NAVICA App Description & Overview

What is navica app? NAVICA allows you to receive and store encrypted results from select Abbott rapid COVID-19 tests and manage your NAVICA Pass. The NAVICA app will display a digital NAVICA Pass via a QR code, similar to an airline boarding pass, for anyone who has received a negative result. Sharing your pass with NAVICA-enabled organizations such as employers and schools verifies authenticity of your negative COVID-19 test results.

Features:
- Show your NAVICA ID at a NAVICA-enabled test center
- View current and historical COVID-19 test results at any time
- Receive a NAVICA Pass once the test site submits a negative test result
- Validator to scan other individuals’ NAVICA Entry Passes to confirm their status and authenticity

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Worked great!. My husband and I both took the COVID test, each of us on our own phone. We both had a representative available very quickly. My husband was able to do the test by video on his phone. For some reason on my phone I couldn’t hear the representative, although I could see them and they could see me. So I thought it was great that I could complete the test by communicating through text. The folks who helped complete the test were very precise, patient, and gave clear instructions. It was uncomplicated, simple, and I can’t see how it could’ve been any easier. The results were quick, negative for both of us. We were able to both print our results as well as have it available on the app for our cruise just two days later. Thanks guys for making that easy!

Great idea, poor execution. While I really wanted to use this for travel purposes and in theory it’s we’ll suited to do so, the outputs from the process (notwithstanding the initial set up problems identified in the first review) are just not what a traveler needs. Some very simple minor changes would hugely improve the product. Three main complaints: 1. The output that is able to be mailed or saved does not identify the time the test was performed. There’s a first screen that displays a dynamic count of hours from testing, but this is omitted from the document that is produced. Instead, the unhelpful “results reported” time if provided. Why? 2. The same output is lacking a place to input a document ID or passport number, even though many travel providers require this info. Why? The live proctors could validate this information in seconds. 3. The output likewise lacks any detailed information about the specificity or sensitivity of the test, even though major jurisdictions (UK) require that information. While I understand the need for simplicity, nowhere are you able to generate a more detailed pdf. These simple additions would benefit many of the travel users immensely, and should be made available.

Love the idea, terrible onboarding. I *love* the what Abbott is doing with COVID testing and including an app in the process to streamline things is fantastic. Too long has testing been a mess in our country. However, the onboarding process in the app is terrible. No auto-fill support means you have type in every single bit of information, opening the opportunity for errors. No password manager support means that login credentials can easily be lost and complex passwords are difficult to handle. Speaking of passwords, the app refused to take several different passwords I generated, even though I confirmed it fit the listed password criteria. I had to keep reducing the password complexity until the app finally took a password.

Awful. It was an extremely annoying process to set up a whole account just to take a test that I couldn’t even complete. I had to enter things like my race, gender, and ethnicity and I’m not sure what importance that holds. How does that relate to a COVID test? Anyway I had to log in again on the website which just left me even more frustrated. Then I had to fill out another questionnaire, which I’m not sure how it related to the context but ok. When I was finally able to hop on a call with a proctor, they asked me for my name, birthday, and a form of ID. I provided all of these, but I ended up not being able to take the test because I didn’t enter my full name when I first made my account. However, when signing up on the app, they didn’t clarify if I should’ve used my full government name or not. They just asked for a name in order to make the account. I never give my full name to sketchy unknown websites such as this one because it makes me uncomfortable. The proctor said I had to call again once I changed the name on my account to match the name that I gave her verbally (my government name). She wasn’t very nice about it, so it made me want to just give up on taking the test all together. I will be getting a test from my doctor instead. I definitely do not recommend this organization to anyone considering working with them.

Atrocious App. I went through the test as instructed, got to the screen where a countdown timer appears, and the app froze at 14:45. The only option was to cancel and void your entire test. Literally a waste of money, like paying for a snack that gets caught in the vending machine. And keep in mind I was only able to follow the instructions once I managed to navigate my way through the login screen, which you will need to do again every single time you close the app. Using this app ruined my entire day. There are people trying to take covid tests for safety reasons, but can't because the software is incapable of performing its sole function. The company is well aware of the issues in the app, and are choosing to do absolutely nothing about it. Today, I am ashamed to be human. Disgraceful.

Just frustrated. Trying to got to a hockey game and a rapid antigen test was needed. Worked through all of the steps and got to the timer. God Forbid I make it past the timer. Wasted 18 dollars because the timer froze. Never left the app, one time it froze so I said “Ok, I will go back and try again” but no, because it was already marked as used I guess I can’t continue the process. I get upset because that 9 dollars gone. Attempt 2, the timer froze after I went to change brightness by pulling down on the top right… that’s not leaving the app.. can the timer please run in the background? Wasted my money and just extremely frustrated right now. Other than that the app isn’t bad.

Frustration Supreme. If you are really tech savvy, extremely patient and the only one in your family going to use this app then it might be right for you. It took my wife and I two and a half hours to complete the tests. There are no instructions included with the test product to explain what will be required. You have to register each person at before taking the test. There is a registration glitch in the software that most people will never figure out on their own. When you get to the pages where you have to touch “Agree” you can’t find the agree button no matter how many times you review the several page document unless you put your finger outside the edge of the document to scroll down the pages. Simply infuriating. Also, if you do use this test for more than one person, you have to make sure to log out before starting to register a new person for the test or you can’t begin the test. Also, the test makers have obviously farmed the testing out to India, most likely. I personally have no problem with that except that the heavy accents make it difficult at times to understand what they are asking you to do. Good luck!

Horrible flaw in app. Took a test so that I can move into my college soon. The app told me to wait 15 minutes for my test to be completed. It told me not to close the app. I went to another app, LEAVING THIS ONE RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND. Went back to the NAVICA app, and saw it logged me out. I logged back in, and all of the testing instructions were gone. The timer was gone. Thought ok, I’ll just redo it, however the app already marked my test as used. So now I have a completed test with a negative result, however no way of showing that in the app since I can’t input it. I still have one available test, however it would be nice if the app did not log you out if you are merely just leaving it running in the background, and removed all of your progress.

Total waste of time. I got this test from my child’s school with instructions to set up the app after she was sent home from school with a cold. It seemed like it would be a quicker process than scheduling her an appointment to be tested. The annoyance of setting up an app that I would use once was not the worst thing, but the emed proctor is obviously outsourced from India, and that is fine if they could speak English clearly enough and were not speaking so fast. My daughter and I could barely understand her. Because of this I touched something on the test that made it unusable causing me to have to throw it away and still schedule her an appointment to be tested. Now my daughter has to be tested again, because I had already swabbed her nose. I am perfectly capable of reading instructions to give an at home test and I’m sure the school nurse is as well. Why someone that I doubt is a medical professional in a different country has been given the authority to guide people through these test is very unclear to me. Total waste of time and money for whoever had to purchase these tests and whoever is paying emed for this service.

