Awesome. This app is awesome I’ve had a great time using nothing wrong when it comes to the mechanics of making a picture or video better by any means. The one thing I will say is that “at times” there will be a glitch or setback when trying to create new content cause there would be an error saying “whoops something went wrong” I don’t know if that’s a bug or an update issue but that would be my only con to this wonderful app.

Vacation videos in less than 5 minutes. This is the best video app I’ve ever tried. All you have to do is select your pics/videos and music. It also allows for some flexibility when it comes to the length of the videos so that it fits your posting needs. The only thing I wish is that they had a better variety of music. Most of of the songs are “chill/techno”, it would be nice to have some tropical or Latin music choices. All in all, great buy if you like posting quick vacation videos.

Amazing app. As a music producer, I absolutely LOVE this app. It makes my life so much easier to create posts that sync with my music. The only feature I see that could make it better would be the ability to choose my own music, either from Files or Music Library. In order to use my own music, I have to turn it into a video first. Other than that, it’s a great app, as are all of their apps.

Wow. So I am new to video editing and recently started a business trying to get our name out there.. this app is amazing.. while I want to get better at the fine tuning I almost gave up.. downloaded don’t even how many apps to figure it out this really was my last.. or end of the road attempt for a minute… it does the fine tuning for you to the beat. Just wow thank you. (Side note I never do reviews.. this app just came through and wanted others to know)

Still needs work but is definitely better than it was a year ago.. When I last used this app about a year ago there was this nonsensical video length limitation of one minute. Now they let you make a video that will actually last as long as the full song you’re making it for. So this app is finely useful, although it could still use a few minor improvements that I hope it’ll get over time.

BEST APP EVER for quick content!. I LOVE using beat leap to create all my magical mermaid content! It’s so easy & user friendly. I love added all of my videos together and within a couple of minutes of edits - IM POSTING a professional looking video across my social platforms! Not having to worry about copywrite issues on the music - which I love their music selection!i give them 5 stars!

Audio. I’ve used this app to create some cute little “travel videos” of my kids, and they got an awesome response on my social media. But I would love to use it to make other things, and specifically pick songs or audio I have. I would definitely use this app more if I could pick specific audio instead of what comes with the app. So unfortunately I am canceling my subscription because I just don’t use it enough with the system audio to justify paying for it

DeJours Review of Beatleap by light tricks. Rating this app 10/10. When integrating music with video this app does a very great job! I love that I can choose to add my own music if I want to. I film with a canon mirrorless & iPhone 13 Pro and having Beatleap in my arsenal just makes everything super efficient when editing. I chose the yearly subscription after I used the app for the first time and will be signing up again! This app is amazing in so many ways and it allows me to get straight to the point when showcasing my work!!! Well done team.

Connection problem. I just want to start by saying I love this app and all its features but on every device I’m getting an error saying “There was a problem downloading your videos. Please check your connection and try again.” after using it 4 times. Now at first I thought this was a connection problem as it said and it might still be but, I’m connected to the internet on every device I’ve tried to use it on and also restarted my device multiple times to make sure but it doesn’t work. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it but that doesn’t work. I’ve checked if other apps worked in terms of internet connection and they do so, I don’t know what to think. I still give this 4 stars because it is a really fun app and I love to use it when I can.

Almost perfect. Ok when this app first came out, we could only use the music you guys provided us and that kinda sucked so I emailed you guys thinking y’all would not reply but you guys did and you actually listened to my advice (whether y’all were already working on it already or not) and it made me absolutely love light tricks and their content. But here is one feature that will make this app perfect beyond compare….. “One Shot” now I say this because I admit I am alil lazy at going through each highlight and scrolling through finding the right scene to sync with the music but if there was a “One Shot” option where you can unload a single video with no chops and allow us to still use the effects then this app will more then a big help for those who are just now starting off editing music videos or just struggling with adding cool effects and the fact that you can do it on your phone is even more convenient. Please add “One Shot”

Slow loading or laggy. After the updated the app become very slow of loading video, I like the new features but please fix the bug or slow video loading. I am using iPhone 12 Pro MAX and had none issues before the updated. I love this app so I purchased this app for the lifetime. So please fix or update the app ASAP. Let us Enjoy using this app again. Thank you..

Great effects but very limited. This app has all the great effects for editing and making cool videos, but lacks flexibility and adjustability. Everything is basically fixed to where you can’t do much with it like trim clips shorter or make them longer. Even buying the premium doesn’t do much but give you access to basic features. The most annoying thing to me is when you need to add another video to whatever you’re currently editing, it’ll just reset the duration and tweaking of clips which isn’t what I want. Maybe if they were to give more flexibility with editing it’d be one of the best but it’s just not that.

manual feature. this will easily be a five star product if I can only edit my videos frame by frame instead of swiping my finger across the screen. after a full minute my fingers start to feel fatigue and ItIt gets uncomfortable and feels too long to edit my videos therefore making the Beat-leap experience lesson joy-able. All in all I enjoy the application and the many features available However I really hope the beat leap team can update to a frame by frame feature because It would just be making the app more amazing!

