Battery Grapher App Description & Overview

What is battery grapher app? Battery Grapher graphs your historical battery levels and learns your habits to make smart predictions on what your future battery levels will be. Developed specifically with energy consumption in mind, Battery Grapher has almost no impact on battery life.

SMART PREDICTIONS
Battery Grapher uses historical battery levels to intelligently predict what your battery level will be throughout the rest of the day, allowing you to plan when to next charge your device. The longer you have Battery Grapher installed, the more accurate future battery level predictions will be.

LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Battery Grapher is made for people who want to extend the battery life, meaning that low energy usage is a priority. The app runs a background task only once an hour, and doesn't require a network connection, which keeps energy consumption extremely low.

CUSTOMIZABLE NOTIFICATIONS
Battery Grapher allows you to set notifications that fit your needs. You can get the app to notify you when you battery drops below a preset percentage, or if you only have a certain number of hours left before your battery runs out. (currently only available on watchOS)

ALL COMPLICATIONS & WIDGET SIZES SUPPORTED
Battery Grapher supports all complications & widget sizes. Complications can show hours before needing to charge, or battery %. Both complications and widgets are customizable from within the app.

Good info on battery life. Bought this app due to a recommendation of a tech reviewer on YouTube. I am glad that I got it. I really like the watch complication and the widgets for iOS/iPadOS.

This app is terrible.. Took weeks to get to okay status then all the data erased. Don’t waste your money.

App is improving. The app has improved greatly from when I originally purchased it, a lot more detailed information given on amount of batter drained per hour.

Great Battery App!!!. This will do what you want and need. Don’t miss out!!!

Great app. It’s very good it tells you when it will die and when to charge before it works great Doesn’t work for I pad mini can you please make a version compatible with it.

Great app. I love being able to see the time until next charge based on my daily habits rather than just battery percentage. On my phone, this app took about a week for it to collect enough data for “Great” accuracy. Keep in mind that this takes longer on the watch: about 3 weeks for me. Regardless, this is a cool and useful app.

Love It!. I would give the app 5 Stars if it worked on all the devices it is supposed to work. I love this app on my iPhone and iPad, it gives me great insights into my battery health and great metrics to follow as to battery drainage. My experience on my Apple Watch Ultra has been less pleasing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice in four months but I never get an accuracy measurement greater than bad. I don’t charge my watch every night but it can never get the accuracy level to change. Thanks for a good app for the phone and tablet. I wish the app worked as well on the watch.

Not bad so far. One minor ‘issue’/suggestion. Not bad. I did run into a minor ‘Thing’ that should be looked at. I had to unpair and repair the watch and lost the accuracy history. When I repaired, I told it to do a restore from the last backup but that didn’t help. Now I need to wait for it to relearn before it is more accurate. Can the app be set to backup to the phone once a day with the option to reload the data should you have to repair the device?

Has great potential but also an issue for me. Works fine on my 44mm S4 but on my wife’s 40mm S4 I can’t add the complication to any watch face, using the My Watch iPhone app. I can, however, add the complication by editing the watch face directly on the watch. Tried the standard debug things, rebooting, uninstall/reinstall but to no avail.

Super cool watchOS app. I wear my watch as much as possible and up to now guessing when to charge my watch has always been a guessing game. This app is awesome and with complications support extremely useful. One note, let it gather stats for awhile beforehand. It takes a few days for the app to figure out usage. The app will tell you when it thinks it’s got good data. The custom notifications on the watch are very handy. When I workout I like to track gps and health stats, so having a trigger on xx hours before it’s dead is pretty handy. On a non-cellular S4 Worth the small purchase price

Useful information about battery. I like the developer's interest and enthusiasm. This app is nice and displays useful info about my watch charge. For a first release version it works very well. Some room for improvement. I'd like to see the accuracy improve quicker. It went from wildly inaccurate to somewhat close within a few days of use. The app actually tells you how accurate its predictions are. Until the hone in on your usage I'm afraid they aren't much use. Mine has gone from "very bad" to "ok" in about five days. Some improvements I'd like to see are in the complication. I'd like to see both a battery % charge and the calculated time remaining together. Either text % and the "progress bar" as time left or text time left and the progress bar as %. Worth the download. Hoping to see where this app goes in the next few months. Good luck!

Great app with some bugs. Bought this app from the start, really liked it, worked well and got notifs. But lately, since the last update or two, i never receive notifications for what I have set, and the battery graph sometimes rarely updates, but this is hit or miss as it does work sometimes. Confident the developer will get things fixed though, if it’s a bug on that side. Would appreciate any help though!

Battery Discharge Rate on Complications. Can you please put the battery discharge rate on the watch complications? An estimate, like you have now, but with discharge rate too. Thank you.

