Fun way to brush your teeth correctly. My dentist told me that I would no longer eat gummy candy, and I will have to drink juice once a day. So several days later I noticed Pokémon Smile, an app which allows you to brush teeth with Pokémon. So I downloaded it and it was so fun and I love how you need to brush teeth properly to catch Pokémon. It’s cute how you can earn Pokémon Caps and stickers. They would take photos of my good brushing and I would put a sticker on it. But I have one issue. This game should have more generations, like Johto, Sinnoh, Kalos, Galar, Hoenn, Unova, and Alola. Why did you only put Kanto generation into Pokémon Smile? Overall this is a fun game and I hope they add more generations! Make more healthy apps and put more Pokémon hats into the app!

This app has potential, if there were some modifications.. I have been a Pokémon fan for several years now, but after trying this app, its pretty lousy in my speculation. It has a dense time recognizing if you have a toothbrush or not, and it keeps telling you to brush your teeth hastily. my gums started bleeding once because it kept telling me to brush nimbly. I had to fake brush my teeth sometimes in order to catch the Pokémon and to eliminate the purple goop. And the app needs to show you to brush in circular gestures. it’s not good to brush from side to side, but rather up and down. Clearly it does not show that you need to brush in circular gestures and up and down. As a person said in a review, brushing from side to side will build tarter on your gum lines, and will ruin the enamel on your teeth. There should also be an option so you can catch a Pokémon every time. There are probably kids out there having a meltdown because they unsuccessfully captured a Pokémon that they were supposed to get as an award for brushing their choppers. Though the stickers you get are a fun addition, and the fact you have a little sidekick Pokémon is cute as well! I also like the neat hats that you can wear while brushing your teeth, but overall it can use some modifications. I wouldn’t recommend this app, as it harms your gums and has poor camera recognition. There are better brushing apps out there that your child can adore!

Greatly encourages healthy teeth brushing habits. I’m not a parent writing this review but am actually a teenager and I actually love this app because it makes the struggles of brushing your teeth into a very fun game that lasts upwards of 2 minutes. When I saw it on the direct I thought it would be funny to play it for laughs for a week but instead I actually started to like brushing teeth with Pokémon smile, I recommend not using a huge tooth brush while playing this game because it may get in the way of the AR mechanics, also make sure to use a boat load of tooth paste because it’s a mess if you do that. My teeth has begun to start becoming healthier by days and all because of this app which makes me want the 4 hour cool down to go away so I can start brushing the smile that I love now

Just a few recommendations. In my opinion, it’s a pretty good game. It makes brushing way more fun and even though it’s for kids a little bit younger than me, it’s still fun. But it’s not really a ‘good’ game, so I have 2 and only 2 things that might make the game better. 1. Have a break between brushing. Whenever I use it, it tells me to keep brushing until the timer goes off. This makes my mouth drip with toothpaste stuff in my mouth. So maybe just put some breaks here and there. 2. (It’s okay if you don’t add this) Maybe have like an online match where you battle with other people’s Pokémon. So picture this, you get chosen for a match. You pick your Pokémon and get ready. When it says go, you start brushing, the better you brush, the more damage you bring. The match ends when a Pokémon faints. I don’t know what should you get as a prize for beating it (maybe a hat or something) but it’s a pretty good idea. If you put this in the app, I’ll be very happy and glad that you got this message.

The Motivation I Needed. Love this app. I may be an adult, but sometimes I need to be reminded to brush my teeth, too. I’m still in quarantine, and sometimes it’s hard to find motivation to get out of bed and brush my teeth when I’m not going anywhere. This app has so far given me that motivation. It’s cute and it’s fun. It doesn’t pick up my electric toothbrush very well, though. Keeps saying to brush faster and that it can’t see it, so that’s why I give it a four star rating. Also, why doesn’t it have you brush your tongue? That might be something to add, and maybe a reminder to floss. Flossing is what I always had trouble with getting myself to do as a child. Overall, very cute, and it’s good motivation to brush your teeth!

Y E S. Pokemon smile is the single greatest game on the market right now, I can literally have my squirtle on my head while I brush my teeth I still question why I got this as I am 14 but that doesn’t matter. This game actually makes me want to brush my teeth and I don’t know why, you guys should add more pokemon tho like all the starters and then maybe even some legendaries if you are super good at brushing your teeth or something. Also to the people that say your gums bled that means that you don’t brush your teeth enough it’s not the games fault. People do say that it doesn’t detect electric brushes and mine does however I do not know if the Pokémon are “impossible“ to catch because I only caught one so far, but there are not many in the game yet so they probably have to make catching something exciting by making it rare. Idk I really like this game tho

If you struggle brushing your teeth, this is the app!. I saw someone on twitter say to get this app if you have anything like depression, ADHD, or autism that makes consistently brushing your teeth a challenge. I haven’t been diagnosed with anything but I do often struggle with getting myself to brush my teeth every night, let alone in the morning. Pokemon Smile didn’t make me suddenly brush my teeth everyday but I’ve seen improvement with how often I do and sometimes the idea of catching a pokemon in this cute art style gets me to do it. Pair Pokemon Smile with something like the Habit Tracker app that can encourage you to brush your teeth and other tasks you may need to do every day, and brushing your teeth becomes so much less of a hassle. Recently I’ve gotten much better at brushing my teeth, in part because of the motivation that Pokemon Smile provides and in part improving my motivation otherwise.

Pretty cute!!. This game has a really cute concept and I love the style and the sound design! However, I believe that the tracking should be improved a little to make catching Pokémon and killing bacteria more effective. My li'l Charizard only shoots fireballs when I brush at a certain speed and to do so I have to apply a lot of pressure onto my toothbrush, which not only damages the bristles a lot faster, but I'm actually starting to damage my gums because of how intensely I'm brushing my teeth. That's mostly on me, but for future I think that it would be a little better to buff out the kinks of the tracking and Pokémon attacks to make the brushing experience more enjoyable. I think it would also be cool if there was a feature to change Pokémon to use to fight bacteria, and if there was an option in decorating to have blank borders to see the hats a little better in the pictures.

Adorable concept!. This is such a cute idea to make brushing your teeth fun! I think the diagram of the teeth and where you should be brushing should be updated, though. That 2D diagram looks kind of confusing—if it was a 3D model of teeth, it would definitely help kids understand which side of the teeth would need brushing at which moment during the game. Also, I think it would help if there was some voice acting in it, something that would say “brush your teeth faster!” or “don’t forget to floss!” and phrases like that since if a kid is going to use this app, most likely they aren’t going to be able to quickly read prompts on the screen. I think some voice over would make the game more engaging and fun! This app is a really adorable idea, so I hope they plan for some updates! :)

Beautiful app. As someone who works in the UX/UI field, it is so refreshing to see an app that sees a purpose and function for every aspect of what it does FOR MY KIDS! They could have easily gone the “cheap and easy” route but they really looked at every little detail and gave it purpose. (Ex simply tapping on your Pokémon will have it animate a cute little jump - not only that but if you tap it enough times, you’re rewarded with a new hat!) My kids (4 & 7) are constantly feeling rewarded and validated for doing a good job (or encouraged to try better next time if they don’t catch the Pokémon at the end). They really understand kids and how much incentive-based rewards are valuable: There are badge rewards, sticker rewards, hat rewards, decorating your photo fun, all with a sleek and intuitive design! And the Pokémon are SO cute in a chibi kind of way. I could go on and on about the positives but one thing we were thinking would be nice is seeing the date when you caught a Pokémon somewhere. It’s nice to look back on when you accomplished something. I highly recommend this app - it may make brushing your teeth take a tiny bit longer but if it’s to enjoy the rewards of your accomplishments, I don’t mind the extra time to decorate your pic :)

Very fun!. Unlike what this I targeted to, I am almost 18 and here I am playing this. I’m an over brusher and tend to run my gums down by constantly brushing, this game has helped me not do that and I swear my teeth have never been whiter. My only problem is that if you back away from the camera it won’t register your brushing and your partner Pokémon walks around while you try to figure out where the right spot you should be at is. I’ve had a few close catches because the game wasn’t registering my brushing and made me frantically speed up. Overall though, it’s very fun and I would love to see more generations added in the future possibly!

As an adult I enjoy it. I know this was made for young kids, but as someone who grew up loving Pokémon I thought I’d try it out. I love it! I would always spend too much time brushing some parts of my teeth and not enough on others and I always found brushing extremely tedious. If I was tired after a long day I would even skip brushing my teeth. Simply put, I was never great at brushing. But this app really helps! I’m not bored doing it, all my teeth are evenly brushed, and I even get rewarded for it lol. I’ve caught every Pokémon I’ve seen so far! Plus, it’s super cute! I actually look forward to brushing my teeth now! So I say give it a go and don’t be super harsh on it; it’s a free app game for brushing teeth after all. 😁💖

The best way to brush your teeth!. I’m way too old to be the target demographic, but with my ADHD and generally being a forgetful ditz, I forget to brush my teeth for weeks. But with using this app I’ve managed to brush my teeth EVERY SINGLE DAY which is so big for me. I’ve been a pokémon fan since I could breathe air and this game is absolutely perfect for me. The cute animations keep my focus long enough to brush, and I actually get EXCITED to brush my teeth to see my cute lil’ Flora (she’s my bulbasaur and I love her) and being able to save pokémon from the evil germs and catch them!! I would absolutely recommend for anyone. It doesn’t just have to be for kids but for all my neurodivergent friends who love pokémon!! Thank you Pokémon for helping me brush my teeth 🥺💗

If you use an electric toothbrush, this might not be for you. Pros: very cute game. It's utterly charming and very child friendly. I can see kids falling in love with taking pictures with Pokemon on their heads. The diagram of teeth showing which teeth to brush on which side will definitely help avoid missing any spots. Cons: Unfortunately, the game does not like electric toothbrushes at all. It would either "not see" my brush, or it would say that I wasn't brushing fast enough. It absolutely doesn't account for the fact that an electric toothbrush does the brushing for you and you won't move your hand as much. A minor quibble is that the diagram showing where to brush also doesn't sync up with my brushes' four quadrant timer, so I was often brushing the wrong area. Conclusion: this is really going to help teach young children how to brush their teeth, and maybe it will help the stubborn ones have a little more fun. However, it only works on manual brushes.

