AI is awful. This used to be such a great app, but no more. They recently introduced the AI avatar add-ons. They are quite expensive but I tried it. It is very hit and miss. For some, the results were clearly an error. The face and body shape were completely deformed. I reported this to the developer and asked for a credit in order to try again. They denied the request despite the ridiculous results. They blamed the results on my photos, despite following the instructions to the letter. It also didn’t explain the decent results on other AI packages I put through. The fact that these are fairly expensive IAPs makes this doubly disappointing. I’ve supported this dev for about a year and recommended them to many friends. Unfortunately that now stops. It’s disappointing when a dev goes down this road and treats customers this way.

JUST FUN N EASY. I absolutely love Reface! And the customer service could not be nicer. I had a small incident where a piece of art was considered against community standards. Spoke with Customer Service. They instantly fixed the problem, and we’re very kind to help, in a nice professional manner. The exciting thing about Reface is you can share with your friends and make fun videos make people happy and make people laugh; but you also can live out some fantasies, let your inner child out. Haha laughter and connection with those you care about is the best medicine especially, for anyone that might be suffering with chronic pain. This will definitely take your mind off of it, even if just for a little. That’s the best news for anyone suffering with chronic pain, like me. Thank you REFACE for being a lifeline. Literally. A miracle. So, I lost my 22 year old son July 2019 very unexpectedly to Viral Myocarditis and it has been SO HARD on me. I was left to only have the punctures I had. No new memories, then along came this app and it brought my David back to me. Yes, I understand he’s gone and never going to physically be with me anymore. I am not deluding myself. That being said, this app was made for his faceS nearly every one of these I do, his face is PERFECT! I mean, they even get the profile right! This app has been a Godsend to me. It has helped me in the mourning process. I want to thank the creators/developers of this app for not only making it, but making it affordable. I miss David every day, but this helps me tremendously.

Cannot access after purchase. I downloaded this app a few years ago and it was great up until more recently. I purchased a one year subscription and when I tried to access the app it gave a message that this was not available in my region. Why did it allow me to purchase the subscription? I was using it for a week before I received that message when I opened the application. It asks me to pay and subscribe to Restyle application. I don’t want to pay for a different application when I just paid for reface Pro and can’t access it. After I complained about being blocked from access, I was unblocked and able to access reface for 3 days until I was blocked again. Customer service claims that it’s blocked in my region then later I can access it again for 3 days. So I’m guessing they are trying to get me to purchase their new ‘Restyle’ application in order for them to unblock my Reface Pro application? Not cool. I paid for a one year subscription and their only solution is to say reface is not in my region and request a refund. Then later it is unblocked mysteriously and I can access it.

Ruined app. Save your apologies and “compassionate” replies. Just like most things, once the popularity and growth are there, in steps strategic ways to increase revenue. In this case, forgetting what placed you on the map to begin with. You’ve removed movie content, voice feature, and other popular features…not to mention the technical glitches when scrolling through your app. Instead, dissected and redistributed some of these features (I.e. Revive), solely to increase revenue streams. For those who use the app without paying, it’s completely throttled by adds, which more or less forces one to purchase PRO. Of course you don’t stop there though, because even as a PRO member, you must purchase tokens. Unreal. And having the ability t upload your own video is certainly an appeal and can be leveraged in supporting the upgrade, but not when you require additional purchases in top of that. However, that’s an additional feature, and shouldn’t justify removing all the preexisting inventory of content, specifically well known movie bits…but hey, at least you replaced with useless, generic GIFS and crap AI. It certainly is one thing to creatively increase revenue, but not by taking away what got you here in the first place. This greed will be your downfall for sure. Whoever your analyst and strategist are, I hope this was deliberate if so, because this “take the money and run” exit strategy!

Great App… but miss the GIF function. It’s a great app with high end results for downloaded videos (short only) and personal stills. But the one function that was the best is not included in the program anymore : the ability to Reface GIFs. I truly loved being able to download classic old movie GIFs from other search engines and Reface to put family and friends in the place of Chaplin or other characters. It was a daily fun drop in for texts. Reface said they discontinued the function which to me was a serious blow to the fun of the app and its continued use. When my subscription renewal comes up, I may just look elsewhere. Until then, I keep my fingers crossed that the next Reface update restores the function.

Would be 5 star if watermark was removable. This app is crazy fun. The full paid version has a couple shortcomings though. 1) water mark is not removable - why make your users jump through the additional hoops of scrubbing the watermark off outside the app? 2) censoring which videos and photos I can use smacks of big brother oversight. If I want to create a spicy face swap why have you placed yourself in the role of censorship overlord? 3) I’d like to be able to add my own audio soundtracks and not be limited to scrolling through a long list of songs that are well, I think you get the point. Looking forward to developer feedback and keep up the great work!!!

Well it finally sunk to the bottom. I redownloaded this app because my subs almost up and I wanted to make the most out of it before it expires. (I had deleted it months ago because you HAVE to give them access to ALL your photos and metadata which is super invasive on its own.) Well now I turns out they have updated terms and conditions. This app is very anti privacy. They “say” they value it but they don’t. 1. Why do you need to access all the photos in my library? Other apps can function with only the select few I allow them to view. Why do you need to scan my whole library? 2. You do not honor DO NOT TRACK. Which is fine for me I have a vpn, I block third party cookies, and I have other tracker blocking software. But for other people you know their exact location. Why? 3. You are keeping biometric data now from what I understand? Why? 4. Why do people have to have a private conversation with you about your anti privacy practices? Why not just put the reasons in the replies to these complaints? You clearly don’t want us to have privacy why do YOU need privacy? Really glad I deleted the app. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for a company to make money and NOT track people uniquely. It’s like companies have forgotten how to profit pre-internet and don’t understand people value their privacy.

Not letting me use the Pro version 😡😡. Im having an issue thats not letting me use the Pro version of this. I went to subscribe to it when it asked me and after it said “purchase was successful”, I pressed ok and it got stuck in an infinite loading screen. I restarted the app but after I opened it, it still didn’t have me in the Pro version so when i went to click on the Pro message at the top again to try to subscribe again thinking it was a glitch, the Apple message pops up saying I’m already subscribed, so when I press ok, your message pops up saying that the purchase was unsuccessful. Its very aggravating cause It shows in my subscriptions on my iPhone that my trial has already started but when I go into Reface, it still doesn’t have me in the Pro version. I really do think you guys created a great app cause the way the AI integrates any face into a video or GIF etc is insane, but it would be nice to use your free trial......if it worked! That’s why I'm taking off a couple stars. If you could fix this in the future, that’d be awesome, but I'm annoyed that my free trial is being wasted because your app is not allowing me to use it. Could use some work.. It's a nice app for the most part, but after using it for almost a month, I've noticed quite a few flaws. The limit of 640p gifs is extremely limiting, and makes the end result look not so great. Straight up limiting it to gifs in the first place is a real bummer, because it's harder to find gifs for a lot of what people would use this app for. MP4s or WeBMs would be great additions in the App, and would guarantee a resubscription from me. I'm not saying bump up the resolution supported to 4k (as nice as that would be) but like 900p or somewhere around there would definitely assist with the compatibility. Also a feature to assist the face finding, like pin pointing where the eyes are, or upgrading how it locates it would be perfect. Thank you for the product, and thank you for reading my review.

Wow I am surprised. I thought this was gonna be one of those cheap apps. I would use if for the free 3 days then cancel boy that is not happening . Been on it 3 hours it’s so fun. No watermarks no restrictions again wow. All my friends I send a clip to say how you do that I lie and say it took two weeks of tedious work but I did it because I love you. Lol I’m gonna have to tell them because they will not stop asking .I know such a app was coming did not think it would be this great and simple to use. I can see them doing like tikt and letting you edit in the future doing longer clips and everything. Absolutely love it. After I’m done showing off I’m going let everyone know about it hats off to the developers and again thanks for no watermarks and so much content. This is one app I’m happy to pay for.

Charged for free trial. This app requires a subscription to use, however it offers a free trial if you opt for the one year subscription. In the terms, it specifically says the trial is 3 days long, and you will not be charged for the year subscription as long as it is cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the billing cycle. So I picked this option for the free trial and tried the app for about 10 minutes. For the time it takes to render a new gif, with a face swap, the app is impressive. But I was underwhelmed with the end quality and can produce much better items with my current software, albeit with much longer rendering times or time spent editing frames. I canceled my subscription via my Apple account in settings, deleted the app, and moved on. Only to then notice an alert from my bank. I was charged immediately for the purchase of a year subscription. We’re not breaking the bank with $25, but that’s flat out false advertising and malicious. Now I’m dealing with refund request from Apple and a stop payment order from my bank. Way to much hassle for this.

Should be called the ad. The free version of this joke is so heavily infested with ads that seem to go on for 20 minutes each, that is virtually unusable. Unless you’re willing to consider paying the ridiculously high recurring monthly or annual fee, don’t waste your time with this. Edited in response to the developer’s response: I understand the need for a paid version. My point was that there really is no free version, as the so-called free version is just pretty much one continuous ad after another. And the paid version is so overpriced that it is not a consideration for me. If the free version had a less crushing amount of ads, or the paid version was a little more reasonably priced, we might have a deal. As it is, no sale. Maybe I am the exception and other people are more accepting of the number of ads and/or the cost of the paid version. As it is, I think that you are a little too greedy and the prospects of your company surviving long-term with the current business model are somewhat limited. As I said, I could be completely wrong. Time will tell.

