Great widget weather app. Displays every bit of information you need to know about the weather for the day on your Home Screen for quick access

Doesn’t work on iPad?!. I love how the widgets look. The app itself look good from what I was able to see, but it extremely difficult to use, trying to switch from the weather to widget tab is very glitch and takes forever, the app itself is very glitchy for me. I’ll leave 3 stars because I like the app but until it’s improved on iPad I couldn’t give any more.

Amazing weather widget!. Since the release of iOS 14, I know everyone’s favorite topic right now is widgets. This weather app allows you to customize the color, icon designs, and shapes of your small, medium and large widget. I still have not paid for the premium version but the developer was kind enough to provide free options to get you try and test the widgets out. Honestly, I have been impressed so far. If I had one quirk, the hourly forecast (11am, 12pm, etc) the text gets cut off at times. Also if you have a long location name, the text tends to cut off at the bottom of the widget. I know this is version 1 so I’m excited to see where this ends up in the future. I will continue to update my review as the week progresses. Thank you for making this and hopefully they will continue to add an enhance to the experience, widget and app.

Good weather app for the widget. Good app, love the information and it seems to be fairly accurate. However, the pressure stops being displayed when you select the inHg setting instead of hPa... the app just says that the pressure is 0inHg. Obviously this is impossible. Otherwise, good app.

So cute!. Love the look and style of this app. Absolutely love that I can customize the widget to match my Home Screen! I look at the weather every morning to plan my day and this app provides the perfect widget to do so. 100% recommend!

Cool Widgets but not many options. This app has cool widgets and even better you can customize widgets. But I don’t have the premium version that contains a lot more choices.

Cute and lots of great options!. The designs available on this app look clean and stylish. There are a number of styles available for all sizes of widgets, however you will need to pay money for some. While support these apps is great, it can make it very hard to style your phone screen on a budget.

not worth it anymore. the only reason i downloaded this app was to have a widget that i could customize to fit with my theme and have something that tells me the weather. it was okay besides the fact that it wasn’t always accurate and would have the weather from earlier in the day. either way, it looked nice. now you locked everything behind a paywall just like every other app out there. you just can’t have nice things anymore can you? you know that nobody’s gonna buy it, but you’re that desperate for money so now i’m going to have to uninstall the app, and i hope that everybody else using this does too.

Cool app. Really clean looking, simple to use and more aesthetically pleasing to look at. One complaint is that I haven’t found a way to make two small widgets with different cities listed. Maybe I missing something?

Pretty Good. I'm playing with the widget feature now but so far so good! It has several options for free and far more customization then the standard weather widget. The app itself displays weather beautifully and I love all the additional data it gives you. The way it shows the weather throughout the day along the path of the sun from rising to set is surprisingly useful in a way I never thought! I do wish it had a bit more options for further customization but I am pleased with what it has so far!!

Great App. I’ve been trying to edit my Home Screen for quite a while now I’ve never really got around to it but this app has helped me a ton in making everything look super sleek and good looking! Great job guys!

Cute but... This weather app is cute and worked for a while. However, now instead of the widget telling me my local weather it only tells me the weather for Paris. I’m in the US and nowhere near Paris. I’ve emailed them with no answer, remade the widget, reinstalled the app, and nothing works. It will go to my home for a few minutes when restarting my phone but quickly goes back to Paris.

Great Weather App. I haven’t had the app for long, but I love that it gives you the opportunity to customize what you see. So customizable, but be aware that certain options need to be unlocked.

Customizations frequently break. When it works it's great, but it frequently doesn't. The widget has a tendency to stop displaying my customizations and also display only the weather for Paris. No amount of changing my customizations back or rebooting will fix it. That makes it entirely useless for the purpose I installed this.

Bad radar map rendering. Over a year later and I’m still desperately looking for a replacement for DarkSky. Really hoped this would be the one, but the map radar function was kludgy and would not load fully, even on the latest iPhone and iOS. The layout of the other sections was nice, but the lack of smooth radar maps makes it a no go.

