It stopped tracking my music. The app was working perfectly for like 3 weeks then it just stopped tracking my music, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared data and it still doesn’t work

Trending and browse don’t work. App crashes after clicking on testing and browse other than that it’s okay, would love to see a better UI and maybe like a graph or something I don’t know just more ideas considering this costs money to buy

Loved it till it stopped working…. Hasn’t tracked anything in a few weeks despite me listening to music every day :/

New Update not good. I really love this app. I use it daily to see what I’m listening to and how much I’ve listened to certain songs. But the new update causes the app to crash when I look at the trending tab and search tab. Without those options the app doesn’t do what I enjoyed looking at. I hope this can be fixed. Also, there is no way to contact the developer directly. No working website.

Love the App, but recently it’s been :/. It’s a great app for tracking plays and hours listened to something. However, recently it has been giving me troubles, it’ll give a warning if I had listened to a song a lot of times(a song that i haven’t played) and give it a lot of plays, but it does this repeatedly and does not let me use the app and also skews the data

its really good!. i got this yesterday, i really love it so far. the only problem i have is that it sometimes crashes randomly, other than that, its really good. 😁

Must have app for music lovers. Music is a big important part of my life, and this app is the best app to view nice statistics and ranking for every song, album, and artist in your Apple Music library. No other app comes close to what this app does and all the statistics it gives. There was a change I disliked, but the developer reads reviews and community feedback every few weeks and gave me a nice toggle to customize my app experience, and I love it even more. Absolutely recommended. Old review: … Then out of nowhere the dev decided to change all time formats to minutes only, no seconds or hours, which is a lot less useful and meaningful especially when you listen to a lot of music like me. PLEASE HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE TIME FORMATS BACK TO HOW THEY WERE BEFORE THE UPDATE. This minutes only thing is terrible and imprecise and the app was a lot better before this latest update.

Good app. Just downloaded this app and it looks really great and the other reviews praise this app, but i’m just confused with it. For every time peroid you can select it always says “There is no recorded playback activity for this data range” even though I am listening to music. How do I fix this? Thank you!

Awesome app for music stats. I’ve been beta testing this app for a while now and I’m very impressed. It is very well made and is great for learning more about my music library with stats about play count, time listened, skip count, etc. The interactive charts are awesome too.

amazing app. would love to see albums in the trending tab ! still a 10/10 app

Good in theory, avg in reality. Love the idea and the potential behind this app, but it’s average at best. Regularly misses plays and skews data. Definitely some bugs that need to be worked out here.

Upload Data. I like the app so far but can you make it so I can download my Apple Music data then upload to play tally, so I have my all time and not just from the day I downloaded the app.

Still cannot see accurate data. I paid for this app a while ago to see my usage history and for some reason this app still won’t register any of my music plays or it just gives really inaccurate data on rare occasions :(

Beautiful App. Hands down the best app for tracking your listening history. I have a lot of spotify friends that are jealous of this app when I show them lol. I check the app once a day to see how long I’ve listened (my daily listening record is 9hrs, which I would not have known without this app!). You can look at cool things such as what day you added a song to your library (handy if you’re trying to prove you’re a die hard fan of an artist lol), when the last time you played a song was, top played songs albums etc. There’s even achievements for different listening milestones! Definitely worth the download!

Inflated number of plays of songs on playback. I just want to first start off by thanking you for such an amazing app! I have had PlayTally downloaded since the first of the year and have thoroughly enjoyed checking my music stats daily and have experienced very little to no problems since purchase. However, over the past 72 hours most every time I open the app and refresh to do a playback I’m prompted with a message that says it has detected multiple playbacks of the same song and then asks to keep all or the most recent. Whenever given the choice I click to keep the most recent, but several of the times I’m not given the choice and my song history is then spammed with 20+ “plays” of the same song each with asterisks next to it. It’s very frustrating and has only just started doing this now so I’m very confused. Such a great app but it’s getting frustrating having to go through and delete all the incorrect playbacks

Favorite App. I’ve been wanting an app that tracks your Apple Music plays for a long time. There are a couple apps out there but none are better designed or put together than this one. I beta tested the app and the developer really listened to all the feedback I gave them. Must have for all Apple Music users

Stat Suggestion. Can I suggest implementing a stat the tells the average number of plays a song per artist? For example, I have 26 Eminem songs for a total of 1546 plays. This stat would give an average of about 59.5 plays. This could be said for whatever album you look at.

Inaccurate Play Count. Great app but the data is inaccurate most of the time. The first time an album is played, the songs aren’t counted. When a song is on repeat, sometimes the app doesn’t count all of the plays. I’ve also run into the app not counting songs in my playlist. I’m not quite sure how to get around these bugs and/or inaccuracies.