Unknown Error - Update. ••Updated Review••3 minutes later Deleted and Downloaded the app again and voila it worked, and as promised I have changed my rating! So excited to start using the App! ••First Review••I want to say first, I’d would love to use this app. It seems fun and something I’d enjoy messing around with. However, I attempt (many times) to add a photo by either camera roll to taking a photo and would get “unknown error” every time. I was unable to locate a clear resolution for the issue I’m having so I’m basically unable to use the app. I’m sorry for the low rating I hope the issue is resolved and then I will happily change my rating.

Need More Black Faces & Visuals Promoted. There are not many options to chose from when it comes to African Americans. Whenever I search black woman it doesn’t nearly have as much variety for us as there are for everyone else. A lot of them are just gifs made by Tenor. There are entirely too many amazing black film visuals from this century and the last to only have a select few on here. It’s frustrating having brown skin and using reface on someone with lighter skin because it doesn’t really look like me. I want to see selectionS (notice it’s plural) for us on PRO & the “Loonnggg Videos”. Why are majority of the people on PRO of lighter complexion? I believe there should be diversity in skin tone when promoting them. Besides that, I love using this app and it’s the best one in its category so far, just remember it’s 2021 and people want to see representation for EVERY race. Thanks!

Neat and a lot of fun. The app mostly works very well. If the character moves too quickly the face slides, which is a mix of humorous and frightening, but otherwise it is a lot of fun. Interestingly, it works well with video game characters such as Noctis or BDO characters as well as real people. My only real complaint at this time is that you can’t favorite all content and there is no way to mute the app without turning the volume down on my phone. I like to listen to music and play with the visuals of the app and it won’t let me do both because I can’t mute the app. Also a pain if I forget to turn down the sound on my phone in public. Otherwise great app. Lots of fun.

Pro user from the beginning .. When I first got onto this app three years ago, it was fantastic. I subscribed to the pro version right away because it was well worth the money. I especially loved being able to take the songs and making pictures animate and Sing those songs. So why my bad review? Because over the last few years, everything‘s been cheapened down. The music three years ago was the actual music from the popular artists… Whitney Houston, Bee Gees… etc… Now, more and more it’s just music of unknown artists doing “ covers” for the real artists and it just sounds unauthentic and awful. Or they’ve had to change the tone of the real artists because probably of copyright issues. A pure cheap imitation. A ton of the animations ( with the new music or the added songs ) are absolutely horrible. Face are contorted, and not even in sync with the music. Whoever did the editing for the AI back in 2021?? That was the best. Now it’s absolute trash. It doesn’t look good at all. The eyes are all bugged out and weird. Mouths are all rubbery, and it doesn’t even look like their mouthing the specific words. A majority of the times I have gone through a tone of them and they are just horrible and it wasn’t like that three years ago. Seriously. What happened to you guys?

Growing Problems. First off, this app is great. I subscribed the day I tried it. But as the app added more content, the problems began. I get trying to make it better, but don’t do it at the cost of the app crashing or not working at all. Maybe slow down and do a little bit at a time, making sure the changes work before sending them out. My whole family has this app and enjoy it immensely. But this past weekend (Nov 6th-Nov 9th 2020) this app worked for a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, until the problems are fixed my family and I are going to drop the app. I really hope you can fix the problem or problems. I’ll check back in a month or so. If it’s fixed before then, let people know about it.

Incredible, fun and impressive app. As a software developer it takes a lot to impress me. So many apps want money to even try something. Let me tell you this app blew me away and I had zero hesitation about subscribing to it. The face swap video music function is the best I have ever seen. It impressed me right from the start. I did one as a test and that was it I was sold. Not only can it do one person's face but two. I had my best friends parents singing in the video. Now if only they can get it to capture animals faces to sing. Incredible selection of music to choose from. Job well done guy's.

The App is great, but.... I want to be clear that I absolutely love this app. No question. The reason for the three stars though is that I really really don’t like when companies cross the line into taking a stand on a world event or an outside situation that has nothing to do with the company or service. In this case the bandwagon of #StandWithUkraine. I support the safety and welfare of all the innocents in Ukraine 100%. But I will not even update my Reface app as long as it chooses to make political changes to its app. Because first it starts with an icon change and eventually it expands to areas it shouldn’t. All companies need to remain neutral. Otherwise problems arise.

Update:. I think reface should keep the audio in the background of re-voice just to give it a more realistic appeal. For example, it would be better to hear the the audience in the background clapping or laughing while the sound of the users voice is telling a joke. In addition, the app should include a full body tracking feature. So one day I tried to perform an action and put a female celebrity’s face on me, being that I’m a male. That didn’t work. 🤦‍♂️ I’d rather use full body tracking to influence my subject without compromising his or her physical appearance. With regards to reface, there are instances when I tried swapping faces but sometimes the end result doesn’t look good. This has prompted me to use a third party app called FaceApp to enhance the look of the face which brings me to my final suggestion: A new feature that allows us to enhance our appearance after we swap faces of someone else in both photo and video. That’s not all, this feature may also enhance ones clothing style. Ever looked at yourself in the mirror and wished you not only had a great looking face, a better looking outfit that actually looks awesome on you in addition to that? Well that’s the type of feature I’m talking about. With just a tap here and there, this new feature will switch you from wearing your typical dated outfit to a new designer suit in a flash along with a better looking face and hairstyle. The name of this new feature I’m thinking of is called: “Reflection”.

So bad.. I got this app earlier today. When I go in it immediately gives the option for pro yearly or I think monthly and only those two options. then after a minute it so there is a button to X out of the screen. Nothing is free in this app. At all. Every thing I picked was a 7.99 free to create 48 avatars. So against my better judgement I paid the 8 bucks. It took 45 MINUTES to generate the avatars after you upload 6 photos of yourself. I just went back in and I’ve never seen anything more useless. Not a single avatar looks like me. It’s blonde red hair color, I have dark brown hair. Green eyes. I have brown eyes. Every picture I uploaded was of me and only me, no other people or pets. ONE of the pictures I have blonde highlights in my dark brown hair. Not sure how every single avatar has blonde red hair. Nothing even similar to me, I can’t even use these avatars. I thought ok the cartoon version isn’t for me then. I went to try another, noir, and it’s asking me for another 8 bucks!! Do not waste your money in this app. It’s a scam.

Solid application, just a few inconveniences. Reface is a solid application to replace faces, supporting static images, animated GIFs, and videos. It has a wide variety of tools, and its curated content often puts a smile on my face. Room for improvement exists: images are only output as JPGs, and often the tint shifts ever so slightly based on the color space of the replacement face. One item of note: be careful of relatively monotone colors; the "appropriateness" filter will often mistake images that are perfectly acceptable because the colors of clothing are too close to skin. Nevertheless, it's a solid application in my workflow; I bought a year's license, and I look forward to its continued growth.

BEST face swap app out there! Unbelievable quality and tons of fun videos!. Before this app I downloaded another similar one called “Facebrity,” which didn’t have nearly as many options and charged $5 a week for membership. This version is half the price and sooooo much better! It doesn’t look fake, as long as you have a good photo it actually looks really nice! I am so happy I found this app and I would strongly recommend it to anyone on the fence about getting a subscription... splurge!!!! I can’t imagine myself keeping an active subscription permanently because that’s just a lot of money for content I’ll probably never really use for anything, but here and there it’s a lot of fun and I’ll renew it in the future :)

Uno reverse card mr. app developers😎. I bought the app about like one or two years ago, and I could use features to help me in making videos, but I feel like over the course of the few months after this whole AI thing, it’s like the app was the was a bucket that was kick down the hill. now it feels like you have to use premium or pro mode for everything and I don’t want to use money on the app and I bet most people don’t either, so please app developers can you please make it where at least some of the original things are free. EDIT The app developers gave me a response, and you know what I say. I have never spent a single penny on this app so I was already practically using the free version of the app and as I said, I can’t do anything because everything is for pro so app developers there you go and remember to send me another response another AI generated or premade response if it was premade is probably made like years ago like most companies that do not have a soul, do!

Can no Longer Use My Subscription Because Ads Won’t Go Way. I used to love this app and have had it for a couple of years. However, this time I’ll be cancelling and not renewing because it has essentially turned into a scam where I’ve got a subscription I can’t use due to ads that I can’t get past. For the last several months, whenever I’ve tried to do a face swap or take any other action, an ad for a game launches. That wouldn’t be so bad, except there is no way to get past the ad. It never ends and you can’t close it, or “x” out of it. You can’t even watch the ad to the end and finally get back to using the app. The ad is just all there is— no more reface app. I don’t know if it’s different with the pro version (which, actually I thought I had), but I won’t be paying to find out. I’ve already paid for a subscription I’ve been unable to use for a couple of months and I won’t keep doing that again. Ads I can live with, but ads that prevent me from even using the subscription I’ve paid for have turned a fun product into nothing but a scam.

