A very mixed bag that's hard to rate.. So let me preface by saying I loved manga rock and used their service for all my manga/webtoon needs for the longest time. This however is significantly better designed and aesthetically magnificent but there's just not enough stuff. When I think about downloading a manga app I'm more in it for what it contains rather than what it looks like, so something like this app is definitely promising if they can get more content that people want to read. Currently it's extremely bare bones with only a few large name titles and the rest is just fluff. I definitely understand that it's not easy to get licenses to manga and whatnot but there's not really any point to getting this app since there's nothing really here. It is by far the best designed app and is functionally brilliant but with nothing to do with all that there's not really much point personally. If you're looking to just pick up random Chinese/Korean/Japanese(rarely) then definitely check this app out, but if you're seriously looking for a reading app for all your manga and webtoons and stuff this just isn't it... Yet. Hopefully they expand their catalogue and make me want to return, but until then I won't be using it

Paywall?????. So I got this app after the beta testing and they offered the INKR extra option for 4.99 a month, I gladly have paid for that so I can read my subscriptions without a problem but now I also need to purchase coins on top of my subscription to continue reading? So what exactly is my “monthly” subscription paying for?? To top it off, it doesn’t really tell you exactly what you’re paying for since you still get ad’s even with the subscription so it makes it feel like a scam all together. I have canceled my subscription and don’t plan to renew it. It was a waste of money as I can’t even finish reading any of the Manga because now I also need to purchase coins. At least WEBTOON has a better system in place and it’s free. You can chose to purchase coins if you wish to read ahead or wait the allotted time frame for the chapters to be free. With this app, especially coming from the same people that had manga rock, this is truly disappointing and makes them look greedy.

Decent service. Slow, glitchy app. Please fix.. I generally like the service. The collection of works includes stuff that differs from other similar services that collect from different publishers, including Kodansha. Translation quality wildly varies, though. Inkr might want to consider retranslating a lot of older comics, because they bring down the overall impression. I do appreciate that the newer ones have vastly improved translations and the ability to rate the quality. I also like that I can access the more mature rated content from the app. Some services restrict that to only web browser access. My problem might be isolated to the current version, but everything loads so slowly. UI responses to taps have delays. And it constantly freezes, so I keep having to restart the app. I’ve tried rebooting, deleting the app and reinstalling, but it’s the same. Do some regression testing? Add another server? Incompatibility with something in an iOS update? Other similar apps I use aren’t this slow, so it’s not my internet connection. Anyway, good luck Inkr team. For background, if it matters, I used to use Manga Rock and I’m currently a paying Inkr subscriber. I hope these quality control issues are addressed. I’d hate to have to cancel.

Not as good as before. I had manga rock for a couple years and deleted it about 3 years ago. I loved manga rock and recently I wanted to see if it was still in the app store. When I looked for it I had learned that Manga Rock had turned into Inkr. I had just thought they changed the name and the way it looked but when I started to read a few manga i had on manga rock they start to ask for a subscription and passes. I was so disappointed to discover this. I know the payment for the subscription is only $4.99 but I know my parents they wouldn’t pay for something like this. I tried the trail and I was so happy to be able to read manga for free but recently it finished so now I have to use passes. The passes aren’t very reasonable. The way you get ink is very easy but you usually get like 10 for an ad and 80 for a challenge. For a day pass it’s 500 ink, JUST FOR A DAY. So you can only read these blocked chapters for a day and it’s not really fair. For 3 days it’s 1500 and for a week it’s 3500. I only had this app for about 2 weeks, the first week I tried getting ink for the passes and the second week I decided to use the trail which lasted me a whole week. Even with this much time of having the app I only have 910 ink, barely enough for 3 days. I’m just very disappointed in how they remade the app.

Good but. I literally sat doing something else while waiting for “Daily coins” or the present button page to load and it never did. 10 minutes later it’s still loading. Restarted phone and checked for updates, still wasn’t working. Guess it’s good I came for a free story, but I also want to look at others, if I could just get some ink.

It’s good, but not the same.. Being an og of Manga Rock, I was upset that Manga Rock would shut down and start a new app. I appreciate the cause of why they shut down the app. Next, they set up a beta program for us to try it out. The one thing I dislike about it was that there were hardly any manga. I don’t know if they balance it out yet. But during the beta program, I love some titles that they offer. I found out this week that the app would be officially on the App Store; pre-order and wait. I remembered that some of the titles I read on the beta wasn’t updated, so downloading the official app would probably make me read up to date. Well, I was wrong. Couple of titles I subscribe on the beta are “special” that I had to pay for 4.99 monthly. Plus, so chapters are unlock and have to pay with coins. This is just like any other app that I had to pay for. I don’t have money for it. What about the 12-year-old? Do they have to ask their parents to do a monthly subscription just to read? And what about the coin system? Do I have to pay money to get coins to unlock chapters? At least the other apps that you have to pay explain it more than this app. Does each chapter get unlock each day? These are questions that I want to know.

I changed my rating. I had a problem with the app a few months ago where I couldn’t find certain genres, probably bc the app didn’t have enough content for those genres and I contacted the support team.. now I came back to it and I’m glad I did bc I found what I wanted. Thanks for the support and for listening to our requests. Keep it up.

Technical issues. When it comes to this app I have no complaints about the content or the currency for unlocking chapters. It has become one of my favorite apps to use. My issue is with the technical problems I have been experiencing. I’m not sure why but I frequently get the trouble loading try again screen. This is extremely annoying when binging a series. After hitting try again many, many times it will either load or the app itself will crash. There’s also an issue with screen rotation. I had to lock this function on my phone when using the app because if I accidentally shifted my phone causing the screen to rotate horizontally, after turning it back to a vertical position the app would freeze and then I would have to close and restart it to continue reading. This has been going on since I downloaded the app a few weeks ago. Today it was really giving me a headache so I checked for updates ands there was one so I thought this would solve my problem but unfortunately that’s not the case. I have troubleshooted by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning off WiFi and only using cellular data but it hasn’t worked. I hope this issue can get sorted out.

Smooth. I downloaded this app asap when I discovered it from Manga Rock. I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s not worth the money due to the app crashing and small library but regardless, I’d like to give it a 5 star because I believe it will get better. One aspect I was so pleasantly surprised was their attention to detail regarding the customer’s comfort while reading. As we all know some mangas have content that are spread through two pages (like a spread). INKR comics adjusted so that reading those kind of pages is enjoyable digitally. It got a very smooth user interface. With such passionate creators that stand for the right cause, I’m giving it a 5 for support. :)

Could be better but not worth it. Being an OG manga rock supporter this app is nothing compared. I’m still crashing after about a minute of use, even after deleting and reinstalling. I understand what their mission was with the new format and everything to support the artists but it isn’t the same. Most of the titles seem to be manhuas, which is kinda disappointing just cause the art style is so different from manga but that might just be me, plus the app just released so of course there aren’t many titles to choose from yet. Then there’s the paid monthly subscription which I don’t mind, I had the one for manga rock but now they installed the whole “coin” system like many other apps and sites are using. Honestly feels like a big cash grab to me, how can I be paying a monthly subscription and there’s still titles unavailable or “locked” unless I buy and spend coins, sure you get some with the subscription but at some point your gonna need to just buy coins. On that note I probably won’t keep the subscription past this month and will revisit the app in a few months once the titles start rolling in, but if I have to pay on top of the subscription then I’ll most likely be looking elsewhere for my reading needs.