Worst process ever. I’m a nurse practitioner and my partner is a physician. We both used this product when traveling, thinking it would be easier/smarter than haphazardly looking for a place to test when abroad. WRONG! After downloading the app and following the instructions, I got my results which were negative. There’s no instructions for how to verify the results. The developers need a step-by-step guide to walk you through the ENTIRE process, from opening the package, performing the test, and verifying the results so you can actually show them at an airport where the primary language isn’t English. I basically have a useless negative result now and have to throw away this test. When I called the help line, it’s closed because it’s 6am on Labor Day on the east coast of the U.S. Something like this needs 24-hour support to accommodate travelers who aren’t in the U.S. and who need to be able to use the product after hours. Save your time, money, and frustration and pay $30 extra to get tested at an airport before you come home. It’s not worth the aggravation.

Not a problem. I was extremely skeptical about taking this test after reading all the horrible reviews on here. Make sure you SET UP AN ACCOUNT while still at home before leaving the country. I do have to say the APP is useless except for retrieving your test results. You have to initially use the APP to sign on and then it will automatically take you to a website where you have to answer questions before they connect you with a doctor. It is that simple. Do not lock your phone or have it time out and lock itself at all during the entire test. You do need GOOD and STABLE WiFi when you are out of the country to complete this test. Once you answer the questions online, you are connected with a doctor in less than 30 seconds and they walk you through the entire process. From start to finish it took me 25 minutes and I had my results in 26 minutes. It was a breeze. You do not need to be tech savvy at all. You just have to know how to follow directions. I will be purchasing and using every time I leave the country!

App is great, test is done through emed. The app is great at what it’s supposed to do. The app is not supposed to give you access to the proctors. It is only for test reporting and viewing. I think that’s what’s causing the confusion and the bad reviews. The proctored test is actually done on emed’s website, preferably on a laptop where you can control the camera angle that has to always point to the test kit throughout the duration of the test. I assume you can also do it from a mobile device’s browser but you may need to have someone hold the phone while you do the test or place the phone in a way to show the test kit on camera at all time.

Often can’t report results. The app generally works just fine design wise, but I have repeatedly run into an issue where once I get the notification to report my result, opening the app goes to the homepage showing no indication a test was ongoing at all and no way to report those results. I didn’t close out the app or even leave it. I simply leave my phone on the table next to the card and it falls asleep. If I scan the card again, it says I cannot use the card because it has already been used. I continue to get “submit your results before X minutes runs out” and clicking those notifications simply leads to the homepage. I have burned multiple cards and have no way to record those results. Please fix this!

Very easy to use and fast results. It only took a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Be prepared. If you are using your tablet or phone during the process turn off the sleep or lock function on your device. This way you don’t lose the information and start over. Second, make sure you have your government ID in hand to show when asked. Do not open anything until instructed to do so. Follow their instructions, if you can’t understand them the directions for what they are asking is on the screen. Once you’ve completed your test, you will need to wait the 15 minutes for the results. Again do not let your screen go to sleep. Once your time is up another rep will get on the call to go over your results. You will hold up the sample for them to view and record. I literally had the email with the results immediately following and about 10 minutes later I got the results on the app. Easy!!

Don’t rely on them. Delta recommended I use the binaxnow kit, which pairs with this app. I followed the instructions to not open the box until my appointment (which is confusing because you don’t even make an appointment, they’re available whenever). That was a mistake because when I was already overseas and opened the kit, 1 of the 3 pieces was missing (the liquid). They essentially told me i should have bought a second one as a backup and that I was out out of luck and would have to find somewhere else to take my test. Since I only found this out within 24 hours of my flight, as per the testing requirements, I was scrambling to find a testing location that provided a certificate and wasn’t too expensive, in a foreign country where English was not the primary language. Thanks for the added stress to my vacation.

A Great Idea that Needs Further Work…. This app has potential, but several issues that I encountered resulted in my low rating. First issue — I was required to log in with my email address and password each time I opened the app. It does not not have an option for remembering my credentials. In addition, the FaceID feature did not become functional in the app until a few days before returning home from an international trip. Second Issue – The app requires internet access in order to log in (i.e., verify your credentials). This means I was unable to log into the app and also unable to open and view my COVID test results while I was at the Zurich airport (I had cellular service disabled on my phone, and the Zurich airport has an arcane, impossible-to-activate free wifi system). Other apps that I have used do not require a network connection in order for the user to view test results. Make sure you have access to the PDF rest results that Abbott emails you, otherwise you may find yourself unable to present your results when in an environment with little or no internet access. UPDATE - the latest version (1.35) still requires an internet connection to view test results. My rating of a “2” still stands.

It’s not rocket science. I don’t really understand all the people having issues. I scanned the box with the app, entered in pertinent information (get off your soapbox people it’s healthcare), logged on using my computer, and followed instructions. They also put the instructions on screen but the whole process is easy to figure out. Stick goes up nose, into card, find out if you’re pregnant or not 15 minutes later. I now have my test results ready in the app. The emed professionals were very nice. I think I may have heard a rooster in the background during one call though so that’s cool. The whole thing took probably 25 minutes.

Quick, Easy, Painless. Overall, the process took me about 30 minutes from beginning to end. From registering through my iPhone App to completing the test. Only flaw is that they don’t say you should be using a desktop or laptop for this process. The iPhone app directs you to enter onto a Chrome or Edge browser. I may have had trouble but luckily I travel with my laptop. My only quarrel but overall did this in the comfort of my own hotel room with no panic of searching for a test site during a holiday in a foreign country or having to stand outside in the cold. This was perfect ! You do not have to be tech savvy. If you can comprehend English & understand descriptive images. You’ll be fine. The phone operators were very kind and understood them just fine. Register your information as written on your passport or license. As it suggests! And you’ll be just fine. Digital results were sent almost immediately.

Registration on the App still not fixed. It’s been months of users having issues making an account (the user agreement page has no accept button on mobile, meaning you can’t get any further) and they’ve still refused to fix this. Insane. Just constant posts from the developers saying “we’re sorry you’re having this issue. Please contact us.” Anyways, I was eventually able to register by going to the website on my PC, where I was able to zoom out to access the agreement button. Regardless, the rating here is for the app, so they still get 1 star for not fixing an issue that’s clearly been ongoing since at least November of 2022, it’s not May 2023 as I write this. If you don’t have a PC or laptop, you have no way of registering an account. The app literally has one job to do and it fails. Just add the agreement button and there won’t be as much negative reviews.

Painful Experience, tampered kits. Purchased two at home test kits... let’s say it was NOT a good experience. The first one showed an inconclusive result after disconnection from the proctor. I was forced to find another in person site test from another company that worked flawlessly. During the second test, the adhesive sticky did not work as it should.. resulting in my partner also having to purchase an alternate test method. I asked the proctor if that individual could contact customer service to refund the test kit price as the issues were seen first hand... of course it couldn’t be simple and I was told to contact and call another backlogged department for a refund. Beyond ridiculous after wasting 70 dollars and an hour plus on two flawed, tampered, terrible test kits.

