Terrible UX, Lackluster features…. I have only been selling on Etsy this year, but I was easily acquainted with the original seller app. I appreciated the favorites notifications, especially as a new seller, and being able to click through to view profiles of those who engage with your shop. The dashboard view was excellent and having stats separate was fine too. The new app is such a mess to me (as a designer it’s painful to use). The ONLY feature I like is the live shop preview and ability to add videos. Otherwise I don’t get it. Why remove favorites notifications? Why bury favorites and shop engagement in the middle of the 4th tab as if that’s not an important part of the shop? Why did you remove “views” from the dashboard? When editing listing photos you cannot rearrange them up or down bc the app thinks you’re still scrolling down the page. I’m going to add the original app back again and just hope Etsy doesn’t delete it. For ppl who use the app for shipping and love the new version, maybe Etsy should just make it “Etsy shipping” and give the old app back to everyone else.

Customer Service is NOT user friendly. I have been trying to figure out why my shop was suspended due to information they said needed corrected but was already correct, and the forms gave me error messages every time I tried to submit them, even though the info on them is the exact same as they have on file. I FINALY got through on their chat system (which is also impossible to find a direct link to), and was connected to Andrea. She told me she would get me connected to the correct department, then she left the chat, someone else joined, and then it kicked me off. I went through the same steps to connect to chat again, however this time it would only let me send a message that would be answered in 1-2 days. Meanwhile, my shop is suspended on a weekend when I get the most traffic, and I can reach exactly zero humans to get help. Holy cow, Etsy. Do better for your sellers!!

Ruined the Holiday Season this year. HORRIBLE! This app has been awful, but what has happened during the busiest time of the year for me this year is probably the worst thing that could happen with an app. I was behind like I’ve never been before, losing money somehow, upset customers, it’s been awful. Anyway, come to find out, duplicate orders were showing up in my order log. Not only were they duplicate, but a different icon pic beside the order (if the order had more than one item) was showing beside each one, making it look like different orders in my log. I’m a one person shop, I don’t always open every individual order and read the name and address when I’m checking to see what needs made. I noticed back in Oct I had two order for the same person of the exact two same items- I reached out no response. I sent the two orders. I’ve only come to really notice this when I’m typing in a specific customer to check the status of their order. In the actual log, they aren’t showing up back to back like they would when I just type in the name. Customer service was zero help, told me to delete it, reinstall and just use the internet to check things. The damage has been done, I’ve lost so much money this year and who knows how many customers or even poor reviews. I’ve done everything I can to make it up to everyone but it’s been a nightmare for me. I’m finally going to make the switch to a different platform. Etsy does not help or protect its sellers.

gets one star because you have to vote at least one. I have been a five star seller on Etsy for over six years. A small business intends to grow and this year I have finally reached that growth that allows me, or allowed me the ability to actually survive on my craft. Only to be caught up in the new Etsy restriction game. Where the company is withholding 75% of your sales for 90 days. withholding 75% of a small businesses sales will put that small business out of business. They are driving me under and it is breaking my heart. I fully understand the liability aspect. But your ratio of taking 75% of a small businesses sales for 90 days is only going to do detrimental home. Rework that number and maybe only take 30% for a liability cushion. I highly suggest to anyone wanting to sell some to create their own website and not use this platform that’s going to take all of your money as soon as you’re making money and drive you out of business. The fact of the matter is from day one this platform never really brought me a whole Lotta business. I drove all my traffic from social media outlets. So they did nothing for me and now are driving me under

Okay but not great. I was traveling for a bit and so I thought I would give the new Seller App a chance since they are forcing everyone to it eventually. Overall it is just OK on the iPad. It does have both portrait and landscape mode which was an improvement according to the reviews. I say it’s Okay because it has the basic stuff you need but is missing a ton of features. One example is changing shipping settings. I regularly update my shipping times based on orders to set the right expectation for my customers. However, its no where to be found on the app. It is just a strange thing to omit. I have not tried creating a new listing yet but I am assuming you have to select a shipping method that already exists because there is no way to create a new one. In the end you can do basic stuff like respond and see orders and stats but anything more you have to go to the website. The app is useless.

Abandoned by Etsy. Old app was fine. This one is trash. Bugs, missing simple features like Shop Sections when creating new listings. You can only create a new shop section. That’s been that way, left half done and broken for almost a year now. It’s embarrassing. No support on call, don’t think anybody actually works at Etsy. Also, guess what? You all of those followers you gained over the years? They don’t get any notifications that your shop even has new inventory. Etsy turned that feature off forever ago. Why follow a shop if Etsy wont alert them of all your new items. 100 new unique items and Etsy pushed out a notification of only a few, one week later. The sellers handbook is not up to date. It’s like the company closed but accidentally left their app online. Totally abandoned. Had a nice 7 year run on Etsy but this app, specifically the muting of Shop Updates (yes we follow our own shops so we know this got muted around last year) with no answers from them truly is the end I think. All the awful reviews of this app from longtime sellers who need help and look what they get, an automated “Developer Response” thanking them for their “Valuable Feedback” instead of just fixing one single issue in almost an entire year. The app is actually broken enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple removed it from the App Store.

App is awful - bring back old app. I never leave reviews but compelled on this. This new app is awful! Technology is supposed to make life easier, not more confusing and having to cavity search the app to find things. Etsy developers may have forgot that their main customer base of sellers are creatives and antique/vintage sellers who live a life like it’s 1962 and have to pull out their Victorian era magnifying glass to view the pictures of their listings thumbnails. The old was Awesome. It was easy to navigate and very intuitive to use. This new app is so confusing and so many buttons to click (like trying to find the renewal date of each item is now hidden and not even visible when you click “listing.” You have to click some dots after clicking listing to see it.). It already takes a long time to do listings and this new app takes even longer trying to navigate all these funny buttons and options.. It’s very rare a company creates an entirely new app and whoever designed this did a terrible job. You’re working with creatives, not tech designers. Bring back the geniuses who created the old app because they apparently understood their customer base.

Would be great if screen rotated. I think it’s wonderful Etsy is creating a new seller app. I’ve used it mostly on my iPhone, where I haven’t needed screen rotation, but today I downloaded the new app on my iPad Pro, where I do the vast majority of everything in my life. After downloading the app and opening it on my iPad, I discovered the screen doesn’t rotate to give me a horizontal view, it’s only vertical. So, I went back to the older app and opened it, and made all of my postings to my Etsy shop there. Once I was finished doing what I needed to do, I opened this app on my cellphone and confirmed that screen rotation doesn’t exist in this app. I give Etsy props for attempting to create a better more streamlined appearance and experience, but a basic feature such as screen rotation not being part of the app is a large part of why I haven’t moved over to this new app and won’t until I absolutely have to, or until screen rotation is a feature.

Etsy needs to try again. I hate this app. I dislike it so much that I’m deleting it and going back to just using the browser version. First, if you have any sort of order progress steps set up the app doesn’t count those. I rely on the app to keep track of orders and when they are due. I mistakenly assumed this app would allow me to do that but because I moved two orders to another progress step and took a day off, the app doesn’t even display them. Next, I am unbelievably annoyed with the constant “make a video” nonsense every platform insists on pushing. I have no time to make a video and don’t want to see the same woman on my screen every time I open this app looking like she’s doing something personal… which she’s not… but I am so sick of seeing it. I also dislike that the notifications send me a profile photo of the person who ordered. I don’t need to know what my customer looks like. Just the Etsy logo would make due and be a lot more logical. I don’t need some random person popping up on my screen. The first few times this happened I wasn’t even sure what the notification was for! Make some updates or let us customize what we want to see. Until then, deleted!

Waste of so much time and effort and I’m sure $ on etsys end!. Just tweak the old app to include some of the features sellers have wanted for ages! Nobody likes this app! The people who use it daily find it confusing and time consuming! All you had to do was update the older app…that’s it. Why waste the money? Although I’m sure you have an abundance considering the astronomical fees you charge! The other day I sold an item for $5.00 something…and guess what it was a sale from an offsite ad! So on top of the transaction fee, shipping transaction fee, listing charge, and processing fee I was charge $1.48 for the offsite ad fee!!! Let the sellers opt out of offsite ads!!! Let us decide what’s good for our small business!! *updating my review. After using this app for several months my 1 star remains. The functionality of this app is sub par. It is incredibly slow, confusing, does not have all of the previous abilities of the old app. If you are going to “upgrade” an app, make it better! I have deleted it and will do all of my tasks on my desktop. Very inconvenient, but less frustrating.

Banned for no reason, then ghosted.. One star is too generous! Wish I could do zero stars. Etsy permanently shut down my new account for absolutely no reason at all. I spend al day branding and setting up my shop, making sure everything was filled out perfectly. I didn’t even get to list anything yet, had no balance, no sales, no copyrights infringement, no trademark issues, no flags no complaints. NOTHING! Not only did they shut down my new shop but also my personal account that I used for purchases since 2012! I get an auto response after appealing stating that I am permanently banned and that they will not provide a reason not respond to any emails. What!? What kind of business treats people like this?? How awful! I was so excited to start selling, but now I’m completely disheartened. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong nor will I ever know. I didn’t have any listings yet so what would be the reason? I have never had any prior accounts suspended or any issues whatsoever with Etsy.

Bye. I now hate Etsy with everything they done there driving there sellers away for the new scanner method and there new policies they put they remove your listing for one word you put on the listing even on the description totally unbelievable. They make new police’s and they don’t us sellers and when we violate there police’s they just remove it and they don’t say specifically what terms and conditions you violated. I found my Etsy removed completely with orders I had to still do I had to contact everyone and let them know of the issue some wanted to continue with there orders eles where and some wanted there refund and others I can’t get a hold of which when they find out the shop isn’t available anymore, I know they will freak out and think I scammed them making me look bad I had to announce it on my business social media what happened and some where upset since all my buyers are repeated they recommend new ways for me as a seller because I heard from there side as buyers they are also having difficulty with Etsy it’s making it hard for sellers to sell there stuff and harder for buyers to find items they want. I’m totally done with Etsy and I won’t continue to sell on here my new route is start a TikTok shop! And sell individual through my social media

Money. Yeah it is so unfair the amount of money that you take for my product I paid postage to get the material then I pay postage to send my product back after making that processing fee I agree but the fee for the advertising and the other fee are basically the same thing four point something percent of 15% you’re basically getting 20% by the time I buy gas to take it to the post office Buy product to mail my project and postage I’m making nothing I’m a senior citizen everybody else give senior citizens a break I get nothing you say I’m making you’re the one getting rich rather richer I don’t know how else to sell my product and I’ve been on your thing for a yearAnd that’s basically $.80 a blanket for 180 blankets the cost of putting them on your side I am making nothing it is costing me

Really beginning to hate selling on Etsy. The Etsy seller experience has declined significantly over the past year. I sell natural cosmetic products and apparently Etsy changes it’s terms and conditions regularly and rather than communicating with sellers to notify them that their existing products violate the NEW terms, they simply remove your products from your shop. Keep in mind, the terms and conditions are generic and riddled with jargon and legalese. And this is coming from someone with a PhD. So you never really know how your product description or details violate the terms, just that they do. I’ve contacted support to inquire about how my descriptions are in violation so that I can amend it only to be told that they can’t tell me specifically. I went from 4 products listed, to 3, and then this morning found that they’d removed every item from my shop. I literally cried. Like what kind of practice is this? It’s so unprofessional. I already planned to sell on my own website in addition to Etsy but I think this is a sign that Etsy no longer meets my needs. To just completely remove all of my listings without an explanation and just expect me to be able to sift through your terms to figure it out is so illogical. Do better!!!

worst app ever. i’m not sure why anyone would think this is better than the other app 90% of the time when you click it to go answer customers message you get an error message so far for the past three days it’s not been working if this was to switch tomorrow I would not be able to communicate with my customers unless I was sitting in front of my desktop There’s so many glitches in this app. It makes it impossible to run your shop and I have four I’m trying to manage when I’m away from home. I don’t trust this new app at all. I’m fixing to have to be out of town for 34 days with no other way to manage my shop at my phone next month and I’m not gonna have an app that works if you do away with the old one it’s absolutely ridiculous to try to force us to use this when there’s so many glitches either fix it or dump it but you better not take the other one away until you get this one working. i’ve been selling on Etsy for almost 12 years with Forge Shoppes. This is unacceptable.