They kinda screwed us…. I was one of the earliest users of Reface. And I’ve owned the lifetime license for a long time. I’ve always REALLY appreciated that they offer a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. It’s been my favorite thing about the app. However, I just launched it to do a voiceover (to make a photo sing) and I noticed that a bunch of the sounds they typically have — including the one I use the most (“Trollololo”) — are gone. And then I realized they moved them to their other app “Revive,” which would cost ANOTHER lifetime purchase to use. That’s not cool guys. I bought this app when it had certain things in it, and you’ve taken those things, but them in your new app, and then made them “Pro Only” features in the new app. That’s super lame, and the first time I’ve ever felt like they, as a company, did something dirty. It’s a bummer. I probably would’ve bought the new app for all its additional content, but I’m not gonna do that now, on principle, because they locked away content I already paid for. Not cool. (Also, I don’t know how this STILL isn’t a feature, but you gotta add the ability to SEARCH through the music/soundbites! In both apps. After all this time, I still have to scroll and scroll and scroll to find soundbites that I was using constantly.)

Great potential but still needs work. As others have said, this app is amazing when it consistently works, but it currently has two MAJOR issues: 1) it almost always crashes when you scroll down your own gif library too fast (regardless of how many you have) 2) The app’s “inappropriate” filter is beyond horrible and needs so much work. I have had countless gifs blocked as “inappropriate” despite literally nothing being wrong. If the gif has someone showing any skin outside of the elbow/knee range then odds are your gif will get blocked too. Literally no other app like this has this issue yet they keep saying “this filter is to keep up with Apple guidelines”...

Rip the old version of this app. The quote on quote privacy policy standards ruined this app all im saying is if you have the expectation of thinking every single gif is free if you purchase the subscription that claims gifs are unlimited its not true and all they gonna say is that we dont allow certain gifs on our platform that contains lewd content etc when they literally have all sorts of lewd content for use on the app itself??? So called inappropriate content Is literally a search away within the app itself and there was a extensive period in time when this app would let you do what ever you wanted and the app never was taken down by apple or anything to that sort. Listen just get rid of the restrictions it’s not what many people have paid for it’s such a bait and switch to claim I can use any gif if I pay then tell me I cant use certain gifs. App would be a 10 if y’all just added the old version of this app back I swear maybe yall should have a website were you can have more freedom to use whatever gif no matter the material just a thought.

Used to love the app. Not so much anymore.. Everything was fine when I could reface people without there being any political commentary or hashtags watermarked onto my content with its removal locked behind a paywall. Just because a lot of people support something, it doesn’t mean I have to be forced to support it to. That should be an option, not a requirement, to use this app. I didn’t have to spend money before, because I suffered through the ads. I’m not gonna allow myself to suffer with all of my content getting branded by something I didn’t agree to put there in the first place. Until #standwithukraine becomes *optional* instead of *mandatory*, I cannot support this app. We use these apps as a form of escapism from the real world, and now that option’s pretty much gone. Disclaimer: It’s not that I don’t stand with Ukraine, but to take away my choice in the matter is very totalitarian and un-American.

What happened? Change back.. Just like the previous review, I also initially downloaded this app around a year ago. I had a blast swapping my face with various videos superhero’s. It’s been a while since I’ve had some free time, so I was looking forward to using this app with my baby nephews face. But the app is totally different now, a complete night and day difference than what it was around a year ago. This app is unrecognizable and not user friendly at all. Just like the previous review, I agree the new search engine is completely useless and annoying, you will not be able to search for anything you want, just brings up random images. I will be deleting this app and looking for an app that does what this app used to do. Don’t waste your time, they really think people are willing to spend more than $20 to use this app, get real.

Love The App But It Lost A Star. As far as a fun app, to me, this is even more fun than any game. I’ve been having so much enjoyment that I became a weekly subscriber. One complaint though, that forced me to take away a star is the refacing of my own Gifs, its AI catching some as “inappropriate” despite nothing being inappropriate in any way. Actually one it found was someone doing a ballet arm movement, another, someone leaning forward and standing straight up. No nudity or risky attire of any kind, not even sound or use of copyright music material. And while I personally don’t convert anything of the adult nature, since it’s a private app people should post what they want. I tried contacting support but since it’s Friday they’re closed until Monday. To close, it’s very good but can use some improvements. I won’t be keeping it forever but for now it’s great fun.

Great app but..... I genuinely like the app I think it’s genius! Except for a few things. I’ve noticed that the app would change your face into something that doesn’t really look like you. For a while I wondered why until I found out that it actually depends on the face shape. I have a round face and I’m from Latin America so most faces look weird when I use it however I’ve noticed that most Indian faces fit me. I was just wondering, and hoping, if there could be more range of face shapes on this app. Also I’ve noticed when I try to add a photo of a face it doesn’t frame it like if you would take a picture of yourself and it would mostly say an error has occurred. I hope this could be used in improving the app :)

Waste of space. I’ve had this app for a while, me and my friends all had it and sent each other silly stuff constantly. Recently we checked in on the app to see how it was, it’s a total dumpster fire. All the remaining videos and GIFS that are on the site are just cringe. It’s either some weird GIF of a guy doing a weird dance or it’s half naked women doing tiktok dances. Utter garbage, the app used to be just fine. I understand that maybe this app needs money or requires 3rd party content. But removing all copyrighted stuff from the app really sent this to the bottom. Unfortunately I have entirely lost interest in this app and will not be recommending it again in the future. Figure out what you’re doing wrong guys. Until that happens, you’re getting nothing but poor reviews from people. Word to the wise: if you make a decision that everyone hates, and you did it because you need more cash. Then you’re gonna lose cash because nobody is gonna come back to your app.

Inappropriate filter not working properly. This app has flagged several of my videos as possible in appropriate contact when the only thing in the video is a dog now I know it will re-face dog photos but apparently videos it doesn’t it also Said that a picture of my daughter playing with the dog was inappropriate when in fact nothing about that video that was inappropriate most of it you only see her hand with a squeaky toy playing with the dog and of course my daughter was fully dressed I’m going to give this app less stars because I don’t think it should have an inappropriate filter that flags videos that have nothing inappropriate in them that makes it hard for me to enjoy the service when it stops me from enjoying it first of all it’s a paid service so adults are paying for it last time I checked an adult can do whatever they want I’m 40 years old and I certainly don’t need an app telling me that my daughter playing with a dog is inappropriate

Good app but it could be great. The algorithim you guys use to determine if a picture violates your standards needs to be loosened up. I use this app enough that it gets annoying when you reject pictures that dont show nudity or anything sexual. I only use this app for the face swap feature. It used to be its own standalone app called, reflect that app was shut down, and you integrated it into this app. I was a much bigger fan of reflect because it had no adult filters. That’s the only thing keeping me from giving you a five star rating though with your fix that the rest of the app is really quite good. I use it every day for sure.

App is Cranky. I’d purchase but when using the product I try to post to Facebook and get messages like these: something about connection and then a message that the file size is too big. The 3rd outcome is that the item posts but the video and GIF doesn’t work - it’s a still photo. So in essence it doesn’t work correctly with Facebook. I’ve saved the videos and GIFs to my videos on my iPad (I cannot email them to myself) and then I again try to post to Facebook and it doesn’t work properly. I can send the videos and GIFs to other thru Messenger. I used to be a paying customer of JibJab and never had this issue. So unless the Reface app can work, there’s no sense in paying for it. (Yes I’ve cleared my iPad cache and have cleared the safari website memory and I’ve even rebooted the power on the iPad and the app is still unusable on Facebook. Now my iPad is not brand new however I still have approximately 75% of available memory in it. I’ve sent messages to your staff over your reface app and no one there seems to be able to give me the correct direction of what to do to get this to work properly.

Don’t purchase pro!! Fraud. I wouldn’t purchase pro at all not even for there so called weekly discount price, I used to love this app im not saying the app doesn’t work it works great but when I paid for the. Pro everything was smooth sailing then within 24 hours later when I get back on its asking me to purchase the pro weekly again after i just did 24 hours ago and then the customer service chat just says o wait till it’s out of pending I’m like I’ve been using the pro for over 24 hours the money came out my account, then the next day I sent the receipt of purchase from apple and then they say delete app then restore to no avail then just gonna say try to get refund just shooed me over I hope 4.26 was worth it cause u lost a consistent custom ive purchased this at least 9 times this year and last year I bought it for a year and then u gonna take my money let me use it for 24 hours and then delete me like I never paid girl. Bye. Purchased at your own risk

Avoid like a plague. I had unsatisfactory experiences with their paid AI generated services in the past; and yet against my better judgment I tried it again! This time I submitted 6 pictures and paid for professional AI generated headshots, as advertised! After about 45 minutes the outcome was horrendous! The pictures were unreal, damaged and disassembled! I tried to contact customer service and been told by Maksym that despite the faulty pictures (I sent him both originals and the AI generated pictures) I am not eligible for a refund!!!! In my opinion regardless of the amount in question, this is a matter of principles and good, honest business! I will continue to follow up this matter to make sure no more customers fall into this trap! Update: the developer wrote a generic response and asked to continue the dialogue! Ok, fine! I want a refund for your horrible and useless service! If my feedback is important and you are sorry for providing bad services! Then here you go! Otherwise stop writing misleading responses and stop pretending you care about your victims!