Disappointing app. I am a lifetime purchaser of this app because I am hopeful the continued development will render a better product, because right now I can’t recommend it. Most of what intrigued me about Hey Weather was the live activities and Dynamic Island support. Both of those are inconsistent at best and even when they work are ugly and unintuitive. The developers need to copy the look of an app like Mercury Weather with the Dynamic Island and live activity look/feel of Carrot Weather. Right now the map doesn’t work for me because I block a lot of Google spam/tracking and they decided to go with Google Maps, instead of Apple Maps, with no ability to change it. Their privacy policy is not even a privacy policy. There are fully featured weather apps like Hey Weather that do not collect data AND are clear about what they collect and why in the privacy policy. There is no such transparency. Check the privacy policy page for yourself via the App Store link or in-app link.

Weather. This is a great way to look at the weather of places you are going. The design is different than any of the others I’ve seen the pleasant cartoon style is wonderful. Very happy with this product.

pretty cool, except.... so like i’m reviewing mainly for two free customization options but also i’d like to give my input in some stuff. the first being, everything’s basically locked! you need a subscription just to customize a widget, like that’s kind of bs. the small widget, for example, is just the temperature w your time & location. i think adding in a lil more to the small widget would be pretty cool bc rn, it’s just pink w the temperature, time & location. otherwise the app is honestly really really nice. it’s just the right pretty weather app i was looking for once i updated to ios 14 😼

Best weather app ever!. Typically I don’t write reviews for apps, but when I installed this app, I really was amazed with simplicity of application, and easy configuration. I am not a pro user, so I need simple and out of the box app, which HeyWeather really delivers it. Thank you.

Well done. I have been waiting for a long time to own a weather widget such this. Fully customizable with many icons, backgrounds and designs. I will be happy to see more designs in the next updates. Just the price is nuts, if you reduce that, it is gonna be perfect. Please AQI to the widgets if possible.

Update removed features. The latest update locked features I was using behind premium. Now the widget I already had on my phone screen for over a year doesn’t work and I can’t use the same background I had been using. Sad but I guess I’ll look for a different weather widget now.

Better than the default weather app. Love this app for the widgets - it’s easy to customize, and has more information than the default weather app from apple.

Widget needs to refresh more. On the widget the update time beside location still showing me yesterday’s time of when it last updated, it’s showing me the sun ☀️ but saying clouds ☁️ underneath on the widget instead of saying clear of today and it’s still showing me yesterday’s weather forecast on the right side and it supposed to show today’s forecast and upcoming days.... for it to change you have to remove the widget and place it back on the Home Screen again. The widget a mess, it’s cute but a mess.

better than most. I see the widget customization but I see no way to customize the actual in app look. why is this blue theme forced? I assumed it was to showcase the weather but it's storming rn. I have photophobia. blue lights destroy ur retina and melatonin. where is the dark theme? I've received no notifications about the sever storm coming in or even about precipitation.

Wrong widget, wrong city... The widget was working great until this morning. Now, the signature widget I’ve chosen will not display on my home screen. (I’m paying for Premium.) It also keeps telling me my current city is Paris, France and I’m in the United States. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling and also restarting my phone, but nothing has worked yet. Hope this is fixed soon because I loved the way the widget looked when it was working.

Suggestions. Overall it's a nice app and has some nice widgets, however I'd like to see improvements on locations, as my exact location did not show, had to use a nearby location. Also a radar in app and on widgets would be nice. One more suggestion is a lower onetime lifetime unlock payment, 40 dollars is a little to much, 25 dollars and more customers would jump on board. Other then that nice job on the app.

WAY too much money. $119 for a weather app? That’s insane! Could you imagine someone selling a a simple piece of software like this back before the subscription days? If you don’t want to do that, don’t worry you can just pay that every year at $10 a month for 12 months. Waste of money and GREEDY developers. You should be ashamed of yourself. I’ll be using Apple’s weather app.

Some problems. I love HeyWeather, but it’s kind of annoying here and there. First there’s this glitch on a phone where you can’t scroll down all the way. Second is there weather isn’t fully correct the temperature and precipitation is a little off. Besides that it’s a wonderful app and I love how they designed it!

Everything you need!. The app has everything you could possible need to know about your daily weather and it has many customizable options for your widget.

In App Purchase :(. I loved the designs of the widgets although I wish you didn’t have to purchase to customize your widgets or have a widget on your Home Screen in the first place. Maybe make the fancier widgets cost money but the basic appearance ones free??

