Great Synth Bass. The last updated fixed the MIDI automation control problems so the app responds to MIDI CC in the GUI using MIDI learn or via the exposed AUv3 parameters. Great to see the AudioKit team continues to stand behind their work and is responsive to the needs of their users. Another quality app from AudioKit. Well thought out GUI, the sounds are awesome and light on both CPU and device storage. Comes with nice presets and easy to create your own. Get it while it’s hot.

Get This One! But BYOP👖!. This app has freed me from my practice/habit of putting 16 levels on a pad with a filtered 808 sample to get actual basslines and notes from a “kick drum” in iMPC PRO2. ... ok, not entirely, but it really does create a new dimension of isolated and editable speaker cracking tones that can be filtered to that exact frequency and resonance combination that with cause complete pandemonium brown* noting. *Audio Units allow you to put it on its own track within the iOS MPC app, but does not provide a change of pants.

I really enjoyed these limited edition apps but…. There’s supposed to be a series of 10. I get that COVID slowed everything down and the goal was 10 in a year. But I thought the plan was to still release all 10? Please release more!

You will be so happy. I love this app with all my heart. Just got it and discovered in moments what I have been looking for - for a long time. Tons of curated sounds that can all be customized. I will use this app, almost exclusively, for the way I curate and sample bass sounds. Lots of gratitude for this app!!!

Almost perfect. Please add 24 and 32-bit depth + oversampling & update app to fit iPad Pro screen without the letterboxing then I will change rating to 5 stars. Also I would love to be able to use my magic keyboard as midi controller/piano keys if possible! It would be nice to have the ability to add our own samples and mix between our imported sample and the selected operator/algorithm. Lastly, it would be cool to add additional sub-harmonics separately instead of distorting the whole signal or to just be able to select a range within the frequency spectrum. Check out SubLab desktop plugin/app by FAW for inspiration/examples. They have what I would deem the perfect UIX for this type of tool.

No more need to download 808 libraries. My new go to for 808 and bass sound glide is awesome and easy to use. Had an issue with beatmaker and they quickly fixed it.

808 Perfection!. This is exactly the synth I was looking for. The price was killer, the bass is boomin’, and I finally get to design my own 808 tones without digging around for other people’s sample libraries online. Very simple to use, yet surprisingly flexible sound design. Going through the 100+ presets just shows you how much can be done with this synth. Can’t wait to use it in my tracks!

One of the best 808’s out there. Truly a fantastic feat to make such a great-sounding 808. I fell in love with it at the first C0. :) Well worth ten times the asking price—the sounds are that crisp and delicious. And with AUv3 support, it fits right in with any DAW. Beautiful.

Superbad app!. This app sounds really really good. The only issue I’m having is the app doesn’t show up in the GarageBand AU list or the apps list in settings, I just can’t figure it out. All of my apps show up except this one. Been trying to figure this out for hours and now I’m at a loss, but it sounds great, I’m just not able to use for projects, not even in Audiobus. Figured it out! It was in Audio Ext. I was looking for it in IAA Superbad app!

Yes!. For the price this thing is amazing. All the knobs are super easy to assign to my controller is one of the best parts for me. Thank you for making this thing cheap enough to want to buy and good enough to actually use. Just got the iconnect cable to be able to use my iPad/iPhone apps with my MPC Live so having great apps like this saves me from all the hassle and money of buying expansion packs.

BASS. That is some real Bass! A variety of presets that engage your favorite electronic diaphragm! Just gotta be careful to not blow out your speakers when jammin. Add a snare drum patch or two and it’s beats for days

808🔥. Crazy app, so many 808s, you can never run out of things to do with this app. Perfect!!!🔥

Impressive sound, elegant controls. Another impressive offering from these guys, and right there with the model D as one of the biggest and best sounding AUs I’ve heard. The programming options are intelligent' effective and just about right, although I would have liked a filter envelop (or option to route amp envelop to filter). Really impressive instrument. Along with Model D and Aparillo, it’s one of the reasons I’m glad I got a cheap iOS MIDI interface and can now use my iPad as a module in my recording big rig.

