ACE College Blvd store closing. This had been my go to Ace Hardware stores for years. So close to my house/ neighborhood. So many of my neighbors and I will truly miss this store. Hopefully the business person that purchased the building will NOT make it a restaurant but some type of hardware store for those that live in nearby neighborhoods. The employees that have been staffed at this location have always been very helpful and friendly. My dog will also miss the treats, staff, and the cashiers when we check out. It’s his favorite store also! 😂

Great brand, rubbish App. Love shopping at my local Ace but this app is trash. It has slowed to a crawl, the sort feature has ONe laughable choice — recommended (so I can’t even sort by price). The website is marginally an improvement. The search function (for example) gave me 632 choices for an item category, and the filters all showed lower numbers by trait. Yet nothing happens when I actually filter on the description. Bottom line - shop at an Ace retailer whenever you can, use their website (which is much less annoying) but rely on the app only to manage your coupons. Also useful to peruse their specials.

Mama. I’ve got to be honest, some may think I too honest. I 100% believe that honesty can move mountains. Our Ace hardware is owned and operated by a wonderful woman. When I go into the store each and every employee is so happy, so knowledgeable about the area in which they are working that day. If I don’t know where something is located within Carolyn’s store there is ALWAYS someone who can guide me to the item I need. AND VERY RARELY THE EMPLOYEE I ASK NEEDS TO ASK ANOTHER PERSON. They seem to know their store inside and out. They do not hesitate to stop dead in their tracks to help anyone, customers and fellow employees alike. The people that are hired come to work very happy. Each and every person that walks in, comes in to a very clean and extremely organized store. When Carolyn is on the floor she ALWAYS greets her customers. For that matter her employee do the same. A+++++++ shopping experience EVERY TIME.

Flawless. I’ve been using the app for a couple of months now and it has worked flawlessly. They gave me a five dollar off five dollar purchase coupon for downloading the app. So basically they gave me five dollars in-store credit to use the app. If they still have, this offer available take them up on it it’s free money. Not only was that a perk, but it is helpful to find items, find stores, and find great deals and more coupons. Highly recommend the app if you shop at Ace hardware store or if you’re looking to check them out. Thanks for the great deals and friendly staff in the stores. I appreciate it. Genuine employees who are helpful are hard to come by now but those at the Wilsonville, Oregon store are amazing.

Price and discount for seniors. I live in a very rural area and thankful Ace is there. With that said I feel Ace is taking full advantage of price gouging knowing that we don’t want to make the 25 mile track to the city. Like so many others. Additionally when we see many advertisement stating Ace gives discounts to seniors “ at selected stores” even with coupons your coupons do not attempt to provide a discount as it should. When comparison shopping many many times prices can easily be +5.00 and up. Even small items over 1.50. Everyone in my area is complaining. Many will not stop because of the significant price differences. Correct you coupons stop the minimum purchase amount such as only valid on $25,00 of more, correct your pricing. We understand and are willing to accept some increases differences for the convenience of location . I can clearly tell you that about 50% of citizens in our area will not use Ace because of the massive difference. Correct your prices and coupons and that 50% of lost customers will come back and your revenue/sales will increase. Be a good neighbor to rural America.

Won’t Remove From Cart. I’ve used the app several times to purchase items from the local store and have been fine with that. My current issue with the app is that I have an item in the Cart that I changed my mind on so I’ve clicked on the remove button, only the remove button doesn’t do anything and the item remains in the Cart. I’ve tried the remove button several times now with no success. I can no longer purchase from the app until this is fixed. Being Black Friday weekend I was hoping to take advantage of some deals, but because of this Cart issue I’ve decided to go with Home Depot instead.

I LOVE Ace hardware!!. I have NEVER had a bad experience at ANY Ace Hardware I have gone to! The people are so helpful and friendly, if I can’t find something, and even if I describe it to the best of my ability, even if it is “ I need the thingy that goes on this thingy or with this thingy” they understand the lingo and they find it!! I won’t go anywhere else for paint, they have the best deals and they go the extra mile to reach the color I’m looking for! If something I’m looking for will be on sale next week they let me know, and on the tight budget we are on that savings is a blessing! If they don’t have it they will get it! I can spend all day in Ace Hardware, it’s my go to first!!

Love my local Ace, but this app is garbage. Like most people in this review section, I support Ace because I support local. But lets be really real, the app feels like it’s stuck in the early 2000s. Do you have a UX designer? As someone in the industry, I guarantee you don’t. So many issues that many have already griped about (search, dead ends, complete cart abandonment when loading) but even down to having two “Purchase History” lines on your Account page (which both go to the same place…) and the poor English throughout. Granted your in store customers are loyal, and some are generations that will continue to patron only in store but when shopping online accounts for over 70% of consumer purchases, the writing is in the wall. You are going to lose sales to HD and Lowes because the app experience is far better (or even it just works at all). And no, you don’t need millions to produce a nice app, as I’ve seen many small businesses with a beautiful online store experience. I fear if you don’t get with the standards these big box stores have set, it’s going to send Ace the way of Radioshack, and all for want of an investment into better UX.

Bangor/Pen Argyl Ace Hardware. I rate the Bangor/ Pen Argyl Ace Hardware with a solid 5 stars. Close and convenient but the main reason is the always friendly customer service. They are knowledgeable in their areas and always willing to go out of their way to help in any way possible. A very close knit group of people with exceptional people skills. Whomever does the hiring is spot on with their skill in selecting employees. It seems none of the staff ever has a bad day. It’s one of the local stores I look forward to going to rather than the big chain stores.

