NOAA Radar & Weather Forecast Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

No value. No use.. I read the reviews. I thought... “I’m gonna be the one who likes it” Nope! It’s so poorly designed. It doesn’t provide useful and easily interpreted info. Screen real estate is taken up with buttons that are too large. I watch a wider area than just mine so I can see overall conditions. Half the map you want to see is covered with a banner, 2 buttons, and a “timeline” thing. Options, settings, and filters are minimal, lacking, and not what you’d expect. I’ve already spent more time trying to convince you to not download it than I have using it. And it’s one of those that hopes you forget to “Unsubscribe” and they get your money. You MUST activate it via an App Store purchase for the 3-day free trial. It’s not a lite or free version / ad supported. Just don’t bother.

About the past weather info. A gentleman had an opinion about the app. He said they don’t show past history like they use to. I 100 percent agree. I’d like past rain fall for my job and journals. I use to use it at my old job we had to record past moths rainfall for water run off records and it was so nice, but not available now.

Paywall for everything. The NOAA weather data is provided free by the government. That we as tax-paying citizens cannot get an app to share that information with us in a simple user interface is beyond me. This app charges for almost any relevant weather information. You cannot even zoom into the map without paying for premium. Again this information is free to get, why are am I being asked to pay so much for free information?

How does this have 4.3 stars?!?. 3 day free trial? I can’t even see the radar 30 seconds after downloading because it’s blacked out with a message to watch an ad or pay for premium and clicking “watch ad” results in a message stating ads are not available at this time. If this is your level of app building, there’s no way I’m paying a dime for it. Honestly I was doubting I’d end up paying your asking price since I can subscribe to cable with a weather channel and local Channel radars (complete with mobile access) for not much more. But Is NOAA not a government entity? Do our tax dollars not fund this? As a Floridian trying to see a potential hurricane headed my way, I am astonished to find this information is only accessible based on ability to pay. SMH.

To the poor soul who got political here. You couldn’t be more wrong. NOAA weather is free online, always has been. This is a PRIVATE app from a private entity who charges because anyone has the right to for their PRIVATE BUSINESS. Go online to get it FREE then, and stop lying to people. NOAA is FREE. This isn’t political because what you’re saying isn’t even true.

Weather started and stopped in the time it took me to navigate this app. This would be a great app if when you open it, it would immediately display the past, current, and future weather radar right away. In the time it took me to download, open this, and click no, no, no to a bunch of subscriptions (expensive, too), it stopped raining. So now I know what I wanted to know and will delete the app. Are y’all not getting enough funding from the gov or something? It does seem nuts that a tax payer funded weather service would cost 5.99 a week (2.99 on sale if you click in the next 50 seconds, good grief).

Intrusive and decieving. Read the reviews, loaded the app. Was only in the app long enough to add one location, then an add covered my entire screen made to look like scareware wanting me to buy another app. The word on the screen were fuzzy but after clicking on close it came right back. Fully closed the app and reopened it and that crap came right back. Bombarted with adds, or you can pay $9.99 PER WEEK! This app would have received 0 stars if allowed.

Phone ID Hacked -No App Support. My phone was hacked and I no longer have access to my user ID, therefore I have no access to my Premier Subscription of the NOAA app. I’ve tried to contact the company in order to regain access but there is no way possible that I can find. Please help. I rely upon the app, I’ve paid for it, I’d like to use my subscription. It seems as though once a person has subscribed and submitted their payment, there is no further support. I’d hate to believe that’s what this app does since I’ve subscribed for so long but if there is help, it isn’t evident so my money is paying for nothing at this time.

If it was an airplane, it’d hit an iceberg and sink in the Atlantic. As one of my favorite weather apps appears to no longer be available, I thought I’d try NOAA Weather Radar. To put it bluntly, this app is a disaster. It is my qualified professional opinion, that not one thought was given to the user. While this maybe, technology, a really cool blending of open source and third party parts and pieces, it falls dramatically short of being useful. If it were an airplane, it wouldn’t just not get off the ground, it wouldn’t be able to start its engine without first flushing a toilet, but only after paying a subscription fee to use the toilet. Does that analogy sound bizarre? Good, because it’s a perfect description for this disastrous application.

Radar only with crippled app. My review still stands below. Useless as it stands when you download it. Worse in that the price went up even further. Stay with Weather bug, Weather Mate, storm shield for a far superior product without the insane price on this app. ———————————- 3.99 per week? I didn’t even bother with trial. That’s over 200 dollars a year. CRAZY pricing over something that comes free in most apps without subscriptions. You can’t pinch zoom without subscription? Seriously, basic iOS operation restricted? Save your time and money. My prior review still stands. I thought maybe app owner came to their senses. Weather Bug, Weather Mate, Storm shield far superior on their free products than what this app offer and these apps are free (ad supported) to use.