I hate the new interface.. I do not mind paying for a subscription to read manga Shonen Jump ($1.99), Webcomics ($5.99) and other companies offer similar prices. The main problem is the interface. Its hard to focus on things. I wish the size of the boxes were smaller or adjustable. I enjoyed the old manga rock interface. No other comic apps have such large boxes to show the comic’s name with a cover. Enlarging a comic of the day or daily updates is fine. I wish the filter was more customizable allowing a more precise search. Recommendations are ok but limit finding a new variety of content.

Learning feature. The app is nice, a bit limited on the amount of licensed series in terms of manga but still pretty decent and good search features. A feature I would love to be implemented would be a learning feature kind of like for VIKI. Maybe something like holding down for x seconds would reveal the original text or a button you can toggle on or off (at least just for the speech bubble). I feel like learning to read another language through a fun medium like manga/manhua would be interesting.

The ads. The beginning of this app was fine there were not so many in your face ads and it was easy to earn credits in order to get a free pass. But now? Oh my god it’s unbearable. Not only does this app overheat my phone, I get the same single ad every time I open this app, read a new chapter, or just randomly. It’s so annoying! I hate it so much. And no I will not purchase the monthly subscription just because you’re bothering me so often. It’s better if I delete the app. The selection was truly not that great anyways.

Misleading. I’m not going to compare INKR to Manga Rock. Manga Rock was one of the best, immoral ways of reading manga. But it doesn’t hold a candle to other manga apps you need to pay for. Misleading payment. Like others have said, you pay a small subscription fee to unlock some stories but you still need to pay for others. Fair enough. But you don’t really unlock much. The first 3 chapters are unlocked and you need to buy the rest which wasn’t my impression of what that meant. I think I understand the thinking behind it. I can typically tell if I’m interested in a story, by the end of 1 chapter (assuming it’s not a webtoon). It’s nice to know if you’re interested in a story before you buy in to it. I wish they were more honest with their system rather than being so secretive. Their selection. I’m sure they’ll have more selection once they get more popular but they’re favoring webtoons. I know a lot of people love webtoons so maybe it’s not a problem for most people. Everything I read was in the format of a webtoon or was a webtoon. If you prefer black and white, read right to left manga, like I do, go to a different app. I guess all I have left to say to the former Manga Rock team is: 안녕히 계세요 さようなら 保重 Our time together was fun!

Subscription & Paywall. I was excited to see a manga app with this level of organization. It reminded me of Netflix the way it offered previews and similar reads. The only problem is— if i’m willing to pay a monthly subscription WHY would you make me pay ADDITIONAL COSTS just to finish reading the manga? Isn’t that the point of my monthly subscription? This isn’t pay to play. Not if i’m already paying monthly. It’s effed up. I’m cancelling my subscription but would love to come back once this has been revisited. Maybe next time!

Some suggestions. Hey, so I think most of us come from Manga Rock and this app is only starting and obviously it won’t have that many manga yet. I do have some suggestions that may make the app better, because it basically lost some of the things I liked the most about Manga Rock and I believe to be indispensable. 1) A category filter! It is sooo necessary, and I hated when other apps only had one there put in each manga. Mangas have many genres and that makes them great. Being able to filter more specific tastes and ongoing or complete is really great for us that want something very specific. 2) Well, i would prefer to only pay a subscription to read mostly unlimited manga. If you guys really need the coin system you could get some adds in there and each time you decide to watch an add you get a coin! That way you guys are earning money and we are getting manga “for free”. Other than that I would love to see your project flourish! It just really needs a bit more to get to where Manga Rock was.

More love to authors. Proud of the creators of Manga Rock for taking a stand and doing the right thing. Creators should be rewarded for their work. It can get a little pricey for consumers like me, but it is the right thing do. I appreciate that Inkr also tries to make it affordable in their own way via subscription, which I jave not seen in other similar apps.

Splitting manga chapters and over-charging is scummy. I have a subscription because I want to legally support my favorite manga and webtoon creators, but man do they make it hard. Sometime the series are poorly translated (probably just machine translated honestly) and the typesetting qualify is bad. I mean when you compare what they’re charging for the quality they give to other established platforms like Lezhin and Tappytoon…they need a lot of improvement. Also, the fact they split some manga chapter into multiple “chapters” when it’s really just 2-3 pages just so they can charge more is absolutely scummy. Like it’s cheaper to buy directly on bookseller, renta, etc then on their platform. This really pisses me off because people probably don’t even realize what a rip off it can be

Love it!!. I love this app. And I like how I can still read a lot if books using Inks, and it’s so easy to get some Inks, I really like this app, some app it usually needs to wait everyday and get some coins or something like that to unlock a single chapter, and for some I have to wait or do some kund of quiz or watch a vid for 30 times. I’m glad I found this app!!

Subscription is fine... coin based micro transactions are not. Certain mangas lock their chapters behind another paywall even if you are a subscriber. It’s a crappy experience to have to pay again after being a subscriber. It’s like you subscribed just for the option to buy chapters. It’s really dumb. I already submitted feedback hopefully INKR will change this model because I won’t support such poor user experience. Either increase the monthly price to properly compensate the manga artists/publishers or let us buy manga volumes individually WITHOUT a subscription.

Close to perfect but a couple problems. As someone who used Manga Rock for years, I appreciate you wanting to give back. However, I have two main issues with the current incarnation of your vision. Problem one, is that you have a paywall behind a subscription, with no real explanation. If you are going to have a subscription based viewing of most of your catalogue. Then, I myself at least, would prefer to pay a $10 monthly, if not a little more, as an option rather than be reading a series and being told that all chapters past a point have to bought with an app based currency. While WEBTOON for example has a similar system they are also a purely free service that clearly explains their system and makes it optional along with timers showing when free viewing will become available. If you are going to charge for chapter along with a subscription, especially without explaining that before someone buys a subscription, and not explain the system in full detail first. It feels like a scam and over all ruins the experience of what I know to be an amazing app and company of people working hard to do the best they can. The second problem will fix itself in time, as it is nearly the extremely limited current catalog. When compared to mangarock at least.