So much better than going to a test site!. My wife went to a test site in person and was traumatized by the experience. They stick those swabs 4 inches up your nose! I couldn’t get an appointment for a test that would be ready in time for the concert we’re attending so we bought the BinaxNOW kit and downloaded this app hoping it would give us something to show. It made the testing process so easy and convenient. The process is painless and the app walks you through each step. It times the test for you.…..and you end up with results you can show on your phone. The whole thing takes about 20 min. I only wish the tests didn’t cost so much. $23 for two tests at CVS.

Great Idea - Terrible Execution. I am writing this review after trying to get two Covid tests done. 2.5 hours later and we have one result. My fiancé registered as “Zach” when his legal name is Zachary. We waited on hold for 20 minutes for someone to pick up and they told us they’d advise him to change it in the app. He did, waited on hold for 20 more minutes, and the change didn’t go through. He tired again… still didn’t work after waiting on hold for 20 minutes. Then he ended up creating an entirely new account and it finally worked. That took him literally almost 2 hours because they make you make changes and wait on hold again. Then I tried mine and it was still apparently pulling up his name because I didn’t clear the catches on my internet browser. After waiting 35 minutes and being told I have to start all over I gave up. If they just let you spend ten seconds fixing an issue while on the phone it’ll save you a half hour or more of headache and waiting for someone to answer. I’d suggest an estimated timer for wait time. Also to fix quick issues once you finally get a hold of someone. I could’ve driven to a clinic and gotten tested 10 times in the amount of time it took us to take one test.

Great concept but unacceptable wait time. I spent over 2.5 hours trying to get my family of five tests done in London the night before my flight. Wait time was 30-55 minutes each and after an Asian speaker with strong accent guided us with instructions, some of our tests went smooth, but two were disconnected while getting tested and had to call and wait another 50 minutes. After the test we had to wait another 15 minutes for the results and get reconnected again, but wait time was much shorter. While the process was smooth for most of us, the duration and technical fails did not let me give more than 2 star rating. It is 1:20am now and finally going to bed for an early flight tomorrow, all because of the test delays.

Avoid at ALL costs. DO NOT USE!!! It has been 24 hours and my results are still not uploading on the app. Do not buy the Bovinax test and use it with this app unless you want to cause major stress in your life and ruin your plans. I was attending a sporting event and needed a negative covid test within 6 hours of the game. Everything went smoothly until the results never showed the most important thing needed!! I advise anyone reading this do not download the app. As you can read in other reviews this problem runs rampant. All they do is have some customer service intern copy and paste the same reply with their phone number that is only staffed M-F. If you are taking this test to travel, attend a concert, sporting event etc forgot about going!! I can’t emphasize enough to get your covid test from some other company.

Easy Peasy. I was skeptical after reading all the poor reviews about this app but tried it anyway. We were traveling back to the US from an international trip and need a negative test that was proctored within 1 business day of travel. I woke up at 6am and had no wait time to connect with a proctor and was done 25 minutes later. Make sure to turn your auto lock off and have good service. My results were sent to me just seconds after I got off the video call. 10/10 recommend if you need a negative test when traveling back to the US!

EMed does not work as advertised. Pay heed to the reviews about weaknesses in the EMed proctored testing process. The Abbott tests themselves work well - having used these for serial testing using the OTC self-test versions. The EMed proctoring apparatus is terrible. I logged in and started a test to initially encounter a wait time of 30 minutes, Despite a successful microphone/camera test (on iOS 14.5, safari 14.1.1) when the proctor jo9ined the session they could not hear or see me. They recommended reestablishing a session on Chrome via the chat feature. Attempted - to be notified that Chrome on iOS is not supported by EMed, and recommended that I use Safari. Re-establishes session on Safari meant I went back to the end of the wait line, at another estimated 36 minutes. I do not have time to wait around for hours on less than optimal international local wi-fi, or carry a full featured PC laptop, which Is what other reviewers are finding necessary to have a successful encounter with EMed. I will have to abandon this testing method.

Literally useless. I created my account using my phone on the company website. Worked pretty well! However, I made my purchase of covid tests for an upcoming international trip but am unable to login to the app. I know the password is right and have tried numerous times for 2 days. I attempted the password reset yesterday (twice) but have not received a reset email (yes, I checked the junkmail). At this point you’re probably thinking I just didn’t know my password… so I went back to the website via my web browser and not the app. I was already logged in there. Went to the change password feature which requires entering the old password and a new one. I copied the password I used in the app and what do you know… it updated successfully. So the password and email were never wrong. Went back to the app and tried my new password… didn’t work. I just spent $165 on covid tests from you guys due to the fact I could do the tests via the app in my phone. I have no intention of bringing my laptop on vacation since we’re backpacking but now I either have to do that or let the tests go to waste.

No issues, way better than finding a local pharmacy. My wife and I tested ourselves on the last night of our trip and got it all done in less than an hour (combined) on our phone browsers. We got our results/reports emailed to us less than 5 minutes after our respective tests. We even both set up our accounts after we had left the US so dont give up if you didnt read all the instructions like us =P Yes it’s cumbersome carrying the tests with you for the whole trip but it was great being able to do the testing from our hotel room and not needing to take time out of our trip to find a place that would do it without charging a crazy amount. As long as this requirement exists Ill be using these tests.

Easy, quick, essential for international travel. It just takes a few minutes to set up everything ahead, making sure that all the ducks are in a row. I did make sure to set up app while home, before travel. The two individuals that oversaw the test were great, and the entire process took less than 25 minutes from start to finish once the session started. This process does require good internet connection, Safari browser, and a well lit, quiet location. App is easy to use and results were instantly sent to the NAVICA app. The “pass” is easily found on the app for when it is needed to be presented for US entry.

Arrived >3 days late on “overnight shipping”. I purchased the test kit because the website promised overnight shipping on approved orders. The order was placed Sunday and was approved early Monday a.m. When a check of the order on Tuesday afternoon showed that the order was still pending, I attempted to contact the company. There is no phone number, only a hard-to-find web form buried several menu pages deep. No response. I attempted to cancel the order. “No cancellations once approved,” per the website, even though this was now not going to arrive before I have to take an international flight on Thursday morning. Finally tonight I got an email from FedEx that the package is supposed to arrive by 8 pm Thursday. By that time I would have missed my flight by 12 hours had I not gone to CVS for a drive-through test. Do yourself a favor and get a free PCR test at CVS rather than wasting $150 on this infuriating racket.

Worked perfectly. Used this app on an international trip for the required testing to return to the US, and it worked perfectly. Yes, make sure you buy the correct test that will work with the eMed proctor to meet the CDC requirement. If you don’t want to buy the six pack of tests from eMed, you can buy them in other quantities from the Optum online store as I did. Make sure it’s the Binax Now Home Antigen test. Setting up the app was easy as was connecting to eMed for the observed test. You are guided through the whole process by a trained guide. The negative result was in the app almost instantly and could be easily displayed, emailed, and/or printed. The result shows it’s an antigen test as well as the time of collection and the result along with your personal information. Just what the CDC requires. We showed the printed result to Qatar airways at check-in, and it was no problem!