Dodged This Bullet!. Even though I clicked the button “Get” in the Apple store, I started reading way too many bad reviews & thought I’d still at least check it out. I went through all the “continue” buttons, but then saw that the $5.99 was a weekly fee not a monthly! That’s a bit pricey if you ask me. So I did NOT double click on the side button of my iPhone. I double checked in my settings > subscriptions & I dodged this bullet & it’s not there! I pay $9.99 a “month” for Apple Music ( & not weekly ), & get just about everything under the sun, but this is just a weather app & Idk about the rest of you, but I’m not paying almost $24 a month for a weather app. It’s just not worth it to me when there’s free ones & some are really good! I expected more from FOX. With inflation as bad as it is & you guys want to price gouge customers like this? No Thanks & Shame On FOX!

Its GARBAGE now. NOAA Radar us to be the app we used to keep workers safe on site and plan our work and keep families safe. It was simple and accurate. Thanks to lobbyists and politically driven decisions, now we get an absolute garbage app that wont even show us current radar conditions unless you pay fees for what is already PUBLICLY FUNDED system and data. Does a great job of showing radar from an hour ago—thanks, but the stormnado already leveled homes, work sites and took lives. F’n useless. Hope everyone responsible for monetizing this already tax payer funded tool gets sued into oblivion before they see it on their greedy radars.

I’m going to delete this app if I keep having to close 10 ads to read it. I downloaded the app yesterday because the one that’s the default on my iphone is lousy. Hopefully the ads asking if I want to upgrade to this&that are because I’m new and will stop. Heating oil is 3x what it was 2 years ago, can’t afford to pay for the weather report to see if I’m going to run out before pay day!

Free version is awful!. The $2.99 per week version may be better, but the “free” version is awful. You can’t look at the map but a moment before the “Buy the premium version” add pops up & blocks the screen. It requires you to watch an add, which usually malfunctions, before you can view the map again. If you try to add another city or change the settings, the “ buy the premium version “ add blocks you again. There’s a lot of better “free” weather services available!!!

Useless without paid features. On install the app bombards you with premium offers that you have to cancel by finding a tiny x in the upper corner, only to be shown “are you sure” dialog after that. Once you actually get to the app it seems to do an ok job showing the radar on a map, but after three zooms and two scrolls to zero in on my location it tells me I’m out of free maps and that i need to watch an ad to continue. No thanks, this app is garbage, delete.

What’s to like?. My local TV station has a free weather app that I’ve used for a few years now.. I loved it. The radar image was quick to load. Easy to read. Had layers you could turn on and off (clouds, Doppler, lightning, hail…) They’re about to stop supporting it, and referring me to the NOAA app. I was disappointed, like others, that it was a paid service. NOAA is slow to load the maps aren’t nearly as easy to read. And if you want it to do half the stuff my other app did, you have to pay $6/week. I guess I’ll stick with my old app until it goes dark.

Find another app. I’ve had this app installed for about three minutes. I’ve been prompted five times to upgrade subscription, and I am on the screen where I can’t see anything unless I agree to watch a “free ad”. I’m pretty sure this is against Apple‘s terms of service as it would not be fair to any advertiser to force-feed their ads to customers. In my opinion any app should gain subscribers based on its utility, not by forcing A subscribe button onto the screen every 30 seconds. Save your time and use a different app

Tax Payer Funded RIP-OFF. We the US Tax Payers fund NOAA with an Annual Budget of $6.9b dollars per year (source: Wikipedia) and what do they do? Put out this piece of garbage app and try to bilk those very same Tax Payers out of $5.99/week for a very basic Map App with a janky UI. This App has nothing on the Radar feature built into The Weather Channel App I already have an annual “pro” subscription for, which at only $30/year is but a fraction of the cost A US TAX PAYER FUNDED ORGANIZATION is trying to bilk me out of. This App is a disgrace and a disservice to American Tax Payers by taking the information they have paid for and putting it behind some exorbitantly priced paywall. I am no longer a fan of NOAA and I support any and all efforts to either disband them and/or gut the management and clean house. They have clearly lost their way and are not operating in the interests of the US Citizens who they have clearly forgotten that they work for

Pay pay pay. I am so tired of clinking on the icon and constantly greeting me with requests for money. Very annoying and will delete at some point! MyRadar is a better site with better graphics but you have name recognition. I am very dissatisfied with this website. Too bad😐

The Best App On My Mobile. I just downloaded this app about a month ago. I’ve checked it at least six or seven times. There’s a severe storm system heading straight for the city where I live, Austin, TX, starting tomorrow. Thanks to this app, I’ll be able to track it in real time.

Bugs and more Bugs. I found nothing to be consistent from one location to another. Sometimes I got this data other time different data for the same location. Check out the source for maps vs weather, different providers???????