It’s worth it (3 kiddos 6 and under). For the reviews saying kids should receive a Pokémon no matter what, I would kindly disagree. Yes, my three year old did cry when she didn’t brush her teeth as guided YET she learned that the reward came when she did it right and now she has become a brushing champion. There is a gift in teaching children that reward comes from hard work and consistently and I appreciate this app for it. I have a son with sensory processing disorder that wouldn’t brush his teeth and now brushes without any assistance. All my kiddos get a two thumbs up from the dentist for maintaining good brush habits. Highly recommend!

I’m no child. POKÉMON SMILE!!!. Let me preface this by saying I don’t like brushing my teeth in the morning. I don’t usually eat breakfast (or wake up before afternoon) so it seemed pointless to brush when I first wake up. My partner and I are 26 and 21 respectively. They hate my lack of morning dental care. When we watched the Nintendo direct that announced this app, they jokingly said I should get it. I agreed, and we both downloaded it. It’s an ABSOLUTE JOY to play this. I’d brush my teeth every five hours but apparently you can’t grind through this game to catch ‘em all. The Pokémon are ADORABLE. The animations are SUPER CUTE. Challenging my partner to brush with me even over long distance is such a nice shared experience. I LOVE THIS GAME. It doesn’t matter how old you or your child is. This game is great.

Constantly upsetting my 6 year old. My son is a huge Pokémon fan and I thought that this app would be perfect for him to fuse his love of Pokémon with the task of ensuring his teeth get brushed thoroughly 2-3x a day. The first use of the app was AMAZING!!! It was such positive reinforcement for my son to brush, get a Master ball, and catch his first Pokémon. Since, this app, while continuously telling him he is doing a nice job, says it can’t see his face (he is staying still), can’t see his toothbrush (he got a new one with color just for this app!), and has maybe allowed him to catch one more Pokémon since we began using the app (we downloaded it almost a week ago now). He has cried almost every time because he just does not understand why the app does not allow him to catch or try a second time. As a mother, I love the idea of this app and want it to work for him; however, I feel we have given it a good try and it is just not proving itself to be a worthwhile app. We are so disappointed.

A good start. UPDATE: Circular motions are key! I have never been great at using circular motions on my teeth. The game registers those movements much better than up and down brushing or side to side, at least for us. Since switching the kiddos have caught at least one pokemon a day! I want to rate this app higher but I just can’t. I use the app while brushing my four year olds teeth. 2 weeks, twice a day and she hasn’t caught anything. While she’s excited to brush her teeth she’s inconsolable after. Not fun for either of us. Her 7 year old sister gets a pokemon almost every time. Now I would chalk this up to the fact it’s me brushing 4yo’s teeth while watching the image in the phone. But I use the app too. I can’t catch anything either. I need more feedback on why the brushing isn’t working. Or if it just can’t see the toothbrush, it says that sometimes, is there a recommended color or something? Oddly enough regardless of the time setting the top teeth usually go smoothly. Then when we switch to the bottom teeth the game doesn’t seem to be able to follow along. Idk. My kids love it but I’m at the end of my patience.

I want to leave a good review, but.... My four-year-old son loves this game when it works right, but since Day 1, we’ve had problems. 1. It tells him to brush his teeth faster despite us brushing super fast, 2. It constantly loses track of the toothbrush, 3. It often loses track of him and forces us to stop until it finds him again, and 4. There is no suggestions as to how to do better when you don’t clean a Pokémon. The fact that my son is proud when he catches a Pokémon and enjoys it when it works is the only reason I’m giving it a two-star and not a one-star review because I hate it, and I love everything related to Pokémon. I literally get angry while brushing my son’s teeth because of this app. Hopefully you will do some updates to address these issues in the not-so-distant future.

For kids and kids at heart alike. I’m 27 and due to life and the exhaustion that low level depression brings forth I often forget teeth brushing (used to have stomach issues so I’m care I needed to sip some soda so for nearly a year around age 18 I only brushed when my teeth were really gross and slipped out of the habit). Found this app because of a child in my life, she loves it and one day I decided to try. It keeps me motivated, I don’t always remember even with reminders set, or sometimes I’ll forget my phone when I go to brush but it’s there when I need it. For those with Pokémon catching issues: I use an electronic brush so I do often get the brush faster notifications, I had trouble catching my first one at the default time but you can go into settings and bump up the time from 2 mins to 3 mins and it adds the up and down brushing and I’ve never had a missed catch

Cute app that rewards habitual teeth brushing. 4 stars because I do like the app, but I would appreciate if there was offline capability as well as new pokemon to be added eventually. It is sad to hear that there are no plans for future updates to add pokemon because I think it would be really nice to be able to catch more than just the original 151. As many others have experienced, the first couple days I used this app I also experienced raw, bloody gums but after I have used the app more regularly that has no longer been the case for me. I think there is the level of excitement to suddenly following this app that can lead to that but also just in general it is possible that prior to following the app theirs and my own oral hygiene had not been the best and so suddenly properly getting all the parts of the mouth can lead to bloody gums so Ive also heard. In short, I don’t think you should give this app up simply because of bloody gums the first couple times you follow along with the app, give it some time. If you then continue bleeding well after the first few times, then maybe this might not be the best for you.

Great Game, Lots Of Bugs To Fix. Let me start by saying that I as an adult absolutely love this game and think that it is an incredible tool for kids to learn too. The biggest issue which hopefully will be fixed is how bad the app is at keeping track of a toothbrush. Sometimes it will say “we can’t see your tooth brush” when it truly couldn’t be any more visible if I tried & from what I assume is the same bug it will quite often say you aren’t brushing fast enough when honestly I don’t think it’d be possible to brush any faster than I’m doing without superhuman abilities. If they can fix this issue then I will happily correct to a 5 star as the game and concept are fantastic!

Easy for kids, hard for adults. Easy and friendly app. It has a timer (default is 2 min) that you can change between 1 min, 2 min, and 3 min. It also provides a guide of which area to brush and switches between each of the 18 sections total; 9 top teeth and 9 bottom teeth. Pro: This is definitely for kids and seems to be easier for them to catch Pokémon which encourages them to be excited for next time. My son definitely enjoys it and looks forward to brushing and to see what Pokémon he’ll encounter next. He even gets excited when it’s my turn and encourages me on how I’m doing. Con: This is only for adults. I downloaded and tested it out just to see how well it would be in case it would have possibly been not as exiting for my son. The first few days of trying, I never brushed enough to catch a Pokémon. It was still covered in darkness. I had a white brush (since it recommends against clear) in the beginning. I eventually let my son try it and he caught a Pokémon the first time. He has a bright color one and I tried again with an extra colored brush he had and I seemed to do better. Each night we brushed, he cleared the darkness easily and only a few times I was able with the rest with partial darkness. I set our birthdays so not sure if that plays an effect or cause it uses the camera, it can tell your age but as an adult, if you’re excited for this, too, you have more work cut out for you.

Cute!. Hi, hope you’re having a good day. I like it as a teen, mainly because I’ve had trouble with my teeth (similar to this other dude here, I’m on the spectrum) and it’s hard for me to motivate myself to do things like this. You get a reminder too! My sisters kind of think it’s boring a bit (5 and 6) but that’s probably because we didn’t tell them you can catch Pokémon. The hats are so cute! The photos catch me off guard because it looks so funny. Like my sisters think, it may be kind of boring so I would try to implement daily awards in. Not sure how you could do that, maybe like adding puzzle pieces to a finished picture (a funny or cute scene with the sprites) but that may be too slow to keep attention for kids. Maybe something like Pokémon Amie, being able to feed Pokémon and stuff. Looking forward to updates.

It’s really fun!!!. So, first I’d like to say this app is fun, useful, and I love the art too. I’m almost 11, and I don’t have any issues but I still use it because my younger brother is only 7 and plus it shouldn’t matter how old you are at least if you’re having fun. I even completed the Pokédex! there is two small problems though. I don’t know why it takes up so much battery, I guess it’s because it’s using your webcam? Or maybe it’s just my phone. And the other is that I think it should have other Pokémon besides the kanto region ones. Anyway, I'm still giving this a 5 star review and I recommend it to anyone and everyone that wants to have fun brushing their teeth :D btw I’m a REAL fan of Pokémon I've memorized the national Pokédex

Yes. Get this app. It’s great. It’s fantastic. If you love Pokémon I definitely recommend. If you hate standing there for two minutes brushing your teeth being bored out of your mind, get the game to actually do something while brushing your teeth while ALSO cleaning your teeth! It’s AWESOME! There are some moments where it tells me to brush faster even though I’m literally going faster than the camera can probably capture, but it’s still a great game! Although I do recommend setting your birthday to about 3-4 years old if you don’t want this game to be super difficult. If you make it your actual age and you’re about 16 years old like me, then you have the brush really, REALLY good in order to make the Pokémon clean enough to not run away from you. AMAZING GAME THOUGH!!!

Game is great, need to be able to get more Pokémon. The kids play this game devotedly every day and love it. Their generation seems much less interested in games in general esp. Nintendo games but this got them SUPER into Pokémon. The self care apps are great for my Gen Alpha kids, they play them everyday and now they love Pokémon. I just wish the game had the option to unlock all the Pokémon, because they’re going to run out of Pokémon to unlock before they year is over and this game brings them so much joy it'd be nice if it had all the Pokémon for them to have more to enjoy for the years to come.