It’s pretty good. I’ve been here when manga rock came out and I was also in the beta for INKR and I was able to see the progress and hard work the crew has put into this app and I know that finding new books to put into the app must’ve been hard with the pandemic but I myself am satisfied with the selection that’s given. Edit: I’ve been using it more the the viewer that you guys developed is godly

I Miss MangaRock. I was a subscriber to MangaRock which I was ok paying because I had over 1,000 or so manga in my favorites. I was disappointed that they went with a different name and style of operating. Once they finally were Apple approved I downloaded them. I decided to subscribe again pretty much the same price as MangaRock. But I was happy for only a week or so with the new App. I still was getting small ads and being told I didn’t have enough ink to keep reading. So i tried to more ink which is odd if I already am being charged a monthly fee I shouldn’t have to pay for more. I even reached out to their support team and got no where just automatic responsive emails and not live person. I even can’t restore my subscription because it keeps saying not available. Don’t know what they did or who they went with for designing this but OMG why get rid of something that worked to this headache. -__-

INKR comics has some problems. It was working fine until just recently and want to try going it just shows the screens are blank and then we did we did for the updates from the notifications to pop up and it’s still just loading and loading and loading. Can you please fix this bugs

It was good then the update happened. I did not mind buying coins and stuff to read but now it has gotten way more expensive! It used to be only 5 coins to read certain chapter but it has been bumped up to 16 and that is very ridiculous. I have the monthly subscription. I pay every month to be able to read without ads but I also want it to include not having to spend so much money on coins. I’m already paying monthly. Why can’t that be enough.

Loved Manga Rock but this needs work. I really appreciate what you guys did in order to give back to the creators and have a safe viewing platform but to have a paid subscription and have to buy the app currency on top of that is a bit much. I personally would prefer to pay more of a monthly subscription without having to use extra app currency. I think more people will get on that faster than having to buy coins.

Not worth the money. This app has a limited library mostly consisting of titles that only have a few chapters and it has an utter lack of basic features such as tag filtering (you can search for 1 tag, but not two, meaning I’m screwed if I’m looking for, say, romance and action, and the ability to filter out tags is also standard on most competing sites). There is absolutely no reason this app should ask for a 5 dollar a month subscription. I don’t mind paying for subscriptions if it’s higher quality than the free alternatives, and that’s a pretty low bar. Unfortunately, this app fails to clear it.

New Manhuas!. This app could be useful if they added Comics that other comic apps don’t already have.. why would I bother reading popular comics on this app when other apps like Webcomic and MangaToon is like 200+ chapters ahead at least translates comics that they wouldn’t have then I don’t mind spending money but so far this app is just not useful for me they have nothing that I haven’t read on other apps already so far Iv only read about 2 comics that isn’t on other apps!!

Disappointing.. Why have it be a subscription service if you’re just gunna make people buy more chapters? I was looking for an app that allows me to read my favorite mangas from kodansha on my phone but it’s just disappointing that all the mangas I am currently reading I can’t continue on my phone because I have to buy those chapter even after paying for a subscription. This app would be so much better if you just unlocked all the chapters after getting a subscription. Other than that the app is beautiful and well made.

Not a fan. I was frustrated when I found out they were shutting down mangarock and then found out the new app wouldn’t be available for the software version of my iPad (I have an older iPad and it won’t update to the software needed for the app). So now if I want to read I have to read it on my iPhone. So I have to strain my eyes to read manga. Next is the lack of titles. Mangarock had a ton more titles. This new app is extremely limited. After that I found out I had to have a monthly subscription in order to finish reading chapters of manga. Now what causes me to write this review is finding out that, even though I’m spending money to have a monthly subscription that now I need to spend EVEN MORE money in order to ‘unlock’ other chapters. Mangarock was my go to manga app. Now I don’t have one. They’ve horribly disappointed me with their new app. Can we get mangarock back?

Paywall on top of subscription???. Coming from Manga Rock to this is absolutely painful. The app itself is phenomenal, and beautifully done! The collection isn’t bad either, but the outrage cost to read is beyond ridiculous and the system for it isn’t much better. You buy gold coins in order trade it into “Inkr” which basically from my best understanding, turns into time?? The best I can compare it to is a parking meter for manga. They do have a subscription based option, but it seems ludicrous that you subscribe only to be given extra “inkr . To add fuel to the fire, there almost no explanation to what Inkr is used for, or why it’s important to have it. Also, one would think that subscribing to this the monthly option would remove adds, NOPE! Their online help states in bold letters WITH ADDS. Also, it tells you in the online form (Not the App) that Inkr is used to unlock exclusive chapters, but they expire in 30 days from the time of receiving them. All and all, the biggest complaint I have is the lack of transparency of the purchase system and how the system is a ripoff. You subscribe just to have to use the reward from the subscription to read more on the app?? If they updated to reading method to match that of Manga Rock, this could very easily be a 5 star app. But until then, it’s almost not worth the hassle.

Good but doesn’t stand out.... I like how smooth the interface is but I don’t like the coin payment system. The only reason why I like mangarock was because the payment was simple and permanent. It was different from other apps that uses the coin system. I don’t see how app know stands out from other apps I use. Design wise, it was really good and I can see myself getting hooked up. It is far better than any I’ve used. I just don’t like how the payment system works.

Extremely bad and feeling cheated. I’ve used their old Manga Rock app since 2015 and have bought the one-time purchase of $5.99. When they said they’re moving to a new app, they mentioned that old users of Manga Rock can transfer their account to the new app which was obviously a fat lie. My account has been removed from their database and even with proven receipts of the purchase, they simply said that there’s literally nothing they can do as my Manga Rock subscription has been cancelled and I have not been charged since the cancellation (what a joke, it’s a one-time purchase and not even a subscription in the first place, everything that was said by them proved that they don’t even know what they’re doing). Don’t support this app man. What a waste of time and money.

Pay wall. I get to read maybe 10-15 chapters maybe 20 chapters if I’m lucky I’ve been reading manga for a long time the best app I found was manga rock then it got closed down/removed then I used the same company/groups app called manga rocks pro was an even better experience might take a bit for chapters to be updated and release but was free and optional currency to by and spend in app feature the typical ones removes ads etc. but this was made by the same group who just broke my heart as they started to put their already limited catalog of mangas behind pay walls I wouldn’t mind if I pay once remove ads for life of the app but it’s based on a subscription that isn’t well prices considering the some chapters are still behind a pay wall even after paying a subscription to read the chapters it’s a confusing system and it doesn’t explain how it works does older chapters become free after a while or does it stay behind the pay wall it breaks my heart to see the group who made such wonderful apps disappear and become greedy monsters it’s hard to find good manga reading apps that don’t require a payment with any chapters if not limited chapters it’s something they need to fix or at least adjust to make more consumer friendly

Inkr and Manga rock. With manga rock it was just an add on one page. But now with this new app called inkr? you are locking the chapters!!?? Even if the chapters that have already been read and translated in the past you will lock that chapter? the main purpose people of all ages came to manga rock is so they can read manga while with that dumb add and not pay real money as they read because their already supporting you with that add. I get how your trying to profit but putting up pay walls on chapters and trying to make that the norm does not fly.

Developers please look here. Hi, I'm Michael I am a long time user of manga rock (when it existed) and I want to first say that I couldn't be happier that this app is here! But... I wanted to know when all of the manga from manga rock would be added (I almost finished beelzebub) So, if you could provide some more info on the dates of the previous comics, it would be awesome! Also I love, and am very thankful for all the hard work you all put in to entertain us, when you don't really get much in return. Thanks! -Michael A forever Otaku, and supporter for this hardworking company.

