The app. I liked this app because it was easy to use and easy to connect your instant pot products. However, since the last update you no longer are able to the progress the way it used to show all the details. Also if you have more than one of the same “named” appliance you are not able to distinguish which instant pro plus you have running because the appliance name is not flexible. I know not many may buy two of the same one but I did and would like to be able to tell if it is the one in the pole barn or the one in my kitchen. Otherwise this is a great way to see which appliance is in use. I now have 3 instant pot items that are WiFi connected.

Nice idea. Poor execution.. I like the app, but it’s missing some key features. Users should be able to leave reviews on the recipes. I can’t tell you how many I’ve tried, followed the recipes exactly, and they turn out terrible. From constant burned food errors to recipes that don’t even fit in the instapot (I have the largest one). Allowing users to leave reviews with text will help others know these types of things before wasting time and money on ingredients just to end up with garbage. It would also be nice to have nutritional facts on the recipes. I don’t think either of these things are hard and are pretty standard so I’m not sure why it hasn’t been done yet.

Going backwards. I liked the feature in the previous version that allowed users to adjust recipes based on number of servings. I have a smaller instant pot and with this new app missing that feature I'm back to having to manually recalculate recipes to accommodate my smaller instant pot. What would be great is if instant pot would update the app to allow users to specify what size pot they have and the app would calculate the recipe based on that input, but even just bringing back the serving size feature would be better than what we have now.

Obsessed!. I’m disabled & my husband had to cook most of our dinners. It’s very difficult for me to lift & carry pots & pans. I received the insta pot last week. Since then I have been able to make dinner for the family. I thought I would use it 2 times a week. They all love the meals that can be made with the insta pot! I have used it every night!. It’s so convenient to be able to cook the entire meal using the features of the pot. The app is a wonderful addition to the pot.

STILL no ability to search saved recipes!. I can’t believe you went through all that trouble to redesign the app (which is better, though nothing revolutionary) and you STILL HAVEN’T ADDED THE ABILITY TO SEARCH SAVED RECIPES! (I’ve left this feedback before and even got a positive developer response that you’d look into it.) It’s SO annoying to have to scroll through dozens to hundreds of saved recipes to find the one you’re looking for! Please, oh PLEASE add a search bar at the top of the saved recipes section!

Recent update makes it user unfriendly. This used to be an incredible app I could quickly browse on my lunch break for an easy recipe to make when I got home from work. However, with the most recent update, this app went from 5 stars to 1. The update took away recipe folders so my saved recipes are no longer sorted which makes finding the one I want much harder. It also took away the discussion section on recipes which I found to be an incredible tool if a recipe wasn’t rated great. I could read through to see if people had easy fixes on common problems or if it was rated bad from people just not following instructions. The recipe cards when browser are also much bigger with a poorly designed layout so little fits on the screen. I can’t say the last time I’ve rated an app but this honestly deserves a 1 star review or less. The update took away all the good features of the app and somehow made the bad ones even worse.

Why Did You Step Backwards?. I have enjoyed using the Instant Brands app to find recipes for a while now and have discovered some truly amazing, delicious, and easy to make recipes. Your appliances have made me fall in love with cooking. A while back the app was given a major overhaul ands what I’m trying to understand is why did you step backwards? I speak specifically of the removal of the blender appliance. I love my Instant Ace so I was said to see the major app overhaul removed the appliance. I’m glad that my saved recipes using it are still present but I would like to find new recipes. It just doesn’t make sense to me to remove a feature you already had. We also need the quick reference feature back on the recipe landing page that told us right away which appliance the recipe is for. Having to read the step by step instructions to figure this out can be tedious and even a deal breaker for some of us who are neurodivergent. I don’t want to open and read through the instructions on multiple different recipes just to figure out if I have the right appliance. Honestly, this increases the likelihood of me going elsewhere. We also desperately need back the ability to review recipes, because I just made one that in all honesty, it feels like it was nothing more than a troll.

Air Fryer Recipes???. I just bought a 6 quart Vortex Plus 6 in 1 Air Fryer & can only find a small number of recipes for air fryers on this app. Where are the 1,000 Recipes for download that you advertise? I had the same problem when I purchased my Instapot in 2021. Back then, I quickly discovered that I had to find recipes on the Internet or in books on my own & then figure out by trial & error how to make them work with my particular InstaPot. Your company provided no guidance at all. As a result, I was determined to never buy another one of your products. However, I liked the features of this air fryer & decided to give your brand another chance, especially when you mentioned the number of recipes on your website. I guess I was wrong. Are you doing anything to address this issue? Will you be adding more air fryer recipes to your website? You could also provide more extensive manuals with basic recipes for your specific models or publish books of recipes & instructions for individual products & models like some of the other manufacturers. Also, a telephone number to reach someone with questions would be helpful. If I decide to keep this air fryer, I will send another review about how it actually works.

Love this app. This is a really cool app. I love the step by step guide to cook along with built in timers. The only down side for me is I can find a way to print the recipe. Hey but the upside I’m saving trees by not printing. It’s just when we really enjoy a recipe I put a printed version into our top rated recipe book. So I took a picture of our final product and put a printed page in the cook book along with the app and name of the recipe so that I can find it again next time.

Needs huge improvement. This app was cool for short period time and once you rolled out the update; no customer should have their Pro Plus disconnected. I had to try to reconnect w WIFI and had to add my IP pro plus again. Except this time nothing but errors. Suddenly, I get message pop-up that my IP pressure cooking but when I open the app it doesn’t show my paired machine. It’s nice to have all in one place but these bugs have to be fixed. Also, I wish you’ll make IP pro plus where it won’t quick release (auto-vent) but I decide if I want QR or not. I have to rush to the machine or app to stop from quick release and do natural release instead.

Not an improvement! Much worse!. This new version lost the ability to adjust servings, which adjusted other variables like amounts of ingredients. Also missing required utensils. And the “side-swipe” is not intuitive or helpful. The previous “scroll” allowed one to see what the previous and next steps were to provide perspective on where one is in the cooking. And what happened to organizing the recipes in folders? Now they’re all lumped in one big mess! We gave stars feedback in the previous version, but didn’t go into details. Did you actually beta-test this? Not happy cookers. Put back those good features and add some other improvements (contact me for details).

Improvisation. This recipe is a good idea but it took some improvisation to increase it to serve more people and substitute the Roasted Pepper Cooking Soup I couldn’t find. I took a jar of roasted peppers and ground them up in the food processor with some garlic, tomato paste and lemon juice. This along with chicken broth maxed out my 6-quart Instant Pot’s capacity but it still worked. It came out soupier than I expected but with the garnish of fresh parsley and feta cheese it should be okay. My wife encourages me to experiment and this was one of my boldest journeys yet!

Unreliable recipes have caused confusion, damage and a mess. I’m brand new to using an Instapot so I’ve been relying on this app to help me get better acquainted with it because there was no user manual provided. I have found inaccuracies and inconsistencies with some of the recipes uploaded, this has resulted in having under cooked food. Some of the recipes call for a quick release, which has caused damaged to my cabinets because liquid has splattered. Some of the recipes are not clear on the measurement unit for ingredients. There needs to be a vetting process of the recipes that are uploaded into this app. I’m getting very little use of my Instapot and the only things it has been good for is to cook easy to peel hard boiled eggs.

Not bad, not great. This app has a lot of recipes in it, but the only ingredient filters they offer are vegan and vegetarian. At the very least, they need to add in filters for gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. Better yet would be to add low-carb, low-fat, etc. Sure, many of us know how to swap out ingredients to adjust for allergens or other dietary needs, but many others don’t. And not all swaps work well in the IP even if they work for stove-top cooking. Hopefully over time the app will expand to cover more ground so that more folks can enjoy it.

What happened to the basic time tables !!!!!!!!!!!. Love the pot, HATE the app. I am deleting it it is a waste of time and space, I end up looking everything up on their website anyway. If you don’t include a detailed instruction manual in your product, but rather insist on taking up space on my phone with an app, then the least you can do is have a basic time table for basic foods. If you want to know how long to cook plain brown rice, or beans or meat, I do not want to sort through 10 thousand recipes with brown rice or beans or meat in them. I would buy an instant pot for my mom, as I use mine a lot, but without proper instructions, it is way too complicated to recommend. I shouldn’t have to spend a half hour browsing the web to find basic information on how to use an appliance.

