on the game rather than another generic battle royal, however even if you fix the performance issues the game overall feels awkward to play and the map seems empty and lifeless, even with monsters scattered around the area.

No originality nowadays. There seem to be too many similar new game genres in the store every month. Seeing that this is another battle royale, I am sure some people are already comparing this to PUBG and it is understandable. You can change the game layout, character skins, enemies, environment, etc but you won’t be able to disguise what the game is really about. This game would be better as either an open world RPG or MMORPG. The Final Fantasy name is basically being used to get as much profit as possible, a lot of people would probably give this game a pass if it has a different name.

Ehhh. Only pro is the music. Cons are everything else. Thought it’d be single player but it’s a BR…on a tablet. Ehhhh. SO laggy and drops frame a lot. Skip.

A great battle Royale. I don’t understand people giving this game a bad score just cause it’s a battle Royale. It’s just as good as PUBG or Fortnite, but it has a FF flavour to it.

Disappointed. I was hoping for a MMORPG with a map section as a pvp area. Not another battle royal games this had the potential to be a great third person shooter looter and you blew it by making it a battle royal game where you can die in the first minute of the game and really who wants to spend all their time in the main menu and loading screen. So I won’t be playing it as I hate battle royal games and all the final fantasy games are RPG adventure games wish you had made a MMORPG.

Won’t load. Keep on saying network unstable

Lame. Just another battle Royale. Clunky, boring, not worth your time.

The Best game.. Wow

Best game. I LOVE FF7

Amazing!. In my opinion, this game is just fantastic. It reminds me of playing Fortnite a few years ago, however the game had updated too much and it wasn’t simple anymore. But first soldier is amazing, my only wish is that it was on PC without needing to use an emulator.

Error. Load the game and it say error

Keeps crashing. Average game. Would've been cool with the addition of materia and FF themed touches, but still feels too generic as another battle royale game.

I Disagree. I disagree it has originality, and it would be good to have a new playing field.. very cleaver the way we can change from monk to warrior etc. I am enjoying game but gave you four stars as it crashes a bit much. Thank you for your efforts in developing this game. Hoping you will continue to develop it

Exciting game but….. Hoping there will be more PvE.

Not fun at all. This game is nothing like Final fantasy.

Compelling and Interesting. Forever a FFVII fan, open to many concepts and different additions to the compilation, but this is quite an interesting addition! To the degree as to where you can dive into the universe of FFVII while connecting with others! In a Battle Royale nonetheless! Gaming mechanics and controls feeling very awkward, only due to being a mobile game! But once in a rhythm of fluent movement and control, does roll of very nicely with attacking and spell casting! Listening also to the sound effects and music that sound like they are directly from the legendary FFVII Crisis Core data. Love it! Will be eager to see the upcoming seasons and what the game continues to bring!

Enough battle Royale. Seriously there are so many different battle Royal games either free or paid that it’s enough. You didn’t need to slap the FFVII name onto this as a way to bring in players and bend them over for loot boxes. Could have been so much more fun as a partial open world RPG but no, that’s not worth as much money through loot boxes and skins.

Ignore salty 1star reviews, here's why;. They are just upset Final Fantasy branched out into the Battle Royale genre! This game is actually good. It has unique level-up RPG mechanics during battle as well. There is a lot stronger focus on close-combat / melee also. Different classes and abilities. Lots of epic skins. And it's based in the FF7 universe. I'm grateful for this game. Hope it comes to at least console platforms as well

Love. Absolutely enjoy this game! Cannot get enough of it. Cannot wait for the updates and see how it develops.

So boring game. As a fan of FF more than 20 years. This game is suck, so boring to play. Unballance game play.

Final FNAF. It’s pub g but final fantasy. A little hard to aim, but if you like final fantasy and Battle Royale, you will will like this game.

So close, almost a good game.. We don’t need a battle Royale game with a final fantasy aesthetic slapped on. Some form of MMO would’ve been better. I will say that it is a very good looking game and the gameplay is quite fun before it quickly gets boring. If you want a good battle royale game then play PUBG, if you want to play a good final fantasy game, play FF VII. This game is an unholy mash up.

Better controller support. The game is pretty well made, with the multiplayer working well. The only issue I have is that the controller support for the game is not as well done as the rest of it. For example, I had to check the settings to realise that I needed to hold L1 then R1 to use my first slot of materia. Oh well, at least it’s free.