Not helpful and expensive!. I had used this app almost exclusively to follow rain and snow and get a quick updates. But at $6 a month I no longer use this radar and find it quite annoying that the “free” version asks me to pay at least two times before I can see the map. After this review, I am deleting it from all my devices because I don’t want to be charged that $6 a month for accidentally clicking something I already said “no” to on multiple occasions. This is no longer a “free” or useful or honest app.

Seriously?!. This is a joke. It should not cost me $6 a week to make sure my kids are safe 6 weeks out of the year. It’s theft. I don’t mind paying premium on apps that have a basic free version once I know they are worth it. It typically takes me a year to determine if it’s an app I’m even going to use so it is pointless to use a “one week free trial” I delete as soon as I see it. I am not happy with this app and will continue to look for an app that lets me know of tornados in my area without me having to pay ridiculous amounts. Yes I’m irritated we are supposed to be on tornado watch the next 24 hours to the point my daughters school canceled but I am still going to have to work. I know the kids are well versed in the NOOA at home but I would have liked to know if we have any of those issues while I’m at work. So glad there are storm chasers in our area I can trust to get the news from.

Worst experience ever with an app.... I watched 5 ads in a row and wasn’t able to view more than 4 projected hours of a radar loop. I’ll pay for the use of an app if it’s worth it. And I’ll gladly pay by watching ads if it’s not up to quality to pay money for. But seriously, I couldn’t even see any bit of forecast! Every 5 seconds of radar I watched, it told me I had to pay or watch an ad. So I watched the 30sec ad, and tried to see the radar forecast again. 5 seconds later, another message saying I need to pay or watch an ad!! I did this 5 times before I gave up. I currently pay for 3 other weather apps and would pay for this if my initial experience wasn’t total garbage. Figure it out!

NOAA Weather Radar is Unusable & Unscrupulous‼️. I can NOT believe that NOAA issued this app‼️ One can’t access this app, because the ad windows keep interfering with access to any functioning features‼️ Worse yet, the ad campaign mounted by the developers, is unscrupulously relentless‼️ These ads are disguised as realistic weather-alerts, within other legitimate weather apps, or as feature bars; which lure one to check for the warning - only to find their crummy ad‼️ This is a dangerous practice that puts people, who are experiencing extreme-weather conditions, at risk; by interfering with their access to legitimate weather-information‼️ NO APP AD SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO MIMIC EMERGENCY ALERTS🚨🚨🚨‼️‼️‼️

Pop ups with weather behind them. When you open this app the first thing you see is the same pop up. Every time. You have to dismiss it before you can see the weather. I get it, they want money. But that’s a high price to pay just to find out whether their temperature is anywhere near the temperature at my house. Which it isn’t. They say it’s 85, and my home weather station says it’s 90. I’m looking for a weather app so I can see a forecast, and this one can’t even tell me what temperature it is now. I’m definitely deleting this!

More Accurate than competition!. Love this app. I was looking for something that would provide accurate radar, and after trying a couple, this one is best. With hurricane season underway, you need to have fast and accurate radar.

Should be MUCH BETTER.. 6$/ week x 48 weeks in a year = $288!!!!! WHAT A JOKE! Even if it worked the way it should that’s just crazy! For an insane $6/week price tag this app either does not update settings (as basic as changing map settings) or has a very long delay. Very glitchy in all. Definitely canceling after free trial. It would be good if all features actually worked they way they should, but with the radar competition these bugs should already be fixed, especially for how much they ask for people to pay. Must be a scam.

DO NOT GET THIS APP. I was needing to find a radar to see 23 hours ahead because I was scared I was going to get stranded out in eastern Montana. So, I decided to get this app to see the radar. As soon as I opened the app, I got three different requests to go premium. I clicked the tiny x in the corner and a payment option popped up. Already regretting getting this, I looked at the radar. Any five seconds after using it, it said “oops, you have used all your radar for the day.” Buy premium to see 24 hours ahead. After that I said “screw this app” and deleted it. If there was a zero star option I would click it. But don’t get this app.

A letter of thanks,. Thank you for the wonderful free app., especially along with the accuracy, and professionalism of the app.. You’re a very informative and helpful to me and society as a whole. Thanks to you I feel so much safer and knowledgeable of what’s going on and going to happen in our world. Thanks again for all your app. delivers. Sincerely, Jeffery Patterson.

Taxpayer Funded Extortion. Despite the scathing reviews, I decided to give this app a try. It was terrible. Every feature that I would like, such as predictive radar, is locked behind a paywall which is unacceptable as NOAA is a taxpayer funded organization. Please tell me why there is a paywall on this app and then go and download a different one that isn’t a waste of your time and data. If I could, I would give this 0 stars because it’s completely useless compared to other apps that do the same thing for free.