App issues searching and selecting. Now more than ever I want to support my local ace Hardware! But searching on this app is difficult. How can I see what’s in stock and available? Multiple times I’ve made a choice for a product then to find I can’t add to my cart. Get it together Ace! How is your app rated so high? I’ve moved several purchases to other businesses because your app. Adding; once I found something I could purchase. I went to the store for pick up and had no clue where to go. I called the number to the local store and the person really didn’t know either. Then half of my order was there and half wasn’t. I don’t have any idea when the other part of my order will arrive and the “pick up guy” didn’t either. He was looking everywhere for the other half of my order. You are my favorite hardware store but you are DROPPING THE BALL. UP The Technology for this app. I got your note about demand being high. I understand. But I didn’t have this issue with your competitors. Innovate. If you want to give me $100 in something make it something other than magazines. That just makes me feel like you’re out of touch. Are you selling my info to a 3rd party for Magazines? Magazines. HAHA

Frustrating. So I get this nice mail out telling me that my ACE rewards has been upgraded to “Premier Member” with added benefits. Great I have been a member for a long time and was glad to see I might actually get something for being a member. In the mail out it says to download the app and receive an additional $5 bonus, cool. I downloaded the app and tried to log in, said my email and password was incorrect. No problem I hit forgot password and entered my email to which it said no information found. Ok, maybe I never put my email in there. I go to create account and it says if you already have a member number not to worry just fill out the information and the app will find me. After filling out the information 3 times it still says “no information found”. I will revisit this review after someone has figured out how to find me other than the emails I get sent and mail outs I get sent EVERY MONTH.

Search...no results. V2.0.10 I rarely review apps but the search feature is terrible. You must know exactly what you are looking for and sometimes that doesn’t even do it. Just one example: searching for Killzall 365 weed killer. I search for killzall 365, killzall, kill-zall... I happen to remember that it says hi-yield at the top of the bottle so, I search for hi-yield killzall 365...so far no search results...finally I type in just ‘hi-yield’ and I get a category with 83 products in it that I then have to scroll through and find the product. How is this product listed? ‘ Hi-Yield Killzall 365 Grass & Weed Killer RTU Liquid 1 gal.’ so why does it not find it? You guys are losing business over this because it appears within your own app that you do not even carry this product or much of anything else. I love my local Ace hardwares but if I am looking for something specific then I want to know if they have it or not before wasting my time. Fix this. It can’t be that hard to fix and it shouldn’t be that hard to search for something!

Ace Hardware Is Awesome!. Ace Hardware is an exceptional hardware store that provides a wide range of products, tools, and supplies for all your home improvement needs. Great place in Gig Harbor. They have expanded and improved the layout in the store. It’s easier to navigate and there’s a much wider selection. The thing I like best is the customer service—every person working the aisles is so friendly and helpful and willing to spend time finding what you need or figuring out what you need to accomplish your project. It’s also smaller and more personal than the great big warehouse “where is help when you need it” stores. (Their staff is also helpful, but it just doesn’t feel as personal and the ambiance of all those high metal shelves stacked up on both sides of you is not welcoming). I’m glad we have Home Depot available as a backup, but I always start at Ace.

Store is great, app is not. Yes, as almost all the reviews state, Ace Hardware is a great store. But their app is not. Specifically, the search interface is terrible and non-intuitive, for example you have to re-enter the search term every time- you can’t modify the previous term. If you click the search icon, it doesn’t search; it clears the screen and you start all over. The results include tons of items that are only very remotely related to the search term, and in a seemingly random order. Other functions of the app are also just not up to modern UI. For example, in search results you can’t click on an item’s picture to select it; only clicking on the descriptive text works. And throughout the app, the back button is inconsistent. Sometimes it returns to the previous screen, sometimes to the home page. Ace deserves a better app!

Nice finding the Run Capacitor that I needed locally. Very Functional and easy to use website. Some “glitches” when trying to change from the Initial Ace Hardware store I chose to the Ace Hardware store nearest me that actually had the part. Had to re-select the new store manually, versus how I belt you May have intended, for the online customer to simply “click” on the store that has the part, then continue to checkout; that didn’t work. And I’d suggest that some online customers might “bail out” rather than manually re-selecting the Item Available Store. Just my opinion. Next to useless. This app pales in comparison to their competitors, Home Depot and Lowes. Most of it is a begathon to join their rewards program, but I already am a member. But I can’t sign in because there is no provision for entering either my account number or phone number, both of which are how I am identified in their stores. The only way to log in is using an email address, but I closed that address when I moved. I reached out to their customer support line but they ignored me. The other non-starter for this or any app in the 21st century is that they don’t have an iPad version and the app can’t be used in landscape mode. Duh, if I’m shopping for stuff I am most likely to be at home using my tablet, not on a mobile phone somewhere. The rest of the app looks like they assigned it to a high school student who never saw the inside of a hardware store, compared to the big guys it’s next to useless.

Buggy. Have been trying multiple times to buy something in my cart. Have $5 rewards. When trying to apply the rewards, the app locks up. Also, tried shipping to home. It kept telling me it was an invalid address. It’s absolutely valid. After researching, had to uninstall and reinstall app but maybe just logging out and back in would do. Now trying to complete the order the next day, it will not let me pay with PayPal. Lets me select it but there is no button to complete the order. The process just stops there. To pay with credit card, you need to save a credit card to the account. Just had someone log into my Lenovo account that had a card saved and ordered themselves a computer. Never doing that again. Tried logging in online, similar issues there. ACE really needs to get their stuff together.

Big fan of stores but hate App. We’ve been Ace reward members for years & really like the stores. But forget to bring the rewards coupons when I go to our neighborhood store. So I downloaded the app, expecting to get a $5 reward when I connected our account. Just like the flyer they sent me said. But the app could not connect our existing account as I did not have the account number with me. So it set up a new account, even though I’d given it the phone number I always give in the store. And no $5 reward. The next day, I found the number of the original account & thought I’d just cancel the new account & connect the old account in the app. No such luck. When I tried to cancel the new account, it routed me to a page on Ace’s website about deleting personal data. I completed that & was told a team member would look over my request to remove data & get back to me. What a mess! Better to stick with the paper coupons.

Ace hardware. Ace hardware is still the best at customer service! Unlike big box stores the employees seem to be more knowledgeable and a lot more willing to help. The app is very easy to navigate. It’s very easy to see what’s in stock and what other stores have the products you are looking for if you can’t wait for an order to come in. The prices can be a little higher at times but, as far as I know each ace hardware is independently owned, I would rather spend a little extra for great customer service and help without waiting for ever like other big box stores and the best part is you are supporting a local small business that’s generally family owned!

White screen like everyone else. Update: They did correct the white screen issue so up from 1 star now. It seems pretty much the same as usual. Does what I need. No bells or whistles - but sometimes that’s better. Still the “phone” vers. on ipad but at least I can now stay in landscape to view app (even though visually the thin small screen isn’t appealing and seems silly with all the width space on an ipad to be needing to scroll over for choices in the vertical limited area.. A real ipad app or for the phone - would rate it 4.