Not user friendly and Etsy is not seller friendly. The new app is not user friendly. Essential features are missing or work improperly. Views and visits are never accurate. They change frequently throughout the day and night, so apparently you can lose views and visits from one minute to the next. The following day there might be none at all from the day before, even though they were just there before the day turned over. Maybe if Etsy had taken the money wasted on this app and saved it, they could’ve applied it to saving the sellers money. By the time we pay this fee and that fee and every fee under the sun and eat shipping costs and figure in materials and labor and the time it actually takes to photograph, video and list an item, the mark up has to be so astronomical in order to turn a profit that nothing sells. We have to give our hard work away and etsy is making our fortune instead of us. We are currently exploring other options but hoping that Etsy makes the changes it will take to keep their platform alive.

Worst than ever before. Seriously this app has no credibility to function or give basic notifications of messages/reviews/purchases! How can we accommodate customers based on their stupid metrics that they measure for us to give prompt responses to customers or even know if we have sold anything to begin with! It’s absolute nonsense who ever developed this app really couldn’t do the job properly! We have been submitting issues with this app since January but instead of improving they are making it worst…many features aren’t available like the old app and we would have to use desktop but many people work from phones and can’t have desktop available everywhere…instead of upgrading they are degrading Etsy overall! Every now and then they have platform issues which causes many customers to steer to Amazon…or not purchase! I thought Etsy is for small business owners but it seems like they care more about their P&L statements for their investors than those sellers that are giving them hefty fees on every item they sell! Current CEO is making Etsy fall just like he did eBay - that’s the fact of the business and reality!

Frustrating.. I’m so frustrated that this is supposed to be the “new” app but I find myself having to go back and forth between this one and the old version every single day. It wastes a lot of my time and renders this new app moot. If you’re going to upgrade the app to a new one, please make sure you bring over all of the old app features and then ADD to them on the new app. Don’t take things away and make it confusing the way that it is. The new annoying thing that’s happening is I keep getting signed out whenever someone favorites an item and the notification comes through- I have to sign back in and I use two factor so it’s tedious and annoying. This new app is just not the vibe and it makes absolutely no sense to expect us to switch over to a new app that doesn’t even accommodate us as sellers in the way we were used to from the old one. It’s not an upgrade in the slightest- it’s a ridiculous downgrade! Using this new app has been SUCH a headache! I suggest doing a Q&A via email where we as sellers can actually communicate our issues and asking us what we want to be changed and going from there. Please don’t get rid of the old app until you fix this one! It needs a LOT of improvement before I would ever feel comfortable using this app by itself.

Super glitchy and completely unusable. I recently started selling with Etsy so I’m still learning a lot of the features the mobile app has to offer. I mostly just use my computer and have zero issues but with internet problems I have to go through the mobile app. One thing that makes me absolutely despise this specific app is that it is SUPER glitchy. At first I thought it was my phone but I noticed it is only when I use the new Etsy seller app. The old version gives me no issue but I am physically unable to use or even log into the new Etsy seller app because it types random numbers and goes to random password reset screens. It’s not a phone issue as I have zero issues with any other Etsy app or app in general so they have a lot of bugs to fix and from what it looks like from other reviewers, a lot more features to add. I also noticed that the old app is not going to be supported as of May so that’s also a bit disappointing to be limited where to get info on your business.

Old version is more business-friendly. This version is soooo lacking in being business-friendly. The option to renew listing all in one go is gone. You need to click and renew one at a time. Second, it used to be that sellers can see a repeat buyer’s history and their reviews of previous purchases. Gone. Still no way of doing refunds or cancellations of orders on the new app too. Oh and the ability to actually revise or edit a listing is gone. May I also add that running a true report of income and sales is really hard? You gotta run multiples and combine and do your own accounting when it is just one easy click on Shopify. It is not like data is not there. It is. Just that the developers never really looked into what the AVERAGE user (aka small sellers) need. So where is the supposed improvement again? I do not see any benefits to this. This is going back in time to maybe the draft beta version. The inability to be more small-business-focused is going to kill etsy. Soon. A lot of just leaving.

What is this and why?. Why can’t you figure out after all these years and how much money you make off of everybody how to make a great app that has everything sellers need if you can’t figure out how to make an app that caters to both sellers and buyers which you should be able to do also. Depop Macari eBay and Poshmark all can do this but for some reason Etsy the handmaid famous say that now takes way too many fees cannot ? everything should be able to be done in a simple app and start mixing social media with hashtags and videos and challenges with explore I want nothing to do with that a nobody I know does either we can promote our own stuff on Instagram or TikTok if we would like we are not looking for another social network we are just looking for a place to quickly list our items on our phone if that’s what we are doing be able to print a label more easier without opening it into a browser *** And communicate with buyers edit listing seamlessly should be able to edit the photos 100% from rotation cropping and all of that

if you run a small business, DO NOT USE ETSY. this isn’t necessarily an issue with the app, but with etsy in general. it is no longer a secure platform for sellers, and it may be difficult to find a different marketplace, but it is worth avoiding etsy. the only issue used to be regarding its seller fees, but now etsy is randomly suspending new shops for multiple months or, in some cases, including mine, permanently for absolutely no reason. i was not given a single email to explain why i was suspended only a day after making my shop, but apparently etsy is notorious for doing this. i saw other people were let back in after a couple of months and was hopeful but for three months, they did not respond to my emails. then i tried to appeal and within five minutes (ironically) they sent me an email saying i have been permanently suspended and they could not repeal the decision. i’ve also heard other sellers say they have been randomly put on vacation mode (again without explanation) and ended up unable to sell for extended periods of time, which can be detrimental to someone whose only form of income is etsy. it is not worth the trouble.

Bring back the old app! Listen to us!. I’ve been using the new app since they forced us to use it solely over the old app. It’s terrible and Etsy is NOT listening to us sellers. What is going on with the thumbnail photos? No matter how much I edit and properly align my photos (on the app or even online), my thumbnail for my main photo listing is always wrong and blown up to where you can’t even see my full product. I use the “adjust my thumbnail” function. Also, when I’m creating a new listing it constantly freezes up while I’m doing the description and then I have to start all over which makes me SO mad! I’ve learned I have to go into my notepad on my phone and type the description there then copy and paste into the app. Nothing loads correctly so I’m constantly going out of the app, closing that window to “refresh”, then going back into the app. Every day it tells me how many views and visits. I can check it at 11:59pm at night then check it the next day with the yesterday tab and it’s vastly different. Are you telling me I received 150 visits in one minute Etsy when you said I only received 60 for the entire day? I sell internationally and can only create international labels through the online site. Why can I create US labels through the app but not international labels? As you can see…. We are having a real TIME with this app. We are posting the same things in Etsy seller forums and we are ignored there as well.

A step backwards compared to old Etsy app. There are too many things that you used to be able to do in the old app that you just cannot do in this new app. It’s like a completely new team designed this app without consulting the old app. A couple of examples, you cannot bulk edit in this app, cannot select multiple listings to update inventory or change shop sections or shipping profiles. Also, you cannot select and copy any sort of text from order notes. This is a necessary feature. When messaging someone I often copy and paste back to them their order notes. Now I am expected to type them out manually? The app is beautiful in presentation but they went for form over function. I would much rather have a less aesthetic app that has full functionality including all of the small details that the old app allowed. The new app designers aren’t taking actual shop owners into account when they designed this apps. They should have consulted shop owners and incorporated everything from the old app.

Fix it and make it comprehensive!. We pay so much in commission to Etsy I have expectations for a near-flawless app. However, while they FINALLY fixed the typing issues in messages (thank you!!!), the messaging portion of the app is still glitchy. I use that part so much in collaboration with design with my customer and it has an annoying bounce if you scroll too far back in the conversation. Recently the app crashes when I’m in Messages. Also, I have several times when I send photos and I get error messages that they haven’t sent. Then the next day I find messages have spammed the pictures over and over to my buyers! So not professional. I don’t know how many times I have to apologize to customers that “sorry, Etsy is glitchy right now”. I also want ALL features within the sellers app. As it is I still have to go into a browser and shop manager to do simple tasks like uploading new photos for a listing, or custom income searches. Let’s get this all together and be comprehensive for sellers in one app. It’s frustrating when Etsy is taking nearly $100 from each of my orders and that’s the “service” I’m paying for.

Etsy won’t listen. The app is unusable, takes forever to open and forever and a day to upload pictures if it works at all! It doesn’t matter if it is one picture or ten it takes multiple minutes. Slowing down the listing process will not make Etsy more money. I now have to use my browser. I have the pictures on my phone so I used to upload my pictures then save it as a draft and finish descriptions on my computer. Now with the app it will take 5 minutes to look like it’s loading the pictures then say sorry couldn’t upload contact Etsy support. Which I literally do not have time to sit all day trying to contact them. So back to 5+ years ago when I have to somehow get my pictures to my computer where I can upload them using the web browser. And now they are trying to change that format and so far my testing of that has been similar to the app, it works very infrequently and wastes my time! I guess their goal is to make listing slower therefore fewer sales and lower my profit because now I have many more hours into this process. If this continues I wonder how many people will look to other platforms. So disappointed! I used to enjoy selling on Etsy.

It’s ok. I never used the old app. I started as a seller with this app, only. So, for me, it is somewhat decent. I am not comparing it to something else. I do wish it had more things that the browser offers. Also, as some have said, you don’t really know your stats on this app. It’s completely inconsistent in that regard. Each page says something different and each page is inaccurate. Also, there are times the listings I put in using the app do not save everything. I.e.: when creating a listing based off another listing, it t doesn’t always save the picture changes. Even if you preview and it looks correct, you publish just to realize later that is totally messed up and didn’t save all of your changes or additions, etc. That to me is a major deal. I have stopped using it to add listings for this reason, which I feel would be one of its best attributes, if it worked consistently.

Old app much better. This new app is really annoying and bad. When I make listings, I add lots of text for the description and it erases what I had if I go to the next part of the listing so I have to do it all over again. When making custom listings it sends the listing link many times as I add images to the listing so the customer thinks I sent the link many times. If I’m looking for an inventory item it often doesn’t show up but I can find it easily in the browser version. When I’m in the browser version the app tries to open when I’m trying to print an invoice and this is annoying. The old app used to have a way to see all listings in a category whether they were sold out or active or inactive or expired and the new one only shows one status at a time and has many inconsistencies about how to access the items I am looking for. There’s more but I don’t have time to list all the things wrong with it.

Can’t tell what date listings expire. There was nothing wrong with the old app. I could find what I needed easily. There is no real added value /improved functionality of this so-called new and improved app. But there are many things that I can’t find or that are missing totally or that don’t work well. For instance, I can’t see anywhere on a listing the actual date when it when it expires. I can sort by expiration date, soonest or latest. But I can’t see the actual expiration date. So when I go renew listings, I have to do that from my home computer instead of my phone now. Like the so-called improvements on the Etsy that I use on my laptop, the new improved smartphone version is actually clunkier with more things to wade through. And there is a long lag time between clicking on something and when it pulls up, unlike on the old app where things pulled up instantaneously. I don’t know why Etsy keeps changing things to keep Etsy sellers confused and wasting time trying to get things to work or trying to find things that used to exist on the old app, rather than just updating and fixing the existing app. The functionality isn’t there. We are told to switch into the “old Etsy” to fix things because they haven’t gotten them working in the new platform. Sheesh.

Clunky and USELESS. I want to start by saying that I am someone who can adapt to change, especially something as measly as an app. I’ve had BOTH the older version and this app downloaded on my phone for about a YEAR now, and have been trying my very best to use both and get acquainted with the new one. By now, I should have learned all the ins and outs of the new app. This new app is just awful. NOTHING for me has been made better with this new app. It’s confusing, hard to find the correct data (data also doesn’t update in real time.) I miss being able to open the app and see my views and visits. Also, now I cannot see how many orders a customer has had just by looking in the messages (I offer my customers a rewards program based on how many orders they have placed.) this can now only be done through a browser. Even the new editing tool to add new listings is very limited and I often get a message saying something along the lines of “cannot do that in the app yet.” Please PLEASE bring back the old app or at least rearrange this app to make is easier to find what we are looking for. I don’t care if it’s prettier it’s completely useless.