Cash grab.. Isn’t NOAA a federal asset? Why all the commercials, premiums, and redirects? I downloaded this because we had a very dangerous weather situation and it’s the same clickbait Bravo Sierra that the internet has become everywhere. I needed up to date information but you have to upgrade to premium…. “Sorry Billy, you needed 100 tickets to live.” Before you egress from my lawn, I want you to know that completely monetizing everything had absolutely ruined the entire internet. I better she’ll out the three bucks if I want warned that the 2 mile high wall of death off the Mummy is about to swallow my crappy apartment….

What the ???. It’s hard for me to believe that I downloaded the right app. All I get is a transparent covering on my screen over the radar asking me if I want to upgrade or watch the ad. I don’t have a problem with watching the yard. So I tap “watch ad.” I get a 60 second ad for a game. When the 60 seconds is done, the only option is to download the game. There is no other way to get out of that screen other than exiting the app. I’ve done it three times and it always the same. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a downloaded app.

Kept me and my students safe. A small tornado came through our campus a few years ago and the alert on my phone helped me keep my students sheltered and safe inside instead of walking outside between classes. When I drove through campus later on, the path of the tornado was clearly visible with broken trees and overturned cars. I’m certain someone would have been injured if students were heading towards their cars at that time.

$6 a week/$300 a year for this?! NOT. WORTH. IT.. This is not an app created by NOAA. It’s an app using NOAA data, which is paid for by our tax dollars, packaged up by a third party which wants to charge you a bundle to access it through a terrible interface. A few restarts made the subscription price drop from $6, to $3, to $1.49 a week *ONLY 50 SECONDS LEFT!!* after a three-day trial. Did I mention the lousy interface? It’d take three weeks to figure out how to do what I want with this steaming pile.

Bait and switch. Absolutely hate how your app shows free in Apple store and then I get half way through the sign up and I’m forced to take the initial free and then must sign up for the $2.99 a week charge. The screen doesn’t allow a person an out, your forced to buy. So I immediately go to cancel the app and I confirm to cancel and I’m not sure the cancelation went through or is complete. This is a complete bait and switch. I make it a practice not to give money to companies that are not forth coming. You seriously need to look into this and change your shady practices.

Free version too annoying. Really? Can’t even check the temperature without going thru multi-screen popups hawking the paid version. Every time you open the app and sometimes if you just want to change screens. I like NOAA online, and I like having different weather apps to compare the forecasts. I’ll try this awhile and see if I get used to it, but I see it likely falling victim to the uninstall option.

Awful. I downloaded the app to see the radar and the weather for the week out. As soon as I opened the app it was asking me to get premium for $5.99 it was ridiculous. You could only check the radar for 30 seconds before it blacking out and telling you that you were out of time and needed watch an add afterwards. The weather it's self was so inaccurate, I was told there was clear skies but where I am it's literally raining. It told me I could unlock this thing for free and nearly skipped every step by putting the words at the bottom and nearly scamming me to pay for premium once again. After 5 minutes the app started glitching out and slowing my phone and everything. Don't download this.

Only a 3day trial that you must cancel. Unlike the responses from the developers, you don’t get a free version. You must accept notifications or it won’t even set the app up. As a weather spotter for Melbourne, Florida I’m always looking at new or different weather apps. Sometimes I’ll buy one that I’ve used extensively before making my decision. This app gives you three days to try and then it will automatically start charging you. I won’t even give this app the benefit of me testing it because of this. Those that are complaining about having to pay for an app that gets its data for free from noaa…NOAA supplies all its information free to you already. You are wanting to use a shortcut in the form of a convenient easy to use and understand app for your smartphone. That requires an app developer to spend their time, effort and money to create that app for you. Find a weather app that supplies that information free or poor quality or get it from your browser for free. Complaining that your’re not getting something for free is poor form!

SERIOUSLY. You have got to be kidding me. They are seriously charging 9.99 a week I wouldn’t pay. 9.99 a year. Let alone a week. I get the weather Channel for free I get adds too. But still see what I need too. And y’all be charging 9.99 a week?!! Get out and then it said come back for 50% off. That’s still basically 5$ a week that’s 260$ a year throw. Away for something that should be at very minimum free with ads like TWC. But yall can have that. Must be a bunch of rich folk paying for that. Not me. And I guarantee yall ain’t no better than TWC. A week like full price of 520$ a year. Just thrown away.

Absolute Rip-off!!!!. This app is technically “free” but you very quickly learn that almost everything, including BASIC weather info is locked down unless you PAY THROUGH THE NOSE AN OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE FEE BY THE WEEK for the “Premium” version. AND… Most all of the data you get in the very expensive upgrade is available for FREE in most other weather apps. These people should be ASHAMED of themselves for putting such a dishonest product in the App Store!! Apple should throw them and this app out for defrauding the public!!!