Addictive, with prospects of interesting growth. As an avid Final Fantasy gamer, I took to this instalment the minute it came out. I have been playing continuously each day, raising high in my rank and season level. It’s taken some time to get the control use to a fine tune, but now roaming the map confidently each game is a breeze. There are plenty of things I enjoy about First Soldier that keep me playing for hours at a time, but it makes me wonder what extra content or modes they will introduce to keep it fresh and interesting. Being a Battle Royale type of game, the repetitive nature can become dry at times, almost grind like. And you can spend many cycles of waiting for a game to start, which makes me think they should introduce something ‘solo’ or ‘story’ based to allow players to game to some degree while finding a lobby to join is hard. I feel that despite being Battle Royale, it’s RPG and fantasy in its core, so the need for a playable story or extra side quests and content would make it even more appealing. It’s early days and they may have many plans, and I’m enjoying my time so far and even investing the odd dollar when something interesting pops up in the shop. I look forward to seeing future content releases soon! Keep up the good work Square First Soldier, to the top!

addictive! haha. absolutely love it. I use a ps5 controller - way better than using the touch screen (for me anyway). one suggestion though: it’d be great to re-watch our own matches once they’ve completed. would be also great to press pause on the viewing and look around the entire map like a drone. maybe even a photo setting too. Oh and once we’ve completed the match, how about a list of opponents we got or the one that got us so we can add each other and play together in future games etc…

FF7FS. This is pretty cool and it’s very straight forward so I am very happy about the game play 🦾

A good looking Ripoff. It’s just PUBG

Was really looking forward to this. Now look it’s not a bad game I’m actually already really getting into it but why just why is it a…battle Royale I was really looking forward to riding my chocobo down the grassy plains but no I just have to shoot a bunch of guys. As I said I’m getting into and it’s not a bad game but in the training match it keeps glitching and I get kicked out the app so I can’t even get past my first match. Please fix this once you do it will be so much more fun. Maybe a battle Royale mode and then free roam.

Great Battle Royale. A fun battle royale game. Runs smoothly and the game play is well done. Quite a lot of nostalgia for fans of FF7 for sure! The different classes and class skills make for some fun combinations and gameplay and I really love the Chocobo hatching/breeding system. Does not seem P2W at all. You can buy aesthetic items for the in-game money. Gil (in-game currency) and many other useful items are found from chests and killing monsters in matches. Definitely worth the download!

GG. Pretty fun!

Awesome. Surprised not 5 stars. More of a Call of Duty game with FF theme but its amazing you can play ~75 other people, on your phone, with smooth operation and little-to-no lag. Some really thoughtful design went into this game. Only wish the movement left toggle could be activated by furthest lower left spot of screen to help get your fingers out of the view area.

It’s alright. I really like it and it’s really fun 👍

Good game. Love it

Nostalgic and fun!. Loving this game! When I battled in Aerith’s church…I fanboyed for the first time in a very long time. The enemies, environments, spells and mechanics are great for a FF mobile game. Should definitely be rated higher and not nitpicked by a fan base with near impossible expectations.

KNOCK OFF. How dare you put a FINAL FANTASY title on FORTNITE!!!!! This is the EXACT same game. PATHETIC!!!!!!!

Best Game out. Love everything about this game.

Try it!. Absolutely love it and plan on grinding it for a while. Give it a try! Kind of like Warzone, Apex, and FF VII Remake combined into a super fun game.

I WAS RIGHT THERE. Literally anytime after 25 minutes of me playing your game it kicks me out for no reason, I have played games just like yours who have no problems with my storage or battery. FIX. THIS. PLEASE. (And also make it so that you don’t get a stroke trying to shoot or drive in a vehicle. Lock on the camera or something. The camera should not lock onto where the characters head is facing but just straight.)

*BEST* battle royal on IOS. Honestly the mechanics are truly superior on this game compared to any other available on IOS. The movement is so smooth and the wall climbing is a huge plus that adds to that final fantasy feel. My favourite part would have to be the use of skills/spells that have an impact in the gameplay but not overly powered. Download this if you enjoy FF or battle royals and you won’t regret it.

Good over all. I find that the game is pretty well rounded but, needs more balancing. There is a fair amount of bugs that needs to be tweaked, nonetheless good game. Looking forward for it to be polished up. One suggestion on future updates is being able to swim? How’s that DV? PS- To that player that commented about Chocobo being deadly, I strongly suggest to go try and kicked by an Emu or and Ostrich, see if you don’t go half life.

AI or real person. I just wondering I’m VS AI or real person? They seem dumb.