Can’t wait for future updates. Honestly this app is stiff. Only thing it’s missing some important editing tools like being able adjust volume of both video and selected track, being able to layer additional sounds other than just having one track, and being able to add and remove effects where you do/don’t want them. Other than that I’m excited for this app and it’s potential! I know as they add more tools and effects it will be a top quality app for best makers and people who generally love making dope edits!!

Wish i could give it 10 stars. I was looking for an app that would let me make quick bids for FB ads and insta post. What I found was an app that has helped me make 10min plus features of my work. The simplicity is perfect, user friendliness, flawless. The music selection..... from epidemic sound.... I have a subscription with them because I love them so much. To find this app already integrates their music mind blowing. I enjoy that I can make a quality video in about 15 to 20 minutes if I really want to critique the cut scene quality. The only thing I wish was a little bit better was cut scenes on beat. I’m talking perfectly on beat but I guess that’s the give-and-take of taking the semi-lazy way and not getting on my computer and matching it up perfectly

Awesome! But Pay-To-Use. Don’t get me wrong, this app is amazing. The way you can choose whatever videos you want and have it put them into a song by itself is a very cool concept. And the way you can customize filters, camera motions etc. is very cool as well. But, unfortunately, most of these camera motions and filters, among other features, are stuck behind a paywall. I personally did not pay for any of this, because I don’t think it is worth paying money for features on a simple video/song editing app. With that being said, however, the free features are pretty good, and you can certainly still make something worthwhile with them. It is just a little disappointing that 70% of the app’s best features are behind this paywall. I am still giving this 5 stars, because if you did pay, I’m sure it would be an amazing experience, but perhaps give a few more options to those people who don’t want to spend? Overall, I would definitely recommend this.

Great app! BUT.... I’ve seen couple other reviews of people coming across this app through advertising and that’s how I found out about it as well. Was messing around with it and overall the app does what it says it does make quick awesome videos with cool edits They are super simple but make the video pop out so much more! Especially if you want a cool video to share on social media so 3 stars for simplicity, easy use, style! BUT not being able to use your own music is a bummer and you are stuck using the very very few music selection especially if you are just using the free version and even if you pay for the app the music selection for my personal taste is not very good at all LOL. but I get it it’s a app you know. Maybe down the line if the app gets a update to be able to use your own music, improve their music library And maybe add few more effects a slow mo effect would definitely bring it up too 5 stars!!

LOVE THE APP. I really love this app, it has an amazing automation system and has so much to provide with so little work needed to do. the only problem i have that i know many others would love to see change is the paywall behind using your own music. when you select music of tour own it says you have to have premium. this i believe is the only setback. other than that i absolutely love it. can't wait to see where it goes.

Love it but.... I would give this app 5 stars but there’s a couple of small issues. I wish I could have the original audio from my videos in addition to the music. Sometimes I would like to hear my kids laughing or making a noise on a video. The other thing is I would like to make longer videos, at least up to 3 minutes long. I’ve discovered how to add my own music of choice but it’s not that simple. Once there is an easier way to include your own music nothing is touching this app!

This Would’ve Been A 5 Star App, But,.... It’s got all the bells and whistles but the one main whistle that counts! If you are serious about video editing, you take your chosen music serious! This app limits you from choosing your own music. I do believe I read that they may be working on changing this one issue? If they do it will definitely be worth me purchasing the entire app and being a fan for life! Lastly, I will definitely have to add 3 more stars and make this a 5 Star rating! Until that happens, 2 stars is all I can give this app. Why? Because there are apps that don’t do quite as much, but with the right edits and your own music added, you can create an amazing feel good video! In the end, it’s really about making your video personal to you. It’s about putting your signature on the video and not just doing another copycat of someone else’s!

After update crashes. Before the update the app was working fine, for the most part. For example, even though I did not select an option, such as jump cut, it would still do jump cuts. But now after the most recent update, it’s the first time since I got my 12 Pro Max that an app has cause my phone to restart. This has happened twice in a row. Before the update, this never happened. I also would love to be able to set the duration of the project to auto match the duration of the video or even music I am using. Would also love manual control of when and where the effects happen, with the help of markers.

Great, but extra tools would be nice. This is great for a novice (like me) and someone using it for basic business media or for recreation. However some extra tools/options would be nice. For instance, having the option to choose which parts of a particular video to use would be nice. I often find myself editing the videos in iMovie first, then uploading the edited footage to this app so that the software has less to choose from. Also, allowing for a final product that’s greater than 30 seconds would be nice. So no real complaints, it’s a great app, but expanded editing features would be nice.