Easy and straightforward. Don’t be fooled by the bad reviews, all you have to do is follow the clear directions and you’ll have a lovely experience. First off, you don’t use this app for the proctored test. You just use this app to see your results. To do your proctored test use your login credentials on the emed website, follow the clear instructions and make sure you turn the auto-lock feature off of whichever device you’re using so the video call doesn’t time out. You’ll get your results in 15 min, easy! Make sure you PRINT off your results of have a PDF download on your phone before travel.

App failed. I’ve taken 3 tests with this app, first two worked no problem, this third one however has failed majorly for whatever reason. I do not use my phone at all when the test timer is running I just set it down and come back. I’ve done this every time. My screen locks and when the timer goes off I come check and report my results. For whatever reason this time it took me to the Home Screen instead of the test result and there’s no way for me to get back to it. I tried clicking the self report and scanning the test but it says it’s already been used because I scanned it at the beginning even though it never let me input the results. I got a notification that I had 5 minutes to interpret results and clicked on it and it still took me to the apps home screen instead of the result screen.

Great app; could use a couple extra features. First off, I like the app and how nicely it integrates with the BinaxNow test. There’s one ease-of-use feature I’d like to see though: If someone was, say, working at a company that requires you to go through a drive-through temperature screening when they arrive at work and also has to show their test status in the NAVICA app at the same time, it can be a bit of a safety hazard to be fumbling with unlocking a phone, opening the app, and unlocking the app, even with Face ID enabled. Similar to an airline boarding pass, it would be convenient if the most recent test could be added to Apple Wallet. If you could set some kind of geographic boundary in the app, so when you get to where you have to show the pass for a positive result, it would pop up on the lock screen, just like a boarding pass does at the airport.

“Days Since Neg Result” indicator. The app gives you a COVID test “digital pass” for airport boarding, and for arrival in other countries. On the day of the test, the indicator shown on the pass is in hours i.e. “8 hours since negative test result “. Which is great. After 24 hours, however, the indicator jumps immediately to “2 days since negative test result”, even though it has only been 24 hours. Similarly, after 48 hours, the indicator jumps to “3 Days since negative test result“, (even though it has only been 2) etc. This is inaccurate and confusing. I recommend the app increment to “one day since negative test result” after 24 hours etc.

Navica & eMed. I was hopeful this app and proctored test would be super easy, in the end I was just super frustrated. I downloaded the app and created my login info and profile, which was easy enough. The frustrating part came when trying to log into the test. The app simple sends you to the eMed, where again you have to create a login and profile. Then when you are ready to test the site tests your devices for connectivity, camera, mic, etc.. This is where the problems began. I tried to get the site and app to work in unison at least 10 times before getting absolutely fed up and throwing the test away and deleting the app. I ended up going to a test center in the end... Save yourself some frustration until the app and test company are on one platform.

Don’t waste your time. I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought these test kits. I need to take my test no earlier than a day before my departure so I was like that would be perfect. Thankfully I didn’t have much planned that day because the wait time to get connected to a someone would have taken all day. I logged in. Answered the questions and they put me in queue to wait. And wait I did. 3+ hours. I just popped on a movie and packed my stuff. Still nothing. My boyfriend just said to book a rapid test at the airport which thankfully I was able to do. Honestly, just book a test in the country you’re traveling to. This kit isn’t worth the stress or hassle. I’m hoping I can get a refund on these because this was ridiculous.

SCAM DO NOT USE. HORRIBLE Experience I got the tests at the store several weeks ago when they were available. Then my husband saw on the AA travel website since we had our dream anniversary vacation to Bahamas planned, that these tests can be done virtually by EMED. So we wasted time and energy setting up EMED accounts, and he went first, and got his test done and “proctored” with no problems or hassles, and yay it was negative, and yay results were sent to him, so far so good, but then it’s my turn….. and they tell me (I’m paraphrasing) NOPE WE DONT DO THAT TEST (even though they literally just did the exact same test, same box and lot, for my husband) — WELL THAT WAS A BAD PROCTOR 🙄 (way to take responsibility for their company failures) AND THE RESULTS YOUR HUSBAND WAS SENT BY US AREN’T VALID (although they sure look valid, no one told HIM they aren’t valid, I guess if he had tried to use them, he’d be turned back at the airport or God Forbid when we arrive in foreign country! so FOR SHAME ON THEM FOR THAT!) SO UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY US A LOT OF MONEY TO OVERNIGHT YOU MORE TESTS THAN YOU NEED, YOU’RE SCREWED. Sorry … I’m not spending one more dime on their UNACCEPTABLE discrepancies and inconsistencies, and am doing everything I can to make sure no one else I know makes the same mistake of trusting them.

WARNING - 1st time users MUST READ. If you follow all of the directions exactly as the proctor says, you may effectively and permanently VOID your test. I followed the directions to a T and after showing my drivers license on camera to the proctor who was clearly outsourced to India, which is not a problem UNLESS they can’t even understand basic English that is needed to communicate. It’s basically just a robot reading off pre-determined prompts. However, this is the issue I had. I showed my drivers license which has my middle name on it. But when I registered my name in the app, it ONLY asks for first and last name with NO middle name field and NO warning text about changing the name until AFTER you do t. We the proctor TOLD me to change it even after I confirmed several times and guess what? It broke my test and now I need a new one. Do NOT make any mistakes with this test as there will be NO concessions and you will be left on your own. I promise. This is a terrible product with non-existent customer service and this comes from someone who is very tech savvy and in the customer service field. Avoid this company like the plague if you value your sanity.

Great idea, poorly carried out. This is for people who need to get tested for COVID. Yet, there are so many steps, that of someone actually did have COVID, they would not have the strength to download the app, make an account, unlit all their information, agree to the many pages of documents, navigate to the website, sign into their new account, agree to more documents, allow access to the microphone, allow access to the camera, answer more questions, and wait even longer to be connected. This is my experience, and it completely drained me. Additionally, the rep changed the camera from being my front camera, to bring my back camera. This made it much harder for me to do this. Also, the rep’s voice was extremely distorted. Highly distorted. With her accent, she was impossible to understand.

Awful and just called the 24/7 number for assistance and they closed at 5pm. I purchased 4 of these for my son and they make it look so easy but after I read the reviews this is bogus especially the developer responses to all the complaints that they just tell you what you want to hear and do what they do best and take your money and your time. I just need to a test for my son to make sure he doesn’t have Covid and we have the same name and no support available so false advertising and they also said they were open until 8pm to help on another user who got screwed over because they put a product together to make money and this is criminal in my opinion that they care about money rather than making a product that works and is accurate and I need him in school and don’t think he has Covid but want to make sure but I am not entering info that’s personal and waiting to talk to someone that can’t speak English well.