Very cool sub bass app. A lot of people are upset that this app isn’t available anymore and all I can say if I’m grateful that I caught it when it was because I use this app to make crazy sub bass samples and sounds that rumble my monitors! I can’t wait to catch the next one!

Low-End Theory.. I bought this today based on a review. I am happy I did. The sounds are remarkable. Works great with sequencers. The sounds are super tweakable. New go to. ☮️

Solid synths, great cause. This crew consistently puts out solid,sample-based emulations! The gui is always simple and clean, and there’s usually something extra aside from the original parameters, like bit crushing on the 909 drums. I must admit though that their “Synth One” app is by far my favorite, and it’s free.

Best bass app for the price - a must have.. This app is perfect for adding deep bass tracks to your music. I hooked up my iPad to my car stereo with 2-12” subs and I about blew the windows out. Great app I highly recommend it.

Pitch drop?. As versatile as this is, there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated feature in the app itself to drop or raise the pitch for REALLY low end without midi routing. If there was it would be 100 recent perfect.

Easily sculpt your own 808s. This app is dope u can create a sub bass to your liking with easy controls..comes with tons of presets to start with...also id like to note that I had an issue with this app and I reached out to them and it was fixed in record time...thanks guys keep up the good work

Good sounds maybe buggy buggy buggy. Standalone version choppy buffer dropped sound, but sounds ok under AUM. Odd. Inconsistent volume jumps are bizzare. MIDI note on/off seems to get missed randomly on occasion, every few seconds. Sequences and live input played in miss notes sometimes, multiple sequencers and “DAWs” tried.

Keys getting stuck in BM3. Happen on every session. The sound quality in this is blowing the competition away but these keys getting stuck man. Please fix this. Please. As soon as I record in BM3 the keys start getting stuck non stop for me.

5 Stars means TRUST. Bought this haven’t had time to explore what it can do...but I know if these guys release it, It’s gonna be GOOD!! They do this for all the right reasons... the love of music. That’s something I understand and they’ve earned my trust...and will earn yours as well.

Please add IAA and Audiobus. I purchased this app and was excited to use it but found out that unlike the other apps from Audiokit, this app is not IAA/Audiobus compatible. Audiokit rules. Everything audiokit makes is great, I wish I were more talented to use it better....either way quality stuff for fun and work.

Stunning Quality!. This may be a single-purpose instrument, but in this case it is a very good thing. The oscillators sound quite precise yet musical, the filter oozes with juiciness at high resonance, and it has 2 simultaneous types of distortion for heavy-hitting wallops of BASS. This is a great, highly-capable synth, which I will start using in my music immediately!

Excellent!. Sub Bass 808 keeps you on the creative rails without getting bogged down trying to figure the app functions. Audiokit makes great audio apps and supports them well.

Sounds great, it’s an AUv3. It’s like AudioKit’s SynthOne: I can't seem to get a bad sound out of it. Fat and aggressive. But this one has a plug-in! I just wish it let me map the mod wheel to Cutoff.

Cool but crackles. Maybe I just don’t know how to adjust some settings but many presets have crackle on my iPad. Others are workable. I wish there were more reggae dub style ones.

Insane!!. I’m just not getting started with music production, all on the phone. This, I have to say has been insanely useful for me. I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing 90% of the time but this app still makes my basslines top tier.

It was nice while it lasted.... It keeps telling me it doesn’t exist when I’m in GarageBand. I was going through the sounds trying to re-customize them because I hoped deleting and reinstalling would help but nah. It just tells me it’s not found anyway when I was just using it. I don’t know why it’s suddenly messing up when I’m finally trying to use it, but please fix it 😑 Also allowing chords and the ability to favorite sounds would be nice. But I just want it to work at the moment.