Functional, But Concerning Practices. In general, Inkr’s speed when navigating the app and loading content has improved markedly. However, there are two big concerns I’ve had with the app: Battery/Phone Temp: Most of the time while reading, the app will rapidly consume battery (2-3% a chapter on iPhone 14, worse on iPhone 12) and the phone will start overheating until the app is closed. This has persisted since at least December and makes me concerned about memory leaks or other unknown background processes. Background Ads: INKR Extra promises no ads, yet I have caught the app playing ads in the background while opening chapters on several occasions. Easy to catch when using headphones or when my phone is not silenced because I’ll suddenly hear cheerful music playing unexpectedly. Why is this happening?

Not perfect, but it’s getting better.. I really like that the developers are trying to make a platform that supports the people who actually create the Manga/comics and also the translation teams. The content is a bit limited at the moment but there’s new arrivals all the time. App is fairly easy to navigate although, I’d like to see more ways to search for certain genres and maybe a way to request if the INKR devs could get new titles to be added to the app. Biggest problems that I can see that need to be overcome are getting more titles into the app and quicker updates on new chapters. One of the manga I was reading hasn’t seen a new chapter in about a month, which wouldn’t be a problem if this was free but I’m paying a subscription and an in-app currency.

It’s okay I guess. I remember using manga rock and it was a great app and today, I just found out about INKR comics. I browsed thought the app and the app is alright, but I still don’t understand why I would have to pay for some of these chapters. For example when I saw Apotheosis, I noticed that after chapter season 1 episode 80, you would have to pay to unlock it which I think is ridiculous. I could go on some other many site and unlock all those chapters for free. Also, it’s not like any different from other apps like MangaMan or manga reading websites. The only difference is that you need to pay to read it. So in all, I give it 2 stars.

One of the better apps. I call foul on completing the tasks to get free ink but needing to watch ads anyway to claim the reward. It should be one OR the other. I'll read the 5 chapters, maybe even more then get an ad shoved in my face to collect the ink. Why read it then? Counter productive. I just skim them to the bottom now so the comic doesn't even get the interest from me. Aside from that it's not a terrible app. One of the better ones in terms of content, translation and cost of the ink. I prefer it to Manta, Tapas and Bilibili. MangaToons interface and point/reward system is better though.

good but eh. So i was in the beta and saw barely anything in at the time and i expected it to be released when it had more stuff but came out now and i got the app of course. However i’m a bit disappointed mainly with the fact i must pay to read. I understand the reasoning towards it but wouldn’t it be nice if there were a way for us to earn these coins rather than having to spend? I know an app called webcomics and you can simply earn coins by doing daily check ins but here i can’t seem to do that and must pay. And don’t get me wrong the titles aren’t horrible but i was only mainly interested in one and found out that i have to pay for it now which can disappoint people who may not have much money or did not want to spend money on an app. I know they could just go to a pirate website but they may want to stay safe so go with this. I love the visuals but the manga and manhwa aren’t the best and the coin thing is also not the best. If so it would be a great idea (in my opinion) if you were to add a feature where people can earn a certain amount of coins each day if they log in every day it would be nice and allow people who can’t spend money a chance to read everything just an idea tho :)

One major gripe. *update* I am removing another star and taking it down to a three. The app constantly makes my phone hot and drains my battery extremely quickly now. I gave them multiple updates to see if that would improve but it has not. Don’t get me wrong. I mostly love the app. I love being able to pay a small subscription and get so much to read. Even if the stuff I’m able to read seems to keep getting smaller. But my main problem with the app is that even if you download chapters to read offline yo aren’t able to. Everytime I take a trip I download a few series to read on the plane and such. The app tells me that it can’t load them and it can’t connect to the internet! What’s the point of downloading to read offline if I have to be online to “load” downloaded chapters?!

The good ol’ days. So this is what Manga Rock turned into. I remembered when Manga Fox turned into Manga Rock and all that was the name, color and logo changed so it’s sad to see it gone for good. I tried to give this app a try but i can, more than half of the manga I was reading a few years ago isn’t even on this app and not to mention I have to pay to read chapters which wouldn’t be a problem if I had to pay once every 3 months or so. You don’t even get a 1 week free trial. If Manga Rock just simply said you have to pay once every month or 3, I’m pretty sure it would’ve been a better outcome than this. Well I guess I’m going back to reading off my laptop again because I’m not going to pay for an app that’s basically telling you to pay every few days and it don’t have the manga that it once did. This is a huge step back and I’m a bit disappointed😢😢

Stories previously free with INKR extra quite literally overnight and with no warning cease to be. As I said in the title, I have INKR extra and have had to stop reading multiple works 4 and 5 hunter chapters in because suddenly they’re asking you to pay coins for every chapter. There’s never any warning and it seems completely pointless to have INKR extra if all of the good works you get to read as a benefit suddenly aren’t anymore. I pay for extra because it’s cheaper to read and there’s tons of good works included but what’s the point in continuing to use the app if all of them are going to stop being free without any warning? That said they do offer free ink but the exchange rate to turn ink into coins is 1000ink for 5 coins. It’s absolutely ridiculous how long it takes to gather ink just for five measly coins. Despite these things the reading selection is vast and they’re mostly all quality reads. Just wish they would change the things mentioned above.

It’s pretty good so far and I hope to see it grow. I also speak as an OG from Manga Rock as well and I’m also glad to see you come back after so long. I actually see some titles that I’ve read on other apps and would actually prefer the monthly subscription instead of having to keep paying for each chapter to come and then rinse and repeat. I understand that it’s just the beginning so of course there might some issues. Particularly the crashing. I saw that you stated you fixed it for some users, but unfortunately it’s still crashing for me and it also takes a bit for scrolling to respond but other than that the overall interface is nice. I really look forward to much more in the future.

Poor execution. Great ideas with the ink to read for “free” and a reasonable subscription price and offering. If it worked. The app slows, freezes and crashes fairly often (iPad pro on latest update), sometimes less than a minute after fully rebooting the iPad and launching the app. Many systems are incomplete or non functional like “sales”. The tagline is “100% off” but that just means you can temporarily read the comic, not add those chapters to read later when you have time. On the contrary, 99% off means you can get all the chapters for the comic, permanently, for free or near to it. Is it sad when I want the sales to be LESS discounted? Other failures are simple technical things like chapter downloads for later or offline reading hanging very frequently and requiring staring at the download bars or the ipad will shutoff the screen to save battery. This isn’t hard for the dev to circumvent, my ebook reader does it. On a content note, many titles are dropped but still heavily recommended or promoted. 5 times now I have received a notification or list of recommended titles with a comic marked as “complete” with 20 chapters when the manhua has over 400. Other popular titles are marked as “ongoing” but have received 5 chapters in the last 6 months. Once again, the manhua has hundreds not translated on the INKR app but a quick google and there they are in English.

You have to pay to read newer chapters!. Not really 5 stars at all!!! I’ll stick with my actually free online mangas! As a fan of Manga Rock this app is dope and the quality is good like many websites. But you have to pay to progress! Not pay to go back and re read. In my opinion it’s not worth it for me, others will pay and that’s fine. I personally wouldn’t. A lot of the mangas I read are way ahead in chapters compared to this INKR Comics App. Guessing because it’s fairly new...... but I personally deleted this app as soon as I opened it up for less than 5 minutes of checking it out. Why pay for something you get for free am I right?