Game is fine. Fun game but should be on a more stable system like a console

Crashes at start!. It crashes at the login screen on Iphone 7

Chocobo kill ridiculous. It’s a good game but the chocobos are getting ridiculous, doesn’t matter if you have life full and bunch of arms and materia, just a dumb person in a chocobo gives you one kick and you are dead, it’s ridiculous

Awesome. Great game

Review. I really enjoy this game as it tickles my final fantasy bone with shooter elements and its a battle royal which I thought wouldn’t work but it does and I have fun with it, only downside for me is when the game crashes and sends me to my home screen then I have to relaunch my game and hope I didn’t die

jadore. jaime bien

How to kill a classic - RIP. Why was Squaresoft led in the wrong direction with Spirit Withins movie after making one the best game ever: FF7? FF is all about cooperation; PvP is copied from WoW arena. Why are players battling against each other instead of against Shinra / the energy producer which exploits the planets and the people??? What would of been FF8 about if it would of been made by Squaresoft? This trademark is now used to create Disney-like merry-go-round (Dungeons/Raids). ... Remove FF from the title and paste in “another unneeded fortnite game” but with aaaaaaamazing graphics.... Did I say the graphics were amazing!!!!? ... Epic Fails! Original devs must be turning in their own graves... Can’t wait for your next rushed unneeded released game!

PS/Xbox/NS/PC. As other people said, it would be great if we can see this game on more platforms.

Don’t bother the game is closing in January or February. I was about to try it but they canceled it by February 23 it will cease to exist

Best Game. I don’t even play COD mobile or Pubg anymore this game is all I play now. It’s so good and the music makes me feel great daily

Solid Game. Seems like it’s a fun and well implemented battle royale game.

Fun to play, can see it being around for a long time.. I’m not into battle royales on the phone but with auto-firing, I am comfortable playing this along with the fun magic and 5 jobs. Square Enix I hope this game will live long like Final Fantasy 14.

Fun game. Enjoyable. Id you like Final Fantasy you will enjoy this. I like to run or ride around and have fun not even look for people. Monk is silly though the 8 hit combo is ridiculous I entered one game and the heli controls were not there, it was the regular on foot controls. That game I couldn’t pick anything up and my health never moved from 100 (thought i was invincible till some wyvern thing killed me). Being a mage in a battle royal is exciting

This game is super fun. In a nutshell it’s pubg less toxic super fun very fan based and an amazing game over all not pay to win at all it’s very free to play friendly

Amazing. Games great and plays well. Maybe bring to consoles

Very fun game more magic and more guns. Great game so far would love to see more magic more classes more weapons and new summons looking forward to future updates

AWESOME! AMAZING! XD. I love everything about this game can’t wait for it to come to console! XD

Needs a fix. Great game but it crashes quite a lot.

Holy crap. It’s good

I give it a 5 star. First off amazing graphics and gameplay loving it wish there was balanced lobbies for controllers so that way it’s not taking advantage of the people using the touch screen overall good game

Moyen.

Great game. I like the overall smoothness of the game. I did notice everynow and again though, the game will lag a bit possibly messing up any lined shots or strikes. Other than that I have no issues with the game. I thjnk it is great and kinda gives a more in depth look into exactly what it is to be soldier

So far so good. Played one game and won. Considering retiring with a perfect record. It was a lot of fun!

Excellent gameplay, awful balancing, terrible lag/crashes. THE GOOD Gameplay: - Fast paced and focused on the action with a high skill cap and varied styles for unique player expression. - High TTK and high mobility allows for exciting PvP battles that rewards players for skilled gameplay with plenty of opportunities to outplay your opponents. - Proactively slaying players or monsters rewards you with more HP by levelling up. Looting: - You don’t have to spend a lot of time looting for gear because there’s no gun attachments to loot for. - You don’t need to loot for backpacks!!! - 3 materia slots available (magic) that allows for custom play styles to your liking (offensive/defensive/support/utility) - Looting the map, players or chests are very simple, easy and straightforward. THE BAD - Game has TERRIBLE lag and crashing issues (worst I’ve EVER seen) - Horrible balancing for competitive play. The devs themselves claimed that they do not intend to balance competitively and balance things based on excess/lack-of popularity/usage. This means things can become OP or completely useless even if they were already balanced. It’s especially bad when noobs complain and ask for buffs on things that are already OP, or nerfs on things that are already weak. - Mounts and vehicles had little to no counterplay aside from running away from them. They have been consistently nerfed since release (5 months of patches and they’re still OP) - Indoor gunfights are very difficult because being too close to walls disables you from shooting your gun from gun-to-wall collision. - Gamebreaking shadow buffs/nerfs: apparently SE claims that they don’t do shadow buffs/nerfs but that patching the game sometimes leads to unexpected bugs and results that seem like shadow buffs/nerfs (they’re either lying about this or their balance team is just THAT BAD) - Many premium skins are locked behind a gacha system and are unavailable for direct purchase. - Seasons last 3 months or longer (?) WAY TOO LONG. - Highest rank is easy to achieve because you almost never lose points in ranked. You just have to play a lot to get to SOLDIER Prime. This makes rankings meaningless because almost everyone is in SOLDIER Prime but the skill gap amongst SOLDIER Primes are as wide as the gap between a typical bronze/bottom ranker vs a grandmaster/top ranker. THE GAME IS FULL OF BOTS! It’s not uncommon for you to win by killing the last “player” which is actually a bot or a team of bots…

