Amazing game. While I haven’t had this game for very long I’m a huge fan of it, only done about 10 levels so far and still chugging. I’m only concerned that there are 40 levels but who knows how long they’ll take me :). I’m not even a huge sudoku fan and I’m addicted. Again with hopefully more levels in the future it’s a great pickup.

Bad update. Love the content of this app, but I liked it more before the latest update. The look and feel of this new version seems like a step backwards from what it was before. The actual gameplay is great and unchanged from previous, but it’s the menu layout that I find unsatisfactory. Ultimately not a huge deal, but it’s frustrating when it was fine as it was.

Loving it!. I’m absolutely loving the game so far! It works smoothly and is definitely worth its price. The only issue I have is the number pads to type in the entries are a little small but it’s great besides that.

Awful controls. The controls are so bad as to make it almost unplayable. Why not use the same number pad as Cracking the Crypto? If you fix this, i’ll change my rating to five stars.

Great app, but unique solutions not guaranteed.. I have now discovered two different puzzles with multiple solutions. The first one was easy to find the right solution, but the second one is less straightforward.

Absolutely My Favorite App. I love this app so much. I check almost daily for an update. Thermometer Sudoku is definitely my favorite variation and I cannot get enough of it! Update day is always highly anticipated. Every Cracking the Cryptic app is wonderful. I own all 4 and have completed every puzzle published on each to date, but in my heart none of them can compete with Thermo. I find myself frequently going back to already solved puzzles to solve them again. I also really love that the hints don’t just fill in a number but rather explain the logic behind each move so you can learn to solve it. The latest update had the most beautiful puzzles yet. They were truly breathtaking and gorgeous to solve. All my love to Mark, Simon, and the team behind this app. All parties involved are breathtakingly talented.

Haven’t followed through on promise. Still waiting for the last 20 puzzles that were promised. Been at 80 for a while

New puzzles. Love the puzzles, wish it was updated and puzzles were added more regularly.

Too tedious having to do all the easy puzzles before having access to the good ones.. I love thermo sudoku and Cracking the Cryptic. Was looking forward to lots of thermos. But it’s not fun solving a couple of thermometers easily and then just having classic sudoku left to solve/fill in before you can progress to a more complex one. Didn’t even complete the first puzzle—too boring. The others might be good, but I’ll never know because the app won’t let me access them. I wish I could access them! Would love to give 5 stars!

Fantastic App. Incredible app. Full of beautiful puzzles, and you can tell each one is hand crafted to follow a logical path. The hints are well written too, giving you just enough to get back on track, but not spoiling too much and allowing you to feel like you’ve still cracked a tough one! Input method is very well designed as well, and I have very large fingers, so that’s always an issue.

Another Hit!. Congrats on another excellent app. Thermo is becoming one of my favorite variants. Thank you Mark and Simon!

Bug: Timing Error. Great app, but sometimes when exiting and re-entering the app while solving the puzzle, the timer jumps, sometimes hundred of minutes at a time. I didn’t have this error on the Classic or Chess sudoku app.

My favorite Sudoku variation so far. I have loved every app put out by Cracking the Cryptic so far, and this one is my favorite. Having the sandwich clues outside the regular grid adds a new dimension to the usual Sudoku puzzle, and despite my usual distaste for arithmetic, I love it. The fact that options for which number combinations can make which result are available by poking the sandwich clues makes this easier than having a hand-written list in front of me. (Hand writing a list wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker for me, but it’s hard to hold the phone and a paper list while on a commute!) Thanks to Cracking the Cryptic for their fun apps, their informative and delightful YouTube channel, and for brightening our lives with both.

Excellent Puzzles but…. A marvelous collection of puzzles but most are locked which requires completing the easy ones to unlock more puzzles….WHY? I PAID $4.95!!! It’s the least logical part of the app. Remove the locks ASAP.

Love this app but 1 really annoying bug. Love Cracking the Cryptic youtube channel so i had to get 1 of their apps. These puzzles are a lot of fun. My only issue is that there is 1 weird bug that can be quite annoying. Whenever you leave the app and load it back up, there is a wrong number put into box where you left off. Happens almost every time. Normally if this happens without resetting the app, you can just hit the undo button.