Why is there a cost to US citizens for this?. You cannot do anything with this app without multiple ads popping up with every action attempted. I do not understand why US taxpayers have to pay for this when we are already funding NOAA. I’m deleting this app right now. It’s impossible to get any value from it without paying for each useful feature or suffer being bombarded with back to back, long running ads with every single action attempted. If some private vendor is using NOAA, their ‘brand’ and their data AND trying to scam more money off the struggling lay tax paying citizen, then said vendor should be found and charged a sizable fee to use the data that are collected by tax payers’ funding. I’m sure in the end, they would end up paying us to use this app.

Was useful at one point …horrible now. This used to be pretty good and I actually purchased it a few years back. But now it’s full of glitches and slow to load. It’s not always correct and even if you’ve purchased the up-to-date version, it continually asked you to purchase again. Even the worst weather app is now better than this, which is unfortunate. The old app used to be great. I guess the developers are interested in grabbing people that think it’s good maybe based on old reviews. Get any other app because this one is a waste of time.

Have payments gone haywire? And this is not from NOAA!. I installed the app a year ago thinking it was from NOAA and was somehow enrolled in the $2.99 a week plan. I didn't subscribe intentionally to that much per week. Worse, it recently has been charging me that amount multiple times a week. I’m currently figuring out how many hundreds of dollars I spent on an app I never used. I’m surprised how Apple allowed the NOAA name to be in the title when it is from a private company. That seems intentionally misleading along with the ease by which you can accidentally subscribe to such a frequent recurring subscription. This app should be renamed and probably removed from the App Store due to misleading practices.

Smells like a scam.. I searched on “weather port townsend” and this apparently NOAA app surfaces. Click. Off to the App Store. Install. I assume it’s a free app since there is no mention of fee. Open. Immediately all I can see is $5.99/week after three day free trial. All I could see were two options: 1. Accept the offer, or 2. Continue with purchases What purchases?? Over $300/year!! Preposterous. I immediately deleted the app. Upon returning to the App Store this apparently NOAA app is there waiting. It shows the little cloud with down arrow suggesting that it’s still installed waiting to be reactivated with a click. To install it I agreed to payment. That occurs for free apps so I was not concerned. But this attempt to get users to agree to over $300/year is, in my opinion, a scam. I can’t tell if I’m being billed after deleting the app.

Weather map excellent but hard to find stuff. I got this so I can track Tornedos. I’m still not sure it does that service for me because when I bought it, another app was recommbended which I’d have to pay for. I paid the 20 bucks for the year thinking this would be my weather radio. The other night there was a Tornedo and I believe my phone went off. So a plus there. However when I open the app, there doesn’t seem to be a way to check for Tornedo watches or warnings. the color chart includes “heavy rain” Since I was recommended to purchase another app I don’t even know if this app was the one that saved my life for a tornedo. I guess it needs to come w instructions and needs to be clear about free and not free features

Not worth the cost. The advertising and concept makes this seem like a robust weather monitoring and notification platform, but it is unfortunately not that at all. A lot of people have left reviews about the cost and why it’s too high. I’ll just say this, there are multiple apps for much less cost than this that deliver more. The app has very basic alert options and didn’t come close to what I expected for the cost and advertising. I’m an employer that needs to monitor heat and smoke for my workers to meet state compliance. - I want notifications for specific temperature ranges when they occurs BUT Not an option with this app. - I was wanting to get active AQI updates during wildfire smoke events And once again not an option. Not to be cruel, but I honestly thought this was a scam app after a few minutes of exploring the capabilities. I’ll explain There are many aspects about the functionality that seem to be broken, glitchy or underdeveloped. - The top banner that shows the temp forecast is chopped off and the high and low for the day aren’t even fully visible - when I select fire/ smoke there is nothing that shows up on the map to show smoke - the wind option only changes color where most every other app also shows wind direction on the various area of the map. -temperature is also just a various color map, not points of temperature for reference. I could go on, but I doubt the developer cares or spends much time actually using this app themselves.

Deceptive free version. This app is mostly useless as a free version, and relentless in trying to sell you paid subscriptions for features. The radar view lasted maybe 30 seconds, then disappeared. There is a non-dismissible window which SHAKES every few seconds that sits over the map. Every button brings up a subscription window for a feature. I selected this app almost immediately. There are much better weather radar apps available for free Don’t waste your time with this one.

