Doesn’t connect!. Today had an update and it says minor bugs fixed but still doesn’t connects to the speakers to be able to update the firmware. Why did you make the app available for IOS if doesn’t work at all? What kind of bugs you think you are fixing here?

Wow! Great new update.. I own an LG XBOOM PL7! And, I love the new UI update just made 2 days ago. It’s so much better and a much cleaner design, the XBOOM Team is doing a really good job making the product on the APP side overall a lot better. The speaker itself is PERFECT!

Despicable. How can you sell such an amazing speaker but can’t fix an app, it’s been over a year and i still can’t connect my iPhone to the speaker using this app, how am i supposed to update my speakers software if i can’t connect it to the app, I’m a huge LG fan so I’m extremely disappointed and disgusted with the disservice we the customers are getting with this app and noone on the other side seems to care, save your money and buy a Sony or JBL instead they don’t have these simple to fix issues and don’t ignore it.

This app does not support the RK7. What’s the point of this app if it don’t work it’s almost like false advertisement so disappointing I should’ve got the JBL

Won’t connect. Like so many other reviews, the App will not connect to the speaker. One star because I have to give a star, but basically zero stars.

The app won’t connect at all. Like everyone else says... speaker is connected to my phone but the app only reads “disconnected” no matter what I try. Will be wary of purchasing from LG again.

App stopped working. Worked fine until about three weeks ago. Now can’t adjust lights.

App won't recognize connected device. I got this app with the intent to update the firmware on my pk7 speaker. Even with the current software update to the app, it still won't recognize that the device is connected, rendering it completely useless. Apparently this has been an on going issue for months now, please fix this.

No light settings. There is no light adjustment or settings icon at all in my app which I just downloaded today.

I can’t connect my iPhone with the speaker. I wish they have a turn on the speaker in the app so they can connect or something so that my IPhone can connect with the speaker again

Waste. I have an IPad and the LG CL88 XBOOM. All this app does is allows me to search and play my music. No controls for any of the other functions. Total waste of time.

Shows “Disconnected” when connected.... ... and therefore no access to the tools to power up, control EQ, LED lights, etc. I tried reloading the app, forgetting the device, everything. It simply does not recognize the PK 7! LG, get your act together! This should just work.

Speaker no device connect. At some point I thought the speaker was bad,is buffering looking to connect,and say!!, no device connection or XBOOM no connect or pairing problem,all the rest work,bad app,only works the first time i bring speaker

Works fine. Got a PL5 for free with a CX and this app works just fine for everything that it promises to do. Could have more lighting options though. Not sure why all these negative reviews saying it's broken; maybe people aren't connecting through the system-level Bluetooth menu before trying to use the app?

I love the idea of the app but…. It is a great idea for an app but it will not let me connect my lg pk7 to the app and I have read in other reviews that people are having the same issues and I believe that it is because we have i phones and it is not designed to work with iPhones. I would love if you guys aka the developers could fix this.

Still works with my PL5(ED). I had an iPhone 7 Plus and the app stopped working with my PL5(ED) months back. I got a 15 Pro Max and redownloaded the app and everything works again even if the app is pretty bare bones...

Is it compatible with IOS?. Really developers ? How long are you gonna sit in this ? Will you ever make it compatible with Apple devices ?

Useless app 👎🏻. I downloaded the app hoping for a great experience and maybe a firmware update and it won’t connect to my brand new PK7W. I expected more from you LG how is the iPhone version of the app this broken. One Star 👎🏻.

Total garbage. I connected to bluetooth like 4 times and it still said I needed to connect to use the app. Pretty fatal error right there. Might be worth fixing, LG.

Bad bad bad. Bought a PK7 and non of the lg apps work w iOS ! Can’t update firmware can’t do anything ! Now I’ll return this paperweight and pick up a JBL that works fine w N iPhone !

Poor product. *** Only gave it one star because I had to. Just purchased a new stereo system and of course bought an LG sadly though that was my biggest mistake and of course once again another product of theirs does not work like it is suppose to.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 8+, returning. The app doesn’t work even though my phone connects just fine with the pk7. I can play music but the app just says disconnected. Tried with my iPad too. LG, this should be compatible with Apple products!