Never Liked This New Blue App. Update: Just now I was forced to use the new blue Etsy App. It is totally unusable for me as there is no expiration date on the list of items that are about to expire. Bring back the original app as it worked perfectly for my needs. Many other features of the new app is harder to use than the old app. Today, an update to the app occurred and I use it to renew my many items that are about to expire manually. I space them out so I don’t have too many to be renewed on one day. The expiration date was taken off the each item’s listing with the update as it displayed on each item before the update. Now I have to go through numerous steps to view each listing’s renewal date. It is basically useless at this time so I just downloaded the old app version. The blue version keeps getting much worse than the original old orange version as there are way too many bugs and incorrect information. Why upgrade an old version app that has been so dependable and easy to use with constant mistakes with the new version? A company of your size has an obligation to all of the shops to make a dependable app. Please fix.

App malfunctioning for months and affecting my sales. For the past couple months I have been trying to upload photos to my listings and have had problems non stop. I was able to get maybe 8 listings done before the past couple months, but i have a slew of draft listings just waiting for photos. App wont let me upload photos so for the busiest sales time of the year I havent been able to make my listings. I contacted etsy support and they said its my problem and they have no issues with their tech 🤥. I tried uploading photos on wifi and cellular, i reset my wifi several times, i took all new photos and made sure they followed all the etsy guidelines (which they were already following but i did it again just to make sure), i tried on phone and desktop computer, i tried taking photos within the app and nothing will upload, even taking photos within the app wont upload! Whats the point of this website if we cant even make listings?? This is a side business for me but if this was my main income I wouldn't have been able to pay bills for months! Etsy do better! You guys charge a ton of money to list, use some of that to improve your tech so it actually works. Im about to quit and use mercari or ebay or some other resale website.

DON’T make us switch to this app.. Please don’t remove access to the old Sell on Etsy app. I love the old app as it is and find the new app confusing, not logically organized, and lacking in features. I much prefer the functionality of the old app over the appearance of the new app. These are my top two complaints at this time: I miss seeing my listings ranked by views on the Listings tab like they are on the Stats tab of the old app. I also miss the ability to choose the time period, “sort by” (views, orders, revenue), and listing type to sort my listings. It is frustrating that the new app is so limited in its sorting features on the listing tab since I rely on these features so often in the old app. With the “expiring soon” and “top selling” buttons, I wish they would at least show all the listings in the rankings rather than just the top ones. For each individual listing, I miss the graphical representation that the old app showed for views, items sold, and revenue, as well as the graph for orders and revenue (with dollar amounts). The old app also showed a pie chart of traffic sources, several pages of search terms, and a line graph for favorites. The new app has NONE of that. These were all very helpful features that I relied on daily in the old app.

Etsy Sell on Etsy App Is Better. It seems that Etsy created Etsy Seller to compete with Instagram Reels, but it doesn’t compare. The effort it takes to create content tailored for the Etsy selling community isn’t a good use of my time. I would welcome an extra area on the web version of Etsy to post photos and videos that isn’t all the way at the bottom of the page with the Shop Policies. It would also be nice if the Shop Story had it’s own tab on the web version. Currently, the Sell On Etsy app serves my needs for mobile, mainly to be aware of orders, messages and activity for my shop. The detailed stats are better viewed on the desktop. In addition, the Sell On Etsy app is a cleaner design. If Etsy wants to dive into the social spaces, it would be more helpful to be able to post content from instagram to a feed on my Etsy. As a one-woman operation, I can only split my time so many ways!

Doesn’t do what I need (Updated). Every time I needed to do something for my shop on my phone, I couldn’t get it done in this app. I switched back to the old app and am now able to do what I need to do from my phone again. Use “Sell on Etsy” instead. This app will do some things, but mostly isn’t worth having. Update 4-7-23: I have had to move to this app after the other was phased out (or my phone just stopped running it). I am pleased with some of the new features, but the app still doesn’t do everything I could do with the other. Creating listings is simpler in this app, and I hope to be able to add photos to private listings when creating them soon. This app was definitely released too early. It should have been fully developed before its initial release. Changing from 2 stars to 4.

inaccurate, redundant, shall i go on?. i really don’t understand the point of adding this app.. there’s a sliver of things that i can do easily on it that are maybe harder to find, or not features on the other app, but then just add it!! or make it easier to find!! redesign the old app or something, because they’re way way too similar to be two different things. im also noticing that on every page, & between the apps, there’s completely different numbers relating to my views, visits, link clicks, etc. i have no CLUE what’s going on in my shop at any given moment because everywhere i look, i’m being told something different. i usually look at the line graph because it seems to be the most accurate, but even then, it’s not updated consistently. maybe that’s the problem between all of them, that they update at different times, but all i know is i won’t know what my numbers look like until the next day most likely, then i can see what happened. once again though, even THEN sometimes the chart is lower than another number so i don’t know which to believe!!!! im really annoyed with that, mostly. any other minor bugs are sugar ants compared to the hornet of nothing being clear & accurate. also, once again, just take this app off the market. make the changes you want to make to the old app, add new features, whatever. im keeping them both for now to get a general consensus of what my numbers MIGHT look like, but seriously, do better etsy

Needs chart for revenue. I like the old app better but unfortunately they have disabled it. This new one doesn’t even have a chart for revenue, which is the most important and exciting aspect of specs/insights, nor does it have last year’s comparison. Those were the two features I used most on the old app. Also, etsy needs to add pay dates so we can choose which specific days of the month to be paid. For instance, to be paid the first of the month or every other Friday, etc. They only have the options for daily, weekly (on Mondays), biweekly (every other Monday), and monthly (the 5th of each month.) Please listen to your customers, Etsy. Also, after 10 years of selling on Etsy, I received a warning that I wouldn’t be paid and my shop would be put in vacation mode if I didn’t provide my phone number. Seems a little extreme, don’t you think? Also, the message response rate is ridiculous. It’s always saying I didn’t get enough messages responded to within 24 hours, when not all messages require a response. And when it says tracking wasn’t uploaded in time because it was a holiday weekend and the post office was closed, it shouldn’t count against us.

New app is good!!. There are lots of negative reviews on the new Etsy seller app. I was reluctant to get it because I hate change in general but honestly it’s pretty cool. The layout is a lot more sleek and modern than the old “Sell on Etsy” app. There is an option to ‘copy’ a preexisting listing and make necessary edits (very helpful tool if listing multiple items that are similar but have a few different details and/or need different photos). You can now post public replies to you reviews which is a very nice feature that was not previously available. The only thing I don’t like is this new app doesn’t have the ‘Sell with Square’ tab which I actually used for craft fairs. Also the Etsy transaction fees are getting kind of insane but I guess that doesn’t have to do with app directly. Anyways, just wanted to say if you’re freaking out because the old app says it’s being shut down on May 23 - download the new one.

Lame.. The old app was perfectly fine. Not the best, but efficient enough and a few updates would have made it excellent. This new app interface (that sellers have no choice but to use) looks like it was designed for desktop rather than mobile devices. The layout of listing drafts is now a tiny list rather than the previous larger, visible tiles. I can barely read my listing titles. It also has strong beta vibes, which makes me think my work will get lost due to some glitch. More importantly, I just can’t see what I’m doing. I’ve done ecomm and online marketplace sales for over ten years, and I have to say the app developers do not seem to have taken the end user experience (Etsy sellers) into consideration when designing the app. I’m sure over time they’ll listen to the feedback, but maybe they won’t? Ideally Etsy would have invested their time and money into faster listing solutions. For example, an option to upload a csv file. Or maybe even a bulk listing and photo upload tool.

Disappointed!. If I could give this new app zero stars, I would. I hate everything about this new app and agree with about 100% of what everyone else who left a one star review is saying. It looks like it was designed for desktop use, rather than mobile devices. Everything is smaller (it’s killing me!) - listing is painful and VERY slow to load. I hate the list format for listing now and it’s also aesthetically displeasing. When editing photos, it will not let you simply drag them where you’d like or even crop them properly/to my liking. VERY LIMITED. Where did the “REARRANGE” function go? I used it ALL THE TIME! The old app was near perfect and anything that may have needed fixing could’ve easily just happened by updating it, like every other app out there. As a longtime Etsy seller, I am exceptionally disappointed and will be adding this to the long list of reasons why I will likely be going elsewhere to sell within the year… And don’t even get me started on the disappointment and vast unpredictability of my lack of sales on Etsy this year, despite having the most inventory I’ve ever had. Do better Etsy!

Glitchy and lacking. Every other second something will glitch, writing to customers, even scrolling through the message to read details, everything about this app is not only worse than the old one design wise, ironically enough, but also mechanic wise, its so glitchy it makes no sense, also putting into account how long it has been around already, such small bugs should have been fixed long ago and it’s making it insufferable to use and also makes it stressful to have a simple conversation. When writing a message it would glitch and not let you edit a word since it would keep on moving down or up, it’s like the all it’s l constantly forcing you to do something else, same with scrolling, you would scroll up and it would glitch and start pushing you down or you would scroll down and it would randomly, exactly at the same spot glitch and force you to go all the way down. And this will keep on happening no matter what. This has been a problem for a couple of months and I can’t believe there is not a single fix in any of this.

Why can't we have nice things. The old sell on etsy app was miles better and I didn't accidentally swipe out of or just plain lose my listing progress randomly like I do on this app constantly. And I tried to go and print an order receipt and packing slip from the mobile site on Safari so I don't have to try and print from my computer every single time I make a sale but it won't let me print it without redirecting me to the new app which doesn't even have a feature to print those out either, so I have to turn on my slumbering beast of a desktop just to print my orders out. The old app was way better and I wish they would have just added in some of the newer features instead of removing it to replace it with an even worse version. Edit: So you can only access the print function to print orders AFTER YOU COMPLETE THEM! What good does that do for me when I need to print the packing slip and receipt before I complete my shipping? That is so backwards🤦‍♀️ bring back the OLD APP!

Still needs major improvement. I’ve been using the old seller app for the last 4 years now, and have recently decided to try this new one out. There are definitely some “new features” that the old app didn’t have before, such as being able to now cancel orders in the app (before, you could only cancel on browser), or now categorizing orders by dates, etc. There’s a little bit more stats, and of course, the explore and discovery pages. However, there are still a lot of glitches and some features that were omitted from the old app, so I have had to go back and forth depending on what I need to do. For example, the old app allows you to add private notes to orders - the new app does not have this feature. I have found that the spacing and text is sometimes altered or jumbled together in the new app, but fine in the old one. All in all, I think there needs to be a lot more improvement on the new one for it to work seamlessly.

Etsy doesn't care about it's sellers. As of now Etsy is forcibly holding money I have made and refusing to pay me because my account has a "reserve." Not for any actual reason, just because they arbitrarily decided to put hundreds of sellers on reserve needlessly... just read the reviews I'm not alone here. Now I'm being told I won't get MY MONEY until I make another sale. They just won't pay me until I sell more items?? How can a business operate that way? I cannot afford shipping costs without being paid the amount I earned on the sales. At this point my only options are loosing money or canceling the orders because I can't afford to send them out. Etsy does not care about the tiny businesses on here or how their poor business decisions impact people. You're stealing money from me and holing my own business hostage against my will. Im not even sure this is legal. Etsy has become a horrible joke. Leaving and finding a new platform ASAP, because I genuinely can't trust this company with my money or company.

The old one was better. I really wanted to like this but there are so many features that are missing or only half function. For example, I can barely find my own listings - sometimes I will type something like “necklace” trying to locate an existing listing to share with a customer or on social (or trying to copy an old listing) and it will tell me there are no listings at all with that term in them when there are dozens of necklaces in my shop. This happens with several different terms, making it difficult to locate most items from my vast inventory. I also don’t see anywhere to rearrange my shop listings either, which I love to do on the go as this function eventually malfunctions when editing it on a pc or laptop. Having to renew expired listings individually, one by one (and not being able to easily tell that I have expired listings from my dashboard) is a minor inconvenience that makes renewing listings a task for the computer now. I also wish I could search “all” of my current and previous inventory in one category instead of only being able to search my active, expired, sold categories one at a time. One positive thing is I like being able to see who is a repeat customer. I wish I could easily pull up their past orders though. I also like the option to add content via “Explore”. All in all it needs some work and I think we deserve the investment into making it more efficient!