Great app with worst possible use of personal data. I love the app, it is entertaining, and fun as heck to use. What I will be deleting the app over is the use of personal data i.e. biometric that is stored for a minimum of three years on their servers? There is no reason for that other than tracking and creating a database of peoples faces for tracking and possibly more nefarious governmental purposes. Any government agency can demand that information or hack it and your unique biometric data is gone. Just what you would want a government like Russia or China having… Eliminate the storage policy of biometric data and this is a 5 star app

Problem with videos. This is the best by far at realistic face swapping ; it’s amazing. However when I choose, say, a 2 minute video it only creates about the first 10 seconds of video. Tried it on several videos. They are also EXTREMELY strict on “appropriate content. “ My wife has tried to use some PG rated photos and time after time had them rejected. No other swap face app does this. These are not photos we are trying to upload in any public location. Also I have had a problem for a couple of months where if I use the contact help button ( for example to ask them to look at a G rated photo and un-block it, I get an error. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, I’ve cleared my history nothing works. It also started freezing and requiring a restart.

Great concept, needs to be more reliable. First off...really fun idea, I’m having a lot of fun with this. My major gripe is that the app keeps having goofy problems. First, it wouldn’t let me load my own gifs. Then it worked like a dream for about a month. The last couple weeks, it seems like it can’t handle my gif library and you can’t scroll past the first few visible rows before it crashes, and you could only use the most recently saved ones. And since yesterday, it now crashes as soon as I go to the gif library altogether, which is REALLY a problem, because now you’ve kind of rendered the app useless if that’s going to happen. I’m not a tech guy, I don’t know the ins and outs, but the number one thing I need improved is the app’s ability to not overload and crash. Fix that, and you’ve got an excellent product here, which is why I’m keeping the rating friendly, but as of the current moment, the app is zero stars to me as I can’t use it for its most important purpose to me as it’s advertised that I should be able to do. Please fix ASAP! Thanks!

Don’t get this app. i used to love this app. it was genuinely so fun and i used to use it all the time to like make my friends laugh and stuff, but per usual they starting making EVERYTHING cost money. i used to be able to upload any pic i want to so i can like reface it myself but then they made u pay for it. i find that so ridiculous because that’s obviously the best part and i just know that people would be upset. currently, i redownloaded the app to see if they changed it or something and low and behold they make the whole section where u upload a picture, make it lip sync, and basically control all of it cost money. that is the most stupidest thing ever. no one’s going to want to use your app now because you can’t even do anything fun with it. don’t get this app because your just gonna be disappointed and ur going to waste your time.

You have to pay for some features.. When I first got this app I loved it. I had the pro subscription and was pleased. Then one day I noticed that some of the features I liked were no longer on the app. The voice over and others that I mainly used. Just gone and nothing put in their place. The avatars are cool and once you have a subscription you can make your own for more money. They are not included. Most try to make their apps better but unfortunately this one went way down. They also sized down the variety of choices for the face animation. Look for another app that will include major features and not make them unavailable after you have paid. I had the pro subscription so I paid the yearly subscription fee. If you want avatars it is extra and not included in subscription

Changed. Edit : I’ve left this review previously and their team reassured me that they are working on a quality update for the swapping filter but after reading the recent reviews of people who left the same reviews and received the same response about two months ago i’m starting to get a little scared that this may not be true. This app was amazing a month ago it was 100% perfect until recently it updated and i’ve noticed the changing filter isn’t as strong anymore . It used to change your face shape a bit more and show your features more strongly . I miss when the filter was stronger. I loved the old version 😭 but it’s still a pretty solid app I really hope you guys can fix it back to how it was if that’s possible. i thought i was wrong until i saw someone else say that the swapping filters have been watered down. I would really really love for this app to go back to how it was when the swapping would show more of your own features including face shape, eyebrows, eyes, lips, etc than the ones on the face you’re swapping with. I compared some of my swapped faces from july and now and back in july the features were so much stronger. I will most definitely subscribe once you guys fix this situation i love this app and i wish to have it back to how it was… Pls fix it or let me know if it can be fixed so i can resubscribe again once it is fixed.

Ok, but not for Asian eyes!. Living in China, I have many students in my class who are Chinese. I was trying to do a project where I swapped out their faces on historical photos. Even when the circle photo was face onto the camera, and I just wanted to swap out my student face that was exactly the same pose, it kept wanting to do something strange to my students eyes. It kept making them very anime like almost like the upside down smiles. Even if my students ever uniquely shaped eyes, it did not like their eyes. So for whatever reason, the developer should probably work on how this program uses Asian eyes and the way they are shaped. Why change the shape so drastically? Ended up not looking like most of the people I was trying to use.

Disappointed….. ….I love this app. I really do. It works great and it’s super fun and when it first came out a little over a year ago I tried it and as a loyal customer I paid for a full year of access. Well I’m giving a 3 instead of 5 rating because now I see that for $10 more u can purchase LIFETIME access and I must say as a avid user and major promoter of this app because I think I probably showed at least 20 people the first week I had this app, how awesome it was, I feel cheated and taken advantage of. my subscription ended last month and now I have to pay $35 when I paid $25 last year when there was no lifetime option! so why is it that there isn’t a better option for people who have been loyal consumers of your app? I want to like it. I really want to like this app. I’ve so far made a few videos. However, I’m having so many issues with this app. 1) when it says I need to watch an Ad to reface, I’ll happily watch the ad and when the ad is over, it makes me watch the add over and over again and it doesn’t let me reface at all. 2) when an ad is automatically shown to me before refacing, the ad will play and when it is over my screen is blank and there’s no video. There is sound though. I’ve re-downloaded the app and reset it multiple times but there’s just so many bugs it makes it near impossible to work. If I select to watch an ad to reface, that is a trade. That is a form of “payment” or “agreement” to get something in return. I suggest looking into this before this turns into a legal issue in which people are not getting what they paid/traded for. Not saying I would do anything but you never know about other people!

Not as good at mapping Asian faces. Overall this app is pretty good, but there are a few issues. My first issue is that when I apply my face(I’m Chinese) it looks similar to me but not quite like me. It appears to be changing my eye shape and getting rid of my double eyelid. I tried another app called iFace, which doesn’t do this, and looks much closer to me( I have done the exact same scenes with the same photo in both apps and the results are noticeably different). This isn’t really a problem with my Caucasian friends. I also have problems with finished videos just being a black screen, and I have had problems where I watch an ad, but it kicks me back to the main screen without letting me face swap. Other than that, cool app!

No internet connection. Saw this app on the App Store and read a few reviews and it was rated very well. I downloaded the app and opened it up and it asked to create a selfie shot to take a photo of yourself. Each time I tried it came back telling me no internet connection even though I had just downloaded the app. For some reason it could not connect to the internet even though I was connected. It may have a bug so I uninstalled it

Great but. I loved this app, it’s a lot better then I had expected when I used it but a few thing I wish to come is a way to upload our own gifs but I have heard that it may be coming soon but one big thing I would loved to see if there could be a way to have a person hands oh there faces e.g.🤭 🤫🤔but if we are not there yet or if it takes up way to much time I can understand but in overall loved the app Update Still love this app I feel it has gotten so much better with the update I also have purchased the “bro” I feel that it’s ok but I would like to say something about “bro” when trying to upload a gif it takes way to long I haven’t had a chances to upload one as it’s way to long also why can’t I have a thing it have a feature where you you let it load and go off but I can understand if it to hard or anything but overall still love it but please fix uploading gifs

Ads. You still haven’t fixed the problem the ad is still cutting the corners. The team did not resolve the problem after releasing this update. And the problem is still there I can’t use. This just needs to be re-fixed again like deal with the ads. I really want to upload more vids on reels on FB. It’s not just that you’re letting down on everyone who is Reface fans.

Good fun, amazing graphics. Unbelievable technology and very amusing. Not all gifs work, beards play havoc but a very small negative. I pay the monthly subscription and believe the price is good. Some people grumbling but would spend that on a coffee or drinks without thinking twice. Looking forward to the next features as I think this will get even better. One thing is the premium videos should be accessible or at least have the ability to save your favorite. I get an idea and go back to get one and it is gone.

App is broken. Great app for some fun to mess around with. I subbed to the fee ages ago, but their new feature of the AI function is a one time fee of $12-13 per use. Thought I’d give it a go, and now it comes up with errors every time I launch the app. Keep my $12 mate as it’s clearly broken (along with my paid sub) and use it to help fix something. If not fixed by November 30 I’ll cancel the sub.

Was okay, then it just got worse.. The app was okay befor despite being tragically slow and buggy with long ads that start with sound on despite your phone being on silent and you get a heavily watermarked image. Now, the most basic use for it where you upload a photo and change the face is paid only. The app is now useless. Plenty of others out there!! It was already average - Half the time the “free” download never shows up even though it’s been weeks since you used it. So you have to watch long boring ads only for it to take 3 or 4 minutes to try and load the video, and quite often it would have an error and you’d have to start again. 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️ Don’t bother now… it was a slow spiral to being useless.