Gone downhill. I originally subscribed to the NOAA Weather App when it was free. It was always easy to use intuitive and very accurate. A few years ago they begin charging $3.99 for a monthly membership. Knowing it was worth every penny, I subscribed. Well yesterday, my NOAA weather app would only open to a black screen. Tried multiple troubleshooting measures and nothing worked. Ultimately, I deleted the app and reloaded it from the App Store. Now, it wants me to pay $5.99 per week, and my screen has advertisements on it. And Message said I could pay the 599 per week and not get messages. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $3.99 I PAID 3 WEEKS AGO? There is a selection I could pick titled “restore my account,“ but when you push it, absolutely nothing happens. Regarding the technical performance of this new app, it will only show me the weather patterns in the last four hours. I can’t see 30 minutes from now what the projections are going to be – I guess unless I pay the $5.99 per week. This is very very disappointing, insulting, and extortion.

Program not so bad. The problem is that it relies on Noah technology for all the heavy lifting. Secondary to that the free subscription relies solely on a pay for play very shortly after your customers try the program. That would not be so bad if you didn’t make cancellation a maze close to quantum mechanics to solve. So the base of the program is not your work, but generating money and keeping it may well be? I can’t be sure I solved the issue of cancellation, I did uninstall the app and cancelled my subscription. We will see?

Worst app ever. Can’t use unless you pay 7.99 a week

Important/Imperative. Important/Imperative information consistently delivered.

Bugging me for upgrading for money. Just got this app so for it keeps prompting me to upgrade, I haven’t even had time to use it to check it out and I keep having to clear the prompts

Terrible. I was on for 1 minute and I got a thing that popped up saying I had to watch an ad or pay 7.99 a month, I clicked ad and it didn’t work.

Greedy. Why is it so limited if you don’t have premium it’s so stupid

C’est vraiment bien fait et réaliste bravo. C’est vraiment bien fait et réaliste bravo

Doesn’t work. Sometimes the current weather radar shows up but no forecast. Not very accurate either, pouring rain outside but the radar shows nothing

Garbage. Literal garbage if you don’t pay. Can’t believe you have to pay to access weather forecasts. Don’t download it, totally not worth the time.

So dumb. Charging for a weather app? Really?

Scam app.. The application will force you to pay for different things to actually let you find what you need. NOAA Weather radio is free and will play on any kind of radio.

It’s weather, the app works great. I love the ease of being able to see the weather and be able to plan my day accordingly.

NOAA IS GOUV FREE SERVICE. That company should not charge per month, NOAA Service is free.

Free - But. Yes it’s free, but only if you don’t mind being constantly harassed to get a subscription. Deleting app.

To tight to give anything. This weather site could be wonderful, but you have to pay for that. Wonderful! Several other sites give you a longer free picture of a radar. I wouldn’t waste my money just to get a longer view of a radar that is free on other channels. Maybe I’m a cheapskate but I’m not gonna pay for something that I can get for free elsewhere

Local information. It is great to have local information especially when you are on vacation and unfamiliar with the local area’s

Great weather app. I like the ability to see actual activity. It seems to be more accurate than others

Befuddled. I use an iPhone 14 Pro, w/512g and was expecting this app to be excellent, but sadly I have to give this a one star. It’s clunky in operation, settings don’t work and the map is stuck in standard. I can select a layer, but to get out of the layer the app has to be completely closed Fortunately I’m have free trial for premium access. i’m going to try to delete a download it again if it doesn’t get better I’m done..

Does NOT Work! Watch Local News. You are better off watching local news. We are under a tornado warning and it didn’t even show inclement weather! I’ll be asking for my money back. Don’t give them any more because they are not updating bugs because they are happy getting more money from us for free. Rich hobos are still hobos. Even the homeless on the streets are more generous and kind to strangers.

Cannot be legit. This site cannot be legit. It pushes sales constantly. Miserable if you don’t subscribe and pay every month. Pay for what?!? Extended 10 day forecast?! 4 day forecasts are the limit, beyond that nobody has any idea and can only guess, but these guys want you to pay for 10 days? Something stinks. This app isn’t exactly user friendly either. I’m deleting. There are several of these also and they all resemble each other.

Greatest Weather app ever 🇺🇸. I can always count on the information to be accurate concise and right on point. Very comprehensive weather app easy to read radiographics best in the business

Could do better. I don’t find a lot here that I cannot find for free. The color grades for various metrics are too general and so far I haven’t found very useful local Information. I was hoping to use this for flying but there is no winds aloft data or forecast rigorous forecasting. The hurricane path info is interesting but no local metrics are available for the storm

They lie about tracking. As further discussed below, we may use information derived from other standard Internet technologies to the extent you have not opted out of same, such as cookies, pixels, and web beacons. These technologies will provide us with additional information about your use of the Internet, including websites visited by you, the time and dates of such visits, the types of content you interact with, and your interactions with online advertising.

I never subscribed to premium. I never subscribed for this and I can’t get rid of the subscription and it keeps charging my card everytime and I ended up locking my cashapp card bc I don’t have money to waste and I can’t get out of the subscription. Even after getting sid of the app, there is no way I can remove the subscription, because it still charges my card, even if the money doesn’t go through.