To little information out there. Here is the thing, I spent the last 30 minutes trying to READ how to do specific things with this app. For instance, when adding a photo it automatically zooms on each photo. Also I’m trying to use this with music I can use on Instagram, including Instagram audio but I can not find popular songs that are also on Instagram. I assume maybe I need to get the pro version but now that I made a subscription and I finished my first video I can’t figure out how to get pro subscription or what prescription even offers. Although I may be a small telegraph of older users trying to learn you sound it would be appreciative if you took me to consideration and putting information out there. At one point I have downloaded all of your apps and to this day only one of them is worth it. This may be the best app ever used but I will never know.

Great app but needs some work. Let me start by saying this is a great app. However, there are a few things it needs. Such as being able to apply the different effects manually. I get that automation is a large part of this app, but what if I don't want a specific thing in a particular part? Second, we need more than a minutes time to work with. An unlimited time or at least a song's worth. Third, the ability to add and remove videos without the whole thing remixing like crazy. You can lose a good edit and a ton of time by doing so. Lots of room for potential with this application, but some severe limitations stimy things. I'd also like to see a tutorial area, something that teaches people HOW to shoot for this thing—smaller clips. All in all, I recommend the application, but to the developers, please give us more freedom to edit things. It's holding the application back, in my opinion.

Can’t create great video without a great song. I am upset I just paid for a year of this (I thought I had chosen the 2.99/month option, but maybe that’s my fault?) and I can’t find a single song that I can even stand to listen to for more than 5 seconds. I spent a good 30 minutes clicking through music. I thought at least I could pull from songs on my phone library, but no. So I can’t comment on the video edit aspect, since there’s no music to use. In my opinion, an awesome song is mostly what makes an awesome video.

Please let us be able to select albums. This app gave me the boost to categorize my videos into albums only to find out I can't choose albums at import. This app will make my life as a amateur videographer easy and let me put out content. Please make it available that you can choose to import from albums as other light tricks apps. I paid a whole year and I can't wait to see the adventures we’ll create

Needs improvement in some aspects. Great app for putting together something simple. Too much complexity would defeat the purpose. But they need to let you choose your aspect ratio. If i choose square, 16:9, or portrait and the image or video isnt perfectly aligned with the chosen frame. Then it crops in on strange areas. Give me the option to choose where to crop or add black or blurred borders. Od just have my own custom aspect ratio. When editing videos let me not only switch out the type of video selected. But let me choose the moment in the video i want. PLEASE UPDATE THIS! thnx

PLEASE. Developers. I’ve never written a review on an app before, but this app was SO CLOSE to being good. I know you want to make your money, and by all means, charge your fees, but what you SHOULD allow is MORE FREEDOM for the user ESPECIALLY if they SUBSCRIBE TO MONTHLY/YEARLY FEES. Example. WHY in the world would you not let the user place the effects where THEY want? PLEASE! This app would be the BEST video editing app if you gave the user the ability to CHOOSE for themselves where they want effects to time up in their own video. Yes I understand the simplicity you want to keep for new people, and yes you have a different app that does editing more precise but holy moly it is not the same and is also limited on basic functions. Sorry. For the more advanced AND/OR paying customers, at least give the option to do and to place EFFECTS WITH UNLIMITED amount! Why on earth would you limit how many times I can fast cut? Boomerang? Etc. Please. This app could surpass every other app out there. All you have to do is listen to your client base, and update with new effects. SIMPLE. I Hope you see this -much love

Very Basic and Limited. The concept of this app is great but the ability to edit the clips is very limited. You can’t edit like cut the clips on the fly, nor where to put the effects on the clips. You’re just stuck at whatever the app wants to add the effects on. If they would update, at least let the users have the ability to cut the clips within the app. Therefore, this app deserves 2 stars for being super easy but after months of dealing with the limitation of this app, I decided to cancel my subscription.

Ok, so, the app is great. 👍I really enjoy editing and this is super beginner friendly. 😊The only problem is it charges you for the good features💵🤑.You make cool photos but the app was advertised for the features that actually sets it apart from the other editing apps. So…the developers should open up more features for the free version. People who want to pay extra WILL pay extra for the cooler features, even if the free version is super great. This is a proven theory. Even though people will pay the prices, some won’t or can’t. This then makes the app get old to the free users. I have the whole set of apps and all of them need this! Deprecated and Abandoned.. This deserves zero stars. It doesnt get improved . This doesnt even integrate with Apple Music. You cant use purchased songs.. their library is underwhelming. It’s time to add Stable Diffusion. It’s not a novelty anymore or a marketing accessory. The Subscription needs AI imagery. i would expect this app to have AI Music when that comes out next month. It gets updates that don't change anything. The algorithm that sets images and videos up is not that good and tends to repeat stuff rather than show extended selected content. Not to mention this is one of the Leap apps that doesn't look like it's going to get Stable Diffusion integration; so it's essentially an abandoned ugly cousin of the other apps. One would hope they are cognizant of how poorly it reflects on your company when utilizing canned replies when responding to criticism.

