KittenMoney - Really cool!
I never played the first GeoGuesser, so I donāt know what the other reviewers are complaining about, but this game is rad and admittedly a lot more entertaining than I thought itād be!
Itās a great time killer that not only challenges your geographical knowledge, but also challenges your perspective on what other countries are actually like beyond our own ingrained stereotypes.
Awesome idea, and very well executed! Iāll be playing this for a long time :)
Joshlaymon - Knockoff
Ok so first things first, this is a knockoff of the game GeoGuessr. This game doesnāt connect to that site or leaderboards. So before you pay up, be aware.
Secondly, Iām on my 3rd day of play. I have been given the same locations so many times that I basically have half the game memorized. There is one image in downtown DC that I have gotten at least 4 times. I donāt even have to look at the street signs to find the location, I just know now. Which is too bad. If you think itās truly giving you random locations out of the billions of images it has in street view, you are wrong. Itās a collection of certain ones they have for this game. Which begs the questions why if they are cherry picking the images, do they have so many crappy ones as well. There are a few images that are so blurred you cant see anything.
Edcm1234 - Worthless without the compass - Updated and edited
I downloaded the new version because the Classic version stopped working. I relied on the compass and the flag in the Classic version to get back to where I started from. Those are both missing in this version so itās not obvious how you figure out where you are - especially after you travel for a while to find clues. I will go back to the Classic version as soon as I figure out how to get it working again.
Update: Much better now with the compass and flag restored, but why combine them? I upgraded my review to reflect how much better it is, but I still prefer the original version.

A.U.S.T.I.N. .L. - Itās ok
I got this game recently and the only problem is that most, in fact almost all of the locations in the game are fields of roads with no cars or buildings, maybe a house or two. There is also no flags, it would be a lot easier if there were flags which the game isnāt supposed to be that easy but I just have to make a wild guess most the time and canāt get a very high score because as I said itās all fields mostly. And Iām a pretty big Geography nerd
Bigxstudio - Junk - blatant money grab
The old game app is crippled so even maps we paid for donāt work. Then they just happen to offer a new improved paid version. Well the new version is junk. Limited maps, no famous place or city maps like the old version. The map now takes up half the screen. No pass and play, etc. They just put out crap program to get money from suckers who liked the old game and hoped this one was good. Donāt waste your money.
Brady M P - Road: the game
Most of the time it drops you on some road in the middle of nowhere. I guess if you were dedicated enough you could figure it out from there but it gets old quick when the only clues you have are the colors of the road lines. However when it does drop you somewhere better like a town or even just a building itās more fun.
MikeinCA - great idea, flawed implementation
Such a fun idea, i was excited to play. i thought i would get to see interesting cities around the world. unfortunately i the game drops you in the middle of no where. 90% of the time all you are able to see is grass, trees and rocks. So you are forced to scroll forever hoping to see a road sign or car for clues.

I like this game as an app, but thereās some flaws.
I noticed when it switched to a new location it was a location I couldnāt actually move around in? It was at a harbor at a bench and I couldnāt move in any direction so that sort of hauled my progress.
This is trivial but the home page is off center on my screen, like itās shifted down so some buttons are cut off??
I hope there will be updates to this app. Itās good fun for the price but improvements are always welcome.

Great game, but would be great if you could adjust the sensitivity so that you didnāt have to swipe 4 times in order to turn 180 degrees around.

It does what it says. But with limited criteria narrowing options, like famous landmarks, or big cities, itās mostly nearly impossible to be very accurate. It gets old fast.

I donāt understand why we have to guess the exact city in order for it to be considered correct. In the actual game online of GeoGuesser, you only have to guess the country. This makes no sense.

I bought this on my iPad an hour ago and I realized that I canāt see the picture so I canāt even play the game that I spent money on. Is there any way to fix this?

Could be great but not if you canāt hit the guess button as it is barely visible but mostly obscured. You can barely get it, but usually not.

Happy with it most of the time but...
Sometimes it crash on the google map part it stay stuck on the last place visited and you have to restart the app to be able to continue play normally
It never happened on the free app version so itās a big shame that the free app is bug free and the expensive one crash ... I would love as well a version based only on countries and no precise location you got all the points if you guess the country
For exemple a mode like that would be appreciated because itās frustrating when you guess Russia Australia Canada but at the opposite side and the you got only a very small amount of points even if you found the country

Downloaded original free app. It worked fine for a few days then got buggy. Tried to play the free app today after a week long hiatus and ten out of ten attempts glitched and crashed after the first round. Thatās every single attempt. Decided to purchase GeoGuesser 2 thinking it would be less glitchy. I was wrong. Froze on the very first game. Froze on the second game. Froze on the third game. Complete waste of money.
Tried it on a different device. Still didnāt work. Tried it on a different residential wifi with different cable company. Still didnāt work.
Nothing worse than a good game ruined by not being able to play without triggering massive mood swings and frustration.
These app developers are scamming you.
Do not purchase.
Jefftt - Fun except glitchy
Whenever I use touch to move around the view, it glitches for a moment. Itās hard on the eyes. Had the same problem with the free version.