SHARE button not working, not able to copy personalization text. I was never able to find a share link on the other app, at least I never found it so had to open the browser and copy the link of a listing to share in a message. Now I see that they have put a share button but when clicking share, the app blinks and nothing happens 🤦🏼‍♀️ On the other hand I see that now we can share a listing directly in the messages, congrats for that! Also the messages you were writing used to disappear from the box when you changed of app, now they stay there! Great done 👍🏻 ****CONS: 1) I don’t like the minimun info displayed on the orders tab. Not able to see custom notes I added unless I open each order. On “Sell on Etsy” we were able to see orders with notes all in the same window. 2) I can copy the address but not the text that the buyer submitted on "personalization" to customize the product, have to go to the browser again. Useless.

Inventory, tracking, & Drafts. It is sooo frustrating when I’m trying to do inventory and I cannot find a piece! It is a bracelet for example and I search more in depth Pearl Bracelet nope nothing. Sometimes I don’t even see it in all the bracelets?? So I go back out go to my full shop and have to go through all the pages to find it!! Then I go into the listing and make sure I have it in the right section & IT IS!!! This is super frustrating & an inventory nightmare!! My next frustration is tracking. I cannot believe Etsy has not come up with a way for us to put into the “tracking info” a number when selling in person??? I was just using a tracking number that was already used and it worked for years. But now I cannot do that and my rating for shipping has gone down. When the customer not only got the piece earlier than if it was shipped, then left me a 5 star review and wonderful message in my shop!!! My last complaint is WHY did they change (Create Draft)when I am putting in a new piece of inventory into my shop I have to completely finish all fields of the description!!!! I cannot start it then save it as a draft??? Why even have this option if you have to finish it?? I LOVED the old one I could go in start a new listing then if I got busy I could save it then go back later & finish it then post.

Frustrating, for now.. I’ve been using this app for a few months now and it has its ups and downs. I’m not sure what the point is in making an entire new seller app instead of updating the old one, but I’m giving it a chance. Starting with the pros: The app’s UI is quite nice; Simple, visually appealing, easy to navigate. It runs smoothly, everything loads faster than the original app and the web version. The original app was a detailed learning curve, but it’s manageable with experience - This one is easy to pick up in only a few days. Cons: The problems lie mainly in its lack of features. It has the basics, but I often run into roadblocks while listing items and find myself just giving up and opening the web version in the end anyway. I also have to open the website to edit any shop settings. The private messages are also weird. When I try to go back and fix typos, the text box jumps around and the cursor just ends up somewhere random in the text, not at all where I tried to click. Talking to my customers is a huge pain because of this. Conclusion: So far, the app is really only useful for quick on-the-go checkups on your shop, not entirely running it. It has potential, but desperately needs the complete features of the website’s shop manager and a fix for the private message problems. I will happily update this review in the future if the situation changes.

Leave it to Etsy to make an even worse app than the one they had. This app is ridiculous. It feels like the old BETA ETSY which was clunky and bold faced like this horrible app that we have been forced to use. I can’t find anything on this stupid app. It took me FOREVER just to find a LISTING that I needed to deactivate. Omg how does Etsy keep getting worse and worse? It’s truly remarkable that anyone ever sells anything on Etsy!! Sell outs to China. Saying that an item is handmade because someone put a charm on a chain. Allowing modern day Shein as vintage. This company has ZERO integrity and is so far fetched from what the buyers and sellers loved about it, in the beginning, it’s disgusting. Instead of spending time and energy forcing sellers to use this HORRIBLE APP you should have just fixed what was wrong with the old one. At least THAT one was somewhat easy to navigate. Even though we spent years complaining about how one swipe would make your whole listing disappear. This is your answer to the problems with the old app??? A horrible clunky antiquated user face embarrassment????

Horrible platform. I bought several pngs from a business on Etsy that I used to make shirts with and sell on Etsy but every time I go to post it it automatically gets deleted I don’t understand how this is fair for one seller to sell LV printsBut as soon as I go to posted it they automatically remove it. I have reached out to Ashley multiple times about how I bought it from another Etsy seller but they don’t care at all. Bad business if you ask me but🤗they also have horrible customer service they don’t even understand anything that you’re saying. Also I have had multiple deposits that were supposed to be deposited on a certain day and instead end up getting deposited five days later and the Etsy support team had no idea why it was doing that nor were they helpful at all I talk to you at least 20 different people and they all told me something different but at that point there was no one else I could talk to to actually fix the problem or anyone that knew how to fix the problem. This platform is absolutely ridiculous I do not recommend using it also their fees are ridiculous. I made right at $1000 this month as a new Etsy seller and about $600 of that was considered profit the other $400 went to shipping and fees which is insane!!! Not to mention the price of sweatshirts and shirts and other stuff I have to buy an order to sell so I profited maybe $100 out of the $1000 please don’t make the same mistake I did❤️

Scammers!. DO NOT USE THIS APP! It is full of scammers. I got notifications from the app to check my emails so I could update my details pending my first sale. So I opened the email and followed the instructions, now I have to get a new card etc because they have been withdrawing money from my account. I’m not an idiot, the email looked so legit. Not happy!

Scam?. I recently sold my first order. However when i went to my bank to check if money had been deposited it wasn’t there. Etsy seller said i had received money then it said i needed to update my bank details? I did. Multiple times. I was still not able to receive my money, wondering when i’ll get my money for my order!?!?

Not happy. I have multiple shops and I can’t know which shop got orders until you switch to all accounts to find them find out. Quite annoying and i didn’t get the numbers on the app icon, so I could late or miss the orders. Also when you use it on my mobile, the photo is too small on the order detail page and hard to address which of the option was chosen when they are very similar. It’s also because they don’t show us which photo is link to which variant. I can’t send the wrong product , so it’s really important for me and it’s waste of time I go between the order age and the listing page again and again all the time.

Useless on iPhone. Takes 10 seconds, at least to load and get into the app. This is the worst app I’ve ever used. The previous version was so much easier and quicker to use. This is so slow. Got a hold down two seconds to paste copy in. Far from being user friendly, quite ridiculous in this day and age with the amount of money you guys make get your act together

Slow and missing features. I’m not really enjoying the new app at all and much prefer the older seller app. It’s slow to load and missing lots of features that were available on the old app. It’s frustrating not being able to renew or activate multiple listings at once.

Scammers. Where do I start. I started my store, and got my first order today! I was so excited. I went to confirm the order, put my details through, all was fine. 2 hours later, people were taking HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. Lucky this was a debit card, or else I would have sued the company. This is not a joke, this is serious. This is a scam. Do not sell on Etsy, they take you’re money. This is a disgrace. Whoever is in charge, if you are reading this review. You should be ashamed of yourself. I trusted you and you attempted to take hundreds of thousands of dollars. There needs to be serious scrutiny of the people here. Beyond a joke. It is more than a disgrace. I can’t stress enough DO NOT SELL HERE, THEY TAKE YOURE MONEY. I would rate this in the negatives.

Old app is better. The design of this new app is horrible and looks bad on landscape view on iPad. Bring back the old app! Why change things for the worst when it wasn’t broken. Stop using our etsy fees for rubbish redesign like this. Please do proper user testing with your apps and involve real sellers.

Wish the old app was live…. This app misses so many features the old one did. Why create a new app that doesn’t have the same features we need to run our store. Like seeing which listings are getting views, being able to print invoices etc. if I have to go to the site for everything what’s the point of the app?

Not as good as the old app. Wow, it’s really painful to manage your listings in this App. Ie it can’t show me my recently sold items easily, won’t allow me to bulk renew, won’t allow bulk edit. I used those features a lot! Why not bring the good features over to the new App first?

Dragging themselves into ebay territory. Etsy is dragging themselves into shameful ebay territory to feed their gym junkie animal a quick buck. Opening to India where sellers are undercutting sellers having to contend with much higher expenses.. This is going to drive people away and cause some to join rather than fight causing the rise of cheaper items at cheaper quality. What next, open in China to feed more investors and keep the hungry animal happy. PLEASE PLEASE try and keep the magic on Etsy which is what sets it apart from the rest. Don’t become piggy losers.

Sellers app. Cannot download to my Apple Watch. It would be great if you could to at least get notifications of messages and sales.

Parcel Scanning?. Good app. Clean display. Would like to be able to scan parcels QR codes or barcodes for adding tracking rather than typing in.. Can you add this Etsy?

Can’t edit shop 🫳🤷‍♀️👎. I’ve found that I need to keep the older Etsy seller app if I want to use this new one (which is annoying with the double notifications). I prefer the layout of the new app but it feels like a downgrade with the missing edit shop features. There’s a pop up box which directs users to login to a desktop to edit the shop - however you can still edit the shop with the old app. Weird. Just add those features to the new app and delete the older version?

Sell on Etsy App is Better. The Etsy Seller App is actually quite glitchy and not user friendly to use. You can’t do nearly half the things you can on the sell on Etsy app. Etsy Seller won’t even let you do something as simple as pasting a link to send to your customers via messages. It is painful to use and I don’t enjoy using this app at all. I was quite disappointed when I found out that the Sell on Etsy app will no longer be supported soon and we have to rely on this app now. There was nothing wrong with the Sell on Etsy app in the first place!!

Love the improvements on the New App. Although it’s natural to miss the older App’s interface and features, it’s been a great update. Like all things in life, it is not perfect but hoping it gets better with every update.

Unauthorised ad listings. No matter how many times you switch of advertising for your listings it manages to pop back on without you turning it on yourself. Before you know it you are owing Etsy money and all your revenue is depleted. I’ve contacted Etsy on this issue in the past but they just say ‘you must’ve switched it on’. I checked my listings the last two days and nothing was listed. Today, three listings have been advertised without my consent.

Landscape. I can’t use this app how it is right now. I use my iPad for this app and it only has portrait mode - which means that I’ll be using the old app unless they change this because I can’t use it like this. Pretty big oversight, and surely something that can be remedied.

Old app is way better. How to take a great app and wreck it. I get a notification that someone has left a review. Click on it - doesn’t take me to the review. The old app is more similar to the website so it makes more sense. I downloaded the old app again and will use that for as long as I can.

SCAMMERS: DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I was very excited to start up an account and start selling things however after a very confusing and long verification process, a large amount of money was stolen from my account. Again: DO NOT use or get this app they are scammers!!!!!

Good App. Issues with IPad Pro compatibility. App works well, so much better than the old sellers app, way more functional. Unfortunately stays in portrait mode if using on the IPad Pro, does not change to landscape like the old app. Difficult to make a listing using a keypad in landscape mode.

Urgh…Why?. The old app worked great. This new app is slow, clunky and counterintuitive. Issues with time zones, lack of simple features like scanning text to input tracking numbers (…which the old app did perfectly) make this new app a pain to use. If it’s not broken, please…please don’t fix it.

Won’t allow switching between accounts. Though the switch accounts button is there and it list the other stores it won’t switch accounts. This is very inconvenient when managing several shops.

So many scam messages as a seller. The app itself is easy to use as a seller, but as soon as you open your shop you receive relentless scam messages every single day. It’s super frustrating that Etsy haven’t done anything about this even after passing the feedback on directly.

Prefer old app. I find that not being able to have a standard message to send to the buyer when completing an order very frustrating. I much prefer the old app and it’s set-up. The one good thing about the new app is that I can add videos, so I mainly use it for that.

Not sure about this one.. To be completely honest, I’m not really seeing much of a difference apart from layout. A customer messaged me and the app lagged a bit and the older app received the new message first. I’m finding the message layout to be pretty annoying. I don’t know whether it’s just my internet, or whether it’s the app itself but I’ll continue using the new one for another few days and make a proper judgment then.

Etsy app. Doesn’t update stats for days then will catch up. Quite annoying when your playing with SEO and want to get frequent updates… lots of stuff needs adding and fixing!

Terrible app for privacy and performance. Not only is the list of information that they track is quite extensive, excessive and a little unnerving (probably should have checked before installing the app, I probably would have not bothered with it if i had seen this earlier). But the app seems to be way underdeveloped. Below is a ist of issues with this app in point form as expanding on these would be far too long: - No Landscape view: If you want to use this app with an iPad and keyboard, forget it. - Gestures are clunky - App performance is slow and often unresponsive. - It is half an app and half a web browser, instead of displaying certain information within the app, it just displays the data on the Etsy shop owners website. - Stats are cumbersome and difficult to navigate - Navigation often takes multiple taps for the app to respond (this is on current apple hardware at the time of posting this review) - home page is far too cluttered and difficult to view, requires a lot of navigation for a home tab - Not all features are available when editing listings, something that should be when they have set a deadline as to when the old app will no longer be supported. If you have a device that can navigate their website adequately, then you are best to stick with the website. The new app is a huge step in the wrong direction. Being able to see star seller progress and ‘dark’ mode are the apps only two redeeming features. Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros.