Shutting down. I’ve used the app before and loved it but now the app keeps shutting down when i attempt to add a music file! I’ve sent an email and the log since then I haven’t heard from them at all!!! It’s been awhile since they’ve emailed me in regards to this but no updates on when this is going to get fixed!! The app keeps crashing and no information from them at all! The app started crashing on June 7 when I purchased the pro version. I sent multiple emails and sent everything they needed till then no response on when it’s getting fixed! Today is June 16 and no updates

Lacks one foundation feature. The ability to not have the AI automatically slice up your video into randomly different parts would be nice. If I import a video I made, then I want the video to simply play fully thru just like I composed it too do. All I need the app to do is add a zoom in whenever it recognizes a beats dropped, however, this app will take my full video on its own & without me adding any effect in the video it will only automatically play the video at random parts that I didn’t select or specify which is quite annoying. Its doing the most & being extra for no good reason. I like the effects that are available tho & hope they expand. But, in my opinion they first need to address the videos you import in the app from weirdly rearranging itself to different parts & orders. The Developers know exactly what I’m talking about.

Video Albums. I will never go back and review all of the videos I have ever taken on my iPhone. By using this app, I can take all of the best video clips of a memorable event and put them together in one short video. It captures the entire day, or the entire special event in 30 seconds to 90 seconds. THAT is some thing I know I will go back and watch for the rest of my life. Glad to be able to store these memories!

Does not sync to audio files you have. I’m not sure of this is a recent change however Beatleap no longer syncs your videos to the audio track of your choice. It only syncs your video clips to the audio tracks they have on the app (which isn’t trending audio). I paid for this app just so it can do exactly what I didn’t want it to do. What makes this app any different then the others ? I gave it 2 stars because when I first used the app it cut my clips to a audio beat I had uploaded and it was perfection. Now I’m doing my second and third video it’s not syncing my clips up to the beat of my song of choice. I definitely want a refund.

App is cool but needs improvements. I like the idea of this app but it is missing a really important tool and that is to allow you to pull your own clips from the videos you upload. This app picks those clips for you which is awful because then I have to upload to a different app and clip clips there then bring it over to this app. And for a app that doesn’t allow us to choose clips and rearrange them to our liking it is far too steep at 7.99 a month.

Eh.. I liked the app in the beginning of use until I realize you cannot crop pics. A lot of my pics has faces cut out of no matter what format I chooses. I cannot choose which part of the video I want to use and music is limited. Would like to be able to use my own music. I saw that a year ago other reviewers complained about the same thing I’m complaining about… and yet not update on those issues. Other apps can do it.. so why haven’t it been figured out yet. The only thing I like about this app is the music syncing and add ons you can put into it. Otherwise it’s not worth the monthly subscription. I will be canceling.

Money scam. I should have read the negative reviews first. This app is not free. You HAVE TO chose a pay subscription to be able to use it, so I have chosen $2.99 per month with “cancel any time”. I downloaded the app to try it and was not happy with it. It did not work automatically “per beat” as they state so it was a lot of manual adjustments that I do on my free app. I have deleted the app and went to my apple account to cancel the subscription only to find out they charged me for the entire year!!!!! And not for a month as I’ve selected. I Immediately checked my credit card only to find out they have charged my credit card $36. And it was within 10 min!!!! Horrible app scam. No I have to call my credit card company and Contact apple to dispute this transaction.

Good app, few things under an paywall that should not be in one in the first place. The app is great for montages and is mostly bug free, but one major issue. The way that you upload music from your device is behind a paywall. When the music type that you want is not there, without the pro membership, it’s too bad so sad. Change that and this will be one of the best apps for video editing in general. 4/5

Promising but falling short in a few areas. I think this app has crazy potential. I like it overall but my constructive criticism touches on a few things. Biggest thing is it repeats different parts of the same clips over and over - making it look redundant like not enough thought was put into the video the app creates. I’d recommend having some more manual control over this or if you want to be rockstars about it, set the software that arranges the clips to pull in more of them and show a clip just once - or give us the option for it. Variety would be great in this area for a more fleshed out video. Love the effects it has but it’s time for some additional ones - it has been a few years. As an option, having manual control over where to put the colored dots (the effects) would make it more fun and “individual”. I like the “mood” button, but some additional moods like nostalgic, aggressive, etc. Solid app but it could be so much more with some additional creative thinking.

Great app but limited options. This app is super useful and the tools are very easy to use. However I wish it let us have a bit more control over how certain effects look. The effect most people use, the one that actually makes an image or video appear to be bouncing along with the beat , sometimes doesn’t feel heavy enough. The prism effect in the app encapsulates what I wish the other effects could do

Amazing app for new business owners!!!. I have been using Beatleap for about year now creating videos of my work for my business. I love the everything about this app, it’s super convenient, fast, the transitions, edits options, tools options , music selection has help my business content flourish as a new business owner. I would definitely recommend this app!!!!