Weather. Easy to use, always accurate. I work outside 40 hours a week, knowing the weather helps keep me comfortable

Don’t waste your time - AD HUNGRY. I downloaded the app to see which way thunderstorms were blowing in. Won’t let you see the radar without watching an AD & at the same time it says no AD available. So basically you gotta pay $6 a week, way overpriced, or hope they got an ad to watch so you can even look at radar. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Wait?! Hold up. A tax payer funded app charging people $5.99 a week to use?! It wasn’t their money that built this.. It was ours!! Tax payers! How are you going to be funded by the people for a needed service and then turn around charge those same people who paid for this already!! You don’t even offer a free version with the basic important information! Keep lining those pockets the day will come! What goes up, must come down…

The only weather app. My personal favorite. Accurate, reliable information that is essential for daily life.

Clear and Percise. Outstanding better than what you see on local news channel! This you can have anytime in the palm of your hand!

3 day trial outrageous. Being that this is a app that could possibly save lives, I can not believe you are charging people to use this app. Considering I am a disabled Veteran I use most of my apps to help me. I believe NOAA needs to check their priorities and quit trying to make money off people and try being more humanitarian. It’s a shame that everything these days is all about money. No matter how much I could benefit from this app I will not be paying for it. Sad!!!

Lack of information. When you were Underground WX,people could look back and check past WX forecasts. There was helpful information & I have been trying to find past forecasts & to no avail I still can’t find it. Would you guys bring back that part of your applications?

Not worth it. Can get same info from other apps for free. Like others said , us taxpayers already pay the salaries of noaa and fund their entity operational budget , then have to pay to access this basic data. Deleting app. Image is just small box doesn’t fill screen and too many annoying ads . Users are just being monetized by a federal agency.

Easy. When I was recommended this app I thought it would be a pain. I was wrong, and it has been an incredibly useful app.

Useless app without paid subscription. There are a million other free radar apps that will tell you much more than this official NOAA app, for FREE. I love tracking weather and was excited about adding this app to my collection. Then, I opened it and found out you can’t do anything other than look at a past hour’s worth of radar without paying $6 month. This app should be removed. Such a disappointment.

NOAA ? I expected more. I expected more especially since it’s NOAA. What I got was essentially nothing. A pitch for spending more money is not any kind of service - And that’s all I got. They wanted money for any and everything. I didn’t get even one radar image before being buried under a barrage asking that I buy other and more apps. Waste waste of time. If you could give negative stars this would be the place to do it!

Rip-off is correct!. I used to be able to look at cable tv & get the most important (to me) piece of weather info, which was radar. WC got too expensive, so I switched to pulling up NOAA and got even better, quicker radar information. It was free on the internet. Now I can’t afford either. Good radar pics are about all you need to see if you’re in danger, or are going to be. US citizens ought to be furnished radar free, especially since tax payers fund it!

“Free” Version = Pointless. I don’t see why you bother having a free version if the app maxes you out after watching the past weather 3 or 4 times. After you are maxed out it forces you to watch a commercial, only to hit you with a pop up saying “commercials are unavailable at this time.” thus turning the app into a brick. I would give 0 stars, but have to give at least 1 to submit this review.

Looks good but unusable. The app looks like it has useful tools but it’s unusable because they keep prompting you to pay for premium with every click you make on the app. I’m used to freemium versions being limited but this is awful and I’m uninstalling it 2 minutes after downloading it!

Trying to sell me more. One has to go through ads for upgrades to this product. Takes a while for the process of getting to the actual radar image. It has not always been this way.

Great App.. Have used this product in the past with good success. Just updated my phone and installed the app. Pleased with the new program, very easy to use. Highly recommend the app.

This PAID SUBSCRIPTION ISN’T working. I paid for the subscription in order to get everything I need for the weather and it’s not even working right, and there’s not a way for me to report the issue within the app. I’ve had the subscription for about an hour and it may be cancelled in another hour or so if the issues aren’t fixed.

We love it. Concise and accurate. Love seeing the weather in real time and in color. Gives me the times to work outside and plan for family outing too. The best.

Thanks for creating an app that uses data from the government. Lots of bad reviews here from people who don’t understand how app development works. Love this app and I appreciate that it uses data from NOAA and not Accuweather. Great job!

Absolute Garbage. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I downloaded this app in hopes that I’d be able to see the hurricane Ian hitting my family in Florida right now and you cannot even do anything without ridiculous ads popping up and it glitching every few seconds. At the point where it required I ‘pay for premium’ to zoom in further on Daytona Beach I decided to go ahead and give this app a review. Can’t get back that 10 mins of my life I wasted with this junk.