My Favourite App. I have had this app since it's early release and absolutely love it! It is fun and constantly being updated with new videos, pictures etc. Worth every penny in subscribing to the full version. I will continue to do so as long as the app is constantly updated with new content. Great job guys!!!!!

Used to be amazing. There doesn’t seem to be as much variety of pictures/ gifs/ vids to use. I’ve tried searching multiple movies/actors ect but it says no results. It’s all cartoony looking AI now and everything costs money with no free options. Not to mention the ads playing cropped so I can’t skip past it when it’s finished playing. I don’t know what’s happened but where this app used to be incredibly fun it has gone down hill and I’m searching for new alternatives.

Great app. This app is so much better than I’d thought it would be. Well worth becoming a bro and helping to make it even better. The addition of being able to swap faces and then go back and swap another without having to scan the gif again is a great way of producing the same gif with different faces quickly. I’d love to see the ability to use longer gifs but I understand the constraints of memory etc so I guess we will have to see. This seems like the beginning of some great AI. Can’t wait for the next update. M

Good app but ads crash the app. The app works well and I’m all for ad supported apps, but when the ads crash the app it’s very frustrating! The unity ads are ok and you can close those after they have annoyed you for a while but the other ad provider just crashes the app and puts a dark opacity over the ad and you cant exit the ad no matter what you do. The app needs to be forced closed and restarted to get out of it and when you use it again just pray you get a unity ad and not the other one.

It was amazing but not now. It was really an amazing app and i used to post the videos i make on fb even. But now, i dont know what is that happening. The video doesn’t apprear after i watch the ad don’t know why!!

Less features for unsubscribed users. I’ve used this app several times over the past few years and have just reinstalled it only to discover that there is not much content that one can use for face swapping unless one purchases a subscription. Which is a shame because beforehand, the app was enjoyable to use with the wide range of content available. Now, it is not likely that I will keep this app on my phone for very long

It’s OK. Its a great app, but out of the blue, every time i tried to download a FREE image, it said that I ran out of free downloads even if I haven’t downloaded anything. And it recently started saying that if i want to face swap with my own photos, I have to go pro which I don’t want to do. Its extremely annoying.

Great til in app ads. Works great until the in-app ads black screen the app. I can hear the music track but screen is black after an advert times out.

Aces. I wasn’t expecting this to work even half as well as it does. Just spent a solid hour playing around with it and making gifs of my friends as Avengers and other pop culture characters. Surprisingly good app! The only things I’d like to see in future updates is the ability to search for gifs with keywords, and possibly even upload more gifs yourself (but I understand the technology might not support that second point). Overall, good work, devs!

Wrong pricing. If you want to use AI, DO NOT pay for the pro version. They don't specify anything on the app, Pro does not give you access to everything. AI will cost $12 per time you use it. There's not temp to see the quality or anything. Just a "trust me" template. I'm cancelling my subscription cause PRO is just gimmick photos. So they win when it comes to my money. Don't make the same mistake.

They steal photos. My photos are being used in this app without my permission. I’m furious! There’s many other models & influencers in there I’m sure have not given permission either. Terrible business!!! The app is so expensive & you're making money from stolen photos when a professional would pay models or buy stock photos!!!! I was finding my photo with randoms faces on it all over Instagram & now I know why!!!! Edit** I have contacted them but have had no response. I find it funny that they respond to this review but not to my email.

Internal failure. I loved to use this App, but honestly now it’s really annoying me to keep upload a new selfie and it notifies me like “sorry we had to delete some of your faces”. Everything has been getting worse since app updating. Hard reset the mobile phone or App do not fix this issue.

App keeps crashing with “Unknown Error “. I WAS having some fun but now this app fails with the above title and there’s no way in the app to contact the developers. I think it MAY have something to do with the ads. I watch one while refacing and the program dies or freezes. Please fix. I have a 6th generation iPad.

Good but not exactly like in the advertisement. Dear Developers / Creators / Readers, I love this app, but it’s not doing what it says it would do in the advertisement. Most of the ad is true, but what confuses me is swapping faces with objects. It says in the ad that you can swap faces with anything. I have not found any section or button that allows me to swap faces with an object. When I try with the other features, it doesn’t work. When I got to the help section, all that comes up is how to swap faces with your favourite movie characters, and that doesn’t help. Please fix this. Have a nice day.

Disappointing. Paid for a week subscription hoping to find a fun way to wish my dad happy birthday. There wasn’t really anything appealing for his aged group (60-70 year old) I would have liked to see some more old movies and characters. Get Smart, Fawlty Towers, etc. also using his face as a photo wasn’t really effective. I’m sorry I paid for this app.

Raythorn. Very cool app do a lot of my own photos swapping faces it’s lifetime subscription I’m glad I got this 1 from the start. No need to look anywhere else. Would love sum turnover of content but loving how much it looks real it’s amazing

Waste of time.. Free version has ads that can’t be closed off, so you can’t use it at all. Tried to report problem but app also won’t allow it… Whilst they got me to upgrade to pro in the first instance, they changed what you could access, and created a new version of pro which was no different to what I paid for the first time… and then changed it again to take more money to use it. If you got money to burn and time to waste download today.

It has ads that you cannot close. I’m using Reface on an IPhone SE Second generation and whenever I use this app to watch ads to get reward, the thing that annoys me is that it has full screen ads that I cannot close. Would you mind fixing that? It will be greatly appreciated.

Once fun, now awful and unusable.. I get the concerns about copyright and ensuring people don’t abuse deepfakes. It’s frustrating that it means people can no longer make silly face swaps on here for fun, but I sadly get it because it’s abused so much. Unfortunately the only options for face swaps now are onto AI generated art — and who knows if real artists’ work is being harvested without permission to train the AI? (For legal reasons, that is not an accusation. But we all know how widespread AI art scraping is.) Anyway, none of that even matters, because even if you did want to swap a face onto an AI image/video, first you have to navigate past the surface-level messaging that face swapping is for Pro only. Good news! It isn’t! Except … that doesn’t count for anything either. Sure I don’t mind watching an ad to get a face swap. But when the app loads an ad, well. The ads can’t be closed. At all. They’re half off-screen, shown in landscape format instead of portrait, and no, tilting the phone doesn’t fix it. There’s no way to access the X to close. I think this is the first app review I’ve written in nearly ten years — was just so impressed at how spectacularly the app nosedived. Sorry to any Reface staff who might be uninvolved in app development but have to process all these bad reviews.

Great app but can’t get out of the payment. I have been trying to contact support to get out of my subscription and it will never load. I have been trying for some time now. So now I guess I’m stuck paying for this the rest of my life. Don’t get it if you don’t want it for ever.

Adds. I’ve paid for annual subscription as I have loved the app and it has brought many laughs. Having not used it for a while I am disappointed to see ads have been introduced. I understand if it is for free. But surely paying an annual subscription should mean no ads.

Cost. I’m mad that we have to pay yearly or weekly! Like I would buy it 100% but I don’t think it should be like an ongoing payment. And also I do not at all think it is worth 58 bucks a year, like it’s a refacing app!

Custom videos. Where did the custom video feature go?? I noticed it disappeared during the most recent app update!

some people dont like this. I tried to cheer up my friend. I used great looking hero style figure, together with my own face replacement. How ever I was receiving angry feedbacks. I just realized not every is a fan of this technology. Be careful when using it.

I’m very confused. I see all of these great reviews and it makes me wonder what happened to me😂 It never works for me, I’ve tried so many photos to the point where I don’t like taking selfies anymore, they never work. First I tried the Princess Aurora one because I love that movie and it didn’t work so I changed my photo and tried again. Still didn’t work so I chose a different template, The beauty and the beast one, didn’t work, hanged photos, didn’t work. It has nothing to do with my wifi or my signal, even so I checked and guess what. Still didn’t work.

Great App But …. I love this app and recommend it to all my friends but I have noticed now that the option to swap faces with photos for ‘free’ has now been changed to only ‘paid’ … Just wondering why the change all of a sudden as it takes away a lot of the enjoyment of such a fun app and what this means for the non paying users of the app in the future? … Does this bode that other ‘free’ options with your app will be taken away sooner or later? … If so I can see that a lot of users will just remove your app and seek a replacement with the other apps that allow you to do the same without … How it was before the change whereas you either waited or watched an advertisement was a fair trade for being able to use the option and am wondering why you changed it without notification …

Reface fun as. Very very simple fun app easy to use with great results ... worst thing is you can waste hours just playing with all the awesome look and videos. Love the addition of multiple people that you can reface at once.

You are probably not going to do this but just saying.... Back in an earlier version of the app it had and option to use pro animations if you watched an ad, but now, they are not available anymore to people who pay for subscription. could you please bring it back please? Heck,you probably won't if it gives you more money... i am sad now.