Cute game, passable play, little future. This is the cutest art I’ve ever seen, which is the only thing keeping it on my phone. It’s really only useful on the 3 minute setting, which is fine because it ensures I get a good thorough brushing. However, I perfectly clean a Pokémon maybe half of the time. To be fair, I have a black toothbrush. Odd though, that on a night with my power out and candle lit lighting, I was able to get a perfect clean, but with nice lighting the app struggles to see that I’m brushing fast enough or fails to see my toothbrush altogether. As an adult it’s quite frustrating, but it’s about time for a new toothbrush so perhaps another color will work better. I love the concept of this app, and the stickers and hats are an excellent add on. However, with no plans to add future Pokémon or additional stickers or hats, the game may last me a few months if I remember to play every day, but there’s nothing past that. That isn’t surprising because it’s a completely free game, but I hope there’s enough people that request more that additional content will be added. Despite the technical errors, I really love this app. It makes brushing fun and exciting. :)

Great for executive dysfunction. Sometimes my brain just goes like “no brush teeth haha keep playing League of legends idiot.” And I just have to listen. It feel like it really is out of my control, and it kind of is. But when I downloaded this it changed. This game gives me instant dopamine after i finish brushing my teeth, and I don’t think I have missed a day since I got the app. It’s kind of like in genshin where if you don’t do your commissions for a day your brain is mad at you for missing all those primo gems, you gotta go brush your teeth so you can get your dang Pokémon!!! Also I love the art style (^°^)

Great way to get kids to brush their teeth!. So, after seeing this in this in Pokémon Presents, it was obvious some people thought it was a joke, and I did too for minute before seeing it on the App Store. I decided to try it out, even thought it’s aimed for kids that are, like, ten years younger than I am xD After grabbing my toothbrush and using the app for a bit, I quite enjoyed it. The graphics were cute (I do wish it was closer to the original art but I can’t really complain cause it’s pretty cute) and the menus were easy to navigate. I like the objective of catching Pokémon and unlocking stickers and caps once yinish brushing, although I do wish the brushing guide was more clear. It’s a bit hard to understand where it wants you to brush sometimes, like when it asks you to brush the inside of your teeth. I saw someone else say this, but it would be nice if it was a 3D model, although I think the current 2D is manageable. It would be nice if you could choose what type of toothbrush you have (manual or electric) since I did notice that it would say that I’m going too slow while I used my electric toothbrush. Other than that, this game is great and I’m still wondering how the developers managed to make this enjoyable even for older people than it was targeted for l me! I can see how this can help younger kids with their brushing habits and I think this is a great app. although i am still a bit confused on why we’re using master balls on weedles and rattatas-

Pokémon Smile deserves more love!!. This app is a GODSEND! I’m an 18 year old with various sensory issues, and long lasting depressive episodes have meant that dental care hasn’t always been a priority in my life. Pokémon smile has made me the most consistent tooth-brushed I’ve been in years! As much as this game is for kids, I’ve also seen a great appreciation from the neurodivergent community! Pokémon is something I think a lot of us latch onto, and when self care is hard, Pokémon smile makes it fun! I think this game is super under appreciated and undervalued. That being said, I’m saddened to hear there aren’t any planned major updates! I’d love to see more of my favorite Pokémon (especially torterra) and I wish the camera section had the option to take and edit photos when I’m not brushing. The hats and stickers are so cute, but I wanna feel cute in the picture too! I know the game got a lot of backlash because of fans who were upset they weren’t getting Diamond/Pearl remakes or whatever, but honestly, this game makes a lot of people really happy, and helps so many people improve their self care. I can’t wait to hopefully see more from this app and maybe one day, Pokémon sleep!

Thank you Pokémon for Saving My Marriage. I am 32 years old and I didn’t used to brush my teeth. My breath smelled awful and my wife was threatening to divorce me if I wasn’t able to get control of my dental hygiene. I just didn’t care about having a clean mouth until a friend’s child told me about Pokémon Smile. “You catch new Pokémon when you brush your teeth,” she said. This seemed too good to be true but I tried it out and she was right! Thank you Pokémon Company! Because of you, I now brush my teeth twice a day and I’m a changed man. I even have a Pokémon toothbrush to go with it. My marriage is better than ever and my friends don’t complain about my breath anymore! I even caught a scyther which is my favorite Pokémon

Fantastic app for anyone!!!. I have been using Pokémon Smile for just over a month and I am genuinely surprised at how much I enjoy it! I suppose I should clarify that I am a teenage girl and thus not the intended audience, but I really do think this app is for everyone. It’s cute, fun, and extremely well made. It’s simplistic but not infantilizing and I have yet to run into any bugs. I mainly tried this out so I would know if it was good to recommend to others. I have many neurodivergent friends and friends who have struggled with mental illness, and I have also managed depression for several years myself. I really wish I had this app when I was recovering, because brushing can be hard for anyone, no matter how old you are! Even though I was already in the habit of brushing every day, since downloading I feel like I’ve started doing a better job and I genuinely have fun doing it. I don’t normally write reviews but this is such a genuinely helpful app for ANYONE who wants a little help brushing or just wants to collect cute pokémon, no matter how old you are :)

Amazing app!!. I'm going to preface this review by saying I'm 21, have severe ADHD, and I enjoy hoarding pokemon in games. Onto the review!! So I don't normally leave reviews on apps, but I have to for this one. I got it on a fluke thinking it'd be boring and not hold my attention, but it did. I set it for a minute at first to ease back into brushing my teeth, but now I wanna brush for hours just to catch 'em all 😂😂 On a serious note, I'm glad they don't have the typically "Male or female" option most kid games do and have the option of "Not Listed", as well as giving an option to not answer at all. I'm nonbinary and was pleasantly surprised! It didn't have any trouble picking up my movements at all, but my tooth brush is also white and neon green, so that might have a hand in it. I do wish there was an option to rename the pokemon you catch though, because I accidentally clicked off the tab without naming my Pidgey and I wanna name it Pidge, but that's my only complaint. TL;DR: Amazing app, 10/10 recommend for children or people who struggle with self care.

Great for smiles bad for gums (at first). Great concept and really helpful but aggravating at times. it will help you get a whiter smiler and a healthy brushing habits but occasionally it will say camera lost or brush faster or it won't register your brush. (ALSO TURN PICTURES OFF ITS CREEPY TO LOOK AT PICTURES OF YOURSELF BRUSHING.) now it's a good game I play it often when brushing but my first time I was so motivated to brush to catch that first Pokemon I brushed to hard and my gums bleed and sides of my mouth hurt I keep playing and it got better but it needs to slow down at times like I'm not the flash I will tear my gums if I go that fast. But if it were to be fixed it would be a great game I recommend the 3 minute brush time for better chance of catching Pokemon - a simple brusher

I like it. I know that I am most definitely outside the targeted demographic for this game, but I got it anyway because it looked cute. If I’m gonna brush my teeth twice a day anyway, might as well catch some cute pokemon while I do it. The only real complaint I have about it is how fast it wants you to brush. I just can’t seem to go fast enough to completely rid the pokemon of bacteria by the end of a three-minute session. Other than that, I really like it. The pokemon in the pokedex are cute, the hats are cute, and the stickers are super cute. As silly as it sounds, it does actually make me look forward to brushing more. And if it worked on me, it’ll probably work on kids too.

Really good. So i don’t need this to brush my teeth i learned that when i was three, but since my sister is at a good age demographic for it i decided to download it. I watched her play it for a day and then made an account for me, and oh jeez i love this game. It’s not like you need it to brush ur teeth, but oh god its just so satisfying when you get rewarded for something you were supposed to do anyway. And surprisingly it runs really smoothly, i almost had no problem with the camera and the pictures actually come out good. But now it’s time for the thing i wrote the review for, the art style. Oh my god i want this in an actual pokemon game. This style makes the pokemon look as dirpy as can be but it works soooooo well. Literally the only criticism i have for this game is... 1 to make there a 100% catch rate because it is marketed towards little kids and they may feel sad if they don't catch something, 2 make it so pokemon can evolve and have shinies just cause that would be sooooo cool, and 3 they should make it to where other pokemon from ur Pokédex can fight the bacteria too because i just want my dirpy arbok to take down some bacteria while i brush my gums out trying to get a mewtwo. Other than that this is a great game for all ages and i fully recommend.

Fun but hard to catch Pokémon. It was a struggle to get my son (6) to properly brush his teeth so when I saw this app I thought it might be the best thing for him and I was right! He was so excited to try it out and after a couple weeks he is still excited but he is starting to get frustrated because he isn’t catching Pokémon. He has only caught 2 and at least 3 ran away. I think the ability to catch Pokémon depends on how well you brush. He has improved and the app even tells him how well he doing but he still can’t catch them. Its only a matter of time before his excitement is gone. I think if he caught a Pokémon once every couple days it would improve his motivation but at the moment it seems to be starting to discourage him.

Great Concept, Poor Execution. I, as a teen, am probably too old for this type of app. But I figured, “I gotta brush my teeth, may as well catch Pokémon while I’m at it” The idea is amazing! Encourage little kids to brush by catching Pokémon! However, the way this app works is less than satisfactory. I was a bit concerned when I saw that when you tap the screen to catch the Pokémon, it wasn’t a 100% catch rate. I would recommend changing this to an option in game, as some children don’t respond well to failure. If little Timmy doesn’t catch Pikachu, there might be tears and he may not want to play the game again. Also, the BRUSH FASTER mechanic doesn’t work very well. It’s caused my gums to bleed every time I use the app. Everyone brushes at their own pace. I’m a slow brusher, I like to take my time and make sure my teeth are actually clean. Sometimes I make it so the app can’t see me, so I can ACTUALLY brush my teeth. Also, the starter Pokémon you get is pretty useless. Eevee is cute, but she does nothing to help out. I was brushing really well and super fast like the app was telling me to, and none of the purple stuff was going away. Eevee was just... there. If y’all can fix the problems of the app, I will continue using it, but for now, me and my bloody mouth will pass.

The best app I’ve ever tried - don’t knock it til you try it if you hate brushing!. As someone who hates to brush his teeth and finds it Very uncomfortable and very much an overwhelming sensory experience, (I have ASD/Asperger Syndrome) this is the best app I have ever used. I have had gingivitis and gum bleeding but lately it has significantly improved thanks to this app!! Thank you Pokemon Company for making something that I used to dread into something fun that I look forward to doing. I’m sure I’m not the target audience considering I’m a grown man but I think I speak for those others on the autism spectrum when I say this app is a lifesaver. Five stars!!! The only improvement I could suggest would be to add more kinds of Pokémon characters to brush with.

Accessibility. Ok, so I have a visual impairment, so I have to be close to the screen in order to see the text. Can you guys add some sort of audio description of some sort so I know when I need to look at the camera, or if I need to move my head so it fits in the screen? The app is really good and it made me brush my teeth better than I’ve ever brushed before. Also, instead of it scanning to see if your eyes are looking at it, it should scan to see if your face is facing towards it so that way people with nystagmus can have a bit of an easier time with it as well. Tbh, I actually don’t know if it scans your eyes, but if it does the nystagmus thing would definitely be useful. I was thinking of those features being in the settings option so that way parents and teens can turn it on and off if they do or don’t need it. Either way, I’m giving this app 5 stars.