Hate it. I hate this app so much. They really need to do something about not being able to lock your phone or leave the app while the timer is going, and that you have to log back into the app EVERY time. You cannot leave the app and come back to it without having to log in again. The first time I did a test I exited the app when the timer was going (my fault for not seeing that in the directions). It automatically marks a test as used as soon as you scan it so if you exit the app at all before the timer is done, you can’t enter the results. Since then I haven’t had any issues, but it’s been annoying. Today I did a test and left the timer running as usual, but my phone locked as soon as the timer went off so when I unlocked my phone again I had to sign back into the app. When you log into the app it starts you all over so I couldn’t enter the test results. All that sitting and waiting not exiting the app and I still can’t enter my results. For God’s sake make it so you can go in and enter your results even if you exit the app or your phone locks before you enter them. It shouldn’t automatically mark the test as used to the point that you can’t enter results just because you lock it or exit the app for a moment. And please make it so you don’t have to log in every single time you open the app! You have to hover over your phone nonstop to use this app correctly and it’s a huge pain.

Worthless. My wife and I were in Europe and took COVID antigen tests proctored by eMed on May 22, 2022. The tests were negative and we were told the results would be on our NAVICA apps within 15 minutes. We needed the results to enter the United States the following day. When the results were not showing on either of our NAVICA apps after 4 hours I contacted the NAVICA help line at Abbott and was asked a number of questions regarding our tests. I explained we were flying, the following morning, in less than 12 hours, and needed the results before then. I was told the matter would “be escalated.” The following morning the results were still not on our apps and we had to make other arrangements at the airport. I was notified by email yesterday, May 27, 2022, the results were now on NAVICA. Worthless.

Easy and convenient. I hesitated on using this test because of all the reviews. However we really didn’t have an option since our cruise left on Monday and we couldn’t find an appointment over the weekend. App set up was easy. Just double check everything is correct. I waited for a proctor for 25 min. I’ve sat in doctors offices longer. She walked me through the test and had directions on screen. Results were in my inbox and in the app minutes after I hung up. Just know you need a computer for this. You don’t get a proctor through the app. My husband and I both had no problems.

Crazy-making headbanger. Well, locked into the process due to upcoming flight, the three of is endured the arduous process of our covid home test. It took one of us two hours to even get to where she could take the test. There were so many bugs on almost every step of the process, we could hardly hear the person at the other end. Too many bugs and loopholes to count. Finally, after 2 1/2 hours, all three of us had our results (please note we were working on it simultaneously and not successively). We were not able to access the results on the app, but received an email with an encrypted pdf that we were not able to upload to the airline portal because it was encrypted. Keywords: #crazymaking #patience #incompetence #technightmare

The app itself is great. Getting this app set up and getting my tests run and verified all worked pretty flawlessly. I was happy with that. Was the proctor process painful? Sometimes. I’ve done this twice and one time I had no wait time because I did it on the weekend in the middle of the afternoon—I’m guessing this is off-peak hours. The other time was a workday evening and took much longer to get connected. The proctors themselves can sometimes be hard to understand, mostly due to connection, but that isn’t the apps’ fault, so my rating is given based on my assessment of the app itself.

Works well but has glitches.. Positives: The testing process works pretty well for the most part. You really need a desktop or laptop but we also did one on a smartphone. My test went pretty well (desktop), but for some reason they could not see the wife’s ID on the same computer/camera so we had to do hers with her iPhone. The whole process took about 30 minutes each and we received the results via email within ten minutes. Negatives: There is a bit of a language barrier but they are polite and professional. It was odd how one person could see my ID but could not see the wife’s. Not sure who’s end the issue was on. I never could get the results to display in my account on the app which was no big deal since I had the copy on my email. Support is pretty much non existent unless you send an email. Overall I was satisfied with the product and process and would definitely use it again.

Inexcusable. This is one of the worst products money can buy (and a lot of money at that). Do not, under any circumstance, buy the test tied to this app. It is literally just an Abbott home test except they’ve replaced the instructions with a slow, crappy video system. I spent about an hour in total and many times the actual price to have someone explain as slowly as possible how to use a basic Covid test, including spending over half an hour waiting for that honor. Abbott should be ashamed to be running what’s little better than a basic con job while using CDC requirements to force people to use this rather than a home test that works just as well in a quarter of the time and for a fraction of the cost. Using this pandemic to abuse the public and milk human suffering for profit is immeasurably scummy, and I question how Abbott executives sleep at night. Utterly disgusting.

Results not showing up in the app. I took a test last night and had a negative result so I could go to work today. At the gate I found out my results hadn’t shown up yet. Restarted/refreshed app. No results. Called customer service and the person could not get my name correct (which I spelled out slowly at least 5 times). They said (at least I think they said—their accent was so heavy it was very difficult to understand them) it would take 4 hours for them to figure it out. Eventually they hung up on me. I tried going through the test portal to see if they could figure it out, but the proctor said I needed to call customer service. This next person was actually confident, competent and apologetic, and easy to understand. They escalated my case but said it would still take a few hours. So I went to security office and took a new test. Same thing. No results in app. But I was able to verify with them that the new result was negative. Wasted an hour and was late to my desk because of this whole debacle. Take a photo of your test result as a backup in case this happens to you.

Quick, easy process. I was dreading taking my pre-flight test back to the United States based on the reviews I’d read of this app. Surprisingly, it all went really smoothly for all three people who took the COVID-19 Ag Card home test (including myself). Took us about 30 minutes each, and got the certification PDF via email right after each test was completed. The only downside I saw is that your success is partially based on the tech setup of the proctor on the other end. When I took it, there were no issues. When another member of my family took it using the identical setup, the proctor (a different one this time) was having connectivity issues and couldn’t see the video.

They appear to have lost my results. Took the test yesterday for a travel requirement- leaving today. The Covid test was negative and a day later- it’s still not showing up and if I don’t get it, my trip is in jeopardy. The agent that helped me in the end, Yasser, said that if I didn’t get the results, to call a number. I took a screen shot of it, and he gave me an incomplete number. He said that the test was all done. Had to cal Abbot Labs to get the number. Spoke with someone who said he’d escalate it but said if I don’t get it in time to leave for the airport to take another. How will I get those results in time???? I only have a narrow window of time to test and get the results for this trip. There is so much riding in this test- you need to do better.

Too much hassle. Have to sign in twice, once to app and once to emed. Frequently froze or wouldnt take password or allow me to fix. Problem with middle name. No space for it, so you have to add it to first name to match your id. Of course they dont tell you that till you take the test. Then you have to fix it. I usually use ipad. They use chrome . Kept losing connection till i closed a lot of tabs on windows chrome. Do that first. More expensive overnite delivery is only option. They dont say why. A lot of hassle but it eventually worked. Next time I’ll try walgreens.