Lacking Basic Recipes and add your own. This app is lacking basic features and recipes. For one, there needs to be a section for doing basic cooking, like rice or beans, or types of cooking methods, air frying, dehydrating, pressure cooking, etc. You also don’t have the ability to add in your own recipes. For instance, no recipe for streaming crab legs exists, but plenty exist on the internet, so I’d like the ability to add in my own recipe instead of going to the internet everything 2 months when I make them. I can’t believe there isn’t a recipe for crab legs?!?! Outside of this, the Instant Pot we have works wonderfully, but we find we don’t use it as often because we don’t understand the basics and have recipes that we eat frequently.

Could be a 5 star but. ...it glitches and you can’t organize your favorite recipes The glitch: if says that you can modify ingredients w substitutes by clicking on a pencil icon which would be GREAT, except it doesn’t always work and when it stops working the only fix I’ve found is to delete the app and reinstall and log in again—it’s annoying because it happens A LOT. when it IS working, you are very limited w the ingredients it allows you to substitute, which is fine but let me know which ingredients can’t be switched. As a matter of fact if they would do away w the pencil and just write the possible substitutes w each ingredient, even better! The other functionality it lacks is the ability to organize my favorite recipes in a way the makes sense to me—not everyone wants their recipes in alphabetical order. The recipes themselves are great though and they do stay true to their level of difficulty and number of servicing. Aesthetically, the app is pleasing and super easy to navigate. It’s the best lay out and information. I would recommend it to new (me) and veteran instant pot owners.

Recent Updates removed Best Features. The app used to allow for creation of customized lists of saved recipes - I had mine separated between ones we had tried and ones we wanted to try. That feature is gone. The app previously allowed for serving sizes to be adjusted which is really helping when only cooking for two people. That feature is now longer available. The app also used to allow users to make comments on recipes which was really helpful - also a feature that no longer exists.

Instant Pot Beef Stew. Absolutely amazing!!! One thing I would do differently is I would get everything cut up and ready to go before I even started cooking. Also, and this is just my preference, I am going to sear the meat in a frying pan instead of a frying pan. It is a big pain scraping the bottom and dealing with burn notice. But overall this is the best recipe I have ever made. It is even better than the stew recipe I have used for the last 40 years. Definitely changing to this one.

Sign In Broken. Not sure when they changed the interface but wanted to look up some new recipes and found the sign in every time I launched the app just to follow a recipe broken. I also found the previous interface easier to work with, simply scroll down with timer per section. Previous interface felt more thought out and current interface feels more like a web portal to text pages. I will check back later and maybe they will fix, but new interface is not well designed or user friendly. Outside of that I will just go to other websites.

Accessibility complaints. As of right now I rate this as a 1, if they fix these issues to how it was before than its 5 stars. The Instant Brand App used to be 100% accessible for blind users who use VoiceOver on iOS. A relatively recent update has caused accessibility to go down to about 30% accessible. PLEASE have your apps tested by actual disabled users before releasing updates. And further, PLEASE fix the app to make it as usable as the previous version. As a bling cook, the freedom of manual releasing from a safe distance using the app was a wonderful feature. This feature is no longer even possible, even for my sighted friends. This includes editing the time and temperature of an already-started cooking process.

Instant Pot App. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous app version, being able to select the number of servings was amazing, now it is doable but I have to convert the measurements to what I need. I do still like the step by step way the directions are, it makes it super easy to follow and not miss anything. Overall, it is still a decent app, just update it to be able to change the serving size and it would be amazing again.

Easiest follow along cooking app. I was very impressed with the ease of using this app. I’m an avid home chef and usually prefer basic cooking methods - no fancy gadgets here. I bought the Instant Pot Duo when the stove I purchased had been back ordered several weeks. The Instant Pot is new to me, but after following one recipe through this app I feel much more confident using what can be an intimidating kitchen appliance. This is the best cooking app I have used and I’ve only cooked with the app once! It’s not cluttered with annoying ads, hub ub of someone’s blog or unnecessary details. It’s very straightforward and clearly states what to do and how to use that device. The game changer here is an included timer within recipes where needed. Win-win-win!

Great for Getting started, but nutrition content lacking. The app and a few web searches helped to become acquainted with the Instant Pot method of cooking (ie how to boil water, make hard boiled eggs.. ). once I was ready to start recipes, I noticed a problem: NUTRITION INFORMATION IS USELESS - Only lists calories - Lists calories per “serving,” but NO serving size is given, neither per person nor per total amount made. Also, changing the number of people does nothing except change quantities need in the recipe (which is really neat), but good luck measuring out however much a “serving” is.. - Calories cannot be selected and copied into other apps for health data collection, (even if they did make sense.) Once they fix these nutrition content issues and delivery, I will give five stars. The recipe format is great and guides well with timers and such, so that’s pretty cool. Now onto making soup. The content of recipes was questionable. Using the example of “Broccoli Cheddar Soup” by Chop Secrets, that recipe says to sauté a half a stick of butter for 30mins! I was afraid to do this because 1) I wasn’t trying to make clarified butter and 2) it just seemed weird. Later, after reading comments about the soup being “too salty,” noticed that the recipe did not specify to use salted or in-salted butter, and just started wondering. Soup tasted good though, gonna have to try other recipes.. please devs please fix the nutrition info content thx.

many things missing from making this app and its recipes great. So like the title says there are many things lacking to make this app great. Recipes only go as high as the 6 qt even though there is 8 qt or bigger Instant Pots. One of the biggest features missing I think is the lack of split screen on iPad. I would love to read the list of ingredients while also being able to create a grocery list. This is a huge oversight and shows that not a lot of care was put in the making this app. The only saving grace is that there are plenty of good recipes on here that are Instant Pot specific and truly make weeknight cooking easy and fairly delicious.

Love it!. My husband and I really enjoyed the instant pot app. We recently have started cooking more with our Instant Pot and we enjoy it. The only thing I suggest is to please be more accurate and careful of the measurements when it comes to figuring out how much you need for certain amount of people. There’s been a couple of times that we followed the recipe exactly as it said but it was not nearly enough or it was too much.

Recent changes harmed accessibility for the blind. I bought this particular instant pot because it was Wi-Fi enabled, and had an app that I could use to control the device. I am blind and use voiceover on my iPhone to control the pot. I am unable to use the touchscreen at all. The app worked perfectly with voiceover before the most recent update, which I think happened about a week ago. Now, I am unable to alter the temperature or the length of time the food is cooking after I have set the instant pot. For example, I might start the sauté function at 30 minutes on low, but then need to increase to a high temperature and add a little time. As things stand, I would have to end the current program, and start all over again, in order to alter the temperature or time. It is particularly important to be able to alter the temperature while sautéing. I spent an off a lot of money for a device that would make cooking easy for me. Very disappointing.

Inaccurate time remaining. I started a batch of yogurt earlier today. I just checked the app to see how much time was remaining, and it said “00:00”. I thought that it was done, so I went to the kitchen to remove the pot, only to find that there was actually 27 minutes left. Restarting the app didn’t fix the incorrect time remaining, and neither did switching from my iPhone to my iPad; the time was incorrect on both devices.

Resetting PW. Wanted to reset my password, clicked linked and it seemed to load page however, didn’t allow me to change password bec I couldn’t type into field. Refreshing page didn’t work. Page just froze. Only had email open and the app and have plenty of storage so idk why it got stuck. Tried pasting into a different browser and was able to type new PW however, when I submitted it got a sorry, bad news we can’t process your request etc message 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d like to log-in and use app features... pls resolve.

Like the Instant Pot and and blender!. For the price and results the Instant Pot and Ace Blender are great Had some learning problems with the blender, but finally overcame most of the problems! My only gripe is cleaning the blades and bottom of the blender after cooking cream soups! Wish for a detachable bottom where the heater element is located! It products are well made and sturdy! Love that they use glass for the blender jug, heavy, yes, but it’s not plastic! The Instant Pot is “the cats meow” for me! Great results. Wish Apple would have half stars as four stars should be four and a half.