Cool. So cool but pointless adds I got an angry email from this company telling me to pay them or take down review. Right now your very lengthy user freezing ads put ppl off your good app entirely 👍 Note: my comment does not suggest you remove all adds, just make them more effective (not last 10 minutes) which impinges on the user take up of your functionality. You need a balance of short adds during the process so you don’t put ppl off.

scam scam scam. This app used to include all features for a paid amount, then as you pay and download it, for every step they recharge you another $10. This app also took my photos and face and kept them as “copyright”, and they say in terms and conditions can use your photos and face for anything they want as it’s now owned by them, as you choose to use it and up load your photos and face. They now own your face on any AI features or any part of the platform that you use. This ruined my whole life, day week month and year. I will take this app into 2024. Good night and good luck

Really good. It’s extremely fun and is really cool to see my self with hair as I do not have much at the much so that’s good and just messing around and it’s quite good at doing what it’s meant for but is a shame that there isn’t more try’s a day for the free version all in all great app👍

Watermark in Pro Version has destroyed the App. This application was a favourite of mine for making animated videos of myself , friends and family but the developers decision to watermark every user generated video with a highly intrusive watermark that jumps around has totally ruined the app .. what is the point of paying for pro when you still watermark our own creations .. when I paid this was not an issue and to implement it after paying feels like a betrayal .. Your desision to watermark user generated content is a bad desicion .. removing the watermark is the only reason to pay.. I am very unhappy and it has made me stop using the app because nobody wants to be distracted and I can’t upload watermarked videos. unless you want to pay me for advertising? There is no real justification to watermark only the user generated content without the same problem existing for all of the other content . It’s just an unfair and over controlling desicion , and has lost my interest in using or sharing when I was previously a regular and vocal supporter of the app who actively shared and promoted it but I can’t bring myself to use it anymore while that watermark stays in it

Was great, now it’s “meh”. This app was great and has provided quite a few laughs, but recently the images and videos of celebrities have been removed without any warning or explanation. It’s those images and videos which made this app great. I’ve paid for this app every year since 2020, and now I feel like I’m not getting what I paid for.

Why you keep adding bugs?. Upload edited video to this app will constantly lose sound track, the sound is ok in edited video in iPhone, but it will disappear when you upload to this app. You guys don’t use your own apps?

Paid subscription but still need to pay to use it?. I just got this lifetime subscription and they still charge you for using the product inside the app. What a money grab! If I could cancel my membership i would and I’ve only had it for a handful of minutes. DONT DO IT

Funny, cool app.. This app is very cool. It’s application is almost flawless as you could swear it’s really you in the videos and pictures. It has free use, you just have to watch ads. Not too shabby.

Not very good. Turned off by feature upsells after paying for the trial and the transformations weren’t very accurate in my opinion. It just forces me to go elsewhere to trial other apps. I thought the various themes and scenarios upon which to apply your face were excellent but doesn’t make sense to use them if your actual face doesn’t even resemble you. Then what’s the point?

Misleading pricing. This app makes you pay for a PRO membership…and then each of the features still cost an extra $9.99 inside the app. You are getting absolutely nothing for your subscription except a list of things you can pay more for. A total rip off. Update - received a response from the developer suggesting only some features required extra payment, but from what I could find within the app nearly everything you could click on charged another $9.99. Perhaps there’s some minor features that don’t - but everything I saw advertised was locked without extra payment.

Terrible. You cannot even use the main attraction og the app (the face swap) without paying $7 a week. Literally the first thing it asks you to do. This apps a scam don’t download.

Works then doesn’t work and more. So first of all this app is fun don’t get me wrong I have spent hours playing around with it but it seems that after set hours it starts to Glitch out for example (unknown error message and can’t map the face to the gif or the gif won’t load properly, gif start losing quality need more HD gifs also once I find a gif I like with my face on it I go to save it in my photos and it says “saved to photos” but they are not there?) now the real problem I see with it is and I get that they don’t want to my Deepfake porn gifs or anything like that but it kinda sexist to have probably hundreds of gif of guys taking there shirts off but no girls it’s 2021 if a guy can show nips then girl can show nips

Swap face freeze on ad. Ad appears when swapping face. When the ad is finished, the X close button doesn’t show up anywhere. Even if you go back to watch the ad again, it ends up the same. You have to exit and do everything all over again and again. It just gets stuck somewhere and not finish the job. The face doesn’t look like the photo uploaded.

Not so good - click bait. Tons of errors that don't make sense. Now they added some watermark nonsense and watch a meaningless video to save a file. I used to like it but now it's a disgrace to the Ukraine. The owner of this app is a money hungry pig. Time to uninstall it and find something better!!!

NOT FREE FALSE ADVERTISING. They make you sign up by saying its free for the beginning but you have to sign up for monthly payments to even try using the app. I deleted it right away couldn’t use.

Very upset. I had so many photos of so many friends and family for this app saved. I just now looked and about 3/4 of the pictures I had for peoples faces are now gone. Why is it an app that I pay for is loosing the pictures of people I saved to use for it? It’s not like I can just hop over to there house and take another selfie of them. This is very upsetting and I’m incredibly unhappy with whatever update led to this as a paying customer.

Was good, falling downhill for a while. I’ve been a pro subscriber since the app first came out. I have nearly 3000 photos and videos. It’s been great but at this point I’m not sure where the app is headed. I hated tenor. I thought it was the worst gif app to integrate with. It was like 90% boomer gifs. But it did at least work. But now even the gifs are gone. Searches include a small amount of videos and a small amount of still images, handicapping the search functionality of the app entirely. I’m not sure if tenor cut reface off or if reface ditched tenor, but the app is nearly useless without a gif search. Also the fact that the app defaults to trying to get me to pay for an ai portrait every time I open the app is annoying. I’ve already been paying for pro this whole time. I don’t want to pay more for this feature and will never use it. It feels like the app is circling the drain. If they can integrate another gif provider then maybe they’ll bounce back. Otherwise, this is goodbye.

Paid subscription and now they change the rules. Love the app; fun but not essential. I bought a yearly subscription a few months ago. Now they want to change the rules, collect my biometrics and track some of my unrelated browsing history. Please don’t allow them to do that. I will be cancelling my subscription and removing the app. Update: Lots of “sorry but” from the developer. The response I received did not address the fact that I paid for a year of subscription, then changed the requirements. Their solution… you have the choice not to agree, just can’t use the app. I can almost hear them laughing all the way to the bank.

Not worth the trouble for free players. Updating my review after developer’s response, to give it another chance. At first it seemed that you cannot even use the app without paying, but I figured out that you can use the discover feature somewhat (not the AI avatars). However, each image you create, you have to watch an ad and try to click the X button over and over to see it. When I would finally receive an image, it never seemed to look like me because it changed my features so much. Overall it was disappointing and not worth it for a free player.

JUST FUN N EASY. I absolutely love Reface! And the customer service could not be nicer. I had a small incident where a piece of art was considered against community standards. Spoke with Customer Service. They instantly fixed the problem, and we’re very kind to help, in a nice professional manner. The exciting thing about Reface is you can share with your friends and make fun videos make people happy and make people laugh; but you also can live out some fantasies, let your inner child out. Haha laughter and connection with those you care about is the best medicine especially, for anyone that might be suffering with chronic pain. Stay away from this app. They are thieves, they tell you the pro version will have no watermarks so you pay and then they make an update and then put it back in without warning, they didn’t stop there, now if you don’t agree to their demand on giving your personal info/biometrics then you can’t use the app. I asked for a refund and they refused, also pay attention to the reviews, there are thousands complaining about these issues and they act like they are not aware. Lastly they get reviews removed to preserve their 4.8 star rating, they will tell you they can’t remove but trust me yours will be gone if it’s critical, they only let a small amount through

Best for any user level. Fun, fast, and always new content. The community really has an eye for humor, recent trends, and style. Most videos take seconds to finish, and the 3 button process couldn’t be simpler. 1) Click a video you want. 2) Click a face you want. 3) Click Swap. That’s all. It may not be as perfect as others, with less in way of controls, but it’s simple “in, out” user face will have you doing more in less time. This app is good for new and seasoned image editors. I Highly recommend it.

Great idea but inferior for skin mapping. So. This app is a really cool concept. Allowing you to see yourself as a celebrity etc. But the algorithm for skin tones is horrible. If your skin isn't really pale the algorithm adds darkness and lines in places where it’s non existent. My skin ranges from semi pale to brown depending on the time of year. My palest pic looks great with every reface. My darkest pic looks like crap. It looks like they added facial hair from my cheek down to chin. I tried this with several different photos. They might want to look into it. Really unprofessional to have a universal app that doesn't cater to all skin tones. Also it might help to just let the reface match the skin tone of the person using the app.

Enough Already. And by that I mean, get rid of Cardi B, she’s been up FOREVER! Loads of fun when I first got the app, getting kind of bored with it by now though still amusing. Definitely was not happy when the app deleted all but 5 of my saved faces . They should at least give me the choice of which 5 I could keep. I do enjoy the vintage gifs, more from old movies please, how about some Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Humphrey Bogart, etc. Black n white classic s would be a nice addition. Doesn't function on your .gif. The developers supposedly intended to have this work on your own .gif and promoted it as such. But it doesn't work. I have never had a successful upload of my own or anything not through their own app using Tenor. That's actually a pretty big fail, because I'm sure there's a lot of marketing dollars coming through the promotion of films etc here. It should be cheaper if it is not functional. Not just me. I now see others with the same problem reviewing.