Make on console and pc. Would give 5 stars if this was on a console or pc . This is a Wasted opportunity

Listen up, ignore bad review idiots. The game is a final fantasy battle royal. There are plenty of Easter eggs for fans and they take care to add music from the games and lots of cool little details. You can use melee weapons, guns, and/or materia to fight. It does well at what is it, which is another battle royale. PS- all the people the wrote bad reviews only complained about the graphics or their personal opinion that they didn’t want a FF battle royale they are all IDIOTS, ignore the useless reviews. If you didn’t want this game don’t play it, doesn’t make it bad. Shutup tools 😂 -The graphics are optimized for phones to work with so many players, never lags and a lot of fun if you want a new twist on battle royale or if you are an FF fan who enjoys shooters. -One thing I agree on is this should be ported to consoles the phone controls are atrocious though.

Great Final Fantasy Battle Royale. I’m very happy with this game. I don’t hate Cloud no more! It gives me an excuse to play on my phone.

FF7 Deep Cut!. Fun, intuitive Battle Royal gameplay. Faithful to the Remake. Controls well. Challenging. The classic music gets me every time. I started tearing up at the menu screen listening to the new arrangement of the main theme. Playing with an external controller makes a world of difference. It was great to see what Midgar looked like before the main, beloved and iconic characters were born, but still weird to figure that Tifa, Cloud, and others weren’t even alive yet.

Fun game, wish it was on console. Honestly, It’s feel a little late to walk into this genre without bringing anything new to the scene. However devs did a great job with all the ffvii nostalgia. Game is fun as a battle royal fan and a ffvii fan. However, even as a mobile game fan.. I’ve always felt action games such as battle royals are best played on console or pc. In this case console would have been best for mobility and use of special skills. I really am supportive of this game, and hopefully they see success as well as opportunities to port it to console. Recommendations to devs. Try to move away from the formula that the other 90 battle royal games use. Try for something fresh. Look at hunt:showdown as an example. Hunt has done a great job balancing all play styles and making players feel immersed into the environment. Also love hunt’s system for fighting bosses etc. it doesn’t feel so empty like Tarkov.. Extraction is nice, if a round isn’t going your way, you can head for exit and keep your loot. Saves time too and gets me into another round sooner.

Season 3 fixed everything. The game had good potential and many problems on launch. Fps 30 being the biggest one. Now they fixed balance issue and raised fps to 60 the game is actually super fun. Only if they did this at launch they wouldn’t lose all the players. What a shame for a great game.

So sad. I loved this game it was fun… but with closing it I lost all interest… what gives to play a game to get gears if it will be useless in 3 months? I’m really disappointed SE

Great game !. Close combat is over powered, and the bots are kinda dumb and it takes a little to long for a match up , only complaints

B. This would make away better console game I would definitely buy it if it was

Cool beans. Without a controller, certain play styles become much more viable than others. But they are still effective and you can have fun competing. It is easy to avoid the in-app purchases. Just explore, have fun, and watch for footsteps.

Awesome FFVII throwback. Having a lot of fun with this so far. Takes some getting used to controlling with phone and I die a lot. But it’s still a good time especially if you’re a fan. Lots of memorable places to explore like the church and such. And using that same intro music (when Cloud jumps off the train) while sky diving into Midgar at the start of a match gets my blood going for action. P.s. Everyone who wrote a review prior to Nov.17 needs to chill and learn to read. The maintenance message told you to check notices… notices sent you to the website, which clearly stated the game was only available for PRE-DOWLOAD and would be available to play at 12am NOV.17 🧐

Decent Idea, wrong system. Should be optimized for and released on console. Switch would be a decent market that doesn’t have much competition.

Wow.. I’ve never enjoyed a battle royals game—until now. Seriously. This slays. It does crash a lot. Hey devs, it crashed three times in my last team match! It’s a miracle no one killed me the first two times! And yet, it’s worth it. I just won my first battle (as in, first place against 75 others) and couldn’t be happier. Fix the crashing, please, but it’s still so good that I just can’t remove a star.