Super Fun. 1 puzzle in and it’s very fun an entertaining. Just as good as the other three apps by you guys. Been super entertained by going through Sudoku and Sudoku Variants during quarantine so I am happy for more types to go through more puzzles of a different variant.

Great for boring times. I’ve always been a fan of Cracking the Cryptic ever since I’ve first seen them. This is a great app and the levels are very interesting and make you use your brain in a great way.

App Falls Short on Promises. It’s been well over a year and this app is still 20 puzzles short of the “100 puzzles within first year” promise upon launch. And, yet, the developers are releasing new games with similar promises. PLEASE keep your promises to people who bought your game at launch and release the remaining puzzles for this app.

Too hard. I really enjoy doing sudoku on this software, and I enjoy the Thermo puzzles, up to the point where they get too hard. Puzzle #79 is ridiculously hard. I got as far as could, starting looking at hints and could not get past the fourth hint, i understand what it’s trying to say but it doesn’t fit the puzzle and no progress can be made from this hint unless you just take it on faith you should remove the candidates it says to. I think if people want super hard puzzles they can find them on their own, no need to include such convoluted logic in a mass marketed app. I have had this trouble with other cracking the cryptic apps too, the last few puzzles are just stupid hard and make me wanna shoot myself in the head

Thermo sudoku. This is the fourth app I have now downloaded on my iPad/iPhone and enjoy everyone of them. The sandwich sudoku seems to be the hardest of the lot and the classic one is just that - classic. I have just done a few of the thermo sudoku and again wish the hints would not totally overlay the puzzle itself. I wish it were just in one of the corners with smaller font size. Broken Promise. The app description says it will be enhanced to 100 puzzles within a year of introduction. It has now been over 20 months and we are still waiting.

Fantastic Game. I just recently discovered Thermo sudoku and this app is great for solving simple to complex puzzles. The hints are a great feature as it helps you solve the puzzles without giving you the straight forward answers, they make you think logically on how to solve step by step. Worth every penny spent. Looking forward to updates and new puzzles!

Amazing fun and good for learning. Easy to use app with plenty of puzzles, most are more difficult than easy but all are well constructed with replay value. Took me forever to do some but got there I. The end, will certainly but the others as well!

Excellent puzzles. Much like Cracking the Cryptic’s other sudoku apps, this has a clean interface, and does a good job of steadily increasing complexity in the puzzles, introducing new concepts at a good pace. All of the puzzles in their apps are human-constructed, rather than machine generated, and as such, should be fully logically solvable, with no guessing required (you won’t see any pairs that can’t be disambiguated without arbitrarily throwing a number in, for example). A solid sudoku app for any puzzle fan.

Best Sudoku App on the Market!. Paying the premium for these high quality puzzles was totally worth it. Looks great, plays great, performs great, and the functionality of the puzzles and notation is superb!

Extremely intuitive to use; really professional appearance. I’m really impressed by this app. More difficult puzzles are unlocked by beating easier ones (which I guess could be frustrating if you’re really good, but I’m not! So it’s fine). The app will alert you of illegal placements, so you don’t waste too much time, and you have real variety in how you can mark each square - not only with pencil marks of possible numbers, but with a different style pencil mark for set pairs and triplets but also with x’s for focusing on single digits (and where they can’t be placed) and highlighter colors to identify key squares. Really nice!

Amazing Puzzles. Not your normal sudoku here, this one turns up the heat with thermometer logic. Excellent hand crafted puzzles and an easy to use and aesthetically pleasing interface!

Amazing puzzles. These puzzles are an amazing variation to sudoku! The rule is so simple, yet it adds so much fun complexity to the game. The user interface is pretty good now that I’m getting the hang of it, but I would give this 5 stars based on the puzzles alone. It’s nice to feel excited about solving sudoku again.

Best UX. The UX for this app is just amazing. I'm not sure that there is a better implementation of a sudoku board in any app of website. It's so intuitive and great. The devs should put the same functionality into the Website!