ACE Hardwire in Kenova W.v. Me and my family have always liked ace hardware ther helpful and they alwaye’s have what you are looking four and there emploeye’s are very kind and helpful and they don’t mind helping you find what ever it is that you are looking four like some of the bigger store’s that you go in like lowe’s and placese like that not saying nothing bad about lowe’s ingeneral but yes i would recommend ace hardwire at any time . Thank you to all of you at ace hardwire four all that you do to help you’re customer’s and for being so kind and help fuel to you’re customer’s .

User logout too often.. Companies that want me to use their app need to make it less difficult to stay signed in. The standard protocol these days is face ID. I am totally frustrated with companies like this that want me to use their app and frankly I don’t really want to use your app unless it’s convenient for me. So constantly making me use my password to sign into your app but I haven’t been signed into it for a long time discourages me from using your app. So I would frankly recommend making the app more user-friendly for people to say signed in. At the end of the day this is not a bank, so once I sign in, just keep me signed in. There’s no need to sign me out. This is not a financial institution who cares if my information is stolen at the end of the day. That’s frankly what I feel about your stupid process of signing me out on a hardware app.

App is cool, customer service is even better !. Shopped today at store and got a card from service employee at counter and just downloaded app. Trying to figure out how to get my $5 discount coupon. LoL However customer service at Oxford PA store was above and beyond with helping us find the items we needed on our list which were in different sections of the store. This Ace Hardware is our new goto hardwares store. We were both extremely impressed with the customer service and will use this app to look up our items for now on beforehand. I can’t even use the app. I got an offer to download the app and link my account for a $10 bonus. I downloaded the app, went through all the screens, everything seemed to work. Then it took me back to the home page and just kept going through the create account function, not just sign in. It was caught in an endless loop. I removed and installed the app again, this time I had the option to just sign in. Put in all the info and it said there was a problem. Went ahead and reset my password, went back to app and it still said there was a problem. Did it yet again, but this time no matter what I put in to reset my password, it said I couldn’t use one I’ve previously used. I was making stuff up off the top of my head and it kept saying it. A free $10 sounded nice, but it’s not worth this.

Sawyers Ace Hardware. The personal serve is beyond anywhere else these days. If you want customer service this is the place for you! Buy your windshield wiper blades here they are 1/2 the cost of Auto Zone. This makes for excellent value as well. Recently I needed a large 100 lb propane tank for an auxiliary propane fireplace and they were 30 % cheaper than Homedepot and it was in stock! Picked it up right away with help to locate, fill it with propane, and loaded it ready to go without any delays. Best purchase ever because it was ready to use and didn’t have to go to another merchant to fill it with propane. Home Depot couldn’t do that! There paint department is excellent. One day we asked to get some paint for our kitchen cabinets. To my surprise they had a specific paint just for kitchen cabinets which I had never heard of before. It really is superior paint! We used it to paint bathroom vanity as well because it is very durable paint!

Best staff ever. I came to the store today to find a drawer handle and some paint for my projects. One of the staff immediately asked me if they could help me locate something, walked with me to the correct aisle and called for extra help. A young man named Joe appeared quickly and helped me look for the correct size drawer handle. Since they didn’t have one in Stock he offered to order one for me. We got that order done and I also purchased some paint. When I got my paint Joe returned and showed me that he indeed found one drawer pull that was the correct size. How wonderful that he went the extra step to make sure I didn’t have to wait a week for it. That’s why I love that store, there’s always someone who can answer your questions and get you help should you need it. Gratefully, Ruth Berry

Ace doesn’t perform. As an ace member, I have found it’s very frustrating. I can’t stand that there are dates on every coupon. It seems that every time I need to use the discount coupons I receive, the date is either too early or too late. I wish they would get rid of the dates completely, or just stretch it over 30 days. I have had many coupons that when I get to the store to purchase I find the air not usable. Additionally, my other local hardware store since coupons as well. Last time I was in they asked if I had any coupons and the one I had was expired. They said they would still honor it! Working with Ace Hardware is been a frustrating experience and I always choose to either go to my other local hardware store or Home Depot because of aces policies.

Something went wrong please try again later. “I have tried logging into the app off and on for about 6 months. This is what I’ve tried: changing password, deleting app and reloading. I am able to sign in on the website. I am using apple auto sign in which works on other apps. When I enter password error message is “something went wrong please try again later.” So this is my review of the app and support. I emailed support via the App (above quote) when I signed on as a guest. Support response was fast. There were 3 different people responding, one to my initial inquiry and to each response, so there was no continuity of support. No one recognized that I had an ongoing issue. I asked in my last response to forward up to a manager but that wasn’t acknowledged. The app is slow under guest, not for sure it would be slow if I could sign in. My review is 1 stars for the app (1 due to being able to long on as a guest and email support) and 1 for support, due only to response time. My own solution to the non-working app is if I need something from Ace, I will go straight to my local Ace and talk to knowledgeable friendly people who can help me get what I need to fix what’s broke. (Love our local Ace) Glad the app is working for those it’s working for and sad to say it doesn’t work for me.

Needs a bit of work. I updated my iPhone recently. The Ace app on my old phone transferred over as expected. When I went to use the Ace app, it opened up a blank screen and stayed there. I deleted and reinstalled the app from the app store. The only place the icon showed up was the “Application Library” screen but at least it launched a login screen. I logged in and it opened a blank screen again. I deleted and reinstalled again. When I launched it I canceled the login screen, and then the Apple location permission and notification prompts came up. I answered those, and I was able to log in. The icon still only showed in the App Library, but I was able to press and hold the icon and choose “add to Home Screen”. The icon shows normally and the app is working now. I would expect the app to correctly handle the OS prompts and icon placement by itself as part of the installation process.

Don’t buy if you can’t return it to the original store.. I like Ace stores which is a reason why I gave it two stars instead of one star. I was in another city and I just happen to be driving by an Ace hardware store. I needed a spark plug socket and bought one. When I got home I found that the craftsman socket wasn’t long enough so I went to my local Ace store to get a refund (with receipt). I was told they wouldn’t give me a refund because it had been purchased elsewhere and I would have to return to the original store which is an hour away. I wish I had known this is their return policy. Too bad it’s not posted ANYWHERE. I was told the reason they don’t accept returns from other stores is that each store is independently owned and taking in merchandise from another store screws up their inventory. I don’t get it but apparently that’s their business model so BUYER BEWARE.