It’s not manga rock. However it also isn’t bad. Honestly I would rate this higher if I wasn’t comparing it to manga rock. Manga rock was my all time favorite app to read manga on and it really hurt to see it go. I know why they needed to and I understand that however this app is not similar to manga rock at all. If you are coming from manga rock and are expecting a similar experience I would say stop. Treat it like a different application all together. I feel like the problem they are going to face is that practically everything needs INKR extra and there are already so many other applications that do the same thing but have more . Things like tapas have very similar options and there are so many other apps like WEBTOON sand manga reader where you can get most things for free. This application isn’t bad but I do feel like it just doesn’t match up to the manga rock I know and loved.

Great App is Ruined By Greedy Prices. I loved this app, it’s no manga rock but it’s close enough that it fills the whole manga rock left behind. What’s crazy is I have the premium subscription to this app and I still have to pay to read some chapters, what am I even paying for? The prices are ridiculous too, for roughly 40 chapters it cost 100$ in their currency, despite me also being subscribed to premium. Now I read most of my manga elsewhere and when I do read them on here I change to something free when I hit a blockade.

Okay (o_o). Don’t get me wrong, it’s really nice, but as someone who was able to enjoy Manga Rock, it was extremely disappointing. The entire reason why I was obsessed with using Manga Rock was because it was free, easy to use, and had a large variety of manga to read. I like how this suggests manga similar to the one that you’re reading and how the pages are read vertically, but all of the rest of what I was expecting had basically disappeared. This is understandable, but once again, from the point of view of someone using this app that had used Manga Rock, it was disappointing. I like the layout, but I most likely will not be using this and will just switch to other apps and websites :D) I wish you all the best and thank you for developing Manga Rock, which was a media that had helped to influence the person I am today by providing me with very accessible manga. ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ

We shall see. Loved the old app but am happy they have moved to a design that can support manga artists. In saying that while I understand and support the idea...I will have to check back on the app in a few months as it hardly has anything on it. Currently found a lot of web comics (which I already read) and more adult comics I’m not interested in reading. Hopefully more classic Shoujo manga appears!!

Not really impressed with it, I’m sorry.. I spent the $7.99 monthly so I could read manga without ads and to support the app creators ... However, there are still ads, and the manga I’m reading hasn’t been updated in a long time, even though on other platforms, it has many more chapters. Whilst the quality of the manga, at least the one I’m reading (Noragami), is phenomenal, it doesn’t get updated at all? I’m a little confused, and I’ve tried to find information on it through the app, but I can’t. I also can’t find why I’m still getting ads despite paying for premium. Since INKR came out and added To Your Eternity, there have been 94 chapters. Months have gone by, and no new ones have been added despite the manga being at well over 100 chapters. It’s quite disappointing, and I plan to cancel my subscription. $7.99 is not worth it for what the app holds, I’m afraid. I’m really sorry, guys. I’m sure you’re doing your absolute best, and that’s admirable. But $7.99 a month is a bit unfair considering I can get more manga that updates regularly on Shounen Jump for $2.99 monthly. Hopefully things will change eventually..!

Why change apps. The old manga rock was way better although the graphics on this app is better then manga rock, but manga rock has better manga and better reading ways and u can also download manga in manga rock so u can read off line but u can’t do that with this new app so manga rock is much better then this new app

MR to INKR. In terms of content this is no where near their original app manga rock (MR), but if you love webtoons this is definitely the place to be. In terms of the actual app it’s very well thought out and designed (better than MR in some ways). Personally I don’t like the app because it’s too webtoon based but I can’t give a bad review or rating because of the effort, hard work, and morals of the company. Goodluck INKR team P.S. I think this might be your first review (not rating)

Awesome. Best manga software. Nice design and thought out structure. Only one issue is there a way to transfer data from mange rock to inkr

Totally not worth it. Lack of contents, greedy price.

Miss the old Mangarock. The new app is full of boring contents and weird stuffs.

Fair Service. I think it’s wonderful how I can still read for free with the INKR Extra Passes by completing the available challenges. And the challenges also give some less popular texts more exposure. Considering the different policy (especially in terms of sourcing and publishing) between MR and this new platform INKR, I think it’s a job well done! It’s expected that since it’s still quite a young app the selection isn’t as vast as MR which only had a large library since it had been operating for 7 years(?) at the point of closure. It’s also understandable that some Japanese manga would also be unavailable due to legal issues despite everyone else comparing this app to MR but I think there is still a good range of comics, manhua, manhwa and manga. So, good job guys :) The only thing I would like to suggest though is that ‘subscribed’ and ‘read later’ libraries, etc., can be sorted alphabetically as well rather than just: ‘last read’, ‘last updated’, and ‘last added’.

Nice. I like it, it supports creators of the manga we read making it easier to continue manga that would most likely be dropped because of funding. Another great thing is that it cleans up older manga like battle through the heavens that has a bad quality picture on most websites. The only thing I feel it needs is a way to comment on each chapter like most websites do, but being relatively new it will have room for improvement and refining.

Good but still needs work.. 1) The INKR app and site still have a rather small selection of manga. INKR is increasing its library almost weekly but it still has a long way to go. Despite this it does have a lot of major titles and I’m assuming as the site grows more studios will be comfortable with working with them. 2) the app from my experience is one of the best at least compared to ones like mangareader and other illegal manga apps. The INKR app is smooth and usually very easy to use. It may very rarely suffer a crash or occasionally stutter a bit but other wise it has to be one of the best on the market. 3) it’s legal and is working with these manga studios. A lot of small manga artists are badly effected by illegal sites and I think what INKR has done has allowed for the best of both words. It allows access to manga for free while still encouraging and financing the mangas we love. Overall currently if u want manga it might not have the biggest selection but it does have one of if not the best apps and is legal. Plus it’s legal and helps my favourite creators so they can continue to produce manga. For that I give it 5 stars.

Disappointed. They want 8 dollars for a subscription with hardly any library. Stick with SJ

I understand different between Manga Rock and Mr Comic now. Manga rock used to be a powerful and amazing app with just one payment $10 in my region i can use premium service forever with no ads, infinite reading and downloading. No problem. But the new app mr comic is making significantly changes. Sry but since manga rock is no longer support I changed too. I found out that PC reading for free is much more easier to control without paying. So i love reading on pc now. Now then back to the iphone app manga reading. I'm just curious how the new app is like. The one thing i already not happy is you pay $7.99 only get some premium in 1 month only. Not infinite like manga rock anymore. Oh well, i'm not planning to read comic on small screen on mobile device anymore. Well this is it. Goodbye manga rock app. I'm heading for pc.

Deceptive practice. Been an IOS app, I’ve never had a single service that was subscription based and had external payment systems. I am not sure if this is against IOS policy or not. They charge us ongoing, no warnings no receipts of payment no nothing. Would give 0 stars for this alone if I could.