Great App, Minor Issue. I feel I should open this review by stating that I’m a late teenager, because I have autism and I need apps like these to help me take care of myself. Great app that does it’s job well-encouraging and helping people brush their teeth! It’s enjoyable, filled with charm, and completely free no matter what. The art style is adorable, the reward system of collecting Pokémon is great, and you can set notifications to remind yourself to clean up those pearly whites! It guides you through specific sections of your teeth and has you clear them real good. I can already see an improvement with them! Minor issue is that the game has a hard time registering that you’re brushing the top or back of your middle chompers. I have a bright blue brush, good lighting, and I do my hardest, but my “score” (for lack of a better term) always worsens at those parts. Might just be cause I’m older though, and I still get the rewards so it’s not like I’m impacted that much. Still highly recommend this for anyone who has trouble caring for their teeth!

Awesome game! Helped a lot, needs some things. I'm an age regressor, and my caregiver showed me this app one night saying they found it in a comment section under a video regarding mental health. When we met I let them know that I tend to have issues with nighttime routines and that perhaps it would be a good idea to put things in place to help with that. Pokémon smile makes it a lot easier and more fun to brush my teeth. I struggle with it, especially on long nights, but when it's made fun and cute I have no problem. I do wish, though, that you could add more than three alarms(perhaps a max of 5) and that it didn't have a brushing cooldown. Also if there was a setting you could toggle that says "I Have Braces" where it would guide you to do more thorough brushing(or just a longer brushing timer) that would be absolutely amazing. Perhaps I'm asking too much of a child's app, but nonetheless it's great! Thank you for this ^^

See you at Pokémon smiles VGC 2021. I love the plot of this game. The characters have some real depth to their actions, when I see Pikachu fighting hard against tooth decay and cavities it lights a fire I couldn’t find to make me brush harder. With a Eevee cap on my head I know I can catch that Pokémon and become a smiles master. For real though it is a good concept to get people to brush their teeth better, this game may be for kids but most adults can do better with brushing their teeth. My main complaint is that the game can’t see my toothbrush which is the fundamental function of the game. I used both a translucent toothbrush and a solid color toothbrush and both had trouble being pick up by the camera. I was also brushing very hard and it was telling me to go faster, but the point isn’t to go fast, it’s to get a full brushing of the mouth. If they can get this fixed it will make me happy.

GOD HAS BLESSED US. As an angry child who doesn't want to have "oral hygiene" but wants all them Pokémons I'm more than delighted and intrigued. My sister thinks she will win the oral war but really she will collapse and black out after seeing my blindingly shiny teeth. She will cower. Oral Hygiene was never important for me. My teeth were as black as my soul browner than the most disturbing waters. More tragic than my bank account. They were as bad as they can come. But then I had the most desirable hallucination of an app like this one. Of me being happy with all the Pokémon. I was never super into Pokémon the only thing I really liked was making Curry in Pokémon Shield for the Pokémon . BUT NOW, NOW things have changed I brush like the wind tooth paste foaming from my mouth like I have rabies! Raccoons bow down to me at this point. ANYWAY my teeth are immaculate after using this fine specimen of an app. 5 s t a r s

Good idea in principle, bad in execution.. My kids were very excited to do this app. They love Pokémon. What a great way to get them excited to brush their teeth. But we have found the app does not work great. First, my kids have electric tooth brushes, and you’re not supposed vigorously move your toothbrush with those, but that’s how the app suggests you brush. Even if they brush the way the app suggests, it doesn’t always recognize your movements. Next, you have to be right in the window for it to recognize you’re brushing. That’s not easy for kids to do, either on a phone or tablet. And after that, you’re not even guaranteed to catch a Pokémon. What a way to disappoint a kids first try of this app when they brush and then get nothing to show for it. Take some notes from some of the other brushing apps, like the one with Disney characters. Both my 6yo and 9yo have cried because this app is not fair.

Suddenly stopped working. (This is supposed to be 2.5 stars but I couldn’t figure out how)I was brushing my teeth every day and everytime I ended up catching a Pokémon. Until one day which the pokeball was a premier ball and I failed to catch. It’s been 3 weeks and I still can’t catch a Pokémon anymore. I didn’t change toothbrushes, bathrooms, toothpaste, and anything else. I can no longer catch any Pokémon. Did you make it harder to catch Pokémon in an update? It was working really well at first but now it’s the same as normally brushing my teeth except with disappointment. Edit: I forgot to mention sometimes it tells me to brush faster but then it brushes so much that there is toothpaste of the toothbrush so then it can’t see it so I just get stuck.

A nice app. This is a really nice app. It encourages brushing, has nice visuals and physically it works decently. My main problem is the actual brushing part. To catch Pokémon in this game, you must brush your teeth properly, but the game seems to pick up on it weirdly. I’ll be brushing my teeth fine, but it’ll say to “brush a little faster”, so I do, but it still pops up. This prevents me from catching any Pokemon because technically to the game, I wasn’t brushing right. With this strange issue, my concern is how this will impact children. I myself am not a child, but if this is happening with me, and it also happens to some unsuspecting kid, how’ll they feel? They’ll be trying to brush their teeth, but this malware problem could lead to the child hurting themselves. I suggest having a slider in the setting of sorts to adjust how quick someone needs to be brushing to be considered proper. This way, no one hurts themselves while brushing, and they can still catch Pokémon.

Not just for kids!. I’m an autistic teenager who has trouble brushing his teeth regularly and I downloaded this app because of my long-lasting interest in Pokémon. The concept’s great, the art style’s adorable, and the music is absolutely amazing for this kind of game! I only give it four stars though because the brushing tracking is not very good. Even when I’m brushing as fast as I can, it still tells me to brush faster! I’m a high schooler and struggling to catch a Diglett! Imagine being five and having to brush at the speed of sound! My gums have bled from this game, and my arm feels like it’s gonna crumble into a fine powder, but at least I don’t have that gross plaquey feeling on my teeth anymore!

Surprisingly, not a joke. If you’re anything like me, you also struggle to brush your teeth. Every night I can hear my mom and dad whisper behind my ear, “It’s time to brush your teeth” and a little part of me rebels. I know brushing my teeth is important for my health, and it makes my smile look much nicer, but it feels like such a chore. Kind of like exercising or washing the dishes (which is why I typically listen to music or audio books during those activities). That’s where Pokemon smile actually helps me brush my teeth on a daily basis. The gamification and the rewards of capturing a Pokémon while brushing my teeth has helped me to be more consistent when brushing my teeth. While I would certainly like to see the graphics improved, several other reviewer‘s mentioned a 3-D model for the teeth (which I agree would be a nice addition) overall I am satisfied with this app. It encourages healthy behavior, has gamified a rather boring chore and creates a reward for doing so. Also, my teeth have never felt cleaner.

Awesome game one problem. I love this game. It makes brushing your teeth fun! The only problem is that it says we can’t see your toothbrush when I see it on screen

It’s works.... Ok, so serious review. I downloaded and played this as a joke, but this has actually gained me good oral health habits. I don’t know how, but this worked like a charm.

very good for fussy kids and geeky teens. i’m a 15 autistic boy with terrible sensory issues and i’m very bad with up-keeping my dental hygiene but pokemon smile makes me feel like i’m getting more out of it brushing my teeth. i’d think it’d also be good for children who don’t see the importance of brushing their teeth, teeth may not be important but pokemon sure is !! i do wish we there were shinys however ACTUAL COMPLAINT: it doesn’t work well with electronic toothbrushes which is pretty upsetting

Great to get the kids brushing but the camera keeps freezing. Camera freezes and my son gets frustrated because the app keeps telling him to brush faster so he ends up loosing a pokemon. Also makes him brush too harsh because he’s frustrated with the camera freezing.

Bad. game. yesterday I got this game and it made my mouth bleed but I don’t know how because none of my teeth got out but I really wanted to play this game and it’s horrifying for me so I tried getting a tissue to get it out but then I didn’t even get out

Amazing!. I used to have cheezel teeth but since we got Pokémon smile they have been pearly white! 😁 I have been brushing pretty good! but I forgot to do it sometimes but now… I do it twice a day and want to do it more!🐒

Best game. Game of the year. As a 17 year old who is scared of toothbrushes, this really helps when I need to brush my teeth. Thank you Pokémon company for this masterpiece.

worked for me. would like to preface this review with a note that it’s genuinely serious. review section seems to be filled with poké fans cracking jokes at the moment but rest assured that this review is an island of sanity. i can’t speak for its effectiveness on its target audience of little kids, as i am almost an entire adult and haven’t interacted with anyone younger than 13 since quarantine began, but i just spent two entire minutes cleaning my teeth after being plagued my whole life by sensory processing disorders that have made the task either impossible or exhausting. tried to catch a ratatta. didn’t get it. i’m not even mad because i’m actually planning on brushing again this evening instead of feeling slightly guilty until 2am. no idea what kids think of it but it’s great for people who struggle to maintain their dental hygiene because mental health issues go brrrrrrr. four stars because the camera occasionally struggled to pick up my [non-clear, completely distinct from my face] toothbrush, and also because i wish litwick was in it, but the app functions pretty well as far as i’ve seen and by the looks of things it’s going to be genuinely helpful. if you hate the feeling of a toothbrush in your mouth but really like pokémon then this app will probably help you somewhat.

Works well. we have a five-year-old and a two-year-old and both of them absolutely love it has worked so much better than anything else and provides consistent teeth brushing

Gen 2 PLEASE!!!. My 7 year old loves this but has got all gen 1 (and the hats) now so doesn’t enjoy it as much. Please bring Gen 2 (and some more hats) in so he can start the hunt again. To find a shiny would be something exciting too.

It’s awesome. It feels like it gives me a reason to brush, collecting all the Pokémon it is really motivating good job.

Ridiculous. four year old tries so hard to catch a Pokémon by brushing his teeth really well and still can’t. What’s going on with this app?

Four and a half. This app is great and all, like the hats and Pokémon but there is one problem… The lack of updates! Like, I’m stuck on loop catching the johto and kanto pokemon! Please I’m begging you, have another update on Pokémon Smile!🥲

Has its downsides. Hello, I have 1 child, my seven year old son who loves this app. My only problem is, that there should be support for electric toothbrushes. That’s it. Other than that it really helped me encourage my son to brush.