Warning: Do not subscribe. When I subscribed it was to be able to make my own videos without watermarks. Now that I've paid for an annual subscription, the company brands all your videos with their logo. This was an advertised feature and they took it away after I paid for it and support said, "sorry you feel this way, but as a pro user you have an ad-free experience." That's a lie, also. In recent weeks the app frequently shows me ads even though I'm a "pro user" who paid them. Do not pay this company. They bait you with promises of features and then they take them away so they can double dip by getting your subscription fee, ad revenue, and free advertising by slapping their logo on your content.

Fatphobic. This app is funny and the technology is pretty good. But it’s AWFUL if you’re not a skinny 20-year-old. If you are overweight or you have a round face it squishes it and you look cross-eyed and gross. If you’re older and have wrinkles it tries to age-reverse you and you end up looking VERY bad. I tested this app on several coworkers with different shapes and sizes and it’s just bad. The only gifs offered for fat searches are extremely offensive. There’s nothing uplifting. This is DEFINITELY going to trigger body dysmorphia and eating disorders. They need to do better. Not worth being FORCED to set up payment before you try it out for 3 days. There’s no easy way to cancel. Strikes me as a money grab.

Remove Watermark. I paid for the pro version of your app. Why is there a watermark?? Am I missing something I am supposed to turn off in order to not have one?? Defeats the purpose and paying for extra features if the free version has it as well. Disappointing and cheapens the brand. Any high quality app loses the watermark and in app ads when people pay for the features that differentiate between free and purchased. You should consider losing the watermark. That’s what we pay for. Consider it. I bet you lose a lot of business and downloads because of having a watermark. Especially when a customer has paid for it. You’ll end up losing a lot of business. You have 3 days to fix or I’m out. Lame.

This is awesome!. It works just as avertised. And guess what, if you don't wanna pay extra for the pro version, you can still use all the content in the app. You just have to watch ads. It's an amazing concept (not really) that 99% of apps don't use. When I first opened it, it was really slow. But after closing it and reopening it it is amazing. Thanks for making a app that actually works. I can tell you put time and effort in to it!

App features Disappearing -. I loved this app so much that I paid for the annual subscription. I hadn’t used in a few months however I tried to use it today and the lypsync option has been reduced to ridiculous saying and only a few songs. Where have all of the song options gone? As a paid subscriber I expect to get what I paid for! Now I’m tied into this subscription until December and cannot use it for what I paid for. Extremely disappointed, where has the content I paid for gone?

Don’t do it, waste of time and money. It’s $3.99 to download the app. Then another $7.99 to buy an avatar pack. You only get to submit six photos. The photos were absolutely terrible quality, they looked nothing like me, all of the eyes were messed up and crooked. I submitted six very clear photos of myself. I’m a professional photographer, so I know what I’m doing. When I contacted customer support, they seemed very annoyed, did not offer me any solutions, just requested that I resubmit all of my photos and screenshots of the avatars provided. Seems like a lot of hoops to go through. They said I could have another free pack of avatars, I declined because the previous were so messed up, seemed like there was no point. Don’t bother y’all, just keep scrolling.

They remove features without warning. The Reface and Revive apps are great however you can pay for lifetime access but you can’t rely on the feature you like to remain available. Without warning they will remove features. If you purchase it keep in mind that a feature you love can be eliminated at any time. I would suggest exploring options from developers that you can rely on to not remove features and who constantly add to the value of their products as opposed to eliminating perks.

I Am Addicted.. I literally discovered this app yesterday from an advertisement off my social media. I was bored so I decided to give it a try. I am SO glad I did. The Reface AI on this app really does look amazing. I was skeptical at first but when I tried it, I was playing with it the rest of the day. The only thing I wish they would change is if they offered more videos and a search bar for videos, not just Gifs. The premium membership really isn’t too bad, the price is good for a yearly membership. I did a 3-day trial, and I will be continuing a yearly subscription. What I did learn, is that my fiancé is absolutely the best model I’ve used yet, including all the friends and family I’ve tried it on. We are starting a new hashtag called: #refacespenser. Check it out! You won’t regret it. All the videos are from a single photo of his. He’s very photogenically photoshopped in. 🤣 Enjoy!

Didn’t work at first, now it does!. Update: I got a notification that the App Developer responded. I don’t see the response. But I updated my review from one star to five! I don’t know why it was buggy at first but then it started working. I’m addicted now and can’t stop laughing! Thank you!! ———- Keeps complaining of no internet access even though I have great wifi and data. Also throw unknown errors when trying to upload photos. Garbage app.

Was good, now trash. Spent $25 on the year long subscription just so I could use my own gifs with their service. About two months in my subscription, they pushed out a new update that analyses every gif you use and blocks it if their filter deems it inappropriate. It will even prevent you from using your own gifs entirely if you trigger it too often. Paid half the price of a AAA game to reface your own gifs? Too bad, we’re gonna disable that feature if you don’t use it the way we intend you to because we’re the equivalent of your conservative grandmother. Let’s be honest. Did you really think anyone was paying 25 bucks to be Jack Sparrow? Gonna contact them and see if I can get at least a partial refund. As it stands now, this has become a complete waste of money.

Was my absolute favorite app, key word “was”. When this app came out, I truly couldn’t get enough. I made remakes of every gif that I’ve ever used with all of my friends and used them in group chats all the time. I would have signed up for a lifetime membership. I just wanted more more more. They had movie scenes and every gif from tenor integrated. It was absolutely awesome. Then, out of absolutely nowhere, they changed it to just another AI bull**** app where they get pictures of you and spit out some cartoonified version of you. It’s TRASH. Completely took away all the joy and humor away from it. Now all it is, is random AI clips and e thots. I can’t believe they had such a great idea and completely fumbled the bag. I’d give this 0 stars if I could.

Great but problems. You guys keep doing updates and I think that great however you have not fixed the issue that people ha e been vocal about. The gif option does not move when shared on facebook. Also I have noticed on this update I have more facial glitches than in any previous update. Please update a patch this week or I will have to terminate my membership and try the other face swap app I see on the App Store. Also a recommendation, you should have a submenu when useres can accesses your old featured videos. They are by far the best and are very hard to find once they go away. Also it would be great if I could upload a video clip my self from a movie I could not find on your store.

Wind it back to 2.0.0. Just when they get it right, they do another update and I have complaints again. 2.0.0 was about the best version yet…they finally fixed the watermark issue for pro users, the download quality was a bit better, and I loved the new feature that allowed you to zoom in on the face you were going to change BEFORE choosing which face to replace it with; worked much better than the “analyzing for faces” that always makes the reface weird on distant faces. I really wanted to give it 5 stars. Disappointed.

The App is great, but.... I want to be clear that I absolutely love this app. No question. The reason for the three stars though is that I really really don’t like when companies cross the line into taking a stand on a world event or an outside situation that has nothing to do with the company or service. In this case the bandwagon of #StandWithUkraine. I support the safety and welfare of all the innocents in Ukraine 100%. But I will not even update my Reface app as long as it chooses to make political changes to its app. Because first it starts with an icon change and eventually it expands to areas it shouldn’t. All companies need to remain neutral. Otherwise problems arise.

Perfect if you are a little tech savvy. I love this app! Like others l was frustrated at first because I had lots of issue with using my own gifs. However I quickly learned how to resize gifs on procreate and how to create custom gifs from images and videos. Armed with this knowledge I am able to use this app to its fullest potential. You do get the occasional gifs that aren’t useable because the face isn’t cropped closely enough or the person in the original gif turns the head to the side but other than that most of my personal gifs work perfectly. If you dont know how to make or resize gifs I can see how this app can be a little frustrating.

Rip off. So when i went to try this app out i was given a couple subscription options. I clicked on the 3 day free trial and well the charged me the full year immediately and refuse to reply when trying to contact them through the app settings. Im with in the 3 day trail and would like to cancel it. Ita not a bad app and can be funny. Just not worth having longer than a couple hours. Hence the 3 day free trial... to see if you like it!

THE BEST APP EVER!!!. My aunt started sending my millions of these and they were absolutely HILARIOUS!! So of course the fun seeker I am LOL. I had to get it!! And I made many people pleased by the smiles and laughing of results like making my dad Ariana grande, my mom snoop dog, me as ace Ventura, and much much more! I would definitely recommend this app to any one that is bored and just wants something to do in their free time. It is quick and easy and all you have to do is put non a picture or take one and press a button and boom! I hope that you take my advice and try out this amazing app!

Looked nothing like me. Just another gimmick. Okay for a free trial, but won’t pay for it. The results of my selfie looked nothing like me. Edit: got a nice message from the publisher asking me to send the video to them, as if this app doesn’t already upload your pictures to them and they make the videos remotely because an iPhone is not capable of doing ML analysis at the speed it’s being done. That’s right everyone, they collect your face. According to their privacy policy they also collect your purchase data, phone usage data, IP address, web browser data, and identity too. A privacy policy you agree to simply by using the app. The fact that over quarter of a million users agree to this makes me weep for the human race.

Scam!. I tried the app because on Facebook the advertisement showed an animated dog singing. I thought it’d be fun to create funny dog videos. I signed up for the FREE trial, with the weekly option of $2.49 a week IF I used the app beyond the free trial. I cancelled the subscription within a half hour of signing up and realizing the app didn’t work with any kind of pet picture. After reading the reviews about from customers being billed after they cancelled during the FREE trial period, I checked my banked account—-I was hit for $9.09! I want my money back from these crooks. As a senior vice president of marketing for a major news company, I know how to showcase this app/company for they are. If they’re smart, they’ll refund my money immediately—unless they want to start answering questions on camera.