Where is all content ?. Where is full access? Manga rock had Atleast 200 chapters and way more content

Little Selection and Possible Improvent. Although, it’s new, it’s expected to have a small selection of manga. However, it still isn’t worth paying for the select few. Since it has a few manga to choose from, I wouldn’t see myself constantly going back to the app since other manga apps offer more for cheaper. It also has nothing that appeals to me (the reader) than a nice overlay with smooth animations. Hopefully in the near future, I will go back to the app and see a wide range of manga to read and possibly consider paying for. One thing that may change my perspective on choosing this app than another, is if it offers unique options and features that others don’t. For example: Adding a fan comics selection (engaging with readers), Adding a more detailed search (personalised searching), adding more options like making a favourite manga list seen on their profile, having a more custom and personalised profile (Attaching and getting loyalty to the app), comments to engage with one another and generally adding more of a community and social aspect (like seeing other peoples profiles, how much they have read what they have read etc... ) to it since a lot of people like hearing opinions about the next chapter and want to discuss it with others. Like with Manga rock I did like the idea you can send in your own manga playlist of choices so others could see, however, adding these features will help capture loyal readers. Soooooo anyway a 4/5 for now.

Manga rock was 100x better then this.. This app doesn’t have all the mangas that manga rock has and what’s worse is $8 isn’t even worth the price for a mouthy due to lack of content and ads. Guess I have to find another manga app this. You disappoint me.

Are you kidding me??. Manga rock was so good because you didn’t have to pay money and it had a great selection of mangas but this app is an actual scam with the selection not being great, it’s even worst than the illegal websites i use and you have to pay to read now???

Bruh. Can’t even read the mangas without paying monthly

Love the idea. I love the idea of a subscription based comic reader as someone who reads a whole bunch of comics. The Viz app is another great option for subscription based manga reader but it has a limited and small collection of manga, so i would love to see this grow to have more titles and i would happily subscribe !!! plus the design of this app is super sleek and easy to navigate and great for reading

Pay To Get The Ending. So I decided to try out the app but was very disappointed. No comics are free. You have to sign up for the subscription to be able to read the entire series of something. I miss manga rock.

From Riches to Rags.. Considering the amazing origins of the creators of this App, I’m genuinely disappointed with the end result. This is so much worse then your average “pay to read per chapter” situation that most websites use to support the artists, but instead uses a useless wide reaching subscription service to read pretty much anything on their app. So instead of paying to read exactly what you want, when you want it, you’re stuck paying to read everything, including stuff you don’t or never will read. It’s straight dumb, and the creators of the app should be ashamed calling this this the future of reading manga.

Work on reaction time. Every time I’m scrolling there’s a bit of a lag so the pages don’t scroll smoothly! Plz work on this!!!

From Manga Rock to Utter Garbage. Believe my title sums up what I wanna say but in case you don’t understand. You went from Manga Rock and having 1000+ more manga. As well as more heavy hitters then you do in this new hot garbage. From a fan of your old app. This one is does have nice new features but lacks in what people actually want. Aka Content.

Worth trying. At first I thought this was a major step down from manga rock in the beta. Now that it’s full release there are actually quite a few good titles on here, although some aren’t fully updated. I must say that the selling point of this app is the UI, my favorite reader from any manga app. I wish the subscription was a little cheaper but at overall a really good app

Not bad!. As a beta tester there was never much content to read but as I was transferred over to the finished app I was very surprised to see how much and how quickly new manga/manwha/manhua was available. Thank you developers for all of your hard work🥳🥳

Why did I expect a webtoon style of app?. That’s it. That’s the review

Disappointed. This app is not at all as good as the previous iterations. None of the manga that I am currently reading (that most basic sites have) are available here. I was hoping to use this app to replace the other ones that is not longer available in the App Store but it’s not worth it. Please bring back the previous (Manga Rock) app!!

MangaRock Reader View. Honestly. I could care less if I need to pay or not. I used MangaRock simply because it was the best viewer/reader on the platform. Your app is great and fancy but the customization that is lost in the view is horrible. For example horizontal endless scroll with consistent zoom and intuitive tap to zoom into panels is a huge loss on your app. One of the easiest and fastest way to view on a larger screen iPhone. Disappointing.

Trash. Literal trash. Any good reviews are fake.

Meh. It’s your typical comic app. They cleaned it up a bit from beta but it’s still sucks. They are putting up chapters to series that have already 100 hundreds of chapters translated. Only difference is this suppose to be legit. Like legal but I mean if you like being hundreds of chapters behind go right ahead

Bring back the good days. I miss the old illegal you, the you who didn’t have morals. Now we are stuck with second rate garbage apps.

Absolutely Ridiculous. I’ve been following the progress of INKR ever since manga rock shut down. I tested several of the beta versions, and was hopeful. But now the app charges a $7 monthly subscription, which will still only cover a small chunk of many series. Want to read Attack On Titan? That’ll be $140 on top of your $7 subscription. That’s right, almost $150 for one series. That is absolutely ridiculous considering it’s all digital. My advice? Get the Shonen app (which is only $2 a month, for everything), and read the rest of your manga online or from a library. Thank goodness I still have a Manga Rock backlog on my old phone.

Super upset. To go from manga rock to this is one thing. But I am lying 7$ a month for this, and now suddenly out of nowhere almost every manga is half blocked off so even with the subscription I have so little access to manga without spending ALOT more money. It wasn’t like this days ago pls fix it, it’s horrible.

Give me back my money.. You guys peddle the full version of mangarock and then when I buy it you just up and shut down everything. Thanks for the free garbage stickers you crooks...give back the money to people who bought for the full version of mangarock since you completely terminated it after you had a little change in mortality in regards to content creators. And your app ink whatever is garbage.

Proud of the team. I admit I was sad that Manga Rock was closed but I understood your reason and I stand behind you because I think that’s the right to do. Sadly, for now, I don’t there is enough « mainstream » series that I like and was reading during my time with MR (Berzerk, Haikyuu, Wotakoi...) to pay the extra. But I’m aware that it might not be possible to have the same library as before but as your library expands with more popular/ interesting series, I will give you my money! Keep it up guys! Love the design of the app btw

No Popular Content. There are no mainstream or popular content that I have found or was on the old MangaRock app

Monthly pay. Hey beta user here and old manga rock user I understand why you changed and much power to you but the monthly pay makes it a major turn off and a soon as people see/realize you can’t read all of it they are gonna just move on to illegal websites or other apps you should have something like daily pass that webtoon has or pay coins for the 3 most recent published chapters

Double Page View. I have not subscribed, but looking at the titles I can read and the quality of the scans, I was almost ready. However, I am reluctant to subscribe until we get a 2-page view in the reader. Maybe I’m missing it somewhere in the settings, but I currently have not been able to find a way to read in landscape mode with 2 pages showing at a time. Please add this and I’ll be a happy subscriber!

Needs more mainstream content. There are a handful of series I read, none are available. Others are complaining about needing to pay, I think that the cost is fine if there is content that’s worth it. App works well enough and it’s nice that I can loving with my MR account. Just wish I could continue on from where I left off.

!!!. I really miss the old manga rock where everything was free and there was a lot more content. However the app runs really well and it’s still a good place to read manga!