WE LOVE THIS!. I would just like to say, from a child’s mind this is an amazing app! My and my 9 year old sister love this and look forward every time it tells us to brush our teeth please upgrade the game so we can continue playing!

Great job. I love brushing teeth an I think this app really helps me

So helpful, but please expand the Pokédex. This app has been such a helpful addition to our family’s routine for our kids. They have completed both the original and second Pokédex, it would be great if this can be expanded further! Thanks for the great work

Add more Pokémon. Works great for the kids but they finished there Pokédex after about 3 months, when is gen 2 coming my kids are getting bored of catching the same Pokémon.

Helped a lot!:). I hate brushing my teeth this app made it fun and easy! I totally recommend!

Best app for teaching kids how to brush their teeth. I can’t love this app more and so my kids. Not only the rewards of catching a pokemon, but the part that they actually showed them what to do and where to brush every single teeth and for a period of time. As dental assistant I see how kids don’t know how to brush their teeth and they spent very short time doing it. But I am now recommending this app to every parent patient I can… thank you for make this app and the best part is free!!

Best game ever. My daughter loves to brush her teeth and is always showing us her Pokémons

Good idea, didn’t work very well. I don’t know if we were doing something wrong, but both my kids tried it and it kept not detecting their toothbrushes, and then neither of them could catch the Pokémon at the end which has made them not want to do it again. It’s a cute idea but it didn’t really work for us :(

Fails to provide players with a feeling of pride and accomplishment. I was very excited to get this game so I can continue to play Pokémon while brushing my teeth. However, they removed the national dex from this game also, even more where cut this time. As a result, I cannot recommend this game unless you really want to have fun brushing your teeth.

Fun game. It really makes brushing teeth super fun. Probably the best game on my iPod!

Latest update makes the game unplayable. Absolutely amazing app that my children have been using for years, but after the last update the game can not get through the full two minutes without crashing. Would love for this to be fixed!

Guys this is incredible. Y’all I needed to brush my teeth and I didn’t know how but this app has helped me do exactly that with the skill of a professional tooth-brusher and soon I’m gonna be the very best like no one ever was

Thank you. I have had troubles brushing my teeth since the accident thank you pokemon for putting a Pokémon hat on my head as I brush my teeth

Better than Shrek 5. This game is a masterpiece. My wife’s boyfriend tells me to get off of it all the time but he doesn’t understand the absolute beauty that this game beholds. If this game doesn’t get game off the year I will be very disappointed. 12/10

Good app but improvement needed. Cons: The brushing demo doesn’t have a few seconds to brush the tongue which is very important in dental hygiene. And can we also have the option of 1.5min instead of 1min (too short) and 2min (too long) for some kids? Pro: Excellent app to teach young children to brush teeth independently. My child adores it daily.

This really works!. Day 1 of using the app involved introducing my toddler to a new game he could play while brushing his teeth. He enjoyed picking which hat he wanted to wear. Day 2 of using the app, and my previously difficult toddler at brush time, ran - yes ran, to the bathroom so that he could brush his teeth with the app. He is now two weeks in and building up his Pokédex. He is following the visual prompts on screen and enjoying thoroughly brushing his teeth.

Definitely should get!!!!. It’s great I shared it with my friends and it even shows you where to brush so definitely should get it!!!!!!

Frustrating for kids. My son is having a hard time. It doesn’t detect his non-white toothbrush for more than have of the time. Hasn’t caught even one pokemon. Please fix.

So far so good. This app is awesome but it doesn’t let me in when I need to brush my teeth. Please fix.

Better than the actual games!. You catch a Ratatta with a Master Ball, enough said!

So good. This app is amazing cuz it is humorous and funny but please add more characters

Sad. At first I’m like this game is ok but suddenly it was really hard to catch Pokemon and it takes all the fun out of the game.

THIS IS AWESOME. im a 60 year old man and it helps me brush my teeth everydaye. And fills me with joy. I love catching pokeman. recommend downloading. Better than actually pokeman goh my grandkids are 16 and they brush my teeth every 5 minutes ore they get no food. my great grayet mother loves me only because I play it. GET THIS GAME NOW OR U WILL BE GONE Lots of lohv. Scincerly, Jamal the 24th

I’m rich now. I sold my Pokémon’s teeth on the black market to a nice middle aged man this game is amazing I’m rich now I now own a pikachu teeth cleaner and socks

Need more updates. Really good game so add more pokemon please

Unnecessary. We felt the idea of this app doesn’t work, kids brushing teeth in front of a screen just so they can see Pokémon. For me it’s next level idiocy. My son agreed after trying to figure out where to place the iPad near the basin. Maybe if you have a huge vanity it might work. Not a fan we deleted it.

Unresponsive. I’ve had this game since day one and I’ve used it everyday and I’ve only managed to successfully catch 3 Pokémon. Every time I brush it keeps saying “We can’t see your toothbrush” Or “brush Faster” Making it very difficult to get the Pokémon clean so I can catch it. I’m gonna bust my teeth trying to get the game to know I’m brushing fast

Lifesaver. This app has been a lifesaver for my 6 year old who is pokemon obsessed. He used to go into the bathroom and stare at the grout for 10mins while we constantly reminded him to brush his teeth- and when he did it was a slight wave of a brush in his mouth. We always brushed his teeth at night, but have been trying to encourage independence in the morning. This app though... AMAZING! No more arguing, or both of us getting frustrated. He now wants to brush his teeth and brushes them so well for 2 mins. The first couple of times he “played” he didn’t catch any Pokémon because he wasn’t brushing well, but now he catches them every time and he is so motivated to do it. He is finally brushing his teeth well. I am so glad this app came into our lives- and so is my son.

Eh. I tried it for the first time today. I know I’m too old for it but my sister persuaded me to get it and it looked fun. I was really looking forward to do it with my sister so we started brushing our teeth. I was confused because it said that I needed face the camera although I was. My sister was doing the exact same thing but all the becteria was going away from hers. She has a black tooth brush and I have a white and pink one so maybe that is why. -Maria

Ultra good. Keeps me brushing 3 times a day instead of 1 time every night

Very fun. It really helps if you hate having to brush your teeth just download this game and u will have more fun while brushing it some people say it makes my mouth gums bleed it doesn’t really it says not to brush hard and when it says go faster it doesn’t mean like really really fast it’s a good game also fun collecting Pokémon’s and hats I like this game 👍

Inconsistent. This game/activity is inconsistent. While the nature of what the app does is good, the outcome is very inconsistent. Try as a child and try as a teenager. The results and mechanics change from game to game. Eg. Mornings are easy and nights are impossible.

A bit of fun. Certainly a wild idea but it seems to be very helpful for a lot of people, not just kids, to encourage them to brush. I am a bit critical of the tips that come up, particularly “brush faster” when I’m already brushing quite fast. I can ignore these messages but I do think about how many people will follow instructions and I worry about brushing faster may lead to brushing harder in some, and brushing too hard can affect yourself gums and enamel. Was this developed with dentists?

Pokémon Smile :D. This game is amazing and it keeps me wanting to brush every day, it tells you to brush for the recommended time and send me reminders when I need to brush. The head recognition is perfect on me. I honestly thought the app was what was making my gums bleed because I read the reviews after I downloaded and saw blood in my spit, so I asked my dentist and they said those reviews are incorrect and it’s not the app, it’s that they don’t floss. I would highly recommend this game for manual toothbrushes but not Electric since you don’t need to brush so fast on electric. Over all great game but just needs an update to put in a electric mode (not brushing so much) and maybe more hats and Pokémon.

Hi game freak. This is a great game also I would love to suggest a feature for this app there should be a button in options the Pokémon you have caught in to pokemon home and then you transfer it to the switch I hope you read my review and I will be hoping that you add this in a later update. Peace

It works. Anyone who is obsessed whith Pokémon will love this app

here’s a tip. if you just wanna catch pokemon pretend to brush your teeth and switch the day

From a Dad. No child can learn to brush properly using this app. It’s just 2 minutes of yelling at my kids to brush faster and faster, then denies them a Pokémon. After 3 days, this app got the boot.

Electric Toothbrush. It works fine with a manual, but I now need to use an electric one & would like to be able to use this app still. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with electronic brushes.

It’s good. It’s quite a good game for brushing for me saying I haven’t in a months 😂

Yay. This has saved my teeth

I love this app. I'm brushing my teeth everyday but just one request can there be an app for flossing? 🪥😶‍🌫️

Help. My teeth are bleeding but very clean

DLC. Add a braces dlc please

Super Cute and Super Helpful!. I’ve always really struggled with brushing my teeth, so having the inspiration every day to see what Pokemon I’ll catch really helps! Also, the bleeding gums issue that older reviews have talked about seems to be fixed, because I was able to catch pokemon while gently brushing due to wisdom tooth surgery.

Pokémon smile saved my teeth. I am an old pirate who has never thought of brushing my teeth. These little black stumps i keep in my mouth have no value to me and so i ignore them. My life consists of collecting booty and sinking merchant ships so even if i cared for them, i wouldn't have the time. Recently, I was in a pub with me mates when i saw that old Dickbeard III had these glowing white teeth. i was so shocked i almost tripped over me own beard. After a quick tussle, he showed me the magic of Pokémon smile. I was hesitant at first, but when i caught my first Pokémon, i fell in love with the game. I now balance it into my schedule. Hope this review helps! Sincerely, Nobeard IX

Some people are wrong. Some people say it makes your gums bleed but you just change the time and don't scrub hard around your gums. I love the app and have a lot of fun with it despite my age of 11

Great Game. This game ACTUALLY helped me. I used to never brush my teeth and now I do. A lot of people said they started bleeding and thats not the games fault. It’s just unhealthy gums. Please stop blaming it on the game. Some people may have sensitive things.

60 BILLION STARS but one suggestion!. this is amazing! this is the first time using it and my teeth are white now! i never had so much fun brushing my teeth! thank you, pokemon! (suggestion part) hey guys! this is an edited review so ima add the rest: i would really like an area in the app where the photos you didnt save when u are done brushing your teeth are there and you can still edit them if that makes sense. thanks!

Helps my brush every day!. I love this app my friend has it and I had an inspiration to download it thank you for even making this app!