Great battery app!. Best app I’ve seen that has apples style and function. This app is the best I’ve seen and the most accurate.

Great App (iPad/iPhone/Apple Watch). It’s been a 5 star experience on my devices for multiple years, but it does likely need an update for the people with newer products.

Wait and see?. Had the app for 17 days and as far as I can tell it does not do anything other than take space in the dock. Yes you get a graph and in time said graph is supposed to better predict your battery life. So far the best predictor I have gotten on accuracy is OK. The alarms do work but here is where I see the development and delivery being off. The feature is to notify you that your battery is at 50% (if you choose that alarm). I get the 50% notification, check my battery life and I’m at 42-45%, sometimes lower. So I can see the vision of the feature but it’s not accurate. I want the app to learn my battery but it will not. My rating : 3 Why: I encourage the developers to work on getting this app to do what the description says but at the same time it’s a paid app. I’m ok with paying now, like a early investor but it has to deliver some value. Good luck. I’m removing from my watch for now and hopefully in the future improvements are made.

Love this app. I love this app I’ve been using it all the time especially on my watch because I love knowing when I actually need to charge it I use the complication instead of ever looking at the battery, I do wish there was an actual MacBook app just because I feel like it would be nice to have.

Good concept but not accurate.. I like the apps design and the purpose of it, but it’s not always accurate. Sometimes you’ll see that the time remaining is waaayyy off. It can be fixed each time by going to the settings and switching the complication from “Hours until 0%” to “Battery %” and then back again. But the fact you have to do this (a few times a day sometimes) takes time I’m not willing to spend. It’s not much time but I can use math in my head to determine how much longer I have left faster. It’s frustrating because I want to love the app but I can’t having to do this extra task. I was really hoping to use this instead of my stock battery complication. I downloaded this the minute the developer announced it on reddit. So it’s not due to the app not having long enough to to calibrate. It actually seemed to get worse as the calibration got “better” according to the app itself.

Great find. App looks and works well! Developer is quick to reply and has many great ideas in store for the app.

Great App. Does what it’s supposed to and does it well. Definitely give it a try.

Data collection tested itself on the Apple Watch. I have a series 6 Apple Watch and I keep the app in the dock. I have noticed that the accuracy goes from very bad to bad to good and then after a couple of days it resets itself ) bi data shown in the graph). What could be causing this ?

Helped me @ the Apple Store. I can’t tell how effective Battery Grapher is at predictions, but it certainly helped me at the Apple Store when my battery indicator was acting weirdly. Basically, for hours on end, my watch appeared to be stuck at 100% charge, although I knew it wasn’t. Then it would suddenly plummet into power reserve mode. I took screen shots of the BG graphs and showed them to the person helping me and he immediately grasped the problem. The BG graphs were a close match to the diagnostics the Apple person ran on the watch and they accepted my watch for repair. It was my second attempt at the Apple Store. The first time I didn’t have the BG evidence and I got no satisfaction.

Love this app!. This app is so helpful it is so accurate and I’m so glad I bought it as a one time purchase!

Great app/. Issue with the phone version? Doesn’t seem to be syncing appropriately with my watch. Showing vastly different charge amount and time left. Assuming an update will fix this issue soon. Watch app has been great always on point! Update- Thanks for the response! I was slow on that one, thought the iPhone companion app reflected watch battery, totally get it now and that’s obviously a way better feature, kudos and keep it up!

Great App. This a great app to be able to keep up with the current charge on your battery and know when it needs to be recharged. For me it is a must have app for my Apple Watch!

Easy, useful, clean. I use this on my phone, iPad, and Apple Watch. I love the app and time until dead is so much more useful than just a percentage which I have to think when I charged it last to estimate how much time I have left. Simple concept and very helpful tool I never knew I needed! I love the watch complication I have my bar set to show battery percentage but the text shows hours left so I still know my battery % remaining. For all those who say the accuracy should be better out the gate...think about it, how can it predict the future without past data? Be patient and give it a week to do it’s thing and give your accurate results. Well worth the very small fee.

Awesome concept. I love this app concept but the devs have taken the low power approach too far. Needs an adjustment for the update frequency or even have the complication update when you tap it and open the app. 1 hour updates (coupled with it not actually updating every hour bug) are just a bit too long for this app to be useful. Give the user a choice on the update frequency. If these things are fixed in a update I will rate 5 stars.

Can’t tell if it works.. Edit: it doesn’t work at all. The complication (which I consider the most important part of any watch app) makes no sense. The numbers still go up and down seemingly randomly. The app itself may be accurate but I don’t want to open up the app every time I look at my watch. The correct information should be visible in the complication. And the accuracy is allegedly “ok”, so that shouldn’t be the issue. I really have no idea if this app works or not. The numbers it displays show no rhyme or reason. They go up and down or stay put and make no sense. They almost seem randomly generated. When I open the app, the only thing I see is the accuracy is bad. I wrote the dev a question on Reddit and got no reply. I can’t recommend buying this. Hopefully it will improve and won’t have been a waste of money.