Greedy. Yeah, just looking to make cash for yourselves

Greed. Resubscribed to the app to read attack on titan then found out i have to buy coins to read more chapters in order for me to read all the chapters I would have to pay 150$+ f**k that I would rather buy physical for that price

I really want to give this a better review. The apps amazing, the UI is great, the selection is coming; it’s still a bit a ways away from Manga Rock but you can see the effort and progress they’re putting in. More and more series are being added that I recognize from manga rock and I really support the intent of giving the authors their due. However. The paid subscription is a problem, it doesn’t even give you full access to the content on this app, some make you pay to read them at all and others will be have the newest few chapters locked unless paid for; subscription or not. They offer discounts for those with the subscription but even that’s not great because it’s only if you’re unlocking multiple chapters, not if you’re trying to read anything week after week. Really makes me feel like there’s no point in the subscription, and no one is going to want to constantly pay for each chapter if they can just go to a website and read it free. The subscription is a great idea, just wish it was a bit more like shonen jump where it gives you full access to everything on the site, no more paywalls after the fact and no desire to go somewhere else to get it free.

It sucks...it’s a scam...there are better apps out there. Manga rock was so much better. I can’t even open the new app at all. My iPhone won’t verify it. It sucks will look else where RIP MangaRock

Why?. Why can't I snyc my inkr for the play store and Apple. Do I have to pay twice for something I already paid for?

Has great potential to be the leading library for manga and webtoons. So far very limited title mangas on the library, most of it are manhwa and some chinese web comics. The price is very decent as well (I just hope that the illustrators and authors get their share and help with the sales in Japan.). The UI is very smooth and clean and the user experience is also not too bad. Good job to the devs of this app. I definitely want to see more titles and how this app will improve over the years.

We just gotta accept we’ll never get an app like manga rock again 😔. Most of the manga on here is random garbage that no one reads and on top of that they have the audacity to ask a monthly payment from us to read chapters from a series thats not even up to date on this app. Just go to mangadex on safari or something.

Nothing more than a money grab. Nothing more than a money grab

Performance issues. Using app on iPhone 14 Pro. Extensive battery drain and overheating. I have no clue why an app like this can use so many resources that it causes the battery to drain so quick

Upset at Mangarock. This app use to be called MangaRock where you had access to thousands of amazing titles and it was one of the best developed apps for manga. Granted that app crashed sometime and had a few bugs. It was good enough that I paid for it. But now they switched to this new app with horrible titles and a pay per view system. Not happy with the direction you developers are going.

Great app with a small annoyance. Great app with smooth scrolling which makes the reading experience so much enjoyable! I missed reading from Manga Rock, now the team made a better app. I do have an issue with ads popping up despite being a subscribed user, which is annoying. EDIT: I give 1 star because it seems like the subscription doesn’t do anything. You have to use coins in order to unlock new chapters instead of automatically being able to read the entire series, ads still popup despite paying for the service.

Not many reading options. Once you have a bigger selection of manga I will actually consider buying INKR and actually using the app otherwise…..

So glad you are back. I’m so glad you guys are back. Your platform is one of the best out there. I love this app. Keep doing what you guys are doing!

Beautifully designed! Just lacks content!. Hands down the best designed app for manga. I’d totally pay if it had more content. Huge Isekai reader and there’s only three to choose from. I personally can’t justify it. Chicken or the egg right? No content no pay, no pay no $$ to get more content.

Loading…. Some loading issues? I would click on some titles and they’ll never load up… Hopefully this will get fixed 🥲

Can’t claim the rewards. I’ve been trying to claim my rewards but I can’t I’ve restarted my phone and did what the help center said to but it didn’t work. I’m not sure what to do now.

Very Good App for Manga Reading. Very Nice App, easy to manage everything I’m reading. Only problem I have with it is there’s not enough manga to read

Slow and glitchy. So I don’t hate the app I’m not gonna pay for anything I really came for a couple of free books but this app makes everything slow and glitchy for a minute. The app is always slow and glitchy and when you try to exit it is slow and glitchy for a second. Idk what’s going on but it would be great to be fixed

Love it!!!. INKR has several different options for reading on their app, but my favorite is the monthly $5 subscription because it allows access to so many mangas, webtoons, manwhas, and more! You can also earn ink for free or purchase coins. Overall, I appreciate this alternative to MangaRock 😊

Latest update. I like the process of the app, I wish there was a genre and latest update section that we could click on. But overall it’s good as an app in process.

Obnoxious full page ads. Will interrupt you in the middle of reading a chapter with full screen ads that have no exit button and force you to watch them. Instant 1 star and uninstall from me. Didn't expect much from people that made their money on stolen content with their last app, but still somehow let me down even more.

Good but still new. Needs more titles I do understand that it’s a fairly recent app, I’m actually genuinely happy that this app came out and I can read my favorites again, needs more; but with time I’m sure it’ll have more than enough

Manga rock forever. I, like many of the people who have left reviews, have been users of manga rock for years. I was disappointed when I found out that it was shutting down and still am. I miss reading all my favorite mangas but sadly this app does not cut it. It’s terrible. Having a paywall to read further into a series is awful. You guys were doing great with manga rock but this is now awful. Looks like I have to leave behind my manga forever, I just can’t bring myself to like this app. Please make it better or just take it down.

Light at the end of the tunnel. Hi there, I’m a mangarock lover. Finding manga since mangarock closed down has been hard. So I’m placing a bid here and now for this app to grow as big as if not bigger then mangarock. I will always be wait for you.

Thumbs Down. The subscription really doesn't do anything. You have to buy a lot of chapters with coins even with the subscription. Right now it's not worth the subscription if it doesn't give you coins each month. Though you should need to buy something when on a subscription. Needs work.

Constantly interrupts music. Constantly stops the music player even no no other audio is playing. It would be one thing if it were playing audio, but it just stops your music repeatedly and does not even play a sound. It’s infuriating having to hit play every thirty seconds or so...

Kept with it!!. So excited that the transition from testing has gotten to this exciting moment!!!

Release date. Hey guys I like what inkr does there are so many comics I can read so I have a question when is manga rock or rather you changed its name to Mr comics release date cause I can’t wait any longer manga rock had all the manga in there like mangazone can’t wait for it to hit the App Store. Keep up the good work

Great looking interface, keeps crashing.. It was fine this morning, but as of this afternoon I can’t go 30 seconds without a crash.

Miss the titles from beta. When I did The beta for INKR they had some really good titles that I was reading and enjoyed but once they fully released those titles were gone and I’ve been keeping my eye out for those titles and have yet to see a single title that I read on beta on the app. T.T they were so good too.

This app is horrible. This app is so bad. They tell you have to pay $4.99 a month for the Inkr Extra subscription to read the manga, which is fair in my opinion. I was under the assumption that with the subscription service, you can read all the manga on the app. but NO. You pay $4.99 a month to get an 11% DISCOUNT on COINS to BUY the manga. Total rip-off don’t use

Disappointing. App was once my go to but due to technical issues I’m trying to find something better. I got the membership to make reading easier and less of a hassle but it’s still requiring me to rent a chapter for 24 hours. I don’t want to be limited on enjoyment.