Awesome customer service.. This has been my Ace Hardware for like four years now. I came from Princeton Illinois and I see you still use them out there and I also use these here. These guys are great. They do a great job they always have what you need and if they don’t have it, they can get it within two days. everyone is so friendly in there all the time even if you’re in there 20 minutes before they close the doors they don’t give you that feeling I left. It’s time to leave you can’t stay here no more excellent customer service.

Basic features but lacking a lot of usability. I’ve had many issues with app. Biggest is it doesn’t save payment info. It’s no longer convenient for quick ordering if I have to type out my whole credit card number on a cell phone. There is no integration with one password either so I can’t have it enter the CC info. I think almost all major shopping apps have both of those features. Also, inventory is an issue. I’ve searched for items and saw they were listed in stock and driven down to store and then have zero of what I need. App isn’t helpful if it’s not accurate. There is also no location info so I have no idea what area of the store to find the items. I placed an order this morning and finished the check out process and when I click on cart it says empty now that purchase is complete but the shopping cart icon still says 3 even though there are no items in cart. It doesn’t reset indicator. Maybe website is better than app? I hope so. Haven’t tried but I guess that’s my next go to.

Anchors, screws and washers please. Matt was very helpful in getting me anchors, screws and washers at the downtown Ace Hardware. When I entered the store I had never been here before so I was lost and didn’t know where anything was. The service is excellent and the prices are fair. I would recommend Ace Hardware to anyone. Don’t forget to download the app on your phone for more savings and sign up for their rewards program. I like doing home improvement projects. I’ll probably be visiting them again soon. Not very useful. Shop at Ace quite a bit, so I was excited when they came out with an app so I could shop online and have all my rewards in one place. The website is pretty terrible so I was really hoping the app would be better. I was very disappointed. The search function only brings up about 6-8 items using the keyword you enter. Usually more than half the items have nothing to do with what you're looking for. Also, there is no way to filter by what is in stock in your selected store (just like the website). So basically you have to search through page after page of items, and if you do find what you're looking for, it might not even be in stock near you. The other main issue is the filters are all over the place. Say you're looking for a 4"x10' stick of DWV PVC. When you try to filter by 4" ID, it might only bring up half the results. And sometimes it brings up 4" long threaded pipe off all different inside diameters. Probably because when they enter items into their system, most of the item descriptions are incomplete or just wrong. Their entire system needs help, including the app.

Can no longer log in. The app kicked me out. Makes me login again. When I login, the “create new account or login” option is one button that only allows you to create an account. If you go through the process of filling out the form with your existing information it tells you that the account already exists and tells you to sign in. You click sign in and it tries to make you create a new account again. It’s a never ending loop making the app pretty much useless for me now. Updated: you also cannot buy anything. I decided to create a new account. Oddly enough it let me merge my old and new account which was nice and almost made me update to a 4 star review, but after I added everything to my cart and checked out, the Apple Pay button does not work. Manually entering in a credit card number doesn’t work. There is no way to pay. No longer pretty much useless. It’s completely useless. Will update the review when I’m able to access the account again.

Losing a loyal customer because of a glitchy app. I moved recently and it is no longer as convenient to drop into my local ACE Hardware. I started using the app to find what I need and have it waiting when I cross town to the store. Until the recent revision of the app, that is. I can’t get into my account any more. I tried to change my password (which was an Apple strong password, saved in my device,) but I get error messages. I tried to sign in as a guest, but you can’t shop that way either. So, I can’t get into my account and I can’t shop as a guest. Ergo, I can no longer shop online at Ace Hardware. Too bad. I liked your business otherwise. If you ever solve your app problem, please reach out to your old customers…because we can’t reach out to you.

Phone app. The Ace app was easy to install after I received my discount cards through the mail. I scanned the barcode thing and I was able to link my local store and have my discount offers stored on my phone. Much easier than remembering to dig cards from my wallet. I travel to different cities across the US and I always try to find an Ace hardware store. On another note, I have become totally disgusted with Home Depot’s “supposed “ discount programs. Ace recognizes me as a Vet! Thank you! Their displays are well organized and labeled. Ace usually has everything I need, is closer to home and the service is absolutely top notch! The Ace employees ALWAYS say hello and offer help. This is a winning formula for my business.

Not a Bad App. My local Ace hasn’t been opened but for just over a year here and they keep a legit amount of stock. No they don’t have a lumberyard but as far as other things in the store, I’ve been impressed. From locks to locking nuts and a wide range of hardware to tools. They are closer than The Home Depot, Lowe’s and some of the smaller hardware stores around don’t have anything other than a lumberyard. It’s just over a mile from my house and yes I use the app to purchase what I need, they are staffed by a knowledgeable staff and I’ll use them until they just don’t have what I need.

Great App for a Great Company. Very impressed at how well the app works and how easy it is to find and utilize savings as well as convenience of not having to drive to town “to see” - never had a problem and do a good bit of DIY (need it now) as well as having things shipped to my home as I plan projects. Also the employees in the stores are always helpful and respectful and knowledgeable. Anything they don’t know, they always ask and find out instead of just selling you something. I enjoy supporting locally owned small business as well where I know the owner and where he lives and grew up and that he wants his customers to win so that he can continue to win.

The last hold out for knowledgeable staff in hardware stores. It truly is the place that I go when I need help because the people there actually know what they’re talking about and actually know what they’re doing and you can actually find people working in the days. Where is if you try to go to some of the larger box, hardware stores, good luck, finding somebody and even tougher still is to find someone that can answer any questions at all, as is definitely my favorite store when it comes to buying anything from bbq related to hardware supplies.

Best Customer Services!. Currie Ave Hardware is a convenient hardware store. The customer service is incredible! There is always someone at the door ready to make your shopping experience quick and easy. By having the store clerks right there to help you, I have saved money and time not buying the wrong product and having to go to another store to find the right thing. At Currie Ave Hardware, there is always someone there that is knowledgeable about their merchandise. The best thing about going to Currie is that the staff is always friendly and welcoming!!