Xboom app don't work with (all) xboom systems. Wish I could upload the screenshot of it boldly saying my xboom stay is not supported

Got a XBOOM pk7 downloaded this app and nothin It won’t pickup the speaker at all first I thought maybe the speaker was defective but I tried it on my friends cheesy 60 dollar phone and it worked fine he also has a pk5 that works no problem so I tried his pk5 on my phone still nothing how is it working on his cheap phone and not my 7plus??? Very very frustrating On a side note it seems you DEVELOPERS don’t care this app is as low as it can be rated it seems you don’t wanna do your job a deliver a working app STEP IT UP

Connected and can control volume.... But that’s it. No access to the lighting scheme or anything else for that matter. I have to use my daughter’s Samsung to connect and make changes or update. Come on devs- take some pride.

Does what it needs to. It does what it needs to. Connects to speaker quickly and can change settings via app.

LG Actually Create an Apple App, PLEASE!!!. What is the point of this “app?” There’s nothing there and it won’t connect to the device, even though my iPhone 12 Pro Max connects to it. I tried several different ways, to no avail. Ridiculous! Thank goodness the speaker works great, I just wanted to see what other features the app might have, like Sonos gives you. I guess LG doesn’t want to play with the big boys...

App features disappeared. After updating the app & the speakers the app no longer has the party link feature & some other features have disappeared from the app also. LG you guys need to fix these bugs or improve this app after the update the app has become useless

Disappointing. I just bought an XBOOM Go and it doesn’t connect to the iOS app at all. I used my mothers Samsung and it worked first try. It’s obvious that LG is neglecting its iOS customer base. The speaker is amazing but I’m considering returning it due to the lack of functionality without the app. I can’t tune the EQ, edit the light settings, or see the battery percentage without it. Get it together LG.

Doesn't offer much but works fine. I have the LG XBOOM GO w/ Meridian sounds fantastic. The app allows access to customize your sound if you want via equalizer and can can change the color scheme of the LED lights along with how the lights blink with the music. However, you really don't need it all. You can turn off and on their "Sound Boost"physically on the speaker which actually is a nice custom sound that helped everything pop quite a bit.

Really?. A major company like LG and this app is literally pointless right now? Judging by the reviews, it’s been like this for some time. You can’t do anything on the app, literally nothing.

It doesn’t do anything don’t waste your time. This app doesn’t do anything. It loads up and does nothing. It doesn’t pick up any of my music. I have Apple Music and it’s supposedly suppose to work with it but it doesn’t. It doesn’t see anything or do anything. There’s really nothing else to say other than to don’t bother wasting your time on this app. The most useless app in the Apple App Store. Apple should remove it from their store as it’s an embarrassment to Apple.

App looses support for devices.. I have a LG-PL2 which the app worked fine on until 7 months ago. The app updated and now my speaker is not supported. Come on LG you must do a better job than this. I will not buy another LG speaker because I don’t trust them to not do the same thing again with other products. I bought my speaker new 18 months before it stopped working with the app.

How does it still not work... at all!?!?. This app is a perfect example of people NOT caring. It just doesn’t work, plain and simple. Even when connected to my phone itself it shows as disconnected in the app. I’ve had bad apps before but never one that just didn’t do anything but take space. I give it -10 stars

RK7 speaker. Paid $460 for this LG speaker and this app won’t even pair with the speaker on my iPhone or iPad. I can only connect the Bluetooth which only let me get up to 25 out of 40 in volume and I can adjust EQ and other settings on the speaker. Waist of money. Will never buy LG again.

It say's that it's disconnected. I bought a pk7 today, i have connected it but it shows (Disconnected) in the app!! Fix!!!!

Absolutely worthless. Shame on Apple for approving this app to be in the store. They have not allowed much more finished apps in the App Store due to “bugs.” Not sure how this is kept on the store due to it not even recognizing that you are connected to your speaker. Shame on LG, shame on Apple.

Doesn’t work. So the PK7 worked great with the app when I had a Samsung phone. Now I have an iPhone and it won’t work, which means it’s worthless. I’ve bought a product from you that I can no longer actually use effectively. Thanks for that.

Why can’t I use Party Link?. I bought a second speaker (XBOOM GO PL5) so that I could run these in stereo. Why isn’t the option in the app?

Doesn’t Connect - Unacceptable. Even though the PK7W is connected and can play music this App will not connect to the speaker. So unfortunately you cannot check it update firmware version. Unacceptable.

Literally Took Away Speaker Functionality. This app has literally removed rather than added speaker functionality, the app originally paired with my LG GP3 bluetooth speaker and allowed for changing of the LED color displayed, changing the input/connection type used (which is critical for connecting wired to a ps4 which I often did) and even allowed a master volume control that allowed a better control of volume than setting volume ok connected devices. However, with a recent update every time I now open the app I am told the app is no longer compatible with my speaker. This means all those features above are completely locked away and my speaker was set to a low master volume in the app meaning it is essentially useless as I can no longer adjust that volume, or any of the above settings, without the app. Thanks LG, for making and ruining a great product!!! :)

You have to update. It’s stopped turning on my xboom on9 by connecting just with Bluetooth.

