Like Butter. I remember Henny hinting about this app a few months ago when he showed his iPad music apps in one of his videos. I’m honestly wowed by this app. It is not chock full of presets, but ALL of the ones included are butter smooth, eclectic and ultimately beautiful and useable. Definitely inspirational. I can’t wait to create my own. This app is definitely plug and play. I got lost in it yesterday. I’m all the way wid’ it, baby. That it’s roots are connected to an HBCU is the icing on the cake. Henny, Kennard, AudioKit, Morehouse...Keep risin’ up!

Not velocity sensitive. Seems like it only has two velocity levels. The timbre of the two is very different. If you are a pianist avoid this one.

Inconsistent volume/velocity response and abrupt sample stepping. Velocity response has very abrupt “stepping” between the rounder mellow “soft” notes and the classic growl of the “heavy” notes. What really ruins the experience for me is the growly notes are actually QUIETER than the softer ones! The samples catch some really interesting nuances from the tines and seem high fidelity but there can be a very distracting background hiss in some. I am using this with a MIDI keyboard that works great with every other well known keyboard synth for iOS.

It feels like and instrument. Fun to use, versatile but with the right amount of controls. It’s not a sample collection, it feels like a real instrument full of expressive possibilities. Thank you guys for bringing this beauty to the AppStore!!

Good app. The only thing is the airy hiss sound I get when I play the Ep sounds other that I would have gave this app a Five. If someone could fix that it will be great. Maybe the real Rhodes has that hiss sound in it don’t know but If I could control it a Five it would be.

UI scaling problems fixed. Update: The latest update fixed the UI issues I was experiencing in AUM and GarageBand. I’m very grateful. I really like the simplicity and immediacy of this app. Sounds great! I plan to use this a lot in my music. Old review: It cuts off the bottom of the GUI when I bring it into GarageBand as an AU. When I bring it into AUM, it’s huge and can’t be rescaled. It’s not useable as an AU like this. I don’t see anyone else having this issue, but it’s frustrating on my 12.9" 2020 iPad Pro.

It from Henny tha bizness. Like the title says, it from Henny tha bizness! It sounds great and the selected handful of presets are better than an app with 100 presets and only 5 of them sound decent. I like 80% of the included presets. The interface is clean and out of the way with minimal knobs so I concentrate on making music, it’s stand alone and auv3, and it’s for the kids!! Oh... and again, it sounds great! Awesome job on this app everyone!

Sounds Great. The app contains beautifully sampled Rhodes Mark 1 electric piano sounds. The variety of presets are wonderful. There almost isn’t a bad cord you can play because the tones are so beautiful and warm. It sounds very real, warm and authentic. You can also adjust the setting to create your own presets. I use the app by hooking my iPad up with a mid keyboard and cranking up the volume. If you select “play in background” in the app then I can even open other apps like Music notes to read the music that I’m playing. This app sounds 1000% better than the Rhodes electric piano presets in my expensive name brand electric piano. I haven’t tried it with a DAW yet, but in response to other reviews which discuss problems using the app with a DAW, I have had problems with iOS apps from various developers not working as expected with DAWs (Logic Pro X & Garage Band). It’s a trial and error process, but you can probably find a You Tube video to help walk you through your setup. The developer has a You Tube channel. In addition to the great authentic sounds this app produces, it is RIDICULOUSLY AFFORDABLE!!! $3.99 is an absolute steal. Plus, it benefits charity and helps to educate young musicians. I love this app! LOVE IT!

Top tier sound. Far and away the best sounding rhodes I’ve come across on iOS. Heck I even prefer this app to most of the rhodes VSTs on my laptop (addictive keys included). Keep up the great work!

Amazing by the quality. There may not be many presets, but each one that are there feel very thought out and flavorful. The sonic quality of this app is worth every penny. Don’t question it, just pay for it now you will thank me later...

House Mark 1 Electric Piano. I’ve played Rhodes electric pianos since the 70’s. They are a piano of their own! The House Mark 1 captures the sound of one. If you can’t sit at a Rhodes, playing the House Mark 1 is very satisfying. Its Bluetooth function found my keyboard controller right a way! No latency to notice! *** I think a bit more time in designing a velocity function should stop the “barking effect”. That’s tough! Thank you for my copy of House Mark 1.