Poor search function and recipes. Search function doesn’t search recipes correctly when searching for the device with the instant pot and air fryer together. I tried making the bacon mac and cheese, something you’d think would be simple, but it did not turn out at all. The noodles were not fully cooked because it called for less water than it should have and there were issues with how it all came together. Way better off just searching recipes online and making ones that have good reviews…

Great product, awful explanations. Let’s get this out of the way. The product is great. But the learning curve is steep, and the entire process of learning it will drive you nuts. Let’s start with what they called simple rice. First off, the product comes with a handy cheat sheet with different foods and their associated cook times. Cool! Next time white rice? 2 minutes. Open the app and go to rice. The cook time is 22 minutes. Weird huh? Okay let’s move past that. After you’ve rinsed the rice as instructed, it tells you to put the water in the pot (never does it say to put the rice in but let’s forgive that). Next, the app has a helpful timer to start cooking right in the app. Nice! So you start that. Despite the instructions saying the rice function on the physical IP will detect the amount and auto select the cooking time. So you start the 12 minute timer in the app... 10 minutes later, you realize, the IP has just started it’s OWN timer. But it needed 10 minutes to heat up or something? Nowhere is this explained. But now, you have the app timer nearly finished and the IP one is just getting started. I’m sure these discrepancies are something a more experienced chef would have no problem deciphering, but if you are new to IP, you will surely find this confusing. Good luck!

Timings show active prep & cook time only. The app is great overall! However, the recipes I’ve tried so far give time estimates that do not appear to include either preheating time or (when applicable) natural pressure release time. This means for an 18 minute recipe it can actually take over an hour between sealing the lid and getting the food out. It also makes the timers in the recipes not very useful (if I have to wait till preheating is done before I start the timer in the app, that is actually not easier than just babysitting the pot the whole time). It would aid my planning a lot if time estimates included both pre- and post-cooking time.

Accessible and Easy Navigation!!!. I absolutely love my new Pro Plus, and this app and Smart settings make it a breeze to use. The app improvements, Instant Pot improvements make a huge difference. I’m a blind individual who has used a Duo for years. I passed on the Smart and initial Bluetooth models, mainly due to the awfulness of previous apps. The Pro Plus is a beautiful machine. This app is basically a mirrored version of Instant partner Drop own app. Less clunky than previous apps and fully accessible. Thank you!!!

I miss the old version. I used to use this app multiple times a week. It was wonderful. I could organize my saved recipes, on the recipes you could rate them and people would write down what they changed or did to make it better or get a different flavor. In the new version they took away the organization, and removed reviews and ratings. Now you make each recipe at your own risk. Often the recipes are posted incorrectly from the actual recipe you’ll find online and people used to be able to go in the comments and put the correct intended measurement or time. I really wish they’d add back at least the reviews and ratings. Now I don’t even look at this app. There’s no point unless I want to have a chance of ruining a whole meal.

Disappointed. I thought I could go to the downloaded app, click on Instant Pot or Air Fryer and see recipe’s for that particular device (I have the Instant Pot Smart WiFi and the Instant Pot Vortex Plus XL 8 ClearCook Air Fryer) but no. You have to give your first and last name to begin with and then to set up your profile and you have to insert your names again. What? This app is not smart enough to auto populate those two items you already put in. I would think you could click on the device you wanted and up would pop the Instant Pot or Air Fryer or other device you might have, recipes. You select your recipe and off you would go. No again. 2,000 recipes. Where are they. Crazy. I’ll just find third party recipes for my Air Fryer, download and delete this app.

Used to be good, now not.. In its previous edition, this was a good app. They let frescoe redo it unnecessarily and now this app is blech. The devs can’t even get the app to work in landscape mode; it doesn’t even remotely resemble the appliance it is supposed to be operating and there’s a huge wasted amount of ill-working UI that forces page navigations that, frankly, are not needed. It is easier to DITCH THIS APP, and go with what one can find on the inet. Come on, Instant! You can do better! Go back to your original old app! Then for a manual remote wifi op of your instant pot, just start by doing a picture of the instant pot’s operating panel and “appify” that. And find some chefs to do the recipes using the steps we’re supposed to do. Darn all this no-cooking software dev attempts at running your brands’ hardware! Thanks for making great products, but, PLEASE, get someone else to dev the apps that are to be running your products!

Locked in Landscape. I hate that this is locked in landscape mode on the iPad. So much wasted space, and it increases the counter space of my iPad. Drives me nuts. I usually just end up using the web, and will probably delete the app. I also hate that I have to create an account in order to save recipes (which I can’t find after saving), when using iCloud could work just as well (I neither care about nor am interested in the “social” aspect of the app). And finally, the app keeps crashing on me when I open and try to follow a recipe. I finally just took a few screenshots.

Unable to log in. First of all, don’t ask me to contact the developer because I tried, a month ego and still no response! There seems to be an issue with the app. I changed my password multiple times and keep getting the same error “There seems to be an issue, try again”. Then I tried to sign in with the wrong password I got “We couldn’t find your account. Try another email or password to sign in”. So, the problem is not the password, it’s the app. I think that they tried to fix the issue, but still can’t log in. Instead of signing in now it just sends me back to the login page. I should have returned this stupid WiFi pressure cooker when I had the chance!

Not bad but a lot of liquid. I read other reviews and added 10 minutes to the cook time for the beans and it came out great. I had also switched out the water for chicken broth to give it some more flavor. For the amount of liquid that’s put in I would have added more beans and meat. Also, the serving size is off. It says that it makes a lot more than what it actually does. We made just enough for our family of five and I doubled the rice because I knew one cup wouldn’t be enough. All that being said, it wasn’t bad with some minor mods.

Instant helper. I made my first recipe from this app, Better Butter Chicken, last night and absolutely loved it. The only other appliance/cooking app I’ve used is for my Joule immersion heater and this one is infinitely better. I like to review new recipes before starting to cook and you can do that to your heart’s content here. Not so with the Joule, which is so intimately tied to its app that neither can be used without the other. I also like the timers integrated into it. Whenever a recipe says to do something, like simmer, for a certain period, there’s a timer button right there in the recipe that’s set to that amount of time for you to click on. While this is less useful when a step uses the Instant Pot’s timer, it is often very helpful. Recommended!

Only missing 1 thing. I love how the app walks you through every step with very simple easy directions. Only 1 thing missing in my opinion it is a want to try or save for later list. I see a lot I want to try out but I don’t always remember the recipe i thought would be good so I have to try to search for it. I only want the heart for recipes my whole family enjoyed & that I will make again so I know for sure that it was that particular recipe variation that was liked

App is completely worthless 👎🏼👎🏼. The Instant Pot is an amazing machine…. It’s a shame this app is so terrible, especially when it’s used as one the “selling points” of the device. You select the device you have, and what does that do you? Nothing. Doesn’t provide the user manual, or getting started guides - all it does is limit the number of recipes you can see for some pointless reason (fortunately you can turn that off). Which leads me to to the recipe interface… the Instant Pot website has a wonderful interface where you can filter based on what you want to cook (ingredients, diet, meal, etc.) - none of that in the app. Supposed there are “1900+ recipes” but good luck finding them unless you know *exactly* what you are looking for… Instant Pot needs to fire their AppDev team and get some folks that have some clue as to what is needed to make it a useful companion to the appliance.

Worst Update Ever. The app used to be perfect. You could make multiple cooking lists, had helpful timers and instructions, allowed comments on recipes, auto adjusted reciped for you, and worked quickly and efficiently. That is now all gone. Every time I open the app it just doesn't load up. I used to save recipes to try out and it was really easy to look up new recipes but now I can't even use the app. That is how dysfunctional it is. I can't even use it to look at anything. Whoever decided to update it to this clunky new version does not deserve their job position and whoever updated it to make it not even work needs a new job. I know that sounds mean but how can you mess up an app that badly. Nobody asked to take these features away so you can't even blame customers.

The update is the worst ever!. I loved selecting recipes from this app and cooking before. This latest update (March 2023) makes it virtually unusable. I use an iPad Pro and the update does not permit landscape, so I’m trying to read everything sideways. It used to have the handy scroll feature so you could see several steps in the recipe and scroll up or down to get the process in your head. This new one displays page after page after page. Some of them as simple as Press Cancel. I used to be able to modify some recipes for the number served and it would increase or decrease the ingredients, and I haven’t noticed that function in the new update. Please let me go back and use the old one. This is unusable in it’s current state.