Another one of LG brand failures.. So like pretty much all of LG products and software this app is a failure. Useless waste of space of apple App Store. Lg just remove your junk from the markets and let the real companies have the space.

Does not work with LG GP9. I updated the lg gp9’s software because the app prompted me to, but now it’s telling me that the device is not supported with this app.

Cant connect Bluetooth speaker with LG XBOOM app. I have a Bluetooth speaker (LG XBOOM PN7) however it can't not connect with this app while it still play music. The app give me a notification "There is an issue with LG-PN7 - This device is not supported this app". I don't know how and I need a fixed version for this issue.

Try it yourself!. Don’t believe all these negative reviews. This app works for the P7 version of the speaker and I am currently on an Iphone 13. I can use the equalizer and all other settings just fine.

App doesn’t connect with speaker. I get an error connecting with the app although Bluetooth is connected and plays music. I have no functionality that I used to have such as adjusting sound eq, lighting etc. Please update a patch

Useless. I tried to connect my xboom pk5 even though it’s connected via bluetooth i can play music with other apple apps this app does bot connect the device. I don't think the developers have done a real world test.

Missed the mark on a couple of things.. App works fine for PL7, disappointed that can not use app for PL2, and cannot multi link all the X boom PL platforms. (PL7-PL2). Missed opportunity.

Wont connect to app after update. I have the ON 7 and the app gets stuck on a loading screen then says speaker timed out, it worked perfect until it’s update, please fix your mistake soon

App doesn’t recognize device. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, the speaker is connected via Bluetooth however the app doesn’t recognize the speaker… it doesn’t appear in the app (pk7 XBOOM) Tried with a google pixel and works perfectly.

Completely non-functional. This app won’t let you pair two of the speakers together. The android app does let you do this, but the iOS app does not. LG had no clue when I called.

LG 4590. Bought the LG 4590 700 watt home stereo system and just downloaded the XBOOM free app. It is fantastic. Have 2400 songs on my IPhone and IPads and they stream beautifully on my 4590. The songs are displayed alphabetically and play well as a playlist. Who needs FM radio although I have that too on my system. This plus my Apple and Amazon unlimited playlists and I am in Seventh Heaven. Great app for LG Bluetooth stereo systems.

Shows device as disconnected. Doesn’t connect to anything as others have said. App apparently works fine on android and even updates firmware. Why doesn’t it do anything for iOS? Currently entirely useless.

Useless App. Beyond my understanding why Apple would allow an incompatible app in their App Store. This app is absolutely worthless. App will claim unable to connect to Bluetooth even though iPhone is playing via Bluetooth. Your better off connecting with an android phone.

App doesn’t recognize Bluetooth speaker is connected to device.. After resetting speaker (xboom go pk5), rebooting devices (iPhone & iPad) and reloading app numerous times I couldn’t get the app to connect. The devices connect to speaker and play music but app doesn’t recognize that Bluetooth speaker is connected. Even called LG support they told me to reset speaker by holding down the power button for 10 sec then trying again but no luck. They said that lg xboom app was no longer supported but the that lg Music Flow Bluetooth app should work but neither worked. So I dug up an android phone and load the app and it worked and was able to install the firmware update which did improve the sound a bit more.

PK7 XBOOM does not connect or work with this app. Please fix or remove the app. I’d rather you didn’t have the app up at all (like you did before) than have a complete broken app in the iOS App Store. doesn’t support a model it says it supports. i just bought the PL series XBOOM speaker from Sam’s and even though the PL series is one of the supported models listed in the application description, the app doesn’t recognize the device. i’ve forgotten the device and reconnected to it with this app open and nothing happens. i also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the speaker, and the app does nothing. LG, don’t advertise connectivity features THAT YOU DO NOT MAINTAIN. If you’re going to spend the resources to code a pretty piece of software, do it for software that you’re gonna care for from start to finish. what a waste of coding LG.. i feel bad for programmers.

Unbelievable READ THIS. I’m curious to know why you update your apps more on Google than Apple. This is not right at all.

PK7 issue. PK7 not recognized as connected in the iPhone app but works just fine on android app. Can still play music but I lose a lot of features due to the app not working.