Excellent app all around!. Love the clean UI. Everything works as expected except for the donate option in the settings which don’t seem to work for me on either of the three options.

Best Tool out for tracking plays. I’ve always been looking for something that could track my music stats and this hit that need perfectly. Spotify has its thing and Apple has replay but those are end of year and this app can do all they can and way more. It’s more in depth and more accurate, It has its glitches here and there but overall this is a great app.

Won’t work with home pod. I love this app! It works so nice yet whenever I use my Apple Music account with my new home pod it won’t track anything :( and I’m bummed cus I don’t want my stats to be off. So if you could fix that then it would be a 5/5!!!

Does not work well with large libraries. I have 75000 songs and a lot of music based apps don’t work well with my library, this one is no different. It doesn’t update the data after the first time.

Continuously asked for media access. I am continuously being asked (every 3 seconds or so) to provide access to my music library. I can’t use the app at all Edit: had to grant access through the settings app, never had that issue before. App works great now

Good not great.. I got this because I didn’t trust Apple’s Replay site to track my plays. This is better than Replay but it’s still flawed and doesn’t record all my plays; especially if you listen to the same songs several times over a short period of time. There will be songs I listen to 15-20 times and it will only show 4 listens or something like that. Occasionally I’ll get a pop up that says there’s a large number of plays that could be an accident and do I want to count them all or the most recent. I always select to count them all and the numbers are still not even close.

Good app, but. I was originally complaining about inaccurate counts, but the developer responded and told me what to do to fix it! I have zero complaints now and I love this app. 😛😛

Play count by release year?. Nice app, albeit minimal and limited in what it gives you. Is it possible to tally the number of songs played by release year so to see which music years I play the most?

Love the app but some bugs. I really like having the data for my library but there is a little bug. I have noticed that if you pause your library that song has plays with an asterisk next to it and adds to your totals and can skew the data. It also happens with a random song while I was playing other music

Tracks stats kinda….. This app has a mind of its own and selectively updates. Sometimes it correctly gets my music plays from other devices (yes all have sync library on) other times collects no data besides music plays on the install device… worked for about 2 weeks and stopped all together.

Doesn’t work. I load it up, gave permissions, and changed the dates and there is absolutely zero data. I can go into browse and select a song and it shows data there, so it’s getting it from AM. It just refuses to display any history/trending stats.

Constantly getting unrecorded plays. Not really worth it when you pay for the app and it always says that a bunch of plays have not been recorded for whatever reason. The whole reason I got it was so it could count all my plays. It says keep all or keep most recent but doesn’t say what that even means

Great app overall. Great app, wish it tracked album plays in the trending section though. That way you could view your most played albums for the week or month.

slow syncing. love playtally but syncing is so slow :(

If you love stats. What’s better than statistics about how you listen to music? Shiny award badges for playing your favorite tunes, that’s what. A great app by a thoughtful developer. That’s a win-win in my book.

Awards don’t work on iPod touch. They stay grayed out

It’s good but I wish....... Great app but the one thing I cannot seem to figure out. I wish it would tally everything from all devices using my Apple Music account. It says it can but it doesn’t. It only takes stats from local device.

It only counts the play if you listen to the entire song. If you skip a song 10 seconds before it ends, it won’t count the play.

Must-have app for any Music Fanatic. So, let me just say, I LOVE this app. It has so many neat features that show you data based on your music library. It shows you how many hours you have been listening to certain genres, albums, artists and much more, all in a very easy to understand out. There is one really small issue I have with the app though. It puts in very accurate play times for all of my songs, except it overplays the song ‘Amoeba’ by Clairo. It puts in fake plays, saying I have listened to it MUCH more than I really did, but it isn’t that big of an issue for me. Still a must have app with very interesting stats.

Very inaccurate. I just recently downloaded this app and it was extremely inaccurate to what songs I listen to the most I’m very disappointed as the main reason I got this was too see how much I played a certain song. If they fixed this issue I would very much recommend it but for now I don’t recommend you get this app.

PLEASEEE BRING BACK THE RANKING DISPLAY OPTION 🙏🙏. edit: do you remember on the trending tab there was a button on the right below the calendar that said ‘rank’? it was to the right of the artist, albums, or genres button. and there was an option to make the songs trend by like a mix of play count, time listened, skip count, etc. i just thought it was really cool and unique to rank the songs more diversely but i think it went away in a recent update. i don’t know if you could bring this back or not but it would be really cool if you could i really enjoyed that feature 😭 sorry. other than that this app is amazing i love it!! if you do get around to doing this, thank you so much !!!

Love it. I love how it's so accurate and also easy to delete all your plays if you want ( I fell asleep with my phone on with no sleep timer and it got too innacurate). Imo preferrable to the other popular website for listen tracking. The challenges are a cute touch too.