It is an amazing app. Pokémon smile is amazing you are more focussed on the game than really brushing your teeth so it seems to go by faster but you’re still actually brushing your teeth sometimes it does yell at you to go faster which is my only concern but other than that it’s all good and I am 9

So worth it!. Really helps motivate you, and the camera tracking is amazing! However it would be nice to be able to evolve Pokémon by brushing with them a certain amount of times or something.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Unless u want blood comeing out of your mouth it’s a good app but it makes u brush really fast and my spit was nothing but red so pls don’t download this app

Best. Best brushing app ever

From a kid that’s 9 years old. The app is good but I tried using my finger and it worked don’t know what to say except for it should learn what’s a toothbrush and what isn’t also in the bottom right corner it tells you where to brush at that time so if you follow that it won’t tell you brush faster I’ll just say nice nice nice you’re doing great and stuff like that. So what I’m saying is the apps great.

It the Best. I love this app but I have one request can you add a flossing feature? I love this app it would be great with it:) 😁🐧

Need a flossing app. My son loves brushing. Need flossing one too. Also electric toothbrush recognition. Tells me to brush faster which makes me push too hard

fun but needs an update with more content. It was great until you get to the last Pokémon and then it becomes repetitive and the kids lost interest really fast. I think there are 254 Pokémon to catch. And some hats. It would be great if they updated it from time to time with new things.

It’s pretty good!. So, I’m not a kid but I saw this YouTuber look at this and they said it was bad, but I tried it and really enjoyed it. I have only used this once and today I had an appointment but if I didn’t then I would have brushed this morning. I will brush again tonight because it is very fun to catch the Pokémon. But everyone is saying that it wants you to go really fast but then your going to fast so it tells you to slow down, but maybe you just don’t have a good angle so the camera can’t see you. Other than all of that, it’s really good and I enjoy it, but I didn’t give five stars because, well, I just feel like the game doesn’t deserve it, but the app is still good. 👍 . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BEST BRUSHING TEETH GAME EVER!!!. It was really fun! Before I only brushed my teeth once a week now I do it twice a day. You should download this game right now!

Last update broke the app. Since the last update, the app take a long time to get started and crash. Need to do it a couple of time. The solution on their support page, force quitting all the other app, seriously we don’t need to force quit except when an app give issue like this one

Nice!. It’s a nice way to encourage children to brush their teeth.

THE BEST!!!!. This is the best app In the world! It is so good my kids teeth are so white they have never been so clean!

Love it. I LOVE THE GAME it is soooo FUN😜🤪!!

I love this game. Very fun game and helps me to be motivated to brush

Really good. This is the greatest game

Ok it’s good but I have one request. Can you add an electric toothbrush mode please? I use an electronic toothbrush and don’t need to scrub but it tells me to scrub anyway. Please help!

Teeth. My teeth have never been so white -jesus(I’m jesus)(call me Jesus, Czech Jesus)

Suggestion 173!?;&:!&,. Can you make one for flossing too!

Good but. Pokémon smile is a good activity for kids to brush there teeth but i wish they added a electric toothbrush mode and a flossing mode but overall it’s a good Pokémon game

Amazing!!. I started using this app a few days ago because I lost motivation to brush my teeth and eat healthy, it helped me so much! Now I look forward to brushing my teeth. Thank you so much for this app!!!

Super motivating!. I definitely wasn’t brushing for 2 minutes 2x a day before using this but now I’m addicted. The style is really adorable and I wanna see all the cute stickers and hats and catch em all! I love the clean feeling I get after brushing for a proper amount of time! My only concern is just make sure to use proper brushing techniques rather than listen to the app to go faster cause I don’t think scrubbing faster is gonna help anyone’s gums.

My kids love this app but…. This app has really helped encourage my kids to brush their teeth! Only problem is, I have 4 kids and the app only has enough profiles for 3! Two of my kids share one profile for now, but because the app only lets you brush your teeth at set intervals they cannot both use the profile back to back in the morning or at bedtime. Please add more profiles

Can think a better way to make brushing fun. It’s so amazing I love how you need to bush to get a Pokémon

Good. I love the app is makes my all teeth look clean and white 😁

Best Pokémon game out there worth it. If you like, Pokémon in your into brushing your teeth, I mean honestly keeping a happy smell is a happy smile but I mean this is for kids and adults as well. I mean like it’s not just a kids game. You can brush your teeth and collect Pokémon while you brush your teeth at the end of the game plus you get rare Pokémon as well so it’s worth having definitely recommend a 505 ratings and definitely recommend for new users.

This app made brushing my teeth FUN!!!!!. All i have is one request, CAN YOU MAKE MORE POKÉMON HEALTH CARE GAMES LIKE: POKÉMON COOK, ANSD LIKE MANY MORE SO PLSSS DO THAT.

They need to add a battle mode. They should make the entire Pokémon franchise look like this. They should also have a brush battle where you have 6 Pokémon and they swap with the next Pokémon when Knocked out and at the end whoever has the most Ko count wins

Camera tracking is garbage. This app needs serious improvements in how it tracks someone’s actual brushing. Three days in and not a single successful session between three household members is a joke.

Pokémon smile reporter. dear Pokémon smile when you fail catching Pokémon there’s this shadow thing in your Pokédex it’s so creepy that I might get a heart attack so please remove that

BRILLIANT!. My 6 year old loves this app and uses it every single day. Electric toothbrush would be cool but it works fine without it. I’m astonished this app is free. The app rewards you with stickers & new things every day so sometimes my daughter asks me for her tablet early (she’s time restricted) so she can brush her teeth and I give her a few extra minutes to decorate the picture it takes. I am so grateful to this developer. I don’t usually leave reviews but credit where it’s due & no charge means five stars.

Greatest tooth-brushing game of all time. Now wheres Pokémon Eat Healthy, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Wash Your Hands, Pokémon Take a Walk (I know we have Pokémon GO but the spoofers deserve an exercise too) Pokémon Drink Water, Pokémon Go to School, and Pokémon Homework

I would play it but…. My problem is that my screen camera is broken so I can’t use the anything in this app make a recording camera mode

So cute. I love it

Pleasantly surprised!. I did not expect this much instant gratification for receiving an animal for brushing my teeth! I have pidgey and now I want MORE...

It’s says that it doesn’t see my toothbrush. Please help

Dentists hate him!. I played this game and then went to my dentist. Being a gamer, I don’t brush my teeth at all and my dentist knew that and loathed me for it. However, when this game came out I became a professional at the art of toothbrushing. My dentist was so shocked at my sudden improvement. She asked, “What brought about this sudden increase in dental hygiene?” And I answered as any gamer would. “Well there’s a Pokemon game where you can catch Pokémon every time you brush your teeth.” My dentist sighed in disapproval and here we are. Thanks GameFreak.

Great game but I have a suggestion. Pokémon smile is a great game, I love it. Before I got this game I didn’t like brushing my teeth. But now I do THREE times a day. I would recommend this game to parents that have kids that love pokemon. I think it’s so fun because if you brush your teeth you get to catch a pokemon. I do have a suggestion for the developers though. I think more Pokémon and hats should be added. The reason I think this is because once someone has collected all of them there is no other point to play the game.

Great!! (Even for a 16 year old). I have many mental illnesses that make it difficult for me to brush my teeth consistently. This app beyond helps. It so cute and fun I often find myself smiling while brushing my teeth and it’s extremely rewarding earning Pokémon. I set it up to have reminders on my phone to brush my teeth and whenever I see it I get giddy because I get to play this game!! Even if you don’t struggle to brush your teeth this is still a super enjoyable experience and you should just try it out anyways!!!

This app is amazing. I love this app. It is just to cute to stop brushing but there is one thing I wish I could change…the pause button. Why do we need it not like we have a life or death situation on our hand ( sorry if someone does ). But in the end I love it and it is just soo adorable 🥰😊I say download it if you like Pokémon apps and you need to brush more (like me before because I had forgot a lot ). Please enjoy the app if you download it.

Amazing. This product changed my life. Before this I was a 30 year old loser in my parents basement, eating Doritos and Mountain Dew all day. Then, I got this. instantly my life was changed, I saw myself in the phone and realized that I couldn’t let the pokemon see me like this. So, I decided to start lifting to build muscles and eating healthy. Eventually, I turned into a chad. and all the pokemon loved me. I brushed my breath 400 times a day, and my teeth became so powerful everyone died when faced with my smile. I am now taking over North America, life is good.

I LOVE THIS. I’m a kid and i’m here to say that this game is super fun and cute. Tonight when i brushed my teeth after my mom got the app and told me that she thought i would like it, and well she was right! As a child myself i think this app will really change kids brushing habits and teach them that you don’t just brush the front of your teeth but the inside and back too. One thing i don’t like is that when i brush to fast it doesn’t tell me to go slower and my gums bleed. But that’s the only down side!

Needs work. A very simple and cute game that encourages you to brush your teeth. They aren’t kidding about not using a clear toothbrush: I began with a partially-clear brush and couldn’t catch anything. When I changed my toothbrush my odds got much better. The camera detection for when you brush the front and bottom row of your teeth is really spotty and often leads to failure if you don’t angle the camera properly or brush an area that the camera can easily read instead. If these weren’t issues the game would be perfect. Would like to see an expansion of available pokemon in the future.

The brushing is so unforgiving. Let’s start with the good, I do brush my teeth better and more often than I used to, I go for the two minutes three times a day compared to before when I used to only brush morning and night. It does make brushing your teeth less of a chore and slightly look forward for it. The intermediate, you get a heck of an arm workout specially when trying to brush your middle teeth as when I brush on the sides, it detects it with no problem but when I go to the middle I have to go super hard and super fast in order to get some cleaning done to the Pokémon. The bad, the brushing is so unforgiving, even if you go extremely hard, it does have a hard time detecting your middle teeth brush, either open or close, and what kinda got me annoyed was that as I was trying to go faster ,as it asked me, I accidentally stabbed my upper gums and now I have an unwanted canker sore... Not cool PokéCo. 😒 I hope the update fixes this because all in all it does motivate me and perhaps several others to brush their teeth without it feeling like a chore, while engraving Pokémon in the mind of future buyers. Buh-bye, Cheers! ✌🏼

Not always functional. I have a consistent problem with the camera either picking up my toothbrush, not seeing my face even though I’m in the middle of the screen, or thinking I’m not brushing right. When I brush the front of my teeth most of the time it picks up and says I’m doing good but when I get to the bottoms of my teeth it says that it can’t even see my toothbrush. I’m in a well lit room and my toothbrush is pretty noticeable so I don’t know why it can’t even pick things up most of the time. I made sure multiple times that I was following the guide correctly but it still doesn’t always register. It’s a great concept but it can be greatly improved.