Itemization a little off. Received my Instant Pot Ace Plus model. Really stoked to get started on some of the recipes. A little misleading when selecting your appliance because in the app it only lists the Nova model which some settings may not apply directly to the Ace or Ace Plus. I do like how at the top search bar it is already categorized by appliance and I am assuming when searching it has defaulted to the appliance registered (not sure how that would do if you had multiple product lines). Maybe adding a little symbol showing what appliance the recipe is meant for so you don’t have to open it and scroll to the very end to see what is necessary for the recipe? Some recipes displaying on the main page will say for Blender but you go to the inspired recipe link and it is for the pressure cooker. Just a thought.

Some great recipes; brilliant way of leading thru instructions. I saved and tried 8 recipes after getting my IP. Several I’ll make again and again. Wish there were more. The list and quantity of ingredients at the beginning and the step-by-step, tap-to-advance instructions which include the quantity of ingredients again are genius: easy to use. Though new to an IP the recipes were easy and helped me feel very confident in using it.

Instant Pot Easy. I have had a lot of luck with the Instant Pot app. It enables me to save favorite recipes and guides me through the process. The issues that I have with it have to do with ingredient measurements. The units of measure are not clear or consistent. I can usually figure it out, but why would this not be standard and clear, like any other recipe. I have found that some recipe sources are also more reliable than others. Finally, the built in timer feature has not been helpful because it doesn’t take into account preheat time. An added bonus is being able to adjust recipes up and down with the number of servings. The recipe will tell you if your Instant Pot has reached it’s capacity and won’t allow you to go beyond the number of servings it can handle. There are a few flaws, but overall, I like the app.

Respect the duo crisp!. My overall experience with instantpot has been very good. Their customer service through covid pandemic has been GREAT! However this app somehow cannot seem to live up to probably one of the most expensive items on their lineup. I have the Instantpot 8 quart duel crisp. You would think that they would have this item listed in the available models of which to get recipes for. Instead however one must use their imagination one coming up with air fryer recipes. Rice? Nothing here for us, (although I’ve found to just use 8+9 nr). The settings on this one are different than the models with tons of presets so you’re up to your own devices to figure things out, almost as if it’s a different brand.

Updates have progressively made the app worse and it's now unusable. I loved this app but recent updates made it worse. First my recipes folder removed all the categories and lumped all the recipes into one place, which makes it pointless. Can do a search for recipes faster than going through my recipes folder. Then the ability to adjust the number of servings was removed so you have to do the math yourself if you want to make more or less than the original recipe. Now, I can't even log into the app on my iPad and get a blank screen on the main page. Can't even search for anything because nothing is loading, making it effectively useless. I even tried rebooting my iPad but still nothing. Next step is to uninstall and reinstall. I've read developers' comments that they're making improvements. This last update was about 17 hrs ago and I guess it finally broke the app. So disappointed.

broken. Since update, app no longer loads… oh well-deleting

Global brand but imperial measurements. The app seems great with plenty of recipes to choose from. However, having a global reach for the product and only having imperial measurements really lets your customers down. We like the product. Please support us, by making the units adjustable for metric.

Need metric measurements. Please add METRIC measurements- kilograms, grams, millilitres, cups! Otherwise app is easy to use, concise clear instructions and great photos

Not useful without creating an unnecessary account. There’s nothing an account gets me, but I’m needlessly required to create one to do anything useful in this app like specify which Instant appliances I own (such data could easily be stored on my device and synchronised via iCloud without needing any other account). Further, it’s impossible to understand which recipes have been created and tested by Instant professionals, and which have been created by folk without the knowledge to produce reliable results. I love my Instant appliances, but this app needs a lot of work.

Why ?. So, I don’t know why they have a Recipe “filter” Show me recipes for vegetarian - Nek minit all meat dishes ? Show me pasta dishes - shows me tacos ? Please update this or remove this function, it’s redundant. Other then that I can’t comment cause it’s hard to use this way …

Very poor app. This app only covers 4 of the Instant pot appliances.

No option for metric measurements. There’s no option to use metric measurements for the recipes, so the app is completely useless unless you live in the US, Myanmar, or Liberia - the only three countries that still use imperial measures. Great job, Instant Pot. Thanks. Glad you made me sign up for an account for this.

Disappointed. For an internationally recognised brand it is very disappointing that the app is so North American centric. It is not spring in the other half of the planet. Memorial Day is not relevant outside of the US and only 3 countries still continue to use the imperial unit of measurement. The fact you can no longer view in landscape is a minor inconvenience which shows the lack of overall consideration for the user experience. Please provide the planned updates soon so those of us outside the US can continue to enjoy the convenience of what is an otherwise excellent product.

Metric measurements. The app is pretty great and I love all the different recipes it has but there is no way to view the recipes with metric measurements for ingredients. I think having a feature to change between imperial and metric would make this app a whole lot better.

No categories?. It’s not very helpful without categories and filtering out ingredients you don’t have or don’t like doesn’t work.

Update fail unable to use app. As above

Instant Pot. I’m loving this app! So convenient to use and if shopping, the meals and ingredients are there ready so no need to miss any ingredients ❤️

Why did you remove the cooking tables. Latest update they removed the cooking time tables from the splash screen. Probably the most important thing in the whole app, the developer removed. Bad move!

Bring back portion sizes please!. The original app had a selection tool that enabled you to be able to pick how many people you were cooking for and the recipe would convert and show the relevant scaled down ingredients. As I have a mini instant pot most of the recipes in the current app are not relevant as I’m only cooking for 2 people with most recipes being for 4 or more people, please can you bring back the portion size selector? However, as I’m in Australia I do appreciate that metric conversion is now available.

I wish I could add my Vortex Plus 5.7 Air Fryer. I love this app but it doesn’t list my air fryer only the Vortex Plus which is a little disappointing. Otherwise the app is awesome as are their products.

Updated Version wish l hadn’t. Just updated to the new version, som much harder to visually read,, so disappointed, the older version , was great.but this is terrible

What happened to landscape !!!!!. This update needs fixing, you have got rid of landscape for the ipad why ? It is now too awkward to use, a very bad backwards move.

Minimally Useful. It would be much more helpful if the instructions for use were included in the app, I haven’t found any of the information I actually need.

Ok, but …. … my new InstaPot Duo Crisp AF 8L isn’t listed as a device I can add. So, no detailed PDF manual to download, only a copy of the Getting Started manual that came with it and no recipes specific to my model. Playing by ear my only choice it seems. Here’s hoping.

Great App, but it needs imperial to metric conversion. Terrific app, but unfortunately it doesn’t give the user the opportunity to convert imperial to metric system for countries that use the metric system! Keep up the good job and hopefully this is something the app can be improved on.

Took away features in update. This app used to be good, but since the update, you cannot change the serving size which now makes the experience a lot less user friendly. You also took away measurements in the metric system which is annoying for anyone outside of the US.

Very good. Think the sauce needs thickening at the end. I did cut the chipotle down by around 1/4 and the spice factor was perfect. Will be on more rotation list.

Instantly annoying. I’m new to instant pot, and this app is minimally helpful. Yes, I have an instant pot - but it doesn’t even ask me for what size it is. I can adjust quantities - but I have no idea if a recipe will suit the pot I have. Instantly annoying. As mentioned in another review, the meat is measured in cups. I would much prefer it listed in weight or at least being able to change a setting and choose my preferred measurements (or switch between them. As a comparison, KetoDiet app does this exceptionally well). Scales are a common kitchen gadget nowadays, so I think many others would like weight as an option. I’ve only just started, so I don’t know how navigating multiple saved recipes will go, (I usually save a lot) but at this stage I don’t think I will refer to this app very often. I’ll either buy a recipe book, or google.

Missing products. Instant pot duo crisp + air fryer not listed. Even though the app is mentioned all over the box. What is the point of this app?

Ok but requires signup. The application seems to be running well but I cannot view recipes without signing up to their application with an email. Not necessary to my understanding as all the information could be stored locally.