App needed for tests. This is the app we need for testing and verified results. It’s not particularly well designed. Setup process say you can use 8-64 characters for your password, but passwords of length 63, 59, 49, 39, 35, 29, and 19 all fail and aren’t accepted to create your account. Password function needs a LOT of work. I’m passing tips along to Krebs on Security and Steve Gibson. Also I don’t see a way to change my password. Now that I had to set up a far too short password to create an account

Total frustration. As a very tech savvy parent and preteen, this was the worst testing experience I have had. They need to list out not to use a Mac Pro computer or and standing computer that will not allow camera to record table top. They need to state that all participants, minors and health care proxies, must be present for the results. On top of all of this, heavy non English accents with too much background noise make it impossible to hear or understand what is going on. If you want to waste $200 and possibly not get a test results certified, even though you have it in front of you, then this is the test for you to throw your money away on!!

Stranded internationally. After figuring out their joke of a process to begin the COVID test - I open the box ON CAMERA to discover that the “liquid dropper” was completely empty. When the person asked me to place 6 drops - I informed her that the bottle was empty. I was in disbelief. My international flight is in less than 24hrs and all the person online could say was I’m sorry - she gave me a “ticket number” so I could get a new test???? (MY FLIGHT LEAVES TOMORROW) on top of everything the lady ended our session immediately and did not let me take down my “ticket number” to follow up if I ever make it home. This is a joke right? What do I do now.

Instructors. I opened my test right before I joined the call to save the instructor time and he said because I opened it I could not take the test. I took it anyway because I think it is unnecessary to have an instructor, a video would be alright but an instructor is too far. Especially saying I can’t take the test because I opened it a couple seconds too early the, test still worked and gave me the correct results without the instructor and the instructions were clear enough that I didn’t need someone to walk me through it.

Stop changing the interface & retain Face ID. The app is okay once you get used to it, but as soon as you do, the developers change the interface & you have to relearn where everything is. Please just leave the interface alone. Also, please retain the Face ID after updates. This app has frequent updates & every time I have to re-login on the first use. First use is always when I’m showing my pass to get into a building, so having to re-enter my ID and password holds up the queue entering the building.

Horrible User Experience. I’m giving this app two stars instead of one because their guides are doing their job in a patient and kind way, there was no wait time, and I can imagine they are working very hard. That said: - You aren’t allowed to open the test box, but there are no instructions outside the box - For this reason, the test itself may take 25 minutes like they say, but count over an hour of prep time - nowhere do they give service hours - it would have been great to know it’s a 24/7 service without having to send a web form - the App will tell you to use the website from a computer. It will *not* tell you the computer needs a webcam - after switching from my desktop to my laptop for this reason, I kept getting “network error” - Paradoxically, I was able to get the thing to work from my phone, after being specifically instructed to use a computer Very small and simple things would have made this so much better

Worked just fine for us!. Not sure what people are having trouble with… I did take heed and turned off my screen time out setting before starting. My boyfriend and I each did this tonight for flights back to the U.S. tomorrow from the Caribbean, and it went very smoothly. Had the results within 5 minutes after finishing the test. We could also understand the proctors very clearly.

Are you serious?. This app does not work at all. I scanned a box in and I waited the 15 minute timer to register the test. Not only did it go back to home page mid counter, but it did not let me go back to log the results. I closed the app hoping it would go back to the timer and test session I started, but it logged me out. I set up Face ID and it didn’t even allow me to log in that way. I scanned the test again and it said I already used it…. If I used it where are the results on my page? How was this app developed? Was it even tested for usability? Would have thought it would’ve been figured out by now.

Painful to Configure. Updated: Finally was able to create an account using copy/paste. The scan of the test kit worked. Began the next step and indicated I was not on a call and saw a pop up message to go to a website and start a session (can’t give the site name since the app automatically logged me out.) There ought to be a hyperlink in the app AND instructions in this part of the app. The information on the two configuration pages that my have had that info is unavailable. ________________________________ Error messages will pop up while typing the password. A problem was encountered while entering personal information with a message that there was an error on the web page. This may have been related to the app’s inability to display the virtual keyboard. It is now necessary to start over. P.S. My wife hd similar problems and gave up, so we are unable to evaluate the actual app.

Very pleasantly surprised.... I am a physician and do a lot of international traveling so I need to get tested all the time I am also very familiar with telehealth platforms. After reading the reviews previously I was very concerned and skeptical. However, after going through the process everything was honestly as smooth as could be. Platform was easy to navigate and seemed to work like a charm. Instructions were easy to use and I received my results within a matter of minutes. Easy to share in a simple format. You can also add additional users under your account. This is a special usual for children when you travel out of the country. Excellent product in my opinion. I will definitely use again

No go for international travel. I brought 6 tests to Mexico in my carry-on so that I could test before returning to the US. There are 5 people in our party and each time we try to log in to take the test the wait time is 110 minutes (or more…) and then it never connects to a person. If you intend to use this for vacation I do not recommend - unless you want to spend hours in front of your phone and computer. Not convenient! They need to hire more people and/or fix the app or website. Over promised and under delivered. Now I have to pay MORE money for another test in Mexico. Rip off.

Great for Travel. We used eMed kits and the NAVICA app for return to the US from Canada last week. I would say the only negative is needing both eMed AND Navica logins - I expected the app would do all. Be sure to set up both prior to travel to make the process easier. We have cell service with AT&T that includes Canada coverage. We were able to use that and our iPads to complete the testing. We then uploaded results to United Airlines to fly and were asked to show the QR codes on our phones at airline checkin. Entire process was simple and we have recommended to others.

DO NOT USE. Horrible app. I purchased this kit thinking I could more efficiently get my Covid test before a flight home from Ireland. I waited 3 hours for a proctor, only to be told I needed to use Chrome and was disconnected. When logging in to Chrome, I was told the site wasn’t supported by Chrome. I finally updated my safari browser - and waited 5+ hours for another proctor. At that time, I decided not to trust this app or company and just booked an in-person test at the Dublin airport. I’d like to figure out a way to get my $$ back as these tests are not usable. The company should know how many test kits were purchased, and either set appts for folks or staff accordingly. No where did I read about the safari or chrome issues. Huge disappointment.

Tech difficulties, make sure you have extra tests on hand. The hold time was over an hour. I logged on, using a a brand new Mac Book, went through the procedure, then took the test. The timer started counting down, test was Negative (one line). While waiting for the representative to read my results, the website glitched and they couldn’t ’see or hear’ anything. I was told to log back on. However, the time to wait in the queue was over an hour. They couldn’t move me up on the queue. By the time I got through that queue, that test was expired, so the test wasn’t valid any longer. Fortunately, I had an extra test. I had to log back on and wait another hour before beginning the second test.

App needs work, customer support useless. As other reviewers noted the proctors will refuse to continue with the test if your full name does not match your profile name in the app but there is no clear way to add your middle name to your profile. I sent a message to customer support asking how to get around this and four days later got a reply which said ‘case closed’ and included no information. Nevertheless there is a work around, which is to include your first and middle name in the ‘first name’ field, e.g. First Name: ‘James Tiberius’ Last Name: ‘Kirk’.