Needs adjustments. I enjoy this game and am glad it exists as I am quite bad at remembering this sort of thing, and having it on my phone helps to remind me to brush. However, the speed in which I had to brush just to catch a Pokémon is ridiculous. My arm is actually tired after that session. Maybe it’s because I don’t use normal toothbrushes as mine is a powerful electric one, but it isn’t really registered by the camera so I had to switch to a regular spare, and so I may not be used to moving so much, but I don’t think it’s the case. And while the camera doesn’t always register my movements, I can understand this is the first time someone’s tried to do this sort of thing so it’s likely not perfected.

Great for kids. My three year old will frequently ask to brush their teeth and catch a Pokémon at night. After trying to brush their teeth once they didn’t do quite a good enough job to earn a master ball to get a guaranteed catch. After that they let me brush their teeth and it allows me to get a full two-minute brush in every night. We have a lot of fun making little Pokémon families with the stickers afterwards. Teaching kids to brush their teeth properly takes a lot of persistence and vigilance. My kid is getting a good feel of what a proper tooth brushing looks and feels like, they’ll be ready to brush their own teeth soon. I will still be nearby to make sure they do it well and earn that master ball to avoid any night time disappointment (but mainly to ensure proper brushing) 😂 It’s also really cool to bond with my kid over something I loved as a kid and continue to enjoy. That’s one more life-long Pokémon fan created at an early age.

cutest app of all time. I don’t need help brushing my teeth but I downloaded the app just because it looked cute. And now, honestly, I look forward to brushing just because I can’t wait to see what little Pokémon I’ll catch next! The first night it had a hard time registering my face and I recommend propping up the phone on something, but after that it’s worked every other time. I hope more Pokémon are added in time, such a wonderfully simple and adorable little app! :)

So CUTE and Helpful. I'm 21 and noticed (because of my mask breath) that I wasn't brushing well enough. Pokémon Smile is easy to use, the music is adorable with each song having a slight reference to other Pokémon music. And if you keep getting the "brush faster" or "we can't see your toothbrush" prompt, you can bump the default timer up to 3 minutes. It's just been a real fun and happy experience in the whacked out world we live in.

A tale of a man who didn’t know how to brush. Where have this been my whole life? Before Pokémon presents I was just a lonely man walking in the street and I didn’t know how to brush my teeth. Then it happened, Pokémon presents. It changed my life forever.... I finally learned how to buy a toothbrush and toothpaste and scrub my teeth. I now have a wife 7 kids and I own a mattress store. Every time I go outside and smile everyone goes blind and passes out. It’s all because of Pokémon smile my life is finally coming together. Who cares about a gen 4 remake when we got this beautiful masterpiece Your a genius Pokémon company

Great idea, super laggy. Love this app. My 3 year old uses it every night to brush his teeth and gets SO excited when he catches a new Pokémon and especially when he earns a new hat or medal. The problem is that lately the app has crazy lags! It’s glitchy and won’t recognize that his face is in the window or says it can’t see his toothbrush. Tonight the app totally froze while the timer continued and he lost out on a Pokémon even though he brushed well for the full 2 minutes. He was really upset. Total bummer. It just seems like the longer we have the app the worse the performance is :(

Great app!. This app is overall a great game especially for people who have trouble brushing their teeth. Although this app is for kids, it’s also great for teens and adults. The reason why I gave it 4 stars though is that you can’t turn your camera around and sue the back camera instead of the front camera. Since my front camera is broken on my phone, I have to use my iPad, which can be really difficult to use.

Delicious app. So I'm 18, I don't write reviews on apps ever and it has been YEARS since I've brushed my teeth for two minutes straight and properly. Tonight was the first night in a long time my mouth is clean. My gums and teeth are crying tears of joy because there is now a possibility of me actually taking care of them. This app might actually single handedly fix my dental hygiene habits. Love the photo feature, now I can feel like hello Kitty while gagging on toothpaste foam

This app made me brush my teeth, but fix something.. Okay so I had a bit of a depressive episode so I got this to brush my teeth, and it works great! But the “brush faster” mechanic causes my tooth paste to spill out of my mouth and my gums to bleed 😐. When it ended I went to catch my Pokémon and it didn’t work. I mean I as an older kid was fine with it, but some little kids, especially ones who get discouraged easily, may not catch their favorite Pokémon and then not want to brush their teeth. I think as long as they’re brushing for the 2 minutes they should be able to catch it.

reccomended for adhd/autism/attention issues!!!. so i'm a teen with adhd, and i've got absolutely no sense of time, and i also didn't know how to brush my teeth correctly, apparently (lol). buuut this app has helped me a lot!! before, i wasn't really brushing my teeth at all, but once i got this app it helped me a lot! the timer is great, but for me personally the little diagram in the corner is where this game really shines! it helps me to know where to brush and when to do it, along with the various hats including visual cues of when you're brushing correctly or not. as other reviewers have mentioned, there is a problem in picking up the back sections of my middle row of teeth, but i've managed to find an oddly specific position to make it register, and either way it doesn't effect my score. overall, i'd recommend this game to anyone who struggles with adhd, autism, or attention issues!! (sorry if i'm using the wrong terminology though!!)

Changed my two year olds teeth. For a long time we have been struggling with our two year olds teeth looking nasty and getting build up near the gums. We tried our best to help him brush but he would always resist and pull away making it difficult for us to brush. We still help him brush but then he does Pokémon as a reward after we brush his teeth. There is no more yucky build up and his teeth look awesome! So happy to have this app!

I love it But....... I love this app and I wanted the kids to use it I really love it it makes me and my little brother want to brush our teeth every day but we get mad because we can never catch a Pokémon at the end of it we always brush word tells us to end when we wake up we really get excited but we always lose the Pokémon we haven’t got a single one we really don’t like that can you please make it a little better so we can catch Pokémon a little more often I had this for five weeks already and I love this app it’s just that he gets like disappointed when he doesn’t get a Pokémon

This game is way too hard.. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking: This app is for kids, how can it be too hard? I know that as an adult in her late 20s, I am far from the target demographic for this app, but I saw it on Twitter, and I thought “an app that will allow you to catch Pokémon by doing something I do anyway? Sign me up!” Since I discovered this app existed a week or two ago, I’ve been using it twice a day, every day, and I STILL haven’t caught a Pokémon. I’ve followed the instructions perfectly every time, and I have nothing to show for it. If I’M having a hard time, how will KIDS get any enjoyment out of it?

Fun, but with a couple issues. The app is fun to use and I find the diagrams helpful for knowing how long to brush each section. Since I use an electric toothbrush, though, it keeps telling me to brush faster. Also it doesn’t give a message reminding me to floss, though I already make sure to do so every time. These aren’t bad enough to make me not want to use the app, though, and I really like that I can set up a notification to remind me to brush every morning and evening. All in all, a good app for kids and adults alike.

Bizarre idea but honesty helpful. It’s been surprisingly helpful for when I find myself getting super busy and my daily schedule gets out of wack. Only request is an option to turn off the AR hat. As an adult using a children’s app to compensate for poor personal management skills I’d like to see a less patronizing reflection when I stare at myself in the morning. Otherwise the app has been essentially perfect. It’s visually and effectively clean and colorful. It enforces good brushing habits. People joked about dlc for flossing but that I wouldn’t mind seeing it. This app is just another piece in a puzzle of apps looking to help better oneself and I’m all for it.

An amazing incentive to brush your teeth. I am just a kid, which is exactly what the age demographic is, but I can’t help but love this game, even if I was over 18. The game is very simple, keep your face in the camera, brush where the red section is, and catch a Pokémon once the timer is over, but simplicity is not a detriment by any means, it’s a very easy way for someone to want to brush their teeth. Whether that be before school, after school, before work, really anytime you want. I really like this game. 10/10

DEATH so don’t download. I played this game and my mouth bleed like 10 times But I got my gums fixed and my teeth came out like three teeth came out from playing this gameI’m only nine and still after all of that I still haven’t gotten one Pokémon that’s why I deletedThe game my mom said if this is happening to me then I should delete the game but I was dumb and I did not listen so my gums bled ten times. And brushing my teeth made my teeth so loose that if they’re just riding into a Apple they came out if you are a kid that’s reading this like me who is writing this or if you are an adult who is reading this making sure this app is safe for your kid please do not let your kid download this app and if you don’t have adultSupervision please don’t download this app highly recommend not to

How to be successful!. We had been trying to use this app for a bit with no luck catching Pokémon. There’s the guide in the bottom right telling you where to brush but following it leads to nothing. What you actually need to do is brush where the purple blobs show up. At the end when the Pokémon shows up, especially target that at the front and you’ll get it clean and caught in no time! Perhaps not the best app for an even and thorough clean, but if your goal is to catch Pokémon just aim for the purple clouds! If you get it totally cleaned off and visible, it’s a 100% success rate 😁

This Game Changed My Life and Teeth Forever.... I normally don’t write reviews, but this game is worth it. When I first opened up the app, I didn’t think much of it. I thought: “Oh, this is just some app for two-year-olds!” But then when I started to boot up the camera with me displayed; I realized that my teeth are worth it. My life is worth it. My... toothpaste and toothbrush are worth it! Soon after, I brushed my teeth every single second of my day. I couldn’t stop! I only stopped to write this review to spread the word about Pokémon Smile. That’s how addicting it is! Please download this app. Thank you for listening to my review.

Give the kids a break. Going to give my 5 year old bleeding gums trying to catch these Pokémon. Almost impossible for her on her own to meet the app’s expectations to catch a Pokémon, I’m in there brushing for her just so we have a chance, and still only caught one (luckily Horsea who she loves)... she still really enjoys the experience and says things like ‘it’s alright, we’ll catch him next time....”, but my heart is breaking. Still a fun bedtime routine and she’s excited to brush her teeth, so the app is doing what it’s supposed to, but they could ease up on the requirements to catch Pokémon.