Instant pot. I love, love my instant pot, I can cook everything in it except fried foods, which we don’t eat anyway. Everyone should have an instant pot 👍👍👍

App crashes on iPhone 6Plus running 12.5.1. The app crashes when a recipe is clicked. App developers need to look at the problem

Where are the metric measurements?. The Instant Pots are being bought by many people in other countries, yet no alternative measurements are being offered, which is quite disappointing.

Beginner Instant pot user. I like the App. Easy to use. Recipes are easy to follow. Like the My Cookbook section where you can saved the recipes for future use. Recipes have clear & simple instructions. I am used the metric system, needed conversion. Otherwise, good App.

Who wrote this rubbish!. I’m glad this app was free or i’d be returning it for a refund. It only seems to work in landscape on my ipad. It doesn’t give a complete list of ingredients, you have to read through the entire recipe and assemble it yourself. The recipe is laid out in steps, which isn’t a bad thing, but only one step fits on the screen at a time, so a scrolling we will go. What kind of measurement is Chuck roast 3/4 or chicken thighs 4 3/4. 3/4 of what? A kilo? A cup? A thigh? Good grief! After scanning half a dozen recipes i just deleted it. What utter rubbish, i doubt whoever wrote it has even the slightest understanding of cooking. You would think they would have had someone who cooks look through it at the very least.

Perfection companion to my new instant pot!. Perfect companion app for my new cooker, instant pot Duo nova! I live that I can adapt the recipes to fit with my ingredients on hand, also adjust the quantities. Excellent. Don’t need to my a cook book!

Great idea, needs work. Lovely to have the recipes with cooking times etc adjusted to Instant appliances. Navigation makes the app difficult to use: I’ve got instant pot and air fryer and I can’t filter the recipes by devices quickly. Also, it would be nice if air fryer recipes contained instructions for both pod airfryer (vortex) and oven-style models as the cooking times and temp seem to vary a bit.

Cannot use like a cook book. There needs to be a function to search by category like in a cook book, such as deserts, mains etc. also more clarity whether recipes come from anyone or whether they are tried and tested by IP. Further, there doesn’t seem to be a way to read or add reviews, so how do those ratings come about. Metric measurements would be helpful also. My IP model did not come with a recipe book, but instead advised to refer to the app. Not very informative, better off to look at other websites to learn anything about the Instant Pot as I’m new to it. Disappointed.

Very handy when you’re new to Instapot. I use this app regularly when I’m looking for a new thing to try. I also follow the Instagram page so sometimes I’ll go looking for the recipe on Instapot too. It has a handy comments feature so you can see what other users have thought and what might need to be tweaked. Eg spices, cooking time.

Useful. Very handy & useful. Good for beginner like me😀

Good but not polished. The app is useful, but it should only show me recipes that are for the appliances I have. Instead, I have to open every recipe, scroll all the way to the bottom and see if it’s for my appliance. Few little things like this throughout the app, if they fix it, will be amazing.

Nice recipes but some oddities. I’ve made a couple of recipes and they have turned out well. However, the measurements for meat are pretty bizarre. You would expect meat to be measured by weight, but not in this app. Four and a half cups of chicken thighs. Really? Or whole chicken - 1 and 3/4. What size? What weight?? Who measures a chicken in fractions??? The other annoyance is with the opening page for a recipe. There is a green dropdown over the ingredients list telling you how to edit/adjust quantities. You can’t get rid of the green box and it obscures the first two ingredients. That is a bug that needs to be squashed.

Latest version of the app doesn’t work. Created account twice, fails at login. Did a password reset three times. Finally, it let me login, however it doesn’t show any recipes, won’t allow to connect to any of the devices as well as won’t allow you to access account info.

AOK. I have 3 Instant Pots and the Instant Pot slow cooker. I just ordered the Vortex Clear Cook Air Fryer. 8 t. I had breakfast sausages done in an Air Fryer at a friends house for breakfast and they were PERFECT!!! Same color all around and very crispy. They looked like she had done them in a deep fryer with oil! Delicious!! That sold me on air frying and I got an excellent price on the Vortex. I can’t wait til it arrives. I do most of my cooking in Instant appliances so I didn’t hesitate all all about ordering the Vortex.

New version is bad. The new version is portait mode only (not very useful when using a iPad with a keyboard). In the old version, I sorted all my recipes by categories, now they’re all in one big batch of unsorted recipes…

Latest version is not as good as previous one. We lost - specific timers at every step - multiple bookmark categories - ability to change number of portions How is that an improvement?

Hard boiled eggs. Very easy instructions to follow for a beginner. I recommend this app to beginners and everyone using an insta pot !!

Broken. And blows.. This app isn’t working, as of April 18, 2023. It was a great app more than a month ago, but the latest update made it crappy, and now it doesn’t work at all. Pro tip: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

It's decent. But UX is confusing on first time use.. There is just some observations from a forest time user. ( I'm on an iPhone 12Pro Max.) I find the recipe steps visually difficult to keep track of in multi step recipes, because I tend to skip over some steps when I'm transferring to a gas stove rather than waiting for the built in sauté to come to heat. One thing I noticed was the "Start Cooking" button. I didn't want to "start" the instant pot yet, and assumed that would start it heating. I just wanted to find the steps instructions first before I "Start Cooking". Maybe rename the button to "Instructions" to follow a paradigm that every traditional recipe has. Also, some recipes aren't cohesively written. One soup recipe mentioned a slurry, which was not mentioned before. Had to figure out which of the three parts of the soup was the "slurry". Breville's Sous Vide Oven app does UX a bit better. Check their's out. They have photos and videos for the steps. This not only shows you what is meant when steps are poorly worded, but also provides a visual bookmark of where you are.

Won’t work. App use to work and now it won’t. It opens but I can’t see my favourites or won’t open any recipes

Instant Pot. I can give it a high enough rating. It is constantly being used for everything from bone broth to enchiladas.

New update sucks!!!. Used to be able to categorize saved recipes into different folders now it’s just one long list, no way of searching saved recipes, no way to change portion sizes, or make notes/comments. No longer works in landscape mode on iPad - I used to love propping it up in the kitchen, now it only works in portrait mode. App no longer has built in timers in the recipe instructions. What was the point of this update?

Instant Pot Duo Crisp Air Fryer. I will be getting the Instant Pot Duo Crisp Air Fryer, but wish that this app had that included in the appliance options and recipes for it specifically as I'm not sure if they would be different than the Vortex air fryer

Insta pot. Sur le site il a juste en anglais il pourrais y avoir une place pour le mettre en français pour ceux qui ont un peux plus de la misère en anglais ça serais l idéal en français merci

Recent update DESTROYED the app. I’m trying to use the app for my recipes to determine what groceries to buy. They absolutely gutted some of the most useful features from the app. But now they updated it to the point where NOTHING EVEN LOADS. It’s literally unusable. This app needs a new dev team, perhaps people who actually use the app so they see what they’re doing to it. It has no oversight, it’s a complete afterthought

Instant pot. Hi, I really love the instant pot and have used it many times. It did just stop working though… the receptical for the cord shorted out I think. Not sure if that is able to be fixed. When it works it is awesome though!

Recipes Should Be Simple. Overly complicated app. All that is needed is a database of recipes, user bookmarks, user ratings, and a feed for new recipes. Instead this is a muddle. Worse, images can take forever to load. Classic app overreach.

No longer works with InstaPot Smart WiFi. The new version of the app does not recognize my InstaPot Smart WiFi - at the pairing stage it asks for the InstaPot Pro Plus and does not offer an option for my model. Thus the app won’t link and doesn’t control the InstaPot any more. Please fix this. Thanks. Or make the old version that does work available as a separate download again.

Was great. This app was great but a new version came out that does not allow you to adjust the serving size or change the measurement to metric. Please fix this soon

Good recipes, not great app. This has fantastic recipes, however with the new version, you can’t adjust the serving size which is extremely frustrating. I use a 6 qt and 8 qt for family gatherings. Please fix.

Screen won’t rotate on iPad. I just bought an Instant Pot today for first time. Downloaded this app on my ipad as discovered during signup and review. The app will not rotate on my ipad, that is not the convenient.