Not ready yet. Hi I’m not sure why the old app is not available when the new app is not ready..still now… I have to log out of Etsy seller app then sign in to Etsy desktop app then make the changes, then sign out of the desktop app then sign back into the Etsy seller app… Unbelievable…

Bring back the widget!. The older version of this app was far better and had an iPhone widget, which showed views, visitors and orders. It’s now frustrating to have to go into the app to find out this information. Which isn’t always accurate!

Good but just missing so much. Still a lot that cannot be done through app that could on previous. You get sent to web for more details which seems a waste of time. I don’t care for so much insights that is a whole tab compared to my settings, payment details etc.

Glitching. This app has been frustrating lately to use as a seller due to the fact it has camera glitches every times I try to take a photo it makes me take the same one 3 times even after I click “use photo”. It doesn’t save or send messages or pictures or anything I send to the buyer at times even after I have sent them their order or messsage digitally. They come back to advise they did not receive anything and the order appears as completed. Very frustrating.

Will learn after Xmas rush. It’s probably not a good time to introduce a new app. I’m sticking with what I know best when it’s so busy before Xmas. Lol I can’t afford to stuff up orders. I’ll learn to use it in January or February

Need landscape mode!. I would use it if it could be in landscape mode on my iPad Pro. Not much use to me in portrait mode when I have a case with a keyboard 😕

Don’t bother. Don’t bother with Etsy. There are so many better selling platforms that don’t have such strict selling guidelines, high selling fees, don’t put your account in reserve so you cannot receive money owed to you for months, and don’t take products off your page randomly.

Hope it gets better soon!. Hope this new Etsy app gets better before the old one is taken down, it constantly glitches particularly when I try to add new listings insisting I don’t have a variation quantity when in fact I do, no point in even having the app if I have to finish every listing on the computer, particularly since my maim reason for using Etsy instead of a competitor is so I can manage my store on mobile.

Not up to date with features. To be honest, I hate this new app compared to the old Etsy seller app. It takes longer to load especially with photos, and there’s many features you have to actually go to the website to use. It’s quite inaccurate as when I look at my views, it will say I have a total of 17, but when I see what listings have which amount, it only adds up to about 5. Overall I think Etsy should update this app much better and shouldn’t have launched it until it was perfect. I do like the to do list though.

They blocked my account for no reason and haven’t sent me an email about it. The app is useless as once you create an account and add some items to your shop - they will block your account without telling you a reason. The app interface also poorly designed as you can’t know the blocking reason

Missing some features from the old app. Generally more features than the old version however I’m missing some of the features of the old app. For example having a template note to send to buyers when sending shipping notifications. When editing listing I feel the old app was more versatile. You could change shop sections and variations without having to go to the website version. I also prefer the way orders are set out in the old app, I like seeing the time since order was made as it helps me track my processing time.

I don’t like it one bit. I hate the new app. The old app was much more effective in listing, the new app has no section part. It really bothers me having to list on the new app, too much stuffing around & it really has put me off from listing. Too much of a computer style, the old app was fast. What a waste of time & sellers money. Why would you get rid of the old app which worked so well. Let us continue to use the old app.

Timezone issue. The new etsy seller app is far better than the last one. Good improvement. I’m just struggling with the day and timezone issue for this app. As I am in Aus, it shows my orders according to US time. If an order is supposed to dispatch today in Aus, it shows the order dispatches tomorrow (US time) which makes me dispatch an order one day late! So, not reliable if I want to know exactly when to send an order. Not sure if it could be fixed. Thanks

Can’t publish??. Loved the old app but this one is clunky & not so user friendly. It’s also missing one really important button, “publish”. What’s the point of having a sellers app if you can’t publish while on the go? It’s missing the most important part. The old app was great, don’t break what’s not broken.

Old app was better. I don’t like the format of this new app. When an item is favourited or shop followed you can’t click on the persons profile to see it. To see what they’re interested in or where they are located in the world etc. old app by far better. Also very delayed in notifications. Cannot create delivery settings, option isn’t there. Won’t be using it

Loading Issues. Often you get blank screw that says loading error . If it keeps happening contact Etsy . I think problem is within the app itself .

Love it!. It is easier to navigate, check the orders and view the stats!

Bring back the OLD APP!. What’s going on Etsy mobile app team? It’s like this app was designed with ‘prettiness’ as priority as opposed to focusing on the practical wants and needs of real sellers. You’ve taken away a lot of features which actually mattered to us sellers. I miss my revenue graph and I miss the way my orders were organised before (I miss so many orders now because of the new default way the orders are listed). I find I am having click so many more times to do a function that used to be one tap before. Please bring back the functionality and user experience of the old app! 🙏🏼

Half baked. Moderately functional but lacking key elements. A significant step down from the prior app. As a simple example, in product description has been removed, so all text must be a single blob, or written elsewhere.

Very disappointed. Why would you change something that had nothing wrong with it. The original Etsy Seller app was so super easy and quick to use. Now it’s just complicated to use and way too underdeveloped. Can’t even add anything to sections. It’s ruined my experience with Etsy.

Underwhelmed. I’m in Australia and find the time zone thing frustrating. I completed an order through app other day and had to manually change dispatch date to today as defaulted to tomorrows date. I then got slapped with an account restriction in less than 24 hours, and assuming the ‘system’ thinks I’m dispatching early which I’m not

Be warned. Etsy lets people copy your business and destroy your store. I have had a stalker that found me on Etsy, copied my business, left me a one star review to try and destroy my shop and continuously harasses me for over a year now and Etsy just lets it happen. Make sure to set up shopify and build that up so you can eventually go there. They do not help sellers!

Don’t do any business with ETSY . It’s Fraudulent... Worst app to do business.I made shop. My Customers were satisfied and suddenly they closed my shop without giving any notice or explanation. My customers suffered lot. Then they deducted all money from my account even I dispatched all orders to my customers. My customers didn’t get any refunds. I suffered a lot because of them. They are fraud. They took all my hard earned money. I am suffering till now..

VAT. Hey you can’t see the VAT number or even if the customer has paid VAT. So it’s a bit frustrating, every European sale I have to go in and check my emails to see if VAT was charged. Not ideal. Thanks

An expensive waste. The old sellers app already had great features. The new app after a year has done nothing to improve on the usability of the old app expect ability to add videos. It still diverts you back to the web page. Very sad , after you had a year to improve the product and millions of dollars spent. I hope the CIO is listening. This program team could have been more competent. Etsy Finance Taxation rules for Canada is still broken since July 2023 as it does not automatically deduct the tax for buyers in the same province as the seller.Causes sellers a lot of distress and loss of business. Looks like this very crucial point is just being brushed under the carpet. The IT support is just mechanical and just copy pastes the same lines for every ticket. I am expecting a copy paste message after this post as well.

Constantly Crashes. This app is trash. Any time I want to make a listing from my phone or upload any information it goes to a loading screen and stays there so I can’t even save any part of my listing. I could be two options away from being done and it would crash. Super duper frustrating and not at all user friendly. Honestly a completely useless app.

works worse. Worse than the app it replaces. Sales routinely do not show up on this app. Not sure why they would force sellers to use a product before it was ready when the app it replaces doesn’t have these issues. I’m sure there are reasons I’m unaware of.

Can’t upload photos on the app…….. As a long time seller I expect more and better from Etsy. I can’t upload photos on the app……I have to have a browser open on my phone in order to complete my listings. Do better!

Etsy shop not working. I received a message two days ago from etsy support technical about new payment system and verification. I could not verify my banking account the same day but tried later on, however it was not verified. They asked me card details and how much money i have in my account.i just think it is scam and have lost control of my shop. Now I’m not able to take any orders or even reply back to messages. Though my etsy ads campaign is running smoothly. I don’t know where to contact the support as they do not have a contact numbers to reach at and could not find any email.

Updating. The whole point of having an app is to be able to sit on the sofa with a small device and do your work, but now needing a computer to update my listings is inconvenient, as I see some of your responses to others stating the same issues is we are updating the new app but you have not fixed that problem, most people don’t even own computers anymore. I shut my personal site down to use Etsy but it’s frustrating, just fix the problem and be done with it, it doesn’t take months or years when you have a team of professionals doing this for you. You should be ashamed that you don’t put your sellers needs first as most of them are small businesses trying to survive in this economy and you give them crap service and make it hard to for them to do business. Your supposed to be easy to use. Our time is precious and you’re wasting it.

Very disappointed. With the new app we are now expected to use a computer/web browser to edit our shops or update any sort of information. This really defeats a large part of the purpose of having an app. Overall the new app has been a frustrating experience.

App was great before update. Most of my sales can’t from my sharing my listings via the old app to my Instagram. This used to do 2 things that the new crappy app does not. 1) when Instagram was integrated in the app it would include all my tags, a link and a photo of the item; 2) Etsy would reward my share with better placement of listings. These where 2 reasons I went with Etsy and not Shopify. Since the new app doesn’t integrate Instagram, my sales dropped SIGNIFICANTLY. Customer service kept telling me the app will be coming out with new features - but I can’t keep waiting. It’s frustrating in this day and age that these aren’t part of the original “build”.

Fraudulent Stats on Ad. Ounce you stop using their ads they lower your visibility as punishment. They charge listing fees on top of already .20 usd listing fees they claim they only charge but recharge more listing fees everytime you get an order on top of the 0.20cent listing fees they claim. Started as a new seller 3 weeks ago and they steal from sellers with hidden fees that is not disclosed in advance Etsy Seller is extremely fraudulent

Ignores Indicated Notification preferences. The only push notifications I've opted in to receive through the app are when I make a sale. I look forward to the dopeamime rush seeing the Etsy header as a notification. However, recently this app has started ignoring that and occasionally sends notifications about new features and it seems there's no way to stop them. It's disappointing see the Etsy banner, get excited and it turns out to be a dumb new feature. I hate that.

Can’t login. Can’t login in even though I’ve Etsy buying app. With the same email and password it wouldn’t work. I tried to login through website It just login in to Etsy buying app. Very disappointing and frustrating 😒

Can’t choose category. Would help if we could select our shop category for our listing in our shops. I have to go to the Etsy website to do it.

Washed up. Find a new place to sell your stuff. Unless you want 5 fake sales and 10 fake people messaging and “buying” your stuff all day. Entirely full of scammers, that only want your email address to flood it. My account was suspended for an unexplained reason and is charging 50$ to reinstate. You’re better off selling your things LITERALLY anywhere else.

Prompt to reset password, but unable to receive the email no matter what. My full time shop has been prompt to change password for security reasons, which I understand. But after trying for over 2 hours, did every step Etsy’s “help” articles suggested, still no email. Stuck with a logged out seller account in the middle of the holiday sales season with orders total over five digits value still open and waiting to be fulfilled is the least a seller needs. This app is buggy to say the least. Often experienced bugs with chats where the new messages only shows up in the push notification but not in the actual chat thread. But this is only an inconvenience. Being locked out from the account with no solution is far more serious. This is can damage or even kill a business. And having “email us” as the ONLY method of contact doesn’t seem very “keep commerce humane” at all. I am so very stressed as my entire career is dangling on a “technical issue”.

Don’t like it. I can’t copy any of the text, I can’t complete an open item in the app. It’s a useless app

Poor Customer Service / Not User Friendly. The previous Etsy sellers app worked great, I was able to properly do work on my mobile device. Ever since this new app has come in its place, there are listing issues, uploading problems, general confusion and a lot less quality of life from the app. Whenever I post items to Etsy I pretty well need to be on my desktop as well to edit the listings from my computer as this app doesn’t cover everything. Not to mention, uploading photos on this app is a nightmare, I almost have to upload 1 photo at a time. Ever since this app has come out I have steadily taken steps away from Etsy and moved on to other platforms that have better customer support and more user friendly interfaces.

New app sucks. The old app was so much better in so many ways, this app is confusing and hard to use, please just bring back the old app.

Purchase Postage Labels. Hi! I just downloaded this new app, after using the other Etsy Sellers app for the past couple of years. I’d really love to be able to see a “purchase postage” option in the app when I’m reviewing an order. It would make the turn around for getting orders out the door easier! I look forward to experiencing the app and seeing if it works better than it’s predecessor- and will update my rating accordingly!