Great when it works. It’s a great app and looks really real. The problem is it glitches out WAYYYY too much. When it works it’s probably the best deepfake app but when it doesn’t it’s annoying. It takes hours for it to work again. It will say it’s working but when it’s supposed to load it stays on a blank screen. I try to use it as much as I want but I can’t because it doesn’t work 90% of the time. I try to find other apps that would work because at this point it’s getting very annoying. If you could fix it I would have no problem but now it’s been going on for weeks and it seems you can’t fix it.

Politics and hatred.. Hello I’m giving this app one star because I do not support apps that use politics I gets other peoples view people should be able to search for people they are voting for if you are going to use politics in this app then you should allow others to search what they like you don’t support the president that’s what it looks like because it clearly shows a bunch of hatred towards Donald J Trump and I will be making sure that I post this all over Twitter and Facebook.

Wouldn’t recommend at all. I loved this app before they removed the gif option and when I search for certain categories all of a sudden they can’t find anything on it but but when there was an a option for a gif there were tons of things to choose from. Not to mention it runs slower now. Another app ruined by an update. This is just like what happened with faceover. Every time I search for something it says no matches found unlike before when I would search for the same thing and a ton of results would show up. I will be deleting this app because it is now garbage thanks to that update. If it’s not broke don’t fix it!!!!!!

Deteriorating. On top of the fact that this app cannot make a near accurate face swapping, i.e. unable to generate a closer look of the face being swapped, the developer obviously reduced a lot of contents from this app and moved them to Revive. Instead of increasing, they reduced the content by a lot. Too bad this app is better than their Revive. Another important thing is when you do a lipsync, the face is too dramatic which is unnatural. Too many facial movements. The enlargening of the mouth makes it look far off the person’s actual picture. It used to be fine before.

Greed turned 5 star into 1 star. I haven’t written a review in a while, but this has made me disappointed enough to write one. I’m someone who can’t afford to drop money on subscriptions or ‘lifetime access’. As someone who likes editing gifs for my original characters, TAKING away the FREE face swap option has taken away a means for my creativity. Reface was the only app that had this feature available FOR FREE for gifs. I warned my friend to not update on her device so she could still use it. I am very disappointed in the people who made the decision to alienate the people who were ‘free-to-use’ users. I don’t want an empty apology from whoever reads this. Maybe if this decision got reversed, I would come back to Reface. The most recent reviews are negative for a reason.

Unknown Error‼️❓. I have successfully used this app several times a day, to the distress of some friends who urge me to get help .. I used it this morning, fine.. but this evening tried numerous times, only to receive Error pop ups, and one pop up saying my photo profile pictures had been deleted and to re take another.. which I tried, to no success, the app would not allow it to be saved.. I am at present reloading the app after deleting it... fingers crossed it works.. .just reloaded, and I cannot upload a selfie,, “”Unknown Error.. Retake Photo..””

SO MUCH FUN. Okay so first off, I am OBSESSED with this app and love it so far. This review is more for their Marketing ppl, come tf onnnn...I’m using it for the first time tonight and obviously want to try a million different GiFs and videos before I even think about subscribing, and NO JOKE, you have to watch an ad EVERY single time. I get it, it annoys you into paying $3.00 a week or w/e...but it’s a horrible look and is a major turn off. But honestly, I’m enjoying it so much that I probably will end up giving them a few bucks a week, but still. Get real. Every single “ReFace”??? The gifs and videos and the app would get 5 stars...but them being ridiculous and doing an ad every single reface is selfish & tacky so they get 2 instead.

Doesn’t work all of the sudden. Have been using the app for a few months now. I guess maybe after the last update with adding the ads it doesn’t generate the Swap anymore. I mean you select and hit swap and the ad comes up and afterwards there is nothing but black but you can here the finished product if it had audio. Y’all need to fix this ASAP. Even after a reboot of the phone it still doesn’t work. Was always a 5 star product now not so.

Loved but hate new update. Pro user starting year 2. My fave app, I can spend hours on it. I use it to humor myself and other, especially when we need it the most. The new update makes finding videos more difficult. I liked having more options presented to me without having to search especially the sections it use to have with different countries. Example music videos from Brazil and Japan ect. Bring that back and I can give 5 stars as it was a 5 star app. I’ve noticed I’ve been using it less as content presented has been the same old stuff.

If you are into perverting your child’s mind, this app is for you!. First, the app is good. Not all faces I use look realistic. Just those with distinguishing characteristics. Second, it is definitely not for children. Unnecessary vulgar language pops up on your notifications when alerting you to a new face. They can’t simply say “New Jim Morrison face.” They have to say “Da**, new Jim Morrison face.” Adds nothing to the app but definitely takes away. Also, some of the clips are inappropriate such as Basic Instinct where Sharon Stone uncrosses her legs or some contain nudity like the Dumb and Dumber one. Not appropriate for adults, much less children. If you’re into perverting your child’s mind, this app is for you!

Fun App To Share Laughs With Friends. I’m a monthly subscriber. I love putting friends’ faces on funny movie scenes, gifs, and images and sharing great laughs with them. It would be great if, eventually, we could use our own photos as we can with gifs. The only negative for me is the new NSFW filter that has been implemented. I get it, but we’re also adults here. That decision should be for we, the subscribers, to make. Other than that small issue, this is genuinely a great app to pass the time with.

Last update messed up order of face selection. This app is really good, except that after the last update, whenever I get a result and want to use a different face for the same video, I now have to scroll past my faces to pick. Before the update, I could pick a face after the one I had just used. Also, please let us delete multiple faces without having to scroll all the way back to where we were. For example, if I have 30 of my selfies and want to delete 3, I have to scroll all the way through to find the ones I don’t want after deleting the first one.

If I could give this a five in a Half that would be amazing. Hello if you can please respond to this this is kind of important to for some reason I did a add and like in the next few times I play this game whatever it is I saw that my thing wasn’t there anymore and also I can’t change my face like I can’t change my face into any photo because I can’t be premium whatever and pretty pretty please make the Photos thing available for some people well everybody really

Excellent app... when it works. I tried the free version and was very impressed, but I’ll keep this review short and simple: they need to lower the price until they get their servers in order. I am CONSTANTLY getting server errors and refacing takes forever. As a paying customer, I expected the paid version to be more efficient and less buggy than the free version. Sure, I get unlimited refaces as a paying customer, but the fact I had zero issues with the free version makes it seem as if they give server priority to free customers to lure them in and then make paying customers experience issues. Fix your servers and bugs, and the app will then be worth the price of admission.

My favorite app is now worthless. Opened it after not using for a while and was required to update. So I did and immediately realized it’s a completely different app now and is now trash. The only gif options seem to be these haunting pan shots of dolls and weird AI looking images.. but we used to be able to freely edits gifs from the web. OH and of course the addition of being able to pay for a pro version of this worthless nonsense.. time to delete. Edit—— They responded to let me know that gifs are no longer a feature…. Like I didn’t realize that before complaining about it in my review.. thanks for pretending to “help”…

Ummmm..... do I really look like that?. Super fun app and everything but the only downfall about it is that I do not look like the face that they Try to make me! It is very irritating and the characters don’t look real because of that! Also some of the faces don’t work and that is a super big bummer! I do not know if I would recommend this app because of all its downfalls ! Although this app is fun to do with friends apparently it does not work on my face! Super weird! But I have to say it is fun at the same time! Also they don’t have all the characters that I would like! But otherwise it is a pretty nice app I would recommend this app if you are willing to have your face changed into something that it is not!

Great app. This is what you are looking for, there’s plenty options to choose from, and god knows how many gifs to use. I would recommend only the one week purchase though, because after a day or two it gets kinda old. Less than 3 bucks for a week of fun. If there was a feature to add your own videos (I didn’t exactly check but I doubt it) it would be worth the $25 for a year. Some of the options work better than others, but this app was exactly what I expected of it, which is nice for a change. I was tony Montana snorting lots of coke. Lots.

(FIXED) Error: Choose another face or add a new one. I’ll change to a 5 star after it’s fixed (because when it worked it was by far the best face swapping app) but ever since a recent update, I’ve been getting an error message every time I try to face swap a video. The loading screen bar will progress at first, then stop around 80-90% completion, then an error message will appear, displaying the message I put in the title of the review. It’s been a few days and it still hasn’t been fixed, so I’m hoping leaving this review will bring this issue to the developer’s attention.

This APP has just becomes more worthless. *Lol seems like they deleted my last review.* These guys keep on screwing with what the app originally was intended they took out the re-voice and reanimate feature and instead, they combined the refacing app and their garbage stock, AI photos. I’ve been a pro user for a couple years now and will no longer continue to promote or recommend this app to my friends. I have unsubscribed to using this app and paying for it, definitely not worth it spend your money elsewhere. The developers on this app are super greedy and don’t listen to what they’re consumers ask of them. Want you to pay for another app now to revolve and reanimate pictures and video. I hope they go under.