No rewards. I downloaded this so I could link my rewards account to a physical app. Everything I read said it takes a day after you’ve downloaded the app and linked to your rewards account for the five dollar reward to show up on the app. The five dollar reward being one that you’re supposed to get for downloading your app and linking your rewards account. Well so far that hasn’t happened I did give it three stars because when I originally downloaded the app it was useless froze up had awful navigation And was just generally bad. the last few updates seem to have improved a lot of that but it’s got a ways to go.

Great hardware store that feels like home!. I really meant that Ace Hardware on Park Row is just plain awesome! They employ great people who will actually help you! And if that person is busy with another, the employee will send out a message through the front desk that there is a customer who needs help. And then someone appears! Just for you. So many larger stores are just that! Too big to help! Ace employees are super helpful and always seem to be smiling. Love that! They carry (in smaller amounts) so many obscure things and they know all about the product you're shopping for. And if they know what you need, but don't have it, someone there will HAND MAKE one for you! Obviously this is mainly for smaller hardware, but don't be afraid to ask for help! Store is clean, brightly lit, and chock full of cool things that you didn't come in for, but the store is so neatly arranged, the item you leave with may not have been on your "list", but customers always walk out happy! Keep up the great business. Arlington has gotten so big over the last 40+ years, it's hard to find good service....walking into Ace Hardware will have you feel like you've stepped into the past! And that feels good! I could go on and on and on about this gem of a store, but just wanted to give them all a virtual pat on the back for a job well done! Please don't ever close down. Need it fast, go elsewhere first. This app has failed me every single time I need something in a pinch. The actual ace website isn’t any better if you want to know what products are available. There isn’t a clear way to show only what is in your store and some products you look for shows hundreds of items which isn’t relevant (based on filters) local or even meets the need of “get it fast”, I need to know what I can go by RIGHT NOW to fix a plumbing issue, it’s a gamble to visit ace first knowing other box stores absolutely have what I need when the app is deceiving. This frustration has led me multiple times to my local store, only to end up driving the opposite way to competitor stores which both show actual availability.

Titusville, Florida Ace Hardware. Since we moved here in December 2019. Titusville Ace Hardware has been a fixture in our neighborhood for home improvement projects in a wide range of areas. The close proximity of our neighborhood Ace Hardware store is the most significant factor in being my first choice for anything I need. If they don’t have what I’m looking for I have other stores nearby, but Ace Hardware in Titusville generally has what I need. The facility is always clean, the restrooms are always clean and fresh, the staff members are all very friendly, professional, informative and helpful. It’s always fun and pleasurable shopping at the ace hardware store in Titusville.

Too bad it’s so poor. I love ace and try to patronize my local small town store as much as possible. Online shopping however is a drag. The app tells me something is available locally for home delivery tomorrow and after I purchase I’m told it will be delivered a week or more out. Huh? These are not hard to find items - a can of white fence stain, a circular saw blade, etc. The poor correspondence between the app’s knowledge of my store’s inventory and actual inventory (at least I assume that’s the problem rather) has made online ordering a fail for me - I deleted the app and have reluctantly moved on to a local big box store where their app is right most of the time. The search function is also awful. You have to know exactly what you want before it finds something close. Vocabulary is too controlled with too few synonyms. If I don’t know the exact name for something I’ll go to a bigger store’s app to search then enter the exact name in the ace app. This really defeats the purpose of a hardware store. You’d think they’d make more of an effort to build a broad dictionary if they want to make it easy to shop. Try looking for the hardware used to wrap curtain pulls around, for example. It’s really too bad I would love to support my local Ace esp. during the pandemic.

Best Ace Hardware - Hill’s Ace Hardware in Loganville, GA. I love this store! When you walk in there is always so one who ask if they can help. Then tell you what aisle to find whatever you’re looking for. The staff is well versed on their specific location in the store. Just recently I needed exterior wood putty to fill nail holes on my new porch. Do you know how many kinds there are? No problem, there was a knowledgeable staff person to help me. Also picked up some geraniums and a new garden flag. And there are stands of cards for birthdays, thank yous, - not the ordinary - but unique! I love to get my cards there because they are special and perfect for whom I’m sending them to. From birdseed and feeders to just the right paint or special orders, this store is my go to place! Haven’t been to Lowes or Home Depot in years when I have my Ace Hardware!

Get help not lost. I love Ace Hardware. As soon as I walk into the store there is someone there to help. I have had screws that I thought were perfect only to be told (very nicely) that they are the wrong size. I don’t have to buy a box. I can buy just what I need for my project. They are always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I don’t have to spend hours walking around a big box store and they always offer to carry things to my car. At other stores, I have had employees walk right by me as I am struggling to put heavy objects in my car. Thank goodness another customer offers to help but never an employee. That doesn’t happen at Ace.

Beats shopping Home Depot or Lowe’s!. Check your prices folks! Home Depot and Lowe’s let shoplifters run free. Not Ace. Their stores are on scale, to watch for theft. Which means savings for us. For example, I was shopping for a wheelbarrow. I even had (not now) a Home Depot credit card. Ace Hardware beat the price of Home Depot and Lowe’s by more than $50. The last time I was in Home Depot, a guy ran out the doors with a chain saw, yard blower and a weed whacker. I told the cashier and she said ‘Yeah, there’s nothing we can do.’ I followed the guy with my car and called 911. I got numerous pictures of him. I called Home Depot and they didn’t want the pictures. They had no interest that I called the Police. The cashier said they had ‘facial recognition.’ They weren’t concerned with Police. The representative for Home Depot (that declined my pictures of the thief) told me they had no technology that could do facial recognition. I kept the pictures for about four months. Called Home Depot, one more time, before I deleted them….he said ‘I remember when you first called about the theft, no, I don’t need the pictures.’ And, that’s why Ace Hardware will beat the price. If it’s not available in store, order it to your local store. Don’t support the big box, theft friendly giants. Ace will match the price and send you coupons!

Whitmore Ace. I shop at Ace very often. And most of the reason why I continue to shop at ACE is the excellent employees. I believe two of the ladies in particular are very best at their jobs and extremely helpful in every way. Their names are Jaz and Terry. With great employees like that, they should both be commended and rewarded. I am a bit handicapped and they both have helped me carry stuff and load my purchases. Among other things . Thank you !!!

Service and products. Everyone at the store has been very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. If there’s anything negative about the store would be that they have so many more products out the door in the back right hand corner of the store that I never knew was there. I just assumed that they didn’t carry those items and would drive to the Ace store in Social Circle.