They need to update and improve. This app deserves a complete Grade F. A ( 1 out of 100, I’ll give this thing about a 10 with my honest opinion and this is just tough criticism which I feel like you guys will not take into consideration. This APP you put on the market then give the worst selection on bringing in the video “ like the length or time like are you guys that lazy not to put in scissors where I can properly edit the video to my Pacific time that I would want not with the app wants. Now I truly believe that it’s just truly believe it’s this APP is undeveloped, who makes it where you cannot choose no music or bring in music from an a platform? The weakest selection of music! Then what makes it truly the worst APP on the dang planet you don’t even let the individual edit or choose where he/she want to put Black fade fast cut zoom boomerang jump cut slow Mo speed, like this is so depressing that you have a app choose the location and where it should put it inside of the individual who is making the visual choose for them self even writing this was depressing because the app since awful low vibration I don’t care what anybody else see on the App Store on Google you need to fix PLEASE !! PS update ASAP !!! ... Please make a subscription at 3 to 4 dollars or five dollars where you can do whatever in the app that you please I feel like you guys should at least do.

Limited. Everything about this app is limited capabilities. The time limit is restricted, unless you want to pay for it. And even if you pay for the music, it’s limited, and the quality of stuff that it provides. Lastly, you’re limited on what you can do editing wise. Unless you pay the fee, you won’t be able to do much with your video. the subscriptions aren’t worth it, and this app is it worth your time.

Decent product but not cheap. This product does some great things very easily but if you expect a perfect product, it is not. Throw some short clips together and Beatleap’s algorithm does a pretty good job piecing it together. You could stop there and have a fun video to post to social media or you could swap some clips, change the focus in each clip and even add some fun effects. Now it’s even better! Now the bad. In my experience it has jumbled up my videos to where I have to redo them which is really annoying. Also if you add too many effects it rearranges your clips to some other order for no reason. Support has admitted this and say they hope to address it in a future release. I paid $60 for the annual unlimited fee and if I use it as I explained it will be fine, but I would expect these impacting bugs to be fixed; hence I can only give it three stars, otherwise it would be 4. If it allowed a little more manual ability to place effects where you want and allow final videos to be 2-3 minutes then it’s five stars all the way.

Pretty good. I’ve been looking for an AI made movie editor for a long time, just for the fact that I make compilation videos and PMV‘s and I like the randomness of AI generating what parts of the clips that I put into the app. the only 3 drawbacks to this app for me that I’ve found are, one, you can only have a one minute long video. and two, the AI is kind of weak in the fact that it will we use the same part of the same clip like 5 to 10 to even 15 or 20 times for the video. so it ends up being mostly just one part of a single clip for a majority of the video. I’ve tried 25 (10 second) clips, and it does this, I’ve also tried only a few long (15 minute) clips, and it does the same, picking the same few seconds of the clips many times. The last drawback is that with the shuffle button (it reshuffles the parts of clips used, to give a new compilation using the same clips), its not random enough, the video ends up being too similar to the last shuffle. I think with a little bit of time and some more development of the AI this app will be awesome! it’s already pretty good. I use this app on the new IPad mini 6 with the A14 chip, and everything loads very fast. I purchased this 2 nights ago, and I have used it already for almost 8 hours total, it’s worth the monthly price. If you’re on the fence, or a PMV maker looking for an app to assist you, this definitely is very helpful.

Mediocre and random. Spent $9.99 to try this for a month because I had high hopes…. If you are trying to get an edit done very quickly, this is the app for you. If you like to crop and zoom on specific areas of an image or a video, if you like to choose where certain transitions happen, if you like to use your own music, or no music at all, if you want a custom time video where all of your content can make it in, this is NOT THE APP FOR YOU. The customization in this app is so limited, it is sad. The effects possible are great, but the inability to edit where the random computer generated effects end up, is so sad. I wanted this app to work for me, but sadly it’s going right back where it came from, and it’s on to the next. Too expensive and too limited for my liking.

moving to a predatory pricing structure. i let my sub lapse and went to re-up and now they only offer weekly at $5 per. for an app that hasn’t had new features in at least a year (probably more, there haven’t even been tweaks to the algorithm), making the monthly fee more than half of what the annual fee was just last month which i would have renewed if i had the money at the time, that’s just predatory. tell leadership that “AI” is a bad investment which is obvious by the change in the in the pricing structure. give us the old apps back and kick the AI industry in the nuts and tell them to go hangout with the loser nfts.

Video duration is not changeable. Weak editor… The highlight selection and Clip duration is not edible. No option to change how long a section of your video clip is playing for. No crop options as well for video clips; which would offer the same results I just mentioned. This is a Major bug problem. If you have you have 2 10sec videos, Beatleap may decide first video plays for 1sec and the 2nd video is 3 secs. You can adjust where the video starts playing from but not change that 1 or 3sec duration. GoPro offers a similar app and dose not have this issue, they offer adjusting the clip duration and more then 1 highlights with in the same video clip, which is similar to setting highlight duration. Further more, GoPro can highlight some cool audio such speaking, and lower music volume for a few secs while the highlight audio coming from the video clip is playing. Its really an awesome feature. Can be fully adjusted or turned off of course. Gopro app also cost cheeper, this app is just hype and cost more.