No notifications. Doesn’t have a red dot when you have orders or messages. No notification in real time either

Disappointing. Even though I posted my product but they think it was someone else's and suspend my account. I filed appeal but they refused, this app is stupid

I can’t even edit my shop?. Maybe I’m blind but I cannot for the life of me find any way to edit my shop. If I go to help to check why, I’m redirected to the browser version of the shop, then when I try to edit it, I’m redirected to the retired other app. What???

Doesn’t notify of sales in real time. App mostly works for the things that I need it for EXCEPT that sales notifications are always like 2-3 days late! I look at my phone probably like 150 times a day and keep my Lock Screen notifications up to date, but I am often surprised to look it after having no notifications for a whole day to suddenly see sales notifications time stamped “yesterday”. There’s never a red dot on the app either. Thankfully I can usually make it work with my turnaround times but it’s still annoying to me and the customer that sales are sitting around waiting to be fulfilled.

App has been compromised and is unsafe. I downloaded the app yesterday so I could start selling on Etsy. Did the online signup first and then was able to sign in on this app after my store account was created. I immediately got several messages from “support” claiming there was a security issue and that I needed to further verify my account. I was provided with external links where it requested my banking information. Safari flagged this site as a deceptive site that is unsafe to use. One of the messages from “Etsy support” had spelling mistakes as well as stated they just need to make sure I wasn’t a “fraudster”. These are serious red flags.

Scammed. I downloaded this app and it notified me that someone purchased something from my shop. It said due to scammers (funny), it had to verify my banking information so I would receive the money from the sale. I went into the help chat section and spoke to a person who sent me a verification code to confirm my banking information and when I did, all of a sudden over $200 was taken out of my bank account for some online gaming website. Called the bank and they said this app was apart of an online scam. Thankfully I got the money bank from the bank but I hold this app responsible. I don’t recommend downloading this app at all and reported it to Etsy as recommended.

Notification settings. There is no way to control type of the notifications in compare with older version of the app, e.g. favorites, order, etc. This app creates to much noise.

Needed Zoom in, multicolor logo.. 1. Plz put zoom in gesture. 2. At least For notification, we can set custom color for each account Other then above, worse then previous seller app. :). Keep it up. Thanks

“Messages” functionality is poor. Replying to customer messages using this app is nearly impossible as the screen keeps flipping around. Resorted to a work-around of the issue by composing a complete message in another app such as Notes, then pasting it into the Etsy app. Brutal.

Disappointed. I was very disappointed at the seller app service response to problems and reaching out times are very poor. I heard a lot of good things about Etsy but they proved it wrong. The agents were very rude and unable to efficiently solve sellers issues. Anyway , thank you for the experience all the same.

Horrible Treatment. Etsy is always finding ways to hold/take a sellers money without ever giving a reason. They are money hungry and an awful awful company.

Be careful. This company is scam and they will steal your money by allowing you listing prohibited items by their stupid policy then they will suspend your account permanently after you already paid for the listings and other fees. Buyer got refund even when item arrived. Support is useless and is always on the buyers side. As a seller you don’t have any protection. Avoid this at all cost! Scam!

Supports buyers and never sellers. The amount of times etsy would instantly refund a customers order knowing their just tryna get a free product and their money back is ridiculous. Not to mention anyone can sabotage ur store by leaving a fake review on ur store when their not even a customer

Don’t become a seller. They got horrible customer service. They don’t cate about their sellers. I got banned for violating their terms of service without violationing nothing. They can’t even tell me what I did. -5 stars. 1 star is being generous. Use eBay!

Decimial point. I am trying to enter the product size in attribute through the app, but there is no decimal point on the keyboard provided by the app. What should I do?

Control the scammers!. I’ve been using Shopify for about half a year now, and customers get flagged as low or high risk. The messages I get from scammers are not flagged as high risk. As someone completely new to Etsy Seller, I did not expect a company as big as Etsy to have a major problem with scammers pretending to be Etsy support/customers. You can list all the precautions people should take, but the root issue lies in allowing people to pretend to be Etsy support. While my listing gets immediately taken down because I was selling a handmade item that took inspiration from vintage high fashion brands. No logo. No reselling. No copyrighted elements. Yet I was immediately flagged and had my listing removed for violating the rules. Yet these scammers can exist for so long and causing so much trouble! I understand sellers need to be precaution but that doesn’t change the fact that Etsy does not take this seriously. Sellers deserve to be protected just like the customers. And not living on edge about the legitimacy of every email or message. This left a horrible impression within the first hour of using this. I’d rather pay $57 a month for a sense of security

glitches upon glitches with every update. Everytime i try to send a buyer a photo, it says can't send, retry, resend. I try again. Same thing. Not a size or type issue. Then I leave the message window, then it sends, two or three times, so the buyer then gets the message times or more. Same, wont let me upload new listing photos, then it may or may not do it after the fact. Also, there should be spell check feature in messages, and an auto draft save as often the app just closes the window after writing the whole listing copy.

Does Not Save Changes Made to Titles ect.. You can almost always expect something to go wrong when you use this app. Edit your heart away then end up losing all your hard work because it does not save anything. 🫤

Crippled Functionality. Just discovered I can no longer use Sell On Etsy which was a lot more functional. One particular function I'm missing was having my inventory sync with Square. I also recall being able to set shipping profiles, which I'm not seeing with the new app. Have to agree with some other users: The app is not intuitive. The app is confusing.

Weird. Non stop receiving in my message then i have something wrong whit my page, temporary suspended, after they ask me my emails or other things weird. Look like spam!!!!!

I got lot of scam i lost my money $470 .i try to contact etsy there is no number to call.and i found on google etsy number and i call that one also scamer,etsy dose not have proper security.and i did not got my money from etsy

Etsy supports only Buyers, not Sellers. Etsy is a great marketplace; verity of products and a user friendly platform overall. The issue as a seller is that we do not get support from Etsy. Yes, their customer service does answer queries in a timely manner but always settles by the buyers side. We experienced extortion, harassment and rude clients; all of which were reported immediately but we only received generic emails from Etsy as response. We are now looking to expand our business elsewhere.

The original app is much better. I don’t even want to think about how much money Etsy invested into the new app that could have been used to create a better experience for customers and sellers. Easily could have been used instead to have more customer service for sellers, create more than 2 variable options available in listings, or at least collect phone numbers form customers! The list goes on. The new app is not even very user friendly and there was no problem with the original. NO ONE ASKED FOE A NEW APP!

NOT an improvement- anything but. Very slow to update- doesn’t show sale price unless you actually view the specific listing. Options are not available— it’s more than a little insipid. In true Etsy modus operandi released without sufficient testing-and just not ready

Can’t work on Drafts. I’ve been using the new app since Etsy told us they were discontinuing the old app. So I would be ready when the change happens. I find it so much more difficult and less user friendly than the old version. I never get notifications and several times I’ve checked to make sure they are turned on. Yesterday I saved a listing as a draft so I could come back today while I was away from my computer to finish up and this new app will not let me edit anything on my draft other than my photos. There is no option to edit the title, tags, description, section, etc. AND there is no option to publish my draft from the app so that it is active in my shop. I could do this with no problem from the old app. Why make a new app when the old one was much more functional and easier to use?

My shop was suspended in less than a month.. And with no given reason. I worked hard for almost a month, getting myself out there, and even selling my first product. Etsy took most of the money from that sale, but that’s not even the worst part. Shortly after my sale I was unable to access my account at all. I realized they suspended my account, and apparently was supposed to receive an email giving an explanation as to why. I never received any email. So, as any dedicated Etsy shop owner, I filed an appeal, with hope that all the work I put into my business wouldn’t be for nothing. Turns out it was. Etsy responded to my appeal, saying they were PERMANENTLY suspending my account! Still with NO EXPLANATION. I had so much hope and faith for Etsy, seeing so many other people succeed, and for this to happen to me, it doesn’t seem fair. I’m utterly disappointed and will never use Etsy Seller again, making sure everyone I know won’t use it either.

This app is a serious downgrade. This “new” Etsy app pale’s in comparison to the original Etsy seller app. There are ton’s of features missing that were present in the old app and the UI is unnecessarily complicated. Most of the missing feature’s made Etsy easy, convenient and user friendly. Since this new app has come out I have run into so many inconvenience’s I can barley keep track. This app has taken 20 step’s backward’s and offers nothing new that is worth losing all the other useful feature’s. This app should have never released and we should still have the original Etsy seller app. If these missing features are brought back in a timely manner I may re think my review, Until then I am very displeased with this app.

Terrible, wish the old one was still available. I hate this new app, I wish they never shut down the old one. Every single option that I had previously that made my life easier as a seller is gone. I cannot print from the app, I cannot see my stats on the app, trying to re-list things is a total pain, and you have to literally log on to your desktop computer to do any of these things because you CANT DO THEM ON THE APP ANYMORE. It’s ridiculous and a total waste of time. They should fix this or sellers will leave the platform, it’s too much hassle. You also can’t contact them for assistance, it just takes you to an article section that leads you to needing to get on the desktop version. It’s the dumbest cycle I’ve ever been stuck in. Please fix this, Etsy. Make it like the old one that sellers use daily, not what a bunch of suits in a boardroom think is better.

“No” from me. Just not for me. I’ve tried this app several times now with hopes that future updates would improve things … Sorry, the old app was just better! With this Etsy app installed, if I click on any Etsy link (for example in the browser, or Facebook) the link auto opens this Seller app- which is NOT helpful if I am browsing for another shop - it immediately brings me to my Shop stats & no matter if you have the app open or closed every Etsy link will try to open via the seller app. The only good thing about the app is that you get immediate notifications when you have a message or sale. Some features, such as move a message to Spam, as well as to Mark An Order in Progress - these are not available on this Seller app and must be accessed via the website.

What’s the point of this app?. Currently using both apps because I can’t do everything in the new one. It gets pretty annoying having to jump from one to the other just to make a couple edits, especially when I’m on the go and can’t be at my desktop. I needed to make an edit to an announcement in my shop and couldn’t do it with the new app. It says that feature isn’t supported and I needed to use the old app or my desktop. I feel like the old app was more user friendly. The layout at least made sense. It was similar to the website. Honestly, I don’t find the new app very useful and it’s annoying that I currently get two notifications of the same thing because I have both apps. I think I’m going to delete this new one until things get fixed and I have a reason to use it.

Old Etsy seller app was better. I’ve been trying this new app since it was launched but I only ever used it to print shipping labels— and that’s about all it has going for it. The old app, no longer accessible, was a much more user-friendly experience, overall. This one feels cluttered and too many clicks to get to some things that were simpler on the previous app. One of my main issues, and this is minimal I guess, but it is important for me and sellers who have a lot of organized items in their shops: if you go through listing ‘sections’ the app does not show you how many units of each item are currently available. You have to click on each listing to see if you need to restock instead of being able to just scroll through. The only way to do see the listing units available is on the main listings page and scroll through all of the listings. It also feels more complicated to create a new listing. The only other positive is that new reviews are on the home page instead of having to go to news and activity. Overall, I find myself going to the desktop Etsy version more than the app.

Extremely buggy!!!. The latest and most frustrating bug for me is that when you create a listing by copying another listing and then edit things like title or description it will only save the last thing you edited. For example if you edit title hit save, then edit description and hit save, it will only save description. This is especially a problem in this specific order as Etsy doesn’t not like when you directly change the title of a listing.. so if the edit you made to the title when creating the listing didn’t come through in the end you have to delete the listing and start over to avoid SEO issues. Which of course you are charged for creating a new listing. I work as a software engineer and can’t imagine my company releasing a product with so many bugs let alone a company as big as Etsy.

HORRIBLE APP AND SERVICE. DO NOT SELL ON THIS APP! I was permanently banned with NO reason after starting my first 3 day Origami shop. A friend bought one for a head start on my business, it charged my friend, but the money never touched my bank and automatically went to Etsy. Their contact is really horrible and limited, and my appeal is a long shot to recovering any info. Now I’m locked trying to delete my account but couldn’t bc my deposit is below the minimum to collect. I should’ve read the reviews first before diving in first try. Yes Etsy is a good app to shop but NOT to sell. Like what other reviews say about this app, YOU WOULD NOT KNOW if you violated one of their policy’s without knowing, I was banned first try. If the developers respond to this, if there’s any way PLEASE delete my account and Collect my deposit as I do not care.