My go-to store for all my needs. Love all the money I save being a member. Happily will drive the extra 10 miles to shop here. The app is great, for the most part. Doesn't always work when I try doing a online order, end up having to use the laptop. One time it glitched and charged me for 2 of the same order. Ordeal was taken care of quickly so it wasn’t a big deal. App has some issues, but works for the most part.

My opinions. I used to go to Lowe’s and Home Depot for most of my “tool” needs. For the past 10 years I have lived near an Ace Hardware and am more than pleasantly surprised. They almost always have what I need, are always glad to see me and my dog, and are very knowledgeable and helpful in providing tips. Finally, did I mention that their prices are competitive? To make it even better, the Rewards Program is a big plus. I now almost always shop at Ace Hardware.

I use ACE. The store has almost everything I need. Much better than wandering around a big box store. When I can’t find what I want the staff is always helpful. I have taken advantage of on line shopping and had the products shipped to my local store for pickup. I am glad to have this store available and will take advantage of the service as much as possible. Thank you for bringing back service.

App is clunky and their customer service/support stinks. Rating is primarily for the app/customer support which is almost non existent. The app is clunky and I have had nothing but problems with it and the reward functionality. I have received nothing but canned/robo confirmations for four emails to support. I spent 90 minutes on hold for a person, was told my issue was resolved and it’s not. My local store is great but the ACE rewards program and app are not worth the pain. UPDATE - 6/30 - Did receive a response from the developer asking me to call and provide feedback. The problem is it’s the same phone number that I spent 90 minutes on hold to resolve my issue and is was not resolved. I’m never calling that number again for any reason.

Great savings on snow plow repair. My snow plow on my ATV had a wallowed out bolt hole…. I thought of a solution to fix it and presented it to your experienced floor Walker .. he took one look and made a suggestion that ended up being not only cheaper but better for the long run! I think it saved me more than $50 in parts and bearings! Thanks Ace! BTW this was 2 years ago and it is still working better than it did when new!!! Ace hardware at 4200 Harrison Ogden Utah

Customer Service. I used to work at a hometown family owned hardware store where they asked if you needed help and we would help them. I see that with your stores more than the larger box stores. The box stores employees will scatter if they see customers and if they don’t know where something is you here that’s not my department instead of learning where things are for next time. Keep up the good work!

Always satisfied customer. I mostly shop at the Palm Springs store. I’m a contractor and time is money. I never waste time at Ace Hardware. They get you to the right person for what you need and they get you going back to your job. They are always pleasant and fun to work with. I have also utilized the Palm Desert store and they are just as helpful. and in my travels, I’ve gone to other Ace stores, and I always get the same results. I leave with a smile. Ace is the Place.

Hometown store. I use Ace for everything I can so that they will be around as long as possible, going against the giants that have no customer service at all. I've never had a bad experience with Ace, you can't carry everything for everybody, and I know that. The only thing about their website, on a very narrow range of items, is trying to find the way Ace has them in their store. But if you have a Manf. name, and a little time, you can still find what you need, and have it shipped to your home directly.

Unable to complete a purchase!. This was truly a uniquely bad experience. Online only price was offered with in-store pick up, therefore sort of forced to use the app to get the discount. Unfortunately, every time I try to complete my purchase, it asked for my phone number. Every time I try to save my phone number, it just did not acknowledge it. After about the fifth time of doing this, I gave up. Went to Walmart instead. Also does not seem to want to remember when you sign into the app, keeps telling me to sign in even though I signed in about 10 times. Complete failure of an app, Ace is literally losing business over this.

I lovvvvvvvvve your Ace Store because the second I walk in, no matter who I talk to or ask for help, I am treated not only verrrrrrrryyyyy professionally, but I feel like I’m completely at home with any and ALL of you👍—- EXCELLENT Customer Service!! If I have any questions, I can easily and quickly get help, with no time constraints at all. Your prices happen to be VERY GOOD AND VERY reasonable and your shelves are very well stocked. When I need anything at all for my home🏡, I go TO YOU!!

absolutely useless. This app repeatedly asks me to link my Ace Rewards account. When I do, I get a message saying “Success! Your Ace Rewards account has been linked.” It then returns me to the home screen, where it fails to recognize that my account is linked and again asks me to link it. I have tried logging in/out, quitting/restarting, and reinstalling the app. None of these options worked. I then called customer service only to be told “we know the app isn’t very useful and it doesn’t work for some people on some devices.” When I told him I was using an iPhone he said “Im sorry, sir.” Don’t waste your time. It’s an exercise in futility and frustration.

An essentially worthless app. Even though I’ve had an account for years, when I try to activate and link my account to this app on my phone, it is not recognized, even after I enter my correct account number. I called customer service and even though they successfully linked the account on the website, they said the phone app is “having issues.” So if I want to use any points or discounts, I just first go to the web site and print out whatever coupons are available. This should all happen automatically with the app. You finally realize that it’s not worth the amount of time and effort to earn their paltry awards, so you give up on the app and maybe even on Ace itself.

My previous trip to ACE…. On my last trip to ACE, I was going to pick up some plumbing supplies, and as time went by, so did my money. Because the plumbing parts were so far back in the store, I had time to browse through everything else. As I was going to the checkout, I looked in my cart to make sure I had everything I needed and what do you know? I had everything I needed and enough for my neighbors too! Thanks a lot ACE! I wouldn’t know what to do without you 😁

No more looking for coupons. I just downloaded the ACE app and am grateful that I did. I love the quick searches for items before i go up to the store and I LOVE that the coupons are automatically added to my wallet. I was always forgetting them at home and then they expired. Now, I even have the option to add them to my Apple wallet which makes checkout and saving $$ even easier. I also love how easy it was to create an account-easier than any shopping app I’ve used.

No good Can come of this. Not only have you slowly dragged your legs fixing the white screen of death. I just embarrassed myself. You sent me both a paper coupon and an app coupon without any notice that they were the same thing. Why would you issue double coupons and let a customer go try and use a paper one only the be told I already did because I used the one in my app. This demonstrates a highly ineffective system you have here. I don’t believe you wish to keep me and my money at your store. After I wasted my physically disabled self energy only to be told my coupon was no good. You have a bad app, and apparently run a bad business.