Sucker Ad Appeared. I was being directed to a site that stated my memory was full on my iPhone 13 max that was very recently purchased. It even showed the Settings icon. Plus a repeat Download Chrome ad appeared rven though I have Chrome installed. It prevented me from using your information.

Wow. Useless. Basic functionality is behind a paywall. Charges you for many freely available functions. The subscription is ridiculous at $5.99…. Per week! That’s over $300 per year. All for functions that are free with other apps, or much less expensive. Here I thought The Weather Channel had the crown for overly expensive, bloated, and buggy service. This one takes the crown. Deleted it after the first time I launched it.

Donald Worth. It is the only weather app that I use because it is almost always right on target and I can depend on it keep up the good work nameless

Oopsie. We encountered an error…. When this “free” app didn’t respond correctly, I subscribed to the premium version nearly a week ago and it still doesn’t work! When I try to see my local weather all I get is a series of messages that all say “Oopsie. We encountered an error…”. I have asked for help from the feedback setting and the report a problem feature. Nothing!

Not worth the download. You won't see the information about fires unless you pay. I hadn't used the radar feature and when I clicked to use it it said I'd run out of options to run radar today. The app is nag-ware because you cannot do anything without consistently be told to upgrade. Apple shouldn't have let this app be approved as it reflects poorly on Apple's app verification process.

what I like and what I don’t like. It’s like you can see all weather patterns but I don’t like that you can’t find certain cities or states even if you put into the shirts And also sometimes it just like do zoom out on you and you can’t even find where you are bye but otherwise it’s really good I say I

Just didn’t work…. I have an iPhone 10xr and the app did not work properly. They were more interested in getting the fee’s than proving the products value. Try more weather, less financial pressure to purchase…. NOAA is an excellent organization, however the app developers are not on track with the real life saving priorities that an App like this can provide. In Florida it’s all about the early warning…

Great App. The app is very easy to use with minimal glitches. I find it consistent and more accurate and precise than others. This is now the only weather radar map I use.

Radar. Seems to be a very good app it is very detailed and pews use I have very much enjoyed working on this app it lets me know when I can move in between storm cells and not get wet

Love it - but think about icons. Love this app, but don’t put the thunderstorm app up unless there’s REALLY going to be a thunderstorm … 25% change of rain overnight doesn’t need to have a thunderstorm icon for that day 😂

Deleting right away. The app is prompting me to watch an ad to use the radar map but when I click “watch ad” it says ads are unavailable right now, so i have no way to use this app. I have tried closing out of the app several times with no success. I wouldnt mind watching an ad to use the app but without the ads working this app is totally useless for me.

Deleted Immediately. Downloaded cause it looked free. Then it said it was only a free trial and it was $5.99. It had instructions for canceling but I tried following them and it didn’t work. They were asking me to click on things that didn’t exist in my settings. So I just deleted the app. Hope that takes care of it. Better not be charged for anything.

Get this app!. This is the best weather app for USA weather hands down. It comes from the National Weather Service, which doesn’t care about getting clicks or views, but wants to keep US citizens (including airline pilots, for example) safe.

A rip off. My wife had this app for 3 hours before she cancelled because of the poorly stated cost. I am in my 80’s and have no interest in this app. However, a couple weeks later I am being charged the weekly cost of this app that we have never used. Apparently the app has been transferred to me because we have a family plan with apps. I have protested the charges but this is a rip off. STAY AWAY from this app.

Horrible.. The forecast feature only goes 2 hours into the future. I understand weather is unpredictable but it’s 2023 and all the other radars go several hours, at least 6 hours into the future. 2 hours is not enough time to plan the day. And pricing is expensive for information that should essentially be a free public service. Greedy. Other apps may or may not be better on price. But this app is still overpriced.

Just downloaded app. I just down loaded the app which I thought was free, and then another part popped up just as it was finishing loading but after I pushed the button I noticed it will charge me $5.99 a month… I do not know how to can this subscription on my iPhone.

Worst weather app ever!. I heavily rely on weather apps. I use a number of them to compare what to expect. This app is the worst. It’s incredibly confusing and hard to use. I live in the north east and we are getting a massive snow storm. In this free version I have yet to see one bit of snow storm information, warning, or projected snow totals. However I can tell you where there is tropical cyclone!?! I am so disappointed.

Accuracy. I have been using NOAA to obtain accurate weather information since the late 1980s. It has always been a useful and accurate source of weather data.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, website is free and more accurate. I have been using NOAA as my main weather information source for 10 years. Have been paying for this app for 5 of them, and I’ve recently noticed huge discrepancies between the website forecasts and the app forecasts with the app forecast being farther off reality. When I’ve reached out to them I’ve gotten a boiler plate response saying they will look into it.

Difficult to navigate. Every screen wants you to pay for premium service with no apparent way to exit the request.