Apple Watch 7 Incompatibility?. Ever since I upgraded to to Watch OS 9.3 the usage per hour has increased significantly. Is this anything you’ve noticed? I’m not blaming the app which I’ve used for a long time and love it. But is it just coincidence? It happened immediately. Thx.

Complications don’t update. Nice app, but the complications do not update very often so are typically off. Right now the complication says I have 97% battery, but I only have 80%. Please fix update rate!

Scam or just useless?. As near as I can tell after trading a number of emails with the alleged developer of this app, he can provide no useful information. Save your money. This app is useless and provides nothing that is not provided free by the Apple app. Again, save your money.

Great app. Developer is awesome, actually does what he says, making this watch app available for iPad and phone. I rely on the data provided to plan charging time. Also no hidden gotcha. Thank you!

Not good. I’m only doing a review on here because you guys software mess up my Apple Watch an now I have to buy another an this is not the 1st time this has happen i downloaded it on to my watches an the same thing keeps happening

Cool battery app. This a really a cool app and the update makes it worth the investment. The new features have added more functionality to the app. The app now includes the battery % left before the next recharge. Also, a detailed page with some neat stats such as % used in the last hour, average % used per hour and the one I really like, the average battery life. Highly recommend for tracking battery life. For the next generation of the app, highlighting the apps that are draining the battery. Harry

Helpful. This is something I saw and knew I needed! I have always been worried about battery in short term and the long term this will help my watch. If there are more added features, it is a good buy.

Works great. The app works great, I find myself not charging my watch as much as I use to, in fear of it dying on me. The only thing I would love to see is a notification on when the watch was almost charged and fully charged. I find myself going without my watch for a few hours because I forget it in the charger. A pushed notification on full charge would solve all my problems

Amazing already!!. Amazing app, already impressed

Must have app. I’m a smart watch hound. Own 3 Samsung, 1 LG, 1 TicWatch, FitBit Versa, Apple series 0 and Apple Series 5. I always preferred the hardware and software of the Apple watches but series 0-4 were difficult to live with due to display design. Finally got it right with Series 5 and all my other “always-on” watches are retired. One thing that I missed was tracking battery drain. Thanks to Battery Graphet you can monitor battery drain to determine if apps are working for or against you. Great app!! I’m home again with Apple Watch and Battery Grapher completes the migration requirements for me.

Was great at start but is filled with bugs. This is a great idea for an app, but the developer needs to do more testing before releasing to public. Complications don't reset after every day, also my accuracy was at very bad after 2 weeks.

Thanks! Phone & Watch Battery in One complication. Thank you for the update. I had same issues. Whatever you did, works perfectly. Stay safe!

Disappointed. I bought the app I thought this is cool showing how many hours is left during the day. A YouTuber recommended this app. It is just not accurate the hours versus the charge percentage. So I put my percentage back on my watch. I still have the app on my watch. I will try it down the road once I see more updates on it.

I like it, but one oddity. I have the app in the Dock and the complication, but there’s a yellow dot next to “Missing Data?” in settings. Not sure how to remove. Also, the app reports a loss of battery in the last hour despite being on the charger; a little strange. Otherwise, I like seeing the estimate for my usage and now I can better tweak my devices to get a good balance of features and battery life.

I really want to love this app.. And I do in theory. It’s just not accurate at all. For instance right now it’s telling me I have 70hrs and my battery level is at 27. When I open the complication it even shows that I have less than 24 hours. If the info was accurate this would be a 5 star review. I appreciate the work that goes into it and when the app works it’s actually very helpful. Unfortunately that is a rare occurrence. Not going to delete it yet. I’m gonna give it a little more time for some updates but if the accuracy is still way off I’m deleting. Update- It doesn’t work. The complication doesn’t update when I charge my watch. It’ll show I only have a few hours with a fully charged battery. Please fix this. If the app was free I wouldn’t care but I eagerly paid for this and I just wish it worked. I like the idea of what it’s actually supposed to do. Update part 2- Thank you for the reply! I changed it to a 5 star rating as it should be! I appreciate the hard work!