Design flaw. When you use any of these apps, you select your store. You search and filter - in stock. At the store you selected. Anything outside the search criteria can go at the tail end of the results set from the filter. Not this app. I drive to the store to get something the app found. They don’t have it at that store so I just wasted gas and time. One of the reps showed me that I am supposed to search by store AFTER you get the results. That’s backwards. I try to support the local Ace but I would have saved gas and time if I just drove to the big hardware store first. Crazy

Installed small battery in car fob. I love the store Ace. Everyone there is so helpful and knowledgeable. When I need batteries, I go there and they install them for me. Last week , I needed a small battery for my car fob . One of the guys took out my old battery and put in a new one for me that I purchased there. It’s just a small thing but they make my life easier and are very willing to help . People returned there for not only their products, but for their Wonderful services.

Sundays and Mondays. They are my days off and I am always in Steeles in Cresco. Linda and the rest of the staff are always super friendly and helpful. Love that they kept the property the same and still has the nostalgia that our little town has enjoyed for years. What would be awesome is if they started carrying seed. I think quite a few of the Barrett families have chickens, horses, and other livestock and would like somewhere closer to go for supplies. Thank you.

Very good app. Overall, a very well designed app. Easy to use, and few if any bugs. Switching store locations is a breeze. My only problem with it is the search feature, which really should only knock it down a half a star. The recent searches are all at the bottom of the page, rather than auto-populating when you tap on the search bar. I know it’s nit-picky, but it’s what the majority of search engines use and it’s become second nature. But like I said, overall very good app!

Great Customer Service. We just shopped at the Ace Hardware in Lewisville and had an excellent experience from Isaak who was at the register when we checked out. Before we went into the store Tony the floor supervisor was outside promoting the grills and pizza oven and had samples of how well both worked. He was the nicest and friendliest employee we had ever interacted with. He also introduced us to the store Manager, Jess, who was also very friendly.

Best hardware place in town. No need to go to Carson city anymore , I’m a license landscaper and I used to go to Carson city all the time , now that we have this hardware store here in Dayton is just a few minutes away . The employees are so helpful and friendly, Chris is great so the store manager and assistant manager are good people . I’m there at least 4 to 4 times a week , I’m the summer time I’m there every day, sometimes twice a day LOL …….love this place. Thank you . Satisfied customer.

Snyder’s ACE Hardware deserve 10 STARS. We have shopped at ACE for many years and have always gotten great customer service and 99% of the time they have what we need, if not, they order it for us. During the crazy pandemic the staff at Snyder’s ACE have been FANTASTIC! They are working tirelessly since everyone has time to do home projects etc.. The staff is following Covid-19 guidelines and has made getting our items as normal as possible! I want to thank them all for their hard work!

Easy to use with up to date information. The app gives me current information regarding store and corporate specials. Its easy to find contact info and directions. You can also check to see if they carry a tool or product you might need for home or office. The decorator section makes it easy to visualize my ideas before I act. If you shop ace you should download the app asap!

Ace stand behind you. I love my local Weaver’s Ace Hardware. The people are always extremely friendly, and always helpful. They help you find a little items you might be looking for, where to find them at in the store. They always seem to be giving me a very fair deal on all my purchases. So I can and do trust them in all my interactions. An old fashioned store with old fashion customer’s service in these modern times. Eager and happy to satisfy their customers. Herbie

Needs improvement. Don’t understand why after entering your phone number associated with your rewards account, available rewards, bonuses etc are not available without the customer presenting either the digital or paper coupon. Apparently the only way to access the rewards is to present the paper or digital coupon at the time of sale. If you don’t have your phone with a coupon with you, you’re out of luck. I’ve been to plenty of other stores that have similar programs, and this is never an issue.

Love Ace Hardware. I’ve been going to Ace Hardware for 60 years since my dad took me to Ace Hardware to get my first set of ice skates then later to get skis for my first ski trip in high school. The people are always helpful friendly and greet you at the door. Do you even give my dog a biscuit. I love that they’re usually located right in the neighborhood. It’s a five minute drive to go to them and get anything from outdoors to indoors. They really are the best!!

“The place with the helpful hardware man”. Zeigler’s Ace Hardware is an essential place for me, and though the store seems small, it’s big on the inside. They have everything I need and help me to find things for which I’m looking. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and we learn together. It makes it seem like a friendly place with helpful hardware people. Reminds me of Gee Lumber, on the south side, where I’m from. We used to visit on Sundays after bowling. If it is to be found, it should be found at Ace Hardware.

New management. I’ve always considered this store as “my hardware store” but there is a new assistant manager who seems more interested in disciplining employees than customer service. For instance I was shopping and had a wonderful older gentleman cut some hose for me and my son for a project, we come up front to pay and the cashier couldn’t read the gentleman’s hand writing, when she called over the assistant manager, the manager didn’t even acknowledge us (the customer) but instead he stated “I’m gonna have a talk with him” very angrily. I’m just used to kind, friendly, and helpful employees, and the assistant manager was none of these.

Ace. I have always loved the Ace hardware on Lakewood Ranch. I always go there. You’re employees are so kind and helpful. That makes shopping so easy. I did go today though and I shopped there so much and I had changed purses so I didn’t have the five dollars off. But I think he could’ve looked me up somehow and sees it I always shop there. Therefore, I always get the coupons. So I think he could’ve done a little better.

Ace Hardware in Justin Tx. I honestly buy everything that I need for around the house and even more for my Lawn and Tree business. Without that Ace Hardware Store I wouldn’t have any equipment. I’ve literally bought every piece of equipment for lawn and tree work from 2 stole oil, 5 different chainsaws, blower, trimmer to my 30” turf master and 34” Time cutter has came from that location and list goes way farther. Most of the staff know me and a lot of them know me very well and always work very hard for me every time I’m there

Better service than other hardware stores. Ace tends to be more “neighborhood” stores than other brands. We have one near us that we really like. Easy to get in and out of, and they always have knowledgeable staff on hand to help you find something when you need help. Prices are generally comparable to big stores, but even when they are not, it is usually worth it to avoid crowds, parking issues, and lack of staff when you need help.