Should be better for the price. This app and the controls available are not what I would expect from a paid app, especially one as expensive as this. The apps automatic creation is very poor, in that it will select the same image multiple times, which I don’t understand. You can replace these (but why should this be needed to begin with?). If you choose to add more photos the app will repopulate the timeline and what you just adjusted is undone and you have to restart the process all over again, with finding images duplicated. Absolutely terrible experience. After just a few days I would rather have a refund than continue using the app. I could just use the app I was using prior to this. It may not have done exactly what this does, but it was more of a help than headache to me.

And also I’m lacking natural sounds, trees, water, rainfalls, maybe even medinal songs rather that all the mainstream. Don’t resonate with lot of the pop tunes that the app offers. But I Understand is my taste. However is a quick app . Pretty cool tool for a fast editing.

However, in my opinion, the pricing is probably too expensive for the casual user looking at using some of the locked features although admittedly not so for someone using it often. Free music from camera roll. Camera roll music should at least be free without pro, the music without pro isn’t the best either. All though the app is great but it can annoy you when you just want good music on it.

No HD export. The AI performs very well at creating a nice video edit, with some flexibility. The biggest drawback is the lack of export options. Needs to be able to export at source resolution up to 4K.

Good concept - struggles with still images?. Loaded in images and no matter what music was selected it seemed to make the same cuts and struggle with actually cutting to the beat - results in odd video. The cuts were not consistent and pushing the “fast cut” button only seems to increase the cuts at certain points throughout the video, not overall.

Good app. Yearly subscription not showing.. This is a great app. But, the description says there is yearly subscriptions available, but in the app, it only shows a weekly subscription. How can I purchase a yearly (or lifetime) subscription?

Not for me. I wish they had a trial version even for a 24 hour period. I downloaded it, paid a yearly membership which said you could cancel anytime, not knowing that also meant full payment would be kept. I used this for all of 10 minutes to realize that this was not at all what was useful to me and the music selection was slim and not for me. Sad to have spent money on this only to realize the limitations.

Doesn’t let you do what you want. I only wanted to crop a small part of a video out but it was forcing me to add music, and there was no option to bypass this or get rid of it in a later step. Annoying.

Edit is more complicated than necessary. Should be easier to change the order of selected photos/vids for reels. Drag and reorder? Number them myself? Anything. This is so darned frustrating.

Not worth it at all.. Says it changes photos/videos to the beat. But it changes to random beats (even upbeats and not downbeats) and impossible to tweak clips to adjust to music. It also randomly repeats a video/photo already shown in the segment and there’s no way to adjust. Might work if your video is 15sec max. This app is for someone who wants to put no work into their video and doesn’t care how it’ll turn out.

You need to put as much effort into this as you do Videoleap. Add ability to measure BPM for edits and turn it more towards musicians / audio producers and you’d be set instead it seems like you’re slowly putting bits of this into Videoleap and leaving this one behind in development? Some of us just wanna make cool music videos for our own tunes and are fine with paying for this and still waiting for more updated features.

I have been seeing interesting apps popping up, like( kaiber Ai ), with the emerge of Ai prompts, I hope beatleap add dept and flexibility for creators to do more with beatleap, than what it has right now, I hope they can add some generative effects, elements on the videos or images and have beats react to them simultaneously… to get that epic synchronization of visuals, audio, mood, etc.

Sucks. Could not get it to slice up a video with audio already. then couldnt get more beats, it would only detect a few. Faster to do it in videoleap. And it sucks they don't give videoleap customers a chance to try it free first. sucks all around.

The tweak function is buggy. Sometimes it wouldn’t save my tweaks and I find myself having to redo all the tweaking multiple times. I’m the end I’m probably better off editing the video from scratch to the beat using CapCut

Poor connection or poor app?. This app is terrible. Keeps saying “can’t make video due to poor connection” even though I have tried multiple wifis (that can load any videos instantly) and my data. Why pay for an app to make videos if you can’t even make them?

Wish more time for video. I love it but I would like the video to be longer than 30 seconds at least 2 minutes

One small tweak..!. Everything is practically perfect about the app and it’s functions but my only critique is the ability to manually move and place certain effects for a more personal touch to give us a little more creative control. Horrible app!! Not free!!. I just wasted my time making a video and now I have to pay to save it? What the point? It is not free!