Please fix bug!. For the past month it won’t record my plays :( normally i love this app and use it a lot. sometimes it doesn’t register the plays if you have a song on repeat but still works better than many other apps. but now it doesn’t work at all, please fix it soon because i enjoy this app. i will update my review once fixed!

Works perfectly, only have one problem. PlayTally has been a great app to view my music stats and I’ve loved it every since I got it. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it will count a song twice (says that it’s been played in the same minute) and it will do this for every stream that happened in a day. Sometimes it doesn’t happen but most of the time it does and I have to manually remove streams to make it more accurate. Would be great if you made it so it would auto-remove a double stream for a song that says it been played two times in the same minute. Besides that, I’ve have had an amazing experience and will continue to use it. Hope this gets fixed

Amazing app. Tracks music stats amazingly and has a super fun UI! Along with rewards this is one of the best music stats apps around

Clear Overview of What I’ve Been Listening To. I’ve always had an interest in how my musical tastes vary with time, in a way that’s more comprehensive than “Play Count” and “Last Played.” This app is great for keeping track of not only what I listen to, but when, letting me see what my current favorites are, as well as what they were at any point in the past since I began using the app. As time goes on, those records will become only more comprehensive and useful. The only thing that’s missing is the ability to generate a report that I can share with others. I feel left out when I see a bunch of people sharing their Spotify Wrapped images on social media every year.

Doesn’t go back far enough. This app looked promising but “lifetime” search for songs only shows 26, yet I’ve listened to thousands. Custom filter doesn’t allow me to go past today. Unable to see how to contact support either.

Doesn’t work as advertised. The app doesn’t look at your Lifetime play history. Doesn’t summarise anything. I wanted stats on most played artist, song, album in my lifetime since using iTunes/music and this app fails to do that. Wasted my money on this. Don’t buy.

Not accurate. The app is not displaying all of the songs I have listened to. Songs played on my Alexa dot aren’t included in the stats either despite turning on device syncing. I like the interface and the features are good (trending, awards) but I can’t recommend this app because the stats simply aren’t accurate.

Great app that tracks interesting statistics. I got PlayTally instead and I love it! Wish I had grabbed it on preorder but the little price to pay was no issue to support a small developer. I really liked Apple Music replay when a friend showed it to me this spring but wished it tracked more stats. My craving for data is now satisfied! I really love the look of this app and all the ways it breaks things down. And I know it’s only going to get better once it has some time to track things it couldn’t import from Apple Music. It integrated and blends in so easily it feels like it could have been made by Apple themselves.

Pretty okay. Still some kinks to work out. I listened to over 5 hours of music today and it only tracked 14minutes which was pretty frustrating and sad. Despite using the force scan I could not pull up any of the info. I would suggest if someone uses this to also have a backup to track the data. Donated towards future development which will hopefully cause changes in the app!

Great app but.... I keep on playing songs but they won't add any streams to the tally app, I have to play the song from the tally app in order for it to be counted.

Starts good, gets better!. This app is great! Out of all the apps I’ve found that have Apple Music tracking, this one is the most fleshed out and the most accurate. The main reason why is the trending feature. I love how the app can generate a playlist of the top songs I’m listening to from whatever timeframe. I’d like to ask one question to the developer, is there a way the app could update the trending playlist, instead of me having to delete my current one and generate a new one every once and a while? Another, probably easier question, could you create an option to have a custom amount of songs in the trending list instead of 100? Like 50? 20? 35? Thanks so much for creating this app! I recommend it :)

Makes it so easy to access exactly what I want to listen to.. Yep, I developed this app. But I always know I’m on to something when I end up using an app in a cool unexpected way I didn’t expect to when I making it. Fantastic app!!. I've always wanted to see my Apple Music stats (and didn't want to switch to Spotify just to get a Wrapped) and this app is awesome! It's super interesting to see specific play counts/play time per song, artist, album, genre, playlist, etc. I love the awards, too! It would be super cool to see more awards in the future, they're so fun! :)

Music native listening stats (think Last.fm) plus time machine. I've long been a user of Last.fm to keep track of what I'm listening to and seeing interesting patterns. Music has made it extraordinarily difficult to update Last.fm, and I've missed that insight. PlayTally is the first app that reliably does a great job of tracking what I play on Music, provides insight on not only what I'm listening to now, but also having a "time machine" that lets me do a real Throwback Thursday and enjoy what I was listening to in the past. It's like the best of Spotify's time capsule and year in review or Music's new Replay year Playlists, but for whatever time period I want. Plus, I can then browse the historical data and see how many times I listened to various genres, artists and albums.