Nice so far. Add a few more color options for free or give me the option to watch a few ads and unlock a few colors without a membership and this would definitely be a 5 star app! Black and white shouldn’t be locked behind a paywall!

Good customization but doesn’t update. Lots of paid customization options but even the free ones are cute. Unfortunately, the widget does not update the weather for me and only shows the weather from when I placed the widget. Still looking at the weather from last night after I had to remove and place it again because it was still showing the weather from 18 hours before.

Looks good!. I’ve had the app for a few minutes. Just from playing around with it, this seems legit! I am outside a lot and having this widget makes my life a little more simple.

Need more detailed weather. I love the customization, but the weather forecast is not detailed enough. The daily will say rain, when it’s just scattered rain. It seems unreliable for actual weather, which defeats the purpose of the app. I wish I can choose who provides my actual weather data instead of just relying on whatever source they rely on.

Beautiful Interface. This weather app is really beautiful. It has many customization options, but they have to be unlocked. With the new OS it’s nice to have the full version so that you can change the widgets to match exactly what you want to display.

I like the app, but!. It is a pretty good app. Temperature and weather conditions seem to be accurate. One drawback is you can only use one size widget for each city. There are 3 sizes of widgets. I want to know the weather in 3 different states. I had to use one size per state. I wanted to use the small widget twice but couldn’t. If I was able to do that it would be 5 stars....

Not displaying the correct/current weather. This app is really cool. I really enjoy and like how you can customize it to your personal liking. Just one problem that started happening, at least to me. For some reason, it is not showing the correct weather anymore. It is night time right now where I live, and it still shows that it’s daytime. The widget display and when you open the app, the animations and what it shows is daytime instead of night time. I give it four stars because of the multiple app icons and the awesome various options to personalize the widget. I recommend this app! Hopefully the bug gets fixed. :D Also, there are times that it has completely stopped working. Right now currently, it’s not showing anything at all. It’s also not restoring my purchased subscription so I can change the features for the widget. Update: I updated my iPhone Mini 12 to iOS16, and the widget works but it is displaying the wrong appearance and the wrong location/weather. Just thought to let you know. Waiting for another update! Great app!

Easiest to read. This app gives the easiest to read display for all components of the weather. Simple and clear. The only problem is the display on the Hourly section where the middle box of info obscures the line of hour headings.

Nice App. Hey weather is a simple, easy to use app that I quite like. It does exactly what the description says, and really makes my home screen lovely. Unlike other weather-widget apps that are cute, but very hard to use, Hey Weather does they job well: it is functional and stylish. The only negative thing I have to say is that HeyWeather really pushes getting a subscription; and to unlock a lot of features, that is necessary, but the app is great without a subscription. Wonderful app.

So far so good. They had me rate them in order to unlock some of the apps features, but I could have rated them 1 star and still would have unlocked the features. It’s cool cuz it lets you change the widget to match your home screen, I’m going for a black theme, so this worked out perfectly

I ended up deleting this app. I liked it at first but I have a new iPhone and this app and free widgets were great at first but then all of a sudden it was 48 degrees in Florida and I kept looking at the weather and thinking there is no way it’s that cold here but awesome if it is! When I noticed in small letters it said the forecast on the widget was for Paris not Florida. I deleted the widget and app and re-installed unfortunately that didn’t work. The widget still said Paris was being forecasted. I just deleted this app and downloaded a weather app with no in app purchases.

Widget. I really love this weather app. I have as a widget on my iPhone n it keeps me updated daily. I especially love the bright n vibrant colors too🤗. Could u add the lite pink color for free though? As most of my wallpapers are that color. I just can’t afford to buy subscription at this time. Thanks for this app, I really love it!

App is good, has some bugs. Love this widget and overall, it’s good, but The widget regularly freezes and doesn’t update. Have had to remove the widget several times and re-add to home screen to clear whatever the issue is. Other than that, no complaints.