That’s it... AUDIOKIT. My title to this review is what people say when looking for that sound they want. “Oh!!! That’s it! What is that?!?” Response. “AUDIOKIT”... Another outstanding app! I felt like I was starting off the song AS by Stevie Wonder. The low end sounds amazing. The whole deal just sounds smooth. Like other apps are in 440 and this app is in 432. Just a peaceful tone.

That Vintage Sound. I’m going to make this short and sweet. If you can appreciate the beautiful sound of the Rhodes, then you will appreciate this app. It’s truly awesome. But don’t take my word for it. Get it and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s just a single piano with a few effects. I’ve got nearly all the apps by audiokit and I think audiokit’s apps all sound so incredible. And this app is no exception to that, yes, this app sounds great. But upon stumbling upon this app, I wasn’t really aware what exactly it was. It looked like maybe another synth or something. The description did mention a piano, but I’m not sure if it was totally clear that this was going to be NOTHING but just one piano. So just to be clear: every single preset sounds like the exact same piano. The only thing about that sound that changes is the effects and stuff, but no matter what you change, it’s still gonna sound like the same wonky-tonk piano.

Another Amazing App from Audiokit. I have a lot of piano apps and some are bland and very unrealistic sounding, then I have others that have such an enormous amount of info and presets that you can’t store it on your iPad then you have this one . Super great sounding like the real deal and not too many presets and just the right amount of options for sound adjustment. Simple and Straight Forward. Quick and easy download. Opened it up and all the controls and navigation were simple and straight forward and YES sounds great. As a keyboard player, this is a great app and great sounds to use in putting down your ideas anywhere. Pick this up !!!!

Great sound, but a few issues seriously cripple its usefulness.. As many others have already attested to, this app is a beautifully well done Rhodes recreation. Sadly, when I use it with Cubasis as an AU3, it suffers from 2 major issues. The first is that when recording on a midi track, the built in keyboard does not send midi data to the DAW. This can be overcome by using the Cubasis keyboard or an external midi controller. It’s not a dealbreaker since there is a solution, but it is annoying as I prefer the velocity response on the app’s keyboard and it’s not always convenient to hook up a controller. The second problem basically renders the app useless. Once you go to the trouble to get your midi data recorded and your song sounding nice, you want to be able to export everything and share your music of course. So, you hit the mix down button but when you listen back, the Housemark track is completely missing! There’s no way to render your finished song, so why bother using the app at all? I don’t know if this is an issue with just Cubasis, or with other DAWs that load Housemark as an AU3, but I’ve never experienced these issues with their other apps, so it seems like it should hopefully be an easy fix. Please do so soon so I can update my review to a 5 star and get to share my songs that I put so much work into!

The Best And Most Affordable Rhodes App. This is hands down the best and most affordable rhodes and electric piano app EVER. Shout out to Henny Tha Bizness, Kennard Garrett, AudioKit, and the incredible students at Morehouse College who worked on this. All that hard work has definitely paid off!

App Volume Way Too Low. This app is unusable when running with other apps in an AUV3 situation, as even with the master volume turned up full, it is way too low volume compared to every other VST I have on iOS, which numbers in dozens. Too much hassle to adjust volumes across all the other apps I sometimes have running in AUV3 projects, just to match House Mark 1. It will not be used until hopefully fixed, even in standalone, as I have other electric piano apps that function properly.

Why I dig it, and the one little issue for me. Firstly , I loved the history of this iOS app. The educational nature of it really inspired me to buy It. Your straightforward explanation of the layout and design Was spot on and well done. As a hack (never lie to yourself my day always said) keyboard Player, I love the sound of a board like this. It inspires me to try an be better. The one teeny tiny issue was I wish it was a touch louder. Thats it. I love it

Almost Pretty Good. I want to start my review by saying I subscribe to Henny’s YouTube change and have watched all of his content and have built my iPad production and video setup mostly from his videos and recommedations. His content is high quality, VERY helpful, and I’ve sent his content to dozens of people personally. I bought the app just because Henny’s name was attached to it. That said, as a keyboard player, I’m not very impressed with the “Classic” preset of the app. It’s to boomy and needs more midrange on the lower registers or else you’ll get a really muddy mix.The native EP in Garage Band and a couple of other EP apps sound much better. BUT.... The other presets are great for new school hip hop, LoFi, and trap. My 16 year old son is also getting into iOS prodution (because I turned him on to Henny’s channel) and he loves the sounds. For an old school, Fender-Rhodes, neosoul-head like me, I still prefer a differnt app. Still supporting the community though. Thanks for the offering!