Good but could be better. This app does exactly what it says it does. It does put your videos on beat (which is a real pain in the rear with their other app since you can’t see the music wave well enough to time it properly). You can change out the random video it chooses or the segment of the video… but what you can’t do is rearrange the videos. This is the biggest problem with this otherwise great app. If they combined the original app with this one it would be really good, which in my opinion would simply be allowing you to arrange the videos how you want. When you’re doing a video where chronology matters it randomizes them and trying to switch them out is frustrating and time consuming.

Deleted. Won’t let you save a video unless you buy. Not going to buy at their prices so no point in spending time learning the app. What I will say is the app seemed okay but because I am not going to waste time twerking the vid I made because I can’t save it… why put in the effort. Either watermark a free version so we can save it and show it on social media (free advertising) or give us very limited features but allow us to save. Who is going to buy without trying the app and seeing the product on social media ??

Cool features. This app has some really cool features considering that it’s partially free and partially you’d have to pay for a premium. I wish I could just get features by watching some commercials or something like that. But other than that I enjoyed it. I think the only thing that really annoys me is that you have to pay for anything longer than 30 seconds.

Amazing app… would love to see future updates!. I think the concept and overall use of this app is incredibly. In the future I’d like to see audio syncing. So if I’m shooting a music video, the audio from the video matches the music and syncs. That would be the cherry on top for sure.

Loss of control. When importing videos you can’t trim out parts of the video you want to or don’t want to use. This was upsetting to find. I had to make a copy of the clips in my photo gallery, edit those down and import them. Even still the app decides which part of the video it’s going to use and you can’t trim or scrub left to right, or split. Which really makes it random. Works if that’s what you want but there is way too much loss of control for me to make this useful beyond one or two fun quick uses.

Best Promo Videos Ever!. If you’re looking to do something super quick and easy to promote any kind of a music video or a photo shoot or behind the scenes work, this is a one stop for you. All you have to do is click as many videos as you want, you can shuffle through all of the cuts and edits that the app makes for you and then add some music to it. I am so stoked about this product

Perfect app. Great app to edit videos only wish there was a blended format to transfer from landscape to horizontal or edit my video so I could place the part I want others to see in the video. Instead of it being locked to just the center of the video no matter the format.

Music choice is awful. After going through the music choices a few times my overall conclusion is the creators haven’t put much attention into the music. C’mon it’s called Beatleap! Even though the artists are underground unknown, there isn’t enough quality beats to add to your videos. The ease of using the app is good, I will give it that. Good, but focus on something other than a face.. I made an animation of me drawing something and there is this one point where I check if the camera is still on. It used two clips five times and didn’t even show the art. I wasn’t trying to reveal my face. Make a feature if you want a face in it or not that would help a lot.

DONT GET THIS APP GET VIDEOLEAP. Ok so basically I decided to get this app after videoleap was showing to download it and its so much more worse than videoleap. First off, I forces you to pick music for your video but what if I don’t want to? Thats my first problem. Second of all, there isn’t a point in downloading it if 75% of the features is premium then people who can’t or dont want to pay but still edit, download videoleap its SO much better. But getting with the 3rd problem, YOU CANNOT PLACE THE VIDEOS IN THE ORDER YOU WANT IN PREMIUM LIKE WHAT THE HECK GET VIDEOLEAP SO MUCH BETTER AND THE APP EVEN CUTS OUT SOME OF YOUR VIDEOS

Far too expensive. This app is very functional and definitely easy to use, very user-friendly, but unfortunately without a subscription you cannot save even part of any video. Furthermore the subscription begins at a price twice that of many other video apps which makes it subsequently far too expensive for what you get. However, if the App makers offered several choices of subscriptions then the app might be 5 stars. As such, the app is not worth the expense.

$30/yr sub increase?. One of the only apps I allowed myself a yearly subscription to. I don’t recall what the price was when I started that sub back in July, but I seriously doubt it was $35/yrear. In fact I could swear it was something more like $5.99, which I could see myself doing. It’s hard to trust anyone offering subs only these days since automatic renewal make a sure fire way to nickel and dime customers who forget to cancel. In this case there was no automatic renewal, which is great (THX Apple), just I very high priced app that does cool stuff on its own without too much hassle. Maybe I’m wrong and not seeing that right. If so, and the yearly sub isn’t $35 and the weekly is not $5.99, then I’ll fix this review. Apps are no good when they are priced out of creator’s hands imo.

Coffee company commercials with Beatleap. In all honesty without Leapbeat it took me 5-6 hrs to make and edit my commercials. It’s super easy to use, and cut my time on editing by like 99%. I wish it were a little cheaper but honestly would still pay for it even if it was more.

Archiving made Easy. This is one unqiue app that allows you to just have fun and shoot videos. It is PERFECT to just show some highlight of your event, the edit to beat made it super fun to do and you can just focus on shooting the moment instead of trying to plan the shoot. Definitely recommend this app to everyone!!

Doesn’t do the one thing it should. I cant get my clips to sync to the music. Really the only thing I wanted it for was that. I even paid for the pro version because I thought that might help. Nope. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I even tried different songs and it still didn’t work. I can’t find tutorials either because I thought maybe I was missing something and wanted to watch how to do it.