Great App ; MISSING 1 THING for 5stars!. I Love Overall Aesthetic of the App. Love that it Gives You the Wind-speeds, Humidity, and Highs/Lows because All of that Counts. It Could be 75 n HOT or 75 n CHILLY lol. Free Version is More than Enough. Having the Widget is a Plus - It Shows The ENTIRE DAY plus other Days as Opposed to Apples Original Weather App ; Which Only Shows 3 Hrs 🥴 ONLY COMPLAINT: There is No Precipitation Percentage!! Getting there…. **Update 6/2/23: I redownloaded the app with high hopes, even though I unfortunately had to sign up for another month just to see if it worked. It appears the Paris glitch is fixed, but I tried 2 different customizable widgets, and the first one wouldn’t even load. The second one loaded with a random background, not the graphic I chose. I even deleted and reinstalled the widget with no luck. I also restarted my phone. I have already cancelled my membership again. Since this one stopped working a few months ago, I found another customizable weather widget app that allows more in-depth customization and offers a lifetime charge at a fraction of the cost of this app 😞 I absolutely loved this app when I downloaded it with the customizable widgets. A few weeks ago, the widget on my phones Home Screen also started showing Paris as the location. The only reason I paid for the subscription was to have the customizable widgets, so the subscription has been cancelled until this can be fixed.

Great app, but are you kidding with the subscriptions?. This should not be a subscription service. If you want me to pay once for the features your app has to offer at any given point, fine, but to pay monthly for something that just sits there is ridiculous.

Perfect. To my own foolish self. I left a bad review that was my fault and not the developers. I found out you can customize the widgets when searching deeper. I’m sorry about that developer. I’ll make sure to not be so judgmental next time. 🥹

Eh.. I like it so far but I don’t really like the free color options that were put up for it. I want it to have like a more used color but that’s just me. And I don’t really like the buying system(?) for it to. Like can’t we buy one of the options instead of doing the pack method. Because I don’t want to buy all of them if I am going to just use a few of the options given.

Okay...... The looks are stylish and very nice, but there is one major problem. The weather is off! What's The point of a weather app, when it doesn't show the weather accurately?! Although it's not by much, the temperature is off by several degrees. And it's not because it didn't refresh. It's just off. Hope you can fix this problem!

Only shows Paris weather. Even after trying re installing the app, it keeps on showing Paris weather for no reason.

Never correct weather. Yes the app offers great customisation, but what is the point if the weather is always wrong? Consistently incorrect data shown every day. It always says it’s raining even when it’s hot and dry. The temperature is always incorrect but my biggest gripe is constantly saying it’s raining. They need to change their weather source otherwise they are just a decorative app with no function.

App doesn’t update (Free version). I really like the look of this app, however it doesn’t update the weather unless I turn my phone off/on. Also, it shows today’s weather and the previous 4 days. It would be much more helpful if it would show today’s weather and the forecast for the next 4 days.

If you want to be specific with your colours, this app is not for you.. You can only choose the preset colours given you to by the app (I think there’s 3) unless you want to pay.

Customized widget not appearing. I’ve purchased the full version, but after updating my phone to iOS16, the customized widget is no longer working. I set the background to black, but the widget is still showing the red background. I’ve tried restarting my phone, deleting the widget and adding it back, I’ve also tried making further customizations… nothing is fixing it.

Excellent widgets. I would have given the app 5 stars if it provided a little more flexibility in the display elements, especially for the smallest widget. That said, I still definitely recommend this app for those looking for some nice variety in their weather widgets. Also, the weather source seems quite good for my area so no complaints there.

Great widgets. This is the only app I’ve found that has widgets that are nice to look at. Most other apps have widgets that are too busy and have picture backgrounds, and I like being able to just set mine to a solid colour. Like others, my widget has gotten stuck on Paris, but I reached out to the help team and reinstalling it fixed the issue. I really like the app overall, even with the occasional location issue. The weather is easy to read in app as well, and I like the way everything is formatted. Precipitation, daylight, and moon phase being there own little bubbles is nice as well.

Great UI and Features List. Three UI is awesome and the features are amazing. I love how they visualize the sun rise and sun set. Quite beautiful. Definitely an expensive app sitting at like 52 CAD. But i can see myself buying it at some point.

Poor UI, costs a ton. Looks like a 4 year old draw this poorly executed UI, and to make any change to the widgets, you have to pay a fortune. Not worth the time I spent downloading it.

Inaccurate Info. Nice widget but weather info is inaccurate .