Good but could be better. Most of the apps functions at pretty good and the updates have made it better. But it can always get better my suggestions Change the color of the app it makes no since to be blue. Lots of apps are blue go back to an orange style it made it easier to find and use Keep up with the times. Ebay has an AI option to write your description for you or make it better. This would not only be a time saver but help make them sound professional for those that need more time for creating. Fix the in app adding of photos Also bring back the feedback capabilities for users to give their options on how to better the app. Push all the shops on your platform not just the ones that you and your staff like. If you want the small guy to succeed maybe a giveaway for a shop makeover to help them instead of telling them you’ll only promote them IF they do all these extra things. Not every creator is good at all aspects of the process and can keep up with orders and he changes you require in shop appearance. This would help the etsy community more then seminars.

Should have left well enough alone. Why would Etsy redesign an existing app that was not broken! I am a successful seller and hate this new redesigned seller tool. Why make taking photos, editing listings more time consuming? It now takes me longer to create listings than before. A green confirmation box pops up every time you do anything. Yes I know I added a photo, etc. Just another annoyance, and when you add up all those seconds, it’s more time to do simple tasks. The sorting of listings isn’t great, and sometimes it does not find listings I know are up in my shop. Obviously another software design that doesn’t understand what sellers need, despite giving feedback along the process. Update: still the same issues a year later. Now new issues happening and impossible to get through to tech support. No customer service support at Etsy. Horrorible

FIX THE BUGS!. Like many are saying - the previous app was great! This new app fails to tell me I HAVE AN ORDER! Tech support had me check my own settings, like it was *me or my phone* causing the issue. I generally like to only leave reviews when I am happy. But I felt I had to say something. I know I’m not the only one this is happening to! My On Time Shipping and Tracking percentage is at 85% currently due to the last time this happened. I also lost money paying to expedite shipping, in hopes my customer would receive her order on time. She didn’t. Now it happened again. Etsy - I’ve already deleted the app once and downloaded it back onto my phone. Should I do this daily? This is getting absurd. This app has extremely low reviews. Please fix the issues. It’s affecting us… and you don’t do anything to help.

I get zero notifications. Ever since the update in 2022, I haven’t received any notification from my shop. I’ve done everything possible to fix the issue to no avail. Even when I get a sale, the apps icon number doesn’t change till I open the app. How are shop owners supposed to give good customer service, without being notified that there’s a customer? This has been going on a year now and y’all can’t fix this huge bug in your system? There’s pages and pages of people complaining about this issue on your “help page” and google, so we know Etsy knows about this and is doing nothing about it! No help for the people that sell the goods and services on your platform is just bad customer service on your end. So tell me why we all shouldn’t just leave your platform since we’re not getting answers?!

the new update is so bad, miss the old app. As a seller new update is terrible. Photos won’t load, purple looks like all other apps. Creating a sale off the phone is impossible because you can’t pick what listings you want to add, you literally don’t see the names of products you have in your store. Wrote customer support - no response as usually. eBay is so much better, they respond immediately and there is eBay chat support most of the day. Etsy sellers are on their own.. another thing is when Etsy lowers your star seller rating because you didn’t respond to an automatic shipping message update about something you bought, they the app thinks my response rate is 80%, I’m not supposed to respond to those, what I buy on the app should be separately from what I sell and how I respond to my own buyers

Unhappy. Very unhappy with this app and being forced to switch from the old app to this one. I’m unable to paste replies into the notes section when sending a shipping notification. This is a huge problem for me as I have a lengthy message I send to all customers when I ship their item. Taking the time to type it out 10x a day is ridiculous. My order page also lists orders in a seemingly random way… possibly by ship date. But this is not ideal or the same as the previous app, where the most recent order placed is on the top of the list. Now when I receive a new order I have to search for it in the list. Very frustrating, time consuming, and pointless. Etsy sellers are extremely hard working people and this app isn’t doing us any favors in making things easier or simplified.

Closed for no reason. I would have liked this app, but after months of paying the fees for having handmade items for sale, Etsy closed my shop when I finally sold something. They never said why, nor would they tell me how to fix it so I could keep the shop open. They just closed my shop and kept the money for my one and only sale. I wouldn’t trust Etsy to do right by you. And I’d certainly never tell anyone to use them. Update to the review: Etsy actually contacted me! I couldn’t believe it. However, they sent me an email address to get in touch with them, and when I did, it bounced back and said it wasn’t a monitored email address. Hilarious, and so very Etsy. Honestly folks, there has to be a better place to sell our stuff. Etsy is a rip-off and just a bad company to work with.

Please, Etsy, Do Better!. I am a fairly new Etsy Seller and really trying to do everything right. This morning, I was creating a new listing for my wreath shop. First, I tried to use the old version but it wouldn’t even respond to the Create New Listing button. So I went to the new version. I added photos, descriptions, titles and tags. It took a very long time. Then I clicked the Publish button and got a message that it wouldn’t save and to contact Etsy Support. I did. The solution was for me to go back to the old version. You know, the one that wouldn’t even open for me to list anything! Of course, everything I had put into the draft listing was lost. The new listing version should work or please just trash it and go back to the drawing board. If sellers can’t list, then what is even the point of being on Etsy?

Give us back the old one!. I tried this as a beta version and wasn’t so impressed so I went back to the older version and used that until recently they completely phased it out and forced us to use the new one. I still find the functionality sloppy and some great and useful features from the old app have been dropped or only operate half as good. The layout has changed, and not for the better. Things are harder to find. I can’t see if a customer has reviewed me within their order details anymore. Endless bugs on new notifications sticking there on the home screen and I’m not able to remove them. I’ve contacted Etsy 3 times about the same issue and I have had to completely uninstall and reinstall the app twice because of bugs they can’t fix on their end. Overall, pretty disappointed. Bring back the old app!

Poorly built app. This app has worked so poorly that I had to delete it and return to the old app because I cannot run a business when features do not work. I haven’t seen a favorite of an item or my shop since downloading. It’s like impossible to see your finances clearly. Which I don’t really understand because it was such a nice set up originally. Personally I think the old app is way better easier to maneuver between accounts. This app the only thing good about it is the way we do listings. 9 out of 10 times I do listings from computer so it’s not to useful for me. I just noticed that Etsy likes to roll out things to make it a better experience for a seller, yet everything they roll out has major flaws. I really think they need to test things before alerting everyone about new things when they don’t properly function.

Why another app??. This app is only “good” for “ease” of shipping from an app rather than a desktop website. However. This feature barely works. I’ve tried it maybe once and gave up. But that’s beside the point. WHY, Etsy, WHY did you create ANOTHER app instead of just adding this shipping feature to the Sell on Etsy (orange) app?? OR add ALL the features from Sell on Etsy (ie, actually being able to edit your shop, listings, status, etc) to this Etsy Seller app!! Having three apps for Etsy is absolutely absurd and it makes using the platform incredibly difficult. Especially when all three have messages, two can change listings, one does shipping, two have insights, and one has status updates! I love Etsy. I love to sell. I love to buy. But poor design, poor functionality, and overall poor planning of the apps is almost enough to keep me from using Etsy ever again.

Regressive. The new app is inferior to the previous app. Editing text fields is nearly impossible because it does not follow Apple standards. You cannot see the cursor position under your finger. There are situations where it’s literally impossible to edit text, because the first two lines of a text field will be covered by another field on the page so you can’t place a cursor in the text to the first two lines. At least half the time it’s impossible to upload photos. When deleting photos in a listing multiple pop-ups have to be cleared before you can then add a photo or delete another photo. This is infuriating. There’s no option to delete all photos from a copy listing. Overall, very disappointed. This is actually impeding my ability to add listings using my phone.

Why won’t Etsy listen?. I have sent multiple reviews since this new app came out. It is not user friendly. It is so radically different from the old add and nothing is intuitive. My list of complaints is long. I use my phone a lot to work because I am a SAHM and running to pick of kids from here or there and it’s nice to be able to receive notifications etc. but once Etsy required us to use this app, I now work from my browser which is frustrating off of a phone, but much better than this new app. I was trying to do something on the app last night and received a message says that the app can’t do that function and I would have to use the website. Why use the app at all?? Why won’t Etsy listen to the complaints of us that use this on a daily basis?? Please give us the old app back!!!!

Explore option still not on my iPhone. I really want to give this app 5 stars but the explore option is STILL not an option! Super frustrating as I meet all the criteria but it’s still not there! I keep updating the app in hopes it appears but still no luck. As far as the app overall I am coming around to it. I am not a fan of change and really liked the other app. However, now that I am getting use to this one there is SO much more you can do from it! I absolutely love how easy it is to upload videos to my listings and every time I update there is more added to make it almost as easy as navigating from my desktop. I just ask that you please roll out the explore option!

They took something good and made it awful. It seems every time Etsy makes an "improvement" my experience as a seller suffers. Etsy FORCED us all into using this app over their previous app which WORKED PERFECTLY for my needs as a seller. This app gives me a bunch of information I don’t want to see and makes it hard to nearly impossible to find the information I looked at daily on the old app. Now today, I tried to make a listing using this app and it only loaded half of the photos I took, then it wouldn’t let me select a "shop section" for my listing even though I have numerous sections already created. In frustration, I closed the app and finished the listing from my computer. Etsy needs to get their act together and start listening to their sellers or we’ll move our listings to other platforms.

I HATE THIS APP. After being forced to remove the other seller app, I started using this more. Three major issues. When scrolling to select photos on my phone, it will select multiple photos. I didn’t even touch but just happen to swipe by while scrolling. This happens literally every time I try to select a photo. Second issue is trying to re-order, delete, or do anything with the photos. You have to go in and view all to even re-order them. And you can’t select all to delete or anything. You have to do it individually. It’s extra clicks for no reason. On the other app, you could just take it and drag. That’s the way it should be. Third issue is that it still has issues with not being able to do full functions on the app. You can’t make variations for each listing. I strongly prefer the old app. Do better Etsy!!!!

Less function and options. Man if you guys were aiming to make change difficult you nailed it. I have no problem with a new app but this one is horrible. I can’t find anything in it, half the stuff I need to do I cannot. I now have just switched to doing as much from my browser as possible. The sections area, why is it that I have to create a new section when all of my sections are already done? Why isn’t there a drop down to select from that? Also why did you change stats? I don’t understand it’s on the home page and then to get more detail instead of being able to click on the info from the homepage you have to go to more and then stats from there. Also you can’t upload any videos from the app which is annoying since most of my videos are on my cell phone.

Wish I could still use the old app. I hate that we are forced to use this new app. Wish the old app could have just been updated. I’ve only used this new app for a day now, but already had to run to my computer about ten times because this app lacks essentials. 1. It is incredibly slow. I’m connected to my own home Wi-Fi and it still takes 20 seconds to load my dashboard. I don’t understand. 2. In messages, the option to send an existing listing brings up every listing that I have EVER had. No indication of if they are active, sold out, expired, and no way to filter them. 3. The option to post on social media is still not good. You can only pick one picture and they don’t fill out any of the information or hashtags like they used to. I hope they update this app to be usable soon, it’s making running an Etsy business harder than it needs to be.

Bad Move on Etsy’s Part. The previous app should stay available. I tried the current app a few months ago once it was announced and it didn’t work well at all — it was glitchy, the UI was subpar, and it offered less features than the previous app. I deleted it within a few days and redownloaded the old one. Taking the old one away from us forcibly now is not a good move. This app is far from functional, and there’s a reason the reviews are so low in the app store. They need to pause this roll out until this app is decent, and truly they should make it as close to the old app as possible. Also, let us see the VAT numbers on our mobile orders when they’re necessary! And let us see when we have a returning customer. These are two important things that shouldn’t be desktop only.

Not updating regularly/automatically like other apps. This app does not update when the other apps on my phone update. it’s not keeping up with real time. Orders and not showing even though I’m receiving a notification that a order was placed. I’m getting a notification that my customer replied to a message, but when I check the messages, their message is not there. I have to pull the phone down to refresh 3-4 times before the message appears. When I open the app it’s constantly spinning before it loads. The old app had less features, but it was much better quality and seller user friendly. Ohhh and this app has waaaay to many stats/tools etc forced upon you with no option to disable them….I hate that! In addition……why must I jump thru hoops, climb mountains and run a marathon to contact Esty about an issue?!?! In closing…..No, I don’t want to open a ticket, what I want is for Etsy to fix all this on their end.