Honest Review. This app is truly the best video editing app that I’ve come across when it comes to the specific type of content that I make. The only problem is that you cannot create lipsync / music videos with it because it will automatically chop your video and move the segments around with no option to turn that off and just keep it linear. If that option existed, I would easily pay $100+ for this app. The filters are amazing, the effects are impecable, the UI is great and really helps to create fantastic content in just a few minutes. This is great for beginners BUT. This app is absolutely awesome for beginners, or people who need to make contact quick… In theory. However, I would love to see a trim tool added in the tweak section as sometimes the app chooses awkward portions of Clips or clips I might want to delete. Unable to change length of time. I have a paid subscription but all of a sudden I’m unable to change the length of the video. It only allows me to select up to 30 seconds but need 60 seconds.

50/50. Download this app from a advertisement I saw on Instagram. I had been looking for an video edit app that allows me to sync music to videos going to the beat of the song. Unfortunately this app has great features but there is no option to upload/use music from Apple Music purchased or not. I assume this was gonna was gonna be a upgraded Flipagram or something. Pretty creative. Hey look, it’s really creative how your video auto aligns with music. It takes out a lot of hard work for the user and automatically syncs it up. Pretty cool use of filters and transitions. What I wish could happen next. The obvious, include your own music. Second, more control of the transitions. Copyright Claims!!!!!!. This app is decent if you want to make a quick video but be prepared to have to email them if you plan on using any of their music to get the copyright claims taken off wherever you post the video you just made. Love it But Wish More Non Vocal Tunes Available. Love this app for my pet sitting business. I use it to send fun video updates to my clients. Wish songs were separated by vocal & non vocal songs. And wish there were way more non vocal songs. Maybe have a fun pet option. ;) Great app otherwise!

Easy to use, great sync capability.. This app is pretty legit even the free version. If the price wasn’t so high I’d definitely be able to support the company and subscribe to pro but the cost is just too high. A 1 time 50 dollar purchase would be doable but $200? No. I’m Aside from that the app is really great.

Really terrible. I used to be able to use this exclusively to edit a montage of videos into a creative clip that synced perfectly to the beat. Now, it’s a terrible selection of 4 of 5 clips even though there are dozens of videos to choose from. It used to work best with more videos now it doesn’t even matter because the AI has no sense for compilation. I’m writing this review because at this point it’s easier just to create the reel in IG than to use this janky app. I’m sad I paid for the year membership as this app is no longer useful to me.

Love the app. We are a track and field team. We use this app all the time to create content for our kids to feel proud about weekly and for their parents to show their friends and family!

Update to past rev on longer than 3min. Ok so just found out I could saved a 5 min video based on the length of the song!!! Idk if this was there all along or new update. Second request to add a logo or two at bottom not affected by the edits. Update review on Wednesday march 16, 2022

It’s super easy to use and so convenient for a stay-busy-person like myself who doesn’t have time to edit videos! Thank you to whoever created this!! Love it! One happy customer!! Works for me. I paid $3/mo and was able to edit my vid in 3 minutes. Man, I wish I had this app a year ago! It would be nice if we could use current music with this app. Like if it offered the same selection of music that Insta and TikTok offer. But other than that, this is perfect for me.

Best Video AI Out There (But There’s an Issue). After last update the conversation process slowed down. It use to be instantly but now is taking 10 for just uploading a 1 minute video. Not a big issue, but sometimes I edit at work. And no it’s not my connection. It does the same thing on other devices and connections.

LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH!!!. Seriously exactly what I’ve been searching for & here it is! I’ve tried other apps to make quick video montages & manually editing it to the beat took FOREVER! But this app does all the thinking for you. I really do love this thing & so happy I found it!!! Yay!!! Thank you thank you!!!

App shut down by its self. The app is great does what I need to do but in the middle of editing it shuts down an I lose all my progress. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled it and still nothing the app is up-to-date but it still does that. so I don’t know if that’s the creators of the app that need to maybe update some more but that’s the only flaw that I see besides that it works great. If they updated some more my rating would go to five stars instead of two

Worth it!. Yo I swear I can’t wait until I get paid so I can buy the year subscription! And no they don’t pay me to post this review 😒 lol but this makes editing my fight and training promo videos super easy. Makes creating consistent content way less time consuming. Worth it!

Love but one suggestion. I love this app it’s super cool and it’s just so good if you’re creating music videos. but one thing I would like is that if we had some songs that we hear a lot on the radio. so for me right now one of the songs is like sunroof or light switch I would like if we could see those on there.

App looks promising but. Has some great and easy to use features and looks cool but when I import a video at the very beginning, it just adds some random effects automatically, like zoom in, skipping to another party of the video and loops etc. though I didn’t ask for it. Like why does add auto effects by default to original video which cannot be removed!! bug or what?