Doesn’t work on iPhone SE (1st gen). The only thing I can do is add a widget , but I can’t customize it because the app doesn’t resize properly for the small screen of an iPhone SE. I can never click the Skip button to get past the initial 3 splash screens. So for me, this app is useless.

Widget support spotty at best. Nice graphics, weather forecast on initial use seems accurate. What’s with the second version of the small widget design cutting off the high temp display?? If the temp goes into double digits, like 12, you end up seeing 1... which is hardly useful and a design fail

It could be great.. Overall, I do like the app. The problem is that I almost exclusively use the app through its iOS widget and unfortunately for some time now (on both my old iPhone 8 and my new iPhone 12 mini) the widget defaults it’s location to Paris, France, despite me having it set to “current location” and have my background app refresh and current location always enabled. It’s very annoying as, for me, the app is now unusable.

Great app but price structure is too high. Great widget! Love the customization available but the price structure is far too high. I would not consider paying the monthly or even lifetime unlock at these prices. Wish it was more realistically priced.

Finally a weather app on iOS that looks good. I can finally add some color and not the plain old light gray that iOS typically likes. Finally I can get some individuality

Widget not updating and can’t display negative temp values. The app is nice and I like that it has a widget that shows a mini forecast, but my widget doesn’t update. When I open the app, it shows updated info, but the widget doesn’t change. Also, the app doesn’t show minus values for temperatures. It’s been below zero (F) for a few days here and the app just shows the temp as 4 degrees instead of the actual -4. It’s be great to get that sorted out.

Weather at its simplest. Very intuitive and easy to understand. Also extremely customizable.

Working now!. After some false starts, I am now able to pick city with the state, and the widgets are working. Yay! This has nice widgets, with lots of info on them.

Great app. I was looking for a weather app with an aesthetically pleasing widget and I finally found one. This one has lots of options to chose from and gives all the weather info you want.

Ok at best. Originally got this for the weather widget and it was ok. Then I wrote a review to unlock different colors and whatnot for the widget. Then I did not get any new customization. Then the widget won’t even update the weather. Keep in mind a lot of reviews may be less than truthful.

Love it!. Love this weather app. It’s hard to find good hourly humidity data but this app has it. I live in Florida so it’s a must. Will be switching exclusively to using this app!

Easy to use. This app is very user friendly. I’m not the best at creating this aesthetic for my phone but I this app wasn’t too difficult to use. And they have a lot of options.

Hey Weather!. Very customizable widgets that offer a very pleasing aesthetic. Can’t wait to see what future updates of this app will hold, it will be hard to beat what you’ve already got!

Doesn't give weather updates every 30 minutes. I love the design of this widget but it never shows the current weather report. I usually have to open the app for the weather to update which defeats the purpose of the app..

Not bad!. I like the options available and the look of the app, I do wish the price was a bit more reasonable, tho. The free features are also good, so overall I would recommend!

The best weather widget app. This app is quite possibly the best widget app to date! It works like a charm it’s beautiful minimalistic and it just works to be honest! I would highly highly recommend a download!

Nice app with a few bugs. I tried to contact developer but app quits every time. I paid for premium. It would be nice to have precipitation percentage on widget. Also daily menu is difficult to read in both light and dark mode.

Works amazing 🤩. It works amazing i just downloaded this app and i love there are customizable options without getting the subscription!!! It does take a sec to refresh tho

Pretty good🤘🏼. Iphone has been feeling stale for a while now that i updated to ios 14 widgets make it more customizable and this app makes the weather widget look nice and sleek👍🏼👏🏼

I’m not there…. Dealing with a glitch. Now this app is generally okay and it works as intended. But when I have it as a widget on my Home Screen it shows that I’m in Paris when I’m no where near France. When I enter into the app it shows where I actually am but the Home Screen widget glitch is a bit inconvenient. Update: still showing PARIS! FIX YOUR APP!

Widget doesn’t update. The widget is beautiful but it doesn’t update. Even if I launch the app and keep it open it still won’t update. It occasionally updates every other day or so. I’ve emailed support a few times about the update issue and haven’t heard anything back, though I did email them about another appearance issue with light/dark theme and they were quick and very helpful.