Used to be good. Previously I had all my favourite recipes sorted into collections (i.e. chicken, sides, breakfast, soups, etc.), but the latest update took all that away, so my saved recipes (over 200) are one big jumbled mess. It’s now easier to just search for the recipes anew every time rather than trying to find them on what the developers have decided is my “list”, and if I’m going to do that, I might as well just Google fresh ideas.

Pratique et utile 💪🏽. Beaucoup de recettes et les explications sont génial Le seul moins c’est que c’est seulement en anglais

Since latest update. What a disappointment! We lost many useful options since the new update: - can’t change the serving quantities - all favourite recipes are mixed altogether in one and only list (bye bye brunch, dinner, desserts categories…) - can’t use metric system anymore - can’t read or leave a comment - can’t rate a recipe to improve everyone’s experience using this app. After using this app for 2-3 years, I’ll delete it.

Erased EVERYTHING. I am so disappointed in this app. I spent so much time compiling recipe collections, only to have them all erased with the app update because now the company wants to collect all your personal information and force you to create a profile. It was working just fine before. Thanks.

Beef stew. I’ve made the beef stew a few time now, the one with avocado oil. I add double potatoes and mushrooms and yum!

Easy peasy. Mushroom risotto ready before the kids had the table set

No cook complete notifications. Got the Pro Plus with wifi so I could control the IP and get notified during the cooking process from notifications. Everything is working fine except I don’t get notified when cooking is complete. It used to work but stopped working months ago. I still get notified when preheating is done but not when it’s done cooking. Overcooked a bunch of meals because of this “bug” with no fix in sight thus the 2* rating. Has this app been abandoned?

Most Recipes are wrong. This is possibly the poorest quality app I’ve encountered which is a shame since most Instant products have poor documentation. Firstly, more than half of the recipes have critical errors and omissions which means none of them have been vetted. I just tried the lemon Parmesan chicken that omits lemons and Parmesan from the ingredients! Luckily until the last release you could read the comments and find out the errors, but since most of the comments were negative, Instant fixed that by turning off comments. Secondly the app doesn’t consider what hardware you’re using and you’ll often get recipes that your hardware can’t cook such as the air fryer lid. This app needs an overhaul with a view to user use cases and reliability.

Lovely app!. Easy to use

Last update is stupid. Really? My password isn’t strong enough? Do you think I really care is someone discovers my favourite recipes?!? Don’t you think people have enough accounts they have to keep track of? Also, I can’t use the app in landscape mode on my iPad? Why not?

Aboard a catamaran. Convenience and speed is key whilst living aboard a catamaran, and the Instapot is a game changer! It took me about 8 hours of soaking beans and 2-3 hours of cooking them to get to soft-ish. Now, soaked ones done in 8 minutes or unsoaked done in 20 minutes! The recipe app is also perfect for great ideas!

Need an account now. Sad to see you can't do anything with the app without an account now. More data grab. Used to be able to browse recipes without having to enter my details and now can't do anything. Delete.

You need to rotate it back to previous version!. I don’t give a f@#£ about anything else other than: 1. notification when the cooking advance from one phase to the next 2. Change program while it’s still cooking. Give me back this f@#£ing function it’s the most important one, what’s the reason for buying a pricey wifi model if I cannot control it remotely, say to change from pulse pressure release to full blast out?!

Not many controls available. There is not much you can control for Instant pot using this app. Only you can stop or start the device. Improvements required: - It should display the instant pot cooking status on the app as it shows on the instant pot. Not just the cooking time remaining. But the pressure setting, keep warm setting. (even when cooking time is started from the Instant pot not from the app) - It should provide the ability to edit the cooking time, pressure, keep warm options etc. - It should display the keep warm timer on the app too. - It should provide you the option to quick release pressure after specific time of natural pressure release. Please consider including the above suggestions in the app and improve it. So it can be of actual use and be worth it for customers to get the instant pot with wi-fi connectivity. Thanks

Recipes for air fryers with baskets only??. My air fryer is the 10 quart with trays. Why are all recipes only for baskets? What do I do?

Very good but could be even better. - great recipes - good filters - can’t search by filters alone, you need a keyword which is pretty annoying - appliances section doesn’t seem to have any functionality on the app - like that I can create collections of saved recipes

Terrible. Terrible app No adjustments for number of people We don’t cook for 7 people. No adjustments for SIZE of pot Could be mini or larger instant pot Total waste of time

Extremely Disappointed. Extremely disappointed with new version. Can’t change mode, time, venting during cooking. Previous version was much better, hope it will be corrected.

Revamp of app made it useless. It was a pretty basic and useful app before the redesign. Now crashes most of the time on opening. Sometimes the app goes down for the day and won’t load any info. Favourite recipes can’t be categorized or grouped anymore, so now I have a page of 84 recipes in one list that isn’t even searchable. I’ve started just searching for recipes on the web now instead of using this app. It is useless.

garbage. You have to make an account for few air fry recipes.

app is useless. NOTHING works

Missing landscape view. No landscape view? Fix this please

Latest update is terrible. The newest update has removed some of the most best and most useful tools. This version doesn’t allow you to adjust the number of servings, nor does it rate the level of ease, or allow you to read reviews/comments. Any categorization of recipes is lost, so now your favourites are just in a big list. I have no idea how the developers can claim it’s improved when so much of what made this app work has been taken. The previous version was a five-star app, but the way it is now, I’ll likely have to rely on Google.

Thank you for restoring landscape mode!!. Thanks for restoring landscape mode on iPads!! Please, I beg you software developers! If you’re going to make changes to the app, please ensure that they actually enhance the user experience. Otherwise, please leave it as it is. Thank you again! 🙏

No metric. There is no way to switch a recipe to metric, which is baffling and frustrating. I have to look up what the conversions are for pounds and ounces for multiple ingredients constantly. Tedious and inexplicable for an international app that involves measurements. Some of the recipes, predominantly those by the “Instant Culinary Team” are sloppily written, presumably in an attempt to simplify them. For example, listing ingredients that are mentioned in the recipe but not in the instructions, which you guess eventually must be the garnish, even though garnish is not mentioned in the instructions. Not a huge deal, but annoying in context because this app for an extremely popular product from a major corporation should be so much better. It would be great if there was the option to browse general categories (i.e. soups) or types of cuisine (i.e. Thai).

Big downgrade. Previous version was really impressive. But now it’s a complete deception.

Bring back the old version!!. The old version was perfectly fine! I was able to adjust the serving size for a family of two! Now I have to figure out the adjustments on my own! Please restore the old version!

language. i need this application in french please add the french

Moist & tasty Pork Loin with homemade chutney!. Moist & tasty Pork Loin with homemade chutney! Quick and easy with just the right mix of sweet & savoury!

Pas terrible du tout. Me donnait continuellement des recettes pour d’autres appareils même après lui avoir spécifier. Recette Hyper Compliqués, bouffe d’américains trop gros. Bon appareil mais très mauvais app

Great recipes. Recipes are all fantastic so far! Only wish is that you could write notes on things you modified for each recipe for the next time you make it.

Great app with great recipes. It’s not exaggerating to say that since we got our instant pot a week ago 90% of our cooking has been done with recipes from this app. We’ve made molten chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, pot roast, ribs, butter chicken, mushroom and spinach risotto, etc. Our quality of food has gone up and it’s faster than going out for fast food much of the time. I love this app and our instant pot.

Crippling Update. New REQUIRED update that requires iOS 15.5 or higher. I couldn’t update the app (older iOS). I had to install the app on my work phone just to use it so I can make my wife’s favorite recipe for her birthday tonight. Installed the app on my other phone and went into the recipe only to find out YOU CANT CHANGE THE SERVING SIZE anymore! I wasted 30 minutes trying to figure out a way, and google a way to adjust the servings! You can no longer do that, which for me renders this app useless!

Meh..... This took well more than an hour for this recipe. It was somewhat easy to follow with a few issues trying to understand what it wanted. Ie what level is setting for simmer. And the units of measure it is it 5lbs if potatoes or 5 potatoes. I have a duo evo plus so to know what setting to put it on would be helpful. “Transfer one content of inner pot” I didn’t realize it meant take the solid parts out. And thicken the sauce. Taste is not bad maybe cut the pressure cook time for veggies they are disintegrating.

useless so far. When looking for a recipe one can only sort by fad diets and geography, not by ingredients. Not very helpful if one has ingredients to use up in mind, or food allergies, or just plain dislikes. The recipes are only dished out to you one step at a time. you have to fake your way to get any sense of how the preparation is to go. It’s the exact opposite of what I learned over fifty years ago that you should read the recipe through carefully before starting anything. I’m planning on deleting the app and getting a cookbook for the instantpot from the library tomorrow.