Frustrating turn off Vacation mode. For the past 3 months, I finally got my first order and then out of no where I realized that my shop was forcefully put on vacation mode. And since then I been trying to turn it off. I logged out of my account and log back in thinking maybe there was a glitch. Nope. Still stuck on it. They say they “esty put you on vacation mode to be able to catch up with orders” but now I can’t turn it off. I have sent about 3 emails, and reported the bug about twice. Not one email back from them. I needed this to be resolved. This is super frustrating, after it took me a while to set up my own shop on at esty after being suspended the first time for no reason. I swear this is the last time. I need this problem to be fixed cause I need to put my shop active again immediately.

Posting is inconvenient and it prevents your phone from properly opening Etsy links. I’m kinda mad at this app. I had hoped it would be a good solution for posting new listings on the go, but it’s really not for two reasons: 1. You have to fill out most of the information on the listing form before you can save it. So this makes it hard to fill out the form little by little throughout your day. 2. More than once, I’ve had the listing form mostly filled out and some glitch or error deleted the whole dang thing. SO frustrating. It’d be better if they added an auto save feature and let you save the form with only a little info in it. Also, now that I have this app, any time I click an Etsy link on my phone it opens this app instead of the link. And it doesn’t even take me to the page of the link I clicked on, it just takes me to my own store management page. Major fail.

Not user friendly at all. I have had an Etsy store for many years and have appreciated the ease of the Sell on Etsy app. I don’t like how the new app is so stark nor how I have to click more times to get the same info. For example, when I clicked on “Orders” before, it would list all my recent orders chronologically, open and completed together. So easy! Now I have to click again to see my completed orders and remember whether it was in the last 7 days or 30, etc.. The most frustrating thing about the app is that I use it most often on my iPad, in landscape view. The new app only appears in portrait view and will not toggle back and forth. My iPad vase only has the landscape option in its stand. I looked in the app settings for an option to switch to landscape, but there was nothing there. So frustrating! Please fix.

Bring back the old app. Where to start. Loading times are terrible I can’t customize my home dash. Settings don’t stay saved I constantly have to change order list to newest from oldest. ORDER LAYOUTS are a nightmare. I now have to tap each order to see what is in it since they stack with just 1 listing item and a number. There’s no separator line between the orders so for a dyslexic brained person like my self my I jump over orders without knowing it. THE COLOR I’m glad I’m not alone in this it’s ugly unappealing and makes me actively want to be on the app less. I seriously wonder who though a color so close to discord, zoom, and mercari was a good idea. Speaking of mercari alerts now look identical I legit have to do a double take when I make a sale since the wording and image look the same. Speaking of notifications. WOW do I feel gross when I make a sale when I’m around other people. Don’t like seeing the dollar amount or screen name of the person on my notifications. It’s weird creepy and gross. Make it custom or go back to the generic “u made a sale”. I’ve left so much feed back about this and more and see no change ( no surprises there) Only good I see is managing listing info is better but I’d rather do that on my computer anyway so kinda useless.

Revenue total is always incorrect.. I do like that I can finally print off shipping labels from an Etsy Seller app (still can’t from original Sell On Etsy), but dashboard reports on this new app are always soo incorrect. I’ve also left feedback directly on the app a few times, and marked it as “critical”, with photos, and the issue still hasn’t been fixed. My “revenue” totals on the “Home” page are wildly wrong, sometimes half or less than the amount that I actually made for the day. I know this because I can just check my dashboard on my computer or the old Sell App and they are correct on those. Anyway, this is only a big deal because a lot of us rely on these totals for monthly/quarterly/annual taxation reporting. They have got to be correct!

This app is broke everywhere. I don’t understand why developers have the need to keep changing things that work. For every two new things one older doesn’t work. Not only is this unproductive as a shop owner, who has the time to scout around your app for the simple things. Yes, some of your enhancements are great! However, the simple things I need all day without looking at my phone or laptop are the notifications. Favorites come in when they want. No notifications for a sale - like the cash register cha Ching. It might come across my banner. And in the seller app I was able to see who favorited my shop or items. No I get YOUR ALL CAUGHT UP. VISIT THE HANDBOOK. please help. Yes, I have turned off and back on all the settings. Uninstalled the app. Rebooted the phone. And again , turned notifications everywhere back on. Help Deb

Useless app, missing the ease and features we loved!. If I could rate this app with ZERO stars I would!! I hate everything about this app! It doesn’t give me the stats I want and are used to with the “old” app. It’s NOT user friendly at all! Everything is a hassle to get to. The way the listings are set up are exactly like the website and isn’t easy to use on an app. To edit listing title you have to delete what you have in order to get to the middle of title! Is that seller friendly? No! The listings are so hard to see where the pics are nice and big and easy to see on the old app. The way the listings are set up on this app isn’t user friendly and takes me forever to get to the bottom and it lags. No I am NOT happy and will NOT be using this USELESS app! Etsy you are forcing me to use the website version on my laptop because this app just made this seller and a whole bunch of other seller’s lives harder!!

Disappointed. I seldom write app reviews, but I feel like Etsy needs some feedback on this. As a long time user of the other “Sell on Etsy” app, this new app leaves me scratching my head… Why did Etsy pour time and resources into developing this inferior app? The stats page is sorely lacking in comparison to the old app, you can no longer change your shop banner in the app, the messages portion has been glitchy… Etsy has been describing this app as streamlined, but in my experience so far “streamlined” is simply a euphemism for feature reduction. Admittedly, there are some new features in this app, but (in my opinion) they do not make up for core functionality that has been lost. I am disappointed that this will soon be our only option as support for the old app is phasing out.

If it’s not broke…. Don’t try to fix it. Time consuming for creators and artists on this “new” but not improved version. I sure wish developers would listen to the people using their platforms and stop trying to make “improvement” just to fudge it up. Unless it was impossible to add the few “improvement” features to the previous app, which was working quite well, I don’t understand why they’d roll this out when the original was working fine. Sure it could use the “cancel order option”, but a complete overhaul to be left with this is absurd & cause for frustration. Artists who chose the platform do it for the ease of getting product to their customer base and organizing said orders. No one wants to have to stop to relearn a whole new platform just because someone decided they need to be like the other guys app. Please stop adding to what was already working.

Not app related but how bout developing is more than 2 drop down menus, in our Etsy shops.. Another Holiday season with out more easy drop down menus?!? You push custom made items. Ur nearest competitor “Handmade at Am….” Has provided near unlimited drop down menu selections since day one. Etsy should be ashamed of themselves in this department. For over 12 years as a seller etsy’s lack of drop down menus has hindered, along with many things, the growth of my product offerings and development. Customers suffer too. Shame shame. This app seems solid though. Thank you for this app. Should make a nice addition.

Old App so much better. They kept say how great this app was even though reviews were not saying that. Then we were forced to change. I hate this app hard to navigate can't find half the info you want. If you have moved an order into being processed on your desktop, it doesn't even show up as an order on this app. You have to dig through pages and sections to find anything you need which just takes up more time, and you are lucky to have found it at all. They always think everything has to be bigger better and faster, which would be fine if that were the actual case, this app isn't. I decided to just get rid of it and sign in through my desktop, not alway convenient but works so much better and without the frustration of that awful app. Don't waste your time with it.

Removed function from app without removing it from shop. The previous app had a function for shop updates. It was only available via the app and posts made appear on your public facing shop page. This new app, 4 years in, still does not have that function included but Etsy have not discontinued the ‘shop update’ section from shop pages. So it exists, but doesn’t, because you can’t add, edit or delete past posts and you’re stuck with old info on your shop home page. I just spent 45min with Etsy chat trying to get THEM to delete my old out of date posts and the CSR insisted on giving me instructions for the old non-existent app - 6 times!!! No amount of explaining the situation garnered any sort of different response, they were insistent that they were right. Among all the other pieces of stupidity with this app, what is even the point.

App disappointment. I was really excited for the new app when it first came out and the new features… but shortly into the app there were issues with the app moving between the old app and the new app … sometimes I would not know if I am on the old or new app and it came very confusing at times…. The other issue is that it shows on my listings that I need to update all my listings for shipping as of yesterday… when I go in to fix them I do have the right settings on them… if I try to renew a listing that is telling me to update the shipping it will not let me update… I called support and they tried to help but couldn’t figure it out either so I was told that it shouldn’t interfere with anything… I tried to tell the support guy that it still affects my renewals and he said someone will look further into it and a member of support will call me… can we go back to the old app until this app is fixed???

Horrible App. An absolutely terrible app to sell on. You’ll get banned out of nowhere for following their policies and setup instructions. Want to appeal? Good luck. They’re worthless. Their communication is horrible and they won’t clarify anything for you nor are they capable of even telling you what their own policies are to tell you what you may have violated to give you a chance at correcting whatever the issue may be. Just avoid. This all took less than 36hrs… I only had 4 items on my store (game boys) and just got banned out of no where. I have great success using eBay and just wanted to reach another audience as I’m ready to expand a bit. The one time I did have an issue selling on eBay, their appeals court actually discusses what you violated and allows you a chance to make the necessary adjustments before reinstating your account. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do too.

Terrible. I miss the old app.. I can’t believe they replaced the old, functioning, easy-to-use app with this garbage. I’ve been trying to get into it for weeks ever since I heard the old app was going to be taken down, but I absolutely cannot get into it for the life of me. I think the only thing I’ll be using this app for is to get notifications and to message my customers. That’s really all it’s good for, since the browser on my laptop can do everything so much more efficiently. Creating listings/adding photos is a hassle on this app, and looking at stats seems more complicated than it used to be. I really miss the old app, and it’s only been a day since it’s been gone. Please bring the previous app back, this app is such an utter downgrade in comparison. Why would you create a new one anyway if the old one was just fine?? Make it make sense.

Etsy please poll your sellers about improvements!. So many pitfalls that could have been avoided by observing what worked about the old app! Loading images is a nightmare, especially if you need to change the order. I don’t want to involve a middle man laptop to put pictures that are already *in my phone* on the phone app! The inbox somehow got more convoluted instead of less. The lag time between when a customer messages you and when it appears in the chat box while you’re live chatting is maddening. And sorting Sold Out/Expired listings alphabetically rather than by what has most recently sold out is a HUGE downgrade! I now have to comb through *eleven years* of discontinued designs to make this page remotely useful. To top it all off- there’s no easy way to submit a ticket or feedback when you run into something. 😒

Could be better!. This app is great for in the go quick edits (but I am still waiting for the ability to edit variations). However, one bug I would like to be fixed besides that involves the original Etsy app. Whenever I buy a digital file, go to my email, and press view digital files, it brings me to this app. No explanation, not even to anything related to the file I was downloading, just the “your orders” screen. However, when I delete the app and try again downloading files works just fine. It is really annoying and time consuming to keep deleting and downloading this app. Please fix it! Besides that though, great app.

Could be better but has useful additions. I like that I can print shipping labels from the app instead of having to pull out my slow computer, and being able to see repeat sellers is nice. I’ve noticed that when I get a notification for a review and I click on it, it takes me to the listings tab and I still have to search for the review manually so that’s a little annoying. We also still aren’t able to do some things that we can on a computer like processing cancellations etc. so I think those things would be a good addition to the app. I think the app works pretty well and has some useful additions, i just hope they add more of the functions necessary for sellers that are still only available on desktop.

NOT Seller Friendly. Thanks for making it even more difficult to list items. With every update I feel like the app makes things even more convoluted and difficult. Why is it so hard to post photos to my listing? If I have more than 5 photos to upload I have to make sure and tap my phone screen so it doesn’t go dark which then losses any photos I was trying to upload and I have to start ALL over again. My phone screen HAS to be on and I have to wait a considerable time. Also why can’t I look at my listings in grid view like the old way on the app? And why does it always default to “drafts” instead of my live listings? And lastly but not least WHY does Etsy spam me with announcements in seller hub? Those are not important and could be moved to an “Etsy message” tabs or something on the side. Etsy really despises small sellers!

I hate this new app. For some reason since I started using a new app for sellers on the iPhone I missed 4 order notifications! There is nothing telling me that something new is going on in my Esty, with previous app I didn’t have any issues. I always on my phone, only for the night I am using a quiet mode and still I missed 4 orders! Can you make a red event bubble at least, so i can see from the main screen, that this app has an activity going on, like every other app doing it? It is a business app and still made like for kids by kids! Why did you discontinued the original for the first place? You are still cutting things, your photo alignment with the options is off, you cant change section for the listing, you cant change shipping presets… why do we even need this app, if we can use browser instead? It is useless!