Great Idea Poor execution. My son loves Pokémon, he has the plushes, knows all the names and so on. We learned of this he was overjoyed that we could include Pokémon into our routine. We’ve been playing the game for a week now and he has yet to actually catch a Pokémon. Hes very excited to try every night but end up going to bed disappointed that the Pokémon got away. Its gotten to the point that he just wants up to brish his teeth for him cause he doesn’t think hes doing it right. Im not sure how you program a game for young children with this high of a failure rate and think its going to make a kid excited to do the task. Ive watched him hes brushing his teeth correctly

Great app for kids and adults. The Pokémon catching seems to have improved since I last reviewed—I’ve been catching Pokémon consistently now! I’ve been enjoying collecting Pokémon, stickers, and hats. Every time I think I’ve found my favorite hat, I unlock another. I know this app is for kids, but as an adult I find it helpful. Normally when brushing I would zone out and not pa attention to WHERE I was brushing, which led to my missing spots (which my dentist would unhappily inform me of later). But with this app, I’m actually paying attention to where I’m brushing, so I feel more consistent with how well I’m cleaning my teeth. Though I still hope they eventually add brushing your gums/tongue/roof of your mouth. I usually brush those before or afterward, since they’re not covered in the game. Overall a great app. Definitely recommended to Pokémon fans of any age.

:(. i really like this idea, i have super horrible depression and it makes little tasks like brushing my teeth so hard. this gives me motivation and makes me happy. i just wish that it could track me better because it often seems to not be able to see my toothbrush despite the fact that it's not clear and i try to reposition my hand to make it more visible. i hope it gets better at detecting the brush soon,, edited: this is getting really frustrating, ive done everything i can for the app to be able to see the toothbrush easier but it can never see it. it either tells me it can't see it or to brush faster, which i am. i put my hair up in case that was the problem and that didn't help. i have good lighting, too. i can't catch any pokemon despite the fact that im doing everything right. very disappointed,, also, the little hats should super far down on my head ? like they cover my eyes ?? i don't understand why

It’s great but…. The Dentist said they had to pull out my sisters tooth when I got this app I kept getting a bunch of pop ups saying to enter a lot information in so I did and there was at least 24 pop ups but overall this app is great and after my sister started using it for a month , the Dentist said they don’t have to pull it out and they just have to put a white cap on it. thx if you read all of this byeeee

I wish there was more to do. The game is fun, I’ve been able to catch a Pokémon every time I play. But if I’m not brushing my teeth, there’s not much else I can do in the game besides change my hat. The Pokémon you catch just float around like fish and you can’t do anything but tap them. It’d be nice if you could switch them out with your starter or evolve them by brushing more or something. I know many players have had a hard time catching anything, so being able to catch something and working on evolving it would encourage them to keep playing.

Unable to progress. Am I supposed to show my teeth while I am brushing with this app? I have ankyloglossia, which affects my lips as well; it is painful for me to bare my teeth while brushing. I will try again and update if I have any more success, but today I brushed for two full cycles of my toothbrush (four minutes!) before I gave up getting the app to recognize what I was doing. If I need to display a distinct side to side motion for it to capture my progress, that's a problem too; with my electric toothbrush, that's bad for my enamel. App is cute, though. I'll give it another chance before I bump its rating down.

I got this game as a joke but now I’m actually using it. As the title says, I got this as a joke but since I’ve started playing I gotta say, this is actually pretty fun. Not only does it help me with staying motivated to brush my teeth, something I really struggle with, but it helps my overall enjoyment of doing it too. The Pokémon are totally adorable in this game and the pictures are really funny. The only real complaint I have is that catching Pokémon is somewhat challenging. I’ve brushed while playing around 7 times now and I still don’t have a Pokémon past the one you get at the beginning. Really fun and useful though.

I love it. I love this game (also I’m a kid) but this game is amazing and I love it. I’ve never been a fan of brushing teeth games. There all lame and I just don’t live them but this is something else!!! I love it the photos, the hats, the evil purple stuff that get on your teeth. just one thing about this game makes me a little upset. When I saw the ad for it with 4 to 5 year olds in it and it was for them I didn’t mind but when I brush my teeth I have to bend down to play the game but I can get used to that. Over all I absolutely love this game!!! 10/10!!!😊😊

Best parental assistance app ever. Honestly, teaching young children to brush their teeth properly without missing any spots is a feat in itself. Got this app as soon as it launched after the Pokémon Presents and my daughter used it to brush her teeth this morning (same day as launch). After using the app while she brushed her teeth, when I checked my o see how she had done, she didn’t miss any spots! Literally this app is amazing for helping kids brush their teeth in a fun way, especially when they love Pokémon already.

‘Brush a little faster’. I have ADHD, so this app is a great incentive for me to do a task that I sometimes forget about. I’ve used it for 4 days now with no trouble, and it’s been fun to see my stickers and new hats. My only complaint is the ‘Brush a little faster’ pop up, as i’m already brushing at a comfortable pace, and i’ve subsequently irritated my gums to the point of bleeding. Tone down the ‘Brush a little faster’ pop up, and be more lenient when it comes to catching a Pokémon. Because after all, this is a kids game, you should just give them the Pokémon regardless.

No cavities!. I have three young children, 4, 6, 8 who have used the app since launch. They just had their 6 month check up and none of them had cavities! It was the first time that has happened! Thank you! This app is really helping. The kids love catching Pokémon and they always brush better when they use the app. Glad you updated it. It was a little frustrating for them at first since the motion capture wouldn’t always pick up the toothbrush.

Whoever made this, needs and award. I am a 15 year old who hates brushing my teeth. I have some sensory issues and it can be a really overwhelming experience for me but this app solves basically all my problems. It gives me a fun thing to focus on rather than having to think about what I’m feeling and it guides me along so I get everything throughly. It has so many features that are GREAT for people with ADHD, or sensory issues. Overall, I would recommend this app to anyone. It’s truly amazing :)

Great for Adults too!. Like other people have said in their reviews, this app has helped me become more consistent in my brushing which was hard previously because of depression. The guide helps me feel like I’m actually doing the right things while brushing and gives me a reward of the Pokémon I’ve come to know and love. Thank you Pokémon smile for teaching me the healthy habits I was never taught as a kid.

Counter-productive. I don’t know what you people out there are apparently doing right, but when I found that my kids still couldn’t catch any Pokémon after three days of trying, I attempted it myself so I could give them some pointers, and I couldn’t do it either. After experimenting, I found that it does work if I just wave my toothbrush in front of my face a bunch. But if I actually brush, with a toothbrush inside my mouth, it never works. Same deal with the kids. So now not only do they dislike brushing, but they doubly dislike losing out on a Pokémon even though they did a great job brushing, so what was meant to be a reinforcement became a punishment. This thing needs to be a lot more forgiving before I’m willing to make my disappointed kids try it again.

Great in many ways, but also frustrating. This app makes my 9yo twins want to brush which is wonderful. However, one of my kids is autistic and has a hard time getting the app to recognize that he is brushing. If he doesn’t catch the Pokémon in sends him into a negative spiral. Simply allowing parents to override the app and give him the Pokémon anyway would have been a simple fix. Our workaround is to have me move a spare toothbrush in front of the screen when he is having difficulty.

🅣🅗🅘🅢 🅘🅢 🅢🅞 🅕🅤🅝! ٩(๑>◡<๑)۶. Im a eight-year-old and I'm about to be 9 in June 19th and This it's a very fun game and if you're teeth start to bleed that's alright! It just means you haven't been brushing your teeth well this is so fun it's where you fight bad guys and the bad guys are sugar that is trying to eat your teeth and they leave a little hole 🕳 when they are done eating that is called a cavity this is a great game and now I'm going to brush my teethThree times a day !

Amazing game!! I hope to see future updates :D. I am a 19 year old and struggle with motivating myself to brush my teeth. Having this game and sending the pictures I take to my friends helps me to take care of my teeth. Though this game is aimed towards kids I have had tons of fun with it!!! I hope one day to see an update with more stickers!! I know most people would want gen 2 pokemon or shinys but I would simply love to earn more stickers to decorate my pictures :)

It’s perfect! But…. This game is AMAZING! Don’t know why it was really created but I’m in love with it! However I feel like the app still doesn’t offer a whole lot so these are some of the things I want to do in a update. 1: A flossing feature would be great! Don’t know how it would work but I feel like I would be a cool bonus round! 2: Custom set notifications. It’s kind of a let down that you have to pick by 3 different times to have notifications sent to brush your teeth so in the future I’m hoping I could set timers instead of having to pick by 3 random times. 3: More Pokémon to catch would be nice because over time once you catch all the Pokémon the game isn’t as enjoyable. 4: I feel like there should be a option to not wear a hat because sometimes the hats block your kids face. I hope these features are something that you guys will consider adding to Pokémon Smile! ☺️

Genuinely a decent game. This is surprisingly good for a game meant for tiny people. Most reviews are really sarcastic, and it’s funny but doesn’t really help if you’re trying to decide whether to get this or not. Sure, it’s meant for kids, but it can genuinely help you if you just constantly forget to brush your teeth. It has alarms which remind you when to brush, and it makes the experience a lot more fun. You may think it seems childish, but you’re really just brushing your teeth in front of a camera for this game. It’s genuinely helpful.

Great for my mental problems. I have a lot of problems mentally, but to put it plainly, I am on the autistic spectrum and I suffer from severe depression. Due to my depression, I tend to not give myself the basic care I need, and that includes brushing my teeth. Pokémon is one of my current hyperfixations, so I decided to download this app. I found myself brushing my teeth more and more because of this app due to my hyperfixation! I know it’s meant for kids and I’m almost an adult, but I still found it to be helpful and I hope everyone, kids and adults alike, can find some sort of help in a simple app like this one ❤️

10/10 WOULD BRUSH AGAIN. Now that I have this app I can brush my teeth happily the last 18 years of my life has been so depressing and when I brush my teeth I would brush my teeth while looking in the mirror and thinking how much of a failure I am and I would get so depressed once I tried to brush my teeth and cried the whole time I wouldn’t even finish but now with Pokémon smile I can finally look at my stupid face and brush my teeth and now wanna die than you so much Pokémon I could not keep going without this