Battery Grapher. Downloaded this app for my Apple 6 , seemed to work well for the first week, but after that it never worked properly, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my watch

Great idea, just a few touch ups needed. I downloaded this app 3 days ago and was excited about a battery grapher but there are a few suggestions I could makes to increase the experience. It would be great to add the option to change the update frequency of the Apple Watch complications and notifications since the battery life on the complication is almost guaranteed to be unsynced with the actual battery life and the notifications may come in a considerable time after the requested percentage or time remaining has actually been reached. I would also like to have a refresh button within the app that you can physical press to sync the battery life remaining and time until fully drained. I would also like to question why the accuracy status can change rapidly from ok to very bad within a few hours and also how long it approximately takes to have maximum accuracy almost always all the time. Overall, great start and love the idea, it’s definitely something the Apple Watch needs but please consider these suggestions future updates.

Needs an update. A fantastic app that accurately shows how long your battery will last, would be nice to have it updated to handle the larger battery on the Ultra.

Great little app, very useful.. Thanks, this App / battery graph is something WatchOS really needed. The hours remaining complication is also much more useful than a battery percentage in my opinion.

Great. I bought the app for Apple Watch as soon as it was released (I saw it on reddit), and now it’s out for iPhone and iPad and it’s been really useful for when I’m planning to charge my devices.

Not compatible. I’m sure it’s a great app, sadly it’s not compatible with the original Apple Watch, so I wasted my money.

Amazing App, Mandatory on all my devices. The app is so easy to use and setup, and so accurate. I’ve had it give me as little as 5 minutes warning, allowing me to get full use out of my battery. It’s super accurate and reduces how much I need to charge my devices. I have this as a default app on my watch and iPhone.

Clean and barebones. It does one thing and does it really well. However instead of basing the estimation on time until the battery is absolutely dead, it would be extremely helpful to be able to estimate the time before it reaches 20% or such. There is also a display issue, where the text would be partially cut off if the complication is placed at the bottom left or right of the watch face. Perhaps showing H or plain number instead of HRS. can prevent it?

Disappointed. It stays at 73% no matter how charged it is. Doesn’t warn that it’s at the levels I’ve set. I’ve had it about 2 weeks. The Developer reached out to me and gave me a solution to my problem and it appears to be working. Thank you Developer-I've repeatedly done as you suggested. The App is reset and it seems to work for a while then it doesn't. I've just recharged it to 100% The App shows 68% It also periodically stays at a set figure for a long time then drops.

Needs update. This app used to be good. I loved it and it was fairly accurate. Now it’s not accurate and it needs an update. I’ll often charge it to 100% and it says I’m at 20%. The developer doesn’t respond when contacted either. It’s not worth the purchase until it’s updated.

Apple Watch Ultra Support. I didn’t have an issue with the Series 4 or 6 watches but upgrading the Series 6 to the Ultra, if you have a complication and you set it for 54 hours off the charger, the hours to go until it’s depleted never goes past 47. For this watch, this needs to be fixed. Update: With the version that was released on 01/31/23, it fixes the bug (as in the Release Notes) that caused this. It now displays the proper hours until zero in the complication (goes past 47 on the “Hours until Zero”). All around I’m very happy with the app on an iPhone, an iPad and an Apple Watch.

Very cool app. Fills a niche on the Apple Watch App Store. Exactly what I was looking for 👍🏻

Can’t recommend in 2024, or for watchOS 10. I would give it a higher rating because the app fills a good niche, it’s nice to get an intelligent estimation of battery life especially for a watch. The average % lost in an hour data point is also good to see if your battery usage is going up for some background issue. The app requires a complication on the watch face or pinning the app in the dock, but the dock has been replaced with the Smart Stack in watchOS 10, and you can’t place the app in Smart Stack currently. Meaning you need to take up precious watch face real estate with a complication for this to work. The graphs are also very buggy. The usage graph doesn’t show anything correctly after a few days of usage for me, if you charge the watch it will show it charging across most of the day. It’s almost like it inverts the usage and it goes up instead of down. The usage habits graph also doesn’t make sense to me. for some reason the baseline usage for each hour is around 5%, as you use the app more it will supposedly get more accurate. It says my accuracy is “good” yet I consistently wear the watch to bed and it says my usage per hour through the night is almost 5%, which definitely isn’t true. Not sure why there is even a baseline at 5% anyway, I feel like it should be a baseline of 0% and you’ll arrive at an accurate average way faster. The app needs an update and then my review would probably be a lot better, until then it isn’t worth the price.

Impressive. Very impressed so far with the ability to see how many hours of battery I have left on my watch with just a glance at the complication.

Poor accuracy on watch. This app works well on IPhone but is very inaccurate on the Apple Watch. It overestimates how long the battery will last by at least one day. It does not trigger the alarms I have set at 40% and 20%. It has not improved its accuracy in several weeks (currently says ‘bad’). Two emails to the developer have not been answered.

Was waiting for this but .... It hasn't sent me the "lower than 40%" notification I programmed and I can't find a way to reach the programmer to ask questions