No. Definitely not as good as Manga Rock. The UI looks great and it runs smooth but there’s nothing to read. Lots of LGBT webtoons and more love stories than there are action/ mystery. The selection isn’t there and I’m not interested in most of the selection give. There is a subscription you have to buy in order to finish some of the webtoons/manga and whatever else they got.

Bad. Not worth downloading. I had the beta, it didn’t say anything about charging once it launched and there’s no way to earn coins. Even lezhin lets you earn coins.... not worth your time or money, titles aren’t good enough to pay for. I guess they have cherry blossoms after winter but so does literally every other comic platform. I mean these titles are even trying to push straight up Disney stories😒 that’s just kinda cringe. Ultimately disappointing. rip mangarock, the end of an era.

Favorites transfer?. Just here to find out of there’s a way to transfer our favorite from manga rock, I have a I was reading on it and don’t want to re add them one by one

You are better off reading on mobile sites. Per the title, you are better off reading using some site in safari than using this app. Manga selection is limited and there is a paywall to continue reading certain chapters/mangas. That is ridiculous compared to what the old MangaRock app offered and had. Sure this new app is sleeker in design and runs better (no crashing, stuttering, etc) but you can tell the developers behind the app also became more greedy with them locking features/mangas behind subscriptions. If you have trouble finding a manga site to read on Safari, check /r/manga on reddit.

Disgustingly Useless. Even when you pay for a subscription, you are forced to completely inane activities to earn “ink” to basically purchase the rights to read chapters of manga they have. A hollow, soulless replica of the once great manga rock. Will never be using , and i urge others to do the same

Nice way to read mangas and webtoons.. I don’t normally like webtoons and manhuas because of the constant scrolling you have to do to read them. But the app lets me tap to read further which helps a lot.

Phone gets hot. INKR seems to have expanded a lot lately. I love the content. BUT, for the past couple months, my phone gets really hot when I’m using the app. The battery drains quickly, as well. I can only read for maybe 20 minutes before my phone gets too hot and I have to close the app. One last issue is that sometimes chapters don’t load properly.

Ignore the negative reviews. The company behind manga rock switched their services to a pay model in order to support manga developers and hopefully begin to curate more content. Everybody is mad you have to pay for licensed content now but that is simply how it works if you want to create a legal, well supported ecosystem of manga.

Nearly perfect.. The only feature I would like to see is the ability to login to inkr extra on computers. Because I tried to log in on my laptop, and it was a no-go. So if that eventually comes to the inkr website, this service would be perfect for me.

Great manga app!!. From the creators of what used to be manga rock is this amazing new reader app that sources things legally and i couldn't be more proud of that development! One thing i would love to see in the future is sorting by type (ie manga vs manwha vs webtoon style) and more mainstream titles if possible like yona of the dawn or skip beat

This app just keeps getting better. Everything I had qualms with is now updated or fixed and best of all new attack on titan chapters every 3 days

Pay for a subscription but it doesn’t unlock everything. I joined the 7-day trial. Most of these comics are only unlocked up to a certain point, like 95%. Have to spend more money to unlock the rest. If I’m already paying for a subscription, I expect an all access pass to every chapter. I think I’ll just stick to MANTA comics and TAPAS.

INKR on Mobile Data. I have T-Mobile service but I can’t read or download anything on data. It would be nice if this could be fixed otherwise the app is good.

Unbelievable money grabbing. Can’t believe you really make it halfway through a series and then you have to pay to read more. Like Shonen jump is so much better for manga. $2 a month and you can read 100 chapters a day…to unlock the next 100 chapters on INKR I’d have to pay $100…on top of the $5 per month? Trash

It’s back!!!!. Finally! I’ve been waiting for it’s reincarnation. I like the new look of the app and it’s convenience of the tabs. Some suggestions are alphabetical order options and being able to type in romaji/kanji. Also will you be adding more popular titles if allowed?

The look and feel amazing. I have been big fan I was waiting for the app to come up. You did great job regarding the application. Down side you have to consider removing the coin and keeping the subscription. I hate that I have been through many apps I never liked coin based app. You want to attract people remove the coin.

Glad to See They’re Back. Decent start. Lots of things you haven’t read before and some notable ones you have read. For $4.99 a month though? Not a chance until the library is more fleshed out with too heavy selections.

If you compare.... If you compare it to mangarock you will obviously find faults but I enjoy that it now includes western style comics and variety of stories. Also you can get free passes pretty easily with daily challenges but as of recently it does not complete when you share it so they do not let you complete the challenge. Pls fix.

Option to separate mangas by country. I'd like to see a option to separate manga by country so i can skip all the Chinese sh** they make. Not a huge fan of them would like to stick to better stories with actual plot and not just boasting x100. Thanks!

Manga. I like this app but I have been trying to find an app wear I could read yona of the dawn so I don’t have to bring them when I go anywhere. I really like yona of the dawn and naruto and I think they should be one this app.

Disappointed. I downloaded the app and looked trough the library and one of the manga/manhwua that I read is a knockoff. It is Autophagy Regulation they have it as Rule Eater it is done in a different goofy style. The whole reason of killing manga rock was to support creators right? Why allow knock offs in this new service, isn’t this going against your whole reason to create a new service!!.

Update the INKR extra manga. It’s funny, most of the manga and WEBTOON that are part of the subscription are rarely updated or take forever to get another chapter. Seems to push all the pay for chapter comics more than anything. Read for free till I reach the pay for chapter - then move on. Some of the WEBTOON that are finished, they lock the last 3-5 chapters so you have to pay! Whatever.

Love INKR. I could go on and on about the amazing user interface, the great comic selection, the lack of loading times. The best thing about INKR is that it accurately recommends new comics for you to read that you actually enjoy! I really missed Mangarock because of it and I’ll gladly pay subscription to get it back!

The Glory that once stood here. I get it trying to do something but it just isn’t it. manga rock was the peak of amazing and now to see it become another of these. “Oh you wanna read anime do you?” “Buy the membership” I enjoy manga but this is like Disney plus of manga.

Good, could be better. I only gave 3 stars because the content is great but having to pay for a membership in order to read a vast majority of comics and manga pisses me off. Just make the content free instead of adding MCT’s and ads. Do that and I’ll change this to a five star.

Good but.... I was in the beta and I loved it though there weren’t many titles. I couldn’t wait until the app came out, but was disappointed when it came out. You have to pay a monthly subscription in order to read the comics, mangas, and manhuas. I’m broke so I cannot pay to read. I wish there was someway for readers with little to no money to read free.

Not the same. Been around since manga rock and I completely support why you guys made a new app. I don’t have a problem with the titles since I’m sure you guys are pushing more out slowly, mg only issue is the amount of chapters for some, they would have 17 chapters for a manwha with 300+ chapters, not sure how fast you guys are pushing them out but other than that I love the app and will have patience with it.

Paid membership. Why do I pay a monthly when I cannot continue with story and still have ads?

Buggy app. The app is constantly crashing at random times. When you go back to the app it doesn’t have the chapter you were on saved so if you are not paying attention you will have to search for it. Also, you don’t get the rewards that you should when you do the challenges.