Fundamentally flawed. Can’t create your own recipes. Can’t edit saved recipes. Search filters don’t work (searching only instant pot recipes still pulls up air fryer recipes.) Search filters incomplete: “never show me (seafood)” options for people with allergies seems like it should be an obvious feature? At least they have (terrible) vegetarian and vegan filters. Most functions require you to create an account, for no reason except to mine your data. This app does not need to collect contact info or identifiers, but does anyway.

Except. I like the redesign. Everything is easy to read and follow. The only thing I don’t like is being able to categorize my cookbook like I could before. Now I have to scroll through A LOT of recipes to find what I’m looking for. Please bring that back!!

Latest update bug. I haven’t used the app in a while but went in recently to research some new recipes. I had to update the app, after which I could no longer rotate my screen. Is there a setting somewhere that I don’t know about? This is very annoying since I use my iPad case as an easel while I’m using a new recipe.

Update. The recent update really hinders the experience of this app. Before the update you could save recipes into different collections, seamlessly change the serving size and the ingredients needed for it would automatically adjust for you, and the cooking instructions were easier to read and follow. They stripped everything back. No collections, no on-the-spot recipe edits, the instructions read like a list and they used to feel more interactive. I’m bummed..

New version leaves out useful features. I’m disappointed with the features removed in the update that were useful. I used to have my favorites organized into categories. That organization was lost with the update. The recipes used to have handy timers built into the instructions. That’s gone. And the app used to allow me to set the number of people and it would adjust the ingredients. Gone. It’s just a generic recipe app at this point.

All the useful features are now gone. Latest update has no search function, no way to adjust portion sizes, no built-in timers when steps call for it, and what I found to be the most helpful aspect has been completely eliminated: the ability to leave comments and reviews of the recipes to help improve them for future use or document modifications to ingredients. I recommended the app to everyone I knew with an Instant Pot before, but I can’t do the same with this version, unfortunately. Please revert everything back!

Please update!. It would be awesome if IP would have a feature where we can simply choose ingredients that we have in our pantry and easily search up recipes to match those ingredients that we have on hand. Also, please include more variety in recipes such as gluten- free, keto, and vegan please! Also, please update appliances since IP has more than just the three offered. Looking forward to the updates!

Great app for all things Instant Brand!. It’s great being able to find all sorts of recipes for the instant pot, air fryers, & anything else instant brand. If you’re unsure of recipes there’s usually enough comments to help get ideas on how to improve anything. This app has been incredible in helping me utilize my new kitchen tools

Update is terrible update: even worse. You used to be able to read the comments of the ratings, can’t do that anymore. And be able to change the size of the portions. Seriously why was that taken away? This “improved” update is garbage. They “updated”… with no updates of what literally everyone was saying they wanted. Bring back ability to change serving size and ability to read comments. Updating after 2 or so updates. It now won’t even load the main page, just white. Negative review if I could.

I used to love the Instant Pot App!. The new version of the app is terrible. All of the favorites I had saved for years disappeared once I updated and I couldn’t find some of them anymore. It’s as if no one tested this update before releasing it. They removed the ability to scale recipes and removed nutrition information, which is an important part of using this app. Without that it’s not nearly as useful. They also removed the ability to add a recipe to your shopping list. Why would you remove useful functions as an “improvement”?? Also, the ipad version is no longer full screen and is just a tiny window making it useless. I really hope Instant Pot will bring back the important features they removed in order to make this app useful again.

Great idea, TERRIBLE execution. They want you to choose your appliance so you can find recipes. Which sounds amazing! Well I choose my appliance and all I see if recipes for the other products. I have the air fryer that has all these amazing things I can with it: dehydrate, proof, roast, etc. and yet I can’t find a single recipe anywhere on this app to use these cool functions. Very disappointing as I bought my air fryer under the impression that this app would give me support and ideas for recipes. I still love my air fryer though, just not this app!

Excellent app & even better resource to maximize enjoying your InstaPot. Extremely easy to use with guided step-by-step instructions and built-in timer features for creating the same delicious recipe you discovered within the extensive library of community submissions…and ratings!!!

Insta Pot 9. Love this simple operating machine ! If one can just read and follow directions from the 1000 recipes that are on this app and also be able to push 2 buttons when told to.. it’s for you! Super safe pressure cooking at its best! I rate it a high 5.. but not for people afraid of change!

Delish!. I reduced it to 4 servings and prepared it pretty much exactly as called for. I did sautéed a boneless skinless chicken breast with salt and pepper in 1 tablespoon of oil before following the the recipe as it was my main dish. Think I’ll add some veggies next time too. It as perfectly al dente but I was concerned there was too much water left when I did the immediate auto release but it got absorbed nicely as i stirred in the cheese. I will make this creamy deliciousness again.

Helpful for beginners. My wife was planning to make potato soup for dinner in our crockpot. I convinced her to let me make it in our Instant Pot. She reluctantly approved. I admit that I was nervous. However, this Ap helped me with step-by-step instructions that any husband can follow. The soup turned out excellent!!! Now my wife said she’s looking forward to me making more meals. I think that’s a good sign (smile).

What a difference an app makes.. I’m not a huge fan of the Instant pot physical interface, the dial that chimes as you are selecting features and the overall difficulty of configuring settings through the one knob just wasn’t working for me. The app makes such a huge difference, punch in your settings and you’re done!

Useless Portrait Mode Forced on IPad Users. Seriously, this app will not allow rotation to landscape mode which is who most all iPad users use!!! Gosh, it is almost 2024 and this app will not allow this??? This forced portrait only mode means I will delete this and find an app that will allow this as most iPad owners have holder and keyboards and use their iPad in landscape mode and don’t want to have to remove it from the case or turn our heads sideways. Nothing like turning off a user before they even see what good recipes this app might have.

Can’t search by appliance. I have the instapot and the instantVortexPro. You enter all your appliances in the app but can’t specify which appliance you want to use when searching for recipes. I searched for rotisserie chicken recipe and came up with a bunch for the instapot (including recipes using cut up rotisserie chicken) but couldn’t find anything for the air fryer. There should be a way an easy to search for recipes by appliance. If there is, I can’t figure it out.

Not for IPads. I had this app and worked with it while using my iPad before the latest version. It worked fantastic. I shared it with many others and I couldn’t wait to continue to get recipes and use it. However, the latest version made it the worst app I’ve ever seen. Now it’s a single page that doesn’t function at all with the horizontal screen when using an iPad. I deleted it and hope that it will someday come back to the version that preceded it, which was outstanding.

Amazing. I was late to the insta Pot craze. But than my Daughter got me one for my birthday and it’s been the one kitchen gadget that I use at least 4 times a week. Recipes are easy and turn out even better than I expected. From the simple baked potatoes to corn on the cob. And the famous Beef Pot roast. I will never ever go back to the old way of cooking. User for life. Better late than never.

Wow! This is bad. I thought I’d be able to select the Instant Pot I have and find recipes based on that. Nope. Then I thought I could make it work because the first recipe I opened the app popped up a note saying I could adjust the amounts based on what I have on hand. Nope. You can’t adjust amounts. I have the Duo Mini. Most recipes are written for the 6 quart pot. The Mini is 3 quarts. So I have to figure it all out manually, which sort of defeats the purpose of having the app. I can find basic recipes other places and do the math myself to convert for my pot size. You guys really need to rethink this app. Not all of us are buying “smart pots”.

Enjoying the new app. I am really liking the new app but I would like to know what is timed release because there’s no amount of minutes to put in there so I’m curious of. What do you use it for because I thought that’s what was missing was a timer for a timed release.

No burn notice!. This is the best app for recipes for your Instant Pot! Because of the nature of this unit, I would never try to figure out liquid to solids ratios myself. I have always followed a recipe and, it only has everything I tried been delicious, I have never received a burn notice. This app also works for the air fryer and A e Nova blender of the same brand. It is a handy place to store favorite recipes, as well.