Beautiful but not accurate. Beautiful widget, with customization options and very nicely displayed .You can see the next hours weather and the next couple of days, sadly the weather information is not accurate. It’s literally snowing, i see it with my own eyes, but the app says its raining :/

Great visual appeal. I love being able to choose the layout and color scheme. It gives me all the information I need without have to scroll through an app!

Awesome widget...doesn’t update though. Love the app and the widget but for whatever reason the widget does not update as smoothly as other weather widgets. Most times, it shows me the weather for few hours ago. It forces me to go into the app and let it update from there.

Good, simple weather. Good widget that does what you need it to, tell you weather. The look is clean and can be minimalistic if you purchase the extra designs. Does a good job of weather if you don’t like the standard Apple one.

Beautiful Weather app!!. The Widgets are one of the best to choose from. Very customizable and offers a lot of information. Much better than the stock app.

Great weather widget app. Since ios14 we can have widgets and i was looking for a weather widget app and let me tell you this is the app y’all need works great and it looks awesome on your iPhone very satisfied.

The widget option is pointless. it’s a cool app and the styles of widgets are very cute but it doesn’t update to the correct weather unless you go through the widget setup again, so there’s really no point. please don’t pay for customizations on something that doesn’t even work 😐

Weather Icon App. Offers a lot of customization but kind of pricy just for a widget to see the weather if you wanted the premium version which offers a lot more customization.

Aesthetically pleasing. I like this app to make your weather widget look nice on your Home Screen. It has variety of colors and icon styles that will add flare to your widget game!

Widget keeps changing location. This app was great for a while, but the widget keeps setting its location to somewhere across the globe(despite being manually set to a certain city). Hope the dev is aware of this and fixes it soon so i can change my review.

Good weather app. I like the free widget customizations that come with it! The choices may not be the best, but they’re the best free options I’ve been able to find. I’m overall happy with it.

Limited access to stuff. Limited access to background colors and symbols unless you rate the app, so be prepared for that. I’m unsure if I unlock all the stuff after I rate it, or just a few... we’ll see.

More stylized weather alternative.. If you need as much weather data as possible, there are other apps. But if want all the normal weather app features and the ability to customize how it looks, this is safe bet!

Better than stock app. Being able to change colors or design with the new iOS is definitely a big plus on this app.

Really good so far. I just downloaded this app and so far it is one of the best I’ve had. UI is nice to look at, easy customization and information is easy to view. Great app.

Worth it!. With the customization on IOS 14.1, this app is honestly the bessssst weather widget I have been able to find. 10/10 would recommend

Great weather widget!. Seems to be working great so far! Simple widgets for showing your weather. Only two per size for free before having to pay to unlock all the other offerings.

$40 just to unlock a black background? WHAT?!. The app overall seems well made. The issue is when you try and create a Widget and use any of the customize options like a dark background to go with the IOS dark theme, it routes you to a subscription model for $3 a month or $40 for lifetime. Don’t waste your time.

New Weather Widget for iPhone. So far I have been loving being able to customize my weather widget with this new iPhone updated. Thanks to this app it makes it so much easier!

Looks clean. Having a few options of set up is really nice. A little unamused that the basic colors are locked but other than that the widget itself is really nice.

Cute but inaccurate. I like the aesthetic of the app and widget, but the actual weather information is mostly inaccurate for my region. The current temperature is about 10° off from what the real current temp is. I’ll just wait for widgets from better weather apps.

Great looking widget but performs poorly. The widget looks great on my iPhone Home Screen, but it’ll go hours without updating and is seldom up to date and accurate. Hey Weather is pretty to look at but I need to use other apps and widgets for accurate information. Not at all worth the monthly subscription fee.

Great Product. A friend recommend that I check it out and I’ve been happy with it so far. Still need to explore more but it’s clean and easy to read.

Had for over 2 years changed overnight. Had this widget for over 2 years, liked it, looked cool even thouhh it really struggled to update and always showed very old weather reports, but hey it looked cool. Just recently I noticed it was actually working and then after updating to IOS 16, the theme changed, and I can’t change it back:( now it’s ugly and incorrect

HeyWeather. This app is so easy to use! I love that you get to customize everything from the color to the type of font you want. I definitely recommend this app.