Lagging Functionality. As a young homeowner, Ace NEEDS to update and upgrade their app user interface and performance if they want to be a contender in the 21st century. Online & app shopping isn’t just an option anymore, it IS going to be the most important feature. Before I buy anything, I get on all 3 apps, lowes, homedepot, & ace to see which store I should buy from based on product availability and relevance and the easier that process is, the better. I appreciate the small store feel when I walk in and recognize all of the staff, but ace needs to deliver a better, more robust digital experience!

To Fresno AG Hardware - ACE Hardware. Very friendly staff and they are all into their own areas of the store.. they all know their stuff well.. I love this store ( First and Gettysburg) because it is well stocked. Every time I have shopped there I can find all I came for with the help of one of the friendly guy’s that work there! I also love all of the kitchen and great gift ideas.. well stocked cards, canning jars, cleaning sprays, nick nacks and even items you can’t always find at other places! GREAT place to shop and browse around at!

How to videos are great.. I have been thoroughly pleased and impressed by the available instructional videos on the Ace website. Over the years I have not been the handiest person out there, but Ace’s videos have helped me build my confidence as a handyman around the house. I was able to purchase the needed parts at my local Ace Hardware store and to do the work myself. My lovely wife is happy to have the toilet fixed in a timely manner as well. Thanks for the great web site and local Ace Hardware store.

Does the people who oversee the apps see this?. I use to always get rewards coupons every week, every 2 weeks, etc. for the last month (since the last update). I have no seen a single reward pop into the app when I look. Well today it must of forced logged me out of the app altogether. I tried logging in, and it says internal failure! So I cannot get it in. When I go to the website (non-app) and login I can get it in but then it won’t link my account (rewards number) to my account even though I have one and used it many many times. None the less, I went to ACE & bought almost 300 dollars in paint & supplies and couldn’t access the app to see if their was coupons for members like the usual “spent $100 get $20 off” or whatever. So I paid full price. I’m okay with paying if their was no rewards. However their could of been, but I missed it because it won’t let me use the app to clip a coupon. It’s so annoying and if this isn’t fixed I’m done using the Ace app, and will be done using Ace altogether.

My favorite hardware store. Even though Home Depot and Lowes are closer to my house, I will, whenever possible, go to ACE instead. The staff is more available and helpful I have found. And the store is not so massive so I can find items more easily. Plus ACE offers many more coupons and deals. The ACE app is great for this especially. In the other two stores I mentioned, I rarely, if ever, see any coupons or deals. And yet ACE prices are competitive with other hardware stores with what I purchase.

Ace Hardware - Community. We love Ace Hardware, it truly speaks community!! We just recently bought a generator that was delivered at our home. It was a very personable experience . We are seniors and for me it reminds me of walking into a small, friendly place of business like when I was way younger! ( the good old days LOL) and always find what we are looking for. Your staff always acts like they are glad to see their customers!! Thank you for giving back to our community in such a big personal way!! You get a Ten Star from me!!

Useless. It’s very hard to search for anything. The app shows only a fraction of the items available on the website. The website is a pain too, because you can’t do a search based on what is available for pickup at your local store, and most items turn out not to be once you click on them. I like my store but the only way to get something simple like a roll of duck tape is to call them up and ask what they have on the shelf. Also, there was a $5 coupon for downloading the app. It appears on the app as an offer available until the end of the month, but when I tried to use it I found it was only valid for the day after I downloaded the app.

Processes too high. Hi there, I would prefer to shop at your store a lot more often but your prices are just too high on everything. If you’d lower them to much more reasonable prices you’d see your clientele shoot through the roof because people on this side of town would go to your store verses traveling across town to get the items needed from Home Depot or Target for instance….you asked so I’m just sayin’, give it some serious consideration, thanks for asking‼️🌹👍

The app not so helpful. Much is left to be desired on how this app functions. It is very cumbersome and you should hope it doesn’t loose your membership information. I had to jump through many hoops just to get access into the app. There was never a rhyme or reason why my info was totally dumped. I had to bounce back and for between the website and the app to get signed back in. Overall the app does not work seamlessly with the website. I placed a pick up order through the website and several hours later it has not updated on the app. That is disappointing.

My visit today!. Store employees are always willing to help the customer find a particular product. Took me right to the three aisles that I needed to search on my own. Sheila, the cashier is always friendly and cheerful. The approach to the registers has been re-configured abd is much easier to approach to check out. I also used my $10 birthday coupon to purchase three items. Great visit!

Paris Ace Hardware - Foley, AL. Love this place! Great staff, great selection, and great prices. There’s always a warm greeting when you enter the store followed by an offer to help you find what you’re looking for. Know what you want and where to find it? They completely understand and let you go it alone yet they are always available to help with any question you might have. Doesn’t get much better than this!

Why?. So I’ve been a fan of ACE for a long time. Recently an ACE opened up in Aumsville which is way closer to my home shop. I thought Great! But to my surprise the Aumsville store is passing on some Corporate Tax to its Customers. I always used the South Salem store but it is a long way from my home. The South Store Does Not pass this tax onto it customers! I will travel the extra distance due to the Aumsville Stores Tax in a State that has no Sales Tax. Lost a steady customer!

Wow! Great experience!. It’s so nice to go into a hardware store and have several people ask if they can help you ! And, the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. That’s a combination that makes shopping a pleasure. You can go in and try to explain what the “thingamaob” looks like and an Ace employee can practically read your mind and find the part you need. Wonderful customer service!. I absolutely love that no matter when I go into the store there’s always superior customer service. I’ve had to return products I’ve had to have things fixed. I’ve had to change paint colors, and every single time there is excellent customer service people with a smile on their face and willing to help, and I love that because you can’t find that too many places anymore… Definitely my go to Place!!

So Helpful. Ace really does go out of their way to help you. One day I went in with an automatic timer for my water hose. I couldn’t get it to work properly. One of the gentlemen there actually took it outside, unhooked their water hose from the spigot, and put my timer on it the spigot. You wouldn’t find that kind of service at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Ace was freely troubleshooting my problem. As an old ace commercial used to say “Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man” it surely is.

Something DIDN’T has gone wrong!. UPDATE- FINALLY able to log into account with this 11/8 update. Not sure why it took so long, but Thank You developers. Love the in store experience but can’t understand why they don’t fix their app. Been trying for a long time (following Ace Support suggestions) and still cannot link my account. The only reason the app appears to get good ratings is because the App Store allows in store reviews apparently. Expected more from both Ace and Apple.