Great app. Needs updated.. Pro-I love the simple step by step nature. This should help my daughter learn to cook easier. Con-The listed appliances need to be updated for duo crisp or air fryer lid. Some of the “very easy” recipes don’t seem that easy. I would prefer the recipes filter so it doesn’t show recipes that I don’t have the equipment for (why tell it what appliance(s) I have if it doesn’t filter?).

Sorry answers. These “cookie cutter” answers to the problems with the recent update are disappointing at best, especially for the blind community who rely on this app and the wifi enabled pot for safe cooking. Please give an answer as to why the previous app that works with iOS voiceover cannot be made available for blind users or a better explanation of a timeline in when this feature will be back up and running. Either that or offer a refund for these blind users as you have made your product inaccessible now to them.

DinnerDasher1. Many new recipes and improvements to the app recently. Nice job! Less bugs. It’s now my go to app for my Instant Pot. Can’t wait to try more recipes. Developer bug awareness… Can you fix the filters section so it doesn’t jump back to “Total 2hrs” and difficulty “hard” every time I scroll up and down in the filters section. Thx. Then it’s 5 stars.

New March 2023 update. Can’t browse & more.. I can no longer see any recipes on the home page except those highlighted in the app. I can’t browse or see any categories. Your Dutch oven & your ACE blender are not choices in “My Kitchen” tab. I see my saved recipes. I want to be able to browse & see categories. I don’t want to have to put them in the search bar. Please explain how to get to the recipes other than the few the app has on its home page. Thank you.

No Omni Air Fryer Option. I downloaded this app because the manual and support response told me this is where I could find recipes for my new air fryer oven (Omni Pro). The Omni is not available to select in the appliance list. Even if some recipes overlap with the Vortex fryer, I should still be able to select my product. I don’t know if the Vortex recipes will work as written in the Omni. I really want to learn how to use my appliance with some simple recipes. The recipes in the small recipe booklet that came with it were all too fancy for my family and skill level.

Filtering terrible. During setup of app, asked all these questions and ignores the responses when you get to the recipes view. That filtering doesn’t account for all food types or protein choices (as asked during setup preferences). It resets each time. I personally and not a vegan, but vegan, deserts, and Asian recipes are the first ones I see and always see. If that’s what your looking for it will be easy for you to use, otherwise be sure to use favorites because you may not find it again or a lot of scrolling

Bad.. App was always mediocre at best. New update is a major regression. Breaks horizontal/landscape orientation on iPad and maybe iPhone. No way to easily explore recipes. Have to stab in the dark with search terms and hope their parameters pull back what you’re looking for. No specifics on the ratings. Before they told you how many people had contributed to a recipe’s rating. Almost no helpful search filters. Can’t explore or search by any recipe categories except for the handful curated on the main page, which are not terribly helpful. Honestly, it would take me much longer than I care to spend to enumerate all the app’s deficiencies. Suffice it to say that it’s an impressively terrible app given how established this brand is and how many other apps are out there that do things so much better.

Awful Update. I used to read comments on every recipe before cooking it just see what I was getting into, but they took away all comments with the new update. You used to be able to have different lists of recipes where I had organized recipes I wanted to try and ones I loved, but they took that away too so now my recipes that I loved are in a jumble of recipes I have yet to try so I can’t find anything. It feels like they stripped the app of everything that made it a good app with this update

Good flavor. I thought the instructions were a little vague. The last step is to broil for 3 minutes. One side, both sides? I broiled 3 minutes on each side. I used one inch thick, bone on chops. The recipe does not state thickness nor does it mention to brush both sides of the chops with BBQ sauce. I suppose I guessed correctly. If my chops were thinner, they may have been dry. Mine came out great!

Updates have ruined this app. Every time they update this app, I log in and find that all of my saved recipes are gone. Has happened multiple times. Also, some of the changes have made it less user friendly. If you could go back to a version from a year ago and stay there, this would be a raving review. After the update I received today, I’m done with this app. I’ll go back to paper recipes. So tired of trying to find my favorites over and over again.

No longer iPad-friendly. Not loving the re-designed app (March 2023). No more landscape mode on the iPad, so really hard to use in the kitchen. The built-in timer also seems to be gone. Other than that, I mostly like the app. Wish it were easier to dig in to see tips from folks who have already made the recipe, since there are sometimes some ambiguities in them.

Serves how many?. I am pretty well pleased with the newly updated app, but I’m disappointed that you removed the ability (found in the previous version) to adjust the number of servings. These days, my wife and I are empty nesters and we don’t need a recipe that serves six. Yeah, I can do the math manually, but it was so much easier to just tap the “serves” category and type in a lower number.

Basic app. App is ok but there are quite a few basic issues. For example, you can’t enter your specific instapot model, so many recipes “max out” serving size because the app assumes I have a small instapot (which I don’t). Finding simple recipes is also harder than it should. Want to do simple basmati rice or plain oatmeal. Good luck, scroll through dozens of fancy recipes to get to the basic one.

My favorite feature is gone!!. Before the last update I would have given 5 stars, more if I could. I’ve found great recipes and the instructions are well written. But in the last update they removed the feature that allowed you to size the recipe for smaller portions. I liked being able to make a smaller amount of food. Bring that feature back please!!!

Quick and convenient. I’m always late to making a meal or throwing something together cause I don’t have a plan. This app is perfect for those moments, and for the moments when I do make a plan! They have quite the variety and it quickly made me feel comfortable putting together many different kinds of meals.

Helpful. I amFinding this app very helpful. I just bought my instant pot and I’m trying to get familiar with it and its capabilities. I did aSweet rice dish and it turned out pretty well. The onlyReason that I did not give them five stars is it would be helpful to have a ingredient list at the start of the recipe,Otherwise so far I am enjoying the app And I am looking forward to trying more recipes.

Good for Instant Pot recipes, but nothing for the Air Fryer Lid. There isn’t an option for the Air Fryer Lid, unfortunately. That was the main reason I downloaded the app. Wish I read the reviews first before doing so. Also, there’s only vegetarian and vegan options when using the recipe filters. The recipes without the dietary restrictions I saw for just the Instant Pot looked delicious and helpful. I’ll still look through the app for inspiration, but searching for Air Fryer Lid recipes online will be the better option for now.

Put Roast. As a family of adults and young adults we are taking turns trying new recipes! The recipes are tasty and the timing is helpful. We love that you can edit out adjust the recipes on the app. If you’re starting new, notice that some recipes have time in them while you wait for the stream to release naturally... for a roast that could be over 2 hours!

Free or not free?. Like many apps, apple and devs do not indicate if the app is actually free. It should made specifically clear if app is charging you money or not. In this case the Touch ID stated “processing payment” but then downloads the app all while you are left wondering did the app download just auto debit my bank account. Unfair, unclear and unjust. Other than this glaring fault, overall a fun, clear, useful food app. 👍

No way to export ingredients to a shopping list. Why on earth would you make this app and then not allow us to at the very least copy the text of the ingredients and amounts for them? There should be a simple export for ingredients that I can then add to my shopping list. This app is honestly useless unless you expect us to only shop for one recipe at a time. Do better. This is honestly probably gonna make me return this smart model because what’s the point of it if I can get the ingredients into a uniform shopping list!

Find Great Instant Pot Recipes. These recipes are perfect for people like me who are learning to use an Instant Pot. You can also read recipe ratings and comments before making a dish, and then provide your own rating/comments. This app has been very helpful for finding easy, delicious recipes that turn out great!

Still no receipts for the Dutch oven. Insta pot advertises when you purchase the Dutch oven appliance that there are recipes in the app to help get you started. The book that comes with the device is very limited with ideas and recipes when purchased a few months ago it was promised that this would be updated with recipes in the device is not even listed as an option. I think Insta pot needs to follow through on what they are advertising and promoting.

Great recipes with good cooking instructions.. Great recipes with good cooking instructions. For most of the things I have made in the instant pot, I have used a recipe from the instant pot cookbook. i’ve gotten used to how one would make a substitution, and I’ve slowly learned how not to add too much water to a dish. Sometimes when there isn’t a recipe, I will Google to look for a recipe that is for an instant pot.