Good in theory... Downloaded the app, started the test and everything was good. A timer was started on the app… I (stupidly) answered a text message I received, and the app logged me out. I logged back in and poof - the results timer was gone. I looked everywhere and could not find it. I tried to redo the test from the beginning, but it says the test has already been used. MAJOR waste and a MAJOR issue - in 2021 it is naive to think your consumer base will not use their phone while a timer is on. I work in IT.. this issue should be addressed immediately by developers. LEAVE THE APP OPEN AND DO NOT LET IT LOG YOU OUT

Does not function as advertised. Test results do not link with Emed as Navica claimed. The app was advertised as working outside of the United States, but instead failed to load test results or the Navica pass after my family and I performed the COVID self-test overseas. This resulted in complications regarding our flight back to the United States - complications that Navica claimed could be avoided by using their app. Customer service also failed to address any of our concerns and took much longer than expected. Overall, we are very disappointed with the Navica and Emed COVID self-testing process during our traveling experience. The app failed to function as advertised and was very misleading.

Great idea but lots of room for improvement. I have used this app twice and I’ve been very frustrated because the app requires you to login each time you open it, even if it is running in the background. The app forces you to use its timer while you wait for results. If you open another app, it logs you out while the timer is running and there is no way to access the test you began. If you click on the notification that your results are ready, you still cannot access the test in progress. Very frustrating but a nice idea.

Easy to use and helpful. I use this app for work and it works very well. Results are delivered through app and email and easy to use. Recently used this for a Home Test to get results for international travel as well and it was incredibly easy. Wait time was minimal, video feed was easy, results came quickly and my family vacation was made much easier with these tests and app.

Quick and easy. This is a perfect solution to no available appointments or super expensive tests (especially before the holiday). If you read and follow the instructions carefully, there is no way to get it wrong and it takes a few minutes less than half an hour to complete. I got my negative results certificate within 5 minutes - in the email and in the app. Will definitely be using it again. Highly recommend it.

Worked fine. Set up my account and added my son easily. Went to emed on a laptop to take the test. The rep was a bit hard to understand but we got through it. It was a little inconvenient reading the screen when I had to tilt the camera (the whole screen) down to show the testing card. We got it done. No big deal. Easier than going somewhere for it.

It’s fine, but need to update instructions. This app is easy to set up. It does ask for personal info like DOB, and that always brings up security worries. There is one big flaw that should be addressed ASAP. The instructions on the mobile app say to use a desktop computer to take the test. But we checked with the test maker (in this case it was Abbott, BinaxNOW) and you can use your mobile device. Some people only have access to a mobile device so this needs to be fixed.

Worth the learning curve. I was a bit hesitant seeing the reviews. That said for our family of five there was a bit of time involved in using for the first time however we were able to save time and $ as we were able to test from the comfort of our vacation rental vs seeking out a testing site when out of country (USA). A proctored test. Worth our investment for this family at least.

App does not work. This was a waste of money. I was excited about the idea but the scanning function would not work. I deleted the app, re-downloaded several times and continued to experience the same problem. I have an iPhone. Supposedly you can select your test from a list but that function did not work either. I tried to get in touch with support but I could only send an email, which they did not respond to in 12 hours. They only list an 800 number, which cannot be used when traveling outside the US. The entire purpose of this test was to travel easily back to the US from abroad. I paid $150 plus the $35 shipping they force you to use and could not use the kits. Feeling scammed. Don’t purchase!

It’s an ok app. It’s good for showing your test results but it seems like it should have a section for adding your vaccine information including a picture of your vaccine card. You have to go online to e-Med for the test so I don’t actually get any real use from the app other than being able to show my results if I’m asked for them, and I haven’t been asked once so far. Being able to show my vaccine status would have a significant use even after I’m not required to test every 48 hours. Just a thought. Because I’m reasonably sure I will uninstall the app when I’m no longer required to test.

Not user friendly. Why I mean it’s not user friendly, because each time I log into the app and have to go back out for other reasons like picking up a phone call or my phone goes into sleep mode after not being touched for awhile, the app automatically logs me out. It’s so frustrating because I was doing a self test and my screen went to sleep as I was waiting for the time to go by to see the result, the app logged me out. Once I logged back in, I could no longer see the test barcode that I scanned in! It’s as if I never scanned anything in. So I tried again and now it says the barcode has already been used. Super frustrating! I do not like the app.

Froze during test. Now unable to report result.. Signing up was easy. Instructions to take the test were easy to follow. After reading several reviews, I made sure to NOT exit the app during the 15min test period. In an attempt to keep my phone from going into sleep/lock mode I pulled down on the screen to show the control center and that stopped the timer from counting down, so don’t do that either. Now that test result cannot be saved or shared for reporting for mandate compliance. Fortunately, I don’t need to share any results til the ends of the week. I will use the 2nd test in the box then and hopefully be able to save and share results with that one.

Glitch makes registration impossible. I was hoping to use eMed + Abbott BinaxNOW home test to satisfy testing requirements for an upcoming cruise, but the app has a glitch that makes it impossible to register at least with an iPad and iPadOS15.1. You have to agree to multiple pages of terms and agreements, but you never get to the “I agree to the terms and Agreements” checkbox, just looping back to the start over and over dozens of times. It’s a good thing I decided to do the registration days before my trip because I’ll have to go to a physical test center to get test done. This turned out to be a total scam and waste of money. Fraudulent.

Horrible. This app is terrible. First of all the app says 12plus to join but apparently you have to be 15 to join by yourself. My whole families tests were some how messed up and this was four people! My mom’s camera was shut off because the internet on the other person’s end was bad. If you have children make sure they are above 15 or else put them under another person’s account or you will be forced to wait and it will mess everything up. Everything glitches and we needed this test in order to go back to the US from our vacation. So disappointing.

Trash…. Absolutely awful software and testing platform. After spending 30 minutes trying to get an account created and registered I finally gave up. I don’t know why you need my drivers license I don’t know why you need all my personal information I don’t know why you need to know my kids schools. All I wanted to know is if my child has Covid or not, butThe process was made so I’m terribly difficult I would rather just not deal with it. My wife bought three of these and we threw them in the trash because they were so awful we didn’t want to deal with it. This is clearly more about gathering information that it is about providing a rapid Covid test.

TERRIBLE. I spent more than an hour using the app to create an account on my IPad but it NEVER moved beyond the page where I consent to the User Agreement. Then it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find an 800 number for customer service. Then my account creation ONLY worked using a laptop-so WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF CREATING AN APP!!! Then, the account creation process NEVER said to create the profile of the minor child if that’s who the test was for. I have now spent more than 90 minutes on this ‘self-test’ process and have given up. The pediatrician can see her now. What a waste of time and terrible frustration with this application process. Abbott has unnecessarily complicated this process and sufficiently confounded a person who is normally quite tech-savvy.

Four hours I’ll never get back. Apparently you need a really good WiFi connection for this to work, not just an average or decent one, why don’t they tell you that up front? I was in an Athens hotel, started my test, then my mic would drop out, or my camera, or the proctors camera… the proctor would reset the settings, it would fail again, then I would have to restart the session… over and over and over…!!! Finally I inquired with the hotel about where the best WiFi signal was, took all my supplies and devices to the lobby, and managed to achieve a successful test. An extremely frustrating evening in Athens!!