I’m having a lot of fun with this app.. This app is pretty amazing for messing with fast bass lines. 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s still a little glitchy. Playing the keys near the home bar makes me close the app sometimes. Other than that, this is great and works great in GarageBand too. Every preset is pretty fat and you can tweak the sounds even more to your taste.

Very nice!. For $2.99 it is really tough to complain! Wish list items: ability to disable vibrato on the mod wheel. My midi controller (microkey air) has no knobs just pitch and mod wheel. So if I map cutoff to mod wheel I’m stuck with vibrato when I often don’t want it. Since I use a Bluetooth controller, I have no need for the on screen keyboard most of the time. It would be nice to display both the Main and More panels at the same time instead of toggling between the two. Thanks for the awesome app!

This Simplifies The 808 Glide. I mainly use my iPad in conjunction with my MPC, but I also use BeatMaker3. I can already tell after only using it for a few minutes that it will be a Go-To app in my arsenal!

Fantastic bass synth!!! AudioKit has another winner!. Love AudioKits synths and this one is a keeper. If you like nice baselines and who doesn’t this is for you. Lots of options no need to manipulate 808 samples anymore.... Now I’m off! To sample this into my Digitakt ASAP!🤪

Glitchy and crackling. After you play a note, there is a delayed ‘speaker crackle’. Disappointing and pretty much unusable. Maybe hold your money until they confirm this issue has been fixed. I am running the app on the latest iPad Air.

Has Some Good Sounds. Needs more presets.

“Yo AudioKit, You Wanna Come Out Here?”. “If your subwoofers ain’t bussin imma shoot you…..” A DM and ask why you’re lacking in the LFE department when you coulda been picked this up already. AudioKit really has some of the best instruments, often at prices far lower than other apps. They’re very generous in their pricing. I see some earlier adopters may have gotten this for $2.99 but I picked it up on a spring sale for $3.99 because 808s and good Drum apps are harder to come by than you’d think, and I still consider that a steal.. In line with their other apps, the UI is streamlined, incredibly simple and intuitive, and honestly comes with loads of Presets that you can tweak like the glide, pitch, depth, and enough other parameters that I don’t wanna name them all, BUT, not so many I couldn’t. See, some apps have bad UX with tabs, and separate pages for FX and modulation making you feel like your going back and forth between the instrument and the small tweaks you should be able to make easily.. This has an extensive, all inclusive preset list, much like their other instruments, and a main page with all the parameters you need, but not so many that you forego getting ideas out on the go, because you end up sitting reading a PDF about the app and it’s non-labeled buttons, what does what, etc. No everything is right in front of you, and I never feel like I’m *missing* an important parameter. The presets themselves will get you to the finish line for Mixing. But if the glide is a bit too long? Easy bump down.. Connecting MIDI is easy, as is mapping knobs. And then you can really shine by just twisting some knobs, playing a little till you take an already good Sub and make it into your own personal sound and getting a crunchy (but clean) sub that just feels right. You by no means need a MIDI controller.. The keyboard is very capable, and touch knobs don’t need surgical hands to get them where you need them. Hey, if I run into something I consider an issue, I’ll gladly update this in the hopes the devs see it, and hopefully can add it in, but I’ve had no QoL issues with it yet. Their Synths sound great, though, there are other good synths on the store to be fair. Maybe there’s great Bass Instruments as well… I just certainly haven’t found any that really rival this. I don’t need a sequencer. I don’t need workflow in the app.. I just need a great AU I can easily pick up and start playing/recording with.. This is that. AudioKits got “Another One….” 808 Samples never get me what I want, or don’t play well.. That’s just my personal feeling… A dedicated 808/Kick/Bass AU just integrates better with my work flow. Who’s got time to load samples into a Drum Machine when you’re trying to get a Bassline laid down quick? Then automating Glide later? No stop, time is precious and imagination is always fleeting. Boot this up and just get to it. Great App, AK. A-Kit Took It To 10.