50/50 tests mine had no testing fluid. My partner and I traveled to Spain. We bought 2 of these tests for the convenience. I did my test the first thing wrong is that they have no middle name block, so you write your first and middle name in the first name block. So my first call was rejection from India support man, then they tell you to wait 15 min for the correction to take just call right back. The next guy from India had me on the phone running through steps, but my kit had empty solution bottle so I squeezed everything and got less than 6 drops. Guy suggested to open next kit need to know if you could have refreshed with water or spit. So one test failed one worked

Terrible service. App is basically pointless. It requires you to use a desktop pc as well. The company itself is beyond frustrating. I am in tech and use my pc daily for video calls. Their site says everything checks out to see and hear me but they can’t get my audio to come across. No big deal. I hear them. They see me and I can type to them. The first rep agrees and lets me talk. The next two will not allow me to type. They can’t hear me so they say I have to talk to another person with a copy paste explanation in chat. Literally none of them can hear me so what is the point of passing me along to someone else? So I gave my son the test. Figured it out on my own and will never call these people again. Worthless.

Long wait, quick results. I just finished mine while in Mexico. Here’s how it went: - when logging onto the website, I was met with a 3 hr wait time. Luckily I had no plans and planned on taking a nap anyway. So I took a nice long nap, and set my alarm for 2 hrs later - when the 180 min count down ended, I did have to wait another 45 mins - finally got connected with someone.. that went smoothly - after taking the test, there’s a 15 min wait, and another person did show up promptly to diagnose the result. Was worried there’d be another epic 3 hr wait. - after diagnosis, I actually received the results immediately in the app and a few mins later via email. So plan ahead, do it 3 days early, and find a time where you can run off, get lunch or have something to do within the long wait.

Use at your own risk. I bought the Abbott test kit for a trip to Portugal for returning to the US. I connected to eMed for the video monitoring of the test and that went fine. A technician was uploaded to check in on the app after 15 minutes to verify results. The technician never checked in. After 50 minutes I contacted the eMed test sight and they said sorry sir, that test is invalid after 15 minutes. I explained their tech never checked. They offered to send me a new test but does me no good sitting in Lisbon with an early flight. I got 2 hours of sleep as I had to get to the airport by 6 AM to get a rapid test to make my flight. Horrible experience.

Worked perfectly.. If you can read and have even the most basic knowledge of technology, you won’t have any issues. Create an account through the app FIRST, like it says. Once I had my test and was ready, I was almost immediately connected with somebody. They gave perfect directions, told me what to expect before I opened the test, and it went smoothly from there. I had my results in my email and on my app before I even got up from my chair.

Don’t Buy this kit, it is 50% Reliable. We have done this test 6 times on two separate vacations and have 3 invalid results. 50% accuracy. We did everything to the “T” on the camera and with the overseas advisors (who were difficult to understand), these advisors watched each thing we did and confirmed each step. This has been very inconvenient as we have had to fork out another $180 of in person doctor visits. And has wasted hours of our precious vacation time. Disappointing to say the least, especially coming from a company as of Abbott North Western. What a money grab Abbott….

Everything went perfect. I was a little worried about these tests after reading the app reviews however our experience went very smooth. We did 4 total and were finished in less than 2 hours. We did have a laptop which helped so much. We also set up all our accounts under one email on the app before leaving home. No issues and all negative. Made traveling back home to the US a breeze.

Great product. Terrible customer support. I bought a package of 6 tests for $150 for a recent trip to Portugal. When we phoned the test support center, the wait time was 2 1/2 hours. Two of us completed the test after waiting. The third person in my group kept waiting the 2 1/2 hours but then getting dropped from the wait line. She ended up spending 6 hours on hold before reaching a testing support person!!! The test was simple and accurate. It caused us to waste almost a full day of vacation because of e med’s lack of customer support people. In addition, the tests I received at the beginning of August expire in October so the will not be useful for our next trip.

Easy for international travel. Used two BinaxNow AG tests to show proof of a negative test to re-enter the US (September 2021). It was a 15 minute wait for a proctor, 5 minutes to do the guided test, and 15 minutes for the test results. It did feel slightly rushed, like the proctors had a quota of people to go through, but it was an easy, fast process. Results were available on the app within 5 minutes after testing.

Garbage. Held on the app for 20 minutes (it said 12) only to be thrown in the back of the que all said one hour wait and no rep. Could have gone to a test center in that amount of time and have to now anyway 😤 The developer tried to blame their partner eMed who pay their staff about US$20 a day in the Philippines. At the end of the day, if the service doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. I had to go a manual testing center to get the test done. Referring me to eMed to resolve the issue after the fact is pointless and the whole exercise wasted a few hours of my time, added stress to my day and wasted my money.

It worked, just buggy. Gave it 3 stars because outcome achieved however the emed side of this very poor so I guess not really an Abbott prob but an emed issue. Regardless, emed takes over and uses the camera which has no way to switch between front and rear camera so stayed on front most of the time which is very problematic when being instructed to point it at qr codes and test results. After test completed, another proctor comes online to see/verify results. The audio went out, had same issues with control of the camera and then I’m having to try to use chat option to get result verified..f’ing nightmare

DON’T USE FOR AT HOME TESTING. It’s a great idea for an app.. if it worked. We had an event to go to and needed to provide a negative test. Bought the BinaxNow tests because of this app. While waiting (15 minutes for results to show) the app kicked us out. When we logged back in it lost our test progress. When we tried to scan the test it said it had already been used yet we had no results associated with our account. When I say we I mean both me and my partner who had 2 separate accounts and 2 separate tests. So we had to rush to try and find an urgent care place to test us. Waste of money on the tests and waste of time on the app. FIX YOUR APP

Pretty Good. I used this yesterday and it worked. My one complaint is that it required me to log on separately using my home PC and webcam—it would be much easier if the app could access the microphone and camera in my iPhone 13 so everything could be done through the app. If I were in a hotel outside of the US trying to prepare to fly home I don’t know whether I’d be able to find a PC and webcam lying around.

Easy process, no issues. First of all, without this app, you can definitely manage to get your test processed. I did everything through the website with absolutely no problems. Pretty straightforward process, both reps were great! I’m not sure why people are having issues, I had none and I have to admit I was very worried after reading the horrible reviews. Nothing to be worries about. If you’re not comfortable with using the app, just use the website and you’re fine!

This app is terrible. I purchased the BinaxNow covid test and have had trouble even registering myself to take the test. You’re supposed to download the Navica app and create an account. Once I press that i am prompted to accept and agree terms of use, then after pressing accept, the page reloads and I cannot go a step further. I have emailed them and am currently on hold right now for 55min with no answer. My work requires me to have this negative test before returning and i cannot get past the front page. Horrible app and and customer service all around. Do not buy this product.
